- 2:54and y'all, all I'm gonna say is the first thing I need you to
- 3:00do is look at the cover art on this book. I can't stop talking
- 3:06about it. It is beautiful, a book of poetry and the key of
- 3:12life. And I have my friends. I'm gonna let them come up and
- 3:16introduce theirself again, because you know they they veterans, they've been here before.
- 3:21So missus Jackson and Missus Wallace, come on up, ladies, and
- 3:30we looking for we got one more person that she goes, hey, how
- 3:38are you? I am excited. Well, y'all can tell us a little
- 3:46bit about yourself, but we've got to get to this cover. I just
- 3:50can't stop talking about the cover. So the cover, the words in the
- 3:53book, it's as awesome as the cover. I'm gonna need y'all to go
- 3:57ahead and get y'all little you know signatures on check and get your little New
- 4:01York best seller sticker together. Okay, tell us a little bit about yourself.
- 4:10I'm Cheryl Jackson and I'm one half of our writing duo. I'm the
- 4:19older sister and that little one right there in the corner is my little sister,
- 4:27and her name is Lawrence Wallace. Y'all, we are sisters rock and
- 4:33ryde. Y'all noticed how she said I'm the big sister like you better not
- 4:38forget it, So tell us rock and ryme. Now, before we talked
- 4:49before last time, I didn't know about the rocking and ryme. Tell us
- 4:53a little bit about that. Well, we've always had that brand. It's
- 4:58always been synonymous with all of our books, but I just kind of just
- 5:01started bringing it out more in the forefront because a lot of people knew about
- 5:08Sisters Rock and Rhyme and we kind of just kind of just kind of stayed
- 5:12in the background. But I really liked the name, and I just said,
- 5:16okay, I wanted to kind of tie all of the books together with
- 5:21this third book that we just released. And that's why you see the name
- 5:27now. But we've always written all of our books. We have three,
- 5:31they've all been under that same umbrella. Yeah, And it's sort of because
- 5:36we had a website and that was the name of the website was Sisters Rock
- 5:40and Ryme, And we weren't sure that if people knew that we were Sisters
- 5:46Rock and Ryme, because you know, they know us to Cheryl Jackson and
- 5:50you know Lawris Wallace and they know that we're sisters. They didn't know that
- 5:55was our name. Did not know at all. When I heard it,
- 6:00I was like, I love that title. That is also it is cute,
- 6:03it's it sticks out there. I was like, oh, I can
- 6:05ride so rock in rhyme. That is somebody rock in Somebody rhyme, or
- 6:15if that's that's both of us, that that that means that you know how
- 6:20you remember black Girls Rock? Yes, Okay, well that's what we said.
- 6:29We we rock. We rock at rhymn. So sisters rock and ryme
- 6:34right right. That's so slick because it's like the party is like John,
- 6:47you should have knew that part is like so creative, and that's supposed to
- 6:54be coming back this year. What what? What is black girls? Black
- 6:59Girl? Really? It should it should have never went away. It should
- 7:03have never went away. I really want to know why I went away.
- 7:06I might have to do my research on that one. But this book is
- 7:13beautiful, y'all. I have been raving about the art in this book and
- 7:19I'm looking at it now and it is gorgeous. Thank you. I wish
- 7:27that had it. I should have had it up, and I should have
- 7:30had it so I can just post it up for you guys. There it
- 7:35is there. It is oh even prettier in person. That can be a
- 7:45coloring book, Yo, I'm so dead serious. I can see that being
- 7:51the coloring book I just gave y'all whole marketing plan. I really think y'all
- 7:58should do it. Do colored book because I love coloring books. It's one
- 8:01of the things I use now to keep me seen. So I do coloring
- 8:09sometimes. But I can't sleep at night. I'll get up three'clock in the
- 8:13morning. Color. Yeah, And I think a lot of people tries feel
- 8:20like you do because we've released books, like I said, we've you know,
- 8:26it took us a little while to put this one out, but thankfully
- 8:31this is the first book that we have writing together that actually went number one
- 8:37on Amazon. So we were really really excited about that. Relations Congratulations,
- 8:43it observes it, so you got I'm a miss. I have not read
- 8:52the book yet, so this right here is reve new for me also,
- 8:56and y'all to see me this excited about a book that should tell you something.
- 9:01Okay, so tell us a little bit about the book. Okay,
- 9:11the book is okay. Well, first I gotta go back. Okay.
- 9:18Uh. The first book we did was in dedication to our momb and she
- 9:26listened to spiritual spirituals all the time, so we dedicated that book her.
- 9:33We used like the chapters were named after the spiritual music that we grew up
- 9:37listening to. Our second book was dedicated to our dad and he was a
- 9:43blues man, so a lot of the chapters are blue songs. This book.
- 9:50Because a lot of people kept saying what we want to know more about
- 9:52you, guys. We want to know more about you guys. So this
- 9:54book was about our era. We grew up in the eighties and the nineties.
- 10:01So when they flipped through the book, the chapters will be named after
- 10:05the songs that we grew up listening to. Absolutely, yeah, absolutely,
- 10:09So we did a tribute to you know, Michael Jackson, Prince and you
- 10:13know, the Gap Band and people that we grew up with, Wham during
- 10:20a weake me up before Your Go Go in the book, I used to
- 10:33listen that morning that that was the song sometimes morning that is so. But
- 10:41now the poet the poems in the book, Patrisa, they're not you know,
- 10:46in the eighties, is their current events? Where people can you know
- 10:50we're write in real time? Yes, right, So there's a lot of
- 10:56issues of what we're going through today. It's just highlighted and you know the
- 11:01songs of the eighties and the nineties. I want you to see this so
- 11:05you will know that we're not making any of this up. I don't know.
- 11:09Can you see it? No, we can't see it. You got
- 11:13it too low, I got it too low. Yeah, you got to
- 11:18bring it over this way Okay, that said the Black Condition. Oh my
- 11:30god, right, waiting before you go go that's the that's the chapter and
- 11:35oh my goodness, I really gotta get the book. So that's created.
- 11:45Yeah, are songs in the past, but we are about all right now,
- 11:52right right, So we're all we're all about bridging different We tell our
- 12:03story through music because music is just such a part of us and it's such
- 12:07a part of everything we have been up to this point, even with our
- 12:11mother, with the Negro spirituals that we did with the first book, and
- 12:15then the blue songs that were in the second book. So we said,
- 12:18for the third book, we had to tell our stories with the music that
- 12:22we grew up listening to. And that's what we did. Okay, okay,
- 12:26So what was the Sheryl one of your favorite champters. Oh, I'm
- 12:39such a fan of my sister. I mean, we kind of switched it
- 12:43around. I usually opened up the books that we've had and I said,
- 12:50I can't just stay in the front. I have to let her go.
- 12:56And to me, that was brilliant. So all of her, all of
- 13:00all of the first part of the book with her in it, that's my
- 13:03favorite of the book. And that's the truth. Yeah loocause she signing,
- 13:13Yes, it's my big sister. What was your's missus? H I was
- 13:20about to say lyric it's lyricuss your favorite I have like, uh favorite section.
- 13:31But I do have a favorite poem in the book. And my favorite
- 13:37poem is Cheryl's poem Evolution of the Blues. I love that poem. I
- 13:43was not expecting yet that's the I mean, I love that poem. That's
- 13:48one of my favorite poems. And she also has one of the wind Seekers,
- 13:52and I love that, my sister. What I love about my sister
- 13:56writing is Sheryl is a wordsmith. And you will you will be educated,
- 14:03and you will learn words you never heard before because this this woman, she
- 14:11knows how to really express herself using language. And uh, I just that
- 14:18That's one of the things I've always admire about my sister, Cheryl. My
- 14:22sister, I'm I'm just playing however it come up, it come out.
- 14:28But my sister, she she knows how to you know, fancy it up
- 14:31and make it sound she says the same thing, but it sounds much better
- 14:35when she said, and I'm not mistaken. Wasn't you a teacher somebody was
- 14:43a teacher. Cheryl majored in English literature. I knew it had something to
- 14:52do with with school in English. Okay, okay, okay, see I
- 14:58remember a little things and I think lyrics. Were you the Luther vandros Fan?
- 15:05We were both okay, okay, but I was. I majored in
- 15:13journalism, if you remember I. I wanted to be the next Spike Lee
- 15:20because as the heroic so I was really impressed with Spike Lee. I thought
- 15:24he was the greatest things and sliced bread and I was gonna be the female
- 15:30Spike Lee until I started trying to write screen please. Then I realized,
- 15:35no, You're got gonna be the next Spike Lee. Think this beautiful book
- 15:43and makes some what you call monologs and some logs and some things to it,
- 15:50Like my daughter sai, mommy, you could be what you want to
- 15:54be. And this is me, not your mommy right now. We always
- 16:00do that all the time, people looking at me like did you say that?
- 16:03There? I said, watch it what she says next, Well,
- 16:04I'm gonna pack my bags and go to the mommy depot. It's me already,
- 16:07see Alena. But I see that we have a black Diamond. She
- 16:15says she loves that title, the evolution of the evolution of the blues.
- 16:18So thank you, thank you, Timon. We appreciate that. So this
- 16:25book right here you I read a synapsis and you said eighties nineties. I
- 16:30did read that. When we were coming on and I was trying to find
- 16:33it, we got to talk about the cover art. I can't help it.
- 16:40It's there who created this beautiful piece. Alina Ali is the graphic artist
- 16:49who worked with us to bring this whole cover to life. And she's a
- 16:56wonderful uh graphic artist. This is our first time working with her, but
- 17:02she captured everything, everything wanted the last thing. Before it was done,
- 17:10I sent her a note. I said, you cannot put that cover out
- 17:15and not have a big boom box on the cover. And she was like,
- 17:19what's a boombox? Because she's young, and I said, you don't
- 17:23know what a boombox is. She said no. So I sent her pictures
- 17:29of what a boombox was and I said, can you do that? She
- 17:33said absolutely, And when she did it, she sent it back to me.
- 17:36She said, what do you think is this right? Wow? Wow?
- 17:41Try to shoot it? And I told her is it in there?
- 17:52Keep it right there. That's the cover. That's the cover, Black Diamond.
- 18:00I will inbox you the link to this because you have to see this
- 18:06cover of Close and Personal. It is beautiful, different world Cosby show.
- 18:14It is your whole eighties and nineties lifestyle in a cover. Okay, there
- 18:21was a guy in the background with some cross colors. It was the whole
- 18:25thing because I was looking for this cross to come walking through the side of
- 18:30Literally, it is beautiful. So we're gonna take a break real quick.
- 18:40And you know, I have my questions for you, Okay, questions.
- 18:45Just think of a different world than the characters and yourself. You guys are
- 18:52gonna take a break and we will be right back with Missus Wallace and Missus
- 18:56Jacket. You'll go ahead. Yeah, I like the way it's out.
- 19:26All right, We are back. So you guys, one of my favorite
- 19:33shows from the eighties and the nineties was a different world I can quote.
- 19:37Okay, let me take that back. Season one I did not like,
- 19:41but did not like. Okay, so we're here. Lisa Bonne, I
- 19:45just and the Little White Girl Julie. I could not get that season,
- 19:53but we got the season two oh, it was on so one of my
- 19:57favorite shows has It's a Different World, A Different World? Okay, yes,
- 20:07especially she said, please, baby, please, I will I'm sorry.
- 20:11That's my girl, that's my episode. Do you know how many times
- 20:17I rewound just that part, baby please, just to hear that man plead
- 20:22like that girl. So we're gonna take a little side note. So they
- 20:26had an interview with the cast of A Different World. Do you not know
- 20:30that in the script it was ad libb girl. The man forget is mine?
- 20:36He said, he got his mind and he and he was telling,
- 20:40he was telling, what's that girl thinking about as me? Guy guy?
- 20:47He was telling her to bail him out? And that's what she said,
- 20:49I do she got and they say cut. They never did it. That
- 20:55was a one shot deal. That's one of my favorite episodes. Me and
- 21:00so, me and you gonna we're gonna FaceTime each other day one day a
- 21:03zoom and we're gonna break that episode down saying that is my episode. So
- 21:14missus Jackson, yees, who are you with character of a Different World?
- 21:21It's close to you. Oh please, that's Whitley Gilbert. I am.
- 21:33I am Whitley every day of the week. Yes, that's what I admit
- 21:40that. I can admit that. Oh my god, I would have never
- 21:45thought that. So why Whitney now hold on, sister, Why Whitney because
- 21:51you said it first? Because my sister has all, like I told you,
- 21:56she is a wordsmith. She's always been I don't want to say sadity,
- 22:03but she's always had that, you know, that classy thing going.
- 22:07I've always been. I've been I'm Don Lewis from the show. Yeah,
- 22:12I'm Jalisa. Yeah, I'm that chick. I'm that chick. I can
- 22:18hang in there, which I'm I'm just a regular bra. But my always
- 22:23had that, you know, that regal kind of thing about her. I'm
- 22:30Jalisa. I would have never thought that. I took missus Jackson. I
- 22:37took you for Kimberly Reese and miss Wallace. I took you for Freddy for
- 22:47Freddy. Really, I'm not as weird. I'm not as carefree, you
- 22:51know how like worldly and carefree Freddy was, I'm not. I'm I'm a
- 22:55home girl. I'm more like Jalsa. You know, I got a background.
- 23:03You know it's crazy because I would have never thought bad. Really,
- 23:08my goodness, she is right. I mean she is. She is totally
- 23:14I mean in terms of self image and knowing who she is. Out of
- 23:19all of the characters, she is definitely Julisa, and she can be Kimberly
- 23:25Reeves too, but she is more. She is more to Lisa. She
- 23:30is more Jalsa. Okay, okay, right, So I'm sorry you guys,
- 23:34allergy is really in my eyes when we talk about the male characters in
- 23:41the book or in do you have points that our geared towards your male characters
- 23:47or your points just for anyone and everyone? They are for anyone and everyone.
- 23:52But we definitely go out of our way to write poems to uplive up
- 24:00to living and just spotlight black men because, as you know, they aren't
- 24:10usually put in a positive right outlook. They're usually stereotyped. They're usually villain
- 24:21you know, vilified. They're usually just made emasculated. So I really we
- 24:29my sister and I both her more and more so than I this time around,
- 24:33because I just kind of had my muse, I married the love of
- 24:37my life, and so all of the poems that I wrote about men would
- 24:42have been about him, So I didn't really just kind of generalize it like
- 24:47I did in books one and two. This was more central. This was
- 24:52more about him and my love for him. But we do go out of
- 24:57our way to upli black men. We've done it in every book, in
- 25:03every book. And as as a matter of fact, when I got done
- 25:06with my poems, I told sherl I got to write another poem because I
- 25:10did not write one about black men. So that's when I came up with
- 25:14the poem called the Driven. Oh yes, get this book clean around there.
- 25:21Okay, we'll talk about it with the mother of a twenty one year
- 25:27old black son. I thank you for that. I truly do appreciate that.
- 25:33Me and my son had a conversation about men having emotions, and he
- 25:37said, Mom, men are supposed to have emotions. I said, well,
- 25:38die right now, because it's not supposed to happen. You're a man.
- 25:41You're entitled to have these emotions. You're entitled to express yourself. And
- 25:45if you start to date someone that does not allow you to do that,
- 25:48you need to no longer date that person. So that's the mother of a
- 25:52black son. I appreciate that so much. Thank you. This drip mm
- 26:00hmm, I'm coming you, miss Jackson. So you're thinking your point too.
- 26:03Now, who wrote the drip? Was that? You said? That
- 26:07was you? Correct? That was me? Right, Okay, tell me
- 26:10a little bit about the poem the Drip. Well, okay, I came
- 26:15up with that coin because I was driving to work one day in my car
- 26:19and I saw his brother standing on the corner wait for his bus, and
- 26:23I was like, wow. I was like, even, I said,
- 26:26the black man, he don't have to do nothing. He could just stand
- 26:29there and you could just you know, it just falls off of them.
- 26:32Whatever it is, I said, you know, I don't know what to
- 26:36call it. I'm just gonna call it the drip because it's you know,
- 26:40he's just all that band was doing. Was standing there and he wasn't even
- 26:45looking in my direction. He was looking off, and I was like,
- 26:47look at all of a black man just right. I said, you know
- 26:53what, we need to celebrate that they you know, they just got it.
- 26:59They don't have to do nothing. They don't have to you know,
- 27:03they could just be mad in their own little business, in the own little
- 27:06world, and it's just all over them. And I just love black men.
- 27:11I just do because they got it. They don't have to do nothing.
- 27:14They just all they have to do is just stand there and you get
- 27:17it. Yes, yes, and I've seen that. I've seen that.
- 27:22I saw this lady on TikTok. Yes, I look at TikTok. Yeah,
- 27:26I can't sleep. She was just going up to black men because they
- 27:30had these like scowling fads on them, and she was just go up to
- 27:33them, just polite and said, king, please smile, you're beautiful.
- 27:41And the guys who like caught off guard and it's like, oh and the
- 27:45smiles just became so beautiful. Thank you to One guy actually came up behind
- 27:51her. He was like, you just don't understand how that felt when you
- 27:53said that to me, and I appreciate it, and he bought her lunch.
- 27:57She's like, now you don't have to do this' them know, because
- 28:00he was saying to her, going back and forth, he said, we
- 28:03don't have that said to us, right, And you know what, they
- 28:07always try to say that the black woman is overlooked. But when you think
- 28:11about it, when it comes time to hire, they kill two birds with
- 28:15one stone. They hire a black woman because they got the minority and they
- 28:21got a woman. But the black man is always overlooked. The black Man
- 28:26is the lower stone of totem Pole, and I've said that for years.
- 28:30I think that he is the lowest thing, and so we can't look for
- 28:34other people to lift him up. We have to lift him up, yes,
- 28:38his counterpart. It is up to us to lift him up to where
- 28:42he should be. Yes, yes, yes, Oh that's why we're always
- 28:48making my business to put a poem in my books about them. Yes,
- 28:52And they does not have to seem like you're flirting with them. It does
- 28:56not have to be like that. It can just be uplifting that man.
- 29:02Because you know what, Patresa, I'm like you. I'm the mother of
- 29:07a twenty three year old man and I had to I had to raise my
- 29:12son all by myself, and I had to let him know, no,
- 29:17you are. Maybe maybe to them you're not worth the damn, but to
- 29:21me you are. Yes. Yeah, And if you if you raise them
- 29:25to believe in themselves, they can they can do all kinds of things,
- 29:30all yours of things. You just gotta you have to lift them up sometimes,
- 29:33and that's what I try to do that in all our books, lift
- 29:37them up. And like I told you before, I greatly appreciate it.
- 29:42I love you for doing that. Now I missed dead. You have to
- 29:48pick your point, so we got to drip with yours. Basically, h
- 30:00the Evolution of the Blues. It is a historical uh poem about our place
- 30:07in music. H paying homage to my father HM and and we grew up
- 30:15with the blues and we love that music. And it was telling more about
- 30:23just our background. It was talking about us eating soul food and how comforting
- 30:30the soul food is. Just basically, all of the fine blues is our
- 30:37culture. It is us we are. The blues came from us. And
- 30:42how right you know, all our culture and everything is in the blues.
- 30:48You know, they could try to imitate it and try and sing it,
- 30:53but they won't never get it because because they haven't lived it. They haven't
- 30:57it's not in them, it's not it doesn't bellow from their soul the way
- 31:03it bellows from our soul. Yes, the to me, well, my
- 31:10age, it's like that original storytelling that. It was always a story and
- 31:18m hm. You know sometimes it was my baby left me and took the
- 31:22kids. But they were telling you their story exactly, and it was beautiful,
- 31:30even though sometimes it was heartbreaking. It was beautiful the blue. And
- 31:36we still have juke joints down here in Charleston. They're in the backwoods.
- 31:40You know, you gotta go down a couple of wine and roads. But
- 31:42we still have me and Charlton's history. That is the story. I would
- 31:47love to go to one of those juke joints. I love that. And
- 31:51it's still frying chicken. See that's bread in the mustard I have. I
- 31:56have to do this just so you can kind of get a feel of what
- 32:01this poem is. But this is like my favorite part of it, Patrise,
- 32:06So you just gotta let me just do this part here. It's I
- 32:09am shouts and chats, lost Canaan ballads, Howled upon the Moon, the
- 32:16birth of soulful bluegrass. I am the evolution of the blues, and that
- 32:22is kind of the end part of that point. I love it, Yeah,
- 32:28I love it. The blues was that foundation that kept on going.
- 32:32That's I think that's one of my my gripes about the color purple, because
- 32:37they took out the gods trying to tell you something scene and I love when
- 32:42she was walking through that through the juke joint to get to the church.
- 32:45The best scene of that movie you don't want. So when you're seeing that,
- 32:52that's what's coming to my mind, Miss Jackson as you're talking, because
- 32:57that's what I'm seeing, Like you know, she can't sleep that night and
- 33:01it's tugging at him. It was like, Yo, that's what it is.
- 33:04Because we always it always comes back to the blues. It always comes
- 33:09to yes, But look at what Look at what black music birthed. It
- 33:16went from gospel too, soul, come on, it went from soul to
- 33:25rhythm, rhythm and R and B, and then it went to country from
- 33:31the church and then okay, and then it spun off into the blues,
- 33:39and so we just have a whole Jazz was birthed, rag time was birthed.
- 33:46Look at all this music that we have impacted and we have, you
- 33:51know, and we have really really just put in in the forefront. So
- 33:54when you hear people like Josh Schneider making comments about Beyonce having no place in
- 34:01country music, he had, he sounds like a complete idiot. He sound
- 34:05like a food He's how you gonna tell this girl now? And not let's
- 34:09not mention the fact that this girl grew up in Texas. If anybody has
- 34:16the right to sing country music. She is a country girl. Okay,
- 34:25he's gonna pay for that because this that statement alone. They wait for this
- 34:30album to drop, So he's gonna pay for that. He made a comment
- 34:37about her take up them. The comment was them, they come in and
- 34:40they want to take over. Did she not drop that song? And it
- 34:45went straight to billboards number one and two. So she did that. She
- 34:49came in and she took over. She claimed her place on the throne.
- 34:55She shouldn't have had to do that, because, first of all, you
- 35:00wouldn't have country music if it wasn't for bluegrass, which the slaves say yes,
- 35:07indeed yes. So enough said mister man, who grew up in outside
- 35:17of New York and moved to Atlanta when he was fourteen years old, knowing
- 35:23so much about country music. This is crazy. So my daughter is a
- 35:30part of a dance group that's called the Watotoe Dance Academy here in Chalca,
- 35:36South Carolina, and this is their ten uere and they have this performance and
- 35:42it's called the Love America. It goes from Africa all to way that this
- 35:50is my country, taking him on a journey through music to Africa, Cuban
- 35:57music, whereas we actually contribute to what that too. He contribution and then
- 36:05they do the African attire, then they do that blues music, then they
- 36:08go chains brown and then they're singing. Lift every voice and sing. So
- 36:13it's a journey through music. And to hear you guys talk about it now,
- 36:19I'm physically seeing my child on this stage from African dance to blues music
- 36:25to R and B to now and it's like, Yo, she's taking that
- 36:30same journey and she doesn't even know she's reliving history. You know. Uh,
- 36:37black people. Uh, going back to what you touched on about the
- 36:40Cuban music, you know, black people actually taught Ricky Ricardo from Lucy Yeah
- 36:47how to sing. That's how that's how he got his start, because taught
- 36:53him. He was they He was the Elvis Presley of Cuba, hanging out
- 36:59with the black See you got his soul and stuff from us. Yeah,
- 37:05okay, okay, Well, since we talk about the soul, the rock,
- 37:09the rhyme, the point is the key of life. Y'all gotta tell
- 37:15us what we're gonna get this book. Y'all gotta tell us how we want
- 37:16to get it. You can get it right now, wherever fine books are

- 37:30it will be everywhere. But right now it's an Amazon on Amazon.

- 38:32that, Laura, Okay, Well, I just want them, you know,
- 38:38to get hopefully get something, get something out of the book. We,
- 38:45like I said, we deal with real issues and the things that we
- 38:52have noticed on the news or you know, dealing with things as black women.
- 38:59And I think that the poems are for everyone, and we just want
- 39:02you to pick up a copy and please enjoy it. Don't just get the
- 39:07book, but please read the book. We think you will get something out
- 39:09of it. Sure. Wow, I was listening to my sister, and
- 39:17there's really nothing more to say behind that. I mean, basically, we
- 39:22hope you enjoy the poems. You should enjoy them. I mean, we
- 39:28got so much love and comfort when we were in high school and college reading
- 39:35great literature, black literature about our people and who we were. It inspired
- 39:40us so much we became writers, yes, just paying homage to those people,
- 39:47and it just pulled us up. And that's what we attempt to do.
- 39:51We want to pull up our people, and so we write books,
- 39:59hoping that we do that every time we release one. But Patrice, can
- 40:04I just say, let when we go Back to a Different World, one
- 40:07of my favorite episodes, and this is what really inspired me to become a
- 40:12writer. Was the episode when kimber fully reed, uh did the Nikki Giovanni
- 40:19poyn uh ego when she when she did that coin and the way she did
- 40:29it and the way they they expressed themselves on that episode with the aunt Jemima.
- 40:36Uh. You know allan that I grew up right along with a different
- 40:46world. That's why that show means so much to me because when they were
- 40:51in college, we were in college. Sheryl and I were in college and
- 40:53we related to that show. We loved that show. So if this book
- 40:59reminds people of that, thank god. You know how long it took me
- 41:04to know that there was not a true hell Man was like, no,
- 41:13that's not a real school for real. So thank you guys. So now
- 41:20that I know it's the e book out yet, the book drops tomorrow,
- 41:25so everybody sc book gal audience, please head over and support that book because
