Lacrosse Becomes Varsity Sport in Washoe | Reno News
Washoe County schools are finally adding lacrosse as a varsity sport, a dream realized after 20 years of effort by High Sierra Lacrosse. Six schools — Damonte Ranch, Galena, McQueen, Reed, Reno, and Spanish Springs — will launch teams, with official games starting in spring 2026 and 2027, aligning with statewide NIAA approval.
