- 1:10and work on tonight Getting you an after show as well So with all of that said.
- 1:16I was sitting trying to come up with something for tonight And I had a few ideas
- 1:21And I kind of scratched it off,
- 1:24And I don't like to continuously talk about the same thing, but in the past
- 1:30couple of weeks, what's been on my mind,
- 1:33is the fact of life and how we are living it and how we are enjoying it.
- 1:41This is really important to me because as I've looked back on my life and my
- 1:46timeline, there's a lot of things I've gone through.
- 1:51And now I'm here in the moment that matters Which is the present moment And
- 1:58it took a lot for me to get here There's been so many changes along the way,
- 2:04What about yours? What's your changes? What have you done throughout your life.
- 2:13I'm very happy to say that I've enjoyed my life.
- 2:18There's definitely have been some pitfalls, you know, things happen.
- 2:24But I will say that with everything that has happened in the past,
- 2:31it helped me to develop into the person that I am today, right now,
- 2:37right here in this moment.
- 2:39So I want to talk to you, the audience, everyone listening, that we are so thrilled
- 2:48to help you try and see things from a different way.
- 2:53I do apologize if I'm rambling again. I think Lizzie says she wrote hers down.
- 2:57I might have to start doing that myself.
- 3:00But here's the most important thing. Sometimes we have to sit with our emotions.
- 3:07We have to sit with the moment that we're in.
- 3:11We have to embrace it and we have to learn the lessons from it.
- 3:14What we need to do is not so much renew ourselves, but recycle ourselves.
- 3:19And here's a good example of that.
- 3:22Going back when I left New York City and I was throwing down Southern Virginia
- 3:28and it was kind of a culture shock to me.
- 3:31I was going through a phase in my life where I was constantly thinking about
- 3:36the past Back in my high school days, I wanted to bring it back.
- 3:40And I always thought the present moment is what matters.
- 3:44Living in the past is not very good.
- 3:47And I was bringing myself almost a hyperventilation because I was so upset that
- 3:51those days were gone and over and I was in this new environment.
- 3:56It took me a while, a few cycles to sit with that and finally learn and understand,
- 4:03that that past was fantastic. I loved it.
- 4:08While it's great to say, hey, I want to go back to those days,
- 4:12I want to go back to that time, recycle and become renewed and rejuvenate everything
- 4:20that is in your present moment.
- 4:24I've had great friends back then, fantastic friends.
- 4:28We no longer communicate, but I renewed.
- 4:32I now have new friends, people whom I trust, wonderful friends.
- 4:38Recently, I made friends with Halos Phoenix, who you'll be meeting tonight.
- 4:42I definitely have a great friend with Lizzie. Means the world to me.
- 4:47Right now, listening live, my great friend, Sarah. Wonderful,
- 4:51wonderful people. And that's how you renew.
- 4:55You might not have those old friends, but what matters now are the people that
- 4:59are around you right now.
- 5:01And the things I've done throughout my life, when I was with emergency medical
- 5:07services back in New York City, that type A personality that I have and the
- 5:10go-getting and the, you know, that helped me to develop,
- 5:16into who I am because I had to take that level of excitement and bring it down
- 5:21to where I am right now. I learned from it.
- 5:25I recycled myself. I recycled what I was into who I am right now.
- 5:32Everything that I've accomplished between work, personal things,
- 5:37goals, dreams, everyone out there has something that you really want, dreams and desires.
- 5:46What I do not like is when people, And again, I hate repeating myself.
- 5:50I hate repeating the topics. But really, those of you who are putting that block
- 5:55in front of you, putting that big wall in front of you, just saying,
- 5:58oh, I can't do it or life's too tough or it requires money or requires this,
- 6:03that is repeating over and over
- 6:05in your mind and you're manifesting the failure that is certain to come.
- 6:11You need to set your goals. You need to set yourself up so that you get to do
- 6:18and achieve what it is you want in your life.
- 6:21Now, today I was reminded of something that was told to me, and I'm sure everybody heard it.
- 6:26Even when there is the craziest storm going on and all the clouds and how dark
- 6:33it is, that does not mean the sun is not there.
- 6:38We just can't see it in the present moment.
- 6:41But if you embrace that storm and you find the beauty in that storm,
- 6:46the way that feels, the negative ions taken over in the air,
- 6:50the freshness of that air, the feeling of that rain, the power of nature,
- 6:56you're starting to see things positive.
- 7:00Then the sun starts to come back out and you're still in that positive state.
- 7:04Nothing should put you down.
- 7:07Yes, we go through times of sadness we go through times of despair bad things
- 7:13happen to good people bad things happen to bad people,
- 7:17it's a never-ending cycle it's how we sit with them it's how we learn from them
- 7:22that's what's going to make you,
- 7:25achieve your goals and bring you to the point where you want to be,
- 7:31and it's important that we keep bettering ourselves keep recycling ourselves.
- 7:38I don't care how old you are, how young you are. I don't care if you change
- 7:43your personality, change your clothes every single day and what you want to
- 7:46look like and how you want to be.
- 7:50It's in the moment that you're doing it is what really matters.
- 7:54Some people change careers after doing the same job for 35 years,
- 7:58and then they change into something else. And then you sit and you have this
- 8:01realization, I just recycled myself.
- 8:04I now am the same person I was But I've just been remade into something Because
- 8:09some people say Wow, maybe I should have done this job Instead of the other
- 8:13one That I've been doing for the last 35 years This will bring us.
- 8:20Happiness, achievements, goals And that's what I want for everyone out there
- 8:27I want you to start achieving your goals I want everyone out there to see the
- 8:32silver linings in the clouds.
- 8:34I want everyone to remember that even when the clouds are out,
- 8:38doesn't mean the sun is not there.
- 8:40Now, I don't want to talk about the chemtrails that are hiding the sun and everything
- 8:44else. That's for a whole nother podcast, a whole nother show.
- 8:48But everyone, please enjoy life.
- 8:52Keep smiling, even struggling through the tough times. Lean on the people that matter to you the most.
- 8:59My name is Gary Dean. I appreciate everybody joining us.
- 9:04I'm going to bring aboard our favorite, our cosmic fairy princess,
- 9:08Lizzie. Let's bring her in.
- 9:13All right, Lizzie, you have the spotlight. It's all you.
- 9:21Okay, thank you very much. And I thank you very much for sharing your thoughts.
- 9:26I did write mine today, but no promise that I'm going to write mine next time.
- 9:30Sometimes it is just fun to kind of speak straight from the heart,
- 9:33but today I wanted to be a little bit more specific.
- 9:41I find that sometimes the most magical time for me is the time in which I can't
- 9:45write or explain myself.
- 9:48It's like my brain is a swirling pool of definitions, ideas,
- 9:51conspiracy theories, goals, new facts, old facts, added data of other people's
- 9:56perceptions, and the feelings that each of these leave in my body.
- 10:00If I attach to one, I'll make sense of it, but I find that sense made in this
- 10:05phase is never the most sensical in the long run.
- 10:10I used to define this feeling as writer's block, as still learning, and sometimes it is, but,
- 10:17I'm also in a state of redefining something that I don't even yet know how to
- 10:22speak, and for me, I find it most beneficial to not rush this process,
- 10:26even when the time it takes ends up being inconvenient.
- 10:30The relationship that you have to words builds the experience around you,
- 10:35and how you define a word or concept is how it engages with you.
- 10:39And the difference in how two people relate to something can be the difference
- 10:43between a solution and a compromise.
- 10:46Next time you're triggered by a word someone you care about says,
- 10:49try googling the definition together and see if you both were actually using
- 10:53the word in the same way, because often we aren't.
- 10:57When we're young, we have definitions kind of rapid-fired at us,
- 11:01sometimes from the dictionary in school and sometimes just from the people around
- 11:05us as they explain a mystery word that they came up in a movie or book.
- 11:09And who knows actually if they remembered that definition correctly,
- 11:13but you can still take it on and use that word forevermore in that way.
- 11:18As time goes on, our memory changes and sometimes the definitions we have for
- 11:22a word evolves and blends with other words.
- 11:24And we don't even notice because apparently when the right side of your brain,
- 11:28which is your fact checker, doesn't know something, your left side just makes
- 11:33it up, your storyteller. It'll look it up as a fact.
- 11:37But okay, so back to the relationship to the word itself.
- 11:41Healing, for example. If you define this as restoration to its original form,
- 11:47or is it the removal of damage? Is it the expansion of health?
- 11:51Is it the removal of discomfort or disease?
- 11:54Is it moving into an environment and conditions that sustains you.
- 11:59Discomfort. Something to move away from. Something to push through. Something to allow.
- 12:04A message. A punishment. Something to overcome. Something to fix.
- 12:08An invitation to expand.
- 12:11What you define it as in that moment is what your energy system will orient around.
- 12:17Healing as restoration of what is lost or broken focuses around returning to what once was.
- 12:24Healing as moving into an environment or condition that sustains or supports
- 12:28you implies moving forward.
- 12:31The distinction is small, but it can be the difference between trying to reconnect
- 12:36to your inner child as a way to get back what was lost or a way to gain what
- 12:41hasn't yet been picked up.
- 12:44One wraps reality around a wound. Another wraps reality around a new idea.
- 12:49And these are completely different energy signatures and will produce entirely different results.
- 12:54And this is true only because I said so. Does this all make sense yet?
- 13:00What's important is which is better in the moment for you.
- 13:04Knowing what you are actually trying to do can make it possible for you to do it.
- 13:10Sometimes it simply takes the time to really think out what you think,
- 13:15what you expect, and what you know, and maybe give space for those to change a little.
- 13:22Defining something before you gave it space to show you what it wants to be
- 13:26limits it by what you already, quote, know, not what you are learning.
- 13:31Sometimes we ask for these big life-changing quantum jumps, but then we refuse
- 13:35the redefinition it requires.
- 13:38The thing is, is if you thought like the version of you that you are aiming
- 13:42to become, you'd already be there and live that life. You already like do it,
- 13:47right? You wouldn't even be thinking about it.
- 13:49The action, the ideas, the world all comes from how you defined it before you even built it.
- 13:55It shifts as you shift the relationship to it, but sometimes the entire thing
- 14:00needs to be rebuilt. And sometimes that requires you to take the time to swim in the possibility.
- 14:06It actually has no defined definition except the one that serves you best.
- 14:11So what's going to serve you best?
- 14:16Money is earned. Money is a form of resource and can be exchanged.
- 14:21Money is security. Money is one form of abundance. Money isn't real. Money is a frequency.
- 14:27Money is a result of my hard work. Money is a result of my access to abundance.
- 14:33Doesn't matter. How did it respond to your body? What did it make you feel?
- 14:39Something I have long been frustrated with is the way that I would have to circle
- 14:44back to the same topic, seemingly healing a new layer.
- 14:48Which is accurate, but also what I was doing was redefining something as I had more information.
- 14:54I was rewriting the story. You know, the story that is only factual because
- 14:58that is how the definitions in your soul experienced it.
- 15:03As I changed the definition today, I changed the quantum tide to the experience
- 15:06of the past and what flavor comes in from the future.
- 15:10And this will ripple out to redefine a lot of things in your life if you allow
- 15:14space for it to be everything, nothingness for a minute.
- 15:21There's a song that I find a lot of hidden meaning in it. It's called Heaven's
- 15:25Gate by Amelia Farron, and I may slightly be obsessed with this song for the last little while.
- 15:31She says in it, one of the things is, I didn't realize nettle stung and apples weren't all white.
- 15:37And this made me pause because nettle is used for protection,
- 15:41which is something super important for every new witch or energetically minded
- 15:46person to learn as a very vital step moving forward in the world.
- 15:52But also, eventually, many people unfold to a place where the need to protect
- 15:57ends up feeling a little bit more like self-sabotage than a necessary action.
- 16:02When safety becomes assumed, instead of demanded, protection limits what comes
- 16:07in, and only good was coming in, So sometimes maybe nettles do sting.
- 16:12And apples are about healing and white being pure or whole. Apples aren't all
- 16:17white because not all wisdom brings wholeness to you.
- 16:21And only you know what is pure or whole for your soul.
- 16:26As a definition of changes of a word, an event, a person, an idea,
- 16:31a hope, the relation to it changes, the energy fueling it changes,
- 16:35the inspired action and the glimmered emotions change.
- 16:39What can be overwhelming can also be an abundance of options.
- 16:43What can be disappointing can actually be revealing or empowering.
- 16:47What hurts can be an invitation to move or an invitation to let go or an invitation
- 16:52to invite another into your understanding.
- 16:55What blocks can be an invitation to pause and redefine can also be a redirection,
- 17:00and it can also be an Easter egg you were hoping to find.
- 17:03There's no perfect definition or set of rules to live by.
- 17:06There's just how you are defining something, how you are engaging with something,
- 17:10and if that is working for you or not.
- 17:13Back to comparing definitions on Google when you're in a moment of tension with a person.
- 17:18It can also be really helpful to ask questions that have a little less solid definitions.
- 17:24What does a good person look like? What does love feel like?
- 17:28What does trust taste like? What does space function like?
- 17:31What does rest mean to you? Professionalism, consideration, support?
- 17:36Like write it down together. Really, really ramble about it.
- 17:39You might be surprised how many, quote, shadows exist in your definitions,
- 17:43even though you already, quote, healed them.
- 17:45When you write faster, then your spiritual ego can retranslate it.
- 17:50You may be surprised how many obvious solutions appear when you understand the
- 17:54rules the other person is operating under, when you understand the rules that
- 17:59you are operating under.
- 18:00Maybe the tension doesn't have to be a problem. Maybe it can be an awareness
- 18:05of where your definitions and rules are creating friction in how your realities
- 18:09are operating with each other.
- 18:11And usually you both hold important pieces to what the most wholesome,
- 18:15coherent, and enjoyable answer to the both of you is.
- 18:18It's rarely what was decided, it's what you decided it to be,
- 18:22and how well they intermingle with all that's involved.
- 18:29When compromise means we both lose a little, you always lose.
- 18:32And when compromise means we both felt understood, supported,
- 18:36and got what we needed, you always win.
- 18:39Sometimes our definitions is the best we're going to come up with for now.
- 18:42It is what serves us best until it doesn't, until we know more.
- 18:46If you shame yourself for not, quote, getting it right the first time,
- 18:50then you just wrapped redefining things into shame. So there's a great place
- 18:54to start with your definitions.
- 18:57Redefine and tell your heart's content like seriously and swim in the void of
- 19:02everything nothingness and tell your heart's content like god damn it if your
- 19:06heart is not content inspired,
- 19:08and overjoyed redefine your definitions in life before you try rewriting your
- 19:13story or healing your past or moving forward or making new connections,
- 19:18your words create your reality but what they mean gives you the materials that
- 19:22you use it sets your intentions your expectations It gives it shape,
- 19:26gives it function, it gives it life.
- 19:29Thank you for listening to me today.
- 19:34Well, I got to tell you, I literally have chills from that one.
- 19:38Thank you so much, Lizzie. That was beautiful.
- 19:42And you gave me a new idea that I might start writing down my things because
- 19:46it really played out beautifully.
- 19:49Well, thank you again. So you're very welcome. So we're going to put Lizzie
- 19:53back into the green room, and now I want to tell everybody that...
- 19:58I don't know if I'm on camera.
- 20:01I want everybody to know that we have another minister.
- 20:05I know we've had Elaine on here, but we also have Halos Phoenix.
- 20:10And Halos, I know, is going to give us another wonderful, beautiful,
- 20:15chilling goosebump kind of sermon.
- 20:19I know I'm expecting a lot from her, but I'm not putting the pressure on her.
- 20:23I want everybody to welcome on board Halos Phoenix. Let's bring her in.
- 20:28And Halos, the spotlight is all on you.
- 20:31Awesome. Thank you for having me here today. Okay.
- 20:36Yeah, you guys gave great sermons.
- 20:38Very lovely to listen to. And today what's been coming through for me is.
- 20:44Really, I think the last time that we had our podcast, we kind of talked about
- 20:48human emotions and like just giving respect to the darkness as beings of light
- 20:54that we typically associate with being in spirituality.
- 20:59And what I notice very often kind of goes along with what Gary your sermon was about victim mentality,
- 21:07and it's interesting because I really think the darkness is meant to push us
- 21:11forward it's meant to propel us into something better and,
- 21:15a lot of times though people get so stuck in it I notice people talking about
- 21:19all the issues in the world like oh there's this issue and there's this issue
- 21:22and I can't be happy because these people over here are suffering and the government's
- 21:27lying to us and they're putting poison in our food.
- 21:29I'm like, okay, yeah, that's great that you're aware of that,
- 21:32but what are you doing with that information? Because continuing to focus on
- 21:35something isn't going to change it.
- 21:38There needs to be action in order to create that change.
- 21:41And so what came to me was the law of dharma.
- 21:44And the law of dharma is.
- 21:49It is a Buddhist belief that when you are in alignment with your soul's purpose,
- 21:54you are acting in dharma.
- 21:56And why it's so important is because when you are in alignment with your dharma,
- 22:02then you are living the life that is going to create a positive change in the world.
- 22:07And what this means is that everyone comes here for a specific reason.
- 22:12And I think that the reason people are in victim mentality to begin with is
- 22:15because they're unaware of the power that we have.
- 22:18And everyone has a certain amount of power, not even a certain amount of power,
- 22:22limitless amounts of power because we are connected to source. We are source.
- 22:28And in order to come to this.
- 22:34Action of living in dharma, we have to realize that there are these four levels of consciousness.
- 22:41The first one, the lowest one, being victim mentality, which is saying,
- 22:45I can't do anything, everything's happening to me, and I have no power.
- 22:50And the one above that is when you feel like you have to control everything,
- 22:54when you won't allow help from others, when you feel like you have to override all this external.
- 23:03Assistance because you feel that you have to do it on your own the one above that is co-creation so
- 23:10when you're in co-creation with the universe which is what a lot of people talk
- 23:13about it's a great thing it's a beautiful thing and we do need to be in co-creation
- 23:17with the universe but then they're the so the one above that which is allowing
- 23:21the universe to happen through you and so you're not trying to
- 23:24necessarily create anything or do anything you're in a simple state of being.
- 23:29You're in the state of being in alignment with your soul's purpose,
- 23:32with your dharma, through coming to know yourself.
- 23:35And what that means is that you are taking the time every day,
- 23:41or maybe it's not every day, but you're just taking a significant amount of
- 23:45time to get to know yourself.
- 23:46And whether that's five minutes in the morning of meditation and simply tuning
- 23:50in with yourself and with your body,
- 23:52then you are able to move past these lower states of consciousness of feeling
- 23:57like things are happening to you or feeling like you have to control everything
- 24:01or do everything and then you're coming to this heightened state of
- 24:05oh that's not who I am and you can observe these thoughts from a different perspective
- 24:10and then reshape them to then help you create the reality that we're all here
- 24:14to create because yes there are so many things that are terrible in the world
- 24:19but what we do about that is what's going to create the reality that needs to
- 24:23come into to any existence.
- 24:29With that being said,
- 24:32I've just found it to be so important for me to just like really get to know myself.
- 24:41And I think it's funny because, you know, a couple of years ago,
- 24:44I would not ever think that I am where I am.
- 24:47I'm in school for child development and wanting to help all these people.
- 24:51And I remember my therapist saying, you should be a therapist.
- 24:54I was like, that sounds terrible. I will never do that. I don't want to help
- 24:57people. I can barely help myself.
- 25:00And now I'm like, oh my gosh, that's what I want to do. And I really had to move past those,
- 25:06layers of shame and victim mentality and coming into my true power and seeing
- 25:12that I can do what I want to do.
- 25:15And because I know myself, I know what I want to do.
- 25:18And it can be very difficult to know yourself when you're constantly being told
- 25:22who you are at a very young age.
- 25:23We're programmed to believe all of these things about ourselves that aren't
- 25:27true so it's very important to come to know yourself and just spend time with
- 25:32yourself observing your thoughts get um get acquainted with self-awareness and,
- 25:39just observing everything that you tell yourself that you are and realizing
- 25:45what you can let go of and then what you can bring in who are you really and
- 25:50what change are you here to make,
- 25:53okay that is my sermon thank you so much for listening.
- 25:58Halos, we really appreciate it. Thank you so much. That too was so beautiful.
- 26:03I love how you put those words together. Lizzie as well.
- 26:07I want to thank Halos. I want to thank Lizzie.
