Today, we'll learn how to buy a watch in Swedish. Luna: Perfect. So, what's the first thing I'd say? Lucas: You'd start with: Jag skulle vilja ha en klocka. That means 'I would like to have a watch.' Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en klocka. Jag skulle vilja ha en klocka. Lucas: Exactly. So if you're in a store, you'd say that to the店员. Now, maybe you want it in silver. How do you ask? Luna: Hmm... Har ni den i silver? Does that work? Lucas: That's perfect. Har ni den i silver? It means 'Do you have it in silver?' Den refers to the watch. Luna: Har ni den i silver? Okay, and then I'd want to know the price. Lucas: Right. You can ask: Hur mycket kostar den? How much does it cost? Luna: Hur mycket kostar den? Hur mycket kostar den? Lucas: Yes. And before you buy, you might want to look at it closely. Say: Får jag titta på den? May I look at it? Luna: Får jag titta på den? That's easy. So I look at it, I like it... then I'd say something like Den är jättefin. Lucas: Exactly! Den är jättefin means 'It's very nice.' Jättefin is a common way to say 'really nice.' Luna: Den är jättefin. And then to buy it: Jag tar den. Lucas: Perfect. Jag tar den. 'I'll take it.' Let's practice the whole conversation from start to finish. Luna: Okay, I'll be the customer. Jag skulle vilja ha en klocka. Lucas: The店员 might ask: Vilken färg? So you say: Har ni den i silver? Luna: Har ni den i silver? And they show me one. Then: Hur mycket kostar den? Lucas: They tell you the price. You say: Får jag titta på den? They hand it to you. Luna: Den är jättefin. Jag tar den. Lucas: You did it. You just bought a watch in Swedish.
