- 1:50Speaker 1: Man. Does she have a book about salads? Is that
- 1:53Speaker 1: where she got it from?
- 1:54Speaker 2: No, it's a pretty it's a pretty well known traditional
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, But she does she have books about salads?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah, because my wife's got a few books about sellads.
- 2:02Speaker 1: She's got a few best sellers, and like a year
- 2:04Speaker 1: ago we started being selling and that delicious and like
- 2:07Speaker 1: we should eat more salads. But it's not just lettuce
- 2:09Speaker 1: and some tomato. It's like all sorts of fans.
- 2:11Speaker 2: It's really good and we're saying, God, it's good to
- 2:13Speaker 2: have some salads, absolutely, salad weather And one of my.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Daughters who's a real foody and loves cooking, we've got
- 2:22Speaker 3: all her cookbooks. So we've got about twenty cookbooks that
- 2:27Speaker 3: we never use, just in our bookcase. So what are
- 2:31Speaker 3: we going to do with those fucking things?
- 2:33Speaker 1: All you need is the Edmunds Cookbook? Pretty much.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Well, I don't use recipes. I just go off instinct,
- 2:39Speaker 3: as as my wife.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Sadly, some people's instincts are better than others.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's right now she's a damp hand.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, you don't need to she's a good cook.
- 2:50Speaker 2: She's a solid I'm saying she's a better in the
- 2:53Speaker 2: dishes department. Is that true?
- 2:57Speaker 1: If she heard this right now, she'd love it. She'd
- 2:59Speaker 1: be she knows.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Man, are you guys getting the screen?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Change it off your food? Last night my wife made
- 3:09Speaker 1: a joke. We're not a joke. She said something about
- 3:11Speaker 1: me which I found very offensive, which you guys would love,
- 3:14Speaker 1: because I made she started probably not oh maybe, she
- 3:19Speaker 1: started making dinner and then I finished it off while
- 3:21Speaker 1: she went to squash, and it was like this beef
- 3:23Speaker 1: stir fry with steak, That's right.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It was.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It was the steak was nice and tender, and blah
- 3:28Speaker 1: blah blah, followed the recipe perfectly, and then I ate
- 3:31Speaker 1: like half of it and then she's like, oh, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: eating the rest of it. And I was like, ah,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm just over steak. I just don't like steak anymore. Right,
- 3:37Speaker 1: She's like, fucking hell man, all you eat is chicken
- 3:39Speaker 1: and porkmants. And I was like, that is not true.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It's like you're full of ship.
- 3:45Speaker 2: She's the market.
- 3:48Speaker 1: She bought into the hype.
- 3:51Speaker 2: It can happen there.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's just I don't know, like if it's got an
- 3:53Speaker 1: amazing source on it, but the taste of it in itself,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I think I'm just sick of it, whereas chicken.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Probably have it once a month.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Actually yeah, same here.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But still I've never been a big steak man ever.
- 4:05Speaker 3: And funnily enough, my wife, you think you don't like steak.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Literally two days ago, I want to go out. I
- 4:11Speaker 3: want to go out and get a really big steak.
- 4:14Speaker 3: And I was like, really.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Kidding, Yeah, what do you get? No, she we haven't
- 4:18Speaker 1: done it yet.
- 4:19Speaker 3: She said, we need to go out so I can
- 4:21Speaker 3: buy a big steak.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, like when we were in Paris, Jase, which is
- 4:25Speaker 1: in Europe, is it. We went to a really high rated,
- 4:29Speaker 1: like classic French bistro and one of the things the
- 4:31Speaker 1: French do is a steak with chips right with this
- 4:34Speaker 1: amazing source on it. Can't remember what it's called. But
- 4:37Speaker 1: I had some of it and my wife was like,
- 4:39Speaker 1: this is fucking amazing, and I ate some of it
- 4:41Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, it's pretty pretty good. It's
- 4:44Speaker 1: still steak, I don't know, and so I just let
- 4:46Speaker 1: her eat the whole thing. I was like, fuck it,
- 4:47Speaker 1: I don't I'm not that interested. It's weird.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Your body knows. And it's the other thing as well.
- 4:51Speaker 2: As you get older, kizy, it's pretty young for a
- 4:54Speaker 2: man of your age to be given up on it.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But yeah, people do move away from those meats.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah right, I mean like a steak sandwich with onions
- 5:01Speaker 1: and heaps of seasoning and stuff.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yes, but just just the steak.
- 5:05Speaker 1: On its own. But then why am I eating steak
- 5:07Speaker 1: exact the waste. But chicken, on the other hand, never
- 5:10Speaker 1: done it for me. Neither of beef stir fries.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's like no, but no fry, chicken, nothing.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The whole racky Beef Show week days from four on
- 5:23Speaker 1: Radio Hurracky The Big Show Podcast. The st fray we
- 5:29Speaker 1: made last night was black bean beef with a very
- 5:33Speaker 1: traditional recipe involving like rice, wine and all sorts of it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Really nice if it wasn't rum Steak.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Having said that, Mogi from our local tie, we do
- 5:41Speaker 3: get a chicken and cashew stir fry.
- 5:44Speaker 2: That used to that's what I like if I'm going
- 5:45Speaker 2: to get it.
- 5:46Speaker 3: But it still like and it's fucking the bomb with
- 5:49Speaker 3: with sauce and stuff in it. It's real good, fucking
- 5:52Speaker 3: good man generally is a stir fry. I go ste
- 5:54Speaker 3: fries make me think of when I was broke.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Right, yeah, as opposed to rich and your broken wood money.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Now you're so rich that you don't even eat vegetables.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That's right.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I only eat meat and crackers and crackers.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Hey, feelers, are you guys going to the Screen Awards?
- 6:11Speaker 1: No I am. I hate those things. Yeah, I hate
- 6:15Speaker 1: them too. It'll be great, but at least it's a
- 6:18Speaker 1: table sitting down at the table.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It is a sitting down at the table. And they've
- 6:22Speaker 2: got this good deal where it's three hundred bucks for
- 6:24Speaker 2: one ticket.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That's good.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Or if you buy a table of ten, it's three grand,
- 6:28Speaker 2: so it's a good discount there. So I appreciated that
- 6:31Speaker 2: they even outlined it. They see it's three hundred bucks
- 6:33Speaker 2: for one, or you can get a table for three grand.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I can do the maths.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Mother.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going through my head going, well, hang on,
- 6:42Speaker 3: that's the same.
- 6:42Speaker 1: That's exactly the same.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It's a couple of people nominated.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Is the Screen Awards the TV Awards.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It's film and it was the New Zealand Television Awards.
- 6:51Speaker 2: But this year they're adding in film as well. It'll
- 6:54Speaker 2: be an extra hour exactly. It's going to be an
- 6:57Speaker 2: absolute punish.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I don't know what to do about it. I don't
- 7:03Speaker 2: know how they do You get wine and ship, well
- 7:05Speaker 2: you do, you know, but but I can't. But I
- 7:07Speaker 2: can't drink it because it's like a work. It's a
- 7:10Speaker 2: work thing, right, and I can't be like getting fucking
- 7:12Speaker 2: all Leary.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I can get wasted in the network, get it. Yeah, Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 1: that's yeah, that's what i'd do. Yeah, because Jason would
- 7:19Speaker 1: have gone to a lot of those award type things,
- 7:21Speaker 1: would you.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I would be you wouldn't have never. Yeah, I've been
- 7:24Speaker 2: to one when my nominated. Generally, if you're nominated, you go. Yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 2: you don't.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And that was only because they asked me to and
- 7:32Speaker 3: can you please come? And my brother directed it said
- 7:35Speaker 3: you should come.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I think we should go, and Steven Spielberg, Yeah, Steve.
