Pat McAleer is biking 5,000 miles from Washington State to Virginia Beach to raise funds and awareness for Breakthrough T1D, a cause deeply personal after his daughter Mary Kate was diagnosed with type one diabetes at age nine. Carrying just a gallon of water, a tent, and enough gear for a week, he’ll ride through stunning landscapes and major cities, joined by friends along the way. His mission?
