- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, That's why is a founding member of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to b fytw episode two sixty nine.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It is nice twice.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's just a normal show. We're gonna play some fun
- 0:54Speaker 2: panel games.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Quote unquote normal.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's already started to kind of We're gonna have
- 1:00Speaker 2: a normal show. We're gonna have some fun playing some
- 1:02Speaker 2: panel show style of games for a podcast. But I'm
- 1:07Speaker 2: gonna take things off the rails myself a little bit.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Is there something I just need to get off my chest?
- 1:14Speaker 2: So sure, Yeah, I think it's safe to say that
- 1:19Speaker 2: the previous podcast episode did not end the way any
- 1:22Speaker 2: of us wanted.
- 1:23Speaker 3: No oh yeah, no, no, no, no no.
- 1:26Speaker 2: And there's something that's been weighing on me since and
- 1:28Speaker 2: I just really need to just kind of air it,
- 1:30Speaker 2: and I want it out there in public people hear.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Me say this.
- 1:35Speaker 2: We do a podcast where one sober guy drags two
- 1:41Speaker 2: stoners through, you know, multiple games, and we've made a
- 1:44Speaker 2: lot of a lot of jokes and a lot of
- 1:46Speaker 2: bits about you guys being the dream team because your
- 1:49Speaker 2: dream of winning someday, you know. And I've made a
- 1:53Speaker 2: fair amount of jokes about each of your intelligences right,
- 1:58Speaker 2: which it awareness is just a bit quendible. But but
- 2:04Speaker 2: it feels like the more I do it, the more
- 2:08Speaker 2: it feels wrong because I don't I don't think of
- 2:15Speaker 2: you as not intelligent. You guys are crazy smart. Like
- 2:20Speaker 2: Augie's skills at dungeon mastering are incredible and awe inspiring
- 2:26Speaker 2: to me. Holy crape wrangling cat, it's very very good.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And Stevie plays dumb a lot for laughs and he's
- 2:37Speaker 2: very very very good at it. But I lived with
- 2:41Speaker 2: this moment. I know how smart he is, and he's
- 2:46Speaker 2: incredibly intelligent, and he chooses to use that intelligent to
- 2:50Speaker 2: bring people joy. So I just wanted to say this
- 2:53Speaker 2: show would not be even ten five one percent is
- 2:58Speaker 2: good without either of the dude with you. Obviously we
- 3:02Speaker 2: could not see just too Yeah, So in that vein
- 3:08Speaker 2: of sharing joy with each other and uh I kind
- 3:13Speaker 2: of boosting each other up, I have a slightly different
- 3:15Speaker 2: introduction plan. So we're gonna start with he's a gamer
- 3:18Speaker 2: and a storyteller, and he used to be my youngest friend.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Now he's just an awesome one. It's aug He's again.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I thought you're gonna be like he used to be
- 3:39Speaker 5: my youngest friend. But now he can't hide the gray
- 3:42Speaker 5: hairs in his beard.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, he's going gray.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Get man going gray.
- 3:51Speaker 2: It's happening. We're also okay, So I have a different
- 3:56Speaker 2: kind of question for you. Give me a number between
- 4:00Speaker 2: one and ten. Six, six, that's a good one. That's
- 4:05Speaker 2: a good one. Might be a little high, we'll see,
- 4:08Speaker 2: all right, and I'm gonna turn it over to he's
- 4:10Speaker 2: a veteran and a podcaster. And he's a veteran podcaster.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's Stevie.
- 4:15Speaker 3: It's Steve.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's Steve.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Sure, I am Steevie.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yes, same question. Give me a number between one and ten.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Oh ship, all right, I am your host Pantsil saron O.
- 4:34Speaker 6: You hit it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He'll check some stars for a laugh or two. And
- 4:54Speaker 2: my number, my number is going to be ten. Ten. Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Now you might be wondering what to ask these numbers.
- 5:00Speaker 3: A little bit, yeah, kind of curious.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Well, we're doing a kind of spontaneous and not for
- 5:05Speaker 2: points rules of the game. Oh god, you guys have
- 5:08Speaker 2: each given me a number. Give that many compliments to
- 5:12Speaker 2: your fellow co hosts. We'll start We'll start with Aggy
- 5:17Speaker 2: and go around the table. Because is gonna be done first,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and I it's each well not six to each person,
- 5:25Speaker 2: but six total. Okay, yeah, yeah, so three yeah, three
- 5:28Speaker 2: and three for Aggie. Stevie's gonna have to break it
- 5:30Speaker 2: up four and five somehow, and I'll do five and five.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I'll split that.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Start us off.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Okay, Aaron, you are an awesome actor, marvelous writerly ship
- 5:44Speaker 7: and one of my best friends.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm glowing. That's three.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Here's a free one that you get automatically. Has been
- 5:52Speaker 3: reading your book.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Holy, that's awesome, awesome, just over the movie. Uh, do
- 6:02Speaker 2: you want to do Stevie or do you want to
- 6:03Speaker 2: go to the next person around table?
- 6:05Speaker 5: And I could do Stevie real quick.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Okay, most people do. Get him out of here.
- 6:11Speaker 2: There's one. You're You're You're an efficient lover.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I'm an overachiever.
- 6:23Speaker 5: You're enthusiastic.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yes, that's what it's okay enough.
- 6:28Speaker 5: You're a brave motherfucker. Okay, you are you deal with
- 6:34Speaker 5: a lot. You are exceptionally kind. Yeah, and you're like
- 6:42Speaker 5: a brother to me.
- 6:44Speaker 3: You are my brother.
- 6:45Speaker 2: That's fantastic. Yeah, I love that.
- 6:47Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 6:48Speaker 2: So as done me. You want to go first first?
- 6:53Speaker 3: All right?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Who do you want to get four and five too?
- 6:54Speaker 2: It's up to you how you break it up.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I don't know I'm gonna break it up, but I
- 6:57Speaker 3: doesn't want to start with Aaron.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Oh boy, here Aaron.
- 7:01Speaker 3: With everything that's gone on with all of us in
- 7:04Speaker 3: the last like eight nine years and shit when we
- 7:07Speaker 3: started the podcasting and all that crap or all that stuff. Man,
- 7:10Speaker 3: And though it was such a tragedy, what did happen
- 7:14Speaker 3: to Ray? And we got a great time with him? Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 3: I think you and I grew a lot closer when
- 7:21Speaker 3: unfortunately he started getting all and everything. I think we
- 7:23Speaker 3: really started to connect more than we did previously. Like, yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 3: we hung out, we're friends and shit. But I think
- 7:28Speaker 3: then our bond became a lot, a lot tighter, man.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And I think that helped me get through a lot
- 7:33Speaker 3: of stuff when I was trying to take care of her, hey, okay,
- 7:35Speaker 3: because I was trying to not be all emotional around
- 7:38Speaker 3: him and ship when out, you know, because he's going
- 7:39Speaker 3: through shit and I don't know, you guys, you guys
- 7:42Speaker 3: held me up a lot, Like you guys made it
- 7:45Speaker 3: possible that I couldn't take care of him and not
- 7:47Speaker 3: like show it as much.
- 7:48Speaker 2: You know, Yeah, I'm gonna count that as like three
- 7:50Speaker 2: compliments because otherwise you're gonna have to pace yourself.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I can't. The whole show is gonna be us as
- 7:55Speaker 3: doing the Uh you can find the best in everybody,
- 8:05Speaker 3: And I'm being one hundred percent honest man, Like, I've
- 8:08Speaker 3: got to meet some really great people because of you.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I know you said that a few times, like we
- 8:12Speaker 3: went on trips and ship but seriously getting me to
- 8:15Speaker 3: meet like the Ultra Hope girls, fucking gate Leapers due
- 8:19Speaker 3: there are so many people that I got to meet
- 8:22Speaker 3: that because you were able to go out there and
- 8:25Speaker 3: make that connection and then make a connection between us
- 8:28Speaker 3: and them, and it was fucking amazing. And now we
- 8:30Speaker 3: got friends, like more friends than we have. You know,
- 8:33Speaker 3: it's great.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That's for.
- 8:37Speaker 3: About the little one. Your dick is bigger and everybody
- 8:41Speaker 3: thinks it is.
- 8:44Speaker 8: That's pretty sure energy, but no, no, it's it is bigger.
- 8:53Speaker 5: But how do you think the boon got so many craters?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Click click boom stamming a man?
- 9:00Speaker 8: Lord for I can't even say the brother one because
- 9:10Speaker 8: that is true.
- 9:11Speaker 3: We've fucking I've known you since you were a Literally
- 9:15Speaker 3: I was like, I love how you were willing to
- 9:18Speaker 3: pretty much do anything to make sure any tasks will
- 9:22Speaker 3: get done, whether it's helping out the house, the family,
- 9:27Speaker 3: going on trips with like your mom and stuff just
- 9:29Speaker 3: to help her out, and ship. She doesn't live in
- 9:31Speaker 3: the same city as us, man like you will, you'll
- 9:34Speaker 3: like go out for hours and do ship that. Most
- 9:36Speaker 3: people will just be like, no, I'm fucking tired or whatever,
- 9:39Speaker 3: and you go and do it. You have that energy
- 9:41Speaker 3: and they drive and I fucking love that. It means
- 9:44Speaker 3: a lot man to like one. I would like to
- 9:49Speaker 3: like to stay the same thing in the intelligence, but
- 9:52Speaker 3: you already hit that. And we all know how fucking
- 9:54Speaker 3: smart Augie really fucking is.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I'm an account in anyway. That's seven.
- 9:57Speaker 3: That's fair. But ver you say, you say, I'm brave
- 10:04Speaker 3: and I've gone through some experiences and ship and I
- 10:07Speaker 3: have whatever. But dude, you have done nothing less than
- 10:10Speaker 3: that yourself. You gotta think what you've put your You
- 10:14Speaker 3: put your life in danger. You just don't even realize
- 10:15Speaker 3: it because you were doing it for your fucking job.
- 10:18Speaker 3: You're in like these cages with these fucking wild animals
- 10:21Speaker 3: and ship like rhinos and shit, and like you were
- 10:25Speaker 3: just like, no, I gotta take care of this fucking
- 10:27Speaker 3: animal and don't even like really second guess if it's
- 10:29Speaker 3: gonna run you down and ship like that is like
- 10:31Speaker 3: to be able to do that, to walk by those
- 10:34Speaker 3: cages and ship and not flinch, you know, Yeah, it's
- 10:37Speaker 3: fucking that's impressive as fuck.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Oh it was terrified.
- 10:41Speaker 3: He didn't show it. Man, Uh well more, okay, here's
- 10:46Speaker 3: here's a little ishki kind of big one. If you
- 10:49Speaker 3: ever want to beat any video game, have Aggie play
- 10:52Speaker 3: it with you, and he will destroy everything like you
- 10:57Speaker 3: will walk you through it. It's insane.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I thought I would good at video games, and then
- 11:01Speaker 2: I watched Auby on multiple streams in our discord, and
- 11:05Speaker 2: I slowed my role really right. I was like, I'm
- 11:09Speaker 2: a forty year old man. I should not be as
- 11:12Speaker 2: good as him. So I accept that now.
- 11:14Speaker 3: He's man Like. I wasn't a huge Halo person, but
- 11:17Speaker 3: you got me and Matt to play Halo with you,
- 11:19Speaker 3: and I'm just like, okay, all he knows this. Well,
- 11:21Speaker 3: we'll play a brand new game that just came out,
- 11:24Speaker 3: and he'll have had it all researched and know like
- 11:26Speaker 3: the mechanics and what the dude to walk me through
- 11:28Speaker 3: it because I don't learn that way. Yeah, and it's
- 11:31Speaker 3: just so impressive, like, yeah, he knows his fucking game,
- 11:33Speaker 3: fucking Pale World when that fucking thing came out, all
- 11:36Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, we can build factories with these little
- 11:38Speaker 3: Pokemon looking motherfuckers and shit, and I'm just like, you can't,
- 11:41Speaker 3: you know, you don't just shoot them. I'm like, what
- 11:43Speaker 3: the fuck?
- 11:43Speaker 6: Man?
- 11:45Speaker 2: All right, you have nine, so you're done, all right,
- 11:48Speaker 2: well done, all right. Now I'm gonna blast through mine
- 11:50Speaker 2: because otherwise we're gonna be just sorry. We all picked
- 11:52Speaker 2: tigh numbers, all right, So I am going to count
- 11:57Speaker 2: you being a phenomenal dungeon master, but I'm gonna I'm
- 11:59Speaker 2: gonna for a little bit because the only full campaign
- 12:03Speaker 2: I've gotten to do with you is one that was
- 12:04Speaker 2: pre written, so I have not gotten to see your creativity. However,
- 12:09Speaker 2: I have seen your incredible grasp of the mechanics of
- 12:13Speaker 2: the game and also being able to herd three very
- 12:17Speaker 2: unruly cats, three incredibly unruly cats who went through the
- 12:22Speaker 2: last dungeon we played backwards.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Not like we are backs were like.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Well no, no, no, we weren't walking backwards. We got to
- 12:29Speaker 2: the like the big room, and then went through the
- 12:32Speaker 2: rest of the dungeon.
- 12:33Speaker 5: They killed the big boss.
- 12:36Speaker 3: And why is everything so easy? This doesn't make sense.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Everything should be getting harder, like.
- 12:42Speaker 5: We just somehow, just how it went from like a
- 12:45Speaker 5: challenge writing seven to like a challenge writing like one eighth.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Killed those three bitches so fast?
- 12:52Speaker 3: How uh?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Your gaming prowess we've already spoken of is incredible. I
- 12:58Speaker 2: enjoy watching you tear apart anything from cyberpunk to SIEV.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Your comedy instincts have honed so much over the past
- 13:10Speaker 2: two hundred episodes. I think of you as a sniper, yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 2: because you will wait for that perfect headshot. It is
- 13:16Speaker 2: not even throwing out a one liner that bowls us
- 13:20Speaker 2: all over nice and we're suddenly laughing harder than we
- 13:23Speaker 2: have in the entire.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Episode, just based the weed just slowing me down.
- 13:27Speaker 3: I don't want to add on today. Okay, he is
- 13:29Speaker 3: a sniper, but with an RPG.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Target motherfucker. But everything, everybody, it's everybody fantastic.
- 13:38Speaker 5: And if I miss it's a glorious explosion.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I miss uh. And seeing your growth in that arena
- 13:44Speaker 2: has been truly truly humbling and something I really enjoy.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Let's see what else I love your love of animals
- 13:55Speaker 2: like that is something I feel very strong kinship too.
- 13:57Speaker 5: I I gotta give credit to Steve.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And and uh, credit to him. He did that for
- 14:04Speaker 2: a lot of people.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Yeah, like the old man he got, he got other
- 14:07Speaker 3: people into.
- 14:08Speaker 5: The inspired a lot of kids by age.
- 14:11Speaker 2: But I am, I am genuinely envious that you have
- 14:14Speaker 2: a job where you can work in an arena of sorts,
- 14:17Speaker 2: where you can do that sort of thing. Uh and uh,
- 14:20Speaker 2: I am very lucky. I am. I'm grateful that you
- 14:23Speaker 2: have that, but I'm also envious. So I too wish
- 14:25Speaker 2: I could work in.
- 14:26Speaker 5: A thing went through a lot of ship to get there.
- 14:28Speaker 5: That's to be fair. So you know, just keep trying, man.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And uh, there's going to be a character, with your permission,
- 14:38Speaker 2: based on you in my next book.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Oh god, yeah, go ahead, yes, make sure he dies horribly.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Do you already have a concept or not yet?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Kind of Oh shit? I was, well, no, I'm not
- 14:51Speaker 2: going to say it. I'm not gonna spoil anything.
- 14:53Speaker 5: You guys thought you were going to get something.
- 14:55Speaker 9: Yeah, sorry, to finish your two books first, Stevie, you
- 15:01Speaker 9: are largely to blame for my love of computers, which
- 15:06Speaker 9: I'm deeply grateful for.
- 15:07Speaker 2: It's one of my favorite and most engrossing hobbies that
- 15:11Speaker 2: I enjoy to this day, all kinds of.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Commuter stuff.
- 15:16Speaker 3: That is huge, that's funny, huge.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Sharing. Playing NHL hockey games with you is one of
- 15:22Speaker 2: my favorite things. Whenever we get to do it. I'm excited,
- 15:26Speaker 2: like for three days prior to when we're gonna do it.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I'm like, we're gonna play hockey. We're gona play hockey.
- 15:31Speaker 2: We're gonna play and I'm jazzed about it, man, because
- 15:33Speaker 2: it brings back so much good feelings.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Yes, and really it.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Is still so much fun to this day, especially playing
- 15:41Speaker 2: with you, because you enable joy in everyone around you,
- 15:46Speaker 2: and you are so proficient at it by this point
- 15:49Speaker 2: that I think you do it automatically without even thinking
- 15:51Speaker 2: about it. I think people you meet are instantly charmed.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And this might feel like a backhanded compliment, but I
- 15:59Speaker 2: genuinely mean it in a very positive way. You are
- 16:02Speaker 2: among a small group of people who make me feel proud.
- 16:07Speaker 3: To be bald awesome.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I put you in the same company as Patrick Stewart
- 16:14Speaker 2: Stone called Steve Austin, Jason Statham, like genuinely, like I
- 16:21Speaker 2: I look at you, and I think of like a
- 16:23Speaker 2: bald I kin just because you have been for so long,
- 16:26Speaker 2: and I don't feel bad about being bald because of
- 16:29Speaker 2: people like you. Thank I genuinely because because of you
- 16:33Speaker 2: and people like I'm sorry I mend.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Technician on. Uh.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know, he's a legitimate proof that you don't need
- 16:46Speaker 2: hair to be awesome.
- 16:48Speaker 3: The song is wrong, and it's true.
- 16:52Speaker 5: You don't, you don't.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And finally you are you beat me to it because
- 16:57Speaker 2: I was gonna end with that is that our friendship
- 17:00Speaker 2: has definitely deepened since we lost Torge and and I
- 17:05Speaker 2: I honestly think that I don't think of it as
- 17:07Speaker 2: like a tragic thing, but so much as he's a
- 17:13Speaker 2: part of that, right, Like he enabled us to grow
- 17:18Speaker 2: closer together just by being him and just by bringing
- 17:24Speaker 2: us all together in the same room and saying, hey,
- 17:27Speaker 2: let's do this silly podcast and uh and and and
- 17:32Speaker 2: when when that particular chapter of our lives ended, I
- 17:37Speaker 2: was incredibly grateful that.
- 17:39Speaker 4: You were there.
- 17:41Speaker 3: And you Yeah, seriously, all right, no more tears.
- 17:46Speaker 2: We got the happy, good love positivity. Now let's have
- 17:50Speaker 2: a different kind of tears.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Ones.
- 17:54Speaker 2: We're gonna play very It's been a positive episode so far,
- 18:02Speaker 2: and we're not gonna change that. We're gonna play Our
- 18:04Speaker 2: first game is gonna be Have. I got good news
- 18:06Speaker 2: for you, And unlike the usual way we play, Have
- 18:09Speaker 2: I got good news for you, where I picked three
- 18:11Speaker 2: very bad news stories the best one. In this case,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I got what I think are three pretty good news stories.
- 18:16Speaker 2: But I want you to decide which of these is
- 18:18Speaker 2: the best. The player who picks the best or the
- 18:20Speaker 2: second best. If neither player gets it, will win the
- 18:22Speaker 2: game and earn one episode point. Our first story, ancient
- 18:26Speaker 2: footprints show first known land animal froliced with a friend
- 18:31Speaker 2: on a rainy day. This is to me, this is
- 18:36Speaker 2: like just how crazy good is science.
- 18:39Speaker 5: It's gotten there.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Scientists in Australia have identified the oldest known fossil footprints
- 18:46Speaker 2: of a reptile like animal, dated to around three hundred
- 18:50Speaker 2: and fifty million years ago, and they can tell from
- 18:56Speaker 2: the stone that they pulled these footprints from it was
- 19:01Speaker 2: just after it rained, and there was a second different
- 19:05Speaker 2: creature there on the stone with him, so it's it's
- 19:09Speaker 2: it's fairly safe to say that these two were playing
- 19:14Speaker 2: after the ring. Oh my god, it's adorable.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Huh oh, that's I mean, that makes sense. And that
- 19:20Speaker 5: makes sense because if the first the first ones out
- 19:22Speaker 5: of the ocean will probably happened after a rainy day
- 19:25Speaker 5: because they would have been attracted to that heat, moisture
- 19:28Speaker 5: and the scent from it, and yeah, it would have
- 19:31Speaker 5: been the first amphibians.
- 19:32Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Yeah, if only our one day, our science will get
- 19:37Speaker 5: to the point where we could probably even you know,
- 19:40Speaker 5: like its cyberpunk where they can like recreate. Yeah, because
- 19:44Speaker 5: there's like enough evidence to kind of piece everything together.
- 19:47Speaker 5: One day we'll get to that too, and that will
- 19:49Speaker 5: be really cool to see like how actually things took
- 19:53Speaker 5: place way back then because it was there's just so
- 19:56Speaker 5: much and so much of it was lost and some
- 19:59Speaker 5: of it's still being discovered. It's it's crazy.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yeah, there's not much to make fun of on.
- 20:07Speaker 5: This, right, It's kind of cool. It's like a Disney Now.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Are they sure they were frolicking or were they was
- 20:15Speaker 5: desperate early case of cat and mouse.
- 20:19Speaker 2: It could have been a hunting thing. I guess it.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Didn't quite get their land legs yet, so they're just
- 20:24Speaker 5: kind of like stumbling o ye.
- 20:30Speaker 2: According to it was a reptile like animal. Uh. The
- 20:35Speaker 2: animal may have been about two and a half feet long,
- 20:38Speaker 2: and taken into account the the walking gate recorded in
- 20:43Speaker 2: the tracks, it may have looked something like today's monitor lizards.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Oh okay, cool, cool, So I was thinking too, a.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Lizard and the footprints contained a crucial clue that reveals
- 20:54Speaker 2: this lizard being lived permanently on land. It had claws.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, definitely, it's.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yes, because they simply didn't need claws, and water.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Turtles have claws, yeah, to a degree, so like a
- 21:07Speaker 5: different kind of claw.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Like.
- 21:08Speaker 5: So if you compare like a turtle's claw to say
- 21:12Speaker 5: a land animal's claw, they they're both claws. They look differently.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Ones meant for raking and stuff and the other ones
- 21:20Speaker 5: meant for.
- 21:23Speaker 2: So here's the sequence of events. One of these reptile
- 21:27Speaker 2: like creatures walked across this patch of ground before it
- 21:30Speaker 2: began to rain. Researchers can tell this because preserved splashes
- 21:34Speaker 2: from the rain drop have partially obscured this first set
- 21:37Speaker 2: of prints. And then after the shower passed and before
- 21:40Speaker 2: the ground dried, two more of these creatures ran in
- 21:43Speaker 2: the opposite direction. Oh, it's assumed that it was the
- 21:49Speaker 2: same primitive lizard that returned the way it came after
- 21:52Speaker 2: making a friend because they were walking together. I mean,
- 21:58Speaker 2: probably never know for sure. Yeah, could have been a
- 22:02Speaker 2: could have been a female and part of a mating ritual.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Who knows her?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 22:06Speaker 5: Yeah, who knows. That's awesome, that's cool.
- 22:10Speaker 2: That is our first story. Ready for story number two.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Owner buys her destructive cat a five thousand dollars gold
- 22:18Speaker 2: tooth and becomes an Internet sensation.
- 22:22Speaker 3: What the buck?
- 22:24Speaker 5: So, I'm guessing it cracked a canine.
- 22:25Speaker 2: So the cat's name is Tofu.
- 22:27Speaker 3: The cat has a canine? The only joke I got today.
- 22:35Speaker 5: I'm sorry, all right.
- 22:37Speaker 2: The cat Tofu was a stray hitting from Golden Colorado.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No one knows where she came from, but she was
- 22:42Speaker 2: found on the streets when she was only ten months old.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Aw she was taken to a shelter. Her owner founder
- 22:51Speaker 2: in the shelter, and the cat got their attention by
- 22:56Speaker 2: rubbing against the cage bars and flopping into her water bowl,
- 23:01Speaker 2: and says that's how she got the name Tofu, by
- 23:03Speaker 2: plopping and flopping.
- 23:06Speaker 5: I'll take your word for it.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I honestly hadn't thought of Tofu in that way, But okay, right,
- 23:14Speaker 2: She's been a rambunctious member of the family for almost
- 23:17Speaker 2: two years now. So fast forward to December twenty twenty four.
- 23:23Speaker 2: She gets a call from her fiance that she's not expecting,
- 23:27Speaker 2: and he told her that one of Tofu's front teeth
- 23:30Speaker 2: had shattered, leaving the tooth pulp visible. Tofu had apparently
- 23:36Speaker 2: swiped her favorite decorative music box made of bals of
- 23:40Speaker 2: wood and started chewing on it. This is nothing new
- 23:43Speaker 2: for the cat. However, they couldn't leave Tofu with what
- 23:47Speaker 2: must have been a hell of a toothache, so they
- 23:50Speaker 2: brought her to a kiddy dentist who said they had
- 23:53Speaker 2: no choice but to pull Tofu's damaged tooth. Either that
- 23:57Speaker 2: or attempt to give her a root canal and install
- 23:59Speaker 2: a gold tooth crown. No guarantee that they could successfully
- 24:04Speaker 2: get the prostheticgain, but she was ready to try, despite
- 24:07Speaker 2: the gold tooth's five thousand dollars price tag. Wow, After all,
- 24:12Speaker 2: Tofa was only three years old and still has a
- 24:13Speaker 2: long life ahead of her. Yeah yeah, And she said
- 24:16Speaker 2: there were a lot of practical reasons, but her diet
- 24:20Speaker 2: requires her to rip and tear food apart and for
- 24:23Speaker 2: safety reasons because they take her outside for supervised walks
- 24:26Speaker 2: and hikes, and if, for whatever reason, she gets separated
- 24:31Speaker 2: from them, they wanted her to have the best chance possible. Right, Yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 2: So they paid up and the the the operation was
- 24:38Speaker 2: a total success, awesome, and she shared her cat's gold
- 24:42Speaker 2: tooth on social media, where it quickly went viral. The
- 24:46Speaker 2: video has nearly eleven million views and one in one
- 24:50Speaker 2: point eight million likes.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Well that made up the money, I'm sure.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sure it was that or close to it.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, very good to go.
- 24:57Speaker 6: I see that.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's the cat.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, I would buy that.
- 25:03Speaker 5: Then there's a tooth.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Oh that's awesome.
- 25:05Speaker 5: So it's hardly noticeable. Yeah that's yeah, that's great. That's funny,
- 25:09Speaker 5: awesome as fuck. That is a big fluffy cat.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yo, June tooth, I don't care, I'll motor. We're
- 25:19Speaker 3: gonna put silver oll up in that bitch.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And the cat is adorable.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Fah, that cat is fluffy cat.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Holy fuck.
- 25:25Speaker 2: All right, you guys ready for story number three? Yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 2: all right, you guys will like this one. Botched drug
- 25:31Speaker 2: disposal disposal operation covers Turkish City and weed.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Smoke what They just put it in a pile and
- 25:38Speaker 5: burn it.
- 25:38Speaker 2: The authority set ablaze more than twenty tons of weed.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Twenty tons of weed in the open air in the
- 25:49Speaker 2: city center, with no well, with no way to control
- 25:54Speaker 2: where the resulting smoke went. The wind pushed it toward
- 25:57Speaker 2: the city. It's a wind blow today into the city.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I'll be fine. All the s bogg mixing with that
- 26:03Speaker 5: reminds me of History.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Of the World Part one. We're to run away from
- 26:05Speaker 3: the Romans and they find that wacky weeds.
- 26:07Speaker 5: We got to we got to get moving.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Once the wee cloud or clouds arrived, local residents locked
- 26:17Speaker 2: themselves in their homes, and for a good reason. The
- 26:20Speaker 2: smoke was completely unfiltered, so it would have it could
- 26:23Speaker 2: have probably gotten people extremely high, but it was also
- 26:26Speaker 2: likely very toxic.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Fuck that, I'd take a chance. Give me a bag
- 26:32Speaker 3: of chips, a two liters coke and five candy bars, man,
- 26:34Speaker 3: I will take that.
- 26:35Speaker 5: I'm sure it was fine. Yeah, like anything else they
- 26:38Speaker 5: threw in there. If they threw any other like hardcore
- 26:42Speaker 5: drugs in with it just to burn alongside, yeah, that
- 26:45Speaker 5: would not be back and dropping over and ships. So
- 26:50Speaker 5: here's the thing. I'm sure the city had a wonderful time.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Super American markets made out time.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, everybody forgot to drive that day. How are
- 27:06Speaker 5: the cops that.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Were like two inches away from the fire.
- 27:10Speaker 3: They all had a week off.
- 27:12Speaker 5: I'm sure they felt sick as a dog after it.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I assume they had gas masks. But it doesn't follow.
- 27:19Speaker 2: In fact, the authorities have defended their blazing mountain of weed.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Of course, because I'm sure they enjoy their ship out.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Of which which they arranged into piles that spelled the
- 27:30Speaker 2: name of the town lice l I.
- 27:33Speaker 3: C are you serious?
- 27:36Speaker 2: And they just said it a blaze. So they turned
- 27:38Speaker 2: it into a big stunt and then it went wrong,
- 27:40Speaker 2: and then they said we didn't do it anything wrong. Wow,
- 27:43Speaker 2: they're they're claiming it sends a clear message to local
- 27:46Speaker 2: drug smugglers. I'd say it sends a clear message to
- 27:48Speaker 2: the people of the city. Your police are idiots.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Yeah, good ass weed, you to get your hands out of.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Yeah right, unbelievable. So uh yeah, so in the future, Uh,
- 28:04Speaker 2: it's been recommended that they try to destroy confiscated drugs
- 28:07Speaker 2: in a more professional manner furnace, so just using factories
- 28:11Speaker 2: with filtered chimneys outside of residentially. I thought you were
- 28:14Speaker 2: going to say, flush them now the toilet. No. I
- 28:18Speaker 2: think the most professional way would be to roll them
- 28:21Speaker 2: into joints and sell them. Do you absolutely smoke the show.
- 28:25Speaker 5: If you're gonna flush them down the toilet, like, at
- 28:27Speaker 5: least do it. Don't do it in your own toilet.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Don't do do not flush anything down the toilet.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Except that's not supposed to Yeah, don't flush tolet not
- 28:38Speaker 5: supposed to go down.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Very very bad, very very bad. All right, So there's
- 28:42Speaker 2: our three news stories. All our players have to do
- 28:45Speaker 2: is tell me which one is the best news story.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I mean, uh ogie, I'm going to let you go
- 28:51Speaker 2: first because you picked the smallest number.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Okay, smart he was a smart one.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a smart one. So he gets rewarded
- 28:58Speaker 2: for it.
- 28:59Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 29:00Speaker 5: That's fair. So I would say the best good news to.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Be fair, I knew what was coming and I still
- 29:05Speaker 2: picked ten.
- 29:06Speaker 5: That's fair.
- 29:07Speaker 3: I would to be both of them.
- 29:12Speaker 2: So I would say the.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Good news would be probably the cat. Just because the
- 29:19Speaker 5: cat didn't get well, got harp or got healed and
- 29:24Speaker 5: came out with a really expensive too.
- 29:27Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Yeah, and became an Internet celebrity overnight. So I'd say
- 29:32Speaker 5: that one.
- 29:32Speaker 2: You're going with the cat, All right, Stevie, which one
- 29:34Speaker 2: do you think of the other two? I think could
- 29:36Speaker 2: be the best news story.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Which one do you think I was like the cat one?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Sorry, you can't pick the same one.
- 29:45Speaker 5: If they two stories had cats, it'd be hard that
- 29:47Speaker 5: one might be like.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Cat like Lizardslesworth.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I do not believe those hairless ones.
- 29:57Speaker 5: I don't think mamalia were a thing quite yet.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Wait a minute, did this take place in Egypt?
- 30:05Speaker 2: I don't know, and you know it was Australia. Australia.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Okay, okay, you're thinking, yeah, you're thinking of like marsupial. Yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 5: I came from like the mono trains, you know, the
- 30:17Speaker 5: they It would have been amphibians reptiles first, and you
- 30:20Speaker 5: would wouldn't see the first iteration of my maals males
- 30:23Speaker 5: have mammals till like a lot later.
- 30:26Speaker 3: That's awesome, all right. Well, if I can't choose the
- 30:28Speaker 3: carol and this one's not a cat, I'm gonna go
- 30:31Speaker 3: with the flollicking, frolicking, flollicking, frolicking animals in the prehistoric
- 30:36Speaker 3: time because they were playing in the rain, and you
- 30:38Speaker 3: know what they were doing at the time, They were
- 30:39Speaker 3: doing the song and the dance from Singing in the
- 30:41Speaker 3: Ring because they were fucking awesome. Go watch sing in
- 30:44Speaker 3: the Rain. It's gooding. I love Oh my god, dude,
- 30:50Speaker 3: it's god damn it. I love that. I'm that kind
- 30:57Speaker 3: of nerd. People might not know that. You give me
- 30:59Speaker 3: some old funk movies with people who can actually act
- 31:02Speaker 3: for real.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Sitting and dance inherit the wind gives me chills to this.
- 31:07Speaker 2: They made us watch that for school, and it's the
- 31:10Speaker 2: only movie I can think of that they made us
- 31:12Speaker 2: watch for school that I willingly watched after the fact
- 31:15Speaker 2: because it was so it's all good man, we're having
- 31:21Speaker 2: a great time. Very good, very good choice as well.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It's It's August point because it was obviously the cat,
- 31:32Speaker 2: because I mean, it's it's it's adorable, and like, there
- 31:37Speaker 2: have been so many stories about animal owners being like
- 31:40Speaker 2: shitty to their past, and like I watch a lot
- 31:43Speaker 2: of like videos of like, you know, animal rescue and
- 31:46Speaker 2: people at shelters doing the hard work to make these
- 31:49Speaker 2: animals who feel like they've been you know, betrayed and
- 31:52Speaker 2: abandoned feel you know, some love and enjoy in their
- 31:56Speaker 2: hearts again, before.
- 31:56Speaker 3: They can get you know, comfortable around people.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yeah, before they can get adopted again. It's true, it
- 32:02Speaker 2: was going to adopt them when they're sitting in the
- 32:03Speaker 2: corner like I no, I don't want anything to do
- 32:06Speaker 2: with human.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Locked up man. You know, you know we should be
- 32:08Speaker 3: allowed to do few things.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Like legally, you feel like I know what one's going
- 32:12Speaker 2: to be.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yep, fuck up anybody who hurts an animal, and fuck
- 32:16Speaker 3: up any Nazis. Why are these not written down yet?
- 32:18Speaker 3: Like why are these constitution? I mean, they get a
- 32:22Speaker 3: new bill, motherfuckers.
- 32:24Speaker 2: But those two are belief. I believe they did something
- 32:26Speaker 2: like that in Germany. They're did not allowed to no Nazis.
- 32:30Speaker 3: It was illegal, wasn't it, like two thousand fucking illegal?
- 32:33Speaker 4: Was it was?
- 32:34Speaker 5: Sometimes somewhere between the five hundred years between twenty nineteen
- 32:39Speaker 5: and twenty twenty one. I think that at one point
- 32:43Speaker 5: they at least here in New York, they made certain
- 32:46Speaker 5: animals like dogs more, gave them more rights.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Basically, so like now if you have animals or yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 3: now if you harm your animal, it's a higher punishment
- 32:55Speaker 3: for doing so.
- 32:55Speaker 5: So they're doing it here and there.
- 32:57Speaker 4: It's a start, but.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Well, this is the longest firstment in the history of
- 33:00Speaker 2: our show. One point August. We're gonna play Game two
- 33:03Speaker 2: right after this. Hey man, welcome to the mail Bag.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I guess we need to come up with a better
- 33:19Speaker 2: mal pack female back the female mail bag.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Female bag. Look at my mail pack.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Gentle listeners, if you have an idea for a name
- 33:32Speaker 2: for the second.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Because I'm gonna get calling it the mail bag.
- 33:35Speaker 2: The mail bag because I've got nothing else.
- 33:37Speaker 5: It's such a fox, because fuck you bucks.
- 33:46Speaker 3: I want to start putting those in little cities.
- 33:49Speaker 2: The b FM because male. Uh No, I don't want to.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I don't want to give that a person I want.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I want more male. Okay, so what do we got?
- 33:59Speaker 3: Uh? We have number one top one hundred indie games
- 34:03Speaker 3: monthly on Good Pots.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Again, Holy Ship number one again again?
- 34:07Speaker 3: Yeah damn, we're crushing each month.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Man. Wow, how many months in a row? Is it at?
- 34:12Speaker 5: It's a lot you haven't It's not like.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I think we were number two at one point, bastards,
- 34:23Speaker 3: but we went back to one.
- 34:24Speaker 2: So fuck all right, Ship, Hell.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we're better than you two. Hell yeah, if you're
- 34:28Speaker 3: cool if you're number two, come and hang out with us. Yeah,
- 34:31Speaker 3: send us a voicemail or email crossover.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, we'll elevate each other. All boats tied together,
- 34:38Speaker 2: rising tied.
- 34:40Speaker 5: I don't know, let's not think about a float tail.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I'm not a sailor. I'm not I'm not in the navy. Okay,
- 34:47Speaker 2: what else have we got?
- 34:47Speaker 3: Oh we got a couple of comments on Patriot.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Okay, so what do we got?
- 34:52Speaker 3: The first one is from show to sixty seven Balls
- 34:55Speaker 3: Deep in Games. Oh boy, what a time Bill, great
- 35:01Speaker 3: show left my ass off million fuck. Yeah yeah, I
- 35:06Speaker 3: was the gummy bears and ship.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah, no more gummy bastards.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Yeah, oh god, that was awesome.
- 35:12Speaker 2: That was a good show.
- 35:13Speaker 3: That was so good.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Fuck.
- 35:15Speaker 3: And then we had one more on to sixty eighth
- 35:19Speaker 3: one right after the impromptu goof session. That's when we
- 35:23Speaker 3: talked about like a whole bunch of this like randomness,
- 35:25Speaker 3: like you talked about your work and think show and
- 35:28Speaker 3: I got into do them a little bit. And that
- 35:31Speaker 3: comment is from Bill as well. Congrats on the new bike.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Hell yeah, oh me, I got a new bike.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Yeah I got He was like see he turned to
- 35:39Speaker 2: point it out, you know, by the way, that bike,
- 35:43Speaker 2: I got it over a thousand miles. Now the electric
- 35:45Speaker 2: bikes over a thousand miles. Damn.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Fun fact, he put more miles on his electric bike
- 35:50Speaker 3: than it did my other motorcycle. I had nine hundred
- 35:53Speaker 3: and ninety something like when I turned it in for
- 35:55Speaker 3: this one.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like.
- 35:57Speaker 3: He came home one day, He's like, I got like
- 35:59Speaker 3: over a thousand miles, and I'm like, fuck you did
- 36:01Speaker 3: you row further into your thing that I did in
- 36:03Speaker 3: my motorcycle.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It's fantastic. He also didn't he have it longer or no? No,
- 36:08Speaker 2: three years of the same month. A.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I got it right.
- 36:12Speaker 2: He's just better at it than you committed.
- 36:16Speaker 3: The window is scary.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I believe it. I believe it if I didn't live
- 36:22Speaker 2: fucking forty five.
- 36:23Speaker 5: Minutes right, so my car, I'm fortunate enough to be
- 36:27Speaker 5: where I'm at. But yeah, I get that.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Yes, all right, Well, uh I think that's it for
- 36:32Speaker 2: our mailbox. Yes, yes, let's get back to the games. Yes, Hey, Jeff,
- 36:37Speaker 2: what are we doing?
- 36:38Speaker 4: Why are you whispering?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us
- 36:42Speaker 2: Unless we take massive efforts to protect our online privacy.
- 36:45Speaker 2: All the details of our laves will be in the
- 36:47Speaker 2: hands of mega corporations.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Okay, sure, but this is the promo for our podcast.
- 36:52Speaker 4: We need people to be able to hear us this time.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Why do we need a promo?
- 36:56Speaker 4: Oh funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 36:58Speaker 4: Odd Pods media network.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Are they one of those global conglomerates.
- 37:02Speaker 4: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 37:05Speaker 4: great shows like ours. Well, is there anything specific we
- 37:08Speaker 4: need to say? We should probably tell them what our
- 37:10Speaker 4: podcast is about.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 37:13Speaker 2: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 37:16Speaker 2: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 37:20Speaker 2: all buttholes.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I don't think we should say buttholes in the promo.
- 37:24Speaker 3: But we already did twice.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Join us every other Monday for new episodes of suggested
- 37:29Speaker 4: articles a podcast.
- 37:33Speaker 10: If you like fun, then you're gonna love the beard
- 37:36Speaker 10: Out Podcast.
- 37:37Speaker 2: It's a podcast where we talk about.
- 37:39Speaker 10: Too of the greatest things in the world, beer and
- 37:41Speaker 10: weird Out, and frankly, we talk more about weird Out
- 37:45Speaker 10: than anything because he's the gift that keeps on given.
- 37:48Speaker 10: So join us as we talk through weird Al's career,
- 37:52Speaker 10: what he needs to us, and we have some very
- 37:55Speaker 10: special guests on to discuss the magic that is Alfred
- 37:58Speaker 10: Matthew Yank speared out part of the Gods Media Network.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game two. Game
- 38:15Speaker 2: two is gonna be Pitching Baby one more time, an
- 38:18Speaker 2: oorld's favorite where I take aah, you know, property and
- 38:23Speaker 2: media property of some kind and give our players a
- 38:25Speaker 2: unique circumstance to work with and then they have to
- 38:28Speaker 2: pitch me something and whichever pitch wins will get two
- 38:31Speaker 2: episode points. So the day that I believe this episode
- 38:34Speaker 2: comes out, May twenty second is the twenty fifth anniversary
- 38:38Speaker 2: of the Nintendo sixty four game Perfect Dark. And if
- 38:42Speaker 2: that doesn't make you feel old, what the fuck? Twenty
- 38:47Speaker 2: five years since this late Nintendo sixty four game came out,
- 38:52Speaker 2: and this game is notable for taking an already great
- 38:55Speaker 2: multiplayer game, GoldenEye, and adding something that I have loved
- 38:58Speaker 2: in every first person shoo since bots. For the first time,
- 39:03Speaker 2: my friends and I could team up and work together
- 39:05Speaker 2: to beat a team of computer controlled enemies. I remember
- 39:09Speaker 2: playing Perfect Dark for the first time and on ironically
- 39:12Speaker 2: completely automatically using phrases like on your six you know
- 39:18Speaker 2: and offline bots is a feature that I've come to
- 39:22Speaker 2: love in games like Time Splitters and Call of Duty
- 39:24Speaker 2: Black Ops one and two. Hell Call of Duty Ghosts
- 39:28Speaker 2: lets you play against bots and still gain levels and
- 39:30Speaker 2: new equipment. Sadly, this is not a standard feature in
- 39:34Speaker 2: fps is today, but I'm hoping that you guys can
- 39:36Speaker 2: make the perfect dark Lightning Strike Twice. I want you
- 39:39Speaker 2: to suggest a really popular game, but add a single
- 39:43Speaker 2: feature that it does not currently have and spin that
- 39:46Speaker 2: into its own game or series. Give the name and
- 39:49Speaker 2: so the game its own name. Describe how the new
- 39:51Speaker 2: feature makes the game so much better, and the best
- 39:54Speaker 2: pitch will win and earn two episode points. Steve, you
- 39:57Speaker 2: lost the last game, so you have the choice. Do
- 39:59Speaker 2: you want to go first or seconds?
- 40:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna go second.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Okay, So is gonna go first? Augie, when you're ready,
- 40:10Speaker 2: pitch me all right.
- 40:12Speaker 5: So it's more than just a game, It's more like
- 40:14Speaker 5: a series of game.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Okay, that's fine.
- 40:16Speaker 5: The very familiar with the Elder Scrolls. Yes, yeah, the
- 40:20Speaker 5: Elder Scrolls a really great games. Marwin Oblivion and Skyrim.
- 40:25Speaker 5: They just remastered Oblivion, same game, just better graphics. They
- 40:30Speaker 5: even kept in a lot of the fun bugs and
- 40:32Speaker 5: the goofy dialogue that doesn't quite sync up or that
- 40:34Speaker 5: they they messed up and instead of doing a retake,
- 40:37Speaker 5: that just kept it in. Ye all, still there great stuff,
- 40:43Speaker 5: or you know Skyrim that's been re released like twelve times,
- 40:47Speaker 5: you know, over multiple programs. But the one thing that
- 40:51Speaker 5: they haven't added, and I don't count Elder Scrolls Online
- 40:54Speaker 5: because it's not a Bethesda game, is co op. The
- 40:59Speaker 5: one feature Elder Scrolls did I steal.
- 41:02Speaker 2: It from you? The whole pitch ship.
- 41:09Speaker 5: At least make the pitch ahead, all right. So the
- 41:12Speaker 5: thing is is Elder Scrolls is such a great game,
- 41:15Speaker 5: and it has such a massive world to explore, but
- 41:19Speaker 5: it's so fucking lonely.
- 41:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Yeah, you get you can have companions, you can get
- 41:26Speaker 5: summons and stuff like that, but it's not the same.
- 41:29Speaker 5: They get in your way. All they're there is to
- 41:32Speaker 5: be your basically your pack mule and not really much else.
- 41:36Speaker 2: And I remember when Stevie and I lived in the
- 41:38Speaker 2: HLA together, we played Fable two. Yeah co op, Stevie
- 41:45Speaker 2: couldn't die, but he basically acted as a co op
- 41:47Speaker 2: player and he could play along with me, help me
- 41:49Speaker 2: sell puzzles and kill enemies, and we had a blasting.
- 41:53Speaker 2: It was fantastic. It's the first cooperative RPG I think
- 41:56Speaker 2: I've ever played.
- 41:57Speaker 3: And then Resident Evils after that five.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Well that I technically, I guess you could call that
- 42:02Speaker 2: an RPG, but it was more of a well, more
- 42:04Speaker 2: of an action shooter. It wasn't even survival horror at
- 42:07Speaker 2: that point.
- 42:09Speaker 9: Comedy shooter, comedy horror, comedy horror, exactly punching a boulder.
- 42:17Speaker 2: That first fucking guy Irving.
- 42:22Speaker 3: I got it because it was on sale for like
- 42:24Speaker 3: a buck ninety nine on Steam.
- 42:25Speaker 2: You guys are making me look bad and the turns
- 42:28Speaker 2: into a giant monster. Look at my extreme makeover. It's
- 42:33Speaker 2: like it's fucking funny, Like it's just it's not it's
- 42:37Speaker 2: not scarier upsetting at all. It's just fucking funny. Like
- 42:40Speaker 2: Jesus given up on horror at this point.
- 42:44Speaker 5: At some point they just gave up on that. Yeah,
- 42:45Speaker 5: but yeah, but anyways, Yeah, so the co op it
- 42:49Speaker 5: would make things better, Like mechanically, it would just simply
- 42:53Speaker 5: would There are times where it's like you're going through
- 42:57Speaker 5: a narrow passageway and your bot companion is blocking your way,
- 43:02Speaker 5: or you're in a fight and your back companions in
- 43:05Speaker 5: the way and it tanks the fire ball and you
- 43:08Speaker 5: accidentally killed them in front of our guards. So now
- 43:11Speaker 5: you're wanted for murder companion. I can't tell you in
- 43:16Speaker 5: the skyroom how many times I've married Lydia, brought her
- 43:19Speaker 5: on an adventure and accidentally killed her. I've been a
- 43:23Speaker 5: widower for so every time.
- 43:27Speaker 2: But reload, I always do.
- 43:30Speaker 5: I don't you just I'm playing through the game now
- 43:35Speaker 5: and I was. I was going through I'm doing a
- 43:38Speaker 5: magic run and she got in the way of a spell,
- 43:41Speaker 5: had no reason to just jumped in front of it
- 43:44Speaker 5: and died. I'm like, you're dead, bitch. And if they're
- 43:51Speaker 5: not vital to the story, I don't.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Give a ship. So now when you play, your friend
- 43:56Speaker 2: can jump in front of you, you can actually bitch
- 43:58Speaker 2: them out.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Yes you don't.
- 44:01Speaker 5: I also more like, but the thing about co Op,
- 44:05Speaker 5: there's communication, there's Cooper's cooperation. You're not going to step
- 44:10Speaker 5: in front of your buddy who's casting fireballs. You're gonna
- 44:12Speaker 5: be like, I'm okay, you're cast fireballs. I'll stay here
- 44:15Speaker 5: and guard you in case one of them gets through.
- 44:17Speaker 5: Or oh, okay, i'll cast off Fireball too, and we'll
- 44:20Speaker 5: just barrage.
- 44:21Speaker 2: That room, you know, or something like that.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Or you'll just go do something else in another room behind,
- 44:26Speaker 5: you know, stuff like that. So I think that would
- 44:29Speaker 5: greatly improve this series. Who knows if this new game
- 44:33Speaker 5: ever comes out, Howard Todd, what are you waiting for?
- 44:41Speaker 2: Jesus?
- 44:42Speaker 5: Anyway, maybe that will have co op and then this
- 44:45Speaker 5: pitch will be meaningless.
- 44:46Speaker 2: But yeah, very good would be Stevie, what have we learned?
- 44:53Speaker 5: Don't go second?
- 44:55Speaker 2: Always go first.
- 44:56Speaker 5: I know, I always try to wait till second, especially
- 44:59Speaker 5: if you really I'm so sorry.
- 45:00Speaker 3: I didn't know it was gonna be the same happened,
- 45:02Speaker 3: So it's okay, I'm gonna change it up so it
- 45:05Speaker 3: works out well.
- 45:05Speaker 2: All right, Stevie, it's your return. Awesome, go ahead and
- 45:08Speaker 2: pitch me.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Okay. So men, you may know Doom Dark Age is released,
- 45:14Speaker 3: and a lot of you may know that I have
- 45:16Speaker 3: an addiction for Doom. Yes, since I was for good reason, Yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 3: for good reason.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's an incredible game series, love it.
- 45:27Speaker 3: So I just started playing the new one, and I've
- 45:29Speaker 3: also been playing the roguelike that he took me, got me.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Goddamn it, dude, I played that nightly. It's funny.
- 45:36Speaker 5: I watched It's fascinating past.
- 45:39Speaker 3: But yeah, but uh, on the theme of Doom, I
- 45:43Speaker 3: want to stick with Doom, but I want to bring
- 45:46Speaker 3: back something they got rid of for no fucking reason.
- 45:48Speaker 3: And they were the ones who coined the fucking phrase
- 45:50Speaker 3: and created this in the genre of a fucking death match.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Why is there no more death match in Doom? Yeah,
- 45:57Speaker 3: they got rid of it completely. There's no nothing they
- 46:00Speaker 3: can do whatsoever with multiplayer really, no multiplayers the player
- 46:04Speaker 3: experience only none get the I was like, what. It
- 46:08Speaker 3: threw me the funk off because I was like, well,
- 46:09Speaker 3: co op would be fun in this, this's funny ship
- 46:11Speaker 3: with these armies are.
- 46:12Speaker 2: I was gonna say a good point the last I
- 46:15Speaker 2: thought like multiplayer was a huge focus. It was an option,
- 46:19Speaker 2: Like they had that whole snap map thing. You could
- 46:22Speaker 2: build your own levels and even like create like story
- 46:26Speaker 2: themed levels where players had multiple fu And I'm.
- 46:29Speaker 5: Like, I think Eternal was just PvP, was it?
- 46:33Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Yeah, there wasn't any co op, But yeah, I want
- 46:36Speaker 3: to I want to bring back that, but I want
- 46:38Speaker 3: to have this little caveat to it. I'll uh, was
- 46:43Speaker 3: it Dead by Daylight where you have the death match option? Yes,
- 46:48Speaker 3: Slayer Versuslayer would.
- 46:49Speaker 5: Ever I see saying.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Why not hook it up with Hey, I'm gonna play
- 46:52Speaker 3: as an amp or a pinky or fuck it, let's
- 46:55Speaker 3: go fucking cyber demon.
- 46:56Speaker 5: And so like a one v four where you're playing.
- 46:59Speaker 3: The option of one one you can do. That was
- 47:01Speaker 3: the best part of more like even you could do
- 47:03Speaker 3: what you could do one on one all the way
- 47:05Speaker 3: up to one on eight or or of the eight
- 47:07Speaker 3: players and the originals. I want to bring that ship back.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Let's bring some of the original ship back from ninety
- 47:12Speaker 3: three to ninety four and put that ship into this
- 47:14Speaker 3: new stuff. Man, we need that right now. Fuck it,
- 47:18Speaker 3: I'll steal Oblivion Ship remastered Doom dark Age is Deathmatch Edition.
- 47:23Speaker 5: Bitch, already high finish.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Fixing.
- 47:30Speaker 2: It just came out, Todd Howard, Let's let's let's remaster
- 47:35Speaker 2: it immediately, immediately.
- 47:38Speaker 3: So fucking crazy.
- 47:40Speaker 2: There's hammer Fall huh, oh huh elsewhere huh.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Fucking he's calling you the fuck out, Allen, bitch.
- 47:49Speaker 2: I want to see I want to see Daggerfalls.
- 47:53Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Daggerfall was a good one.
- 47:55Speaker 2: That was a nice one, and I know more Wind
- 47:57Speaker 2: was going to be putting the Skirms engine. I don't
- 47:59Speaker 2: know if that ever actually happened, but I hope it did.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It might anyway.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Oh, we never gave that. I never gave the name
- 48:04Speaker 5: of what that one. I would have called it Cold Harbor,
- 48:06Speaker 5: and you would have started off as like two souls
- 48:08Speaker 5: in Cold Harbor, which is basically like their purgatory, as
- 48:12Speaker 5: basically prisoners in Cold Harbor, and that's how you would
- 48:15Speaker 5: co op and escape from Cold Harbor and then go
- 48:18Speaker 5: like whatever.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Out into the real world. Awesome man, all right, Yeah,
- 48:25Speaker 2: both pitches very strong. I'm genuinely having trouble picking. But Ah, which.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Would it would make more money?
- 48:36Speaker 2: The sky?
- 48:37Speaker 3: Yeah, doom following, don't get me wrong.
- 48:42Speaker 2: I also think it's the one I'd get stuck into.
- 48:44Speaker 2: More like I would play the multiplayer and f phone
- 48:46Speaker 2: with it for a while, but I think I would
- 48:49Speaker 2: actually enjoy a co op campaign with my best buddy
- 48:52Speaker 2: one of them or both of them.
- 48:57Speaker 5: Three or four players, standardly parties go up to five.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so why not?
- 49:02Speaker 3: God do it? You have the ability that.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Would be amazing, like Fable two proof possible.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Yeah, without and.
- 49:09Speaker 2: It was still a fun game. It was still challenging. Yeah.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I think I died a couple of times. Yeah, so
- 49:14Speaker 2: it was still very challenged even though you couldn't.
- 49:17Speaker 3: But I did get knocked down or something.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd be out of commission for a few for
- 49:22Speaker 2: like a few, like a minute or something like that,
- 49:25Speaker 2: and I just had to hold the fort until you
- 49:26Speaker 2: came back. Those were also fun sequences where like, fuck,
- 49:33Speaker 2: I just got to hold it together. Don't die, don't die,
- 49:35Speaker 2: don't die. Yeah, No, I have to go with Augie's
- 49:39Speaker 2: on this one.
- 49:41Speaker 3: It was it was a good pitch.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Both wanted to do it solid.
- 49:51Speaker 5: I feel like it's something that everybody's been asking for.
- 49:53Speaker 5: And then when they went and did and had another
- 49:56Speaker 5: company do eldersline, it's okay, it's but it's an m M.
- 50:01Speaker 5: It's not it's not the same.
- 50:02Speaker 6: But I want to be.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Able to jump into my VR skyril NSPC version of Skyroom.
- 50:08Speaker 3: We can actually meet up in the fucking town or
- 50:09Speaker 3: some shit. That'd be fucking amazing, man, I would love
- 50:13Speaker 3: that so much.
- 50:14Speaker 5: MMO and co Op are two different things.
- 50:17Speaker 2: All right, Well, Augie has a commanding three to zero
- 50:21Speaker 2: over Stevie, but Stevie can pull it back. Game three
- 50:23Speaker 2: is gonna be worth three points. We're gonna play it
- 50:26Speaker 2: right after this.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Hey, if you're in the Western New York area and
- 50:37Speaker 3: you are a fan of the Green, head on over
- 50:40Speaker 3: to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit
- 50:43Speaker 3: Road in Lockport, New York. Tell them b F y
- 50:46Speaker 3: t w A sancha able to hook you up.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game three. It's
- 51:02Speaker 2: going to be a favorite of ours. It's the cost
- 51:04Speaker 2: is correct.
- 51:05Speaker 3: Fucking yes, cost is correct.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I have got the three items that recently went up
- 51:11Speaker 2: for auction, and all our players have to do as
- 51:13Speaker 2: a bit as close as they possibly can to the
- 51:14Speaker 2: final auction price without going over in order to win
- 51:18Speaker 2: that listing. And the first player to win two out
- 51:21Speaker 2: of the three listings we have here will win the
- 51:23Speaker 2: game and earn three episode points. In all east case,
- 51:26Speaker 2: that is a complete wipeout.
- 51:28Speaker 3: What's never happened before their time in the history Stevie.
- 51:41Speaker 2: But if Stevie wins, we have a.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Draw which has happened plenty of times.
- 51:48Speaker 2: So Stevie You're going to start off with the bids,
- 51:50Speaker 2: and this is going to be final bid style, So
- 51:51Speaker 2: you guys will keep going back and forth until one
- 51:54Speaker 2: of you gets close enough that I feel I should
- 51:56Speaker 2: call final bids, or until one of you goes over,
- 51:59Speaker 2: which if whichever happens first, and at that point you'll
- 52:03Speaker 2: each get one last chance to change or up your bid.
- 52:06Speaker 2: You cannot go lower. So our first anema forbids, based
- 52:10Speaker 2: on the fact that we just talked about a game
- 52:12Speaker 2: based on GoldenEye, Our first diema for bids is this
- 52:15Speaker 2: Hollywood movie costume. This feel a tracksuit worn by Roger
- 52:21Speaker 2: Moore in the movie of You to a Kill was
- 52:24Speaker 2: originally sold by Dell Baker, the stunt coordinator for the film,
- 52:27Speaker 2: in a Christie's auction with provenance documents verifying its authenticity,
- 52:33Speaker 2: and this Midnight blue the lower two piece track suit
- 52:37Speaker 2: listing can be yours if the cost is correct. Stevie,
- 52:40Speaker 2: start us.
- 52:41Speaker 3: Off, buzz, I would like to buzz again.
- 52:45Speaker 11: Eight you take turns eight hundred, Augie as well, twelve hundred, Yeah, okay, Stevie,
- 52:57Speaker 11: fifteen hundred, eighteen hundred, eighteen hundred Stevie.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Five thousand, dollars.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Five thousand dollars. I will now call for final bits.
- 53:11Speaker 3: Hmmm, come on, I'll is he gonna be more than
- 53:14Speaker 3: that cat tooth?
- 53:17Speaker 2: No, you don't think so you're staying. He got the
- 53:20Speaker 2: sweat of eighteen hundred of.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Roger Moore, stuntman and Stevie.
- 53:24Speaker 2: You're gonna automatically stay because there's no point you bidding over.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Oh well, let's see, did you go over the exact
- 53:33Speaker 2: final auction price of this real screen used tracksuit and
- 53:38Speaker 2: warn by Roger Moore as James Bond three forty seven dollars?
- 53:45Speaker 2: What did you say?
- 53:46Speaker 3: Twenty eight hundred last one eighteen? Okay, no, I did
- 53:51Speaker 3: not count up with that.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Now all right, So Augie wins the first item. He
- 53:54Speaker 2: just needs one more to finish this game off, Stevie,
- 53:57Speaker 2: you need these? Here is there next item? You're gonna
- 54:00Speaker 2: bid first again? Our next item of forbids is this
- 54:03Speaker 2: fantastic collector's item. Oh Scaramanga's Golden Gun is a full
- 54:08Speaker 2: size replica disassembles into a pair of golden cigarette lighters
- 54:14Speaker 2: and a golden pen complete with a single golden bullets.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Also comes with a plaque a booklet detailing the making
- 54:22Speaker 2: of the replica and a certificate of authenticity, listing this
- 54:26Speaker 2: rare item as number nine twenty seven top number unknown.
- 54:30Speaker 2: So maybe a thousand, might be a couple thousand. I
- 54:32Speaker 2: don't know.
- 54:33Speaker 3: I don't like that last part. That part kind of
- 54:35Speaker 3: scares me.
- 54:36Speaker 2: And this listing goes to the one of you who
- 54:37Speaker 2: bids closest to the final auction price of this item
- 54:40Speaker 2: without going over. Stevie, startus off.
- 54:43Speaker 3: Oh god, I want that fuck that'd be cooly shit
- 54:48Speaker 3: that it has the like, oh god, damn it, it
- 54:50Speaker 3: came apart. I don't know, like nine Okay, So I'm
- 54:55Speaker 3: gonna say like, I'm gonna start at nine hundred.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Nine hundred, two thousand, Yeah, tw thousand, Stevie, Yeah, three thousand,
