- 0:17We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.
- 0:22It's time for The Truth Be Told with Booker Scott.
- 0:26Is the Iran ceasefire in jeopardy?
- 0:29And what about the ceasefire that's gone on in Gaza for a very long time?
- 0:34Is it about to end?
- 0:36I'm Booker.
- 0:37This is The Truth Be Told.
- 0:38Thank you for joining us.
- 0:39I really do appreciate it.
- 0:41We have a lot to talk about, as always.
- 0:43And we will get to Iran and Gaza here in a few minutes.
- 0:47But before we go there, I'm going to talk about gerrymandering just a bit, because the Democrats are losing their mind right now, especially over what happened in Tennessee.
- 0:56The Tennessee legislature was in session this week.
- 1:00They redrew the lines in the state of Tennessee, and they have eliminated all Democrat representation in the House of Representatives now by drawing the lines that they did.
- 1:10It has passed both chambers in Tennessee's legislature, both the House and the Senate, and now Governor Bill Lee will sign that into law.
- 1:19What it did was they drew three lines through Memphis.
- 1:22And if you look at one of these lines, this just district now goes from Memphis all the way over to east of Nashville, which by car that's probably a two, two and a half hour drive.
- 1:34That's how gerrymandering works.
- 1:36And uh Memphis, they uh want to secede from the state of Tennessee.
- 1:40I'm not sure where they think they would go.
- 1:42If you look to their south, there's Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama.
- 1:46You look to the West, it's Arkansas.
- 1:48Go north, Missouri.
- 1:50So I don't know what state they think they would uh be able to go to to make things better for them.
- 1:55But Representative Steve Cohen, who is a jerk, and he has been for a long time.
- 2:00I met him in 1986, 40 years ago.
- 2:04He was a jerk then, and he has continued to be one, but he will no longer be a member of the House of Representatives as Tennessee gerrymandered him right out of that seat.
- 2:14So Tennessee is a pickup of one for the Republicans.
- 2:17Florida has already done that.
- 2:18They picked up four Republican seats when they gerrymandered that state.
- 2:23Texas picked up five, so that's about ten extra Republicans that stand to win in the upcoming primary.
- 2:30Alabama says they are going to do the same thing.
- 2:33South Carolina and Louisiana, Democrats all over the country are coming unglued about this.
- 2:41That's hypocrisy.
- 2:42If you pay attention, look up in uh New England as an example.
- 2:47Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine.
- 2:52Every one of those states has all Democrat representatives.
- 2:56And we all know that that's just not really the makeup demographically politically of those states.
- 3:03We know that 40 or 45% are Republican or independent leaning conservative, and they have had no voice for decades.
- 3:11Because the Democrats gerrymandered like this for years and years, and now the Democrats don't like it because finally the Republicans have said we're gonna do the same thing they've done.
- 3:22Honestly, I don't really like all of it, but I think it's, you know, well past time that the Republicans actually caught up to it and and have done it.
- 3:31So I'm glad that they have.
- 3:33Maybe that secures a seat or two for the midterm.
- 3:36I think that it will.
- 5:44So unless that regime changes, probably nothing will change with Iran.
- 5:49Now let's go to the West and let's go to the Gaza Strip.
- 5:52It's something that I haven't talked about in a while, and I don't really see it in the news that much either.
- 5:58And this is something that I have said for a long time, since the beginning of this uh ceasefire in Gaza.
- 6:06Matt Palumbo and I have talked about it as well.
- 6:08There were a couple of parts of the ceasefire.
- 6:10One, there was just the ceasefire that we're gonna quit bombing each other, and for the most part, it has held.
- 6:16There have been some instances where Israel has gone into the Gaza Strip with troops.
- 6:21They have also bombed, but Hamas has also done a little bit of that as well.
- 6:25But overall, the ceasefire has held.
- 6:27The second part of that, and this was the part that Matt and I both agreed that Hamas is never going to give up their weapons.
- 6:35And that was the second part of that ceasefire.
- 6:37And that's where we are now.
- 6:39If you pay attention and look into it, you'll find that Hamas is not going to give up their weapons.
- 6:45And I don't know what that means.
- 6:46Maybe Israel will begin to fire on uh Hamas again, uh an Iranian proxy there in the Gaza Strip.
- 6:54There was a split ruling from the Court of International Trade on Thursday, and it delivered President Donald Trump another setback in his tariff agenda, and I have always been one that has been supportive of tariffs.
- 7:00President Donald Trump, another setback in his tariff agenda, and I have always been one that has been supportive of tariffs.
- 7:07I thought it was a great idea really to level the playing field and uh bring jobs back to America.
- 7:07I thought it was a great idea really to level the playing field and uh bring jobs back to Americans.
- 7:13And also, it really put a wedge between China and the BRICS countries, which if you look right now, it seems like BRICS has lost a lot of power.
- 7:13And also it really put a wedge between China and the BRICS countries, which if you look right now, it seems like BRICS has lost a lot of power.
- 7:22Uh China is pulling away from Iran right now.
- 7:22Uh China is pulling away from Iran right now.
- 7:26India has pulled away as well.
- 7:26India has pulled away as well, so uh Bricks.
- 7:28So uh BRICS to me is not as scary as it was a few years ago.
- 7:33Well, this uh this this ruling there in the Court of International Trade, uh and I don't know what this court really means to Donald Trump and America.
- 7:42The full scope of the ruling wasn't really clear either, but it is expected to immediately invalidate all or part of Donald Trump's effort to impose a 10% tariff on goods from around the globe.
- 7:55The legal process, however, it will continue.
- 7:58Uh Trump is expected to appeal.
- 8:01The higher courts are expected to weigh in as well as this goes through the process.
- 8:06We don't know what that means either.
- 8:08And before we get off Iran here, before I leave this subject, let's go to Marco Rubio.
- 8:14He was doing the press conference earlier this week at the White House, and here's something he said about Iran.
- 8:19I don't know of any country in the world where there's a bigger difference between the people and the people who run the country.
- 8:24Okay, this country is run by radical Shia clerics.
- 8:27And that's not what Iran and the Iranian people are.
- 8:30Now they may be Shia, but they're not radicals and they're not clerics, and and they just want a normal life and a regular life, and in many ways a very cosmopolitan country with a with an incredible history, incredible history, an incredible legacy and the like.
- 8:42So there's this huge divide between the people of Iran, whom we sympathize with, and who the president sympathized with, because they're the ones suffering.
- 8:49And he's right.
- 8:50It is the Iranian people that are suffering.
- 8:52Let's go back to January and remember what happened there, that it was the government of Iran that killed thousands of Iranian people that stood up for the things that they wanted.
- 9:04And uh and a big part of that also was inflation at the time that was 50 percent, over 50 percent.
- 9:10Now it's over 100 percent, as the uh embargoes, the sanctions, the blockade, the straight of four moves being shut down, it is taking a toll on the people of Iran, and the only hope I guess we have for them is that they do have an uprising and they take their country back.
- 9:28I think that's really where the regime change will come in, and hopefully they will get to that point.
- 9:33I saw this story in Florida, and I thought it was interesting because we see these activists, radical judges all over the place.
- 9:40And in the state of Florida, there was one and I can't believe what she did, actually.
- 9:46And there's some pressure building now to impeach her.
- 9:50That's a really good possibility in the state of Florida where you have Governor Ron DeSantis and you have a supermajority of Republicans in both chambers of that house in the state of Florida.
- 10:00Well, uh the judge is Tiffany Baker, and she released a known sex offender.
- 10:05And this known sex offender, this this this guy gets out and he kills a five-year-old.
- 10:12He should have never been let out of uh jail.
- 10:15And this judge, Tiffany Baker in Tallahassee, Florida, released him to kill a five-year-old.
- 10:20Here is Governor Ron DeSantis.
- 10:22You need to incarcerate them.
- 10:24You don't release them back into the community when you have the option of of remanding them to custody.
- 10:31So that was a situation where I I don't understand how there could have been that big of a breakdown when this guy obviously had a checkered past.
- 10:40He was doing something that I think a lot of people would find very troubling uh by going traveling to meet someone he thought was an underage girl, you know, that he was gonna uh sexually abuse.
- 10:52So the fact that the judge uh released and um and then this tragedy happened, this was avoidable.
- 11:01This was preventable.
- 11:03This was a tragedy that should have never happened.
- 11:06And when you think about that, and you think about Lake and Riley and all of the other ones that were killed by illegal immigrants, none of that should have happened.
- 11:15They should be alive today, and it's sad.
- 11:18And we have activist judges who for some reason allow this person out of jail, and I think there should be consequences for judges like this.
- 11:26This is Judge Baker, Tallahassee, Florida.
- 11:29Maybe she has some accountability with impeachment.
- 11:32There is always that possibility, and I'm not sure why our government, our legislators and states and federal government, they don't use their power to impeach these judges more than they do.
- 11:44In fact, they hardly ever do it.
- 11:46And it's caused a lot of pain for for a lot of people.
- 11:49And I just, you know, i i it's law enforcement.
- 11:53If you're on the beat, it's not easy.
- 11:55If you're a prosecutor, it's not easy.
- 11:57You know, honestly, judges, uh, you know, a lot of them I think could do a lot better in our country, but but it's always it's not always an easy thing that to even be a judge on it.
- 12:07But on these situations, man, can't we all agree that you got to do what it takes to protect the public?
- 12:13And and that was a that was a breakdown.
- 12:15That was a that was negligence, it was a neglect of duty.
- 12:19And I agree with Ron DeSantis.
- 12:20We should be able to all agree on that.
- 12:23If a person is a bad person, let's keep them in jail.
- 12:26Why is that rocket science?
- 12:28Why is that so difficult for these liberal activist judges?
- 12:32We we just want to be safe.
- 12:34We want to be secure.
- 12:35If they do something bad, put them in jail.
- 12:37That's what we build them for, that's what we make them for.
- 12:40Governor Ron DeSantis is at the end of his second term.
- 12:44He will be leaving office.
- 12:45I'm not sure what the future holds for him, what he will do politically.
- 12:48I have heard that he's interested in becoming a Supreme Court justice.
- 12:52And I wonder if uh Samuel Alito, if he decides to retire before Donald Trump leaves office, if they may appoint him.
- 13:01And then you have to look at the midterm election coming up.
- 13:04Because if the Republicans lose the Senate, then the confirmation process is completely different, and maybe you try to get Alito to hang on.
- 13:13You have to think politically way out in front of things.
- 13:18That's another reason why this midterm election coming up is so very important because of the Supreme Court.
- 13:24Alito has made uh comments that he may retire.
- 13:28And if he retires, you would want Donald Trump to appoint someone like I don't know, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, either one of those would be maybe a good choice.
- 13:38Well, if the Republicans don't have 50 or 51 in the Senate, then it it really doesn't matter because you're not going to get the type of Supreme Court justice that you really want.
- 13:49So keep that in mind.
- 13:50That's another reason to go vote in the midterm as we continue to watch uh low voter turnout for Republicans.
- 13:57And let's go to that because there was an election Tuesday.
- 14:00A lot of people are talking about what happened in Indiana.
- 14:03Indiana, you know, if we go back to gerrymandering for a minute, the way we started this hour, uh, Indiana refused to gerrymander.
- 14:03Indiana, you know, if we go back to gerrymandering for a minute, the way we started this hour, uh, Indiana refused to gerrymander.
- 14:11They refused to uh make uh the districts where it would be more Republican, and they have a Republican uh House and Senate in Indiana.
- 14:11They refused to uh make uh the districts where it would be more Republican, and they have a Republican uh House and Senate in Indiana.
- 14:20They could have done it with a Republican governor as well, but they chose not to, and there were several members in the legislature there that voted against it.
- 14:20They could have done it with a Republican governor as well, but they chose not to.
- 14:24And there were several members in the legislature there that voted.
- 14:30Donald Trump went after them, and they all lost Tuesday.
- 14:34Of the seven races, incumbent state senators who had rejected the president's push five months ago to redraw the maps, all losing to Trump backed challengers.
- 14:46And I want to get to this race because of the raw vote total.
- 14:50And I know everybody's excited.
- 14:52A lot of people are excited that Donald Trump put um, you know, his endorsements behind these people that won this this election, and hopefully they will win, also coming up in the midterm in November.
- 15:03But when you look at the raw voter turnout on this election in Indiana, pay attention to the Republican number compared to the Democrat number.
- 15:12The Democrats are really energized right now to go vote.
- 15:16They are voting, and Republicans are still voting at about seven or eight percent of total registered Republicans.
- 15:23And that has to change between now and November.
- 15:26I don't know about you, but I don't want to go back to having vaccines mandated.
- 15:32I I don't want to go back to censored speech.
- 15:42And those things should put the fear into the conservative base coming up in November and in all of these primaries to get out and go vote.
- 15:52You have to go vote, regardless of regardless of how you think things are going, whether you think Donald Trump is doing the right thing or not, you have to look at the big picture here and what all of this actually means for the future.
- 16:05You can't just sit home and do nothing.
- 16:08And you kind of see that in Indiana Tuesday.
- 16:12I think you can take that away from Indiana.
- 16:15It's a great thing.
- 16:16Those seven that that beat the the people that held up the gerrymandering in Indiana that would secured more seats in the House of Representatives, and uh, you know, it's a good thing they're all gone.
- 16:28But look at the the voter turnout.
- 16:31This is what concerns me going into the midterm.
- 16:35Because the Democrats, they're gonna do everything they can.
- 16:38Here is uh Congressman Benny Thompson.
- 16:41He was the J six committee chairman, if you remember him, and he is calling for insurrection and a second civil war if Mississippi decides to redraw their lines.
- 16:53Listen to this.
- 16:54With every fiber in our body.
- 16:57Uh we're gonna have to take this system on uh at every election because it's not just members of Congress.
- 17:04We're talking about state legislatures, we're talking about unit commissioners, we're talking about city council.
- 17:13Absolutely.
- 17:14So he thinks that uh the Democrats have to get after it here in the midterm, and they are energized right now.
- 17:20I agree with what he is saying there that the Democrats are going out there to try to block everything the Republicans are doing, and uh and honestly, I get sick of all of it.
- 17:30Uh the Democrats have done this forever.
- 17:33The hypocrisy, as I said earlier in the hour already, it's mind blowing to me.
- 17:38Look at New England, look at a map of New England, look at California, look at New York, look at Illinois.
- 17:44The Democrats have done this for decades.
- 17:46The Republicans are catching up, and the Democrats don't like it.
- 17:49And I would say that uh, you know, we'll keep an eye on Florida as well, because there was a law passed in 2010 by the people that uh uh added it to the Constitution and amendment that makes redrawing illegal if it's for a political ideology purpose.
- 18:07And I think that argument could be made, and there is a lawsuit coming from Norm Eisen there in Florida to get them to reverse that redraw on the gerrymandering.
- 18:24What's going on here in the land of the free?

- 21:03Oh, you can't say that, can you?

- 21:22But she is running against Frederica Wilson down in South Florida.
- 21:27I'm going to play her post for you.
- 21:27I'm gonna play her post for you.
- 21:29Some of a
- 21:29Some of it may be offensive to you, but I think her message is very important.
- 21:36We're gonna have a conversation with her in just a minute.
- 21:38But first, here is her social media post.
- 21:41Hi, I'm Laverne Spicer.
- 21:43And I read a post yesterday on X where someone was talking about it's okay to start calling black people niggas.
- 21:54People don't do that.
- 21:56That's just so disrespectful.
- 21:59It's like you walk around and you see a white person, you're gonna call them a cracker.
- 22:03Or if you see a Hispanic person, you're gonna call them a wet bag.
- 22:07Uh and you're gonna go walk up to black people that you don't know and call them a nigga.
- 22:13Oh, I would I really wouldn't advise anybody to do that, not less you really want to get up on the bullshit and tilt.
- 22:21Don't do it.
- 22:22Do not do it.
- 22:23We have come so far as people.
- 22:26I mean, for the first time in history, we have black people that are out here that are representing the GOP, and we are doing positive things in our community to uplift each other.
- 22:40So let's not go as backwards by doing dumb shit like that.
- 22:44That's uncalled for and really unnecessary.
- 22:47Because what you're gonna do, you're gonna drive that wedge and against that vote vote of these.
- 22:54So do not do that.
- 22:55Do not do it.
- 22:56You know, we've come so far as people, just don't do that.
- 23:00So I'm saying this to say, let's have some R E S P E C T, y'all.
- 23:07Let's get this shit together, and let's do better as people.
- 23:11We got a f country to say.
- 23:13It's no longer whites against black and all that bullshit that used to go down like that.
- 23:18It's no longer that kind of shit.
- 23:20Because we got a whole influx of illegals that are here that are gonna take over this country while we are still on the elementary level doing dumb shit.
- 23:32So let's get past the dumb shit, and let's get Trump elected.
- 23:36Let's get him in office so we can restore this country back to the way it needs to be.
- 23:42And let and remember, let's respect each other, let's respect each other.
- 23:47Don't let people talk y'all into doing dumb shit that's gonna get your that's gonna get a foot stuck straight up your ass.
- 23:54Don't do it.
- 23:55Take it from me, Laverne Spicer.
- 23:57I know my shit.
- 23:58So there you have Laverne Spicer sharing some real feelings on a social media post on X.
- 24:04And we have her now here with us as a guest.
- 24:07Laverne, welcome to the program.
- 24:10Thank you so much for inviting me on.
- 24:12Well, that was quite spirited, but I think it and actually I don't even think.
- 24:17I know that it comes from your heart, and there is a good reason that you did that.
- 24:23Can you can you tell us what what motivated you to didn't make the post?
- 24:28What was it that you saw?
- 24:29What was that social media post that you said, okay, this is ridiculous.
- 24:33We're not gonna have this.
- 24:34Well, someone brought it to my attention that um the Hodge twins had did a um podcast, and they were saying to people it's okay for people to call black people the N-word.
- 24:49Yeah.
- 24:50And um, you know, and when they said it to me, it just didn't set well with me and my spirit.
- 24:57Yeah, it's not okay.
- 24:59Why why is that okay?
- 25:00Why does anybody think that's okay now?
- 25:02It's not okay, and then on top of that, um, someone that I had worked with last year when I was running for Congress, I also saw this person on Facebook, uh, not Facebook on X, teaching their baby, oh baby, that's about seven seven or eight months, how to say the N-word.
- 25:27And of all people, I was like, okay, why would she do that?
- 25:32You know, why?
- 25:33What's the purpose?
- 25:35How why would you raise kids and teach them to hate someone based on their color of their skin?
- 25:44Yeah.
- 25:45So you know, every they just push a great divide these days.
- 25:51And I I didn't like it.
- 25:53So I said, okay, I got to do something about this.
- 25:57Yeah.
- 25:57And they are.
- 25:58That's what this is all about.
- 25:59And I think you made some great points.
- 26:02We gotta we have to quit doing what we're doing because we are playing right into their playbook.
- 26:07They want us divided, whether it's race and gender, transgender, LGBTQ community.
- 26:13They want all these little communities that feel like they are oppressed instead of having us united.
- 26:20Because if we are united, they can't stop us, and they know that.
- 26:25But we are stopping ourselves because we are allowing ourselves to be divided over stupid things.
- 26:31Right, exactly.
- 26:33And we all know that the Democratic Party has used the race card for years, especially, you know, with the black community, um, so far as relating to the GOPO, they're racist, all of them are racist, and that's the card that they use because um they know they're not doing nothing for the black community at all.
- 26:54So they use that to try to make up and cover the fact that you know, once you vote for them, and once they're elected, doesn't matter.
- 27:02They don't be a bad, they don't help, they do nothing, they do absolutely nothing.
- 27:07So that's why they use the race car all the time, and they're using that to divide us, and we can't allow that to happen.
- 27:15I feel like we've come too far as people, and with everything that's taking place in this country right about now, it's just uh distraction.
- 27:25And you bring up the illegal immigrants that have come across the southern border, and uh you're you're bringing attention to the fact that we need to see them maybe not as an enemy, but as a threat to our way of life and the American way of life, the American dream, and it's affecting all of us, regardless of whether you're Hispanic, you're black, or you're white, whatever it is, it is having uh an effect on all of us.
- 27:50And I think that was something else that you said too, wasn't it?
- 27:54Yes, I did say that because the Biden administration is putting those illegals first.
- 27:58I mean, if they're in Chicago, they're giving them 10,000 a month, a place to stay, a car, and all everything else.
- 28:00Chicago, they're giving them 10,000 a month, a place to stay, a car, and all everything else.
- 28:06And the same thing with New York.
- 28:06And the same thing with New York, they're giving them $5,000 um dollars a month, a place to stay, a car.
- 28:08They're giving them $5,000 a month, a place to stay, a car.
- 28:12They're helping these people get on on the on their feet while we still have veterans that are homeless staying in the streets.
- 28:12They're helping these people get on the on their feet while we still have veterans that are homeless staying in the streets.
- 28:21We got the seniors that have worked all of their life and still can't find a place to stay that are staying in the streets.
- 28:21We got the seniors that have worked all of their life, and still can't find a place to stay that'll stay in the streets, you know.
- 28:29You know, we should take care of America to come first.
- 28:33The people in this country that have worn and pay their dues into society should be the ones that come first, and not these illegals that are just leaving their countries, and then you see them all the time on social media.
- 28:47They get them a place to stay and they are complaining about it.
- 28:50Yeah.
- 28:50They're not happy with that.
- 28:52So if they're not happy with that, why come here in the first place?
- 28:56Yeah, go back, go back to press us.
- 28:59Yeah, go back to where you came from.
- 29:00Yeah.
- 29:01Go back to where you came from.
- 29:03You already sucking the life out of our subsidies and not our system.
- 29:07I mean, the healthcare system and every other system.
- 29:10They getting everything when the people that have worked and paid away can't even get it.
- 29:15Yeah, I think you bring up a great point.
- 29:17I work with these type of people, so I know what these people, the challenges that people are facing in the hard times that they're going through.
- 29:25And the Biden administration and Bidenomics has made that even harder on especially the people you're talking about.
- 29:31When you're talking about low-income or fixed income people, it it's killed them.
- 29:35It's crushed them.
- 29:36And yeah, the middle class is shrinking, but the people that need the most help are hurting the most, aren't they?
- 29:43And really that's what we need to focus our attention on.
- 29:46It's it's not the names that we call each other.
- 29:49It's not the division that they are trying to put on us.
- 29:53It's us coming together to overwhelm the ballot box on November 5th.
- 29:58That's that's what it's all about, so that we can get this country back on track.
- 30:01And I think you made a brilliant point in your post.
- 30:05Oh, thank you so much.
- 30:06And that's absolutely true, because you know, the Biden administration have basically destroyed everything that was going well in this country.
- 30:14We have gases at an all-time high, uh food, yeah, food almost like triple up, you know, so people can't even afford to buy food out of the grocery store.
- 30:25A lot of people can't afford to eat, don't even know how they're gonna eat while we're giving everything to these people that are coming here, just crossing the border.
- 30:34So the Biden administration has like just put this country in total turmoil, and that's why it's so important come November that everybody show up to the polls and just don't come by yourself, bring other people with you.
- 30:49We all need to make sure that we vote, you know.
- 30:52We can't just sit back and say, well, so and Trump is gonna win.
- 30:56No, we can't we can't do that.
- 30:58We got to come out and record numbers and make sure that we vote them out.
- 31:04That's the only way.
- 31:06We know it's no way that 81 million people voted for him.
- 31:09How do we get the Laverne?
- 31:11How do we get the message out to the people uh that are undecided?
- 31:17How do how do we make that message about Donald Trump and not just Donald Trump, but a conservative way of doing things that is better than what we are living in right now?
- 31:27How does that message go out to those people to make them come vote and vote for Donald Trump on November 5th?
- 31:34Have you give that any thought?
- 31:36Well, one thing that I see taking place now is uh, you know, people that were really passive about their thoughts and and and about voting in the first place are really getting involved in politics right about now.
- 31:51You know, everybody is watching.
- 31:52I don't I don't know who can just sit back and agree with what they see taking place in this country right about now.
- 31:59I mean, we got so many issues.
- 32:00Look at the trans issue.
- 32:02Look at the books that they putting in the library uh for these uh elementary kids uh to read.
- 32:10It it it is it's a total disaster.
- 32:12I mean, who would even support something like that?
- 32:15And uh, let alone the sex change um thing that they're trying to uh put in schools, you know, so far as giving kids the right to make that type of decision when you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes, you gotta be 21 to buy alcohol, but they want to give a kid that's five years old the right to make a gender change uh on their body.
- 32:44So we got you know, we got people trying to take away our rights, our freedom of speech, the second amendment rights.
- 32:51We got all types of things that uh are taking place in this country.
- 32:56So now it's not the time to just sit back, you know.
- 33:00You got we need everybody need to be taking a stand.
- 33:03Yeah, yeah.
- 33:04Everybody needs to be standing up right about now.
- 33:07And you need to get loud too.
- 33:08People I think they have been too quiet over the last three or four or five years.
- 33:13And maybe they haven't been awake, but or maybe there's been a fear to say anything because they didn't want to ruffle anyone's feathers.
- 33:20What's time to ruffle feathers, I believe, before it's too late.
- 33:23And you know, you and I are about the same age, and I have never really in my life seen systemic racism, but that's another thing that the Democrats throw out all the time.
- 33:34Systemic racism.
- 33:36And I I just don't see evidence of it.
- 33:38In fact, I put a post out this week that said there are now 62 members of Congress that are black from the black community.
- 33:46That is a record.
- 33:48And it's only a record because of black people representing majority white districts.
- 33:55If it was a systemic racist country, that would not be the case.
- 34:04That says a lot.
- 34:05It doesn't match with the story that the Democrats try to say when it's they say it's systemic racism.
- 34:11And I know through my life at 58 years old, it's just not what I saw.
- 34:16And we're about the same age, we're both Gen Xers.
- 34:19And I don't think you saw that either, did you, Laverne?
- 34:22Well, one thing that I did see is uh for the politicians that are black and pushing their race narrative.
- 34:29The strangest thing is that all of them are married to white people, amala happens, married to a white man.
- 34:35Um, the same one, Miss Beetlejuice that was the uh mayor in Chicago, married to a white woman, Beetlejuice, Lightfoot, mayor Lightfoot.
- 34:44Yeah, you got it, bingo.
- 34:46So all of them, all of them that are pushing that narrative are married to white people.
- 34:53Okay, that's strange.
- 34:56You know, doing the same thing, all of them, all of them.
- 34:59They say one thing with their mouth, but of course, we that read, and we that are on point with everything, we know what is going on out here.
- 35:00Say one thing with their mouth, but of course, we that read and we that are on point with everything, we know what is going on out here.
- 35:09So we see the handwriting on the wall.
- 35:09So we see the handwriting on the wall.
- 35:12So they saying one thing, but they're doing another.
- 35:12So they saying one thing, but they're doing another.
- 35:15Laverne, do you sense a pendulum is changing?
- 35:15Laverne, do you sense a pendulum is changing?
- 35:18Is it swinging back toward the conservative side right now?
- 35:18Is it swinging back toward the conservative side right now?
- 35:21Can you feel that momentum?
- 35:21Can you feel that momentum?
- 35:23Uh, the momentum is is oh, it's moving.
- 35:23Uh, the momentum is is oh, it's moving.
- 35:26It is here, people.
- 35:26It is here, people, it is moving, and I can tell you that.
- 35:28It is moving, and I can tell you that because the first time I ran for Congress in 2020 as a conservative on my ex-platform.
- 35:38Um, people were always in my inbox, calling me all type of names.
- 35:42How could you do that?
- 35:43How could you lead the Democratic Party?
- 35:46You uh sambo and you are this and you are that.
- 35:50Now, every platform that I'm on, I hear so many people say yes, I'm supporting the Republican Party.
- 35:58I am a conservative, and these are black people.
- 36:02These are black people that I'm seeing expressing themselves that way.
- 36:06And that's because so many of us came forward and we said, Listen, it's timeout for believing the Democrats' lies.
- 36:15We have been lied to as people for years.
- 36:18You know, it started with that project system with Lyndon B.
- 36:22Johnson when they started those projects that destroyed the black community, took the fathers out of the home, and then we got a career politician, Joe Biden that's been in office for 47 years, and him and Clinton, they did the one, two, three strikes, you're out.
- 36:40Yeah, the crime bill that helped the incarcerate so many black people, and we could go on and on with this, you know.
- 36:47Yeah.
- 36:47So all of this is contributing to the fact that black people are finally waking up because one thing Trump let us know that the news media was reporting so many, so much uh fake news.
- 37:03And they were showing us what they wanted us to believe.
- 37:07Yeah, they were telling us things the way they wanted us to see it.
- 37:10So we had basically been hoodwinked and bamboozled.
- 37:14So, right about now, people opening up their eyes, they are doing their due diligence, they're searching for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
- 37:25So hopefully, hopefully, they will continue to do so.
- 37:30And we, because as a conservative, we all we believe in God, we believe in God, putting God first, we believe in families, you know, we'd be leaving generational, creating generational wealth and everything else.
- 37:44So, you know, how can you not want to be a conservative at the end of the day?
- 37:50Yeah.
- 37:50Laverne, thank you for the conversation.
- 37:52It's been wonderful.
- 37:54And I think you just said it perfectly, and I'm not gonna add anything to it because I will ruin what you just said.
- 38:01But in your video, you said uh respect and you spelled it out, R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
- 38:07Yeah, and there is time for some respect for the American people, not people in boxes, not in that box, this box, all of us together.
- 38:17It's time to unite, come together and make a difference in this country.
- 38:22And you know, when I when I saw that video, I heard you say that, it reminded me of Aretha Franklin's respect.
- 38:29So I'm gonna go into this commercial break with Aretha Franklin because of you.
- 38:34What about that?
- 38:35Okay, that's wonderful.
- 38:37Thank you, Laverne.
- 38:39I appreciate you coming on.
- 38:40Thank you.
- 38:41Thank you so much for inviting me.
- 38:53Oh, I asked you.
- 38:55Oh, let us back for the chest.

- 40:26From time to time, I like to shine the light on someone that had an idea.
- 40:30Just one person, because usually that's how these things work.
- 40:34One or two people get together, they have a conversation, and something grows out of it.
- 40:38They can make a big difference in your community, your city, or maybe the country, even.
- 40:43I'm going to bring into the conversation now.
- 40:45Patriot Ann Ann, welcome to the conversation.
- 40:48Thank you, Booker.
- 40:49Thank you for having me.
- 40:50And I want to have a conversation about what you did.
- 40:53You had an idea.
- 40:55You and I think one other person had a conversation, an idea, and from that became patriotparents.org.
- 41:03Talk about the start of that, and then we'll just take the conversation wherever it goes from there.
- 41:08All right.
- 41:08That sounds fair enough.
- 41:10Um, I actually was uh born into a um uh family that really enjoyed uh politics and kept a really strong watch on them.
- 41:19I'm sorry.
- 41:20I'm so sorry that that that was your life.
- 41:25I'm sorry to interrupt you, but go on, go ahead.
- 41:28At the time we were too as kids, you know, you're you're rolling your eyes going, oh my goodness.
- 41:32I've got I've got one of those around here right now.
- 41:34So yeah, I understand.
- 41:36You can relate.
- 41:37Um we I had a mom that nowadays I think would be referred to as an activist.
- 41:42You know, we would drive past the Texaco sign and she see a red star, and right away she talked about communism, and we, you know, she pulled us out of the public schools because she felt that they were indoctrinators, and this was years ago, like decades ago, and put us into a school where it is now worldwide with its homeschooling and nationwide with its curriculum, uh Christian Liberty Academy.
- 42:00And nationwide with its curriculum, uh Christian Liberty Academy.
- 42:03And when she put us in, we were in a church basement, and I saw a huge change in what we were taught.
- 42:03And when she put us in, we were in a church basement, and I saw a huge change in what we were taught.
- 42:09We were taught politics in that we talked about loving our country, being conservative and loving God first.
- 42:09We were taught politics in that we talked about loving our country, being conservative and loving God first, and it just left a real mark on me.
- 42:16And it just left a real mark on me.
- 42:19So, you know, you get busy, you get married, you have children, you have businesses, you're working, you're busy, and you kind of get away from the politics a little.
- 42:19So, you know, you get busy, you get married, you have children, you have businesses, you're working, you're busy, and you kind of get away from the the politics a little.
- 42:27Uh, my first president I voted for was President Reagan.
- 42:27Uh, my first president I vote for was President Reagan, and we all loved him and saw what he did.
- 42:32But you know, you're not always on top of everything like you should be.
- 42:36So in 2018, um, we decided I decided to start an account on Twitter.
- 42:42I wanted to support President Trump and just keep up on what was going on.
- 42:46And I thought, you know, this will be great.
- 42:48We'll connect with other patriots.
- 42:50And within a year, I had 120,000 followers.
- 42:52I had a nice voice and was able to have a lot of cool people following me who I really liked, true patriots, and I really enjoyed that voice.
- 43:01But in 2019, Trump retweeted me.
- 43:05He actually quote tweeted me and thanked me because for a tweet that I did.
- 43:09And boy, all heck broke loose.
- 43:11And I thought, oh, this isn't good, you know, it's not good to get that kind of attention.
- 43:15Yeah, I didn't, I didn't ask for this, did I?
- 43:18I know that's what you were thinking.
- 43:19Yeah.
- 43:20Exactly.
- 43:20It was most people thought it was great.
- 43:22I was panicking because of course it brings out all the trolls.
- 43:25So in 2020, I just knew in 2020, I knew that the election was not going to go smoothly because as we all know, he got in very much um as a fluke, a very good fluke, but a fluke in 2016.
- 43:41And so in 2020, I just knew they weren't going to let him have this easily.
- 43:46And I knew our accounts would be in peril.
- 43:48I could see trolls coming out.
- 43:49We blocked more people on the account uh after he had retweeted us or quote tweeted us um than we ever did.
- 43:58So with that thought in the summer of August, it was of 2020.
- 44:03Um, I started thinking about I really wanted to do a website, and I had become really good friends.
- 44:09You know, a lot of people do podcasts, a lot of people are very busy putting in their opinions, which is great, you know, especially people that want to stand up for truth.
- 44:16And I thought, you know, I'm not sure I want to get on a podcast or anything quite like that.
- 44:20I mean, we're retired, we're supposed to be enjoying life, kicking back and with our toes in the sand.
- 44:25And uh instead, I thought, you know, a website would be really great because I enjoy writing.
- 44:30And uh, I had happened to become a really good friend with a really neat guy uh who is a um legal immigrant from Israel.
- 44:40And in my past, I've noticed that the people who love our country, I don't want to say they love it the most, but they get the freedom the most.
- 44:47It's the legal immigrants.
- 44:50And so I asked, he's the tech guy, and I said, What would you think of this?
- 44:54And he thought that'd be great.
- 44:57Just to add in, and this is a whole different context.
- 44:59So I won't go into it in detail.
- 45:01But another thing that took me to this point of wanting to do to get involved in this was I wanted to write a book about how I saw our family who um homeschooled our children, you know, back when we did it was not at all mainstream, a Christian family.
- 45:18Uh we've been married forever, you know, we had a couple of kids here, and we thought this will be great, we'll do it this way.
- 45:25And we saw our daughter get pulled into something, an organization where she got really indoctrinated, and it was told to us that this organization was about empowering young women, and what we saw was anything but, and they'd really been going rough on some of these young women for 10 years, and nobody stood up and did a thing.
- 45:47What year when was that, Ann?
- 45:49Was that uh 2020?
- 45:51No, that was going back 10 years before.
- 45:54So, like I said, I'm not trying to digress, but what in the back of my mind, the whole idea I didn't get on Twitter for that reason, but the whole idea wanted to do a website besides having a voice because I was worried about not having a voice anymore, you know, on Twitter.
- 46:08But the main reason, the underlying factor was I saw our family get run through the mill for standing up to an organization.
- 46:17Everybody would know this organization, it is world famous, it's been around 100 years, and we saw what it did to our family.
- 46:24So indoctrination is not just in the schools, it's in organizations as well.
- 46:29So that together, that feeling, and I was working on a book at the time, and that feeling of what happened to us, together with knowing what Trump was going to go through, because we just knew it would not be handed back to him, even if he won legally this election in 2020, really spurred us on to start this website.
- 46:48So I asked this friend of mine that I'd become really good friends with, and he said, sure, let's do that.
- 46:53And Patriot Parents came about in that way.
- 46:57And we really wanted to make sure that we would inform and um inspire and ignite people to want to get involved, to want to be a voice for faith, family, and freedom.
- 47:12So this is how Patriot Parents came about.
- 47:14That's how it started, and it has grown and grown.
- 47:17You have a newsletter that comes out monthly, and I want you to tell people how they can get that information and then talk a little bit about the inspiration, what the you know, what you're trying to do with it.
- 47:30You also have resources available so people can go to parent uh patriotparents.org and uh find out more information about all types of things when it comes to your child, protecting your child, educating your child in all of those things.
- 47:45Sure.
- 47:46Well, uh, anyone who wants to subscribe to our newsletter, we don't just put people in there, they have to subscribe.
- 47:51It's free, and you just go to our website, patriotparents.org and hit subscribe.
- 47:56We never share the emails or farm them out or sell them or anything.
- 48:00We're very protective of people.
- 48:02Um, and it's neat because we get a lot of feedback from people through our email in that manner, and so we know what people are interested in.
- 48:09But what we did, it was we started realizing a lot of people felt overwhelmed, like I said, raising families working.
- 48:15They don't get in on the real news of things.
- 48:17So our goal was to put out the news when we do our newsletter, it's kind of our take on what's going on, just food for thought sort of a thing.
- 48:25Uh, we do an opening, which we call the rant, which sets the tone for the newsletter, and then we do blogs that will go into specific topics, and sometimes they're even more a little bit um, I don't want to say psychology-based, but day-to-day living base rather than just news, you know.
- 48:41But we like to provide um, we have topics, we have resources for people, we have, you know, under resources, movies and documentaries and a patriot library and a place that you can find things for kids, and we do a um stay informed area where there's election integrity and election fraud and COVID-19 things like this.
- 49:0019 things like this.
- 49:01And um, we have words from the wise, which we have something from you on their booker.
- 49:01And um, we have words from the wise, which we have something from you on their booker.
- 49:05And uh we we do put Save Your Republic.
- 49:05And uh we we do put Savior Republic.
- 49:08So, what we like to do, we're not trying to promote ourselves, we're trying to really promote like minded patriots who have the same worldview, not just in our country, but worldview as we do, and we see what's going on, and we want them to have some recognition as well.
- 49:08So what we like to do, we're not trying to promote ourselves, we're trying to really promote like-minded patriots who have the same world view, not just in our country, but worldview as we do, and we see what's going on, and we want them to have some recognition as well.
- 49:24So we like to work with other people who are trying to do what we are.
- 49:24So we like to work with other people who are trying to do what we are.
- 49:28Uh, we have a call to action.
- 49:28Uh we have a call to action where there's donations and prayers.
- 49:32We just uh met up with Roger Stone, had a fundraiser with him um recently, and put him in our newsletter um and call to action to help him out.
- 49:40You know, this is for people who've gotten in trouble sometimes or just trying to do the right thing, uh, petitions and phone calls if there's something going on in the government people should know about.
- 49:50Uh, we promote heroes, people everyday people we see as heroes like a Mike Lindell and Steve Friend, any whistleblowers that we feel have stood up to be truth tellers.
- 50:00We have a section with truth tellers where we put people that we really respect and like Tucker, Matt Gates, Peter Schweitzer, Rajit Gabriel, people who are really out there saying the truth and not afraid to do so because we all need that.
- 50:14And then recently, a couple of years back, we decided to do a candidates page, and we've everybody we put on there, and we have not just for Trump and for nationwide candidates, but also for people who are local.
- 50:28But we do go through all of them.
- 50:30Uh right now we're really heavily supporting Brandon Gill, who's Dunesh Jesus' son-in-law.
- 50:35He's just a wonderful young man.
- 50:36He stands for everything.
- 50:37He just won Tuesday night.
- 50:39Yeah.
- 50:39Yes, yes.
- 50:40And we're just so happy.
- 50:41He has, you know, of course, he has Trump's um uh support and and we just we just want to see other really good America First Patriots get in.
- 50:50And if there's any way we can help, we do so.
- 50:52And of course, we have a little merchandise uh page, but that's mostly um, you know, mugs, backpacks and things, t-shirts.
- 50:58Uh, we put Trump's mugshot in one on a t-shirt about retribution and decide that whatever we make from that goes back to his campaign.
- 51:06Uh, but we we just like the idea of keeping people in um under going back, not back in time in a negative way, but going back to the fundamental fundamentals of this country was built on.
- 51:22Um, and we've gotten so far away from that, and the best ways through our children and our families.
- 51:28Um, but we don't just say this is for parents because there's many people down here where we are that are fighting for children, and some of them don't even have children of their own, and they're very effective.
- 51:38So, this is what our goal is to get people together and make a difference and be truth tellers and and let other people know what's going on so they can wake up and get on board with what we're trying to do here, which is elect the real next president of the United States, Donald J.
- 51:54Trump.
- 51:55And you are listening to Patriot Ann.
- 51:58The website again is PatriotParents.org.
- 52:01Go there and subscribe.
- 52:03It doesn't cost anything, it's free and get the monthly newsletter and find out what they are up to.
- 52:09You mentioned homeschooling, and it really seems like homeschooling is growing in the country.
- 52:14And I I did see some stats on that, but it's amazing how many people are now homeschooling, but it sounds like you did it a long time ago.
- 52:23What are you hearing from the homeschooling community?
- 52:27Well, it's it's changed quite a bit.
- 52:30It's so mainstream now, and they have videos and DVDs, and they have online classrooms where people can get on there and do um actually uh with other people with other kids.
- 52:44And it's so changed when we did it, it was so unpopular when we did it, and now it's like I say, become um very mainstream.
- 52:52Uh Erica Donalds runs uh homeschool group, and we put her on our um the information of her homeschool groups on our um website to support her and what she's doing, but it's changed so much because when we did it, it was almost looked at as offensive to other people.
- 53:11Why don't you want your children with ours?
- 53:13Why do you think you're a better teacher?
- 53:15You're not a teacher.
- 53:16Why this?
- 53:16Why that there was a stigma?
- 53:18There was a stigma, wasn't there with homeschooling.
- 53:22Yes.
- 53:23And what we found was unfortunately, I have to say, we were part of a couple homeschool groups where maybe once a week we got together and did teaching of each other's kids.
- 53:33And I kind of understand the stigma.
- 53:36And the reason I do is there are a lot of women there, and I'll say women, men do homeschool too, but they really weren't teaching kids.
- 53:45They'd have a school day like, hey, let's learn about snow.
- 53:48Let's go have a snowball fight.
- 53:49Yeah.
- 53:50Well, no, you can't do that with your children because it's a serious deal.
- 53:53And so we fashion a real schoolroom, a bar garage in our home, and we really did it the right way.
- 54:00We prayed every morning.
- 54:01We said allegiance, pledge allegiance to the flag, and they learned every every bit of curriculum had a Christian face to it.
- 54:09And that's what why we did it.
- 54:11And nowadays it's so much more accepted, and you don't get that stigma anymore of, oh, your children won't fit in.
- 54:19Well, you know, as parents at this point, we should be glad for that that we're raising children that are independently minded instead of just going along and being indoctrinated like she.
- 54:30So it's changed.
- 54:31Yeah, that's and we also see that Christian and Catholic schools, they are growing as well, which I think is a good sign.
- 54:39And you mentioned that you were homeschooled, and that was a long time ago.
- 54:43We're about the same age.
- 54:44Ann and I speak from time to time, so we know each other outside the world of social media and outside the world of either one of our organizations, which I can tell you as she is speaking and talking about this website.
- 54:58There is also a misconception among so many people in the population that believe that if you have a website, you somehow are making money on it.
- 55:07And from my experience, and I think from Ann's as well, it is not a money-making proposition most of the time.
- 55:14In fact, it drains resources.
- 55:17And I know that's that's been my experience, and I know that it's yours too.
- 55:21But let's go back a few minutes uh ago in the conversation when you were talking about your mom pulling you out in homeschooling.
- 55:28I can say from my experience in public education, because I was thinking about this the other night back in the fifth grade.
- 55:34I can remember to the fifth grade that we would actually read a scripture in public school every morning.
- 55:40We would do a pledge of allegiance in in court of and and sort of have a conversation about the scripture that we just read in public school.
- 55:49And that would that would have been in the 1970s, mid-1970s, and wow, have things changed since then.
- 55:56Yes.
- 55:56Patriot Ann is who you're listening to.
- 55:58And I know she mentioned uh the being down here, and she's in southern Florida.
- 56:00Uh the being down here, and she's in southern Florida.
- 56:03She goes down there to retire, her and her husband, and you're working more than ever.

- 56:27And remember, you were told two thousand years ago that.
- 56:27And remember, you were told two thousand years ago that you are the salt of the earth and salt without flavor, it has no value.
- 56:34So whatever you do, keep being salty.
- 56:37Have a great night.
