- Najah: I really don't understand how some people put so much weight on social media when it comes to relationships, connections and partnerships. Social media is basically reality TV for regular people. Everybody's posting edited moments. And even when people are being authentic, they still get to choose what they post, what they leave out, what angle they use, what caption they write, and whether to post it at all. It's curated. Meanwhile, real life is happening somewhere else. Real life is who calls you. Who texts you Who checks on you? Who makes time for you? Who follows through? Who wakes up every day and chooses you when nobody else is watching? so when I hear people say they judge the entire nature of a relationship based on likes, follows, comments, or what somebody does on social media. I genuinely don't get it. Because at the end of the day, I don't have to live with your social media account. I have to live with you. Those are two completely different experiences. Now if social media is important to you, that is your right. Everybody gets to have their own boundaries and standards. But that's the conversation that needs to happen in the beginning. because if you tell me, You're going to judge the quality of our connection? Based on what I do on social media? Baby, I'm probably tapping Not because you're wrong. But because we're measuring relationships with two different rulers. If social media is where your trust begins and ends. We're probably not looking for the same kind of connection.
