- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans welcome in to do Vol.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Daily presented by Jin Jack dot com and fueled by brass tax coffee another day another Disrespectful article featuring your Jacksonville Jack Wars, and now I do want to give some folks credit out there I have heard here and there some complimentary talk about the Jack Wars this off season But yes, P.N.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: They just put out a ranking of
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: heading into 2026 and the Jaguars coming at 16 right in the frickin middle there that is insane to me this is a team that they were 13 and 4 last year and yes they're coaching is a huge advantage it is a huge advantage they're coaching makes their players perform at a higher level in my opinion than they would with other coaches I mean
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: Case in point, what happened in the year before?
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And the year before that, they have upgraded the roster since then.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: But the coaching has been a major upgrade.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so I wouldn't sit here and try to say the Jaguar is have the best roster in football or even probably like a top five roster.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: But they should definitely be in the five to 10 range.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you combine that with the
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: coaching on both sides of the ball and special teams, then you're talking about what I believe is going to be like a top 5 team in the NFL this year.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: But like just think about some of this stuff.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: You have a MVP candidate quarterback.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: A top 10 quarterback by all rights.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Combined with past catching group that features Jacobi Myers, Brian Thomas,
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: And Travis Hunter, there is not a deeper group of past catchers in the NFL.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Is there, you know, maybe more star-studded at the top?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, yeah, I mean, on paper, you could definitely say that.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm still thinking BTJ is about to have a year.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking of Parker Washington's about to have a year, Britain's strange, et cetera.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think the offensive line you could say is certainly in the middle of the pack.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: But if your only middle of the Pat group on offense is offensive line, which of course I didn't mention running back, I think you know a lot of people look at the jackwares running back room and think it's a weakness.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I look at the jackwares running back room and I say well they added Brian Baku to use been a big part of Liam Cohen successful rushing offenses.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: They bring back basal tootin and liquid Allen, basal tootin, coordinate ESPN's own metrics was a top five running back in terms of success rate last year.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: They bring in Chris Rodriguez, who was a top five running back in the NFL in terms of success rate last year again by ESPN's own metrics.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a weakness.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: because they lost privacy to you, and I don't think so.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then defensively, they are as complete.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're as star-studded as some defenses, but they are as complete as any defense and football.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think you look at their top two defensive tackles of on Hamilton in elite, run defending those tackles.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong said still a very good three-tech.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen and Trayvon Walker, there aren't five group, five edge duo's better than them in football.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: At Linebacker 4a, Lou can consistently one of the most underrated players in the game.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: Not at just Linebacker, like any position.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Ventral Miller.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Look at what he did when he played last year.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this isn't just projection with Ventrell.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: I know with Bacial, you know, you didn't see as much.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Rodriguez, he got a plenty of run last year and he looked a dang good.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Ventrell Miller, when he was out there starting for the Jack Wars, he was playing dang good football.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody points out that stretch and like Ventrell Miller wasn't playing well.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Cause the Jack Wars defense wasn't good when Devin Lloyd wasn't out there.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: Newsflash.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack's defense?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: and two of those games played the two best teams in football.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: Two of the best offenses in football.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Go watch what Ventrell was doing in the context of that defense and then come back and talk to me about it.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: At corner, I love the corner back group.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's as strong
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I know, people don't want to go there because they haven't seen that much of Travis Hunter, but go back and watch what Travis Hunter was doing at Corner last year.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: When you combine what Travis Hunter did, Monterey, Brown, Jordan, Lewis, Jarian Jones, that is very strong.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter is ready to be a top flight corner.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right now.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then the safety group, Antonio Johnson, was the highest rated BFF safety and football last year, led to AFC and interceptions made tons of plays on the ball while also playing sound football and being a really good run defender.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: And being versatile, he played all over the field.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then Eric Murray was a super solid player for them, so like, when I look at this roster, I feel like their worst position groups are middle of the pack, around 16th in the league.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: They're best, which are some of the most important position groups in football, quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, easily top 10.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why do receivers easily top 10?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Tyden, I think easily top 10.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Defensive tackle, edge, easily top 10.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Cornerback, easily top 10.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: So again, I'm not trying to make the argument, the Jack Wars should have a top five ranked roster in the NFL right now.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I also don't think it's anywhere close to being 16.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the, it's like when you actually go look at these teams, right?
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: That are at the top.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: You have the Rams at one.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they're at one.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles at two.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that makes sense.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: See, Hawks at three?
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that makes sense.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's starting to be like a little close.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like they lost a little bit of talent on the defensive side of the ball and offense.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: They replaced some of it.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Clint Kubeyak was doing some heavy lifting last year, but they're still extremely talented.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, they should still be top five.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: The bills, yeah, I think that's fair.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: Getting DJ Moore and Bradley Chubb, I think was a big deal for them.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, Tonsi Gardner Johnson is there.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Josh Allen is a, you know, the combination of Josh Allen, James Cook, DJ Moore, Clare Secure, Dalton, Concade, and then with that offensive line, that does a lot of heavy lifting, but they've got good players on the defensive side of the ball, too.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's fine.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Ravens at five.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you got some questions on the offensive line a little bit.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Receiver is, I mean, it's solid, but, you know, Lamar Jackson, Derrick, Henry, doing a lot of heavy lifting.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: That, that defensive backfield too.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: They got Colleys, Campbell, back.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: They got tray Hendrickson.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: Love Roku on, obviously.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm not having any major discrepancies here.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fine with the lines being at six.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now you start getting into this range here.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Patriots at seven, I don't think the Patriots have a more talented roster than the Jaguar's.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Top to bottom, I don't see that.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos, I think it's close.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: You look at their defense.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: You love a lot with what you see there.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive line, very good.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love J.L.M.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Wattel, Quarton Sutton.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they have good receipt.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, that's probably in a range with the Jaguars in my opinion.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that when you look at quarterback, Jag, Trevor Lawrence is way ahead of Bonix.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans we've talked about a lot, I think the Jaguars roster should be ahead of theirs, I'll just think the Jaguars, it's close, it's very close.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Packers I'll take the Jags.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I mean, I think the Jaguar should be in the top 10 somewhere, and dead there at 16.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's disrespectful.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think that, um, you know, Liam Cohen's going to use that.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: James Ladsson's going to use that, and this can, you know, Liam Cohen said, respect, ain't coming.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's not coming.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's not.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy, but it's not.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's absolutely right, hit it right on the nail right on the head.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the Jaguars can still play the disrespect card all year long.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Good for them.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are in a, the Jaguars are better when they are underrated.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: They absolutely are.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they're being underrated in a big way right now.
