- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you
- 0:03Speaker 1: may be. Welcome back to Honey Badger Radio. My name
- 0:06Speaker 1: is Brian and this is the Fireside Chat and today
- 0:10Speaker 1: we have a special guest. You guys know that we've
- 0:14Speaker 1: been doing a bit of a recurring series of discussions
- 0:18Speaker 1: and interviews with say like service members that have been
- 0:24Speaker 1: run through the kangaroo courts of the legal system, as
- 0:29Speaker 1: it were. And this is all thanks to the great
- 0:33Speaker 1: work done by Arvis Owens who has been helping us
- 0:36Speaker 1: out with that and helping you get people to tell
- 0:39Speaker 1: their stories. And today we have one such guests, Dalton Clark.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And I don't know much about it. I like to
- 0:47Speaker 1: go into these things blind so that you get like
- 0:50Speaker 1: a pretty organic reaction from me. So I want to
- 0:53Speaker 1: welcome Dalton Clark and his father to the show.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Welcome. How are you guys doing.
- 0:59Speaker 3: We're doing good.
- 1:00Speaker 2: That's good, all right?
- 1:02Speaker 1: And yeah, so I guess like we should probably just
- 1:05Speaker 1: get into your story, so can you guys, And you
- 1:09Speaker 1: you know, feel feel free to jump in whenever you
- 1:12Speaker 1: know you want to say something or or if you
- 1:14Speaker 1: want to correct me, that's fine too. But yeah, tell
- 1:18Speaker 1: us a little bit about First of all, you know
- 1:21Speaker 1: who you are, what you guys do, what what you
- 1:24Speaker 1: do specifically, and and what your story is.
- 1:28Speaker 3: So my name is Dalton Clark. I was a lieutenant
- 1:32Speaker 3: in the Army in the ordnance. I currently am a taxidermist.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'm I am Travis Clark, retired lieutenant colonel. I kind
- 1:45Speaker 4: of do whatever I want to do these days.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So it's like a you guys are, It's like a
- 1:49Speaker 1: military family.
- 1:51Speaker 4: My middle story was in we got like fourteen people
- 1:55Speaker 4: that are either in retired or currently serve in our family,
- 2:01Speaker 4: immediate first and second cousins.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Wow, Well, firstly, thank you for your service. I really
- 2:07Speaker 1: appreciate it. And yeah, that's very that's very cool to hear.
- 2:12Speaker 1: So I guess then this is probably is this strange
- 2:18Speaker 1: to learn about, like what's happening with your son?
- 2:23Speaker 4: It's not strange now. It was strange coming into the
- 2:27Speaker 4: military thirty four years the military. My last three or
- 2:30Speaker 4: four years I've seen for the military was wrongfully sending
- 2:36Speaker 4: soldiers through a stressful situation twice. The first thing I
- 2:40Speaker 4: saw was the army will take you through the courts
- 2:44Speaker 4: and if you're found not guilty, the Army will send
- 2:46Speaker 4: you to a second set of courts called separation boards,
- 2:50Speaker 4: that are pretty much made up of a three person
- 2:54Speaker 4: panel and two lawyers doing the same thing that they
- 2:57Speaker 4: did in a criminal court to find somebody guilty, but
- 3:03Speaker 4: the guilty was to separate reasons for separation. And but
- 3:07Speaker 4: the soldier had to go through this same stressful situation
- 3:11Speaker 4: even though he's not facing he's not facing jail, but
- 3:16Speaker 4: he's facing separation with a disarmable discharge, which is pretty
- 3:21Speaker 4: bad in the outside world.
- 3:23Speaker 3: You're double tapping.
- 3:24Speaker 4: And what I saw it was for was nothing more
- 3:27Speaker 4: than practice for the lawyers in the u CMJ arena,
- 3:32Speaker 4: which I found disheartening, disgusting.
- 3:36Speaker 3: That they would do soldiers this way.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so that does it?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Does it match your like your own personal history with
- 3:46Speaker 1: the military, Like is this like a thing that you
- 3:48Speaker 1: think is sort of novel like this or like a trend.
- 3:51Speaker 3: No, it's normal.
- 3:53Speaker 4: It You don't know it's normal until you're wrapped into that.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I was the president of fourteen separation boards. Once I
- 4:01Speaker 4: reached lieutenant colonel and colonel level, I didn't see you
- 4:06Speaker 4: this until I got to that level, which once once
- 4:09Speaker 4: I saw it was eye opening. It was like, oh,
- 4:11Speaker 4: my gosh, they're doing this to soldiers and on the
- 4:15Speaker 4: actaditty world on regular military post. Because I was not
- 4:20Speaker 4: on a regular military post. I was a small post
- 4:22Speaker 4: in Wisconsin. But on a regular military post, it's worse
- 4:26Speaker 4: because if you're separated, if you're on a president of
- 4:29Speaker 4: separation board, your commander's watching you. Your commander's putting pressure
- 4:34Speaker 4: on you to kick people out because it looks good
- 4:38Speaker 4: for you and your promotion, which is also disgusting in
- 4:42Speaker 4: the military.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It's and that's what that's what I found out when
- 4:47Speaker 3: I was going through my flag.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Well, well, let's let's hear your story, Dalton. I want
- 4:53Speaker 1: to know, uh, basically, like you know a little bit
- 4:56Speaker 1: about what like what you're growing up and and how
- 5:00Speaker 1: you got into the military, what that was like early on,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and then we'll get into like what you know, the
- 5:04Speaker 1: actual incident.
- 5:07Speaker 2: That you know you're we're basically that brings us here.
- 5:10Speaker 3: So okay. So, so a military kid moved around quite
- 5:17Speaker 3: a bit. I was an eagle scout. I saw what
- 5:21Speaker 3: we had growing up and then moving around and kind
- 5:24Speaker 3: of the diverse things that we I guess grew up with.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It kind of pushed me towards the Army showed me
- 5:31Speaker 3: that there was a good foundation, good chance of moving
- 5:35Speaker 3: around seeing different stuff, and and just a good stable job.
- 5:39Speaker 3: That's what I saw with my father grow rolling around
- 5:43Speaker 3: being in the army. So I went to college to
- 5:48Speaker 3: wrestle in the Big ten, got a scholarships go do that,
- 5:52Speaker 3: and then I did an on nine Romeo, which is
- 5:55Speaker 3: an officer candidate with r OTC. So I did a
- 5:58Speaker 3: split up. I took a summer instead of wrestling with
- 6:03Speaker 3: the university and went to boot camp and becoming enlisted.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And this is something you wanted to do, like you like?
- 6:14Speaker 1: This was sort of like in line with you know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: your your personal goals.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yes, it was. I know a lot of wrestlers will
- 6:23Speaker 3: go into the Army because it kind of fits that
- 6:25Speaker 3: type of lifestyle, especially if you go to like the
- 6:28Speaker 3: infantry or try to go to special Forces or rangers
- 6:31Speaker 3: or things of that nature. That was kind of my
- 6:35Speaker 3: goal until I got to RTC and then we had
- 6:37Speaker 3: some green and Gold guys in the program and say
- 6:40Speaker 3: it's all who when you're twenty, but when you turn
- 6:42Speaker 3: thirty and forty, it's no longer WHO. It's no more fun. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 3: your knees, your back getting pissed on with the rain
- 6:50Speaker 3: hoo ches. He's like, it's no fun anymore. So it's
- 6:53Speaker 3: like he just that that older gentleman pretty much told me,
- 6:57Speaker 3: think about what you want towards the future. Look at
- 7:03Speaker 3: a core that can set you up where it's not
- 7:06Speaker 3: going to burn you out. And that's why I chose logistics.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I knew army they can help me get understanding the logistics.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And when I get outside in the civilian world, they said,
- 7:16Speaker 3: it's a sixth.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Oh I think I lost them guys. Yeah, they dropped out.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'll uh, they'll probably try and come right back, we hopefully,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and I'll send them a text right now, sorry about that.
- 7:34Speaker 1: These things happen. It's the Internet, you know. So, uh,
- 7:43Speaker 1: there they are.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Oh, there we go.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It's okay, it's okay. These things happen.
- 7:49Speaker 1: All right, So you're talking about logistics, apologize you're back.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, So that was kind of the route that I
- 7:54Speaker 3: had chose. So I met my ex wife when I
- 7:57Speaker 3: was in college, I think I was a junior. Spent
- 8:02Speaker 3: a lot of time with her and everything was fine.
- 8:05Speaker 3: It seemed like it seemed like she was being helpful
- 8:10Speaker 3: and kind of like a girlfriend should she had her moments.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I actually had some like growing up to do, and
- 8:16Speaker 3: I feel like we all all did at some point. Sure,
- 8:19Speaker 3: But it's like, so she had a thing called interview metriosis,
- 8:23Speaker 3: which is where you she told me she could get pregnant.
- 8:27Speaker 4: And.
- 8:30Speaker 3: That was pretty much the thing where it was like, okay,
- 8:33Speaker 3: well my goal was to become a captain and then
- 8:38Speaker 3: talk about kids if we could. Next way, that way,
- 8:41Speaker 3: we're financially stable, everything's okay, moving in the right direction.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Which is four to five years into the military service.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah, And so Indometriosa's is that that doesn't necessarily guarantee
- 8:53Speaker 1: that she can't have kids.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It just makes it a lot harder or.
- 8:58Speaker 3: The high possibility that she couldn't. She told me like, yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 3: that's what she told me. Then to come to find
- 9:06Speaker 3: out that she told my family at a family reunion
- 9:08Speaker 3: that she was to be the next one pregnant and
- 9:11Speaker 3: no one told me this. So right when I go
- 9:15Speaker 3: to a commission after I commissioned, she tells me that
- 9:17Speaker 3: she's pregnant, and I try to do the right thing
- 9:22Speaker 3: and take care of my family, and I married her
- 9:27Speaker 3: and put her on try care and make sure that
- 9:31Speaker 3: they were taken care of when we moved to the
- 9:34Speaker 3: duty stations, because at that point we've been I got
- 9:38Speaker 3: married probably about a year year two years in of
- 9:44Speaker 3: so ever, think it was that big of a deal.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Let me let me ask, if you don't mind, let
- 9:52Speaker 1: me ask, did you before this happened? First of all,
- 9:57Speaker 1: was your relationship with her? Monogamously? It was just you two?
- 10:01Speaker 1: There was no like you know, I know you weren't
- 10:05Speaker 1: like playing the field. You were looking for somebody to
- 10:07Speaker 1: settle down with perhaps. And also, did you did you
- 10:11Speaker 1: think before you learned about the pregnancy? Did you think
- 10:14Speaker 1: she could be the one? But I'm just gonna like
- 10:16Speaker 1: wait and see, or you weren't sure or what?
- 10:20Speaker 3: I felt like she was the one, but some some
- 10:25Speaker 3: things kind of had me questioning it. But at the
- 10:28Speaker 3: same time, it's like I was at the time I
- 10:30Speaker 3: was questioning things. We were already married.
- 10:33Speaker 4: So there was symptoms like red flags, red flags for
- 10:39Speaker 4: me and his mom right off the bat, we were like, uh,
- 10:43Speaker 4: she came in here telling us how the first day
- 10:45Speaker 4: we met her, the first five minutes she started talking
- 10:47Speaker 4: about how her mom and dad beat her, how her
- 10:50Speaker 4: mom and dad treated your bad, how her mom and
- 10:52Speaker 4: Dad wouldn't give her no money, these type things. Then
- 10:56Speaker 4: she tried to start separating Dalton from us, which we
- 10:59Speaker 4: have a very very tight relationship. And see that after
- 11:04Speaker 4: we wrestled three hundred and sixty five days a year,
- 11:07Speaker 4: so we were pretty much together for the last five
- 11:11Speaker 4: years of his high school career and they went to college,
- 11:13Speaker 4: and then when he met Anna, there was a lot
- 11:15Speaker 4: of stuff that was going on, like we were being
- 11:17Speaker 4: questioned what we were doing while we were doing it.
- 11:20Speaker 4: And then Dalton's a lot like I am. He'll shoot
- 11:24Speaker 4: a text and if it's not five words, getting it
- 11:28Speaker 4: out there quick and easy. We would be getting these
- 11:32Speaker 4: texts that were three four inches long on a phone
- 11:36Speaker 4: and the essay, yeah, yeah, that's not Dalton.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Dalton ain't right now. I didn't even know that she was.
- 11:43Speaker 3: She was in my phone pretty much.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So there were red flags.
- 11:48Speaker 1: She was a little bit controlling, a little bit like
- 11:51Speaker 1: kind of wanted to, like, you know, pull you away
- 11:54Speaker 1: from your family kind of things.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I feel like she was very manipulatent. And usually I
- 11:59Speaker 3: was a good judge of character, but somehow if I
- 12:01Speaker 3: get slipped by me, but she was very manipulative, It's
- 12:06Speaker 3: like she brought things up that made made me start thinking.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It was like, where's this coming from? And then she
- 12:12Speaker 3: tied certain things to that subject that made it have
- 12:16Speaker 3: some reinforcements. It was like, uh, where are you getting this?
- 12:21Speaker 3: And how do you know that? And where is this
- 12:23Speaker 3: coming from?
- 12:25Speaker 2: Type of stuff. So so okay, so let's back up.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So she tells you that first you know, she's got indometriosis.
- 12:33Speaker 1: It's it's gonna be really difficult to have a kid,
- 12:36Speaker 1: nearly impossible. And you say, okay, well, we'll figure that
- 12:39Speaker 1: out later, because that's not really like when i'm and
- 12:42Speaker 1: correct me if I'm wrong on this.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm just trying to get a sense of like the timeline,
- 12:45Speaker 2: and you're.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Saying, well, I got some other goals I want to
- 12:48Speaker 1: accomplish first.
- 12:49Speaker 2: We'll come and revisit that later. Let's see how this goes.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And then at some point after that, she sort of
- 12:55Speaker 1: springs it on you. Oh, by the way, I'm pregnant,
- 12:58Speaker 1: And now you're like, okay, well then it must be me.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I must be the father. So I'm gonna do the
- 13:04Speaker 2: right thing.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm going to marry her, and I'm going to take
- 13:07Speaker 1: care of my family, and that is that is that
- 13:10Speaker 1: about right?
- 13:11Speaker 3: That's pretty close, okay, and.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Around how old were you around when this was? You
- 13:15Speaker 2: were like twenty or something like that.
- 13:18Speaker 3: No, I was a senior in college. It was twenty nineteen.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It was before it was before COVID. It was twenty eighteen. Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 3: it was twenty eighteen and.
- 13:34Speaker 2: The end of twenty nineteen, at the end of twenty nineteen.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so yeah, because I commissioned in May of nineteen,
- 13:40Speaker 3: and then she had sprung it right right right at commissioning. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 3: about about I don't know, a month for commissioning or
- 13:49Speaker 3: something like that.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, But we had we had conversation about some
- 13:53Speaker 4: of the things that were going on and whether or
- 13:57Speaker 4: not to whether or not to break ties with her
- 14:02Speaker 4: because of some of the stuff.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That was going on.
- 14:06Speaker 4: But she listened in on conversations, she read texts, She
- 14:12Speaker 4: went through mail, Yep, she went through mail. So at
- 14:16Speaker 4: that point, after commissioning, I went to Fort Knox for
- 14:19Speaker 4: about two months and she moved up here with my parents.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Well they couldn't take it anymore, so she moved in with.
- 14:26Speaker 3: My grandmother in North Carolina. Well, in North Carolina, we
- 14:29Speaker 3: caught her in several lies. One was we got her
- 14:33Speaker 3: a job through a friend of ours at a nursing
- 14:36Speaker 3: home because she said something about she had worked in
- 14:38Speaker 3: a nursing home before and she wanted to be a nurse.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Well, we have a friend up the road that works
- 14:44Speaker 4: at a nursing home. Will gets you a job, and
- 14:46Speaker 4: got her a job. And she came back one day
- 14:51Speaker 4: and said, I wasn't on the schedule today.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I guess I'll go tomorrow.
- 14:55Speaker 4: And then me, being who I am, got aggravated because
- 14:59Speaker 4: somebody didn't do the schedule right and wasted her time.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I called our friend, I said, what's going on, and
- 15:06Speaker 4: she says, she didn't tell you.
- 15:07Speaker 3: I went no.
- 15:09Speaker 4: She got fired yesterday for threatening a dementia patient. And
- 15:13Speaker 4: we have a letter that's that states that she told
- 15:17Speaker 4: a dimension peytment, if you put your hands on me,
- 15:18Speaker 4: I'll beat your ass. And so she got fired from
- 15:23Speaker 4: that job. But she didn't tell us for like three days.
- 15:27Speaker 4: So she was going to town and wasting time doing
- 15:30Speaker 4: whatever and come home and say she's home from work.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And then I confronted her about it. And that's when
- 15:38Speaker 4: when we I was like, look, you, you can't do
- 15:41Speaker 4: stuff like that you know, if you've got a job
- 15:44Speaker 4: like this, Okay, so let's find another job and we'll
- 15:47Speaker 4: move on while you're here. And so you and Dalton
- 15:50Speaker 4: can progress. There's no sense sitting here not doing nothing.
- 15:54Speaker 4: And so she okay, okay, I'll do that. But then
- 16:01Speaker 4: she went to see Dalton down at Fort Knox. They
- 16:04Speaker 4: had a car wreck. But we didn't know she had
- 16:07Speaker 4: already she had already packed all her bags. Oh. I
- 16:09Speaker 4: think we didn't know that she'd packed her bags to
- 16:11Speaker 4: go to move out.
- 16:12Speaker 3: She was leaving. She wouldn't live with.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Us, Yeah, because I had I had rules and stuff
- 16:17Speaker 4: here that you're going to live by these rules while
- 16:20Speaker 4: you're living here, help out around the house, do things
- 16:24Speaker 4: like that. But she she was bound to term and
- 16:27Speaker 4: she wouldn't do nothing here. And uh and she told
- 16:30Speaker 4: many lies. She told lies on my daughter and those
- 16:34Speaker 4: were those were big, huge red flags to me and Christie.
- 16:38Speaker 4: And we're trying to be cordial because now it's our
- 16:41Speaker 4: daughter in law with with our grandchild she's carried. And
- 16:47Speaker 4: but then she went and seen Dalton and uh uh,
- 16:50Speaker 4: she moved into my mom. I tried to warn my
- 16:52Speaker 4: mom things going to happen, and you ain't gonna like
- 16:55Speaker 4: mom and Mom's about a month after in Mom she
- 17:00Speaker 4: you were right. And then she had to move out
- 17:02Speaker 4: of my mom's and then moved in with Dalton at
- 17:04Speaker 4: Fort Knox.
- 17:07Speaker 3: All right, Fort Lee, Fort Lee, Virginia. So I was
- 17:10Speaker 3: in the Knox for two months and then I went
- 17:12Speaker 3: to Fort Lee. I was down there, and then she
- 17:17Speaker 3: ended up staying with me at on Post while I
- 17:20Speaker 3: went through officer training school. Yeah. So the reason why
- 17:24Speaker 3: I think she's come stay with me is there was
- 17:27Speaker 3: an incident that happened at my grandmother's house where I
- 17:31Speaker 3: think we got into a verb altercation and she disagreed
- 17:35Speaker 3: with me, and I said, fine, we'll just split. And
- 17:39Speaker 3: she had a financial issue, in my opinion, like she
- 17:42Speaker 3: would take three or four trips to Walmart a day.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I just think she wasn't good at.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And she wasn't good with money.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Money. So at that point she was like, fine, I'm out,
- 17:54Speaker 3: and I said, all right, I took my credit card
- 17:56Speaker 3: and I cut in half. M free to go anytime
- 18:00Speaker 3: you want. And as soon as I cut the credit
- 18:02Speaker 3: card in half, she put hands on me and shoved
- 18:05Speaker 3: me over a chair and I leaned on my back
- 18:08Speaker 3: and I got up and she come at me again,
- 18:10Speaker 3: and I caught her wrists and I told her that
- 18:12Speaker 3: she was not going to do that and told her
- 18:15Speaker 3: to get out of the house and go cool down.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So that was so it sounds like, according to your testimony,
- 18:24Speaker 1: it sounds like she got violent and you restrained her.
- 18:31Speaker 2: You didn't hit her.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You probably knew that would have been awful, but you
- 18:37Speaker 1: basically said, let's take the temperature down. You're being a
- 18:41Speaker 1: little insane. Is this where the allegations come in.
- 18:46Speaker 3: No, My mom testified in court to that too. So
- 18:50Speaker 3: we had we had thirteen character witnesses and it didn't matter.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Now, Oh okay, so you it wasn't just you and
- 18:55Speaker 2: her there, or we.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Had thirteen character witnesses for Dalton that watched her put
- 19:01Speaker 4: hands on him. She she almost calls the wreck at
- 19:05Speaker 4: eighty miles an hour, Dalton going up the road pulling
- 19:07Speaker 4: a boat, and she attacked him while he was driving,
- 19:12Speaker 4: while he was driving with my daughter in the back seat,
- 19:14Speaker 4: and my daughter tried to videotape.
- 19:16Speaker 3: It at the end. So she punched me in the
- 19:20Speaker 3: side of the head while I was driving because I
- 19:25Speaker 3: was seeing her favorite song in a joking manner. It
- 19:31Speaker 3: was random. It was like, what are you thinking I'm
- 19:34Speaker 3: driving and like you got six foot six.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I mean it was a Taylor Swift because women get
- 19:42Speaker 1: crazy about Taylor Swift.
- 19:43Speaker 2: You can't make fun of Taylor Swift. It would have
- 19:46Speaker 2: been that.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I don't know, but after after the child was born.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Actually back up, she was a very aggressive pregnant, very
- 19:58Speaker 3: aggressive pregnant, had had a temper, tantrums, lash outs, screaming, yelling.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I think we had the hotel call room for a
- 20:07Speaker 3: noise to sturbmans. Once. It's just like I get I
- 20:11Speaker 3: get in the shower and locked the door, just to
- 20:12Speaker 3: get some peace and quiet, and she picked the lock,
- 20:15Speaker 3: come in and just open the curtain and I would
- 20:18Speaker 3: sit there and take a shower with no curtain because
- 20:20Speaker 3: she would sitting there and just chirp and chirp and chirping.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I was like, look, we're both mad, just go away,
- 20:26Speaker 3: leave me alone, calm down. She's like, nope, we're gonna
- 20:29Speaker 3: talk to this dorough this right now. And she just
- 20:32Speaker 3: wouldn't let it go until you said she was right,
- 20:36Speaker 3: could not let things go. So after after Virginia moved
- 20:42Speaker 3: to Kansas, got's a house in town because she wanted
- 20:46Speaker 3: to live closer to town. That way that we had
- 20:49Speaker 3: everything in case we needed because we had a newborn.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I like to live in the country, but there's some
- 20:56Speaker 3: amenities you don't have. So we lived in the like
- 20:58Speaker 3: the suburbs of Manhattan, Kansas, and it was like probably
- 21:03Speaker 3: five minutes away from like Walmart, Texas roadhouse sure, anything
- 21:08Speaker 3: like that. So I think after we got married, she
- 21:13Speaker 3: started changing in behavior, started picking up on things. She
- 21:18Speaker 3: wanted her name on bank account, she wanted her name
- 21:20Speaker 3: on the cars, she wanted her name on houses, she
- 21:23Speaker 3: wanted her name on on certain things, and I'm like no.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Soon as I started fighting back, that's when fighting back
- 21:31Speaker 3: saying like no, That's when things started getting kind of
- 21:36Speaker 3: a little warm. She started manipulating me more, being a narcissist,
- 21:41Speaker 3: telling me that I needed to stay home, and all
- 21:44Speaker 3: she did was would she was stay in the house
- 21:46Speaker 3: and no lights and wanted me to stay with her
- 21:49Speaker 3: when I was off work all the time. And I'm
- 21:51Speaker 3: like this is depressing. I can't do this, Like I
- 21:55Speaker 3: have to, I need to get out and some sunlight.
- 21:58Speaker 3: And we had two hunting dogs and and we're we're
- 22:01Speaker 3: in a state where I could actually give them some attention. Now, yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 3: it's a big hunting state for for pheasants and quail.
- 22:10Speaker 3: So I was like, I got to get out of here,
- 22:13Speaker 3: like I can't sit in this house all day. And
- 22:16Speaker 3: she would try to manipulate me galas come talk with
- 22:18Speaker 3: your family to do this. I'm like, I'm with you
- 22:20Speaker 3: guys all the time, Like there's time for you to
- 22:23Speaker 3: go do you and get your use in me time,
- 22:26Speaker 3: And like I got I can't stay in a damn house.
- 22:29Speaker 3: It's it's it gets depressing. So that's where she become
- 22:34Speaker 3: very manipulative and trying trying to keep me there, trying
- 22:38Speaker 3: to keep eyes on me. And then I started figuring
- 22:40Speaker 3: out that my accounts on my phone kept kept jumping,
- 22:45Speaker 3: meaning it would kick me out of Facebook, kept kick
- 22:50Speaker 3: me out of Snapchat, kick me out of all these apps.
- 22:52Speaker 3: And I'm thinking of what is going on with my phone?
- 22:56Speaker 3: And I would tell her and she I have no idea.
- 22:58Speaker 3: She should probably contact for ice and then find out. Well,
- 23:02Speaker 3: I didn't think anything of that, so and went on Kansas.
- 23:09Speaker 3: She knew that we were that my unit was planning
- 23:12Speaker 3: to go to Korea for a nine month rotation.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Yeah, when you were in Kansas, were you away from
- 23:19Speaker 1: your dad and your mom and stuff?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Were you or that?
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys are staying in North Carolina or in Wisconsin.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, Wisconsin, all right, all right?
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yeah, so we went down and helped to move in
- 23:33Speaker 4: m H. I think you guys were down there for
- 23:35Speaker 4: about a week or something like that. We came down,
- 23:39Speaker 4: I'm not sure, yeah, okay for Christmas.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so we were supposed to deploy on February. They
- 23:51Speaker 3: came down for Christmas and she started showing her ass
- 23:55Speaker 3: at Christmas. I think my dog got his foot caught
- 23:59Speaker 3: in the door. She come around screaming with the baby
- 24:02Speaker 3: in her arms. So that's that's another thing that when
- 24:04Speaker 3: she would get into a verbal altercation, she would pick
- 24:07Speaker 3: up the child and then she would get into your
- 24:08Speaker 3: face and scream so that you couldn't do nothing. You
- 24:12Speaker 3: couldn't get away, Like even though somebody wouldn't do something,
- 24:15Speaker 3: it just made you feel like, oh, my goodness, you
- 24:17Speaker 3: have a newborn in your hands, like why are you
- 24:19Speaker 3: coming at me? So it just made everything very uncomfortable,
- 24:23Speaker 3: even like for me like living there, Like whenever we
- 24:25Speaker 3: get an altercation, she would pick up the child and
- 24:27Speaker 3: then come and have an altercation with me like this close.
- 24:32Speaker 3: So it was just like go put the baby down
- 24:35Speaker 3: and then come and talk to me. Nope. And then
- 24:38Speaker 3: she would just keep on and then if I try
- 24:41Speaker 3: to leave, try to leave the room, it would be
- 24:44Speaker 3: like a constant follow And there was a verbal altercation
- 24:50Speaker 3: that was recorded, and it seemed like she was doing
- 24:52Speaker 3: this on purpose because she was she was trying to
- 24:54Speaker 3: get things on recording. She was trying to manipulate you
- 24:57Speaker 3: to say certain things and to find out Her mother
- 25:01Speaker 3: admitted to me that that was their plan when they
- 25:04Speaker 3: knew I was going to Korea. It was going to
- 25:07Speaker 3: try to manipulate me into trying to say something just
- 25:12Speaker 3: to get her away or off my back so that
- 25:14Speaker 3: they could use it against me. And that verb aaltercation.
- 25:19Speaker 3: You could hear me say get away from me, and
- 25:21Speaker 3: you could hear me leaving and going from room to room,
- 25:23Speaker 3: and it faintly getting lighter and lighter, and it that
- 25:30Speaker 3: was a constant.
- 25:31Speaker 4: It was on that on that you can hear him
- 25:34Speaker 4: ask her seven times, please just leave me alone, let
- 25:38Speaker 4: me take a shower, and then we'll talk.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Because because when you're deploying. His hours.
- 25:44Speaker 4: His time was from what five thirty in the morning,
- 25:48Speaker 4: and you.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Know it was not so first I D kept you
- 25:52Speaker 3: for like twenty four hours, Yeah, until you were ready
- 25:55Speaker 3: to boy if you until you were eighty percent deployable.
- 25:58Speaker 3: You guys didn't we didn't leave post. Yes, that's the
- 26:03Speaker 3: way the Army is. Fort Riley is a US and
- 26:05Speaker 3: abused post. I asked my my PSG, which is my
- 26:09Speaker 3: second in command, my enlisted guy that was an E
- 26:14Speaker 3: six it's position, but he was in E six. I
- 26:18Speaker 3: asked him, how much do you see your family a year?
- 26:20Speaker 3: He said about three months. I see my family three
- 26:23Speaker 3: months out of the year. And I said, Jesus, that's
- 26:26Speaker 3: a lot. Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 4: When the Army says family first, that's a lie. Because
- 26:32Speaker 4: you're in If you're in the first Mftry Division, the
- 26:35Speaker 4: eighty second Fort Campbell, the one hundred and first, UH fourth,
- 26:39Speaker 4: I D tenth, Mountain third, I D fourth, I D second,
- 26:42Speaker 4: I D. Those guys keep you at work at least
- 26:47Speaker 4: sixteen seventeen hours a day because you are the infantry.
- 26:51Speaker 3: You're the tip of the spear. I was in the
- 26:53Speaker 3: eighty second.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I was an INMFTY officer, and I can tell you
- 26:57Speaker 4: right now, my guys constantly complain. My lieutenants or other
- 27:01Speaker 4: lieutenants and stuff were like, no wonder the divorce rate
- 27:05Speaker 4: is so high in the army is because those units
- 27:08Speaker 4: don't let you go home.
- 27:10Speaker 3: So we had the highest suicide rate. The first i
- 27:14Speaker 3: D had the highest suicide rate. So First ID was
- 27:18Speaker 3: attached to Fort Hood during the time that Fort Hood
- 27:22Speaker 3: got light of all those deaths and whatnot was happening.
- 27:30Speaker 2: And the suicides are because what.
- 27:34Speaker 3: It's because of the rotation. So you do nine months somewhere. Okay,
- 27:39Speaker 3: so let's back up. So you'll do NTC National Training Center.
- 27:43Speaker 3: You'll go into NTC for like two months, and you'll
- 27:45Speaker 3: come back and then you go to the field. Those
- 27:48Speaker 3: into the field for thirty days, and then you come
- 27:50Speaker 3: back and go to j RTC which is in Louisiana.
- 27:52Speaker 3: It's a joint training center for another two three months,
- 27:55Speaker 3: and then you come back and they go to the
- 27:56Speaker 3: field again, and then when they come back, they do
- 27:59Speaker 3: the packing list and then you go on another nine
- 28:00Speaker 3: month rotation.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Or you're you're rotating into Afghanistan or Kuwait or somewhere
- 28:07Speaker 4: like that.
- 28:08Speaker 3: You go to theater yeah, which is getting prepped to war. Yeah.
- 28:11Speaker 3: So it's a constant moving So what happens is the
- 28:15Speaker 3: families that come here. If your wife or spouse or
- 28:19Speaker 3: whatever is not acclimated to this, it makes a nice
- 28:22Speaker 3: riff in your marriage or whatever. So what happens. And
- 28:27Speaker 3: I saw it many times I had to do. I
- 28:29Speaker 3: was the investigating officer for so many of these divorces
- 28:33Speaker 3: or adult trees or suicide stuff, and it was ridiculous
- 28:41Speaker 3: because like, you're just the Army's just pulling families apart
- 28:45Speaker 3: by sending a guy away and leaving that woman and
- 28:47Speaker 3: children alone by themselves forever.
- 28:49Speaker 4: And a lot of times the reason that they're doing
- 28:51Speaker 4: that is you've got a battalion commander who's got an
- 28:54Speaker 4: agenda to make brigade full bird. And he looks bad
- 29:00Speaker 4: if he's volunteering his unit to go do all these missions,
- 29:03Speaker 4: regardless of what it does to the men and women
- 29:06Speaker 4: that are serving under him. He doesn't care about that.
- 29:09Speaker 4: His whole career is based off whether or not he
- 29:12Speaker 4: makes that next rank. His oeer determines whether or not
- 29:17Speaker 4: he makes that next rank, whether or not he gets
- 29:20Speaker 4: to war college will that is determined off of the
- 29:25Speaker 4: person ahead of him think recommending him for that school.
- 29:29Speaker 4: And the whole time is he don't care about you.
- 29:32Speaker 4: He don't care about your family, he don't care about
- 29:34Speaker 4: your children. He cares about looking good for his boss
- 29:38Speaker 4: to go higher.
- 29:41Speaker 3: And we'll get aron that a little bit later. So
- 29:43Speaker 3: we'll back up back to Christmas. I wanted to add,
- 29:49Speaker 3: so at Christmas there was a verbal altercation that happened
- 29:54Speaker 3: with the family, and she got up and grabbed a baby.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I think my brother and I got into an alter
- 29:59Speaker 3: care about something, not an altercation.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Just an argument, something something silly that happened in the past.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I use altercation as like just a we're having a
- 30:13Speaker 3: talk through. You could say, yeah, my altercation. And she
- 30:18Speaker 3: grabbed the baby and like try to run into the room,
- 30:21Speaker 3: and she elbowed my mother in her port. So my
- 30:25Speaker 3: mother had cancer, she had breast cancer, and she had
- 30:29Speaker 3: told me afterwards. It got me alone because she didn't
- 30:32Speaker 3: want me knowing of that right then, and mayor that Anna.
- 30:36Speaker 3: She grabbed the baby and swung backwards and caught my
- 30:40Speaker 3: mother in her port. And when she's moving forward and
- 30:44Speaker 3: swinging backwards, that to me sounds like it's on purpose.
- 30:49Speaker 4: And She didn't tell us until laughter that she didn't
- 30:53Speaker 4: like my parents, so I could see where she would
- 30:56Speaker 4: do that.
- 30:57Speaker 3: And my mother didn't tell me because she knew that
- 31:00Speaker 3: I would do something about it. She I guess because
- 31:02Speaker 3: we called the spade of spade, what everybody called the
- 31:05Speaker 3: spade of spade. My aunt did it. She wanted me
- 31:08Speaker 3: to stay away from going over to my aunt's house.
- 31:10Speaker 3: My other aunt did it. My grandmother ended up doing it,
- 31:13Speaker 3: and she was telling me that everybody was bad. So yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 3: so I found out. I didn't find out. I pretty
- 31:24Speaker 3: much told myself, like during that time of going getting
- 31:27Speaker 3: ready for deployment, that I need to just try to
- 31:30Speaker 3: keep her happy because she's exhausting. She exhausted me so much,
- 31:37Speaker 3: and I told her, I love you, but I'm not
- 31:39Speaker 3: in love with you. And I think that's what sparked,
- 31:44Speaker 3: Like she just wanted to tear me down.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Because let's get to let's get to it.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Sounds like, yeah, I mean a lot of red flags,
- 31:53Speaker 1: a pattern of abusive behavior, very manipulative, almost like mcavellian
- 32:00Speaker 1: using the child too, and wants to break you away
- 32:04Speaker 1: from your parents like sort of like you know, and
- 32:06Speaker 1: also like seems to like demand that you basically be
- 32:10Speaker 1: there for her at all times at any point, so like,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you know, stay with me, you know you don't like whatever,
- 32:17Speaker 1: even if we're just in the dark quietly. So let's
- 32:21Speaker 1: get to the part that brings you on our show,
- 32:24Speaker 1: like what happened there and what is it and what
- 32:27Speaker 1: were the consequences of that?
- 32:30Speaker 3: So I kind of had a timeline when I got
- 32:34Speaker 3: to Korea. I think two weeks into CREA, she told
- 32:36Speaker 3: me she was leaving unless I I, uh, pretty much
- 32:42Speaker 3: submitted to her demands, and then I told her, yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 3: go kick rocks because when she sent me my laptop,
- 32:50Speaker 3: I found out that she was cheating on me. She
- 32:52Speaker 3: had not she had not backed out of her email,
- 32:55Speaker 3: and I saw every single email between her and another guy.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Was this you had left yet I was in Korea,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I was, so you were in Korea? Oh okay, Well
- 33:05Speaker 1: this is yeah, Unfortunately, this is very very common. I know,
- 33:09Speaker 1: like every person I brought on here just about they
- 33:12Speaker 1: have a story that involves a woman that is cheating
- 33:17Speaker 1: with either cheating while the men are away.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Basically, yeah, it's the easiest route for them.
- 33:23Speaker 4: So yeah, her MO was to try to get some
- 33:26Speaker 4: blackmail on you, to try to find something on you
- 33:29Speaker 4: and then use it against you. And the recordings he's
- 33:33Speaker 4: talking about is the tool that she got to use
- 33:38Speaker 4: in court so that Dalton couldn't do nothing to her,
- 33:42Speaker 4: he couldn't touch her. And then he found out that
- 33:46Speaker 4: she had been talking to this guy in Mississippi since
- 33:49Speaker 4: December before they you know, when they first got down
- 33:53Speaker 4: to before I deployed. Yeah, she had been talking about
- 33:56Speaker 4: for four months prior to my deployment. Yeah, so she
- 34:02Speaker 4: would so I had time to talk to my child,
- 34:04Speaker 4: but she would use that as a pond. She would
- 34:06Speaker 4: use my child as a pond to get me online
- 34:08Speaker 4: to try to manipulate me into talking about certain things
- 34:12Speaker 4: that she could use for custody court or running up
- 34:16Speaker 4: my my I guess my child, child support and my
- 34:21Speaker 4: commanders were very weak, very very weak. I I kind
- 34:27Speaker 4: of resonated in them for help. What should I do, sir?
- 34:31Speaker 4: What can I do? This woman's spewing negative stuff about me?
- 34:36Speaker 3: I found out through my own soldiers in my platoon.
- 34:40Speaker 3: He pulled me aside one of my n c o's
- 34:42Speaker 3: a heyeser, this is a She got on the wives
- 34:46Speaker 3: page and asked how she could get money out of you?
- 34:49Speaker 3: And they told.
- 34:51Speaker 2: What's the what's the wives page?
- 34:53Speaker 3: Briefly, so apparently there was a fort Riley wise page,
- 34:58Speaker 3: so like any anything like for like like.
- 35:01Speaker 2: A Facebook page kind of a thing.
- 35:04Speaker 3: It was a Facebook page for new wives, current wives
- 35:07Speaker 3: and past existing wives to talk about what happened at
- 35:11Speaker 3: Riley to get ready for deployment things if they needed it,
- 35:15Speaker 3: like for the p X or any like help for children,
- 35:19Speaker 3: things like that. And I saw it. She blatantly asked
- 35:23Speaker 3: what can I do to get money out of him
- 35:28Speaker 3: and get away from him.
- 35:31Speaker 4: And told his wives that she that he was beating her.
- 35:34Speaker 3: And the wives said no.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Of course.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Afterwards, one of the wives said, if he had ever
- 35:40Speaker 3: hit you or beat you, you can say that and
- 35:43Speaker 3: army will protect you. And then she at below and said, yeah,
- 35:46Speaker 3: he beat me. One of the one of the wives
- 35:50Speaker 3: on fort Riley gave her the idea and she ran.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Another another wife from the wives page made gave her
- 35:58Speaker 1: this idea and then she ran with it.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Yep. She called my command and said that I did X,
- 36:04Speaker 3: Y and Z, and I said, Sir, ask her for proof,
- 36:07Speaker 3: ask her if she have any evidence towards what she's
- 36:10Speaker 3: saying I did the place.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Are never called to their house at any time, any
- 36:14Speaker 4: place anywhere.
- 36:16Speaker 2: So yeah, she didn't go to the cops first. That
- 36:18Speaker 2: should be it.
- 36:19Speaker 1: That should be the first sign that there, you know,
- 36:23Speaker 1: is smell some something is amiss. But that but okay,
- 36:28Speaker 1: so the no no police reports.
- 36:29Speaker 2: What happened next?
- 36:31Speaker 3: So here here's what I told my brigade commander at
- 36:33Speaker 3: the end of the day. I told him, Sir, I
- 36:36Speaker 3: initiated the divorce. She didn't initiate divorce. We've been going
- 36:39Speaker 3: through this for so long. She she didn't try to
- 36:42Speaker 3: initiate a divorce. She didn't call the cops. She has
- 36:45Speaker 3: she has no hospital stays, no medical reports, there's nothing.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It was just her saying this happened. But I said,
- 36:53Speaker 3: I have pictures, I have text I have emails, I
- 36:56Speaker 3: have witnesses. What I was told at the end of
- 36:59Speaker 3: the day by a lawyer jag TDS was that we
- 37:04Speaker 3: as soldiers cannot try to hinder the civilian's reputation, which
- 37:13Speaker 3: means we cannot say anything that would be bad towards
- 37:16Speaker 3: that civilian's reputation, meaning that when we go to court,
- 37:20Speaker 3: they can go after me all day long, but they
- 37:22Speaker 3: cannot touch a civilian, means they cannot say that she
- 37:25Speaker 3: did X, Y and Z. That gives her character negative light.
- 37:30Speaker 3: So it means the service member is a sitting duck
- 37:32Speaker 3: no matter what it is, when they walk into that courtroom.
- 37:35Speaker 4: And that's that's the thing that come back from the
- 37:37Speaker 4: from the tailhook and Obama wanting more sexual assault and
- 37:41Speaker 4: assault prosecutions is these were some of the rules and
- 37:46Speaker 4: regulations that they set in place where a soldier cannot
- 37:49Speaker 4: defend himself. A soldier can't go back and say, hey,
- 37:54Speaker 4: look at the evidence and what's going on. We had
- 37:57Speaker 4: we had the guy that she moved in with Mississippi
- 38:02Speaker 4: was a key witness in his custody battle. He testify
- 38:08Speaker 4: the court she made a false nine one one call
- 38:11Speaker 4: that he was beating me. She didn't know that he
- 38:14Speaker 4: was filming her. She went outside, She ran around the
- 38:17Speaker 4: house twice, jumped in her car, didn't lock it, and
- 38:20Speaker 4: didn't leave. When the police got there there arrested him.
- 38:24Speaker 4: He told them to look at the video tape. She
- 38:26Speaker 4: didn't know there was a video tape.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Pause yep. So he's living out a little bit of
- 38:31Speaker 3: So I talked to the man specifically, he said that
- 38:36Speaker 3: same thing I told you. When she didn't get her way,
- 38:38Speaker 3: she would keep it the kit up, get in his
- 38:40Speaker 3: face whatever she called the police ran around the house,
- 38:43Speaker 3: was punching herself in the face, and he was recording
- 38:47Speaker 3: it as she's running around. So he's a sheriff's deputy
- 38:52Speaker 3: of that county. She wanted to go be a sheriff
- 38:55Speaker 3: because she wanted to learn the ins and outs of
- 38:58Speaker 3: the law. And she admitted this to me that so
- 39:00Speaker 3: that she could then have the knowledge so when we
- 39:04Speaker 3: go to civilian court or custody court, she could win
- 39:08Speaker 3: that custody court and knowing the laws of being a cop.
- 39:11Speaker 3: So she started dating a cop and using that cop well.
- 39:15Speaker 3: When the other policeman showed up, they didn't arrest him.
- 39:18Speaker 3: They went straight and questioned him, and she ran up
- 39:21Speaker 3: and said, hey, I called you for abuse. Why are
- 39:25Speaker 3: you not talking to me? Why are you talking to him?
- 39:26Speaker 3: And they said, ma'am, please walk away. Go stand over there.
- 39:31Speaker 3: They talked to him, he showed them the video and
- 39:35Speaker 3: they left. They didn't arrest her for false allegations or
- 39:40Speaker 3: any of that, because that would put him in jail
- 39:42Speaker 3: for a very long time if he didn't have that
- 39:44Speaker 3: if he didn't have the video. But that's what bothers
- 39:48Speaker 3: me is that, let's say my ex wife or any
- 39:51Speaker 3: other woman out here makes a false allegation, nothing happens.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I feel like they should get the same treatment as
- 39:57Speaker 3: what they're trying to set you up for.
- 40:00Speaker 4: That that guy was not allowed by the judge that
- 40:04Speaker 4: was superseding the court hearings.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Him and the policemen were not allowed to be subpoened.
- 40:09Speaker 3: So what it was was he called me and said
- 40:14Speaker 3: that she had stole money from him, and he kicked
- 40:18Speaker 3: her out, and she called Child Predictive Services on him,
- 40:21Speaker 3: saying that he was a bad father and was doing
- 40:26Speaker 3: drugs and was trying to get Conrad custody. You know
- 40:33Speaker 3: about that police officer that she she left me for.
- 40:38Speaker 3: So I called him and said, hey man, what's going on,
- 40:40Speaker 3: where's my child? Like, when's the last time you've seen her?
- 40:43Speaker 3: Because I don't I didn't know when she was going
- 40:45Speaker 3: to pick up, when she was going to leave. Actually,
- 40:48Speaker 3: that brings me to another point. When she left fort Riley,
- 40:52Speaker 3: fort Riley put out in order that anybody that was
- 40:55Speaker 3: associated with the Army of fort Riley was not allowed
- 40:58Speaker 3: to leave because of COVID, and she disobeyed that all
- 41:03Speaker 3: those orders, I think the civilian said, do not leave,
- 41:05Speaker 3: do not travel, and she left to Mississippi.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Now, she went to North Carolina and dropped off the grandchild,
- 41:12Speaker 4: dropped off his daughter, and then traveled back to Mississippi
- 41:17Speaker 4: and left that daughter for over forty days. And then
- 41:23Speaker 4: didn't Josh say that he had to force her to
- 41:26Speaker 4: go get that baby.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Yeah, he had to convince her to go go back,
- 41:32Speaker 3: go get my child from the grandparents, her grandparents, so
- 41:36Speaker 3: her parents anyway, So she kept going back and forth,
- 41:38Speaker 3: and I pleaded with the judge, going, look, I don't
- 41:42Speaker 3: believe that this woman should have my child if she
- 41:44Speaker 3: can't take care of herself. If she's hopping around seeing
- 41:46Speaker 3: all these dudes going in and out of the house,
- 41:49Speaker 3: dating all these guys, going all these parties, and she
- 41:52Speaker 3: would get on these Well the reason we know all
- 41:54Speaker 3: this is because she would get on TikTok Live to
- 41:57Speaker 3: trying to be an influencer, and she would go live
- 42:02Speaker 3: at all these parties. She'd be drinking and I'd be
- 42:05Speaker 3: and I'd just be watching and recording, and I would
- 42:08Speaker 3: give it.
- 42:09Speaker 1: She's so she's a a pregnant. Was she were you
- 42:15Speaker 1: guys divorced at this point or like a mother, I'm sorry,
- 42:19Speaker 1: a mother yep? On social media trying to be as
- 42:22Speaker 1: an influencer yep. And she's like how old, like in
- 42:27Speaker 1: her twenties.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Yeah, she was early twenties at the time.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and the baby was left with with her mom
- 42:32Speaker 4: while she's out of these uh wherever they're filming these
- 42:36Speaker 4: things at and you could see them drinking. She she
- 42:39Speaker 4: drank online. All kinds of.
- 42:42Speaker 3: It bothered me is because I'm overseas, I'm doing my job,
- 42:46Speaker 3: I'm protecting the country, doing whatever, and I can't be
- 42:52Speaker 3: a father because of what I'm doing for my country. Right,
- 42:58Speaker 3: She's not being a mother. She's planning that child off
- 43:01Speaker 3: to her mom to be to take care and teach.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And it really bothered me.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, it's truck would be with.
- 43:11Speaker 3: My child, Like what are you doing? And she had
- 43:15Speaker 3: she had told me during all this, if you're not
- 43:19Speaker 3: going to take care of me, I'll find a man
- 43:21Speaker 3: that wheel, and that's what she was doing. She was
- 43:23Speaker 3: out trying to find another suitor to take care of her.
- 43:29Speaker 3: And I went to my commander and I said, sir,
- 43:35Speaker 3: I'm doing all that I can, and they were trying
- 43:37Speaker 3: to force me to pay for her new apartment and everything.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I said, sir, I'm not doing that. We have a lease,
- 43:43Speaker 3: because we still had that lease, and I was paying
- 43:46Speaker 3: on a house at home that nobody lived in, so
- 43:49Speaker 3: I was paying on a lease. And it says the
- 43:52Speaker 3: TDS lady told me afterwards, if it was above a
- 43:54Speaker 3: certain amount of money, you don't have to pay for
- 43:57Speaker 3: anything else, because that was the the max for b
- 44:01Speaker 3: a s vah for that person. My commander said, I
- 44:06Speaker 3: don't care what the JAG said. He wrote a member
- 44:09Speaker 3: and of her record and made me sign it, and
- 44:11Speaker 3: if I didn't, he said, I could be arrested for
- 44:13Speaker 3: not giving funds to my family. That JAG officer told
- 44:19Speaker 3: me that he was wrong, that it was a buff
- 44:21Speaker 3: sert amount of funds. I didn't have to well, I
- 44:24Speaker 3: had already signed it, and he said and I said,
- 44:26Speaker 3: all right, make them, make the army give me that
- 44:28Speaker 3: money back, and he and they said we can't make them.
- 44:30Speaker 3: And the commander said, kick rocks. So I had to
- 44:35Speaker 3: give her double and I ended up going into al
- 44:40Speaker 3: much a financial hole because she kept asking it more
- 44:44Speaker 3: and more and more, and my commanders kept riding off
- 44:47Speaker 3: on it. They kept saying okay, okay, okay, and then
- 44:50Speaker 3: he told me, happy wife, happy life. So at this point,
- 44:53Speaker 3: there is no happy wife, happy life. I said, she's
- 44:58Speaker 3: already just grundled. She she already knows that the Army's
- 45:01Speaker 3: going to make me do whatever that you say I
- 45:03Speaker 3: have to do, and not saying that that was right
- 45:07Speaker 3: at all. Yeah. So at the end of the day,
- 45:12Speaker 3: they told me that I was going to go to
- 45:14Speaker 3: court martial, and.
- 45:18Speaker 1: They so these allegations, they just they just took them
- 45:21Speaker 1: as you're going to court martial over the allegations or
- 45:25Speaker 1: over this financial stuff, over over allegations.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Okay, over the allegations. All right, that's what I thought.
- 45:30Speaker 1: So there was no police report, and you're I know
- 45:34Speaker 1: that they do internal investigations in the military, but they
- 45:38Speaker 1: just didn't even do that.
- 45:39Speaker 2: They just said, Okay, we're just gonna.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Take it as writ because of these policies or this
- 45:43Speaker 1: sort of like changing policies put in by the Obama administration,
- 45:47Speaker 1: because they get their numbers from this really like bogus
- 45:51Speaker 1: study that was done on college campuses by Mary Costs,
- 45:55Speaker 1: and they're basically saying, well, if this happens on college campuses,
- 45:57Speaker 1: it's got to be true for the military as well.
- 45:59Speaker 2: So we're just going to run with that, right.
- 46:01Speaker 3: So there was an investigation. So as soon as she
- 46:04Speaker 3: posted on Facebook saying, oh you beat me, they put
- 46:07Speaker 3: me under flag. A flag is halting all product productivity
- 46:13Speaker 3: of me promoting or leading. And I'm an officer. So
- 46:18Speaker 3: I went and sat in the three shot for three years.
- 46:21Speaker 3: So they did an investigation for three years on me,
- 46:26Speaker 3: and I sat stagnant. All my other peers went and
- 46:31Speaker 3: become captains and went back to school, and I'm still
- 46:33Speaker 3: a second lieutenant. It takes four years to become a captain.
- 46:37Speaker 3: So I sat there as a second lieutenant. And what
- 46:41Speaker 3: I started figuring out was that that lieutenant colonel that
- 46:44Speaker 3: had put me under flag didn't have to put me
- 46:46Speaker 3: under flag, and he was influencing all the other captains
- 46:50Speaker 3: that were in charge of me to try to get
- 46:53Speaker 3: more stuff on me. So like negative counselings, this obeying orders,
- 46:58Speaker 3: they were trying their best. And I'll give you example.
- 47:01Speaker 3: We have lieutenants come in and run colonel's pt which
- 47:06Speaker 3: means that a lieutenant has to build a physical training
- 47:14Speaker 3: plan for everybody and execute it well. That lieutenant I
- 47:21Speaker 3: helped write the PT plan for him, and he decides
- 47:26Speaker 3: not to show up that morning, not called, don't give
- 47:28Speaker 3: a heads up, like he's in charge of colonel's PT.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Like it's a big deal. Yeah, And I call him
- 47:34Speaker 3: and I call him and I call him and I'm
- 47:35Speaker 3: like like five calls in and I'm like, hey, dude,
- 47:37Speaker 3: where are you? Why are you not answering? I had
- 47:40Speaker 3: a panic attack. I'm not coming And I said that's
- 47:44Speaker 3: not an excuse, and he said I'm not coming and
- 47:47Speaker 3: hung up. And I told the colonel, the one that
- 47:50Speaker 3: didn't like me, Hey, sir, he's not coming. He had
- 47:53Speaker 3: a panic attack. Apparently. I guess I'll run it.
- 47:58Speaker 2: The commander.
- 48:03Speaker 3: That was in charge of him was the S three,
- 48:06Speaker 3: which is right underneath the lieutenant. Colonel was supposed to
- 48:13Speaker 3: discipline him. Only thing that happened was are you okay?
- 48:17Speaker 3: I heard it. I was in the room. Are you okay?
- 48:20Speaker 3: All right? Nothing happened to him, And that's a big deal.
- 48:26Speaker 3: No negative counseling you, no smack on the wrist. It
- 48:28Speaker 3: was just like are you okay? And letting go. It
- 48:32Speaker 3: was like a week later, I lived about forty five
- 48:35Speaker 3: minutes from post. I let them know, Hey, I'm going
- 48:38Speaker 3: to be a minute late. There's some traffic back here.
- 48:41Speaker 3: They're just going to give you guys a heads up.
- 48:44Speaker 3: I get there and I run up in formation, and
- 48:48Speaker 3: I think I was probably forty five seconds to a
- 48:50Speaker 3: minute late off first formation. That commander tried to give
- 48:55Speaker 3: me a negative counseling and write me up for being
- 48:58Speaker 3: a minute late. And I was just like, what, I
- 49:01Speaker 3: don't understand this. Do you let all your NCO's misformation
- 49:06Speaker 3: or be ten minutes late or this This lieutenant miss
- 49:12Speaker 3: a pet that he was scheduled to run, and you're
- 49:15Speaker 3: gonna try to give me a negative counseling for being
- 49:17Speaker 3: a minute late. And I let you know. She's like, okay, fine,
- 49:19Speaker 3: I'll write you up for a wall, I said. I said,
- 49:23Speaker 3: hold on, I said, okay, you're searching now. I think
- 49:27Speaker 3: you're fishing for something to write me up for. I said,
- 49:30Speaker 3: because the fact that you just said that you're writing
- 49:33Speaker 3: for a wall, I said, you even know what a
- 49:34Speaker 3: wall means? And she gave me some dumb definition of
- 49:38Speaker 3: what a wall was. I said, false. So the definition
- 49:41Speaker 3: of a wall is a fact that you disappear without
- 49:43Speaker 3: any communication at all and just ghost that's a wall.
- 49:47Speaker 3: They give you, what is it, forty eight hours? They
- 49:50Speaker 3: give you forty eight hours, and if you do not
- 49:52Speaker 3: say anything or come back, that's a wall. She spewed
- 49:57Speaker 3: that mess, and then I said, all right, we're done here.
- 50:02Speaker 3: So that's why I knew that that commander was telling
- 50:05Speaker 3: her to write me up for certain things. The reason
- 50:09Speaker 3: I say that is because when we went to court martial,
- 50:12Speaker 3: they try to use her write ups as extra stuff
- 50:17Speaker 3: to tack on to that general court martial.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Orders, Oh, they were trying to make it not just
- 50:23Speaker 1: these allegations, but add as much to it as possible
- 50:26Speaker 1: to add to add credibility to the court martial.
- 50:30Speaker 4: Right, how many I think they started out with how
- 50:33Speaker 4: many allegations? Thirty five? Yeah, thirty five allegations turned out
- 50:38Speaker 4: to be thirteen turned out to be four. But the
- 50:41Speaker 4: army does that. The court systems do this to people
- 50:43Speaker 4: in the outside world. I do it on the inside world.
- 50:46Speaker 4: Is if you're accused of one thing, they do everything
- 50:48Speaker 4: in their book to try to tack on a lot
- 50:51Speaker 4: more stuff, so it sounds like you're the worst person
- 50:53Speaker 4: in the whole world in front of a judge.
- 50:55Speaker 3: And then the lawyer even told me that they're going
- 50:58Speaker 3: to make you look like the worst person and in
- 51:00Speaker 3: the world. He said, don't get discouraged. It is just
- 51:05Speaker 3: the procedure.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's Yeah, basically, it becomes a kind of
- 51:09Speaker 1: like game where the lawyers the prosecutors are like trying
- 51:14Speaker 1: to win the game, so they're trying to get as
- 51:16Speaker 1: much as they can out of it.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Well, another thing that bothered me the most was that
- 51:21Speaker 3: my colonel had my wife on speed dial. My wife
- 51:26Speaker 3: ex wife got on the phone and said, I have
- 51:28Speaker 3: your colonel on speed dial. You just go ahead and
- 51:30Speaker 3: say something wrong and I'll just call him and get
- 51:32Speaker 3: you fed up. And I was like, what now. I
- 51:36Speaker 3: was home at that time, Okay. I walked into his office,
- 51:39Speaker 3: knock on the door and said, so, do you have
- 51:40Speaker 3: my my wife on speed dial? He said, I have
- 51:43Speaker 3: her on contact.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:45Speaker 3: I said, you guys talk right, He's like once a week.
- 51:49Speaker 3: I was like, what in the world are you thinking?
- 51:53Speaker 3: Why are you talking to my ex wife once a week?
- 51:57Speaker 3: I said, that is that's not supposed to happen. Yeah,
- 52:01Speaker 3: And I had to recording because of the city of
- 52:04Speaker 3: kandas you can record, apparently one one party. But I
- 52:08Speaker 3: don't think you could really do it for the army
- 52:10Speaker 3: or not. But I've told I think that's the reason
- 52:13Speaker 3: that all these ogations got dropped. He was influencing all
- 52:16Speaker 3: the commanders. And I found this out that if if
- 52:21Speaker 3: the lower commander did not agree with the higher commander,
- 52:24Speaker 3: that commander's job was at risk because the army. Because
- 52:30Speaker 3: the company commander that got in charge of me kind
- 52:32Speaker 3: of had something along the same lines happened to him.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Not not that crazy, but he literally said at the beginning,
- 52:40Speaker 3: he he was like anybody else. They didn't believe me whatever.
- 52:44Speaker 3: But after like a month him him dealing with my
- 52:46Speaker 3: ex wife always calling up there, he said, dude, I
- 52:49Speaker 3: get it. I understand what you're saying. Now she's she
- 52:53Speaker 3: is nuts. He said, I would love to help you,
- 52:56Speaker 3: but this colonel is asking me to bury you, get
- 53:00Speaker 3: stuff on you and talk to his wife and gather information.
- 53:04Speaker 3: And I had that recorded. He didn't know that, and
- 53:08Speaker 3: I apologized him later, but when he got it on
- 53:10Speaker 3: the stand, he said the complete opposite, and I knew
- 53:13Speaker 3: that colonel was making him say that. They dropped all
- 53:17Speaker 3: charges against me from the colonel and the captain, because
- 53:21Speaker 3: that captain could keep his story straight on the stand
- 53:25Speaker 3: and they had that recording, so they dropped everything. And
- 53:30Speaker 3: to me, and even on stand in the courtroom, they
- 53:34Speaker 3: caught her in many lies. And to me, I'm sitting
- 53:37Speaker 3: there going this that's a miss trial. Yeah, that's a
- 53:39Speaker 3: miss trial. You know.
- 53:40Speaker 4: They my wife, My wife was testifying, and my wife
- 53:43Speaker 4: got up here and told what she had witnessed and seen,
- 53:46Speaker 4: and they stopped the proceedings, made the courtroom, made the
- 53:51Speaker 4: jury clear, the clear of the courtroom, and had a
- 53:54Speaker 4: discussion with the prosecutor and the judge. And yeah, there
- 54:01Speaker 4: was a lot of stuff going on in that courtroom.
- 54:04Speaker 4: And we didn't know about Arvist until after the fact.
- 54:07Speaker 4: This is long, afore short. We've been here for about
- 54:08Speaker 4: an hour and I know you need to wrap up.
- 54:10Speaker 4: We didn't know about arbust till after the fact. But
- 54:13Speaker 4: if we had a note about arvest and what was
- 54:15Speaker 4: going on in these these hearings, we could have used
- 54:19Speaker 4: that at our advance to our advantage. Sure, But we
- 54:24Speaker 4: found out later that six of the jury members had
- 54:28Speaker 4: been on her juries multiple times and that's illegal.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Wow.
- 54:34Speaker 3: We want to wrap it up, so I'm going to
- 54:36Speaker 3: like speed through this trial. So leading up to the trial,
- 54:42Speaker 3: my my attorney quit. So I had a younger attorney,
- 54:49Speaker 3: first year attorney, and it just seemed like he was
- 54:52Speaker 3: already checked out, like he already knew what was going
- 54:53Speaker 3: to happen. He said about something about them playing golf
- 54:57Speaker 3: with the prosecution, and all this was throwing me from
- 55:00Speaker 3: If I was getting mad, I was because I'm a
- 55:02Speaker 3: cribal justice major. I was going to go to law school,
- 55:05Speaker 3: and I was pretty much tell him, this is not
- 55:07Speaker 3: a fair and speeded child. What are we talking about?
- 55:09Speaker 3: Why can they do this? And I can't say anything.
- 55:13Speaker 3: I have all this evidence. I have her admitting that
- 55:16Speaker 3: I didn't do anything on one of these lives. I
- 55:20Speaker 3: have her on these tiktoks guys saying hey, where's he at.
- 55:26Speaker 3: I'll go get him for your heart, honey, Like I'll
- 55:28Speaker 3: go take care of him. At midnight at my house
- 55:32Speaker 3: in Kansas, there was a black charger that parked out
- 55:35Speaker 3: front of my house two nights in a row. This
- 55:38Speaker 3: time I actually slipped out the back door, slipped around
- 55:41Speaker 3: onto the curb, and knocked on the door. Soon as
- 55:43Speaker 3: I hit the glass car took off and there was
- 55:48Speaker 3: like fifteen dudes in the comments was saying, hey, where
- 55:51Speaker 3: is he at. I'll go take care of him, honey,
- 55:54Speaker 3: don't worry about it. And I gave this to my
- 55:57Speaker 3: lawyers and they're just like and I'm like, I'm scared
- 56:00Speaker 3: for my life, Like this woman is having people try
- 56:04Speaker 3: to come take me out. And it made me. I
- 56:08Speaker 3: turn off all the lights the house, like I was
- 56:13Speaker 3: ready for it because the army didn't care. And there's
- 56:17Speaker 3: like fifteen police reports out there from Kansas of me
- 56:20Speaker 3: calling and going, hey, there's something out front sitting in
- 56:22Speaker 3: my in my driveway with the lights on that hey,
- 56:26Speaker 3: somebody to try to break in my house. I had
- 56:28Speaker 3: to break in and the army just kind of blew
- 56:30Speaker 3: it off.
- 56:31Speaker 4: M hm.
- 56:32Speaker 3: So leading up to the court case, I had all
- 56:35Speaker 3: this evidence and I told him that They're like, they
- 56:37Speaker 3: asked me to take a plea deal of thirty five years,
- 56:41Speaker 3: and I said, no, I have all this evidence. Good
- 56:43Speaker 3: try kick rocks. And then they come back with, oh, okay,
- 56:49Speaker 3: please do have two months. I said, you want. Plea
- 56:53Speaker 3: deal was for me to plead to domestic violence.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Oh so basically to plead guilty and then you get
- 56:59Speaker 1: like reduced sentence, but you didn't do anything wrong.
- 57:02Speaker 2: You're like, no, I'm not doing that.
- 57:03Speaker 3: And I have trusted the court system. I trusted the
- 57:08Speaker 3: commanders at one point because I was very patriarch When
- 57:11Speaker 3: I came in the army, I was very patriotic. I had,
- 57:13Speaker 3: I had clean record, I had flying colors, Eagle Scout,
- 57:17Speaker 3: two time state champ like decorated and wrestling and honor students.
- 57:22Speaker 3: It was an honor student. And I came into the
- 57:24Speaker 3: army thinking I'm just going to keep adding to and
- 57:29Speaker 3: doing the right thing and taking care of my soldiers. Well,
- 57:32Speaker 3: I saw a whole different world being a pogue, which
- 57:34Speaker 3: is logistics. The cop the combat arms guys told told
- 57:39Speaker 3: diferent mentality was kind of mentality I had. But they
- 57:42Speaker 3: told me, you can't bring that mentality into pogue world.
- 57:44Speaker 3: I said, why not? Just logistical world.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Logistical world, and logistical units are totally different than infantry.
- 57:51Speaker 3: Maneuver units. Maneuver units are your.
- 57:54Speaker 4: Your guys that are straightforward, hard nosed, charged, good charge guys.
- 58:01Speaker 4: Okay that all the officers, most officers and stuff are
- 58:05Speaker 4: like that. But you get out, you branch out into
- 58:08Speaker 4: the service support service units and the service support units,
- 58:12Speaker 4: and you find that there's guys out there that that
- 58:16Speaker 4: aren't aren't the best, that aren't up and up.
- 58:18Speaker 3: Uh, they kind of just want to go hide and
- 58:21Speaker 3: whatever as long as it gets done type of guys.
- 58:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's that's that's beside the point.
- 58:26Speaker 3: This, this, this whole case.
- 58:29Speaker 4: The evidence that he had against her and against the
- 58:32Speaker 4: stuff that she was doing, they would.
- 58:34Speaker 3: Not allow in that courtroom because it spoke negatively to
- 58:37Speaker 3: her character. Yeah, it spoke Nevita her character.
- 58:40Speaker 4: And we had we had eyewitnesses that they wouldn't subpoena.
- 58:44Speaker 4: Now that family showed up on their own. They they
- 58:47Speaker 4: paid for them to show because they volunteered to come.
- 58:49Speaker 3: But the so they were saying, a character witness was
- 58:54Speaker 3: different than an actual evidential witness. So the people that
- 58:58Speaker 3: we had, they said, hey, we'll that would speak negative
- 59:02Speaker 3: to her in the character. The prosecution told the judge
- 59:06Speaker 3: we don't want them, and they were not allowed. That's
- 59:08Speaker 3: what I was told. But a character witness was allowed.
- 59:12Speaker 3: So what I learned in that courtroom is if you
- 59:16Speaker 3: have there's the proceedings, and then once they have found
- 59:20Speaker 3: their verdict, then your character. Witnesses are allowed to then
- 59:24Speaker 3: step forward and talk about your character. That would help
- 59:27Speaker 3: your senates be lower or higher. Yeah.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Yeah, So the courtroom is stacked against the soldier. Not
- 59:34Speaker 4: necessarily just him, but the courtrooms have been stacked against
- 59:37Speaker 4: the soldiers twenty thirteen when all this started. There's so
- 59:41Speaker 4: many people that are sitting in jail right now that
- 59:45Speaker 4: are innocent men and women because of the procedures in
- 59:50Speaker 4: the courtroom.
- 59:52Speaker 3: So the day before I went in there, that prosecution
- 59:56Speaker 3: met my tdslawry also the door, and they took all
- 59:59Speaker 3: my evidence away from me, and I said what was
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: going on? He said, you're not allowed to have any
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: of this evidence into procedures proceedings. I said, excuse me,
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: who says this? He said, the prosecution said so. I said,
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: the prosecution does not get that say so. He said, yes,
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: they do. Prosecution pretty much runs the courtroom and what
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: they want when they don't want he said that if
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: it if it has something to do with objecting to something,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: that they say, you can use something, but it has
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: to be pre planned. I have to pre accept it
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: before we go into the courtroom. And the whole time
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: I'm like scream bloody murder. This is dumb. I cannot
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: believe this. Like I just said, pretty much, you're pretty
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: much locking my wrist up before we even walk in
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: the room, like I'm a sitting duck. So and what
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: I found out afterwards was she was going along with
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: this because she's getting paid to go along with this.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: She got on the victim Witness list. If you get
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: on the victim Witness list, you get fifteen hundred dollars
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: a month per victim, three thousand for three years, which
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: means she got My daughter got it, which was was
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: an infant, got the victim witness list. She got the
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: victim witness list, and then her mom at the victim witness.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: List, so she was collecting forty five.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: I was totally did now. Her mom didn't get nothing.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: She got whatever she got.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: She got like some money out of it too, So
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: it was like she benefits. She gets to look like
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: the victim, which is good for her. She gets paid,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: and she gets your child.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Your daughter.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Yep. She takes me out of pictures.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: What she says, yeah, she gets to go to the
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: picture and get paid for it.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, go ahead.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: The biggest thing that I had a red flag with
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: being inside the courtroom was the jury that they had there.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: There was multiple jury members that it was a conflict
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: of interest. They had our battalion medical guy on there,
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: which worked hand in hand with my colonel trying to
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: get in okay, the two biggest colonel's highest rank that
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: were on the jury were my colonel's wife's best friends.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: They admitted to this, coming to the house, going to
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: parties at their house, things like that. And I think
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: it was like seven of the jury members knew the
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: prosecution and worked hand in hand prior to that, which
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: told me the majority of all the jury was a
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: conflict of interest, and they let them fly, And I
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: thought that would go I thought that would go against
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: at the end when they did appeals, like look all
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: the jury members they knew, they knew the prosecute, everybody
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: on the prosecution, and then that judge would not let
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: any of my any of my witnesses on stand. So
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: like the guy that she left me for, he said,
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: I'll testify, dude, that I'll be there and just went
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: went blank for the last week that wouldn't return calls
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: like nothing. So I found out that I was a
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: sitting duck. So I'm glad that I had the judge
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: that I did have. I they switched out judges like
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: a week prior to court and then told me a
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: week prior. I'm like, what's going on that? My lawyer
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: told me that the original judge was was a hard
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: nosed individual, like he was so hard on Aroneld Henderson.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: He put people in jail for the max not the minimums.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: So he was sitting in the back of the courtroom
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: and he spoke out of turn. We were we were
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: going through proceedings, and he yelled guilty, guilty, And I
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: turned around like who is that? And he's sitting in
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: the back of the courtroom. Is he is the head
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: judge at fort Riley I had, I had a National
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Guard judge. Yeah, And he screams guilty during during this
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: now at the end and I'm like, how is it? Like, Okay,
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: we're not gonna hold him contempt for saying anything?
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Right? Was there even a warning?
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: So what is where are we at right now? What
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: ended up happening as a result of that? And how
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: are you dealing with it?
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: So they found me guilty for four different things. So
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: and then they told me. I had a year and
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: a half in Lovenworth and I have never seen an
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: inside of the jail sale. I've never been. I have
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: no speedy tickets, nothing. I'm like, I have a clean record.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: And also I'm being put in prison for something they
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: can't accuse me of or they couldn't couldn't.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Find any So the outside courts would her her case
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: at all. The outside courts would not do anything. Man,
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: this what the evidence you bring us is not evidence
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: that there is.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: There is not enough to take it to criminal court. Yep.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: They told her that this is this is nothing. But
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: the army said, oh, we'll take it.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: So I spent a year in there, or a year
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: and a half in there, and I figured out why, Okay,
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: it's not about if you did right or wrong. I
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: found it. It was about numbers and money. It was five
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: thousand dollars a week per per inmate that the federal
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: paid the state. The state was getting all that money
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: for fulfilling sales. And I found out that the prosecution
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: has a quote of to meet has to put away
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: a certain amount of individuals per post and if you
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: get officers it's it's a bonus. So I found that out.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: And and some of the guys I talked to, I
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: read their files, I read their their their paperwork. It
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: was like I had a buddy of mine get put
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: in there for a hickey. He gave he gave a
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: girl a hickey, and that and the command the prosecution
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: had that girl testify against him because of adultery. And
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: he he was he he had been away, he'd been Hawaii.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: The family lived in New York. She had a whole
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: new boyfriend, and she testified for him, said, we've not
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: been together for four years. I have my own I
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: have a boyfriend. Now, I have my own going on.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: He has his own going on, Like there's nothing wrong here.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: And and the prosecution said, well, there's no divorce decree,
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: so it's adultery. So we're gonna make you spend a
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: year in living work. Yeah, And I said, he did
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: a year in liven Worth for having a relationship when
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: they've already been separated. Yeah. So a lot of this
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: stuff is blown out of proportion, But this stuff is
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: stuck with these guys the rest of their lives. Yeah.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Now this this this year and three months that
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: he spent in prison for US for a mother and
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: father that that raised their kids. Uh, you know, great
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: grandfather served, grandfather served, My dad retired from the military,
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: my sister retired from military. To see the disgusting part
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: of the military, and I know that you've got listeners
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: right now that know exactly what I'm talking about. The
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: disgusting part of the military is when you're being railroaded
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: as a service member. You volunteer to protect this country
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: and you get railroaded, and our our Congress is not
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: doing nothing about this when it was brought to light
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: through this dak iPad or iPad that committee, which every
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: one it was, I forget now and if hadn't been
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: for harvest bringing this to light that there's actually an
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: investigation going on about this criminal stuff is going on.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: It is just disheartening to wave that flag. It is
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: disheartening to know that our own government is doing this
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: to our men and women and did it to him
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: and not necessarily just him, because when I found out
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: that this had happened multiple times, I was I was.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: I come and spoke on his behalf to the dak
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: iPad committee at the Pennant or not the Pentagon. We
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: were in Arlington in a room with Arbus and uh yeah,
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: just to see those people and the investigations they were
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: doing with nothing more than they were. They were waving
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: their hand that stuff. It wasn't there really that digging
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: into whether innocent people had gotten convicted. It was what's
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: wrong with our procedure? How does our procedure do wrong?
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Let's get some data over a couple of two or
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: three years while these people sit in jail that were innocent.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: To answer your question about how this has affected me,
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: it is very much messed with my head and my
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: mental I don't trust the world we live in. I
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: don't trust our government. I don't trust the police officers
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: that live in my county. Like I just I feel
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: like I'm looking over my shoulder all the time. And
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: it has affected my everyday life. My ex wife still
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: stalks me to this day. She affects me getting jobs,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: she affects me moving on. She's affected me coaching like
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: I have a big background, a big fat resume and
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: wrestling and have a lot to give and I try
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: to give it back to the community. And someone made
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: an allegation the other day that I try to kill
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: my ex wife and children, and it was just like,
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: when is this going to end? When is it going
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: to stop me alone? Like, And the reason I wanted
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: to do this interview is I wanted to get my
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: story out there. But also I'm hoping the story reaches others,
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: and I'm hoping that it reaches possibly some political political
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: individuals that could possibly help me get this.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: That's what we're trying to do.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I know that Arvis has he does
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: have some access or some connections to people in the
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: current administration and the military and such, and they are
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: looking into it. But I think that we need to
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: make more noise. So that's why I'm doing these interviews
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: whenever I.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: You know, And I hope this interview reaches I hope
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: it reaches Trump. I hope he sees it. So and
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: if he does see it, yeah.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I hope that's really I mean, that'd be nice, but
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that's really optimistic, but I'd like that that'd be nice.
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: Something else is this this individual, this female has done
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: this to another soldier, had more bragg same thing, got pregnant,
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: had a baby. Now he can't see his top his child.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: So a little more behind it. So she did almost
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: the same thing, but not not quite. There's their own
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: circumstances here. But he kind of, he said, I figured
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: out he opted out to see his child because of her.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: What she will do is she'll manipulate the situation to
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: get you to talk and do what she wants you
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: to do, and then add things in there and try
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: to get get you caught up. I think their command
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: did a better job at it because that command gave
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: her like a cease and desist order, take no contact,
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: leave him alone, and try to try to protect him.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Where that where his command, like you said, logistical command,
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: just serve me up on a platter. Yeah, he was,
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: he's he's infantry and reconnaissance. But I'm not gonna vouch
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: his name. But she's she's doing that and saying the
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: same things, calling us all deep dead beats and and
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: things like that.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's also the narrative, speaking of which, I
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: guess my last question before we wrap up, and thank
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: you so much for sharing your story.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Really appreciate it.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: You know, it's not easy to talk to a total
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: stranger about something very pers and all.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: How how does your daughter doing?
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: I honestly don't know. We're not none of us are
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: allowed to see it. So after everything happened, every time
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: I try to reach out, I would get a restraining order.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: I think I got probably eight restraining.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Orders, and me and his mom have gotten restraining orders
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: for just sending birthday cards and stuff.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: So it's it's ridiculous, but it's exhausting, and it's got
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: to the point where she, I think, almost ran me
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: up for three thousand dollars a month for a two
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: month old and would just give false stuff for the
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: courts and then like daycare, make me pay a thousand
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: dollars for daycare a month, but she had and then
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: and then pulled her out of daycare and I had
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: to keep paying it because it was a court order.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Stuff like that. I got all that next because I
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: signed some stuff over to her. And yeah, every time
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: I try to reach out, I get a restraining order.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: In South Carolina, you can put as many restraining orders
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: as you want.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: Then the restraining orders didn't go through, she would just
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: do a restraining order force us to show up, but
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: then she wouldn't show up, so it cost us money
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: to fly down there. I flew down there twice, the Fayetteville,
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: North Carolina, where she took out two restrainers on me,
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: and I didn't do nothing. I didn't even reach out
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: to her nothing. But I had to show up and
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: I got an attorney down there, and this attorney says,
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: she she's a quack job. I don't know what in
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: the world, but she wouldn't show up for neither one
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: of the court dates. And the judge finally threw it out.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: And she admit, and I wish I would recorded this,
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: and I think my recorder didn't work that day. She
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: admitted to me that she knew the judge and she
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: was friends with that person because she was her bailiff
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: at one point. And I said, that's a that's a
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: conflict of interest. And as soon as my stuff went
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: through and she got what she wanted from that judge,
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: that judge would hired. Yeah. It was like, oh, how convenient.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: But none of none of the restraining orders went through.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: We didn't that none of them. No, my mother's did
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: go through.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: That oh well, because we sent a birthday card to
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: her mom, and so happened that her mom she was
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: living with her mom. We didn't know that. We just
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: knew that her mom hadn't moved, so we sent it
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: to her hoping it would reach wherever Anna was.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: She had told me that we could send mail to
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: that address for Emory and then and then spun it
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: and then did a restraining order on it.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, so then we got then my wife got for stalking.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: So in the end we I have just I've stopped.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: I don't want to stop. I make a post for
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: her birthday every year. But it's just it's it's it's
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: it's rough to say if no one's ever been in
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: the situation. But I'm gonna wait till she reaches out
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: to me instead of me trying to re out, and
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: I just I can just keep getting hit with restraining
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: orders and mass right, it's just like I said, I
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: just want to be left alone. I just want to
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: move on and I won't.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: And hopefully your ex wife isn't telling lies about you,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: but she probably is. Real alienation is a real problem. Yeah,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: So like she might grow up hating you and because
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: she was told to you know, so I mean it's possible,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: but maybe she'll want to, you know, if she gets
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: abused herself, she might be interested in finding you and
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: maybe she'll put it together. Well, I guess I just
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: hope that it works out like that. You know it's
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: a little early to tell right now. Yeah, that's right,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: just keep on moving. Well, thank you so much for
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: telling us your story, Dalton, I did get one superchild.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: These are like paid messages from the audience members. So
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: ZARINX gave us five dollars superchild. Thank you, ZARYNX, and
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: he says, imagine being a male US citizen. You're forced
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to register for selective service when you become eighteen, Otherwise
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you're barred from any government work and services. In addition
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: to that, you're liable to being imprisoned and or a
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty thousand dollars or two hundred and
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: sixty dollars one thousand dollars fine. You then enlist into
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: our armed forces and swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. Then,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: upon being falsely accused, you're guilty until proven innocent or
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: just guilty, and you must ambind f injustice and unarmed
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: forces visits upon you or compounds with your being falsely accused.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Then you either get back, get the black mark of
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a dishonorable discharge, or you survive and endure years of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: good faith.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Thank you for your service. Statements knowing that you dealt
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: what you dealt with.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I honestly wonder how veterans that go through this reconcile
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: all that. Just thinking about it and imagining it, it
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: pisses me off. It's a fucking joke. I wish you
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: the best, Alted, So thank you Zaranks for that. I'm
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: sorry you want to say something.
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: To that, Yeah, well, I appreciate it very much. Yeah,
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: I do think the black mark of disarmor discharges is ridiculous,
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: how many how many they actually hand out.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: Knowing knowing if you're if you're in the military and
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: you're below major rank and you haven't had to deal
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: with this, you will never know this happens until you
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: hit lieutenant colonel, until you see what happens.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: Well, not even just that. Like when I was enlisted,
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: I was cool. I enjoyed the army. I did it.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: I was told, I moved on on the commands, did everything. Yes,
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: But as soon as I got in a leadership role
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: and saw the political and I sat in the general's
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: meetings and saw what they were doing to talk to
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: soldiers and I and I spoke up, and I watched
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: my lieutenant colonel lie to generals and nothing happened, and
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: I told in general. Here, I run the long range
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: shorting calendar, I run all this stuff. You want to
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: see the real truth, I'll show it to you. I
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: showed that general everything nothing Happen't you lied to a
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: general and nothing happened. No, so much corruption, it's not
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: even funny.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think they're.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: Another another time.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Well we can we can, Uh, we can talk another
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: time for sure. I want to thank you guys again
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: for coming on the show and telling your story, and
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: thank you for your service such as it whatever where
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: that's worth. You know, I know I appreciate it. I'm
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I'm still patriotic and optimistic, but I understand that there's
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: definitely like entropy that we've allowed to sort of creep
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: into all of our institutions that we need to clean up.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: So that's kind of my approaches.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Hey, let's talk about it and then try to get
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: it cleaned up if we can so, because we have to.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: We have to live here, and there's nowhere else. This
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: is it?
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: This is the United States? Is it?
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: That's like there's no there's nothing freer than this place,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: even with all the problems. So let's try to fix
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: the problems. But but yeah, I want to thank you
