- 0:02Speaker 1: This is Teddy Tea Pod with Hey guys, welcome back
- 0:13Speaker 1: to this week's Teddy Tea Pod. I am on with
- 0:17Speaker 1: my best deed Matt. I'm so happy he is going
- 0:20Speaker 1: to co host with me today because I am officially
- 0:24Speaker 1: a hot mess express like new Poor Matt has been
- 0:30Speaker 1: getting text for me since like four in the morning.
- 0:33Speaker 1: How do you feeling this morning, Matt? Thankfully? This is
- 0:37Speaker 1: just audio, I mean, okay, So just to give you
- 0:43Speaker 1: guys a little backstory if you don't know, I opened
- 0:47Speaker 1: up my Instagram yesterday and just said, I'm going to
- 0:50Speaker 1: do this week's Teddy Tea Pod and I'm going to
- 0:52Speaker 1: answer your questions, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Submit them all. Let's do this. I'm going to answer everything.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And I was so excited to do it, not necessarily
- 1:03Speaker 1: realizing what ally was going to come out. Because the
- 1:06Speaker 1: show actually aired, You guys are gonna be listening to
- 1:09Speaker 1: this on Monday, but we recorded it on Thursday. So
- 1:13Speaker 1: um we are day after Real Housewives aired, and I
- 1:17Speaker 1: woke up at one o'clock last night in the morning,
- 1:21Speaker 1: looked at my Instagram and I probably had I don't know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: over a hundred comments like wishing me dead, wishing harm
- 1:29Speaker 1: on my kids, Like it's just unreal, which is why,
- 1:33Speaker 1: you know, I had the choice of not saying anything,
- 1:38Speaker 1: um because people are always going, oh, you know, don't
- 1:41Speaker 1: let the haters get to you, don't don't let the
- 1:44Speaker 1: trolls get to you. That feeds the trolls. But I
- 1:46Speaker 1: was like, that's not who I am. I'm not gonna
- 1:49Speaker 1: do that. I'm gonna actually say that this is not right.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I people don't have to like me, people don't have
- 1:54Speaker 1: to agree with me, but I am on a TV
- 1:56Speaker 1: show that is revolved around drama, and people that don't
- 2:01Speaker 1: understand that is it's a little crazy to me. And
- 2:03Speaker 1: I don't mind if people want to comment on my
- 2:06Speaker 1: behavior or any of those types of things. But Death's
- 2:09Speaker 1: taking it a little far. Yeah, when you text me
- 2:13Speaker 1: that's it's crazy. Like As an avid housewife fan, as
- 2:16Speaker 1: you know, since before you even wear a housewife, I
- 2:20Speaker 1: know you and you are able to take criticism. I
- 2:23Speaker 1: criticize you all the time, well, everyone does. To the
- 2:29Speaker 1: level that some of these people take it is just
- 2:32Speaker 1: out of control. And I don't know necessarily what you
- 2:36Speaker 1: can do to get a handle handle on it, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but to someone to to write to you on your
- 2:42Speaker 1: social media and tell you that, like your kids getting
- 2:45Speaker 1: hurt is karma is just the most disgusting, vile thing
- 2:51Speaker 1: and something has to be done about it. Like people, Yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I mean I think you know, I know, I watched
- 2:59Speaker 1: TV for an entertainment value, and it's normal to have
- 3:02Speaker 1: your favorite, whether it's a scripted show or not scripted show.
- 3:05Speaker 1: You have your favorites, you have your ones. You can't
- 3:07Speaker 1: stand whatever it is. And I get that, and that's
- 3:11Speaker 1: the point of an escape and watching a show. But
- 3:14Speaker 1: wanting to harm people or wanting people to harm themselves
- 3:18Speaker 1: is really a place where you're just like what's going
- 3:21Speaker 1: on in this world? Where you know, I appreciate when
- 3:25Speaker 1: I have a good TV show to bene watch right now,
- 3:27Speaker 1: because then I'm like, oh great, let's I'm loving this.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I have this escape right now. I'm not then going
- 3:35Speaker 1: on their instagrams, like I'm not going after the Real
- 3:39Speaker 1: Housewives of Potomacs, the ones that I'm like, not liking
- 3:43Speaker 1: what they're doing right now, telling them I hope that
- 3:45Speaker 1: they die. I mean, it's just crazy. It's honestly, it's insane,
- 3:50Speaker 1: But that you know, you can't let it bother you.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's just words from faithless dog profile people, and let
- 3:59Speaker 1: it rull off. I know, I know. Well, speaking of
- 4:03Speaker 1: where where do we start with the questions? Well, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 1: why don't we save the housewife chatter for a little
- 4:10Speaker 1: later and get into like some family questions because you know,
- 4:15Speaker 1: your three children each have gone through something and people
- 4:18Speaker 1: are very interested to know how they're all doing. Okay,
- 4:22Speaker 1: so you know, fill us in. We got a lot
- 4:24Speaker 1: of questions about your kids. Okay. So, um Slate and
- 4:28Speaker 1: her finger are one hundred percent healed. She is doing great,
- 4:34Speaker 1: Like right now, she's like we can probably hear her
- 4:37Speaker 1: yelling in the background. She's like throwing a football. She's
- 4:40Speaker 1: you know, recovered and um dove mobility, full mobility. She
- 4:47Speaker 1: can write with her right hand. Again. Everything is as
- 4:51Speaker 1: good it looks. You know, if you didn't you know,
- 4:55Speaker 1: if you didn't know about it, you wouldn't notice. Um
- 4:58Speaker 1: it looks slightly different, but they said, with time, it'll
- 5:00Speaker 1: just continue to start to match her other fingers. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: you know, more importantly, she's not in any pain from it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: She has no nerve damage or anything like that, so
- 5:10Speaker 1: that's huge, um Dove surgery went so amazing. I was
- 5:16Speaker 1: so worried and so concerned like how hard it was
- 5:19Speaker 1: going to be on her, And really what it told
- 5:22Speaker 1: me was how resilient kids are. I mean even in
- 5:26Speaker 1: the hospital. I mean, she hasn't stitches all across her head.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It's like a zigzag hand headband over her her head.
- 5:35Speaker 1: She's smiling, laughing. One day her eyes were completely swollen shut.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The next day she woke up smiling and the swelling
- 5:42Speaker 1: had gone down. We thought we were going to be
- 5:44Speaker 1: in the hospital for seven days. We were out after four. Um,
- 5:48Speaker 1: she is you know, she still takes Thailand a couple
- 5:51Speaker 1: of times a day, but that's it. Um she started
- 5:53Speaker 1: sleeping through the night again. And now we're just in
- 5:56Speaker 1: that next phase. So she's had one follow up a
- 5:59Speaker 1: point men, and then she'll have one more UM and
- 6:02Speaker 1: at that appointment, then we'll start having to go in
- 6:05Speaker 1: where she's probably gonna need to wear the doc band,
- 6:07Speaker 1: which is like the helmet that will work on the reshaping.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But I mean she is such a rock star, so happy,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you know it really remember like reminds you, like how
- 6:19Speaker 1: kids are way stronger than their parents, because like she's
- 6:23Speaker 1: you wouldn't wouldn't even know anything was going on. Um.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And then when I was in the hospital with Dove,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Cruise fell off his bike. Um, no one mentions anything
- 6:34Speaker 1: to me about any such things. And then when I
- 6:37Speaker 1: get home from the hospital, Cruise walks in to give
- 6:40Speaker 1: me a hug and he's like, hey, Mom, and I
- 6:43Speaker 1: immediately look at his thumb and I'm like, what's up
- 6:45Speaker 1: with your thumb? And he's like, oh, I fell off
- 6:47Speaker 1: my bike, but it's okay. And I was like, uh, like,
- 6:50Speaker 1: can you move it? And he's like no. I'm like
- 6:53Speaker 1: I don't think it's okay. Then, and I took him
- 6:58Speaker 1: to an orthoptis and you know, the guy was amazing.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Cracked me up, like did an X ray on Cruise
- 7:05Speaker 1: and it's like, hey, Cruise, have you ever had any
- 7:07Speaker 1: broken bones? And he's like nope. And the order the
- 7:11Speaker 1: petis goes, well you do now, and so yes, he's casted,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but he is excited that it's a waterproof cast. And
- 7:19Speaker 1: you know, I said, why didn't you mention to me
- 7:22Speaker 1: when we are on the phone yesterday that you heard
- 7:25Speaker 1: your thumb And he goes, Mom, I knew there was
- 7:27Speaker 1: going to be an elevator, and you know, I don't
- 7:29Speaker 1: like going to elevators to go to the doctor, so
- 7:31Speaker 1: I just figured i'd tell everyone I was fine. Nobody
- 7:35Speaker 1: likes elevators right now, Cruiz. So that's the update on
- 7:40Speaker 1: the kiddos. But they're all good, playing happy, so I'm
- 7:44Speaker 1: grateful to that good. And well, speaking of having all
- 7:48Speaker 1: of the children, um, people are asking, how are you
- 7:51Speaker 1: dealing now you have another child? You have four kids,
- 7:55Speaker 1: often with Bella coming to be with you. Guys, how
- 7:58Speaker 1: are you working and managing a larger family? I mean, well,
- 8:03Speaker 1: first off, I would say most of the time we
- 8:07Speaker 1: are home now, so that that can make things easier
- 8:11Speaker 1: and also more challenging. Um. You know, I think the
- 8:13Speaker 1: first part is with having a bunch of kids that
- 8:18Speaker 1: you know, have different things they want to do in
- 8:19Speaker 1: different schedules. You know, normally you're going to a million
- 8:23Speaker 1: different after school things, or you're going to you know,
- 8:25Speaker 1: gymnastics about that's not happening now. You know, we're pretty
- 8:29Speaker 1: much home, so that's that's made it easier, um, and
- 8:33Speaker 1: but also it's made it a little trickier. You know, Dove,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I haven't been able to do any of the things
- 8:39Speaker 1: that I loved doing with the other kids, like the
- 8:41Speaker 1: mom and me classes and all those type of things.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So you know, there's there's good parts and bad parts
- 8:47Speaker 1: about this, but the biggest thing is like our kids
- 8:49Speaker 1: are really connected to each other's best friends. And I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: also not going to say that I don't have help.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I think, you know, nothing I can't stand more than
- 8:58Speaker 1: when a mom's like, you know, I just do it all.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm like, I have a million dollars in a day.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I never sleep. No, Like, we have somebody, her name's
- 9:06Speaker 1: Maria that lives with us. She didn't live with us
- 9:09Speaker 1: before the pandemic, but then once that happened, I was like,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, I want to move in and she did
- 9:17Speaker 1: and she you know, she really helps out a lot
- 9:20Speaker 1: with with baby Dove and with cooking and stuff like that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So I'm very lucky to have help this time around.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Um And yeah, so that that's really how I managed
- 9:31Speaker 1: to be perfectly honest, staying in the same lane a
- 9:34Speaker 1: little bit. People are also wondering, Uh, you know, they
- 9:38Speaker 1: have kids, and they're saying in their marriages, how do
- 9:41Speaker 1: they find time to you know, have spouse time, fun time?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Are you how do you how do you find time
- 9:50Speaker 1: for you? And Ed went to sneak away and laugh.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Oftentimes it happens during the day time, like when they
- 10:00Speaker 1: are like Dove maybe napping, the kids are doing something
- 10:02Speaker 1: on their own, so we're more daytimers. Plus you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: cruises our roommate, so it makes things more challenging. Um,
- 10:09Speaker 1: he is still sleeping in your room every night, in
- 10:12Speaker 1: our room, not our bed, but in our room. He
- 10:14Speaker 1: has his own little bed in there, And so when
- 10:17Speaker 1: will you transition that out? When do you think the
- 10:20Speaker 1: time is for that? It's unclear because the other day
- 10:23Speaker 1: I was just joking. He was like being a chatter
- 10:25Speaker 1: box before we went to bed, and I said, Cruise,
- 10:27Speaker 1: keep this up. You're not gonna be our roommate anymore.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And then he like fully he didn't get the joke.
- 10:33Speaker 1: He didn't think I was like, he was sobbing so
- 10:37Speaker 1: many hugs, Like Mom, you told me I was a
- 10:39Speaker 1: good roommate. What if I getting footed out? So I
- 10:43Speaker 1: don't know. I'm sure there's gonna be a point in
- 10:45Speaker 1: time where he doesn't want to be our roommate anymore.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But we'll have to say, did you deal with any
- 11:00Speaker 1: postpartum with Dove? Not any postpartum like depression, Um, I have.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I always struggle with anxiety, um, and so that definitely
- 11:10Speaker 1: is there and is prevalent um still uh, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and and it's only been exacerbated by so many things
- 11:19Speaker 1: that you know, you don't have answers for, you know,
- 11:21Speaker 1: like we you know, for a while we're trying to
- 11:22Speaker 1: figure out school is going to happen, or when filming
- 11:25Speaker 1: is going to start back or what you know, whatever
- 11:28Speaker 1: may be all the things that you can't control or
- 11:31Speaker 1: dove surgery. Do you want control of it? So yes, um,
- 11:35Speaker 1: And for me it's just huge. You know that I'm
- 11:37Speaker 1: able to go on a run or a walk or
- 11:40Speaker 1: journal or do those things, and you know, but some
- 11:43Speaker 1: days it doesn't go away. Um. So advice for someone
- 11:47Speaker 1: who is, you know, suffering from a bit of postpartum,
- 11:51Speaker 1: do you have any specific tips or tools you would
- 11:54Speaker 1: I would say definitely talk to your doctor. I know,
- 11:57Speaker 1: even every time I go into the pediatrician office, they
- 12:00Speaker 1: have me fill out a form now that says like
- 12:02Speaker 1: how I'm currently feeling. And there's so many resources out there,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know, I'm grateful that people are so much more
- 12:09Speaker 1: open about it now. I think for a long time,
- 12:11Speaker 1: people didn't discuss it, but I had, you know, definitely
- 12:14Speaker 1: had postpartum depression after Slate and I hit it and
- 12:19Speaker 1: I tried to hide it from everybody, and it was
- 12:23Speaker 1: the worst thing I could have done, because it made
- 12:24Speaker 1: me feel worse. And the only way that my husband
- 12:27Speaker 1: even figured it out was because I had my computer
- 12:30Speaker 1: open and it was one of the last things on
- 12:32Speaker 1: my web browser and he's like, why do you why
- 12:35Speaker 1: are you googling postpartum depression? And I remember having this
- 12:39Speaker 1: weird like I was ashamed to admit it because I
- 12:42Speaker 1: felt like I should, you know, be the happiest I
- 12:44Speaker 1: had ever been. And so, you know, the biggest things
- 12:47Speaker 1: to talk to people, you know, talk to a professional. Um.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Some things, yeah, you can cure by being active and
- 12:53Speaker 1: taking care of yourself, but there's some things that you can't,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and you may need medication or you may need, you know,
- 12:59Speaker 1: to speak to therapist. But the biggest thing is reach
- 13:02Speaker 1: out as for help. You're not alone, be open and
- 13:05Speaker 1: talk about it. It's always very good advice. I think
- 13:10Speaker 1: that the one other big question you've got a lot
- 13:13Speaker 1: was about the snow had to google. But people really
- 13:18Speaker 1: want to know if worked. Okay, so the SNeW did work.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It complete game changer. Um. The positive amazing parts of
- 13:27Speaker 1: the Snow is for newborns. Normally you are having to
- 13:31Speaker 1: soothe them to bed every single time they wake up
- 13:35Speaker 1: in the middle of the night. So in the middle
- 13:37Speaker 1: of the night, you feed and then you have to
- 13:40Speaker 1: soothe them back, and then you're trying to like place
- 13:42Speaker 1: them into the bassinet or the carib or wherever you're
- 13:45Speaker 1: having them sleep, and then they get jostled awake because
- 13:48Speaker 1: they have like reflex with the snow that doesn't happen.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You feed burke and then you put them into this
- 13:55Speaker 1: like tight little like um swaddle that x into the snow,
- 14:01Speaker 1: and then it simulates the mother's womb and it soothes
- 14:05Speaker 1: them back to bed. And then if they're crying for
- 14:08Speaker 1: a second, it knows like how fast it needs to
- 14:11Speaker 1: move to soothe the baby. But if it's something else
- 14:16Speaker 1: like the baby went poop, it'll turn off and notify
- 14:19Speaker 1: your phone, so like it means like yeah, like hey,
- 14:24Speaker 1: time to get up and take care of business. This
- 14:27Speaker 1: is something we can't handle here. So it really is
- 14:30Speaker 1: great for those night times because you know you're able
- 14:34Speaker 1: to actually get some sleep. Um, so it's a huge
- 14:37Speaker 1: game changer for me. I did transition Duve out right
- 14:40Speaker 1: at three months because I didn't want you know, it
- 14:43Speaker 1: is a pain to take around. So like if you
- 14:45Speaker 1: when there's a time when you're gonna go on trips
- 14:48Speaker 1: or whatever and you don't have this, you know you're
- 14:50Speaker 1: going to be in for a rough couple of nights.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Because I tried to do that when we went to
- 14:53Speaker 1: our beach house and I was like, oh, this is
- 14:55Speaker 1: a doozy. So that's the only you know, hard part,
- 14:58Speaker 1: But it's definitely worth it for first three months. So
- 15:01Speaker 1: three months in the snow and then transferred to a crib. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I think you can keep them in there for up
- 15:07Speaker 1: to six months, but I just didn't want to be
- 15:09Speaker 1: so dependent on it in case we are ever allowed
- 15:12Speaker 1: to travel again and whatnot. But um, yeah, and so
- 15:17Speaker 1: Ladies said the poopil arts to only your husband. Oh yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I'm so sure. I don't want to hop right up
- 15:23Speaker 1: for that one. I mean, that's great if we gotta
- 15:28Speaker 1: all filled in on the kiddos cruises birthdays coming up.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I know he's a little leo. You only know that
- 15:33Speaker 1: because it's your birthday. Don't try to act like your
- 15:35Speaker 1: friend of the year right here. All right, Well, I
- 15:38Speaker 1: do love me some Cruise. I love his attitude. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: love it. Uh but he's a funny kid. But anyhow,
- 15:42Speaker 1: so happy birthday to Cruise coming up. Um, So let's
- 15:46Speaker 1: transition a bit. You got very fit quickly after you
- 15:52Speaker 1: had Dove, um, and that was a conscious choice, like
- 15:56Speaker 1: you knew well you had a fit pregnancy and then
- 15:59Speaker 1: you immediately bounce right back. What was your what is
- 16:04Speaker 1: your main tip to somebody who has just had a
- 16:07Speaker 1: baby that is struggling to get back into fitness. Well,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I think the biggest thing is one knowing every journey
- 16:16Speaker 1: is completely different. So comparison is going to kill any
- 16:19Speaker 1: joy that you have. So if you're you're looking at
- 16:21Speaker 1: me and you're going, oh my gosh, this it fell
- 16:24Speaker 1: right off of her, But you know, whatever, it may
- 16:26Speaker 1: be one that was not the case with slaying Cruise whatsoever.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That's why all in came to you know, fruition was
- 16:34Speaker 1: because I was struggling so much after Cruise on, you know,
- 16:38Speaker 1: finding myself and finding what made me feel good and
- 16:41Speaker 1: take care of myself. So I I hear you. I
- 16:43Speaker 1: think a lot also depends on how you are during
- 16:46Speaker 1: your pregnancy. So if you, you know, weren't active at
- 16:50Speaker 1: all during your pregnancy, I wouldn't suggest jumping right back
- 16:54Speaker 1: into it and expecting your body to be able to
- 16:57Speaker 1: do things that it hasn't done in a very long
- 17:00Speaker 1: long time. So the biggest thing is take care of
- 17:02Speaker 1: your body. You know, listen to your body, make sure
- 17:06Speaker 1: you're drinking water, cutting out things that are unnecessarily like
- 17:09Speaker 1: processed foods, UM, and starting slow, you know, those first
- 17:14Speaker 1: first couple of weeks, I would just you know, go
- 17:16Speaker 1: on walks and um, the first couple of weeks after
- 17:19Speaker 1: I was approved from the doctor that I could start
- 17:22Speaker 1: exercising again, go on walks, go and hikes, things that
- 17:25Speaker 1: were better for my mental health. And then also just
- 17:29Speaker 1: eating as clean as you can. Well, since you're saying
- 17:32Speaker 1: that people want to know, so take us through a
- 17:34Speaker 1: day of of your like generally, I mean we you know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: things change, things come up, but generally on a day
- 17:40Speaker 1: that you're at home and you're eating, what are your
- 17:44Speaker 1: main meals, like, take us through the day of your
- 17:46Speaker 1: of what you eat. Okay, So normally I wake up
- 17:49Speaker 1: in the morning early between five and six, Um, I
- 17:54Speaker 1: will have a full glass of water before anything else.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I try to work out first thing because then the
- 18:00Speaker 1: kids start to wake up at seven. I do not
- 18:04Speaker 1: eat before. If I work out early, I do not eat. UM.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I work out, which is normally either a jog or
- 18:10Speaker 1: I go on the bike, and then UM. For breakfast,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I either have oatmeal with a little bit of brown sugar,
- 18:16Speaker 1: not the pre made oatmeal that has a ton of
- 18:19Speaker 1: brown sugar, just regular oatmeal or even an oatmeal from Starbucks.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Add a little brown sugar and some fresh berries. UM.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Then I always will have a morning snack, and that
- 18:30Speaker 1: really depends on the day. It could be you know,
- 18:33Speaker 1: a handful of cashews, a half avocado, um, you know fruit.
- 18:39Speaker 1: It's really whatever I have prepped at the house. And
- 18:41Speaker 1: then lunch. UM. One of my favorite things for lunch
- 18:44Speaker 1: is I make this a rugal of salad with the
- 18:48Speaker 1: pre made lintels from Trader Joe's, um, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado,
- 18:57Speaker 1: some balsamic vinegar, and it's so yummy. Have that for lunch.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I'll have an afternoon snack similar to whatever I had
- 19:05Speaker 1: for breakfast. I just make sure that it's clean, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: like I'm not. I'm not gonna eat a protein bar
- 19:10Speaker 1: or something that's filled with a bunch of sugars. I'll
- 19:13Speaker 1: have natural sugars from fruit of course. And then dinner.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I tend to keep my lightest meal of the day.
- 19:19Speaker 1: So um, if I go out to dinner, it's something
- 19:23Speaker 1: I would normally have, is like the chicken pie yard
- 19:26Speaker 1: or I will have um uh, spaghetti squash pasta with
- 19:32Speaker 1: you know, even a bolonaise or something. But if I'm home,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I will have maybe even a soup. It soup fills
- 19:39Speaker 1: me up and I love the taste of it, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: I feel I have a good night's sleep. If I
- 19:43Speaker 1: eat too much right before bed, I don't sleep well. Um.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And then you know I play it by air. But
- 19:48Speaker 1: that's like a standard day. Um. And so what about alcohol?
- 19:54Speaker 1: People want to know what you drink. I mean, we
- 19:56Speaker 1: know you drink aprol spritzes, but do you know drink Yes,
- 20:01Speaker 1: I mean appl sprits. But would you say that that
- 20:04Speaker 1: is like the skinniest drink. Skinniest people always say, like,
- 20:09Speaker 1: what do you drink? That's the healthiest thing for you
- 20:12Speaker 1: to drink, And for me, that's not how I drink.
- 20:14Speaker 1: If I'm gonna drink. It's because I want to drink
- 20:16Speaker 1: something I actually enjoy drinking. So yeah, I'll have a
- 20:20Speaker 1: skinny spicy mark, not because I'm thinking that's the healthiest option,
- 20:24Speaker 1: but because it has taste less sugary, and I enjoy
- 20:27Speaker 1: the taste of that better or an apper all sprits
- 20:30Speaker 1: or whatever it may be. But I'm not for me,
- 20:34Speaker 1: I'm not going to have like a vodka on the
- 20:36Speaker 1: rocks because it's the healthiest version of an alcohol for me,
- 20:40Speaker 1: because that doesn't taste good. So I would rather drink
- 20:43Speaker 1: less times a week or a month or whatever it maybe,
- 20:46Speaker 1: and drink things I like. Then I have to endure
- 20:50Speaker 1: drinking something straight because I'm trying to cut the cows. Well,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I was just saying that this isn't a teddy answer,
- 20:56Speaker 1: But you could drink a water which is vodka soda
- 20:59Speaker 1: with a squeeze of a lime or lemon, but it's
- 21:01Speaker 1: not good. Acasta is delicious, but that's you know, we
- 21:04Speaker 1: don't need to Also, I'm not the best on vodka.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I'm a better tequila drinker. For the record, Well, you
- 21:09Speaker 1: do tequila soda with some lime? Um? People want to know,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and I know you personally, and you've talked about this before,
- 21:16Speaker 1: but they want to know about the mom pooch, how
- 21:18Speaker 1: do you get rid of it? And I know that
- 21:19Speaker 1: you wear your high waisted pants because you have a
- 21:22Speaker 1: little bit of loose skin, But do you have anything
- 21:24Speaker 1: to say about specifically the mom pooch and how to
- 21:28Speaker 1: get rid of it? Well, I think a big part,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you know, first, the mom pooch, I've just kind of
- 21:34Speaker 1: learned to embrace a little bit by wearing my highwaisted
- 21:37Speaker 1: pants and knowing that like in due time, it will
- 21:40Speaker 1: continue to shrink. But also, like abs are made in
- 21:45Speaker 1: the kitchen, I could do five million setups and be
- 21:47Speaker 1: eating terribly and my stomach isn't going to change. So
- 21:50Speaker 1: I think the cleaner and the healthier that you're eating,
- 21:53Speaker 1: the more that your midsection is going to change. That
- 21:57Speaker 1: being said, if you have loose skin like I have
- 21:59Speaker 1: loose skin, you know in my lower abdomen, I don't
- 22:03Speaker 1: know if that'll go away now after my third child.
- 22:07Speaker 1: That being said, do I really care? No, because it's
- 22:10Speaker 1: something out of my control. So I think it's really
- 22:12Speaker 1: important to focus on the things that we can control
- 22:15Speaker 1: instead of obsessing over the things that we can, So,
- 22:17Speaker 1: would you ever go in to get it, like any
- 22:20Speaker 1: kind of surgery, any any kind of you know, I
- 22:24Speaker 1: can't ever say never, but I don't think so. I mean,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I had my boobs done, so like there's no shame
- 22:29Speaker 1: in my game when it comes to like plastic surgery,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and I think you have to do what makes you
- 22:34Speaker 1: feel best. Um. For me, my loose skin on my
- 22:37Speaker 1: stomach doesn't bother me to the point where I would
- 22:40Speaker 1: I would probably get surgery on it. Um. But you know,
- 22:44Speaker 1: who knows If I have fifty more kids, maybe please,
- 22:50Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna hanging up on this call right now. UM.
- 22:54Speaker 1: So you've got questions, um, like specific things like what
- 22:59Speaker 1: do you think about waste trainers? Have you ever done
- 23:01Speaker 1: anything like a waste trainer? You know? No one? I
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not a doctor, but it just
- 23:08Speaker 1: seems strange to me to like squinch, like squish all
- 23:12Speaker 1: of your insides together. Like I read something that said
- 23:16Speaker 1: that like it pushes all of your intestines together and
- 23:19Speaker 1: it can make you sick. I don't know if that's
- 23:21Speaker 1: true or like what, But the main thing for me
- 23:24Speaker 1: is it's not comfortable even after you have a baby.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You have to like wear the hospital sends you home
- 23:32Speaker 1: with not a waste trainer. It's like mesh, but like
- 23:35Speaker 1: you're supposed to wear it tighter on your belly, and
- 23:36Speaker 1: I did that just because that's the first week, because
- 23:39Speaker 1: that's supposed to help the swelling goes down and you're
- 23:43Speaker 1: gonna really love this part, Matt. But like get the
- 23:46Speaker 1: rest of the juices out. But no other than that,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I didn't. I wore compression panties like after week two
- 23:56Speaker 1: with baby Dov. But no, I'm not a waste trainer gap.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So you don't have any kind of you know, any
- 24:02Speaker 1: gimmicks or any like tools or anything. You're just it's
- 24:06Speaker 1: just fitness, work out and eat cleanly. That's it. That's it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Try to get it. I mean as a mom, it's hard,
- 24:12Speaker 1: but try to get as much sleep as you can. Um,
- 24:16Speaker 1: that's not my best my best thing, but you know
- 24:19Speaker 1: that definitely does help. What about the thime Master that's
- 24:22Speaker 1: making a comeback? It is? Why haven't you sent it
- 24:26Speaker 1: to me? I would do a thime Master video, all right,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'll get you on to write an Amazon Uh. One
- 24:36Speaker 1: less thing to be more serious about this topic is
- 24:38Speaker 1: a lot of people ask questions about this because you've
- 24:41Speaker 1: been very open about it, which is great, but they
- 24:44Speaker 1: want advice for young girls who are struggling with body
- 24:49Speaker 1: image issues. Well, I think a big thing that we're
- 24:52Speaker 1: seeing right now is on social media, you're looking at
- 24:57Speaker 1: people that do not exist. You're looking at bodies that
- 25:00Speaker 1: do not exist. You know, when I was younger, I
- 25:02Speaker 1: had my own body issues and I wasn't even dealing
- 25:05Speaker 1: with in the world of social media when it comes
- 25:08Speaker 1: to face tune and s curve surgeries and who knows
- 25:13Speaker 1: what else everybody is doing. So I think the biggest
- 25:16Speaker 1: thing to remember as a young girl is like social
- 25:20Speaker 1: media is a highlight of something that most likely isn't
- 25:25Speaker 1: real life. So try not to compare yourself to others
- 25:28Speaker 1: and especially those that you look up to on social
- 25:30Speaker 1: media because half the time, you know, it's it's filtered,
- 25:35Speaker 1: it's air brushed all you know, all magazine covers all
- 25:37Speaker 1: of that stuff, it's all airbrushed. It's all you know
- 25:40Speaker 1: nine times out of ten. Um. And the other thing
- 25:43Speaker 1: is like, try to find somebody that you're comfortable sharing
- 25:48Speaker 1: what's going on with you. There's so many resources. Um,
- 25:52Speaker 1: there's easier ways now to get help. UM, you can
- 25:56Speaker 1: do it online their support groups. UM. And I think
- 26:01Speaker 1: the biggest thing that we, you know, always want to
- 26:04Speaker 1: do when it comes to body images, like we want
- 26:07Speaker 1: to put shame on ourselves and we want to you know,
- 26:10Speaker 1: add this extra guilt. There's nothing to be ashamed about.
- 26:14Speaker 1: So if if you're in a room full of twenty
- 26:16Speaker 1: people and you ask how many of you have dealt with,
- 26:20Speaker 1: you know, body image issues, most people will raise their hands,
- 26:24Speaker 1: you know, So it's something yeah, I mean yeah, men
- 26:28Speaker 1: and men as well. So I think, you know, really
- 26:31Speaker 1: just finding somebody that you feel safe and comfortable talking to. UM.
- 26:35Speaker 1: And if you're starting to see that you're going down
- 26:38Speaker 1: patterns that aren't healthy, UM, you know, don't wait, try
- 26:44Speaker 1: to take action immediately to get help. Whether it's talking
- 26:46Speaker 1: to your mother, your father, a friend, a guidance counselor,
- 26:51Speaker 1: and they can put you in touch with somebody that
- 26:53Speaker 1: can help you before you go deeper and deeper into
- 26:56Speaker 1: the path. That's good advice. I think with people like
- 27:01Speaker 1: Lizzo and you know, it's helpful that we have role
- 27:05Speaker 1: models now that aren't standard cookie cutter. Yeah. I mean,
- 27:12Speaker 1: I think the biggest thing is whatever is going to
- 27:14Speaker 1: make you feel your best wherever you feel comfortable in
- 27:17Speaker 1: your own skin, whether it's you are, you know, whatever
- 27:21Speaker 1: side of you know. You know, there's people that get
- 27:26Speaker 1: bullied because they're too thin and they were naturally done,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and there's people that were you know, whatever it may be,
- 27:31Speaker 1: there's always some You're not going to be perfect in
- 27:34Speaker 1: anybody's eyes, and you know, as a kid, you start
- 27:38Speaker 1: to want, you know, to be something that's it's just
- 27:41Speaker 1: not reasonable. And I think the biggest thing we all
- 27:43Speaker 1: want and that we all work on is just being
- 27:45Speaker 1: comfortable in our own skin wherever we are. Yeah, that's great,
- 27:50Speaker 1: great device, Matt. Before we get into our miscellaneous questions,
- 27:55Speaker 1: we have to take a little break. So the most
- 28:08Speaker 1: interesting one that came in was do you prefer to
- 28:13Speaker 1: wax or shave? Well? Excuse me, well, I um, I
- 28:21Speaker 1: used to be more of a waxing gal, but since
- 28:24Speaker 1: the pandemic, shaving has been the new normal, and you
- 28:29Speaker 1: know what, I'm getting used to it. I'm good, but
- 28:32Speaker 1: at some point in time I will probably laser to
- 28:34Speaker 1: be perfectly honest. But um, lasoring lasering, where are you saying? Okay? Well,
- 28:44Speaker 1: I mean you also grow hair, on your armpits and
- 28:47Speaker 1: your upper lip. What you're saying, I have a mustache?
- 28:51Speaker 1: What can you see it through the zoom right now?
- 28:54Speaker 1: What are you trying to say? No, I don't shave
- 28:57Speaker 1: my mustache, Matt, I ner it. Your listeners want to know, okay, um,
- 29:05Speaker 1: And then you have a lot of people question I'm
- 29:08Speaker 1: sure you you've talked about it before, but a lot
- 29:10Speaker 1: of people want to know growing up with a famous father?
- 29:15Speaker 1: What was that? Like? You know, I never really and
- 29:20Speaker 1: it sounds like such a cop out answer, but I
- 29:22Speaker 1: really didn't know the magnitude of it growing up in
- 29:26Speaker 1: South Carolina. Like occasionally if you'd come to a volleyball came,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'd see like one of the parents like whispering or
- 29:32Speaker 1: you know, whatever it may be. But it was never
- 29:34Speaker 1: really a big deal. Um. I think when people figured out,
- 29:39Speaker 1: like in the fifth grade, like I think you had
- 29:41Speaker 1: a really big hit out when I was in the
- 29:43Speaker 1: fifth grade that all of my friends like hurd on
- 29:45Speaker 1: the radio. Um. I mean, I probably not the best
- 29:49Speaker 1: story to share, but everyone's like, your dad sings blah
- 29:51Speaker 1: blah blah. Your dad sings blah blah blah. And I'm
- 29:53Speaker 1: like I was adopted. I don't know why I said it,
- 30:00Speaker 1: and they were like, well, why do you look exactly
- 30:03Speaker 1: like him then? And I was like, I don't know,
- 30:05Speaker 1: that's up to you. You know, like I really kind
- 30:07Speaker 1: of always I never I never thought it was any
- 30:11Speaker 1: different than you know, Brooks dad, who was the headmaster Christians,
- 30:15Speaker 1: you know whatever. It was like, I just really thought
- 30:18Speaker 1: of it like a job, his job. And it wasn't
- 30:21Speaker 1: until I came to California and I worked at CIA
- 30:25Speaker 1: and I worked for one of the heads of the
- 30:28Speaker 1: lift department is a huge agency. Oh yeah, cia' is
- 30:32Speaker 1: the talent agency and I was his assistant. I sat
- 30:34Speaker 1: in his office with him and I was like totally green.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I had no idea what I was doing. And he's like, Teddy,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I need reservations up you know whatever was Mr chow
- 30:42Speaker 1: At blah blah blah. And I couldn't get the reservation.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And I was like, hey, I I I'm sorry. I
- 30:48Speaker 1: couldn't get the reservation. I guess I called too late.
- 30:51Speaker 1: And he's like, well did you use your name? And
- 30:54Speaker 1: I was like huh And he's like, well drop your
- 30:57Speaker 1: name and see if you can get me in his
- 30:59Speaker 1: that and that was like a complete like what because
- 31:04Speaker 1: nobody That's not how it was growing up, you know,
- 31:07Speaker 1: not to be the cliche growing up in a small town.
- 31:12Speaker 1: But uh yeah, I mean that was kind of my
- 31:15Speaker 1: first like wake up call is like, oh, this is
- 31:19Speaker 1: a little different. That's interesting. Your your father will be
- 31:23Speaker 1: happy to know. He gave us one of the greatest
- 31:25Speaker 1: gifts music. Oh I thought you were gonna say, one
- 31:28Speaker 1: of the greatest gifts ever his daughter Teddy. No, you know,
- 31:32Speaker 1: I'm more of a Justice fan. Those that don't know,
- 31:36Speaker 1: Justice is my sister, and Matt always talks about how
- 31:40Speaker 1: she's the cuter one, she's the funnier one. She loves Justice.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I'm like, you're supposed my best friend. Not true, but no,
- 31:49Speaker 1: I think the sample for Jessica Simptons. I think I'm
- 31:52Speaker 1: in love. Oh, he would be the rell to know.
- 31:58Speaker 1: It's just an f y. I jam all right, this
- 32:02Speaker 1: is the moment we've all been waiting for. We're gonna
- 32:04Speaker 1: transfer ourselves into a mindset of the Real Housewives of
- 32:08Speaker 1: Beverly Hills. You're so excited to speak on it. Um,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you know, it's let's just say, it's been a tough
- 32:18Speaker 1: season for you. Yeah, I mean it's been a tough
- 32:21Speaker 1: two seasons. Yes, which season do you feel has been harder?
- 32:28Speaker 1: Puppy Gate nine or whatever we're calling ten. I know
- 32:33Speaker 1: it sounds so crazy, but the hardest season for me
- 32:36Speaker 1: was my first season. Even though it was the best
- 32:39Speaker 1: with the fans, they loved me, they embraced me, like
- 32:44Speaker 1: it was like, wow, this is so wonderful. Um, But
- 32:48Speaker 1: living it was very hard because I didn't know anybody.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I wasn't comfortable, um and I just I felt like
- 32:58Speaker 1: I was like having to I don't know. The dynamics
- 33:01Speaker 1: just wasn't the same as it is now. And even
- 33:03Speaker 1: though yes, there was some hell in nine and there's
- 33:06Speaker 1: been a lot of hell intent, there are some friendships
- 33:09Speaker 1: that I truly love now and there's you know, a
- 33:12Speaker 1: real trust and a real bond and I've really learned
- 33:16Speaker 1: a lot. I've you know, regardless of what you can
- 33:19Speaker 1: can say about all of us is it's a group
- 33:22Speaker 1: of strong women that work hard, and you know, I'm
- 33:26Speaker 1: really grateful to them. So you know it, there's you know,
- 33:31Speaker 1: hard stuff and and whatnot. But I do have some real,
- 33:34Speaker 1: true friendships that I you know, I couldn't imagine my
- 33:36Speaker 1: life without. Yeah, A lot of people were asking about
- 33:40Speaker 1: your and Kyle's friendship, which has been a matter of
- 33:42Speaker 1: contention on this season. Um, and they just want to know,
- 33:47Speaker 1: you know, you really are friends who were life. Yes,
- 33:50Speaker 1: what's it like? What? What what is your friendship like
- 33:52Speaker 1: with Kyle in real life? I mean, I think the
- 33:54Speaker 1: best thing about my friendship with Kyle for me And
- 33:57Speaker 1: I know this is gonna sound a little bit weird,
- 34:00Speaker 1: but like it's easy. You know how some friendships it
- 34:03Speaker 1: feels like it's work. It's not like that. With her.
- 34:06Speaker 1: We effortlessly are having fun. We're laughing, we're joking. Our
- 34:10Speaker 1: families mesh well together, our kids like each other. We
- 34:14Speaker 1: enjoy doing the same things, going on the same type
- 34:16Speaker 1: of trips. Um. You know, often times we're like sending
- 34:20Speaker 1: each other the exact same meme at the same time.
- 34:23Speaker 1: You know, like our humor is similar, what we laugh
- 34:26Speaker 1: at shows, we like. So we just have a lot
- 34:28Speaker 1: in common. And um, yeah, so I really have a
- 34:33Speaker 1: great friendship with Kyle. And I think that that's really
- 34:37Speaker 1: what the women were talking about, is like they could
- 34:40Speaker 1: feel how strong our friendship was, and in this group
- 34:44Speaker 1: that can be scary. Yeah, I mean, what we know,
- 34:49Speaker 1: I feel about that. People, How can you feel about that? Matt,
- 34:54Speaker 1: It's just it's just strange. It was a strange I
- 34:58Speaker 1: don't know. I will tell you I believe that how
- 35:01Speaker 1: things have played out with you or how you acted
- 35:05Speaker 1: if I feel like you didn't do something properly. But
- 35:08Speaker 1: that was a strange term thing. And I've been around
- 35:10Speaker 1: you entire before and it's so weird. Do you guys
- 35:13Speaker 1: just have a nice, genuine friendship. I don't understand why
- 35:16Speaker 1: it's an issue. I am not aerial. I don't want
- 35:20Speaker 1: to be part of your world in that aspect anyway.
- 35:24Speaker 1: But people are asking, you know, they are asking about
- 35:27Speaker 1: other castmates, and they want to know if you pow
- 35:32Speaker 1: are you and Camille? Camille? No, No, all right, we're
- 35:43Speaker 1: moving on. We're not. We don't talk, but I'm still
- 35:47Speaker 1: have plenty to say about me every week on Twitter, Yes,
- 35:51Speaker 1: uh Twitter. Um. And they also were asking, of course
- 35:56Speaker 1: about Lisa ander Pump. You know, have you spoken to her?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Do you think that she was missed from the show?
- 36:05Speaker 1: Do you think it's changed for the better of the
- 36:07Speaker 1: worst since she left? UM? I had The last time
- 36:12Speaker 1: I saw her in person was at Denise's wedding Um.
- 36:17Speaker 1: She The last time we spoke, UM was because someone
- 36:21Speaker 1: in her life passed away and I sent her flowers, UM,
- 36:25Speaker 1: and she called to thank me. UM. And that is it. UM.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I didn't speak to her before joining Housewives, and you know,
- 36:36Speaker 1: I didn't know her prior, and we don't speak and
- 36:38Speaker 1: we don't we don't run in the same circles. I
- 36:40Speaker 1: don't bump into her. It's there's really no crossover. UM.
- 36:44Speaker 1: In regards to the show. Do I feel like there's
- 36:46Speaker 1: been a shift, Yes, in the fact that I feel
- 36:50Speaker 1: like a lot more people have let their guard down
- 36:52Speaker 1: and I've been able to see more of who everybody is. UM.
- 36:56Speaker 1: But you know, she was part of the show for
- 36:58Speaker 1: a long time. Yeah, UM. And then all the other
- 37:03Speaker 1: girls people. People said in a lot of questions, of course,
- 37:06Speaker 1: so we can't ask all the Beverly Hills questions. But
- 37:08Speaker 1: one of the questions that struck was are you afraid
- 37:12Speaker 1: of Erica? No? And I think, Um, I I've said
- 37:18Speaker 1: this like impressed before, but and I've said it to
- 37:20Speaker 1: you and you got actually really offended. But I said,
- 37:23Speaker 1: if I were to get arrested tomorrow, Erica would probably
- 37:27Speaker 1: be one of the people that I called um because
- 37:30Speaker 1: I really trust her and I don't think she would
- 37:32Speaker 1: say you know, I think she would take care of
- 37:34Speaker 1: me in the situation. She is a very good person, Um,
- 37:38Speaker 1: and you don't need to get your feelings hurt. Matt,
- 37:40Speaker 1: you'd be like sixth on the list. Well, it's probably
- 37:43Speaker 1: wouldn't answer the call anyway, so you just wrot. But uh,
- 37:48Speaker 1: you know, I think the issues that people saw with
- 37:51Speaker 1: Erica and I season one was truly because we never
- 37:54Speaker 1: had a one on one We never got to know
- 37:56Speaker 1: one another. We were put in a situation that was
- 37:59Speaker 1: just kind of awkward encounterunters over and over again that
- 38:03Speaker 1: like we never got to actually hash through until the reunion.
- 38:07Speaker 1: And then once we had the reunion, we both had
- 38:09Speaker 1: like a big girl conversation and said, like, this is
- 38:12Speaker 1: what I did wrong. She said, this is what I
- 38:14Speaker 1: did wrong. Let's agree to move on, and we fully have.
- 38:17Speaker 1: And I think throughout these past two seasons you can
- 38:20Speaker 1: see the trust we started to form in one another
- 38:23Speaker 1: and the friendship that we have created because we both
- 38:27Speaker 1: really did move on. Yeah, And I think we even
- 38:30Speaker 1: saw that in the episode this past week's episode, and
- 38:33Speaker 1: you made a comment about it on Twitter. That you
- 38:36Speaker 1: know you're in Erica's friendship has really grown, and it's
- 38:40Speaker 1: something I feel, as Housewise fans we want. Andy has
- 38:43Speaker 1: even said he thinks that the shows are the best
- 38:46Speaker 1: when the girls actually genuine friendships and can play off
- 38:51Speaker 1: of that. So I think that that's a great thing
- 38:53Speaker 1: to continue to grow your friendship and become true, true
- 38:56Speaker 1: friends even off the show. And I agree. And I
- 38:59Speaker 1: also think that it shows how much things can shift
- 39:03Speaker 1: from year to year. You know, if you're willing to
- 39:07Speaker 1: be open and have those hard conversations. You know, a
- 39:10Speaker 1: lot of what we're struggling with this year is when
- 39:13Speaker 1: Denise will leave, or she'll walk away, or she'll want
- 39:15Speaker 1: to have a one sided conversation, and then we can't
- 39:18Speaker 1: move through it because only one side is being said,
- 39:21Speaker 1: and that's why it becomes, you know, like a domino effect.
- 39:25Speaker 1: But I think that when you can both you know,
- 39:28Speaker 1: admit you know, the things you said are the things
- 39:30Speaker 1: you've done, it can really help build friendships. And that's
- 39:33Speaker 1: why from year to year you see the friendships shift
- 39:37Speaker 1: on the show. Right. Well, since you brought up Denise,
- 39:42Speaker 1: I guess we should just go right into it, Okay,
- 39:45Speaker 1: as you are aware you've got a lot of questions
- 39:48Speaker 1: about this season's drama and everything that went down with niece,
- 39:53Speaker 1: and people want to know why you didn't tell Denise
- 39:59Speaker 1: off Why did you wait to tell her on camera? Okay, So,
- 40:04Speaker 1: the biggest thing about when you sign up to do
- 40:06Speaker 1: a reality show is you're never going to let any
- 40:10Speaker 1: drama play out behind the scenes. I learned my lesson
- 40:16Speaker 1: last year with the entire thing with Lisa vander Pump
- 40:19Speaker 1: and Derrite and the dog doing something off camera that
- 40:23Speaker 1: that really came back to bite me in the butt,
- 40:27Speaker 1: because as a somebody who signed up to show your life,
- 40:31Speaker 1: to show what's going on, you have to let the
- 40:34Speaker 1: things play out on camera. If not, you're going to
- 40:37Speaker 1: get screwed in the long run, no matter what. So
- 40:41Speaker 1: and once it was already out there on camera when
- 40:44Speaker 1: Brandy brought it up. When Brandy told us, if I
- 40:49Speaker 1: would have told her off camera, I would have been
- 40:54Speaker 1: been in a situation where I am doing something behind productions, back,
- 40:58Speaker 1: behind this back, and that would was even more drama.
- 41:02Speaker 1: So it's just, you know, I think it sucked that
- 41:06Speaker 1: I had to be the one that said it, But
- 41:08Speaker 1: would people have rather I never said anything and she
- 41:11Speaker 1: was just blindsided once the show aired. At least this way,
- 41:16Speaker 1: she was able to get everything in order have the
- 41:19Speaker 1: conversation she needed to have and handle her life out
- 41:23Speaker 1: accordingly to what the information was given. But you know
- 41:28Speaker 1: that that's what we signed up for. And then you know,
- 41:30Speaker 1: people want to know why at dinner, why in the
- 41:33Speaker 1: group setting? Well, I think I wasn't When I originally
- 41:38Speaker 1: started the conversation, I envisioned it going differently. I envisioned
- 41:42Speaker 1: when I said, you know, I know you said these
- 41:43Speaker 1: things to Brandy. I know that this happened. I know that. UM,
- 41:48Speaker 1: you know, I'm in a situation where now I don't
- 41:51Speaker 1: trust you know all of this. And if Denise would
- 41:56Speaker 1: have responded with I don't remember saying that to her,
- 41:59Speaker 1: I don't feel that way, or I do feel that way,
- 42:02Speaker 1: but I didn't. I don't remember saying that to her. Um,
- 42:05Speaker 1: the conversation would have been over. But instead she doubled
- 42:09Speaker 1: down and said, I don't even speak to this woman.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I don't know her. She's a loose cannon. You know,
- 42:14Speaker 1: all these different things that she said, which then as
- 42:18Speaker 1: you continue to see through the episodes, she then changes
- 42:21Speaker 1: her story four or five more times. Actually they did speak.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Actually she said way worse things about me than she admitted,
- 42:27Speaker 1: you know all of those things. Um. So that's really
- 42:32Speaker 1: where I thought the conversation would go. I didn't realize
- 42:35Speaker 1: that she was then going to say I didn't know her,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I don't talk to her. I mean we were just
- 42:40Speaker 1: at Bravo con where she had said on a stage
- 42:43Speaker 1: how close she was with you know, with Brandy and
- 42:46Speaker 1: how she would love for her to be back on
- 42:47Speaker 1: the show. Well she got her wish. Um. And I
- 42:51Speaker 1: think also, like it sucks. It sucks to be the messenger.
- 42:56Speaker 1: But I would have hated being blindsided even more if
- 43:00Speaker 1: if I had not said something to her and group
- 43:02Speaker 1: or no group, things get around in this group. So yeah,
- 43:08Speaker 1: and you know, people want to know. I think it's obvious,
- 43:10Speaker 1: but people are asking do you believe Brandy or do
- 43:13Speaker 1: you believe Denise? Well, I think you know whether or not.
- 43:18Speaker 1: And also I want to clarify something. When I said
- 43:21Speaker 1: this is really bad, I was referring to the fact
- 43:25Speaker 1: that an affair was being thrown around. It had nothing
- 43:28Speaker 1: to do with the fact a lot of people are
- 43:30Speaker 1: saying to me, like, is this because you're homophobic? Or
- 43:34Speaker 1: you're outing her any of these types of things, and
- 43:36Speaker 1: of course not I was saying this is really bad
- 43:40Speaker 1: because it was an affair that was being told on
- 43:45Speaker 1: national television or an a legend affair, and that's the
- 43:49Speaker 1: part I was saying, this is, you know, and I
- 43:50Speaker 1: was kind of leading up to it, trying to say, like,
- 43:53Speaker 1: you probably don't want me to say with this is
- 43:56Speaker 1: right now, like whatever it may be, you know, because
- 43:58Speaker 1: she said she already knew what it us. So you know, Yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 1: the that whole thing as a gay person. I the
- 44:07Speaker 1: people that are saying that, and they're they're not thinking
- 44:09Speaker 1: it logically, is that there's they're actually insinuating that you
- 44:13Speaker 1: were outing somebody, right, is what some of the arguments are. Um.
- 44:18Speaker 1: And I didn't even know this was gonna come up.
- 44:19Speaker 1: We were and talk about this, so it wasn't you
- 44:22Speaker 1: weren't outing anybody. First of all, Brandy brought it up
- 44:25Speaker 1: on camera first about the affair, and also, uh, I
- 44:31Speaker 1: think that Denise has talked about being by curious previously
- 44:37Speaker 1: in the press years ago. So I think that people
- 44:40Speaker 1: that are trying to come at you about that are
- 44:43Speaker 1: finding ways to attack you that aren't right, like we
- 44:48Speaker 1: know that you were just saying it was because an affair.
- 44:50Speaker 1: The story came to you and it looked like, you know,
- 44:54Speaker 1: it was going to affect their marriage. So yeah, I mean,
- 44:58Speaker 1: of course, and so that even during that kind of thing,
- 45:01Speaker 1: it just none of it's fun, and but it's it's
- 45:04Speaker 1: something that's happened, and now we have to kind of
- 45:07Speaker 1: kind of go through the emotions, and it's it does suck,
- 45:10Speaker 1: and that's the that's the hardest part about doing reality television.
- 45:13Speaker 1: But if you do sign up and you do, you know,
- 45:17Speaker 1: say you're going to show your lives and you're going
- 45:19Speaker 1: to whether there was alleged affair or not, she had
- 45:23Speaker 1: a relationship with somebody could potentially have been a friendship.
- 45:27Speaker 1: It's not my place to say, but she was in
- 45:30Speaker 1: communication with Brandy and that was my point, right. Uh,
- 45:36Speaker 1: do you hope that next season it's a fresh start
- 45:40Speaker 1: with the nise, Like where do you see it go?
- 45:44Speaker 1: You know, I never say never. Um, I mean, everyone's
- 45:47Speaker 1: gonna have to tune in and watch the reunion, But
- 45:49Speaker 1: I mean I think there's probably a lot of work
- 45:51Speaker 1: that needs to be done, you know, and things that
- 45:53Speaker 1: need to be figured out. But you know, I I
- 45:57Speaker 1: things have changed so much from C into season. You
- 46:01Speaker 1: never know. I mean we were close last year, so
- 46:04Speaker 1: it's it's hard to it's hard to say you'd be
- 46:08Speaker 1: going in with an open mind, though, I mean, yeah,
- 46:12Speaker 1: you gotta keep watching on that one. Is there a
- 46:16Speaker 1: specific celebrity that, if you could choose, you would have
- 46:19Speaker 1: been doing the cast? I don't know. Maybe Christy Teagan
- 46:24Speaker 1: I think would be really funny. Boy would be amazing,
- 46:28Speaker 1: Like how good would she be? Um? I don't know.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I just think someone that's funny, someone that's opinionated. Who
- 46:36Speaker 1: who would your pick be? Oh? Boy, if you had
- 46:41Speaker 1: to do a celebrity, Oh gosh, now you put me
- 46:45Speaker 1: on the spot. I don't know. I don't know. You
- 46:47Speaker 1: put me on the spot. This is your podcast. I'm
- 46:50Speaker 1: here to do that. I'm here to just ask you questions.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I delivered it an amazing response. I don't know to
- 46:58Speaker 1: get back to you. Oh, or Brad Garski, Oh, you
- 47:03Speaker 1: would do a house husband? A house husband like he
- 47:06Speaker 1: is so hilarious his um recent one where he's mocking us,
- 47:12Speaker 1: It's tears came out of my eyes. Yeah. He and Garagine.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Gargin's Instagram you should follow it if you don't because
- 47:19Speaker 1: it's hilarious. Well, well, I'm thinking to your listeners. Um,
- 47:24Speaker 1: So people want to know, though, do you see yourself
- 47:27Speaker 1: continuing to do the show over the next few years?
- 47:31Speaker 1: You know, we never know until about two weeks before
- 47:35Speaker 1: it starts shooting every season, So it's one of those
- 47:38Speaker 1: things that you just kind of you see keeping us
- 47:41Speaker 1: on our toes. So we don't know. So I can't
- 47:45Speaker 1: even I can't even say for sure next season. You know,
- 47:48Speaker 1: it really just depends. Okay. I think I save this
- 47:53Speaker 1: question because it's it's a good one to end with.
- 47:56Speaker 1: In general, in your life being on TV and all that,
- 48:01Speaker 1: people want to know. What is the biggest misconception that
- 48:07Speaker 1: you feel people have about you? Um? I think oftentimes,
- 48:12Speaker 1: especially this season on Housewives, it looks like I'm at
- 48:16Speaker 1: a loss for words, like they've panned me, and my
- 48:19Speaker 1: mouth is like open or like I'm making a weird face. Um,
- 48:25Speaker 1: I'm kind of always a blabber mouth. I'm always making
- 48:29Speaker 1: fun of myself. I'm very self deprecating. I don't take
- 48:32Speaker 1: myself so seriously. And I mean, you're one of one
- 48:36Speaker 1: of my good friends. What would you say it is?
- 48:38Speaker 1: I mean, I think that often times I look so
- 48:40Speaker 1: serious on the show, but I think in real life,
- 48:44Speaker 1: like I am constantly laughing. I love to joke. I
- 48:47Speaker 1: loved to like for people to tease me, like I
- 48:50Speaker 1: I really that is who I am. Oh, I mean,
- 48:54Speaker 1: obviously it would be the B word. I would be
- 48:56Speaker 1: friends with you. I thought you were boring? What we
- 48:58Speaker 1: gonna scared each other with it? But I know that
- 49:07Speaker 1: that name is just un till the end of time.
- 49:09Speaker 1: And I'm like, of all the things that you want
- 49:12Speaker 1: to come at before the B word, I'm like, but
- 49:16Speaker 1: here you are. Um. But yeah, I have to make
- 49:23Speaker 1: fun of myself. If not, I'd go completely crazy. But
- 49:26Speaker 1: I think another big thing that's really important to me
- 49:29Speaker 1: to say that for anybody in the public eye, is
- 49:32Speaker 1: how important it is to have, you know, true friendships.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Like I'm really grate grateful to our friendship. I'm grateful
- 49:38Speaker 1: to so many of you know, my other girlfriends and
- 49:41Speaker 1: my husband, and my parents and my sisters and brothers
- 49:45Speaker 1: and people that really keep you, you know, keep you
- 49:50Speaker 1: realizing what's really important. So, yeah, there's some drama, there's
- 49:53Speaker 1: some hate, or there's any of these things, but the
- 49:55Speaker 1: biggest thing for me is like I know that the
- 49:59Speaker 1: people life that really matter, that I love and I
- 50:02Speaker 1: care about are are real, and that's what's most important
- 50:05Speaker 1: to me. And the fact that I can have a
- 50:07Speaker 1: business where I know in my heart that we're changing
- 50:09Speaker 1: people's lives and making them feel, you know, ready to
- 50:14Speaker 1: take on new goals for themselves or ask for that raise,
- 50:17Speaker 1: or leave that cheating husband or whatever it may be
- 50:20Speaker 1: because they're feeling good in their own skin really makes
- 50:22Speaker 1: me feel good. So even though at the start of
- 50:24Speaker 1: this podcast, I was saying about, you know, like, oh,
- 50:27Speaker 1: today was so terrible, there's always a silver lining. And
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm so grateful to have great friends, a great family,
- 50:34Speaker 1: be able to talk to you guys on Teddy Teapot
