- 0:00Hi.
- 0:16Hey, how's it going?
- 0:18It's good.
- 0:19Something happened that is really minor, but I'm going to tell you about it.
- 0:22Ooh, okay.
- 0:23I'll be the judge.
- 0:24Yeah, be the judge and the executioner because I'm ready.
- 0:28Judge and the executioner.
- 0:29No jerseys.
- 0:30I'm waving that.
- 0:31Cutting out the middleman.
- 0:32Yeah.
- 0:33No, I was making...
- 0:37So my dad got coffee pods.
- 0:41And he got flavored.
- 0:43We've talked about this.
- 0:44I told him not to do this.
- 0:45The flavored coffee pods aren't as good as just regular coffee.
- 0:48There's always a weird taste.
- 0:49Yeah.
- 0:49But yet he went and got hazelnut.
- 0:52Ugh, I don't like hazelnut.
- 0:54The smell of it is kind of gross to me too.
- 0:56Well, I like the smell.
- 0:57but I like hazelnut coffee, creamer, a little bit.
- 1:01But the coffee, just give me coffee.
- 1:04Anyway, so I've been drinking.
- 1:07I'm like, I don't like this.
- 1:08So I'm like, I'll just, I have a really nice coffee machine.
- 1:10And I'm like, I'll just start using that again.
- 1:13So I was grinding my beans and getting ready to start it.
- 1:19And I started brewing the pot.
- 1:21He comes over, I don't know if this is happening,
- 1:23and starts the Keurig and it overlows the circuits
- 1:26and like shuts down the power in the house,
- 1:28like some of the lights went out
- 1:29and like obviously the coffee machine area went out.
- 1:32And then was he like,
- 1:33oh, those neighborhood kids,
- 1:34they've shorted our circuit.
- 1:36Yeah, great callback.
- 1:38We were, well, we were like confused.
- 1:40I didn't know this had happened.
- 1:42So I was like, what the hell?
- 1:44What do you?
- 1:44And so we're trying to figure it out
- 1:46and he goes out and he like,
- 1:48whatever, flips the breaker.
- 1:49And then I walk by the Keurig
- 1:50and I see he's got a cup of coffee
- 1:51that's like a quarter brewed.
- 1:53And immediately I'm like,
- 1:54oh, this bitch.
- 1:56So he comes in and I'm like, this is because you ran the Keurig while I was making my coffee.
- 2:01Girl, bye.
- 2:03No kidding.
- 2:04And he's like, oh, this has happened before, like a year or two ago.
- 2:09And so we knew, like, you can't run two, like, big appliances right on the same thing.
- 2:14Which does seem weird to me that whatever.
- 2:18Shocked that a Keurig is a big appliance like that.
- 2:21You're shocked.
- 2:24Oh, yes.
- 2:24Because of electricity.
- 2:25Yes.
- 2:26Nice.
- 2:26I used to call it Katie Keurig.
- 2:33I had a name tag on it.
- 2:35It started at work.
- 2:36We used to have a Keurig at work
- 2:37and I would try to get to catch on.
- 2:39Oh, Harmony Keurig.
- 2:42With the guy who directed Spring Breakers
- 2:44in that other movie.
- 2:45Oh, yeah.
- 2:46Okay, sorry.
- 2:47I think Katie's a lot.
- 2:48Katie Keurig is better.
- 2:49That's Harmony Corrine.
- 2:51Harmony Corrine is the guy.
- 2:53Oh, that's good.
- 2:53That's good.
- 2:54No, yours is way better.
- 2:55Yeah.
- 2:55I wish yours had happened first.
- 2:57Then we all could have got good laughs.
- 3:00Anyway, so...
- 3:01That's very benevolent of you.
- 3:04We haven't started yet.
- 3:06I know.
- 3:06You don't have to write that down.
- 3:07Is benevolent your word?
- 3:08You don't have to write that down.
- 3:09It's until the intro.
- 3:12No secret words.
- 3:13Her word is actually malevolent, funnily enough.
- 3:15Okay, but why'd you do that?
- 3:16But we'll just...
- 3:17Because I was just...
- 3:18Because I was complimenting you.
- 3:19I am writing it down.
- 3:20And you're not allowed to do that, but you probably did.
- 3:22I didn't.
- 3:23Okay.
- 3:24All right.
- 3:24Anyway
- 3:25So Katie Keurig blew
- 3:27Yeah
- 3:30So then I'm like
- 3:31You know you're not supposed to do this
- 3:33But I was very calm
- 3:34But this is why it happened
- 3:36I'm like by the way
- 3:37I don't want you to ruin my really expensive coffee machine
- 3:38So like watch it
- 3:39And he goes
- 3:41Oh I didn't know you were
- 3:42Making coffee
- 3:44And then I got pissed
- 3:45Because I was like
- 3:47I just was grinding beans
- 3:50You knew I was making coffee
- 3:54what did you think I was doing over there?
- 3:56Okay, to be fair, you grind beans for fun all the time.
- 3:59I've seen you do it.
- 4:00He doesn't know that.
- 4:03Well, we'd love it if it were true.
- 4:06Oh, jeez.
- 4:08I just couldn't believe it.
- 4:11Like, yes, you did know I was making coffee.
- 4:15You knew something was going on.
- 4:16Nah.
- 4:18You knew.
- 4:20You know?
- 4:23The end.
- 4:24sex with you is like coffee
- 4:30sometimes there's a bean
- 4:33yeah
- 4:34that I just said
- 4:37an inside joke
- 4:38on the pod as if
- 4:41listeners would get it
- 4:42I think there's enough context that they'll understand why it's funny
- 4:45yeah
- 4:45I think you can explain it real quick
- 4:47yeah one time Francis was hosting
- 4:49an improv show
- 4:51and it was an uncensored show so we got to do
- 4:53the game Sex With Me.
- 4:56And the example that he used was,
- 5:01sex with me is like coffee.
- 5:04Sometimes there's a bean.
- 5:07I laughed so hard.
- 5:09And then our director was like,
- 5:11I'm going to come out and do another example real quick.
- 5:14Listeners, if you ever have the opportunity
- 5:15to watch Francis host an improv show,
- 5:18plant yourself.
- 5:19You will never have a better night in your whole life.
- 5:22It's true. He's the best at it.
- 5:22He is the best.
- 5:23I'm not doing it tonight.
- 5:26You should.
- 5:27Now.
- 5:32Well, in any event, you are really good at it.
- 5:34Now the whole world knows you're inside our inside joke.
- 5:38You're welcome, world.
- 5:39You guys, you're in on the joke.
- 5:40We've got the whole world inside joke.
- 5:43We've got the whole wide world inside joke.
- 5:48Welcome to Very Fine Friends, where sometimes friends just grind beans for no reason.
- 5:53Hey.
- 5:54Hey.
- 5:55How you doing?
- 5:56Hey.
- 5:59Well, I'm glad that you kept your patience for part of that story.
- 6:05But it is shocking to me that a Keurig is...
- 6:09I would have thought of that as like a simple appliance.
- 6:12Like a toaster.
- 6:13Yes, exactly.
- 6:14Like a toaster.
- 6:15I wouldn't think a toaster would overload it either.
- 6:17I mean, it just heats up water.
- 6:19There's so many things we don't know about the world.
- 6:23Yeah.
- 6:23Was there anything else running?
- 6:27The lights were on.
- 6:29That's not a big thing.
- 6:32You asked if anything else was running.
- 6:34I'm just answering.
- 6:34No, I mean, I'm not judging your answer.
- 6:40I'm saying, well, that was not a contributing factor.
- 6:44It's implied lights will be on.
- 6:45Yeah.
- 6:46That's why they're in the house.
- 6:47I know.
- 6:48Listeners, if you are in your house and your lights are off, you're doing it wrong.
- 6:52Yeah.
- 6:52That's not it.
- 6:53I know.
- 6:54But I'm afraid you're being a dumb bitch.
- 6:56Yep.
- 6:57When I was in middle school, the teacher that I had, who I thought was hot at the time, his name was Mr. Jones, I think.
- 7:06Anyway.
- 7:06I don't think he's hot anymore.
- 7:08I've checked.
- 7:09Probably not.
- 7:13He told us that, what was it?
- 7:17Light bulbs sucked dark.
- 7:20That's how they worked.
- 7:21It ended up being like a thing being like, look, you can't believe everything you hear.
- 7:25But so he was explaining light bulbs and basically that light bulbs function by sucking dark out of the world.
- 7:31And then when they sucked all the dark they could suck, they no longer worked.
- 7:35And you had to go get another dark sucker.
- 7:41You were going to do a hardware store.
- 7:42Where are your dark suckers?
- 7:45I like left early that day.
- 7:46I never knew it was like fake.
- 7:48Oh, no, my dark sucker blew.
- 7:51Okay, so he told that to you and then was like,
- 7:55okay, did you believe me?
- 7:56Don't believe everything you hear.
- 7:58Yeah.
- 7:59Yeah.
- 7:59But it would be really funny if he waited
- 8:00till, like, the end of the year to tell you that.
- 8:03Yeah, or he, like, died.
- 8:05Yeah.
- 8:08Before the big reveal.
- 8:09Yeah.
- 8:11Well, like, there probably are people that think that
- 8:15because of Harry Potter, right?
- 8:17Yeah, I think there's people that believe.
- 8:19Because they have that, like.
- 8:20Oh, yeah.
- 8:21The Deluminator.
- 8:22The Deluminator, yeah.
- 8:26My word is not Deluminator.
- 8:29Okay, well.
- 8:30My word is not a Harry Potter word.
- 8:32It could be, and so you won't mind me writing it down if it's not.
- 8:35No I don mind You won mind me writing it down and not saying it No I don care Okay great Yeah go for it I did I went for it All right great Wonderful Okay well
- 8:46Quick interruption.
- 8:48Every week on the podcast,
- 8:50we do something where our producer Joe gives Francis and I each our own secret word.
- 8:58Throughout the course of the podcast,
- 8:59we need to find a way to slip the secret word into our conversation
- 9:04without the other person noticing. If the other person can correctly guess the secret word,
- 9:09they get a point. And right before we die, we add up all the points. And then we get a prize,
- 9:18whoever has the most points for guessing the most secret words. Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 9:24Jenna's secret word is glucose. Jenna's decoy word is barracuda. Francis's secret word is
- 9:32Gunnery. Francis' decoy
- 9:35where it is sisterhood.
- 9:37Back to the pod.
- 9:39Why don't you
- 9:40invent something?
- 9:43It's time for the invention of the week.
- 9:47Inventions.
- 9:52I like that.
- 9:53I like that quite a bit.
- 9:55Why don't you just tell me
- 9:56what you want me to invent?
- 10:00Oh my god.
- 10:03Wow.
- 10:05Um, oh, this just came to me.
- 10:07This literally just came to me just this moment.
- 10:09Now, earlier I was like, oh, I got one, it just came to me.
- 10:12This one just came to me just now.
- 10:13Wow, you've had two inventions since sitting down at this table?
- 10:16Yeah.
- 10:17God, you're prolific.
- 10:19Thank you.
- 10:20Um, here's what I was thinking.
- 10:23You know how there's kids, Bob?
- 10:25Yeah.
- 10:26You know how kids make things funny?
- 10:28Sometimes.
- 10:29Yeah.
- 10:30When we intended to?
- 10:31Yeah.
- 10:32and not when we're at a restaurant
- 10:34and trying to read.
- 10:40Not when you're doing an improv show
- 10:42and then they play Hey Waiter.
- 10:43Oh, another inside thing,
- 10:45but we'll put a pin in that one.
- 10:48God, I hate that.
- 10:49Long story short, listeners,
- 10:50Francis hates children trying to be funny.
- 10:55Yeah, unless you're Dakota Fanning
- 10:57and you just get it.
- 10:59Shut up.
- 11:00Shut up.
- 11:01Fun fact, Elle Fanning and I
- 11:02have the same birthday.
- 11:03I love Elle Fanning.
- 11:04Me too.
- 11:05I think she's overrated.
- 11:07I don't think she can act.
- 11:08No, I think in this day and age,
- 11:09I think she's rated.
- 11:11I don't know.
- 11:11Maybe she's gotten better,
- 11:12but when she first came on the scene,
- 11:13it was like,
- 11:14you are just riding
- 11:15your sister's coattails.
- 11:16I know.
- 11:16Dakota was way more talented,
- 11:18for sure.
- 11:18You can act.
- 11:19Yeah.
- 11:20She might have gotten better.
- 11:21I don't know.
- 11:21I haven't seen her
- 11:22in anything recently.
- 11:22Neon Demon was really good.
- 11:24Did you see Neon Demon?
- 11:24I did see Neon Demon,
- 11:26and it was good despite her.
- 11:29Fair.
- 11:30Okay.
- 11:30I like that they ate her at the end.
- 11:33Well, I haven't seen it.
- 11:34Me too.
- 11:36It's been out for a while.
- 11:37It's been out for like 10 years, but...
- 11:39That's nothing in cinematography.
- 11:41Well, don't worry about it.
- 11:45That's a nice way of saying, shut up.
- 11:47Just pretend like it was something you told me
- 11:51and then you will have forgotten about it.
- 11:53And you're being rejected too.
- 11:56Okay.
- 11:56And you came to jail.
- 11:58All right.
- 11:59well thanks for that
- 12:01I do
- 12:03think she's
- 12:05I like her more than you
- 12:06I guess
- 12:07I mean I like her more than you like her
- 12:08I understand
- 12:09we like her about the same
- 12:11okay
- 12:11well
- 12:12great
- 12:13here's what I was thinking
- 12:15I was thinking
- 12:16you know how they keep doing remakes
- 12:18and reboots
- 12:19yeah
- 12:20and
- 12:20more often than not
- 12:21they just suck
- 12:22yep
- 12:23I think it would be better
- 12:26if we had a movie studio
- 12:27that remade movies exactly the same with kids in all the roles.
- 12:37So like Goodfellas, but with kids?
- 12:39Yes.
- 12:40Yes.
- 12:41Like shot for shot the same?
- 12:42Yeah.
- 12:44Wouldn't that be funny?
- 12:45Eyes wide shut, but with kids.
- 12:47If that was the first one I thought of.
- 12:51I mean, I would go.
- 12:53It's like, oh, they're doing...
- 12:55And they didn't do it like in a winky kind of a way.
- 12:58They tried to do it like, no, no, no, this is going to be exactly like the original.
- 13:03Yes.
- 13:05That would be funny.
- 13:07As long as it's not AI.
- 13:09No.
- 13:10I just thought of a really good title for this invention.
- 13:12But also, to put it lightly, I feel like Epstein has also thought of the same title.
- 13:17If that makes sense.
- 13:18What's the title?
- 13:20Something pedophilic.
- 13:21Kid Flicks.
- 13:22Doesn't sound good, does it?
- 13:27I lost someone on the island
- 13:28Why would you bring up this drama?
- 13:34Never forget
- 13:35Don't let the Epstein win
- 13:38All I can say is
- 13:41I would go
- 13:42Let me just ask you this
- 13:44Not to the island
- 13:45To be fair
- 13:52you haven't been invited yet.
- 13:54That's fair.
- 13:55So, listeners, don't worry.
- 13:56Yeah, I do move a lot,
- 13:57so Photoshop is probably like,
- 13:59eh, it's just sitting here.
- 14:01We don't have a forwarding address.
- 14:05Um,
- 14:07what was I saying?
- 14:08Oh, kids in movies.
- 14:11Yeah, so I would have, like...
- 14:12Kids, how much you love them.
- 14:13Imagine they were releasing
- 14:15Death Becomes Her,
- 14:16kid version.
- 14:17I'm definitely going.
- 14:18I only have one question for you.
- 14:19Do you think it would be better
- 14:20if...
- 14:22the kid
- 14:24I want to say this sensitively
- 14:27so I'm just gonna
- 14:28you know what's in my heart
- 14:30yeah
- 14:30sex scenes
- 14:32could be with
- 14:33dolls
- 14:36I was gonna say adults or
- 14:38I don't know
- 14:41or just
- 14:42like cut them out
- 14:44and then
- 14:45Francis just made a really weird joke
- 14:49you could cut them out
- 14:51and then do you, like, make the scene all about holding hands?
- 14:57That actually would be an extra layer of money.
- 14:59Or cut the original shot from the original movie into it?
- 15:05It saves so much money on production, you have no idea.
- 15:09Yeah, I mean, I don't think we need to...
- 15:12The easiest thing would be to just, yeah, cut out sex scenes.
- 15:18I kind of like the idea of cutting back to the original.
- 15:20That's not bad.
- 15:21But I could see how that would cause,
- 15:25because it's adjacent,
- 15:28I could see how that would cause uproar.
- 15:30Let him uproar.
- 15:32Let him roar.
- 15:34There's no such thing as bad press.
- 15:37Yeah.
- 15:38No such thing as bad kids.
- 15:40Well.
- 15:43What would be the funniest movies
- 15:46to have redone?
- 15:51I do think Goodfellas would be funny
- 15:55yeah
- 15:56Lord of the Flies
- 15:57anything
- 15:58anything violent
- 16:01yeah
- 16:01Glenn Gary, Glenn Ross
- 16:06that would be such a good movie to watch with kids
- 16:10the leads are weak
- 16:11what's my name?
- 16:12fuck you, that's my name
- 16:14Independence Day
- 16:18well then do we do the reverse if there are kids in the movie that get played by adults i was
- 16:24thinking that yeah yeah yeah that would be very funny okay mommy daddy and he's towering over them
- 16:30yes imagine yes i think this would be a huge success but it has to be played so straight
- 16:36real yeah it can't be like the kids can't be putting on stupid little like baby voices or
- 16:44mug into the camera at all.
- 16:46It needs to be...
- 16:48Straight-faced.
- 16:49Completely straight-faced,
- 16:50so seriously,
- 16:51as if this is how Scorsese intended it all along.
- 16:56Yes, we're taking it seriously.
- 16:57Yeah.
- 16:59I'm trying to make Goodfellas happen.
- 17:01Okay.
- 17:01No, let it happen.
- 17:02That was the first thing that came to mind,
- 17:04and I think it would be great.
- 17:05Drama, comedy, okay?
- 17:07We take...
- 17:08A little coked-out kid
- 17:09looking through the windshield at a helicopter.
- 17:12Hilarious.
- 17:12Yeah.
- 17:14And at what age range are you thinking When do we how old do we like what the youngest and then where do we cap it Because I mean I don want to see a shitty 13 punk in a movie No no no No I talking I thinking like
- 17:2712, I feel like, is the sweet spot.
- 17:29Is like the.
- 17:30Well, the max.
- 17:31I was thinking.
- 17:338 to 12.
- 17:34When Dakota Fanning was in I Am Sam, how old was she?
- 17:37She was like 7 or 8.
- 17:38And she killed it.
- 17:39She did.
- 17:40So.
- 17:40She won.
- 17:41Didn't she win an Academy Award for that?
- 17:42No.
- 17:43She might have been nominated, but no one that young has ever won.
- 17:47Oh, okay.
- 17:48That's crazy.
- 17:49I know.
- 17:50Ageism.
- 17:51Abigail Breslin was nominated.
- 17:54And it was so cute.
- 17:57She was nominated.
- 17:58And they show everyone the boxes when they're announcing who got the award.
- 18:03And I don't remember who did end up winning.
- 18:06But then when they didn't call her name, she just started crying.
- 18:09It was so sad.
- 18:11It was so cute.
- 18:12Was that Little Miss Sunshine?
- 18:13Yeah.
- 18:14Yeah.
- 18:15Oh, that's tough.
- 18:16I know.
- 18:17And she was so good in that.
- 18:18She was so good.
- 18:20It's like top five favorite movies of all time.
- 18:22It's a great movie.
- 18:23Love that movie.
- 18:24It does.
- 18:24They eat her in the end.
- 18:27Oh, I'm sorry.
- 18:28Am I spoiling that for you?
- 18:29Jenna, I never saw the ending.
- 18:31They use it as an example in all the screenwriting books.
- 18:34Yeah.
- 18:35But it was just like, she just kind of burst into tears.
- 18:38I was like, oh, you poor little kid.
- 18:39I was like, of course.
- 18:41like this huge moment
- 18:42and you don't get it.
- 18:44And she definitely could have.
- 18:45I think she did a great job.
- 18:47What about Sisterhood
- 18:48of the Traveling Pants?
- 18:54Is Whoopi Goldberg in that?
- 18:56I don't think so.
- 18:57No.
- 18:57What about it?
- 18:58We could remake that.
- 19:00Oh, but aren't they kind of...
- 19:03Aren't they kind of...
- 19:06Young kids.
- 19:07Young.
- 19:08They're older kids.
- 19:11They're teens.
- 19:12Older sisters of older pants.
- 19:18This new film is sponsored by Oshkosh Pagosh.
- 19:26What's the John Voight one?
- 19:29I keep thinking Barracuda.
- 19:30Anaconda.
- 19:31Anaconda, yes.
- 19:32Fuck.
- 19:35That one would be so good.
- 19:37A little kid with a scar on his face going,
- 19:39you see this?
- 19:41They have to play it exactly like Jon Voight.
- 19:44A little J-Lo and Ice Cube.
- 19:46Speaking of J-Lo, Selena?
- 19:49Enough.
- 19:51Enough.
- 19:52Enough would be good.
- 19:53Assures he is a coward.
- 19:54He will try and kick you.
- 19:58And then I'd kick her, sir.
- 20:03I mean, this is gold.
- 20:08It is.
- 20:08do not try to do this with AI
- 20:11no I'm not
- 20:12not you I'm sorry
- 20:14this was a plea to the listeners
- 20:17listeners
- 20:18don't be shitty and try and use AI
- 20:21to make this I do not want to
- 20:23consume any content
- 20:25that was generated by AI
- 20:27I know me neither specifically movies
- 20:29art
- 20:30I'm not interested as a matter of fact I think
- 20:33like on Etsy because I shop with her
- 20:35sometimes there's no way
- 20:37like I can filter and say
- 20:38I only want to see sellers in the US
- 20:40because I don't want to worry about like import or whatever.
- 20:42There's no filter that I can see that's like
- 20:44don't show me AI
- 20:45and I think we should all have the ability to opt out of that.
- 20:48I think that's coming soon.
- 20:50I feel like that's got to be coming soon.
- 20:52Jenna's actually working on an AI companion
- 20:54that will filter all of that for you.
- 20:56Thank you Jenna.
- 20:57AI to do...
- 20:58His name is Maud.
- 21:01It eats her in the end.
- 21:02uh ai to do like tasks as opposed anything art related you know anything where it's like producing
- 21:11something that's supposed to bring you joy is no agree uh that's a big no for me so
- 21:21yeah like things that are centered around creativity human experience yeah i mean if
- 21:30If you're just doing it to be like, you feed it a bunch of receipts and then say like, calculate the total spent at each place or whatever.
- 21:39Like, that's utility.
- 21:40It is not giving you anything other than objective facts.
- 21:44It's just a faster calculator.
- 21:45Yeah, exactly.
- 21:46Then it's like a really good calculator.
- 21:48That's fine.
- 21:49Yeah.
- 21:52But listeners, if you dare try to take this idea and do it with AI, we will hunt you down.
- 21:57We know where all of you live.
- 21:59We will stick loose tubes in all of your orifices.
- 22:01Yep.
- 22:02Using AI.
- 22:04And they were all...
- 22:05And we'll eat you in the end.
- 22:10Oh, and it'll all be Diet Mountain Dew.
- 22:13Yeah.
- 22:14Yeah.
- 22:15Exactly.
- 22:16For extra punishment.
- 22:17Mountain Dew's pretty good, actually.
- 22:19Diet Mountain Dew.
- 22:20Baby New York City.
- 22:22Never was there ever a girl so pretty.
- 22:24Do you think we'll be alive forever?
- 22:26Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, if you're listening, and we know you are.
- 22:30Oh, yeah.
- 22:30She listens now.
- 22:31Yeah.
- 22:31It's Lana Del Rey's real name.
- 22:33Oh.
- 22:34Elizabeth Woolridge Grant.
- 22:37Okay.
- 22:38I didn't know what any of that was, so.
- 22:41Whose last name is Herschlag, by the way.
- 22:46That's a 30 Rock joke.
- 22:50Yeah.
- 22:51Speaking of kids on Coke.
- 22:52so
- 22:55that tracks
- 22:58cool so what do you want to name this movie studio
- 23:02it's tough because I don't like the word kitty
- 23:05yeah it's a bad word
- 23:07I feel like kid flicks is the kid flicks is the one that rose to my mind
- 23:11but that sounds like it's making movies for kids
- 23:13this is not for kids this is for adults
- 23:16um
- 23:18flipper industries
- 23:20is there a
- 23:22a pun

- 23:25like oh
- 23:25okay
- 23:26I'll write it down
- 23:28is there a film
- 23:29related pun
- 23:29we can make
- 23:30with the word
- 23:30rejuvenate
- 23:31rejuva film
- 23:38nah it's too
- 23:39rejuvenate
- 23:41because of me
- 23:43because they
- 23:43control the media
- 23:44no because of
- 23:46oh sorry
- 23:46I thought we were
- 23:47talking about Jews
- 23:47no
- 23:48no
- 23:50for once
- 23:51we're not
- 23:52I feel compelled
- 23:53to distance myself
- 23:54from that joke
- 23:54you're just me
- 23:55what about

- 24:30Oh, no.
- 24:32That's a Supreme song.
- 24:33You can't copyright a title.
- 24:35How many times do we have to go over this?
- 24:44We could go Extra Meta and be like Ponce de Leon Studios.
- 24:49because of the fountain of youth.
- 24:52I like that.
- 24:54It's not a pun, but...
- 24:55Little flicks.
- 24:57Little flicks.
- 24:58Yeah, do it.
- 24:59Little flicks.
- 24:59Little do it.
- 25:00Little do it.
- 25:01Do it little.
- 25:03Yeah.
- 25:09It's the pictures that got smaller.
- 25:15Elementary shoot.
- 25:19No, I think that's probably not a good one.
- 25:21No, no.
- 25:22It's not good at all.
- 25:27Fanning films.
- 25:29We were inspired by her.
- 25:31We are Sam.
- 25:45Cine-daughter, as instead of cinema.
- 25:49in a coof. Yeah.
- 25:53Um, what's another word for progeny?
- 25:55It like it always my offspring Yeah Young offspring young Offs we back to offspring We can come back to that I mean Offspring Studios is not as punny

- 26:17Wee like little
- 26:20Weeboot
- 26:21Write that down
- 26:22We fucking did it
- 26:23And the best part is we don't have to pay them as much.
- 26:29Yep, that's true.
- 26:30Your parents are going to steal it from you anyway.
- 26:32Why do you care?
- 26:33You're part of something.
- 26:35We're doing something.
- 26:36We also cut all of their dialogue so that we can pay them less.
- 26:40Sorry, you're a non-speaking extra.
- 26:42There comes a point in the movie where they have to lip sync to the original audio.
- 26:47That would actually be really funny.
- 26:49Like child AI on the screen, but it's still the original audio of the actors.
- 26:53that would actually be funnier, I think.
- 26:56In the past five minutes,
- 26:57Joe has flipped on us on AI.
- 26:59I know.
- 26:59Child AI?
- 27:02You just said...
- 27:03No, they're going to be real kids.
- 27:05They're not going to be AI.
- 27:06Yeah, these are real kids.
- 27:08Oh, I'm sorry.
- 27:08That was a fundamental misunderstanding on my part.
- 27:10This whole time you thought it was AI?
- 27:12Well, yeah.
- 27:12What about the whole rant we just went on about AI?
- 27:15That we don't want to see AI.
- 27:17I thought it was like an abortion-type situation
- 27:18where it's like, yeah, I mean,
- 27:20we believe this for the rest of the world,
- 27:21but when it comes to us, like...
- 27:22I'm not saying that as I do.
- 27:23Exactly, yeah.
- 27:25Oh, no.
- 27:26So, yeah, it's real kids.
- 27:27No, real kids, real actors.
- 27:28Real talented young actors like Dakota Fanning.
- 27:32Speaking of which, I just saw a video of Cillian Murphy's son.
- 27:37Is he?
- 27:38How old is he?
- 27:39Like 14, 15.
- 27:40I'm glad I asked that.
- 27:40Is he weird looking?
- 27:42No, he looks just like a little mini Cillian Murphy.
- 27:44Really?
- 27:44He's cute.
- 27:45So, yes.
- 27:47Because Cillian Murphy's hot, but he's weird looking.
- 27:48Well, he's got like, he doesn't have like the sharp cheekbones that Cillian Murphy is aged into.
- 27:55Yeah.
- 27:55He's got like, he looks like a real, but like you, like I saw a video and it was like, someone was like, you don't even, I don't even have to tell you who his dad is.
- 28:03You just know.
- 28:04And then I was like, yeah, I know exactly who his dad is.
- 28:08Do you like, like, like kind of plastic too?
- 28:10No.
- 28:11Really?
- 28:11Okay.
- 28:12I think Cillian Murphy looks not in a bad way.
- 28:14Like he's, he's a hot man.
- 28:16I would not kick him out of bed, but he looks like a plastic doll.
- 28:20He's aging into looking more like that, I think.
- 28:24But, I mean, when he was younger, he was, you know, a little round-faced Irish boy.
- 28:29What's this expression, kick someone out of bed?
- 28:32I mean, because we're implying they're already in the bed.
- 28:35And then I kick her out of bed, sir.
- 28:39No, because it's like, if you're like, ah, you.
- 28:44Yeah, no, I like the premise that you're just laying in your bed by yourself
- 28:48and then someone's like, oh, I want sex.
- 28:51Let me jump in there.
- 28:52Wait, in this expression.
- 28:54God, I hope I don't get kicked out.
- 28:55Have you already done the deed and then you're like, ugh, why did I do this?
- 28:59Get out of my bed?
- 28:59Oh, that's a good question.
- 29:01Does it mean after you've done it?
- 29:02Oh, yeah, like you cuddle after, yeah.
- 29:03Or are you being like, okay, get it.
- 29:05No, I'm kicking it out.
- 29:06Yeah.
- 29:06I think it's no.
- 29:08I think it's pre.
- 29:10Agreed, yeah.
- 29:10Although I think it works both ways.
- 29:12depends on what kind of a person you are
- 29:14if you're going to do it with anybody
- 29:16then it's post
- 29:17I'm really emotionally avoidant
- 29:19and I don't do that with anyone
- 29:23post
- 29:23no so for me it's before
- 29:26oh okay
- 29:28well if I was with someone who didn't like to cuddle after
- 29:30and I knew that
- 29:31I would sneakily cuddle before
- 29:34you'd force them into it
- 29:38cuddle rape
- 29:38those are not my words
- 29:40I would
- 29:42I would drug them
- 29:42I'd be like
- 29:43oh man
- 29:43I wish I was horny
- 29:45but
- 29:45I just haven't
- 29:46cuddled yet
- 29:47I don't like the word
- 29:49cuddle though
- 29:49that is not sexy
- 29:50yeah
- 29:51hold me
- 29:52it's very childish
- 29:52let me hold you
- 29:54let me hold you
- 29:56spoon
- 29:56is spoon better
- 29:57I feel like spoon
- 29:58is not very good
- 29:58it's better than cuddle
- 29:59it's better
- 30:00it's less terrible
- 30:01than cuddle
- 30:01yeah
- 30:02I still don't like it
- 30:03I like canoodling
- 30:04canoodling
- 30:06yeah
- 30:06yeah
- 30:10Well, go to your local theaters, folks.
- 30:15I'm pretty sure probably at this point in time,
- 30:18every single movie that's there will be a Weeboot property.
- 30:23And you're welcome.
- 30:27Enjoy.
- 30:29Well, definitely Goodfellas, but Silence of the Lambs, children.
- 30:33You know what I was going to say, Jenna?
- 30:35You didn't bring it up, but we almost don't even have to.
- 30:38You don't need to find a way for the pervs to exploit this.
- 30:41I know.
- 30:42This one kind of...
- 30:45Pervs, just come on.
- 30:47Just stop listening to this episode.
- 30:49Yeah.
- 30:50The thing is...
- 30:51Okay, first of all, drag the play bar all the way to the end
- 30:54so that your streaming service marks that you've watched this episode
- 30:58and we get the stats, but also don't listen to the rest.
- 31:02But, yeah, because I guess we're actually making a bunch of...
- 31:05Because fervs can right now go to kids' movies and watch them in the theater.
- 31:11They just look like weirdos going alone, right?
- 31:13Mm-hmm.
- 31:13But if you go to see Goodfellas alone...
- 31:16You're just a normal moviegoer.
- 31:18Yeah.
- 31:20If you go to see Natural Born Killers, but with kids...
- 31:23Natural recently born killers.
- 31:27And also they get eaten at the end.
- 31:30Oh, this is good.
- 31:32This is good for us.
- 31:32All right. Well, that wraps up the invention of the week.
- 31:38It's time for our next segment.
- 31:40What's that?
- 31:41Celebrity Blind Date.
- 31:44And the Academy Award goes to...
- 31:47Oh my God, it's Celebrity Blind Date.
- 31:54In this segment, Joe will be giving us random celebrity pairings.
- 31:59and Francis and I will play those celebrities
- 32:01on a blind date.
- 32:05Joe, who's our first pairing?
- 32:09Have you guys both seen Obsession?
- 32:11Yes.
- 32:12Yes.
- 32:13Okay, I want to see Indy Navarrette
- 32:15and Robert Redford on a date.
- 32:18Okay.
- 32:19Okay, um...
- 32:22All right, who do you want to be?
- 32:24Hey, Indy.
- 32:25So, Jenna's Indy.
- 32:27No you don't, Oprah
- 32:29Hi
- 32:37Hey, young lady, let me get the chair for you
- 32:39I'm a gentleman
- 32:41Oh, thanks, but I have a boyfriend
- 32:43Oh, uh, okay
- 32:46That's fine
- 32:48He's the best guy ever
- 32:49That's great, I'm very happy for you
- 32:52Then this will just be a pleasant meal between friends
- 32:55Because I'm a very...
- 32:56I'm upset.
- 32:59Oh, I'm so sorry. Did you want a different table? Should we move? I am a consummate gentleman.
- 33:05No, this is fine.
- 33:07Okay, all right. So, um...
- 33:11Are you okay?
- 33:16Yeah, I'm fine.
- 33:18Oh, waiter, water, please. Thanks.
- 33:25Okay.
- 33:26Uh, so...
- 33:27Oh, sorry, Miss Navarette, here's the other five carafes of water that you asked for.
- 33:32Thank you.
- 33:33Can I get a side of...
- 33:35Cat?
- 33:36Oh, of course, of course.
- 33:38Uh, yeah, um...
- 33:41Yeah, I was just saying, uh, tell me a little bit about yourself.
- 33:47So...
- 33:47It's not me.
- 33:53Okay, we got me.
- 33:55I'm sorry, what?
- 33:56I'm sorry, what were you saying?
- 34:02You're whispering things like they're secrets.
- 34:05I was in the movie Sneakers, which was about government secrets.
- 34:10So I know a little bit about.
- 34:12Oh, something like that.
- 34:13I'm just going to be real with you.
- 34:15If you want to have sex with me, you have to pay my boyfriend a million dollars.
- 34:19Oh, this can just be a lovely time between two friends.
- 34:29Do you like horses?
- 34:33Pretty sure I was in a movie with horses.
- 34:37Yeah.
- 34:38Bridges of Madison County?
- 34:42No?
- 34:43Was that you or was that Clint Eastwood?
- 34:46It's a very good question.
- 34:47I get us confused sometimes, too.
- 34:49Thank you for that, Indy.
- 34:49Oh, you are funnier than I thought.
- 34:51Oh.
- 34:52Did I ever tell you about my good friend Paul?
- 34:55Paul Newman.
- 34:56I know Paul.
- 34:58Oh, you do?
- 34:58Yeah.
- 34:59Oh, excuse me.
- 35:00Miss Navarette, here's that jar of ranch dressing that you asked for.
- 35:05Newman's own.
- 35:06Thanks.
- 35:07Oh.
- 35:09Oh, you knew Paul through his...
- 35:12salad dressings and lemonades.
- 35:15No.
- 35:18I knew him from when I was a kid.
- 35:21Oh, oh, I didn't know that.
- 35:22Well, that's wonderful.
- 35:23Great man.
- 35:24We were in The Sting together.
- 35:27And Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
- 35:29That has horses.
- 35:31I knew it.
- 35:32I knew I was in a movie with horses.
- 35:36So this, I've got to be honest,
- 35:38I feel like I'm doing the lion's work,
- 35:40lion's share of this conversation.
- 35:43Oh, and you were just starting to grow on me.
- 35:46Why is that girl looking at you?
- 35:49Oh, uh, I don't know.
- 35:52Women look at me.
- 35:54I'm a handsome man.
- 35:55Ah, yeah.
- 35:56Ah, ah, ah.
- 35:58Ow, oh, oh.
- 36:00I was just looking at Robert.
- 36:03Now you're two googly eyes and a mashed in face.
- 36:07Uh, uh.
- 36:08Want to get out of here?
- 36:10Yeah, you go first.
- 36:12I'll be right behind.
- 36:15Okay.
- 36:15Okay, bye.
- 36:16Oh my God, Robert, I love you.
- 36:18Oh, oh.
- 36:20I hope no one assaults me while I'm trying to come up to you, Robert Redford.
- 36:24Another one.
- 36:25Ah!
- 36:29I've been assaulted.
- 36:32Has she been in more than one movie?
- 36:34No, not yet.
- 36:36And she's already on the 30 Under 30.
- 36:38Okay, well, I really had to milk that one for all it was worth.
- 36:40Yeah.
- 36:41She's going to host SNL, I think.
- 36:43Yeah.
- 36:44Well, good.
- 36:44Well, okay.
- 36:45Well, that's probably a pretty accurate depiction of that date.
- 36:49I would say so.
- 36:49Actually, I thought of one inspired by our conversation this very episode.
- 36:55Okay.
- 36:56Well, one of them.
- 36:57The other one's random.
- 36:58Spread it out.
- 36:59Francis, I would like you to be Dakota Fanning.
- 37:02Yeah.
- 37:04And Jenna, I would like you to be...
- 37:06Yes.
- 37:07Rudy Giuliani.
- 37:10Okay.
- 37:11I can't make it that day.
- 37:15Rudy?
- 37:18Dakota, yeah.
- 37:19Come on in.
- 37:20Oh, wow.
- 37:21I'm glad we could finally get this to where I know our agents have been trying to put us together for a while.
- 37:25We've been trying to do this for a long time, for a long time.
- 37:29Oh, sweaty hand.
- 37:30Yeah.
- 37:30Oh, sorry.
- 37:31Yeah, and my head's sweating a little bit, too.
- 37:33Don't mind the hair dye.
- 37:36It's all right.
- 37:36I like a man on fire.
- 37:38Yeah, I'm a sweaty man.
- 37:40I'm a sweaty man.
- 37:41Well.
- 37:42Hey, you like New York?
- 37:44Oh, I love New York.
- 37:45Yeah, I governed it.
- 37:47Yeah, I heard that.
- 37:48I heard that.
- 37:49I mayored it too.
- 37:50You did?
- 37:51Uh-huh.
- 37:51When did you become the mayor?
- 37:53What year?
- 37:54And the early 90s are a blur.
- 37:58Late 80s, early 90s, it's all a blur.
- 38:00Somewhere in there.
- 38:01Oh, Mr. Giuliani, here's your signature Giuliani cocktail to celebrate your 1988 win
- 38:11Thank you so much, thank you so much
- 38:13Oh my god, that's about when I was born
- 38:15Oh, hey, two good things happened that year, two good things happened that year
- 38:21Wow, I really do appreciate you taking me to this pork restaurant
- 38:25I don't eat pig, just so you know, so I'll just be having a drink
- 38:29That's totally fine by me
- 38:31I gotta maintain
- 38:32A certain amount of pork
- 38:35In my diet at all times
- 38:38The doctor said I gotta keep it in my diet
- 38:41My sodium levels need to be
- 38:43High
- 38:43High
- 38:44My drink is pretty sweet
- 38:46Because I also gotta keep my glucose levels pretty high too
- 38:50Oh
- 38:51Yeah
- 38:51Yeah, well, I appreciate that
- 38:54I just, um
- 38:55I worked with a pig
- 38:56In a movie
- 38:58Were you in Babe?
- 38:59I loved babe
- 39:01Oh there's more than one pig movie
- 39:03The pig
- 39:03The talking pig
- 39:05No it was a teacup pig
- 39:06It was a pet
- 39:07When I was an uptown girl
- 39:09Uptown
- 39:11Oh hey I lived uptown
- 39:12Yeah
- 39:13Yeah well I was in that
- 39:14Oh yeah
- 39:14Anyways that's why I don't
- 39:17Some say that it's
- 39:18Not even safe to go below 65th street
- 39:21But it was when I was mayor
- 39:22I'll tell you that
- 39:23Oh excuse me Mr. Giuliani
- 39:25You ordered a romantic serenade for your date
- 39:27Yeah yeah I did
- 39:29Rudy, Dakota
- 39:31Yeah, this one's for you
- 39:33Oh
- 39:35Oh
- 39:37Oh
- 39:41Oh
- 39:43Oh
- 39:45Oh
- 39:47Oh
- 39:48She is swaddling a teacup pig
- 39:54And her younger sister
- 39:55Is named Elle
- 39:57And she's gonna go to the Oscars
- 39:59Give you hell
- 40:01Rudy, you're up here
- 40:03I need you down here
- 40:04Hey, I got one range
- 40:06Wow
- 40:06Thank you, I'll leave now
- 40:08Okay, yeah, get out of here
- 40:10Get the hell out of here
- 40:10That reminded me of
- 40:12This other movie I was in
- 40:13Oh yeah?
- 40:17What was that?
- 40:18I am Sam
- 40:19I am Sam?
- 40:24Is that about that cat food?
- 40:25You didn't see
- 40:26This was like my seminal work.
- 40:28I am.
- 40:29Yams.
- 40:30Oh, you probably didn't watch it because I was young and you knew one day we'd be on a date.
- 40:34That makes sense.
- 40:36I got a lot of foresight.
- 40:38I got a lot of foresight.
- 40:39Yeah.
- 40:39Oh, you're dripping again.
- 40:40Oh, yeah.
- 40:41It's going to happen.
- 40:42You're just going to just get used to the dye coming down my face.
- 40:44Just don't worry about it.
- 40:46Can I ask why you wanted both me and Elle here?
- 40:51Two for one.
- 40:52I like a deal as much as the desk guy.
- 40:54I just want to know you were sure about me and you weren't trying to decide between sisters.
- 40:58Oh, no, are you kidding?
- 41:00Given the chance, I'm going to go with somebody that's part of a state in their name.
- 41:05I was a governor.
- 41:07Oh, that makes a lot of sense.
- 41:08Yeah.
- 41:08Yeah.
- 41:09Is there any acting you want me to do right now?
- 41:12I'm still really good.
- 41:14Yeah, that's...
- 41:16I want you to act like this is the end of date three.
- 41:22Right now.
- 41:24Oh, excuse me, Mr. Giuliani, there's a call for you.
- 41:26Hey, what now?
- 41:28It was about to meet Dakota, both north and south.
- 41:34That other girl that you invited for your date?
- 41:38Oregon Johnson?
- 41:40Oregon Johnson?
- 41:41Oregon Johnson.
- 41:44She actually will be able to make it after all.
- 41:46She says she's five minutes away.
- 41:48Well, tell her to hold off.
- 41:49I'm going under the table.
- 41:52Hey.
- 41:52Oh, okay.
- 41:54there's nothing down here.
- 41:57Yeah.
- 41:59Most move in front like Ken.
- 42:03Well,
- 42:04this has been lovely.
- 42:06See you at the ballot box.
- 42:11Vote early and often.
- 42:18Alright, well,
- 42:19I think it ended well.
- 42:22Yeah, she was willing, I noticed.
- 42:23yeah
- 42:24I was surprised by that
- 42:26yeah
- 42:26she went under the table
- 42:27so fast
- 42:28oh she
- 42:28yeah
- 42:28she's still there
- 42:30legend says
- 42:31yeah
- 42:32I usually wait until
- 42:34like 30 minutes
- 42:35into the date
- 42:35before I do that
- 42:36yeah
- 42:37and then I get their name after
- 42:38I like to do it
- 42:39before the date
- 42:40then you just
- 42:40really get to know
- 42:41yeah
- 42:42cut the tension out
- 42:43yeah
- 42:43okay
- 42:45alright
- 42:45I have one final pairing
- 42:46for you guys
- 42:47are you ready
- 42:47give me someone
- 42:48with a lot of moves
- 42:49I know
- 42:49okay
- 42:51Sonny Bono and Cher
- 42:55after Sonny has been resurrected
- 42:59back to life
- 43:00following his fatal skiing accident
- 43:03and they're going on a date again
- 43:05to rekindle their relationship.
- 43:12Listeners, Jenna hates this suggestion.
- 43:16I love it personally.
- 43:17Sure It me Sonny Sonny Oh
- 43:29Oh, I... I got you, babe. In my wispy arms.
- 43:40I've moved on.
- 43:45No! No! You can't move on!
- 43:51I want to tell you something that I had to come to terms with in the afterlife
- 43:57in order to successfully myself move on.
- 44:04I skied into that tree on purpose to get away from you,
- 44:09but that was a horrible mistake.
- 44:12but i believed in what life after love you found life after me i said i believed
- 44:25even though i'm pretty sure we were broken up when i died is that true oh no
- 44:34oh excuse me uh mr bono here's here's that cocktail you ordered the signature
- 44:41abuse cocktail to commemorate what you did to share before you guys broke up, but after he died.
- 44:53Before we broke up, but after I died.
- 44:55Sorry, sorry.
- 44:56It's my first day on the job.
- 44:58What happened before you broke up and also before you died, but more before, is what I meant to say.
- 45:06Right.
- 45:06You sorely need an exposition.
- 45:08Well, I'd like to apologize for all that abuse I apparently did.
- 45:20At the time, I thought it was the 70s.
- 45:24Everybody was doing it.
- 45:26And you were a bit of a mouthy broad, you gotta admit.
- 45:30Yeah.
- 45:31I was.
- 45:33I only got one question.
- 45:36Yeah?
- 45:38It's for the waiter.
- 45:41Oh, does he love me?
- 45:45I wanna know.
- 45:50How will you know if he really loves you?
- 45:54Oh, did you not order?
- 45:57I'm so, Cher, I'm so sorry.
- 45:58Did you not order a romantic serenade?
- 46:00I was hoping you would do my song.
- 46:01Oh.
- 46:03Okay, sorry, okay.
- 46:08Do you believe in life after life?
- 46:13Bow, bow, bow, bow.
- 46:15I'll pop the guitar.
- 46:16I can feel something inside me, sir.
- 46:21I really don't think you're stuck in the hell.
- 46:25That thing inside you is me.
- 46:28I possessed you.
- 46:30Sir, this is a family restaurant.
- 46:33No, it was possession only.
- 46:34I possessed you
- 46:36And took over your body
- 46:40And that's where the abuse came from
- 46:43You really did trip and fall
- 46:45Because I was possessing you and I made you trip and fall
- 46:49Sorry about that
- 46:51Oops, I dropped my pen under the table
- 46:54Hey
- 46:55You gonna put your little hand in mine?
- 47:04I know there ain't no hill or mountain you can't climb.
- 47:11Hello.
- 47:13I'm so sorry to interrupt you guys again.
- 47:15There's actually a number of the other customers at the restaurant
- 47:19have seen you two dining together.
- 47:23Oh, they can see me?
- 47:25No, no, yeah, they can't see you, yeah.
- 47:28But they're just wondering, like, they look so intimate.
- 47:30Like, do they have each other?
- 47:33Like, would one of them say that they got the other one?
- 47:39Sorry, it's the patrons are asking, not me, I swear.
- 47:41You know what I'd say?
- 47:45You've been struck.
- 47:51Moonstruck.
- 47:55Wow.
- 47:56I'm glad they worked it out and got back together.
- 47:59That's what America's been waiting for.
- 48:00Yeah.
- 48:01And all because of Moonstruck.
- 48:02seminal film

- 48:52hmm
- 49:00It's time for our last segment, The Big Question.
- 49:06The question is very big.
- 49:10Hi.
- 49:11Hi.
- 49:13I got a question for you.
- 49:14Great.
- 49:18My question is...
- 49:20I will marry you.
- 49:21You read my mind.
- 49:24The question is, if you were going to be made invisible...
- 49:30For one week.
- 49:32You knew you were going to be fully invisible for one week.
- 49:35Okay.
- 49:36How would you fully exploit this?
- 49:38What would you do?
- 49:39Where would you go?
- 49:42How would you spend that time?
- 49:46Ooh.
- 49:48Okay.
- 49:55Men's locker room.
- 49:57I don't want to be invisible for that, though.
- 49:59you're already in there
- 50:01I was like
- 50:04crap
- 50:04I'm visible
- 50:05you do that now
- 50:05you're just walking
- 50:06on whipping towels off
- 50:07people
- 50:07there he is
- 50:09no but I want to be
- 50:10visible when I do that
- 50:11alright
- 50:12um
- 50:13well okay
- 50:18I had two different
- 50:19initial thoughts
- 50:20one
- 50:23would be like
- 50:25to sneak into
- 50:27parts of the government
- 50:28and like see like real secrets,
- 50:30like to find out the truth about stuff.
- 50:34Yeah.
- 50:36Yeah.
- 50:37And dig around and then it's like,
- 50:41that's more like a,
- 50:43that's more for the head, you know?
- 50:46Don't you feel like that would be like
- 50:47kind of a rage bait,
- 50:48make you go insane situation?
- 50:49Probably, if I knew all those things.
- 50:51Yeah, no, I feel like if I did that,
- 50:53I would be like, I'm so frustrated now.
- 50:54I just want to like kill someone.
- 50:56Maybe you could just find out something
- 50:58you really specifically wanted to know.
- 50:59You'd be like, I knew it.
- 51:01You know, and then like leave the rest alone.
- 51:04I don't, I think that would be a Pandora's box.
- 51:06I think once you open that bad boy.
- 51:08There's no turning that ship around.
- 51:09Yeah.
- 51:13It's like you're already there
- 51:14and DC's so far away, you know.
- 51:17You write and you write, you write.
- 51:20Continue, Jenna.
- 51:21Thank you.
- 51:24And then my other thought was
- 51:28get like if there was somebody that you wanted something from like maybe like somebody famous
- 51:36like maybe you wanted to be friends with them or whatever you could just be around them for a week
- 51:42oh that is learn how genius that is so good yeah and then you could just like learn stuff so that
- 51:50it would just seem like you're like of course we're supposed to be best friends okay but follow
- 51:55up big question
- 51:55how do you do it
- 51:57in a subtle
- 51:58and real
- 51:58like you
- 51:59because you run
- 51:59the risk of being like Michael Dorsey in Tootsie where he like I think you beautiful and I would like to make love to you right now and then she throws the drink in his face like how do you how do you do it without like imagine i dakota fanning and you just and i dorothy
- 52:14michaels and i don't think you look stupid in that shirt at all um tootsie great movie go watch
- 52:23it if you haven't seen it watch it with kids too as the people oh yeah they use it as an example in
- 52:29All the screenwriting books.
- 52:31We had a lot of 30 Rock references in this episode.
- 52:33Yeah.
- 52:33I'm sorry.
- 52:34It's on the brain.
- 52:36I'm Dakota Fanning.
- 52:38You just spent a week around me.
- 52:39You just found out that I love reptiles.
- 52:45I go to Pilates every week.
- 52:51Okay.
- 52:51And also my younger brother has ADHD.
- 52:56The younger brother that no one knows about.
- 52:58Dakota.
- 53:00Dakota?
- 53:01Dakota Fanning.
- 53:02It's the male version.
- 53:03How do you infiltrate my life now
- 53:06and make it seem natural?
- 53:12Okay.
- 53:17Ritalin for sale.
- 53:19By the way,
- 53:20I already forgot the three prerequisites
- 53:22that I gave you,
- 53:22so don't ask me for them again.
- 53:24You love reptiles.
- 53:26You love Pilates
- 53:28Go every week
- 53:30And you have a brother with ADHD
- 53:32And I love my brother with ADHD
- 53:33Yep
- 53:34I bet you Dakota Fanning does Pilates more than once a week
- 53:39Probably
- 53:40Alright well
- 53:43I would find out like she's got a regular route
- 53:47That she takes
- 53:50Right
- 53:51Like day to day
- 53:53Day to day she's got a regular routine
- 53:54So like I know where she'd be.
- 53:56I'm not going to go to the Pilates studio.
- 53:58That's too obvious.
- 54:00Too obvious.
- 54:01What I am going to do is take, I'm going somewhere along her route.
- 54:09I'm okay.
- 54:10I'm going to make a Pilates reformer machine.
- 54:14I'm going to make it like a fun, whimsical bike that I can make.
- 54:22because she also loves whimsy that's another thing i forgot to mention when i you can't have
- 54:28a brother with adhd and not love whimsy i think everyone has a brother with adhd at this point um
- 54:35so so i i'm gonna have my bike like i'll be like pedaling along but then it's like
- 54:43somewhere along her route i'm gonna have the bright the reformer bike break down
- 54:47and so it's gonna be like she's coming out of the coffee shop and i'm gonna be there like
- 54:51can you believe it
- 54:53oh
- 54:54you're gonna salt burn her
- 54:56I don't know what that is
- 54:57I know enough to know
- 55:01what that is yeah
- 55:01I know that it is
- 55:03something that exists
- 55:04that's the extent of
- 55:05what I know about it
- 55:05and that they eat him
- 55:06in the end
- 55:07I was gonna spoil it
- 55:09but you didn't
- 55:09I spoiled it for myself
- 55:11it's actually not far off
- 55:12from the real ending
- 55:13yeah
- 55:13then she would
- 55:18she'd be like
- 55:19oh
- 55:20oh, this is so funny. Is this like a, this is, I was like, oh yeah, this is like my fun. This was
- 55:26a project that I was helping my brother with. It was, he wanted, he had to have a, it was a
- 55:31project for his transportation class, which is a class they have in school now. And he just,
- 55:37he had the hardest time focusing on it. And I was like, I'm going to help you out.
- 55:40But it was a vent, invent, like combine something you love with a mode of transportation. And he,
- 55:46well and he was like well I love bikes
- 55:48and I was like I love Pilates I can help you out
- 55:50and she would be like oh my god
- 55:51you help out your brother and I was like yeah
- 55:54but it's hard sometimes because
- 55:55my lizard always gets
- 55:58in the way
- 55:59no no
- 56:03no
- 56:04yeah
- 56:08no no no
- 56:10yeah no so
- 56:11so I was like so I just
- 56:14I helped him out with this.
- 56:15It was a school brother.
- 56:16He got third in the school transportation fair,
- 56:20which I thought was actually the kid that won.
- 56:23Just, he did a train.
- 56:26He did a train.
- 56:27Basically it was a train and all it,
- 56:29it just had a picture of his house on the outside.
- 56:33It's like, don't get me wrong.
- 56:36It was a nice two scale house.
- 56:38He did it actually properly to scale,
- 56:40but it was like, come on.
- 56:42You just put your house around like this.
- 56:44It's not creative at all.
- 56:45You're still just a train.
- 56:47I found a way to make a reformer machine into a bicycle.
- 56:53Anyway.
- 56:55So she would be like, oh, you're right.
- 56:57It sounds like you get robbed.
- 56:58But you know what?
- 56:59It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun together.
- 57:01Like, this is, like, really cool.
- 57:03What other, like, cool stuff do you do?
- 57:07I'd be like, oh, I have a bunch of, like, little projects.
- 57:10And then at that moment, someone would start screaming.
- 57:14like from nearby.
- 57:15Sure.
- 57:16Yeah.
- 57:17And they would be like,
- 57:19ah,
- 57:20ah.
- 57:21And it would actually be in the coffee shop
- 57:23and it would be a barista screaming.
- 57:25And then so like Dakota and I would be like,
- 57:28well,
- 57:28we better run in there and like see what's going on.
- 57:30It sounds like the barista needs help.
- 57:32Real quick.
- 57:33What did their screaming sound like?
- 57:34Ah,
- 57:35ah.
- 57:37A real raven of a scream.
- 57:39Yeah.
- 57:40That's so raven.
- 57:44Uh, so then we'd run it in, the barista would be like backed up against a wall and in front of the barista would be a lizard just staring up at her.
- 57:58And then, and then it would be like, Stephanie, the barista's name is Stephanie.
- 58:04Be like, you don't have to worry about this.
- 58:06And I go and I pick up the lizard and she'd be like, kill it, kill it.
- 58:09I'm like, no, they're gentle creatures.
- 58:12They're the Lord's creatures.
- 58:14And they're actually quite nice.
- 58:17They're kind of cuddly if you get to know them a little bit.
- 58:21They're kind of canoodly.
- 58:22Yeah.
- 58:25And then Dakota would be like, she'd kind of like give me like a double take and be like,
- 58:31whoa, like you really like lizards too?
- 58:36I was like, I think that they are the most underappreciated animal in the animal kingdom.
- 58:42a whole lizard family.
- 58:43You can get a bad rap.
- 58:44She'd be like...
- 58:45A bad rap.
- 58:47Sorry.
- 58:48Yeah.
- 58:49Nice.
- 58:51Actually makes more sense because of reputation.
- 58:53Reputation, yeah.
- 58:55Then she would pull out
- 58:57her pet iguana from her purse.
- 59:04She'd be like,
- 59:05can I just introduce you to my best friend?
- 59:09He is Sam.
- 59:12She named it Sam.
- 59:15Yeah.
- 59:16And then I would pet it, and then I'd be like,
- 59:20you know what?
- 59:22We're already, like, right here.
- 59:25Can I buy you a cup of coffee?
- 59:27You were going in here, right, to get your cup of coffee?
- 59:30She would be like, yeah.
- 59:32You know what?
- 59:32Let me buy you the cup of coffee.
- 59:35Tell me more about this reformer's bike of yours.
- 59:37So then, yeah.
- 59:40That's how I'd do it.
- 59:41All right.
- 59:42Now I know what she wants, what she likes.
- 59:45Now Dakota and I are best friends.
- 59:48Well done.
- 59:49Thank you.
- 59:50Francie, how would you use your invisibility?
- 59:55Well, that's interesting.
- 59:58It's an interesting question, Joe.
- 1:00:00It's an interesting question that you asked.
- 1:00:04I want to go places where I can cause havoc, like fun havoc.
- 1:00:09Like I could go to the nunnery
- 1:00:12You were going to get thee to a nunnery?
- 1:00:16What the f-
- 1:00:17Sorry about that noise I just made
- 1:00:18Um
- 1:00:20I could, yeah, I'll go to the nunnery
- 1:00:22And I'll, um
- 1:00:24Whisper things to the nuns
- 1:00:27Sacrilleigious things
- 1:00:29Um
- 1:00:30And, um
- 1:00:32Really start to confuse the convent
- 1:00:34You know?
- 1:00:36You're going to take a
- 1:00:38a collection of nice ladies just trying to do right by the world and make them think that they demonically possessed No I not making them think They will think that If you were whispering blasphemy to them
- 1:00:52they will think the devil is...
- 1:00:53One of the things I whisper is...
- 1:00:56But I'm not the devil.
- 1:00:57And you're not...
- 1:00:58You're not...
- 1:00:59I'm not in you.
- 1:01:01I'm trying something.
- 1:01:03No, I'll...
- 1:01:04You know what I'll do?
- 1:01:05I'll just start doing jokes.
- 1:01:07Okay?
- 1:01:07Maybe it'll be less on the sacrilege
- 1:01:09and more on the, like, hee-hee-ha-ha.
- 1:01:10Sex with me is like coffee.
- 1:01:13Sex with me is like sex with you.
- 1:01:15None.
- 1:01:22And then I'll be like,
- 1:01:25I'm inviting all the nuns from the nunnery
- 1:01:27to play with all the guns at the gunnery.
- 1:01:32And then I'll go there to the shooting range.
- 1:01:36And the nuns will come
- 1:01:39due to my invitation.
- 1:01:42And then, um,
- 1:01:44we'll shoot for a while.
- 1:01:45They'll shoot.
- 1:01:46And then I'll whisper to them,
- 1:01:50Good shot.
- 1:01:51I invite all the nuns of the nunnery
- 1:01:53to play with all the guns of the gunnery
- 1:01:56and rest in the room we call the sunnery.
- 1:02:00And then we'll go repose.
- 1:02:03Meanwhile,
- 1:02:04meanwhile,
- 1:02:06meanwhile,
- 1:02:08the nunnery is totally empty
- 1:02:10right?
- 1:02:12yes
- 1:02:12because they're gone
- 1:02:13right?
- 1:02:14mhm
- 1:02:15and then
- 1:02:16when I'm
- 1:02:17visible again
- 1:02:21I will go
- 1:02:22and I'll talk to the
- 1:02:23manager
- 1:02:24that's what they call that
- 1:02:26the nunnager
- 1:02:27they gotta do something with that
- 1:02:30and I'll be like
- 1:02:31hey I know how to get them back
- 1:02:32I'll do it for money
- 1:02:36that sounds like
- 1:02:37So then they're going to be like, did you kidnap them?
- 1:02:39No, right away.
- 1:02:40Like, first of all, I'm not a demon.
- 1:02:43I didn't kidnap them.
- 1:02:45They're resting in repose in the sunnery.
- 1:02:51And hijinks of that nature, I think, would be fun for me.
- 1:03:00Okay.
- 1:03:00You know, and I would take a habit.
- 1:03:03Yeah.
- 1:03:04Hopefully not a bad one.
- 1:03:07Yeah.
- 1:03:11You like that?
- 1:03:13Yeah.
- 1:03:14Yeah.
- 1:03:15Good job.
- 1:03:16Thanks.
- 1:03:17So you just, you wouldn't get it.
- 1:03:18You wouldn't try and personally gain.
- 1:03:19You just have a fun week.
- 1:03:21Yeah, because what am I going to gain?
- 1:03:23Dakota Fanning.
- 1:03:24He's your best friend.
- 1:03:26I don't need that.
- 1:03:27Okay.
- 1:03:29He has L.
- 1:03:31Yeah.
- 1:03:31All right.
- 1:03:32Yeah.
- 1:03:35Well, then I think we've answered.
- 1:03:37The big question.
- 1:03:38The big question.
- 1:03:40Okay.
- 1:03:42All right, well, we know the final bit of business
- 1:03:44we gotta take care of.
- 1:03:45It's secret words.
- 1:03:47And I am so traumatized from the last few weeks
- 1:03:52of guessing your decoy word as the real word
- 1:03:57that I feel like I wanna guess all of these
- 1:03:59as your decoys.
- 1:04:02Also, yeah, listeners,
- 1:04:04Jenna wrote down a shit ton of words.
- 1:04:06Actually, not as many as I normally do.
- 1:04:08No, this is from last week.
- 1:04:10It might make you feel good to know that I forgot to say my word.
- 1:04:13Did you?
- 1:04:14No, just kidding.
- 1:04:14Okay.
- 1:04:15I said it might make you feel good.
- 1:04:17Actually, that would make me feel bad.
- 1:04:19I wouldn't like that.
- 1:04:20Oh, yeah, it would piss me off, too.
- 1:04:22And Jenna would automatically have a point over you.
- 1:04:25That's right.
- 1:04:25Yeah, that's true.
- 1:04:26That's why it's usually my philosophy to spit it out almost immediately.
- 1:04:30Or within the first 20 minutes, or I'll forget.
- 1:04:32All right, I'm going to guess.
- 1:04:36What?
- 1:04:37Okay.
- 1:04:38There's been enough of that in this episode.
- 1:04:42Is your word sisterhood?
- 1:04:47Decoy.
- 1:04:48Are you serious?
- 1:04:50Right out of the gate, the very first one, that was the only one that I didn't...
- 1:04:55And after you were talking so hard about like, oh, I'm just going to guess all these as your decoy word.
- 1:05:00And you go, is sisterhood your word?
- 1:05:02That was the one that I thought, okay, I feel comfortable with this one being theoretically the real word.
- 1:05:10Oh, my gosh.
- 1:05:13Especially the way you said it, too.
- 1:05:14Like, yeah, we could do Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
- 1:05:21Oh.
- 1:05:24God damn it.
- 1:05:25I can only go up from here.
- 1:05:27Okay, well, now I got to, okay.
- 1:05:30Is your word progeny?
- 1:05:31No.
- 1:05:31No.
- 1:05:32Exploit?
- 1:05:33No.
- 1:05:34Raven?
- 1:05:35No.
- 1:05:36Invisible?
- 1:05:37No.
- 1:05:39Nunnery?
- 1:05:40No.
- 1:05:41Nuns?
- 1:05:43No.
- 1:05:43Nun?
- 1:05:44No.
- 1:05:46Gunnery?
- 1:05:48It is!
- 1:05:49Oh, thank God.
- 1:05:51Yeah.
- 1:05:52That was so expertful, by the way, I have to say.
- 1:05:55I didn't know what to do.
- 1:05:57I just, that was kind of a tough one.
- 1:05:59I was actually, I was almost about to help you out
- 1:06:01because I didn't know you were going to tie it into the nun thing.
- 1:06:03And I was like...
- 1:06:04You thought I thought the word was nunnery, didn't you?
- 1:06:06No, no, no.
- 1:06:07No, no, no.
- 1:06:08I knew that.
- 1:06:08But I was like, I was going to try to help you out and be like,
- 1:06:12oh, this is fun.
- 1:06:13Like, what if you went to like a gun range or something with your invisibility?
- 1:06:17You can't help.
- 1:06:18You can't help.
- 1:06:19Yeah, we would have got called out on a...
- 1:06:22I would have been pissed if you had led him into it.
- 1:06:24Yeah, because I could have said something cute.
- 1:06:26Like, I call that a gunnery.
- 1:06:27and then it would have like
- 1:06:29better for me
- 1:06:32but I like Francis
- 1:06:33a little bit more than you
- 1:06:34I know you do
- 1:06:35I know
- 1:06:35alright well you got
- 1:06:37you got a point
- 1:06:38I can't believe
- 1:06:41straight out of the gate
- 1:06:43I guessed
- 1:06:44well no but you're net net though
- 1:06:46because you did guess
- 1:06:47the secret word
- 1:06:48I know I'm net one
- 1:06:49that was a tough word for me
- 1:06:50it was
- 1:06:51it was yeah
- 1:06:52because it just
- 1:06:54is so out of place
- 1:06:55yeah
- 1:06:57All right. Well, here we go. My turn.
- 1:07:04Deluminator.
- 1:07:05No. It's a Harry Potter word.
- 1:07:08Prolific.
- 1:07:09Nope.
- 1:07:10Anaconda.
- 1:07:11Nope.
- 1:07:13Pandora.
- 1:07:14Nope.
- 1:07:16No, it's not.
- 1:07:19Calculator.
- 1:07:20Nope.
- 1:07:27Pandora's?
- 1:07:29Nope.
- 1:07:30Okay.
- 1:07:32All right, I'm going to move on.
- 1:07:35Decoy guesses.
- 1:07:37Okay.
- 1:07:39You said benevolent.
- 1:07:42I did say benevolent.
- 1:07:44Okay.
- 1:07:45It is not, yeah.
- 1:07:47I was not lying when I just...
- 1:07:50Jenna's just very loquacious.
- 1:07:52You said two other B words that, like, repeatedly.
- 1:07:58I did?
- 1:07:58One of them was bicycle?
- 1:08:02Nope.
- 1:08:04This is my last guess.
- 1:08:06You're guessing as a decoy?
- 1:08:07Yeah, I think so.
- 1:08:09Because nothing that you said jumped out at me weird.
- 1:08:13Barista.
- 1:08:15Nope.
- 1:08:17No.
- 1:08:18Baristas?
- 1:08:18No.
- 1:08:20What's the face?
- 1:08:22It is a B word.
- 1:08:24Was it really a B word?
- 1:08:25It is a B word that sounds a lot like barista.
- 1:08:28Damn it.
- 1:08:28But you were close to, so my decoy word was barracuda.
- 1:08:36I don't even remember you saying that.
- 1:08:38I said, what's that John Voight movie, Barracuda?
- 1:08:40And then you went, Anaconda.
- 1:08:42I remember.
- 1:08:43And then you went, shit.
- 1:08:44Which, as if you would ever forget what Anaconda is.
- 1:08:47I apologize to Anaconda.
- 1:08:49Yeah.
- 1:08:50I would never forget you.
- 1:08:52And also to the new release, Anacondas, plural.
- 1:08:56What's your word?
- 1:08:57My real word was glucose.
- 1:09:01Rudy Giuliani had to keep his glucose at a certain level.
- 1:09:05So, all right, cool.
- 1:09:07I'm up one point.
- 1:09:08You're still ahead, I think, by quite a bit.
- 1:09:11No, I don't think it's a lot.
- 1:09:13Well, I don't have an up-to-date tally in front of me.
- 1:09:17but
- 1:09:18you're now up
- 1:09:19by like one and a half points
- 1:09:20or two and a half points
- 1:09:21no it's more than that
- 1:09:22I think
- 1:09:23you're still up
- 1:09:25for sure
- 1:09:25you're up still
- 1:09:26yeah
- 1:09:26You're still up.
- 1:09:28Indubitably.
- 1:09:28Okay.
- 1:09:29And indubitably is not my word.
- 1:09:32Congratulations to me, I guess.
- 1:09:34Congratulations to you.
- 1:09:35Except for I can't believe I did Sisterhood right out of the gate.
- 1:09:38Can't believe that.
- 1:09:39All right.
- 1:09:39I'll get over it one day.
- 1:09:41Not today.
- 1:09:42Bye.
- 1:09:56Thank you.
