- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hey everybody Brian Smith here with the IM team series and your daily influence and today is Thanksgiving and you know Thanksgiving reminds us to pause to breathe to recognize the influence that we have on one another and in the IM team series who and here at iA we teach that influence is constant in today is gay.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: perfect moment to acknowledge the people experiences and lessons that have shed us.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Gratitude is one of the most powerful forms of positive influence we as individuals can have.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it centers us in humility, connects us to others and reminds us that none of us walks our path
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: at the IOTM series.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: I, and we, and let's reflect today on the small and big influences that help us grow.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Guiding us in challenges and inspired us to show up as better individual, which is really the goal that we have at the IOTM series as we come to you every day of the daily influence, right to you and our work.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, some of the things that I've been thinking about today
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just how powerful individual gratitude can be, and it really does start with our eye.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, who we are as individuals and the awareness we have of ourselves.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, have you thought about what influenced you most this year?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: And whatever it was, are you thankful for?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think about that gratitude?
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Who showed up when you needed them?
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a family member, it could be someone at work, it could be an issue that may have seen unimportant at the time, but later really helped you to move forward in some challenge that you had.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then what challenges refined you?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: What challenges made you better?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever thought about being thankful for those challenges?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, by naming these moments,
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Bring our teams, bring our families, bring our communities but more importantly, bring ourselves as gratitude helps and fluids us to be positive.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: And thinking about outside of the eye into the we, you know, no individual thrives alone.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: We are all an accumulation of the interactions we've had to the very moment where we find ourselves.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Our team is made up of the people who support challenge in courage and also who discourage us who add those moments when we're frustrated but that have lessons built into that they help refine us and make us better individuals and thanksgiving is an opportunity to speak appreciation out loud to reinforce the connections that make us stronger and you know
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: For us, this is the B in the IoT.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Having that B line set, being that person who shows gratitude, not only internally, but with our words, with our actions, and with your presence, and thinking about gratitude, also as a forward-looking influence.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's not only backward-facing.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: It can be a catalyst for future influence.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: recognizing and appreciating the past, it whips us to be more intentional in the future.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, this is what we would call smart gratitude, understanding the specifics, how we might measure it and score ourselves and hold ourselves in balance with gratitude.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Understanding that gratitude is attainable.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: As long as we allow ourselves to feel that gratitude and put it where it belongs,
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: and it's always timely.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: But make sure that it is grounded in awareness, aligned with the purpose and express it in this timely way as you can that will help uplift others around you.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: And gratitude prepares us to lead with kindness, with clarity, and it actually shows how responsible we are for everything that is occurring with that our lives, all of the equivalents that we get.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: from external places.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: So look, as you celebrate Thanksgiving, remember this, influence is a gift we give, every day, and gratitude is one of its purest forms.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, it's also a gift that we receive every day.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Take a moment to thank the people who have shaped your journey and take another moment to acknowledge the influence you bring to the world.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: sense in every area of influence that you find yourself.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: And from all of us here at Daily Influence, Greg and I and the team that surrounds us, the I and Team Series and at IA Business Advisors, we wish you a peaceful, meaningful and deeply thankful holiday.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Made for your influence at any kind, intentional, and filled with gratitude.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you have a great
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: on another daily influence.
