This passage is about halfway through the three years of Jesus’ ministry. At this point a lot of questions about Him were circulating within the chosen nation. There are six questions asked in this short passage. They were trying to figure out just who He was. Is He the Messiah or what? C.S. Lewis said no one could remain neutral concerning the person of Jesus: “He is either Liar, Lunatic, or Lord.” People back in Jesus’ day were pondering such things. Who is He?
