- 1:16Speaker 1: we will pray with you. Number one identify the distractions.
- 1:21Speaker 1: In today's fast paced world, it's easy to get sidetracked
- 1:25Speaker 1: from our spiritual journey. Just like the Israelites in the wilderness,
- 1:29Speaker 1: we face numerous temptations and distractions that can lead us astray.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Numbers fourteen, Colon twenty six, Dash thirty. Social media, with
- 1:38Speaker 1: its endless stream of notifications and updates, can become a
- 1:43Speaker 1: significant distraction, pulling us away from our spiritual focus. We
- 1:48Speaker 1: may find ourselves mindlessly scrolling through our feeds, comparing our
- 1:52Speaker 1: lives to others, and forgetting to cultivate a deeper relationship
- 1:56Speaker 1: with God. Work and career ambitions can also so become
- 2:00Speaker 1: an idol consuming our time and energy. We may become
- 2:04Speaker 1: so focused on our professional goals that we neglect our
- 2:08Speaker 1: spiritual wellbeing, forgetting that our true identity and purpose come
- 2:12Speaker 1: from God Colossians three, Verses one to three. Family and
- 2:16Speaker 1: relationships can also be a source of distraction as we
- 2:20Speaker 1: prioritize the needs of others over our own spiritual growth.
- 2:24Speaker 1: While it's essential to nurture our relationships, we must not
- 2:28Speaker 1: forget to prioritize our relationship with God. Even our own
- 2:32Speaker 1: thoughts can become a distraction as we struggle with self doubt, fear,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and anxiety. We may become so consumed by our inner
- 2:41Speaker 1: turmoil that we forget to seek peace and guidance from
- 2:44Speaker 1: God Philippians four, verses six to seven. It's crucial to
- 2:48Speaker 1: recognize these distractions and take deliberate steps to overcome them.
- 2:53Speaker 1: This may involve setting boundaries on our social media use,
- 2:57Speaker 1: prioritizing time for prayer and meditation, and seeking accountability from
- 3:02Speaker 1: spiritual mentors or communities. By acknowledging and addressing these distractions,
- 3:07Speaker 1: we can refocus our attention on God and deepen our
- 3:11Speaker 1: spiritual journey. As the Psalmist writes, one thing I ask
- 3:15Speaker 1: from the Lord this only do I seek, that I
- 3:18Speaker 1: may dwell in the house of the Lord all the
- 3:21Speaker 1: days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of
- 3:23Speaker 1: the Lord, and to seek Him in his temple Psalm
- 3:26Speaker 1: twenty seven, verse four. Let us strive to keep our
- 3:30Speaker 1: eyes fixed on God even in the midst of a
- 3:33Speaker 1: chaotic world, and trust in His guidance and grace to
- 3:36Speaker 1: navigate the distractions that come our way. Number two. Carving
- 3:41Speaker 1: out quiet time with God in a world that glorifies
- 3:44Speaker 1: busyness and constant activity. It's easy to neglect the essential
- 3:49Speaker 1: practice of quiet time with God. Yet Jesus himself modeled
- 3:54Speaker 1: the importance of solitude and prayer, often withdrawing to solitary
- 3:59Speaker 1: places to connect with his Father. Luke five, verse sixteen.
- 4:03Speaker 1: If Jesus, the Son of God, needed to prioritize quiet
- 4:07Speaker 1: time with God, how much more do we finding a
- 4:10Speaker 1: secluded spot to deepen our relationship with God. We must
- 4:15Speaker 1: find a secluded spot free from distractions, where we can
- 4:19Speaker 1: engage in meaningful conversations with our heavenly Father. This may
- 4:24Speaker 1: be a quiet corner in our home, a nearby park,
- 4:27Speaker 1: or even a solitary walk. The key is to find
- 4:31Speaker 1: a space where we can focus on God without interruption,
- 4:34Speaker 1: investing time in God. The depth of our relationship with
- 4:38Speaker 1: God is directly proportional to the time we invest in Him.
- 4:42Speaker 1: By prioritizing quiet time with God, we can seek guidance
- 4:47Speaker 1: and wisdom James one, verse five. Find peace and comfort
- 4:52Speaker 1: Psalm thirty four, verses seventeen to eighteen. Develop a deeper
- 4:57Speaker 1: understanding of God's character Psalm one Night nineteen, verse one

- 5:11Speaker 1: prioritize quiet time with God. Set aside a specific time
- 5:15Speaker 1: each day, free from distractions, to engage with your heavenly Father.
- 5:21Speaker 1: As you do, remember that the depth of your relationship
- 5:24Speaker 1: with God is directly proportional to the time you invest
- 5:27Speaker 1: in Him. By carving out quiet time with God, you'll
- 5:31Speaker 1: experience a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him and be
- 5:35Speaker 1: transformed by His love and grace. Number three the discipline
- 5:40Speaker 1: of journaling. The Psalmist David wrote, my heart is overflowing
- 5:45Speaker 1: with a pleasing theme. I address my verses to the King.
- 5:50Speaker 1: My tongue is like the pin of a ready scribe,
- 5:53Speaker 1: Psalm forty five, Verse one. David's words reflect the joy
- 5:57Speaker 1: and intimacy that comes from expressing our thoughts and feelings
- 6:01Speaker 1: to God. Journaling is a powerful discipline that can help
- 6:05Speaker 1: us process our emotions, gain clarity, and deepen our understanding
- 6:10Speaker 1: of God's word. By putting our thoughts into words, we'll
- 6:14Speaker 1: be amazed at how God speaks back to us through
- 6:16Speaker 1: his still small voice. Processing emotions and gaining clarity, journaling
- 6:23Speaker 1: provides a safe space to explore our emotions, thoughts, and experiences.
- 6:29Speaker 1: By writing down our feelings, we can identify patterns, release
- 6:33Speaker 1: pent up emotions, and gain clarity on our spiritual journey.
- 6:38Speaker 1: As we pour out our hearts to God, we can
- 6:40Speaker 1: trust that He is faithful to listen and guide us
- 6:44Speaker 1: Psalm sixty two, verse eight. Through journaling, we can work
- 6:48Speaker 1: through difficult emotions and experiences. Psalm thirteen, verses one to six.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Identify areas for spiritual growth and development. Second Corinthians thirteen,
- 7:00Speaker 1: verse five. Develop a greater sense of self awareness and
- 7:04Speaker 1: introspection Proverbs four, verse twenty three. Deepening our understanding of
- 7:10Speaker 1: God's word. Journaling can also help us deepen our understanding
- 7:14Speaker 1: of God's word. As we read and reflect on scripture,
- 7:18Speaker 1: we can write down our thoughts, questions, and insights. This
- 7:22Speaker 1: helps us too, slow down and meditate on God's word.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Psalm one nineteen, verses fifteen to sixteen. Apply biblical truths
- 7:31Speaker 1: to our lives James one, verses twenty two to twenty five.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Develop a greater appreciation for God's character and love Psalm
- 7:41Speaker 1: one oh three, verses one to fourteen. If you're struggling
- 7:44Speaker 1: to hear God's voice or feel disconnected from him, try
- 7:48Speaker 1: journaling set aside a few minutes each day to write
- 7:51Speaker 1: down your thoughts, prayers, and reflections. Be honest, raw, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: authentic as you do, remember that God is always speaking,
- 8:02Speaker 1: always guiding, and always loving you. By putting your thoughts
- 8:06Speaker 1: into words, you'll be amazed at how God speaks back
- 8:10Speaker 1: to you through his still small voice. Number four Cultivating
- 8:15Speaker 1: gratitude and praise. Cultivating gratitude and praise a powerful antidote
- 8:21Speaker 1: to distractions. King David exclaimed, enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and into his courts with praise, Psalm one hundred, verse four.
- 8:33Speaker 1: David's words remind us that gratitude and praise are essential
- 8:37Speaker 1: components of a vibrant spiritual life. When we focus on
- 8:41Speaker 1: God's goodness, our hearts are filled with joy and our
- 8:45Speaker 1: minds are renewed. In a world filled with distractions, Cultivating
- 8:50Speaker 1: gratitude and praise is a potent weapon to keep our
- 8:53Speaker 1: eyes fixed on God reflecting on God's blessings. Take time
- 8:58Speaker 1: each day to reflect on God God's blessings in your life.
- 9:02Speaker 1: This can be as simple as writing down three things
- 9:05Speaker 1: you're thankful for each day, sharing your gratitude with a
- 9:09Speaker 1: friend or family member, offering a prayer of thanksgiving to God.
- 9:14Speaker 1: As you focus on God's goodness, you'll begin to see
- 9:17Speaker 1: his hand at work in every area of your life.

- 9:23Speaker 1: will be renewed. Romans twelve, Verse two. Praise as a
- 9:27Speaker 1: sweet smelling offering. Praise is a powerful expression of our
- 9:32Speaker 1: love and adoration for God. When we offer praise to God,
- 9:36Speaker 1: it's like a sweet smelling offering that rises to Heaven.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Psalm one forty one, verse two. Praise honors God for
- 9:45Speaker 1: who he is Psalm ninety nine, verse five. Recognizes his
- 9:49Speaker 1: sovereignty and power. Psalm one three, verse one. Brings joy
- 9:55Speaker 1: and strength to our souls. Psalm twenty eight, verse seven.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Make gratitude and praise a daily habit. Take time each
- 10:03Speaker 1: day to reflect on God's blessings and offer praise to Him.
- 10:07Speaker 1: As you do, remember that God is always good, always loving,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and always worthy of our praise. By cultivating gratitude and praise,

- 19:15Speaker 1: letteth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea,
- 19:20Speaker 1: though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
