- 1:18the most from that year. I also did an episode top five most disappointing
- 1:26albums. You should also check that out because maybe you feel differently, maybe
- 1:30didn't know these albums dropped. Maybe you just want to hear my perspective.
- 1:34I don't know, check them all out. Big shout out to the Patreon

- 1:42to know what that's all about, click the link in the description of this
- 1:48episode. Now, before we start the preview, excuse me, let's just
- 1:56recap just a little bit twenty three and what kind of year it was for
- 2:01hip hop. I said this on my year and showed that twenty twenty three
- 2:07for me wasn't disappointing. It just didn't really meet my expectations given the fact
- 2:15that it was fifty years of hip hop. It was kind of strange because
- 2:20on one end, LL COOLJ and Nas were doing everything right. It felt
- 2:25like they were the ambassadors of everything that was happening. And then there were
- 2:30people who were kind of missing from the celebration, right, And I'm not
- 2:36just talking about jay Z. I mean like there were people who we thought
- 2:39we saw everybody on these days, but we didn't like empty hammer and stuff
- 2:43like that. Like, to me, all of that is hip hop,
- 2:46all of it should have been there. I get why people like Hammer didn't
- 2:51want to pop up on things, but I think he deserved his flowers.
- 2:57And sure back then they didn't give him as his props and his love,
- 3:00but I mean it's kind of how life works, right, Like some things
- 3:05you gotta get OFO. With Man, we wanted to give Hamma his flowers.
- 3:08We wanted to see him on stage dancing. Okay, we wanted that.
- 3:13Some didn't, but nevertheless, you cannot deny his impact now, Like
- 3:20this is a different story, but Hammer is very different, mainly because he
- 3:25was a polarizing figure in hip hop back then with the music he made and
- 3:30stuff like that, and people hating on him and blah blah blah. I'm
- 3:34not going to get into it. But again, there was just a lot
- 3:37in twenty twenty three that felt like it should have been better. We should
- 3:46have like I felt like in twenty twenty three we should have got everything right.
- 3:51We got a release of NAS's original I Am the Biography, but only
- 3:57on vinyl. I don't think it's on Street's services. I did a video
- 4:00on that. Check it OUTU. It's pretty popular. So cool stuff like
- 4:06that, right, Like, why didn't we just get all the mythological albums,
- 4:12right, that album Detox. You know I feel about Detax. I'm
- 4:15not gonna say this year. You know, just stuff like that where it
- 4:18was like this studio album that was made by this person this person, but
- 4:24never came out because of this, we're putting it out now. Put some
- 4:28of them shelved albums out, because some of those shelved albums are crazy when
- 4:33they come out, right, large Professor's original album, the LP. Just
- 4:39thinking about if that had came out at that time, it's crazy. You
- 4:43know Rod Digger's album that came out a few years back, I was nine
- 4:47nine two to me, which I think it was the best Foxy album that
- 4:54came out way too late. So stuff like that we should have just I
- 4:58mean those things already. But I'm just talking about albums like that that have
- 5:01been sitting on the shelves that artists know, and they know those albums are
- 5:06locked away in you know, record industry bullish that they would just say,
- 5:14like, yo, let's put this out. You know, I don't know,
- 5:20you tell me. But now we are in the year twenty twenty four,
- 5:27and I must say that I am very optimistic considering what we didn't get
- 5:34in twenty twenty three, I'm thinking twenty twenty four, like, Okay,
- 5:40we have fifty years of hip hop, now what's the next fifty I feel
- 5:43like we want to get some joints, so let's get right into the business.
- 5:50Now. I had to organize this because in years past, I just
- 5:56kind of freestyled and riffed and just set everything I want. And you know,
- 6:00as it came to my mind, and I've realized, even though these
- 6:03shows do well, it was a little bit unorganized on my part. So
- 6:09now it is organized into three categories. So I'm gonna keep it light.
- 6:14Albums on the Way that I am anticipating, albums I'm curious about, and
- 6:21hip hop wishes. That's the fun part. Say that for the end.
- 6:26So let's start with albums on the Way. I got five that I want
- 6:30to that I'm highly anticipating, Like I can't wait for these particular albums to
- 6:34come out. We know they exist, we know they're supposed to come out.
- 6:40There were rumored to even come out last year and they didn't. So
- 6:44here we are, twenty twenty four at the top. Snoop Dogg's album produced
- 6:47by Doctor Dre. Now why right, some people may say, hey,
- 6:53look man, I'm getting tired of Snoop. I'm seeing him everywhere, like
- 6:56it's he's just losing what I remembered about him. Slow down Snoop's catalog,
- 7:03which I did a tear list for. It's interesting because most people checked it
- 7:11once they heard dog Father, they just checked out, like that was it
- 7:13for Snoop albums, especially once he went to No Limit, that was it.
- 7:16But if you listen to Snoop's catalog and go through it, he got
- 7:21some very dope albums, Like obviously Doggie Style is at the top to me,
- 7:28Blue Carpet Treatment is right under that, that's number two. But then
- 7:32he's had a number of albums that were pretty good or dope over the years.
- 7:38Right, But one thing in particular was always true, and it happened
- 7:43in I say two instances. Right when Snoop left Death Row, it went
- 7:50to No Limit and that first album was not good. But the second album,
- 7:58and I think the third album, the Last Meal, featured Doctor dre
- 8:03production. Right fast forward to the Blue Carpet Treatment, the album I talked
- 8:07about. You know, before that Snoop had worked with Premier and Parral and
- 8:13had hits, worked with Everybody, Blue Carpet Treatment. He does a song
- 8:20with Doctor Dre. Imagine when I tell you every time Snoop and Doctor Dre
- 8:26get together, it is magic. The nostalgia, the feeling of early death
- 8:33ro comes right back. It just does. Snoop sounds best over Dre production.
- 8:39Now he sounds good over other production, but it's something about Dre's sound
- 8:46and Snoop's performance and probably you know, just the energy of Dre's Snoop being
- 8:52back together that is always dope. It always results in a great album for
- 9:01Snoop. It's like once he works with Doctor Dre boone, you bump it
- 9:03up, Oh new album top three, Like it's like that. So as
- 9:11I understand it to be, I think this album is entirely produced by Dre.
- 9:16I cannot wait. When they did the Super Bowl halftime show, he
- 9:22kind of hinted at it had the death row you know, buying death row
- 9:26thing, but he kind of hinted at it. And then last year in
- 9:30twenty twenty three, it felt like it was about to drop, but there
- 9:33wasn't really a single, and then nothing happened. So I'm hoping twenty twenty
- 9:39four we get this album next up J Cole, The fallof J Cole wrote
- 9:46up like a on a piece of paper the different projects that were going to
- 9:50drop from him right, And even though The Fallof is like the final of
- 9:58those projects, I believe it will drop this year. Maybe later in the
- 10:03year because I think there's one project before that, but I think it will
- 10:07drop this year. And why I anticipated so much is because his last album
- 10:11was pretty dope, but I can't front. I stopped listening after a while,
- 10:16mainly because I felt like with that album, I forget the name,
- 10:20the one with the basketball hoop on fire, the jump shot, something like
- 10:24that, but I felt like that album he was trying to prove a point
- 10:31lyrically that yo, I'm nice, right, So everything was really about bars,
- 10:35and which is not a bad thing. But I think where J Cole
- 10:39is strongest is when he combinds it to right. It gives you some bars,
- 10:46gives you some storytelling, some perspective, like some songs, and I
- 10:50think that's what was missing from that last album. It was kind of like
- 10:54off the rip, Yo, this is this is dope, but it just
- 10:58didn't leave me listening to it for much longer. After that, you know,
- 11:03especially now, it's not one I would go back to. Twenty twenty
- 11:07four will see the ten year anniversary of arguably his best album in his catalog,
- 11:16maybe not even arguably Forest Hill twenty fourteen, Forest Hill Drive, The
- 11:24fall Off gotta be dropping. One of the reasons why, you know,
- 11:28I also felt like I'm anticipating this album more than others is the fact that
- 11:37his features, his features have been kind of crazy lately, right, And
- 11:43I'm not just talking to twenty twenty three and the stuff he did with Drake.
- 11:46I'm going even beyond that, like the joint John Pace Caddy would Benny
- 11:52the Butcher, like that's the verse on it. Like I'm a big Benny
- 11:58the Butcher fan who also has an album I'm dropping in January. If you're
- 12:01from the future, get your ass out of here. Januaryy past, okay
- 12:05for you, not for me, but like he made me look at Benny
- 12:13the Butcher like, oh, you're on this level of rapping and I like
- 12:18it. J Cole's head, it's a presence, right, It's a presence
- 12:26he has on these tracks that not only feels like confidence in the words he's
- 12:35saying, but in his bars and his delivery and everything. So I mean,
- 12:39I really, I really can't say much more beyond the fact that I
- 12:45am really anticipating this album and I'm curious to see what, you know,
- 12:52what's going to be there. You know, I don't need another Drake collabo.
- 12:56That's we're good joint on Drake's album and then the Scary Hours. That
- 13:01was enough. Okay, we don't need another one unless unless you make a
- 13:07song called the Big Three featuring Drake, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Now
- 13:16you're talking, Okay, that one's free of charge, mister Cole. Mob
- 13:22Deep album Now, look, this could be a wishful thinking thing of when
- 13:31it drops, but we know it's in the works. Prodigy said, Yo,
- 13:37I'm not Prodigy recipes. Prodigy Havoc said, I'm working on a Mob
- 13:41Deep album right with p on it. Now, we don't know what this
- 13:48is. This could be him taking songs that they have that they were working
- 13:54on that were never released and making an album. This could be unfinished song
- 14:00where they throw a bunch of features on an album to kind of make up
- 14:05for the lack of vocals from Prodigy. The latter. I'm not that much
- 14:09of a fan of because it's the thing that's always done and it's hit a
- 14:13mess and it always kind of signals that the party's over. You know that
- 14:20this guy has passed on and we don't have anything else from him, unlike
- 14:24Tupac. But I think the blueprint for Havoc if he could do it.
- 14:30I don't know what he has for a new Mob Deep album is the last
- 14:33Gangstar album that is probably next to a Tripcore Quest right, which was different
- 14:43Tripcore Quest album. Fife was there for the majority of it. That's why
- 14:48they had so much, so he wasn't really absent. He didn't die and
- 14:52all of a sudden, you know, we only got three verses like nah,
- 14:56he didn't mad music with the group before, whereas Guru Premier just cheft
- 15:03the project right. He made it feel like a Gangstar album. Ja Cole's
- 15:09on it. Also, it didn't feel like, oh I only got a
- 15:15hook from Google, oh I only got half a verse from Google. It
- 15:20felt like him and Guru made a project and it sound like a Gangstar album.
- 15:26That's what we need from a Mob Deep album. We need the beats
- 15:30to evoke evoked, that sentenced to sound that Havoc is known for that feels
- 15:37like Mob Deep. We need as many verses from Prodigy as we can get.
- 15:43We need uh features from those that are part of the Mob Deep infamous
- 15:52universe, right right, like maybe a nas in there, you know,
- 15:56maybe Alchemists get on the bars and on the beat and stuff like that.
- 16:00Don't put it. I love j Cold, don't put him on a Mob
- 16:04Deep album. No, I know he's good for it, but do something
- 16:12different. Put somebody on there that does. Put stove God on it,
- 16:18right, somebody like that. Put Bennie on it. Somebody right, but
- 16:23not too many of them. Don't put all of them on it because we
- 16:26don't want to hear that. Those albums typically always again always feel like the
- 16:32party's over all right, I'm going way too long on this. Two more
- 16:38ll Cool Jay's album produced by q Tip. I think it was called The
- 16:44Force or that was the name of the single. I don't like Don't Cold
- 16:47album that. Please don't quote album that because I know you guys are older.
- 16:52That sounds old because it means nothing. You're not Jedi. Okay,
- 16:57But in twenty twenty three read we thought that we thought we were going to
- 17:02get that album. El COOJ was everywhere. He was the ambassador. He
- 17:06even performed Tom Square on New Year's Eve right before the ball drop, Right
- 17:14crazy l COOJ could do a halftime Super Bowl show. Yea, I need
- 17:19to make that happen. That would be crazy what guest appearances. Obviously,
- 17:26but we thought that the albums coming out because we finally got a single,
- 17:32and when we heard it, at least for the most part, we were
- 17:34all like, Okay, okay, if this is what it's going to sound
- 17:40like, I'm with it. I could hear this, you know, dropped
- 17:45the album, And they didn't drop the album, And I think momentum was
- 17:48lost because the way they released a single, it kind of isolated the fan
- 17:56base to only those who who have serious XM subscriptions. No, no,
- 18:03no, I get it. Maybe there's a bag behind that. Maybe it
- 18:10drives audience to your current business, right, you just don't want to put
- 18:15it out in a while. But I think it was a mistake because there
- 18:18was some energy building, right, all these hip hop fifty performances in l
- 18:22and all the spotlight on him from younger and older. And you drop a
- 18:26new record and you put it on a satellite service that not everyone has Contrary
- 18:32to popular belief, a lot of people use streaming services more than anything.
- 18:37Some people still use the regular radio more than they use serious XM, so
- 18:44having it be exclusive to Rock the Bells, I get it. But at
- 18:48the same time, there's just people who are not going to go get a
- 18:52subscription because of a song they're curious about. Now, thanks to YouTube,
- 18:57we all heard it and it was dope. So I'm thinking if they were
- 19:03that close before, then they may have another follow up song that they could
- 19:10drop in twenty twenty four for everybody that get the momentum going. And finally
- 19:17released his album because I'm curious to hear you know what's there because the first
- 19:22snippet of it was great, so they have it. And lastly, a
- 19:29new album from Tyler the Created. He has this schedule of releasing albums every
- 19:37two years in a row, which may happen because his last album was released
- 19:41in twenty twenty one, so twenty twenty four would be timed. And the
- 19:47main reason why I'm anticipating Tyler the Creator is because he has been on a
- 19:55streak of dope albums. I think he's done maybe three or four in a
- 20:00row that had that's made me a bigger fan, like I was. I
- 20:04was kind of a fan back in our future days, but not really you
- 20:08know, I had songs like here and they. I wasn't really damn for
- 20:11all the shock rapping, you know, like I was kind of done with
- 20:15that, like eminem Men did that, and it was just like too much,
- 20:18Like all right, we're good, We're good, that that era is
- 20:21over. But then he started releasing albums like the Egor album and the other
- 20:27album that I can't remember off the top of my head with the bes on
- 20:30it on the album cover something like that, and then the joint with DJ
- 20:37Drummer, and I was like, I want to hear what's next because everything
- 20:42has been really dope and he's been in a really dope creative space. It's
- 20:48let me just soa boxed real quick. It is always good as a fan
- 20:52or excellent experience when an artist is inspired, When an artist this is inspired,
- 21:02allied nas well you get that hit boy run, like when you're truly
- 21:07inspired, right, like the words are coming to you differently. You've been
- 21:11you know, you maybe you spent years rapping this way and rapping about this
- 21:15and you felt like that was the only thing you could rap about and then
- 21:18all of a sudden, like this new world opens up and you're able to
- 21:21talk about all these things and still have them be dope and grow as an
- 21:26artist. And I feel like he's grown as an artist. And I prefer
- 21:32this version of Tyler the Creator more than I do the younger version of him.
- 21:37So we'll see. All right, Let's get into the other categories,
- 21:42which are only like three albums a piece. The other category albums I'm curious
- 21:51about Common and Pete Rock project. Now. Common announced this a while back
- 22:00in twenty twenty three. I'm saying a while back, like it wasn't yesterday
- 22:06that he would be working on a joint project with Pete Rock. Then he
- 22:10went on to release like a freestyle or whatever with Premier. I'm curious because
- 22:18Pete Rock can still make dope beats like Retropolitan with sky Zoo is exhibit a.
- 22:26Go listen to that. Pete Rock can still make beats that are crazy.
- 22:33Common in recent years has been more on the introspective side with his albums,
- 22:40and unfortunately, I think, and not that this is a bad thing,
- 22:45but I didn't like the song Glory, not what it was about.
- 22:51I just didn't like it as a song, mainly because of Common. I
- 22:56felt like it was the most basic version of Common, and you could get
- 23:00it was a dollar general version of comment to Common fans, and I felt
- 23:06like him winning an Emmy and an Oscar and all of that based off of
- 23:10that song told him, oh, well, people like this, So then
- 23:17all of his songs became basic in the same way. And even though he
- 23:22dropped the albums and I know other people didn't like it, but I thought
- 23:26it was cool. The album that came out that was like a companion piece
- 23:32to his biography, his book or whatever. I thought it was cool.
- 23:37But I get it for a Common fan, it's like, yo, man,
- 23:40we're Common with shot Town, Like we're the corner right where that at.
- 23:47It ain't on that album, and it kind of wasn't on the DJ
- 23:52premire freestyle. He still kind of sound really based, like the hunger's not
- 24:02there. So I'm thinking the hunger for Pete Rock is definitely there. And
- 24:07he's producing Common, so I need him to produce him, right, I
- 24:11need him. When he hear them basic bars coming out, he got to
- 24:15say, yo, dog, you're Common, I'm pe Rock. There's an
- 24:22expectation. Right, there's a bar that sky Zoo said honestly that you gotta
- 24:27meet. So I'm curious, curiously optimistic in some ways. But who knows
- 24:36mad Lib. Mad Lib is sitting on the EP he produced with Mac Miller,
- 24:44which I'm not the biggest Mac Miller fan. I don't dislike him,
- 24:48but I don't go crazy for him like a lot of people do. But
- 24:52I'm curious knowing those two getting together. I could hear mac Miller sound and
- 24:57wordplay over like full on mad Lib production, so I'm curious about that one.
- 25:04I'm also curious about mad Lib and Dooms mad Villainy too, that supposedly
- 25:12he's still working on. I think we get the Mac Miller before we get
- 25:18the MF Doom joint, but I hope we get both so they have it.
- 25:22And lastly, for albums, I'm curious about hit Boy and Alchemists collaborat
- 25:33EP album whatever it gotta happen in twenty twenty four, you know why they
- 25:37did a song on hit Boy's album. The song was called I Think Slipping
- 25:42into Darkness right where hit Boy rapped over Alchemist's beat and Alchemist wrapped over Hip
- 25:49Boy's beat on the same track, put out a video and it was so
- 25:56dope. It was so dope. It was like what hip hop fans want.
- 26:03Now, there's some people, you know, I get it, some
- 26:04of y'all just mad to be mad and just like yo, it was a
- 26:07I but what I need is a bacon button. What they didn't do it
- 26:12okay, boy hit Alchemists sound good together and especially over these types of beats.
- 26:22I think if they put out an EP that has this feel and it's
- 26:29them two rapping over beats and you know, bring in your mainstage. You
- 26:33know what I'm saying, like, bring Nads in for a verse. If
- 26:36they do an album bringing who Alchemists? Oh nah, don't bring in both
- 26:41the James. Come on, don't do it. I mean you can bring
- 26:42them in, bringing Larry June. Larry June, I could kind of stomach
- 26:45more than both the Jeans the disinterested rappers. Don't get me started, uh,
- 26:52But I just thought it was so dope, and I remember when it
- 26:57came out, I tweeted something like, we need an album of this.
- 27:03Now. I know hip boy likes everybody's comments and retweets, and I kind
- 27:08of love that about him because I think it's what keeps people engaged with what
- 27:15he's working on and his music, right, I think it just does And
- 27:21he liked the comment. Then later on I saw an interview where he said
- 27:26they have projects, so we gonna get something. So I'm very curious about
- 27:33that. And lastly, three hip Hop Wishes. I know I put up
- 27:41forward like bro Man, but I was kind of trying to get the other
- 27:44finger down three. If you're watching on video three hip Hop Wishes for myself,
- 27:49let's start off new jay Z out right, Come on, Jay,
- 27:53I know how you get down. You and Beyonce very sneaky, right,
- 27:57You're very stealthy with your drops and how and you and I get it.
- 28:04You're prepared, right, You're fully prepared. You do everything, You cover
- 28:10everything, tall everything. So when you start to leak, it's a slow
- 28:14leak to the flood. Right, you think that leak is a leak,
- 28:18No, it's a flood behind that door. I think jay Z is going
- 28:25to do something. I just don't know what it's going to be. I
- 28:30know he's going to do something, I just don't know what it's going to
- 28:33be. And a lot of it has to do with four four four dropping
- 28:37a while ago dudes like nods putting out like six projects and just all the
- 28:45tension and love and Grammy nods and all of that. And we know jay
- 28:52Z loves hip hop and he can't just stand by fifty years of hip hop.
- 28:56He's watching it. He's not even performing. He's not performing with anybody.
- 29:00He just did the museum in Brooklyn. And if you ain't from Brooklyn
- 29:03or you not visiting Brooklyn, you didn't get to see it, right,
- 29:07not the museum, the exhibit at the library in Brooklyn. But that was
- 29:14kind of all he did for the most part. And he did an interview
- 29:19with Gail and if you're like Gail, who we don't even say her last
- 29:25name, recipes Kobe where jay Z said, if I do an album,
- 29:33I can't just do an album. It has to be something important. It
- 29:37has to have some kind of meaning behind it. Now I think he already
- 29:41knows what that is, but I think he wants it to be right long
- 29:48gone other days where jay Z would drop an album every year and it was
- 29:52fire. That was the time. Every year he would drop a new album
- 29:56and it was hot and you were just like, this is crazy. Right
- 30:00now, he wants to have more purpose. Now. What I was thinking
- 30:06is, if you look at four four four or four p forty four,
- 30:11whatever it's called, that was jay Z's most personal album to date. He's
- 30:18spoke about his real life or written about his real life in numerous songs and
- 30:26verses over the years, but this was a whole album dedicated to that.
- 30:32And I liked it for that because I was like, Oh, this is
- 30:33the first time he's actually being really vulnerable and just letting it all out about
- 30:38his family, about his wife, his marriage, his kids, himself,
- 30:44insecurities. Like it was dope. But there's one thing that you know,
- 30:48jay Z always wanted to do, but he hasn't done it yet, and
- 30:52the climate is ripe for it, and that's a conscious album. Now.
- 31:00I'm not talking about pyramid hats and cheo sticks, jay Z, No,
- 31:06I'm just talking about an album where he's going to have a number of political
- 31:11points of views about the record industry, about business in general, about black
- 31:18people, because he's already been doing it a little bit on four point forty
- 31:22four he did some of that right, So I think Jay's more interested in
- 31:29that than anything than to give you, like a mogul talk album. Because
- 31:33he's been doing that for years. So we'll see a WO album. I
- 31:44think Wu Tang dropped the ball like they did had the final season of Wu
- 31:52Tang and American Saga on Hulu. I did all kinds of videos with guests
- 31:56shout out to them, and it felt like at the end we needed a
- 32:04new WU album that just felt like the Woo we know. Now. I
- 32:07say it felt like the Woo we Know is because unfortunately the official Woo projects
- 32:14that have dropped that were produced by Riza just haven't been great now. The
- 32:20ones that have been worked on by Mathematics are good then, but it's not
- 32:28what fans want. Mathematics is really good at giving the Woo that old wool
- 32:32sound and it sounds great, but I need Riza behind the boards. I
- 32:37need Riza to say, how can it, like, Rizza, stop looking
- 32:43at your old sound as passing. How can I create that same energy today?
- 32:52And it's not gonna come from some weird stuff. Okay, it's not
- 32:58flutes and all of that, like shout out to three Stacks, but no,
- 33:02and that's it sounds crazy, don't get me wrong, But I want
- 33:07a Woo album or if we can't get a Wu Tang Clan album this year.
- 33:14The long rumored in development Supreme Clientele two, which when Ghosts and Ray
- 33:23appeared on Drink Tent Drink Champs, I guess a year or two ago now,
- 33:30ghost Face said that he was turning over the Oh he wanted to at
- 33:36least have Kanye executive produce it. Now I don't know about that. Don't
- 33:45get me wrong. I hear beats from Kanye that I'm still like, he
- 33:47kind of still got it. He's weird. But then I think about what
- 33:53I know about Supreme Clientele, and again, Riza Rizzard was a big part
- 34:01of that as well. You know, he didn't do all the beats,
- 34:04but he was. He I think he was executive producer. He oversaw it
- 34:08something like that, but he was involved. Right. I need that.
- 34:14I need Riza to stop playing man and the other one if we can't get
- 34:19those two is what Ray Kwon mentioned during the lockdown that there's a only built
- 34:25for Cuban links three on the way. Now. I know you can say,
- 34:32oh, going back to the well too much. You know, you
- 34:37know you're gonna mess it up. I don't know. First one is a
- 34:39classic. Second one is a great album, so why not complete the trilogy
- 34:45right? Two for two when it comes to those albums. Plus also,
- 34:50I think this year I'm gonna do a Ray Kwon tail list. I did
- 34:53a ghost face. Most people know those albums, but most people don't know
- 35:00the Ray Kwon albums, and they assume that only the Cuban Lynx joints are
- 35:05the ones that are good, which is not true. So there you have
- 35:08it with that and the last one, my last wish, another thing I
- 35:16tweeted about and the artists pressed the like button on it. Stove God Cooks.
- 35:25Now, I think I know what the problem is, because it makes
- 35:30absolutely no sense why we don't have a follow up to his debut, which
- 35:36I believe dropped in twenty twenty that everybody went crazy for and I'm probably gonna
- 35:43listen to today just because I have it in a while. Stove God Cooks
- 35:47is to me, taking what Griselda does and everybody liked that Rock Marcy,
- 35:55all these all these guys that kind of all rap in the same lane in
- 36:00the same vocal tone, which I all love. But he's different. Stove
- 36:05God is different. He brings a different flare and flavor to it, and
- 36:12he's now with Grizila Records, but he is. He does hooks, and
- 36:16he gives us a verse here and there, and that's it. Now.
- 36:20The thing that I suspect is there's some legal issues and I'm not talking about
- 36:27crimes. I think there might have been some legal issues holding up him releasing
- 36:34a new project on Griselda Records, because they just don't talk about it that
- 36:38much. And I know he was with Rock Marciano. If you don't know,
- 36:42he was with Rock Marciano, they did that first debut that went crazy,
- 36:49and then they had some kind of situation and Stove God went to grisel
- 36:54the Records and then elitd follow up to his debut album leaked, which some
- 37:04people suspected Rock Marcy leaked it. And then it was just features and hooks
- 37:10for stove God. In twenty twenty four, we need a proper follow up.
- 37:16And it got to be crazy because now we've waited way too long,
- 37:21right, you're talking about four years. Two years was cool, but you're
- 37:24talking about four years. Nah, it's time or we're going to be back
- 37:30in the Jay Electronica lane where we're like, I guess it was just that
- 37:36one thing and that's it so and then that's that's another one that's rumored,
- 37:43Jay, Electronica, Griselda. You know, we'll see. That's gonna do
- 37:49it for me. What is your most anticipated project that you know is coming
- 37:53out with in twenty twenty four? And he wishes anything you hope comes out.
