• 2:18
Speaker 2: just had a massive technical thing that I don't understand.
• 2:22
Speaker 2: But I will tell you this, in modern radio, if
• 2:24
Speaker 2: you don't have Internet and you you pretty much don't
• 2:27
Speaker 2: have anything including phone service, texting services, and a bunch
• 2:30
Speaker 2: of other stuff. But we're back. We're back, so we
• 2:33
Speaker 2: could take phone calls and text Bigley Pickli Wiggly hotline

• 2:45
Speaker 2: out of the fourth Eric Tarr, Good morning, sir, and
• 2:47
Speaker 2: welcome to the show.
• 2:48
Speaker 4: Good morning, Dave. It's always good to be on. Thanks
• 2:50
  Speaker 4: for having me.
• 2:50
Speaker 2: I want to talk about the session so far. Now
• 2:53
Speaker 2: I know whether has been an issue, had some things delayed,
• 2:57
Speaker 2: and so on and so forth. Talking about the session
• 3:00
Speaker 2: up to this point.
• 3:02
Speaker 5: You know it's been a slower pace than we're used to.
• 3:05
Speaker 5: If you look at just today I was going through
• 3:07
Speaker 5: and kind of looking at the bills that have came
• 3:10
Speaker 5: out of Senate have come out of the House so far,
• 3:12
Speaker 5: we passed four bills through gott to pass through third
• 3:16
Speaker 5: reading to send over to the House from the Senate.
• 3:19
Speaker 5: So we're twenty five percent through the session and we
• 3:20
Speaker 5: have four bills passed.
• 3:21
Speaker 2: Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
• 3:23
  Speaker 6: You know?
• 3:24
Speaker 4: To me, it's a bad thing.
• 3:25
  Speaker 5: It's it's slower than I like, you know, it's you
• 3:29
Speaker 5: know me, well, I like, you know, like things to move.
• 3:32
Speaker 4: And so usually what we.
• 3:33
Speaker 5: Would do over the past past decade really to get
• 3:37
Speaker 5: things moving for West Virginia, you only got sixty days,
• 3:40
Speaker 5: so you've got to start like Fred Flinstone in his
• 3:42
Speaker 5: car with if you're spending right? Yeah, you know so,
• 3:45
Speaker 5: and when you get going like that, we would normally
• 3:47
Speaker 5: have over the past few sessions bills that were really
• 3:50
Speaker 5: targeted toward economic development activity. And we dropped fifteen twenty
• 3:53
Speaker 5: twenty five bills day one that we knew we had
• 3:55
Speaker 5: the votes for in committee on the floor and can
• 3:58
Speaker 5: move it and get it over and if not day one,
• 4:00
Speaker 5: certainly week one the House gets those gets those bills
• 4:02
Speaker 5: and so, uh, that's usually day one to three, and
• 4:07
Speaker 5: so right now we're on day what day is it's
• 4:10
  Speaker 5: worth what?
• 4:11
Speaker 4: Ten twenty days? What day it is? The work fifteen fifteen?
• 4:15
Speaker 2: Time stood still there?
• 4:17
Speaker 5: Yeah, no kid, you know, my my family, we're trying
• 4:20
Speaker 5: to figure out what day of the week it was
• 4:21
Speaker 5: the other day after So you know it's so that's
• 4:23
Speaker 5: kind of where I'm at right now, where I'm saying it.
• 4:24
Speaker 5: So we're day fifteen, day fifteen of the session, and
• 4:27
Speaker 5: we now have four bills.
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: What come out?
• 4:29
  Speaker 7: Where?
• 4:29
Speaker 2: Okay, you said you've said that in your opinion, that
• 4:31
Speaker 2: is a bad thing. Where does the problem lie here
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: in your opinion?
• 4:36
Speaker 5: Well, the problem lies in the result, you know. So
• 4:40
Speaker 5: we need to be results oriented, and that result is
• 4:44
Speaker 5: keeping West Virginia ahead of the economy and being competitive
• 4:50
Speaker 5: with our border states and being competitive globally to attract
• 4:53
Speaker 5: industry into West Virginia. And we've done that. We've been
• 4:56
Speaker 5: very successful. And so I want to think one of
• 4:57
Speaker 5: the things I want to talk about is that you
• 4:58
Speaker 5: know that over those past ten years, the policies we've
• 5:01
Speaker 5: been put it in place to attract that level of
• 5:03
  Speaker 5: investment is working.
• 5:05
  Speaker 4: It's and I had this.
• 5:06
Speaker 5: You know, we were at the Press Corps and I
• 5:08
Speaker 5: was talking about this because you had there were several
• 5:11
Speaker 5: people that was talking to our panel, and that we're mentioning,
• 5:14
Speaker 5: you know, it's been ten years, where's it at?
• 5:16
  Speaker 4: Where's that's that?
• 5:16
Speaker 5: And so well, you got to consider we're talking in
• 5:19
Speaker 5: the levels of billions billions in tax well a billion
• 5:23
Speaker 5: in tax cuts, talking billions of investment that we've landed
• 5:28
Speaker 5: that are still being built. So it takes a while
• 5:30
Speaker 5: to get that stuff out of the ground. And there's
• 5:33
Speaker 5: tens of billions that are following that that we're aware of.
• 5:38
Speaker 5: So it's and all that takes a little time to develop.
• 5:40
Speaker 5: So right now on one of the things I think
• 5:42
Speaker 5: that you see slowing down a little bit is a
• 5:44
Speaker 5: lot of the macro stuff that we need to do
• 5:47
Speaker 5: to get West Virginia rolling. We're done, we really have.
• 5:50
Speaker 5: There's a now we have to figure out how do
• 5:52
Speaker 5: we keep up with that level of investment coming to
• 5:56
Speaker 5: West Virginia so that we can attract more. And that
• 5:58
Speaker 5: comes down to infrastructure that comes to our road, sewer, water, broadband,
• 6:03
Speaker 5: it comes to housing. There's a lot of things there
• 6:06
Speaker 5: that really need to be done, and we need it
• 6:07
Speaker 5: done yesterday, We need it.
• 6:09
  Speaker 4: Done last year.
• 6:11
Speaker 5: So so only getting four bills out when you have
• 6:14
Speaker 5: that kind of tsunami coming at you, that's.
• 6:19
Speaker 4: A little disappointing. So House has done pretty well.
• 6:21
Speaker 5: They've got thirteen bills and relative to what we've done
• 6:24
Speaker 5: in the Senate, that's got through so far, and they
• 6:27
Speaker 5: put out a pretty good economic package. If you go
• 6:29
Speaker 5: through and look at some of the things that they've done,
• 6:32
Speaker 5: that polishing the edges kind of thing we talk about.
• 6:34
Speaker 5: Around the macro side of things, they've done really well.
• 6:36
Speaker 5: They've done some site development things that got some stuff
• 6:38
Speaker 5: down for grants, for getting site readiness done for our
• 6:42
  Speaker 5: economic development offices.
• 6:46
  Speaker 4: There's not a lot there.
• 6:47
Speaker 5: For housing yet. They'd love to see some more come
• 6:49
Speaker 5: out for this session for housing. Actually reviewing the House
• 6:52
Speaker 5: of stuff this first week, I got some thoughts on that,
• 6:54
Speaker 5: so I think, and.
• 6:56
Speaker 2: I've talked to Taryll Ellis, the people from Advantage Valley
• 6:58
Speaker 2: on the show, and I've talked to several other people
• 7:00
Speaker 2: about And when you say housing, I'm presuming again we're
• 7:03
Speaker 2: talking with Center at aeric Tar. I'm presuming that you
• 7:05
Speaker 2: are alluding to the fact that we have a housing
• 7:07
Speaker 2: crisis and as we don't have enough.
• 7:09
Speaker 4: Oh absolutely yeah, we simply do.
• 7:12
Speaker 2: Not have enough houses. And it's not just a Huntington
• 7:15
Speaker 2: Charleston thing. I mean, Eric gets it's all over, it's
• 7:19
Speaker 2: all over West Virginia. We still we don't have enough house.
• 7:21
Speaker 4: There's absolutely not enough houses.
• 7:23
Speaker 5: There's you know, there's a subdivision being built lover eight
• 7:26
Speaker 5: hundred houses playing down down in Putnam County right now,
• 7:30
Speaker 5: So that still has to get an entrance. Highways Department
• 7:33
Speaker 5: still has to get an entrance into that area to
• 7:34
Speaker 5: get the housing developed. So we need to make sure
• 7:38
Speaker 5: that our infrastructure development's not holding up that housing development
• 7:41
Speaker 5: because of developer's ready to roll. So there's there's things
• 7:44
Speaker 5: like that in Mason County. And even given time you've
• 7:48
Speaker 5: got five houses on the market in Mason County, where
• 7:51
Speaker 5: you already have three billions of dollars of investment, you
• 7:54
Speaker 5: just had another eight hundred and seventy five million dollar
• 7:57
Speaker 5: company announce and there's a couple more really big ones
• 8:00
Speaker 5: coming behind that that are huge. So the housing more
• 8:05
Speaker 5: And I was talking to a housing developer there yesterday
• 8:08
Speaker 5: who is planning to put hundreds of homes up there.
• 8:11
Speaker 5: But they got to have the infrastructure and so, and
• 8:15
Speaker 5: we can do that in this session. We can produce
• 8:18
Speaker 5: the legislation and the money that in frankly, legislation's are.
• 8:23
Speaker 5: It's just a matter of appropriating the money to the
• 8:25
Speaker 5: correct projects to get all that done.
• 8:29
Speaker 4: The thing is, it takes time get all it down.
• 8:30
Speaker 5: So you got to get all the all to get
• 8:32
Speaker 5: all the permitting and all that stuff out of the way.
• 8:34
Speaker 5: The bureaucratics side out by the way and say we're
• 8:36
Speaker 5: gonna get this done. We're gonna focus on it. And
• 8:38
Speaker 5: we've done that. We did up a new core. So
• 8:40
Speaker 5: if we can do it for the fortune one hundreds,
• 8:44
Speaker 5: we can do it to put a few hundred to
• 8:46
Speaker 5: one thousand people in a county.
• 8:49
Speaker 4: So and that's that's what the way we need to
• 8:50
  Speaker 4: be doing.
• 8:51
Speaker 2: I'm not going to do a Senator Eric tar of
• 8:54
Speaker 2: what what have you been What's what's been of interest?
• 8:56
Speaker 2: What have you been working on so far? I know
• 8:57
Speaker 2: you said there's not been a lot of bills that
• 8:59
Speaker 2: have come out of the center, But what have you
• 9:01
Speaker 2: been keeping your eye on so far as far as
• 9:02
Speaker 2: what has actually come out or at least being looked at.
• 9:05
Speaker 5: So one of the things that Senator Jefferies and I
• 9:07
Speaker 5: have been talking quite a bit here recently, is going
• 9:12
Speaker 5: through and doing teams West Virginia.
• 9:13
Speaker 4: You heard that discussion come from the speaker.
• 9:15
Speaker 5: Back in twenty fifteen, I first met with and several
• 9:20
Speaker 5: of us first met with Jobs Ohio crew.
• 9:24
Speaker 4: And so that was a group of CEOs and VC Group.
• 9:28
Speaker 5: Managers who came together in Ohio and put something a
• 9:31
Speaker 5: package together called Jobs Ohio, and we started looking at it.
• 9:34
Speaker 5: Then it really wasn't feasible and we didn't feel in
• 9:38
Speaker 5: West Virginia at that time, so we started investigating it.
• 9:42
Speaker 5: It really gained a lot of momentum over the past
• 9:45
Speaker 5: three years we've been working on it, went back, revisited that,
• 9:48
Speaker 5: got that team back in and started designing a path.
• 9:52
Speaker 5: What can we do in westernam you look like this?
• 9:54
Speaker 5: And the reason we want it is that since they
• 9:58
Speaker 5: did that in Ohio and I'm trying to remember the
• 10:00
Speaker 5: year they did it, it was it was maybe early two thousands,
• 10:04
Speaker 5: they've had hundreds of thousands of jobs landed on Higo
• 10:06
Speaker 5: over that hundreds of thousands of jobs and accelerated their
• 10:11
Speaker 5: economic development investment from about twenty five million a year
• 10:15
  Speaker 5: to a billion a year. So it's a it's a
• 10:18
Speaker 5: huge it's a very powerful piece of economic development legislation.
• 10:21
Speaker 5: But it also you have to get it right. There's
• 10:24
Speaker 5: a there's a lot of pitfalls if you do it wrong.
• 10:28
Speaker 5: So you don't you don't want to go in and
• 10:30
Speaker 5: expend the kind of capital that would take to get
• 10:33
Speaker 5: this done and get it wrong. So we've been studying
• 10:37
Speaker 5: over that. We've been studying over it for several years now,
• 10:40
Speaker 5: and I think that legislation is probably going to see
• 10:42
Speaker 5: daylight this session, and I'm really eager to see that.
• 10:45
Speaker 2: The House Senator Datar came out before the session a
• 10:50
Speaker 2: couple of weeks before and they said, look, you know
• 10:54
Speaker 2: was the we want to focus more? Speaker Hanchell said,
• 10:59
Speaker 2: we want to focus on economic things, things that you're
• 11:02
Speaker 2: that you're talking about, and get away from and again
• 11:05
Speaker 2: I'm kind of perful to get away from these a
• 11:07
Speaker 2: lot of the social issues. There have been a couple
• 11:09
Speaker 2: of things. And again the shiny objects, as you know
• 11:12
Speaker 2: you've been there for, why are the ones that always
• 11:14
Speaker 2: make you know? Economic development it's not sexy. I mean
• 11:17
Speaker 2: I love it, I love it, and I know you do,
• 11:19
Speaker 2: but it's not really sick. What gets the attention sometimes
• 11:22
Speaker 2: is these other things. And I'm not talking but I'm
• 11:25
Speaker 2: talking about just the Senate. I'm talking about in the
• 11:26
Speaker 2: House yesterday. Are are you hopeful that the Senate will
• 11:32
Speaker 2: will keep up with that pace and not focus on
• 11:34
Speaker 2: some of these things that, in my opinion, and you're
• 11:36
Speaker 2: there you can disagree, I think have served as a
• 11:38
Speaker 2: distraction from getting things done.
• 11:41
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 11:41
Speaker 5: You know, what I hope is that it's not something
• 11:43
Speaker 5: that's done in lieu of economic development policy. Okay, And so,
• 11:46
Speaker 5: I mean, I've said a lot many times that we
• 11:50
Speaker 5: can walk and chew gum. At the same time, the
• 11:54
Speaker 5: majority and certainly the majority of the Republican Senate Caucus
• 11:58
Speaker 5: are social conservatives, at least by by their their claim
• 12:04
Speaker 5: and what they enunciate. Being able to affect conservative policy
• 12:09
Speaker 5: is more than just throwing out what the redst meat
• 12:12
Speaker 5: is that that that day. And so, because what you
• 12:14
Speaker 5: can do is you can you can actually be counter
• 12:17
Speaker 5: to your conservative effort if you lose the respect and
• 12:22
Speaker 5: support of the people who elect you to be there
• 12:24
Speaker 5: because you're not actually effectuating economic development in the state.
• 12:29
Speaker 5: Because I tell you, and I've said it and I'll
• 12:31
Speaker 5: say it till the day I die. The lessons I've
• 12:33
Speaker 5: learned up here. The absolute most conservative thing you can
• 12:36
Speaker 5: do is create a job. And the reason that's the
• 12:38
Speaker 5: most conservative thing you do is the more jobs you
• 12:41
Speaker 5: can create, the more you can shrink government. The more
• 12:43
Speaker 5: you can shrink government, the less government dependency you have,
• 12:47
Speaker 5: and the more you have somebody who they can they
• 12:49
Speaker 5: can provide for their family and get that identity around it.
• 12:52
Speaker 4: They want that independence.
• 12:53
Speaker 5: They don't want handouts, so you get people off entitlements.
• 12:59
Speaker 5: So we have got to get to that point. And
• 13:02
Speaker 5: I think that there's not that I think.
• 13:04
  Speaker 4: I know.
• 13:05
Speaker 5: I've been told there are some senators that are there
• 13:07
Speaker 5: in the Senate have told me to my face, Eric,
• 13:10
Speaker 5: I just really don't care about that economic development stuff.
• 13:12
Speaker 5: Now I'm here for the social stuff. Well, to me,
• 13:15
Speaker 5: that's an oxymoron. You can't say that you don't care
• 13:18
Speaker 5: about economic development then say you're conservative. So to me,
• 13:22
Speaker 5: you've become counter to conservative policy development. So and that's
• 13:28
Speaker 5: the challenge we have right now with the what you know,
• 13:31
Speaker 5: the populist right, and so will I vote with most
• 13:35
Speaker 5: of the time that stuff is right down the line
• 13:36
Speaker 5: with what I would vote for is it going to
• 13:38
Speaker 5: be the stuff that changes generations of lives in West Virginia.
• 13:42
Speaker 5: Absolutely not. And that's that's the challenge because we most
• 13:47
Speaker 5: of that big red meat, just like the big economic stuff.
• 13:49
Speaker 5: We've we've knocked that out. Go count how many abortions
• 13:51
Speaker 5: there were in West Virginia since we went through and
• 13:54
Speaker 5: took it all the way down to almost no exceptions,
• 13:58
Speaker 5: and you're not going to find a bores in clinic
• 14:00
Speaker 5: and West Virginia anywhere because they're outlawed. So you know,
• 14:04
Speaker 5: that's there's things that we've done through and you will
• 14:06
Speaker 5: not find anybody more pro life, more right on that issue.

• 14:12
Speaker 5: and I've proven that with my votes. So there's those
• 14:17
Speaker 5: those social policies that are important. They're what get people elected,
• 14:20
Speaker 5: especially in the Republican Party, because it's it's what it's
• 14:23
Speaker 5: what gets people's tempers flared, it's what gets their passions rolling.
• 14:28
Speaker 5: But really you have to look at results and to

• 17:32
Speaker 2: got a question here for you says, the Texas says,
• 17:36
Speaker 2: roads are a constant conversation. Can you please explain how
• 17:39
Speaker 2: appropriations are made for road repairs and what role the
• 17:42
Speaker 2: Governor's office plays in those decisions.
• 17:43
  Speaker 4: Hey, that's a great question.
• 17:45
Speaker 5: So highways under the executive First, they're not controlled by
• 17:51
Speaker 5: the legislature except through how we appropriate them. Because we
• 17:55
Speaker 5: represent our districts. We go in and make request to
• 17:59
Speaker 5: Apartment Highway and to the Governor's office to get certain
• 18:02
Speaker 5: projects done, to try to get those those spots attention
• 18:06
Speaker 5: and to be raised to any given center, raised to
• 18:09
Speaker 5: the top of the list to get repaired. But I'll
• 18:11
Speaker 5: tell you what we've done over the past, probably four
• 18:16
Speaker 5: years before when I came into finance cheer position here
• 18:20
Speaker 5: back in twenty one, the I think it's twenty one,
• 18:26
Speaker 5: the biggest appropriation out of general revenue for highways for
• 18:31
Speaker 5: stuff outside of what the federal money came in. Stuff
• 18:32
Speaker 5: we took from taxpayer dollars in West Virginia to put
• 18:35
Speaker 5: it toward roads. The biggest appropriation was twelve million dollars
• 18:38
Speaker 5: we could find anywhere prior to that. Since twenty one,
• 18:43
Speaker 5: excuse me, since twenty one, we have appropriated over eight
• 18:46
Speaker 5: hundred million dollars into secondary road repairs. And so one
• 18:50
Speaker 5: of the things you have to look at, and it's
• 18:53
Speaker 5: there's several good examples that wes not good examples, several
• 18:57
Speaker 5: unfortunate examples we can go through that people are really understand.
• 19:00
Speaker 5: The impact on is that when you do not spend
• 19:04
Speaker 5: on infrastructure or services that constantly get more expensive to do.
• 19:12
Speaker 5: When you do start spending, it takes an awful lot
• 19:14
Speaker 5: of money and it takes an awful lot of time
• 19:17
Speaker 5: to go back and catch up for that neglect that's
• 19:19
Speaker 5: happened over the past few years.
• 19:20
  Speaker 4: I'll give you.
• 19:21
Speaker 5: I'll give you one big example was when Governor Justice
• 19:25
Speaker 5: in his eight years, and this is very analogous to
• 19:27
Speaker 5: what's happened in our roads in West Virginia, in his
• 19:31
Speaker 5: eight years, he would not raise the PIA premiums. Meanwhile,
• 19:35
Speaker 5: the cost of health care was going up double digits
• 19:39
Speaker 5: per year. And then upon him leaving, you're really about
• 19:44
Speaker 5: to exhaust the pie reserve fund and you have to
• 19:47
Speaker 5: get the premiums caught in to get up to where
• 19:50
Speaker 5: you can actually keep up with the cost of health care.
• 19:51
Speaker 5: So what happens is is West Virginia feels this huge
• 19:55
Speaker 5: impact of expense that comes into PIA, both at the
• 19:58
Speaker 5: people that it serves and also the people who are
• 20:00
Speaker 5: or from the state level taxpayers are contributing to it.
• 20:02
Speaker 5: So that was a big discussion. But what I don't
• 20:05
Speaker 5: think people realize the same thing happened with roads, but
• 20:07
Speaker 5: that wasn't necessarily a Justice thing because those appropriations started
• 20:11
Speaker 5: happening under that Justice administration. It's just there was so
• 20:14
Speaker 5: little focus on using one time money for infrastructure prior
• 20:20
Speaker 5: to just about four years ago that we have so
• 20:24
Speaker 5: much in whether it's roads or whether it's buildings that
• 20:29
Speaker 5: have dilapidated that's under the state's purview, those type things
• 20:32
Speaker 5: that we've had to catch up and so we started
• 20:35
Speaker 5: focusing on to using one time dollars for one time expenses,
• 20:40
Speaker 5: and that's where a lot of that surplus money comes in,
• 20:42
Speaker 5: especially if it's related to anything to severance, because it's
• 20:44
Speaker 5: such a roller coaster rideal how much you'll have from severance. Well,
• 20:48
Speaker 5: that's been a focused over the past few years. So
• 20:50
Speaker 5: what happens now is that there's always going to be
• 20:54
Speaker 5: there will never ever not be a reason to complain
• 20:57
Speaker 5: about roads in West Virginia.
• 20:58
Speaker 4: And I'm one of the people.
• 20:59
Speaker 5: You know me, I'm a car right, So it's just
• 21:02
Speaker 5: I love cars, and unfortunately I love low profile tires
• 21:06
  Speaker 5: and so so.
• 21:07
Speaker 2: Not necessarily conducive to the conditions.
• 21:10
Speaker 5: It is absolutely not conducive to the conditions. And so
• 21:13
Speaker 5: you know, I can certainly appreciate when you bust a
• 21:15
Speaker 5: wheel on a West Virginia pothole. So if anybody commiserates
• 21:20
Speaker 5: with that, it's me. So it's one of the things
• 21:22
Speaker 5: that we helped get to that on the long term,
• 21:24
Speaker 5: those that we can still continue to appropriate those one
• 21:26
Speaker 5: time dollars. It gets right back to that that jobs thing.
• 21:29
  Speaker 6: Man.
• 21:29
Speaker 5: You got to have the investment. You've got to have
• 21:31
Speaker 5: a tax base, because if we do not continue to
• 21:33
Speaker 5: grow our tax base to keep up with the pace
• 21:36
Speaker 5: of inflation, you will not be able to do those
• 21:39
Speaker 5: one time appropriations on roads. So I tell you what
• 21:43
Speaker 5: you keep sending them. One of things I tell you
• 21:45
Speaker 5: about Puttnam Countyhi I got on here is that Puttonam County,
• 21:47
Speaker 5: And I've told this the other counties. I represent the
• 21:50
Speaker 5: Puttnham County Commission. Although they have no control over the
• 21:53
Speaker 5: roads they repair, they have created a Roads Committee on
• 21:58
Speaker 5: there so you can go in every once a month
• 22:01
Speaker 5: into Puttnam County Commission meeting and sit down with the
• 22:05
Speaker 5: County Commission, put your road repair on a list. The
• 22:09
Speaker 5: Highways Department, the local district is in there to hear
• 22:12
Speaker 5: about it. They're there to inform you and what they're
• 22:14
Speaker 5: doing so far, and what's ahead of you and why.
• 22:17
Speaker 5: And it's a very civil discussion to go and do it.
• 22:19
Speaker 5: And it's civil because they do it regularly, and they
• 22:22
Speaker 5: do it systematically. If you do that sporadically and you
• 22:26
Speaker 5: don't do it regularly, it becomes pitchforks with fire and
• 22:29
Speaker 5: torches and they are ready to burn the place down
• 22:32
Speaker 5: because the road's not being repaired. So it takes a
• 22:35
Speaker 5: large team to get that done. It's something we focus
• 22:38
Speaker 5: on constantly, and it's something personally that I focus on.
• 22:40
  Speaker 12: Going.
• 22:40
Speaker 2: All right, well, let me ask you this as somebody
• 22:41
Speaker 2: who lives and you know where I live, right in
• 22:43
Speaker 2: the heart of Taysee Valley. This may be out of
• 22:46
Speaker 2: your purview, but since everybody else has a pitchfork in
• 22:48
  Speaker 2: a torch.
• 22:48
Speaker 4: I won't want you to bring it.
• 22:49
Speaker 2: Why is Tayese Valley Road so bad in the winter time?
• 22:52
Speaker 2: I mean, I'm talking about the area in front of
• 22:55
Speaker 2: fireside grill the Captain to the main section, Senator, it
• 22:59
Speaker 2: is horrible. It's absolutely horrible, uh, in winter time conditions.
• 23:04
Speaker 5: Right, So why And the answer I would say is
• 23:07
Speaker 5: that the when they get into when they can start
• 23:09
Speaker 5: donose pairs, you can just spot this cold patch that
• 23:12
Speaker 5: is one of the heaviest trafficked.
• 23:13
Speaker 2: Areas and taste and getting heavier.
• 23:16
Speaker 5: And you also have to realize that anytime that you're
• 23:19
Speaker 5: looking at road rey pairs, it's it's like anything else
• 23:21
Speaker 5: in life. You're it's relative to what else are you observing.
• 23:24
Speaker 5: And so that the traffic on that area right now
• 23:26
Speaker 5: and you get into cold patch season, it just removal.
• 23:30
Speaker 2: And that's what I'm talking about, snow and ice removal.
• 23:32
Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking about. Ice removal.
• 23:33
  Speaker 6: That one.
• 23:34
  Speaker 5: You know what, that's a great question. I don't have
• 23:35
Speaker 5: to ask Highways for you. That's what I would do.
• 23:37
Speaker 2: Get on it as a as a constituent, get it,
• 23:40
Speaker 2: get on it, on it. Tex says, I lived in
• 23:42
Speaker 2: Putnam County most of my life and I know a
• 23:43
Speaker 2: lot of people from there. I can tell you without
• 23:45
Speaker 2: a doubt, we don't want more people.
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: Period.
• 23:50
Speaker 4: They don't want more people.
• 23:51
Speaker 2: I don't want more people. Go down to McDowell County
• 23:54
Speaker 2: and and and and and place that argument.
• 23:56
Speaker 5: That's that relative part I'm talking about. Okay, I would
• 23:58
Speaker 5: definitely different with that one, all right.
• 24:00
Speaker 2: And I got other things I want to get to.
• 24:02
Speaker 2: But you're always good about taking text when you're on here,
• 24:04
Speaker 2: and I appreciate text, says Eric tartan Is. Felal Conservatives
• 24:06
Speaker 2: are incredibly pro life and pro child. Just look at
• 24:09
Speaker 2: how well the foster system is working. Tarring Is fellow
• 24:11
Speaker 2: Conservatives are pro forced birth. They don't respect women's autonomy.
• 24:16
Speaker 4: You know what I respect is life.
• 24:19
Speaker 5: There's I would I would say, you know that, not me,
• 24:22
  Speaker 5: and I'd say just about everybody's since it's not it's
• 24:26
Speaker 5: not down to every Republican in the Senate, but most
• 24:29
Speaker 5: of them respect life first and the ability to have
• 24:34
Speaker 5: a chance to live once you're created by God in
• 24:36
Speaker 5: that womb. So one of the things that I think
• 24:39
Speaker 5: that the people who don't respect that life prefer to
• 24:44
Speaker 5: have no accountability and no responsibility for one decisions they
• 24:49
Speaker 5: make or two situations they find themselves in. When there's
• 24:53
Speaker 5: opportunity to to improve that situation, which could be a terrible,
• 24:58
Speaker 5: miserable situation. There's I've lived in the Appalachian you know,
• 25:03
Speaker 5: my my beginnings. That's that's that I've come from to
• 25:06
Speaker 5: be in those situations where that's a struggle and I
• 25:10
Speaker 5: can speak to it.
• 25:11
  Speaker 4: You know.
• 25:11
Speaker 5: It's I had my first child five days after high
• 25:15
Speaker 5: school graduation, got married in high school, got my my girlfriend,
• 25:19
Speaker 5: longtime girlfriend, pregnant, and so we got married, decided, you
• 25:22
Speaker 5: know what, this is going to be hard, but we're
• 25:24
Speaker 5: going to figure this out.
• 25:26
Speaker 4: Uh ended up being a child with special needs.
• 25:29
Speaker 5: So that that we had and we were told at
• 25:34
Speaker 5: that time, and I'll give you my personal side of it.
• 25:36
Speaker 5: I had people, including teachers coming to me to say,
• 25:41
Speaker 5: you know, you should really think about not having this child.
• 25:44
Speaker 5: And to me, it is like that was that was
• 25:45
Speaker 5: the same that's coming say to me, you should really
• 25:47
Speaker 5: think about killing your son or killing your child. At
• 25:49
Speaker 5: that time, didn't know which one was going to be,
• 25:51
Speaker 5: and I got fight and angry over it. So think
• 25:54
Speaker 5: about somebody coming telling you, you know what, you should
• 25:56
Speaker 5: really think about killing your child. That's how I look
• 25:59
Speaker 5: at it, And you know what I'm I'm I'm happy
• 26:02
Speaker 5: to go to my creator and say that that's a
• 26:05
Speaker 5: stance I took, and that's what I'll do.
• 26:07
Speaker 2: You're up for reelection this year. Are you going to
• 26:10
Speaker 2: run for re election?
• 26:11
Speaker 4: Absolutely? Yeah, yeah, thanks for asking.
• 26:13
Speaker 5: You know, I filed yesterday morning or yesterday afternoon, one o'clock.
• 26:17
Speaker 5: We had people from all over the district there where
• 26:19
Speaker 5: they were for the filing, which really puts a fire
• 26:23
Speaker 5: in your heart once you It's if you've never ran
• 26:26
Speaker 5: for office, and you're even after serving for a while
• 26:30
Speaker 5: and you go in. I filed a couple of times,
• 26:32
Speaker 5: you know, to be elected for things, and so you
• 26:35
Speaker 5: would think that it would become just another thing to do.
• 26:38
Speaker 5: But go in, you start filing, filling that paper out,
• 26:41
Speaker 5: feeling the information out, and you put your signature on it. Man,
• 26:44
Speaker 5: that fire and your belly gets getting out. So I'm
• 26:45
Speaker 5: ready for campaign. So and I'm excited about what I've
• 26:49
Speaker 5: been able to do in these past seven years.
• 26:51
Speaker 2: You have opposition in a primary. There's at least two
• 26:54
Speaker 2: that I know of in the primary, which is you
• 26:57
Speaker 2: know the fact that we had that many people running
• 26:59
Speaker 2: as a Republicanday in West Virginia is kind of interesting
• 27:02
Speaker 2: to maybe it just shows you how far the party's
• 27:03
Speaker 2: gone filing period in Saturday night at midnight, why are
• 27:08
Speaker 2: you you talked about the campaign? Why do you feel
• 27:10
Speaker 2: that you're the best choice, and why should the people
• 27:12
Speaker 2: of the fourth keep Eritar in office?
• 27:13
Speaker 5: You know, at first I look at results, and I
• 27:16
Speaker 5: would look at what the sacrifice it takes to run.
• 27:19
Speaker 5: So the results is under my leadership. And then in
• 27:26
Speaker 5: teams that we had together, and putting those teams together,
• 27:29
Speaker 5: delivered the largest tax cut in the history of West Virginia,
• 27:32
Speaker 5: over eight hundred million dollars per year, combined with other
• 27:35
Speaker 5: tax cuts that were over a billion dollars in cuts
• 27:37
Speaker 5: per year, turned a state around.
• 27:40
  Speaker 13: You.
• 27:40
Speaker 5: I came in as a policy advisor in twenty fifteen
• 27:43
Speaker 5: by the Republican Senate majority asking me to look at
• 27:46
Speaker 5: budget healthcare issues, and so came in under a ten
• 27:50
Speaker 5: percent deficit. In my term as finance chair, we went
• 27:53
Speaker 5: from a ten percent deficit to nearly thirty percent surplus,
• 27:58
Speaker 5: which was one of the largest in the country relative
• 28:00
Speaker 5: to their general revenue budget at one point seven billion
• 28:03
Speaker 5: dollars in West Virginia. We turned around turned that money
• 28:08
Speaker 5: into economic development. Prior to my service there, and I
• 28:12
Speaker 5: said these are all efforts I was part and parcel
• 28:14
Speaker 5: to and champion with. I'm going in and helped design.
• 28:18
Speaker 5: It wasn't if I wasn't the architect from the start
• 28:20
Speaker 5: on some of these. And another way, we were spending
• 28:23
Speaker 5: a million dollars year on economic development and we went
• 28:25
Speaker 5: to spending six hundred million that resulted in landing fortune
• 28:29
Speaker 5: one hundred companies that in my Senate district and Senate
• 28:31
Speaker 5: district for right now will count into the tens of
• 28:36
Speaker 5: thousands of jobs in Senate District four. And that's already
• 28:41
Speaker 5: you know, it's from the construction jobs, it's going to
• 28:43
Speaker 5: new courts, from the actual jobs that are permanent with there.
• 28:47
Speaker 5: The other companies are coming with Berkshire, hath Away, with Time,
• 28:51
Speaker 5: met with Frontiersts and some others. I can't say their
• 28:54
Speaker 5: name yet because they've asked me not to the announcement
• 28:56
Speaker 5: that they're giving me the announcements ahead of them coming.
• 28:58
Speaker 2: Why you've teased that, Senator, yes twice. When when when
• 29:01
Speaker 2: can we expect it ann out?
• 29:02
Speaker 5: There's some announcements coming very very very very very very February. See,
• 29:13
Speaker 5: so let's say fe February.
• 29:14
Speaker 2: So that's good because I was going to say, is
• 29:15
Speaker 2: that like two o'clock soon or is that August soon?
• 29:18
Speaker 5: So you're saying February, I'm saying February seeing, February seeing so.
• 29:20
Speaker 5: And this is the other thing too, is that you know,
• 29:22
Speaker 5: I like to tea because they get excited about it
• 29:25
Speaker 5: because every every one that you come through is just
• 29:27
Speaker 5: amazing that you start to see fruit from those efforts
• 29:32
Speaker 5: in the billions of dollars and thousands of jobs. I mean,
• 29:36
Speaker 5: that's impactful, that that keeps your kids home. So when, when,
• 29:40
Speaker 5: why should you vote for me?
• 29:41
Speaker 4: I tell you what.
• 29:42
Speaker 5: I hand out a pen that I made that that
• 29:44
Speaker 5: with people help with the campaign, and I was gave
• 29:48
Speaker 5: that pen out yesterday to some of the people that
• 29:49
Speaker 5: were there with me the signing and had a local artist,
• 29:52
Speaker 5: JP o Ands made this you know JP very well
• 29:54
Speaker 5: so and asked them to make a pen, a West
• 29:59
Speaker 5: Virginia pen that reflected my values in the campaign. One
• 30:04
Speaker 5: was prosperity and on that pen is a gold bar.
• 30:08
Speaker 5: Another one is patriotism. On that pen the stripes, and
• 30:12
Speaker 5: then another one is service and it's the Capitol Dome.
• 30:15
Speaker 5: Another one to teach a man to fish. I take
• 30:17
Speaker 5: that teach a man I take all very seriously, but
• 30:20
Speaker 5: that teach a man to fish. This is what it's
• 30:22
Speaker 5: been about. That's why you're seeing this stuff landing district
• 30:25
Speaker 5: for So, it's going to give your kids, give your grandchildren,
• 30:29
Speaker 5: your great grandchildren, the opportunity to stay in West Virginia
• 30:33
Speaker 5: for just about any type of profession they want. That's
• 30:35
Speaker 5: how you get there, and that's how we get the
• 30:37
Speaker 5: roads fixed. That's how you get sewer and water, it's
• 30:38
Speaker 5: how you get good school systems. That you just go
• 30:40
Speaker 5: right on the line. That's it. It's the most conservative
• 30:42
Speaker 5: thing you can do. So and the reason we give
• 30:44
Speaker 5: that pen is that if you're talking about the campaign,
• 30:46
Speaker 5: this is what it's about.
• 30:48
Speaker 2: All right, Before we let you go, how long do
• 30:51
Speaker 2: you want to do this? If you are if you're
• 30:53
Speaker 2: re elected, not a guarantee, but if you are re elected,
• 30:57
Speaker 2: and do you have any other political aspirations?
• 31:00
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a great question. So the first part it
• 31:02
Speaker 5: sounds like my my beloved wife asking me that question.
• 31:05
Speaker 4: How long did she to be here?
• 31:07
Speaker 2: So she asked me to do it.
• 31:08
Speaker 4: Did she send you a text in I'm pretty sure.
• 31:10
Speaker 5: I'm sure Natalie just sent you a text message and
• 31:12
Speaker 5: said to ask him this question, please, you know, so,
• 31:15
Speaker 5: and it's it's a huge sacrifice for the family when
• 31:18
Speaker 5: we do this too.
• 31:18
Speaker 4: So I mean, I say that and jes but I
• 31:21
  Speaker 4: get the question.
• 31:22
  Speaker 13: You know.
• 31:24
Speaker 5: As long as I feel like West Virginia needs the
• 31:29
Speaker 5: push that I can give from the Senate, this is
• 31:31
Speaker 5: a great place for me to serve as in the
• 31:33
Speaker 5: Senate because, as you know, I have a lot of
• 31:36
Speaker 5: responsibilities outside of serving in the Senate, and they're very
• 31:39
Speaker 5: diverse within our businesses. And so a Senate allows you
• 31:45
Speaker 5: to serve at a at a level that you can throttle.
• 31:51
Speaker 5: In other words, you can be somebody and this is
• 31:53
Speaker 5: not me, but we have them in there. Who's somebody
• 31:55
Speaker 5: who just you know, shows up from the bell rings
• 31:58
Speaker 5: and where's the title?
• 31:59
  Speaker 4: And that's it's not me. I don't need another title.
• 32:01
Speaker 4: It's not about that at all.
• 32:05
Speaker 5: What drives me is to show up and be there
• 32:09
Speaker 5: sometimes for you to sixty hours a week in my
• 32:12
Speaker 5: service year round, rather than just showing up at the
• 32:15
Speaker 5: bell is. The problems that I get frustrated with are
• 32:19
Speaker 5: the same problems that my neighbors are frustrated with, that
• 32:22
Speaker 5: my community's frustrated with. And I know that I have
• 32:27
Speaker 5: the wherewithal and influence when I get in those groups
• 32:30
Speaker 5: up there, because I've done it for years to make
• 32:31
Speaker 5: a difference, and it's a rewarding difference to make. And
• 32:37
Speaker 5: you know, we've been blessed now that being coming up
• 32:40
Speaker 5: and doing that doesn't really change the way I have
• 32:42
  Speaker 5: to eat.
• 32:43
Speaker 4: So it's an expense to us, but it's affordable.
• 32:46
Speaker 2: All right. Anything beyond that sent it.
• 32:48
Speaker 5: For you, anything beyond it. I get asked that question
• 32:51
  Speaker 5: a lot too.
• 32:52
  Speaker 2: I mean about thirty seconds, and I know it's a
• 32:54
Speaker 2: lot for thirty seconds, but go ahead.
• 32:56
Speaker 4: Future aspirations in other chairs are not out of the question.
• 32:59
Speaker 4: Let's put that. Let's just put there in that way
• 33:01
  Speaker 4: fair enough.
• 33:02
Speaker 2: Scenari Tar, appreciate you being here.

• 33:13
Speaker 2: was not designed to be an all Putnam County shop.
• 33:15
Speaker 2: Maybe if it were, I could have just stayed in
• 33:16
Speaker 2: Putnam County and I made that drive on sixty four
• 33:18
Speaker 2: this morning. But it wasn't planned. It just kind of

• 36:09
Speaker 2: of talking about the weather, This morning i'm going to
• 36:11
Speaker 2: talk about maybe the impact. Of weather schools have been
• 36:14
Speaker 2: closed and remain closed and Can On, putnham county actually
• 36:17
Speaker 2: in all Fifty Five west, virginia counties which doesn't happen.
• 36:19
Speaker 2: That often but the issue is many school systems are
• 36:22
Speaker 2: out of what's known as traditional, snow days and now
• 36:26
Speaker 2: they're on to none. Traditional. Days now it's all kind
• 36:29
Speaker 2: of foreign to me as a kid who went to
• 36:31
Speaker 2: school to the seventies and eighties and who doesn't have
• 36:33
Speaker 2: kids or. Grandkids now Superintendent Of Putnam County Schools john
• 36:36
Speaker 2: hudson joined us now and he knows. About it, good,
• 36:38
Speaker 2: morning sir welcome to.
• 36:39
Speaker 6: The show good. Morning day how.
• 36:41
Speaker 2: Are you i'm, Doing fine thank you for. BEING here
• 36:43
Speaker 2: i think everyone superintendent enjoys good snow day every now,
• 36:46
Speaker 2: and then but this winner's been a completely different animal
• 36:50
Speaker 2: so far as far as time away from. The, classroom.
• 36:53
Speaker 6: Yes. It has and let me give a. Little Background Last,
• 36:57
Speaker 6: january february just as we were adopting the twenty five
• 37:00
Speaker 6: twenty six, school calendar we had a lot of request
• 37:04
Speaker 6: to utilize a non traditional instructional Day And putnam county
• 37:09
Speaker 6: had not done, that previously some other. Counties had so
• 37:12
Speaker 6: we had a STAKEHOLDER group gosha of about fifty, six
• 37:16
Speaker 6: employees different stakeholders and family surveys that were sent out
• 37:21
Speaker 6: as a result. Of that what, we did in addition
• 37:24
Speaker 6: to what you indicated maybe traditional. Snow days then we
• 37:29
Speaker 6: Implemented The Non Traditional Instructional day Plan For Putnam county
• 37:34
Speaker 6: schools and this is our first year utilizing, that plan
• 37:38
Speaker 6: and today is our first actual day usually.
• 37:41
Speaker 2: That plan so for those of us that don't know
• 37:43
Speaker 2: what actually goes, ON here i mean kids are, logging
• 37:46
Speaker 2: in they're, doing work explain it to, Me.
• 37:49
Speaker 6: Sure and what happens is our employees report on a
• 37:53
Speaker 6: two hour delay and each school has a, schedule, elementary middle.
• 37:58
Speaker 6: High school each of, the schools they have schedule and
• 38:02
Speaker 6: assignments for example at the secondary level are posted. On
• 38:06
Speaker 6: schoolgee that's what's called our learning management systems where students
• 38:10
Speaker 6: families can, access lessons the teachers, are available they have
• 38:14
Speaker 6: designated times. For students if students need to reach out be,
• 38:19
Speaker 6: a teams our counselors. Are available we have a technology hotline.
• 38:23
Speaker 6: That's available and what happens on this non traditional instruction day,
• 38:28
Speaker 6: as well our cooks are in the kitchen, and cooking
• 38:31
Speaker 6: and our families can even request meals and pick. Those
• 38:34
Speaker 6: up but, in effect students at all grade, levels, elementary
• 38:39
Speaker 6: middle and high have. Teachers there they're completing assignments and
• 38:43
Speaker 6: the teachers are there ready and available to assist those
• 38:47
Speaker 6: students as well as our. Counselor psychologists we have a
• 38:50
Speaker 6: plan for. Every classification.
• 38:53
Speaker 2: What has been over the years since we started things,
• 38:56
Speaker 2: like This and i'll even go back TO the covid
• 38:58
Speaker 2: years when we had. Virtual learning, superintendent again we're Talking
• 39:00
Speaker 2: To Superintendent. John hudson what's been the buy in from
• 39:03
Speaker 2: the parents and the grandparents and the students, on THIS because,
• 39:06
Speaker 2: I mean, i could, you, know imagine And again i'm
• 39:09
Speaker 2: going back TO when i was a KID that i could.
• 39:12
Speaker 2: Have imagined, YOU know i may not be too terribly happy.
• 39:15
Speaker 2: About that, YOU know i wanted to get outside and
• 39:17
Speaker 2: play in the snow, and whatever but you can't always.
• 39:21
Speaker 2: DO that, I mean i'm. Just INTERESTED what, I mean
• 39:23
Speaker 2: i know you said that the parents had asked. For
• 39:25
Speaker 2: this i'm just kind. Of interested what's the response been?
• 39:27
Speaker 2: SO far, I mean i know this is the first
• 39:28
Speaker 2: year you've, done this but we have done remote learning in.
• 39:30
Speaker 6: The, Past, yes Well what i'll tell you as just
• 39:34
Speaker 6: two on setting, the stage we Already Have Putnam. County
• 39:38
Speaker 6: school we bank thirty additional minutes, every day so that
• 39:42
Speaker 6: allows us to have, five days and we've already used
• 39:45
Speaker 6: those five days of traditional snow days if, you will
• 39:48
Speaker 6: where Students, aren't hey there's. Sleigh riding they're out there
• 39:51
Speaker 6: doing whatever they, Want to but we couldn't. Have school
• 39:54
Speaker 6: and then we have, os days and we have six,
• 39:57
Speaker 6: of those and now we have five of these non traditional.
• 40:01
Speaker 6: Instructional day the benefit is we do have some of
• 40:05
Speaker 6: these services instead of kids just. Being home but the
• 40:09
Speaker 6: big benefit to parents and teachers is if we wouldn't
• 40:13
Speaker 6: utilize these days and we would continue, to miss our
• 40:17
Speaker 6: calendar would Extend. Into june so instead of Maybe ending
• 40:23
Speaker 6: june to eighth for, every day if we've utilized all of,
• 40:27
Speaker 6: our days then, we could in, a fact we could
• 40:30
Speaker 6: end up in School on june to, twenty fifth depending
• 40:32
Speaker 6: on the. Snow days we don't believe INSTRUCTION and i
• 40:35
Speaker 6: think parents believe and teachers believe probably is the best
• 40:37
Speaker 6: at that time. Of year so this allows that's. The
• 40:40
Speaker 6: benefit this helps us better prevent that school calendar from
• 40:45
  Speaker 6: going further in.
• 40:46
Speaker 2: The summer is there that was gonna be my, nice Question.
• 40:48
Speaker 2: Super tenda is there a, chance though and if we
• 40:51
Speaker 2: keep having the winter that we've been having, so far
• 40:53
Speaker 2: is there a chance that it would? Be, extended well
• 40:56
  Speaker 2: if we.
• 40:56
Speaker 6: Have used we basically have. Fifteen days so if we
• 41:01
Speaker 6: would go, on today sixteen, seventeen eighteen we would extend,
• 41:04
Speaker 6: that calendar just like any other family would have.
• 41:07
Speaker 2: To do but you're out of traditional. Snow days so
• 41:09
Speaker 2: if we get let's say we get a really big
• 41:12
Speaker 2: snow in the Middle of february and it's not covered
• 41:15
Speaker 2: in ice like it, Is now i'm talking about just
• 41:17
Speaker 2: a traditional snow day where the kids want to. Get
• 41:20
Speaker 2: out they're done with traditional. Snow days is that what, You're, saying.
• 41:23
Speaker 6: Well what We have we have, Our bank we have
• 41:26
Speaker 6: five that, we've used But Now west virginia code REQUIRES
• 41:30
Speaker 6: six os days and that's outside. School environment so? What
• 41:33
Speaker 6: happens we do have six of those left that we,
• 41:40
Speaker 6: can use and you would say would be a traditional.
• 41:43
Speaker 6: Snow day so six days that we do.
• 41:46
  Speaker 7: Have that we.
• 41:47
Speaker 2: Could, use okay let me ask a quick question because
• 41:49
Speaker 2: we had a text or for, this, question supertendent and
• 41:51
Speaker 2: then we'll let you GO because i know you got
• 41:52
Speaker 2: to get back. To work they were. Asking them, you
• 41:54
Speaker 2: know temperatures are not predicted to change the rest of.
• 41:57
Speaker 2: The week actually they're going to. Go down are there
• 42:00
Speaker 2: plans to go ahead and help parents do their planning
• 42:02
Speaker 2: by making an announcement for the rest of. THE week,
• 42:05
Speaker 2: i mean how's that gonna how's that? Gonna work are
• 42:07
Speaker 2: we even? THERE yet a very.
• 42:09
Speaker 6: Good question and we review all of the information every
• 42:14
Speaker 6: day to see we look at the, weather forecast we
• 42:17
Speaker 6: get specific updates From The National weather service. For superintendents
• 42:21
Speaker 6: but it could be very much likely that we may
• 42:25
Speaker 6: be DOING an ntid Tomorrow. And friday that because we
• 42:30
Speaker 6: will evaluate that and we try to get that information
• 42:33
Speaker 6: out just as early, as possible usually around three or. Four,
• 42:35
  Speaker 6: pm YEAH and.
• 42:36
Speaker 2: I know parents appreciate that because, you know they got
• 42:40
Speaker 2: a plan for daycare and they got to plan. For
• 42:42
Speaker 2: it and plus you brought up a really. Good point
• 42:44
Speaker 2: is a lot, of, times unfortunately and this is Not A,
• 42:46
Speaker 2: putnam county this is all across. The country if the schools,
• 42:49
Speaker 2: aren't open the kids don't. Get fed and at least in,
• 42:53
