- 0:22Speaker 2: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:26Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey
- 0:31Speaker 2: Trenholm and Raj Sharma.
- 0:34Speaker 3: We will get.
- 0:35Speaker 2: To some laughs, but it's important that we touch on
- 0:41Speaker 2: one of the biggest stories over the last couple of days,
- 0:44Speaker 2: and that is legendary director, writer actor Rob Reiner and
- 0:50Speaker 2: his wife were found murdered in their home and the
- 0:55Speaker 2: initial reports were that it was a family member, and
- 1:00Speaker 2: then more and more details started coming out, and then
- 1:03Speaker 2: it was their daughter that found their bodies, and she
- 1:06Speaker 2: had told the police looking to disturbed family member, and
- 1:11Speaker 2: then it eventually came out that it was believed that
- 1:14Speaker 2: their son.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Had slipped their throats.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I don't know any sort of a motive or anything
- 1:21Speaker 2: at this point, but she did tell the authorities go
- 1:26Speaker 2: find the brother. And Raj, you said, it looks like
- 1:28Speaker 2: they've they've got him in custody.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Yeah, they arrested him on a different felony count for
- 1:34Speaker 4: something else, but I think they now have charged him
- 1:36Speaker 4: with the.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Blohopsa well, and evidently he's had a long history of
- 1:41Speaker 1: addiction and yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, a little bit of the uh.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And shockingly, just typically TMZ is on point on these things.
- 1:55Speaker 1: But People Magazine from huh almost the very beginning said yoh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the brother the basically came out said the brother did it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And it seems like they were tmzs.
- 2:08Speaker 5: That's it sounds terrible to say, what I trust them.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Uh, Michael Jackson death was when to me, they absolutely
- 2:19Speaker 1: they like they were right hours ahead of everyone else. Oh.
- 2:23Speaker 4: When CNN was like, Michael Jackson I had a heart
- 2:25Speaker 4: attack and TMZ was like he's dead, I was like, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 4: he's dead.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It is an odd thing to realize that TMZ is
- 2:36Speaker 2: an actual trusted news source. And you're right, Trey, on
- 2:40Speaker 2: two fronts. Number one, they were on point. Sorry I
- 2:45Speaker 2: had to point that out because you said point anyway.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And the other thing is that it's amazing that TMZ
- 2:51Speaker 2: showed more journalistic restraint than People Magazine did.
- 2:55Speaker 1: People now like it is the kid get the kid. Well,
- 2:59Speaker 1: he's like, let's let's make sure we have this. And
- 3:03Speaker 1: but I remember because I was shocked when I saw
- 3:06Speaker 1: people and then I actually a few times I click
- 3:09Speaker 1: on the link and read the article, and they seemed
- 3:12Speaker 1: very confident that their sources were absolutely correct. And you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: the Brothers is the prime suspect and had.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Don Lemon as well.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Don Lemon as well as as I was watching him
- 3:24Speaker 4: on Instagram, he called it hours before CNN or Fox
- 3:29Speaker 4: or anybody.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm always fascinated when lawyers get involved in TV.
- 3:34Speaker 3: You know journalists.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I say TV because TV's really uptight when it comes
- 3:39Speaker 2: to this stuff. The print journalists, they're very responsible, radio
- 3:45Speaker 2: people and other media. I think there we have a
- 3:48Speaker 2: little more reality on our side. What I'm getting at
- 3:50Speaker 2: is this TV people and lawyers will hammer, hammer, hammer,
- 3:55Speaker 2: We don't know for sure. Make sure you use that word.
- 3:58Speaker 2: You have to use that word. You have to say allegedly,
- 4:01Speaker 2: otherwise they're going to come get us. It's very rare
- 4:05Speaker 2: that happens. First of all, if you're reporting on it,
- 4:08Speaker 2: using the word alleged doesn't shield you from any sort.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Of legal liability. It doesn't. That is a fallacy.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, you can say alleged all you want, but
- 4:19Speaker 2: if you're saying a bunch of other stuff around it,
- 4:21Speaker 2: that makes it sound like you think somebody did it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That's what's going to get you in trouble. Saying alleged
- 4:27Speaker 2: doesn't get you. It's not a get out of trouble
- 4:29Speaker 2: card kind of a situation.
- 4:32Speaker 5: I didn't know that.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It's kind of like saying no offense, but well, that
- 4:36Speaker 2: means you're about to offend somebody.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Well yeah, and.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Dan, you can correct me if but from what I've read,
- 4:43Speaker 1: what I understand one of the it's like you can
- 4:45Speaker 1: say alleged suspect and you have some cover there. If
- 4:50Speaker 1: you say a legage, you know, allegedly double murdered, you know,
- 4:54Speaker 1: by slitting throats there his parents, that could get you
- 4:57Speaker 1: a little more hot water if you're incorrect.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, And I have a little bit of experience
- 5:02Speaker 2: with this because at one point someone we all know
- 5:06Speaker 2: got arrested and the lawyers at the company were like,
- 5:09Speaker 2: you got to be careful what you say, Like you
- 5:11Speaker 2: really think he's gonna sue us, You think that he
- 5:15Speaker 2: has all the time in the world to worry about
- 5:18Speaker 2: what was said.
- 5:20Speaker 1: No, this is.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And that's what I'm getting at is it's just interesting
- 5:26Speaker 2: to see how so many people can be so buttoned
- 5:29Speaker 2: up and so worried about a lawsuit when it's like,
- 5:31Speaker 2: you know what, the person you're worried about suing you
- 5:33Speaker 2: is so consumed with other problems right now. They're not
- 5:35Speaker 2: listening to what you say on the radio. They're not
- 5:37Speaker 2: seeing whether or not you use the word allegedly properly.
- 5:42Speaker 2: If you come out and say they did it and
- 5:44Speaker 2: they didn't, then yeah, you're gonna be in trouble.
- 5:49Speaker 3: So I just want to put that out there anyway.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Rob Reyner, director, writer, producer, actor, known for It All
- 5:58Speaker 2: in Hollywood. He and his wife, Sheell, where stabbed to
- 6:01Speaker 2: death in their home on Sunday. As we just said here,
- 6:04Speaker 2: they have the son in custody. According to the initial stuff,
- 6:11Speaker 2: he and his wife reportedly suffered lacerations consistent with a knife.
- 6:15Speaker 2: At the time, it was an ongoing investigation. Woman's investigation
- 6:18Speaker 2: is still ongoing. Sources say they were murdered by their
- 6:20Speaker 2: thirty two year old son Nick. They also share another son, Jake,
- 6:25Speaker 2: and a daughter, Roamy, and Rob also has a Tracy
- 6:29Speaker 2: from his first marriage to Penny Marshall, adopted daughter. Rob
- 6:33Speaker 2: was born in nineteen forty seven to a Stelle and
- 6:36Speaker 2: Carl Reiner. Began his career as Steve Martin's writing partner
- 6:39Speaker 2: on The Smothers Brother's Comedy Hour in nineteen sixty eight.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They were the youngest on the staff. Two years later,
- 6:46Speaker 2: he joined All in the Family as Archie Bunker's liberal
- 6:49Speaker 2: son in law. Michael Meetead Stivick. His directorial debut This
- 6:54Speaker 2: is Spinal Tap in nineteen eighty four, directorial debut, and
- 6:59Speaker 2: he knocked out a park with one of the greatest
- 7:01Speaker 2: movies of all time, My.
- 7:02Speaker 4: God, yeah, Sleepless in Seattle, A few good men, some
- 7:08Speaker 4: of the greatest movies.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Out there when Harry met Sally, also the also the
- 7:12Speaker 2: American President. Oh so many, so many great you know,
- 7:20Speaker 2: projects that he was a part of or led and
- 7:25Speaker 2: definitely a shocking stories that you don't see every day.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Didn't he just do Spinal Tap two? Is that the
- 7:31Speaker 5: one that just came out? Yeah?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, according to IMDb, it's finished. It hasn't been released yet,
- 7:36Speaker 2: but it is finished, and uh so a lot of
- 7:39Speaker 2: people are looking forward to to that.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, you could have had.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Just being known as meathead from All in the Family
- 7:48Speaker 2: was already just a feather in your cap that you
- 7:50Speaker 2: could live on the rest of your life because you're
- 7:52Speaker 2: talking about an iconic show and him being the foil
- 7:56Speaker 2: to Archie on that show was so good.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, my dad hated him.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I think lots of dads hated him.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah, my dad loved Archie Bunker. He was like, he's
- 8:10Speaker 4: he's a man of the people, and I'm like, he's
- 8:12Speaker 4: the most racist, misogynistic, antisemitic human being on the planes.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Like I know, I love him.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I'm like, I almost would like tell your dad, like
- 8:22Speaker 2: you realize Archie would have hated you, right, because he wouldn't.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Want you to living next door, Dad, there would be
- 8:29Speaker 5: way too many Curry jokes.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Uh uh.
- 8:34Speaker 2: But yeah, just a very shocking story out of out
- 8:37Speaker 2: of Hollywood. And you know it's it's you know, people
- 8:43Speaker 2: die every single day, and but you know when someone
- 8:45Speaker 2: that is had such an influence on you know, Hollywood
- 8:49Speaker 2: and some of the some of the great films that
- 8:51Speaker 2: I've loved in my life, like we just mentioned some
- 8:54Speaker 2: just now you're like a few good men the American President.
- 8:58Speaker 2: When Harry met Sally, which is where he met around
- 9:01Speaker 2: the time he met his wife, who was murdered.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Along with him.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I read a story earlier today that they originally had
- 9:08Speaker 2: a different ending for when Harry met Sally and when
- 9:13Speaker 2: Rob met who would eventually become his wife, Michelle.
- 9:17Speaker 3: They changed it.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Huh okay, So I thought that was I thought that
- 9:23Speaker 2: was pretty cool and just a just a sad and
- 9:25Speaker 2: tragic ending.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it rings up there with I still
- 9:29Speaker 4: remember where I was when Phil Hartman died. Oh yeah,
- 9:34Speaker 4: uh that kind of ranks up there in the same
- 9:36Speaker 4: uh level of tragedy and sadness.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because you know, when I initially saw, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 2: a photo of Rob Ryaner, I was like, Oh, did
- 9:46Speaker 2: he die or is it some sort of updated this
- 9:47Speaker 2: is final tap. I would have thought if it was
- 9:50Speaker 2: a death announcement then it would have been some sort
- 9:52Speaker 2: of more natural thing, not you know, stabbed to death
- 9:56Speaker 2: in his home along with his wife kind of things. So,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's it's definitely a shocking headline and
- 10:00Speaker 2: same thing like you mentioned with Phil Hartman that was
- 10:02Speaker 2: also shocking because anytimes gets murdered, well, I mean it's
- 10:05Speaker 2: it's a surprise. Yeah, but I feel so bad for
- 10:12Speaker 2: you know, their kids, especially with the daughter that found them.
- 10:15Speaker 2: That's just got to be a horrific thing that you
- 10:17Speaker 2: probably never But let's transition as seamlessly as possible from
- 10:23Speaker 2: bad news to some good news.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Bonnie Blue got her way out of jail and Bali.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Hey how about that? Yeah?
- 10:32Speaker 3: Gee, I wonder how she made that happen.
- 10:36Speaker 1: What was that?
- 10:37Speaker 2: She had like one two hundred something guys in twelve hours.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I wonder if she broke.
- 10:41Speaker 3: That record while in Bali prison.
- 10:45Speaker 2: As I imagine, you can probably squeeze in quite a
- 10:47Speaker 2: few Indonesians in those cells.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Oh yeah, in those walls.
- 10:53Speaker 5: That's a lot of scissoring.
- 10:56Speaker 3: That thing looked like a clown car.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I can't verify this because it's from a couple of
- 11:07Speaker 2: shady news sources. One is the Daily Star, but this
- 11:10Speaker 2: says Bonnie Blue says, I'm rich. I was never going
- 11:13Speaker 2: to jail, as she laughs off Bali deportation. And then
- 11:17Speaker 2: another one from the South China something news outlet that
- 11:21Speaker 2: I never heard of had something similar. So I can't
- 11:24Speaker 2: if I'm going to say this, but I'm going to
- 11:26Speaker 2: defer to the somewhat more reliable New York Post on this.
- 11:33Speaker 2: They say she's returned to British soil and she's broken
- 11:37Speaker 2: her silence about being deported from Bali and banned for
- 11:40Speaker 2: ten years following a run in with authorities. The twenty
- 11:44Speaker 2: six year old point I can't talk to these last
- 11:46Speaker 2: couple of shows. The twenty six year old porn star
- 11:50Speaker 2: whose real name is Tea Billinger, was involved in a
- 11:53Speaker 2: dramatic incident in Bali in recent weeks when police rated
- 11:56Speaker 2: a rented studio and detained her along with a group
- 11:58Speaker 2: of international travelers. The case, which involved seizing cameras, vehicles
- 12:03Speaker 2: and other equipment. I guess the story was that she
- 12:06Speaker 2: was going to do some sort of like Bali bang
- 12:08Speaker 2: Bus type of deal, misattracted worldwide media attention and led
- 12:12Speaker 2: to speculation she could face significant jail time due to
- 12:15Speaker 2: Indonesia's strict antipe pornography laws. They said no pornographic activities
- 12:21Speaker 2: or actually been found in the collaborative content that was
- 12:24Speaker 2: according to a local Balie news outlet the other day.
- 12:28Speaker 2: They were supposedly when they were raided playing a game
- 12:32Speaker 2: where the winner some type of sex game where the what's.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That tray hide the wienie?
- 12:41Speaker 2: Something tells me she'll find it every single time, playing
- 12:46Speaker 2: a sex game where.
- 12:49Speaker 3: The winner would sleep with Bonnie Blue.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Although headline suggested she could face up to fifteen years
- 12:56Speaker 2: in prison and a fine of over half a million
- 12:58Speaker 2: dollars in the deeply religion country, she was instead fined
- 13:02Speaker 2: twenty dollars for a traffic violation involving her infamous bang
- 13:07Speaker 2: Bus vehicle and deported from the island.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Look. I don't know.
- 13:13Speaker 2: What lawyer she had, but that's a good one. I mean,
- 13:18Speaker 2: you go from facing fifteen years in prison and over
- 13:21Speaker 2: a half a million dollars in fines and you get
- 13:24Speaker 2: it dropped down to a twenty dollars moving violation ticket.
- 13:28Speaker 3: That is some serious lawyering.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Her registration was out, that thing inspected.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know if she going clear customs.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I wish you guys would whenever we get a chance.
- 13:47Speaker 4: One day, I'll take you guys over to India and
- 13:50Speaker 4: you can see how corruption is just in your face.
- 13:52Speaker 5: It's so great, it's so phenomenal to watch.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Uh.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Like, literally, I could kill you in the street and
- 13:59Speaker 4: if I had enough money, nobody would ever know.
- 14:02Speaker 2: So. Okay, but but if if we are in India,
- 14:06Speaker 2: let's let's play out this scenario. Okay, let's really lived
- 14:09Speaker 2: in our minds for a moment. All right, Okay, So, Raj,
- 14:12Speaker 2: you are a first generation American.
- 14:15Speaker 3: You were you were?
- 14:15Speaker 2: You grew up in Mesquite, Texas? Did Trey and I
- 14:20Speaker 2: also grew up in Texas? But only two of us
- 14:24Speaker 2: look like we grew up in Texas. So you, RAJ,
- 14:27Speaker 2: want to take me and Trey to India, murder us
- 14:32Speaker 2: and then throw some cash at the local police, and
- 14:35Speaker 2: you expect us to be surprised by that.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I am not.
- 14:39Speaker 3: The twist would be.
- 14:41Speaker 2: If Trey and I take If Trey and I kill
- 14:43Speaker 2: you in India and we throw money at the police
- 14:46Speaker 2: and they're still cool with it, that would be surprising.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Oh, they'd be more cool because you're white.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Really would look.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I would think they would hate it if we were
- 14:55Speaker 2: killing you know, you know, fellow, what of their own
- 14:57Speaker 2: or whatever?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Even though we're from Texas.
- 15:01Speaker 5: We were ruled by the.
- 15:01Speaker 4: British for four hundred and fifty years. They love you, guys.
- 15:05Speaker 4: You have no idea how much they love white skin.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Are you saying that they miss a little bit of
- 15:10Speaker 2: that oppressive monarchy type stuff?
- 15:12Speaker 4: Bleaching cream is real. There's there's a cream called fair
- 15:15Speaker 4: and Lovely and it's to bleach your skin.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Oh no, I've I've seen Sammy Sosa.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, ROJ. Let me ask this question if would
- 15:27Speaker 1: they still love us if we said we're broke.
- 15:30Speaker 5: No, that's called jail.
- 15:40Speaker 3: No Indian prison. Here we come.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Online dot com.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Indian law enforcement and Dallas women have something in common.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Money talks and bullshit.

- 16:13Speaker 2: website cookdfw dot com. We talked on a recent episode
- 16:17Speaker 2: Daniel on my television. It suggested to me I should
- 16:20Speaker 2: watch the film Christmas Twister. I will say, based on
- 16:25Speaker 2: the artwork, I was very intrigued. But after watching the trailer,
- 16:31Speaker 2: man that is I can That's as much as I
- 16:36Speaker 2: can say. I mean, that is some terrible performances and
- 16:41Speaker 2: those are the ones that they put in the trailer.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Well, Dan, that's scary because if you which we all
- 16:47Speaker 6: know who listened to the show, you will give a
- 16:50Speaker 6: lot of leniency toward bad movies. So if you're the
- 16:54Speaker 6: one that's saying, WHOA, this is going to be awful,
- 16:58Speaker 6: I'm really scared.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I have not heard of that movie at all.
- 17:01Speaker 6: But if I'm gonna trust that if you're the one
- 17:03Speaker 6: saying that I'm definitely not gonna go look it.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Up, I'll send you a link to the trailer.
- 17:08Speaker 2: If you're a fan of Starship Troopers, I think I
- 17:11Speaker 2: just said Starship Troopers. Starship Troopers like Starship Troopers. This film,
- 17:17Speaker 2: Christmas Twister, also stars Casper Van Dean.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I am not a Starship Trooper fan. That movie was
- 17:24Speaker 5: so ridiculous.
- 17:25Speaker 6: I can hardly get through it. I kind of got
- 17:27Speaker 6: mad at myself that I stood there and waited and
- 17:29Speaker 6: watched it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I think that's part of the reason.
- 17:31Speaker 2: There was just something about it at the time, and
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm like, why do I love this movie?
- 17:35Speaker 3: It's just dumb and.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Dumb, And it's one of those that it's kind of
- 17:44Speaker 2: it's kind of morphed into a comedy, so like, if
- 17:46Speaker 2: I watch it now, it's hysterical, especially when Neil Patrick
- 17:51Speaker 2: Harris's character comes on for those little commercials. It's like,
- 17:54Speaker 2: as they're torturing this alien life for him, but like
- 17:57Speaker 2: want to.

- 19:31Speaker 2: In my mind, she comes over Trey's wearing one of
- 19:34Speaker 2: those frilly aprons and nothing else, just covered in flower
- 19:43Speaker 2: so you can see.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Him snickerdoodle.
- 19:52Speaker 1: What I banked all day Saturday, snickerdoodles and and and
- 19:58Speaker 1: they're good. I' ever since I got this kitchen aid mixer. Man,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm I'm a I'm a man on fire when it
- 20:04Speaker 1: comes cooking.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And I'd say, you're on fire, all right, I'm kidding.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I'm happy for you. I think I think this needs
- 20:17Speaker 2: to be championed.
- 20:18Speaker 3: You need to be.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Put up on a pedestal for all to see, not
- 20:22Speaker 2: just because this is what can happen when you turn
- 20:24Speaker 2: your life around after fighting addiction, but also so we
- 20:27Speaker 2: can see up your skirt.
- 20:30Speaker 1: So, uh yeah, baked. And then she came over and
- 20:34Speaker 1: day let me ask you this question. Uh, have you
- 20:37Speaker 1: watched plane, trains and autmobiles.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Like recent?
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, like even with the last ten years.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Uh No, it's on it's currently on my need to
- 20:49Speaker 2: rewatch list because we just watched John Candy documentary and don't.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Do you remember it fondly? Yes?
- 21:01Speaker 5: Then don't watch it again?
- 21:02Speaker 1: Not watching it? Does it not hold up?
- 21:05Speaker 2: No, not at all, not even the not even the
- 21:08Speaker 2: the that's those aren't pillows scene.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's not really I mean it's just number one. He
- 21:18Speaker 1: realized Tommy Boy really ripped off playing trains and Automobiles,
- 21:22Speaker 1: But Tommy Boy, in a lot of ways did it better.
- 21:24Speaker 5: Yeah. Really, yeah, you're trying.
- 21:26Speaker 2: You're trying to tell me that Chris Farley and no
- 21:28Speaker 2: disrespect to him at all, because he's phenomenal, but Chris Farley,
- 21:32Speaker 2: David Spade.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I mean, look at the juxtaposition, right, I mean, it's
- 21:36Speaker 4: better than Candy, Steve Martin.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 21:39Speaker 2: It's like you're trying to tell me that Chris Farley
- 21:40Speaker 2: and David Spade were better at the same thing than
- 21:44Speaker 2: Steve Martin and John Candy.
- 21:48Speaker 4: I I think it's because Farley and Spade understood how
- 21:53Speaker 4: absurd the movie was going to be, and they weren't
- 21:56Speaker 4: trying to sell it as an atch movie, which is
- 21:58Speaker 4: if you watch plant I I was telling, Oh, I
- 22:01Speaker 4: watched it the other day and I couldn't get past
- 22:03Speaker 4: the first ten minutes.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Really, yeah, it's just not good.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That is really disturbing.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Brandy, being the good sport she is, she looked over
- 22:15Speaker 1: at me at the end and she was smiling, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: I was like, I'm sorry, I like it did not
- 22:24Speaker 1: that does not hold up to what I thought it was.
- 22:25Speaker 1: She goes, okay, good because it was cute in parts,
- 22:28Speaker 1: but otherwise, you know, not good. And I was like,
- 22:30Speaker 1: that's pretty much sums it up.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, See, now I'm afraid because now I feel
- 22:37Speaker 2: the need to go back and watch some other movies.
- 22:40Speaker 3: And then this is not the first time this has happened.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I mean this.
- 22:42Speaker 2: The first time I recognized something not holding up was
- 22:46Speaker 2: when CMT, you know country music television, when they started
- 22:51Speaker 2: airing reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard back in like
- 22:53Speaker 2: the early two thousands, and I was.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Like, oh, this is cool.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna watch Dukes of Hazard again. This is before streaming,
- 22:58Speaker 2: so you couldn't just watch it whenever you wanted.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Uh.
- 23:01Speaker 2: So I started rewatching Dukes of Hazard and and and
- 23:04Speaker 2: my roommate Brian and never watching it, and we were like,
- 23:06Speaker 2: oh my god, this was awful. How did our parents
- 23:08Speaker 2: watch this with us?
- 23:09Speaker 3: This is a.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Garbage hot dumpster fire of a television show.
- 23:13Speaker 3: It really is terrible.
- 23:14Speaker 2: That was the first time, and it's happened some since.
- 23:17Speaker 2: But Planes, trains and Automobiles is one of those that
- 23:21Speaker 2: I just assumed would hold up.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Whenever I watch it again.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I listen I because last week she had never seen
- 23:29Speaker 1: the ref we watched that that holds up. It's still funny,
- 23:32Speaker 1: you know. I just great performances, but planes, trains and automobiles,
- 23:38Speaker 1: even the scenes I remembered as being hysterical.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Yeah, no, there's just nothing.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And and maybe because so much of it what was
- 23:50Speaker 1: new then we've seen so many times I can't you know.
- 23:54Speaker 1: It's not like the performances are bad. I mean obvious,
- 23:57Speaker 1: it's Steve Martin and John Candy, they're they're great, But
- 24:01Speaker 1: it just it was very disappointing, like it live in
- 24:05Speaker 1: your mind.
- 24:07Speaker 2: So it was Would you still say it was great
- 24:10Speaker 2: in its time?
- 24:14Speaker 1: Yes, because we hadn't. But like I said, the thing
- 24:19Speaker 1: that struck me more than anything else is hey, how
- 24:23Speaker 1: much Tommy Boy really ripped off plane, trains and automobiles?
- 24:27Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 24:28Speaker 1: But that also they did it better where a lot
- 24:32Speaker 1: of it where John Candy was more subdued in things
- 24:35Speaker 1: and Chris Farley was over the top. But that over
- 24:38Speaker 1: the top I think was funnier in the circumstances.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 24:42Speaker 2: So it's like like with Tommy Boy, they decided to
- 24:45Speaker 2: go over the top with the crazy pride falls antiqs
- 24:48Speaker 2: comedy side of it, whereas Planes, trains and Automobiles had
- 24:52Speaker 2: some light moments, but it was supposed to be, at
- 24:54Speaker 2: the end of the day sort of a touching film.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Have you also if you ever get a chance to
- 25:01Speaker 4: watch he hal again, oh you'll see.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I know that doesn't hold up.
- 25:07Speaker 3: There's none that does not hold up.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I think he knew it was bad, That's what and
- 25:15Speaker 2: that's what made it. Yeah, that and that was I
- 25:17Speaker 2: think that was what made he Haw funny, was the
- 25:19Speaker 2: fact that they knew it was bad and they just
- 25:21Speaker 2: kind of went with it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You're like, air Wolf holds up better than than plane,
- 25:26Speaker 1: trans and automobiles.
- 25:32Speaker 5: It doesn't. That's a terrible show, you know what.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I bet it does, And that's the soul. The sole
- 25:41Speaker 2: reason for that is Ernest borg nine.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Well, heng on, let me get me say so much
- 25:45Speaker 5: credibility to.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I never watched Airwolf and thought, man, that's great acting.
- 25:50Speaker 1: It was just the helicopter was cool and it still is.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Are they rebooting it? Uh, they're gonna do that crossover?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, They're supposed to have some sort of
- 26:04Speaker 2: with a new night Rider deal Airwolf may be involved
- 26:07Speaker 2: and from the guys that did Cobra Kai, Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it's gonna be uh, that's gonna be interesting.
- 26:14Speaker 1: God.
- 26:14Speaker 2: What we were just watching something the other day and
- 26:17Speaker 2: the A Team van was in the background.
- 26:21Speaker 3: God, what was that? And no one called it out
- 26:24Speaker 3: or anything.
- 26:24Speaker 2: It was just in the background, just there, And I'm like,
- 26:27Speaker 2: how did I not notice that before it just broke down?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Were you watching the Roku TV screensavorite thing?
- 26:37Speaker 5: No?
- 26:37Speaker 2: No, this was an actual wait no, it was an
- 26:42Speaker 2: actual show or a movie and in the background, and
- 26:45Speaker 2: I've seen it before. I've seen I've seen the show
- 26:48Speaker 2: with the movie before, but I didn't notice it, and
- 26:50Speaker 2: this this time I seen in the background over some characters.
- 26:58Speaker 1: What a horrible time to froze up.
- 27:00Speaker 4: But in my head how this works. It's like it's
- 27:04Speaker 4: just in the background and then just mister T gets
- 27:07Speaker 4: out like he's been sleeping in it the whole time.

- 28:33Speaker 2: Before we jump into our final story of the day
- 28:36Speaker 2: about a cruise from Hell, Trey said you had one
- 28:40Speaker 2: more thing to throw at me.
- 28:41Speaker 1: So, yeah, a while back, I referenced this a little
- 28:44Speaker 1: bit in the last segment I made fun of you.
- 28:48Speaker 1: It was when you were talking about watching the DVD
- 28:51Speaker 1: icon try to get in the corner of a TV
- 28:53Speaker 1: bouncing around, which I still say is abjectly dumb. But
- 29:01Speaker 1: you also reference watching the Roku screensaver, and I'm gonna
- 29:04Speaker 1: have to say, Brandy and I found ourselves because we
- 29:09Speaker 1: had been talking and so it paused something and then
- 29:11Speaker 1: it went to the Rokue screensaver. All of a sudden,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I started noticing that whole thing is just like little
- 29:16Speaker 1: bits of the stuff, like all of it, like you know.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Then you're like, oh, that's the Ghostbusters place and that's
- 29:22Speaker 1: you know this and that. So I will say, I
- 29:26Speaker 1: apologize to you for making fun of you that for
- 29:29Speaker 1: doing that, because that is app just it's just little
- 29:33Speaker 1: easter eggs all all throughout. And then you try to
- 29:37Speaker 1: start playing of all right, let's fine figure out all
- 29:39Speaker 1: the movies.
- 29:40Speaker 3: So right, while I still say is fun.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yes, the DVD thing is abjectly retarded, but the Roku
- 29:50Speaker 1: screensaver is entertaining.
- 29:54Speaker 2: It's the same thing, Trey, It's the same thing, just
- 29:58Speaker 2: like twenty five years.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Of Part No.
- 30:01Speaker 1: One. It's actually like a trivia contest. You're trying to
- 30:04Speaker 1: figure it out. One is like a mouth breathing idiot
- 30:08Speaker 1: just watching to see if the DVD symbol gets in
- 30:10Speaker 1: the corner.
- 30:11Speaker 2: See that is the game? Yeah, you just wait, that's
- 30:13Speaker 2: what happened back in the day. You watched to see
- 30:15Speaker 2: if the icon would line up and hit the corner,
- 30:17Speaker 2: and when it did, it was like our version of
- 30:19Speaker 2: six to seven back then.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Now, by the way, did you start this when these
- 30:26Speaker 1: what classes they put you in instead of classes?
- 30:31Speaker 4: What one is trivia? The other one is to see
- 30:34Speaker 4: if your riddling's working. My dosage was off to answer
- 30:40Speaker 4: that question. I don't know when my first foray was
- 30:45Speaker 4: into watching the DVD video icon land in the corner,
- 30:49Speaker 4: But to me it was sort of a progression of pong.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Like pong, you know the back and the forth on
- 30:54Speaker 4: the Atari, it's a similar thing. It's just a slow
- 30:57Speaker 4: back and forth and then just waiting to see is
- 30:59Speaker 4: this thing ever go line up and hit the corner.
- 31:01Speaker 4: We didn't have all the entertainment at our fingertips back
- 31:06Speaker 4: then that we do today.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Hey Dan, remember we're five years older than you. So
- 31:11Speaker 1: you eat me on that one, and I'm sorry you
- 31:16Speaker 1: watched pong. You play pong?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Well yeah, yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Now all of us controllers trade.
- 31:32Speaker 5: I'm gonna make you a teacher that just says I watched.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Pong Pong watcher.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Well that was back in the day when like, if
- 31:43Speaker 2: you weren't playing, someone else was playing, you just just
- 31:46Speaker 2: watched it. So I mean, my sister might have been playing,
- 31:48Speaker 2: or my dad might have been playing. That's why I
- 31:50Speaker 2: was watching the pong anyway, it's it's the Roku thing
- 31:54Speaker 2: is more involved because it's it's like a game. It's
- 31:57Speaker 2: trivia seeing how many of these little things, these easter
- 32:00Speaker 2: eggs can I pick out as it all scrolls by.
- 32:04Speaker 2: My wife thinks I'm, you know, ridiculous for it. But
- 32:07Speaker 2: and you said I was ridiculous for it, and then
- 32:09Speaker 2: you and your girlfriend watched it and you loved it.
- 32:11Speaker 7: So.
- 32:13Speaker 1: And again I apologize for the Roku. Now, do you
- 32:15Speaker 1: have a question when you were watching Pong? Did you
- 32:19Speaker 1: have like a cup that caught the drool?
- 32:23Speaker 5: Did you want a helmet the bib?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Did you look like Rupert? I'm glad you And by
- 32:32Speaker 1: the way that movie was on, that movie holds up.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the one I'm worried about.
- 32:37Speaker 2: When I was saying earlier before my power crashed, when
- 32:40Speaker 2: you were saying plain strings and automobiles does not hold up,
- 32:43Speaker 2: I was worried, does dirty Rotten Scoundrels not hold up.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Dirty rotten Scoundrels absolutely holds up. They well they did
- 32:52Speaker 1: it with they did a female version. It was just
- 32:56Speaker 1: and I it was okay, But yeah, I don't know
- 33:01Speaker 1: who you would get to do it. But yes, that
- 33:03Speaker 1: movie absolutely holds up.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Just bring Michael Kane back. I don't think you know
- 33:09Speaker 4: to at this point. He was brought out by Vin Diesel.
- 33:15Speaker 4: That's when you know dementia's kicked in. When that's your buddy.
- 33:18Speaker 1: What's the woman's name in that.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Oh, it's been so long, I couldn't even tell you.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I can't even see your face.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Glenn Headley, She she is under to be underrated in
- 33:32Speaker 1: that movie. She really is the one that pulls it together.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But no, that movie is still fantastic.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Okay, I'm glad for that.
- 33:39Speaker 2: To answer your question from earlier, though, Trey, No, I
- 33:42Speaker 2: didn't have a drool cup.
- 33:43Speaker 3: That's what the carpet was for.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And Raj No, I didn't have a helmet because personal
- 33:48Speaker 2: helmet technology wasn't a thing in the eighties yet.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Like your Burger King crown, I did have that. I
- 33:58Speaker 3: did have a Burger king.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Is that you who just watching some pong one of
- 34:05Speaker 1: the old the old paper McDonald's hans.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I didn't do that. I didn't do that.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I did go to Pizza Hut, though, and I got
- 34:13Speaker 2: all the I think it was Pizza Hut that had
- 34:14Speaker 2: the promotion for the Land Before Time, uh movie, the
- 34:19Speaker 2: dinosaur cartoon.
- 34:20Speaker 3: They had like the little rubber hen puppets. I had
- 34:22Speaker 3: all those.
- 34:24Speaker 5: Oh huh nice? That was that your make a wish?
- 34:29Speaker 3: Well, that took work. I had eat a lot of
- 34:30Speaker 3: pizza to get those.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Oh. I want to be friends with Fat Dan.
- 34:39Speaker 2: All right, final story of the day, if we can
- 34:41Speaker 2: squeeze this in, uh, partly because it's kind of timely,
- 34:45Speaker 2: not that we live on the.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Edge of timeliness, but you know it. Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Anyway, speaking of consuming too much, a Royal Caribbean passenger
- 34:55Speaker 2: who died was served thirty three drinks. That's according to
- 35:00Speaker 2: new lawsuit. Michael Virgil, a cruise ship passenger, died in
- 35:03Speaker 2: custody on the cruise ship after being detained for unruly behavior,
- 35:07Speaker 2: including attempting to kick down a door. His family is
- 35:10Speaker 2: suing Royal Caribbean, claiming the cruise line over served him
- 35:14Speaker 2: with thirty three drinks, leading to his intoxicated state and
- 35:18Speaker 2: subsequent detainment. The family's attorney argues that both the overserving
- 35:22Speaker 2: of alcohol and security's physical restraint contributed to his death,
- 35:26Speaker 2: likening it to mechanical asphyxiation. So keep that in mind
- 35:30Speaker 2: the next time you get the top shelf drink package
- 35:33Speaker 2: on the cruise ship. Might it might be a good
- 35:36Speaker 2: idea to have a drinking buddy that will tap you
- 35:38Speaker 2: on the shoulder and say.
- 35:40Speaker 3: That's enough, or tells the bar staff he gonna die.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:47Speaker 4: I've only done one cruise and I was, you know,
- 35:51Speaker 4: the entertainment, like you know, performing on the of the cruise,
- 35:55Speaker 4: and there's no way I mean I saw people getting
- 35:58Speaker 4: a little overserved. They'd get cut off pretty yeah. So
- 36:01Speaker 4: thirty three drinks is an impressive feat.
- 36:05Speaker 3: It really is.
- 36:06Speaker 2: And the thing is like with these cruise ships, they're
- 36:07Speaker 2: so large, and it's it's a resort at sea, it's
- 36:11Speaker 2: a city at sea. There's not one bar, there's not
- 36:13Speaker 2: one tender.
- 36:15Speaker 3: They're all over the place.
- 36:16Speaker 2: So even if you get cut off at one, I
- 36:18Speaker 2: don't know if there's a system in place to have
- 36:20Speaker 2: you cut off at.
- 36:21Speaker 4: All at twenty, how do you even order Mike I
- 36:27Speaker 4: don't even know how you speak.
- 36:30Speaker 2: That's also an interesting point if if he was still
- 36:34Speaker 2: awake at thirty three drinks, that tells me they're not
- 36:37Speaker 2: over pouring. As far as the strength of the cocktail, right,
- 36:42Speaker 2: I wonder what the BAC was.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm sure they're measured with that. But having a little
- 36:49Speaker 1: experience with this, let me let me prosper an explanation.
- 36:58Speaker 1: He got up in the morning, brunched, brunched hard, little
- 37:03Speaker 1: pool time, so that right there, I think you're you're
- 37:06Speaker 1: good for fifteen to twenty. Oh really, Mimosa's, you know,
- 37:12Speaker 1: let's say, yeah, you can knock back six to ten
- 37:17Speaker 1: mimosas especially, but also glass size is a big thing.
- 37:21Speaker 1: And remember when say drinks, if they're going by an
- 37:26Speaker 1: actual definition, like a drink is like a one ounce
- 37:29Speaker 1: shot or it's not you know, it's not the loon
- 37:34Speaker 1: pores we're thinking of. But let's say did that eight
- 37:39Speaker 1: went and passed out, then got up and then went
- 37:41Speaker 1: on another bender. And I believe cruise ships go twenty
- 37:45Speaker 1: four hours a day, don't they.
- 37:46Speaker 4: They do, Yes, they do, so, you know, and they
- 37:50Speaker 4: have probably have a casino there, so you're probably sitting
- 37:52Speaker 4: at like, yeah, if you're somebody's bringing drinks there.
- 37:54Speaker 1: If you're up sixteen hours and you're you know, then
- 37:56Speaker 1: you're talking about two drinks an hour. You can see
- 38:00Speaker 1: where it's still it's bad, but it may not be
- 38:05Speaker 1: the you know, animal house bender that you're kind of
- 38:08Speaker 1: thinking of.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not like he's Belushi turning a jack bottle vertical.
- 38:15Speaker 2: You're right, because over a certain period of time, it's
- 38:20Speaker 2: very doable. And I like how Trey you gave us
- 38:23Speaker 2: a peek inside the alcoholic brain, not one of just
- 38:27Speaker 2: of knowledge, but of experience and sharing with us that, No,
- 38:31Speaker 2: you really can drink thirty three drinks at sea if
- 38:34Speaker 2: you want, but you still got to do it smartly,
- 38:38Speaker 2: spread them out over a little bit of a time frame,
- 38:42Speaker 2: like don't do it all inside of two hours or whatever.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I just.
- 38:49Speaker 2: I look, I've I'm a hard drinker, have been. I
- 38:55Speaker 2: cannot conceive anywhere I've ever been thirty three drinks at
- 38:59Speaker 2: a given time.
- 39:00Speaker 5: I'm just both even in that scenario like let's let
- 39:03Speaker 5: you start a brunch.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Oh, I've done that scenario, not with a cruise ship,
- 39:08Speaker 2: but I mean I've been to the resorts. I've been
- 39:10Speaker 2: to Cancun and player, and it's like, okay, it's swim
- 39:12Speaker 2: up bar day, and you start at breakfast and you
- 39:16Speaker 2: go all day, and maybe you take a nap in
- 39:18Speaker 2: the afternoon, and then you pick back up where you
- 39:20Speaker 2: left off your at dinner, and then you see how
- 39:22Speaker 2: late you go. But even then, I don't think I
- 39:26Speaker 2: would have I don't think I would have passed thirty.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I'd be surprised if I passed twenty. Oh you have
- 39:36Speaker 2: you have more faith than that.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Tray's like, I've had enough to drink with you. You
- 39:41Speaker 3: could easily hit more than twenty.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I'll tell you a night where by per definition of
- 39:45Speaker 1: drink as in a one ounce one ounces of liquor
- 39:48Speaker 1: is one drink, where you surpassed twenty drinks maps championship
- 39:51Speaker 1: party at the Loon.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I surpassed that in five drinks at the moment, May
- 40:01Speaker 2: she rest in peace. That's a shirt we should have made.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I outlived the loon, because that is a serious accomplishment.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, the loon didn't kill me.
