- 0:15will be reading from various sources found online. As a reminder,

- 0:22blind or have other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:25read printed material. We'll begin with the first article, dated
- 0:29April seventh, from countrynow dot com. Country Music Hall of
- 0:35Famer Race Stephens suffers broken neck in fall. Country Music
- 0:40Hall of Famer Race Stephens, now eighty seven, suffered a
- 0:43fall in Nashville on Sunday that resulted in a broken neck.
- 0:47According to a statement from his team, the two time
- 0:49Grammy winner was briefly hospitalized and is now at home recovering.
- 0:53Doctors have instructed Stevens to wear a neck brace for
- 0:56the next four weeks. Despite the injury, he remains mobile
- 0:59and in good spirits as he heals. This health setback
- 1:03comes after Stephens suffered a mild heart attack early in
- 1:06July of twenty twenty five. At the time, he was
- 1:09hospitalized after experiencing chest pain and later underwent a minimally
- 1:13invasive heart catheterization, and that procedure was at Nashville Hospital.
- 1:18He subsequently had a second procedure a few weeks later,
- 1:21during which doctors placed two stants to trade additional blockages.
- 1:25After spending several days in a Nashville rehabilitation facility, he
- 1:29returned home to continue his recovery. Stevens and his team
- 1:33are welcoming thoughts and prayers during his recovery. He scheduled
- 1:37to release new album Favorites Old and New via Curb
- 1:40Records this weekend. The album will be released as planned.
- 1:43The thirteen track collection mixes timeless Ray Stephens classics with
- 1:47brand new material, highlighting Stephen's signature charm, humor, and versatility.
- 1:53Favorites Old and New brings together a thoughtful blend of
- 1:55beloved standards and fresh cuts from a range of songwriters,

- 2:08of my old favorite songs as well as favorite new
- 2:11ones penned by some talented writers. I just hope Ray
- 2:14Stevens fans enjoyed as much as Ray Stevens on favorites
- 2:18old and new. Stevens brings new life to timeless classics

- 2:22and Come Rain or Come Shine, all delivered with his

- 2:29new songs such as I Guess You've Been in Love

- 4:46will feature a rotating lineup of special guests such as
- 4:48George Burge, Laura Elena, Robert Randolph, Old Crow Medicine Show,
- 4:52Evan Horner, and Austin Williams. Next, Cody Johnson pays tribute
- 4:59to Merle Haggart with Footlights cover on ten year anniversary
- 5:02of his death. Cody Johnson is honoring one of his
- 5:06musical heroes, Merle Haggard with a cover of Footlights, released
- 5:10this week, which also marks the tenth anniversary of Haggard's passing.
- 5:14The release is made even more meaningful as Haggard was
- 5:16born on this day in nineteen thirty seven. Footlights were
- 5:20written by Haggard, lovingly known as the Poet of the
- 5:23common Man. The song offers an honest look at life
- 5:26as a touring musician, something Johnson can certainly relate to.
- 5:30It captures the feeling of aging and where that comes
- 5:32with life on the road, and the sense of being
- 5:34displaced without a place of truly calling home. On stage,
- 5:38he masks those emotions, transforming into almost a character as
- 5:42he performs, promising to try to hide the mood I'm
- 5:45really in and put on my old instomatic grin. He
- 5:49closes the song by reflecting on the reality behind living
- 5:51out his dream. I live the kind of life that
- 5:53most men only dream of. I make my living writing
- 5:56songs and singing them. But I'm forty one years old
- 5:58and I ain't got no play to go when it's over. Johnson,
- 6:03the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, is paid
- 6:05tribute to Haggard many times throughout his career and considers
- 6:08him to be one of his biggest musical influences. Merle
- 6:12was a poet. Cody previously shared when I'm happy, when
- 6:15I'm sad, when I'm frustrated, and everything in between. He
- 6:18has sung the soundtrack of My Life. Back in twenty
- 6:21twenty five, Cody Johnson was honored with the ACM Spirit
- 6:24Award for his authentic songwriter driven country music that carries
- 6:28forward the legacy of Merle Haggart. The award celebrates artists
- 6:32who chart their own course while delivering standout storytelling and songs,
- 6:36marking a full circle moment for Johnson as he continues
- 6:39to honor one of his greatest musical influences. Meanwhile, Johnson's
- 6:44gearing up for a huge year with more new music
- 6:46on the way, following a ruptured ear drum that sidelined
- 6:48him last fall. During an appearance on Dale Brisbee's Rodeo
- 6:52Time podcast, the Texas native revealed that his next album
- 6:56is completely finished and ready to go. I've already got
- 6:59the whole gun is loaded, he says. The ammunitions there
- 7:02were just fixing to start sending it, he teased. Cody
- 7:05Johnson is currently climbing the charts with his radio single
- 7:07The Fall, written by Bobby Pinson, Jeremy Stover and ray
- 7:11Fulcher from his Leather Deluxe Edition album. He's also keeping
- 7:15the momentum going on the road. His headlining tour continues
- 7:18this April before heading overseas and wrapping up in Europe
- 7:22this fall. Now we march on over to parade dot
- 7:26Com with the article dated April sixth, Country Star makes
- 7:30history after hit song takes sixty seven weeks to reach
- 7:34number one. Justin Moore just made country music history. The
- 7:39country star's twenty twenty four song Times Ticking finally reached
- 7:43number one on Billboard's Country Airplay Charts dated the week
- 7:47of April eleventh, marking the longest ascent any songs ever
- 7:51had in chart's history. As reported by Billboard on April third,
- 7:56Times Ticking took a whopping sixty seven weeks to hit
- 7:59number one, after first debuting at number fifty nine on
- 8:03the Country Airplate chart all the way back in December
- 8:06of twenty twenty four. It now holds the record for
- 8:09the longest climb, which was previously held by Travis Dennings
- 8:13after a few and Michael Ray's Whiskey and Rain, which
- 8:16both took sixty five weeks to reach the summit. Moore's
- 8:20Time Ticking has also spent six weeks on the Hot
- 8:22one hundred, peaking at number seven back in February. It
- 8:26also had a twenty one week stay on the Hot
- 8:28Country Songs chart, peaking at number twenty one in November
- 8:31of twenty twenty five. In addition to his record setting
- 8:35chart topper, Moore has also a significant chart stays with
- 8:39his hit songs like the ones that Didn't make it
- 8:41back Home that was forty eight weeks, Why We Drink
- 8:45forty eight weeks, with a Woman You Love forty seven weeks,
- 8:48and You Look Like I Need a Drink forty seven weeks.
- 8:51Though none of them took quite as long to hit
- 8:53number one, but More's Time's Ticking isn't the only song
- 8:57to take its sweet time rising on the Country airplay
- 8:59charts art as fifteen other songs have had a similar trajectory.
- 9:04Here are more songs that took over one year to
- 9:07hit number one on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. How
- 9:10about Corey Kent with This Heart fifty three weeks. Die
- 9:14from a Broken Heart by Mattie and Tay fifty four weeks,
- 9:17My Boy Lvi Shane fifty four weeks, Big Big Plans
- 9:21by Chris Lane, fifty five weeks Freedom Was a Highway
- 9:24by Jimmy Allen featuring Brad Paisley fifty five weeks. This
- 9:28Town's Been Too Good to Us by Dylan Scott fifty
- 9:31five weeks. Single Saturday Night by Cole Swindell fifty six weeks.
- 9:36To Be Loved by You by Parker McCollum fifty six weeks,
- 9:39Parmalley took fifty six weeks with Gonna Love You and
- 9:42Jimmy Allen fifty eight weeks, Makes Me Want to Chase
- 9:47Beckham for sixty weeks, had twenty three, Can't Have Mine

- 9:54McCreery sixty three weeks, After a Few by Travis Dennings
- 9:57sixty five weeks, Whiskey and by Michael Ray sixty five weeks,
- 10:02and the new record Time Sticking by Justin Moore sixty
- 10:05seven weeks. Now we walk on over to countryescentral dot
- 10:10com with the first article dated April sixth, Carter Faith
- 10:14and Chigo announced single That's When You Know. Teamed with
- 10:18well known Norwegian DJ Caigo, Carter Faith is set to
- 10:22release a new dance single, That's When You Know, and
- 10:25according to a joint announcement posted to Instagram earlier this week,
- 10:29the teaser shared across both artist accounts featuring footage apparently
- 10:32drawn from an accompanying music video showing the pair driving
- 10:35through a small town in a convertible. The clip seems
- 10:38to be edited like a series of flashbacks, suggesting a
- 10:41nostalgic visual treatment for the track. An audio preview included
- 10:45in the post includes or indicates the song leans firmly
- 10:49into the dance pop territory, a notable departure from the
- 10:53country sound. Faith has built her reputation on her debut album,
- 10:57Cherry Valley, released in twenty twenty five, drew widespread critical praise.
- 11:02She's currently preparing for an extensive tour that schedules including
- 11:06supporting role on Post Malone and Jelly Rolls Coal headlining
- 11:09tour for his part, Kigo, who has a mass tens
- 11:13of millions of monthly listeners, has been one of the
- 11:15top DJs in dance music for well over a decade,
- 11:18having previously worked with artists including Jonas Brothers, Ava Max,
- 11:22and Khalid. The pairing with Faith marks a crossover between
- 11:26the electronic and country spaces that has become increasingly common
- 11:29in mainstream pop. Next. More news from Johnny Bluesky's otherwise
- 11:36known as Stergil Simpson as he teases mutiny for the
- 11:38Masses tour. Stergil Simpson, performing under his Johnny Bluesky's and
- 11:43the Dark Clouds Moniker, has announced the Mutiny for the
- 11:46Masses tour in support of the character's second album, Mutiny
- 11:49After Midnight As We Know. The album was released on
- 11:52March thirteenth, initially as a physical only project, available on vinyl, CD,
- 11:57and cassette. However, as of this week, the album can
- 12:01be purchased digitally on iTunes. In a lengthy post ahead
- 12:05of the album's release, Simpson emphasized the deep kinship within
- 12:08the band drummer and backing vocalist Miles Miller, league guitarist
- 12:11Laura Jomits, bassist Kevin Black, and keyboard saxophonist Robbie Crowell,
- 12:16many of whom have toured together for more than thirteen years.
- 12:19This group is expected to be the touring band for
- 12:22the Mutiny on the Masses as well. The tour announcement
- 12:25arrived via stylized poster depicting a weathered document with an ashtray,
- 12:29Litz cigarette lighter and Trademark's sword motif and handwritten twenty
- 12:33twenty six tour notation. It's scheduled to begin in early
- 12:37September and run through late October, with shows and arenas
- 12:40and theaters. Consistent with prior statements from the project, performances
- 12:44will feature no opening act allowing the band to use
- 12:47the full allotted stage time. Although no venue is listed,
- 12:51the last stop on the tour will be October thirtieth
- 12:54in Lexington, Kentucky. Now we Cuddle up with people dot
- 12:59Com Country. Kenny Chesney reacts after his two thousand and
- 13:03nine song goes viral for a very uncomfortable reason. His
- 13:07first article dated April seventh, Kenny Chesney is reacting to
- 13:11his two thousand nine song Our Last Night going viral
- 13:14due to a recent tik tok video. Chesney song can
- 13:18be heard in the background of a tik tok video
- 13:20posted by a user named MICHAELA. West on March twenty ninth.
- 13:24The video was filmed at a bar in Huntsville, Alabama,
- 13:27following the twenty twenty six Lineman's Rodeo, an annual event
- 13:31in which linemen from around the country compete in various competitions.
- 13:35After the event, West and her friend visited a bar
- 13:38and the friend hid it off with one of the linemen,
- 13:41so West took to tik tok to track him down.
- 13:44My friend found her soulmate last night in Huntsville, Alabama
- 13:47after the Lineman Rodeo, and we know nothing about him
- 13:50except his name is Mike, and his friends kept calling
- 13:53him like the birds in Finding Nemo. Mike, Mike, Mike,
- 13:56help us get Nemo home West Road in the video's captions,
- 14:00and while many other tik tok users waited into the
- 14:02comments to express their support for the story, one commenter
- 14:06claiming to be Mike's wife added her own take. Hi,
- 14:09I'm Michael's wife. He's busy explaining this to our two
- 14:12children right now. While some twenty five million people have
- 14:16seen the original video and countless other linemen have created
- 14:20their own humorous takes on the situation, Kenny Chesney himself
- 14:24has also entered the discussion, posting his own tik tok
- 14:28video featuring the song and the caption heard we went
- 14:31out last night next. Ella Langley says she had to
- 14:35fight her label really hard to record you Look Like
- 14:37You Love Me the way she wanted. Ella Langley always
- 14:41believed in her song you Look Like You Love Me,
- 14:43but for a while she was the only one. The
- 14:46country star twenty six opened up about the hit song's
- 14:49origins on the This past Weekend with THEO Vaughn Podcast
- 14:53and revealed that she had to stand her ground in
- 14:55order to record it. The way she wanted. Everyone told
- 14:58me that song was not going to work. They were
- 15:00all like what she said. On Tuesday, April seventh, after
- 15:03we cut it, the label was like, we really think
- 15:05you need to go back in and sing these verses.
- 15:08I was like, I'm not singing it. I like the
- 15:10way they were. You need to sing it, they said.
- 15:14The song, a duet with Riley Green, begins with Langley
- 15:16speaking the first verse, a move that hearkens back to
- 15:19classic country songs of your She then sings the chorus
- 15:23before Green joins in to speak the second verse. I
- 15:26just thought I'm really hard on it, Langley said. They
- 15:28were like, this is going to be the worst performing
- 15:30song on the record. Sticking to her gut eventually paid
- 15:33off for Langley. As We Know As You Look You
- 15:36Like You Love Me went on to be the star's
- 15:38breakthrough hit upon its release back in June of twenty four,
- 15:42atop the country charts, mark Langley's first entry into the
- 15:44Billboard Hot one hundred, and won a number of awards,
- 15:47including Musical Event of the twenty twenty four CMA Awards,
- 15:51plus Single of the Year, Visual Media of the Year,
- 15:54and Music Event of the Year. At the twenty twenty
- 15:56five ACM Awards. I didn't know what it was going
- 15:59to do, but I believed it was different, Langley told Vaughan.
- 16:03I believed it was something that made me smile, and
- 16:05I enjoyed singing it, and I, like I said, once
- 16:07I put my mind to do something, if I go
- 16:09in and cut something, it's because I believe in it.
- 16:13The song, written by Langley, Green and Aaron Redery, is
- 16:16featured on Langley's debut studio album, Hungover, which came out
- 16:20back in August of twenty four. She joked to people
- 16:23in November that year that she and her co writers
- 16:25were laughing thinking this might cause some marriages and maybe
- 16:28some divorces and definitely some children. The song happened so organically,
- 16:33she said, Riley being on the song and writing his
- 16:35verse is the same thing. Everything happened the way it
- 16:38was supposed to, and I'm just really grateful to be
- 16:41here at the CMA Awards tonight. Her second album, Dandelion,
- 16:45is set for release on April tenth. She told Odyssey's
- 16:48Superstar Power Hour that the record was born from the
- 16:51newfound sense of confidence Langley has following her breakout few
- 16:55years I'm not guessing anymore. I'm not chasing anything. I'm
- 16:58not trying to be anything. She said. This record is
- 17:01exactly what I wanted out of it, and it's just
- 17:03me and I feel like this is going to be
- 17:05my record where everyone's going to be like that's where
- 17:07the artistry clicked for her next Casey Musgraves and Miranda
- 17:13Lambert among performers added to the twenty twenty six ACM
- 17:16Awards lineup. The twenty twenty six ACM Awards line up
- 17:21her performers is growing and growing. On Tuesday, the Academy
- 17:24of Country Music, Prime Video and Dick Clark Productions announced
- 17:27Casey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, and Little Big Town will take
- 17:31the stage for performances at this year's ACM Awards in
- 17:34Las Vegas. Musgraves thirty seven, will perform a new song
- 17:38from her upcoming Middle of Nowhere album. It's unclear she'll
- 17:42share any stage time with Lambert, forty two, who's featured
- 17:44on the song Horses and Divorces from the forthcoming project.
- 17:48The duet marks a reunion for the Mama's Broken Heart
- 17:51collaborators following years of tension, as Musgraves recently explained on
- 17:55an interview with NPR, and we mentioned earlier last month, Johnson,
- 18:00Landy Wilson, and Riley Green were announced as the first
- 18:02round of artists set to perform at the sixty first
- 18:05Academy of Country Music Awards. Wilson thirty three, will premiere
- 18:09her song Can't Sit Still, while Green thirty seven is
- 18:12set to sing Change My Mind at the time. The
- 18:15Academy of Country Music, Prime Video and Dick Clark Productions
- 18:18also announced Patrick mentioned will execute produce the ceremony a
- 18:23longtime executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapor. The twenty twenty
- 18:27six ACM Awards host has yet to be revealed. Nominations
- 18:30are currently unknown. The awards show will go down at
- 18:34the MGM Grand Garden Arena that'll be in Las Vegas,
- 18:37of course, at eight o'clock Eastern on Sunday May seventeenth,
- 18:40and stream live on Prime Video. Viewers can also watch
- 18:44via the Amazon Music channel, on Twitch and the Amazon
- 18:46Music app. Tickets to attend the twenty six ACM Awards
- 18:51are available now to purchase via axs Well. We opened
- 18:55the program with the story on Justin Moore, but here's
- 18:57an update. On April eighth from the boot. Justin Moore
- 19:01suffers severe knee injury after skiing accident. Justin Moore has
- 19:06a full slate of shows lined up around the country
- 19:08as we know, but fans have been noticing that he
- 19:10is performing with a brace on his leg and walking
- 19:13with a bad lamp. The Times Ticking singer was a
- 19:15guest on Country Countdown USA, where he detailed what happened
- 19:19to him. He incurred an injury while out on the
- 19:21slopes with his family on vacation. We just got back
- 19:24from skiing in Aspen where I tore my mcl like
- 19:26an idiot. It didn't require surgery, More explained, so that's
- 19:30the good news. Fans at Moore's concerts have noticed the
- 19:33giant brace on his legs, so he's had to address
- 19:35the injury both on stage and online for his fans. More,
- 19:39his wife and their four kids are avid skiers, and
- 19:42he actually considers himself pretty skilled on the slopes, but
- 19:45this time things didn't go as planned. We've been taking
- 19:48the kids skiing for spring break for about ten years.
- 19:52I was skiing the best I have in years. I
- 19:54was skiing with good skiers. I kept up with him
- 19:56for four or five runs. He describes, we went through
- 19:59this trick art, then my knee went in one direction
- 20:02and the rest of my leg went in the other.
- 20:03I knew from playing sports that it wasn't good. According
- 20:07to the Cleveland Clinic, a torn MCL is damaged to
- 20:10the medial collateral ligament, which is a major ligament that's
- 20:13located on the inner side of your knee. The tear
- 20:16can be partial or complete. Moore's was a complete tear.
- 20:20Doesn't seem like his calendar is going to be affected, though.
- 20:22Justin Moore's busy touring schedule will not stop while he
- 20:25rehabs from his injury. He has shows books solid all
- 20:28the way through September of the year and likely beyond.
- 20:31Just expect a little less movement from the Superstar while
- 20:34on stage, but the singing and guitars will still be
- 20:36on point. Next signs point to Morgan Wallen releasing a
- 20:42double album next As many are anxiously awaiting the next
- 20:47season of Morgan Wallen Music, the superstar has already started
- 20:50to tease the fact that he will share new music
- 20:52real soon. According to Billboard, Wallin said, I don't know
- 20:56exactly when I'm going to do or what I'm going
- 20:58to do as far as this album, I think I'm
- 21:01on seven or eight singles right now, so it's probably
- 21:03nearing the end of the album. I'm trying to figure
- 21:05that out. There seems to be a hidden message in
- 21:08that statement, and that's all signs are pointing to another
- 21:10double album from Wallin. In country music, there is a
- 21:14basic cycle that most, if not all, artists use for
- 21:16each album. When the album comes out, there are usually
- 21:19three to four songs off each full length record that
- 21:22are released on their own as singles in order to
- 21:24push album streams and sales. You can think of it
- 21:28as a small billboard for the full length record. Each
- 21:30single takes approximately three to six months to climb the charts,
- 21:34so if you release four singles, that would take about
- 21:36two years to complete their chart cycle. By then the
- 21:39artist will have all of it out and is ready
- 21:42to release a new record. Volunteering this next project already
- 21:46has seven to eight singles chosen, would lend itself to
- 21:49thinking there's another double album in store for fans. The
- 21:52I'm a Problem hitmaker released his first double album back
- 21:55in twenty twenty one with Dangerous the double album. The
- 21:58following project twenty three's One Thing at a Time was
- 22:02also a lengthy album with thirty six tracks. It would
- 22:05seem these double collections are now the norm for Wallin.
- 22:09Now for a couple of semi connected lists from the Boot,
- 22:14cheers it says tip one back for the thirteen best
- 22:17Country Songs about beer. Country music and beer are certainly
- 22:21no strangers to one another. In fact, beer drinking songs
- 22:24play a very central role in the genre, as this
- 22:27list of the best country songs from The Boot about
- 22:30beer demonstrates. You'll find plenty of legendary country stars on
- 22:34Taste of Countries roundup of the country songs about beer.
- 22:37Taste of Country and The Boot are really the same company.
- 22:40Look for the iconic names, including Willie Nelson, George Jones,
- 22:43Garth Brooks, Toby Keith and Moore. Among the Sudsey titles
- 22:46that made the cut. Country's younger generation is also well represented.
- 22:51Not all of the biggest country songs about beer are
- 22:53party anthems, however. Sure there are expected summer songs about
- 22:57downing a few cold ones with your friends over the weekend,
- 23:00but in the list you'll also find songs about heartbreak, pain,
- 23:03and even the loss of loved ones all centered around
- 23:06country music's favorite pain killer. So here are thirteen great
- 23:10country songs from the boot slash Taste of Country. First
- 23:14of all, Billy Currington Pretty Good at Drinking Beer scored
- 23:17his fifth number one hit in twenty ten with Pretty
- 23:19Good at Drinking Beer. Hank Williams Junior tier in My Beer.
- 23:25Few performances are associated with good time drinking songs as
- 23:28much as Hank Williams Junior. This isn't a hell raising
- 23:31drinking song like some of his others, though the mournful
- 23:33lyrics from him drinking away lost love lamenting, There's a
- 23:36tear in my beer because I'm crying for you, Dear,
- 23:39you are on my lonely mind. How about Kenny Chesney
- 23:42Beer in Mexico. This is one of my favorites. Kenny
- 23:45Chesney took inspiration for Beer in Mexico from a birthday
- 23:48party for Sammy Hager that he attended to back in
- 23:50Cabo San Lucas. He's got a great horn section in it.
- 23:54Kip Moore Beer Money. Kip Moore scored one of his
- 23:56biggest early hits with Beer Money, the third single from
- 23:59his debut at album Up All Night in twenty twelve
- 24:03Luke Brian Drink a Beer. Brian is one of country
- 24:06artists most associated with fun, high energy partying songs, but
- 24:10Drink a Beer is far from that. Written by Jim
- 24:13Beavers and little known singer songwriter named Chris Stapleton, Drink
- 24:17a Beer is a somber reflection on living through the
- 24:19loss of a loved one, and Brian brought an especially
- 24:22vulnerable element to his vocal performance. Brooks and Dun's Beer Thirty.
- 24:27Brooks and Dunn captured a universal truth with their top
- 24:29twenty hit Beer thirty in nineteen ninety nine. Billy's Got
- 24:34His Beer Goggles On from Neil McCoy. McCoy has a
- 24:37deaf touch with humorous material that might fall flat in
- 24:40the hands of another artist, Chris Young's Save Water Drink Beer.
- 24:45It's really difficult to find a country drinking song with
- 24:48an original slant, but Chris Young managed it when he
- 24:50recorded Save Water Drink Beer for his Neon album in
- 24:54twenty eleven. Tom T Hall's I Like Beer. Tom T.
- 24:59Hall was one of country mist greatest songwriters of all time,
- 25:02but it was not above a fun drinking song. Meanwhile,
- 25:06the boot taste of Country has come up with a
- 25:08list of the country stars who've been arrested on DUI charges.
- 25:13Country music has always had a little bit too close
- 25:15of a relationship with drinking, I guess, so it's no
- 25:17surprise that some of the biggest stars in country music
- 25:19have been arrested for DUI. George Jones faced it arrest
- 25:24for drinking and driving not once, but twice, and some
- 25:26of the other country singers you'll find on this list
- 25:29include famously troubled stars. Others are more registered with blood
- 25:34alcohol content well over the legal limit when they were
- 25:36arrested for drunk driving. And it's no surprise that most
- 25:39of the country stars who've been charged with DUI later
- 25:41pleaded guilty, though none of them faced any real significant
- 25:45jail time. That's not true of everyone, however. Two of
- 25:48the country singers who've been charged with DUI later beat
- 25:51the charges against them. So this is a gallery of
- 25:54stars who've been charged with DUI from the boot slash
- 25:57Taste of Country. Of All, George Jones was one of
- 26:01the most legendary drinkers in country music history, and he
- 26:04was arrested on two different occasions for duy. First instance
- 26:08took place in nineteen eighty two, and the second one
- 26:12was in nineteen ninety nine. Sam Hunt. Hunt's blood alcohol
- 26:17level was more than twice the legal limit when Nashville
- 26:19police arrested him for DUI in November of twenty nineteen
- 26:23after drivers reported him going the wrong way on street
- 26:26in East Nashville. Morgan Wallen Wallen has been in and
- 26:31out of the headlines over the years for a series
- 26:33of legal infractions in which alcohol played a role, but
- 26:36his DUI arrest in twenty sixteen went largely unreported. On
- 26:42January eighteenth of that year, he faced charges of misdemeanor
- 26:44driving under the influence after that arrest, which prosecutors later dropped.
- 26:50Glenn Campbell was arrested and charged with DUI and hit
- 26:53and run after he slammed his BMW into another car
- 26:56and fled the scene in Arizona back in November of
- 26:59two thousand and three, when known to Judd. Judd was
- 27:03arrested and charged with DUI in November of two thousand
- 27:06and two when police observed her speeding near Music Row
- 27:09in Nashville. She pleaded guilty to DUI in December of
- 27:13twenty thirteen and received a suspended sentence and a year
- 27:17of probation. Joe Don Rooney Rascal Flats guitarist and singer
- 27:22Joe Don Rooney was arrested for DUI in September of
- 27:25twenty one after crashing his car into a tree in
- 27:29the early morning hours in an affluent Nashville suburb. Randy
- 27:34Travis Police in Texas arrested Randy Travis for d WI
- 27:37in August of twenty twelve after he was involved in
- 27:40a one car accident. His blood alcohol was nearly three
- 27:44times the legal limit, and he reportedly resisted arrest and
- 27:47threatened arresting officers. Mindy McCready was one of the most
- 27:52troubled singers in country music history, and she was arrested
- 27:55and charged with DUI in May of two thousand and five.
- 27:59Michael Ray was arrested and charged with DUI in Florida
- 28:02after bumping another car in a fast food driveway in
- 28:05December of twenty seventeen, and Tanner Usury, Texas country singer
- 28:10was arrested just a week ago in Collin County, Texas.
- 28:13He faces charges for his second DWY, which is a
- 28:17Class A misdemeanor in Texas and can carry jail time.
