- 0:00Hello, and this is your PCJ Pop. I'm Olivia. And I'm Shauna. And Shauna, what do you recommend
- 0:14for listeners? So I got started on this show a little late, and I am absolutely obsessed,
- 0:22and it is called Andor, also known as Star Wars Andor, and Andor's, a Star Wars story. Andor's
- 0:31Andor's Andor's. So it is about Cassian Andor, who is a thief turned Rebels Spine. Andor
- 0:38one more time, just for Andor. Andor, the show is about Cassian Andor. So he is a thief
- 0:46turned Spine, and it takes place during the five years that lead up to the events of Rogue
- 0:53One, where he gets the Death Star plans to Princess Leia. And it is incredible. It shows
- 1:01how in the beginning, he really was just a thief. He's in this for the money in how he
- 1:06slowly really becomes sympathetic to the Rebel cause starts to believe that yes, we really
- 1:12do need to take down the Empire. They are a fascist regime. And really just his journey of
- 1:18joining the Rebel Army. I am in season two right now. I just started it. And I have heard
- 1:24all over the internet that season two is even better than season one, which I absolutely
- 1:29loved. So I am so stoked to be finally watching the show. The Disney Plus Star Wars shows.
- 1:37I've watched most of them. They're kind of hit or miss. I did stop watching the Mandalorian
- 1:43because it got a little boring. I liked the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. I like Asoka. I don't
- 1:49know. There's been a couple that I've skipped because they got canceled or people said they
- 1:55weren't very good. This one has been publicly just this is an incredible show. Everything
- 2:00you've heard is absolutely correct. And it is very timely. There are a lot of parallels
- 2:05to current political situations and the current political climate of just a fascist political
- 2:14regime going into towns, rounding people up and disappearing them. And how a group of people
- 2:21can stand up against that. Even if it means sacrificing, you're standing up for the greater
- 2:27good. So it stars Diego Luna. Yeah. Oh my gosh. He's so good in this Kyle Salar, Audrey Arjuna,
- 2:36Stellen Skarskarn. He's really good in it too. Fiona Shaw and a huge, just wonderful cast.
- 2:42So I am definitely going to pop and or and then I would suggest watching first two seasons.
- 2:49I think those are going to be the only two seasons. So watch those and then watch Rogue One,
- 2:54which is what my husband and I are going to do. I love it. Well, I've been in a crazy book reading
- 3:00era. I have been absolutely demolishing the spark of the Everflame series. Never heard of it.
- 3:08It's actually very good. There's there's there's no banging though. So we don't love that. But
- 3:14that's actually not my. I can't wait to third. I know if I can watch a fantasy novel with no banging.
- 3:21You watch, read, watch, read, do my mind movies. It's not what reading is. It's mind movies.
- 3:28I've got a view of this to me by the way. They're on the third book and they haven't,
- 3:34you know, really done anything. So I don't love that. But it is so good that I've like
- 3:38gotten to the third book very quickly. I started it like seven days ago. And they're long books. But
- 3:43so I've been on a fantasy book reading kick again. So I will have a ton of wrecks for you guys on those
- 3:50because I've been diving deep back in. But I actually wanted to pop Netflix documentary. It's
- 3:57cold case, the Tylenol murders. And I was actually very familiar with this because this is actually
- 4:05how we got safety packaging on medicine. So you know that protective film when they say if like
- 4:12they have tamper wood. Yeah. Yeah. Don't don't do anything with. It's actually because
- 4:18someone put cyanide laced Tylenol pills into a like bottle on a shelf in Walgreens in Chicago,
- 4:27Illinois. Just randomly like they were trying to target anyone. They were just like, yeah,
- 4:31someone will die. I mean, they were trying to kill someone for sure. I don't know if they're
- 4:36trying to kill like I don't think they were trying to kill a specific person. It was like a
- 4:39spontaneous murder crime or whatever. Oh my god. But so I'm very familiar with this case before
- 4:46because I grew up in Chicago. My dad loves random fun facts like that. Go figure. I'm his daughter.
- 4:51And so it was very familiar of this. And what's funny is when this first came out and multiple
- 4:56people text me and be like, have you seen this yet? This is so up your alley. And ultimately it's a great
- 5:02kind of walkthrough of them, you know, going through it and looking at it and just all through
- 5:09the case. And there's some, you know, appealing things like that. So very, very interesting of what's
- 5:16going on in that case, but would definitely pop that for you guys. Interesting. I'm going to give
- 5:22that a watch. Awesome. So for this week, we're going to recommend that you watch Andor on Disney
- 5:29Plus and on Netflix Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders.
