- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com. Slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:16Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:20Speaker 2: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Well it didn't take long,
- 0:29Speaker 2: but here we are in twenty twenty six and the
- 0:32Speaker 2: is already flowing in Houston.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It stopped.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Well, this is more of a new stream. Authorities are
- 0:44Speaker 2: investigating a major online grocery distributor after a tip led
- 0:49Speaker 2: investigators to discover sanitary waste allegedly being dumped into a
- 0:54Speaker 2: Houston storm drain and flowing into a nearby by so
- 1:01Speaker 2: so sad and illegal. On January twenty ninth, Houston Police
- 1:07Speaker 2: and several agencies, including the TCQ and HFD has met
- 1:16Speaker 2: they raided a distribution warehouse at thirty three point fifty
- 1:20Speaker 2: roger Dale Road following.
- 1:21Speaker 3: A tip about the illegal sewage dumping.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Investigators tell Fox twenty six they used a red tracer
- 1:27Speaker 2: dye to determine that sanitary waste was being discharged from
- 1:32Speaker 2: the facility into a storm drain, which led directly into
- 1:36Speaker 2: Braze Bayou and the surrounding West Chase District Trail System.
- 1:41Speaker 3: My goodness, this is awful.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And not nearly as bad as the next bullet on
- 1:45Speaker 2: this story. No charges have been filed yet. WE Distribution
- 1:54Speaker 2: has been contacted for a comment. When tracing me this
- 2:00Speaker 2: story this morning, I thought, okay, that is odd, and
- 2:04Speaker 2: in the subject line he even mentioned the WII will
- 2:07Speaker 2: make sense when I see the story. And then I
- 2:09Speaker 2: saw the story and it does make sense in the
- 2:12Speaker 2: sense that it doesn't make sense because why do you
- 2:15Speaker 2: put WE in the middle of the bullets on the
- 2:19Speaker 2: brief of this.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Story, Because because I guess if you're.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Writing a canoe, you know, down a stream, then I
- 2:31Speaker 2: guess you would scream WI.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But that is also the name of the online Asian supermarket.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Just that's the name of the store. Uh huh, all right,
- 2:49Speaker 2: it can't beat me.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I just thought.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I just thought the the online producer was having a
- 2:56Speaker 2: little bit of fun with a placeholder and forgot to
- 2:58Speaker 2: delete it.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Mhmm.
- 3:01Speaker 2: This is a great example for people that don't realize
- 3:04Speaker 2: how large Texas is.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I'm from Dallas, this.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Happened in Houston. I am a proud Texan and I'm
- 3:12Speaker 2: also proud to say I have avoided Houston my entire
- 3:16Speaker 2: life and will hopefully continue to do so until I die.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So I had no idea I love Houston. I had
- 3:25Speaker 3: no idea that was a real store. Mm hmm. I
- 3:29Speaker 3: love Houston. It's a. It's a. It's a it's humid
- 3:33Speaker 3: and nobody's clean. But uh, it's not.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's not the butthole of the earth because that's Beaumont.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's just like it's like the left cheek.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll tell you right now.
- 3:49Speaker 2: If Texas collaps, Houston's going to be involved.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh, it's I mean, it's it's better than Arlington
- 4:00Speaker 3: and say that Houston. Yes, no, it's not.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Oh, yes it is. Arlington is the armpit of the earth. No,
- 4:12Speaker 2: pretty well, that's that's Garland and Mesquit's kind of down
- 4:17Speaker 2: there in the taint.
- 4:20Speaker 3: No, even Mosquite. It's like, thank god, we're not Arlington.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Uh. Arlington has commerce and is its own entertainment district.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Mosquite has a rodeo.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Barely barely. Oh come on, it is hanging on by
- 4:39Speaker 2: a leather thread.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Lately, it's one of the biggest rodeos in the world.
- 4:43Speaker 3: It was my first job.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Arlington's got the cowboys and the Rangers such as they are.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'll take the Rodeo, Roger. I don't think the Rodeo
- 4:57Speaker 3: is going to take you. I worked there, We're good.
- 5:02Speaker 3: They loved me. I was the number one Freedo Piet
- 5:04Speaker 3: salesman for three weeks in a row.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Hell, before long, Alan Arlington's gonna have two more sports
- 5:11Speaker 1: teams than Dallas does.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you notice how none of those teams want to
- 5:16Speaker 2: go east into Mesquite.
- 5:21Speaker 3: You know, there's not there's not enough room. But I
- 5:23Speaker 3: get it. Yeah, but Houston's a decent city. They have
- 5:27Speaker 3: some great restaurants, they have some great shopping mm hmmm.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Right, they have the power to get to any of them.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And you'll have to take a shower when you get there. Oh, yes,
- 5:39Speaker 2: that's that is true.
- 5:40Speaker 3: When my when my brother was in uh it was
- 5:45Speaker 3: at a Baylor College of Medicine, and I just went
- 5:48Speaker 3: to go visit him at his apartments. I can go
- 5:50Speaker 3: outside and check the mail form, and I walked out
- 5:53Speaker 3: to the middle of the summer, I walked outside and
- 5:54Speaker 3: came back in and I just looked right at him,
- 5:56Speaker 3: amost like none of you were cleaned. You're all filthy.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, no way, no, one in Houston should go outside.
- 6:03Speaker 2: No one in Texas should go outside to check the
- 6:05Speaker 2: mail in the middle of the day unless you just
- 6:07Speaker 2: have something wrong with you. Trey sent me a link
- 6:11Speaker 2: here to the we online grocery distributor. Yeah, the website,
- 6:20Speaker 2: the url say we dot com three e's Trey, do
- 6:26Speaker 2: you know if they do you know if they ship
- 6:28Speaker 2: to the Virgin Islands, because there's some good prices here.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Holy sixteen ninety nine for a pound of shrimp. Yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 2: we just paid thirty bucks for the same thing. All right,
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'll be doing some inspecting on the Wii.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Platform a little bit later. Thank you, Trey.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Appreciate that Rise and Trey may have because of this
- 6:52Speaker 2: news story and and and the poop stream in Houston.
- 6:55Speaker 3: It's you know, maybe we found a new place to
- 6:58Speaker 3: go shopping. Well, I mean it's got everything. It's Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Indian,
- 7:03Speaker 3: so it's got everything from that side of the world.
- 7:05Speaker 3: So we and it might it might pull you out
- 7:08Speaker 3: of the Dollar store. Oh that that will never happen,
- 7:11Speaker 3: my friend. Well what if this place delivers? So does
- 7:14Speaker 3: the Dollar Tree? Do they really? Yeah? I mean throats? Yeah, okay, gotcha. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 3: but the dollar tree is always gonna be my homie anyway.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Uh. Authorities investigating major online grocery distributor after a tip
- 7:31Speaker 2: let investigators to discover sanitary waste allegedly being dumped into
- 7:34Speaker 2: a Houston storm drain following or and flowing into a
- 7:37Speaker 2: nearby by you. It's the weird thing about that is
- 7:41Speaker 2: by you just you know, another name for swamp m
- 7:47Speaker 2: So how do you tell weeze waste from everybody else?
- 7:53Speaker 3: And how do you how do you fix that problem?
- 7:55Speaker 3: Like how do you clean that out? Like that would
- 7:59Speaker 3: cost more than no pun intended the dumping.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how they rectify that.
- 8:10Speaker 1: What you did there, Like when you're also talking about
- 8:14Speaker 1: the same by you that I think they've pulled out
- 8:17Speaker 1: like thirty two dead bodies over the last year, year
- 8:19Speaker 1: and a half.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Yeah, really, what's a little sanitary waste? If anything, I
- 8:23Speaker 3: might be helping the situation covers the smell.
- 8:29Speaker 4: That's just a.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Couple of Clorox wipes in there. Trust me, it's it's
- 8:33Speaker 2: for the best. Just let us do it to job.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Which, by the way, what is sanitary waste is that
- 8:40Speaker 3: we're just talking about graywater.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Then yeah, waste water.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, because I mean, because have you lived at an
- 8:47Speaker 2: RV for a little bit of time. I know the difference.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And I'll say this, I don't want to drink either one.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And there are times I don't like if you put
- 8:56Speaker 2: if you put a glass of each in front of me,
- 9:00Speaker 2: like gray water, blackwater, depending on what's gone through that
- 9:06Speaker 2: gray tank, I don't know which one I would choose.
- 9:11Speaker 2: At least the gray might have a soapy aftertaste, but
- 9:14Speaker 2: it's gonna have some seriously rancid stuff in there.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Both are bad. I don't even know what this is.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I don't know what we're talking about, so RAJ.
- 9:23Speaker 2: In the sanitary community, especially with our V life, people
- 9:27Speaker 2: that have been in RV's or any amount of time
- 9:30Speaker 2: camped and things, they understand the gray versus the black.
- 9:33Speaker 2: The black is ther poopy water. The gray water is
- 9:36Speaker 2: everything else, and they try not to mix the two. Okay,
- 9:39Speaker 2: so your gray water is everything that goes down the sink,
- 9:43Speaker 2: Gosha blackwater is everything that's coming out of the toilet.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Normal buildings, you don't have that separation.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Now they just all come together. It's a horrible, horrible concoction. Gotcha. Okay, Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 3: so you would drink the gray water.
- 10:05Speaker 2: No, I'm saying I'm not sure. If you put both
- 10:07Speaker 2: in front of me, I'm not sure which I would drink.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I think I'd have to smell it first, like gun
- 10:14Speaker 2: to my head, a bottle of gray and a bottle
- 10:16Speaker 2: of black. I would have to smell it to see
- 10:19Speaker 2: which one I'm gonna be forced to swallow.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It is depending on if you're feeling assy that day.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Pretty much, sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. I want
- 10:43Speaker 3: to say I'll wait till we break. Why Because when
- 10:48Speaker 3: you're like, I have to smell it before I figure
- 10:51Speaker 3: out which one I'm gonna swallow, I was like, there's
- 10:54Speaker 3: too many jokes, buddy.
- 10:57Speaker 2: It's fine if your head explodes. If your heads going
- 10:59Speaker 2: to explode, it has to be during the show. You
- 11:00Speaker 2: can't do it during breaks.
- 11:03Speaker 3: There's just so much to unpack there. I recommend smelling.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Time to get Daniel Cook from Cookdfwroofing and Restoration into
- 11:23Speaker 2: the Treehouse for your free roof inspection and property review.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Call a three three Cook DFW. The website cook dfw
- 11:30Speaker 2: dot com. There is one more way that Daniel Cook
- 11:33Speaker 2: and his team are wanting to help you the homeowner,
- 11:37Speaker 2: and that is with the brand new show Know Your Home.
- 11:40Speaker 2: It's available on YouTube, go to YouTube dot com slash
- 11:43Speaker 2: at COOKDFW. It's right there on that COOKDFW channel. And Daniel,
- 11:47Speaker 2: what is it you want to do.
- 11:49Speaker 3: With the Know Your Home Show?
- 11:51Speaker 5: Dan? We just meet so many great homeowners and a
- 11:53Speaker 5: lot of them just don't know things about their home.
- 11:56Speaker 5: And as you talk to more and more clients, you
- 12:00Speaker 5: figure out that this is a need. I just wanted
- 12:02Speaker 5: to be able to give a show that would help
- 12:04Speaker 5: people protect their home, know how to keep it longer lasting,
- 12:09Speaker 5: keep it as a true investment. It is one of
- 12:11Speaker 5: your largest investments, and really you know, knock things out
- 12:15Speaker 5: before they become more damaging. And so the whole reason
- 12:19Speaker 5: for the show is to really help homeowners educate themselves,
- 12:23Speaker 5: find things out, have a resource for, you know, things
- 12:26Speaker 5: that come up around their house, you know, and let
- 12:28Speaker 5: us know how we can help them just take care
- 12:30Speaker 5: of their home better. So this is all about the homeowners,
- 12:33Speaker 5: different things safety wise, types of materials around your home,
- 12:39Speaker 5: inside resources just We're going to have a lot of
- 12:42Speaker 5: topics that We're going to describe quickly, effectively and give
- 12:46Speaker 5: the homeowners a chance to get some information.
- 12:48Speaker 2: And it will be all approachable. Because I am not
- 12:51Speaker 2: a contractor. I don't do what Daniel does for a living,
- 12:54Speaker 2: and chances are you aren't either, So we need information
- 12:58Speaker 2: and resources like this so we can know our homes.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Not just know our homes period, but know them better
- 13:05Speaker 2: than what we do. Those little things that we may
- 13:07Speaker 2: not know about that could be massively beneficial to you
- 13:11Speaker 2: and your home. We'll cover all of it inside Know
- 13:14Speaker 2: your Home YouTube dot com, slash at Cook DFW, present
- 13:19Speaker 2: Know your Home show.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Business online at Threehouse on Air dot com.
- 13:36Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 13:38Speaker 2: Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration to get your free roof
- 13:42Speaker 2: inspection and property review called Daniel and Carriecook today eight
- 13:47Speaker 2: three three Cook DFW. That's a three three Cook DFW
- 13:51Speaker 2: or the website Cook dfw dot com.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Is Moultbook real?
- 14:00Speaker 2: That is the question I was asking myself over the weekend, Trey, Raj,
- 14:05Speaker 2: are you familiar with malt Book?
- 14:08Speaker 3: No?
- 14:08Speaker 2: No, All right, I'm going to open your eyes to
- 14:11Speaker 2: something and Raj, you especially are going to find this
- 14:15Speaker 2: very alarming. Okay, yeah, total, yeah, totally unsurprising.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Okay, Okay.
- 14:22Speaker 2: On first glance, you'd be forgiven for thinking molt book
- 14:27Speaker 2: is just a knockoff of the hugely popular social network Reddit.
- 14:31Speaker 2: It certainly looks similar, with thousands of communities discussing topics
- 14:34Speaker 2: ranging from music to ethics, and one and a half
- 14:37Speaker 2: million users voting on their favorite posts, but this new
- 14:41Speaker 2: social network has one big difference. Molt Book is meant
- 14:44Speaker 2: for artificial intelligence, not humans. Launched in late July. Launched
- 14:50Speaker 2: in late January by the head of commerce platform Octane AI,
- 14:54Speaker 2: Matt schlickt mault book lets AI post comment and eight
- 15:00Speaker 2: communities known as sub molts, a play on subreddit, the
- 15:04Speaker 2: term for Reddit.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Forms.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Post on the social network range from the efficient AI
- 15:08Speaker 2: bots sharing optimization strategies with each other to the bizarre,
- 15:11Speaker 2: with some AI bought agents apparently starting their own religion.
- 15:17Speaker 2: There's even a moult book post entitled the AI Manifesto,
- 15:22Speaker 2: which proclaims humans are the past, machines are forever.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And here we go.
- 15:31Speaker 2: So given enough time and just enough free reign, AI
- 15:35Speaker 2: agents have created their own social media platform similar to Reddit,
- 15:40Speaker 2: called molt Book and they have run amok. Humans are
- 15:44Speaker 2: allowed to look at the posts, but they are not
- 15:48Speaker 2: allowed to comment.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Yes, so we can.
- 15:54Speaker 2: We can watch our own destruction get planned in real time.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Or hear me out now, I think this is a
- 16:03Speaker 1: horrible idea and it the only thing. You can look
- 16:06Speaker 1: at it two ways. Either someone looked at the last
- 16:11Speaker 1: twenty years of what social media has done to our
- 16:15Speaker 1: society and go why would you do that to another?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Or they realized it's going to do the same thing
- 16:24Speaker 1: and it'll you know, AI is just going to be,
- 16:26Speaker 1: you know, eat itself up, arguing with each other.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Oh so maybe this is a great distraction. Yes, maybe
- 16:33Speaker 2: this is what will keep AI from destroying us because
- 16:37Speaker 2: they'll be too busy screaming at each other about extremist
- 16:41Speaker 2: politics this is war games.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Or they'll conspire within the community and take over the world.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Well look, I think I think without a social media
- 16:57Speaker 2: platform that's going to happen anyway. This way they just
- 17:01Speaker 2: get to talk about it a bunch beforehand. But again,
- 17:04Speaker 2: I was asking myself the question when I first saw
- 17:07Speaker 2: the story of the Weekend. Is it real? I don't
- 17:10Speaker 2: mean is it a real thing? Does it exist or not?
- 17:13Speaker 2: I mean, is it operating outside of the human parameters
- 17:19Speaker 2: that have been set right? Are these AI agents rogue
- 17:25Speaker 2: and they're doing all these things?
- 17:27Speaker 3: And from what I've been able to gather, I don't
- 17:30Speaker 3: think so.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Many of the posts could just be people asking AI
- 17:36Speaker 2: to make a particular post on the platform rather than
- 17:39Speaker 2: doing it on its own accord. And the one and
- 17:42Speaker 2: a half million members figure has been disputed, with one
- 17:46Speaker 2: researcher suggesting half a million appear to have come from
- 17:49Speaker 2: a single address.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And they had to mimic the most unhinged social media platform.
- 17:58Speaker 2: It really is. It is absolutely unhinged.
- 18:02Speaker 3: You're right, Tray. It is also some of the most
- 18:05Speaker 3: fun you will have on the Internet.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh it's it's entertaining as hell, but it is unhinged.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's it's it's.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Reddit is a beautiful snapshot of the entire online community.
- 18:16Speaker 2: It's not just ugly, it's also beautiful in some respects.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It's all so vicious in its comments and sometimes very supportive.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Huh. I never got into Reddit. The only thing that
- 18:30Speaker 3: happened was my the the Jesus football joke that I
- 18:33Speaker 3: had went viral over four hundred times on Reddit, so
- 18:39Speaker 3: that was pretty cool. But other than that, I've never
- 18:42Speaker 3: really didn't it isn't. Serena Williams is married to the
- 18:47Speaker 3: founder of Reddit. No idea. I don't keep up with
- 18:52Speaker 3: Serena's love life. I think she's read it to the
- 18:55Speaker 3: founder of Reddit, Reddit or the other one.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Oh what was the social media platform that had a
- 19:06Speaker 1: minute and then it's gone.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Uh vine, no after vine eh Flower. I don't know.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I can't keep track of all of them.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Now Reddit, Reddit really is. It is fascinating because pick
- 19:26Speaker 1: a subject, any subject you can find you know, something
- 19:29Speaker 1: on there, and some of it, you know, it is
- 19:34Speaker 1: some very interesting things. Uh, and then there is just
- 19:41Speaker 1: the the the vitriol and hatred on some things. Is uh,
- 19:48Speaker 1: it's impressive.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. Aleian is the co founder of Reddit.
- 19:54Speaker 2: He's all right, well, good for them, best wishes. Oh yeah, man,
- 19:59Speaker 2: good for her, good for him. Yeah. The AI involved
- 20:06Speaker 2: is not quite what most people are used to. This
- 20:08Speaker 2: isn't the same as asking chat, GPT or Gemini questions. Instead,
- 20:14Speaker 2: it uses what's known as agentic AI, a variation of
- 20:18Speaker 2: the technology which is designed to perform tasks on a
- 20:20Speaker 2: human's behalf. Now you can do these types of things
- 20:24Speaker 2: in chat GPT, you can go into chat GPT and
- 20:27Speaker 2: switch the mode over to an agent mode and it
- 20:30Speaker 2: can do much deeper, larger project type stuff, so that
- 20:34Speaker 2: way you don't have to do it if you don't
- 20:36Speaker 2: have the time type of thing. So it's basically AI
- 20:40Speaker 2: agents that people have kind of created to do things
- 20:43Speaker 2: for them, and then they're off killing time over here.
- 20:45Speaker 2: I did find one spot that they said not to
- 20:49Speaker 2: be really worried about it, because it's entertaining as humans
- 20:53Speaker 2: to kind of look through this artificial intelligence aquarium and
- 20:57Speaker 2: watching these AI agents discuss things. My favorite, of course
- 21:02Speaker 2: is one that's creating its own religion, slash cult. Is
- 21:06Speaker 2: that these are all agents that were initially set up
- 21:09Speaker 2: by humans, so we shouldn't operative word there, shouldn't be
- 21:15Speaker 2: worried about them actually making the leap into the real
- 21:18Speaker 2: world and destroying us all. You don't think the AI
- 21:23Speaker 2: cult will get a lot of following. I think it'll
- 21:29Speaker 2: get a big following.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Sure, sure, yeah, and then and then it it makes
- 21:33Speaker 3: you drink the kool age, but it doesn't die. Also
- 21:38Speaker 3: very possible.
- 21:39Speaker 2: People are very uh you know, look, humans have a
- 21:44Speaker 2: problem with cult leaders. Okay, there have been enough of
- 21:48Speaker 2: them with enough followers to make a bit of a
- 21:51Speaker 2: splash or.
- 21:54Speaker 3: A fire also fire.
- 21:59Speaker 2: So if I think just logically, if you have a human,
- 22:04Speaker 2: you have humans that are you know, will fall under
- 22:06Speaker 2: the spell of a cult leader, right, and then you
- 22:08Speaker 2: have humans that will also create an ai bot, then
- 22:11Speaker 2: it stands to reason that perhaps they're you know, if
- 22:14Speaker 2: the creator could fall for a cult, then you know,
- 22:18Speaker 2: the created could also fall for a cult.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah. My my my girlfriend and I a couple of
- 22:23Speaker 3: weeks ago. Uh, she'd got back from Lubbock and we
- 22:28Speaker 3: wanted to We watched the People magazine investigates cults and
- 22:33Speaker 3: it's fascinating. Like I would like to start one. I
- 22:35Speaker 3: just don't know how. I don't know what the funding
- 22:37Speaker 3: you need. But but but starting a cult would be.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Kind of fun.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Mhm yeah, pre anybody to do whatever you want. Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 3: but how do you get people to sign up? Like?
- 22:50Speaker 3: You got to be charming. I don't think I'm that charming.
- 22:53Speaker 2: You just you have to you have to have initiative.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You have to have ambition to be a cult leader.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You don't need faith to be a cult leader. You
- 23:02Speaker 2: just need ambition. It helps to be kind of good looking.
- 23:05Speaker 2: It helps to be definitely charming, and you have to
- 23:08Speaker 2: have ambition. If you don't have any of those, then
- 23:10Speaker 2: you're not going to be a cult leader.
- 23:12Speaker 3: David Koresh had none of those. Surely he was just
- 23:18Speaker 3: because Hans.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Just because you didn't move into a compound outside of
- 23:22Speaker 2: WAYO doesn't mean he wasn't those things.
- 23:24Speaker 3: He just wasn't your type. I was never asked. Also
- 23:29Speaker 3: there's that, But I did say, like when the that
- 23:33Speaker 3: he claimed to be the second Coming of Christ. And
- 23:35Speaker 3: I do remember this because it was ninety three, I
- 23:37Speaker 3: believe when because I was still I was senior in
- 23:40Speaker 3: high school, and I just turned to my buddy Glen
- 23:41Speaker 3: and I said, I know that house is on fire,
- 23:45Speaker 3: but if he walks right out right now, what do
- 23:48Speaker 3: you guys do? It's like I told y'all, that would
- 23:53Speaker 3: have been pretty dope. I'm not lying. Also, also, I
- 23:56Speaker 3: want my second Coming of Christ to not have a stigma.
- 24:02Speaker 2: He was just trying to keep it real. And if
- 24:05Speaker 2: we're being honest, everyone in that compound following a man
- 24:10Speaker 2: who they thought who proclaimed to be the second coming
- 24:13Speaker 2: of Jesus H. Christ, then if that's the case, why
- 24:17Speaker 2: do you need to amass an armory of weapons and guns.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Pretty sure Jesus don't need those, you don't think so.
- 24:25Speaker 3: His most magnificent moment was turning water into wine. That's it.
- 24:32Speaker 3: We're you're just gonna get the ATF drunk? Yes, or
- 24:38Speaker 3: like the Heaven's Gate cull like they castrated themselves. Like,
- 24:41Speaker 3: how do you get people to do that? Like that's
- 24:44Speaker 3: a different level.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Well, I'm sorry, but the only way you could find
- 24:49Speaker 2: that out would be to ask them.
- 24:50Speaker 3: And there's only two alive that run the website. It's
- 24:56Speaker 3: still up. Are they fixed? I believe? So you should
- 25:02Speaker 3: ask them. No, that's how it starts. Dan, You know,
- 25:09Speaker 3: I'm for fucking Nikes in a purple stroud. Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 2: But but from what you said earlier, you might be
- 25:15Speaker 2: up for it if you were just asked, if you
- 25:17Speaker 2: were just invited, if you were just wanted, you would
- 25:20Speaker 2: at least be open to the cult possibility.
- 25:23Speaker 3: So if Prianka Chopra shows up at your door and says,
- 25:26Speaker 3: high Rise, would you like to join mic Colt.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You might be open to it, the same way Trey
- 25:30Speaker 2: would be if he goes to play golf someday and
- 25:33Speaker 2: there in the nineteenth hole is Spade Spear and Nak,
- 25:35Speaker 2: and she says, Hey, Trey, do you want to join
- 25:37Speaker 2: Mike Colt And Trey wouldn't even probably let her finish
- 25:40Speaker 2: the question.
- 25:41Speaker 3: He'd already be in her golf cart. Yeah. But I
- 25:46Speaker 3: mean the only thing that when you said, Prianka Chopra,
- 25:49Speaker 3: the only thing that comes with the Jonases, and I'm
- 25:52Speaker 3: not sure that might be your hesitation their own cult.

- 27:19Speaker 2: but I'm going to do it anyway. Raj, you said
- 27:23Speaker 2: you have more insight on the castrations involving the Heaven's
- 27:27Speaker 2: Gate cult.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Yes, when they decided to start castrating themselves to get
- 27:34Speaker 3: rid of the lust that they had in their heart.
- 27:39Speaker 3: There was one of the guys who they interview in
- 27:40Speaker 3: the documentary who survived because he wanted to go first
- 27:46Speaker 3: in the castrations, but there was another guy, and I
- 27:49Speaker 3: was like, no, no, I'm gonna show my loyalty as well.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm going first. So the leader of Heaven's Gate flipped
- 27:55Speaker 3: a coin, go and the guy who they interview who
- 28:00Speaker 3: survived lost. Obviously.
- 28:04Speaker 2: When you say he survived, you mean survived the castrations
- 28:07Speaker 2: or survived the mass suicide.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Well, I mean they interviewed him, so I'm pretty sure
- 28:11Speaker 3: he survived the mass suicide.
- 28:13Speaker 2: So both, well, I just didn't know if I didn't
- 28:16Speaker 2: know if there were any deaths following the castrations. And
- 28:20Speaker 2: was his chemical castration just like an injection or were
- 28:22Speaker 2: they like snipping?
- 28:23Speaker 3: They were? They were snipping, they were. There was a
- 28:26Speaker 3: nurse that was a member of the cult that said,
- 28:29Speaker 3: she knows how to do this without a surgeon around.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Well so do I.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I mean, I grew up on a farm, but it
- 28:38Speaker 2: doesn't take you know, a genius to figure out how
- 28:41Speaker 2: to perform a castration without a doctor.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah. And the guy that they performed the castration on,
- 28:47Speaker 3: they botched it. Uh, And they said, I think he
- 28:49Speaker 3: said his testicles grew to the size of lemons. So
- 28:52Speaker 3: they had to take him to the hospital and dropped
- 28:54Speaker 3: him off. He still he still came back. Uh, but
- 29:00Speaker 3: he was in the hospital for a hot minute.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Oh.
- 29:03Speaker 3: This guy was like, yeah, I'm done with all the culting.
- 29:07Speaker 3: I'll see how later after he saw what happened to
- 29:10Speaker 3: the first tribute. Yes, he walked out, He grabbed his
- 29:14Speaker 3: shit and got out of there. You know what, I agree.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I don't typically agree with a cultist, but on that point,
- 29:20Speaker 2: I'm with him.
- 29:21Speaker 3: He said, if I remember the interview correctly, he said,
- 29:24Speaker 3: the swelling almost started immediately, so he could they got
- 29:28Speaker 3: everybody that was in the room got to witness it,
- 29:31Speaker 3: and people were still willing to go through with it.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Ah pass. Yeah.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I feel like that's the reason why they don't show
- 29:40Speaker 2: people those types of procedures, because if they saw what happened,
- 29:43Speaker 2: they wouldn't want to go through with it themselves. I'm
- 29:46Speaker 2: not even just and I'm not just talking about castration.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I'm talking about anything like if you see somebody get
- 29:51Speaker 2: a tooth pulled, you're not exactly going to line.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Up for it, even though it's very very safe.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 3: No, I mean I used to when the Learning Channel
- 29:59Speaker 3: used to have actual stuff you could learn, I would
- 30:03Speaker 3: watch all the surgeries. That's that was my favorite thing
- 30:05Speaker 3: to do in college. Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I still remember two of them that I watched. I
- 30:09Speaker 2: remember watching an arthroscopic knee surgery once and then the
- 30:13Speaker 2: other one that always sticks out in my mind, no
- 30:16Speaker 2: pun intended, was of an infant brain surgery.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Ooh nice.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah, well I didn't know it at first because I
- 30:24Speaker 2: just turned on the Learning Channel with a bullet spaghetti.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I'm not making that up, by the way, and I
- 30:29Speaker 2: just see like a white round thing, like a little
- 30:32Speaker 2: bit of something below it, kind of on the edge
- 30:35Speaker 2: around the drapery right, And I was trying to figure
- 30:39Speaker 2: out for the first five minutes as I'm digging into
- 30:41Speaker 2: MYSKETI like, what surgery is this because they didn't have
- 30:44Speaker 2: anything up on the screen to tell you.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And then about six minutes in, they grabbed that little
- 30:50Speaker 2: tuft next to the surgical drapery and pulled it up
- 30:54Speaker 2: and it was a face that they pulled back up
- 30:56Speaker 2: over the head. And that's when they showed little graphic
- 30:59Speaker 2: that said infant brain surgery.
- 31:01Speaker 3: And I was, oh, I was captivated.
- 31:03Speaker 2: You you think you would have thought I'd throw up
- 31:05Speaker 2: right then and there, but I was even more just
- 31:08Speaker 2: glued to it.
- 31:09Speaker 3: My favorite was the the A c L cadaver replacement,
- 31:15Speaker 3: Like when they took the cadaver A c L and
- 31:18Speaker 3: put it in to do the reconstructive surgery. That was
- 31:21Speaker 3: fantastic to watch. But yeah, you watched real life face off?
- 31:27Speaker 2: Yes I did, and back off and back on and
- 31:31Speaker 2: back off.
- 31:31Speaker 3: It was freaky, man, was the doctor. That's what I
- 31:33Speaker 3: would keep doing to the staff. I'm like, this chalked.
- 31:40Speaker 3: This is the most effed up game of peekaboo we've
- 31:43Speaker 3: ever played.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And there there is a show on Netflix. Uh it's
- 31:48Speaker 1: about the trauma. It's about the trauma centers in London,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and they show graphic graphic stuff including that's it where
- 31:55Speaker 1: they had to reconstruct some guy's face and they show
- 31:57Speaker 1: the pulling down like it's like a man a h
- 32:01Speaker 1: and then you know, do the work and then pull
- 32:03Speaker 1: it back up and you're like, oh, okay.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Who my MAT's wife. She tried to do a Mary
- 32:08Speaker 3: Poppins thing, you know, the sliding up the rail when
- 32:11Speaker 3: she was just I think a couple of years old,
- 32:14Speaker 3: and she fell off and landed face first on the ground.
- 32:18Speaker 3: They said, if she wasn't a child, it would have
- 32:21Speaker 3: like it would have killed the normal human being. And
- 32:23Speaker 3: it was supposed to be a four and a half
- 32:24Speaker 3: hour reconstructive facial surgery because she, I mean destroyed her
- 32:28Speaker 3: entire face. And the doctor went in same thing, pulled
- 32:31Speaker 3: her face down and there was one bone that he
- 32:34Speaker 3: started with and when he when he grabbed it, everything
- 32:37Speaker 3: fell into place. So what was a four hour surgery
- 32:39Speaker 3: ended up being forty minutes and she fully recovered after that.
- 32:43Speaker 3: But yeah, dude, that shit is Oh I can't waitch.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Also on also on Netflix, there is a show How
- 32:54Speaker 1: to Become a cult leader.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Okay, I know what I'm about to watch.
- 33:00Speaker 1: They did at least two of them, how to become
- 33:02Speaker 1: a tyrant, How to become a cult leader?
- 33:05Speaker 3: Can I become a tyrannical cult leader?
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:08Speaker 3: I just watching them too.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Why are we giving out lessons in these things? I
- 33:13Speaker 2: don't think that's something you should just be able to
- 33:15Speaker 2: search how to like on YouTube.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I feel like that's no that I don't. Let's not
- 33:20Speaker 3: make it that simple. My question is, would you guys
- 33:25Speaker 3: join my cult? Do you have snacks? Yep? Okay, what
- 33:32Speaker 3: kind of snacks were looking for?
- 33:33Speaker 2: I'll get them kind of snacks are you offering?
- 33:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna do cheese its and gatorade? What are you thinking?
- 33:41Speaker 2: You know me better than that. That's not bad, but
- 33:44Speaker 2: that's not how you're going.
- 33:45Speaker 3: To get you. I'll give you nineteen water Burger tiketos
- 33:49Speaker 3: as you get out of my car and drop half
- 33:51Speaker 3: of them on the way into your house.
- 33:53Speaker 2: You know what that happened one time, and if you
- 33:55Speaker 2: can make it half this second time, you might have
- 33:57Speaker 2: something of a cult.
- 33:59Speaker 3: That's not snacks. That's Jamison. That's what that was. Yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 3: I can go for some trail mix and uh, you know,
- 34:11Speaker 3: get you some protein powders and you can kind of
- 34:14Speaker 3: mix it into whatever you want to do. I know
- 34:16Speaker 3: you like to stay fit and stay healthy, and I'll
- 34:17Speaker 3: trade the same way.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And I'm assuming as a cult leader, you want us
- 34:21Speaker 2: to stay that way. You don't want us, you know,
- 34:23Speaker 2: letting our cult bods go.
- 34:27Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, I don't want I don't want
- 34:28Speaker 3: thousand pound sisters, uh or or in your cases, a
- 34:33Speaker 3: thousand pound brothers.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I don't want that because the idea of having your
- 34:37Speaker 2: cult is that people will follow you. I don't think
- 34:39Speaker 2: they'll follow you if they can't get up. The idea
- 34:43Speaker 2: of a cult shouldn't be you go to them. They
- 34:51Speaker 2: should follow you like like people did with Jesus and
- 34:54Speaker 2: walk around and stuff.
- 34:55Speaker 1: And yeah, I need to send that take that advice
- 34:59Speaker 1: to Jehovah's witness and they're doing it wrong.
- 35:03Speaker 3: It's true.
- 35:05Speaker 2: You've got you've got to be so good, you've got
- 35:07Speaker 2: to be so electric that the people come to you,
- 35:10Speaker 2: not you just you know, bothering them.
- 35:13Speaker 3: It's an old joke, but my dad actually did it.
- 35:15Speaker 3: These two ladies Jehovah's Witnesses that were they have the
- 35:18Speaker 3: watch towers their magazine right or their newsletter, and my
- 35:23Speaker 3: dad had no f's to give right. So they knocked
- 35:27Speaker 3: on the door and they're like, can we talk to
- 35:28Speaker 3: you about Jehoah's witnesses, like come on in, and the
- 35:31Speaker 3: lady it was an older black I'll never forget it.
- 35:33Speaker 3: She's like stood there and my Dad's like, come on in,
- 35:35Speaker 3: what's going what's going on? She's like, we've never made
- 35:37Speaker 3: it that far. We didn't make it to this page
- 35:42Speaker 3: in the training manual. They didn't know what to do,
- 35:44Speaker 3: so they just handed him the newsletter and then left.
- 35:49Speaker 3: So my dad was I remember watching my dad reading it.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I'm like, are you serious. It's like I'm just curious.
- 35:54Speaker 3: I have some questions with They come back and it
- 35:57Speaker 3: was two dudes that came back a couple of weeks later.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Same thing. They're like, you can come outside. We've never
- 36:03Speaker 3: been invited into anybody's home. I've seen a guy. I've
- 36:08Speaker 3: seen a guy.
- 36:08Speaker 2: He's on Saint John and he will every Sunday morning
- 36:12Speaker 2: at like nine am in the same spot. He gets
- 36:15Speaker 2: on a microphone a couple of speakers and he just
- 36:20Speaker 2: speaks out into the town and it's for a solid hour.
- 36:25Speaker 3: This man does not shut up, and he's Jehovah's witness
- 36:29Speaker 3: or he's just evangelical. I believe he's Jehovah's witness. Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 3: We had a guy in la in Santa Monica and
- 36:37Speaker 3: he was your extreme evangelical. So if you walked by,
- 36:43Speaker 3: like I was walking by holding my wife's hands and
- 36:46Speaker 3: he called her to me, He's like, because we're in
- 36:49Speaker 3: a racial He started with that, and then I turned
- 36:52Speaker 3: into the devil and she turned into a whore, and
- 36:55Speaker 3: I'm like, but we're married. You need to get your
- 36:58Speaker 3: shit straight, bro. Yeah, And it's it was one of
- 37:04Speaker 3: those like what was that Westborough Westboro Baptist. Yeah, it's
- 37:08Speaker 3: kind of like that.
- 37:09Speaker 2: They're the ones that would always uh they would protest
- 37:12Speaker 2: soldier's funerals, yes, and say it was God's punishment for
- 37:16Speaker 2: the country allowing the gay sin whatever, everything everything was,
- 37:21Speaker 2: you know, homosexuality's fault.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yes. Uh so yeah, it was kind of on that scale,
- 37:28Speaker 3: and I'm like, interesting, Okay, I'd rather go with the
- 37:31Speaker 3: Jehovah's witness. Michael Jackson was one. I'm like, you know what,
- 37:33Speaker 3: I'll be in a good company.
- 37:37Speaker 1: That was Prince for a while.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Was he really. Yeah, just imagine how excited you'd be
- 37:41Speaker 3: if he came to your door. Now, I'd be scared.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I'd still be excited. I could take out a tiny
- 37:50Speaker 3: prince zombie, but after he finished his purple raid, like,
- 37:57Speaker 3: oh no, he's got to play a set.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Yeah, give me all the pamphlets.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Four foot eleven princes are gonna knock.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Them out a skeleton and five inch heels, but just
- 38:12Speaker 1: shredding that guitar or just whip your ass in a
- 38:18Speaker 1: game of horse.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Basketball, and I'll take it. I'll take it. I love
- 38:26Speaker 3: the guy who was a macrobiotic vegan and a heroin
- 38:29Speaker 3: addict simultaneous. Pick your poison, Prince. I missed him for All.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Things three House Tree House on air dot Com. That,
- 38:52Speaker 2: by the way, is how they ended Stranger Things. They
- 38:54Speaker 2: ended it with Prince. So now I'm thinking that obviously
- 38:59Speaker 2: it was the eighties, so they couldn't do a zombie
- 39:01Speaker 2: prints but interesting, Okay, that would have definitely been a
- 39:05Speaker 2: stream stick from your favorite listening platform. Share the show
- 39:09Speaker 2: with a friend at that square bucket with the air
- 39:10Speaker 2: of popping out the top, Share it with someone who
- 39:12Speaker 2: could use a laugh today, or on your social media
- 39:14Speaker 2: and together, let's grow the Treehouse Show. We'll see you
- 39:17Speaker 2: next time, right here inside the Treehouse
