- 2:35I want to wish a very happy birthday to my boy, my friend, a
- 2:40guy that listens to the show religiously.
- 2:43He's hanging out with the fam tonight, his beautiful wife, Mr.
- 2:46Kevin. So a shout out to Kevin.
- 2:48Happy birthday to Kev and happy birthday to everybody.
- 2:52Tonight is been a weird, weird night.
- 2:55It's it's just be gone and I'm sure you're going to hear a lot
- 2:59of weird takes on the Super Bowl as we're going to preview
- 3:03everything with the Super Bowl tonight.
- 3:05But it's crazy because I know a lot of fans sit here and they
- 3:08listen to the show and and, and again, you might not be a fan of
- 3:12the show. You might be a fan of the show.
- 3:14I I have been a fan of the show even before we even started job
- 3:19in the mouth and what I do when I listen after the show, after
- 3:24the after we post the show, I listen to the full show.
- 3:26And there are things about the show that I kind of contradict
- 3:31or I point out in many different ways that some people after the
- 3:35show, even myself, I'm listening to my take and I'm like, I agree
- 3:39with it, but sometimes I don't. And at that point everybody
- 3:43says, well, then you're contradicting yourself.
- 3:45I am not contradicting myself when I am giving you my take.
- 3:50I am telling you what I think at that point when I'm listening to
- 3:54the take and then I get a chance to hear it and be a fan of it.
- 3:58Sometimes I agree to it and sometimes I don't.
- 4:01And a lot of people are going to say that that that's weird.
- 4:03But that's me, ladies and gentlemen.
- 4:05You might not agree to it and I am a weirdo.
- 4:07If anybody knows me off air, Speedy knows me very, very well.
- 4:11And anybody on the show that has met me knows that I'm a little
- 4:15bit crazy. I, I do look at things a
- 4:17completely different way and might shock you about my
- 4:20personality just because you hear it on the show.
- 4:23And you might say, wow, this guy is, is interesting, interesting,
- 4:26but a little weird. If you think I'm weird on the
- 4:29show, boy, oh boy. If you meet me in person, you
- 4:31probably think I'm really, really weird.
- 4:33So I, I just, I don't want to turn people off when I tell you
- 4:38this, that after I give you my take, I will listen to it.
- 4:42And sometimes I will go back and I say, yeah, I agree with it.
- 4:45Even my picks, I pick, I pick the Super Bowl and I pick the
- 4:49Super Bowl tonight. And I could say I'm not going to
- 4:51tell you who I'm going to pick until a little bit later, but I
- 4:55might pick Seattle. I might pick the Patriots.
- 4:57And then after the show, I'll be like, yeah, you know, there I
- 4:59am. That's perfect for me.
- 5:01That picture, it just, it expresses who I am, ladies and
- 5:05gentlemen. And yeah, that, that too.
- 5:07Fish. Quit playing games with my heart
- 5:11a little. What is that?
- 5:12Backstreet Boys. That's got to be Backstreet
- 5:14Boys. Yeah, I I figured it, I knew it
- 5:17was something with the Backstreet Boys, but I I'm not a
- 5:19Backstreet Boy fan. I am more of an instinct fan, so
- 5:23I, I like No Strings Attached. It's actually one of my likable
- 5:27pop albums. If I'm, if I'm working out and,
- 5:31and by the way, when I work out, I don't listen to heavy metal.
- 5:34I don't listen to rock or house music.
- 5:36I listen to soft tunes. I need to mellow out.
- 5:40I need to hear the music and feel the weight.
- 5:43I got to feel it. You know, you know, when you're
- 5:46hanging out with your girl, you got to feel it.
- 5:47You got to feel it. That's how I, that's how I work
- 5:50out. I got to feel the weight in my
- 5:52hands. So I, I, I, it might be a little
- 5:55weird again, but I listen to 80s music.
- 5:57I listen to some 90s music, CNC music factory, that kind of
- 6:01stuff. I have to be pumping up, man.
- 6:04So I, I, I, it's funny because my uncle the other day, I, I
- 6:08didn't bring my earphones and I was playing the music under the
- 6:12weights. So I, you have your phone, you
- 6:15put up as high as you can and you can listen to the music and
- 6:17he says, what are you listening to?
- 6:19You actually listen to this garbage and I said, yeah, I
- 6:22listen to it. And and for you to say that it's
- 6:25garbage, you know, you were born in the 60s and and you are you
- 6:28definitely were listening to CNC Music Factory or New Kids on the
- 6:33Block. Come on, who doesn't like the
- 6:35New Kids on the Block? Hank Tuff, Remember that?
- 6:39Remember that song? Does anybody remember that song?
- 6:41Hank Tuff? You know, how about this, Every
- 6:45little step I take, you will be there.
- 6:49You know, little, little that Bobby Brown.
- 6:52Come on guys. Or how about some Janet Jackson?
- 6:55I love her too. I'm not a big Michael Jackson
- 6:58fan, but there's other reasons why I'm not a big Michael
- 7:01Jackson fan. But I like Janet.
- 7:02I like her. I like her music.
- 7:04I listen to some of that stuff too.
- 7:06All right, at 8:45, we will be talking to former New York
- 7:09Giants tight end Howard Cross. He played from 1989 to 2001 and
- 7:15won a Super Bowl ring, Super Bowl 25.
- 7:19So he experienced winning a Super Bowl with the New York
- 7:23Giants. So I'm very excited to have him
- 7:25on for the first time. Thank you, Nathan, for landing
- 7:28this very special guest. And I'm, I'm interested to hear
- 7:30what Howard's going to say about the Giants organization.
- 7:33He's been working with them over the last couple of years as an
- 7:36analyst on the sideline. So Howard, interesting
- 7:40personality, very intriguing as a as a football fan when it
- 7:45comes to the X's and O's to the game and especially the New York
- 7:48Giants time. I'm interested to hear what he
- 7:50thinks about John Harbaugh higher because I wasn't too fond
- 7:53of it. That's just my all right.
- 7:55Ladies and gentlemen, Super Bowl 60 will be this Sunday with the
- 8:01Seattle Seahawks. Take it on the New England
- 8:03Patriots in San Francisco. It will be a rematch of one of
- 8:08the most infamous ending endings in Super Bowl history, in Super
- 8:13Bowl 49 between the Patriots and the Seahawks, when all the
- 8:17Seahawks had to do was give Marshawn Lynch the ball on the
- 8:22goal line and they would have won the game.
- 8:25This year, the Seahawks opened as 4 1/2 favorites and the line
- 8:31has barely moved since then, staying at 4 1/2.
- 8:34Both teams quarterbacks are banged up heading into the game.
- 8:38Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is dealing with an oblique
- 8:41injury, while Patriots quarterback Drake May has been
- 8:44battling a bad shoulder injury. Seahawks star rookie safety Nick
- 8:50Amanori sprained his ankle in practice this week but is fully
- 8:56expected to play, according to head coach Mike McDonald.
- 9:00Both McDonald and Patriots head coach Mike Rabel, who is in his
- 9:05first year as head coach, are in their first ever Super Bowl
- 9:10appearance as a head coach. Although Vray Bull has won three
- 9:14championships with the Patriots as a player, both coaches are
- 9:18expected to be finalists for Coach of the Year.
- 9:21I know everybody's looking at this game and we can go on the
- 9:23insurance and the outs. These teams are very matched up
- 9:26very, very well. Now, obviously the Seattle
- 9:28Seahawks are the better team. They I believe they have the
- 9:31better running game. I think they have the better
- 9:33talent. They have Najiba, who I think is
- 9:36the best offensive weapon in this game.
- 9:38And Sam Donald, As much as everybody says that Drake May is
- 9:42an MVP candidate, I would say that Sam Donald is just as good
- 9:47this year as Drake May was. Now, Drake May had 31 touchdowns
- 9:52to Sam Donald's 25. Sam Donald did throw 14
- 9:55interceptions to Drake May 8. Drake Mays fumble the ball more
- 9:59than any quarterback in the NFL this year.
- 10:02And when you look at both teams and you look at the strengths
- 10:05and the weaknesses of these teams, both teams have very good
- 10:08defenses. But when you look at both teams
- 10:12and the experiences that these teams have, these are young
- 10:15teams, the Patriots that were not expected to be a Super Bowl
- 10:19contender this year, obviously with a new coach and Mike Vrabel
- 10:23taking over for the team, losing, losing a coach in the
- 10:28offseason. And Mayo.
- 10:30Mayo only was there for a year. Vrabel got an opportunity after
- 10:34he was let go by the Tennessee Titans.
- 10:36And Vrabel has had success. He's been a coach of the year
- 10:39with the Tennessee Titans. Has he ever been to the Super
- 10:41Bowl as a head coach? No.
- 10:45And either as Mike McDonald, well, what's so interesting
- 10:48about this matchup between these two young coaches?
- 10:51And I think Mike McDonald is obviously younger than Mike
- 10:55Raybould. Mike McDonald is been the best
- 10:59coach all season long, especially when you look at
- 11:02second-half statistics. The Seattle Seahawks are one of
- 11:05the best second-half teams in the.
- 11:07League in the league. And what they've done so very
- 11:11well this year is they had Chabonnay and they had Walker.
- 11:15Walker has been in and out this season.
- 11:17He hasn't been 100% healthy all season.
- 11:20And Chabonnay has been, you know, obviously he's out for the
- 11:22playoffs. I think it was a torn ACL.
- 11:25What did he. Yeah.
- 11:25He's going to be missing half a lot next year.
- 11:27Yeah, so he tore, I think it was a torn ACL.
- 11:30He injured himself at the end of the season.
- 11:33When you look at both of these teams in Henderson and, and what
- 11:38Henderson has done as a rookie this year has been absolutely,
- 11:43you know, successful what they thought he was going to be when
- 11:45he came out of the draft. Now Henderson, it took him a
- 11:48little while, took him a second-half of the season and
- 11:51Stevenson going down to giving him a shot and giving him more
- 11:54slicks. And, and there were a lot of the
- 11:56guys on the the the New England Patriots this year when
- 12:01Henderson wasn't getting the ball enough, they sat down with
- 12:03Henderson and gave Henderson a little bit more of a lecture and
- 12:06told him your time will come. You'll get your slacks and
- 12:09you'll get your opportunity to go out there and run the ball
- 12:12well. Henderson, it took him a little
- 12:14while, but eventually got comfortable and played pretty
- 12:16well in the second-half of the season.
- 12:19But Romandre Stevenson has been the go to guy for the New
- 12:23England Patriots throughout the playoffs.
- 12:25He has been their horse. He was their horse against the
- 12:27Broncos and and you can see why Romandre Stevenson has been so
- 12:32very important to this team and why the Patriots decided to
- 12:35extend him a year before the guy has.
- 12:40First of all, he's 230 lbs. He runs not only a 4-5, but the
- 12:44guy can run you down. He can go east and West.
- 12:47He does so many things right and he blocks very, very well.
- 12:52Walker is almost impossible to take down.
- 12:55Both guys are very hard to take that Walker is not as big is
- 12:59Romandre Stevenson, but he's elusive.
- 13:02He has the ability to move in many different ways and
- 13:05different steps. He he has the ability to run
- 13:08routes. He can do everything.
- 13:11I would believe that Walker and I would say that Walker isn't
- 13:14every down back to Romandre Stevenson.
- 13:17He's more of a 2 down back and I believe the experience would go
- 13:24to Romandri Stevenson and the Patriots.
- 13:27But again, this is a young Patriot team and practically
- 13:30every single one of these players have not been in the
- 13:33Super Bowl. I don't know how many guys on
- 13:34the Patriots have played in the Super Bowl, but this is not the
- 13:38old Super Bowl championship teams of Bill Belichick and Tom
- 13:41Brady and the variable teams. And we could go on and on and on
- 13:44of the players that were on those teams.
- 13:46The Edelman's of the world, the Gronkowski's, that that is not
- 13:49this New England Patriot team. They do have stuff on takes.
- 13:52This is the first time he has been in a Super Bowl.
- 13:54He's been in a couple of AFC and NFC title games, never got over
- 13:58the hump. And he's dating.
- 14:00You know who Mr. Misses Cardi B, that after the game, she was
- 14:03dancing and prancing around with her.
- 14:05What was it, green hair? I mean, it was absolutely pink
- 14:07hair. Whatever the hell she had on
- 14:08her, whatever. I I mean, I believe that this
- 14:13game is going to come down to who's going to be able to run
- 14:17the ball and control the line of scrimmage.
- 14:19You know, the Patriots are one of the best run stopping teams
- 14:22in the league, in the league. So they're going to try to clock
- 14:27up the middle and they're going to make guys like Najigba get
- 14:31into places. And they have guys like Gonzales
- 14:33that can play one-on-one with Najigba.
- 14:36But Najigba, every single week we've seen this year against top
- 14:41end corners dominate. There were what, maybe two or
- 14:44three weeks he didn't get, he didn't score or he didn't land
- 14:47100 yards or more in those games.
- 14:51He has the ability to take over games as we saw in the NFC title
- 14:55game. I believe that Najigba was the
- 14:58best player on the field besides Sam Darnold.
- 15:01Sam Darnold, who threw 340 yards.
- 15:04And I, I'll say this, when you look at the defensive side of
- 15:08the ball, there's a lot to talk about with both sides of the
- 15:12ball with both teams, with, with the, the Seattle Seahawks, their
- 15:16secondary. Amanda, Ori and I always mess up
- 15:20his name. He's been a great young player
- 15:22for them and I I think with what their secondary has done for
- 15:26them this year as controlled, the man on man type of defense.
- 15:30They play a lot of zone in the games.
- 15:32Seattle likes to play the zone game, but they could play man on
- 15:36man. They could do a lot of different
- 15:37things. They have great safety play and
- 15:40they could get at you with their front 7.
- 15:42They've got two really competent linebackers and obviously we
- 15:46know one in Williams who has played for the Giants and played
- 15:49for The Jets and has been successful everywhere.
- 15:51He's gone now. When The Jets decided to move on
- 15:54from a guy like Williams, they decided to move him and I think,
- 15:58I think they traded him to the Giants. 2019.
- 16:01A2 and A4 that was. Very rarely do you see The Jets
- 16:04and the Giants make a trade with one another.
- 16:06And they traded Williams and Williams became a pretty decent
- 16:08player for the Giants. And then obviously the Giants
- 16:12traded him to Seattle. And a lot of people were
- 16:14questioning because at the at the end of the season, his last
- 16:17season with the Giants, he wasn't as good as he was the
- 16:20year before. The Giants extended him, gave
- 16:22him a little bit more money and the Giants winded up trading him
- 16:26to Seattle. And since McDonald has been
- 16:28there, I think Williams has been a completely different player.
- 16:32And I remember when he was drafted, I remember when The
- 16:34Jets, Jets drafted him from USC and this some people thought he
- 16:37was a top three pick. Some people thought he was a #1
- 16:39prospect in the draft. But he just didn't accomplish
- 16:42the things that he wanted to accomplish with the New York
- 16:45Jets because The Jets had Wilkerson and they had all these
- 16:48different defensive lineman. I think The Jets stacked up too
- 16:51much on a defensive line when Williams games was drafted, but
- 16:55you can't pass up on a talent like Williams.
- 16:57And now you're starting to see the the fruits of what Williams
- 17:02has turned into a pro ball player, an all pro player and a
- 17:05dominant force in the middle of the field.
- 17:08And and again, Seattle's strength this season has been
- 17:12the ability to do everything right.
- 17:15They can stop you on the run. There are games that they've had
- 17:18problems stopping the run, but they the one weakness that that
- 17:22I believe Seattle's had problems with all season long with
- 17:25stopping tight ends. And I, I have news for you guys.
- 17:28I don't know who the starting tight end is for the Patriots.
- 17:32Oh, it's Josh's boy hunter Henry.
- 17:34Yeah, and that's what I'm saying.
- 17:35He's an old Hunter Henry. He's what?
- 17:38He's the oldest player on the team.
- 17:39He's got to be about 3435 years old.
- 17:42He's at the tail end of his career.
- 17:44You don't see a lot of Hunter Henry and you haven't seen a lot
- 17:46of Hunter Henry throughout this playoff run.
- 17:48Now, they might use Hunter Henry a lot because Seattle on paper
- 17:52has had problems stopping tight end type of talent.
- 17:56It's speed, guys on the outside. But I don't think country Henry
- 17:59is going to be that dangerous. Guys like Stefan Diggs, guys
- 18:03like Hollins, those are the guys.
- 18:05Hollins coming coming back in in the AFC title game play
- 18:09dividends for the New England Patriots because he made a
- 18:11couple of big catches against the Broncos in the snow, which
- 18:14eventually sealed the deal for the New England Patriots.
- 18:17But it's, it's going to be warm. There's not going to be any
- 18:20snow. There's not going to be any rain
- 18:22on Sunday. So we're going to see what Drake
- 18:24May is made of in a big game. And we're going to see what Sam
- 18:28Donald is made-up in a big game. I, I'll tell you this, we saw
- 18:32more out of Sam Donald throughout the playoffs than
- 18:34we've seen of Drake May Drake May has not looked like the MVP
- 18:37candidate he was all season long.
- 18:40And and that could be because of his schedule, the way the
- 18:43schedule was set up for the New England Patriots.
- 18:45I've said it. The New England Patriots had one
- 18:47of the easiest schedules in the NFL, in the NFL since 1999.
- 18:52They had one of the easiest schedule and they have one of
- 18:54the five easiest, one of the top five easiest schedules in NFL
- 18:58history. The the the last time a schedule
- 19:01was was this easy, I think was the Indianapolis Colts in 99
- 19:06that was. Jim Harbaugh era.
- 19:08That was the Jim Harbaugh era, era and all that other stuff.
- 19:11But here's the thing, I look at Sam Donald, Sam Donald obviously
- 19:17being pushed away by the New York Jets, being pushed away by
- 19:20the Carolina Panthers, by being pushed away by the 49ers.
- 19:24Then the Minnesota Vikings who eventually just fired their GM
- 19:27because of the the fact that they should have kept Sam
- 19:29Donald. This might have been Minnesota
- 19:31this year if Sam Donald was still playing with Justin
- 19:33Jefferson. And and that's happened.
- 19:35That type of defense, Brian Flores has been sensational all
- 19:38season long. With all the injuries the
- 19:40Minnesota Vikings had all season long, they were a top 10 defense
- 19:44and that says a lot about who Sam Donald is and what Sam
- 19:46Donald has accomplished this year as a starting quarterback
- 19:50for Seattle and Mike McDonald coaching him up and then getting
- 19:54a chance to see all the all the talent that Sam Donald brings to
- 19:59the table. And, and again I go back and,
- 20:01and I could go back and forth with who is going to be better
- 20:04in this game and who do I think is going to make make the bright
- 20:07play and, and the perfect play that might win this game for
- 20:11both teams. I don't think this game is going
- 20:13to be even close. I really don't when I look at
- 20:16this, the way these teams are set up, look at the schedules.
- 20:19When you look at the Seattle Seahawks and who they had to
- 20:21play all season long, and then you look at the Patriots.
- 20:24The Patriots played their best schedule in the playoffs and
- 20:28look what they did in the playoffs.
- 20:29Who did they dominate against in the playoffs?
- 20:31I understand it was bad weather throughout the playoffs, but
- 20:34guess what? Sam Donald played in bad
- 20:36weather. Sam Donnell played in bad
- 20:38weather against the the Rams, the Rams.
- 20:41It it wasn't it wasn't great weather the the week before Sam
- 20:44Donnell had to play in bad weather.
- 20:46I I'm not going to sit here and make excuses on well, this guy,
- 20:51this guy had to play in snow every single weekend.
- 20:55To me, Drake May has been sensational all season.
- 20:58He's a two year player. He's playing in his first Super
- 21:02Bowl in his second year. There's a lot of pressure on
- 21:04him. Sam Donald's been in the league
- 21:05for eight years. Sam Donald has never been here
- 21:08before, but Sam Donald has accomplished a lot.
- 21:11And and again, when you think about Sam Donald, Sam Donald, a
- 21:14lot of people gave up on The Jets, gave up on him.
- 21:17Carolina after making the trade, giving up a second and a fourth.
- 21:21They gave up on him. And that's, that's why this
- 21:24story is, is so incomplete until we find out what's going to
- 21:28happen in Super Bowl 60. I know everybody can't wait
- 21:32until Bad Bunny and the halftime show.
- 21:34I, I'm, I'm not watching that. I, I, I can't wait for this game
- 21:37because to me, this is the worst option.
- 21:41And over the years, I got a chance to see the Patriots play
- 21:44the Giants in a Super Bowl, not once, but twice.
- 21:46And who was I voting for? I was, I was voting for the New
- 21:49York Giants, even though I couldn't stand the Giants.
- 21:52And now I look at this game, I look at Sam Donald, who was a
- 21:55Jets draft pick. He was the number three pick in
- 21:58the draft of Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Lamar
- 22:03Jackson. When you look at that draft now,
- 22:05this could go down as one of the greatest quarterback drafts of
- 22:08all time. The first guy out of that draft
- 22:12to go to the Super Bowl is Sam Donald, and Sam Donald might be
- 22:15the first quarterback out of that draft club.
- 22:18When you think about Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, two of these
- 22:22this century, what really this era's greats.
- 22:25When you look at what Sam Donald has done over the last two
- 22:28seasons, I wouldn't say he's accomplished as much as Josh
- 22:32Allen and Lamar Jackson, but he's right there with them.
- 22:34Think about it. Sam Donald was practically
- 22:37thrown to the wolves. Everybody gave up on him and
- 22:40then Seattle saw one season with Minnesota, maybe a lucky season.
- 22:44Gave him a three-year, $100 million contract.
- 22:47Took a chance with Sam Donald and hit a home run, hit a Grand
- 22:51Slam because in McDonald and Sam Donald's first year as coach and
- 22:56quarterback, they're playing in a Super Bowl.
- 22:59And that goes to the same thing with Drake May.
- 23:02This is Drake May and Mike Vrabel's first year as coach and
- 23:06quarterback, and they're playing in a Super Bowl.
- 23:08So when you're talking about a connection, this Super Bowl is
- 23:12very highly connected in many different ways.
- 23:15Think about it this how many Seattle Seahawks have played for
- 23:18the Patriots? How many Patriots have played
- 23:21for the Seattle Seahawks? And again, there's a lot of Jets
- 23:26in this game, a lot of Giants in this game.
- 23:30So when you look at the optional thought of this game, you're
- 23:34kind of as a Jet fan or even a Giant fan, you're wondering,
- 23:37well, this could have been us. Or Sam Donald could have been
- 23:40starting quarterback for the New York Jets.
- 23:41And if The Jets didn't give up on Sam Donald as quick as they
- 23:44did, maybe Sam Donald takes The Jets into the playoffs for the
- 23:47first time in 15 years. Maybe Sam Donald's the guy.
- 23:50Maybe Sam Donald is an MVP candidate with the New York
- 23:52Jets, or Drake May. How many people were questioning
- 23:56Drake May when he came out of North Carolina A.
- 23:58Lot more than I would have thought.
- 24:00I mean, how many North Carolina quarterbacks were drafted in the
- 24:02first round? We remember one of them, Mitch
- 24:04Trabinsky, Was he successful as a starting quarterback in the
- 24:07league? No.
- 24:10So when you look at you these two teams and you can, you can
- 24:14contradict a lot of these options that these teams have
- 24:18and look at the growth throughout this season.
- 24:21Look at what the Patriots have done all season on say whatever
- 24:24you want. And I say it because I think the
- 24:26Patriots had the easiest schedule in the NFL.
- 24:28They won 10 games in a row. It's not easy to win 10 games in
- 24:31a row in the NFL. It's not you play who's on your
- 24:34schedule. It just so happens you had to
- 24:38play The Jets twice and Miami twice, which is pretty damn
- 24:41easy. But again, when you look at
- 24:44these two teams and and again, the talent when we going back
- 24:48and forth and understanding where these teams lie and why I
- 24:51think that the Seattle Seahawks are just a little bit better or
- 24:54maybe could win by 7 to 10 points in this game is because
- 24:59one, I think their kicker is better.
- 25:02I think we all know their kicker kicker was from the New York
- 25:05Jets and he was very. He was accomplished kicker for
- 25:09the New York Jets before Seattle gave him an extension.
- 25:11Yeah, they let him go and then they to bring your favorite
- 25:13kicker Greg, Sir Line. Yeah, don't get me started about
- 25:16that. But we have seen these teams and
- 25:20if it comes down to kicking, the advantage goes to Seattle.
- 25:26This isn't an infinitary and I'm not taking shots at the Patriots
- 25:29kicker. The Patriots have a competent
- 25:31kicker. But if it goes to field goal to
- 25:33field goal, I'm going to trust in Seattle's offense then the
- 25:38Patriots offense. Also, I don't think the Patriots
- 25:42have a player like Najiba on their roster now.
- 25:46Stefan Diggs has been a player like that.
- 25:48He has been a great player for many, many years.
- 25:50He's not the same player he once was.
- 25:53A lot of people gave up on him in fantasy.
- 25:56As a matter of fact, if if you play fantasy this year, a lot of
- 25:59people dropped him in the 4th for 5th week because he wasn't
- 26:02playing good football. I picked him up in two of my
- 26:04leagues and he helped me get into the playoffs and make a run
- 26:07and win 2 out of the three playoff championships that I won
- 26:11in fantasy. I I look at both teams and, and
- 26:15you go back and forth and, and there's a lot of questions and a
- 26:18lot of a lot of injury reports that have come out.
- 26:20Sam Donald is in healthy Drake May They're going to say that
- 26:24I'm in. How do you pronounce his name?
- 26:26Aman Wari. I'm in Wari, a guy and I, I mess
- 26:29up his name. You were 9 out of 10 on the 1st.
- 26:31Two, I'm going to call him E man, OK, Because I, the, the
- 26:34fact here is these guys, some of these names are just ridiculous,
- 26:38But I, I, I believe that there's a reason why these teams are
- 26:43matched up. I It would have been maybe the
- 26:45Patriots and the Rams, and that would have came back to 2019
- 26:49when the Rams played the Patriots, 2018-2019 when the
- 26:52Rams play the Patriots and the Rams lost 13 to three against
- 26:55the Patriots. When they shouldn't have even
- 26:56made. It I think that when you look at
- 26:59this game there when you're trying to compare both teams, I
- 27:02don't know if you can compare both teams, but both teams are
- 27:06considerably the best teams in their conferences.
- 27:09The Seattle Seahawks were the best team in the NFC and the
- 27:12Patriots were the second best team in the AFC.
- 27:15The AFC was much weaker than the NFC this year and the NFC was
- 27:19surprised by the success story of the Seattle Seahawks.
- 27:22And has a lot to do with Sam Donald, has a lot to do with his
- 27:25accomplishments, has a lot to do with Mike McDonald, who I think
- 27:27is coach of the year. And I think what they have done
- 27:30Seattle, what they have done in such a short time after Pete
- 27:33Carroll, Russell Wilson and the Legion of Boom are gone now and
- 27:38Marshawn Lynch rebuilding this team, I got to give a shout out
- 27:41to Schneider. I believe the second or you can
- 27:44argue the best GM in all the football, he's been there a
- 27:46significant amount of time. I think he's been there over 16
- 27:49years. He's built teams from top to
- 27:51bottom. And he made the choice to bring
- 27:53in Sam Donald. He was the one that gave Sam
- 27:56Donald that three-year, $100 million contract.
- 27:59And it's changed the fortunes of the Seattle Seahawks.
- 28:01There's no more Russell Wilson screaming, asking for his own
- 28:05locker room and, and all that crap that we've heard in the
- 28:08past and his own teammates not liking him.
- 28:10Everybody likes Sam Donald, everybody loves Sam Donald.
- 28:13And Sam Donald is is happy where he is.
- 28:16And it it's the first time I can honestly say that the Seattle
- 28:19Seahawks are one. It's not about one set of the
- 28:23team or the Legion of Boom that's going to dominate the
- 28:26game. This team is fully talented from
- 28:29top to bottom, from special teams, the defense, the offense,
- 28:32and they have a quarterback now. This team is as low as a as a
- 28:35team going to a Super Bowl than any of the teams that have been
- 28:38in a Super Bowl the last five. Seasons even on their defense,
- 28:41there's like a levels of it that's a little different than
- 28:43even their their legion of boom defenses.
- 28:45The secondary got all the rave with the legion of boom and
- 28:47obviously Bobby Wagner was great too.
- 28:48But you look at the levels of the Patriots of the Seahawks
- 28:51defense now you talk about Leonard Williams.
- 28:52They also they also have defensive tackle depth with
- 28:55Jaron Reid. They brought back it was Pete
- 28:56Carroll draft pick and they brought him back.
- 28:57Byron Murphy was a good first round pick for them.
- 28:59They have all these edge rushers that are all all different
- 29:01types. I think you have that and then
- 29:04you have you look at the Steve Weiss was talking about when he
- 29:06was on the show too. A secondary that is just super
- 29:09versatile when you look at Witherspoon is a #1 corner that
- 29:12can play both slot and outside at a really high level.
- 29:15And then you got Woolen, who we talked about with the blunder
- 29:17last week, but he's a big physical guy that I've been
- 29:20curious on the match up with him versus Jabba's boy Keshaan
- 29:22Booty, because they're both big body guys.
- 29:24If those two are matched up on each other, who can win?
- 29:27Who can win out in? There, Woolen made the final
- 29:28play of the game that pretty much kept them out of.
- 29:31Played really well after that and I think it was very helpful
- 29:34for a Seahawks team that was looking to get these corners
- 29:38really going in their scheme for a while.
- 29:39The first year. Last year when McDonald came in,
- 29:42it took a little while especially to get going in that.
- 29:45Kobe Bryant's another one rotated around that's played
- 29:47well. Who was soft Gardner's team in
- 29:49Cincinnati? It kind of did well in Pete
- 29:51Carroll's scheme and then took a while with this scheme.
- 29:53Then you got the pass rushers too.
- 29:54We were Errol and I were calling DeMarcus Lawrence like doomed
- 29:57for the last three years with Dallas.
- 29:59He didn't, except for the one year he didn't really play well.
- 30:01He's played really well in that scheme and coming over as a free
- 30:03agent of Shannon Nosu, A34 hybrid versatile pass rusher on
- 30:07from the Chargers who's played well in that scheme.
- 30:09And then those Pete Carroll draft picks they drafted later
- 30:12have all played their role of getting, I think the second
- 30:14highest pressure rate in the NFL this year in.
- 30:16Seattle and been one of the better offensive lines in the
- 30:18NFL as well since they added Cross and that was the draft.
- 30:22They brought in Cross in the first round where the Giants
- 30:25passed up on him. They decided to bring in Evan
- 30:27Neil. If you remember they had a
- 30:29chance to bring across, they chose Evan and then if you look
- 30:33at it, they drafted another offensive lineman, a tackle in
- 30:37the third round of them not mistake.
- 30:38Is Abraham Lucas the right? Tackle and, and, and it's
- 30:41changed the fortunes because if you remember those Seattle
- 30:44Seahawks teams, their offensive line were as bad as an offensive
- 30:49line. I think they were like in the
- 30:5120s in the NFL for many, many years.
- 30:53Even when they won the Super Bowl, I think they were ranked
- 30:55like 21st or 22nd in the league. They're one of the top ten
- 30:59offensive lines in the league. And they done it in drafting
- 31:03players. They really did not go into free
- 31:04agency and bring in a lot of free agent free agents.
- 31:07They built it around the draft and that's what you have to do.
- 31:10You have to build around the trenches.
- 31:11That's what and, and, and that's the one thing I I could say
- 31:14about Seattle has done on the defense side of the ball.
- 31:16They have used the trade deadline and they've used free
- 31:21agency to build that defensive line.
- 31:22They really didn't go into the draft as much as they've done in
- 31:26the past when they drafted Wagner and all those other guys.
- 31:30They did it a different way with McDonald and with a new, with
- 31:34this, with the, I guess you could say this new regime.
- 31:37So I, I think that what is different about this team more
- 31:40than ever is they have a, a quarterback that's not
- 31:43backlashing the coach. You're not hearing things that
- 31:45are going on in locker room that the defense doesn't like the
- 31:48offense. Everybody likes each other.
- 31:50They're all dancing around and prancing around.
- 31:52And you can tell ownership trust in Schneider, ownership trust
- 31:56that Schneider is going to make the right decisions when when it
- 31:59comes to this organization and putting these players in the
- 32:02right positions to succeed. Yeah, I was going to mention
- 32:04too, like you mentioned, the free agency built to defend the
- 32:07kind of these like one year Flyers or two year Flyers that
- 32:10they took on a lot of these younger players on defense and
- 32:12the Patriots kind of did the same thing.
- 32:14It's weird to think a lot of times you see in past years in
- 32:16the NFL with probably outside of the Chiefs, where you look at
- 32:19defenses that have really built homegrown being the better
- 32:21defenses. And now you look at these two
- 32:22defenses, Seattle building a lot of new guys.
- 32:25Ernest Jones another one, the linebacker that was with the
- 32:27Rams bumped around the league too.
- 32:28And then on the Patriots side, they bring in Harold Landry.
- 32:30They bring in Carlton Davis as a free agent.
- 32:32Robert Spillane, who's one of the linebackers that's hurt
- 32:34right now was a Steelers, a Raiders guy.
- 32:36Like they don't have a lot of even homegrown guys either.
- 32:38Gonzalez was homegrown in bar more.
- 32:40Those are their two big ones that are homegrown.
- 32:42But a lot of the Patriots guys are not like that either.
- 32:44And same kind of thing with the offensive side of the bull
- 32:46instead of booty and and Andre Stevenson, like you have a
- 32:49offensive line that's patchworked with Garrett
- 32:51Bradbury and Morgan Moses and all these guys.
- 32:54Like outside of Campbell, they don't have a lot of there
- 32:56either. And Hunter Henry journeyman
- 32:58arson Hooper journeyman at tight end.
- 32:59Like it's crazy to think we we're in an era now where just
- 33:02because of the way free agent works, it's a lot of times it's
- 33:04just scheme adaptable guys at this point, which usually don't
- 33:07see that usually takes a year or two to gel.
- 33:09If you try to build your team in free agency, that.
- 33:11Way that's that's the amazing thing about this story is both
- 33:14teams have young coaches and I I'm Vrabel's not a young coach
- 33:18but he this is his first year with the New England Patriots.
- 33:21He was with Tennessee and he has experience.
- 33:23McDonald's only been here for a couple of years and he's built
- 33:26this from scratch, which Schneider.
- 33:28But what makes it amazing is this is the first year he's with
- 33:31Sam Donald and this is Vrabel's first year with Drake May and
- 33:34how this is such an an amazing thought when you're going to a
- 33:39Super Bowl where you have two coaches that have never been in
- 33:42this situation before playing against one another with a
- 33:45quarterback that they've only had for one season.
- 33:48And Raybould has a younger quarterback, a 2223 year old kid
- 33:52that has never played in a big game like this.
- 33:54He never played in a national championship with North
- 33:56Carolina. He's never been in a position
- 33:58where the pressure is on him that that to me is going to make
- 34:01champions. We saw it with Tom Brady.
- 34:03Tom Brady, his first year he went to a Super Bowl.
- 34:06Remember that he took over for Drew Bledsoe.
- 34:09He took that team all the way to the Super Bowl and beat the
- 34:11Rams. And he was a young kid and they
- 34:14chose Tom Brady over Drew Bledsoe, a guy that they paid
- 34:18$100 million to the year before that.
- 34:21And that was because of coach Bill Belichick and obviously
- 34:24Robert Kraft saying that we're going to let the kid do it.
- 34:27He won seven games out of the 8 or 9 games that he played, and
- 34:31we're going to ride or die with this guy.
- 34:32And he took him all the way to the Super Bowl to win.
- 34:36I remember what Super Bowl it was, but knocking off the great
- 34:39Rams team now, yes, by gate was going on and all that other
- 34:42stuff where everybody thinks that the Patriots cheated and
- 34:44they probably did. But with a young quarterback
- 34:47going into a game with a first year, think about it, it was
- 34:50Bill Belichick first year with Tom Brady.
- 34:54I mean, if you crossover now, this is Mike Vrabel's first year
- 34:58with Drake May think about. I never even thought of that.
- 35:01When you think about the past of the accomplished New England
- 35:04Patriots teams to now, it is amazing to think that Mike
- 35:08Vrabel's first year, he took this team all the way to the
- 35:10Super Bowl. Yeah, he played a, a third
- 35:12string quarterback in the AFC title game and they played the
- 35:15Texans and CJ Stroud, who is not I, I would say I do not believe
- 35:19CJ Stroud in my eyes is a competent playoff quarterback
- 35:24yet. And I, I haven't seen enough of
- 35:25CJ Stroud. And maybe we'll see one more
- 35:27year of it. And if he fails to be an
- 35:29accomplished quarterback in the playoffs, maybe the Texans look
- 35:32other, you know, look other, other ends, maybe Davis Mills if
- 35:37they decide to bring him back, or maybe they draft another
- 35:39quarterback because you you have to buy in to the coach.
- 35:44You have to buy in to the quarterback play.
- 35:46And I don't know if the the New England Patriots have proven
- 35:49enough of that yet in the playoffs.
- 35:51They got a chance to do it against a very good Seattle
- 35:53Seahawks team. If the Patriots beat Seattle,
- 35:56Drake May is going to have to play at an MVP caliber.
- 35:59Because if he don't and he plays like he has been throughout the
- 36:03playoffs, fumbling the ball, making mistakes and forcing the
- 36:06ball into places that he feels uncomfortable in, I think it's
- 36:09going to be a long, long Sunday at Super Bowl 60 in San.
- 36:13Yeah, I think both teams are going to lean on running game
- 36:15pretty early as it is. I think especially with both
- 36:17quarterbacks dealing with injuries, I don't think they're
- 36:19going to want to rush them in and try to force feed
- 36:21everything. And Drake May, we've talked
- 36:22about, it's been kind of turnover prone at times.
- 36:24And Seattle, if they're going to be able to rush the passer the
- 36:26way they have so far in the first two playoff games against
- 36:28a good Rams offensive line and a pretty good 49ers offensive
- 36:31line, that's going to be a lot of pressure on May and then
- 36:33McDonald's. So we've know we've been prone
- 36:35to mistakes at certain points. And even with Charbon a out, you
- 36:37saw a good workload with Walker in the beginning of that Rams
- 36:40game. It took it took a little while
- 36:42to get going. He got better in the
- 36:43second-half, but expect both teams to be able to do that.
- 36:45And then like I said before, the secondary receivers are to be
- 36:47the difference in this game and jig buzz the star, obviously.
- 36:49But can the Patriots get somebody to break out random?
- 36:52And then can the Seahawks, their number two guys, get any of the
- 36:54guys going like they did against the Rams?
- 36:56This is a very fascinating game, guys, because Sam Darnold in his
- 37:00entire career has been known as a turnover machine and he still
- 37:03turned the ball over, at least with interceptions above average
- 37:07in the NFL, although had a great year for, you know, wasn't a bad
- 37:10year. He just takes chances with the
- 37:12ball and sometimes there's a defense he gets confused.
- 37:15The McVeigh got him for four interceptions earlier in the
- 37:19season. He had some struggles.
- 37:21Obviously, he solved McVeigh in the last and he's really proven
- 37:24in these two playoff games that he's right, that he deserves to
- 37:28be exactly where he is right now in power to Sam Darnold for
- 37:31that, you know, guys like it's just really impressive.
- 37:33Now, Drake May hasn't looked great in the playoffs, but
- 37:37they've won because he's made winning plays.
- 37:39It's that game manager type of player that he has to be.
- 37:42But if he turns the ball over, they've got no chance.
- 37:46So you're asking Drake May to be perfect, And I don't think Sam
- 37:49Darnold needs to be as perfect for Seattle in this game because
- 37:52this defense, guys, this defense is crazy.
- 37:55Errol, Errol, it's like they swarm and contain.
- 37:58I showed a clip of it earlier where Christian McCaffrey had
- 38:02nowhere to go that entire game. They had him contained.
- 38:05And if you think Drake May's running out if Christian
- 38:07McCaffrey can't, I got news for you that he's not going to have
- 38:10those long scrambles. That's what they're going to
- 38:12have to stop. They're not going to be able to
- 38:13run the ball. Romandre Stevens is not going to
- 38:15be able to run the ball like he did against the Broncos in the
- 38:18snow. There's no way that he's going
- 38:20to be able to do that. They're going to have to use
- 38:21more Henderson in this game. East West type of runs, they're
- 38:25going to have to use them in the backfield, a toss in the ball, a
- 38:28lot of slants, maybe use them in the as a wide receiver, a spread
- 38:32spread the offense out on the line at the line of scrimmage
- 38:34and, and, and use these guys as weapons because honestly, the
- 38:39Patriots don't have a lot of weapons.
- 38:40Stefan now Booty, he's he's a good player.
- 38:44He's been an optional player for, for a guy like Drake May
- 38:48all season long. He's been a touchdown machine,
- 38:51especially in the second-half of the game.
- 38:53You know what, what Seattle's going to do, They're going to
- 38:56play one-on-one on the secondaries.
- 38:57They've got 2 competent great corners.
- 39:00They have great safety plays. They're going to use different
- 39:03blitz packages. You know, McDonald's comes from
- 39:05that Baltimore Ravens style of game.
- 39:07They're going to use those kind of plays.
- 39:09They're going to try to trick and make Mike Vrabel
- 39:12uncomfortable and put Drake May on a comfortable uncomfortable
- 39:15position like the Texans did in that game where they forced how
- 39:19many fumbles in that game and thank God they pounced on top of
- 39:22it. It might not be so lucky against
- 39:24a young, fast Seattle Seahawks team that have been very, very
- 39:29good all season long. When they knocked the ball out
- 39:31of a running backs hands or a wide receiver's hands, they
- 39:34pounce on it. This this is a young, fantastic
- 39:36team. And remember the Seattle
- 39:38Seahawks when they were at the top of their games with the
- 39:40Legion of Boom, They were a young roster that was a young,
- 39:43young team. Legion of Boom.
- 39:46You talk about Richard Sherman, we talk about the guys that they
- 39:49had over there and the talent that they had over there.
- 39:52I I remember it and remember when they won the Super Bowl
- 39:55when they completely dominated against that Broncos defense.
- 39:58I mean that Broncos offense which was one of the best
- 40:00offensive teams in NFL history with Peyton Manning and and that
- 40:04talent with if I'm not mistake. Decker, Demarious Thomas.
- 40:08Yeah. It was in New York, it was
- 40:11before a snowstorm. I remember it, and they
- 40:13completely dominated the game. As a matter of fact, the first
- 40:15couple of plays of the game was a safety.
- 40:17I I'm telling you right now, this game is not going to be
- 40:21like that. And I do believe there there's
- 40:23going to be offense in this game.
- 40:25I could see this game 2724. I, I think they'll be offense in
- 40:29this game, but I think you're going to see more offense in the
- 40:32second-half. Both coaches have not played
- 40:34against one another this year. Seattle has not played against
- 40:37the Patriots this year. So they haven't seen enough of
- 40:39them. And the Patriots could watch
- 40:41film all they want. They haven't been on the field
- 40:43with Walker, They haven't been on the field with Nijigba.
- 40:46They haven't been on the field with Sam Donald, and Sam
- 40:49Donald's playing the best football of his career.
- 40:51The last three games of the playoffs has been absolutely
- 40:55dominant. He's dominant his last two
- 40:58games, actually, he's been as dominant as any quarterback in
- 41:00the league. So he what, 8 touchdowns?
- 41:03I think he has in the playoffs so far.
- 41:05He has been as good as anybody. So.
- 41:07And now you're going into a Super Bowl.
- 41:09Yes, he's never been here before, but he understands what
- 41:12it takes to win ball games. Drake May doesn't.
- 41:15Drake May has never been in a position like this in his whole
- 41:18career. Maybe in high school he did, but
- 41:20not in his whole career. And yes, he has four other
- 41:22brothers or five other brothers that beat him up when he was a
- 41:25kid. And you hear all these stories.
- 41:27It's not the same thing when you're on the football field
- 41:29with £350 defensive lineman trying to take that off.
- 41:33So this game is going to be very, very interesting.
- 41:36It's going to come down to, I believe, the running games.
- 41:39Who's going to be able to push the lines and what offensive
- 41:43line is going to open up holes for the running game to dominate
- 41:47the line of scrimmage? I just want to respond to Jeff's
- 41:49comments. Seattle's go to play a lot of
- 41:51cover six. Yeah, it's interesting because
- 41:52Seattle's defenses had a high percentage of zone throughout
- 41:55the year, but I forget. I forget if it was Cynthia
- 41:58Freeland or one of the other. It was Cynthia.
- 42:00Yeah, I think she was saying that Seattle in the playoffs has
- 42:04played a higher percentage of man than any other team, so they
- 42:06kind of change it up on him. Because of their secondary, they
- 42:09have 4 competent secondary players, they have two corners
- 42:13that could be ones on any other team and they have one safety
- 42:17that has been one of the top five safeties in the league.
- 42:19So and, and their other safety is pretty damn good.
- 42:21Their strong safety is pretty damn good too.
- 42:23So they have they have the capability to shut you down in
- 42:27the open field where the only way you're going to beat them is
- 42:30using different packages, short passes.
- 42:32And I think that's what the Patriots are going to do early
- 42:35in the game. Short passes give Drake May a
- 42:37little bit more confidence in the open field.
- 42:39So he could step into some of the passes and use that running
- 42:42game to to his to expose or he'll he'll try to expose that
- 42:47front seven of the Seattle Seahawks.
- 42:49Yeah, I'm curious, curious. Drake May running too.
- 42:51I think Fish, you put that in with the read off as well.
- 42:53Drake May running was an X Factor in that Broncos game
- 42:56because they needed to run. Now again in the snow.
- 42:58It's obviously different circumstances, but I'm curious
- 43:00to see if they have designed plays with Josh McDaniels, which
- 43:02is kind of out of his void normally like what Drake May.
- 43:06I think most of his runs this year have been less designed
- 43:08runs except maybe in the red zone.
- 43:10So I'm curious to see if Josh McDaniels goes to that in the
- 43:12middle of the field to try to stretch it out if they know
- 43:14Stevenson's having trouble because Seattle's going to.
- 43:16It's tough to run inside on Seattle and then Henderson, too,
- 43:20trying to get it going in the playoffs as it is.
- 43:22It's tough to do anything against Seattle.
- 43:24That's the problem. They're they're this isn't on
- 43:27paper, it doesn't seem like a fair fight, the Seattle defense.
- 43:32Versus it never does. It never does.
- 43:34It doesn't look like a fair fight.
- 43:36And I here's what I what I'm seeing, I'm seeing really
- 43:39physical secondary guys as physical as they've had since
- 43:43the Legion of Boom. It I mean, Devin Witherspoon is
- 43:46a missile at cornerback. He's been an All pro every year
- 43:51he's been in the league. Nick, Amanda, Wari.
- 43:55He's a blitzing, strong safety like you used to see back in the
- 43:59day when they had they, they would just walk him up.
- 44:02He's coming. A man of war.
- 44:03He's like AI. Remember when the Don't worry
- 44:05that with Amanda Wari. I'm sorry, I had to.
- 44:07I had to correct. Like man, like man of war, like
- 44:10the old like. Maybe I should just call him the
- 44:12Man of war. How's that?
- 44:13That's look, he he is a man of war standing at that line
- 44:17coming. On Amanda Wari.
- 44:19Like, I just love safeties that play that way.
- 44:22It's great to have like a traditional box safety, but then
- 44:24he also plays more coverage than a traditional box safety.
- 44:27He's a great piece. Leonard Williams, you already
- 44:29talked about him. DeMarcus Lawrence.
- 44:31I could have sworn he was done two years ago.
- 44:35There was that playoff game between Dallas and Green Bay,
- 44:37and Green Bay lit them up for like 49 points or something like
- 44:41that. And I remember after that game,
- 44:44Micah Parsons pointed fingers right at DeMarcus Lawrence and
- 44:48basically saying he quit on the team and it was awkward for
- 44:51them. The whole next season they were
- 44:53terrible defensively. McCarthy gets fired and then
- 44:57obviously DeMarcus Lawrence left.
- 44:59I, I, I don't know. Parsons is gone too.
- 45:01Toxic situation. I think Lawrence has been great
- 45:04this year. I think it's Mike McDonald.
- 45:06I think McDonald has brought this team together.
- 45:08Even when they won the conference and a lot of people,
- 45:12I said it last week, a lot of people didn't like that they
- 45:14were celebrating and jumping for joy like they won something just
- 45:18because they won the conference. It was an accomplished an
- 45:20accomplishment for a young team that has we really been put
- 45:24together in in two years time, draft picks and free agency and
- 45:29putting this team and and getting them to work together
- 45:32and then bringing Sam Donald in to me.
- 45:34It's an amazing story because again, when we when we go back
- 45:38to the the Seattle Seahawks when they had Russell Wilson there,
- 45:41this guy was a third round draft pick who was taken, who was
- 45:44taken in the third round and wasn't going to start.
- 45:47They brought in Matt Flynn from the the Green Bay Packers and he
- 45:51had one great season taking over for Aaron Rodgers because he
- 45:53broke his collarbone, if you remember that.
- 45:56And I, I remember it very, very well.
- 45:58And Matt Flynn had a sensational year and he was a free agent.
- 46:01They gave him an extension that people were shaking their heads.
- 46:03And before the preseason was over, they gave the the reins to
- 46:07Russell Wilson and, and it took him two years, but two years
- 46:11with a young team and a young Russell Wilson, it took him all
- 46:13the way to Super Bowl and showed you why what Schneider did and
- 46:17why a young team could take that next step if you have the right
- 46:22pieces in place. And here's the thing, Mike
- 46:25McDonald is not Pete Carroll. He's not.
- 46:27But they're both defensive guys. And a lot of people say the way
- 46:31he coaches his team is a little bit different than Pete Carroll.
- 46:35Pete Carroll was a player player's coach.
- 46:37He would do what the players needed, wanted him to do as a
- 46:41coach and he would put them in the right position.
- 46:43Mike McDonald is more of a drill Sergeant.
- 46:45When he's on the football field, you can tell he's out there.
- 46:48He's telling these guys to put, you know, to play in the right
- 46:51positions. He's calling the plays and he's
- 46:53he's putting them in a position to succeed.
- 46:55And I think that to me has said a lot about Mike McDonald.
- 46:58And, and if you look at the Baltimore Ravens ever since Mike
- 47:03McDonald has left, their defense is not as accomplished as it was
- 47:07when he was there. Think about it.
- 47:09They were one of the top five defenses in the league when Mike
- 47:12McDonald was there. I think they were even the best
- 47:15defensive line in football in. 2023 they were #2 in football.
- 47:18Yeah, yeah. And it was because of Mike
- 47:20McDonald. He leaves and they drop a week.
- 47:23Every single week after that, all the way from two years.
- 47:26They got worse, worse, worse. Last year, everybody thought
- 47:29they were going to be a top 10 defense.
- 47:31They went from a top 10 defense the year before.
- 47:34They fell all the way out. They were one of the worst
- 47:36defenses in the league. I think they were ranked 25th or
- 47:3920. 6th They got better after the bye week, but it still
- 47:41wasn't enough. You mentioned something earlier
- 47:42about that defense playing a lot of cover 6.
- 47:44I always called it 42. You got cover 4 principles on
- 47:47one side, cover 2 principles on the other side of the field and
- 47:51all I saw that happen because it was the cat and mouse game of
- 47:55the two best coaches calling plays.
- 47:57I think in the league between McVeigh and McDonald last round,
- 48:01McVeigh caught him on that touchdown to Karen Williams on a
- 48:05what do you call a running back mesh play.
- 48:07Basically all the receivers from the left run to the right and
- 48:10then Williams. It's usually another receiver
- 48:12coming the other way, but they did with the running back, which
- 48:14is. What is dirty?
- 48:16But the reason why that was so successful is because I
- 48:20guarantee you This is why McVeigh did it, because he knew
- 48:23that they're playing in man, which is what they were doing on
- 48:26that play. The linebacker would be at the
- 48:28exact same depth as the safety and they'd run into each other
- 48:30and they wouldn't. And the linebacker wouldn't be
- 48:32able to get to Williams. Williams was wide open for that
- 48:34exact reason. So what, they were going back
- 48:37and forth playing more Cover 6. I don't expect as much cover 6
- 48:41this week, Speedy. I would say I think the athletes
- 48:45on the Seattle defense are better than the athletes.
- 48:47Yes, Stefan Diggs included on the Patriots offense.
- 48:51I expect a lot of man and them saying you're not better than me
- 48:55get open. I do believe, I do believe Mike
- 48:58Frabel is a smart coach and he has a game plan for everything
- 49:01McDonald's going to throw at him early in the game.
- 49:04And McDonald's not one of those guys that are going to throw you
- 49:06a trick play. He's not one of those guys.
- 49:09He does everything by the book and that's what makes McDonald a
- 49:12very unique coach because like we were talking about guys like
- 49:15Sean Payton or even Sean McVeigh.
- 49:18These guys are going to throw everything at you that you
- 49:20haven't seen on film. He's not one of those guys.
- 49:23He's the guy that plays it by the book.
- 49:26He plays the same defense, he plays the same offense and he
- 49:29likes to run the ball. The old Baltimore Ravenway is
- 49:33run, run, run. That is what the that is what
- 49:36the Seattle Seahawks like to do. You're going to see a lot of
- 49:38Walker early in this game. They're going to try to control
- 49:41the line of scrimmage and what they call their behemoths, those
- 49:44big beasts in the middle. They're going to use those guys
- 49:47to push the line and see how strong and how tough this
- 49:51defense, this front seven of the Patriots, who has been in elite
- 49:54defense all season long, especially stopping the run, how
- 49:58they can, you know, how they can edge up against that defense,
- 50:02which they haven't seen all season long.
- 50:03And that's another thing, by the way, Stefan Diggs got a lot of
- 50:06attention in his first Super Bowl appearance with him listing
- 50:11all the kinds of favorite serials and somebody else
- 50:15holding up a poster, a poster asking him to rank his favorite
- 50:19Cardi B song. So everybody's making jokes
- 50:23about this, Stefan and Stefan Diggs.
- 50:25This might be the last time we ever see him in a Super Bowl
- 50:29because he's never been here before and he's at the tail end
- 50:32of his career. He's got what, how many kids
- 50:33now? He's had four kids in the same
- 50:35year. So I don't know what he's named
- 50:36him and where his money is going, but we know where his
- 50:39money is going. I I mean honestly, but the fact
- 50:42here is him and Cardi B are dating and I don't know what she
- 50:45colored her hair for the Super Bowl, but I think her hair was
- 50:48green. I was it green or was it pink?
- 50:51I don't know what it was. Pink would fit that substance he
- 50:54was taking. Well, they are playing the
- 50:56Seattle Seahawks. So maybe, maybe they're wearing,
- 50:59maybe she's wearing green because she thinks she's, I
- 51:02don't know. But it's a very, I think Stefan
- 51:05Diggs is an interesting personality.
- 51:07I, I really do, I think he's, he's great for football.
- 51:10I, I think him and his brother have been one of those two of
- 51:13those guys that wherever they've been.
- 51:15And obviously Stefan Diggs, Trayvon Diggs has been with the
- 51:18Cowboys. He had a lot to say about the
- 51:20Cowboys organization and Dak Prescott over the last couple of
- 51:24years. And that's why he's no longer
- 51:25with him. I think he played for the
- 51:26Broncos. He played with the Packers after
- 51:28that and then he they already cut him.
- 51:29And they also. Got a lot to say with the bills.
- 51:31For the Broncos. Oh yeah, they might have signed
- 51:33him for like a week or so, but. I think he was on the Broncos.
- 51:35They were playing the Patriots. They already got, they already
- 51:37cut him too again after that. And then he also had a lot to
- 51:39say about the Bills organization, too, with Josh
- 51:41Allen. And then Stefan Diggs is no
- 51:43longer with the Bills because he had a lot to say.
- 51:45Then he went to the Texans and he had a lot to say about the
- 51:47Texans organization. And now he's with the New
- 51:50England Patriots. We haven't seen a lot of Stefan
- 51:52Diggs in his attacks to the New England Patriots.
- 51:55Maybe because Robert Kraft is is a little bit more quiet and Mike
- 51:59Frabel likes to control his players.
- 52:01But the fact that he's dating Cardi B, the fact that he has
- 52:05four kids with four different women in the same year says a
- 52:08lot about Stefan Diggs and what he likes to be in in the public
- 52:13eye. I, I don't know anything about
- 52:15what Cardi B, what his favorite Cardi B song is or what Syria
- 52:19likes to eat. I could care less.
- 52:21But I think it's good for football.
- 52:23I think it's good for the Super Bowl to have Stefan Diggs there
- 52:26to show his personality speaking.
- 52:28Speaking of personality, Sam Donald got involved in a food
- 52:31movement too, being given a foam hat of ham, starting a ham for
- 52:38Sam movement that created both hats and shirts.
- 52:41Now I seen a lot of different people and I I think it's Jimmy
- 52:45Kimmel that's walking around him and his his producer or whatever
- 52:49that guy is that Spanish guy walking around interviewing
- 52:52people. Yes, all these players wearing
- 52:55this ham, this ham hat and they've gone around all Super
- 53:00Bowl week so far. And I've seen all different
- 53:02players. I've seen Smith wear it.
- 53:05I've seen high Smith wear it. I've seen all different football
- 53:08players wearing it. And maybe, maybe it is Sam and
- 53:11I, I, we all remember suck for Sam with the, the New York Jets
- 53:15and why The Jets landed Sam Donald.
- 53:17Sam Donald should have been the first pick in that draft.
- 53:19It was Baker Mayfield and then Saquon Barkley and then Sam
- 53:22Donald and, and, and now we're starting to see what Sam Donald
- 53:26can do. And, and honestly, Sam Donald's
- 53:28a quiet guy. He's a ginger.
- 53:29His his, I think his grandfather was a Marlboro Man.
- 53:32This is a guy there it is. This is a guy that has been very
- 53:37quiet to the media. And the one thing that I could
- 53:40say about Sam Donald that he was happy about was when he left the
- 53:43New York Jets because of the way the fans treated him at the end.
- 53:46But even the fans of the New York Jets have been behind Sam
- 53:49Donald. And what Sam Donald has done
- 53:51throughout this season is been such an A great, such a great
- 53:55accomplishment. And I was a Jet fan and any Jet
- 53:58fans out there not rooting for him that shame on you.
- 54:00He he deserves a lot of credit Speedy for the accomplishments
- 54:04he accomplishments he has made all season long.
- 54:06Yeah, and it's interesting with this kind of thing like you
- 54:08always see Sam Darnold, reason a lot of Jets fans liked him at
- 54:11the time was he was also very humble to The Jets and all these
- 54:14outspoken quarterbacks, all these crazy media personalities,
- 54:17especially in that Sanchez, Tebow same year era.
- 54:19And Darnold was a quiet guy. It's cool to see him get that
- 54:23kind of personality going, kind of start a little thing, fun
- 54:25thing with his teammates too. And some of these, like you
- 54:27said, other other football players.
- 54:29Didn't Darnold like it was a few years ago?
- 54:32I think it was with Carolina. He had like 5 rushing touchdowns
- 54:35in the first few weeks of the. Season.
- 54:36Oh yeah. And and they were.
- 54:38Four and one. They were four and one.
- 54:40They came out hot out the gates with Sam Darnold.
- 54:44I don't remember the reason it fell apart.
- 54:46I think he got banged up and he came back and he wasn't hot
- 54:48anymore or something like that. But he's been unstoppable the
- 54:52last two seasons. I mean, I mean, he got the
- 54:54Minnesota GM fired because he didn't believe in him.
- 54:57And he should have because he won 14 games within the previous
- 55:01year, as we said on Monday show. But look, the guy is incredible.
- 55:06He he's done every proved everyone wrong.
- 55:08He was given up on by multiple teams.
- 55:12Well, they didn't. Develop him right?
- 55:14And even when he went to Carolina, they had no weapons.
- 55:16They had no wide receivers there.
- 55:18Carolina didn't get a wide receiver until recently in the
- 55:20draft. They never gave him weapons.
- 55:22The Jets never gave him any weapons over there.
- 55:26I, I, I mean, honestly, if The Jets just held on to him for
- 55:29another 5 or 6 years and drafted a Garrett Wilson and added some,
- 55:33you know, secondary players, maybe The Jets would have the,
- 55:37the more accomplished, a more accomplished team and more
- 55:41credible team offensively, which they haven't had.
- 55:44And now they bring in Frank Wright.
- 55:45And I, I mean, I wrote a story about it and it's very
- 55:47interesting, interesting to think that maybe Frank Wright
- 55:50can fix this offense, or maybe not because they, they have a
- 55:53lot of cleaning up to do. But Sam Donald is a guy that I
- 55:57believe just needed some time, needed some time to develop.
- 56:00I think that it helped him going to Kyle, Kyle Shanahan and Kyle
- 56:04Shanahan, giving him a little bit of time under his offense.
- 56:07Then going to O'Connell, who kind of is running the same kind
- 56:12of offense as Kyle Shanahan. And then getting a chance to go
- 56:17to Minnesota and learning under one of the, I believe one of the
- 56:20best young offensive coordinators in all the football
- 56:23right now who's going to get a coaching job after the season,
- 56:26after the playoffs, after the Super Bowl, because he's lined
- 56:29up to get the Raiders job. So I mean, and, and again, you
- 56:33have a defensive coordinate that shouldn't even be there with the
- 56:35Patriots. The defensive coordinate that
- 56:37was there in the beginning of the season was sick and he's out
- 56:40for the season. He takes over and this defense
- 56:43becomes one of the best run stopping defenses in the NFL and
- 56:46that goes to the the Seattle Seahawks and their offensive
- 56:50coordinator. He's been there for what, 2
- 56:52years with McDonald's? Three years with McDonald I.
- 56:54Think he was there before McDonald last year with Carol
- 56:57so. Yeah, so and getting a chance to
- 57:00really run his offense, his style of offense and and getting
- 57:03the opportunity to do it with Najigba.
- 57:05No more of that. You know, the craziness from
- 57:08different wide receivers where which they sent over there to
- 57:10Pittsburgh and and, and and just an opportunity to open up the
- 57:15offensive book. And I think that's the
- 57:17difference right now. You have a competent quarterback
- 57:20that can throw every single pass, something they had when
- 57:23they had Russell Wilson at the early time of his career.
- 57:27Russell Wilson after he lost his ability to move inside and out
- 57:31of the pocket and he became more of a pocket present quarterback.
- 57:34He wasn't the same quarterback. Sam Donald is a pocket present
- 57:38quarterback. He can use his legs.
- 57:40He's been doing that all season long.
- 57:42But his strength is his stepping into the pocket and making the
- 57:45throws. We see him.
- 57:46We seen him do it in the USC. We seen him do it or when he was
- 57:49with the 49ers and we saw it last year with Justin Jefferson
- 57:52in the Minnesota Vikings just obviously didn't have a very
- 57:55good playoff run. They lost in the first round.
- 57:57So I he's been as accomplished as any quarterback we've seen
- 58:02over the last couple years. Drake May was asked about some
- 58:05pregame superstitions from which his wife's famous baked goods
- 58:09are his favorite to standing in the same spot during the
- 58:13national anthem. And then even said offensive
- 58:18tackle Will Will Campbell will look good in a swimsuit as a
- 58:22swimsuit model. I don't know what he he's doing.
- 58:24I don't know what him and and will Campbell do on on in their
- 58:27private time or whatever the hell they're doing.
- 58:29I don't know. I It's pretty unique that Drake
- 58:33May would come out and talk about Will Campbell, who's what,
- 58:35300 and something pounds. 12 was like 6 five or something.
- 58:38And I'm looking at him in a swimsuit.
- 58:40Errol, you were there. We were there last year.
- 58:42It, it there's a lot of downtime, a lot of dumb
- 58:44questions can get asked. We interviewed some guy in a
- 58:48sparkling Chiefs technical. Yeah, you guys who's a Patriots
- 58:52fan? You guys forced that on me, by
- 58:54the way. You guys absolutely forced that
- 58:57on me. And when he.
- 58:58Had like a Taylor Swift like mega fan type of deal going on.
- 59:02He's probably wearing a Patriots nice coat this year.
- 59:05He'll. Be safe with Cardi B socks.
- 59:08I don't know. I mean, he's a very unique
- 59:10individual. That was no doubt about.
- 59:12He certainly was. I agree.
- 59:14I think Darnold being competent and being able to run that
- 59:16offense and him being great is just a plus because I think
- 59:19that's a team that's designed to just stop him defensively.
- 59:22Can the Patriots set the edge against that swarming defense?
- 59:28And I I just love how they play outside in the, like I said, the
- 59:31safeties like just coming like knifing in from the edge unless
- 59:35you have like a great blocking tight end.
- 59:37And I don't know if Hunter Henry is a great blocking tight.
- 59:39End. He's old, man.
- 59:40He's old. Look, I don't really know.
- 59:42I don't have the PFF score up at that, but you're going to have
- 59:45to be a pretty darn good blocking tight end.
- 59:47We have one coming on the show soon, yes, to talk about Cross
- 59:51coming on the show soon. I will say this, I will say
- 59:54this, I like Drake May. I like his personality.
- 59:56I like what he stands for. Anybody that knows the story
- 59:58behind him, he's the youngest of five boys.
- 1:00:01His brothers used to pick on him.
- 1:00:03All his brothers play. I think all of them play college
- 1:00:05sports, some of them play professional sports.
- 1:00:08And he slowly but surely has become an elite quarterback.
- 1:00:13Elite quarterback. I didn't think he was going to
- 1:00:15be that as quick as he has now. Obviously the schedule bowls
- 1:00:18well for him. We'll see what he does.
- 1:00:19Next year, with the schedule being a little bit harder, they
- 1:00:22won the AFC, so they have to play all the number ones next
- 1:00:25year and I think they're matched up against the NFC West.
- 1:00:28AFC West and NFC North. North, so I'm interested to see
- 1:00:34how he matches up against better competition next year.
- 1:00:37But nevertheless, nevertheless, you you have to give him a
- 1:00:40little bit of credit for what he has done in such a short time.
- 1:00:44And that goes to the coaching. That goes to the the players
- 1:00:46believing in him and the offensive lineman, the young
- 1:00:49offensive line that the Patriots have with Will Campbell, who has
- 1:00:52been sensational all season long.
- 1:00:55A lot of people question his arm length and his hands size and
- 1:00:58all that other stuff and his footwork.
- 1:01:01Well ladies and gentlemen, now you know why the Patriots
- 1:01:04drafted him so low and why they have been so good on the run all
- 1:01:09season long. Running the ball through
- 1:01:11Henderson and running the ball through Remandre Stevenson.
- 1:01:15One of the main reasons why is because of him Jackson Smith.
- 1:01:19Najigo said that he would want to dunk on former Ohio State
- 1:01:23teammate CJ Stroud and said that his Buckeye teammates could
- 1:01:28create a 2028 Olympic football team that could win a gold
- 1:01:33medal. Well, if anybody doesn't know,
- 1:01:35in 2028, they're bringing flag football.
- 1:01:38Thank you, Tyree Kill, thank you very much.
- 1:01:41As Tyree Kill might be able to obviously compete because he's
- 1:01:46always wanted to win an Olympic gold medal and he wanted to do
- 1:01:49it in track and field. But we all know that he probably
- 1:01:52can't do that, but especially now after doing what he did to
- 1:01:55his leg. But Jackson Smith Nejigba is
- 1:01:58been such a fun player to watch. I didn't think he was going to
- 1:02:01be as good as he was this year, but CJ Strout and him have a
- 1:02:05very good relationship. CJ Strout, who's a pretty good
- 1:02:08basketball player, as I've I've heard over the over the last
- 1:02:11couple of years that CJ Strout was the best basketball player
- 1:02:15on that Ohio State Buckeyes team and he played in the NBA All
- 1:02:19Star, you know, celebrity game. We've seen CJ Stroud on a couple
- 1:02:23of these basketball things. So the three and three
- 1:02:26tournaments with ice cube, he played in that too.
- 1:02:29So CJ Stroud is a guy that loves the game of basketball and, and
- 1:02:32Jackson Smith, the jig, the jigbar has been as acrobatic.
- 1:02:36I mean, how many times have we seen him dunk over the hashes
- 1:02:39for, you know, with the field goal kick?
- 1:02:41And so I I mean, he has been unbelievable all season long.
- 1:02:45He's such an acrobatic offensive option.
- 1:02:47The guy has like sticky hands. I mean, he catches the ball how
- 1:02:50many times with with one hand all season long and he does it
- 1:02:53with ease. He makes it look so damn easy.
- 1:02:56And and now, now with the Olympics right around the corner
- 1:03:00in 2028, which is I I'd say right around the corner because
- 1:03:03that's two years flag football. These NFL players are going to
- 1:03:06want to have an opportunity to do that.
- 1:03:08Don't be surprised if you see some of these X tracking field
- 1:03:12players trying to play flag football with the speed that
- 1:03:16they have. Maybe we will see one of these,
- 1:03:19these 40 or 55 yard dash guys that can run, you know, they can
- 1:03:23run it with lightning speed. Maybe we see one of these guys
- 1:03:25actually play in an outlast Tyree kill in a, you know, a
- 1:03:28race all the way down the field. So I'm interested to see.
- 1:03:31I wouldn't be surprised if you see CJ Strout, Jackson Smith,
- 1:03:34Najigba and another Ohio State Buckeye teaming or joining
- 1:03:39forces to try to win Olympic gold medal.
- 1:03:41Yeah, why not? That's a loaded team already for
- 1:03:42Ohio State standards. Then you're dealing with a
- 1:03:45competition that it's going to be as much already as it is with
- 1:03:47football around the world. Even though it's growing, it's
- 1:03:49just still going to be harder as it is.
- 1:03:51That Will Campbell, Drake Bay on the other hand, yeah, that's a
- 1:03:53whole other story. JSN would be the world's
- 1:03:57greatest flag football player of all time because you can't touch
- 1:04:00him and you would just get dusted by him.
- 1:04:03He, it's like his hands are great, No one's saying they're
- 1:04:07not, but he runs. He gets open on deeper outs
- 1:04:09better than anyone I've seen in a very long time.
- 1:04:12Like he just cut people. It's like kind of like Odell
- 1:04:15type stuff. There's a lot of good route
- 1:04:17runners, young Odell. There's a lot of route good
- 1:04:19route runners in this league now.
- 1:04:20I mean, we used to talk about we we used to talk about so many,
- 1:04:24so many guys in the past and, and even tight ends.
- 1:04:27We have one good tight end coming on with us in just a few
- 1:04:30moments. I and he could say there are a
- 1:04:32lot of great tight ends in the past.
- 1:04:34Gonzales, remember him? Tony Gonzales had great hands
- 1:04:38and he was a basketball player. He played power forward in
- 1:04:41college and could have played in the NBA.
- 1:04:43He decided to play in the NFL and look, he's a Hall of Fame
- 1:04:45tight end. Gronkowski played basketball and
- 1:04:48and decided to play and start decided to play college football
- 1:04:53as well. And then obviously went into the
- 1:04:56NFL as a second round draft pick with the New England Patriots
- 1:04:58and was drafted that way. So I mean the, the great, the
- 1:05:03great hands that some of these guys have.
- 1:05:04And, and these guys, there are tight ends now that are running
- 1:05:074 fives, 4 fours and they're 6 foot 66 foot five.
- 1:05:11You have offensive lineman running 4 sevens in, you know,
- 1:05:16in, in, in, in the 40s. You have defensive lineman,
- 1:05:20which we defensive lineman that ran a four six, I think it was,
- 1:05:23or 45I mean these guys, you guys are not human anymore.
- 1:05:27They're athletically gifted and it's amazing with the talent
- 1:05:31that some of these guys have. It is pretty damn amazing.
- 1:05:34So very interesting story. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:05:39our deuce of the day, the deuce of the day you log.
- 1:05:43Not a log. I don't have a log but.
- 1:05:52Ladies and gentlemen, you're waiting me for me to speak about
- 1:05:54hockey, and we do talk about hockey on the show.
- 1:05:56This isn't WFN, this isn't ESPN. This isn't Stephen A Smith or
- 1:06:01Craig Carton saying nobody gives a crap about hockey.
- 1:06:04Well, ladies and gentlemen, big story.
- 1:06:06If you're a Ranger fan, maybe you have your pom poms waving up
- 1:06:10in the air. Gavin McKenna was arrested this
- 1:06:13past week and the story coming out at Penn State, he's been
- 1:06:18partying a lot, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:06:20And Gavin McKenna was a lot of people believe was the
- 1:06:23predominant #1 pick of this year's NHL draft and and after
- 1:06:28the World World Hockey Championships didn't play very
- 1:06:32well for Team Canada, some people believe he's fallen 4
- 1:06:36spots, 4 spots, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:06:39And now some people believe after being arrested like this,
- 1:06:43he could fall maybe even 5 or 6 spots.
- 1:06:46And what does that spell for the New York Rangers?
- 1:06:48Maybe and, and the Rangers have three first round draft picks.
- 1:06:51They could still get the defenseman they want and move up
- 1:06:55and get Gavin McKenna. What a drift that would be.
- 1:06:58But ladies and gentlemen, that's not going to happen because you
- 1:07:01have AGM as dumb, as stupid as Chris Drury.
- 1:07:05And as long as Chris Drury is there, there is no way they're
- 1:07:09drafting Gavin McKenna or anybody good.
- 1:07:11So good luck to the New York Rangers as Rangers or Ranger
- 1:07:15fans are raving, waving and raving about Gavin McKenna
- 1:07:19falling in the draft and waving their pop pops high where they
- 1:07:22can land not one but two superstars in this year's draft.
- 1:07:26It's not going to happen because Chris Drake, Chris Drury is a
- 1:07:29complete moron. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:07:32is my deuce of the day. Thank you to all the fans on all
- 1:07:36the platforms for Spotify and Apple video and audio.
- 1:07:40Thank you to the fans on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook X YouTube.
- 1:07:44Jabba in the mouth. Shout out to Jabba Chamberlain.
- 1:07:48He's traveling all the way to Kansas City getting ready for
- 1:07:51the season for Hutch and his son Carter.
- 1:07:55Chamberlain has a lot of division ones.
- 1:07:57Schools are looking at Carter and hopefully he picks the right
- 1:08:01school and eventually becomes a top and first round draft pick
- 1:08:05like his dad is. So we're rooting for him.
- 1:08:08A shout out to Carter. I hope you have a great season
- 1:08:10this year with Hutch and and in your future is very bright like
- 1:08:14your father's was and we'll be back next week on Monday.
- 1:08:18Who do we have on speed? Nothing yet for Monday, but we
- 1:08:20do have a guest for Thursday. Nathan was able to get him a
- 1:08:23linebacker that also played with Howard Cross.
- 1:08:25Gary Reasons will be joining the show at 8:45 on Thursday.
- 1:08:27Right. New time, right guys?
- 1:08:30Yes, Sir. Next week our show will be
- 1:08:33starting at 6:45 Eastern Time, so it will be 7.

- 1:08:42I'm sorry, 7:00 to 10:30. We might go a little bit over,
- 1:08:45but we're going to try to stick to the time 7:00 to 10:30.
- 1:08:48So for all the fans out there that are tuned in at 7:30 at
- 1:08:52night, we're going to move it to 7:00.
- 1:08:54It'll start at 6:45 because we do our spiel in the beginning of
- 1:08:58the show as we always do, but at 7:00 we will start the content.
- 1:09:03So get ready. New time and new year guys.
- 1:09:07It's going to be a great year for us.
- 1:09:08We're working on some big things.
- 1:09:10We're going to have some new segments and a lot of new
- 1:09:12content for you guys and new guests.
- 1:09:14So looking forward to it. Nathan's over there in San
- 1:09:16Francisco. I hope he's enjoying the nice
- 1:09:18weather. I, I think he said this morning
- 1:09:20it was like 40 something degrees over there, but it's going to
- 1:09:23hit its highs at 73. So it's, it's beautiful right
- 1:09:27now. He's enjoying the the beautiful
- 1:09:29weather at 70°. So enjoy the the time with
- 1:09:33Shador Sanders as you're sharing, whatever that is,
- 1:09:37whatever that. Is Wham chowder.
- 1:09:39I don't know what, it looks a little bit different to me.
- 1:09:41I wouldn't share anything with Shador Sanders when it comes to
- 1:09:44eating, that's for sure. Anyways, that's it ladies and
- 1:09:47gentlemen, we will see you next week.
- 1:09:49Have a very good weekend, enjoy the Super Bowl.
- 1:09:52Go Seattle, go Hawks, baby. Good night.
- 1:09:55It is the worldwide sports radio network network.
