- 0:43Speaker 1: the most played songs in the history of music, and
- 0:47Speaker 1: the day the music died is today, February third, nineteen
- 0:53Speaker 1: fifty nine. Richie Valence was seventeen, Buddy Holly was twenty two,
- 1:02Speaker 1: The Big Bopper was twenty eight, and pilot Roger Peterson
- 1:06Speaker 1: went down in a cornfield out of clear Lake, Iowa
- 1:10Speaker 1: in a bad snowstorm as they were trying to get
- 1:14Speaker 1: to their next gig on the Winter Party Dance tour.
- 1:21Speaker 1: It was a day the music died. Glad to have
- 1:25Speaker 1: you with us here on this Tuesday. It is February third.
- 1:30Speaker 1: This portion of the program is brought to you by
- 1:34Speaker 1: Radiant Dentistry. We have slapped together a show for you today.
- 1:38Speaker 1: That's why we're here. We're gonna hear from Bucky, We're
- 1:42Speaker 1: gonna hear from Rashawn Age and Rylan Griffin. We've got
- 1:46Speaker 1: a high school report. Mallory is here. We have got
- 1:50Speaker 1: a lot to catch up on on the entertainment side,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and something a little different. In the second hour, I'm
- 1:59Speaker 1: going to replay an interview that I did fourteen years
- 2:03Speaker 1: ago that I happen to find going around some Super
- 2:07Speaker 1: Bowl stuff. This is with an admin out of Atlanta,
- 2:13Speaker 1: and it's so interesting to talk to hear about what
- 2:20Speaker 1: national businesses were planning to do to promote themselves on
- 2:26Speaker 1: Super Bowl Sunday with the advertising they did, and talk
- 2:31Speaker 1: about well, we're just beginning to think that maybe we
- 2:34Speaker 1: can use this social media thing to help us advertise.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So that's coming up as well. We've got SEC basketball tonight. Tennessee,
- 2:51Speaker 1: which is beginning to play some pretty good basketball, is
- 2:54Speaker 1: hosting Ole Miss South Carolina is at Texas tomorrow night.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Of course, the Aggies are in Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's a fairly large game in its own right. Also tonight,
- 3:19Speaker 1: number four Duke is an Action. Yukon is an Action
- 3:22Speaker 1: hosting Xavier Miami of Ohio one up two remaining undefeated
- 3:27Speaker 1: D one teams taking on Buffalo. Last night, Darren Peterson,
- 3:36Speaker 1: who hasn't completed a full game all year, played thirty
- 3:42Speaker 1: five minutes and won the game for Kansas in Lubbock
- 3:48Speaker 1: against Texas Tech with a tying three point shot with
- 3:52Speaker 1: a minute twenty left. Thirty seconds later, he hit the
- 3:57Speaker 1: winning three point shot sixty four to sixty one. The
- 4:05Speaker 1: Jayhawks go on a fourteen to two run to close
- 4:10Speaker 1: out that game and knock off the Red Raiders. If
- 4:15Speaker 1: you thought we had to wait a long time for
- 4:18Speaker 1: the National Championship of college football to be decided, wait
- 4:24Speaker 1: till next year. The dates have been released. First game
- 4:30Speaker 1: December thirtieth. That's a Wednesday evening. Kind of random. That's
- 4:35Speaker 1: the Fiesta Bowl. Three bowl games on Friday, January first.
- 4:41Speaker 1: These are the quarterfinals, Cotton Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl.
- 4:48Speaker 1: The semifinals are two weeks later January fourteenth in the
- 4:55Speaker 1: Orange Bowl January fifteenth in the Sugar Bowl. The championship
- 5:01Speaker 1: game is ten days after that, on the twenty fifth
- 5:07Speaker 1: of January. So we're waiting between December the thirtieth and
- 5:13Speaker 1: January the twenty fifth to crown a champion. It's not right.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm telling you it's not right. I can fix it
- 5:26Speaker 1: if they'd let me. Lindsey Vaughn said today she is
- 5:31Speaker 1: going to compete in the Olympics in Milan, and she
- 5:35Speaker 1: says she'll do it with a torn acl which she
- 5:40Speaker 1: suffered in a crash last week. This is not obviously
- 5:44Speaker 1: what I'd hoped for, she said. I've been working really
- 5:48Speaker 1: hard to come into these games in a much different position.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I know what my chances were before the crash. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: know my chances aren't the same as it stands today,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but I know there's a chance. Ants as long as
- 6:01Speaker 1: there's a chance, I will try. Lindsey Vaughan is forty
- 6:07Speaker 1: one Aggie baseball players name to Baseball America's preseason All
- 6:16Speaker 1: American Team. Gavin Grohovic and Caden Serell Second Team, Chris
- 6:24Speaker 1: Hacopian and Shane Sedeo Third Team, Aggie Baseball is going
- 6:31Speaker 1: to be well featured on television this spring. Nine nationally
- 6:37Speaker 1: televised games as of right now, one on ESPN that'll
- 6:44Speaker 1: be LSU game at LSU. In fact, all three LSU
- 6:50Speaker 1: games will be televised home game against Georgia March twenty second,
- 6:58Speaker 1: two home games again in Texas April tenth, April eleventh,
- 7:04Speaker 1: the three at LSU, one at Florida, one home to Auburn,
- 7:10Speaker 1: one at Ole Miss. All of those games scheduled for TV.
- 7:18Speaker 1: The rate of the rise of Major League Baseball salaries
- 7:25Speaker 1: has slowed. Don't think that won't be brought up during
- 7:31Speaker 1: the negotiations, which are expected to be long and difficult.
- 7:38Speaker 1: MLB player salaries decreased four years in a row through
- 7:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. One of those was the COVID year
- 7:46Speaker 1: fourteen point eight percent increase in twenty twenty two, seven
- 7:51Speaker 1: percent in twenty three, two point nine percent in twenty
- 7:55Speaker 1: twenty four, and by golly, the play player's average salary
- 8:01Speaker 1: increased only one point four percent this last year. The
- 8:07Speaker 1: average Major League Baseball player salary four million, seven hundred
- 8:14Speaker 1: and twenty one thousand, three hundred and ninety three dollars
- 8:17Speaker 1: I don't know how you expect people to live on
- 8:21Speaker 1: that kind of income. Darting their impossible. But major League
- 8:27Speaker 1: attendance is on the rise. Seventeen of the thirty teams
- 8:32Speaker 1: were better than last year. Eleven teams averaged more than
- 8:37Speaker 1: one thousand fans a game, the Blue Jays two thousand
- 8:41Speaker 1: a game, the Giants three thousand a game, the Tigers
- 8:45Speaker 1: nearly seven thousand a game. All in all, seventy one
- 8:48Speaker 1: million fans watched major League baseball. Third straight year attendance
- 8:56Speaker 1: has increased, and the highest since seventeen. That's a good thing.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And the Official World Golf Rankings will award World Ranking
- 9:07Speaker 1: points to the top ten finishers of live golf events
- 9:11Speaker 1: for the first time. They're negotiating. Live golf will be
- 9:15Speaker 1: ranked quote as small tournament fields with point distribution cutoff.
- 9:23Speaker 1: In other words, the winner in Saudi Arabia this week
- 9:27Speaker 1: will earn twenty three World Ranking points. That's less than
- 9:33Speaker 1: half what PGA winners will receive. By the way, the
- 9:41Speaker 1: PGA is in Arizona this week, you know that the
- 9:45Speaker 1: Phoenix Open, where there will be over one hundred thousand
- 9:48Speaker 1: people every day, and if you follow the social media,
- 9:55Speaker 1: there's already some incredible video of people that are so
- 10:01Speaker 1: drunk they literally cannot stand up. But the thing at
- 10:07Speaker 1: the Phoenix Waste Management Open is they don't discriminate male
- 10:12Speaker 1: and female, young and old, people of all backgrounds are
- 10:18Speaker 1: all drinking a lot of beer. And first round is
- 10:26Speaker 1: on Thursday? Is is it? The sixty told us the
- 10:31Speaker 1: Part three tray? Is that the is that the big
- 10:36Speaker 1: stadium thing where they put like fifty thousand people in
- 10:38Speaker 1: their I know Chelsea went to that one year. Uh
- 10:45Speaker 1: and people yeah what sixteenth? Yeah, the Part three and
- 10:50Speaker 1: they they're seating for twenty thousand. Yeah, it's it's a scene, man.
- 10:57Speaker 1: All Right, we got to take a break. Scott clin
- 11:02Speaker 1: Vienna will be with us on the show tomorrow Thursday.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We'll have our Clark Eisenhower Outdoor Edition. We have got
- 11:12Speaker 1: a lot to catch up on. It's been a couple
- 11:15Speaker 1: of weeks, so we'll we'll have that for you. Coming up,
- 11:20Speaker 1: We've got a high school report. We're gonna hear from
- 11:22Speaker 1: Riley Griffin, Rashan ag. We're gonna hear from Bucky Mallory.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Is here all of that after this for Chad Jones Law.
- 11:32Speaker 4: I'm Chad Jones. We know sports injuries hurt, and so
- 11:35Speaker 4: do injuries from car rex. But you didn't sign up
- 11:38Speaker 4: to being a car wreck with someone who wasn't paying attention.
- 11:41Speaker 4: It was their fault and now you're left to deal
- 11:43Speaker 4: with the consequences. You need to see a doctor and
- 11:45Speaker 4: you're missing work. Chad Jones Law can help. We've been
- 11:47Speaker 4: helping our neighbors for more than two decades. Stop getting
- 11:50Speaker 4: frustrated with the other side's foot dragging. Remember, don't get mad.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Get Chad. Call Chad Jones Law at ninety seven nine
- 11:57Speaker 4: five to ninety five five thousand, or go online to
- 12:00Speaker 4: Chad Jones Law dot com.
- 12:02Speaker 5: The Louis Bellina Show presented by CC Electric five teams.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You think is a lot for Omaha.
- 12:08Speaker 6: I like LSU a lot. I like Arkansas a lot.
- 12:11Speaker 6: Missisippi State's one of the most fascinating teams this year
- 12:14Speaker 6: because you know they've struggled in recent years. They bring
- 12:16Speaker 6: in Brian O'Connor from Virginia. He brings a lot of
- 12:19Speaker 6: guys with him from Virginia into and kept a lot
- 12:22Speaker 6: of their top players, so they're loaded as well. So
- 12:25Speaker 6: I like Missisippi State.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Hang out with Louis week days eleven to two on
- 12:28Speaker 5: the Zon eleven and fifty am and ninety three point
- 12:31Speaker 5: seven FM.
- 12:35Speaker 7: Hello babe, Yeah, this is a big mobla speaking.
- 12:44Speaker 8: Ah you sweet mine, do.
- 12:48Speaker 9: I want will what? Oh? You know what I like?
- 12:58Speaker 7: Shantily He's had a body face and a pony tail
- 13:03Speaker 7: hanging down weiglea. Let the wall pan of gig golea.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Let the talk me the world go around at nothing
- 13:11Speaker 7: in the world like a big eyed girl, and make
- 13:13Speaker 7: me act so funny, makes me spend my money, makes
- 13:16Speaker 7: me feel real loose like a long deck goose like
- 13:19Speaker 7: a girl.
- 13:19Speaker 9: Oh maybe that's what I like?
- 13:23Speaker 10: What's that?
- 13:23Speaker 9: Baby?
- 13:26Speaker 4: But but but.
- 13:31Speaker 9: Oh honey, oh baby, you know what I like?
- 13:43Speaker 7: Shatilly LEAs had a birdy pace out upon the tail
- 13:48Speaker 7: hanging down a wiggle letting the walkpan of bigglea. Let
- 13:51Speaker 7: the talk lost me the world go round round around,
- 13:55Speaker 7: I ate anothering in the world like a big eye girl, and.
- 13:58Speaker 9: Make me act so funny.
- 13:59Speaker 7: Makes me man my honey, make these back alone.
- 14:03Speaker 11: Maxcu's locker girl.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Oh man, what I like? That's the big bopping from
- 14:11Speaker 1: the building. Triangularia one of four people to lose his
- 14:16Speaker 1: life in the day the music died, which we are
- 14:21Speaker 1: not celebrating, but just recognizing today in nineteen fifty nine.
- 14:29Speaker 1: M Oh, we've got to play some Buddy Holly. I
- 14:32Speaker 1: don't know what I was thinking, Trey. So we'll get
- 14:35Speaker 1: some some songs racked up from Buddy Holly from Lubboock, Texas.
- 14:39Speaker 1: They got a statue of Buddy Holly in Lubbock, Texas.
- 14:42Speaker 1: All right. As I mentioned tomorrow night, the I think
- 14:50Speaker 1: the national basketball media have their eyes on this game
- 14:58Speaker 1: because I'm not sure I know what to do with
- 15:00Speaker 1: Texas A and M yet, despite the fact that the
- 15:04Speaker 1: Aggies are seven to one leading the league. Yeah but
- 15:07Speaker 1: they have it. Yeah but they have you know, forget that.
- 15:14Speaker 1: But they're going into Alabama tomorrow. Everybody knows Alabama is
- 15:17Speaker 1: a good team. But Alabama's lost a couple of home
- 15:22Speaker 1: games this year, which unusual. Alabama is not as good
- 15:27Speaker 1: as they've been the last three or four years period.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Tennessee is not as good as they've been the last
- 15:35Speaker 1: three or four years. Kentucky probably not as good as
- 15:43Speaker 1: they've been the last three.
- 15:45Speaker 11: Or four years.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Conference up for grabs, So big game tomorrow night. Let's
- 15:55Speaker 1: hear from Bucky Well.
- 16:00Speaker 12: As a guy from Alabama who's son of to Alabama grads.
- 16:04Speaker 12: What's what's it going to be like for you getting
- 16:06Speaker 12: to go play in that game and base Alabama?
- 16:10Speaker 8: You know, just another SEC game.
- 16:11Speaker 13: They've been good and you know, always good to get
- 16:15Speaker 13: a chance to go see a lot of people, you know,
- 16:17Speaker 13: just like when we were at Auburn. Hopefully they have
- 16:19Speaker 13: the same results as Auburn. That's what that's what you're
- 16:22Speaker 13: after is just to play well and let it fall
- 16:24Speaker 13: where it may send a lot of games in there.
- 16:27Speaker 13: Watch Alabama play a lot just like most SEC teams.
- 16:30Speaker 13: Good team didn't play their best game last game. Sure
- 16:33Speaker 13: they'll come out playing playing tough and ready to.
- 16:36Speaker 8: Right some of the wrongs in this game. So what
- 16:39Speaker 8: to play a good game?
- 16:39Speaker 10: We know that you know, as the coach that is
- 16:42Speaker 10: well aware of the metrics and analytics and stuff like that.
- 16:45Speaker 10: Now that you guys are start making some national attention
- 16:47Speaker 10: as far as full how much stock do you put
- 16:49Speaker 10: into that, how much you.
- 16:49Speaker 13: Can it doesn't matter at all, honestly, Like and because
- 16:54Speaker 13: the INS Tournament committee doesn't care about it, right, you
- 16:57Speaker 13: know you'll see people that will be you know, I
- 16:59Speaker 13: mean the team in there now that's ranked, and if
- 17:03Speaker 13: they had to come out of the nca Tournament brackets tomorrow,
- 17:07Speaker 13: they wouldn't make the field, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:09Speaker 8: Like, so, it's just that's just how it is.
- 17:12Speaker 13: I would put stock in the rankings if the NSA
- 17:14Speaker 13: Tournament committee cared about cared about it, you know. So
- 17:18Speaker 13: you know, all you can do is folks playing your
- 17:20Speaker 13: best basketball. If you play well in this league, you're
- 17:23Speaker 13: gonna end up putting yourself in a great chance to
- 17:26Speaker 13: have a to be an NSA tournament and to obviously
- 17:29Speaker 13: get the best seed possible.
- 17:30Speaker 8: And that's what you're after.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 17:31Speaker 10: The circumstances are very different, but kind of interesting that
- 17:34Speaker 10: you might have for Shaun on Chris Biaco and that
- 17:37Speaker 10: both guys needed to wait be able to get into
- 17:39Speaker 10: the season, just kind of the state of where college
- 17:42Speaker 10: sports are right now.
- 17:43Speaker 13: Yeah, yes, it's different, I mean to two very different
- 17:46Speaker 13: circumstances obviously, but.
- 17:50Speaker 8: You know, I mean is what it is.
- 17:52Speaker 13: We we got to uh, you know, we got to
- 17:55Speaker 13: block out the noise whatever people think about any of
- 17:59Speaker 13: their players that are play or not play, and it
- 18:01Speaker 13: doesn't impact our team. Our team's got to be about
- 18:03Speaker 13: us playing the best we can play. Whoever they line
- 18:06Speaker 13: up across RUMs to who they line up across from us.
- 18:08Speaker 8: I think that when we play well, we've done well.
- 18:11Speaker 13: So I don't want to get to consume with their
- 18:13Speaker 13: good players and what they got as much as I
- 18:16Speaker 13: care about our good players playing their best basketball.
- 18:19Speaker 8: What's playing the best look like on Wednesday?
- 18:21Speaker 11: I'm sorry? Was that?
- 18:22Speaker 8: What does playing the best look like on Wednesday? Got
- 18:25Speaker 8: to play good defense?
- 18:26Speaker 13: You know, you just can't let them get wherever they want.
- 18:28Speaker 13: They can't get scored one twos, in threes on you.
- 18:30Speaker 8: You know you're gonna.
- 18:32Speaker 13: Have to be able to guard them one on one
- 18:35Speaker 13: the best you can. Their high powered offense. They play
- 18:37Speaker 13: well at home, and they can obviously.
- 18:41Speaker 8: Get to the pain.
- 18:42Speaker 13: They can make threes as well, so you have to
- 18:44Speaker 13: do a good job of controlling the dribble.
- 18:45Speaker 8: So they're just not getting everything.
- 18:48Speaker 14: But we've talked before about like some of y'all's limitations.
- 18:52Speaker 14: You know that the size of the height. I think
- 18:55Speaker 14: if you said you're not the most athletic ten, and
- 18:58Speaker 14: yet y'all keep wainning, is it a.
- 19:03Speaker 8: Greater asset that or do you do you each plan.
- 19:06Speaker 8: Am I saying that that your.
- 19:07Speaker 14: Guys understand their holding tastes or maybe do they just
- 19:11Speaker 14: don't know they have one of things?
- 19:13Speaker 8: Well, that's a good question.
- 19:14Speaker 13: I would say that that most importantly they that they
- 19:18Speaker 13: I said in the reverse, they know what their strengths are.
- 19:21Speaker 13: That's probably the best way to say it. They recognize
- 19:24Speaker 13: where we are strong and we play to that, and
- 19:27Speaker 13: the players play to that, right, which is we have depth.
- 19:30Speaker 13: We can shoot it, we share the ball, and we
- 19:32Speaker 13: can spread the floor. And because we have depth, we
- 19:34Speaker 13: can play a full court game on both ends of
- 19:36Speaker 13: the floor.
- 19:36Speaker 8: And if we are smaller, we got to be tenacious,
- 19:40Speaker 8: right and you know we.
- 19:43Speaker 13: Got to you know, keep people out of the paint
- 19:45Speaker 13: the best we can and we got.
- 19:46Speaker 8: A game rebound.
- 19:47Speaker 15: Is that depth your greatest asset of this scene?
- 19:50Speaker 8: Quality? Depth? Quality? Depth?
- 19:54Speaker 13: And then I would say, even though there are a
- 19:57Speaker 13: lot of new guys, we are older, so you know
- 19:59Speaker 13: they have seen things, are mature. And then when you
- 20:03Speaker 13: can space the floor, we lead the We lead the
- 20:05Speaker 13: SEC and three point percentage in SEC play, which is
- 20:08Speaker 13: obviously a game changer because it spreads the floor. So
- 20:10Speaker 13: if you're small and can't shoot, you're in real trouble.
- 20:13Speaker 10: Was there a point in the season when the team
- 20:15Speaker 10: kind of had to learn that with the pace that
- 20:17Speaker 10: y'all play, that some kinds of leads weren't necessarily as
- 20:22Speaker 10: safe as they normally would be. And is that something
- 20:24Speaker 10: that they brought into that Georgia game and we were
- 20:26Speaker 10: able to withstand them coming.
- 20:28Speaker 8: Back in that?
- 20:29Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 20:29Speaker 13: I mean I think that, you know, the longer you're
- 20:31Speaker 13: in something, you realize that we play more like an
- 20:33Speaker 13: NBA team in high volume threes and so the variance
- 20:37Speaker 13: is really high, and then we are obviously a pressure team,
- 20:39Speaker 13: so thet variance is high. Most importantly, I think he
- 20:42Speaker 13: learned that the like you got to be able to
- 20:46Speaker 13: be in such great shape to play hard for forty
- 20:48Speaker 13: minutes the way that we play, and I don't think
- 20:51Speaker 13: that we were in the shape that you only can
- 20:53Speaker 13: really get to playing multiple games after game that you
- 20:56Speaker 13: can play for forty minutes, you know, at that level
- 21:00Speaker 13: of intensity. And so, irrespective of anything, I think that
- 21:05Speaker 13: you're not seeing us weaken late in these games. We're
- 21:07Speaker 13: getting stronger late in these games now against a team
- 21:10Speaker 13: like Alabama who plays just as high erants offense and
- 21:13Speaker 13: they got a great offense. Uh, you know, you could
- 21:16Speaker 13: see swings. You know, it wouldn't be anything for someone
- 21:18Speaker 13: to be up by ten and down by twenty. You know,
- 21:21Speaker 13: that wouldn't be anything in this game. It's just just
- 21:23Speaker 13: the way that it is, you know.
- 21:26Speaker 12: I feel like I saw a recent radio interview in
- 21:28Speaker 12: Alabama Mark Gotfrey, and he said he tried to recruit
- 21:31Speaker 12: you to Alabama for your last season of college.
- 21:33Speaker 8: Just is that true?
- 21:34Speaker 12: And so how close were you to choosing that route
- 21:37Speaker 12: and instead of going to Menickbrook.
- 21:39Speaker 8: Yeah, it was clear. It was interesting.
- 21:41Speaker 13: I like coach Godfrey, I was probably going to go
- 21:45Speaker 13: if I went somewhere to back to mid major because
- 21:47Speaker 13: I was there, I was recruited as a backup guard.
- 21:51Speaker 13: I had an opportunity to go to some other place
- 21:53Speaker 13: had power fives obviously of Alabama, Michigan, Southern Cals, those
- 21:57Speaker 13: kind of schools, and then I had, you know know
- 22:00Speaker 13: more the level I put in the Big South, and
- 22:03Speaker 13: I had other schools at that level where probably would
- 22:05Speaker 13: have finished my last year playing a ton of minutes.
- 22:07Speaker 13: But if I went to a power five school, I
- 22:09Speaker 13: would have gone to Alabama.
- 22:10Speaker 8: Yeah, I've heard.
- 22:13Speaker 12: I was just going to ask, you know what, what
- 22:16Speaker 12: led you to choose to just go straight to coaching
- 22:18Speaker 12: and you feel like that ended up being the right decision.
- 22:20Speaker 8: Yeah, So it's a wild, wild deal how it all
- 22:23Speaker 8: shook down.
- 22:23Speaker 13: So we were kind of the first air of the
- 22:24Speaker 13: transfer portal and you had the option pretty much. We
- 22:29Speaker 13: were the first to kind of get that year to
- 22:31Speaker 13: see what happened and wasn't transfer portal just based on
- 22:33Speaker 13: the school from Division one change our last year, we
- 22:37Speaker 13: were very good. We're co conference champs right there, regular
- 22:39Speaker 13: season in our run there. Then the new president came
- 22:43Speaker 13: in when to change the school up, and so because
- 22:46Speaker 13: of that we got a free transfer who wanted to
- 22:48Speaker 13: take it. Nobody was doing that back then, so it
- 22:50Speaker 13: wasn't like now where you go into a scenario where
- 22:53Speaker 13: you got, like this year, twelve of the transfers, you're
- 22:56Speaker 13: the one guy. And so the decision was do I
- 22:59Speaker 13: want to go do that or to go play pro ball?
- 23:01Speaker 8: You know, and I wouldn't been a high level guy,
- 23:02Speaker 8: but you know, go.
- 23:03Speaker 13: Play pro ball somewhere overseas somewhere, or go get into coaching.
- 23:08Speaker 13: And so I had one more year left and it
- 23:09Speaker 13: is a tough decision and my mindset what kind of
- 23:12Speaker 13: was I can always say I want one more year.
- 23:14Speaker 13: If I went to play pro ball in Iceland, I
- 23:16Speaker 13: could say, let's go play one more year over here,
- 23:18Speaker 13: then one more year over here, then.
- 23:20Speaker 8: One more I'd come back here.
- 23:21Speaker 13: I'm thirty seven years old, and so I was like,
- 23:24Speaker 13: you know, this could be my chance right now to
- 23:25Speaker 13: get into coaching. And then I got into coaching and
- 23:27Speaker 13: everything led to here. So it's just in funny how
- 23:32Speaker 13: life works in it.
- 23:34Speaker 14: But you hear, uh, I've read people say since since
- 23:38Speaker 14: we found out you were being hired here that Bucky
- 23:42Speaker 14: McMillan is a basketball spot. When you hear that, if
- 23:46Speaker 14: you react said, well, damn right I am, Or you
- 23:49Speaker 14: know whats like that?
- 23:54Speaker 8: You know when we're winning, great, when we're losing.
- 24:01Speaker 13: I mean I've heard basketball idiot too, So I mean
- 24:03Speaker 13: it's just kind of.
- 24:04Speaker 8: How you're doing right. When you're hot, you're hot. When
- 24:06Speaker 8: you're cold, you're cold.
- 24:09Speaker 13: I think that probably comes from a little bit that
- 24:13Speaker 13: my career as a coach until Texas Inn was always
- 24:16Speaker 13: in Alabama, so as a player is always in Alabama.
- 24:20Speaker 13: I grew up that grew up there, went to school
- 24:23Speaker 13: that went to school in Alabama, Coach High School in Alabama.
- 24:26Speaker 8: Uh then Coach College in Alabama, right in the kind
- 24:29Speaker 8: of the same area.
- 24:30Speaker 13: And we played a little bit different, and we were
- 24:32Speaker 13: playing how we play well before anyone was even really
- 24:35Speaker 13: playing fast, right, shooting a lot of threes, playing fast.
- 24:38Speaker 13: So we were winning doing that when it was really
- 24:41Speaker 13: really different back then. And so I think that's whenever
- 24:44Speaker 13: you do something different and you have success.
- 24:46Speaker 1: You know it is.
- 24:47Speaker 13: I mean, you know, first time someone lined up in shotgun,
- 24:52Speaker 13: if they won the game, people that their geniuses.
- 24:54Speaker 14: Right.
- 24:54Speaker 13: You know, we're not the only team in shotgun right now,
- 24:56Speaker 13: but you know, hopefull we can keep winning.
- 25:00Speaker 1: It's bucky and they are not the only team that
- 25:07Speaker 1: plays fast. But there aren't a lot of teams playing
- 25:14Speaker 1: like this team plays. I tell you what, as close
- 25:21Speaker 1: as I can think of, is Nolan Richardson's forty minutes
- 25:24Speaker 1: a hell at Arkansas right, never stop press you all
- 25:31Speaker 1: over the court. I mean, a more than solid argument
- 25:39Speaker 1: would be made that Nolan Richardson had a lot more
- 25:41Speaker 1: talent than is on this team. I'm not saying this
- 25:45Speaker 1: team doesn't have talent. They do have talent, but how
- 25:50Speaker 1: they play together and it was so interesting in hearing
- 25:55Speaker 1: Mike White saying, look, this is the most connected team
- 25:58Speaker 1: we've played, and we're going to hear from Hershaun Age
- 26:04Speaker 1: coming up and he's going to say similar things like, hey,
- 26:08Speaker 1: where does play for each other? We don't care what
- 26:10Speaker 1: the outside world thinks. And what's I think what's remarkable is,
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know, for those of you who need a football analysis,
- 26:25Speaker 1: we're in the area ara of the portal and all
- 26:27Speaker 1: these new players come in every year. The coaches that
- 26:31Speaker 1: are having the most success are the guys that can
- 26:34Speaker 1: get all these different people from all these places that
- 26:40Speaker 1: really have had no loyalty to the school where they
- 26:43Speaker 1: are to play as a team, right, to come together
- 26:49Speaker 1: for the common goal to play as a team. That's
- 26:52Speaker 1: not easy to do because an argument can also be
- 26:57Speaker 1: made is that some of these guys, if they're transferring
- 26:59Speaker 1: a lot, they're not really team guys. They're me guys. Now.
- 27:05Speaker 1: They're there for the money and they're there for what
- 27:09Speaker 1: can you do for me? And that's why Nick Saban
- 27:12Speaker 1: is on ESPN. I mean he said that it's like
- 27:16Speaker 1: we have the exit interview his right before he announces
- 27:21Speaker 1: he's quitting, he goes every kid that comes in is like,
- 27:25Speaker 1: what are you going to do for me? And Saban said,
- 27:28Speaker 1: all right, it's time to go. So I'd argue in
- 27:33Speaker 1: this day and age, it's it's difficult. Will you bring
- 27:36Speaker 1: fourteen players in? That's not easy, right to get them
- 27:44Speaker 1: to see this vision and to play this kind of
- 27:47Speaker 1: style and to give up minutes because they know they
- 27:53Speaker 1: can't play thirty five minutes play in that kind of style.
- 27:58Speaker 1: They gotta have some rest, They have to turn it over.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I was watching Tech in Kansas last night, great atmosphere,
- 28:07Speaker 1: great college game, two teams capable of going to the
- 28:12Speaker 1: Final four, and you know, you're looking at all of
- 28:19Speaker 1: this and it's you look at these two teams and
- 28:26Speaker 1: there's guys from you know, from everywhere. But how do
- 28:30Speaker 1: you get them committed to play that style? And nobody's
- 28:37Speaker 1: quite playing like A and M is. I don't care
- 28:39Speaker 1: what you say. There are just not teams that are
- 28:42Speaker 1: playing that kind of style. Relentless pressure, relentless undersized. Not
- 28:53Speaker 1: the team that walks off the bus that you look at, going, ah, man,
- 28:58Speaker 1: that's a good looking team. Now, when Florida walks off
- 29:04Speaker 1: the bus Saturday night, you go to look at those
- 29:07Speaker 1: guys go, there are monsters, Tennessee. We've already seen that.
- 29:13Speaker 1: They're monsters, very interesting, and I like Bucky wasn't going
- 29:23Speaker 1: to get into the Bettioco thing. He wasn't going there.
- 29:26Speaker 1: He says, Look, we're gonna worry about our guys, like
- 29:30Speaker 1: we said on the Writer's Roundtable last night. So far,
- 29:36Speaker 1: in my mind has been more of a hindrance and
- 29:38Speaker 1: a detriment. I mean, the guy can play, he's six',
- 29:43Speaker 1: eleven but what do you have six points the other
- 29:48Speaker 1: On sunday When alabama just got blown out By. FLORIDA
- 29:55Speaker 1: i don't think they brought him in for six. Points
- 29:58Speaker 1: i'm pretty sure that be interesting to see. Tomorrow be

- 32:26Speaker 18: Players Fun center phone line to visit with the head
- 32:28Speaker 18: coach of The Aggiland Homeschool baseball, team Mister Tyler patty.
- 32:32Speaker 18: Coach thanks for joining me.
- 32:33Speaker 19: Today, yeah thanks for having me.
- 32:35Speaker 18: So Aggiland Homeschool. Association you, know it's been around for a,
- 32:38Speaker 18: while had a lot of success in basketball, volleyball but
- 32:41Speaker 18: this baseball team almost brand, new had its first season
- 32:45Speaker 18: last year ten and fourteen, season and this is your
- 32:48Speaker 18: first year with the. Program how are you acclimating to
- 32:51Speaker 18: the team so?
- 32:51Speaker 19: Far you, know it's going really. Well i've been getting
- 32:55Speaker 19: a great. Team we've been able to kind of get,
- 32:57Speaker 19: together get to know each, other learn some, systems and
- 33:01Speaker 19: just create some. Culture so it's really been an. Honor
- 33:04Speaker 19: great group of, kids great organization so, far great, parents you,
- 33:09Speaker 19: know coaches.
- 33:10Speaker 8: Dream so The panthers.
- 33:12Speaker 18: Believe the end goal for the season Is Homeschool World
- 33:15Speaker 18: series In, florida but a wide range of opponents on
- 33:18Speaker 18: the schedule this. Year what are some of your thoughts
- 33:20Speaker 18: on the.
- 33:20Speaker 19: SCHEDULE i think the schedule is pretty. Good we, have you,
- 33:23Speaker 19: know a mix of some private, schools we have a
- 33:25Speaker 19: mix of some public, schools and a wider range of you, know,
- 33:31Speaker 19: Talent so hopefully we're playing some guys that are equal to,
- 33:34Speaker 19: us AND i would prefer to play a tougher, schedule
- 33:37Speaker 19: so we kind of just hope some of those teams
- 33:38Speaker 19: are fit to the bill and we can you, know,
- 33:41Speaker 19: grow get better and just become better. Athletes i'm pretty
- 33:45Speaker 19: happy with how we're going to start. Off we kind
- 33:47Speaker 19: of have a lighter schedule as we're building those pitch,
- 33:50Speaker 19: counts and then as we're working towards That World, series
- 33:53Speaker 19: we we pick up some, games a lot of jv varsity,
- 33:56Speaker 19: doubleheaders so those float guys can get some extra at
- 33:59Speaker 19: bats and rolling into postseason and make sure that we've
- 34:02Speaker 19: got the best mine at the. Field So i'm really
- 34:04Speaker 19: happy with what's been handed to. Me so far looking
- 34:08Speaker 19: forward to a good season see if we can build
- 34:10Speaker 19: on last.
- 34:10Speaker 18: Year so you mentioned not knowing a lot about all
- 34:14Speaker 18: the teams on the, schedule and that's kind of a
- 34:15Speaker 18: common thing with you, know the private school and homeschool.
- 34:18Speaker 18: Ranks there are a few public schools like you, mentioned
- 34:20Speaker 18: on the. Schedule but how different is it coaching in
- 34:23Speaker 18: this sort of situation as opposed to maybe with a
- 34:26Speaker 18: public school or private, school where you, know you know
- 34:29Speaker 18: the players that you have and they go to the.
- 34:31Speaker 18: School in this, situation it's kind of just who signs.
- 34:34Speaker 19: Up, yeah, no for, sure it's a little bit, DIFFERENT i,
- 34:38Speaker 19: think you, know to be, honest it's more of an,
- 34:41Speaker 19: opportunity right IF i don't have a district, schedule we
- 34:45Speaker 19: can almost hand select some of those, teams you, know
- 34:48Speaker 19: schedule dependent based on the roster that we're putting out
- 34:50Speaker 19: on the. Field if we feel really strongly about our
- 34:54Speaker 19: team and what we're putting out, there you, know we
- 34:56Speaker 19: can go and schedule some more challenging. Teams that's only
- 35:00Speaker 19: going to create you, know higher level of play within the. Organization,
- 35:03Speaker 19: now there may be years where we graduate some absolute,
- 35:05Speaker 19: studs and that's also an opportunity maybe we have to
- 35:09Speaker 19: throttle back to make sure that we're kind of meeting
- 35:12Speaker 19: the expectations of what those players need to continue to.
- 35:14Speaker 19: Develop that's that's really, unique definitely something That i'm new
- 35:19Speaker 19: to coming from you, know public, schools coming From, colorado
- 35:22Speaker 19: where you, know basically for the next three four years
- 35:25Speaker 19: your schedule set in stone who you're going to be.
- 35:28Speaker 19: Playing and that is also a blessing because you know
- 35:31Speaker 19: what kids are coming up to the jv, Rinks so
- 35:34Speaker 19: you know who play a good freshman on THE jv,
- 35:38Speaker 19: team you expected to kind of see him on the
- 35:40Speaker 19: varsity team and watch his development as well and the
- 35:43Speaker 19: challenges he's going to present to. You so, yeah, definitely
- 35:47Speaker 19: it's definitely different for.
- 35:48Speaker 18: Sure SO i know you have some college baseball experience
- 35:52Speaker 18: played At Fort Hayes. State how valuable would you say
- 35:56Speaker 18: that playing experience is playing at that higher?
- 35:59Speaker 19: LEVEL i think it's extremely. Important not only do you
- 36:02Speaker 19: get more exposure to more, coaches even just through the
- 36:05Speaker 19: summer program when you're affiliated with the, college right, like
- 36:08Speaker 19: you go and play wood back leagues Across, america so
- 36:12Speaker 19: you're exposed to a huge litany of, coaches not you,
- 36:16Speaker 19: know paid. Instructors these are guys that get paid to
- 36:19Speaker 19: make sure that you're the best baseball player that you
- 36:21Speaker 19: can possibly. Be and it's a full time. Job when
- 36:25Speaker 19: someone's devoting that much time into you and you know
- 36:28Speaker 19: you have the ability to be a, sponge it only
- 36:30Speaker 19: makes you a better man and a better. Coach, Right
- 36:32Speaker 19: so as coming from that now doing it for these,
- 36:36Speaker 19: KIDS i try to put in the same qualities That
- 36:39Speaker 19: i've learned from some of the great coaches That i've played.
- 36:41Speaker 19: For IF i didn't play, COLLEGE i may not have
- 36:44Speaker 19: played for some of those great. Coaches. Coaches not to
- 36:46Speaker 19: take away from my high school coaching experience at, all
- 36:50Speaker 19: but it's just a little bit. DIFFERENT a lot of those,
- 36:52Speaker 19: guys you, know some of them played pro ball or
- 36:55Speaker 19: they've taken elite programs To World. Series they just played
- 36:58Speaker 19: the game at such a high. Level and when you
- 37:00Speaker 19: start to take that talent and then make it more
- 37:03Speaker 19: of an intellectual, game learning the ins and outs of the,
- 37:07Speaker 19: game it really helps. You right then we can break
- 37:10Speaker 19: that down simpler when we get to the high school,
- 37:12Speaker 19: level it's, Great and let's be, honest when you go to,
- 37:16Speaker 19: college you meet more. Failure so just being more. PATIENT
- 37:19Speaker 19: i learned a lot of patients through my successes and
- 37:22Speaker 19: patients through my, failures and college really exposed me to
- 37:25Speaker 19: that early. On you, know you grow up thinking you're the,
- 37:29Speaker 19: best and you go and kind of get your teeth
- 37:32Speaker 19: kicked in metaphorically when, you you, know sign up your
- 37:34Speaker 19: freshman year of college ball and you see what you,
- 37:36Speaker 19: know a twenty one year old male looks. Like it's
- 37:39Speaker 19: definitely a shock. Gun it's fun and it's, great And
- 37:42Speaker 19: i'm hoping to kind of create that culture to get
- 37:44Speaker 19: guys to go and live it for. Themselves that's the ultimate.
- 37:47Speaker 18: Goal and another thing with comparing the homeschool and private
- 37:52Speaker 18: school format of the, season let's say to regular public high,
- 37:56Speaker 18: schools you, know it's the end of the, season the
- 37:59Speaker 18: goal is to go to the homes A World, series
- 38:00Speaker 18: which is a tournament style championship for, y'all as opposed
- 38:04Speaker 18: to UI l where it's a playoff format where it's
- 38:07Speaker 18: a three game. Series how much harder is it for
- 38:09Speaker 18: you to plan out your pitching in a tournament format,
- 38:13Speaker 18: versus you, know like a three game.
- 38:14Speaker 19: Series that's a really good. Question, THANKFULLY i feel like
- 38:18Speaker 19: we have good depth this, year so that actually makes
- 38:23Speaker 19: it more of a strength for. US i feel like
- 38:25Speaker 19: the more games and the deeper we can get into that,
- 38:27Speaker 19: tournament the more successful we're going to. Be that's that's
- 38:32Speaker 19: a blessing on a lean you're obviously it contributes heavily the,
- 38:36Speaker 19: format the way the tournament tournament. Structured you, know you
- 38:41Speaker 19: can go a lot of different. Ways like you, know
- 38:43Speaker 19: it may not make sense to start your ace in
- 38:46Speaker 19: a pool play game if you kind of know who
- 38:48Speaker 19: you're going to be playing and what you're. Expecting but
- 38:51Speaker 19: that also comes with a, curse right if you don't
- 38:53Speaker 19: go out and win that first. Game SO i would
- 38:56Speaker 19: say offense kind of predicts how you're going to do
- 38:59Speaker 19: that on the pitch staff on a lean, year, Right
- 39:01Speaker 19: but LIKE i, said this year very. BLESSED i feel
- 39:05Speaker 19: like my three and four can go out and compete
- 39:08Speaker 19: with the ones and, twos and you, know you don't
- 39:10Speaker 19: get to say that very. Often hopefully for the next
- 39:12Speaker 19: couple of years we can continue to say the same
- 39:14Speaker 19: thing and we can be competitive at a high level
- 39:18Speaker 19: when we get. There it's it's definitely. DIFFERENT i would
- 39:23Speaker 19: prefer two game series each and every. DAY a three
- 39:26Speaker 19: game series would be, Awesome but you know that's that
- 39:30Speaker 19: is kind of the what team's going to show up
- 39:32Speaker 19: and how can you overcome? Adversity WHICH i also love that,
- 39:36Speaker 19: Too so, yeah it's definitely presents some challenges for.
- 39:39Speaker 18: Sure All, right last question for you Here tonight Against
- 39:43Speaker 18: Alpha Omega, academy Your panthers start the. Season so what
- 39:47Speaker 18: are you expecting to see from that? Game have you
- 39:49Speaker 18: know anything About Alpha? OMEGA i know they already have
- 39:51Speaker 18: a one game down this, year but what are your
- 39:53Speaker 18: expectations for?
- 39:54Speaker 19: Tonight you, KNOW i know that they've historically put a
- 39:56Speaker 19: pretty good product on the, field, right they had a
- 39:58Speaker 19: really great season last. YEAR i kind of you, KNOW
- 40:02Speaker 19: i did some snooping, around look like they'd beat us last,
- 40:04Speaker 19: year so hopefully we can get a little bit of
- 40:06Speaker 19: redemption on. Them but you, know this is our first
- 40:08Speaker 19: game of the, year and this is a new system
- 40:11Speaker 19: for a lot of these, Kids SO i expect us
- 40:14Speaker 19: to go out there and compete our tails. OFF i
- 40:17Speaker 19: expect a little bit of, failure BUT i also expect
- 40:19Speaker 19: us to learn from that failure really. Quick the quicker
- 40:22Speaker 19: we learn from, it the more successful we're going to. Be,
- 40:24Speaker 19: Right So i'm going to put him in some challenging
- 40:26Speaker 19: situations to see kind of you know what we, got,
- 40:30Speaker 19: Right that's what these first few weeks are all. About
- 40:33Speaker 19: so this Is i'm not going to say a development,
- 40:34Speaker 19: game BECAUSE i definitely want to go out and, win
- 40:36Speaker 19: BUT i got a lot of guys that are fighting
- 40:38Speaker 19: for some playing time and positions right, now SO i
- 40:41Speaker 19: want to Get, ideally we go out and score a
- 40:44Speaker 19: bunch of runs AND i get a lot of our
- 40:45Speaker 19: bats out of my. Guys if, not we're going to,
- 40:47Speaker 19: see you know what kind of grit we have going
- 40:50Speaker 19: into the seventh inning and see what we.
- 40:51Speaker 20: Got all?

- 46:00Speaker 8: Of reception you think you're gonna GET.
- 46:04Speaker 11: I don't really. Know i'm not really worried about.
- 46:06Speaker 23: THAT i got a game to, play So i'm gonna
- 46:09Speaker 23: go in and focus on, that not going to hear.
- 46:11Speaker 23: Anything so my focus on the game and doing WHAT
- 46:14Speaker 23: i got to do to help my teammates.
- 46:15Speaker 12: Win you, know when you look back at your time
- 46:18Speaker 12: there just or maybe the biggest ways that you grew
- 46:21Speaker 12: as a player that has led you to this point
- 46:23Speaker 12: in your.
- 46:23Speaker 23: JOURNEY i learned how to play the right, way learn
- 46:27Speaker 23: how to share the, ball learn college. Basketball that was
- 46:30Speaker 23: my first. Place so that's WHY i saw the ins
- 46:33Speaker 23: and out of college. Basketball and it was good WHILE
- 46:36Speaker 23: i was. There But i'm here, now text saying and
- 46:38Speaker 23: them happy to be, here And i'm excited to play
- 46:41Speaker 23: there and try to help my team.
- 46:43Speaker 12: Win sure think you be Playing Charles bettiaku in a
- 46:46Speaker 12: college basketball.
- 46:47Speaker 8: Game, AGAIN.
- 46:49Speaker 11: I don't know too much about the, situation But i'm
- 46:51Speaker 11: happy For.
- 46:51Speaker 23: Chuck he a good dude and it's gonna be fun
- 46:54Speaker 23: playing because he's a great rim. Protector so that's another
- 46:57Speaker 23: guy we got to go. Against but at the end
- 46:59Speaker 23: of the, day it's just going against another guy on their.
- 47:01Speaker 23: Team so happy for, him and didn't necessarily know how
- 47:06Speaker 23: this was going to pan, out but he's playing And
- 47:08Speaker 23: i'm very happy for, Him so it'll be fun to
- 47:10Speaker 23: see him.
- 47:11Speaker 12: Again for those who may not be familiar with the
- 47:16Speaker 12: ins and outs of THE Nato it's basketball, team what
- 47:19Speaker 12: are some of the characteristics that you used to describe
- 47:22Speaker 12: how his teams.
- 47:22Speaker 11: Play we're gonna have to bring our best. SHOT i,
- 47:25Speaker 11: mean they're gonna be ready to.
- 47:26Speaker 23: GO i know that they had a tough game yesterday
- 47:31Speaker 23: and against another great. Team they wanted to those two teams,
- 47:35Speaker 23: YESTERDAY i wanted to two of the top teams in the.
- 47:37Speaker 23: Conference so you know they're going to play up and,
- 47:39Speaker 23: down play, fast try to score one, hundred and you
- 47:43Speaker 23: know they're going to play really really. Hard so that's
- 47:45Speaker 23: something we got to be on the lookout for and
- 47:47Speaker 23: we got to match that, energy especially with him being
- 47:49Speaker 23: at home in a good.
- 47:50Speaker 11: Environment you Mentioned Charles bean you could.
- 47:53Speaker 10: Do what was y'all's relationship like and we all you'll
- 47:57Speaker 10: hang out a lot of off the. Court what was that?
- 47:59Speaker 8: Dynamic Like?
- 48:00Speaker 11: Chuck he real, funny he real.
- 48:02Speaker 23: Nice some people are talking about him on the internet or,
- 48:07Speaker 23: whatever and they don't really know.
- 48:08Speaker 11: Him he's a good.
- 48:09Speaker 23: DUDE i don't think he deserves to be talked about
- 48:11Speaker 23: the way they're talking about him because he's a great
- 48:13Speaker 23: guy and you don't try to hurt. Anybody so we
- 48:16Speaker 23: have a great. Relationship we had a great relationship WHEN
- 48:18Speaker 23: i was, there and LIKE i, said it would be
- 48:21Speaker 23: fun to see him whenever we played.
- 48:22Speaker 11: Him you guys don't focus on outside.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Noise but you, know you guys are starting to get
- 48:28Speaker 1: some national intention as.
- 48:29Speaker 8: Far as like poles.
- 48:30Speaker 13: Go do you?
- 48:32Speaker 8: Care is this something you?
- 48:33Speaker 1: Guys you, know the respect you're starting to.
- 48:35Speaker 9: Corner is it just?
- 48:35Speaker 23: Business, oh it's just business as. USUAL i mean all
- 48:38Speaker 23: that stuff changes week the. Week, obviously you in and
- 48:43Speaker 23: you could be in one week and then you lose
- 48:45Speaker 23: that week and you're out that, week it doesn't really.
- 48:46Speaker 11: Matter you.
- 48:47Speaker 23: Know My kansas team was number one preseason last year
- 48:51Speaker 23: and ended up out the rankings seventh seed in the.
- 48:54Speaker 23: Tournament so just go to show you that all that
- 48:56Speaker 23: stuff changes and it doesn't really. Matter we just got
- 49:00Speaker 23: to still come out and handle business and everything else
- 49:02Speaker 23: will take care of.
- 49:03Speaker 12: Itself when a team with pace plays a team with,
- 49:07Speaker 12: pace just what's kind of the balance they're succeeding when
- 49:11Speaker 12: when when high paced teams face off with each.
- 49:14Speaker 23: Other, oh it's just gonna be up and. Down it's
- 49:16Speaker 23: gonna be about you, know getting back on. Defense they
- 49:21Speaker 23: get out and transition really really. Well they advanced the
- 49:23Speaker 23: ball really, well they get to the paint really, well
- 49:26Speaker 23: they shoot the three really, well and those are things
- 49:28Speaker 23: that we look for in our offense as. Well so
- 49:30Speaker 23: we just got to play up and down similar To.
- 49:31Speaker 23: Georgia georgia was up and down a, lot you, Know
- 49:34Speaker 23: so just got a same type game kind of just
- 49:37Speaker 23: up and, down fast, paced and you know it'll be
- 49:41Speaker 23: a two hard working teams that go against each.
- 49:43Speaker 12: Other, yeah to that, point just it is it a
- 49:46Speaker 12: good thing that you just Played georgia team that has
- 49:49Speaker 12: that kind of similar type of.
- 49:50Speaker 11: Pace, YEAH i think it's a good.
- 49:52Speaker 23: Thing, georgia you, know they get up and down very very.
- 49:54Speaker 23: WELL i Think georgia's number two in tempo And alabama's
- 49:59Speaker 23: probably number one top, five so you, know, same you,
- 50:02Speaker 23: know tempo. Similarity so you, KNOW i think going Against
- 50:05Speaker 23: georgia that, game seeing what we need to clean up
- 50:07Speaker 23: Against georgia and having it ready for this game here
- 50:10Speaker 23: is is going to be very very important for.
- 50:12Speaker 10: Us both teams go that fast and look to score
- 50:15Speaker 10: like it did With. Georgia do you kind of have
- 50:17Speaker 10: to go in the mentality of no lead is. SAFE
- 50:19Speaker 10: i know y'all jumped out there earlier twenty, two but
- 50:22Speaker 10: both teams can.
- 50:23Speaker 11: Score, well, yeah, yeah for, sure no lead is.
- 50:25Speaker 23: Safe they're a good three point shooting team just like,
- 50:27Speaker 23: us so they're gonna make a lot of tough.
- 50:29Speaker 11: Shots they're gonna go on a.
- 50:31Speaker 23: Run we just can't let, that you, know kill us
- 50:33Speaker 23: from the game and just think that we're out of
- 50:35Speaker 23: the game just because.
- 50:36Speaker 11: They went on a. Run you, know we got to
- 50:37Speaker 11: go on a run as.
- 50:37Speaker 23: Well so you, know it's just that's how it is
- 50:41Speaker 23: in college sometimes with two fast paced. Teams you, know
- 50:44Speaker 23: you see one team going to ten all run and
- 50:46Speaker 23: then another team later on in the game goes on
- 50:49Speaker 23: the ten all.
- 50:49Speaker 11: Run so it's just gonna be game of.
- 50:51Speaker 23: Runs and we've been in that game, before BUT i
- 50:54Speaker 23: know they have, too so we'll both be.
- 50:56Speaker 11: Ready what does.
- 50:57Speaker 12: Coach challenge you with through this, stretch through this friendship.
- 51:00Speaker 23: Games, oh he just wants me, to you, know just
- 51:03Speaker 23: focus and do WHAT i got to do for my
- 51:05Speaker 23: team to, win whether it's, defend, rebound make, shots, talk
- 51:10Speaker 23: be a leader on the. Bench he just wants me
- 51:12Speaker 23: to do WHAT i can to help us. Win that's
- 51:14Speaker 23: the biggest goal right. Now just winning, games stay, winning
- 51:17Speaker 23: not focus on what people are saying or anybody else is,
- 51:20Speaker 23: doing just focusing on TAX a and m and what
- 51:22Speaker 23: TAX a AND mss to do to continue to win
- 51:24Speaker 23: games in THE.
- 51:25Speaker 11: Sec so was.
- 51:27Speaker 8: Number one in Tempo georgia's number two VERSUS a AND.
- 51:29Speaker 23: M i think band with number one And georgia number.
- 51:35Speaker 23: TWO i think that's actually like a, fact that's not
- 51:37Speaker 23: like an. Opinion but IF i had to go from
- 51:40Speaker 23: WHAT i feel, LIKE i feel like a number one
- 51:43Speaker 23: because we got the defense and we go fast on offense, too,
- 51:46Speaker 23: so BUT i don't. KNOW i think we're probably like
- 51:50Speaker 23: top fifty in tempo something like.
- 51:52Speaker 1: That, yeah they're a little better than. That It's Ryland.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Griffin f DID i Mention Richardson High? SCHOOL i thought
- 52:00Speaker 1: earlier in the year he was not, honestly he was
- 52:04Speaker 1: disappointing in how he was. Playing and there was a
- 52:08Speaker 1: game earlier on WHERE i Think bucky set him, down
- 52:11Speaker 1: maybe for a whole. Half i'm not saying that was
- 52:14Speaker 1: a turning. Point but he has been. Spectacular he has
- 52:19Speaker 1: been everything that they needed him to be and a
- 52:24Speaker 1: huge part of what they're. Doing this is a guy
- 52:27Speaker 1: that's been in The final, Four, okay so he knows
- 52:31Speaker 1: what it. Takes that's a big. Deal you know WHAT
- 52:34Speaker 1: i have right? NOW i have two tickets to the
- 52:37Speaker 1: thirty fourth ANNUAL Cca Banquet friday night at The Brasses.
