- 0:16Speaker 2: put up for his mouth. Dude, he's getting his permanence
- 0:18Speaker 2: put in his permanentee. So hopefully his his temporary stopped
- 0:23Speaker 2: falling out at nighttime. But anyway, he's got a full
- 0:25Speaker 2: day ahead of him, so the boy's not gonna make it.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We are about to break down. We got George Kittle

- 0:49Speaker 2: And we also get into March Madness the LSU Iowa

- 0:56Speaker 2: That, this podcast is brought to you by the One
- 0:59Speaker 2: the only Chevy Silverado football Season's football season is over,
- 1:03Speaker 2: March Madness is over, thank God. But that doesn't mean
- 1:05Speaker 2: we're gonna stop rooting for our favorite team. The Chevy
- 1:07Speaker 2: is franchise player. This Silverado a truck with unstoppable grit determination.
- 1:12Speaker 2: According to JD Power, Chevy trucks have earned more New
- 1:15Speaker 2: Vehicle Quality awards than any other brand out there. That's
- 1:17Speaker 2: some serious harwhare. That's why the boys got himself a
- 1:20Speaker 2: z R two Chevy Silverado. Head over to Chevy dot
- 1:22Speaker 2: com to learn more. The Silverado is as strong a
- 1:25Speaker 2: dependable as the people who drive them, like you guys
- 1:27Speaker 2: like myself, just gritty.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We gotta bleep that out.
- 1:31Speaker 2: For JD Power twenty twenty two US Award information, visit
- 1:34Speaker 2: jdpower dot com Forward Slash Awards. Boys, it was a
- 1:40Speaker 2: solid weekend. The little girl, she obviously she's she's one years.
- 1:45Speaker 2: One years old. Time absolutely flies. For everybody that's wondering
- 1:49Speaker 2: she is walking, We've seen about eight steps out of her.
- 1:52Speaker 2: We don't have to get her to turn int her
- 1:53Speaker 2: iPad in her playbook. You don't have to put her
- 1:55Speaker 2: up for adoptions. She is worthy of being in the family.
- 1:58Speaker 2: But the birthday party couldn't win any better. She had
- 2:00Speaker 2: a lot of fun. She had kind of that separation anxiety.
- 2:03Speaker 2: She's getting to that age where you know, new people
- 2:05Speaker 2: come in and she doesn't want to be try and like,
- 2:07Speaker 2: let you know, your dad and our parents and other
- 2:09Speaker 2: people hold her and she's kind of like gripping you stronger.
- 2:13Speaker 2: But all in all, a very good when year old
- 2:16Speaker 2: birthday party and also a celebration of just being a
- 2:18Speaker 2: parent for a year like that. Shit is wild, bro,
- 2:21Speaker 2: my wife celebrating her after having that forty something hour
- 2:24Speaker 2: laboring experience.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But yes, we will.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Do babies get like cake or is it like a
- 2:31Speaker 3: baby friend? Like, do they get like cake like we
- 2:33Speaker 3: would eat on a bird?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yes, So there's just like smash there's something called the
- 2:37Speaker 2: smash cake and uh, Charles's dad, her grandpa made her
- 2:42Speaker 2: a smash cake, this little double aired thing. It's kind
- 2:44Speaker 2: of her first time getting into the just having something
- 2:47Speaker 2: like that, getting the sugar involved and everything else. She
- 2:49Speaker 2: has fruit and all that fun stuff, but it was
- 2:50Speaker 2: her first time, her first little cake eating experience.
- 2:53Speaker 1: She's a little hesitant at first.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I'm whipping the icing up with the finger and trying
- 2:56Speaker 2: to like you give it to her and she's like
- 2:57Speaker 2: shaking her head no, and then she kind of you
- 2:59Speaker 2: kind of force it on her lip for a second,
- 3:01Speaker 2: sounds weird and she realizes, Yo, this shit kind of
- 3:05Speaker 2: hits and then she just starts digging in. It was awesome.
- 3:07Speaker 2: The boy you know, fell me on Instagram on the
- 3:09Speaker 2: score Will Compton. You see some flicks on the gram.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But yeah, they have something called a smash cake and
- 3:14Speaker 2: they just get in and dig in, bros. Just a
- 3:16Speaker 2: normal cake, basically, I think.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I don't know why they call it a smash cake
- 3:20Speaker 2: other than just like you can smash it. Really the
- 3:24Speaker 2: ship we grew up on vegetable oil and old oil,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Just making a flour based
- 3:28Speaker 2: sugar rush cake.
- 3:31Speaker 4: You're gonna make her follow some sort of weird diet
- 3:33Speaker 4: growing up. Like, are you gonna say, like no sugars.
- 3:35Speaker 2: No, No, I mean I don't think I'll do that.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I think I'll be we'll be conscious of what you know,
- 3:41Speaker 2: she puts in her body and just hopefully try and foundationally.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I guess, teacher, you can't really teach kids like they're
- 3:47Speaker 2: just fucking little animals. But dude, I go back and
- 3:51Speaker 2: forth on that because you know not that not to
- 3:53Speaker 2: throw the word woke around, but we have way more
- 3:55Speaker 2: access to to nutrition these days. Like people can get
- 3:58Speaker 2: well versed on how healthy everything is, and we're all
- 4:01Speaker 2: starting to learn more from documentars and everything else, how
- 4:04Speaker 2: bad some of this processed sugar, all the all the
- 4:07Speaker 2: nut oils and everything else that are out there that
- 4:09Speaker 2: can like cancer calls and just bad for you overall. Right,
- 4:12Speaker 2: Like when we're growing up and in high school and
- 4:15Speaker 2: you're trying to gain weight, like your coach is telling
- 4:17Speaker 2: you eat three peanut butter sandwiches before you go to bed,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and you're you're eating a whole wheat wonderbread, thinking, oh,
- 4:22Speaker 2: I'm getting the good shit because now I'm gonna be
- 4:24Speaker 2: healthy only to get to college. And then you learn
- 4:27Speaker 2: that like enriched wheat flour is the is the enemy,
- 4:31Speaker 2: and enriched wheat flours in like the whole wheat bread, right,
- 4:33Speaker 2: so then you start trying to find that real whole
- 4:36Speaker 2: wheat out there.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Then you kind of learn about gluten and like you
- 4:38Speaker 1: learn about all.
- 4:39Speaker 2: This shit, but your boy, like growing up, like grow
- 4:42Speaker 2: up in small town Missouri, we're eating fucking anything, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: if I'm gonna sit here and be like, am I
- 4:47Speaker 2: gonna be super conscious? Like I'm gonna be conscious about it,
- 4:49Speaker 2: but I'm not gonna be some like strict dad, like
- 4:51Speaker 2: you can't do X, Y and Z, Like she's gonna
- 4:54Speaker 2: have her her cakes or smash cakes and shit like that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: But I feel like I'll be a little bit more
- 4:59Speaker 2: conscious about maybe the ingredients per se. So it's like
- 5:03Speaker 2: she wants cake, how can we make a healthier cake? Right,
- 5:08Speaker 2: like use the good flowers, the good oils. Like, so
- 5:11Speaker 2: let's see if you can turn something out like Pinterest
- 5:13Speaker 2: and Instagram, like some of these people out there have
- 5:15Speaker 2: of recipes that just look off the chains and if
- 5:18Speaker 2: it can taste anything remotely like it, It's like, why
- 5:20Speaker 2: not go the healthier route? But I'm not gonna be
- 5:22Speaker 2: a stickler like your boy. I would leave my grandparents'
- 5:24Speaker 2: house slamming four sodas and then they have like three.
- 5:27Speaker 2: However a minute, I could fit my pockets on the
- 5:29Speaker 2: right home because we didn't carry like sod at the house.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Not only a health thing, we just didn't carry sod
- 5:34Speaker 2: at the house, you know what I mean. Or I
- 5:36Speaker 2: go over to a friends and just launch cereal into
- 5:39Speaker 2: my mouth because I'd be like, oh, you can have
- 5:40Speaker 2: cereal midday or late at night, Like we only got
- 5:43Speaker 2: to eat one bowl cereal in the morning for just breakfast.
- 5:46Speaker 2: So it's like, you know, they're gonna do what they
- 5:48Speaker 2: do when they go somewhere else. Anyway, I feel like
- 5:50Speaker 2: it's more of just I guess being conscious of it
- 5:53Speaker 2: and then maybe teaching them as they get older.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But they're fucking kids, man, They're gonna do with their thing, well,
- 5:57Speaker 1: like what's.
- 5:58Speaker 3: The new ingredient that's like popular right now that in
- 6:00Speaker 3: ten years they're gonna be like, yeah, that actually wasn't
- 6:02Speaker 3: that healthy for you, because what was it?
- 6:05Speaker 5: Ten years ago?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Kale was like the rage and healthy superfood, but apparently
- 6:10Speaker 3: kale cuts your stomach lining like for some reason, it's
- 6:13Speaker 3: not as healthy for you. And before the whole explosion
- 6:17Speaker 3: of kale, one of my buddies told me this this weekend,
- 6:20Speaker 3: the largest consumer of kale, or like a purchaser, was
- 6:24Speaker 3: Pizza Hut forever because it was the like the dressing
- 6:28Speaker 3: around the pizza.
- 6:29Speaker 5: They would come on the platter. I don't know if
- 6:31Speaker 5: you remember that.
- 6:32Speaker 3: I'd be like this green stuff that came around the
- 6:34Speaker 3: pizza and apparently pizza was the number one or not
- 6:38Speaker 3: producer consumer. I guess a purchaser of kale and up
- 6:43Speaker 3: until then, like no one fucked with kale.
- 6:46Speaker 1: That's a good point, Like who knows what the new
- 6:48Speaker 1: fat is gonna be.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of like data and stuff
- 6:51Speaker 2: is usually five to ten years later. Yeah you know
- 6:53Speaker 2: what I mean. Uh so I have no fucking clue.
- 6:57Speaker 2: But all to say is like I'm not gonna be
- 6:58Speaker 2: some strick dad. I am conscious of that stuff at times,
- 7:01Speaker 2: but then I like try and check myself immediately, like hey, brother,
- 7:04Speaker 2: like you grew up drinking canola oil, like it's gonna
- 7:07Speaker 2: be all good.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Like you're too, You're just fine.
- 7:09Speaker 2: You got time drinking that hose water and stuff, exactly
- 7:11Speaker 2: drinking that hose water out there, like rolling around, like
- 7:14Speaker 2: just doing the most shit, like Bonta, Missouri, not to
- 7:17Speaker 2: ship on the not to ship on the hometown. But
- 7:20Speaker 2: the small town people of small town America like you
- 7:22Speaker 2: fucking you know what I mean, gas station's food.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You loved it.
- 7:27Speaker 6: So anyway, since a Cerulians now one, is there a
- 7:31Speaker 6: moment that stands out to you from the past year.
- 7:33Speaker 7: I hate to put you on the spot like that,
- 7:35Speaker 7: but is there a moment that stands out? Yeah, over
- 7:38Speaker 7: the over the past year.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Man, It's like it's like the whole cliche of like
- 7:42Speaker 2: time flies, like it just does bro all the dad
- 7:45Speaker 2: Like it's a lot of this stuff like being a
- 7:48Speaker 2: dad like I posted yesterday, Like it's just indescribable.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Like people talk about wanting to have kids and everything else,
- 7:54Speaker 1: and every parent tells.
- 7:55Speaker 2: You, you know, whether you know you're trying to get
- 7:58Speaker 2: your boy to go out and they have a kid,
- 8:00Speaker 2: like oh you'll know one day, or when you're thinking
- 8:02Speaker 2: about having kid, and they're like, oh, the love you
- 8:03Speaker 2: have for a kid, like, oh you'll know one day,
- 8:05Speaker 2: or it's just it's truly indescribable until you're just in it,
- 8:08Speaker 2: Like the amount of joy and loving your heart that
- 8:10Speaker 2: gets created when your kid comes. And then as they age,
- 8:14Speaker 2: like every month seems to get better and better because
- 8:17Speaker 2: they get more personality, they get you know, little mannerisms,
- 8:21Speaker 2: and you know it's just the fucking best. And then
- 8:24Speaker 2: you want to slow down because you know, at some
- 8:26Speaker 2: point in time they're not gonna want you. They're not
- 8:27Speaker 2: gonna need you as much anymore, which is gonna hurt
- 8:30Speaker 2: us more than it hurts them, because you think of
- 8:32Speaker 2: us growing up like you were always ready to be
- 8:34Speaker 2: an adult.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You thought your parents were always just trying to hold you.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Back from being great, or from hanging at your boy's house,
- 8:40Speaker 2: or like just getting in trouble.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Basically, all you want to do is just go back
- 8:43Speaker 4: now and not have to worry about any of that shit.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I know, yeah, now we want to travel back in
- 8:47Speaker 2: time or relive it because you just know how easy
- 8:49Speaker 2: it is. But just all of the man like, it's
- 8:51Speaker 2: just dude, it's just a fucking blast. I'll tell you
- 8:54Speaker 2: this though, Like you know how your boy was pre
- 8:56Speaker 2: rue didn't want a boy. When the pink thing came
- 9:00Speaker 2: off out of the cake, I was like, yeah, I
- 9:02Speaker 2: didn't want a girl.
- 9:03Speaker 1: My fault. I didn't want a girl. I wanted a boy.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Wanted that Willie Earl comped in the fourth and then
- 9:08Speaker 2: when that pink came out of the cake, I was like, fuck, dude,
- 9:11Speaker 2: and I was gonna I was trying to intentionally be
- 9:12Speaker 2: that dude, like yeah, I'm not just gonna pivot and
- 9:15Speaker 2: act happy. When I knew the whole time, I just
- 9:17Speaker 2: wanted a boy. But I'll tell you what, having room, man,
- 9:20Speaker 2: it makes me not care if the next one's even
- 9:21Speaker 2: a girl. Like having a girl being a girl, Dad's
- 9:23Speaker 2: fucking awesome. I know having your little boy would be dope,
- 9:27Speaker 2: but Rue has like, uh, it's just cool, man, it's
- 9:32Speaker 2: really cool. You're the third, right, William Earl Compton, the third.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It was your dad Bill growing up, or Poe was Bill.
- 9:40Speaker 2: My dad was Billy and then my grandparents wanted to
- 9:44Speaker 2: call me little Billy and my mom was like, fuck no,
- 9:47Speaker 2: like you were not shut up. He's not gonna be
- 9:49Speaker 2: little Billy walking around, just a little Bill.
- 9:53Speaker 4: And so if you have if you end up having
- 9:55Speaker 4: a boy, will you go like, will you just go
- 9:57Speaker 4: by Willie?
- 9:58Speaker 1: Or I think I'm gonna do Liam. You're gonna end
- 10:02Speaker 1: it with you? No, no, no William.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Because there's like, you know, the the boys that are
- 10:08Speaker 2: named Liam, like some of their full some of their
- 10:10Speaker 2: first full name is William, the last four L I
- 10:14Speaker 2: A M. Liam might just go by Liam.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Actually that's pretty cool. Well, we're dabbling with a couple names.
- 10:20Speaker 2: It's the first time I've actually thought about maybe I
- 10:22Speaker 2: get away from the fourth, probably not if my wife's
- 10:24Speaker 2: listening to this right now, Like I'm strong on, we're not.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I'm not moving. The heels are digging in the ground
- 10:30Speaker 2: for William. Earl the fourth, you know what I mean,
- 10:33Speaker 2: I just think it's fucking cool, man. I just think,
- 10:35Speaker 2: like having the what is this suffix or the Roman numerals,
- 10:40Speaker 2: what's it called. I'm trying to think when you click
- 10:42Speaker 2: on the when you're filling out for like a flight
- 10:44Speaker 2: information or something, you're trying to put the third.
- 10:47Speaker 1: That little number at the end.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I thought, I just think it's cool and Earl, Like
- 10:50Speaker 2: I used to fucking hate it Earl growing up, and
- 10:52Speaker 2: now I think it's sick low key.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I kind of want to go by Earl the fourth
- 10:55Speaker 1: is like, it's not just you have the IVY then.
- 10:58Speaker 2: The IVY bro. Yeah yeah, but I don't know it'll
- 11:02Speaker 2: be it'll be cool. I'm the boy. I'm gonna start
- 11:04Speaker 2: dropping the troops off, you know what I mean. We're
- 11:05Speaker 2: gonna start the boys are gonna start coming out of
- 11:07Speaker 2: the helicopter in hot here pretty soon, and we're gonna
- 11:09Speaker 2: see what we can we can make shake for this
- 11:11Speaker 2: kid number two.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It'll be two hundred two.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It'll be a little chaotic, but that's kind of the
- 11:15Speaker 2: you know, that's kind of the route we wanted to go.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, grow up together.
- 11:19Speaker 2: That's why I also, I wouldn't care if it's a
- 11:20Speaker 2: girl too, you get or one of my boys was
- 11:22Speaker 2: telling me the other day he didn't care if it
- 11:23Speaker 2: was too Like it was like, hey, what do you
- 11:25Speaker 2: want a boy or girl?
- 11:25Speaker 1: And he was like, I don't care. Uh shout out
- 11:27Speaker 1: the boy, coldenwigger.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But it was two boys or two girls, as long
- 11:30Speaker 2: as I get two in the same just so they
- 11:32Speaker 2: can grow up really good friends.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And I'm not saying like a boy and girl can.
- 11:35Speaker 2: It's just like, you know, you got somebody who you're
- 11:37Speaker 2: gonna hang out with a whole time, so it doesn't
- 11:39Speaker 2: matter to me. It's like, I selfishly want a boy
- 11:43Speaker 2: because if I get two girls, like we're thinking about
- 11:45Speaker 2: three kids. But if I get two girls and I'm
- 11:47Speaker 2: fucking surrounded by females, like, that's when the dads shell up.
- 11:50Speaker 2: They get quiet over time, you know what I mean.
- 11:53Speaker 2: That's when they start to not speak as much anymore.
- 11:55Speaker 2: They're overtaken. I've seen it happen. It's a sad thing,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and then one day you basically have to wait and
- 12:00Speaker 2: there's a friend or a boyfriend or they're going to
- 12:02Speaker 2: marry somebody that like, oh, finally a fucking dude in
- 12:04Speaker 2: my life.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I can open up a little bit more. Maybe my
- 12:06Speaker 1: opinion does matter.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But we're spending a lot of time on talking to
- 12:11Speaker 2: kids stuff, love the family vibes, rufs one years old.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Ohio State. We went to Ohio State last week. That
- 12:17Speaker 2: was a great time. I know the boy Jerry, he
- 12:19Speaker 2: was kind of hosting us around. He's a little weary
- 12:21Speaker 2: about us at first until we made a lot of
- 12:23Speaker 2: common connections. But the Ryan Day interviews out that went
- 12:26Speaker 2: really good. He shouted out how Nebraska was the twenty
- 12:30Speaker 2: twenty one Huskers were has been the best three win
- 12:33Speaker 2: team he has ever seen in college football. You guys
- 12:35Speaker 2: can check that interview out. Coach Heartline, Brian Hartline, he
- 12:38Speaker 2: was an absolute stud in the league draft in the
- 12:40Speaker 2: fourth round, white boy receiver, getting it how he lives, dude,
- 12:43Speaker 2: Miami Dolphins. He played for Miami. Had a few I
- 12:46Speaker 2: think he had I think he had three. I don't
- 12:49Speaker 2: want to put that number out there. Multiple thousand yard
- 12:52Speaker 2: seasons never wanted to coach in his life, got conned
- 12:54Speaker 2: back into going back to his alma mater, Ohio State
- 12:57Speaker 2: to coach. He absolutely loves it. You can tell he's
- 12:59Speaker 2: a competitive son of a bitch, dude. You just see
- 13:02Speaker 2: when he talks everything else but again, coach Day, Coach Hartline.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And then we interviewed Paris Johnson, who's gonna be a
- 13:08Speaker 2: top who's gonna be like a top ten, top twenty
- 13:11Speaker 2: pick in this upcoming NFL draft. He was really cool
- 13:14Speaker 2: to stitd out to sit down with. The dude is
- 13:16Speaker 2: an absolute tank. He's twenty one years old, potential as
- 13:18Speaker 2: high as he doesn't have a ceiling dude, and he
- 13:21Speaker 2: were pulling for him now. He's one of the boys.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Went in an awesome time that night at Seesaw. It
- 13:26Speaker 2: was Seesaw incredible time at Seesaw. We sold out crowd,
- 13:29Speaker 2: We had a lot of fun, We did the little
- 13:31Speaker 2: Chuck bit, We did a lot of fun stuff. Also,
- 13:34Speaker 2: like I forget his name, but shout out one of
- 13:37Speaker 2: the boys who just after the show, he had like
- 13:40Speaker 2: tears in his eyes.
- 13:41Speaker 1: His dad was is about the past.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Shout out the boy, and the boy just wanted to
- 13:47Speaker 2: hug because he was just fired up just to listen.
- 13:49Speaker 1: It's like stuff like that.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Reactions like that is like, is a good reminder on
- 13:54Speaker 2: doing the podcast and everything else. And the boy, it
- 13:57Speaker 2: was a strong hug. You could tell he was in
- 13:59Speaker 2: and you could tell he was super happy to be there.
- 14:01Speaker 2: But we're going to LSU this week. Shout out the
- 14:04Speaker 2: LSU women's basketball team. We're celebrating the natty at Fred's
- 14:08Speaker 2: Bar and Grill. We still got tickets. I assume we
- 14:10Speaker 2: sell tickets. That's been one of our lowest selling spots.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's all good, Like Jocko willing Good didn't sell a
- 14:16Speaker 2: lot of tickets.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Good, you suck. People don't like you. Good.
- 14:20Speaker 2: More time to do, more work, put into the crowd.
- 14:22Speaker 2: We got to build our base down there. Jack, You
- 14:23Speaker 2: got any words of encouragement?
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we've heard a word that LSU's a
- 14:28Speaker 3: town that's fly by the see of their pants, last
- 14:31Speaker 3: minute type cats.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You gotta appreciate it.
- 14:34Speaker 3: They say that the line's gonna be crazy buying tickets
- 14:37Speaker 3: at the door, and that makes it a little nervous.
- 14:39Speaker 3: But if if they do show out, that's gonna feel good.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Absolutely, And it's like at the end of the day,
- 14:46Speaker 2: Like it's part of the gig. Sometimes you're gonna hit
- 14:48Speaker 2: some adversity, you're gonna hit some bumps the row. Bill
- 14:50Speaker 2: Berry talks about doing shows for eight bucks. For a show,
- 14:53Speaker 2: eight people would be there.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 14:54Speaker 2: His little motivational speech was, everybody start like you get
- 14:57Speaker 2: humbled along the way if we if we're fucking performing
- 14:59Speaker 2: in in front of seven people, it'll be the best
- 15:01Speaker 2: goddamn show with those seven people in our lives. We
- 15:03Speaker 2: might just sit in a circle and I'll have to
- 15:04Speaker 2: do a podcast ourselves, you know what I mean. We're
- 15:07Speaker 2: not gonna shy away, just like, what's the worst that happened?
- 15:09Speaker 2: What's the worst thing that would happen if nobody showed up.
- 15:13Speaker 2: We have a good time, We have a good time.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Maybe our ego gets bruised a little bit. Yeah, but
- 15:17Speaker 2: it's like that said, that's you know, hey, that shit
- 15:20Speaker 2: happens at times.
- 15:21Speaker 1: The ego is gonna get bruised every now and then.
- 15:23Speaker 2: But that's probably the worst thing that can happen, is
- 15:26Speaker 2: what I'm thinking, Because what you just stand up there
- 15:28Speaker 2: like maybe it's just you guys.
- 15:29Speaker 4: I mean, we have like thirty people under like thirty
- 15:32Speaker 4: tickets sold, there's been Yeah.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Last night check there were twenty nine tickets sold, which
- 15:36Speaker 2: is the lowest, Like we've sold north of one fifty.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I feel like at every show but LSU maybe they're
- 15:43Speaker 2: a fly by the sea of their pants. Maybe they
- 15:45Speaker 2: just needed the LSU women's basketball team and win a
- 15:47Speaker 2: Natty to start pubbing it a little bit more.
- 15:50Speaker 7: But we'll be down there. We'll be hey for everybody
- 15:52Speaker 7: who buys the VIPs too.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Were doing a little crawfish boil before, do a little
- 15:56Speaker 2: mean greet, we get a professional photo, we do all
- 15:59Speaker 2: that fun stuff. Every stop has been a great time,
- 16:01Speaker 2: and I hear nothing but great things about Fretz Bar,
- 16:04Speaker 2: Like even if afterwards we're just to hang out and
- 16:06Speaker 2: we just want to party with everybody else, not even
- 16:09Speaker 2: we'll say we're hosting the party. But at the end
- 16:10Speaker 2: of the day, people just want to go to Fred's
- 16:12Speaker 2: because I hear it's a good time. But Fred's I
- 16:15Speaker 2: think will just be a great time.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Did we go over?
- 16:18Speaker 4: Like, where does Ohio State rank compared to the first
- 16:20Speaker 4: two stops.
- 16:21Speaker 2: South Carolina and Texas as far as what you got
- 16:25Speaker 2: to give categories? Because when you look at let's just
- 16:29Speaker 2: say food right, love the barbecue in South Carolina.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Texas loved the bar we had barbecue South Carolina. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: oh yeah yeah. The home team, Oh yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Home team. That was a good spot. Texas barbecue Terry
- 16:42Speaker 2: Terry Blacks, that was fire. But Warrios man worried that
- 16:46Speaker 2: Warrios sandwich again because I'm not a big I'm not
- 16:49Speaker 2: a big Ohio chief state guy, and Warrios is fire.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I think I would have to give the edge to
- 16:55Speaker 2: Ohio State there just based on the experience, Like barbecue,
- 16:57Speaker 2: I'm all about, like I'm a little connoisseur in barbecue.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So just Terry Blacks was awesome.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I think the overall experience Terry Blacks, I think as
- 17:04Speaker 2: far as the Biden kind of being like wow, I
- 17:06Speaker 2: would say Warriors.
- 17:08Speaker 1: And I guess what's the next category hospitality?
- 17:11Speaker 2: Hospitality, I think you gotta go South Carolina one, Ohio
- 17:16Speaker 2: State two, Texas three. And I'm not saying Texas was bad.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I just think like we were limited in the things
- 17:22Speaker 2: we could do. We ended up getting along very well. Facilities.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I think you go Texas one, Ohio State two, South
- 17:28Speaker 2: Carolina three. In the stops we've been at.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Did we get to Did did you guys get like
- 17:33Speaker 4: a full tour of High State's facilities.
- 17:35Speaker 2: No, because we had three interviews, but also like we
- 17:38Speaker 2: saw some we saw some familiar faces there, so that
- 17:41Speaker 2: kind of took out of the experience. We kind of
- 17:43Speaker 2: we kind of lost our time because we wanted to
- 17:45Speaker 2: hang out more with the boys than we did want
- 17:47Speaker 2: to see the facilities or sell the weight room. We
- 17:49Speaker 2: saw long hallway, we saw the trophy stuff, like you
- 17:51Speaker 2: can just tell that campus, like their lacrosse field insane.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I don't know how lacrosse fields are around the country,
- 17:57Speaker 2: but that was like just the whole campus all around
- 18:00Speaker 2: on sports, like all of the sports sporting facilities was
- 18:04Speaker 2: was top notch. Like getting to see we're vable their
- 18:07Speaker 2: indoor is nice dated outdated, but getting to see like
- 18:11Speaker 2: you're around the tradition, Like I thought Ohio State was sick.
- 18:13Speaker 2: But that's why I play some number two and not
- 18:16Speaker 2: like one over Texas. Texas is just insane.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I guess not as it as Nebraska
- 18:20Speaker 1: the final the final one. I guess it is the
- 18:22Speaker 1: live show, live shows. I don't know what do you
- 18:26Speaker 1: guys think.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I think you guys are a better judge on the
- 18:28Speaker 2: live shows Live show is I give it to you
- 18:30Speaker 2: guys because I stay in my head on live shows
- 18:32Speaker 2: like it's all like.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Well, I've always very dependent on location, Like I will
- 18:36Speaker 3: put number three at South Carolina just because we were
- 18:39Speaker 3: a tin roof and it was like very like open space,
- 18:44Speaker 3: not that intimate. Yeah, and it was the first one,
- 18:47Speaker 3: but I'd probably put the Texas Live Show at number
- 18:50Speaker 3: one only because the Vulcan was like a very intimate place.
- 18:54Speaker 5: It was like where you would go to watch a
- 18:56Speaker 5: comedy show.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and apparently it's a spot you go to like
- 18:58Speaker 1: it's on Sixth Street.
- 18:59Speaker 3: A couple he saw the way we were treated there
- 19:01Speaker 3: and like the accommodations, the staff due they were fucking awesome.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Like every time I'd turn around, someone be like, hey,
- 19:08Speaker 3: do y'all like need some here, like need more food
- 19:11Speaker 3: or like what can we do to make your lives easier?
- 19:13Speaker 3: Even y'all's walk up song, they didn't have it, and
- 19:16Speaker 3: they like were like freaking out and they went like crazy,
- 19:20Speaker 3: got on the computer.
- 19:21Speaker 5: We're like downloading, like I llegal file of it, just.
- 19:24Speaker 7: To the download WI and wire to get that song going.
- 19:27Speaker 5: So I don't know I really enjoyed the Ohio State one.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and East Saw was nice. Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I think you got to go Texas one, Ohio State two,
- 19:35Speaker 2: South Carolina three.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I think it's like Texas is one because it's a
- 19:40Speaker 4: comedy club.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Correct, So it.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Had a real green like not like it had a
- 19:44Speaker 2: green room where you're seeing photos of comics who have
- 19:47Speaker 2: been there. You got the stage, you got the two
- 19:49Speaker 2: floors where people are even over top of you.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Yeah. The other two it was awesome. The other two
- 19:54Speaker 1: were just bars.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Yeah, like ten rough five is is like a chain
- 19:58Speaker 4: but like the Sea Song, it was like obviously it
- 20:01Speaker 4: was another bar, but they don't really have like a stage. Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 4: but I love Seesaw. I was definitely a really cool bar.
- 20:08Speaker 4: And like we had the most amount of people there
- 20:09Speaker 4: which were sick.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, I'm with that, dude. We need to
- 20:14Speaker 2: hit an av Rey Blossy. Let's throw up an Avery.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Get it in here, guys. We got about five oh
- 20:20Speaker 2: before we get in the Avery. We do gotta let
- 20:22Speaker 2: you guys know, we're going back to one episode a
- 20:24Speaker 2: week for the rest of April.
- 20:27Speaker 1: When we get in May, we will be getting back.
- 20:29Speaker 2: To twice a week for those four weeks in May,
- 20:32Speaker 2: we're gonna be off Memorial Week. I don't know if
- 20:35Speaker 2: that's news to you guys or not for the boys
- 20:37Speaker 2: in the back, but we are gonna be off Memorial
- 20:39Speaker 2: Week news. That's big news, right, That's big news for
- 20:43Speaker 2: the boys because you guys work your fucking ass off.
- 20:44Speaker 1: You guys really do.
- 20:45Speaker 2: We gotta and we're reeling in from two to one
- 20:48Speaker 2: because we've been going to since Super Bowl Week. The
- 20:50Speaker 2: boys in the back absolutely fucking grind. They don't bitch
- 20:53Speaker 2: about it a whole. They don't bitch about it much.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You know, every now and then Jack gets in a mood.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You never know it can come out. He doesn't get
- 21:01Speaker 2: into mooting complaints. But you just know the boys are
- 21:03Speaker 2: in it every day all day long. We get to
- 21:06Speaker 2: fly back Thursday mornings, Taylor and I get to go
- 21:08Speaker 2: get in a nap or whatever it is. The boys
- 21:10Speaker 2: got to usually come back and work because we're dropping.
- 21:13Speaker 2: When we drop on Tuesdays, we're shooting the episode or
- 21:15Speaker 2: intro on Monday. When we drop on Thursdays, we're shooting
- 21:18Speaker 2: the intro or episode on Tuesday. Because we leave at
- 21:21Speaker 2: the ass crack of dawn on Wednesday, do all the
- 21:23Speaker 2: Spring store stuff on Wednesday. Go hard after the live
- 21:26Speaker 2: show because the vibes are high, we're a little nervous.
- 21:27Speaker 2: You take the edge off of some tequila, and so
- 21:30Speaker 2: we have a good night. We have a good time
- 21:32Speaker 2: on Wednesday night. Then we get back Thursday. We fly
- 21:34Speaker 2: back Thursday morning and the boys come back and work
- 21:38Speaker 2: and then hopefully we try and figure out an episode
- 21:40Speaker 2: like Riley Green for the next week to where you're
- 21:42Speaker 2: not grinding on Monday and Tuesday. But all to days
- 21:45Speaker 2: the boys have been absolutely fucking grinding, and we were
- 21:47Speaker 2: trying to figure out a way. And the simple solution
- 21:49Speaker 2: is get back to one a week. They'll be releasing
- 21:51Speaker 2: on Tuesdays per usual. The month of May. We will
- 21:56Speaker 2: do two a week just for those four weeks in May,
- 21:59Speaker 2: and then we'll probably get back to a regular program
- 22:01Speaker 2: in the one week. So that way we can pour
- 22:02Speaker 2: more into vlogs, more into different content. Tight End used
- 22:05Speaker 2: coming to town doing more fun things out there. But
- 22:09Speaker 2: that's an update for you guys. Now for the real update,
- 22:11Speaker 2: everybody needs to go out there and get a haircut.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Sport Clip shout out the boys of sport Clips. No
- 22:15Speaker 7: free shoutouts.
- 22:16Speaker 2: It can be stressful to describe the kind of haircuts
- 22:18Speaker 2: you want, and even if you look like you got
- 22:20Speaker 2: it across, it's hard to know if your stylist can
- 22:23Speaker 2: really understand you. Too often hair care results in a
- 22:26Speaker 2: hair scare. Love that little play right there. Fortunately, stylists,
- 22:29Speaker 2: as sport clips haircuts speak the language of hair specifically
- 22:33Speaker 2: even men. You could say that they are fluent in fades,
- 22:37Speaker 2: littered in long locks, and just all around clippers confident.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Hey, these boys are fucking in their bag writing this ad. Read.
- 22:43Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if your hair is balding, okay or billowing?
- 22:48Speaker 2: What is billowing? Look that up?
- 22:50Speaker 1: Jack? You can throw in a little corners, I don't know,
- 22:54Speaker 1: look that up.
- 22:54Speaker 2: You'll drop in a little educational piece when we do
- 22:56Speaker 2: the call action at the end. It doesn't matter if
- 22:58Speaker 2: your hair is balding or billowing. Sport clips stylists or
- 23:00Speaker 2: black belts and cutting men's hair they're specifically trained to
- 23:04Speaker 2: do so. These pros are artists. You are the canvas,
- 23:07Speaker 2: and each of your hair follicles is the happiest of trees.
- 23:10Speaker 2: So sit back, relax. It's MVP haircut experience time. Boys
- 23:14Speaker 2: that means a seven pressure point massaging shampoo, a perfectly
- 23:18Speaker 2: steamed hotel, and the freedom to not have to stress
- 23:21Speaker 2: about a bad cut. Next time you need to cut,
- 23:25Speaker 2: come the sport clips and get a head turning haircut
- 23:27Speaker 2: from the pros in men's hair. Go find one near you.
- 23:31Speaker 2: That is an incredible adage. Shout out to whoever wrote
- 23:33Speaker 2: that thing. You guys are in your bag doing so jack.
- 23:36Speaker 2: What does billowing mean? Let's sol there's an educational piece
- 23:39Speaker 2: for everybody. It doesn't know like billowing.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Imagine like a like a smoke stack, like a plant,
- 23:45Speaker 3: like when the smoke is billowing out, it's going everywhere
- 23:47Speaker 3: and it's going out. So I think it's when your
- 23:49Speaker 3: hair like Look if I take my hat off, that's billowing.
- 23:53Speaker 5: That's as billowing.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Okay, oh it's just crazy looking hair like this. So
- 23:58Speaker 3: I need to go to the I gotta go to
- 23:59Speaker 3: the shop a little cut the pros from the pros
- 24:02Speaker 3: and men's are and we'll be back.
- 24:04Speaker 2: And that right there. You guys know, like we throw
- 24:06Speaker 2: in little wrinkles here and there. That's how you get educated.
- 24:08Speaker 2: This is also an educational podcast. I'm glad we all
- 24:10Speaker 2: learned what billowing was together. Let's move on to look right,
- 24:15Speaker 2: it's Tuesday. That means the March Madness Men's Final is tonight,
- 24:19Speaker 2: right on Monday. Look, thank god, March Madness is over.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Am all right, it's probably some people love March Madness.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I know I'm hitting a touching a little spot there.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Here's my thought about March Madness. I think March Madness,
- 24:30Speaker 2: the March Madness tournament. Your boy loves brackets, loves brackets,
- 24:33Speaker 2: a sixty four man bracket. I think March Madness is
- 24:37Speaker 2: the best fandom kind of tournament in the game. You've
- 24:42Speaker 2: got sixty four teams. We're all making our brackets, We're
- 24:45Speaker 2: putting ourselves. I even love the thought of making a
- 24:47Speaker 2: bracket and then you kind of see how it goes.
- 24:49Speaker 1: No one usually gets it right.
- 24:50Speaker 2: But as far as men's college basketball, I think it
- 24:53Speaker 2: is the most overrated sport out there. I think it's
- 24:56Speaker 2: the most overrated. That doesn't mean it's more overrated than
- 24:59Speaker 2: you'll say, like wrestling or some of these track sports
- 25:02Speaker 2: out there. I'm just saying it's overhyped because at the
- 25:05Speaker 2: end of the day, basically everyone gets in this tournament.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Fau was in the final four we're talking about a
- 25:10Speaker 2: nine seed. Anybody from one to sixty four. You're in
- 25:13Speaker 2: the tournament, and now we got playing games. You're allowing everybody,
- 25:16Speaker 2: anybody can win this fucking tournament too. Like we're not
- 25:19Speaker 2: watching the best of the best compete in the finals.
- 25:21Speaker 2: We're watching a four versus five, I believe, And in
- 25:23Speaker 2: the final four was a nine to five to five
- 25:25Speaker 2: and a four or nine four to four five.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Like it's like it's it's like if fau Fau had
- 25:30Speaker 1: a shot.
- 25:31Speaker 2: It's like somebody who fails all year long and just
- 25:33Speaker 2: because they passed their finals tests at the end of
- 25:35Speaker 2: the year means they're in the running for valedictorian.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I think it's a sham.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Fau is not failing all year You are going to
- 25:41Speaker 3: strike a nerve with people out there.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Good, good, good, that's what that's what. Yeah, that's what
- 25:46Speaker 2: we got it. That's what we got it. But all
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'm saying is everyone has an opportunity to win. Like
- 25:50Speaker 2: there's a lot of parody in collegemen's basketball, But again,
- 25:54Speaker 2: I think it's me personally, your boy. I think it's
- 25:56Speaker 2: the most overrated sport of the Big I mean, of
- 26:00Speaker 2: the Big Three, the Big Four, who fucking knows. I
- 26:02Speaker 2: think March Madness. I think March Madness is great for fans.
- 26:06Speaker 2: It's the best tournament for fans, But I think it's
- 26:08Speaker 2: the most overrated sport.
- 26:09Speaker 1: There's your fucking clip men's basketball or just college basketball,
- 26:14Speaker 1: We'll say men's. They look like, like I'm I'm talking
- 26:17Speaker 1: like NBA as well.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, I think I like when it's
- 26:19Speaker 2: playoff time in NBA, I think people are actually locked in, Like, uh,
- 26:23Speaker 2: I guess I'm just speaking for myself.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I'm not saying like NBA.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I just think like everyone gets so fucking hype for
- 26:29Speaker 2: March Madness, but truly, like the finals isn't a very
- 26:33Speaker 2: hyped event.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Like it's like I think basketball is overrated in general.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you, but I'm just saying like, just
- 26:38Speaker 2: because I'm talking about basketball, like I love watching, you know,
- 26:41Speaker 2: playoff basketball, just like any playoffs.
- 26:43Speaker 1: But March Madness.
- 26:44Speaker 2: You love day one, you love like Day one through five,
- 26:47Speaker 2: like the first couple of rounds because it's all sorting
- 26:49Speaker 2: itself out. But once you get into the final four,
- 26:51Speaker 2: unless there's some like rivalries happening or some some dogs
- 26:54Speaker 2: in there that are actually going for and they got
- 26:56Speaker 2: some some like number one overall pick or some top
- 26:59Speaker 2: five pick, and they're all duke in it out Like
- 27:02Speaker 2: unless they got that, there's not a lot of flair too,
- 27:04Speaker 2: Like who's in the final?
- 27:05Speaker 7: San Diego State and Yukon. I'm sure people are people
- 27:08Speaker 7: are gonna watch it. Like Jack, you can tell he's
- 27:10Speaker 7: about it. I know you've rooted for Tennessee hard, like
- 27:13Speaker 7: when you got your school in there, you're fucking pulling hard.
- 27:15Speaker 7: Nebraska's in there, your boy, all of a sudden. I'm
- 27:17Speaker 7: a basketball fan, right.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But all I am saying is I think when the
- 27:22Speaker 2: National Championship Game is being played, I don't think it
- 27:25Speaker 2: lives up to the hype at all whatsoever compared to
- 27:28Speaker 2: the magnitude of the start of March madness. Like when
- 27:30Speaker 2: you get the Super Bowl playoffs, NBA playoffs, Hockey playoffs,
- 27:34Speaker 2: all these other playoffs, right, all these other tournaments, people
- 27:37Speaker 2: get hype for that National Championship game. I don't think
- 27:40Speaker 2: overall you see that same amount of hypeness for when
- 27:42Speaker 2: you get the finals because everyone everyone loves making the brackets,
- 27:46Speaker 2: everyone will making And.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That's kind of my take on it.
- 27:49Speaker 2: How do you feel about I know you, like you're
- 27:51Speaker 2: somebody who likes college basketball. If JP or Garrett loves
- 27:53Speaker 2: college basketball, I love for tier their opinion as well.
- 27:56Speaker 2: But I'm just saying I think overall.
- 27:57Speaker 3: The fan, I like the Grizzlies like Tennessee, but like
- 28:01Speaker 3: I'm nowhere gonna just like be standing basketball.
- 28:04Speaker 5: But I definitely am not on.
- 28:05Speaker 1: The boat that is overrated.
- 28:06Speaker 3: The first few days of March Madness are some of
- 28:10Speaker 3: the best days in sports, like undeniably, especially when you're
- 28:14Speaker 3: in high school and you have cool teachers that will
- 28:17Speaker 3: let you throw the games on like maybe during lunch
- 28:19Speaker 3: or like a study hall and you've got like an
- 28:21Speaker 3: hour two with them.
- 28:23Speaker 5: That's a great one. But yeah, you got like an
- 28:25Speaker 5: hour two with.
- 28:25Speaker 3: The boys when you're like sixteen at school and you're like, dude,
- 28:28Speaker 3: fuck English class, like we're rooting for FAU, like they're
- 28:31Speaker 3: gonna make a run in this. And that's the beauty
- 28:34Speaker 3: of it because at the beginning of the bracket there's
- 28:36Speaker 3: nothing but hope. It's like my bracket may go the
- 28:39Speaker 3: whole distance, it be one hundred percent perfect, and within
- 28:42Speaker 3: three hours your bracket is shattered. But it's fun every
- 28:46Speaker 3: year because you don't have to know basketball to make
- 28:48Speaker 3: a bracket.
- 28:49Speaker 5: You just fucking pick whatever.
- 28:50Speaker 3: And a lot of the times, like whether it's like
- 28:53Speaker 3: one of your like girlfriends or a guy who like
- 28:55Speaker 3: doesn't ever watch it, they are throwing in crazy upsets
- 28:58Speaker 3: and you're like, that is so fucking stupid, and then
- 29:01Speaker 3: next thing you know, their bracket is on the way
- 29:03Speaker 3: to winning it.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 3: So that's the beauty of it. It's like there's anyone
- 29:06Speaker 3: can join in on the fun.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Ay, And look, I agree with you. I think that
- 29:11Speaker 2: speaks to the point of like it's the best tournament
- 29:13Speaker 2: for fans because you're right, those first few days teachers
- 29:15Speaker 2: this and that, but when it's when it gets to
- 29:17Speaker 2: the finals, the flame, the flames kind of died.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I agree, know what I mean, Like it's like all
- 29:20Speaker 1: the way up here, and then it's.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Like and when you say all the way up here,
- 29:23Speaker 2: I agree with Jack, those are some of the best
- 29:25Speaker 2: days of the year when it comes to sports again
- 29:28Speaker 2: for fans. I think it's fucking awesome. But you know,
- 29:32Speaker 2: I you know, I love thinking that this can cause
- 29:34Speaker 2: a little bit of chaos. But if you're listening to
- 29:35Speaker 2: this episode, I think I think people can sit there
- 29:37Speaker 2: and kind of like nod, and then maybe there's some
- 29:39Speaker 2: diary college basketball fans out there.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I'm not saying there's not.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I'm just saying overall, I think as the tournament goes,
- 29:44Speaker 2: the flame kind of dies.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:47Speaker 1: That's just my and you know that's I don't fucking
- 29:50Speaker 1: watch college basketball.
- 29:51Speaker 2: It's like I can stick the football play hey podcast,
- 29:53Speaker 2: we are rolling and all to say too, I think
- 29:55Speaker 2: women's college basketble is more entertaining than the men's this year.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I'm proud.
- 29:59Speaker 7: I agree. I didn't watch a lick of March madness
- 30:02Speaker 7: this year.
- 30:02Speaker 2: All of a sudden, fucking Twitter was going off about
- 30:05Speaker 2: this Caitlyn Clark chick. I didn't even know what she
- 30:08Speaker 2: looked like, none of this. I just see everybody's like,
- 30:10Speaker 2: you know, some chick must be going off in women's
- 30:12Speaker 2: college basketball. I would dethrones basically South Carolina. Well, South
- 30:17Speaker 2: Carolina one seed, yeah, forty two game wins, streak, never
- 30:20Speaker 2: supposed to be them. I know JP he was sulking
- 30:22Speaker 2: about South Carolina losing. But I see, all of a sudden,
- 30:25Speaker 2: this Caitlyn Clark is balling out there, and you kind
- 30:29Speaker 2: of look at some highlights and you're kind of like,
- 30:31Speaker 2: you're kind of you're kind of fired up to see
- 30:32Speaker 2: what the women's final looks like, the women's Steph Curry,
- 30:35Speaker 2: That's yeah, that's like what I'm seeing again, your boy.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I'm not watching a lick at basketball, but I'm seeing
- 30:40Speaker 2: all of a sudden, like, oh, there's some there's some
- 30:42Speaker 2: energy surrounding this game because it's Kaitlyn Clark. Chick apparently
- 30:45Speaker 2: is like this unanimous MVP in women's college basketball. And
- 30:48Speaker 2: you see these highlights She's throwing up shots midway between
- 30:51Speaker 2: half court and the three point line. So I start
- 30:54Speaker 2: to get in the women's college basketball drama. You know,
- 30:56Speaker 2: I've thrown a couple of jokes about women's basketball over
- 30:59Speaker 2: time on my Twitter career, But all of a sudden,
- 31:01Speaker 2: I'm bought in. I got a group chat. I got
- 31:05Speaker 2: a group chat going off. I'm talking about Huskers group chat.
- 31:07Speaker 2: There's about, you know, seven black dudes and two of
- 31:09Speaker 2: us white boys in there. And I see a couple
- 31:11Speaker 2: of my boys, one of them Nigerian. He's like he's
- 31:14Speaker 2: pro culture all the time. He's pulling for this white chick.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, if my boy's pulling for this white hit.
- 31:19Speaker 2: She must be nice. They're pulling for Iowa for the game. Like, okay,
- 31:23Speaker 2: we got people pulling for iowin this game.
- 31:25Speaker 1: So I go in.
- 31:26Speaker 2: I want to watch this game LSU versus Iowa, Like, hey,
- 31:29Speaker 2: let's get the national title to the Big Ten again, right,
- 31:32Speaker 2: So I get in and right out the gate, you know,
- 31:34Speaker 2: Twitter is going to be on fire because people are
- 31:36Speaker 2: not watching this women's basketball game.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Like women's basketball.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Women's basketball took a fat dub coming out of coming
- 31:43Speaker 2: out of their final. Now I know that's like a
- 31:45Speaker 2: little take me saying women's basketball is more entertaining than
- 31:48Speaker 2: the men's I'm saying that the ruffles and feathers and
- 31:50Speaker 2: everything else, but all in all, the most Improved Award
- 31:54Speaker 2: goes to women's college basketball. They got everybody talking about it,
- 31:56Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Especially, you got everyone just
- 31:59Speaker 2: losing their mind over this. You can't see me sports
- 32:02Speaker 2: spectacle where people are just pure competitors competing and shit
- 32:05Speaker 2: talking each other. Everybody's getting involved, you strow racing anything.
- 32:08Speaker 2: It's gonna bring millions of views to all of it
- 32:09Speaker 2: because everybody's losing their fucking mind. So right out of
- 32:12Speaker 2: the gate, you see LSU versus Iowa. I mean, everybody knows.
- 32:15Speaker 2: When these introductions happen, everybody's thinking the same thing. We
- 32:17Speaker 2: got five white girls versus five black girls. Like, everyone's
- 32:20Speaker 2: already thinking it. We're in their group.
- 32:21Speaker 8: Cha.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Everybody's having a good time with it. All of a sudden,
- 32:23Speaker 2: Fox News that's now have something to root for. They're
- 32:25Speaker 2: all of a sudden watching women's college basketball. Fucking all
- 32:27Speaker 2: of a sudden, just fist pumping. You're like, hey, dad,
- 32:30Speaker 2: what are you doing?
- 32:30Speaker 1: Is he Iowa?
- 32:32Speaker 2: Okay, let's let's take it easy. And then you get
- 32:36Speaker 2: into this game LSU. Hell of a game by LSU. Again,
- 32:39Speaker 2: I don't watch, I haven't. The best part is everybody's
- 32:43Speaker 2: losing their mind over this all of a sudden. Everybody
- 32:45Speaker 2: loves women's college basketball for a day, right because nothing
- 32:47Speaker 2: else is really on at the moment thatne's going on
- 32:49Speaker 2: besides women's college are March Madness in WrestleMania, but football's
- 32:53Speaker 2: out of the question. So everybody's putting all their eggs
- 32:55Speaker 2: in this women's called. Everybody's got an opinion on this shit.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Everybody's arms share quarterback in it. We watch this game,
- 33:01Speaker 2: I will get some foul trouble. Did you guys watch
- 33:04Speaker 2: the game?
- 33:05Speaker 1: Jack? Did you watch it?
- 33:06Speaker 5: Oh?
- 33:06Speaker 1: So I'm briefing you guys. Yeah, maybe I'm fucking.
- 33:09Speaker 5: I saw like the highlights and stuff, but I just
- 33:13Speaker 5: you just.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Saw a fourth quarter? Yeah, okay, so maybe maybe who knows.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I would love to see the viewership. I think they
- 33:18Speaker 2: fucking crushed it, but.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I'm about it. In this game.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I will get to the foul trouble early. Kayln Clark
- 33:22Speaker 2: one of the big girls. I don't know, they get
- 33:24Speaker 2: in foul trouble early. The LSU's bench is coming off
- 33:26Speaker 2: the benches, dropping bombs and dimes outside beyond the arc.
- 33:30Speaker 2: You got this gal going like six for six hits
- 33:32Speaker 2: a little buzzer beater. At a halftime, LSU's putting on
- 33:35Speaker 2: a fucking clinic like there's no chance that I was
- 33:38Speaker 2: got a shot. I always starts to chip away and
- 33:39Speaker 2: come back at the end. I know everybody's tuned in
- 33:41Speaker 2: to watch and see what Kaylyn Clark does. The gals
- 33:44Speaker 2: dropped over forty plus apparently in like, oh, what was
- 33:47Speaker 2: it like the last six games or some shit. I
- 33:49Speaker 2: don't I don't again, I don't fucking know. I'm just
- 33:51Speaker 2: watching it. For just the love of the game. I'm like, hey,
- 33:53Speaker 2: these girls got some got some shake to them. This
- 33:55Speaker 2: is going way different than I thought it might go.
- 33:58Speaker 2: You get to the end of the game. What's her name,
- 34:01Speaker 2: Angel Reese, Angel Ree She apparently she or not apparently
- 34:06Speaker 2: she does this.
- 34:07Speaker 1: You can't see me. She's chasing.
- 34:08Speaker 2: She's chasing Kaitlin Clark around like my one year old
- 34:11Speaker 2: with separation anxiety to try to get her attention to
- 34:13Speaker 2: taunting her face. I get it, but everybody losing their
- 34:16Speaker 2: fucking mind, especially like the whole race car comes in
- 34:20Speaker 2: like that's just sports.
- 34:21Speaker 1: That's just hard to hit it.
- 34:23Speaker 5: First though, first, hang.
- 34:24Speaker 1: On, hang on, hang on, hang on.
- 34:25Speaker 2: We'll get into that because I love that conversation too,
- 34:28Speaker 2: because I think ultimately you have to you have to
- 34:30Speaker 2: compartmentalize these things.
- 34:32Speaker 1: You have to put them into their own separate boxes.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Because me, I'm thinking, like I love that for the game,
- 34:38Speaker 2: like you need villains, and I'm not saying villain like
- 34:42Speaker 2: Angel Reese is some villain. I just love that she
- 34:44Speaker 2: was about her taunting because even Kaitlin Clark waved her
- 34:49Speaker 2: off at the three point line, like nobody go check her.
- 34:51Speaker 1: She and got it. And she hits a three like
- 34:52Speaker 1: she takes it. You're fucking competing.
- 34:54Speaker 7: You are in the arena, we got the chief seats,
- 34:57Speaker 7: we're on Twitter, everyone's got everyone's throwing their opinion out.
- 35:00Speaker 1: We're they're the fucking ones battling.
- 35:02Speaker 2: So she takes it as like a slight disrespect and
- 35:05Speaker 2: she knows her story. I don't, she says, after the game.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I'm hood, I'm this. I'm that everyone's kind of wrote
- 35:09Speaker 2: these stories about us all year or about me, like
- 35:11Speaker 2: I'm unapologetically myself. I don't know her story, but I'm thinking,
- 35:14Speaker 2: fuck yeah, go off, queen, Like, do your thing. If
- 35:16Speaker 2: you got this built up in your head, I get
- 35:18Speaker 2: that you won the national title. When you win the
- 35:21Speaker 2: national title, you have the right to celebrate however you want.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Whether or not it's my style or my flavorite doesn't
- 35:25Speaker 2: fucking matter.
- 35:26Speaker 1: You win. You do your thing, now, Jack.
- 35:29Speaker 2: If that is a here's what we can get into
- 35:33Speaker 2: and just talking about, like just let's just say sportsmanship.
- 35:36Speaker 1: And I hate fucking saying it because everyone talks.
- 35:38Speaker 2: About oh classlessness that Like, guys, look you all falling
- 35:42Speaker 2: into the traps that is Twitter. Your usual suspects are
- 35:45Speaker 2: out there, talking about Dave portinoy acho fucking RG three.
- 35:48Speaker 2: People are gonna do their thing to start building this car,
- 35:51Speaker 2: like Dave says, classless piece of shit, like all the
- 35:54Speaker 2: shit they like, you're your falling for the trap, Like
- 35:57Speaker 2: that's like the monster that is Twitter. Right, But let's
- 36:00Speaker 2: get this thing dialed in and talk about Jack. Let's
- 36:03Speaker 2: say you do that in a regular season game. Because
- 36:07Speaker 2: again here's my opinion, Angel Reese, do you won the
- 36:10Speaker 2: national title? You beat Iowa, like your story, you grind
- 36:13Speaker 2: it all fucking year to have that moment. Do whatever
- 36:17Speaker 2: you want. Everyone's gonna comment about it, but who gives
- 36:20Speaker 2: a fuck. That's why I love that. She's like, I
- 36:21Speaker 2: don't give a shit that I'm being me. So let's
- 36:25Speaker 2: say a regular season game. Because everyone's saying, like Caitlin
- 36:28Speaker 2: Clark did the same thing.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Xyz.
- 36:31Speaker 2: So you do that in a regular season game. Jack,
- 36:34Speaker 2: you're on LSU, You're Angel Reese. You did that in
- 36:36Speaker 2: a regular season game. If We're sitting there the next
- 36:38Speaker 2: day in the film room and I'm pulling this because
- 36:40Speaker 2: you know, I've had coaches like Paulini Vrabel, I've had
- 36:44Speaker 2: these people that I've gotten to learn from. If we're
- 36:46Speaker 2: sitting in a team meeting. It's like, hey, I get
- 36:49Speaker 2: you want to celebrate, maybe celebrate with your teammates when
- 36:51Speaker 2: we win the national title. You can do some shit
- 36:53Speaker 2: like this, But in this moment, you know, like, let's
- 36:57Speaker 2: let's not make it too much about that.
- 36:59Speaker 1: We'll have our time to do that.
- 37:01Speaker 2: That said, they won the national title, there's not a
- 37:04Speaker 2: whole lot like, do your fucking if that's how you
- 37:06Speaker 2: want to handle it, do it right, be yourself. Yes,
- 37:10Speaker 2: And as far as the Kaitlin Clark comparison, that's what
- 37:13Speaker 2: I would say, like when Kaitlyn. When Kaitlyn did that,
- 37:15Speaker 2: she looks to the sideline, she looks to the bench
- 37:17Speaker 2: and does it with her team for a split moment.
- 37:20Speaker 2: She's not hawking somebody around to Tom and throw it
- 37:22Speaker 2: in their face whole time. And again, this is your
- 37:24Speaker 2: boy zooming out and trying to explain why there's some
- 37:29Speaker 2: differences there because I get it's so easy. It's a
- 37:31Speaker 2: low hanging fruit to do on social media and everything else.
- 37:34Speaker 2: So and so dude it Hey, keep the same energy here.
- 37:36Speaker 2: We all know why they're this color or that color.
- 37:38Speaker 2: We wouldn't be saying to X Y and z. I
- 37:40Speaker 2: think ultimately everyone buys the cheap tickets and say what
- 37:42Speaker 2: everyone says whatever they want, But it's not that fucking deep.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Like everyone's got their own story about it. You were
- 37:47Speaker 2: at angel Rees's postgame talking about it. She took some
- 37:50Speaker 2: things this disrespect. They won the national title. You were
- 37:53Speaker 2: in the right to celebrate however you want to, and
- 37:54Speaker 2: that's how she wanted to do it.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Whether or not it's your cup of tea. It doesn't
- 37:57Speaker 1: fucking matter that you won.
- 37:59Speaker 2: You want it. Oh, you won the big dancer cutting
- 38:01Speaker 2: the net. You're wearing the championship hat. You don't give
- 38:03Speaker 2: a shit, dude. You're like, yo, I'm being me.
- 38:05Speaker 1: That's me.
- 38:06Speaker 2: I love that. We love to celebrate the Conor McGregor's
- 38:08Speaker 2: of the world, you know what I mean. There's a
- 38:10Speaker 2: big fan base, like you got the shit talking best
- 38:12Speaker 2: shit talkers of the game, Floyd Mayweather's Muhammad Ali, Conor
- 38:15Speaker 2: McGregor is all these people who do the shit talking
- 38:17Speaker 2: when they're successful and everything else. It ends up coming
- 38:19Speaker 2: back around like they all have their moments, right, even
- 38:22Speaker 2: fucking like the Jake Paul shit, Like everyone blows up
- 38:25Speaker 2: when there's some Oh I don't fuck with this, or
- 38:27Speaker 2: I don't mess with this.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Look at this class of shit. I wouldn't go about
- 38:29Speaker 1: it that way.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Yo, When you deserve, when you earn the right to
- 38:32Speaker 2: win and stand on the podium and everything else, you
- 38:35Speaker 2: can do that.
- 38:36Speaker 1: But Jack, that's what I would say.
- 38:37Speaker 2: The discrepancy is with all the whole sportsmanship talk and
- 38:41Speaker 2: the difference. Again, I didn't watch that game that Kaylen
- 38:44Speaker 2: Clark was going off and then she did it. But
- 38:46Speaker 2: everyone's saying and when you look at it, she's looking
- 38:50Speaker 2: to the sideline and doing it with the team. The
- 38:52Speaker 2: other one she's chasing her around and taunting. I think
- 38:55Speaker 2: that's where in Liza's subtle difference, I get that it's
- 38:57Speaker 2: the same gesture your boy's trying to stay zoomed out
- 39:00Speaker 2: of Heisey, Cam'm trying to stay a thousand feet tall
- 39:01Speaker 2: in this thing and put you in the room like
- 39:04Speaker 2: if that's a regular season game.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I think that's what gets said.
- 39:06Speaker 2: I know when a football in a football team meeting,
- 39:08Speaker 2: when you're going over celebrating at the end of the
- 39:10Speaker 2: game like that, I know Vrabel or somebody be Hey, teammates,
- 39:13Speaker 2: like celebrate with your teammates, like, let's not get too
- 39:15Speaker 2: out of character, and it would literally say, we win
- 39:17Speaker 2: the super Bowl, do whatever the fuck you want to do.
- 39:20Speaker 2: But until then, like pick your moment that said they
- 39:22Speaker 2: won the Natty, fucking go off and do whatever you
- 39:25Speaker 2: want to do, and you know everybody does the whole
- 39:27Speaker 2: the race baiting and everything else. Then it's just absolute chaos.
- 39:30Speaker 2: At the end of the day, women's college basketball won.
- 39:34Speaker 2: You don't want to know who lost to which they
- 39:35Speaker 2: always fucking do the referees because they always want to
- 39:37Speaker 2: show their ass to make it about them. But ls
- 39:40Speaker 2: you put on a hell of a performance. The head
- 39:42Speaker 2: coach with their little fit and get up and fucking
- 39:44Speaker 2: shining over there. I thought that was hilarious. But hats
- 39:47Speaker 2: off to LSU. Do you gotta give them their flowers
- 39:49Speaker 2: and they can again they won. You're in the right
- 39:51Speaker 2: to win. You're in the right to celebrate how you
- 39:53Speaker 2: want to celebrate. People are like, oh, what would you want?
- 39:55Speaker 2: How would you want to teach your daughter. It's like, listen,
- 39:57Speaker 2: if my daughter wins a third grade soccer game, ye,
- 40:00Speaker 2: she's not winning a fucking national title. She's a third grader.
- 40:02Speaker 2: You're gonna win with grace. You're gonna lose with grace,
- 40:04Speaker 2: You're gonna teach foundational things. That's like, hey, we don't
- 40:07Speaker 2: do that. But if one day you were in a
- 40:08Speaker 2: scholarship and you become her, or you become this and that,
- 40:11Speaker 2: and you earn the right to do that, and you're
- 40:12Speaker 2: no longer in my house and operating under under my philosophies,
- 40:16Speaker 2: do what you want to fucking do. And again, she
- 40:18Speaker 2: earned the right to do that, not in a way
- 40:20Speaker 2: of like showing your ass and being being some arrogant like, yo,
- 40:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to be some asshole about it. Like you're
- 40:26Speaker 2: in the highest You're in the highest level of competition.
- 40:30Speaker 2: The finals go off, and again you feel disrespected type
- 40:33Speaker 2: of way you have your storyline throughout the year, journalists
- 40:36Speaker 2: writing shit about you. You're like, I don't fit your box.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I on't fit your narrative. Talk your shit. You deserve it,
- 40:41Speaker 2: you want it. But that's kind of like my piece
- 40:43Speaker 2: on the whole do matter And for everybody who didn't
- 40:46Speaker 2: watch the women's college basketball finals, you I should have
- 40:49Speaker 2: watched it. That's a good I feel like that's a
- 40:51Speaker 2: that's a decent little breakdown of it all. But that's
- 40:53Speaker 2: kind of my uh, I don't know. That's kind of
- 40:55Speaker 2: my opinion on the matter. What else, Jack, do you
- 40:58Speaker 2: have anything to add or to talk about.
- 41:00Speaker 3: No, I just feel like if you're on that stage
- 41:03Speaker 3: and clearly Angel Reese is a competitor to record that
- 41:08Speaker 3: competition when it's in inside of you, and like how
- 41:11Speaker 3: much it means. If you're able to like take yourself
- 41:14Speaker 3: back and be removed from the situation and handle it
- 41:17Speaker 3: with like poison grace, then you're like a superhero in
- 41:20Speaker 3: my opinion, because I too love competition, And if I'm
- 41:24Speaker 3: in that moment in the heat of it and some
- 41:26Speaker 3: other person has been giving me that shit or like
- 41:28Speaker 3: she's known to have done that, I'm gonna give it
- 41:31Speaker 3: right back at them, because like in that moment, you're
- 41:33Speaker 3: so fired up, you're like, yeah, motherfucker, we just won
- 41:37Speaker 3: like give me that ring, get the fuck off the court,
- 41:40Speaker 3: and then yeah, Twitter is gonna go ham and then
- 41:43Speaker 3: but all it's doing is making people want to watch
- 41:45Speaker 3: college And.
- 41:47Speaker 2: The best part about all this, like everyone gets caught up.
- 41:50Speaker 2: It's like this is what I fucking love about sport.
- 41:52Speaker 2: I want to kind of hate people, and I'm not
- 41:54Speaker 2: saying I hate Angel Reice at all, but you kind
- 41:56Speaker 2: of want those like that Bill's rivals to Bill.
- 41:58Speaker 1: It's just like you're in You're right, Bro, It's like
- 42:00Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers say.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Let's just say Aaron Rodgers doing discount, double take discount,
- 42:04Speaker 2: and all of a sudden you beat him in the
- 42:05Speaker 2: Super Bowl. I might just sprint out of nowhere over
- 42:07Speaker 2: to the sideland and just go bam right in his
- 42:09Speaker 2: fucking face.
- 42:10Speaker 1: That might be a classless piece of shit move, But hey,
- 42:13Speaker 1: we won the Super Bowl, bitch.
- 42:14Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying Like this, in the moment,
- 42:17Speaker 3: bro went on the biggest stage in your sport. You're
- 42:20Speaker 3: entitled to do some extra shit. Yeah, there's obviously a
- 42:24Speaker 3: line that you can go over. And I do not
- 42:26Speaker 3: think that Andrew Reese went over that line by any means. No,
- 42:28Speaker 3: if anything, she could have been walking off the court
- 42:30Speaker 3: still doing it. She did it for five seconds and
- 42:33Speaker 3: then it was over, and then they started celebrating with
- 42:35Speaker 3: their team. Yeah, Broby's gonna take that five second clip
- 42:38Speaker 3: and fucking cry about it for a week and then
- 42:39Speaker 3: we'll forget about it and it'll be another villain.
- 42:42Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, hopefully it sounds bro But I'm with you, man.
- 42:45Speaker 7: It's like, yeah, you're doing your thing like this shit
- 42:49Speaker 7: is That's what I love about sports. And all of
- 42:52Speaker 7: a sudden that day yesterday, everyone's becoming a women's college
- 42:56Speaker 7: basketball fan.
- 42:57Speaker 4: It started a rivalry not only between like let's do
- 43:01Speaker 4: in Iowa, but like now when Angel Rees and Caitland
- 43:04Speaker 4: Clark go to like the league, They're gonna have a
- 43:06Speaker 4: rivalry there, yeah, bro, which I love. Yeah, Like it's
- 43:09Speaker 4: it's definitely good for like women's sports for.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Absolutely man, and and and shout out to the women's
- 43:14Speaker 2: sports bro, because that's that was a big win, I
- 43:16Speaker 2: feel like for them.
- 43:17Speaker 7: Man.
- 43:17Speaker 2: So you get everyone fucking fuming and talking about it like,
- 43:20Speaker 2: oh this is my opinion, that's your listen. We're all
- 43:22Speaker 2: in the cheapest HEAs available a fucking the Twitter app.
- 43:25Speaker 2: But that's just competition at its highest level.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And I love that.
- 43:28Speaker 2: It was burning like that, and she felt like, yo, yeah,
- 43:31Speaker 2: throw it right back, chasing them out and again being herself. Uh,
- 43:36Speaker 2: before we get into an ad read, we would like
- 43:38Speaker 2: to do our our our weekly like, uh, let's on
- 43:43Speaker 2: some ship, you know what I mean?
- 43:45Speaker 1: Yo? What has anybody got anything? Yo?
- 43:48Speaker 2: Theo vaughon this motherfucker looks like somebody who owns a
- 43:51Speaker 2: vaping business and gets the itch to buy a booth
- 43:54Speaker 2: at a health fare and think he's making a difference. Pussy,
- 44:00Speaker 2: not to get all, not to get all fucking you know,
- 44:04Speaker 2: not to be lecturing you guys. But it's time we

- 46:04Speaker 2: I know we got shot out, no free shot out,
- 46:05Speaker 2: We're gonna hit that. I would I would love your
- 46:07Speaker 2: guys opinion. I think if you do the uh you
- 46:10Speaker 2: like hitting kind of the headlines at the beginning, or
- 46:13Speaker 2: would you rather go like a shout out, no free
- 46:15Speaker 2: shout out at the beginning.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I was kind of thinking about that when I was
- 46:18Speaker 1: naking the shower earlier.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I like, I like we headlines and then save shout
- 46:22Speaker 3: out every shout out for the end of it.
- 46:24Speaker 5: Okay, I like we've always done that.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I just want to throw that question out here.
- 46:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I think prefer me that's the best way to
- 46:31Speaker 5: do it.
- 46:31Speaker 2: But yeah, because I feel like I've just we've never
- 46:33Speaker 2: asked or kind of talked about the flow. You kind
- 46:35Speaker 2: of just do it and then you're like, oh, it's
- 46:36Speaker 2: it's time for our favorite segment type of deal.
- 46:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's like a little fun thing to wait.
- 46:41Speaker 2: For it to And if you're watching right now and
- 46:42Speaker 2: you're in the YouTube comments with a live chat making friends,
- 46:44Speaker 2: like leave a comment, let the boys know how you
- 46:46Speaker 2: like the flow of the show, and shout out everybody
- 46:48Speaker 2: who's out there, ride and dine on the hill for
- 46:50Speaker 2: us to keep long intros and everything else.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Like that's that's what you need.
- 46:55Speaker 4: Have you ever thought about doing like the all right,
- 46:58Speaker 4: like it like the things that bother you type of
- 47:00Speaker 4: shadowt you know what I mean?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Pet peeves, pet Peeve of the Week.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it'd be fun. Dude, there's a lot
- 47:07Speaker 2: of pet peeves out there. Yeah, you know what I mean,
- 47:11Speaker 2: figure out a name for that segment.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that could be good.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I think that could be good, especially when you're trying
- 47:16Speaker 2: to uniform the show a little bit, just having another
- 47:19Speaker 2: segment to talk.
- 47:20Speaker 3: About and just kind of like work shopping an idea.
- 47:24Speaker 3: Maybe it could we tied into shadow for shadow, but
- 47:27Speaker 3: like you can address if it's going to be a
- 47:29Speaker 3: positive or a negative one, so like depending on the day,
- 47:32Speaker 3: Like you know, if you're in a bad mood, Like now,
- 47:34Speaker 3: fuck this, I'm about to I'm about to start.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Complaining a little bit. Yeah you're having a good day.
- 47:37Speaker 5: It's like, no, I'm gonna I'm gonna glorify a.
- 47:39Speaker 7: Little Yeah, well you could have You could have both
- 47:43Speaker 7: in there, right, you could have both.
- 47:45Speaker 5: Like I'm just spitballing here.
- 47:46Speaker 7: Like you're saying, shoutout no for shadow. You can kind
- 47:48Speaker 7: of go about it however you want to.
- 47:49Speaker 5: Want it to be positive or negative? Yeah, but again, drop.
- 47:54Speaker 1: A comment, Yeah, drop a comment.
- 47:56Speaker 4: I feel the shot out, know I for your shadow
- 47:57Speaker 4: kind of sounds more positive. Yeah, just like like we
- 48:00Speaker 4: need to come up with like a thing for like
- 48:02Speaker 4: a like not negative, but I guess it is negative
- 48:05Speaker 4: like pep peeve.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Of Yeah, but it's like again, you you come correct
- 48:10Speaker 2: with a positive and negative one every time?
- 48:13Speaker 1: Or can you kind of open it up?
- 48:14Speaker 7: Because I do like the thought of yeah, like, let's
- 48:17Speaker 7: take off the positive hat here for a sec, Like
- 48:19Speaker 7: let me bitch for a minute.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, let me get something off my chest
- 48:22Speaker 2: four times than not. We have more shit that we
- 48:24Speaker 2: fucking we get pissed off about all throughout the day.
- 48:29Speaker 1: But I do I like that idea again.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Boys, girls out there listening watching right now, leave comments,
- 48:34Speaker 2: Let the boys know what you think. Uh, we're gonna
- 48:36Speaker 2: do shut out O for shout out. Then we're gonna
- 48:37Speaker 2: get in this Riley Green episode.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Listen. Riley Green is fucking exploding. You go. I did.
- 48:42Speaker 2: I love following him on Instagram. The dude is a
- 48:44Speaker 2: smoke show of a human being. And I'm not scared
- 48:46Speaker 2: to say that. But he's a stud avid hunter. We
- 48:51Speaker 2: get in everything. He's one of the boys. He's been on.
- 48:53Speaker 2: He was on in season.
- 48:55Speaker 9: Two, year two when we were in that little shit yeah,
- 49:00Speaker 9: a little cheap ass garage where the homeless broke in
- 49:04Speaker 9: and slept here and stole a couple of things.
- 49:05Speaker 2: But yeah, he was one of the he was he's
- 49:08Speaker 2: in the earlier days. But the boy is just that,
- 49:10Speaker 2: he is a boy, and he was a great hangar.
- 49:12Speaker 2: I think everybody's gonna enjoy it.
- 49:14Speaker 7: Uh Yeah, there you go, Gee ge G from the Raptors. Dude,
- 49:20Speaker 7: shout out jelly Row, Jelly Roll. I'm like jelly Row.

- 49:42Speaker 7: Dude, what a stud, bro, and he speaks his stuff
- 49:46Speaker 7: into existence.
- 49:47Speaker 2: I love he's like a loser. You guys picked the loser,
- 49:49Speaker 2: you know. I know that's his stitching, his vibe. But
- 49:51Speaker 2: the boy is a fucking winner right now in Nashville.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Everybody's at his back, and I absolutely love that he
- 49:56Speaker 2: brings the city along. He brings along his original bas
- 50:00Speaker 2: people which he sticks to, and he's he is a
- 50:02Speaker 2: I cannot say enough things about Jelly I'm so happy
- 50:05Speaker 2: to see his success and watch him from afar. And
- 50:08Speaker 2: this dude is on national television hoisting three different awards. Man,
- 50:12Speaker 2: and it's just shout out the boy, Jelly Roll. Let's
- 50:14Speaker 2: give me a fucking round of applause, dude, but an
- 50:18Speaker 2: absolute stud, a Nashville stud at that. Shall we get
- 50:23Speaker 2: into the shout out? No free shout out, Blossie, what
- 50:25Speaker 2: do you got, big dog?
- 50:27Speaker 6: Since we covered our god tear of shoutouts with Jelly Roll,
- 50:31Speaker 6: I'll go to uh my shout out. This this week
- 50:34Speaker 6: is a good April Fool's joke. And I say that
- 50:37Speaker 6: not because I saw many good April Fools jokes this week,
- 50:40Speaker 6: but you reposted your April Fool's joke from last year,
- 50:45Speaker 6: which I thought was hilarious and got people riled up
- 50:49Speaker 6: so so so much. But yeah, shout out, no free
- 50:53Speaker 6: shout out to a good April Fool's joke. I say
- 50:55Speaker 6: that because I had a bad April Fool's joke. I
- 50:58Speaker 6: posted a photo of myself in a hospital bed that
- 51:01Speaker 6: I found on.
- 51:02Speaker 7: Uh you on Google last year.
- 51:06Speaker 6: Come to find out, a week later, I ended up
- 51:08Speaker 6: actually breaking that exact same leg that I found the photo.
- 51:11Speaker 6: But it's been exactly a year and uh uh I
- 51:15Speaker 6: just got cleared to uh to return to work, so
- 51:18Speaker 6: a full year later. But yeah, my shoutout no for
- 51:20Speaker 6: your shoutout, go say aprilfols jo.
- 51:22Speaker 1: That April Fool's joke was. I loved it, bro.
- 51:24Speaker 2: When we were laying in bed, Charles just forty something
- 51:26Speaker 2: like however thirty something, we however love far along. She
- 51:30Speaker 2: was dude, just in pain. She was already like a
- 51:32Speaker 2: week or so late, and I'm like, hey, I got something.
- 51:36Speaker 2: It just drop a black baby will Willa Arlene, and
- 51:40Speaker 2: people were falling for it, like friends.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Taylor called.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Taylor called me that morning thinking that I posted that
- 51:49Speaker 2: and didn't say it to him.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I'm like, brother, like, take a look at the photo. Man.
- 51:54Speaker 2: He's like, well, you know, you kind of get worried
- 51:56Speaker 2: when something like that goes out, like does he not
- 51:58Speaker 2: see it?
- 51:59Speaker 1: But I'm with you, dude, A good April Fools joke
- 52:01Speaker 1: goes a long way.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I love one of our boys in a group
- 52:04Speaker 3: chat this weekend hit another one of our friends. He goes, dude,
- 52:07Speaker 3: he goes, did you mean to post that to your story?
- 52:09Speaker 3: And that was it and he was like, what are you?
- 52:12Speaker 3: And then I was like, dude, fuck, just like something
- 52:15Speaker 3: gets you for like ten seconds.
- 52:16Speaker 5: You're like, maybe my career is over.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Uh my shout out was going to be a Jelly
- 52:23Speaker 3: Roll and I'm I can't pivot off that right now,
- 52:25Speaker 3: so I'm double down shout out, no free shout out
- 52:30Speaker 3: to Jelly Roll. Obviously it was all hit on, but
- 52:32Speaker 3: there's one thing I do want to say. Jelly is
- 52:34Speaker 3: like the most intimidating looking man but also probably the
- 52:37Speaker 3: nicest human on the face of the earth. And he's
- 52:40Speaker 3: always treated like all the boys in the back of
- 52:41Speaker 3: the bus with respect and like always wants to hang
- 52:44Speaker 3: out and like kicking stuff like that.
- 52:46Speaker 5: So shout out to him.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Everything is like what is coming his way is so deserving,
- 52:50Speaker 3: and he's doing such a good thing for the city
- 52:52Speaker 3: of Nashville, and especially just like growing up here, and
- 52:55Speaker 3: like he grew up in like the hood and I
- 52:58Speaker 3: grew up in like white suburban burn but for two
- 53:01Speaker 3: people on like opposite sides of like the railroad. Essentially,
- 53:04Speaker 3: do him just still be like the nicest human being
- 53:07Speaker 3: ever is? I like love that. And he's done such
- 53:09Speaker 3: a good thing for the city in Nashville, and hope
- 53:11Speaker 3: he just keeps fucking hitting that trajectory of nothing but
- 53:15Speaker 3: the stars.
- 53:15Speaker 5: So shout out to the.
- 53:16Speaker 1: Boy, well said, brother, it's a good shout out, Jack.
- 53:20Speaker 1: I'm supposed to follow that one up. Always gonna shut
- 53:23Speaker 1: out Philly Cheese steaks.
- 53:25Speaker 4: My shout out this week goes to that fan that
- 53:28Speaker 4: you put on when you go to sleep. It's that
- 53:30Speaker 4: constant white noise in the background that it for me.
- 53:36Speaker 4: I cannot sleep without a fan or some sort of
- 53:38Speaker 4: constant white noise because it's just too silent. And the
- 53:42Speaker 4: jet like kind of like just not freaks me out.
- 53:44Speaker 4: It's not scared of the dark, but it's just kind
- 53:46Speaker 4: of like way too quiet. But that put that fan
- 53:49Speaker 4: on every single night you get it gets that little
- 53:51Speaker 4: cool breeze going cools you down. Yeah, that little white noise.
- 53:54Speaker 4: I mean, your electricity bill is a little bit higher.
- 53:56Speaker 4: But every time that I have the opportunity to sleep
- 53:58Speaker 4: with a fan on, I do. And it's I've been
- 54:00Speaker 4: doing it ever since I was like ten years old,
- 54:02Speaker 4: even in the winter. Yeah, on everything. That's a good
- 54:05Speaker 4: shout out the fan. That's a good shout out, know
- 54:07Speaker 4: fore shoutout.
- 54:08Speaker 2: That's it. It's like the it's simple pleasures in level.
- 54:11Speaker 2: I'm surprised if it's went this long without something like that.
- 54:14Speaker 5: That's one people who don't sleep with a fan.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I go, it's well, I don't know if we do.
- 54:22Speaker 2: I think we're we're we we we bring the uh
- 54:25Speaker 2: VAC down a lots to where it's nice and cool.
- 54:27Speaker 2: We have we have like a we have like a
- 54:29Speaker 2: white noise, like we play stuff every night.
- 54:31Speaker 5: If it's cold like that, then I feel like you can.
- 54:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but I agree with that though I agree on
- 54:39Speaker 2: just a fan or some noise being on, like up
- 54:42Speaker 2: until maybe me admitting that I'm sitting here thinking like
- 54:44Speaker 2: I've always rocked with the fan, a ceiling fan, or
- 54:48Speaker 2: when you're in college, you got that little a little
- 54:50Speaker 2: side piece next to you. When you were young in
- 54:53Speaker 2: high school, traveling in the camps that didn't have the
- 54:55Speaker 2: a c every all the boys would have like fans
- 54:57Speaker 2: just set up all around. Do fans are fans?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Are got to? That's a nice shout out, Mitch. I
- 55:02Speaker 1: had one in college.
- 55:03Speaker 4: It was like I had the two had two like
- 55:06Speaker 4: the side by side ones, and you could flip one
- 55:08Speaker 4: to be like blowing out, blowing air in and blowing
- 55:11Speaker 4: air out, so like it'll get the hot air out
- 55:14Speaker 4: and the cool air in. The good one also helped
- 55:18Speaker 4: if you were smoking in.
- 55:23Speaker 2: My shout out, no free shout out goes to the
- 55:26Speaker 2: tide stick. No free shout outs to the tide stick today,
- 55:29Speaker 2: your boy. I'm sure you can see it a little bit.
- 55:31Speaker 2: But I had a cup of coffee and was ready
- 55:35Speaker 2: to go, like I had. I was messing with my backpack,
- 55:38Speaker 2: sitting right next to a couple of coffee, and it
- 55:40Speaker 2: hits a couple coffee it's about to fall off, and
- 55:41Speaker 2: I grab it.
- 55:42Speaker 7: It just goes all over. My arm gets all over,
- 55:44Speaker 7: like I was like, oh this fit.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I'm about to crush it with this fit. Dude, just
- 55:48Speaker 2: back one of the rocks and boots with it. Forgot
- 55:50Speaker 2: to rock the boots with it, but coffee got all
- 55:53Speaker 2: over me, obviously, coffee stains. You can see a little
- 55:55Speaker 2: bit of a stay in here, but the tide stick
- 55:56Speaker 2: was working his ass off. So I just want to
- 55:59Speaker 2: give a little oh shout out, no free shout out
- 56:01Speaker 2: to them staying removers out there, specifically the one I
- 56:04Speaker 2: was using the tide stick. No free shot out to
- 56:06Speaker 2: tide But if you want to sponsor the boys, ready
- 56:08Speaker 2: to go. But that's mine, dude, appreciate that.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Jack.
- 56:15Speaker 2: We're going on an hour, solid little intro, fun little intro.
- 56:19Speaker 2: We're gonna get into this Riley Green. The boy has

- 58:47Speaker 2: back to the bus.
- 58:48Speaker 7: Yeah awesome to have you last time you were here.
- 58:51Speaker 7: It was definitely started out strong and then you started
- 58:54Speaker 7: chirping pretty hard. I think we start talking about the Bachelor, right, Yeah,
- 58:57Speaker 7: it was good. He was, Yeah, I was on the
- 58:58Speaker 7: Bachelor back then.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I remember we start talking about your outfit. What's that?
- 59:02Speaker 1: I don't know, that's what we got talking about your outfit.
- 59:04Speaker 7: Yeah, and you started coming. I didn't know you, so
- 59:06Speaker 7: I was like, hey, Almos, trying to make a good
- 59:07Speaker 7: first depression. He started coming at me. I was like,
- 59:09Speaker 7: I'm I don't know what to do now.
- 59:10Speaker 1: It's had me here too long. That's what it was.
- 59:14Speaker 1: The beginning. It was very civil, but dude.
- 59:16Speaker 7: Your fitness in man. We were just talking about outside
- 59:18Speaker 7: the bus, like you went. You were in Oxford, Oxford, Misissippi. Oh, Oxford,
- 59:21Speaker 7: Mississippi playing at a bar. Used to play at.
- 59:23Speaker 10: Yeah, like a real college show in the college town
- 59:27Speaker 10: kind of thing.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Uh.
- 59:28Speaker 10: It was a Ducks Unlimited like charity thing. But it's
- 59:32Speaker 10: kind of like it's what we were talking about. It's
- 59:33Speaker 10: kind of cool to play a stadium and then go
- 59:36Speaker 10: to that, you know, and I think a lot of
- 59:38Speaker 10: it what I get tired of with the bigger stage
- 59:40Speaker 10: is like you're so disconnected from the crowd, whereas like
- 59:45Speaker 10: where a girl could have touched me on my foot
- 59:47Speaker 10: last night, you know, was sitting on the stools played
- 59:49Speaker 10: you know, we played sixty minutes, seventy five minutes, and
- 59:52Speaker 10: like you kind of didn't want to stop, you know,
- 59:53Speaker 10: because this everybody was so happy you were there. So
- 59:55Speaker 10: it's like, you know, with the things grow and you
- 59:57Speaker 10: get these big stages, you kind of miss those shows
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: a little bit, you know, that intimacy of being right
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: there in front of everybody.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but what about that first time being in a stadium.
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: Like that's gotta be like I fuck, oh really last
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: week was the first one we did atn t OH
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: last week and you got to feel like I've really
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: I've really made it.
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean it's it's kind of overwhelming. You can't
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: comprehend that many people. It's fifty five thousand there. It's
- 1:00:21Speaker 10: kind of like, what's the difference between thirty thousand and
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: fifty thousand, you know, h twenty But yeah, I mean
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: five thousand people's more than I know, you know, that's
- 1:00:29Speaker 10: a pretty good one. So, uh, it's just a big
- 1:00:33Speaker 10: looking room. You feel like you got to do more
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: than you can do, like to fill the whole stage up,
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: you know, But it's a it's cool, man. You learn
- 1:00:40Speaker 10: a lot on these tours when you go and open
- 1:00:42Speaker 10: for somebody like Luke Holms, right did Luke Bryan last
- 1:00:45Speaker 10: year at at Alding, and you like watch how they
- 1:00:48Speaker 10: kind of you know, because I mean it wasn't that
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: long ago. Me and Luke Holmes played a lot of
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: the same venues, kind of came up the same way.
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: So you know, it's it's cool to see somebody like
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: that have that kind of success too.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: When you're watching, like what do you look at for?
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Like when you're watching these big performers.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: We just kind of what works? I think a struggle
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: that I have, especially it's like the music the show
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: itself can get a little monotonous, Like I do the
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: same thing, you know, all the time. It's always so
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: it's like you have to keep in my mind that
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: it's the first time somebody out there seeing the show.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: So even the just cutting up or on stage band
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: or between them a band or whatever it is, it's like,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: how do you keep that feeling fresh when you do
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: it every week? And like my tour, Brad Paisley was
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: my first major tour, I guess opening dude, he's been
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: there for like thirty years. He's been doing it for
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: the same show, you know what I mean.
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: But it's just people love it, so you know, it's
- 1:01:41Speaker 10: kind of watching how they keep that energy up. I guess,
- 1:01:44Speaker 10: you know, because it it seems to me like it'd
- 1:01:47Speaker 10: be really easy to kind of just get tired of
- 1:01:48Speaker 10: it and kind of half passed through the show. But uh,
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: it's a little easier when you got fifty thousand people
- 1:01:53Speaker 10: kind of pumping you up to.
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: That seems they play perfecting that craft is an art,
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: Like you said, Brad Pays has been doing for so long,
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: and you you talk about sitting with your band and
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: making the same jokes over and over again, Like I
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: would think because we do a show once a week
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: right now, we're on a spring tour, and a lot
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: of our show as we keep going is like trying
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: to move things around and see how it works. But
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: when you're saying the same joke to your buddy and
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: he's whistling out laugh, you're kind of like, man, it
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: feels a little more awkward. Is that kind of the
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: first time you do it?
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: I've done this thing for well over a year now,
- 1:02:23Speaker 10: where you know, everybody introduces their band on stage, and
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: I did this thing where I was like, you know, hey,
- 1:02:27Speaker 10: you know when during COVID, I think I said, you know,
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: the we didn't play a lot of shows in Tough
- 1:02:31Speaker 10: Money's tide. We're gonna have to get rid of somebody tonight.
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: It's cana be the last show. And but I don't know,
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: let the crowd here and wherever we are pick who
- 1:02:37Speaker 10: stays in the band, and like whoever comes in last
- 1:02:40Speaker 10: place rides back to Nashville, Tennessee and a super route
- 1:02:43Speaker 10: back with my tour manager or whatever it is. Anybody
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: gets a laugh kick out of it. And then I
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: passed it around and anybody really cheers for you know,
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: these nerds in my band, and like really make them
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: feel good. And then at the end, I said, ah, man,
- 1:02:53Speaker 10: we have a five way tie. You're also got one
- 1:02:55Speaker 10: more show together like that. And I've tried to get
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: rid of that from my set for over a year
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: because I do it every night.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Right just goes over so well, you know.
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: I know, dude, was there ever a time like your
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: drummer would get like no applause. I'd be like the
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: guy players, guy, everyone's fucking losing because the drum.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Everyone's like, well, he could probably go actually I actually
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: we're doing with him.
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: I will tell you one that was. I don't know
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: how I came up with. This was very accidental. Probably
- 1:03:18Speaker 10: didn't really know his name, but I always say, hey,
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: what's the bass player's name? The short guy? Where's he at?
- 1:03:23Speaker 10: You know, like, and he walks up and he's like,
- 1:03:24Speaker 10: whispers in my ear where his name is? And uh
- 1:03:27Speaker 10: I was like, oh man, it's Dave. And then because
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: like kind of confused, I know my bass player's name,
- 1:03:31Speaker 10: and I said, well I think you' all like him.
- 1:03:33Speaker 10: Was he's born and raised in and I say whatever
- 1:03:35Speaker 10: city we're in, So he gets the biggest clause everybody.
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: And I was I was somewhere doing a meant greet
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: the other day when it was last week, and this
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: lady came up. She had like a real strong Canadian accent.
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: She says, oh, yeah, you were in Montreal and and so,
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: and she said you have a bend mate from there.
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: I was like really, She's like, yeah, I think it's
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: your bass player. I was like, oh, well, yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: he is actually from and then they had to watch
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: me say he was from Salado, Texas at night or
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: so where.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: We're hey, did you think about her as you were
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: saying that, trying.
- 1:04:05Speaker 10: Not to make contact with her. Luckily they couldn't find her,
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: so they're all confused, Like Americans are weird?
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Dude, What was the best part of like the first
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Stadium last week?
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: I wish Grandpa's never died. You know, that doesn't matter
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: where you are in a coffee shop. That song is
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: such a great song to play because everybody knows it,
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: and like they don't sing that song back, like people
- 1:04:25Speaker 10: scream that song back, you know. I mean there's there's
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: twenty people tonight. I can see literally crying.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: You know. That's just cool.
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: It's cool to write something and people will relate to
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: it like that, Right, But I play that song and
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: I play a song role called hell of a Way
- 1:04:40Speaker 10: to Go. I come out and sit on a stool
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: and kind of finish the show. And it's always the biggest,
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: biggest moment of the show. And also it's kind of
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: the coolest moment because you know a lot of them
- 1:04:51Speaker 10: kind of driving it.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: You know, when you.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: Sing a song like Grandpa's never drive, Grandpa's never shouldn't drive,
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: probably a certainly not drive.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I shouldn't. I wish Grandpa's never died.
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: Giving Earnest Judd some uh weird al yankovis.
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: Some material something like that. If you you see people
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: are crying. Obviously it's an emotional song, Like do you
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: ever catch yourself getting a little emotional on stage or
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: is it to the point where you've sang it so much?
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: You know, like you've moved past the emotion of this.
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: It's always compared to It's not an emotional like crying thing.
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: It's I always said it was like scoring a touchdown
- 1:05:22Speaker 10: or dunking a basketball or hitting a home ruin, Like
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: that's what that moment feels like. It's just that same thing,
- 1:05:27Speaker 10: you know, when you when you walk into the end
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: zone with the football.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: It's like, whatever that feeling is, that's what it feels like.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: You know, I felt that lots of times.
- 1:05:35Speaker 10: Going in the end zone, or like when you when
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: you block somebody will or you know whatever whatever whenever somebody.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Had a touchdown, don't worry, don't worry about that. He
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: knows that feeling.
- 1:05:46Speaker 10: Once in college, you guys have to have two touchdowns.
- 1:05:50Speaker 10: It should be bigger do because when you score a touchdown,
- 1:05:51Speaker 10: I assume it was an accident. It shouldn't have happened.
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: Oh buddy, I caught the ball. Really you get the
- 1:05:56Speaker 10: pull that up? Okay, but he had it on top radius.
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: How did you segue me into this on purpose?
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: Is this is a well oiled machine in here, every guest, Yeah,
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: that's the Landy Walker. He's more ten than me. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: this one I hear boom snipe. Look at this running away.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: From man and he was looking back. Seve Bro's gonna
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: catch him. Yeah.
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: I take a peek. I got nervous and I saw
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: some thick boy back there. I was like, Oh, he's
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: no way not to me at all.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: When you get inside the ten yard line, offensive coordinators
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: now they'll get creative with the line, especially Arthur Smith.
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: Arthur Smith was always he's another head coach of the
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: Atlanta Falcons. Every week he would put in some sort
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: of tackle eligible player.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Really yes, and.
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: He's like, we're running this multiple times a year. Like
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: Dennis Kelly. He can barely even running that photo. This
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: is like three years before we went to the AFC Championship.
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: Three years later and he had like two touchdowns that
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: year really over the middles, just popped it over to him,
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: little pop passes.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: That's all exhilarating.
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: Exhilarating, and there's nothing better than seeing a big boy score.
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: No man, everybody pulls for that. Everybody pulls for It's awesome.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: That game too. Our right tackle almost had a touchdown
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: as well. There was a fumble in.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: The end zone and he grabbed it.
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: And the only two touchdowns we would have scored been
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: me and him. We lost. We lost that game. It
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: wasn't it wasn't a storybook ending.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: But ma'am se.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about talking seeing
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: in front of fifty thousand people the same guy. We
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: are the same guy out of those fifty thousand, and
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: how many you think are men? Uh well I'm one hundred. Yeah,
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: uh good looking cat.
- 1:07:29Speaker 10: I'm not a good because I don't usually gravitate to
- 1:07:32Speaker 10: the men in the crowd, you know. But you know
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: what's funny is it depends on who what the show is.
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: Obviously I'm opening for Luke Colmbs. Me and Luke have
- 1:07:39Speaker 10: a lot of guy fans. Yeah, I mean, we're not
- 1:07:41Speaker 10: really the love song like, you know, we white tennis
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: shoes a little rougher like. Our songs are a lot
- 1:07:50Speaker 10: more like Luke's got the beard.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Yeah, heavier set, gentleman, listen, it's it's a complete one
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: eighty difference. I'll just say it right now. Luke Combs
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: ain't no Rightley Green ban.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Yeah about that. You need to be going out. You
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: should just have a hot boys tour call it that. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: The best looking dudes in country music? Rip around? Who
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: would be the top three hottest dudes in country music?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Let's ring I'm watching, Yeah, I gotta go Fellas. Yeah, man,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: what if I just had them? Just who's another dude
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: out there you tip your cap to in the country world? Uh?
- 1:08:32Speaker 10: Well, you mean like as a person, like as you
- 1:08:35Speaker 10: don't have to say he's a good looking dude.
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: You just think back in the day, guy was probably
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: the single He's slaid, no question about it. Uh you
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: was a good guy like Dirk Spentley older, but man, Maggie, Yeah,
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: he's slight, those like settle for slow down days like yeah,
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: I took a girl to this concert? Oh yeah, like
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: two thousand and seven, you can go home with you?
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: She was trying to get in that VIP you could
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: have got there the bus.
- 1:08:55Speaker 10: Yeah, uh yeah, man, I you know there's a lot
- 1:08:59Speaker 10: of I was like that had been around a long time.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I mean I was out with Luke Bryan. He was like,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: he's a heart thrive. I'll tell you something.
- 1:09:06Speaker 10: There every show I open for Luke Bryan, there were
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: a handful of guys there. You know, the guys I'm
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: talking about the like, man, this same country music. You know,
- 1:09:14Speaker 10: it's what those guys this their girlfriend drug into the show,
- 1:09:17Speaker 10: but they came to.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: See me, you know yeah, and uh love that.
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: I'm gonna tell you this is I watched it happen
- 1:09:22Speaker 10: every night because this dude puts on the show. They're
- 1:09:26Speaker 10: seven beers deep and he's up there and he's doing
- 1:09:29Speaker 10: the thing. Yeah, and they're like, I got that real good.
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: And they guy was just like yeah yeah, because he's
- 1:09:36Speaker 10: like he does it, man, he does the thing ends
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: up turning the guys. The guys started, oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: he's you can't help but like it. Man, it's caause
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: he just he just has fun with it.
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: You brought up a good point about those uh those
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: proud boys that are like this country music this pop
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: country music is bullshit, Like, why do you think that's happened?
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: Because I got to Thomas read about it, and he's like, yeah,
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: but when the Outlaws came out back in the day
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: of like Willie and Whaling and all them they were
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: and back then that's not country music. And now we
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: all look back at that, like, man, what an era.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: For country music?
- 1:10:05Speaker 10: Yeah, I think there's some stuff now that's a little
- 1:10:09Speaker 10: more of a stretch, you know. Yeah, I mean comparing
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: Waylon Jennings to you know, Johnny Cash saying there night
- 1:10:17Speaker 10: and day. Back then it's not quite like some of
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: the hip hop type stuff we have going out. But
- 1:10:22Speaker 10: music does change all the time, and there's a lot
- 1:10:24Speaker 10: of different musically ways you can go in this genre.
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: But I always say that the storytelling is what makes
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: country music. Song that has a story as some kind
- 1:10:33Speaker 10: of meeting, that's kind of thing about country. Obviously, you
- 1:10:34Speaker 10: can go like techno bar and just like people just
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: want to dance and people like to have a good time,
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: there's songs like that too, But I always say if
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: it's got some kind of meaning to it and story,
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: it can be somewhat considered country music, right, But there's
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: a line for you.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Are you ever surprised on certain country music that takes
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: off or gets wildly popular?
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I am.
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: But it's also like how many country artsts you've seen
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: that have come out had a song to anything gown pop?
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: You know, I mean there's a lot of those so swift, Yeah,
- 1:11:00Speaker 10: I mean there's just a I think that country music,
- 1:11:03Speaker 10: the way it's set up, especially with country radio and
- 1:11:06Speaker 10: this town, how it's so connected, so different than any
- 1:11:08Speaker 10: other genre because like where is pop music at? You know,
- 1:11:11Speaker 10: where's rock happened? You know, so like la, I guess
- 1:11:13Speaker 10: I don't know, But you don't have to live there
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: kind of all over. But you can come to Nashville,
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: sign a deal, meet the radio pds, and do this
- 1:11:19Speaker 10: one and have a career in country music, even if
- 1:11:21Speaker 10: you go a different way after that. So a lot
- 1:11:23Speaker 10: of people start here. But I think that the you
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: know what, what you originally ask about, why there are
- 1:11:29Speaker 10: those people that are like this isn't country kind of
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: put their foot down. Is like it's such an era
- 1:11:34Speaker 10: of like everybody wants to know about the guy nobody
- 1:11:36Speaker 10: knows about.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: First.
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: I remember when Chris Stapleton I saw him play in Birmingham.
- 1:11:40Speaker 10: This is the was the year that he blew up.
- 1:11:42Speaker 10: He had the three AACM Awards or whatever and the
- 1:11:44Speaker 10: steel Drivers. Yeah yeah, and but I mean, you know,
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: I think, what do you listening to? Was one he
- 1:11:48Speaker 10: had like on YouTube. I don't know if he had
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: any music out, but I remember thinking that was a
- 1:11:51Speaker 10: cool thing efver and then when he kind of blew up,
- 1:11:52Speaker 10: everything like that's not that that's cool, which is he's
- 1:11:56Speaker 10: still great.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: He's great song, but people are like that about it.
- 1:11:59Speaker 10: I had a lot of them my career that would
- 1:12:00Speaker 10: like have burnt CDs of stuff I wrote when I
- 1:12:03Speaker 10: was like sixteen years old, and that was what they
- 1:12:04Speaker 10: would request it my shows. Yeah, those songs were garbage,
- 1:12:08Speaker 10: but they just wanted me to know that they knew them,
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: that's all it was.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: Yeah, you're saying you were that way with Chris Apleton. Yeah,
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: with a lot of you knew you were on him early,
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: and then when he blew up, you're.
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: Kind of like, like, how many times I remember I
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: put you on that? Remember that's what everybody wants to do.
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: It's like the stuff that gets commercial becomes less cool
- 1:12:26Speaker 10: to a lot of fans, I think. But it's, you know,
- 1:12:27Speaker 10: kind of a double edged story. Yeah, what's your what's
- 1:12:30Speaker 10: your struggle?
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: Is there a struggle at all of like kind of
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: inform into the mainstream country music and where it's at,
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: because you could easily, with the backing you have, you
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: could go and put some techno beats on something and
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: have it play across every club everywhere all the time.
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: Yeah, and you know, it's there's still time, there's still
- 1:12:46Speaker 10: time to sell out.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: It's it's give me a week. He actually got a
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: couple of things coming out right.
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: Now, and.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Things don't turn my way. Man, it's a it's a
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: weird time.
- 1:12:58Speaker 10: What I'll say is it's it's it's really hard to
- 1:13:00Speaker 10: have blinders on in this town, just because it's so
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: easy to watch what somebody else's doing.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Go all, they're having success, they're having success.
- 1:13:07Speaker 10: And then also you've got the fact that a lot
- 1:13:09Speaker 10: of these songwriters right for everybody, well, they have a
- 1:13:13Speaker 10: style of writing too.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: They know what's getting played.
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: Songwriters don't make anything nless it's on the radio and
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: a hit anyway, So they want songs to go on
- 1:13:18Speaker 10: the radio. And for a song to get put on
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: the radio, it has to sound something the word I'll
- 1:13:24Speaker 10: use is somewhat commercial. It's got to be very relatable
- 1:13:27Speaker 10: to a mass audience. So what that does is it
- 1:13:29Speaker 10: takes some things that are what I would say cool
- 1:13:32Speaker 10: and kind of makes them live in a different space,
- 1:13:34Speaker 10: which fortunately for me and a lot of artists now,
- 1:13:37Speaker 10: the Tyler Childers of the world, there is another space
- 1:13:39Speaker 10: they can live in. And you can have a great
- 1:13:41Speaker 10: career without having that, you know, but it does. Man,
- 1:13:45Speaker 10: I'm in a great spot because I've kind of got
- 1:13:47Speaker 10: a little of bos. I've got some grassroots following that
- 1:13:49Speaker 10: people that found me a long time ago before radio,
- 1:13:51Speaker 10: and then I've also got some couple of songs that
- 1:13:53Speaker 10: were hits on the radio. Solet's finding that line of
- 1:13:56Speaker 10: who and commercial and trying to get songs that are that.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: I think that's that everybody's got.
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: When you're talking about songwriters and how they they write
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: to put stuff on the radio, because that's another way
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: they can make money.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: How do you go about writing? Do you have a
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: certain core group of dudes or you kind of bounce
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: around a little bit. I do.
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: I don't try a lot of new folks just because
- 1:14:15Speaker 10: I know what songs I'm gonna get with certain guys,
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: you know, like I write a lot of stuff with
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: the same core guys. And also it's really it's not
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: rocket science, you know, writing songs. I mean, yeah, there's
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: I guess some skills that you can be born with
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: you can kind of work on and get better at.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: But it's like.
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: You sit in with people you like, you're gonna write
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: better songs, people you enjoy being around people that grew
- 1:14:36Speaker 10: up the same way whatever that is, you know. But
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: I mean, even still my biggest songs I wrote by myself.
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: So it's kind of keeping a little bit of that
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: both trying to, you know, find some guys that can
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: write some that know what's gonna get played on the radio,
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: and then write some stuff that's really for lack of
- 1:14:51Speaker 10: better term me, you know, and just play it out
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: and see what works. I think a lot of my
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: success came from just playing songs on YouTube, Facebook, I
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: guess at the time, and just seeing what people thought
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: they liked it.
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: I go recorded, he said, when you talk about like
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: not being rocket science, dude, it kind of seems like
- 1:15:07Speaker 7: it because no musical talent over here.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: I'll expee for myself.
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: I heard will sing in the car yesterday that boy
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: can Belton, I was put out five like it was nothing.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: He was getting after it.
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: You go like, we all sit in the car, dude,
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: and I'll put that radio up to ten, and I'll
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: be saying and be like, fuck, why why couldn't I
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: have thought about doing this?
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Or why couldn't I do? Like I feel that all
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: the time.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: Yeah, say it's not rocket science, brother, Like it's it's
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: an absolute talent. Like where how did you learn to
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: even write music? Like how did that process start for you?
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: It's it was really accidental. So my Grendaddy Bufford was
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: a really witty guy, like what a name wrote? Yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 7: Beautford Greamon wrote, Uh, wrote poems and like drew and
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: painting and stuff whatever. He was just had really good words,
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: I guess. But we didn't write songs I wouldn't do
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: in a country music back then. But I think that
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: I got a little wit from him. He was really
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: good with just that kind of thing. But as far
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: as like writing songs, when I started my career, I
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: was just get I got so tired of playing the
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: songs I knew. I was playing covers at bars every night,
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: and I was like, man if I wrote a song
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: kind of like this, just to change something up, and
- 1:16:09Speaker 7: people started to like them. A couple of them did well,
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: And I just I learned to write from playing shows,
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: so like fans taught me how to write. If something
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: went over one line really made people go oh yeah,
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: then I thought, well, it's something more like that. So
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: I did that for you know, six or eight years
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: before I ever stepped foot in Nashville. So I just
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: think it made me write a certain way.
- 1:16:29Speaker 10: And a lot of those guys that are having that
- 1:16:30Speaker 10: success outside of country radio, say Tyler Childers, Texas Country,
- 1:16:34Speaker 10: A lot of that stuff, they're not here writing there
- 1:16:36Speaker 10: wherever they're from writing, and that's where that comes from.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: So they're writing from a different place than everybody else.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Are those Tyler Childers in that Texas Country? Is that
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: kind of your favorite?
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: I've liked Texas country stuff for a long time, but
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: you know, I just think different.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: It's cool.
- 1:16:51Speaker 10: I mean a lot of what Eric Church did I
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: thought was different. You know, like he had some stuff
- 1:16:55Speaker 10: that he put out that's you know, it doesn't sound
- 1:16:58Speaker 10: like everything else. I think that's the best thing you
- 1:16:59Speaker 10: can have right now. I think that's where success come from.
- 1:17:02Speaker 10: Luke Colmbs. When he first came out, there was nobody
- 1:17:04Speaker 10: that sounded like Luke to me. You know whatever, the
- 1:17:07Speaker 10: music sounds like, his voice was recognizable. It's so easy
- 1:17:10Speaker 10: now for an artist to get a song on the radio,
- 1:17:12Speaker 10: maybe will come a hit, and then people go and
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: the song comes like, oh man, I love that song,
- 1:17:16Speaker 10: and not who sings it? They have no clue who
- 1:17:18Speaker 10: the guy is, you know, yeah, because they would you
- 1:17:20Speaker 10: would sit there and be like, oh, that's who sings it.
- 1:17:22Speaker 10: This guy there's I mean, there's there's guys with four
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: or five number ones on the radio that people don't
- 1:17:26Speaker 10: know who it is.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: They sing along and tap their foot when it comes on.
- 1:17:28Speaker 10: But that's such a big hurdle to get over unless
- 1:17:31Speaker 10: you have something that's a little different, right.
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: You know, it's unique seeing the people that are singing
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: the songs too, Like you brought Tyler Childers a couple
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: of times and before like you hear his songs. Then
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: you look them up you're like, I did not think
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: that is interesting, Like who's that culter wall? And yes
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: there's a wall under wall wall, culter wall. Look you
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: look at him and you're like, it sounds like he
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: looks like a teenager and he's got that aast voice. Yeah,
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: it's crazy. Well, I'm sure a lot of folks felt
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: like that about Luke first sound too. You know, I
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: remember for me it was a guy named Corus Smith.
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: He's b Broro Hory Smith is one the police. I
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: could do it again and Corey went on tour with
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: me last year. Yeah.
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: I was such a huge fan of course Smith growing up.
- 1:18:11Speaker 10: He played Brothers bar and Jacksonville. Like I got arrested
- 1:18:15Speaker 10: a couple of times, sneaking into his shows with a
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: fake ID. Like just a huge fan of his. Open
- 1:18:19Speaker 10: for him several years ago and kind of full circle,
- 1:18:21Speaker 10: got to call him and him come open for me
- 1:18:23Speaker 10: and written together. He's an awesome dude, But it was,
- 1:18:27Speaker 10: you know, you just wouldn't expect. He was a school
- 1:18:28Speaker 10: teacher I think when he was having all you know
- 1:18:30Speaker 10: that's wild but never had a song on the radio
- 1:18:32Speaker 10: and had a fifteen year career.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Is he a good hang, great man? He seems awesome dude.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: One of my boys, Like his name's Jordan Thompson, shout
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: out JT. But he could he could play the guitar,
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: so he would play the Cory Smith.
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: Chance, Like we just sit out in the back deck
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: and he play him and it's like, or Smith, he
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: fucks broh. He's got a cool you need voice. Yes,
- 1:18:49Speaker 7: big fan of that guy, But you're going somewhere with no.
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: I just wanted to shout out JT. And of course
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: brought him before. He's out there listening. Hey, he's you're
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: more welcome to come on the bus.
- 1:18:59Speaker 10: Brother, Yeah, I'll get you get hooked. He's a he
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: would answered the questions of how do you song right?
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: Way better than me. He's a really smart, like analytical
- 1:19:08Speaker 10: guy when it comes song right. When you're saying, how
- 1:19:10Speaker 10: spart analytical he is? How come He's more of like
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: an underground cat in a lot of ways. Like he's
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: definitely like more known than Georgia obviously, and like God.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Especially, I mean, you gotta go.
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: You gotta be in like certain parts of the country
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: for people to know who that is, right, if you're
- 1:19:25Speaker 7: more of a nationwide dude?
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Is that just intentional?
- 1:19:28Speaker 10: Like No, I'll tell you what's really impressive about Corey
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: is like there's a lot of guys that are doing
- 1:19:32Speaker 10: what he did. Now they're going out and they're having
- 1:19:34Speaker 10: a successful career tour and without big commercial success or radio.
- 1:19:39Speaker 10: Think about doing that then before social media, for Spotify, Amazon,
- 1:19:43Speaker 10: all these other ways you could put music out. If
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: you didn't have a song on the radio, then how
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: is anybody ever going to hear it? It was completely
- 1:19:48Speaker 10: through somebody going hey man, you heard this guy and
- 1:19:50Speaker 10: putting a CD in the truck going on spring break
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: and Blair and I wish I was twenty one or
- 1:19:55Speaker 10: if I could do it again or whatever it was
- 1:19:57Speaker 10: pol yeah, man, And I like, I just remember hearing
- 1:20:00Speaker 10: it thinking it was the coolest thing ever wherever I
- 1:20:02Speaker 10: heard it from, and him coming through and me getting
- 1:20:05Speaker 10: to go watch him play, and then it was like
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: he was coming to from or two hours well, I
- 1:20:08Speaker 10: was like I'm gonna go there.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: I mean I've set around and played his songs at
- 1:20:12Speaker 10: college parties, you know, all the way through.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: But uh, and it seems like too, like the way
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: he entertains the crowd, like you just listen to his music,
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: like whether you're throwing a seat or throwing a song,
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: like when he does fuck the Police and stuff like.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: That, you just hear.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he does it live and you can just hear
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: it in the crowd. It seems like he does a
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: really good job entertaining everybody to make you go, hey,
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: have you ever checked this.
- 1:20:32Speaker 10: Dude out out? Well, you've heard you've heard the live
- 1:20:34Speaker 10: version of that song. I'm sure.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:35Speaker 10: There's also a little bit of that too. There are
- 1:20:37Speaker 10: songs that live in such a good space like that.
- 1:20:40Speaker 10: Like you think about live records that you really listen to.
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: I mean there's a handful of them, obviously. You know
- 1:20:45Speaker 10: the Last Waltz by the Band. I used to listen
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: to that a lot, and it was some you know,
- 1:20:49Speaker 10: some Texas country stuff from like Billy Bob's that I
- 1:20:51Speaker 10: used to love the live version of because the crowd,
- 1:20:53Speaker 10: you know, really being involved. But I heard Billy Bob's
- 1:20:55Speaker 10: is a vibe. It's awesome, man, really cool place. But
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: it's like that's song lives with the crowd in the
- 1:21:02Speaker 10: background screaming, and so I mean it's it's just, uh,
- 1:21:05Speaker 10: it's cool to see guys that made it that far
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: by just strictly going and writing songs and going and
- 1:21:09Speaker 10: play shows.
- 1:21:10Speaker 7: Well brought up interacting with the crowd and stuff like that.
- 1:21:13Speaker 7: How long did it take you to really like dial
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: that in for your performances.
- 1:21:16Speaker 10: It took a lot of watching other people. Yeah, I
- 1:21:19Speaker 10: used to go down to the jokes. Well, I mean
- 1:21:23Speaker 10: I would be called stealing songs if you like cover somebody,
- 1:21:26Speaker 10: you know.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Yeah, how they introduced a song if it was theirs,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I probably stole that.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: There was a.
- 1:21:32Speaker 10: Guy that plays it at the floor Bama, uh named
- 1:21:35Speaker 10: Big Earl. Then my parents used to let me go
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: in and see and he sings like really dirty songs,
- 1:21:39Speaker 10: you know.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Uh. And I remember being like you shouldn't be here,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you know. But he was just the craziest thing.
- 1:21:45Speaker 10: He would act a fool on stage, like you know,
- 1:21:48Speaker 10: like get people to come up and spend this like
- 1:21:50Speaker 10: Wheel that had like I'll play sweet on my Alabama
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: or this or show your tiss and like it always
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: landed on show your tists like it was waited, you know.
- 1:21:57Speaker 10: But he had a whole thing. It was like such
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: a show beyond what songs should be saying. The songs
- 1:22:02Speaker 10: were like forty seconds long, like little just like whatever
- 1:22:05Speaker 10: jokes you know, And I like I learned a lot
- 1:22:07Speaker 10: from that, even though it wasn't so much the comedy thing.
- 1:22:09Speaker 10: It's just like nothing has to be perfect, like it
- 1:22:12Speaker 10: looked like every single night he went up there just
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: made up everything he was doing. I thought it was
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: something cool about that.
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: Yeah, im prov was awesome, but like I like little
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: gimmicks and shows like The Big Wheel and there's like
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: he slots for other songs and then.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Showed me your tits.
- 1:22:24Speaker 10: Yeah, he had this one where he got somebody on
- 1:22:27Speaker 10: stage and said he had a lawnmower accident and he
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: lost one of his nuts and he's like, if you
- 1:22:32Speaker 10: can come here and tell me which one was missing,
- 1:22:34Speaker 10: you have a free Big Girl CD. And this like
- 1:22:37Speaker 10: lady comes up on the stage and she like reached
- 1:22:39Speaker 10: on his pants and feels around and he's like those
- 1:22:42Speaker 10: eyes closed, like, okay, which one?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: She said? The left one?
- 1:22:45Speaker 10: He said, nope, try to get and stuck her hand
- 1:22:46Speaker 10: back down there. Try honestly out here a CD. That's awesome, dude.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: What are some of the we don't do that at
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: my shows just so but uh, not.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: Like doulding on that or anything else, but what are
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: some of the wader stories you've had some of your shows?
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Uh something?
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: Were you always like whether you're with the boys or
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: you're telling somebody knew you just met. Hey, this one time.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: There's been some pretty crazy stuff.
- 1:23:09Speaker 10: I a lot of the I think a lot of
- 1:23:12Speaker 10: the craziest days that I had were when I was
- 1:23:14Speaker 10: playing those club shows.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: And I was probably rowdy enough.
- 1:23:18Speaker 10: Back then that it didn't seem as crazy to me
- 1:23:20Speaker 10: as it should have. Yeah, I mean, it wasn't like
- 1:23:22Speaker 10: I didn't have a tour manager for a long time.
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: I do any management. I was just playing shows. I
- 1:23:25Speaker 10: was driving my truck, me and whoever whatever buddies could
- 1:23:27Speaker 10: make it. We jump in and we would just head out.
- 1:23:29Speaker 10: And I mean like we went to some pretty rough areas,
- 1:23:33Speaker 10: you know. I mean like I had, uh, two or
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: three of my buddies that I went around with, black
- 1:23:38Speaker 10: guys grew up together, and we went just not thinking
- 1:23:41Speaker 10: about it. Was like So and so would just get
- 1:23:42Speaker 10: a car to mine. They'd call me to play showby
- 1:23:44Speaker 10: birthday party. We'd go out in the middle of just
- 1:23:46Speaker 10: like some country you know, country places and full up
- 1:23:51Speaker 10: and we'd all be in.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Trouble, you're working through that.
- 1:23:53Speaker 10: We'd all get well, I mean just you know, we'd
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: be looking around and like, what do you think. I'm like,
- 1:23:56Speaker 10: I don't know, I'm gonna go fill it out, you know.
- 1:23:58Speaker 10: And of course it always ended up being at like
- 1:24:00Speaker 10: they're in there like hugging her mom and they're all
- 1:24:02Speaker 10: trinking Jack Daniels together or whatever. But there was a
- 1:24:04Speaker 10: lot of stuff that I think if I had a
- 1:24:06Speaker 10: security person or a management or whatever, sometime, they probably
- 1:24:08Speaker 10: would have stopped me and made me think about it.
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: There's some sketchy places out there, no doubt. You Just
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: you look under some of these rocks out there and
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: it's like, Yo, I did not know a place like
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: this exists.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: A lot of like uh, Montana, Yeah, I mean, we're
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: going to We're going to rule in Alabama too, you buddy.
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: I feel like that's like the probably the scariest that
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: rule in Mississippi.
- 1:24:30Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean we play some r V parks like
- 1:24:33Speaker 10: where they do rock crawlers and like doom Buggies and stuff.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Real redneck ship. Yeah yeah, man, just uh on the
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: redneck just like the white trash. Yeah, I mean, but
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: that's a glassy way to say white trash, right it is.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Yeah a lot more. Yeah, just hit the nail on
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: the head, that's white trash. Out shout out white trash. Yeah,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: just shout out white trash.
- 1:24:52Speaker 10: I know you'll see y'all do that on what it
- 1:24:54Speaker 10: means trying to fit in. I appreciate you even noticing. Yeah,
- 1:24:57Speaker 10: I mean I thought y'all did a lot of that
- 1:24:59Speaker 10: last time too, So I just, yeah, that's what we're
- 1:25:01Speaker 10: trying to get shot enough. Weren't getting shot enough for
- 1:25:03Speaker 10: shadowt going, but this was always getting a new implement,
- 1:25:06Speaker 10: So I was at the beginning y'all really get at
- 1:25:08Speaker 10: it now. Yeah, I see y'all on your show. Shout
- 1:25:10Speaker 10: out you for knowing that. Yeah, man, that's fucking that's
- 1:25:12Speaker 10: a big deal.
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: When you go to these liker like RV parks and
- 1:25:15Speaker 7: scene where you're at now, like where do you think,
- 1:25:18Speaker 7: Like what's the pinnacle for you? Like you have truly
- 1:25:21Speaker 7: done what you wanted to accomplish and music thirty thousand
- 1:25:24Speaker 7: feet in the air looking at your career, I mean.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Complete honesty, I'm past it.
- 1:25:29Speaker 10: I never thought I would have a song on the
- 1:25:30Speaker 10: radio or like I can remember at one point being like, man,
- 1:25:34Speaker 10: I wish I could just write a song that like
- 1:25:37Speaker 10: even if people hated my guts, they'd have to go
- 1:25:40Speaker 10: that's pretty good. Yeah, And I mean there's enough people
- 1:25:44Speaker 10: that I always Grandpa never never died has been successful
- 1:25:46Speaker 10: too that I can kind of feel that way about it,
- 1:25:48Speaker 10: and I'm like I can kind of be like suck it,
- 1:25:50Speaker 10: you know, yeah, dude.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: And what's funny is I believe you just based on
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: the conversation we were texting about last week when he's
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: like showing his spot, like come down in Hunt, like
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: I'll send the bust of you guys.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Want to make a Yeah, very accommodating. The hospitality is.
- 1:26:05Speaker 10: Well, I mean well, I mean, you know I benefit
- 1:26:07Speaker 10: from hanging out with all all gonna shout me out, man,
- 1:26:10Speaker 10: do the shout out thing.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like remember that one guy shout out? Are
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: you right? But yeah?
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: But also it's like it's not like we know e
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: show that well, like yes we we we ran game
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: in a successful softball game.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Get after we did get after it.
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: But uh yes, dude, hey you talk about a stud
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: now on the softball fielders.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Yo, bombs, bro, he was the were you the MVP?
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Did we win?
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: We won that game? That's right, that's right, you know
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: how the aggressive part.
- 1:26:38Speaker 10: Was, Uh we pulled up late and I'm like running
- 1:26:41Speaker 10: in throwing cleats on. I'm thinking, well, you know, it's
- 1:26:43Speaker 10: charity thing. I got a bunch of people here, I
- 1:26:45Speaker 10: probably won't even play. I'll be at the end of
- 1:26:46Speaker 10: the list and I'll get there and like walk into
- 1:26:48Speaker 10: the dugout national anthemis and they go first up, number nine,
- 1:26:51Speaker 10: Riley Green.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: I'm like, go up there to the plate, and he
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: did off foul pole man. Really, he's got some fucking
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: used to Were you a big baseball guy, girl?
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: So?
- 1:27:00Speaker 10: I mean I played. I played football, baseball, and basketball.
- 1:27:03Speaker 10: I was not the baseball player that I am the
- 1:27:05Speaker 10: men's league softball player. When I found out they threw
- 1:27:07Speaker 10: the ball underhanded, I was like, are you kidding me?
- 1:27:09Speaker 10: I remember being like, are they gonna do this the
- 1:27:11Speaker 10: whole game?
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, he was an hour lob is my speed.
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: Men's softball though, there's usually like a home run rule,
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: like you can't hit more than.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Three a game. Yeah.
- 1:27:21Speaker 10: Yeah, we've had We've had them where it was like
- 1:27:23Speaker 10: inning ending, where like if you step up your first
- 1:27:26Speaker 10: at better than ding hit it out, it's like, y'all
- 1:27:27Speaker 10: go back to the field.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: Yeah. And I've been that.
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: Guy that brings us to a very pressing issue what
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: he thinks harder to hit a pitcher or a softball
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: pitcher like an MLB pitcher or underhand like the girls.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: That fucking rip ull. Is that a big question.
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: That's a big question because a lot, because it's way
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: different because the ball, when you're a baseball player is
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: showing the ball just right. The girls is rising, the
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: women's rise, and they can they can make that ball move.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Now what Uh.
- 1:27:51Speaker 10: But I've seen like some sports science stuff talking about
- 1:27:54Speaker 10: how it's like equivalent to a ninety whatever miles close.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: It's really close. It's like a little league mound. I
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: don't know. I don't want to start this respectable, but it.
- 1:28:01Speaker 7: Is like a literally it's way short, it's way shorter,
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: shorter reactions that, yeah, don't want to be down, dude.
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: We would go at Michigan bigger okay, slack. You go
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: at Michigan and uh play at the softball team and
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: like try to do like a home run derby in
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: their softball field.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: And we had there was a girl that that was like.
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: A two time All American pitcher and she would fucking
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: rip that thing like football like baseball players try to do.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: I feel like I've seen that happen on like to
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: and usually the baseball players send it yard.
- 1:28:30Speaker 7: I was gonna say, oh, I like some girls talking
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: ship and he's like, all right, it's like the first
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: pitch and he fucking rips that bat two stories high.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Uh, It's like, yeah, it's closer, but also the ball
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: is bigger. Like, dude, you're trying to take a ninety
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: five mile our fast different.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: I'm sure it would take a little getting.
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: Used to, but imagine that ninety five mile in our
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: fastball then all of a sudden, like a seventy two
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: mile hour curveball, Like that's that change of pace. Yeah, brother,
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: that'd be so hard to hit. They say it's the
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: hardest thing to do in sports at a curveball.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: Maybe I have no clue.
- 1:29:00Speaker 10: I haven't curling, you know what I mean? People are
- 1:29:03Speaker 10: getting bag into curling though. We have George kittle on here.
- 1:29:06Speaker 10: He's doing curling.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Jared Allen, like, you got to have too many ingredients
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: to really enjoy it.
- 1:29:10Speaker 10: I like games that you can, like, you know, I
- 1:29:11Speaker 10: can get a football off the bus and go out
- 1:29:13Speaker 10: and throw them. Yeah, fu football, basketball, But like curling,
- 1:29:17Speaker 10: you gotta have an ice rin. You got a skates
- 1:29:19Speaker 10: a broom thing, Ma, you need skates. You don't know,
- 1:29:22Speaker 10: You're just sliding.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: But also it's like you need the resources to like.
- 1:29:25Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean you like haym down your hardwood floor
- 1:29:28Speaker 10: in your house and play if you want to.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: But a game that seems fun is pickleball. Yeah, people
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: are picking up pick pickleball is I.
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: Haven't played it yet. I want to play. We need
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: to get out there this summer.
- 1:29:38Speaker 10: I f here's my problem with pickleball. It's the same
- 1:29:40Speaker 10: problem I have with like ping pong or pool for
- 1:29:44Speaker 10: that matter. It's it's such a game that, like, if
- 1:29:47Speaker 10: you play it, you can be really good at it.
- 1:29:49Speaker 10: I don't like games that somebody less athletic can be
- 1:29:52Speaker 10: can beat me in. Like I want to be able
- 1:29:53Speaker 10: to show up and have an advantage because I'm taller, yeah, faster,
- 1:29:57Speaker 10: like I work out a little bit and a little
- 1:29:59Speaker 10: better shape. But I don't like it when somebody like
- 1:30:01Speaker 10: it's a little nerdier and a little more like and
- 1:30:03Speaker 10: just like show up and just more of a mortal Yeah,
- 1:30:05Speaker 10: I don't like that. If you can practice that like
- 1:30:07Speaker 10: at your house, you know, I would like so basketball, Like,
- 1:30:09Speaker 10: you know, a guy's gonna show up and mean if.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: I might have a little advantage. Now I'm in ping
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: pong about it's not for you. Well, you can just
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: practice yourself too. I don't have ping pong table.
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: Brother, You've done all right, Like you can go to
- 1:30:22Speaker 7: Walmart and get the two un of dollars ping pong table.
- 1:30:25Speaker 7: If they notice you all, you'll get a bucket of
- 1:30:26Speaker 7: balls free too. He likes the more masculine sports out there. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: you can get a little more physical shooting gun. A
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: five to four guy could walk up and smoke me
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: at ping pong. That's what I struggle to sleep at
- 1:30:40Speaker 7: night with. You know what I'm saying, like casts off
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: to him, But I'm gonna go home.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: Be like that's what bothered me about the game. Yeah,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: I don't like people you're talking about, you talking about
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: masculine games like shooting skate.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: You can have the same five four guy dust you.
- 1:30:57Speaker 10: Yeah, but uh but that's like a guess, like a
- 1:31:00Speaker 10: a hobby, you know. I mean, I know this is
- 1:31:03Speaker 10: like like a sport then, but you you think shooting
- 1:31:05Speaker 10: a gun is like would you call it a.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Sport if you get paid for it?
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: No?
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Do you really think so? No?
- 1:31:11Speaker 10: Pretty sure it plays on like the I mean, I
- 1:31:13Speaker 10: will say this is called shooting sporting plays.
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: Maybe it is, Yeah, but just listen, doing the whole
- 1:31:19Speaker 7: rifling deal that ain't that ain't a sport. I'm not
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: here to I'm not here to die in the hell
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: of whether that's what we're going in the wrong direction.
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: What I'm trying to fucking take bike bass. Spike Ball
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: is a fun game now, yeah, the little yeah, the
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: little net. That's like a beach game.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Well you can do it. You can do it anywhere. Yeah, dude,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: out here, if we had enough room.
- 1:31:37Speaker 7: Spike ball surnament, I think it could be all right.
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: I don't know what does your touring schedule look like? Like,
- 1:31:42Speaker 7: how often are we on the road. We're on the
- 1:31:46Speaker 7: way right now. We're from the last one to the
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: next one. God bless.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: We had four shows last week. I tell you what.
- 1:31:51Speaker 10: We played at eleven thirty one night last Wednesday, College
- 1:31:56Speaker 10: college station.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:57Speaker 10: I used to do that all the time. And I'm
- 1:31:58Speaker 10: getting so old. I said, he was like five, and
- 1:32:01Speaker 10: I'm just looking six hours before it going thirty four. Yeah,
- 1:32:07Speaker 10: you are old getting there.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you just feel it more, bro, you just feel it. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: Have you thought about taking something for what like TRT
- 1:32:15Speaker 7: or like some sort of supplement CDRT.
- 1:32:17Speaker 10: He starts from replacement therapy. Uh, I mean I probably should.
- 1:32:22Speaker 10: I think if I take something like that, I'd want
- 1:32:24Speaker 10: to wait like as long as I could, like getting
- 1:32:26Speaker 10: a hip or place. It's gonna last you a few years.
- 1:32:28Speaker 10: You're gonna do it again. Yeah, I don't want to
- 1:32:29Speaker 10: be like hooked on something the rest of my life.
- 1:32:31Speaker 10: As as I still get out of bed and like
- 1:32:33Speaker 10: maintain us around.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: A little to get some stuff out there, you'll be
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: solid if you ever got off of it. I know
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: I was gonna get medical advice here.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:32:39Speaker 7: We're here for you, buddy. We're we're like a jack
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: of all trades podcast. Yeah, we can talk a little
- 1:32:43Speaker 7: bit about everything.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we're here for you. We had do something to
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: your talk.
- 1:32:47Speaker 7: I would love to do. I want to ask him
- 1:32:48Speaker 7: about his uh, his hunting. Dude loves his hunting.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: You're gonna come down, turkyo. Yes, we we have to
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: come down.
- 1:32:55Speaker 7: You're hunting. You send me a photo. What was the
- 1:32:57Speaker 7: last you You got a big one in Illinois?
- 1:33:01Speaker 10: Uh, I don't know if I kill one Illinois. I
- 1:33:03Speaker 10: killed a big deer in Arkansas. Doer out hunted a
- 1:33:05Speaker 10: few years, big deer down there.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Uh. Now these ranches you have are just uh you
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: got buddies who It's a little bit of everything.
- 1:33:13Speaker 10: It's some of us leases that I've had for a while,
- 1:33:15Speaker 10: some of us my property, some of us buddies property.
- 1:33:18Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:19Speaker 10: Uh, I don't got the time to go like I
- 1:33:21Speaker 10: used to, but I think I enjoyed it for different reasons.
- 1:33:24Speaker 10: I used to be really like it's kind of a
- 1:33:26Speaker 10: competitive thing. You and your buddies all hunt, like who
- 1:33:28Speaker 10: did this, Who got the most ducks, the biggest deer
- 1:33:30Speaker 10: or whatever. Now I just like going somewhere that phone
- 1:33:32Speaker 10: doesn't work, that nobody's at and it's quiet.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, that's that's what's your favorite thing to hunt?
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: That's tough. It changes. Uh by now it's turkey season.
- 1:33:41Speaker 10: That's I'm just right around, just cuts the turkeys and
- 1:33:44Speaker 10: fields I see. I get pretty mad at them. But
- 1:33:47Speaker 10: uh well, I didn't have anybody show me how to
- 1:33:50Speaker 10: hunt when I was growing up. My dad just worked
- 1:33:52Speaker 10: at construction work and you never got into it. So
- 1:33:54Speaker 10: I can remember turkey hunting for about three years without
- 1:33:56Speaker 10: even getting close to kill them.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: I hate turkey, Just mad at them, just mad at them.
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: I heard birds are like the most fun social way
- 1:34:04Speaker 7: to hunt because you can, like with ducks, like all
- 1:34:07Speaker 7: sitting in a blind, not turkeys.
- 1:34:08Speaker 10: Not turkeys, No, well, I mean any kind of like
- 1:34:10Speaker 10: upland bird, like quail, pheasant. You're walking around kind of interacting.
- 1:34:14Speaker 10: Duck hunt, you're sitting in the blind, your buddies. You know,
- 1:34:16Speaker 10: that's very much a social hunter. He's gonna be like
- 1:34:18Speaker 10: motion turkey. Turkeys can see like you wouldn't believe it. Really, yeah,
- 1:34:23Speaker 10: I mean turkey be like four hundred yards out in
- 1:34:24Speaker 10: the field and like scratch your nose and take off.
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: What was the thing about like a bird? Because I'll
- 1:34:29Speaker 10: be driving down the road and I'll see fifty of them.
- 1:34:31Speaker 10: Oh yeah, yeah, I was hunting. The label president was
- 1:34:35Speaker 10: sending pictures of turkey like in his neighborhood, like chased
- 1:34:37Speaker 10: him to his house and because on this morning walk
- 1:34:39Speaker 10: and I'm running all over the place trying to kill one.
- 1:34:41Speaker 10: But it's uh, it's the like back and forth. You're
- 1:34:43Speaker 10: calling to it, acting like a hen. They're gobbling, trying
- 1:34:46Speaker 10: and you're trying to find them and make them and
- 1:34:47Speaker 10: they yeah, like I said, they're they're they're tough fact
- 1:34:50Speaker 10: fishing the turkey, that's right, love little fan, little fake,
- 1:34:55Speaker 10: you know, like shaking his butt.
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: I went turkey hunting one time and it was like
- 1:34:59Speaker 7: three of us were walking back to the cabin and
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: all of a sudden, Tom right Tom like pops up
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: and then everyone like got on a knee and one
- 1:35:06Speaker 7: to just held the fan up and he started calling
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: the things like what the fuck's going on over there?
- 1:35:10Speaker 7: That's a weird looking turkey in a running away you
- 1:35:13Speaker 7: didn't have an opportunity to get. It was like the
- 1:35:15Speaker 7: first time I turkey. And I've been hunting like three
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: times in my life, real deer hunting in Louisiana one
- 1:35:19Speaker 7: time that is that in like a little blind or
- 1:35:21Speaker 7: whatever it's called a stand who'd you go with? Then
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: Drew Dilio, we'll see him this weekend in l s U.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: And uh, it's got out.
- 1:35:29Speaker 7: Drew Dilio don and I sit there for three and
- 1:35:32Speaker 7: a half hours, and I saw a bunny rabbit and
- 1:35:33Speaker 7: a butterfly, and I was like, what the fuck am
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: I doing here? And plus it's like you gotta be
- 1:35:36Speaker 7: quiet the whole time. It's very difficult for me to
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: do you've got a lot of energy going on over here.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: And then I got to.
- 1:35:43Speaker 7: I'll just move around, the bus will start. Yeah, but
- 1:35:46Speaker 7: I did that and I went turkey honey. And so
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: I need to get out there and really kill something
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: to feel it. Yeah, I feel I want to feel
- 1:35:52Speaker 7: a lot. I want to like fight a bore or
- 1:35:55Speaker 7: something like that. I want to do something real. I
- 1:35:56Speaker 7: want to do something dangerous. I don't want to just uh,
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: I want to do something precise, like mile away, get them.
- 1:36:03Speaker 7: We're checking the wind a little bit more than like that. Yeah,
- 1:36:05Speaker 7: you fucking take his ass out. That's a good shot
- 1:36:07Speaker 7: right in the ribs.
- 1:36:08Speaker 10: Different then like you're you're you go sitting a blind
- 1:36:10Speaker 10: somewhere somebody had up and wait for a deer to
- 1:36:12Speaker 10: walk out. I enjoyed the like I bow hunt. So
- 1:36:15Speaker 10: you got to get a lot closer to the animal.
- 1:36:17Speaker 10: So you have to really like what tree you picked
- 1:36:18Speaker 10: to put your climate standing in and makes that much
- 1:36:20Speaker 10: of a difference, you know, So I like the you know,
- 1:36:22Speaker 10: the wind's gotta be right.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: Where do you think the deer's betting at? Versus? What's
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: he where's he eating? Where's he going?
- 1:36:26Speaker 10: With times moving checking cameras all the time and trying
- 1:36:28Speaker 10: to like that cat and mouse of it is.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: What I enjoy.
- 1:36:30Speaker 7: Yeah, you're the You're the reason why if any other
- 1:36:32Speaker 7: country ever tried to infiltrate America. Like we're relying on
- 1:36:35Speaker 7: people like you. You have the cameras you have to
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: feed you. We're watching these people walk around me. I'm
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: dead quickly. I'm probably coming over to your house as fast.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: Just so y'all come down to the farmer shore where
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: things that you can hide out down there. I was
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: just put me in a foxhole or something like that.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: We'll be all right. You enjoyed the game of the strategy.
- 1:36:51Speaker 10: Yes, yeah, I mean I like I like thinking about
- 1:36:53Speaker 10: it when I'm not even hunting, like thinking about man,
- 1:36:55Speaker 10: I wonder if that deer is gonna So this year
- 1:36:57Speaker 10: I killed an Arkansas that I've hunted for three years.
- 1:36:59Speaker 10: Like it's a bow hunt only unit, so you can't
- 1:37:02Speaker 10: gun hunt there. And it's really swampy. So this deer
- 1:37:04Speaker 10: like swim to where they bet at. Oh my god,
- 1:37:07Speaker 10: And uh I hunted him, like I said, three years,
- 1:37:09Speaker 10: And I took a buddy over there. We hunted for
- 1:37:11Speaker 10: four days. He busted me going in the stands saw
- 1:37:13Speaker 10: me like just screwed it up, you know. And so
- 1:37:15Speaker 10: I was taking my buddy home, made it to Memphis
- 1:37:17Speaker 10: and was like, man, I gotta go back and stop
- 1:37:19Speaker 10: and got him a rental car. He went home and
- 1:37:20Speaker 10: I went back hunting two more days no luck. Drove
- 1:37:22Speaker 10: to Nashville for a meeting. Sitting in Nashville like, looked
- 1:37:25Speaker 10: at Panama City. So I was gonna go down to
- 1:37:27Speaker 10: the beach for a couple days of weather.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: It was perfect. It was like sixty five degrees in Narksaw.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: Ran in miserable hunt weather.
- 1:37:32Speaker 10: I drove back four and a half hours, got up
- 1:37:35Speaker 10: four o'clock in the morning, sat in the dark for
- 1:37:36Speaker 10: two hours because I wanted to make sure I was
- 1:37:38Speaker 10: and killed him that day.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: That's the big one, man. But you could you got
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: to be mad at you know what I mean. I
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: drove nine hours that day. I was like, you took
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: a lot of shit personal to get that there. And
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: the feeling was.
- 1:37:50Speaker 10: Like just like then I'm good, you know, like if
- 1:37:53Speaker 10: I get that one deer that I was like, really
- 1:37:55Speaker 10: after I don't got a honeymoon.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: He said, you were hunting for two years?
- 1:37:58Speaker 7: Oh yeah, what like when deer season ends, you just
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: like kind of get tip of the cap to him,
- 1:38:03Speaker 7: be like, you won this one.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: I'll see it.
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: Yeah, the battle on yeah the next time. And then
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: for eight months you're stealing. You got a picture of
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: him on your mirror with teeth in the morning when
- 1:38:10Speaker 7: I'm you know, people that messing on the phone, look
- 1:38:11Speaker 7: at TikTok. I just looked through yeah pictures and just
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: watch him. He's still around. God forbid, semi truck rolls
- 1:38:17Speaker 7: by and takes him out. Yeah, because then he won
- 1:38:19Speaker 7: the battle. Yeah.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Uh. I spoke to him one morning, the morning before
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: I killed him.
- 1:38:25Speaker 10: Night now, I was on an electric bike after Doolittle
- 1:38:28Speaker 10: going in and I see some eyes and I look
- 1:38:31Speaker 10: up with the light and he's standing like in a
- 1:38:32Speaker 10: place a mile from where I thought he would be at,
- 1:38:34Speaker 10: like just completely bust me. And I was just like,
- 1:38:36Speaker 10: you gotta be kidding me, and he just takes off.
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: I spoke. So we spoke to this deer before. So
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: I had some real personal after the show.
- 1:38:43Speaker 7: I want to see I want to see a picture
- 1:38:44Speaker 7: of it, because it sounds like this is a hell
- 1:38:46Speaker 7: of a deer. Do you elk hunt I've been I
- 1:38:49Speaker 7: feel like I feel like you, like I enjoyed hunting.
- 1:38:52Speaker 10: The strategy problem is is, like you, it's such a
- 1:38:55Speaker 10: short season and it really to bow hunt elk, you've
- 1:38:58Speaker 10: got to have time to go find to herd. It
- 1:38:59Speaker 10: might take a week two weeks, right right, and I can't.
- 1:39:01Speaker 10: I don't take anything time off, so I hunt. Like
- 1:39:04Speaker 10: if I got Sunday through Wednesday, I'll hunt, then I'll
- 1:39:06Speaker 10: go play shows and keep my stuff on the bus.
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: And you're hunting, you're a lot more flexible. You got
- 1:39:11Speaker 10: to put in for a tag. To elk hunt, you
- 1:39:13Speaker 10: got to draw the tag. You gotta do it a
- 1:39:14Speaker 10: certain time, and I might not even be able to go, right.
- 1:39:16Speaker 10: I drew a tag the last two years, and the
- 1:39:19Speaker 10: first time I did, I had four days that could
- 1:39:21Speaker 10: go hunt, and one of them got cut short because
- 1:39:22Speaker 10: we end up going to play a show in Dallas
- 1:39:25Speaker 10: popped up that I couldn't say no to. So, like,
- 1:39:27Speaker 10: you know, I hate to have that much into it
- 1:39:29Speaker 10: and not be able to go.
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: Because I got some boys in Utah and they're they're
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: about the elk hunting and there you got to like
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: climb mountains and ship and like hunt these things for
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: like you.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Would like that.
- 1:39:37Speaker 10: I mean, like the physical aspect of you know, going
- 1:39:40Speaker 10: after Yeah.
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I think of myself on my face. I'm about
- 1:39:43Speaker 7: the hut on my face, knife in my mouth for
- 1:39:46Speaker 7: fucking moving.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Around the spot.
- 1:39:48Speaker 10: That's kind of hunting, you would like, like you spot them,
- 1:39:50Speaker 10: you go up on a ridge, you spot them, and
- 1:39:51Speaker 10: then you go.
- 1:39:51Speaker 7: Try to get where they're going. That sounds cool, the
- 1:39:54Speaker 7: rainbow style. Yeah, hell yeah, I mean that makes me
- 1:39:56Speaker 7: sound way tougher than I actually am. The idea of
- 1:39:59Speaker 7: doing it sounds all. But you got the mustache and
- 1:40:01Speaker 7: everything you could I'm making. I don't know if you've
- 1:40:03Speaker 7: heard the news. I'm making a bit of a transformation
- 1:40:04Speaker 7: right now. It's coming in where you have to wait
- 1:40:07Speaker 7: and see kind of Oh yeah, easy, now wait. I
- 1:40:11Speaker 7: like those boots, though, I will say that when you
- 1:40:14Speaker 7: uh know, now, I know what I should have brought him.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: Boots.
- 1:40:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I got some eyes my eyes on some Western
- 1:40:20Speaker 7: diamondback rattlesnak boots. That's what I want. Some daily wears
- 1:40:24Speaker 7: every single day. Yeah, anything get you other than converts. Man,
- 1:40:28Speaker 7: I need you to be a little more respectful of
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: those first shoes that ever wore. Still, I've had these shoes.
- 1:40:33Speaker 7: Actually these are relatively new, but I got a parap
- 1:40:34Speaker 7: had for nine years probably where both of these says
- 1:40:36Speaker 7: the shoes right here, dunks and some some vans. You've
- 1:40:40Speaker 7: warned these, you've warned these shoes before you went through
- 1:40:44Speaker 7: a phase in middle school.
- 1:40:45Speaker 10: No, I mean I didn't go chemical dunks. I didn't
- 1:40:47Speaker 10: go through the gink fe No, I hadinkofes. Hold on, now,
- 1:40:52Speaker 10: I need you to back up a little bit of
- 1:40:53Speaker 10: that leap. I had some hot tops that were like
- 1:40:56Speaker 10: this in basketball, but that was like retro, you know,
- 1:41:00Speaker 10: right back.
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: But no, I mean they look good on you all
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: because you didn't like that like that, like the way
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: you said that.
- 1:41:10Speaker 7: Wait, so when I'm on Instagram, I see people hunting,
- 1:41:12Speaker 7: there's like all of a sudden, a there a bear
- 1:41:14Speaker 7: rips up a tree and they say, have you ever
- 1:41:16Speaker 7: had like a no like that.
- 1:41:18Speaker 10: A lot of places with it, But I've seen what
- 1:41:19Speaker 10: you're talking about, Yeah, would be absolutely.
- 1:41:21Speaker 7: They're just in they're like sitting on those little things.
- 1:41:26Speaker 10: Well that bears a little mushery man that there's nothing
- 1:41:29Speaker 10: you can do to get away from a bear can
- 1:41:30Speaker 10: out run. You can climb a tree if you get
- 1:41:32Speaker 10: in one that's tough.
- 1:41:33Speaker 7: I saw some one of people in a kayak fishing
- 1:41:35Speaker 7: the other day and two cubs walk by, Yeah, and
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: the mom comes out of fucking nowhere, charging them, and
- 1:41:40Speaker 7: the dude just rips off a gunshot and the bear
- 1:41:42Speaker 7: luckily like ran off.
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: Yeah. One of the videos bears are story. But I
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: go up to Canada? Did I go up to Canada
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: with my wife?
- 1:41:52Speaker 7: And her mom is like loves fishing, and she will
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: like drive forty five minutes in the middle of like
- 1:41:56Speaker 7: BC Canada, go with this lake you literally have to
- 1:41:59Speaker 7: like hike to for like an hour and we'll be
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: we'll be fishing and all of a sudden, like you'll
- 1:42:03Speaker 7: hear loud footsteps and I'm like, hey, what do we
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: do for in that situation? And tailor my wife heard
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: dogs there, and the moms like we'll we'll throw the
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: dog at the bear and we'll run.
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: It was like all seriousness, yeah, oh, all seriousness.
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: But it's always like if it's a black bearer, you
- 1:42:18Speaker 7: do this, If it's a grizzy beer, you do that.
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: But they're always like bears are fine. It's the cougars
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: you have to worry about because you don't know they're
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: there until they get you.
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: The Mountain Lions cougar because they got to the back
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: of the neck. Yes, that's terrifying.
- 1:42:30Speaker 7: And it's one of those situations like let's say we
- 1:42:32Speaker 7: went hunting, the three of us, we go up to Montana,
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: I can attack or I saw a bear and I
- 1:42:36Speaker 7: was in that situation. How dumb am I? Like you
- 1:42:41Speaker 7: literally are I'm asking myself to be put in that situation.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: I could just stay in Nashville and chill.
- 1:42:44Speaker 10: I love your uh your not necessarily about hunting, but
- 1:42:47Speaker 10: that mindset. I'm like that of like you do like
- 1:42:50Speaker 10: that or don't like that? Don't I don't like doing
- 1:42:52Speaker 10: things that if I was to die doing it. My
- 1:42:54Speaker 10: buddies are like, idiot, shouldn't been doing that. That's the
- 1:42:57Speaker 10: stuff I like. Helicopters don't do. I don't go play
- 1:43:00Speaker 10: shows somewhere. Somebody's like, you want to go up with it? No,
- 1:43:03Speaker 10: not doing that, And like my buddies that are pilots
- 1:43:06Speaker 10: because I you know, all my budget idiots, you know
- 1:43:09Speaker 10: what I mean?
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: Like, I mean, really that would be tough some way
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: shape or for him.
- 1:43:12Speaker 10: You said every friend you have is more on you know,
- 1:43:15Speaker 10: I don't want to putse if I go up with
- 1:43:17Speaker 10: with Lee and we lee. Yeah, you know I everybody's
- 1:43:23Speaker 10: he was he flying with the lee for like any
- 1:43:24Speaker 10: got more money th then he's find was a little
- 1:43:26Speaker 10: crop dust and playing.
- 1:43:27Speaker 7: You know, yeah, I think flying is awesome. I have
- 1:43:30Speaker 7: an obsession with ava. What about sky diving? Would you
- 1:43:33Speaker 7: do skydiving?
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: What am I gonna go through the little duster? I
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: just don't think you know, that's exactly what I'm talking about.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: Release you Scott skot diving?
- 1:43:39Speaker 7: I die.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: All my buddies are like, he gets a wive.
- 1:43:42Speaker 10: Had him the game, a great career, God that you
- 1:43:45Speaker 10: never skydive?
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: I budget jump to you? Would you bune of jump now?
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: For what? I'm just finding the line for the thrill
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: of that.
- 1:43:54Speaker 10: If I die, you got it? Six flags that's not
- 1:43:58Speaker 10: too much. And we were like, well, you know, a
- 1:44:00Speaker 10: wate softer way to go, see what I'm saying. But
- 1:44:01Speaker 10: I'm in hand on a roller coaster and just fly off.
- 1:44:04Speaker 10: But I'm like that that would be a huge catastrophe
- 1:44:07Speaker 10: if I died. Cliff diving or cliff climbing or whatever
- 1:44:11Speaker 10: people do. People like it was he even doing out there? Yeah,
- 1:44:14Speaker 10: I mean would be sad when I dive. Man, I
- 1:44:17Speaker 10: want people to be like moron.
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: If you died sky diving, we'd all be a little
- 1:44:23Speaker 7: we'd call you a moron.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: But we'd be sad too. Thanks. Ye, man, I didn't
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: like that, Jacob was that was? That was my faults. Brother.
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: You ever went through a Dicky's face? Yeah? No, really
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: missed out on a key point in life.
- 1:44:38Speaker 10: I was, Uh, I had a sister there's ten years
- 1:44:40Speaker 10: old me, so I went through the phase of whatever
- 1:44:42Speaker 10: guy she was dating. He was the coolest dude on
- 1:44:44Speaker 10: the planet. Yeah, you know what I mean. So, like
- 1:44:46Speaker 10: I think I became an Auburn fan from that. It
- 1:44:48Speaker 10: was like new balances, I guess for the thing like
- 1:44:52Speaker 10: cargo khaki shorts. Oh yeah, yeah, that kind of thing's zipped,
- 1:44:57Speaker 10: the white the white college hat.
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: They just had the little stripes and the letters. You
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Those I had.
- 1:45:02Speaker 10: I had to fish shook on him like that. It
- 1:45:04Speaker 10: would just be one clean spot.
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: With Larry the Cable Guy fan, I was. This was
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: before that, man, Yeah, I don't know, you're thirty four.
- 1:45:11Speaker 10: Usually Larry the Cable Guy is a fictional character that
- 1:45:13Speaker 10: compiled a lot of stereotypes of a person into one.
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, so I had a get or done hat
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: at one point in your life. Oh Man on Blue
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: Collar Comedy Tour Guy I did, Yeah, Billy Vall, Jeff Foxworthy,
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: Man was great.
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:45:26Speaker 10: Larry the Cable Guy came to a show on the
- 1:45:28Speaker 10: Farm tour with Luke Bryan and we was sitting on
- 1:45:30Speaker 10: the bus and him read Ache AND's Ben a slip
- 1:45:32Speaker 10: a couple of songwriters and my dad was the show
- 1:45:35Speaker 10: and his brother who've never been anywhere, and they come
- 1:45:37Speaker 10: on the bus and my dad's like the king of
- 1:45:39Speaker 10: old man jokes. And I literally just sat there and watched.
- 1:45:41Speaker 10: Lady the Cable got my dad go back and forth
- 1:45:42Speaker 10: with dirty old man jokes.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: That's gotta be something to see.
- 1:45:46Speaker 10: I mean, you guys, my dad was doing like this
- 1:45:47Speaker 10: while he was telling his joke, you know, like getting ready.
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: I got I got it, I got it. He wouldn't
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: even listening to it.
- 1:45:53Speaker 10: He held up, he held up well yeah, uh, speaking
- 1:45:57Speaker 10: of wish this was this was fun for me. I
- 1:45:58Speaker 10: took my dad and his brother first time. His brother
- 1:46:00Speaker 10: ever flown like does not get off the farm. The
- 1:46:02Speaker 10: Nebraska Hunting Uh, my dad doesn't care anything about hunting.
- 1:46:06Speaker 10: He just shout out to the state and uh sorry,
- 1:46:09Speaker 10: and he I didn't know if y'all did it there
- 1:46:10Speaker 10: because I was telling the storry. So, uh, my dad
- 1:46:13Speaker 10: just makes whittles fake arrowheads all day and just like
- 1:46:16Speaker 10: walking in front of throw the we're hey, look at that,
- 1:46:18Speaker 10: you know.
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: So that's all he did. But this is this is
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: the part that got me.
- 1:46:23Speaker 10: So when I was flying him out there, I got
- 1:46:25Speaker 10: him a flight from Atlanta, and I told my mom
- 1:46:27Speaker 10: drop him off whatever, and I was like, man, they're
- 1:46:29Speaker 10: not gonna know how to like get through the airport,
- 1:46:31Speaker 10: you know, like they've never flown.
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: Like.
- 1:46:32Speaker 10: So I called my travelers and said, is there somebody that,
- 1:46:34Speaker 10: like when you have somebody from another country that are
- 1:46:36Speaker 10: like they can't speak English or whatever that's never flown
- 1:46:38Speaker 10: and they have to like get Like there's a person
- 1:46:41Speaker 10: that doesn't I said, yeah, it's okay, Well, just like
- 1:46:42Speaker 10: it's a baby, I need somebody to get them to
- 1:46:45Speaker 10: And so a lady picked him up and took them
- 1:46:46Speaker 10: through the airport, put them on the plane, and all
- 1:46:48Speaker 10: that well, we were in Nebraska and I had to
- 1:46:50Speaker 10: get him a flight back and I thought this is crazy.
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: There.
- 1:46:52Speaker 10: There's in their mid sixties, grown men, lived a full life,
- 1:46:58Speaker 10: and I could just leave him here and they would
- 1:46:59Speaker 10: just have to live here. They could never get back.
- 1:47:02Speaker 10: My dad would like walk up to the Delta thing
- 1:47:03Speaker 10: and go, hey, two tickets to Jackson, Alabama.
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: Police Like, just like it's a train or something. I
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: wouldn't know how to do any of it. My dad's
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: the same way. You.
- 1:47:10Speaker 7: You got to get Bill a little more credit. He
- 1:47:12Speaker 7: made He's made it to Nashville. He's made it to
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: Nashville driving, Yeah, but he still got out. My Dad's
- 1:47:17Speaker 7: never flown by himself.
- 1:47:18Speaker 10: But I mean like there's still like directions that you
- 1:47:20Speaker 10: write down, you know, like I don't know that they
- 1:47:22Speaker 10: know how to put a thing in the GPS.
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: But that's that's seems like it's on you a little
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: bit to help them out with that.
- 1:47:27Speaker 7: Yeah, my dad could walk out of an Applebee's and
- 1:47:30Speaker 7: get lost.
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: He has done that before. Because we moved the car around.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: We were going to pick him up in the front,
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: and he went out the side door and we just
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: literally stood there looking around, and then he calls my
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: mom like, where'd you guys go?
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: Yeah, But it's Bill at the Yeah, you know where
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: he was from.
- 1:47:44Speaker 10: A tough place though, so different, different generation, and they're
- 1:47:47Speaker 10: like they're not worried about being lost because they'll fun
- 1:47:49Speaker 10: figure it out.
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: I don't know if my dad would figure it out,
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: But do you think he would? Yeah, yeah, I didn't.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: Like my dad doesn't. He just does stuff.
- 1:47:55Speaker 10: He don't think about what it's like, you know, what
- 1:47:57Speaker 10: could it possibly happen when like a tire falls off
- 1:47:59Speaker 10: of the truck we're going down the road. He said,
- 1:48:00Speaker 10: I will to see if we can get one another's
- 1:48:03Speaker 10: time to fell off the fit somewhere close by or
- 1:48:05Speaker 10: something like. He just he's not like just optimistic, there
- 1:48:09Speaker 10: is no consequence, mentioning it'll work out.
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of.
- 1:48:13Speaker 7: Older parents really got fox when the flip phones fell
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: off the face of the earth. Once technology started getting
- 1:48:18Speaker 7: in there, really separated drew a line of line of
- 1:48:21Speaker 7: the sand for all those people.
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: Yeah, tough stuff. When color came on the phone too.
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: Oh yeah, come on, come on, guys, what's up?
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Dude? You should get you got all you gotta worry
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: about Taylor every now and then you say that accident.
- 1:48:35Speaker 7: I get a little word myself his Yeah, never know,
- 1:48:41Speaker 7: we always get to Yeah, we always how about some
- 1:48:43Speaker 7: tear talk, that's what we were doing.
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: Yeah, tear talk.
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: Hey, we were We were doing our live show at

- 1:48:52Speaker 2: there's a dead period or anything, just yell oh wait
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: and then just.
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: Y things happened.
- 1:48:57Speaker 7: What really happened during the show is I would be
- 1:48:58Speaker 7: in the middle of telling a story and then he
- 1:49:00Speaker 7: yell oh, and people will just rely and I have
- 1:49:03Speaker 7: to regather myself. Yeah, becase we're in Columbus.
- 1:49:05Speaker 10: Billy Madison, what says the whole speech about the dog
- 1:49:08Speaker 10: at the end, he says, like nip hog football rules.

- 1:50:37Speaker 10: Snacks on the road or something I'm supposed to be.
- 1:50:40Speaker 10: I get to like cheat this is and I thought
- 1:50:42Speaker 10: the show was live. Then you all all rehearse.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: No, well the we can go right now. You want
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: to go off the top, like, let's go off the top,
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: no break. Then we all go hey, many yeah, shout
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: out to going on the line. All right, who's going?
- 1:50:58Speaker 6: Uh?
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: Who's going first? You gotta go first. I'm ready. I'm
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: not ready. I'm not ready. Like that, do it? The
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: back of the bust will go. No, there's only you
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: got a guess. It's just us three. We can add
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: a fourth row. I'm not like you go ahead, rip
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: a few. I got it? Is there is there a
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: right answer? No, your opinion. It's your opinion.
- 1:51:25Speaker 7: After you, after you do your tier talk, we will
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: all go around and give one word about how we
- 1:51:31Speaker 7: feel about how you did then.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: And then we can argue about it. You know what
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: number one is? You got to start tier three, Tier two,
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: Tier one, you start third? Start you worrying? Yeap? Bring
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: it up? Bring it up.
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: Yeah, if you got four, you put on them a mention.
- 1:51:44Speaker 7: I will go first. I'm gonna give. My honorable mention
- 1:51:48Speaker 7: is going to go to my number one candy, because
- 1:51:50Speaker 7: I don't like to eat candy a whole bunch, but
- 1:51:51Speaker 7: I do like when you're on a long road trip
- 1:51:53Speaker 7: you're feel a little crazy about yourself. The long one,
- 1:51:55Speaker 7: get you some sugar in your boss.
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: And that's it.
- 1:51:57Speaker 7: Here at the sour Patch kid watermelons, that is that
- 1:52:00Speaker 7: is my honorable mention. My didn't get real Uh, it's
- 1:52:05Speaker 7: gonna get real meaty up here from here on out.
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: It's not gonna be a whole lot of variety. But
- 1:52:08Speaker 7: I will say, as a child especially, this is a
- 1:52:11Speaker 7: level of nostalgia for me. On tier three, I'm gonna
- 1:52:14Speaker 7: give a tip of the cap to the slim gym.
- 1:52:17Speaker 7: A slim gym as a kid, you get one of
- 1:52:19Speaker 7: those boys, man, that is everything to you. My Tier
- 1:52:24Speaker 7: two is just your classic bag of beef jerky. Beef
- 1:52:29Speaker 7: jerky on the way you're getting that protein, you're ride
- 1:52:32Speaker 7: and you feel a little bitter about yourself because you
- 1:52:34Speaker 7: made the healthy decision. And my number one, my tier
- 1:52:36Speaker 7: one is one that I feel like doesn't get enough credit,
- 1:52:40Speaker 7: but it is probably my favorite snack to grab from
- 1:52:42Speaker 7: a gas station.
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: And that is the pork rynd. A pork rynd goes
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: a long way.
- 1:52:47Speaker 7: You get that a little bit of hot in there,
- 1:52:49Speaker 7: you get the hot sauce is a good crunch, good flavor.
- 1:52:53Speaker 7: It is a It's my number one by far, and
- 1:52:56Speaker 7: that is my tier talk.
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: Guys, don't start back there for your word.
- 1:53:02Speaker 7: Infinated low carb.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: Interesting. I find it stuck in your teeth.
- 1:53:14Speaker 11: That is a sentence salivating. JP liked it. One word
- 1:53:22Speaker 11: to describe the whole thing, Yeah, filling.
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: Uh lost me.
- 1:53:34Speaker 7: I know it could be a negative word, man, could
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: be whatever you want, sucks wrong, all right, it was
- 1:53:44Speaker 7: one word, not three motherfuckers.
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: You can do them out. I can't wait to hear yours.
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: I hope you come with some cereal.
- 1:53:54Speaker 10: Go ahead, brother, okay, Uh, I'm gonna get an honorable
- 1:53:59Speaker 10: mission to yeah.
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Kind of ana. Yeah, happy, My god's here. Mine goes there.
- 1:54:09Speaker 10: It's like, uh, for a long ride, you needed to
- 1:54:12Speaker 10: keep your mind off the drive. Some flower seeds doing something,
- 1:54:15Speaker 10: you're eating them takes. It's never really ends. You don't
- 1:54:17Speaker 10: need a whole bag.
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: That's what you're three.
- 1:54:18Speaker 10: I think that's I think that's my honorable mention because
- 1:54:20Speaker 10: it's I don't think about them. But if I need
- 1:54:24Speaker 10: that thing to keep me fidgeting, you know, yeah, takes
- 1:54:27Speaker 10: the place of that at times. I've quit dipping several
- 1:54:30Speaker 10: times by doing some flower seeds, So going, what do
- 1:54:34Speaker 10: you do with it? Nicotine? It's all it is. Helps
- 1:54:37Speaker 10: the focus multitasking. I'm real focus man, upper lip really.
- 1:54:46Speaker 7: Oh yeah for Decky and we got him back home already.
- 1:54:51Speaker 7: No week, he's gonna text me a picture of a can.
- 1:54:53Speaker 7: He's like, can't help myself. Then it's awesome. Oh he said,
- 1:54:56Speaker 7: you haven't really quit one time. That's really man ship,
- 1:55:00Speaker 7: right there?
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: You expect? Oh yeah, go ahead. Three.
- 1:55:04Speaker 10: I assume those come with a pair of those shoes.
- 1:55:08Speaker 10: Don't fucking laugh at hard boys. Don't fucking laugh.
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:55:13Speaker 10: I'm for the exact same reason. Can I use anything
- 1:55:16Speaker 10: that you use? Absolutely? Uh, watermelon side past kids, just
- 1:55:20Speaker 10: because it doesn't really do anything. I feel horribly candy
- 1:55:23Speaker 10: because it doesn't has no purpose. My only diet I
- 1:55:25Speaker 10: ever have is just a what is nutritionally beneficial? If
- 1:55:29Speaker 10: I don't like the snack a lot, but those are awesome.
- 1:55:31Speaker 10: I get those. Airport all the time.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: Uh. My travel is a little different than y'alls.
- 1:55:37Speaker 10: I spend my life traveling, so I've got a lot
- 1:55:40Speaker 10: more of like, uh, what would you say, like raps,
- 1:55:45Speaker 10: make a lot of wraps on the bus, that kind
- 1:55:46Speaker 10: of thing. But you're talking strictly gas station. You're talking
- 1:55:49Speaker 10: about snacks you can want do we got to be
- 1:55:53Speaker 10: in the gas station with this for you. I'm talking
- 1:55:55Speaker 10: about in the ailes.
- 1:55:56Speaker 7: Okay, if you're on a tour bus of filet mignon,
- 1:55:59Speaker 7: you can't just you know, you kin if you go
- 1:56:01Speaker 7: to bucket BUCkies, Well that's what I'm saying. But anything there.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Uh, I'm gonna go number two here to uh
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: chili sweet chili Doritos, the Purple bag did that.
- 1:56:17Speaker 10: They have so much flavor that you don't want to
- 1:56:19Speaker 10: eat anything else after. So as far as like ending
- 1:56:22Speaker 10: your snack and you eat those and you're just going
- 1:56:23Speaker 10: to drink a lot of water and ride the number one,
- 1:56:25Speaker 10: I don't know what y'all are doing is beef jerky,
- 1:56:28Speaker 10: like going to the gas stat from getting beef jerkey
- 1:56:32Speaker 10: every time. There's seven compartments on my bus that's got
- 1:56:37Speaker 10: beef jerky stacked in it.
- 1:56:40Speaker 8: I'll do my word first. Confused, strong, h solid, solid.
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: Veteran road dog. All right, he william I said, strong,
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: you're all positive. What's wild to me is mine so much.
- 1:57:14Speaker 7: You had two in the same category as me, but
- 1:57:17Speaker 7: where they are makes a big difference.
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: Jerky with two, I know it's it's not closed. Its one.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: It is jerky.
- 1:57:24Speaker 10: And I was gonna give the vicky about that, but
- 1:57:26Speaker 10: I decided it's like, because your bus.
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: What do you so?
- 1:57:28Speaker 10: You so you just don't like pork rins. No, pork
- 1:57:31Speaker 10: runs are great, okay, it's it's tier eight. It's best
- 1:57:35Speaker 10: because you don't think about pork rounds and you go like,
- 1:57:37Speaker 10: no one's like this guy, I gotta get some port runs.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: Pork grounds is a happenstance.
- 1:57:40Speaker 10: You walk them like, oh that looks okay, or your
- 1:57:41Speaker 10: dad or your grandma got the me like, I'll try one.
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: You don't.
- 1:57:44Speaker 7: You have some pork crimes. That ship's fire now. I
- 1:57:46Speaker 7: came in here the other day of pork rinds. They're
- 1:57:48Speaker 7: fire right, thank you, Mitch. So I feel like you
- 1:57:51Speaker 7: know what you did there. I feel you're projecting some
- 1:57:53Speaker 7: people like you're probably going through you know what I mean?
- 1:57:55Speaker 7: My word, brother, I know you got to battle it.
- 1:57:58Speaker 7: I know you're trying to win it back.
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: Why of something can because it's my few of mine
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: on my list a list. But he.
- 1:58:04Speaker 10: Actually had three words, you'll not briefing me next time.
- 1:58:06Speaker 10: I'm just like, let let everybody else win just.
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: In the show.
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: Go ahead, William, all right, mine are I'm going to
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: be specific with mine, my tier three. There's no honorable
- 1:58:18Speaker 2: mention my tier three because I love gas station food now,
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: but my tier three is going to be a king
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: size Reese's peanut butter cuffs. Love Reesei's peanut butter cuffs.
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: My tier two Ranch ranch, sunflower seeds. Love ranch some
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: flower seeds my tier one. And I'm with you guys
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: on the jerky train, but specifically the Tarioki beef jerky,
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: whether it's I'll go to that if you you're getting
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: like the Jack Daniels kines. Sometimes I'll try to find
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: me like a sweet Heat, something that's in the clear bag,
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: like something that might be local that you might feel
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: a little bit better about. But it's always like a
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: Tarioki or a sweet Heat beef jerky.
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: Good talking thanks seeing on brand, convinced foundational yep.
- 1:59:14Speaker 10: On point, I see it, I see it here today, Taylor.
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: This is all right, boys, Taylor's in his own movie.
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: He thinks that's everybody's against him right now, all right,
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:59:26Speaker 7: I did like the sun flow seats. I didn't think
- 1:59:28Speaker 7: about sun flow seats. Those are solid picks. That was
- 1:59:32Speaker 7: my honorable mission seat.
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: But it's where it was at.
- 1:59:35Speaker 10: How can we liked it? When he said, oh see,
- 1:59:36Speaker 10: now we're getting there. We're getting somewhere now, I will
- 1:59:40Speaker 10: say I was surprised you put it honorable mention. Your
- 1:59:42Speaker 10: specific of ranch was a little necessary to me because
- 1:59:46Speaker 10: I don't think there's another kind of sun flower seats.
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: He'll pickle goes a long way. That means that just
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: you said on points, that's what I'm saying. It's because
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: there are some there's a lot of variety out there,
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: but I just get there's I don't look anyway.
- 1:59:58Speaker 7: It's unvating right now thinking about them, and it makes
- 2:00:01Speaker 7: you grab that water. We should do gas station drinks too.
- 2:00:04Speaker 10: I wish i'd have brought y'all some four seasons to
- 2:00:06Speaker 10: their cigars, you know what I mean.
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: I'm fired, We're just like sit them on the floor.
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: What about that? Like Logan's you throw the like some
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: flow seats up to your knees. That'd be cool. I
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: like it. Yeah, it'd bey on brand for us, for sure,
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: it really would.
- 2:00:19Speaker 10: When do you head off to uh we leave at
- 2:00:21Speaker 10: midnight tonight and that's uh, Lucas oil stadm. Why do
- 2:00:24Speaker 10: you leave at midnight? A lot of people ask that,
- 2:00:27Speaker 10: So you don't For me personally, I don't ride well.
- 2:00:31Speaker 10: I've never ridden. I always drove growing up. I was
- 2:00:33Speaker 10: always the friend that you turned sixteen first had a
- 2:00:36Speaker 10: car or whatever. But I don't ride well. So I
- 2:00:38Speaker 10: have to sleep when I'm on the bus. Uh, and
- 2:00:41Speaker 10: you know you leave it, you know dix an afternoon,
- 2:00:46Speaker 10: It's kind of hard to go to sleep. So I'll
- 2:00:47Speaker 10: wait till i'm like absolutely tired, maybe even drift off
- 2:00:50Speaker 10: and walk downstairs, get on the bus and go back
- 2:00:52Speaker 10: right to sleep. You got you gotta bed on the bus? Yeah,
- 2:00:54Speaker 10: you got a nice bus. It's it's it's it's really
- 2:00:57Speaker 10: nice for me. I was really good about because I
- 2:00:59Speaker 10: didn't do any who support my record doo, meaning my
- 2:01:01Speaker 10: label didn't pay for anything. I pay for all my stuff,
- 2:01:03Speaker 10: bus and everything myself, which is good and bad because
- 2:01:06Speaker 10: I don't have to pay it back later. But it's
- 2:01:08Speaker 10: also they're expensive at least and we just got our
- 2:01:10Speaker 10: third bus. We got an eighteen wheeler and three buses.
- 2:01:13Speaker 10: So I was on first a bus with twelve bunks
- 2:01:16Speaker 10: with like twelve people, which was absolutely miserable and just
- 2:01:18Speaker 10: had a lounge in the back. Then we got two buses,
- 2:01:20Speaker 10: and so I've always stayed with like kind of crappy buses,
- 2:01:23Speaker 10: so that everything seems really nice to me when I
- 2:01:24Speaker 10: get a newer one. Yeah, but this is like an
- 2:01:26Speaker 10: early two thousands bus, like polished brass doorknobs and stuff
- 2:01:30Speaker 10: you know from that era. But it's it's got a
- 2:01:32Speaker 10: bed and uh like three or four bunks in the middle,
- 2:01:35Speaker 10: and you know, a kind of kitchen things. So it's
- 2:01:37Speaker 10: it's nice, you know.
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: I feel like when he says he doesn't sleep, well,
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: it's like he doesn't like to like not be in control.
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: I'm always driving part the bungeee the bungee jumping the
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: right in.
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: I'll go along with that. I'm I'm not a good
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: rider anyway.
- 2:01:53Speaker 10: Like I got several buddies that we would go hunting
- 2:01:56Speaker 10: trips and they'd pull up in their truck and they
- 2:01:57Speaker 10: would just get out and get in the passer seat.
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: I drive their truck. They don't. Nobody drives me. You
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: know why is that?
- 2:02:03Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: I just control. I guess I don't.
- 2:02:05Speaker 10: Well, I got somebodies that are, like, you know, making
- 2:02:08Speaker 10: phone calls, doing their taxis. They got the little green
- 2:02:10Speaker 10: visorund stuff whiley're driving.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: I may just get out. Let me you do all
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: that over there because I'm driving.
- 2:02:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:02:14Speaker 10: Yeah, going traveling to me is not an experience. I
- 2:02:16Speaker 10: don't enjoy anything about it. I like to get wherever
- 2:02:18Speaker 10: I'm going, so I don't talk. I just, you know,
- 2:02:21Speaker 10: like you won't do whatever you want of road. He'll
- 2:02:23Speaker 10: be a tough road dog. I'm not, but but you
- 2:02:24Speaker 10: would also appreciate because you just be there. Like you Yeah,
- 2:02:27Speaker 10: you don't have to talk to you and stay awake,
- 2:02:28Speaker 10: lay in the back, put pillows, just go to bed
- 2:02:30Speaker 10: and while I wake up when we get there.
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: Oh wait, yep, how what's the longest you're driven? At one?
- 2:02:34Speaker 10: At one period, I got done playing a show and
- 2:02:36Speaker 10: uh Auburn a few years ago at a fraternity house.
- 2:02:40Speaker 10: Left there at like midnight, got the Jacksonville where I
- 2:02:42Speaker 10: live at two in the morning, picked two of my
- 2:02:43Speaker 10: buddies up. We were going to Wisconsin deer hunt seventeen
- 2:02:48Speaker 10: hours and we were gonna stop every six or so and.
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: Really and through the nights.
- 2:02:53Speaker 10: They're impressive. But going hunt, you know, like I get
- 2:02:57Speaker 10: fired up on right of rock. I'm going, yeah, that's
- 2:03:00Speaker 10: your Is that your number one fairite thing to do
- 2:03:02Speaker 10: is hunt?
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:03:05Speaker 10: Yeah, probably so I enjoy now because I've had some
- 2:03:08Speaker 10: I've killed some big deer. I mean, I'm duck hunt
- 2:03:10Speaker 10: for several years in Turkey, and I enjoy taking people.
- 2:03:12Speaker 10: If I wasn't being as nice, it seemed like when
- 2:03:13Speaker 10: I'm y'all down in the place, I like especially people
- 2:03:16Speaker 10: that haven't really done the lot or haven't had killed
- 2:03:18Speaker 10: a turkey what or like, there's some hunts that I
- 2:03:21Speaker 10: don't care what your beliefs are as far as like,
- 2:03:24Speaker 10: you know, if you don't like hunting, you don't like this,
- 2:03:26Speaker 10: that there's some hunts that I don't care who you are,
- 2:03:28Speaker 10: you would enjoy. You enjoy something about like going duck
- 2:03:30Speaker 10: hunting and being out in the middle of a swamp
- 2:03:32Speaker 10: in the morning, like son just coming up and like
- 2:03:34Speaker 10: knowing that there's no reason anybody else in the planet.
- 2:03:36Speaker 10: It would ever be where you are, like standing in
- 2:03:39Speaker 10: mud in the middle of it, like, that's that's awesome
- 2:03:41Speaker 10: that I didn't get old. We got to get down there.
- 2:03:43Speaker 10: I do want to come check that out. And the
- 2:03:45Speaker 10: video you said of your spot too very impressive. I've
- 2:03:47Speaker 10: got a I've got a nice little cigar room with
- 2:03:49Speaker 10: a bunch of I mean, it's got this kind of
- 2:03:51Speaker 10: a feeling.
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: You know. Well, y'all come down there.
- 2:03:53Speaker 10: We can we can do I'll come up with some
- 2:03:56Speaker 10: fun game list games, you know, and y'all can do
- 2:03:59Speaker 10: my show down there.
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, we would love to.
- 2:04:03Speaker 10: I'll sit in the comfortable chairs. You're not comfortable, No,
- 2:04:06Speaker 10: it's fine. I got all this stuff over here. This
- 2:04:08Speaker 10: in my mine and uh and and y'all can sit
- 2:04:11Speaker 10: on the couch like in a weird angle, and I'll
- 2:04:13Speaker 10: get some of my buddies that that don't have anything
- 2:04:15Speaker 10: to do with it to come, like sit just off
- 2:04:17Speaker 10: in the distance behind some bright lights that you can't
- 2:04:18Speaker 10: look at.
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: Yeah, if you can't tell if they're judging you or
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: just like on on their phone.
- 2:04:22Speaker 7: Place they're racking when they're quiet in the back and
- 2:04:25Speaker 7: you're kind of just talking for great.
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: A minute it's great. Really, it's a lot of fun.
- 2:04:28Speaker 1: The good crew back there. You guys have any question
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: before we let them go? Are you an Alabama fan
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: or an Auburn fan? Well, he said he's Auburn fan.
- 2:04:38Speaker 10: But in the songs from from From from fans, that
- 2:04:42Speaker 10: is a very common confusion. I'm an Auburn fan. But
- 2:04:46Speaker 10: my granddaddy, Lyndon was such a big Alabama fan, and
- 2:04:50Speaker 10: like you know, just was such a fan of him.
- 2:04:52Speaker 10: It was like I kind of had respect for it.
- 2:04:54Speaker 10: So I would say I'm a good Auburn fan. When
- 2:04:56Speaker 10: Auburn Alabama weren't playing and Alba was doing well, I
- 2:04:58Speaker 10: pulled for them to win. There's a lot of Auburn
- 2:05:00Speaker 10: fans through the other way that are just like cheering
- 2:05:02Speaker 10: for any team that Alivan was playing.
- 2:05:04Speaker 1: But I you know, it was a few years when.
- 2:05:08Speaker 10: Nick Marshall and Cam Newton and Alvin Auburn swaped national
- 2:05:11Speaker 10: championship for like what five years?
- 2:05:13Speaker 1: You know your a hype? Yeah, man, pray sure? Ave ever,
- 2:05:17Speaker 1: what do you well? No, what do you think is
- 2:05:19Speaker 1: the best college football conference? A ten?
- 2:05:24Speaker 10: Uh?
- 2:05:24Speaker 1: Who y'all got on? Next?
- 2:05:25Speaker 10: Man?
- 2:05:31Speaker 3: Who's somebody I guess in your career that you've met
- 2:05:35Speaker 3: or at least knew of that you ended up either
- 2:05:38Speaker 3: really enjoying or vice versa, that you looked up to
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: and then found out they maybe were an asshole or
- 2:05:44Speaker 3: something of that nature.
- 2:05:46Speaker 10: That question gets to ask a lot, you know, because
- 2:05:49Speaker 10: my success was so recent, you know, like cause I'm
- 2:05:50Speaker 10: meeting a lot of people and hanging out like people
- 2:05:52Speaker 10: that I was just a big fan of.
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: I haven't really met the asshole. That's what everybody wants
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: to know.
- 2:05:57Speaker 10: But it's like, I think that in this business, every
- 2:06:00Speaker 10: body has kind of been where you are, and also
- 2:06:02Speaker 10: everybody kind of works together, you know, on Nashville, it's
- 2:06:04Speaker 10: really a small town in the industry, and you kind
- 2:06:07Speaker 10: of can't get away with being like that, you know,
- 2:06:09Speaker 10: so everybody kind of pulls for you, and everybody's been
- 2:06:11Speaker 10: really great to me.
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: I mean, I've.
- 2:06:14Speaker 10: I was a huge fan of Jamie Johnson growing up
- 2:06:17Speaker 10: and wrote with the week before last at his house,
- 2:06:20Speaker 10: and like just seeing how similar we write and how
- 2:06:23Speaker 10: similar we kind of grew up, and that it really
- 2:06:25Speaker 10: kind of it's motivates you because you realize that all
- 2:06:28Speaker 10: these people that you thought were this giant star or
- 2:06:30Speaker 10: whatever is really just regular people, you know, and I'm
- 2:06:33Speaker 10: still finding that out, which is pretty cool.
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: That's sick dude. Writing with Jamie Johnson. Yeah, man, it's
- 2:06:38Speaker 1: a I will tell you this.
- 2:06:40Speaker 10: He was tough because a lot of people are right
- 2:06:44Speaker 10: different and some people have like a lot of like
- 2:06:45Speaker 10: they throw a lot of stuff out just random and
- 2:06:47Speaker 10: some of us garbage. Just like there are people that
- 2:06:49Speaker 10: write with that style of just like saying everything, and
- 2:06:51Speaker 10: then sometimes you just pick through it and find stuff
- 2:06:53Speaker 10: the works. Some people kind of write in their head
- 2:06:56Speaker 10: and they'll like try to write a whole verse kind
- 2:06:57Speaker 10: of to their self and then say it, you know.
- 2:07:00Speaker 10: And some people will get really excited when they hear
- 2:07:01Speaker 10: things in Jamie's like just so he didn't give you
- 2:07:04Speaker 10: a lot. So I say a line or whatever, and
- 2:07:06Speaker 10: he just get up, go in the kitchen for a
- 2:07:10Speaker 10: cup coffee and come back sit down, and I'm already
- 2:07:13Speaker 10: thinking about something else because he hates it, you know.
- 2:07:15Speaker 10: He's like, that's one of the best lines ever. I'm like, oh,
- 2:07:19Speaker 10: I've already scribbled it out, Like, yeah, I gotta rewrite that.
- 2:07:22Speaker 1: I forgot I forgot the line already. But that's that's
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: the tough thing.
- 2:07:25Speaker 10: Is trying to go through the personalities of writing and
- 2:07:27Speaker 10: find out how you write with certain people.
- 2:07:29Speaker 1: We'll write a song when you'll come down. Yeah on
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: your show. Yeah, on my show. Nothing to do that,
- 2:07:35Speaker 1: learned to do that. Hey, that'd be fun going down.
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: I just feel like that'll be a good times.
- 2:07:41Speaker 10: Uh came in with this is March, right, yep? Okay,

- 2:08:14Speaker 10: having my own, I don't remember who was it said it,
- 2:08:16Speaker 10: but they had a really cool idea. It was called
- 2:08:17Speaker 10: going in blind. Obviously duck blind, dear blind, but like
- 2:08:21Speaker 10: taking people that have never been or they don't hunt,
- 2:08:23Speaker 10: tell you and explaining all and like let them shoot
- 2:08:26Speaker 10: and do all like I think it'd be really cool,
- 2:08:29Speaker 10: and like getting them different shoes for the terrain.
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: It's playing on, skateboarding up to the Turkey.
