- 0:31Yes, yes, yes. What's going on, world? This is your man, Buddy Romigan.
- 0:34We are back at it, y'all, with another episode of the Yeah Buddy Podcast, y'all.
- 0:40You know how we do every episode. I always try to bring some of my friends up
- 0:44here in the entertainment industry. We just sit up here. We talk shop.
- 0:47How about our journeys, our adventures in the entertainment world to see what we got going on?
- 0:51This episode is like no other. Actually, no, this is a different episode,
- 0:55man, because this is my first time I had a guy who had a podcast on.
- 0:58I did his podcast a while back.
- 1:00I told him when I got my podcast back up and running, I would definitely love
- 1:03to have him on, talk about his podcast because it's a wonderful platform.
- 1:07He's been a DJ. He's been a show promoter all around Sacramento.
- 1:11Right now, y'all, I want y'all to make it live and make it loud for my good
- 1:14friend, Mr. DJ Lionhead in the building, y'all.
- 1:18Hey, what's up, everybody? This is DJ Lionhead.
- 1:22Of course, my podcast is the Superchabray podcast. I am a DJ.
- 1:28Yeah it's good to be here man good to be here thank you for being on the show
- 1:34of course you had me on your support your boy podcast.
- 1:39Last year see you up here up at the inner grove office and stuff like that how
- 1:44did you actually get like find your way because there wasn't too many like podcasters
- 1:48up here before that but like how that since you've been up here you've been
- 1:51bringing people here on board showing people the spot and stuff like that how did you get,
- 1:56find your way here so i was also producing a
- 2:01podcast called laughing at your life podcast comedy
- 2:04podcast and we had a lot of
- 2:07people on show this was before my podcast but anyway yeah so on the podcast
- 2:13we also started bringing in local comedians and we got to a level we got we
- 2:19were able to talk to the one and only christian funny and all-time great so
- 2:24he notified me hey you You know,
- 2:27we had mentioned that we were looking for a place that's affordable.
- 2:32And he goes, yeah, I know of a place here in Angrope. It's affordable,
- 2:35great place, a lot of, you know, a lot of opportunity.
- 2:39And I was like, let's try that. And we finally took the information and we ran with it.
- 2:45And it was when we got here. We said how great it was. I'm like, man.
- 2:51It's just letting me know what's going on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:53So I said, sir, there's a great spot. How did you...
- 2:56Get involved like so you wasn't really doing podcasting before that i know before
- 2:59you got it to you was doing a djing and you got a show promoter how did you
- 3:03go from being a want to be a dj being involved in music okay now jumping it
- 3:08to do it like podcasting okay as a show promoter,
- 3:12i was putting that shares in there this is before
- 3:15i was dj here and as the show
- 3:18promoter my shows got better and better to the
- 3:21point where a certain dj nothing that means
- 3:24he got he saw it i was making more money or more people's getting coming to
- 3:29the shows you want to charge more and more i'm like man i'm gonna try to do
- 3:33this myself so i'm looking at this equipment and i just started going ahead
- 3:37and ebay that to myself learn how to use it on youtube or whatever you learn on youtube,
- 3:43so learn how to use what i did and then the next time i did the show.
- 3:48To basically how i got to the lion head is uh it was my day where i was going
- 3:53to put the show around and DJ, and my youngest daughter said,
- 3:58hey, Dad, I know you're about to DJ today.
- 4:00Why don't you take my Halloween mask? It was right after Halloween.
- 4:03She was like, let's take my Halloween mask, which is just lying.
- 4:06And do that. Use it while you're DJing. I'm like, I'm trying to be a serious DJ.
- 4:10And then she was like, you know, came with the puppy eyes.
- 4:12And as she did that, I took it over to the show.
- 4:16I didn't hear it at all. And then at the end, somebody was very new and rough
- 4:21and nobody paid attention to them.
- 4:22The phone was down like this. the crowd was like, you know, and I put the mask
- 4:27on and I started DJing and then I went over there to him, the guy,
- 4:32and I was like, you know, he's doing my mom, you know,
- 4:36and then people went on this to doing this.
- 4:39Ended up on instagram the very next day i saw a post it wasn't mine this is my photo page,
- 4:45it had like 998 views and it
- 4:49was me but homeboy you know had a palm around it i'm
- 4:52like this is all i need to do yeah i saw i got in
- 4:55the dj and there's some with the with being
- 4:57like a dj being tied into the music scene because we
- 5:00had talked um i think we talked yesterday or whatever a little bit about like
- 5:03you even like making beats yeah the producer and stuff like that the overall
- 5:08thing that the graphs that I got from just the general conversations that I've
- 5:12had with you is that you're just overall just a very supportive person of artists.
- 5:19That's correct. People that are all about expressing themselves. Yeah.
- 5:23What I would do a lot before I started doing a show promoting,
- 5:27I was going to artists show.
- 5:29I see somebody had a show and I would go ahead and mention, hey man,
- 5:32great job. I saw you up there, girl. I'm having another show next month.
- 5:36You know, and then But he goes, yeah, my homie's having a show next week.
- 5:40So I go and I just keep doing that, finding artists. And then, yeah.
- 5:44And then I mentioned him, tell him I have a show. And then they all locked in with me.
- 5:48Then I have, but then I'm willing to.
- 5:51Another way we show support is that I would make sure they contact other people.
- 5:57So, hey, look, you got a studio.
- 5:59And look, you're doing this, you're doing that. So it was kind of like a hub
- 6:02to kind of build something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 6:07Do you think we, because I'm just going to go back to like how we were just
- 6:10talking, even like just before. Yeah.
- 6:12As much as Sacramento, like, it's like the artists really support the artists.
- 6:17Yeah. I feel like, you know, but because it's still like such a competitive,
- 6:22based thing that we're doing because everybody wants to feel like they're the
- 6:26best be the best yep how do you select who you choose to support and who you choose not to support,
- 6:33and is it is it the more like the message that the person is trying to distribute or like just,
- 6:39the person in general their actions i latched them
- 6:42online and i see how it does
- 6:45what you say in your dm match
- 6:49what i see on your post like you know
- 6:52what i mean you're like hey you know you support people
- 6:55i'm down with all that but then i never
- 6:58see nobody in your videos just you you know what i
- 7:00mean you never know armies and if you're having
- 7:03time you thought you're sitting with somebody big big name but
- 7:06don't you ain't got no fans yeah yeah i
- 7:09don't know about that but you know somebody who i
- 7:12have to tell you have a lot of people and you know they really try and it's
- 7:16consistency yeah that's one of the main things i look for if i see an artist
- 7:19being consistent i don't mess for hell yeah yeah yeah yeah and so what was the
- 7:24process like with you just going around like you making beats you just made
- 7:29them and then now you was going out,
- 7:32getting artists artists now being able to make music and stuff like that.
- 7:37Yeah what is that what is it like i said because you being somebody that's always
- 7:43supportive that's what the that's almost what the producer is you know so you're
- 7:45making something for the artist to now rap on or or sing on and stuff like that
- 7:52yeah were you ever in front of the mic yes yeah,
- 7:56before i started becoming a dj like you mentioned i had me i may be you know
- 8:02before i was even a show promoter i was in our startup as an artist and then.
- 8:08And then i kind of like stopped beginning so i'm going to get
- 8:11in probably love music i'm going to make beats and
- 8:13then i i started learning
- 8:16off a program or samples and then learn how to
- 8:19do my own took myself to crc okay and
- 8:22learn how to learn how to do music i was certificating that and
- 8:25then i started making beats showing people and
- 8:29then people that i worked with closely with my
- 8:32team they were like uh you
- 8:35really got something really completely do something so we kind of make something together as
- 8:39soon as we put something together and we started trying to
- 8:41get shows and you know we got sam you know
- 8:44the ones who with us we kind of remember them and make
- 8:48sure when we get a chance we show them love you
- 8:50know you know that's how i kind of made that's how
- 8:53i became a music producing artist to
- 8:56a music producer producer to a show and from
- 8:59that to dj yeah i mean that business you're
- 9:02paying it for you're paying it forward because that's your mentors taught
- 9:05you to be that you know so yeah you just pay it forward and
- 9:08stuff like that nice nice so now let's
- 9:12jump forward to podcasting yes the podcasting world how is the podcasting world
- 9:18different from you doing like the working in the music industry because your
- 9:23podcast is see most of you interview yeah artists and stuff like that but you're
- 9:28still not in the music industry. You get it.
- 9:33So the way I worked is when I was... The pandemic started it all.
- 9:38The pandemic, I started finding out what podcasting was, seeing my first podcast.
- 9:44The first one I heard was Bill Burr's podcast. And then what really did it for
- 9:49me is watching 85 South Show. Yeah.
- 9:5285 South Show, see what they were doing, what they were able to talk about.
- 9:57That made me do i wish i could do something like that hence now me and shout
- 10:03out jay and for sure from reference your life podcast is a comedy podcast it
- 10:08was from that idea but anyway.
- 10:11The reason why it kind of connects you now when it comes to djing because as
- 10:16a dj you're out there you know i'm gonna show everybody's having a good time
- 10:21i'm basically talking so the dj and
- 10:24talking about it, they're just hand in hand.
- 10:26And then, of course, when it comes to how I got into podcasting,
- 10:31yeah, you mentioned you started from the 85-style show, and then learning to
- 10:35do it, you know, working at it, working at it, working, getting better and learning. Yeah.
- 10:41What are some of the things that you learned from doing music that you was then
- 10:47able to apply to now to doing podcasting?
- 10:51Well, I started to pipe everything of my podcast equipment through the DJ system.
- 10:58Wait a minute, this thing, how are they getting, my biggest concern was,
- 11:02how do you get the audio where it doesn't have the background in it,
- 11:06it just has straight audio?
- 11:08I don't know why, I didn't know how to do that, so I would just figure out ways
- 11:11that's going on Google and stuff, how do you know, how to get what kind of boxes,
- 11:15I heard about interface,
- 11:17oh wait, like the one we have as a producer, if you have a studio at home you
- 11:22have a computer you know keyboard and your interface connects to your mic which
- 11:29is the same thing for podcasting and you just kind of,
- 11:33come out you enjoy podcasting more than you do.
- 11:37Like deep making yeah.
- 11:41All right it's a different thing
- 11:44though it's two different it's two different they're two different things like because from
- 11:47like what the i would be like podcasting and then even
- 11:50doing like you know stand-up comedy yeah okay yeah i'm still talking i can still
- 11:53you know tell tell sit up here and tell jokes and stuff all like that yeah and
- 11:57it's still a different world and like okay i'm sitting here and telling jokes
- 12:01to audience whereas this is just i mean it almost gets to the point where just
- 12:05barbershop talk you know what i'm saying yeah i would say,
- 12:09beat making can kind of relax me and keep me in a cool mood no matter what.
- 12:16Podcasting is a challenge. You know what I'm saying? I know how to make beats.
- 12:20I know what I'm doing when it comes to the beats and sounds and stuff like that.
- 12:24But podcasting is a challenge because you got to look inward. You know what I mean?
- 12:29You're right, gang. You're just, you know, you're not trying to say that, right?
- 12:33No, I get exactly what you're trying to say because that's why I think with.
- 12:38Comedians doing podcasts is natural to us.
- 12:43The same thing you were just saying, that's how we get to do it.
- 12:46We just got to be very self-reflective and just like, all right,
- 12:50I'm going to say something. Yeah.
- 12:53It's the honesty that you can put out of yourself really shows compared to when
- 13:01you laugh or, you know what I mean?
- 13:04So, well, I'm going to be honest of course they'd be still lying in somebody's
- 13:07song as you know so that comes easy you know what I mean it's more harder to
- 13:11be completely real and honest and look in your side and just you know really
- 13:16tell what's really going on yeah that takes more skill that's a challenge I
- 13:21think it's more difficult from like,
- 13:24being an actor you know trying to like if I it's different if I had like an
- 13:28actor who was a guest on the podcast as opposed to like the actor,
- 13:34host of the podcast because we have almost, because I do both or whatever,
- 13:38but when you approach it as actors and stuff like that, we kind of have.
- 13:43This persona that we have to keep, that people have to see us in some certain
- 13:46light, you know what I'm saying?
- 13:48Otherwise, we're not this big old movie star in our head that we think we are.
- 13:52We want to be and stuff like that. So it's kind of hard for us to kind of just
- 13:55shed that skin, whereas if we're the,
- 13:58person being interviewed or whatever, oh yeah, I've got this, I've done this,
- 14:01I've done that, rather as all right i gotta listen i remember
- 14:06what you said because with comedians being honest
- 14:09with yourself is like part of part of the
- 14:12whole deal you know you know just that's what you got to respect about um we
- 14:18can't lie yeah i mean we could steal jokes but you know you're stealing jokes
- 14:23from somebody who didn't lie about that joke like that's that's their life story
- 14:27that's what that's what they went through, you know.
- 14:30It's really tough for them to lie about themselves when they try to,
- 14:37tell a story you know what i mean so that's what i do like in my communities they're more likely,
- 14:43to be honest about themselves yeah maybe you and myself on the other side but
- 14:48you know themselves then they're off stage yeah they don't feel like they want to tell the truth.
- 14:55Yeah no yeah we're like this is how this is how it is and not only tell the
- 14:59truth about ourselves but we're also telling the truth about like a person in
- 15:03the audience exactly they're laughing about it you know the reaction like oh
- 15:06oh i feel that way yeah yeah you know or if they're not laughing about like
- 15:10oh i feel a certain type of way yeah i agree i mean there's there's this
- 15:16massive freedom to be able to say to be able to try to say what you want in
- 15:20a world of comedian where people are on the outside you know we try to hide
- 15:25some of the things you know we're like okay yeah but comedians job is to yeah
- 15:30you know yeah it's kind of like like i said like with being a rapper,
- 15:33I was like, carry that persona where they're like,
- 15:36at first, it was like, it was okay to lie about the things that you,
- 15:39you know, to sell, to make it seem cool or whatever, but then it turns to where,
- 15:43like, oh, well, I gotta be about what I'm rapping about, you know what I'm saying?
- 15:47How I gotta live this. Now I have to live this life, whereas,
- 15:50like, with comedians, I know, we just been like this our whole lives.
- 15:54And we just finally decided to speak up about it, you know? Yeah.
- 15:58100% agree. Yeah.
- 16:01So while we're on the subject of the podcast, let's get into dive deep into
- 16:06your podcast, the Support Your Boy podcast.
- 16:08I'm going to put the flyer up right here, right now.
- 16:11This is the logo, y'all, so y'all see it on YouTube, Instagram,
- 16:14Facebook, or wherever he has it.
- 16:17Where can't people see the Support Your Boy podcast? I'm going to go to YouTube
- 16:22and please subscribe on YouTube to Support Your Boy podcast.
- 16:26If you're like, hey man I'll try Maybe you got some clips or something I have
- 16:32those on Instagram That's at support underscore chat,
- 16:37underscore B-O-I underscore pod That's on Instagram You can get all the clips,
- 16:46some of the funny clips Some of the,
- 16:48People being real artists It will give you the insider view About being an artist
- 16:54that you never usually never really talk about it so.
- 16:59Yeah now that we have the you're going to get on all podcasts and support your
- 17:05boy you know get into the mind of the person how you know how do they,
- 17:10work do what they do yeah yeah I remember being a guest on your podcast and
- 17:15stuff like that you as it's a very like I said not say,
- 17:18personal questions but definitely questions that would you know to get information
- 17:22out of somebody you know for the purpose of,
- 17:25what's the process so for people to
- 17:28learn it's not necessarily what are
- 17:31you doing to nitpick at what it is it's like no I see you're doing something
- 17:36so let's talk about it so now go back to being supportive other people can learn
- 17:42from what it is that you're doing so now they can learn from your mistakes or
- 17:48learn from your rights right,
- 17:50yeah I agree so when it comes to ran the you want me to ask him questions hmm.
- 17:59You have to forgive me i'm feeling pretty good
- 18:02right now yeah yeah yeah you know what i'm saying yeah let me get back to that
- 18:05yeah we're talking about that that's that yeah yeah i'm feeling really cute
- 18:09right now but um anyway so yeah well basically again we talked before we're
- 18:13talking about is uh the reason i asked the questions that i do because if i wanted to do what you do,
- 18:20what's the process and let me know that what to watch out for her and what i
- 18:25should be doing because sometimes you may use something like,
- 18:28if I'm going to get into comedy, I'm going to learn, you know,
- 18:31what's the process of, you know, how would that work?
- 18:34Do you know what I mean? I'm actually taking advice from somebody who I actually
- 18:36know and trying to get the information that most people won't know.
- 18:41Not that I'm trying to get through.
- 18:43And so what are some of the pros and cons that you've experienced now.
- 18:52With podcasting and spreading that information out?
- 18:56Have people been really supportive of the information?
- 18:59They're going to be like, hey man, we ain't trying to hear this. Or is it like a mixed bag?
- 19:05Most people are supportive of the podcast because I think some of the artists
- 19:12I work with, they're really supportive of what goes on because they see me doing the shit.
- 19:19I was almost like if I was doing shows, instead I was finding another way to support them.
- 19:25I mean, I put on shows and stuff, but when it comes to seeing me going into
- 19:30the podcast, I was like, you know, I never charged, when I was doing shows,
- 19:34I never charged somebody to put them on a flyer. I just do it. You know what I mean?
- 19:39And things of that nature. So, when it comes to me going to the podcast and
- 19:44they see me doing that, it helps them.
- 19:46It helps me. And we just... she has supports i'm like that's my russia point
- 19:51they're gonna support me back and,
- 19:54obviously it's been working yeah because are there are there a lot of podcasts
- 19:58up here in sacramento is there because i'm i'm kind of new with the podcast
- 20:01i've only been doing this for about,
- 20:04dude there are a lot of podcasts in sacramento yeah that i come to find that but.
- 20:12Some of them are not connecting with other podcasters.
- 20:17Yeah. So they may have a patch of friends like, hey, I got friends who smoke
- 20:22weed or something or do something like that.
- 20:24And the only people who are already doing that that they know of,
- 20:27they're only talking. These guys are going to play basketball,
- 20:30talking about the Kings.
- 20:32They're not looking to talk to somebody who is a comedian. They just want to talk about King stuff.
- 20:37Yeah. you know so when it comes to I read a podcast here I found out podcasts everywhere,
- 20:45everywhere I see y'all calling what this is a podcast some of them don't look
- 20:50like the professional ones you see but you know they're at a certain stage podcasts is a podcast yeah,
- 20:55people's growing they're learning it don't even matter you ought to start somewhere
- 20:59yeah that's what I was saying because like I said like with all these different
- 21:03podcasts we got we got we got to talk we got to team up and try to try to do
- 21:07something to where we get like,
- 21:09all these different podcasters just to
- 21:12try to link up we got to try to we we we gonna work
- 21:15we gonna try to figure something like yeah we gotta work something up with that
- 21:18you know so now with that support your boy podcast how's that going how many
- 21:22episodes have you got going on you've had so far 70 now 70 episodes yeah almost
- 21:28100 almost at 100 man congrats man how long did you do it for,
- 21:34since 2022 nice yeah 2022.
- 21:40How do you keep up with the consistency um like I said before I did this podcast
- 21:47my podcast I was with I was the producer of Laughing at Your Life podcast I
- 21:54mean I had ever had a podcast,
- 21:56but the one thing I've noticed I've noticed things didn't grow because I wasn't
- 22:01consistent so when it came to laughing at your life, I just started to be consistent,
- 22:05and I tried to get the girls to make sure they were being consistent,
- 22:09and it took, you know, it took a while, you know,
- 22:12we found out, we started moving, we started being consistent,
- 22:15we started moving from 200 followers, I mean, subscribers on YouTube.
- 22:22To now there's a thousand, so, that's because we're being consistent,
- 22:26you know, the people we were, we were mostly interviewing people we knew, like, around,
- 22:32to the point where we finally got a real comedian and then we started getting
- 22:36all kinds of comedians and,
- 22:38cheek you know rico the great shout out yeah shout out
- 22:41to rico yeah yeah rickerson arcani so that
- 22:44was a claim for being consistent for them to see us you know what i mean so
- 22:49yeah well i found out that uh reason why things have worked out is because you're
- 22:56being consistent that's what i've been holding on to support your point i'll
- 23:00be trying to make it work constantly y'all.
- 23:03I mean, I think out of the whole show of the episodes, I missed one week.
- 23:07Yeah? One week. I was out.
- 23:10But other than that, I just kept going. Shout out to the consistency,
- 23:13bro. The consistency was going to get you there.
- 23:17What I'm going to do here is this is what we do every show. I think I talked
- 23:21about it with you earlier.
- 23:23This is what we call is the Mount Rushmore.
- 23:31Thank you to the mayor. All right. Cool.
- 23:35Yes, y'all. So right now, y'all know Mount Rushmore is a game that we play every
- 23:39episode of the Yeah, Buddy podcast.
- 23:42That's basically where our special guests, we have them do their top four,
- 23:47whatever it is that they specialize at.
- 23:49So for this episode, because we got the Support Your Boy podcast,
- 23:52DJ Lionhead of the building, we are going to do your Mount Rushmore podcast.
- 23:57What podcast motivated you, inspired you to be, support your boy podcast? Okay.
- 24:05Mount Rushmore. We definitely got to start with Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast.
- 24:11That's where, you know, I just thought podcasts were audio.
- 24:15And then he is what, he's definitely on the right track of Mount Rushmore.
- 24:20Number two will have to be, and I think will always be, will be my number one
- 24:24podcast when it comes to the video. Okay.
- 24:2785 South Show. I'm an 85%er. Big time. I have seen them in Sacramento.
- 24:33I plan to see them when they go to Oakland and whenever they come to the area.
- 24:37Anyway, number three, I have to say, ooh, it's going to be a tough one because,
- 24:44yeah, it's going to be tough because they're kind of going through it right
- 24:47now, but brilliant idiots. Okay.
- 24:51Yeah. I love that podcast. They got to go up there.
- 24:55And how many do I get for the Rushmore? Four. Three. Oh my God, one more. One more. Ooh.
- 25:03Yeah. Oh, man. I'm going to get one.
- 25:09Huh. Oh, it's taking me a minute. This is where it always gets tricky. Yeah.
- 25:16Before I was like, man, can I get this six? The first season,
- 25:20I was letting people do it.
- 25:21So if they're pro-boppers, they're like a whole terrain. It wasn't even a mountain.
- 25:23It was just a terrain of just yeah it's just it is now we know we know we know
- 25:28we know i got you i got sure and i'm going to show you that first one it would probably.
- 25:35Yeah i'm not saying joe joe's not not all that to me who's your buddy huh joke
- 25:41oh yeah oh i was like oh yeah he's going by the podcast now i will probably say,
- 25:49i like your mom's house the comedy podcast
- 25:52okay who's who hosts that one okay i'm scared
- 25:56me and his wife this is how
- 26:00old your name anyway i like
- 26:03that i look at podcasts a lot i'm gonna say
- 26:06that because i have that four i put them up
- 26:09there he said the one thing i do like like
- 26:12you were talking about like the joe buddy podcast this is the
- 26:15joe buddy podcast but one thing i do like i do
- 26:18depend about like the joe buddard podcast okay whenever like
- 26:22outside like their hot takes or whatever stuff like that but like whenever like
- 26:25joe buddard goes in it talks about like what's happening in the music industry
- 26:29yeah as much as like like you look at like the guest like not even the guest
- 26:34the host the coast stuff like that they look at it from like a fan's perspective
- 26:38and they're always disagree with what he's saying but then like,
- 26:42down the line it usually always turns out right and so I always so I always
- 26:47relate to that to like what's ever going on.
- 26:51In movies you know the movie just the movie business in general because what's
- 26:55ever happened to the music industry is the same thing that's happened to the
- 26:59movie industry stuff like that so I just so whatever,
- 27:04get through all the hot takes you know the gossip
- 27:07and all that type of stuff but whenever they own in and talk about
- 27:10like yeah what's what's happening the the
- 27:13whatever's happening in the entertainment business like
- 27:16from the business side as it relates to
- 27:20you know fans watching and stuff like that like
- 27:22all the stuff that may be going on with like the hot takes
- 27:25was you know drake and kendrick lamar and stuff all like yeah and
- 27:28you look at it but i'm all like there has to be
- 27:31something going on like you like for the business side of things for
- 27:34things to be swayed this way that from the like from the
- 27:37fan base you you're not it doesn't need really need
- 27:40to concern you but from somebody who is trying to
- 27:43pursue you know be in this business in some capacity and
- 27:46i've got to like look at it like oh this is what's really going
- 27:49on yeah so i do so i
- 27:52do i do take like listen to that because i say
- 27:55a lot of times when he does as wet brash or you know opinion or much of the
- 28:00asshole people you know db but i'm all like his experience in the entertainment
- 28:04industry made him that you know that's true yeah and without like when you're
- 28:10somebody as talented as he was like from the rapper's perspective but they're still.
- 28:15Understand that none of that mattered. As talented as a rapper, none of that matters.
- 28:21So he has this perspective of how the entertainment works from somebody who was inside it.
- 28:27He's free to speak on it. But he does it as such a code to where if you're somebody
- 28:31who you got to really hear what he's saying.
- 28:37That's just what I take away from that. But then I also listen to...
- 28:41I feel like I get that a lot from my rappers podcast.
- 28:44I get a lot of that from a million dollars worth of gain. You hear about that
- 28:49from drink champs or something like that.
- 28:52Something about just.
- 28:56Barbershop talk. They're not afraid to just... We ain't trying to get back up
- 29:03into this entertainment business or be part of that whole circus.
- 29:06It's just that barbershop talk where you just hear them talk about what the business is like.
- 29:13And like speaking at it from an artist hearing it from an artist perspective I'm all like,
- 29:19oh I can see why you know like when somebody like falls off you're like man
- 29:24that bumper he was so talented so how I'm like oh business something on the
- 29:29business side went wrong so that's why even now like with the way I move like
- 29:33when you see like this tablet right here and stuff all like this I mean,
- 29:38not trying to like rude, but like, you know, my whole funny business thing,
- 29:40you know what I'm saying? Like business didn't, business blew up.
- 29:43You know what I'm saying?
- 29:45But I took all the funny, this is funny business now. Yeah.
- 29:49I don't got to worry about that drama. You know what I mean? Like I say,
- 29:53learning from what he's talking about, because like I said, like everything
- 29:57is being like all these, these record label companies, if they found out that
- 30:01a machine could do the work that people can do, I'm going to have a machine do it.
- 30:05Right. And I'm all like, hey, well, you know what?
- 30:08I don't care. I'm a machine that can do it.
- 30:12Exactly. So, yeah, I agree. I mean, the fact that you can, you can,
- 30:17you can, compound, what's the word?
- 30:22Compound or something like that. Yeah. Yeah, you know what I'm trying to say.
- 30:25You know. That's C word. Yeah.
- 30:29The fact that you can get it all together. Compress. Compress,
- 30:32yeah. Maybe that's what I mean. Yeah, I don't know. It's one of those C words. Yeah.
- 30:37The fact that you can do that and you don't have to have it you gotta be waiting
- 30:41on this person to do this and that person to do that,
- 30:46it's the one in the world you know what I mean but that's what it is yeah but
- 30:51that's just my little hot take on that but anyways you got any events or anything
- 30:57coming up before we wrap up this episode,
