- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: All Right, well, good morning, almost famous og listeners. How
- 0:08Speaker 2: are you doing today? It's Trista and Bob here to
- 0:12Speaker 2: recap the Dancing with the Stars semi final. Oh gosh,
- 0:17Speaker 2: it was a good one.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Good, it was a good one. Everybody is so good.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I woke up this morning and on my Instagram I
- 0:26Speaker 1: follow Whitney Carson, and her and Danny Abidola's dance popped
- 0:30Speaker 1: up and I was just like, oh my god. And
- 0:32Speaker 1: then I saw Julianne Huffs dance. My mind just blew up.
- 0:39Speaker 2: She it was amazing, freaking amazing. Uh, so good and
- 0:46Speaker 2: I'm so glad they did that. And I don't true,
- 0:48Speaker 2: I don't know truly if everyone was surprised or not.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Like I was watching Jenna's face and she was acting
- 0:57Speaker 2: like she was surprised, but maybe like she had to
- 1:01Speaker 2: she changed her she had those pants on, those fringe pants,
- 1:05Speaker 2: and then she had to have ballroom shoes on, and
- 1:07Speaker 2: so she changed. So I don't know if people just
- 1:10Speaker 2: don't look, didn't look down at her feet, you know,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and see it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: But oh maybe they were more blown away with just
- 1:18Speaker 1: how how badass she is. She is. She got out
- 1:21Speaker 1: there and it was like that whole thing went up
- 1:23Speaker 1: on another level.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It was like what she's like, I'm gonna show you
- 1:27Speaker 2: how it's done.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah, just you know, I've been I've been hearing about
- 1:30Speaker 1: how good this cast is. I need to remind everybody
- 1:32Speaker 1: who the queen of the dance floor. Yea, although I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: be honest, man, Whitney Carson is next level. It's like
- 1:39Speaker 1: she is so done together. Oh yeah, well yeah, all
- 1:44Speaker 1: the pros that are left are amazing, but like, yeah,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you're right, she and Jenna and Julianne together, them, Mine,
- 1:51Speaker 1: Riley mind blown. It's crazy so good.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Okay, so you know it's funny. I was like, okay, one, two, three,
- 2:00Speaker 2: We've got all the three people that we thought were
- 2:02Speaker 2: going to be in the final and then they drop
- 2:06Speaker 2: this freaking bombshell that no one went home last night.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I love it when they do that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Spoiler alert, spoiler alert.
- 2:14Speaker 2: No one went all right, that's a little late, but.
- 2:17Speaker 1: A little late. Yeah, I don't understand what a spoiler
- 2:20Speaker 1: alert is. I probably should have done that before host
- 2:22Speaker 1: the spoiler alert.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I mean literally, we're doing a recap of the show,
- 2:27Speaker 2: don't you think we're going to spoil it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You know. And here's the thing, like, I actually really
- 2:32Speaker 1: love that too, because especially after last night, I was
- 2:35Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, it's a bummer that anyone
- 2:38Speaker 1: has to go home tonight because they all did a
- 2:40Speaker 1: great job. And it was like, you know, you're watching
- 2:41Speaker 1: the show, and unlike other weeks where you and I
- 2:44Speaker 1: have been very clear on who we thought should be,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you know, getting sent home last night, I was like,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I really, you know, I mean, at this point, can't
- 2:54Speaker 1: can't we all get a participation trophy and call it
- 2:56Speaker 1: a day, you know, I give one person the mirror Ball.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It was like, that's what they're doing. I mean, everybody,
- 3:01Speaker 1: everybody is basically advancing the semi finals, which is awesome,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and you know, or this wasn't Sun Finals. Everyone's advancing
- 3:08Speaker 1: to the finals, right yeah, And I think that's pretty cool.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And then I'll get to live to dance another day.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So I think that's pretty nice.
- 3:16Speaker 2: M I love it. I love each and every one
- 3:19Speaker 2: of them for all that they brought yesterday. So but
- 3:23Speaker 2: I do have to get into I don't know if
- 3:25Speaker 2: you saw my stories last night, I am an idiot.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Let me just let me just preface this before I
- 3:31Speaker 2: even get started. I'm an idiot. Okay, So last night
- 3:35Speaker 2: I went to try to vote and it was like
- 3:38Speaker 2: like maybe halfway through the show, maybe a little bit more,
- 3:41Speaker 2: and it said voting is now closed. And I had
- 3:45Speaker 2: done that earlier in the season, and I just thought, well,
- 3:48Speaker 2: I must be watching it too late, because usually i'm
- 3:50Speaker 2: watching it like right before we recap, Like I don't
- 3:52Speaker 2: have time to do it the night before because I'm
- 3:54Speaker 2: driving Blakesley to dance and everything, you know, dinner and whatever.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So I'm usually watching it late. So that's why I
- 4:02Speaker 2: don't remember to vote. And I figure that I'm pretty biased,
- 4:07Speaker 2: so let's let the people vote, but you know, maybe
- 4:09Speaker 2: my bias should be voting anyway. So I get on
- 4:12Speaker 2: to vote and it tells me voting is closed. And
- 4:15Speaker 2: then I went on my stories and I complained about
- 4:19Speaker 2: it and I'm like, Okay, what's happening. Why is voting closed?
- 4:22Speaker 2: And someone wrote me and they're like, yeah, it's because
- 4:24Speaker 2: the show isn't live where you are, and I was like, well, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 2: that sucks for people in Mountain time and maybe Central
- 4:33Speaker 2: I don't know exact like which time zone, like can
- 4:37Speaker 2: actually vote besides East Eastern time zone. Yeah, and so
- 4:42Speaker 2: so I'm complaining about it. And then I literally took
- 4:47Speaker 2: a video of Carrie Anne saying, you know, if you
- 4:50Speaker 2: want to keep your favorite people, then you need to vote.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And every like second they're reminding people to vote, like
- 4:55Speaker 2: get out there and vote. I'm like, why are you
- 4:58Speaker 2: even saying that? Like every time you say that on
- 5:00Speaker 2: the show, they should have like a little thing at
- 5:03Speaker 2: the bottom saying unfortunately, voting is closed for your time
- 5:07Speaker 2: zone or whatever, right, Because it's so frustrating. So I
- 5:12Speaker 2: look at my look at my messages again, and someone
- 5:15Speaker 2: wrote and they're like, well, it's because they have to
- 5:17Speaker 2: have all the votes in before the live show is over.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And I'm like, a duh, I'm so stupid, like truly duh.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I mean what I've been. I was on this show
- 5:29Speaker 2: the first season and someone said nothing has changed. Actually,
- 5:34Speaker 2: my cousin wrote and she's like, so maybe that's why
- 5:38Speaker 2: you went home first, because no one in like the
- 5:42Speaker 2: Midwest or Colorado could.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Vote no, right, right, but the show was over.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's all like East Coast and I guess
- 5:53Speaker 2: it's just East Coast. I don't know. So you gotta
- 5:55Speaker 2: have fans in East Coast. That's where you need to go.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Campaign people is go to the East.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Coast if you want to. It's kind of you got
- 6:01Speaker 1: if you want those Keystone states Man, you got to
- 6:03Speaker 1: get out there. And it's right.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yes, electoral college is in play during Dancing with the Stars.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Now in training you got to be on the road
- 6:14Speaker 1: cultivating the oats.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So I'm like, okay, I'm not I shouldn't be complaining
- 6:20Speaker 2: to Dancing with the Stars. It's ABC, Like Robert Mills,
- 6:24Speaker 2: this needs to change, Like something needs to change where
- 6:27Speaker 2: I don't know how, but how do you get it
- 6:31Speaker 2: so that the Mountain time zone and everyone else can
- 6:35Speaker 2: actually vote when they're watching the show, Like is it
- 6:39Speaker 2: they change the they change it so the people that
- 6:44Speaker 2: go home, like I don't know, go home after the
- 6:50Speaker 2: show is over the like the beginning of the next
- 6:53Speaker 2: show or something, or they don't include the votes from
- 6:56Speaker 2: that night. I don't know.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I think I think they could do it, like maybe
- 7:01Speaker 1: what I mean it would have to be social media
- 7:02Speaker 1: followers pretty much exclusively, but they could send it out
- 7:06Speaker 1: to social media followers and say you know, or even
- 7:08Speaker 1: on the screen like you said on the screen, like
- 7:10Speaker 1: each each time zone could say, you know, you must
- 7:13Speaker 1: place your votes between seven and eight pm Central or whatever.
- 7:18Speaker 1: In that way, when the people are voting, they would know, Okay,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I better get my votes in for you know, Wi
- 7:22Speaker 1: and Billy. Yeah. And ultimately, if if they don't know
- 7:25Speaker 1: the number off the top of their head, well they're
- 7:26Speaker 1: not going to get the vote in anyway. Right, So totally,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but they do if they do the recap like that,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I've seen them doing seasons previous where they'll pop up
- 7:33Speaker 1: the number for each person during the recap. At that
- 7:35Speaker 1: point you could write, Yeah, you could write it down
- 7:37Speaker 1: and be like, Okay, I'm going to make sure I
- 7:39Speaker 1: vote right now for you know, yeah, Debbie and Johnny.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So totally wait well, and also like maybe put it
- 7:47Speaker 2: on the screen in the very beginning everyone in the
- 7:50Speaker 2: Mountain time zone, get your votes in now because you
- 7:53Speaker 2: won't be able to vote. This is live right now.
- 7:55Speaker 2: But the people who are going to be watching it later,
- 7:57Speaker 2: I don't know, they need to be. They need to
- 7:59Speaker 2: like let us know, oh, because I really wanted to
- 8:01Speaker 2: vote last night because I was finally watching it in
- 8:04Speaker 2: real time, and.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, in your vote still, I'm telling you no, Well,
- 8:10Speaker 1: I have a feeling I know who you would have
- 8:12Speaker 1: voted for, and that person made it to the finals.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Just fy I.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Spoiled alert And actually I put on there, I put
- 8:18Speaker 2: on the story. I'm like, I'm sorry, guys. I love everybody,
- 8:21Speaker 2: all of the remaining content, and I've loved everyone throughout
- 8:24Speaker 2: the season, but I've I have to vote for Joey.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm like, he's part of my Bachelor Nation family, so
- 8:30Speaker 2: my my votes are going to Joey and Jenna. Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Well, I will say this, I think it would have
- 8:36Speaker 1: been okay without your votes last night, even though I I,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know, I want, I know you wanted to vote.
- 8:41Speaker 1: They crushed it again. I mean I was. I was
- 8:44Speaker 1: reading some of the recaps today and I was, you know,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and I had also watched it, so I was And
- 8:49Speaker 1: I don't usually get to watch it in real time either,
- 8:51Speaker 1: so I was kind of like, you know, I was like, oh, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you know, like the recaps I read today I thought
- 8:55Speaker 1: were really interesting, Like one of them, you know, talking
- 8:58Speaker 1: about Chandler and Brandon, and you know they grade scores, right,
- 9:02Speaker 1: they they in each of their dances they got a
- 9:04Speaker 1: nine and two tens and and then the second dance.
- 9:09Speaker 1: They don't really touch on it in the uh in
- 9:12Speaker 1: the in the recap that's that was written, But on
- 9:14Speaker 1: the show, Carrion and Brandon kind of, you know, had
- 9:17Speaker 1: a moment there. Do you remember that when in their
- 9:21Speaker 1: second dance where she was yeah, you know, I've told
- 9:23Speaker 1: you before or whatever, and he's like, no, you haven't,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and it's like, what is going on? You know? It's
- 9:27Speaker 1: kind of interesting. Yeah, but you know, I think it's
- 9:30Speaker 1: got to be tough, like when you're out there, because
- 9:32Speaker 1: you know, yeah, I mean these guys are all so
- 9:34Speaker 1: good and you can do lifts in certain circumstances but
- 9:37Speaker 1: not in others. Like there's I mean, do you know
- 9:40Speaker 1: what that rule is right there?
- 9:42Speaker 2: I don't, but I know the pros do or they should.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And at this point they know that carry on is
- 9:48Speaker 2: a stickler for your your feet come off the ground,
- 9:50Speaker 2: so you have to, like, like I guarantee you. In rehearsal,
- 9:55Speaker 2: the pros are saying, you have to keep your feet
- 9:57Speaker 2: on the ground or we're going to get a point
- 9:58Speaker 2: taken off by carrym.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but and they do in the same dance, they'll do
- 10:02Speaker 1: a lyft where their feet abut the ground.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Well, no, no, no, in the not in the same dance.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I guarantee you it's not in the same dance. The
- 10:09Speaker 2: lifts are if if they can take their feet off
- 10:12Speaker 2: the ground, then they can do lifts, like those will
- 10:14Speaker 2: be the same dances.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Oh okay, so maybe it's just a fox trot. You
- 10:18Speaker 1: can't take your feet out of the ground.
- 10:19Speaker 2: No, I guess I don't. I don't know offhand what
- 10:24Speaker 2: which ones you can and which ones you can't. Like
- 10:26Speaker 2: obviously the one that Danny and Whitney did where he
- 10:28Speaker 2: was throwing her all around, that was wicked.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Guess so good, Oh my god, so good.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Like part of me is like I kind of would
- 10:37Speaker 2: love to do that, and then I'm like, Nope, not
- 10:40Speaker 2: for me. I don't want someone throwing me all like
- 10:43Speaker 2: spinning me around. And I was I was like reminiscing
- 10:49Speaker 2: about my time because in the in that season, like
- 10:53Speaker 2: I'm really bad at turns like pirouettes, and I get really,
- 10:58Speaker 2: uh dizzy. Yeah, I never really learned to spot because
- 11:01Speaker 2: I didn't train like technically like a ballet, right, And
- 11:08Speaker 2: I remember thinking and saying it all the time to Louis,
- 11:11Speaker 2: I'm going to be so dizzy. I'm going to be
- 11:12Speaker 2: so dizzy, like I can't I can't turn. So if
- 11:15Speaker 2: you're being thrown up in the air like spun around
- 11:18Speaker 2: and stuff, holy crap. I don't know how to do it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Scenes that I've always been. I would be more of
- 11:23Speaker 1: the base person in those circumstances or the lifter or spinner.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I can tell you, frankly, I've never had a deal
- 11:30Speaker 1: with it, but I can only imagine if I would
- 11:33Speaker 1: have to.
- 11:33Speaker 2: But yeah, well, if you were partners with Alona, you
- 11:36Speaker 2: would like she just to spin Alan So funny.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Joey got all tens last night in his first dance,
- 11:44Speaker 1: yes trot. He and Jenna got caught crushed it with
- 11:47Speaker 1: with a three tens, And I mean I was if
- 11:51Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken last night, hold on, let me see
- 11:53Speaker 1: if I'm If I have this right in my head,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah I do.
- 11:57Speaker 2: He got taken off on the paso because yep, his
- 12:00Speaker 2: frame and like the Yeah, there were a couple of
- 12:03Speaker 2: little moments that you could see that they were a
- 12:05Speaker 2: little wobbly.
- 12:06Speaker 1: But but Derek called his first dance the best one.
- 12:10Speaker 1: He didn't even say one. Yeah, he said, one of
- 12:12Speaker 1: one of the best Fox trots he's ever seen ever.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's saying something, that's.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Saying a lot. Joey's blowing my mind right now.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm just like, so, yeah, he's doing amazing.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Pretty awesome that he and Jenna are so in sync
- 12:28Speaker 1: on this stuff. And I mean, man, I don't know.
- 12:31Speaker 1: After last night, I used to think that I thought
- 12:35Speaker 1: that Chandler was the better dancer and that Joey was
- 12:38Speaker 1: going to win because of popularity. That's what that's that
- 12:40Speaker 1: was my mindset. Now I don't know who the better
- 12:43Speaker 1: danswer is because I think he has really come He's
- 12:46Speaker 1: come full circle and it's like, now it's going to
- 12:49Speaker 1: be down to the wire. Man. I mean, I still
- 12:51Speaker 1: think it's those two and well, I think it's those
- 12:52Speaker 1: two and Danny Uh and Whitney in the in the finals,
- 12:56Speaker 1: so I mean, Whitney could do it too. She's an
- 12:57Speaker 1: incredibly popular pro, oh for sure.
- 13:00Speaker 2: And I feel like with every show Alona is gaining
- 13:03Speaker 2: more and more popularity. I feel like she's just being
- 13:06Speaker 2: so vulnerable, Like I don't know if you've seen her
- 13:10Speaker 2: social media posts, but she's basically just sharing that you know,
- 13:15Speaker 2: you can you can be beautiful whatever size you are,
- 13:17Speaker 2: if you like to lift weights if you like to
- 13:19Speaker 2: throw guys around and throw them up in the air.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I thought her her best Ratte audition was pretty good
- 13:25Speaker 1: with Joey.
- 13:26Speaker 2: That was pretty Oh my gosh, so cute. I loved it.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So I feel like she's gaining in popularity, and rightly so,
- 13:33Speaker 2: like I feel like she's so empowering for women. I
- 13:36Speaker 2: love seeing that. I love seeing her thrive and every time,
- 13:41Speaker 2: like last night when she got two I think she
- 13:44Speaker 2: got two tens in one of the yes, she was
- 13:48Speaker 2: jumping up and down. Oh, I just love it. I
- 13:52Speaker 2: love seeing the enthusiasm and the happiness, you know, the
- 13:56Speaker 2: pure joy that's coming.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You know. How I'm surprised was with Danny and Whitney's dances.
- 14:13Speaker 1: They're the only couple. Well, hold on, maybe Steven as well. Yeah,
- 14:17Speaker 1: they're the only couple. Danny Whitney are the only couple
- 14:19Speaker 1: that got no ten's last night. Everyone else got at
- 14:21Speaker 1: least one ten.
- 14:22Speaker 2: No Stephen got a ten.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Yeah, no know what, So I'm saying everyone else got
- 14:25Speaker 1: at least one ten.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Oh, thank you? Yes, yes, yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Danny and Whitney and both of their dances got all nines.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And I thought that was so not fair. Because I
- 14:33Speaker 1: loved their dance. I mean I was just blown away
- 14:37Speaker 1: by the by the salsa. That's the one, Yeah salsa.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I was like, this is some of the best choreography ever.
- 14:44Speaker 1: She's being tossed around like crazy, and she's like and
- 14:47Speaker 1: they were just in it. Man. I just I don't know. Yeah,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I don't know if Danny was fairly judged last night
- 14:52Speaker 1: as all I'm trying to say, because I think I
- 14:54Speaker 1: think he he's a stud man, that dude for a
- 14:58Speaker 1: football player. I mean, most of the football players out
- 15:00Speaker 1: there are still looking like football players when they're on
- 15:02Speaker 1: the dance floor. He's not. He looks like he knows
- 15:05Speaker 1: what the hell he's doing, like he's been doing this
- 15:06Speaker 1: his whole life. I mean it's insane.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah. I think I just saw an interview that he
- 15:10Speaker 2: did with Becca and it's called Scrubbing In and they
- 15:17Speaker 2: were talking about they were at They asked, Whitney, do
- 15:20Speaker 2: you feel like the like the athletes usually do well
- 15:23Speaker 2: on the show, do you feel like it's it's a
- 15:25Speaker 2: good thing to have an athlete as as a partner,
- 15:29Speaker 2: And and she was like, oh, for sure, Like they're
- 15:33Speaker 2: ready come game time. They put the effort in like
- 15:36Speaker 2: they're they they have like that drive to to compete
- 15:40Speaker 2: and to you know, get it done. So I feel,
- 15:44Speaker 2: you know, when I was on the show, I felt
- 15:46Speaker 2: like what I didn't, what I lacked a lot of,
- 15:52Speaker 2: is acting like I I feel like, also having that
- 15:56Speaker 2: like physicality. Physicality obviously is one big thing. Music is
- 16:00Speaker 2: one big thing. Yeah, the ability to like act, and
- 16:04Speaker 2: especially when you're like with a partner who you're not
- 16:08Speaker 2: in love with, you know, but you're trying to make
- 16:11Speaker 2: it seem like you're in love with this person on
- 16:13Speaker 2: the floor, on the dance floor, that you have this
- 16:17Speaker 2: intense connection.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You know. I have a thought on that for you.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think, yeah, and this is because you and I
- 16:23Speaker 1: went through it together at that time, and you especially,
- 16:26Speaker 1: you know, I feel like you were You felt such
- 16:29Speaker 1: scrutiny for at that time that even if you even
- 16:33Speaker 1: if you could have acted like you were into him,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know, and we both know Louie's a great guy
- 16:38Speaker 1: and all that stuff, But even if you you you
- 16:41Speaker 1: probably wouldn't have allowed yourself to do it then because
- 16:44Speaker 1: you wanted everyone to know that, Hey man, Ryan and
- 16:47Speaker 1: I are for real. This is just my dance, you know.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And I and that's just me. I'm not in your head. Obviously,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't know that, but I think I wish all
- 16:55Speaker 1: it the same way, because at that time, we both
- 16:57Speaker 1: felt that scrutiny from people, and it was like, you know,
- 17:00Speaker 1: because I didn't end up with my girl and a
- 17:03Speaker 1: long term thing at the end of the show, it's
- 17:04Speaker 1: like everyone thought, oh, he's just not serious about relationships,
- 17:07Speaker 1: you know whatever, And it's like you felt so judged
- 17:09Speaker 1: at that time, and now all these people go on
- 17:11Speaker 1: the show and they don't feel that at all, right, Like,
- 17:13Speaker 1: but we felt it that we were carrying some load,
- 17:15Speaker 1: especially you being the first woman, and I think I
- 17:19Speaker 1: think that might have been part of that for you.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Like I think if you were to do it today,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you could totally act like you were super into Louis,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you know, and and all that kind of stuff. Yeah right, right,
- 17:28Speaker 1: But back then you were carrying the load for a
- 17:29Speaker 1: whole franchise.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah right, well, thank you. I don't think so. But
- 17:33Speaker 2: I feel like the show's been around for so long
- 17:38Speaker 2: now and I had nothing to base anything right off of.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So you just you see people doing it every day
- 17:45Speaker 2: and it's become part of like our culture, you know.
- 17:49Speaker 2: In a way. So yeah, I feel like if I
- 17:51Speaker 2: did it now that the stigma you know, of being
- 17:55Speaker 2: with like someone else that I'm not married to, wouldn't
- 17:59Speaker 2: either as much. It would still be hard, but it
- 18:02Speaker 2: wouldn't be there as much. But no, like I I
- 18:04Speaker 2: have always respected actors and actresses because I did a
- 18:09Speaker 2: couple cameos after the show, like on ABC sitcoms, and
- 18:14Speaker 2: it was so freaking hard. I just couldn't act like
- 18:18Speaker 2: somebody else. I don't know, I'm I'm more than happy
- 18:20Speaker 2: to have, not more than happy, but I can stomach
- 18:23Speaker 2: being myself in front of a camera, But being somebody
- 18:26Speaker 2: else in front of a camera, I.
- 18:28Speaker 1: No, it's tough. It's tough. My ex wife was an actress,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and I remember watching her in these scenes and I'd
- 18:34Speaker 1: be like, how did she do it? Like I could
- 18:36Speaker 1: do it comedically, you know, like I had no problem
- 18:39Speaker 1: acting like you know, oh this, my name's Billy, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna come in and you know, my garbage man,
- 18:44Speaker 1: and I'm doing this. You got it, you know. And
- 18:45Speaker 1: I and that part was easy. But if I had
- 18:47Speaker 1: to embody a serious emotion, I found it very challenging.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I and I would giggle like
- 18:55Speaker 1: I was in I don't know totally. I was in
- 18:58Speaker 1: a terrible movie called This Scorned.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Okay, I don't think I knew this, that it's true.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I was. I'll never forget it. I was hosting Battle
- 19:08Speaker 1: of the Network reality Stars with a Bravo and Andy,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you know, Andy was executive prettucer of course, and I
- 19:16Speaker 1: get offered all this money to do this movie and
- 19:19Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, this is insane. So I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: talking about it, you know, while I'm there, and it
- 19:26Speaker 1: comes back and Andy's like, don't do it. I read
- 19:29Speaker 1: the script. It's horrible, and I was like, and I
- 19:33Speaker 1: was like, you know, I mean Andy Cohen was still
- 19:36Speaker 1: Andy Cohen back then, like he was very you know, opinion.
- 19:38Speaker 1: He tells you how it is, but he wasn't Andy
- 19:41Speaker 1: Cohen he is today. Like back then, I thought he
- 19:43Speaker 1: was just a behind the scenes guy. I didn't know
- 19:44Speaker 1: he was so savvy and the camera too. And he's like,
- 19:47Speaker 1: he's like, don't do it. Man. I read that script.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So I was like, well, yeah, but I can maybe
- 19:51Speaker 1: make it good. Like I've always wanted to try something serious,
- 19:53Speaker 1: you know. He's like, then try something serious. But don't
- 19:56Speaker 1: make it this well, I didn't take his advice and
- 19:58Speaker 1: I did it, And to this day, I'm always like,
- 20:01Speaker 1: oh yeah, like like my wife, in standard Canyon fashion,
- 20:05Speaker 1: bought as many copies as she could find on uh
- 20:09Speaker 1: you know ever used. I don't know, it's VHS, taper DVD,
- 20:13Speaker 1: I don't even know, but it's like and she literally
- 20:16Speaker 1: gives them away as white Elfhi gifts, like like it
- 20:18Speaker 1: should be like that's genius, Like trust me, trust me,
- 20:22Speaker 1: this is one that you'll probably want to pass along
- 20:24Speaker 1: or you know, if you want to keep it. Uh,
- 20:27Speaker 1: you know, just kind of be cautious with the opening
- 20:29Speaker 1: scene and truth Truth, Truth be told. I were so
- 20:34Speaker 1: detached while doing this because I was like, I just
- 20:37Speaker 1: couldn't be serious and I'm not going to ruin it
- 20:39Speaker 1: for anyone out there who's a who's a who might
- 20:42Speaker 1: stumble across this film, but I I would like, in
- 20:46Speaker 1: the middle of the most serious scenes, I would just
- 20:48Speaker 1: start laughing and I'm like, I'm so sorry, Like I
- 20:50Speaker 1: ruined it for I ruined everyone's experience, I'm sure, because
- 20:53Speaker 1: I couldn't keep it together right.
- 20:56Speaker 2: So when I watched it reminds me of when I
- 20:59Speaker 2: just watch the Special Forces trailer. I think I might
- 21:02Speaker 2: have told you this the other night, but I started
- 21:05Speaker 2: dying laughing when I saw myself, and like I'm bawling
- 21:10Speaker 2: my eyes out, like the worst, the worst moment in
- 21:13Speaker 2: my entire life where I feel like so defeated and
- 21:17Speaker 2: so mentally and physically and emotionally exhausted, and I was
- 21:21Speaker 2: laughing at myself, Like I get it, So why do
- 21:27Speaker 2: we laugh?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, I like it too, Like
- 21:31Speaker 1: you know, Modern Family and Claire and uh oh, like
- 21:35Speaker 1: Bill and Claire and whenever Claire, like someone will be
- 21:38Speaker 1: really sick or dying and Claire would just start laughing
- 21:40Speaker 1: and they're all like, what is wrong with you? And
- 21:42Speaker 1: She's like, I don't know, you know, it's kind of
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think in those circumstances, like I'm so used to
- 21:47Speaker 1: just making fun of myself and making everybody laugh, and
- 21:49Speaker 1: you know, and then when I'm in a sirigous moment
- 21:51Speaker 1: like that where I'm not using my own words and
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to be me, I don't know what
- 21:58Speaker 1: to day, and so I just start laughing. I'm so uncomfortable.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know a lot of is yeah,
- 22:02Speaker 1: but yeah, I mean, imagine me on Dancing with the Stars, right,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I gotta be act all serious. I'll start laughing.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Then.
- 22:07Speaker 1: The only dance I can really perfect is the running
- 22:09Speaker 1: Man or the living Room dance. Those are the only
- 22:11Speaker 1: two I got.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go, that's okay. Would do anything.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I would have been kicked off the show before Eric
- 22:21Speaker 1: Roberts and the dude from Bullhouse or whatever.
- 22:23Speaker 2: No, stop it, stop it, okay. So Finale is coming
- 22:29Speaker 2: out next week and it's three hours long. Man, if
- 22:33Speaker 2: you heard that part, it's three hours long, so we're
- 22:35Speaker 2: going to have to really buckle down and do our homework.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Well, they'll bring everyone back, right, they'll bring the whole
- 22:41Speaker 1: castle come back.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure, Jen, and Jen has said that
- 22:44Speaker 2: her and Sasha are dancing in it, So I think
- 22:47Speaker 2: that they'll probably have every every celebrity who was part
- 22:51Speaker 2: of it this year doing something like It probably isn't
- 22:54Speaker 2: going to be that long, but I'm sure they'll do something. Yeah.
- 22:58Speaker 2: So it'll be good to see the entire cast of
- 23:00Speaker 2: this season back on the dance floor.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Torri will be back, Tory Spelling will be back on
- 23:05Speaker 1: which we love.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yepreat buddy, we'll be there. I wonder if Anna will
- 23:10Speaker 2: actually come since she got nothing out of it.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows, Maybe she'll who knows, maybe she'll surprise us. All.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I can't eve believe I'm going to say this because
- 23:18Speaker 1: I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment. But maybe
- 23:20Speaker 1: she will come back and show some contrition and say,
- 23:25Speaker 1: you know, maybe they'll give her an opportunity to say
- 23:27Speaker 1: I didn't mean what I said with those remarks. I was,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you know, I was feeling hurt or whatever, you know
- 23:32Speaker 1: who that's true. I mean, that would make her, that
- 23:34Speaker 1: would take her next level.
- 23:35Speaker 2: And then Brooks and Globe like they full on had
- 23:38Speaker 2: a relationship and broke up. So how's that going to
- 23:40Speaker 2: be on the dance floor?
- 23:41Speaker 1: And I got matching tattoos matching tattoos they did not. Yes,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I just read.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Why you never get a matching tattoo. Everyone has proved
- 23:50Speaker 2: that that's it.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Second you do it, can you do it? It's splitsville.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, matching tattoos and reality shows don't do either of those.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Generally the kiss of death for relationships unless you meet
- 24:04Speaker 1: on the reality show and you know, there you go,
- 24:07Speaker 1: then there's that.
- 24:08Speaker 2: So yeah, no, yeah, but I mean like afterwards, like
- 24:11Speaker 2: Jessica and Nick Simpson. Oh yeah, Jessica Simpson and everyone.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I mean, look at all the Real Housewives now they're
- 24:16Speaker 1: all they're all going through it. I mean it's.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Crazy, right, totally. I feel like it's the kiss of death.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I hope not, because I feel like, like Denise Richards now,
- 24:27Speaker 2: a friend of mine from Special Forces is filming her show.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well hopefully though she's had enough experience maybe doing
- 24:36Speaker 1: it that hopefully shows true she'll know how to separate
- 24:39Speaker 1: the two, because I think that's where the problem comes
- 24:41Speaker 1: into play, right, you start manufacturing drama for the cameras
- 24:45Speaker 1: and that's.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Comfortable with it. Yeah. I do have a funny story.
- 24:51Speaker 2: So I'm at press day yet yesterday I got back
- 24:56Speaker 2: and we're at the Fox Fox studios and there's this show.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Like I walk into the green room and James Vanderbeek
- 25:06Speaker 2: is in there, and I didn't think anything of Like
- 25:08Speaker 2: I was like, wait, I wonder if he's doing something
- 25:10Speaker 2: with our show. But they had a whole other show
- 25:13Speaker 2: there that they him Tay Diggs, Anthony Anderson who I know,
- 25:19Speaker 2: you know, and.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Dana I used to be on basketball team together.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Bruno walks into the green room and I'm like, Bruno, hi,
- 25:29Speaker 2: and you could tell he had no freaking clue who
- 25:31Speaker 2: I was. And I was like, it's Trista. I was
- 25:34Speaker 2: the very first one ever kicked off of Dancing with
- 25:37Speaker 2: the Stars. And he's like, oh, hi, gave me a
- 25:40Speaker 2: big ug. Oh my gosh, he is. He is hysterical,
- 25:45Speaker 2: like he is such a character, and he's true to
- 25:49Speaker 2: that character all the time. I write, what you see
- 25:54Speaker 2: on television is exactly who he is.
- 25:56Speaker 1: And you are so spicy today, you look. It's so
- 26:02Speaker 1: great to see you again.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yes, no, it was so much fun to see him.
- 26:07Speaker 2: So that was a fun little Dancing with the Stars moment.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Did you tell gold Golden Tete? I said, Hi, did
- 26:12Speaker 1: he remember me?
- 26:13Speaker 2: I did?
- 26:14Speaker 1: I did.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I said that, you know, we do a podcast together
- 26:17Speaker 2: and we're friends, and he was like, oh, yeah, you know.
- 26:21Speaker 2: We talked about golf. He actually we talked about pickleball.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I think I told you this during Special Forces because
- 26:28Speaker 2: he's like he's like playing in like I don't know
- 26:31Speaker 2: if it's pro circuits, but like with like tournaments and.
- 26:36Speaker 1: He's he's amazing at every sporty place.
- 26:39Speaker 2: He's amazing.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Oh my god. We were golfing. The few times we
- 26:43Speaker 1: golf together. Every single time, I was like he would
- 26:45Speaker 1: almost get a hole in one every single round.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's I mean.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I was like, this guy's unbelievable.
- 26:52Speaker 2: You know, he's so good, such a good athlete. But
- 26:54Speaker 2: he has a new pickleball paddle and I'm like, oh,
- 26:57Speaker 2: can I have one, give me a pickable battle. I'll
- 27:02Speaker 2: promote it the gold to my like minimal following, but whatever. No,
- 27:08Speaker 2: So yeah, I it was. It was such a fun day.
- 27:12Speaker 2: But that was a fun little dancing with the stars.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Like yeah, what do you call it? When thing's meshed?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Sure, a little fat, a little uh when the two
- 27:19Speaker 1: worlds collide? There you go?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you?
- 27:32Speaker 1: Is it prediction time?
- 27:34Speaker 2: Prediction time? Let's do this? So first, second, third, fourth,
- 27:37Speaker 2: you go first.
- 27:38Speaker 1: So basically whoever I don't names go is not. I mean,
- 27:41Speaker 1: because there's five people that advance.
- 27:43Speaker 2: We can do fifth too. Yeah yeah, yeah, all.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Right, here's my order. I'm gonna go from fifth to first. Yep,
- 27:50Speaker 1: all done. Okay in fifth place Stephen.
- 27:56Speaker 2: And Riley, Okay, okay, I agree.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna write this. I'm gonna write this down my predictions,
- 28:02Speaker 1: and now I'm gonna write down yours as well. Okay,
- 28:05Speaker 1: so fifth, Stephen and Riley, all right, yeah, fourth place. See,
- 28:12Speaker 1: now it's getting dicey because now I know, I know
- 28:15Speaker 1: my personal thought on this one. But I just read
- 28:20Speaker 1: a statement that carry Anne said to Alana where she
- 28:24Speaker 1: said that she feels honored to have watched the dance
- 28:26Speaker 1: and to have had and that Alana has changed her life.
- 28:29Speaker 1: And so, pardon me, feels like I think a lot
- 28:31Speaker 1: of people are going to feel that way about Alana.
- 28:33Speaker 1: But I'm still saying fourth place is Lana and Alan Alona, Alona.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, thank you.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I've been saying that season And actually, so I'm going
- 28:46Speaker 2: to chime in on fourth. We'll just do it side
- 28:48Speaker 2: by side, Okay, as we go, we'll go fifth. First,
- 28:51Speaker 2: I would have said that I think it's going to
- 28:54Speaker 2: be a change up. I think that we're going to
- 28:57Speaker 2: have a shock, and I actually think that will go
- 29:00Speaker 2: home fourth.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So you think fifth will be Stephen and Riley like me,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I do, And then you think fourth will be Danny
- 29:08Speaker 1: and Whitney.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I just I feel like there's always some kind of shock.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 2: And the shock to me if I had if I
- 29:20Speaker 2: had to guess which I'm guessing, I'm going to guess
- 29:24Speaker 2: that it's a switch up between who I would have
- 29:26Speaker 2: thought would be fourth, and I thought all along, all season,
- 29:32Speaker 2: I said, I think it's going to be Danny, Chandler
- 29:36Speaker 2: and Joey. Yeah at the end, top three, But I think,
- 29:40Speaker 2: because there's always a shock, I'm gonna I'm gonna change
- 29:43Speaker 2: it up. I'm going to say that Danny, Danny's going
- 29:46Speaker 2: to go home fourth.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Okay, So then who goes home for my third My
- 29:50Speaker 1: third place finish is Danny and Whitney. Yeah, so who
- 29:53Speaker 1: is your third place?
- 29:54Speaker 2: And then mine is Alona?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Okay, Colona for you? All Right? Now we're in top
- 30:00Speaker 1: to everyone, this is when the poop gets real, you
- 30:04Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? Yeah, Okay, Now I will say
- 30:07Speaker 1: this again. My original prediction was it's gonna come down
- 30:11Speaker 1: to Joey and Chandler. But Chandler's gonna win because she's
- 30:14Speaker 1: a Joey's gonna win because he's more popular, and Chandler
- 30:17Speaker 1: will come in second place because no one really well
- 30:20Speaker 1: at least I didn't know her before this show, right, Yeah, man,
- 30:24Speaker 1: I'm still This is still a tough one for me.
- 30:26Speaker 1: But I think, yeah, Chandler's second, Joey wins, That's that's
- 30:30Speaker 1: what I want to have happened. But that's also what
- 30:32Speaker 1: I think will happen.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Chandler, that's what you think too, same same, same, yep.
- 30:38Speaker 1: All right, So Chandler's second.
- 30:39Speaker 2: What I want to have happened and what I think
- 30:41Speaker 2: will happen. Yeah, I do too. Even though like Chandler
- 30:45Speaker 2: has had perfect scores like across the board for a
- 30:50Speaker 2: couple of different shows, I just I don't know. I
- 30:54Speaker 2: feel like Bachelor Nation's gonna come out, and like Jenna
- 30:57Speaker 2: has a massive following too, And I feel like even
- 31:04Speaker 2: though Brandon has really I feel like grown on. People
- 31:09Speaker 2: like Derek even said like you have come so far.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I remember you being thirteen on the show or whatever,
- 31:15Speaker 2: and so I I and I do think Chandler is
- 31:24Speaker 2: an incredible dancer. It's very hard to tell that she's
- 31:28Speaker 2: not a pro she's dancing. Yeah, if you just turn
- 31:32Speaker 2: on the show and you turn it on while Chandler
- 31:34Speaker 2: and Brandon are dancing, you're.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Like, how do I know this Brandon guy? What show?
- 31:38Speaker 1: Is he hot?
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 31:41Speaker 1: I don't remember seeing this dude. You know that's I mean, honestly,
- 31:44Speaker 1: I know for it every week. Every week. I feel
- 31:46Speaker 1: that way too. Yeah, I think I really believe that
- 31:48Speaker 1: Joey has come into his own as a dancer in
- 31:50Speaker 1: such a great way and Jenna. It's obviously attributable to
- 31:53Speaker 1: Jenna as well, by learning, you know, what his strength
- 31:57Speaker 1: can be and all that stuff as a choreographer. I
- 31:59Speaker 1: don't know what I'm talking about right now. I'm just assuming,
- 32:01Speaker 1: but I feel like I do feel like bachel Nation
- 32:05Speaker 1: is going to come through because we always do. We
- 32:07Speaker 1: always come through on this stuff. Guys, got we can't
- 32:10Speaker 1: let Joey down.
- 32:10Speaker 2: We don't always. I'm going to disagree with you there,
- 32:13Speaker 2: because there has never been a male to win that
- 32:16Speaker 2: were in the finale. I don't think they've even been
- 32:19Speaker 2: in the that's true, but is that right? Is that
- 32:22Speaker 2: right that they haven't even been in the finale? I
- 32:25Speaker 2: think you're correct on you didn't you say that last night?
- 32:28Speaker 1: I just think that no dude from the Bachelor has
- 32:31Speaker 1: ever danced like this. Dude like Joey is like.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Well yeah that too, but no one's ever won. So yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 2: so I think it's time. It's time for definitely time
- 32:43Speaker 2: male a Bachelor lead to win. I'm so excited to
