- 1:00Speaker 2: This is gonna be a it's gonna be a standard episode.
- 1:03Speaker 2: We haven't done one of these and so long, I've
- 1:04Speaker 2: almost forgotten.
- 1:05Speaker 3: How to do that.
- 1:06Speaker 4: What is a regular episode?
- 1:07Speaker 2: So regular episode? How do we it's been over a month,
- 1:13Speaker 2: well over.
- 1:13Speaker 4: A month, you're looking up how to do a regular episode?
- 1:19Speaker 2: Like how how does one?
- 1:23Speaker 4: This is the one time I'd allow AI to answer question. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 4: I do want to know.
- 1:31Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we're back and if this is your first episode, welcome.
- 1:36Speaker 2: There's a wealth of content waiting for you in the
- 1:38Speaker 2: past three hundred and one episodes, so I hope you
- 1:41Speaker 2: enjoy this. We're gonna play some silly podcast panel show games. Uh.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And they're they're designed to be humorous and or give
- 1:49Speaker 2: us the opportunity to make each other laugh, which I
- 1:52Speaker 2: guarantee we will do at some point. We always do it.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Always evolves into hilarity at some point, if not multiple points. Uh,
- 2:01Speaker 2: let's meet the crew. First of all, he's a gamer
- 2:03Speaker 2: in a storyteller, and he used to be my youngest friend.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Now he is, Aggie, he's a.
- 2:16Speaker 6: When ever it's away.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There you go.
- 2:31Speaker 4: That sounded nice.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Hell yeah, it's been a while, so you heard that too.
- 2:37Speaker 5: It's been a while since we listened to the original.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I like him.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Man, short one is nice because it saves a little
- 2:42Speaker 5: bit of time, but the long one is nice too.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Oggie. What is your favorite non video game multiple person
- 2:52Speaker 2: activity to do?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Oh?
- 2:57Speaker 5: And honestly, playing board games? I guess if not gonna
- 3:00Speaker 5: get too specific, sure to which board games because obviously
- 3:04Speaker 5: there's so many good ones it's hard to choose just one.
- 3:06Speaker 5: But yeah, just playing board games, like I mean, is
- 3:10Speaker 5: the easy one for me.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You seem to dig Scythe enough that you wanted to
- 3:13Speaker 2: teach other people to play it.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 5: We taught Steve and then he immediately fucking killed us.
- 3:22Speaker 2: That's the way it works with SYS for some reason,
- 3:24Speaker 2: when when you first play it, you are you're just
- 3:27Speaker 2: gonna stomp everybody else in it.
- 3:29Speaker 5: It's true because I taught my mother and she fucking
- 3:32Speaker 5: stopped my ass too.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's a good game though, a phenomenal game.
- 3:39Speaker 5: But yeah, board games, board games, Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I like that. I like that. Uh and his opponent
- 3:47Speaker 2: and our other usual team captain. He's a veteran and
- 3:49Speaker 2: a podcaster, and I guess technically by intergalactic law, that
- 3:55Speaker 2: makes him a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie.
- 3:59Speaker 6: It's weird asshole.
- 4:05Speaker 4: I kind of want at some venture in the future
- 4:09Speaker 4: to create like a giant box around me and then
- 4:14Speaker 4: that he's a or he's a weird asshole. I just
- 4:17Speaker 4: pop out of the box.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Just to prop to wear just is that's not like,
- 4:25Speaker 7: is that like a throwback to the old It's Stevie
- 4:28Speaker 7: videos where like the intro has you coming out of
- 4:31Speaker 7: it has you coming out of.
- 4:32Speaker 2: The Warner Brothers. Yeah thing, but but it's but it's
- 4:35Speaker 2: all green instead of the normal color.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's dark for.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Stevie. What is your favorite non video game multiple person
- 4:48Speaker 2: activity do?
- 4:50Speaker 4: Originally I was gonna try to come up with like
- 4:52Speaker 4: very serious. Actually is serious cleaning everybody needs to clean
- 4:55Speaker 4: more often now. Cleaning and organizing multiple persons. The activity
- 5:01Speaker 4: that's not video game related, that's where it's really difficult.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Board games all you already said, which we do enjoy
- 5:07Speaker 4: a lot of same, but I'd have to say, like
- 5:09Speaker 4: role playing it it's all all that tabletop. It's all
- 5:11Speaker 4: the same.
- 5:12Speaker 8: For me.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's like, oh, fall tabletop. Anything falls on our tabletop.
- 5:15Speaker 4: And I agree with that's the best. But if I'd
- 5:18Speaker 4: choose something different and it was still with people, I
- 5:21Speaker 4: mean just hanging out, man, like just chilling and talking
- 5:24Speaker 4: like we used to do the old days, Like let's
- 5:26Speaker 4: get some joints in some freaking special bruise and like
- 5:29Speaker 4: let's fucking just chill out, have a drink, have a smoking,
- 5:32Speaker 4: just bs for a couple hours, like when the power
- 5:34Speaker 4: went out, like we played a board game, but we
- 5:35Speaker 4: bs for like two hours or in Colorado. Yeah, and
- 5:40Speaker 4: we totally forgot that.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Not only did we ignore the television that was like
- 5:46Speaker 5: right below us, but we totally ignored the radio that
- 5:49Speaker 5: was like there.
- 5:50Speaker 9: The entire time.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Aparently we sat there completely without music or anything, just
- 5:55Speaker 5: talking for hours all day long.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it n it was nice. Yeah, I didn't say that,
- 6:01Speaker 4: like conversing with the friends, you know, like everybody in groups.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Fair enough, fair enough, and I'm your host, pantsils Aara
- 6:08Speaker 2: and Aggie hit it.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Some Stars.
- 6:26Speaker 2: And for me, I guess my favorite non video game
- 6:31Speaker 2: multiple person activity is an orgy. So let's let's move on. Okay,
- 6:37Speaker 2: so game number one is gonna I'm absolutely kidding. You
- 6:47Speaker 2: probably took your back up.
- 6:49Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, technically yes, but I think I think
- 6:56Speaker 10: after those, my favorite multiple person activity is like building
- 6:59Speaker 10: some thing, creating something.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, projects, Yeah, I like it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, like I like, I don't know, this will may
- 7:06Speaker 2: be a crazy thing to throw out there, but like
- 7:08Speaker 2: a podcast.
- 7:11Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know what we should do, that's a good Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 2: we should think about that, just one just to see,
- 7:19Speaker 2: just to see. Anyway, let's move on with this podcast. No,
- 7:27Speaker 2: but I do genuinely like enjoyed, like building the board
- 7:30Speaker 2: game table with CJ. That was a lot of fun.
- 7:34Speaker 2: You're working on this show with you guys. Obviously the
- 7:36Speaker 2: special episodes when we put those together, those are always
- 7:39Speaker 2: a lot of fun no matter what we do. But yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: genuinely like making something you know is a lot of
- 7:47Speaker 2: fun with other people involved, for sure. So yeah, that's
- 7:52Speaker 2: gonna be my answer for real or Jess a close second,
- 7:54Speaker 2: don't don't give me twisted.
- 7:59Speaker 11: Yeah, I just remember, or oh yeah, building up projects, yeah, projects,
- 8:05Speaker 11: making a podcast we'll call it.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yes, we'll call it door Boundars. What the fuck I
- 8:13Speaker 2: like it?
- 8:14Speaker 4: We can't get in suit for that.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean technically I don't think so. Anyway, let's
- 8:19Speaker 2: play some games. That's what we're here to do. We
- 8:21Speaker 2: can play three silly games. We're starting with a like
- 8:24Speaker 2: share block. I've got three news stories here, and I'm
- 8:28Speaker 2: pretending that I will have liked, shared, and blocked one
- 8:32Speaker 2: of each of these three stories on social media. Well, basically,
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'm choosing which one I would like sharing block on
- 8:39Speaker 2: social media, and our guests are our competitors here have
- 8:43Speaker 2: to figure out which one I would do which for
- 8:45Speaker 2: there is only one correct combination, and there is one
- 8:48Speaker 2: for each news story. So let's start off with our
- 8:51Speaker 2: first news story. Uh Air India forced to pay huge
- 8:54Speaker 2: parking fees after losing airliner in lot for thirteen years. Else,
- 9:01Speaker 2: we've all done it. We've all lost something that you
- 9:05Speaker 2: really need and you just kind of accept that it's gone. Right, Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 2: it's you know, but there there is a limit to
- 9:14Speaker 2: what you can lose like this and be okay about.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Like nobody could forget where they left their car right right,
- 9:23Speaker 2: never except it does happen. And in this case, this case,
- 9:28Speaker 2: they lost something a little bit bigger.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I need well, you the wrong spot.
- 9:34Speaker 8: I can't.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Changes.
- 9:37Speaker 5: But there's no way they couldn't have been like it's
- 9:40Speaker 5: it's here, it has to be here in this lot.
- 9:44Speaker 9: You think so well, like I forgot what airport landed.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Here's what happened. So Ire India operated a Boeing seven
- 9:53Speaker 2: thirty seven jetliner for decades, like a very long time. Uh.
- 9:57Speaker 2: The plane was retired in twenty twelve and it was
- 10:00Speaker 2: moved to a remote parking bay at the Kolkotta Airport
- 10:04Speaker 2: to wait for further processing. And that's where the plane
- 10:09Speaker 2: stayed for thirteen years. For some reason, the decommissioned plane
- 10:14Speaker 2: completely fell through Air India's like records and accounts. They
- 10:19Speaker 2: completely lost track of this thing. And while the company
- 10:22Speaker 2: forgot about it, Coolcotta Airport sure as hell didn't. And
- 10:26Speaker 2: they kept sending the airline parking bills which they ignored.
- 10:31Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 10:32Speaker 3: Wow.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Finally the airport, after thirteen years, the airport had enough
- 10:37Speaker 2: and was like, listen, we're towing your fucking plane out
- 10:41Speaker 2: of our fucking parking lot and Air India finally did
- 10:46Speaker 2: a deep dive through their records and found out, Oh,
- 10:49Speaker 2: we do actually own that jet. We just forgot about it.
- 10:54Speaker 4: It must be nice to just lose a jet then
- 10:56Speaker 4: just forget you have one.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it's okay. We got plenty of others.
- 11:00Speaker 12: You know.
- 11:00Speaker 9: I was gonna say at that point, why do they
- 11:03Speaker 9: even pay the fine? And I could just be like, oh,
- 11:06Speaker 9: oh it's yours, Sorry, it's yours now.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Weirdly, this might have turned out kind of even for them,
- 11:13Speaker 2: because while the plane did a crew over one hundred
- 11:17Speaker 2: thousand dollars in unpaid parking fees, the old plane still
- 11:22Speaker 2: has its original engines, so it is now it is
- 11:27Speaker 2: now a valuable training tool for ground crews, and in addition,
- 11:32Speaker 2: it's probably gonna be in museum quality condition even after
- 11:37Speaker 2: they trained people on it. So in the end, I
- 11:42Speaker 2: think they made out okay. But you know, poor Kolkatta
- 11:46Speaker 2: Airport was like that, somebody do something about this damn
- 11:49Speaker 2: huge plane, and they just ignored them for thirteen years.
- 11:53Speaker 2: They just ignored this airport.
- 11:55Speaker 9: Like I thirteen years is a long time.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Like what after about what year?
- 12:00Speaker 5: I probably would have been like, Okay, we're getting rid
- 12:02Speaker 5: of this shit.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah that long.
- 12:04Speaker 9: Thirteen years is a long time to finally like somebody
- 12:07Speaker 9: must have lost like track of time over there as well.
- 12:11Speaker 9: It must really not have been in their way that much.
- 12:14Speaker 9: If it took them thirteen years to complain about it.
- 12:16Speaker 4: It was just a back lot.
- 12:18Speaker 9: To finally be like, that's it for throwing it out.
- 12:22Speaker 4: You tell me that's not Danny's jet. He's here every night.
- 12:25Speaker 9: And it's even funny when it takes till that moment
- 12:27Speaker 9: for the other people who be like, oh, yeah it
- 12:29Speaker 9: is Is it is ours?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Or is this if they were.
- 12:31Speaker 9: Trying to purposely get away with just housing it there.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't ever just being cheap and I didn't
- 12:39Speaker 4: want to pay.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Especially if they made out with it in the end.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Maybe they were, maybe there was plans of decommissioning it anyways,
- 12:45Speaker 5: and this was just kind of some weird.
- 12:48Speaker 4: They didn't have to think about it.
- 12:49Speaker 5: So now you're like a long term investment thing.
- 12:53Speaker 2: All I can tell you is that I work for
- 12:54Speaker 2: a company that also maintains a fleet of machines, and
- 12:57Speaker 2: we've lost one before. You know, that's that's happened.
- 13:01Speaker 4: It's literally happened this multimillion dollars supposed to like I know, like.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Where did it go? We're still like what anyway? I mean,
- 13:15Speaker 2: we're still talking like a fucking big machine. Any jet
- 13:20Speaker 2: not not a jet size certainly not anyway. Let's move
- 13:25Speaker 2: on to story number two. The movie z Utopia Too
- 13:29Speaker 2: is such a hit in China that people are rushing
- 13:32Speaker 2: to buy lethal pit vipers, So Zootopia two features. Zotobia
- 13:40Speaker 2: Too features a bright blue snake named Gary, and Gary
- 13:45Speaker 2: has apparently made an impression, at least at least in China.
- 13:51Speaker 2: In China, Gary is huge. For some reason, the Chinese
- 13:54Speaker 2: have become so enamored of this animated snake that they
- 13:59Speaker 2: want their own Gary as a pet. Here's the problem.
- 14:03Speaker 2: He's a blue Indonesian pit viper, which is a lethally
- 14:07Speaker 2: venomous snake. He's very nice in the movie, but if
- 14:14Speaker 2: you buy one in real life, it's not gonna be
- 14:16Speaker 2: as nice. I don't think I typically no.
- 14:20Speaker 4: A fucking pit viper from like pitfall.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I have a pitfall.
- 14:27Speaker 4: I think those are the ones that were in there,
- 14:29Speaker 4: right Yo.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Nobody went running off to get like an articulated python
- 14:33Speaker 5: when fucking jungle Book came out.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't understand it was with these people don't know
- 14:39Speaker 2: when Anaconda came out.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Oh my god, oh yeah, or the new that's coming
- 14:44Speaker 5: out yeah, oh yeah god.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I love the idea of that movie where they just
- 14:52Speaker 2: want to recreate the movie and Coonda because they love
- 14:55Speaker 2: it so much. Then they turned that into a movie.
- 14:58Speaker 5: There's having reptiles pets, Oh yeah, should make good pets
- 15:04Speaker 5: as well, but there are.
- 15:05Speaker 2: You should know how to handle them.
- 15:08Speaker 5: And there are certain ones who should simply should not
- 15:10Speaker 5: be pets period, like they do not. They're nowhere near
- 15:15Speaker 5: domicile enough to be like pets.
- 15:20Speaker 2: They will eat you.
- 15:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah. The article that I read it spoke to a
- 15:27Speaker 2: gentleman who was getting one of the pets. However, he
- 15:29Speaker 2: is a trained snake handler, like he he knows, he
- 15:35Speaker 2: knows how to handle these creatures and has done so
- 15:37Speaker 2: for some time, even having had venmous pets before, so
- 15:42Speaker 2: you know, him getting one sure kind of makes sense.
- 15:45Speaker 2: But a lot of these people who are rushing out
- 15:47Speaker 2: to get them are just bumble fuck you and me.
- 15:50Speaker 2: People like just it's like we don't know shit about
- 15:54Speaker 2: ship like, but we like the blue snake. Will get
- 15:56Speaker 2: the blue snake, please, No, just get get a toy
- 16:00Speaker 2: like do you have it in blue? Get get a fluffy,
- 16:05Speaker 2: Get a fluffy like you know, cuddly toy or something.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You know. Don't go out by an actual fucking it's
- 16:13Speaker 2: called a pit piper. Okay. I wouldn't buy a pit anything.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't buy a pit pigeon, pigeon, a pit poodle,
- 16:25Speaker 2: you know.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Oh my god, that thing would be so weird looking.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Pit bag of oreos. No, it's been in a pit.
- 16:32Speaker 4: No, yeah, I'm not for this. I love snakes. I mean,
- 16:37Speaker 4: I'd get a snake of like whatever if I die
- 16:39Speaker 4: from a steak. But it's my own fault.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So my girlfriend had snakes for a pet, so you know.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But she was into them, so you know, and she
- 16:52Speaker 2: knew how to take care of it and it wasn't venomous.
- 16:54Speaker 2: So it's like, sure, why.
- 16:56Speaker 9: Not If you're collector, if you're an opertologist, if you're
- 16:59Speaker 9: an actual person who has experienced handling snakes, sure go
- 17:02Speaker 9: for it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Yeah it's your whatever, your your stick.
- 17:05Speaker 5: But yeah, if you have no experience in it, if
- 17:07Speaker 5: you don't even know what to feed the damn thing
- 17:09Speaker 5: if you don't understand that lot, Like, not every snake
- 17:13Speaker 5: is going to eat dead mice.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Sometimes they have to be alive.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Yeah, that's when you realize that not every animal's for you.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I think there's a certain point at which I
- 17:26Speaker 2: would pass for sure.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not for everybody. Not for the faint of heart.
- 17:31Speaker 2: No, not for the strength of heart. Not for nature cares,
- 17:36Speaker 2: not for your Yeah, nature cares, not for your tomb poolery.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Yeah very much. Nature does what nature does anyways.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Uh yeah, So let's move on to story number three.
- 17:49Speaker 2: New Zealand local government signage is turning heads with signs
- 17:53Speaker 2: like haunted but manageable and don't just don't It's is
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't you're a local city council. Don't what, don't don't
- 18:05Speaker 2: walk here, don't don't don't, don't leave, don't don't talk
- 18:09Speaker 2: like what. So many citizens of christ Church in New
- 18:14Speaker 2: Zealand are are are somewhat confused, uh mysterious. Apparently government
- 18:22Speaker 2: issued signs have been leaving a lot of people going
- 18:26Speaker 2: what's going on here, including signage such as you have
- 18:34Speaker 2: there's a walking speed limit of two point eight three
- 18:36Speaker 2: kilometers per hour. Enforcement applies kilometers or kilometers you mean, yes,
- 18:44Speaker 2: what you can only walk so fast?
- 18:47Speaker 8: Yes?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Bullshit?
- 18:48Speaker 9: Yeah, I can only walk at a minimum of two
- 18:51Speaker 9: hundred and eighty five kilometers for how I.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Just flying through.
- 18:56Speaker 2: And perhaps the most bafflings is one located outside a
- 19:02Speaker 2: historical but earthquake damaged ducks Deluxe building. It reads this
- 19:08Speaker 2: area is slightly haunted, but manageable monitoring is active.
- 19:14Speaker 4: So are any.
- 19:16Speaker 2: That signage is normal? In New York?
- 19:18Speaker 5: You see places around here is haunted?
- 19:21Speaker 4: Are any of the signage like enforceable?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Like, well, here's the thing, here's the thing. This is
- 19:29Speaker 2: one of those things where you have to look closely
- 19:31Speaker 2: because even though it has what appears to be the
- 19:33Speaker 2: christ Church City Council like logo in the lower right,
- 19:39Speaker 2: if you look closely, it says christ Church City confusion.
- 19:45Speaker 2: This is an art installation.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Signs were created by an artist named Cameron Hunt. He
- 19:54Speaker 2: put them up for an art festival called the Little
- 19:57Speaker 2: Street Art Festival took place in christ Church. However, he
- 20:02Speaker 2: left the signs up well beyond the festival and uh,
- 20:06Speaker 2: he just wants to make some fun about how deadly
- 20:09Speaker 2: seriously New Zealanders take public signage. I guess he talked
- 20:16Speaker 2: to stuff dot co dot NZ. I believe it's some
- 20:19Speaker 2: online online online magazine in New Zealand, and he says,
- 20:24Speaker 2: I like watching people's reactions. They either laugh straight away
- 20:27Speaker 2: or there's a bit of confusion. It's fair.
- 20:32Speaker 5: I'm sorry, but if I walked up in a plaze
- 20:34Speaker 5: and has said haunted but manageable, I'd be curious.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I'd be curious.
- 20:39Speaker 4: It's probably drawing people into that building.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I'd be laughing my ass off, and then I'd probably
- 20:45Speaker 2: want to go inside that building. Let's check it out.
- 20:49Speaker 2: That'd be cool.
- 20:49Speaker 4: It just says don't advertising man like that gets people ready?
- 20:56Speaker 9: Like I saw that anyway, I'd be like, okay, don't
- 20:59Speaker 9: got it?
- 21:01Speaker 2: All right? Well, that's all three of our news stories, gentlemen,
- 21:05Speaker 2: Let's go over real quick. Air India forced to pay
- 21:09Speaker 2: huge parking fees after losing an airliner in a parking
- 21:11Speaker 2: lot for thirteen years. Zootopia two is such a hit
- 21:15Speaker 2: in China that people are rushing out to buy lethal
- 21:18Speaker 2: pit vipers. And finally, New Zealand local government signage confusing
- 21:22Speaker 2: people with signs like haunted but manageable and don't that's
- 21:27Speaker 2: all it says, is just don't Yeah. All right, all right, gentlemen,
- 21:35Speaker 2: let's see. Well it's been so long, but Stevie Stevie,
- 21:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna I was gonna make Stevie go first, anyway,
- 21:44Speaker 2: because Aggie got to participate in episode three hundred and
- 21:47Speaker 2: Steve was more of a more of a behind the
- 21:50Speaker 2: scenes dude for that. So I wanted to give Stevie
- 21:53Speaker 2: the advantage here on this episode, Stevie, where would you
- 21:58Speaker 2: like to go with us? Which one of these did
- 21:59Speaker 2: I like? Which one did I share? And which one
- 22:01Speaker 2: did I block? Okay?
- 22:03Speaker 4: I think we're gonna go with we like the air
- 22:07Speaker 4: India forced to pay that stuff, okay, and then we're
- 22:11Speaker 4: going to share the New Zealand government about the signage
- 22:17Speaker 4: because that's funny, because you want to share that you're
- 22:19Speaker 4: blocking the China getting those pit vipers because you think
- 22:25Speaker 4: it's bad. I think it's fucking funny and hilarious. Let
- 22:27Speaker 4: him do it, but whatever.
- 22:31Speaker 2: All right, Algie, you can keep one of his, but
- 22:35Speaker 2: you got to swap the other two, or you can
- 22:36Speaker 2: go entirely your own way.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Yeah, well, obviously share the New Zealand story because honestly,
- 22:42Speaker 5: it's our and it's funny.
- 22:44Speaker 2: It's pretty it's pretty good.
- 22:46Speaker 5: But yeah, i'd have to say you like the Zootopia
- 22:50Speaker 5: thing because you know, everybody loves getting ship.
- 22:55Speaker 2: They should be happy.
- 22:59Speaker 5: And then you would block the Air India thing because honestly,
- 23:02Speaker 5: who hasn't left their you know, airliner in a random
- 23:08Speaker 5: airliner depository licensed out like a monthly charged for thirteen
- 23:15Speaker 5: fucking years.
- 23:16Speaker 4: And Joe, oh that is ours Well.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It does reek of rich people problems.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it does, honestly, unfortunately.
- 23:25Speaker 2: For you, Stevie already had it exactly right. So yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I shared the New Zealand Science story because that is funny.
- 23:32Speaker 2: That is, it is brilliant and very funny. The Air
- 23:38Speaker 2: India story again is rich people problems. But having said that,
- 23:41Speaker 2: like story number two, like I kind of don't care
- 23:45Speaker 2: if people are stupid enough to buy animals that will
- 23:47Speaker 2: kill them, but the animals themselves, I worry that some
- 23:51Speaker 2: of them are going to be killed because of this.
- 23:53Speaker 5: That's really it's the devastation of the species, not yeah
- 23:57Speaker 5: in particular, and it's fine.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably not going to be real healthy for
- 24:01Speaker 2: that species, you know, if they're they're I don't know.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I can't say for sure what's going to happen to
- 24:10Speaker 2: the resultimate.
- 24:11Speaker 5: But similarly to when that Rio movie came out, specific
- 24:16Speaker 5: parrot like it was already endangered, and then everybody wanted
- 24:20Speaker 5: that oh.
- 24:21Speaker 9: No, and yeah that that parrot's gone.
- 24:23Speaker 4: It's extinct though it's gone.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. Yeah, So for for for just animal safety reasons,
- 24:31Speaker 2: I got Utopia. It was to be to be fair
- 24:35Speaker 2: to AUGI it was kind of a fifty to fifty.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I could have gone either way on those two, but
- 24:40Speaker 2: I wound up coming down just because of the harm
- 24:42Speaker 2: that could happen to the animals. I could give a
- 24:45Speaker 2: shit about the people if they want to take themselves
- 24:49Speaker 2: out of the gene pool by all means, but please
- 24:52Speaker 2: find a way that doesn't harm animals or other people, please,
- 24:57Speaker 2: and any of that. That's gonna be one point to Stevie.
- 24:59Speaker 2: He takes a but but game number two, Game number
- 25:04Speaker 2: two is gonna be where two full episode points and
- 25:07Speaker 2: we're gonna play that right after this Woo mail Bag.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Mail Bag.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Litters still still one of the best themes we've ever done.
- 25:33Speaker 2: It's nothing, it's nothing, nothing against Mexican. Absolutely, his artistry
- 25:38Speaker 2: goes so far beyond mind. It's not even funny, but
- 25:41Speaker 2: that that that makes me giggle every time. Okay, well
- 25:49Speaker 2: we've got some looks like we've got some comments at
- 25:51Speaker 2: least to start us off.
- 25:53Speaker 4: We do. We do have a couple of comments. I'll
- 25:55Speaker 4: start this one. Since this is my fault. There was
- 25:57Speaker 4: a delay on this week's episode of anybody realize during
- 26:02Speaker 4: the editing process we lost power here during that ice storm.
- 26:06Speaker 4: So jesus, Yeah, it took a while to get everything
- 26:09Speaker 4: back up and running and stuff. But Bill M but
- 26:12Speaker 4: a completely understandable stay say, if it warm, we'll get
- 26:15Speaker 4: the same storm. I guess that storm like ripped through
- 26:17Speaker 4: everything in like two days. It was just everything and
- 26:21Speaker 4: blowing shit over.
- 26:22Speaker 8: It was notts.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it was pretty harsh.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's fucking it's crazy.
- 26:28Speaker 8: It's crazy.
- 26:29Speaker 4: The other thing, we have two new patrons, so they're
- 26:34Speaker 4: not showing up on the screen here. One is a
- 26:37Speaker 4: Native Pixie. She joined I think on like Christmas Eve
- 26:39Speaker 4: or Christmas Day or something. And then another person Ian,
- 26:45Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure it was Ian. Let me make sure.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I just screw this up of course, and I started
- 26:48Speaker 4: hitting the wrong buttons. Yeah, Ian M. So I when
- 26:54Speaker 4: I looked and said, out the profiles. They found us
- 26:56Speaker 4: on Blue Sky. They're an airline worker and they were
- 27:00Speaker 4: at the show.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Really yes, holy crap, yeah, crap.
- 27:05Speaker 4: That's freaking awesome. So they joined our Patreon.
- 27:09Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Yeah. So the next few comments, the next three actually
- 27:13Speaker 4: come from just this one post, which is shown number
- 27:15Speaker 4: three hundred by das Maaster three hundred Live Episode Pert two.
- 27:20Speaker 4: This is the conclusion of it here. Yeah, yep, and
- 27:23Speaker 4: we have three more comnents here. Did anybody want to
- 27:25Speaker 4: start this one off?
- 27:26Speaker 2: Oh?
- 27:26Speaker 4: You want to go?
- 27:27Speaker 5: Or sure, you want to start with We'll start with
- 27:30Speaker 5: well to go from the bottom up, because that's the
- 27:32Speaker 5: uh that's the earliest to the latest. Yeah, so starting
- 27:37Speaker 5: at the bottom I and m that whole entire PERP
- 27:40Speaker 5: three part task was brilliant, dude, thank you for that.
- 27:48Speaker 2: What's funny is I tried so hard to make these
- 27:50Speaker 2: tests both you know, and entertaining and clever and and
- 27:56Speaker 2: the contestants all like just hate me for it. I
- 28:00Speaker 2: almost I almost heard like no positive feedback on anything
- 28:04Speaker 2: I did for this show. All I got was the laughter,
- 28:07Speaker 2: which I you know, I'm happy to take. But it's
- 28:10Speaker 2: just very nice for someone to actually compliment me on
- 28:12Speaker 2: that stuff.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Well, I can tell you right now, dude, from an
- 28:15Speaker 4: audience perspective, Yeah, that three part was genius.
- 28:18Speaker 8: It literally was.
- 28:19Speaker 4: It was so good.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I enjured it. Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Sure.
- 28:24Speaker 2: The next one is from Justin Brown. That was such
- 28:27Speaker 2: an amazing watch. What a touching tribute to Jorge, and
- 28:29Speaker 2: I have to believe he's so proud of what you've accomplished.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Same here.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Ye.
- 28:34Speaker 2: All the tasks were amazing and I love the live
- 28:36Speaker 2: tasks especially. They are also some of my favorites on
- 28:39Speaker 2: task Master.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Oh interesting.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we talked about it on the post mortem and
- 28:47Speaker 2: that my one regret is that we didn't do like
- 28:50Speaker 2: a creative task and instead of two kind of luck
- 28:53Speaker 2: based ones. Having said that, what I came up with
- 28:56Speaker 2: I was really happy with, Like, I thought.
- 28:58Speaker 4: It was smart with the dice and in the cars,
- 29:00Speaker 4: I thought it was a really good idea because yeah,
- 29:03Speaker 4: you didn't know what was going to happen at all.
- 29:05Speaker 2: No, no, And I was like, let's let's do something
- 29:07Speaker 2: different with the deck of cards and what can we do?
- 29:09Speaker 2: And I had been playing a lot of flip seven,
- 29:13Speaker 2: which is basically like blackjack, except it's not a normal
- 29:17Speaker 2: deck of cards. It's cards labeled one to twelve, and
- 29:20Speaker 2: each card is labeled that's how many of those card
- 29:23Speaker 2: there are in the deck. So there's twelve twelves, eleven,
- 29:25Speaker 2: eleven's one to one and so on, and they're each
- 29:28Speaker 2: worth how many points they are on the card. However,
- 29:31Speaker 2: if you get two of any individual card, you bust.
- 29:35Speaker 2: So I was like, oh, we could just do that
- 29:38Speaker 2: with a regular deck of cards and just make it
- 29:41Speaker 2: so each card you collect is worth one point and
- 29:44Speaker 2: you have to stop before you get a pair. Uh.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And I was like, this could be really really good,
- 29:50Speaker 2: And as it turned out, it was amazing. Dave pulling
- 29:53Speaker 2: the Three of Clubs after he completely flubs getting the
- 29:59Speaker 2: Three of Clubs the magic words task, Oh man, that
- 30:04Speaker 2: was just that was that could not have been. It
- 30:06Speaker 2: couldn't have planned it. I literally shuffled the deck myself
- 30:09Speaker 2: and then had every single player cut the deck differently,
- 30:12Speaker 2: so no control over who got what, and Dave's still
- 30:15Speaker 2: wound up with the Three of Clubs. That was. That
- 30:18Speaker 2: was honestly magic, and I believe Jorge might have hand
- 30:21Speaker 2: a hand in.
- 30:25Speaker 4: So goddamn good.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Last comment, who should take this one?
- 30:29Speaker 4: Coming I'll finish it up. Last one from a bit,
- 30:32Speaker 4: Oh wow, what an amazing two parter. I didn't even
- 30:35Speaker 4: expect to get two episodes, three hour celebration for three
- 30:38Speaker 4: hundred episodes, and everybody did a blood or did bloody
- 30:41Speaker 4: brilliantly and I agree on oh yeah everything, yeah, getting everybody.
- 30:46Speaker 2: There, everyone was. It was awesome on that show. Everyone
- 30:50Speaker 2: was awesome. Everyone from top to bottom.
- 30:54Speaker 8: Oh awesome.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Yeah, and like three hundred if for some reason you
- 30:57Speaker 4: haven't gotten to it, get to it. It's so good.
- 31:00Speaker 2: The first episode is well, if you're listening to this,
- 31:03Speaker 2: I think you know you don't have to be a
- 31:05Speaker 2: patreont remember to get this. We put this in a
- 31:07Speaker 2: regular episode, So if you are listening to this and
- 31:09Speaker 2: you're not a Patreon member, you can still watch the
- 31:11Speaker 2: first episode right now. Actually, by the time this comes out,
- 31:14Speaker 2: the second one might be out. I don't know.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, okay, so yeah.
- 31:19Speaker 2: The first episode is currently at the time of recording,
- 31:22Speaker 2: up on YouTube. Anybody can watch it for free, and
- 31:25Speaker 2: the second episode's coming, So if you haven't seen it
- 31:29Speaker 2: and you're not a patreot member, go check it out.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I guarantee you will enjoy it. We had, you know,
- 31:33Speaker 2: the audience rolling and they were losing their minds. The
- 31:38Speaker 2: pop we got from that audience at the end of
- 31:40Speaker 2: Dave's wrap was incredible.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Oh it was so good, dude, it was so good.
- 31:45Speaker 2: The energy, the energy, Yeah, it was it was incredible,
- 31:48Speaker 2: absolutely incredible show. All right, Is that everything we've gotten?
- 31:53Speaker 4: That's everything for this week. So thank you for new patrons,
- 31:56Speaker 4: Thanks for everybody who commented.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Much appreciate it, always appreciate it, and it takes part
- 32:00Speaker 2: in our show in any way. But let's get back
- 32:03Speaker 2: to the show.
- 32:04Speaker 12: Each of us identify with one of the Golden Girls.
- 32:07Speaker 12: I'm Sophia, Aaron is Dorothy, Kristen is sweet Rose, and
- 32:13Speaker 12: each week we'll have a guest sit in the Blanche
- 32:16Speaker 12: spot the Naughty scene. Come join us on the Lanai
- 32:19Speaker 12: for some cheesecake.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Part of the Media Network. Welcome back. It's time for
- 32:34Speaker 2: game two. Game two is going to be pop Culture
- 32:37Speaker 2: Fight Club. I always worry a little bit that I'm
- 32:40Speaker 2: gonna mix up the mix up the words somehow and
- 32:42Speaker 2: say cop pulture kite, fub cock culture club, pop culture
- 32:51Speaker 2: fight Club. This game was invented by Colin Meggs. Very
- 32:55Speaker 2: can send it to us as an idea to play.
- 32:58Speaker 2: We've been playing a lot lately. This is a game
- 33:01Speaker 2: of answering a tough question and then defending your position.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So I'm going to ask you a question. I'm going
- 33:07Speaker 2: to ask for your best something or your favorite something
- 33:09Speaker 2: from the world of pop culture, and you'll have to
- 33:11Speaker 2: explain and defend yourselves as best you can, because once
- 33:15Speaker 2: you're done explaining, we're gonna question you about it, and
- 33:18Speaker 2: the best answer, as judged by me in the best defense,
- 33:21Speaker 2: of course, we'll get two episode points this week. To
- 33:25Speaker 2: no one's surprise, I've been inspired by multiplayer games. We've
- 33:29Speaker 2: had so much fun playing hockey together for ten plus years.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Despite electronic arts still being so incredibly incompetent, they can't
- 33:37Speaker 2: make NHL for PC. But I've been building a portable
- 33:41Speaker 2: multiplayer machine and I've been digging every step of that journey.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And i want to know what is your absolute favorite
- 33:50Speaker 2: nonsports multiplayer game. That is the question, Aggie. You lost
- 33:56Speaker 2: the last game. You have the choice do you want
- 33:58Speaker 2: to go first or do you want to make you
- 34:00Speaker 2: go first?
- 34:01Speaker 4: St go first?
- 34:02Speaker 2: All right, first, all right? What is your absolute favorite
- 34:07Speaker 2: non sports multiplayer game? And why?
- 34:09Speaker 4: Sir, this is so difficult because it's it's hard to figure,
- 34:13Speaker 4: like obviously can't do wrestling as a sport and stuff
- 34:15Speaker 4: like that, which in hockey a couple of our favorites.
- 34:18Speaker 4: And I'm not gonna go to the traditional cop out
- 34:21Speaker 4: this time. I'm not gonna be like garage band because
- 34:24Speaker 4: i know it's something we all enjoy, but I've used
- 34:25Speaker 4: it way too much on the show over the last
- 34:27Speaker 4: three hundred episodes, so I'm gonna switch it up to
- 34:30Speaker 4: something that we all still play. Garage rock bandage. It's
- 34:36Speaker 4: a different one.
- 34:38Speaker 5: It's like rock band, except we can't afford any of
- 34:40Speaker 5: the instruments, so we just make noises with our mouths.
- 34:43Speaker 4: It's like a guitar. Yeah. So other than that, I'm
- 34:53Speaker 4: probably gonna go with.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Anyway here's wonderful. Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Maybe I'm probably gonna go with the Jack games because
- 35:04Speaker 4: since its inception, we started playing the jack games. Like
- 35:07Speaker 4: back in the day when it was just only like
- 35:09Speaker 4: on a council. Now obviously it's evolved where you don't
- 35:13Speaker 4: need a game. Well, you have somebody hosting, but everybody
- 35:16Speaker 4: in your group can jump on their phone and all
- 35:18Speaker 4: play together. And the best part about the Jack Games
- 35:20Speaker 4: in my opinion, aside from the comical like Announcer and Ship,
- 35:24Speaker 4: which is great and uh or it's probably the creativity
- 35:28Speaker 4: of your friends because all the games it's it's something
- 35:31Speaker 4: creative one way or the other and all of them
- 35:33Speaker 4: and you always find somebody's joke on they're fucking hilarious
- 35:36Speaker 4: that it comes out on. So I'm gonna say the
- 35:39Speaker 4: Jack Games just because of that, the the the utility
- 35:42Speaker 4: of it that everybody could pretty much play the variety
- 35:45Speaker 4: of other different game styles within the Jack libraries alone.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Fuck weren't it wasn't the Jack games where you could
- 35:52Speaker 4: screw each other like I.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Think the original the original Jack Games.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, so, like I mean, there were so many
- 35:59Speaker 4: great elements to it, and the fact that we just
- 36:02Speaker 4: replayed it again last week at Magnus Cock Thunder's place
- 36:06Speaker 4: and they got me into it and I started thinking,
- 36:08Speaker 4: I'm like, oh shit, dude, I guess see if I
- 36:09Speaker 4: got any Jack games, I got like fucking four of them.
- 36:12Speaker 4: And it's like I said, it's nice. Anybody can pick
- 36:14Speaker 4: up and play. You can jump out a game if
- 36:15Speaker 4: you don't want to play, like this round, like all right,
- 36:17Speaker 4: I'll watch or if somebody else jump in, But I
- 36:20Speaker 4: don't know. It's not about the jack games is just fun.
- 36:21Speaker 4: It brings out great creativity amongst the friends and it's
- 36:24Speaker 4: just a fun, chill thing to do. And revitalizing it
- 36:27Speaker 4: this last week has been great. In my opinion, I
- 36:29Speaker 4: think we should do more shit like that.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Fair, Fair, What do you say to the accusation that
- 36:39Speaker 2: the Jackbox games have moved away from the soul of
- 36:43Speaker 2: the you don't know jack originator and are just kind
- 36:47Speaker 2: of money sponges now where they just recycle or remix
- 36:51Speaker 2: the same tired ideas into new Jackbox game packs over
- 36:56Speaker 2: and over again to just keep the money flowing. Right.
- 37:01Speaker 4: No, I agree that a lot of publishers and such
- 37:04Speaker 4: do such things. I mean, God, look at Call of
- 37:06Speaker 4: Duty all they're doing. Or just cycling maps and use
- 37:07Speaker 4: an AI skins.
- 37:08Speaker 8: That's all it is.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Even their new games, it's all old maps. Nobody creates
- 37:11Speaker 4: anything new. The good thing with the Jat games, at
- 37:14Speaker 4: the very least, in my opinion, is they're making it
- 37:16Speaker 4: accessible to everybody. It's like, no, this is not just gamers,
- 37:19Speaker 4: this is not just people who do trivia. It's everybody.
- 37:21Speaker 4: You got a phone or any device or you need
- 37:23Speaker 4: a phone, you can play and play with everybody else.
- 37:26Speaker 4: So yeah, it sucks. They're recycling some things, and yeah,
- 37:29Speaker 4: I know the original writers and the owners aren't there anymore,
- 37:31Speaker 4: which does again blow because the franchise got huge, but
- 37:34Speaker 4: I think because of that they were able to get
- 37:37Speaker 4: it out to more people. It sucks. Yeah, there's less
- 37:40Speaker 4: creative stuff on the company side, but it's allowing creativity
- 37:44Speaker 4: to spread more on the public side because of it.
- 37:48Speaker 2: All right, i'llgue you got any questions you want to
- 37:50Speaker 2: make an answer?
- 37:54Speaker 4: Uh, I didn't eat that sandwich.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Okay, that was the only one.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Itching out my mind. There is if that sandwich that
- 38:03Speaker 5: I left in the fridge.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Was wasn't me. He was delicious, but it wasn't me.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Fucking munchies man, and.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Cut in and we cut in a clip of Stevie
- 38:16Speaker 2: just holding the sandwich in his hand. Oh, I hate
- 38:19Speaker 2: the damn sandwich. It's good.
- 38:21Speaker 4: The whole day.
- 38:26Speaker 5: Is one of those games where like, yeah, it's true
- 38:30Speaker 5: that it does kind of seem like a little bit
- 38:32Speaker 5: of a cash grab now because of you know, you
- 38:35Speaker 5: have to buy all these different modules stuff like that,
- 38:37Speaker 5: But then.
- 38:38Speaker 2: There's also these.
- 38:41Speaker 5: Packages the sales that go on and stuff like that.
- 38:44Speaker 5: You can get all of them, or get most of
- 38:45Speaker 5: them at least for a decent price.
- 38:50Speaker 9: Is it a good multiplayer game that it requires you
- 38:53Speaker 9: to also have like a phone available?
- 38:58Speaker 5: Uh, a platform? Basically you have to be on another platform.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I guess you could also play it on your own computer.
- 39:05Speaker 5: It's one of those weird kind of party games where
- 39:08Speaker 5: it's really only I guess fun if you're playing it
- 39:11Speaker 5: together in person. Yeah, but like when you're playing it online,
- 39:15Speaker 5: when you're like over in Discord or whatever, it might
- 39:18Speaker 5: not share.
- 39:18Speaker 4: The same authenticity and fun. I agree with that, but
- 39:22Speaker 4: I would never play the game over Discord. I would
- 39:24Speaker 4: only play it within the environment of friends around, like
- 39:26Speaker 4: we did at the HOA, we did at Magnus's place.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Usually that's what that game is for. It's not like
- 39:32Speaker 4: ever we're gonna play over the internet. It's usually like, hey,
- 39:33Speaker 4: we're together instead of watching a movie, let's all do this.
- 39:36Speaker 4: It's interactive. We can still be as talk eight, but
- 39:39Speaker 4: at least this way, we're all in the game room
- 39:40Speaker 4: and everybody is interacting with the same thing. Everybody's involved.
- 39:44Speaker 5: And would you consider Jack of the Box just one
- 39:47Speaker 5: game or is it one multiple games within like one.
- 39:54Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 39:55Speaker 4: I mean, I guess genre, I guess me personally, I
- 39:59Speaker 4: don't know. I guess it depends because you have the
- 40:01Speaker 4: collection considered as one thing.
- 40:03Speaker 5: That's true, right, Like, because even though they're all technically
- 40:07Speaker 5: different games with top of like different people narrating and
- 40:10Speaker 5: shit like that, is it all one game or is
- 40:12Speaker 5: it all different games collectively the same? Fuck knows at
- 40:15Speaker 5: this point it's all one game?
- 40:18Speaker 4: Or the Anniversary edition is all one?
- 40:22Speaker 5: Yeah, all twelve iterations of Skyroom exactly one game?
- 40:28Speaker 2: All right, and it's Easter. What is your absolute favorite
- 40:33Speaker 2: non sports multiplayer game? Please? Okay? Yeah, I said no.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm sorry. It was a joke and it's already mad.
- 40:43Speaker 4: I was joking.
- 40:44Speaker 5: I love football anyways, so yeah, it's a bit of
- 40:51Speaker 5: a cop out too, But.
- 40:55Speaker 4: My probably favorite multiplayer game.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Right now, at least. I've had other favorites in the past,
- 41:03Speaker 5: but they were favorite because of who I played them
- 41:05Speaker 5: with and situationally what I had access to at the time. Nowadays,
- 41:11Speaker 5: with the with Steam and gog and Ea and Epic
- 41:16Speaker 5: I mean and all that, you have access to so
- 41:20Speaker 5: many different types of genres of games, and I feel
- 41:22Speaker 5: like the one type of multiplayer game that people seem
- 41:26Speaker 5: to enjoy the most are the survival horror games, especially
- 41:29Speaker 5: the indies reval horror games talking things like Repo, So
- 41:34Speaker 5: one thing about Repo, and as goofy as it is
- 41:38Speaker 5: and as childish as it might seem, I've enjoyed the
- 41:41Speaker 5: living shit out of it, mainly because I've been playing
- 41:44Speaker 5: it with my sister and my niece. It's one of
- 41:48Speaker 5: those games that kind of bridges connection between generations. It's
- 41:53Speaker 5: new enough where the younger generation like it because of
- 41:57Speaker 5: its style and how it is, but the generation like
- 42:00Speaker 5: it because it's simple, it's easy to pick up, it's
- 42:04Speaker 5: easy to learn. It still offers a bit of a challenge,
- 42:07Speaker 5: especially if you're a gamer or someone who was used
- 42:09Speaker 5: to playing video games, and it gives you this opportunity
- 42:12Speaker 5: to play with your kid or play with others who
- 42:15Speaker 5: may not have a whole.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Lot of experience playing with games.
- 42:19Speaker 5: And a lot of these and it's not just Repo either,
- 42:21Speaker 5: a lot of these other survival horror indie games are
- 42:23Speaker 5: doing the same. Lethal Company, notoriously sketchies, fucking Headliners, Steve
- 42:32Speaker 5: and I love Headliners, and it's all you are as.
- 42:35Speaker 4: You're a photographer a journalist.
- 42:37Speaker 5: You're going into an alien invasion part of like New
- 42:40Speaker 5: York City or Paris or whatever, and your entire objective
- 42:44Speaker 5: is to take pictures of these things and get to
- 42:46Speaker 5: score at the end and get put on like the
- 42:49Speaker 5: front page of it.
- 42:50Speaker 4: That's why it's called Headliners and stuff like that.
- 42:52Speaker 5: It's these crazy indie horror survival games that really seem
- 42:58Speaker 5: to be bringing together a lot of people lot and
- 43:00Speaker 5: it seems to really kick off.
- 43:01Speaker 4: That's why there's so many different iterations of them, just
- 43:04Speaker 4: like jack Box.
- 43:04Speaker 5: How there's so many different types of jack Box games
- 43:07Speaker 5: within the Jetbox collection, within the survival horror genre, indie
- 43:13Speaker 5: survival horror genre specific, there's so many different games, but
- 43:17Speaker 5: they all kind of function the same, but they all
- 43:19Speaker 5: also work the same way where the young generation like
- 43:23Speaker 5: it because of us one thing, but the old generation
- 43:26Speaker 5: likes it because of another, and it kind of bridges
- 43:28Speaker 5: that connection for them to play together. It's something that
- 43:32Speaker 5: we didn't really have. We did, but we didn't with
- 43:36Speaker 5: our parents. Like my father loved Final Fantasy and RPGs
- 43:39Speaker 5: and stuff like that, but that wasn't really a game
- 43:41Speaker 5: you played with others. It's the one you showed to
- 43:43Speaker 5: somebody and then they went and played it themselves.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Kind of thing, you know.
- 43:47Speaker 5: But then when we grew up, we had games like
- 43:50Speaker 5: Halo and Call of Duty that we could play together.
- 43:53Speaker 5: And now there's nothing but games, indie games available that
- 43:57Speaker 5: you could get out there that people want to play,
- 44:00Speaker 5: play with others, and we want to play with your
- 44:02Speaker 5: kids and everything like that, because you want to do
- 44:03Speaker 5: what your parents might not have done with you.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Sort of a thing.
- 44:07Speaker 4: I know that was got a long winded but no.
- 44:09Speaker 2: No, yeah, did was there an answer in there? Okay, okay, Repo,
- 44:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to look into this, Stevie. Do you
- 44:21Speaker 2: have any questions.
- 44:23Speaker 4: I do play this game. I play with them as
- 44:25Speaker 4: well because they're just up to four players and it
- 44:27Speaker 4: is challenging. I think that the multiplayer experience within Repo
- 44:37Speaker 4: is pretty good for the most part. Obviously there are issues.
- 44:41Speaker 4: It is indie, it's only been out what a year,
- 44:43Speaker 4: maybe a couple at a couple of I mean, and
- 44:47Speaker 4: we play modded. The game is fine unmodded, but not
- 44:53Speaker 4: complete in my opinion. If you play at Vanilla, there's
- 44:56Speaker 4: a lot of drawbacks. In fact, I don't really like
- 44:58Speaker 4: to play at Vanilla. I only play it modded because
- 45:01Speaker 4: of the things like the button and even the shared
- 45:04Speaker 4: abilities and stuff. The game itself is fine, it's good.
- 45:07Speaker 4: I think it has a lot further the go to
- 45:11Speaker 4: be a complete game. I know earlier you complained about
- 45:14Speaker 4: having to be online to play. Like the Jackbox games,
- 45:17Speaker 4: you have to be online. There is no co op
- 45:19Speaker 4: couch co op. It's all online coll not having to
- 45:21Speaker 4: be online. The difference between playing it in person or
- 45:24Speaker 4: playing it oh yeah, yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Be different, right, so experience.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Unfortunately, there is no couch, split screen or anything on
- 45:30Speaker 4: this that'd be something cool they could do. But at
- 45:32Speaker 4: the same time, this game I don't think would benefit
- 45:35Speaker 4: from it because of the style of the game. I
- 45:37Speaker 4: don't think the game would befit.
- 45:38Speaker 2: No, no, it would make it worse.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Oh man. I do like the fact that it does
- 45:44Speaker 4: bridge generations. Like I said, I played as well, but
- 45:46Speaker 4: I've also played games with my father, like he introduced
- 45:49Speaker 4: me on das Wolfenstein and Doom, and we play shit
- 45:52Speaker 4: like that, so it's like it's weird. We played warcraft
- 45:54Speaker 4: and stuff too, so I get how it bridges and
- 45:56Speaker 4: I do appreciate that because it does give us all
- 45:58Speaker 4: something to do. I would not count it a complete
- 46:01Speaker 4: multiplayer game. I play that when like we're all just
- 46:04Speaker 4: have something that we have some free time, and it's fun,
- 46:06Speaker 4: it's it's great, but after two hours of it, it's like,
- 46:08Speaker 4: all right, I'm done. I can only attack something so
- 46:12Speaker 4: much in that game where it's like it's hard, it's
- 46:14Speaker 4: it's a very hard game to control a master. I
- 46:16Speaker 4: am not a master. I just tag along and put
- 46:18Speaker 4: stuff in a cart. It's just like I die he
- 46:20Speaker 4: more often than anybody else in the game. But I
- 46:23Speaker 4: do have fun doing it, So I can see your
- 46:24Speaker 4: point there, Aaron. I don't really have any other questions
- 46:27Speaker 4: for him.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Other I mean you you already went over the things
- 46:30Speaker 2: that I would have covered, which is just basically like
- 46:33Speaker 2: the criticisms of there's no single player and there's no
- 46:37Speaker 2: I mean single player is not what we're talking about.
- 46:39Speaker 2: But in terms of a valid criticism for a game,
- 46:43Speaker 2: there's also a lot of quality of life features, Like
- 46:45Speaker 2: you mentioned the button, so it does seem to be
- 46:50Speaker 2: but having said.
- 46:51Speaker 9: That, nodding it costs you extra.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Box does if.
- 46:56Speaker 4: You have to don't own the game, you can't do
- 46:59Speaker 4: it for free?
- 47:00Speaker 2: That is your absolute favorite multiplayer experience.
- 47:04Speaker 4: At the moment. Yes, that's fair, Like I said, yeah, it's.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Okay to.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Schedule one, which is like for me.
- 47:14Speaker 2: For me, I had such a hard time answering this
- 47:16Speaker 2: question myself because there are there are so many phenomenal
- 47:21Speaker 2: multiplayer experiences that we had. I mean, just let let's
- 47:27Speaker 2: face it, and I'm kind of surprised Steve, you didn't
- 47:29Speaker 2: take it. Call of Duty is a good one. We
- 47:31Speaker 2: played a lot of Call of Duty together in the
- 47:34Speaker 2: House of Austome. Uh and even after we played some
- 47:38Speaker 2: some Battlefield that was also pretty fun. Mario Party four, Uh,
- 47:43Speaker 2: Super Bomberman, this is always a good time. Uh and
- 47:48Speaker 2: Hora love that game, so we played it a lot.
- 47:52Speaker 4: I'll tell you what I was going to choose as
- 47:53Speaker 4: an alternate, but I'll wait till you tell me what
- 47:55Speaker 4: you think yours is.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Uh, there were there were too many to choose from. Honestly,
- 48:00Speaker 2: like Duck Game, we always have a fucking great time
- 48:04Speaker 2: playing Gang Beasts. We always enjoy But I think if
- 48:10Speaker 2: it's if it's me my ultimate favorite nonsports multiplayer game,
- 48:17Speaker 2: and this is such a weird pick. But I just
- 48:21Speaker 2: had such a blast playing it, it would have to be.
- 48:32Speaker 2: I think Resident Evil five. It is a It is
- 48:37Speaker 2: a weird pick because it is a two player co
- 48:40Speaker 2: op game, and typically I tend to prefer playing if
- 48:42Speaker 2: we're doing a multiplayer experience, I want like four players
- 48:45Speaker 2: or more, you know. But Jorge and I wrecked that game,
- 48:52Speaker 2: and I played it a few times with U Stevie.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Oh my god. It was always a blast, always a
- 49:03Speaker 2: lot of time, and I think we only ever died
- 49:06Speaker 2: a couple of times because we were just always watching
- 49:09Speaker 2: each other's backs. Uh. And the feeling of that having
- 49:14Speaker 2: that support system behind you is amazing and I absolutely
- 49:21Speaker 2: had such a great time doing it. It sucks that
- 49:25Speaker 2: Resident Evil six just threw the whole game into the toilet,
- 49:28Speaker 2: but there you go. And Resident Evil five is not
- 49:31Speaker 2: without criticism either. It has it had quick time events
- 49:37Speaker 2: in it. The update the capcom put out at some
- 49:40Speaker 2: point actually took them out of the game. Good job,
- 49:43Speaker 2: cap Con, and I was I was flabbergasted. I'm like, oh,
- 49:47Speaker 2: why couldn't this be the version I played with wore
- 49:49Speaker 2: because we would have loved it because I could just
- 49:51Speaker 2: sit there and watch the cut scene and not have
- 49:53Speaker 2: to be in like completely tense like waiting to pull
- 49:57Speaker 2: the trigger or press a button or whatever the you.
- 50:00Speaker 2: None of that. It was all gone. It was all
- 50:01Speaker 2: taken out and it was so nice. So yeah, like
- 50:05Speaker 2: even even years after the fact, Capcom is fixing these
- 50:09Speaker 2: issues with Residual five. So yeah, I mean, shout outs
- 50:15Speaker 2: go to other games, Like you know, Time Splitters. We
- 50:18Speaker 2: spent a lot of time playing Time Splitters together and
- 50:23Speaker 2: its sequel, Times Splitters too. Didn't spend a lot of
- 50:25Speaker 2: time with Future Perfect.
- 50:26Speaker 4: But what about Coldcept. That's all of a sudden, I
- 50:30Speaker 4: was thinking.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Of Coldcept's another good one. We spent a lot of
- 50:34Speaker 2: time and it was one of the things. One of
- 50:39Speaker 2: the reasons I'll never forget that game is that like
- 50:41Speaker 2: in his last days before he had to be put
- 50:45Speaker 2: into a home, like Coldcept is one of the games
- 50:47Speaker 2: he gifted to me. He gave me his copy of
- 50:50Speaker 2: it because it meant a lot to him, I think,
- 50:56Speaker 2: and it meant a lot to me too, because we
- 50:57Speaker 2: had a lot of fun playing it. But for whatever,
- 51:01Speaker 2: like that's a harder game to get into. Like if
- 51:05Speaker 2: I could have if I could have taken jack Box,
- 51:07Speaker 2: I would have that probably would have been my first
- 51:10Speaker 2: pick as to what's my favorite now, but like absolute
- 51:13Speaker 2: favorite all time is so much harder, so I just
- 51:16Speaker 2: had to go off what I had the most fun doing,
- 51:19Speaker 2: And honestly, we loved Resident Evil so much. We loved
- 51:23Speaker 2: watching each other play it, me and Hora and I.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Finally to finally have a chance to play it together
- 51:31Speaker 2: was so huge for me that I think Resident Evil
- 51:34Speaker 2: five actually is my favorite multiplayer game of all times.
- 51:38Speaker 2: As dumb as that idea it might be, but it is,
- 51:42Speaker 2: and it was incredible. We had a lot of fun,
- 51:44Speaker 2: and I hope people still enjoy it. But anyway, I don't.
- 51:47Speaker 2: My answer doesn't matter because I have to pick between
- 51:49Speaker 2: the two of you, and out of the two of you,
- 51:52Speaker 2: the one that I I feel made the best case
- 51:55Speaker 2: and defended themselves the best was Stevie. I think Jackbox
- 51:59Speaker 2: Games was the better choice of the two. Granted I
- 52:02Speaker 2: haven't played Reposts, so I don't know, but but what
- 52:06Speaker 2: little I've read of it, it sounds. It sounds frustrating,
- 52:12Speaker 2: like I think I might get a little a little
- 52:15Speaker 2: pissed if things If some of these criticisms come true.
- 52:20Speaker 4: The amount of shit I break in that game and
- 52:22Speaker 4: we lose money on because my handshakes or I hit
- 52:24Speaker 4: a wall.
- 52:24Speaker 2: It's yeah, but I enjoy but I mean I love
- 52:32Speaker 2: the idea of exploring new like multiplayer game possibilities, Like
- 52:36Speaker 2: you know, I would have no problem like this sounds
- 52:39Speaker 2: like I would enjoy playing it myself. Possibly. I just
- 52:43Speaker 2: tried out Jump Space. It was gifted to me by
- 52:45Speaker 2: another friend, and I really like that game. But I
- 52:49Speaker 2: would have to buy copies for everybody to get them
- 52:52Speaker 2: to play it with me because the solo player experience saw, uh,
- 52:57Speaker 2: it gets really hard if you try a mission, harder
- 52:59Speaker 2: than the lowest possible difficulty. So yeah, so you really
- 53:04Speaker 2: need to play that game with friends. And what's the
- 53:08Speaker 2: other one? Deep Rock Galactic I wanted to get.
- 53:10Speaker 5: Into, but we have that.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I technically have it on I technically have it on Steam.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Which is the problem is like I can't play with
- 53:20Speaker 2: you guys because oh you did, Okay, I haven't. Well,
- 53:26Speaker 2: who knows, maybe we could then we can do that.
- 53:30Speaker 2: But yeah, there is no wrong answer to this. So
- 53:33Speaker 2: and people listening, please send in your common system what
- 53:36Speaker 2: your your absolute favorite multiplayer game is. We love reading
- 53:39Speaker 2: that stuff. And if you heard the mailbox. It might
- 53:42Speaker 2: wind up in there and we'll talk about it then,
- 53:45Speaker 2: but that is going to be our game. Stevie takes
- 53:47Speaker 2: that game too. He is now up three points to zero.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Oggie can still tie it up. Game three is going
- 53:54Speaker 2: to be worth three points and we are going to
- 53:57Speaker 2: play it right after this.
- 54:00Speaker 13: Hey, Jeff, what are we doing?
- 54:02Speaker 8: Why are you whispering?
- 54:03Speaker 13: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us.
- 54:06Speaker 13: Unless we take massive efforts to protect our online privacy,
- 54:09Speaker 13: all the details of our lives will be in the
- 54:11Speaker 13: hands of mega corporations.
- 54:13Speaker 8: Okay, sure, but this is the promo for our podcast.
- 54:16Speaker 8: We need people to be able to hear us this time.
- 54:19Speaker 13: Why do we need a promo?
- 54:20Speaker 8: Oh funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 54:22Speaker 8: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 54:24Speaker 13: Are they one of those global conglomerates.
- 54:26Speaker 8: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 54:29Speaker 8: great shows like ours.
- 54:30Speaker 13: Well, is there anything specific we need to say?
- 54:32Speaker 8: We should probably tell them what our podcast is about.
- 54:35Speaker 13: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 54:38Speaker 13: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 54:40Speaker 13: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 54:44Speaker 13: all buttholes.
- 54:45Speaker 8: I don't think we should say buttholes in.
- 54:46Speaker 13: The promo, but we already did twice.
- 54:50Speaker 8: Join us every other Monday for new episodes of Suggested
- 54:53Speaker 8: Articles a podcast.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to b FY tw Episode three
- 55:06Speaker 2: h two. We are just about to enter game three,
- 55:10Speaker 2: which is the cost is correct?
- 55:13Speaker 3: Hell's yes, Yes.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Cost is correct. We're gonna correct all these costs.
- 55:18Speaker 2: I've got three recently completed auctions here, and all our
- 55:21Speaker 2: players have to tell me is is they have to
- 55:23Speaker 2: bid as close as they possibly can to the final
- 55:26Speaker 2: auction price without going over. If it sounds familiar, shut up.
- 55:39Speaker 2: So because we only have two players, we're going to
- 55:42Speaker 2: go back and forth final bids rules, and we're gonna
- 55:46Speaker 2: start with Augie. Because Aggie, you lost the last game.
- 55:49Speaker 2: You have the choice do you want to bid first
