- 0:00Speaker 1: Just about a walk off victory here today with Chris
- 0:02Speaker 1: Freeman knocking that one through coming out with the win.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I mean, what do you make of the team's effort
- 0:08Speaker 1: to just find a way to get this one.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It was a gut check win. It was a huge
- 0:11Speaker 2: win for us on the road. It was ugly by
- 0:15Speaker 2: our standards, you know. I mean, it just wasn't pretty.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It was it demanded everything we had and we got
- 0:22Speaker 2: it done. And I think that that's a credit to
- 0:24Speaker 2: these guys and it's something we can teach off of
- 0:26Speaker 2: and build from.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Defensively, there were a lot of moving parts. Guys were
- 0:30Speaker 1: banged up. Even thinking of Brian Parham wasn't able to
- 0:33Speaker 1: be one hundred percent today. So what did you see
- 0:35Speaker 1: from the depth of this team with guys just being
- 0:37Speaker 1: able to get in there and make plays.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I was just proud of these guys because no matter
- 0:41Speaker 2: who had to go in, they stepped up and they
- 0:42Speaker 2: got it done. And that was offense. I was defense
- 0:44Speaker 2: touring White win in there at the end in a
- 0:47Speaker 2: two minute drive when it was critical. Everything got it done,
- 0:50Speaker 2: you know. And that's listen, people are going to be
- 0:53Speaker 2: disappointed that we didn't win by more or that it
- 0:56Speaker 2: was ugly and we didn't you know, run for enough
- 0:58Speaker 2: yards or pass enough yards. Remember, the main objective is
- 1:01Speaker 2: to win, and sometimes wins that are ugly can lead
- 1:04Speaker 2: to great things in the future. And so that's listen,
- 1:07Speaker 2: we're not gonna we're not just gonna go we want
- 1:09Speaker 2: and you know, laugh it off, but we're gonna dig
- 1:11Speaker 2: deep and find out how we can get better. But
- 1:13Speaker 2: we do that after every game.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Joe Finiano, you know, you said, didn't pass for a
- 1:17Speaker 1: million yards, but found ways to pick up yards with
- 1:20Speaker 1: his legs. And that's now a couple of weeks in
- 1:21Speaker 1: a row. What have you found from Joe being able
- 1:23Speaker 1: to create some yardage that way.
- 1:25Speaker 2: He's tough, he has great vision, he knows when to
- 1:28Speaker 2: pull the ball and run, he knows when to get down,
- 1:31Speaker 2: so he doesn't take a lot of hits. I think
- 1:33Speaker 2: it's just a sign of maturity. I think it's him
- 1:35Speaker 2: understanding our defense very very our offense very very well.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And where the you know, opportunities for him are gonna
- 1:43Speaker 2: be to to get get runs, you know, get get
- 1:46Speaker 2: yards with his legs.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And moments like this we get to talk about the kickers.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So Chris Freeman. What a luxury it is to have
- 1:52Speaker 1: this guy coming back for one more year.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Well, I don't think there's ever a doubt, you know,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and anyone on our sideline at least that he was
- 1:57Speaker 2: gonna get that done. And you know, we just needed
- 1:59Speaker 2: to get in and his range and we figured he'd
- 2:01Speaker 2: punch it through and he did. And you know, we
- 2:02Speaker 2: work on that too. Minute we took over with I
- 2:04Speaker 2: think forty nine seconds or fifty nine seconds, what was it,
- 2:07Speaker 2: And you know, we we work on that, as you know, constantly,
- 2:11Speaker 2: And I don't think anyone had a doubt. It was
- 2:13Speaker 2: kind of like the Syracuse game, or we didn't have
- 2:15Speaker 2: a doubt that we'd go down there and we'd be
- 2:16Speaker 2: able to kick a field goal to force that win
- 2:18Speaker 2: in overtime and get the win here. So, uh, it's
- 2:21Speaker 2: a good feeling. I mean, it's it's it was a
- 2:23Speaker 2: gut check and I'm proud of our players.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Got on the win.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Thanks coach, Thank you,
