- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, well, well, good morning friends, Tuesday morning feels like
- 0:05Speaker 2: a Monday. We're here, we're just getting things started. Ricky
- 0:08Speaker 2: Sanchez has those three things.
- 0:09Speaker 3: The powerball jackpot is going up again. There were no
- 0:12Speaker 3: winners in last night's powerball drawing worth one point one billion,
- 0:17Speaker 3: which means the winning prize is going up. Tomorrow's drawing
- 0:20Speaker 3: will be worth one point three billion if paid over
- 0:23Speaker 3: thirty years, or the cash payout for the jackpot winner
- 0:26Speaker 3: would be around six hundred million. Either way, you're doing
- 0:30Speaker 3: pretty great. So go ahead and buy yourself a powerball ticket.
- 0:34Speaker 3: If you do, and you win any money, you must
- 0:35Speaker 3: split it with me because you just got the idea
- 0:37Speaker 3: from me. And good luck to everybody.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fair.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Costco's new policy change went into effect yesterday. Back in June,
- 0:46Speaker 3: they introduced this new policy change that brought a lot
- 0:49Speaker 3: of controversy. So it's a perk for customers who have
- 0:52Speaker 3: the more expensive executive membership. So since June thirtieth, anybody
- 0:56Speaker 3: with a Costco Executive membership had an extra like exclusive
- 1:01Speaker 3: hour long shopping window before other customers were allowed in
- 1:04Speaker 3: the stores. There's been a little bit of a grace period,
- 1:07Speaker 3: but now the policy is officially one hundred percent going
- 1:09Speaker 3: to be strictly enforced as of yesterday. So just check
- 1:12Speaker 3: with Costco of when that hour is, because if you
- 1:15Speaker 3: do not have the executive membership, nothing worse than going
- 1:18Speaker 3: out to Costco being ready to go hype to get
- 1:20Speaker 3: your things done and then realize you can't. So check
- 1:23Speaker 3: with your local Costco as to when that great that
- 1:26Speaker 3: little hour hour period is because you want to make
- 1:29Speaker 3: sure that you don't end up, you know, kind of
- 1:31Speaker 3: messed up and out of whack. And Music City Bacon
- 1:35Speaker 3: and Barrel Festival is happening this weekend. It's happening on
- 1:37Speaker 3: Friday at Factory at Franklin six to nine pm. This
- 1:41Speaker 3: is a place where you can sample a bunch of
- 1:43Speaker 3: different whiskeys, but also eat a lot of bacon themed dishes,
- 1:48Speaker 3: which sounds honestly phenomenal if you ask me. You can
- 1:51Speaker 3: expect live music and other activities. When you buy a ticket,
- 1:54Speaker 3: you will have unlimited samples of signature bacon themed dishes
- 1:58Speaker 3: and ten different ways ski samples. Tickets can be found
- 2:01Speaker 3: at Nashville dot Bacon and Barrel dot com if that's
- 2:04Speaker 3: something you're interested in for this weekend, Sanchez, and those
- 2:08Speaker 3: are the three things you need to know.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Good stuff, Thank you very much, Ricky appreciated.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Good to see you guys on this Tuesday morning. Thank
- 2:14Speaker 4: you for being here as well.
- 2:16Speaker 2: We do have something very exciting for the first caller.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Within about ten minutes, Tate mccraye. Tickets went him next
- 2:21Speaker 2: down the.
- 2:21Speaker 6: River, Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Okay, everybody in Unison, it's gonna be well.
- 2:30Speaker 4: But you never give us a countdown. That's why I'll
- 2:32Speaker 4: give you a countdown. Okay.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I want everyone to say good morning to Jonathan and Manchester. Okay, yep, three,
- 2:38Speaker 3: two one, Good morning in Manchester. That was great, guys.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Welcome to one oh seven five the River. Thank you
- 2:48Speaker 3: got the best like in Unison. Welcome that I think
- 2:52Speaker 3: the guys have ever done it.
- 2:53Speaker 4: It was a countdown. Yeah, even if we can't be stopped. Jonathan.
- 2:58Speaker 4: How is your Labor Day weekend, buddy?
- 2:59Speaker 7: I was great, just hung out with fram.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Great, nice.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Nice. I relaxed this weekend a lot too. I then
- 3:06Speaker 3: lost track of time though, like I forgot what day
- 3:08Speaker 3: it was because I was like, what am I doing?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Where am I don't even know what day it is.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I felt that yesterday as well, felt like a Sunday.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It wasn't a Sunday.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Jonathan, I got a question for you, because I feel
- 3:17Speaker 7: like a lot of people cook over Labor Day weekend.
- 3:19Speaker 7: If you could only eat one condiment for the rest
- 3:21Speaker 7: of your life, what would it be good question?
- 3:24Speaker 8: One condiment?
- 3:25Speaker 4: Yep, I love Mayo.
- 3:30Speaker 5: It's a big Jersey thing. Ricky's from New Jersey.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Not a big Jersey joke.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Does salsa count, Zach? I mean, I guess so, Okay,
- 3:37Speaker 4: I go to salsa.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I feel like salsa is its own meal.
- 3:40Speaker 7: Well, you can put it on top of things, like
- 3:42Speaker 7: on a burrito. That's a convent.
- 3:44Speaker 3: This is a whole other conversation. Jonathan, you are the
- 3:47Speaker 3: first caller of the day. You're getting tickets to see
- 3:49Speaker 3: Tate McCrae. I bridged an arena on September eleven.
- 3:52Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 3:52Speaker 3: I appreciated.
- 3:53Speaker 4: This is big. These are sold out tickets.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's very hard to get these and you just got
- 3:57Speaker 2: a fair Congrats, buddy, Thank.
- 3:59Speaker 3: You, Thank you for hanging out with us, and for
- 4:01Speaker 3: especially hanging out with us this early in the morning.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It worked out.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Well for you, if you can hang on the line,
- 4:06Speaker 3: we'll get your invoka.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, Mary sold out ticket at the same
- 4:10Speaker 2: time tomorrow.
- 4:12Speaker 5: Here are the facts that we know so far.
- 4:14Speaker 4: It's one O seven five The River.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Zach stole something over the weekend and he got caught.
- 4:19Speaker 7: And it was one of the most embarrassing moments of
- 4:22Speaker 7: my entire life.
- 4:23Speaker 5: I truly know nothing about this. Ricky doesn't know either.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Right after Alex Moore and he will tell us what
- 4:28Speaker 2: he stole and what's wrong with it.
- 4:30Speaker 1: One O seven five Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Yes, we work with a thief. It's one O seven
- 4:36Speaker 5: five the River.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Good morning friends, thank you for starting your morning with Ricky,
- 4:39Speaker 2: Zach and Mano. Zach stole something and got caught. Sure,
- 4:45Speaker 2: did we wanna do you wanna tell us what happened? Man?
- 4:47Speaker 3: I also want to preface that off air, Zach had
- 4:50Speaker 3: said I don't really know if it's actually steal. He's
- 4:53Speaker 3: trying to backtrack now because now he's getting more and
- 4:56Speaker 3: more nervous as we're starting to talk about it. So
- 4:59Speaker 3: what is it that you stole? Who did you seal
- 5:00Speaker 3: it from?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Okay?
- 5:01Speaker 7: So What had happened was is I was out with
- 5:03Speaker 7: our friend Kate on Sunday and we went to this
- 5:06Speaker 7: really cute bar.
- 5:06Speaker 4: It's called Cherri's in East Nashville.
- 5:08Speaker 7: So we went there, we were sitting outside and this
- 5:11Speaker 7: girl behind us got up and left. She left an
- 5:13Speaker 7: entirely full drink on the table, and so Kate was like,
- 5:17Speaker 7: can you believe she'd just left that whole drink, didn't
- 5:19Speaker 7: touch it, nothing, And I was.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Like, well, that's mine now, So I got up that
- 5:23Speaker 4: I took the drink.
- 5:24Speaker 2: This is, by the way, this is a pattern. This
- 5:26Speaker 2: is zech does us all the time. He takes food
- 5:28Speaker 2: from people's plate, strangers and restaurants, airports, everywhere all the time.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but like, she didn't touch it, she didn't drink
- 5:34Speaker 4: out of it.
- 5:35Speaker 7: She left, and I was like, well, they're just gonna
- 5:36Speaker 7: pour it out, So now that's just wasting money if
- 5:39Speaker 7: she already paid for the drink. So I got the drink,
- 5:41Speaker 7: brought it over to my table and our friend Kate,
- 5:44Speaker 7: she was like, yeah, I'm positive they left, Like they
- 5:46Speaker 7: just walked up the front door and they're gone.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I was like, okay, cool.
- 5:49Speaker 7: She comes walking back in the front door with a
- 5:52Speaker 7: group of friends. So I guess she went out friends
- 5:53Speaker 7: to go meet her friends. And so now I'm just
- 5:55Speaker 7: sitting at the table with her drink in my hand,
- 5:58Speaker 7: and all of her friends come over to the table,
- 6:00Speaker 7: and I was like, oh God, what do I do now?
- 6:02Speaker 7: Do I return the drink? Do I buy her a
- 6:04Speaker 7: new one?
- 6:05Speaker 3: You buy her psychopath? You don't return the one that
- 6:08Speaker 3: you took.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Well, maybe even two I did return it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Maybe I would never have taken that from you. I
- 6:14Speaker 3: would have been like, this man is psychotic. You don't
- 6:17Speaker 3: take drinks from strangers. Did she take the drink she did?
- 6:20Speaker 3: I was like, I promise I didn't drink out of it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I didn't touch I didn't do anything. And I was like,
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. I thought you guys left. Oh so
- 6:27Speaker 3: here's your drink back. I literally thought you were gone.
- 6:30Speaker 3: And she was so cool about it. She was like, Yo,
- 6:32Speaker 3: that's so real because I would have done the same thing.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I mean, maybe she was cool about it. Was not
- 6:37Speaker 2: smart at all. No, no, no, if there's anybody out
- 6:40Speaker 2: there listening, please don't do what she did, or don't
- 6:42Speaker 2: do what ZAG did. Just learn a lot from the
- 6:44Speaker 2: story of of What not to do.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Don't take drinks from strangers.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Well, I'm like, is it really stealing then, because.
- 6:52Speaker 7: Yes, if she had actually left, then it would have
- 6:55Speaker 7: just been poured out and the drink was already paid.
- 6:57Speaker 3: She didn't leave, though, it's stealing. You stole her.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Drink, returned it promptly.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah. Gross, that is psychotic behavior.
- 7:07Speaker 7: But you just like leave food and drinks on a
- 7:09Speaker 7: table and you expect me not.
- 7:11Speaker 4: To eat it or drink it.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yes, be a normal, civilized human being. What are you talking?
- 7:16Speaker 7: We were balling on a budget out here in twenty
- 7:18Speaker 7: twenty weekend.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Your first time out into like the real world.
- 7:22Speaker 9: What is happening, Zach.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll try to like find the silver lining and
- 7:26Speaker 2: defend you. But every element of this story, everybody involved
- 7:29Speaker 2: in the wrong thing, still all failed.
- 7:31Speaker 3: A horrifying story, is all bad.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Three things you need to know a few.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Minutes past seven o'clock on this Tuesday morning, Here's do
- 7:39Speaker 2: a great week ahead, friends, Thank you for being here.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Ricky's yet three things you need to know.
- 7:43Speaker 3: This is a bad story, but with an amazing ending
- 7:46Speaker 3: that I think is like very unique to Nashville. So,
- 7:49Speaker 3: the suspects that were involved in the alcohol theft at
- 7:51Speaker 3: Rose Pepper Cantina have been identified. Rose Epper said in
- 7:55Speaker 3: an online post that multiple people broke into their restaurant
- 7:58Speaker 3: around twelve forty five in the morning on Wednesday and
- 8:01Speaker 3: stole about twelve hundred dollars worth of alcohol, which is
- 8:04Speaker 3: a lot of alcohol. They shared the videos of surveillance.
- 8:08Speaker 3: They asked the community to help them with any information
- 8:10Speaker 3: on the burglars, and it worked. They're confident that they
- 8:13Speaker 3: now know two of the three people who were involved
- 8:15Speaker 3: in the crime from at least what they could see
- 8:17Speaker 3: from surveillance. The information was given to Metro National Police
- 8:20Speaker 3: and the restaurant put out a sweet thank you to
- 8:23Speaker 3: the community for helping them. I think this is just
- 8:25Speaker 3: a very uniquely Nashville type thing that a business can
- 8:29Speaker 3: come to the community and say, hey, we really need
- 8:32Speaker 3: your help, and everybody showed up and showed out this
- 8:34Speaker 3: weekend for them as well. They packed out the place
- 8:38Speaker 3: in support, and I just really think that's such a
- 8:40Speaker 3: great ending to something that is just terrible for sure,
- 8:43Speaker 3: because obviously no one ever wants to get anything stolen
- 8:46Speaker 3: from them, especially a local business. But I'm glad that
- 8:48Speaker 3: it all worked out in the end and that they
- 8:49Speaker 3: found the people. Fifth Harmony performed for the first time
- 8:53Speaker 3: in years at the Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas over
- 8:56Speaker 3: the weekend, a bunch of them, all four of them.
- 8:59Speaker 3: They're now a quartet because Camilla Cobeo is no longer
- 9:02Speaker 3: a part of this. It was the first time that
- 9:04Speaker 3: they all performed together since our hiatus in twenty eighteen.
- 9:07Speaker 3: We knew that they were going to be reuniting in
- 9:09Speaker 3: twenty twenty five, but we didn't know exactly when. But
- 9:12Speaker 3: it looks like this is their comeback. It's happening. Also,
- 9:15Speaker 3: on Fifth Harmony's website, they updated with new merch after
- 9:18Speaker 3: previously having a very cryptic message that said something would
- 9:21Speaker 3: be quote unquote coming soon. So here we are. We're
- 9:24Speaker 3: in our new Fifth Harmony era. I'm excited. I'm hoping
- 9:27Speaker 3: that there's new music on the way. When they do
- 9:29Speaker 3: announce anything, I will let you.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Know the Jonas Brothers do. It's a big stuff on
- 9:32Speaker 4: this too.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yes they are. Russell Diggerson was on with them recently too,
- 9:37Speaker 3: Like they are just really making it as big as
- 9:39Speaker 3: human as possible. And all five Twilight films will be
- 9:43Speaker 3: released in theaters this October, so next month you could
- 9:46Speaker 3: see the Twilight movies in celebration of the original book
- 9:49Speaker 3: turning twenty first movie Twilight is going to be in
- 9:52Speaker 3: theatre's October twenty ninth, and each day after we'll be
- 9:55Speaker 3: a different Twilight movie. Check your local listings to see
- 9:58Speaker 3: which theater closest to you is offering show. I looked
- 10:00Speaker 3: it up just before and thorover A twenty came up
- 10:03Speaker 3: and AMC Murphysborough sixteen is two spots that will be
- 10:06Speaker 3: showing Twilight on the twenty ninth, So check out your
- 10:09Speaker 3: local listings for that if you're a huge Twilight fan.
- 10:13Speaker 3: It's also nice like October and it's all like fall
- 10:16Speaker 3: weather and spooky season. Twilight just kind of fits in
- 10:20Speaker 3: right there. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three
- 10:22Speaker 3: things you need to know.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And by the way, just in case you guys are wondering,
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm team afword all the way.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Right after this song, we's got a fact.
- 10:29Speaker 3: We're gonna keep me up at night. Thank you for
- 10:30Speaker 3: letting me know.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Zach's Fax next down the river, one O seven, the River.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning, It's time for
- 10:38Speaker 1: Zach's Fax.
- 10:39Speaker 3: On one O seven five of the river.
- 10:40Speaker 7: It's a kind of sad fact, but it is what
- 10:42Speaker 7: it is, so buckle up, Buttercup. But apparently during September
- 10:46Speaker 7: we lose the most amount of daylight of any month
- 10:49Speaker 7: all year long. So here in Tennessee we lose more
- 10:52Speaker 7: than an hour throughout the month of September. So every
- 10:55Speaker 7: single day we lose about ten minutes and ten seconds
- 10:58Speaker 7: of daylight.
- 10:59Speaker 4: So by the end of the month, to add that
- 11:00Speaker 4: to about an hour of.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Daylight that we lose during say every day, it's ten minutes.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Two minutes and ten seconds.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I'm pretty well two.
- 11:12Speaker 5: That math makes more sense, Thank you, Zach.
- 11:14Speaker 4: There's math of the day, not math.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and men in the morning.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Does your kid have a piece of clothing that they
- 11:23Speaker 3: want to wear every single day? keV Doug, you're currently
- 11:27Speaker 3: going through this with Riley, right, You're saying, my.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Son, Riley, he's in first grade.
- 11:31Speaker 2: He he loves this YouTuber named Preston Preston Plays, and
- 11:34Speaker 2: he's we got him a shirt and a sweatshirt with
- 11:36Speaker 2: Preston's logo. It's like a flame, and I have to
- 11:39Speaker 2: hide it so he doesn't wear it every single day,
- 11:42Speaker 2: like he never wants to take it off. But you
- 11:45Speaker 2: can't wear the same thing every single day, so I
- 11:48Speaker 2: gotta constantly tell him nobody, I think it's dirty.
- 11:50Speaker 4: And I tucked away.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Something that just reminds me of Big Daddy, where he's like,
- 11:54Speaker 3: I don't want to have this smelly kidding class.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Six one five, seven, three, seven nineven. I know there
- 12:01Speaker 2: are all the parents out there that can relate to this.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Maybe even it was you when you were a kid.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Oh I had something, did you?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Oh?
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I had something that I wanted to wear every
- 12:08Speaker 3: single day.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Okay, you saved that. We're gonna get Ricky's as well, but.
- 12:11Speaker 2: We want to hear from you. Six one, five, seven,
- 12:13Speaker 2: three seven nine one seven. Does your kid want to
- 12:15Speaker 2: wear the same thing every single day?
- 12:16Speaker 9: Let us know one.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Ricky Zach and Menno in the morning.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Piece of clothing does your kid want to wear every
- 12:24Speaker 3: single day? It's Ricky Zachamano in the morning on one
- 12:27Speaker 3: O seven five the River. Kevin's going through this with
- 12:29Speaker 3: his son Riley. He wants to wear the same shirt
- 12:32Speaker 3: every day, and he just can't wear the same shirt
- 12:34Speaker 3: every day.
- 12:35Speaker 5: You can't do it.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Kreta and Gallatin, what is it for your kid.
- 12:38Speaker 8: We have seven children. They're all grown now. But there
- 12:42Speaker 8: was a time that one of our boys wore the
- 12:45Speaker 8: same Nike sweatshirt every single day, and it kind of
- 12:49Speaker 8: had a really like crazy print on it, so it
- 12:53Speaker 8: was very recognizable. Sure, we finally threw it out in
- 12:57Speaker 8: the front yard and set playing to it as a fam.
- 13:01Speaker 4: You actually lit it on fire.
- 13:03Speaker 8: On fire in the front yard. It was a little traumatic,
- 13:07Speaker 8: but like we laugh at it so hard.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Now, Oh my god, was he okay after you lit
- 13:12Speaker 3: it on fire?
- 13:13Speaker 8: There really wasn't a choice.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Was there no choice?
- 13:19Speaker 3: It's always hard to write because it seems like the
- 13:21Speaker 3: things that we cling to are the things that are
- 13:23Speaker 3: so recognizable, so like everybody's gonna know that you're wearing
- 13:27Speaker 3: it every day. Like it's never like a black T
- 13:29Speaker 3: shirt that nobody can tell the difference. It's always something
- 13:31Speaker 3: that really sticks out. That's one way of handling it, Greta,
- 13:34Speaker 3: that's for sure, we handle it all.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I sure did. I like you called it a little traumatic.
- 13:39Speaker 2: That is terrifying for a child, but it sounds like
- 13:42Speaker 2: it's all okay.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Now. Water under the brain.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Does that build character? Kevin? And then later on in life,
- 13:47Speaker 3: like she said, they laugh about it.
- 13:48Speaker 8: Now they're literally twenty. They're fine.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Greta, thank you for calling. We appreciate you.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Jessica in Kentucky, Welcome to the river. Does your child
- 13:58Speaker 2: have an article of clothing that they refuse to off?
- 14:00Speaker 6: Oh?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, they have a gray under armour shirt and a
- 14:04Speaker 3: blue car heart shirt that is maybe one time too small,
- 14:08Speaker 3: but they refuse to give it up.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I feel like all those under armour shirts on little
- 14:13Speaker 2: kids are just so tight.
- 14:15Speaker 9: I mean, they just they can't do it.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Oh, how old are they? They are ten and eleven. Okay, see,
- 14:22Speaker 3: I feel like it's kind of cute still when they're young.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Like with Riley, I think it's kind of cute.
- 14:27Speaker 4: It's not.
- 14:28Speaker 3: It gets concerning as they get old.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Well, here's my thing.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Here's why I'm like particularly like sensitive to him not
- 14:34Speaker 2: wearing the same thing every day. I still have this memory.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I think I was in kindergarten, er first grade or
- 14:39Speaker 2: whatever it was. I had a Mighty Ducks jersey because
- 14:41Speaker 2: I love the movie Mighty.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Ducks Classic, and I wore it.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Way too often, and I remember somebody saying like, is
- 14:46Speaker 2: it the only shirt you have? And it stuck with me. Forever, like,
- 14:50Speaker 2: that's that's scarring for kids. So I want to spare
- 14:52Speaker 2: him that.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Kevin, that's your trauma, not your kids. I know.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I don't want the same thing to happen to him.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Oh my god, Jessica, thank you for calling in Morning
- 15:03Speaker 3: Love Bite.
- 15:04Speaker 4: What was it for you?
- 15:05Speaker 3: I had? I loved. My dad is a construction worker
- 15:09Speaker 3: and he would wear tims every day. So I always
- 15:12Speaker 3: wanted to wear daddy boots, is what I call them.
- 15:15Speaker 3: So I had baby tims, like little tims for little kids,
- 15:18Speaker 3: and I wanted to wear them Timberlin's, oh their work boots.
- 15:24Speaker 3: And because I wanted to be like my dad, so
- 15:26Speaker 3: would always say, I want to wear my daddy boots.
- 15:28Speaker 3: So I would wear these frilly dresses and daddy boots
- 15:31Speaker 3: which were timbals.
- 15:32Speaker 5: That's cute, but it's also very ricky.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yes it is.
- 15:35Speaker 3: It's very very ricky. You got to a point tho
- 15:37Speaker 3: where everyone's like, okay, you need to wear other shoes, Ricky,
- 15:44Speaker 3: Zach and Morning Murphy'sboro, tell us what piece of clothing
- 15:47Speaker 3: your kids want to wear every day?
- 15:49Speaker 9: Okay? So I have a two year old son and
- 15:53Speaker 9: he refuses to wear any other shoes besides his croc
- 15:58Speaker 9: and he will fight me in the morning if I
- 16:03Speaker 9: try to put something else on him. He's not going
- 16:06Speaker 9: for it. He's bawling his eyes out.
- 16:08Speaker 8: He's like, my croc, Oh want my crocs.
- 16:12Speaker 9: So sometimes he'll be in Deans with cocks on.
- 16:16Speaker 7: Okay, Ricky and I both just got our very first
- 16:19Speaker 7: pair of crocs, and I understand the fascination out they're
- 16:23Speaker 7: so comfortable.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Yeah, we're kind of we're kind of on his side.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Lea.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I'm sorry, yeah, tell.
- 16:30Speaker 2: You, And that's just what as a parent, that's one
- 16:32Speaker 2: of those battles you just don't even bother.
- 16:34Speaker 9: Just let him wear the crocs, right, anything to get
- 16:37Speaker 9: him out the door.
- 16:38Speaker 8: Right.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Thank you for calling in love. We appreciate you.
- 16:41Speaker 9: Yes, y'all have a blessed day too.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Crocs just like they did a one with the way
- 16:47Speaker 2: people saw their brand.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah. Also, I'm just gonna go ahead and say this, too,
- 16:51Speaker 3: tiny crocs.
- 16:53Speaker 4: They are the cutest things on the entire planet.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so cute, Like they just look so like they're
- 16:59Speaker 3: not even like, do you know what I mean? Jerke
- 17:02Speaker 3: put them on, who cares? They're just so tiny too.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Not to go to Devon crocks here.
- 17:07Speaker 2: But you know the movie Idiocracy, Yes, that was the
- 17:10Speaker 2: first time most people ever saw crocks because when they
- 17:13Speaker 2: were making that movie, the guy who created the movie thought,
- 17:15Speaker 2: what are the dumbest looking shoes that people could be
- 17:17Speaker 2: wearing all the time in.
- 17:18Speaker 5: The future, And that's why he chose crocs.
- 17:21Speaker 2: And now here we are in the future, and they
- 17:23Speaker 2: are just the only thing anybody wears.
- 17:24Speaker 4: They're so comfortable.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Though.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I don't care where anybody says about my crocks. I
- 17:28Speaker 4: love them. They really are.
- 17:30Speaker 7: We're so good.
- 17:30Speaker 3: But that makes me so scared to think about.
- 17:33Speaker 9: Uh.
- 17:33Speaker 5: We do have Miles Smith tickets with the Game of
- 17:35Speaker 5: the Day.
- 17:36Speaker 4: It's a fun one.
- 17:36Speaker 5: This week we're playing next down.
- 17:38Speaker 6: The River, Ritchie, Zach and Menno in the morning.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I'm about to get into Kevin Manno's Game of the
- 17:44Speaker 3: Day presented by Genesis Diamonds on one oh seven five
- 17:46Speaker 3: the River. Miles Smith at the Ryman September sixteenth. Those
- 17:50Speaker 3: are the tickets up for grabs. Gonna be a great show.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Any show with the Ryman is phenomenal, but Miles Smith
- 17:55Speaker 3: at the Ryman gonna be amazing. We're playing Halloween trivia
- 17:59Speaker 3: for these tickets Kaylin and Nashville, good morning. Are you
- 18:02Speaker 3: ready to play the game?
- 18:04Speaker 4: First time? This week? We're doing this.
- 18:05Speaker 2: We are all very much in the Halloween spirit already
- 18:07Speaker 2: now that it's September. So you got to get two
- 18:09Speaker 2: out of three of these questions right. If you can
- 18:11Speaker 2: do that, the tickets are yours, Kaylin. Your game starts
- 18:14Speaker 2: right now. Mary Shelley is an author that famously created
- 18:20Speaker 2: what Halloween Monster.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Drinking sign?
- 18:30Speaker 5: I was going to add the asterisk, but you did
- 18:32Speaker 5: it for us.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Nice job, extra points, even though that's not how the
- 18:36Speaker 3: game works.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Okay, this is another you know, thing ripped from TV's
- 18:40Speaker 2: and movies and stuff, but it's kind of a tougher one.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Factory Binks and Salem are both what.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Cat?
- 18:52Speaker 4: Can you be a little more specific?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Black cats?
- 18:56Speaker 4: Okay, all right, I guess I was looking for talking
- 18:59Speaker 4: talking cats. You know who they are? You're right?
- 19:02Speaker 3: You win. Congratulations. You're gonna go see Miles Smith at
- 19:08Speaker 3: the Ryman on September sixteenth.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Awesome. Yeah, And just so we're all clear, Thakory Banks
- 19:14Speaker 2: is from hocus Pocus, and then Salem is from Sabrina
- 19:18Speaker 2: the Teenage Witch.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Correct, and they are in case you were wondering talking
- 19:22Speaker 3: black cats.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I didn't know we had to be so specific about
- 19:26Speaker 4: the cat. Well here we are good. We're good.
- 19:28Speaker 5: Congratulations, Thank you for listening. Have fun at the show.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Thank you, Kevin.
- 19:32Speaker 7: Do you just like enjoy making things more difficult than
- 19:34Speaker 7: they need to be?
- 19:35Speaker 4: I genuinely do. We're playing again tomorrow in all week,
- 19:39Speaker 4: same game, Halloween trivia for these tickets.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Three things you need to know you are right.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Thank you for starting your day with us.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Lee Corso's final College Game Day made history over the weekend.
- 19:52Speaker 3: After spending his life dedicated to football through coaching and
- 19:55Speaker 3: then as an analyst and kickstarting the College Game Day
- 19:58Speaker 3: broadcast in nineteen eighty seven, Lee has retired. His final
- 20:02Speaker 3: broadcast was over the weekend, where at peak viewership, five
- 20:05Speaker 3: point one million viewers tuned in to watch, making it
- 20:09Speaker 3: the most watched episode in the show's history. He also
- 20:12Speaker 3: went six for six with his predictions, which is honestly
- 20:15Speaker 3: like the most iconic thing ever. Every single one that
- 20:19Speaker 3: he predicted one and a lot of them were upsets too,
- 20:22Speaker 3: like ones that nobody thought was gonna happen. So congrats
- 20:25Speaker 3: to him. On an amazing career and also on finishing
- 20:28Speaker 3: with such a high note as well. MTSU Police are
- 20:31Speaker 3: offering self defense classes for women. The class is going
- 20:35Speaker 3: to teach the rad Systems, which is described as a
- 20:37Speaker 3: woman only course that teaches you how to defend against
- 20:40Speaker 3: various types of assault. Classes are open to any female
- 20:43Speaker 3: thirteen years or older, and attendees are not required to
- 20:46Speaker 3: be a student, faculty, or staff of the college, so
- 20:49Speaker 3: anybody can go. It's a free class fifteen hours total
- 20:52Speaker 3: and meets for three hours weekly. They're going to be
- 20:55Speaker 3: held on mtsu's campus each Monday in September. You can
- 20:58Speaker 3: find out all the information and you can register at
- 21:01Speaker 3: police dot MTSU dot edu slash rad r. They're doing that.
- 21:07Speaker 4: I love that.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I think that's absolutely phenomenal. It's something that I think
- 21:11Speaker 3: every woman should, you know, at least dabble in a bit,
- 21:15Speaker 3: you know, even if you don't go to a class,
- 21:16Speaker 3: you should look into these things. And the majority of
- 21:19Speaker 3: Americans think they can do their work in a four
- 21:21Speaker 3: day work week. According to a new survey, sixty nine
- 21:24Speaker 3: percent of workers think that they could be just as
- 21:26Speaker 3: productive within thirty two hours each week, and if people
- 21:30Speaker 3: were to choose which weekday they would want off. Friday
- 21:33Speaker 3: leads with fifty five percent, followed by Monday with twenty
- 21:36Speaker 3: four percent, which totally checks out. It makes sense. I
- 21:39Speaker 3: personally would be in the Monday category. I'd want Mondays off. Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez. And those are the three things you
- 21:44Speaker 3: need to know.
- 21:44Speaker 5: I might why Wednesday off just right in the middle there.
- 21:47Speaker 3: You're just totally shaking things up there totally.
- 21:49Speaker 4: That's what I do, Ricky.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Okay, And this week is a nice This week is
- 21:53Speaker 5: a nice test.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Of that four day work week.
- 21:54Speaker 2: See you, they can get all your work done this
- 21:56Speaker 2: week since we just had Monday off.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So if you can do.
- 21:58Speaker 6: It for Ricky zach Men in the morning on one
- 22:01Speaker 6: oh seven five The River unwritten on one O seven
- 22:04Speaker 6: five The River.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I hope you guys enjoyed that as much as we
- 22:07Speaker 3: did in the studio.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I am out of breath. Yeah, I've never seen you
- 22:11Speaker 4: two move that much. That was crazy.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna try and find the video and post it
- 22:15Speaker 3: at one O seven five of the River so you
- 22:16Speaker 3: can watch it for yourself. It was. It was a moment.
- 22:19Speaker 3: But for right now, we're gonna do something that we
- 22:21Speaker 3: call choose your own adventure. Every so often we do
- 22:23Speaker 3: this and we have a lot of news stories and
- 22:25Speaker 3: we want to know what you guys want to hear about.
- 22:27Speaker 3: So you get to choose between two different things. Do
- 22:30Speaker 3: you want to hear a bunch of reasons why Bride's
- 22:33Speaker 3: called off their weddings? Or do you want to hear
- 22:35Speaker 3: about the biggest mistake a fan can make at a
- 22:37Speaker 3: sporting event?
- 22:39Speaker 5: Are Zach and I able to text in our votes?
- 22:42Speaker 3: You're allowed to text in too, Yeah, so everybody grab
- 22:44Speaker 3: your phone. Text in six four, eight nine five is
- 22:47Speaker 3: the phone number put river at the beginning of the message.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Do you want to hear story number one about bride's
- 22:51Speaker 3: calling off their weddings or story number two about the
- 22:53Speaker 3: biggest mistake a fan can make at a sporting event.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Right after Sabrina confrent or whichever story gets more votes,
- 22:59Speaker 2: well into it.
- 23:00Speaker 6: On the River, Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning
- 23:02Speaker 6: on one River to choose.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Your own adventure type of morning on one oh seven
- 23:07Speaker 3: five the River. We gave you two options. We wanted
- 23:10Speaker 3: to know you know what you're feeling today. Did you
- 23:12Speaker 3: want to hear about a bunch of reasons why bridees
- 23:14Speaker 3: called off their weddings or did you want to hear
- 23:17Speaker 3: about the biggest mistake a fan can make out a
- 23:19Speaker 3: sporting in that.
- 23:19Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie.
- 23:20Speaker 7: I was voting for the brides because I'm trying to
- 23:23Speaker 7: figure out how to come make like make you call off.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Your wedding this man anyway, monster.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I was pulling for the Sports one because I have
- 23:30Speaker 2: a feeling it has to do with that guy at
- 23:32Speaker 2: the US Open, and I'd love to talk about that.
- 23:34Speaker 3: You are correct, Kevin, and the Sports One is the
- 23:36Speaker 3: one that's the winner. So if you have not seen this,
- 23:39Speaker 3: there's a CEO who is getting a lot of backlash
- 23:42Speaker 3: right now. He flat out stole a hat from a
- 23:47Speaker 3: tennis player that was going to a child. There is
- 23:50Speaker 3: a video that has now gone viral. If you haven't
- 23:53Speaker 3: seen it, I'm gonna post it up on one O
- 23:54Speaker 3: seven five the River's Instagram page in the stories so
- 23:57Speaker 3: you can see it. It'll just blow your mind. When
- 24:00Speaker 3: you go to sporting events, you know that obviously there
- 24:04Speaker 3: are gonna be a lot of people around you. You need
- 24:05Speaker 3: to be cognizant of that. When a ball comes flying
- 24:08Speaker 3: in the air, you obviously go reach forward. If somebody
- 24:11Speaker 3: passes out like a shirt, you go reach for it.
- 24:13Speaker 3: But in almost every scenario, if there is a child
- 24:16Speaker 3: next to you, you give that to the child.
- 24:19Speaker 4: You grab it and give it to the kid.
- 24:21Speaker 3: This man did not. He flat out ripped it out
- 24:26Speaker 3: of the guy's hand and out of the little kid's
- 24:27Speaker 3: hand and kept it for himself.
- 24:29Speaker 7: He tucked it in his wife's purse, like this is
- 24:31Speaker 7: the io of what company? I don't know that I
- 24:34Speaker 7: need to know, because I'm gonna blacklist them.
- 24:37Speaker 3: I don't know what the coat. Let's see if I
- 24:39Speaker 3: can find it, but I mean I'm looking to it's
- 24:41Speaker 3: a Polish companies that you've probably never heard of it.
- 24:43Speaker 5: But I promise you the internet is already blacklisting them.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Enough. Oh yeah, and to the point where he now
- 24:49Speaker 3: has put out an apology for what he had done.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I also did see that the tennis player who was
- 24:55Speaker 3: handing out his hat to the kid did meet up
- 24:58Speaker 3: with the kid later on as well, to you know,
- 25:00Speaker 3: give him some more gear, take pictures things like that,
- 25:03Speaker 3: which is one hundred percent the proper way of handling this.
- 25:06Speaker 3: The other CEO wrong way all around. I just can't
- 25:10Speaker 3: believe that he would do that.
- 25:12Speaker 7: So I know that we're talking about like things at
- 25:14Speaker 7: sporting events, but can we like talk about the main
- 25:16Speaker 7: story here?
- 25:17Speaker 4: What is wrong with CEOs?
- 25:19Speaker 7: First the Coldplay concert and now this, like what is happening?
- 25:24Speaker 3: Well, CEOs are humans, just like everyone else, bad ones,
- 25:28Speaker 3: and sometimes they're bad ones, just like humans are sometimes
- 25:31Speaker 3: bad humans.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Maybe when you have that much power, it goes to
- 25:34Speaker 2: your head you think you can do whatever you want.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sure there's a little.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Bit of that playing into this as well, and that's
- 25:39Speaker 3: even more frustrating in this situation. Is it not like
- 25:42Speaker 3: this man could buy a signed hat by this tennis player.
- 25:46Speaker 3: He's a CEO. I'm sure he's worth a lot.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Of money by the entire stadium, So.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Like, well, we don't know how much money he's actually making,
- 25:54Speaker 3: but he could definitely buy a hat for sure. Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 3: and you want to steal it from a child next
- 25:58Speaker 3: to you? You want to take away that joy from
- 26:00Speaker 3: a child? Insane?
- 26:01Speaker 2: I will say, not defending this guy, Oh, go ahead, Kevin.
- 26:05Speaker 2: At first, after this all blew up, there was a
- 26:08Speaker 2: note going around the internet that this guy put out
- 26:10Speaker 2: and it was like not an apology at all seem
- 26:12Speaker 2: like you've.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Got to be fast if you want to be me.
- 26:14Speaker 2: That was fake, right, And he has since issued a
- 26:17Speaker 2: real apology.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I just want to make sure that that's known.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I'm happy that you said that, because it's kind of
- 26:22Speaker 3: believable based off of his actions that he would have said, oh.
- 26:25Speaker 4: You got to be quicker than that.
- 26:26Speaker 7: But also what did he say in his apology, like
- 26:29Speaker 7: I'm sorry, I'm an awful person and I deprived this
- 26:32Speaker 7: child of joy.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Kind of yeah, good.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Time for the Daily double Tap.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And it's just a cute little observation about every single
- 26:43Speaker 2: person walking around.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Oh okay, but every single person we shall see if.
- 26:48Speaker 2: They're clothes, if they're not nude, Yes, every single person
- 26:52Speaker 2: walk here.
- 26:52Speaker 3: We're gonna go ahead and hope that everybody is clothed.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Let's hear the daily double tap. You know what's cute.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Everybody that you see today picked out their clothes. They
- 27:03Speaker 3: saw that shirt or the sweater and they said I'll
- 27:06Speaker 3: do that, and the pants, oh these will go, or
- 27:09Speaker 3: they're like, do these go?
- 27:11Speaker 4: And they still wore it.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Not everybody, obviously, people have uniforms.
- 27:14Speaker 5: But that is the sweetest thing in the world. I
- 27:17Speaker 5: picked up the sweater today thinking my sweater for today.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I guess what I'm saying is, if you walk around
- 27:24Speaker 3: today and see people in clothes.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Which I assume that is normal for.
- 27:29Speaker 2: You, just know that they chose that outfit and picked
- 27:34Speaker 2: specifically for today.
- 27:36Speaker 3: And I hope that you tell them that you like
- 27:38Speaker 3: their shirt or something because they were like.
- 27:41Speaker 4: This is the one.
- 27:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Was that lady high when she made that video? Maybe?
- 27:45Speaker 4: But it is a great.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Observation, adorable And Zach, I really like your shirt today,
- 27:49Speaker 3: Thank you so much. It's very fall Yes, just the
- 27:52Speaker 3: color is cute.
- 27:53Speaker 7: Like that mindset to be in is actually just really
- 27:55Speaker 7: sweet to appreciate, Like, oh, you really chose.
- 27:58Speaker 4: That today for you, that's how you felt. I love
- 28:00Speaker 4: that you felt that way.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I really just look for whatever's clean in my closet
- 28:03Speaker 3: and throw it on.
- 28:04Speaker 1: But you know, one Ricky, Zach and Manno in the morning,
