- Nate: Tonight on the North American Friends Movie Club. A washed up scientist. A pregnant journalist. And the hunt for the elusive Jaguar shark. We watch the 2004 adventure comedy drama film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zisu. So slip into an extra tight wetsuit. And dive into the beautiful ocean of cinema. Because we're the most popular podcast on all seven C. And this show is our powerful honing dart. This is what it sounds like when we do a podcast. We're currently doing one. This is the North American Friends Movie Club, and you might notice something about the name of our show. And that's Friends Comes Before Movie Club because it's simply more important to us. It's as important to us as water is to the ocean. It's true. So I gotta ask my two little submersible machines. How we do it. That's yeah. That we we are submersible machines. We get because I went deep. No kidding. Right? Yeah. And we all do. Yeah. ⁓ we haven't talked in a long time, guys. We're out of our rhythm. I got a I got a long list. I almost never have a long list, but it's been so long that I have a long list. Well, let's let's hop to it. And ⁓ I would love to tell you guys what's been happening. Tell us what's been happening. Tell us what's been happening. Thank you. So I did have my event and it did great, and I learned a lot about putting on events. ⁓ the space I used was beautiful, except it was very echoey. And it was beautiful because it was very bright, which is great. However, when you're projecting on the wall, you don't want it to be bright. And so ⁓ next time I will know that. But fortunately everybody had their slides in front of ⁓ and Wait, wait, wait, wait. What you mean you don't want a bright? Are you guys insinuating color has something to do with echo? No, she's talking about this for the projector for the slides. ⁓ two different issues. Yeah. Two different issues. Okay. I missed that. One issue, echo. Second issue, bright white wall. Mm-hmm. That's when you look at Nick and say, Nick, boom, Joanne's fabrics get me a big thing of black. Maybe one day we'll be there. I that's not where we were Sunday, but I won't have to deal with this again because I'm not gonna do it at that location again. So too echoey. Too bright. I texted you guys after I ordered my chicuterie board. I gotta tell you. I'm was I'm actually more excited and proud of myself about that chicuterie board order. It was a work of art. I gotta be honest with you. It was a work of art. I texted Kate and Nate and I wrote little group chat and I texted her after a little Perusing her choices and I said she was like a manager in the playoffs, putting together a lineup. Everything was there for a reason. There was no wasted space. Everything picked up ⁓ each other like good teammates, just delicious. No fruit. No fruit. No fruit. Don't need it. No filler. Don't need it. Not on a charcuterie plate. No, this is meats and cheeses and nuts and olives in the thing. The winner was the fig spread. ⁓ man. You had a couple of fig pigs? I'm the figgy piggy. I'm the Okay. So it's it was such a large I got the largest size you can buy. And I knew because I didn't want it to I didn't like the look of like it there being a board with nothing on it eventually. I wanted there to be the assumption of Abundance at all times. Abundance. I like this. Yeah. No. He did the jerk off motion. I wish that we had an opposite jerk-off motion that I could use as a spell against it to be like, no, you're right. You said started it off you said this ⁓ no filler, no fruit, and then immediately followed up with the most popular thing was fig spread, which is not only a fruit, it's a multiple fruit. No, it's a processed product. A fruit A fruit is just jam. You know, it's a just a rubbery strawberry dripping its juices on your pr prosciutto. ⁓ wow. Right. Right. Exactly. That was that's the horniest thing ever said on this show. That is that was. So I had this giant chiccuterie board and of course I it wasn't finished. I have been I've eaten multiple meals from that and been so happy. Hell yeah. Yeah. ⁓ I was actually kind of jealous when you were showed the leftover plate. I was like, ⁓ I would love that. I would love to have free rain at a charcuterie. This is no, we've talked about this, Nate. Like this is right up our alley where you already have the food. You're just like, there's no preparation. It's already there. You can mix and match, wrap things around other things. The brie that was on there was freaking delicious. And you can like shmear brie on things. ⁓ I love the schmear brie. And then ⁓ the caramelized walnuts. Nobody touched the mustard, which I don't like. I tried it. I didn't love it. It would be better on a sandwich. You didn't you haven't made any little sandwiches? Not yet. I mean, I have no, I haven't been making sandwiches because the crackers are the one thing that ha did not hold up. 'Cause so they've gotten soggy. There's not a Christmas to the crackers anymore. So that's an issue. That's a shame. Because if you were to do this at home, you would not be refrigerating the crackers with the meats and cheeses. The crackers would be separate. I didn't like dry goods. The the salami was displayed like a little vagina. And I didn't like that. It was a flower. The per one of the participants said that it was a sombrero. So well. That's a that participant was pure of heart. Well maybe they call vaginas the the sombrero of the lady. Maybe they do, Brent. They don't know that. Maybe they do. I so ⁓ Jules got cool pink hair for school. Hell yeah. So that's very cool. Full pink or pink highlight? The back it's like the back inside. So like if she put her hair up in a ponytail, you're gonna see it. I know that's cool. So that's the cool way to do it right now. As the coolest person on the show, I I ⁓ officially say that's cool. Thank you. I'll let her know. I'll let her know. Thank you. I watched the Travis Barker Doc. So like the I'm kind of in my daughter's bringing me into like a more punk era. And so the Travis Barker Doc, ⁓ he got in a bad car p he got in a bad plane accident. And everyone in his life that day, like his daughter was like crying and like, Daddy, you can't go on this plane. And he had this feeling like something's bad gonna is gonna happen. And he like called his dad, and his dad was like, You shouldn't do this or whatever. And then the plane, he got in the plane crash. And I'm like, How many, like how many do you need? Can't do it. Yeah. Right. I could ignore one, but if I got multiple family members. Telling me about omens, I'm gonna respect the omens. For real. Okay, so he's talking about his injuries, and then they cut to Travis Barker's doctor. It literally says that's like the guy's name, Travis Barker's doctor, like Dr. Da da da. This doctor is wearing like the famous t shirt, you know, his F that he has, like his street style t shirt. And a DC skating cap on, and looks like I would go buy weed from him. Yeah. Like that is who like that makes I mean that checks out for Travis Parker, he's got like a blink one eighty two doctor. Nick and I didn't even look at each other and we both started laughing at the same time out loud. Yeah. You have a party dentist? That's true. That's true. I forgot about the party dentist. I don't see him anymore. I don't see Dr. Dan. Okay. Dan the Dr. Dan the dentist who goes to ⁓ what's the thing in the middle of the he goes to Burning Man. Burning Man dentist, yeah. Yeah. he wears normal clothes. Like he's kind of like Superman, where Yeah. He keeps his identity secret. I wonder if his I wonder if his Burning Man costume like incorporates teeth. Like he's got a tooth necklace or like a tooth vest, you know? Tooth vest, yeah. Tooth vests. ⁓ okay, I also found a show called Ozark Law. and Ozark Law takes place in ⁓ the Missouri Ozarks, and so I and there's multiple episodes. and they pull over a guy for not having any license plates and they're like searching through his car. And he didn't find anything. And then a police officer goes through all of the things that like the paraphernalia that they would be looking for. And one of them is called Tudor Scrolls. And he's like, we didn't find any Tudor Scrolls. And I don't know what tutor scrolls are. And I'm not Googling it. Yeah, this is I like I like us just having to figure like just live with that for a while. I feel like I'm gonna wake up one night at like three a.m. and be that's what a tutor scroll is. I'm gonna I have to Google it. Don't tell us. Because he was like we didn't we didn't find any aluminum, we didn't find any pipes, and we didn't we didn't find Tudor Scrolls. No plutonium, no tutor scrolls. I mean one would imagine it's just like Papers? Or I don't know. That's what it scrolls to me is like, but anyway. I yeah, the internet's up in arms about it, but no one ⁓ the internet doesn't even know. Okay, good. Is it related to meth? We don't know. The internet doesn't know. ⁓ man. Okay. I would accept the answer in the form of an email during an email segment. North American Friends Movie Club at gmail dot com. If someone knows what tutor scrolls are, yeah, there's gotta be some kind of a bank redneck. listener that listens to us? Yeah. ⁓ yeah. What about the guy who's driving through the hauler? ⁓ Jody. Yeah, he lives in North Carolina. Yeah. Jody might know what a Tudor scroll is. He ⁓ and any meth users maybe? I'm I bad there's probably many. ⁓ I say we have some. I bet there's two. Or some reformed ones, you know? We for sure have sober past drug users listening, but I don't know I bet we have no more than three active meth users. Yeah, I'd say that's that'd gonna be high even for us, to be honest. Create a if you are ⁓ an active meth user and you listen to the show regularly, make a burner account and email us at ⁓ our email address and we'll do a tally. I feel like it would be hard for someone who's like moving As fast as a meth user is moving to make a new ⁓ no, I was gonna say to listen to a movie podcast where it takes forty five minutes before we start talking about the movie. Like I just feel like that would like you just you just feel like you're spinning your wheels. Maybe they're listening to like dubstack behind us. Okay Apex twins or whatever. Exactly. And then also us. ⁓ you guys yesterday was a terrible day. ⁓ no. ⁓ no. Dolly Purton died. ⁓ And Tim Curry died. And Tim Curry died today. Tim Curry. It's a big bad day for the white. It's a bad week for the whites. I mean, Dolly's a lot sadder because Tim was so sick. Like if you I saw him in an interview and he was like really he had had a stroke. Or a stroke. It was a stroke. Yeah. And he was he was he was struggling a lot. Dolly, that caught me by surprise because she was like in a music video last year. She's like still kicking. Yeah. ⁓ my sister wanted me to ask you, Kate, if anybody has Dolly Parton or Tim Curry in the death pool. Both. Wow. So ⁓ Jenna, ⁓ the the commissioner. Let me pull it up. The commish. She's the commissioner. ⁓ her name's on the ball. She has the most points that have ever been Wow. She's been She's been a little upset. This been a high this this has been a high achieving year because Leah had James Vanderbeek and Hayden Pantiere. Wow. Hayden? Wow. Hayden must be that must be like points, points. We clock we're a bunch of mental health professionals. We clocked that a while ago. Wow. So that's how you get these points, is if you yeah. I find that very impressive. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, it is. I think that w I think we should do one for Jan in January. I don't know how I feel about this because I feel so loyal to my other death pool. ⁓ but I I am open I'm open to thinking about it. I'll th maybe I'll maybe I'll ⁓ do we'll do a different pool. Instead of death we'll do something else. Do life. Life pool. Who has a baby and you they can't be pregnant yet? They can't have ⁓ I don't mind that. Baby pool? Life pool? That's cute. We got to have a baby in 2027. And who we get to I like that idea. Celebrities that get engaged. That's hard. Yeah, baby's better. Okay. We had it. We had a first we had a first go. Yep. Life will coming at you in January. A hat on a hat. To tie it up, Dolly died, which we hate. And Dolly really represented love and authenticity. And so everybody There's gonna be a lot of people dressing up like Dolly for Halloween, which is great. And also, I don't know if you guys have heard this, but in America, Halloween night, we've all agreed that we're gonna cut down all the flock cameras. Good. Yeah. Because everybody's gonna be in costume. Yep, yep. It's maybe f the flock camera things made me feel great, actually, because it has it's one of the few things that crosses all Party affiliation and political, like everybody hates the flock camera. And everybody hates the data center. So I'm like, we're coming back together. We're coming all of us are coming back together. Okay. So I like the idea that there'll just be a bunch of Dolly Partons cutting down flock cameras. You gonna get down there, flock camera. Don't be looking at me. That's right. Dolly Parton, it was also universally adored by all parties. Right. True. And the flags are going to half mess, which I which I think is right. Deserved. So that's what happened. And that's what happened. And that's what happened. That's what happened. So Kate reminded me she talked about jewels going to school and that's like kind of her job. And then I was thinking, like, it just occurred to me, homework is bullshit. Mm-hmm. There should never ever be. I've felt that my whole life, Brent. Cause you go to work, you go if you school is your job, you're off the clock at three o'clock or whatever time you get out. Shouldn't have to take work home with you. Yeah, a lot of us do though. That's not healthy. Never do that. Mostly does it all the time. It's not healthy. ⁓ I mentioned in our group chat I've been really watching a lot of videos of this Indian man cutting up fish. Yeah, what is what's going on? What's going on that? I wish I could tell ya. I was hoping you guys could tell me. I just Well I make maybe it's a respect for technique. Like I can watch hunters, even though I'm have been a vegetarian for twenty years. I'm like, I could watch a hunter and then watch him field dress the meat. I'm like, it's it takes a skill. There's a skill to it that I respect. I think it's my curiosity of fish. ⁓ not with this guy. This guy, I just it's gross. I mean, that apron and that one glove he wears. And it's just multiple different kinds of fish on the same board. And then the algorithm will like play ⁓ then on another video of a n a different Indian man, and then I'm like, no, I don't want that different Indian man. I just want this guy. And he's very accurate. You taught your algorithm? I just keep going until I find him again. He's very accurate with his blows. He cuts off ⁓ What I find impressive is he's able to rip the guts out with the knife at different angles. Yeah. All white talking. And they're just they're you know, they're cutting up all the Is he looking at it? Sometimes. Yeah. Yeah. Probably but probably the minimum amount required. Like he is literally only looking when he needs to like get his knife in there and then he's it's all muscle. It's all feel. They're not doesn't that feel good when you get like that with anything? Like when you're just like that was like when you're slicing a fish without looking. When I was taking blood parking. ⁓ I could I'm always looking at people in the car because I'm like, watch how good I am at this. Damn. Excellent and Brent with the needles, is that what you're saying? Giving him the needles taking the blood. But I was obviously You've talked about that. You were like talking to a woman and doing it while looking at her or something. I don't know if that's probably that's I don't know. It's no I like aggressive, but maybe they are comfortable. They're comfortable. If I can have a conversation with them, there's been times where I was where I was so focused on the vein because it was tiny and it would if you moved a little bit. One time I think I s I told this story, I was staring at the where I had to go and I went to grab the ⁓ the alcohol swipe and rip it and wipe it area, but it was sugar package. And I just got sugar on them. That is very funny, and I don't think you've ever told us that. Yeah, I think I would have remembered that. Yeah. I opened it above her elbow and just all the sugar came out. Well, cause I feel like you should the density As a professional, you should have known something was off you're like, nah, the density of this packet is not quite right. It was a sweet and low, so it was very alcoholic. Okay. I take it back. I take it back. It was very similar to an alcohol wipe. And there was another time. That's like if you were a clown and it's a gag. You're like a clown that's pretending to take my dog and pouring it in and then yeah. there were I was doing a home collection one time and I s taken my stuff from the car into the home and I forgot to take ⁓ a cotton swab or cotton ball to put on the thing and she was on blood thinners, so I I was like, ⁓ shoot, I don't have so we used a piece of bread that was on the table. ⁓ that's good. Did it work? Like I almost switched to bread exclusively moving forward. That's how well it worked. It worked so well. Yeah, very confident in the needle. So he's very com I I just I don't know what it is about the fish guy. They're they have his different buckets to his sides, and they're not showing what goes in the buckets, but there's a there's a system and there's a method to it, and I need to learn more about that. heavily into Dune, book three. ⁓ Well three? Yeah, I think. Well, I'm at the part where sh in the book where she's drinking the the blue water to become the lady. So it's like halfway through the second movie. Okay, but still the first book just dude. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's but it's broken down in books, like there's fifteen chapters in each book, or something like that. ⁓ okay. Yeah, yeah. ⁓ turns out that knowing what happens in Dune One really s makes Dune Two easier to understand movie wise. Yeah. I you did you that was a d difficult task to try to understand Dune Two without watching Dune one. Yeah, I I understand a lot now, a lot more than what I did. And it just made me like it a lot more. I almost is and to the point now where I'm very upset with the people that say ⁓ that you listen to audio book is not reading. I'm willing to say reading is for sad losers who don't like to be entertained. My God. Audiobooks are ⁓ so so much it's so better. Especially when you got you got multiple voices doing different characters and they're making different sounds and they're making the noises ⁓ in the background. There's like pan flutes. This is a production, this doom audiobook. This sounds like a play. It sounds like a play, Nate. It's you like to be entertained. Who wants to read multiple characters? You are absorbing information and processing it, which is exactly what reading is. And it's you're doing it in your own stupid voice for all the parents. Hey, I'm not I think it's great. I call it reading. It's how I absorb most of my books right now. But I I would argue it is very different. And I learn more when I am reading it with my eyes. Like I can obt like I don't know. That is a big insult to blind people. I'm speaking for myself. Other people probably take it in better just by listening to it. I do best with both. I want to hear it and like if I really wanted to like ⁓ like download information, you know, like I would be reading it while listening to it. My favorite bit we do. I could disagree more. Readings for sad losers. Audio reading. Because it's called audio books. They're not even just called books. They're called Audio Reading sounds like something that would be in Dune too, right? Yeah, it does. This is post Dune Brent audio reading. Also post Dolly Brent PDB stands for. Yeah. ⁓ rest in peace. Rest in peace, Dolly. ⁓ the Yeah, the Hurricanes did h ha ha ha dirty. ⁓ they just threw him in the in the in the desert. I think and he died with a big blow up thing. That's doom. I've never I got some bad news. Like what kind of show are we doing? Two bad newses? Okay, what is it? Remember I had to go to the big city again? Mm-hmm. Well, it's not as big of the city as the other one I was in. It's right next to the big city. It likes to call itself a big city. And I'm What's the town name? Truro. Okay. And I'm putting them on putting them on blast. They talk a big game, like they want to be the big city. We're next to it's like Little Vegas. Like we're next to Halifax. We're this b you know what, Churro? Everything shuts down at ten o'clock. The only the only thing you can eat only thing you can eat at past ten o'clock is Dairy Queen. ⁓ not even pizza pies? There's pizza places, but Okay. So Jeremy's to c so Jeremy is refereeing there. We g and it's we walk from the hotel to the place he's refereeing, and I'll say, you know what? Well after we ref, we'll help out, and then we'll go and go out to eat and grab a drink. And that was the plan. So I start looking at places, I find this bar, and I'm like, this place is perfect. Good food. It's got a big long name. It's fancy cocktails. Not Big long name was funny. Yeah, big long name was funny. The wine is what does that even mean? It's got like three-word name, so I it's fancy. Okay. Okay. Yeah, it's not like Bucky's. Exactly. It was like Bucky's wine and Lady Elizabeth's Cafe. Wasn't Lady the Elizabeth Cafe. So you're eating at the L E C I'm sorry. Hold on. I'm sorry. It was funny, Brent. It has a three word name, pictures of all these fancy drinks. There's I I think there was one drink that was made with cactus. I'm like, this place is perfect. Jeremy's first real fancy shindig bar, after he referees, perfect. So I go there and we walk there afterwards and I walk in, I'm like, and she looks at the girl at the door looks at me weird. And I'm like, You guys serve food? Still, and she's like for seven more minutes. ⁓ so in other words, go fuck yourself. I was like, okay, we'll be back. So I look up and I'm walking all over downtown churro looking for something to neat. And there's the streets are deserted. It's like a ghost town. What's This is like 10 o'clock, five to ten. Saturday night. On a Saturday? Saturday night. Bang. Deadtown. Deadtown. ⁓ but it it comes off as this big bustling. It just it's so weird. Anyway, so we go to Dairy Queen. We eat a dairy queen and we go back to this bar and the there's nobody there. I'm like, this is weird. So the security guy looks at me, I'm like, why do they have security guy? And I said, Are you guys open? And he's like, Yeah, but there's a four dollar cover. And I was like, ⁓ yeah, that's no problem. And he's like, For both. I'm like, Yeah, we can handle the eight bucks, no worries. So I walk in and the woman looks at me again, we're like, ⁓ anyway, I pay. And we go sit down. Were there people there? Not really. So we go to the bar and I think Jeremy wanted to get a Paloma. And she's like, Well, we don't serve those cocktails after ten o'clock. I'm like, This is fucking the place in What? El Brother Art though. Fucking geographical oddity. Nothing happens past ten o'clock. It's like shut down. I'm like, what's going on? And so sh I said, Well she made him whiskey sour or something like that. And I get one too. So we drink that. And I was like, I'm just gonna get beer. 1030, this place turned in to I guess it's a college bar. ⁓ the oldest person besides me, maybe was twenty-three. ⁓ no, Brent. I'm so fucking washed. They were looking at me like I was a fucking That explains it why they were like They and then some of them just would come sit next to me and Jeremy close to us so they could observe me and what I was doing. I felt like the like an like an animal. Yes. I felt like the elephant man. And then I was like, ⁓ my God, maybe they think that I'm this fucking creepy guy. Creepy gay, creepy gay creepy gay guy with Jeremy College taking my little college boyfriend out. Like I'm a sugar daddy. No. And Jeremy called me. Chopped and was washed and he called me ancient and a fossil and cause he was laying it, he was just pouring on and he was really getting he's like don't even like he's like, Don't even get up to get drinks. I'll get the drinks for us because it's people be looking at you like you're a fucking weirdo. Yeah, like you're my gay sugar daddy. Man. Yeah. And then they were so drunk and they were all drinking fucking twisted teas. I was like, that's the drink now, apparently. This is a rough generation coming up. They they're they're cooked. ⁓ they're washed. I looked I made fun of them all. They all had the same. They are chopped. They're chopped unks. They have every single guy was dressed the same. T shirt What did they have on? What was what are they? T shirt, jeans. What c what color t shirt? Any t shirt? White or black. No color allowed. With a trucker style hat with a hockey brand, not a hockey team, a hockey brand on it. And hockey hair. Okay. Soft. Yep. Every female was dressed the same. ⁓ jeans that were wearing jeans that were tight around the waist but baggy everywhere else. I guess that's normal g I guess that's how all jeans fit tight around the waist, but and a tiny little tank top. Yeah, jeans and a tank top. That they've been doing that for a long time. I it's all good luck. This is my first time I've I've been around this situation in years. ⁓ on and so You used to be the guy in the t shirt and the jeans with the honky branded hat. I tried to explain that to Jeremy and Jeremy can't see me as that. I literally watched the Dodgers and Brewers game on the TV. I just kept my eyes straightforward. I'm like, this is gonna this there's no way that I'm like, I can't go anywhere else because everything's sold is at ten. I promised the kid a night out and I'm like, this is gonna end badly. You promised the kid a night out. And and they y they were just and they just ⁓ The DJ kinda like he had this flashing strobe light, spotlight kind of thing. And he kept on putting it on me. And Jeremy would laugh. He's like, he's obviously knows that you're misplaced here. And he's just doing that to get a rise idea. So anyway, I'm dead. I'm done. Like those days are over for me. I'm chopped. Gross. A fossil. ⁓ also rewatching But also you're a very appropriate middle aged man who handled that with a lot of grace and I think you should be proud of yourself. I watch sports I watched the Dodger game until it was over, then I watched sports highlights. But the problem was there was three women on underneath the TV and they all had small tank tops on. So from an angle it looked like I was probably staring at them. But I wasn't. ⁓ You need one of those visors that goes from here. I need my reverse Pfizer. I wanted to get those like glasses that you put on when you're sleeping, but your eyes are open. Yes. you can lay down and watch TV. ⁓ so I'm rewatching the Murdoch ⁓ documentary. ⁓ and the one thing I have to say people from the South are just a different it's a whole different world down there. Congratulations. Yeah. ⁓ so let's have the weekly report. Let's do the weekly report. Week, week, week, week, week, week, week, week, week, weekly report. Real week, week, week, week, week, week, week, week, week, weekly report. Weekly report. Well, this is actually seems like a really good place to start. I I this week ⁓ many things have happened. I did my all my D's. I ate the dairy, lifted the weights, danced, and read the Dante. But I invented a new dance move this week that I want to tell you guys about, and it's called Teens are watching. So I feel like this is really appropriate. And the way that teens are watching works is you dance chill. You're just like and cool. Like you're keeping it respectable because teens are watching you. But then the minute they look away, you just fucking like and then the teens are looking and you just chill it up. You just keep calm. Teens are watching. So that was that was a fun game to play. That couldn't be any more appropriate. Of my weekend CRS. a little TV, a little mini TV report. ⁓ no, I'll tell you guys about Dante. There was some pretty funny there's some stuff in Dante that was pretty crazy. ⁓ like they go to this one place in hell ⁓ where like a snake crawls around a dude and then it starts like melding into the dude, and then the dude's penis turns into two snake legs. And I was like, that's pretty that's pretty rowdy for ⁓ thir the thirteen hundreds is like get wrapped up by a snake and having your penis turned into snake legs. Snake legs, which don't even exist in the real world. Just hell is so bad that snakes got legs down there. And then I got all the way through the first book, The Inferno, and you get you go into the middle of the earth. That's part of it. You like go all the way down into the middle of the earth and then the it flips around and you come out the other side and the last thing you see is Satan. But all of this buildup, they they don't have what there's they don't spend any time talking to Satan. They just like they say there's Satan, he's got three heads. One of them's eating Judas backwards, so it's Judas ass out because that's what he deserves. ⁓ one of them's eating Brutus who and s and Cassius, who killed ⁓ Julius Caesar. Mm. This there's this big Satan. He's eating these guys. They just like avoided him. They're like, run. Get just get out of here. We we're not talking to him. We're not we're not seeing it at all. And I've kind of I've I felt a little disappointed by that because we spent a lot of time like talking about snakes turning into penises, ⁓ people getting poked and boiled, and then no Satan talk. We're we're just we're we're getting the fuck out of there. Was that the lowest level? Yeah. Okay. And then it flips around. And then you go up. So now they're going up a hill to Purgator in Purgatory. But I haven't started it yet. I just looked at the map. That's that's a small Well, do they go to heaven? That'll be paradise. Yeah, you gotta go through purgatory to get to paradise. It's and is that a different book? That's the third one, yeah. Holy fuck. This is intense. The writer's lost just fucking ripped this book off, apparently. ⁓ I bet. I bet Lost has been influenced by this. it's you just s talked about the whole I never watched it. I know Brent loves it though. Loved it. Is it an allegory? It's an allegory for this? It's what Nate just described is exactly the premise of the show. Well now I'm a little bit more interested. Huh. Okay. ⁓ speaking of TV, and now it's time for my TV report. 'Cause ⁓ there's two t television programs that I'd like to talk about. The first one is ⁓ the television program Reacher. Have either of you guys watched Reacher? Not all I just started watching it for the first time and I just started with season four and I love it. It's a a perfect show because you don't need one, two, or three to understand what's going on. It same thing happens every season. He's walking around in his t-shirt and jeans and then some shit starts popping off. And that's the that's the The plot of Reacher. I think Reacher is one of the best television shows on earth so far that I'm willing to call myself a Reacher Creature at this point. I'm watching new episodes every week. I'm excited to see it. I paid to not have ads for a month so that I'm not getting my Reacher interrupted by the terrible advertisements. Thank you. Can I just a little word of warning where my brain went? Reacher creature sounds like a guy that gives like jerks the people off. Well I guess I'm reacher creature in more than one way. I like it because it's competency porn. Because he has perfect values and morals and he's the strongest and the smartest. And he's a smart ass too. Like he gets to say shit to cops that I wouldn't be able to say. So it's like a f a wish fulfillment fantasy where it's like, if I was six four, I would also be this much of a fucking asshole to every a form of authority in the entire world. Like every question they ask him, he's got the most smartest ass response you've ever So condescending. It's awesome. ⁓ it's the best. And then he's always smooching a babe. And he's like last week he was like hanging on one windowsill and then he let go and then caught a a floor down on the next windowsill. That's good. Reacher doesn't take stairs. He doesn't take stairs I can't believe Tom Cruise wanted to be Reacher. You know what? And I like the Tom Cruise Reacher movies, but one of the most important parts of Reacher is that he's gigantic. It's really important that Reacher's gigantic. Because then it makes him being morally good even more satisfying. You're like, he's not doing that for any other reason than because he really is he believes in justice. He's a man who loves justice. ⁓ and I have a television program recommendation for you, Brent. Hell yeah. That I think you would like. That I've been watching that I loved. It's called Rogue Heroes. Have you heard of this show? I've not. Okay. It's about this force special force in World War II that's like in the desert and they're doing like behind like clandestine operations, blowing up airfields and stuff. But I think the reason you really like it is it's like it's exactly what you always want in a soundtrack where you're like, And at this part they should play Highway to Hell as they're driving out there. Is every time they play a song, it's exactly what you would have wanted. It's every needle drop in the world that you'd love. It's exactly what every show should be, in my opinion. Yeah. So I'd like you to give that a try. When you need a new show, I think ⁓ that you would enjoy this. I'm yeah, I'm a big sand guy now too, so. Big Sand guy. Because a PDB would ⁓ I didn't even think about that. PDB's gonna love this. Yeah. He's gonna love it. I understand. It's like, yeah, they're and they're kinda all reachers. They're just they they don't like authority. The always like the new generals coming in, he's like, way to salute guys, and they're like, Fuck you. We don't salute here in the Rogue Heroes. We don't salute. We're too cool. It's called Rogue Heroes. Yeah. What's it on? Amazon Prime is where I was watching it. Heroes. It was a BBC show though. ⁓ S A S. Yeah. Rogue Heroes. Special Air Services. ⁓ yeah, these boys look fucking. Hello. ⁓ yeah. The guy's got the old school goggles on and he's drinking out of a flask. Yeah. A lot of mustache work. A lot of like wrapping a shirt around your head work. ⁓ yeah. Shirt like a shirtless guy, but he wrapped the shirt around his head to stay like cool in the desert. Yeah. ⁓ This is big. For me. I went to play golf with my buddy Petey. You know, I do that once a year. It's been a year since I played golf with my buddy Petey, and that was wonderful. I put on a twenty year old golf shirt and it fit perfectly. ⁓ boy. What a feel. ⁓ yeah. I was just testing it. I was like, let's see how let's see how far I got to go before I can wear this twenty year old golf shirt. I'm here. I already I'm already at my destination. I telephone. So did you wear it? Hell yeah. ⁓ my gosh. Hell yeah. And Petey was like he last year he told me I was looking skinny and then he said, You were looking skinny last year. You're looking even skinnier this year. I said, ⁓ Petey, what a pleasure to play golf with you, sir. Go on. Shirt just a class of two thousand six on it. Basically. Yeah, basically. Shit It's vintage. It's a vintage shirt it's a vintage golf shirt. It's it's it was my favorite golf shirt when I was twenty years old. So What is what what makes it your favorite? It's the material is fantastic and the fit, like the cut of it is like it's long enough so my belly's not popping out, but it's not so long that it looks like ⁓ a nightgown. It's just the it's the perfect it's the perfect golf shirt. Love it. and then the guys who we we just got paired up with some strangers and they kept calling me Bubba Watson because I fucking was smashing it so and that felt good too. They're like, ⁓ Bubba. ⁓ my god. You wouldn't be able tell me shit. Yeah, it was a big day. 20 year old shirt getting called Bubba Watson in the public golf course. Like, hell yeah, bro. ⁓ found a f twenty dollars on the street. I'm still winning. I'm just like, yeah, just sitting there, twenty bucks on the street. And I like looked around. I was like, This if this belongs to anyone, I will happily give it. I was like, stood there, I looked around, not a soul in sight. I'm like, that's my twenty dollars. Yeah, it's just gonna blow away. It's amazing. Do you guys have those things there though people will put down money? It they do it at the juggalo things in the I was worried it was it was such a crisp twenty that I was like, is this one of those am I being filmed and pranked? I think that's also why I was looking around so much, being like, Where's that lens? But nope, just free twenty. I caught a mosquito using only sound. I was looking at the screen, I was like and I went. And it caught a mosquito like that. What between your fingers? Between my fingers. ⁓ that is No, you didn't. That is crazy. I'm literally becoming a bat. I use sound to get a mosquito. Okay, that's a location. You're developing superpowers. I like it. And then my final thing is that ⁓ my hat, my baseball hat had the like sweat white ring. I had to deal with that. Didn't know how to deal with it. I just took it with me in the shower. I just took my hat with me in the shower and it was Did it get it out? Look at this shit. Look at this perfect look at this perfect. Look at this perfectly clean hat. I have a quite follow up. Did you wear the hat while you showered or just hold it? I wore it in I let the water pour on it, then I took it. Of course he wore it, Bridge. ⁓ my god. I can't believe I get I'm gonna be doing that later on. I have this this very hat has the the white sweat. Then yeah then I hung it up on the on the spout so to to dry, you know? Look at you. You were going through it the last couple of weeks with the rain and the bugs. It's a real turnaround. You really bounced back. It's a real turnaround. And that's the weekly report. Wow. ⁓ speaking of bouncing back in life when life gets you down. It's last movie of the month of August. It's ⁓ Beach and Ocean Month was what was that what we settled? No. Yes. Ocean and Beaches. Ocean and Beaches. Ocean and Beach. ⁓ Ocean before beaches. Why don't you tell people what we watch, Nate? ⁓ we watched my movie this month, which is The Life Aquatic with Steve Zizou. And I would love it if Kate would tell us what happened in this movie. You got it. The Life Aquatic was released in 2004, directed by Wes Anderson. Bill Murray is a Jacques Cousteau type oceanographer. He makes movies. He is married to Angelica Houston. The last movie he made, his best friend was eaten by a jaguar shark. And so he decides that he's going to go and Go on a last he's gonna go kill the Jaguar Shark or find it. and his he ends up meeting Ned Plimpton, played by Owen Wilson, who we come to find out is his son or could be his son. And then also joining them is a journalist played by Kate Blanchette. And so her name's Jane. And so Kate Blanchett and Owen Wilson. And kind of fall in love. They have a relationship which makes Steve Zissue very jealous. And so he gets into conflict with them. Then they get the pirates come and capture the bank guy that's the insurance guy that's with them on the trip. So they have to go save him, and Ned ends up dying. After a plane after a plane crash to look for or a helicopter crash to look for the Jaguar Shark. And then everyone is very sad and they go into a submersible and they end up seeing the Jaguar Shark. And Steve makes his last film and Steve ha matured a lot throughout the movie and ⁓ has improved all of his relationships because of what he learned from Ned Plimpton. That's the life aquatic. Wonderfully done, Kate. Absolutely. You just no, you no deep breath because you made it look too easy. You just nailed that one. I felt like it went on too long, but thank you. Not at all. No. So let's talk about our favorite parts. Hell yeah, let's talk about our favorite parts. What's the for let's get this what's the director's name again? Wes Anderson. Wes Anderson. I I don't get him. You're not the Wes Anderson guy. I get it. Like I I said this about Asteroid City. I get it. I get what he's doing. I get what people like it. I don't I don't like it. I did enjoy this though. I thought this would be the one of his that you would enjoy the most. I thought so. And the I think the reason I enjoyed it is because it's the water and the old timey look of it. And the way it was shot with the the camera angles and the the the the shots of like when they did the I love the tour of the ship, the Bellefontaine. And they were just all like one shot where they went down different levels. That was very cool. That kept me kept me interested. And the characters weren't as weird as they were in Asteroid City. I when they passed him the Was it the pony fish, the seahorse looking thing in the water bag? Crayon ponyfish. Yeah. I was like, here we go. Here comes the stupid shit that it makes no sense, just to be different and weird. But it bounced back quite nicely. I'm glad to hear that you didn't hate it. Yeah, me too. I I I thought you would I was like, cause of when I wasn't the biggest Wes Anderson fan, this was like the thing that got me into Wes Anderson. So I was like, Brandon, me are similar enough that I think you'll let you'll think the parts of this That are funny, you'll think are funny. When his dog when he was if Steve was informed his dog died, and Angelic Houston said a snake bit it in its throat. And he said there's there's gotta be a better way to say it than that. I think about that at least once a day now and I laugh. I like the music. ⁓ go ahead, yeah. No, the music is just so good. Yeah. And so I initially I didn't know it was Portuguese. I thought it was French. But so it's David Bowie by in Portuguese and on an acoustic guitar. Yeah. Like See, when you say that out loud, that's like why I don't like Wes Anderson. Just does stuff just to be different. When you hear it. Yeah. It works. It works in this movie. It works. Not only does it work, I've been listening to that dude's music. Every day since that happened, I just click on Spotify, shuffle all for I think his name's Seuj Hore. I don't know how to say his name. I'm so scared of trying to pronounce his name. But ⁓ he's he's so good and his voice is so amazing. Like it's that deep voice, but it's beautiful. Like it's and his music just makes you move your ass, man. It's so good. And I just like how it randomly he would just they would just pan on him playing guitar. Sui Sui Hore. He played Pelo de Santos. ⁓ big fan of big binoculars when Jeff Goldblum ⁓ plays Hennessy, had the big binoculars looking out. That's so good. And he's like, Get me my elephant gun. Yeah. And then at the end he's like, Is this my espresso maker? And the Bond stooge like, Yeah, man, we fucking stole it. I just loved all the equipment and the helicopters, the old school like. ⁓ goggles they wore. ⁓ and another scene is when they're kind of doing a montage of training the c the crew and getting net into shape to s you know, be on this crew and then he immediately drowns right away. She asked like was he unconscious? He was like, Yeah, for all about only about a minute, but he bounced right back. ⁓ idea we don't talk about do we think it was his w obvious debate is if it's his son or not. I don't think it is. Yeah, I don't think it is. But it is, he decided he was. Yeah, and and it's like he's still an asshole for what he did because he didn't know that it wasn't his son. So it's like the character part of him like not acknowledging his son even though he knew he existed. He's it's also like there's something about it that's so like like sad. It's not just evil, it's like he's like so s he's so small and like Petty. It's nice to see a flawed character on a on a movie that's the main guy. A flawed character that the people around him also love. Like they hate him and they're so frustrated with him, but they also love him. Like his crew, they want a mutiny sometimes, but they also are like have his back. Angelica Houston is like she's done with him, but then she's also like, ⁓ she comes back and she wants to be a part of it and she likes to be a part of it and she respects him and stuff. It's like really there's a lot going on. There's a lot going on. So if you think about his movies that ⁓ I are my favorite are Royal Tenemoms and Rushmore, and it's a similar kind of thing where you have like a main character who's like hard to like but is endearing, and then there's this like character arc where they end up maturing. ⁓ I just love I think he has like dad issues and is like working through them Through his scripts. Yeah, I would say that's a pretty fair guess. Yeah, that's a pretty fair guess, I would say. There's some dad stuff going on here. It was I think you would like re Royal Tenen Bombs. I like Royal Tennin Bombs. That would be my probably my third favorite because I loved Asteroid City, actually. I really like that one more than I thought I would for sure. So I'd probably put that number two. And I like the Fox one. Yeah, I like the Fox. Phantasmus Fox is good. And I enjoyed Boot Pass. I like Wes Anderson, but Yeah. I also understand why Brent doesn't like it because it's so like specific that if you're not like feeling that breaking of the reality of movie world, which he does so often, is he like he he heightens things so much that it becomes unreal. If you don't like that, it'd be like really miserable to sit through two hours of that. But I I I think like w I Wes Anderson grows on me more and more and more for sure. I like the the The very first scene where Kate Blanchette comes and they forgot to pick her up and they're all on the beach with those light up. Portuguese man of war. Yeah, they're very f that was very cool. I like that. She's she's so charming in this movie, so sweet, and she has such a great performance. She has a really great performance, I think. do you have a quiz? Not only do I have a quiz, I th I have what I think is the best I'm gonna be arrogant and say I think this is the best named quiz we've ever had. Would you guys like to do the life quiz quatic with Steve Kizizu? ⁓ my god, yes. That's so good. Question number one. And we'll start with Catherine this week. In the opening scene, Steve Z Steevesy premieres a film titled The Jaguar Shark Part One. Which adventure number is it? Adventure number twelve, adventure number thirteen, adventure number fourteen, or adventure number fifteen? I'm gonna go with twelve. I'm gonna go with fourteen. Catherine's on the board, it's the twelfth adventure. Hello! At the movie premiere, Jeff Goldblum is wearing a new merit badge. Which country awarded him a knighthood? Paraguay, Portugal, Panama, or Peru? I'm gonna go with Portugal. Paraguay. We have a tie game. Brent is on the board. Gone forever. I knew that right away. As soon as you said it, I knew it was gonna be Damn. I thought all those peas would throw you for a loop. I was trying to put you in the trying to put you in the spin cycle. No, I knew beforehand. ⁓ Brent mentioned this s part earlier. What is the name of Steve Z's cat that died? Got bit in the neck by a sni Got bit in the neck by a snake. Pumpkin, Nacho, Marmalade, or Mango? Nacho. ⁓ pumpkin? It's a three way tie. It was marmalade. It was mar it was a tabby named Marmalade. I never would have got that one. What was the name of the bartender who made the best rum cannonballs Steve Z ever tasted? They go they go to rescue from the pirates and he says, I took my honeymoon here, had the best rum cannonball. Was it Kenny, Clark, Kai, or Kino? Kai. I think it's Kenny. I have taken the lead. It was Kino. I was Keno the bartender. It had to be Kai or Keno. That name. That's not a real name. Yeah, it's a made-up name. Very silly. For a very silly reason. I like it. In the letter Ned wrote to Steve Z when he was a kid, he named three jobs he'd like to be when he grew up. Which job did I make up? An oceanographer, an architect, a pilot, or a marine biologist? Marine biologist. I'm also gonna say marine biologist. We have a three-way tie, you're both correct. We are both correct. We have two questions left. We all have two points. In the submarine when Steve Z opens his little book to confirm the shark coordinates, there is a list of supplies. Which item is on this list? This is such a this is a me moment so hard. Was it Barracuda serum, manta ray repellent, shark poison, or octopus pheromones? So which one was actually in there? Yeah, I made up three and one was really on there. Okay, can you read them again? Barracuda serum, manta ray repellent, shark poison, or octopus pheromones. I'm gonna say octopus pheromones. I'm gonna say serum. Catherine is correct, Barracuda serum was on the list. That was good, Nate. Bear crudic serum sounds like something I'd make. Yeah, I'll I'd I would have pulled the hair sauna. Yeah. Last question. Kate is currently in the lead. What kind of fish always shows up before the jaguar shark? Fluorescent salmon, fluorescent snake fish, fluorescent snapper, or fluorescent sea bass? Snapper. Salmon. We have a winner. Catherine is correct. It was the fluorescent snapper. And she is the winner of this week's quiz, the the life quiz quatic with Steve Quizzizu. So I'm glad I won this one because of the name of it. Yeah, it's a special one. Thank you. It really was special. Yeah. You know who else is special? The lady who's about to get some compliments from me and Brent. Are you ready? I'm I'm ready. ⁓ my compliment for you this week is one of the most noble. Traits a human can have. Bravery. My compliment for you this week is the compliment of bravery. What you did this weekend was so brave. I wouldn't personally never have the bravery to do such a thing, to organize an event and stand up there and put yourself on the line. And I it just filled me with so much in inspiration because my friend is so brave. My brave friend Kate. Thank you. Thank you. Very nice. I also share those sentiments. ⁓ one of my favorite qualities about Kate is her ability to have c make you feel safe with having a difficult conversation. ⁓ you can things you don't want to talk about or that are hard to talk about or embarrassing. Kate makes it feel safe to talk about and relatable and understandable and you come out the conversation feeling taken care of. You're like a harbor. ⁓ guys. Yeah. Port Kate. Yeah, poor Kate. Thank you. I receive that. Receive. Yep. ⁓ well, I give you guys a gold medal for your performance on the quiz. What a fun time. Would you guys like to hand out some medals for this film? Yes. Bronze medals. So many great performances, you guys. So many great performances. Where are we gonna where are we gonna dole them out? ⁓ my bronze is going to Willem Dafoe. Just a g just a just a fun, weird, crazy guy. It's enjoyable to be a weird guy. I think I'll give him mine too. He's the funniest character in this movie to me. he's Klaus. Klaus. ⁓ he has so much like emotion. And it's but he's also so silly. And he was when I first watched this movie, he was like by far my favorite part of the whole film. He was like, ⁓ this is I love this movie just for him. But I like the idea of a turkey sandwich. I was thinking about giving him a higher one, but I like sticking with my friends on this one. Let's give him a turkey sandwich for Willem Defoe bronze medal. ⁓ my silver is going to Bill Murray. ⁓ funny, funny. ⁓ I'm not a big Bill Murray guy. I d I don't buy into that. I don't know. It's not my scene. But I shouldn't really say that because he was funny in this and he was funny in Kingpin. Good good funny character actor, Bill Murray. And he's got mine the last name. Mm-hmm. Point. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. My silver medal is going I'm splitting it between Angelica Houston and Kate Blanchett. Angelica Houston's attitude through this movie was so awesome and ⁓ flat, but also she wa It was like you could the act sh her acting was so good, I don't know how to explain it. Because she was so flat and didn't like him. But like you could tell there were reasons and she was so fond of him. And then Kate Blanchette. It's just an interesting part. I don't know. It was I just liked both of them. So they were getting it split. I like that scene when they're getting ready to go to the Ping Islands and Angelica Houston, like Points to where it is on the map, and then Steve points to like a totally different place where he's talking, and just in the back, she just like just points to where it actually is. It's like so subtle, but it was so so fucking funny. ⁓ she's getting my silver too. I love Angelica Houston. Like she is ⁓ just by the way her spine is, you're like, she's so powerful. Like she's just always properly up. She's never hunched, she's never small, she's just like. She's not a huge woman, but she's gigantic in every every time I've ever seen it. She is gigantic. So she gets my silver medal. She's great. How tall is she? Let's find out. How tall is Angelica Houston? Five ten. ⁓ she is big. Okay, she's big. All right, gold medal. Gold medal for me is Kate Blanchette. ⁓ interesting character, but she knocked it out of the park. She was fun. In this movie. Never really see a lot of Clay Blanchette movies, so I don't have anything to go on, but I really enjoyed her in this one as a counterpart to the crazy crew, Steve Zizou. She's so beautiful. In this movie, she's like, I was in love with her the second she appeared. Not a blonde guy, but ⁓ my gold gold medals, my gold goes to ⁓ I'm a I'm a Billboy. I'm into Bill Murray and he gets my gold because just how fun. He's just fun to watch. And the his arrogance in real life ⁓ really suits him in these roles. And so he gets a gold. Yeah, I agree. I'm giving my gold to him. Like I'm ki I'm sort of in between you two. Like I like Bill Murray, but I'm also like quite suspicious of Bill Murray. That's how I put like I got my eye on Bill Murray. And if he was like either like he's horrible, I'd be like, yeah. ⁓ that checks out. That's exactly how I feel. Yeah. Yeah. Jill, my good my dear friend in St. Louis, who I grew up with, has a Bill Murray story, and he's he was a dick. He was a dick to her. Yeah. That doesn't surprise me at all. But it's just what can you do when you cast him perfect as a guy who's kind of like likable and kind of a dick? He just knocks this the fuck out of the park. And the way he like moves in the movie is really funny. Like the first moment when he puts on the music in the headset and he's standing in his little wetsuit and he's just doing like the tiniest little like shoulder, like tiniest dance you've ever seen in real life. It's just so fucking funny. He gets my gold medal for sure. ⁓ well I give you both a ten out of ten for friendship and life and watching movies together. Would you guys like to give this movie a rating? Sure. Yeah I'll The script for this film, I'm pretty sure it was co-written by Noah Bombach, that guy Noah Bombach, who is Str a Strange Fellow. ⁓ when I think of Noah Bombach now, I think of Adam Driver punching a hole in the wall from the movie that's about him. So that's a whenever I I don't really know what Noah Bombach looks like. So if I imagine my just imagined Adam Driver punched a hole in the wall. But I love this movie. I think it's I haven't watched it in probably 10 or 15 years, and it was I found it like moving. I found it moving in a in a number of different ways. And I I really love a silly comedy. Like I love Barb and Starr. That movie was like exactly my shit, and it's so silly. But I also do like when this is done well and it has that like heart and emotion and reality. So I'm going ten. I'm gonna give this script a ten. I'm gonna give it a nine like it. But sometimes I feel like he overwrites things. But I think that's kind of part of the thing. I think that's the just a hard line for him. So I give it a nine. I give it an eight, which is a ten for my Wes Anderson scale. Yeah, I would say that's like very good. Yeah. ⁓ the art direction for this movie, the sets, the props, the costumes. Well, the costumes are amazing. The sets are incredible. There's gears and cogs. They have a sauna that was designed by Japanese Nassau. ⁓ It's a 10. It's just looks incredible. Yeah, the it's a tin. It looks gorgeous. Yeah, I really found it visually appealing, which made me ⁓ like it a lot more than I would if it wasn't like this. This the colors of that the hats and the old school stuff tend. Yeah, and I loved the stop animation aquatic life. I really love that. I I love when a movie's a movie, man. I do too. Especially in that last submarine scene when they're going down there seeing all sorts of different things. It was just really beautiful and moving. The music for this film I also I the music for this film is so good. The score, the music that plays in their helmets, and then the I love David Bowie. I'm I like David Bowie more than I like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones or s I could like I would put David Bowie in my top five all time of like just I love his music and listening to it played on acoustic classical guitar and sung in Portuguese is so beautiful. It's a 10. I've been listening to it all week. It's so fucking good. Yeah, it gets a 10. And the ⁓ ending song is by Segar Ross. And when I was very depressed, I love Segar Ross. So I also give it a 10. ⁓ Nate said I would like it, and I did like it a lot. Ten. Hell yeah. ⁓ the genre for this film. Let me get that. Let me get that. This is a adventure comedy drama film. It's gotta be adventurous with comedy and drama. Well they go and they hunt they have fights with pirates. It's funny. It kinda makes you want to cry. I don't know how you could do any better. For me at least I'm giving that a 10 as well. I think it's so good. ⁓ could not have described the movie any better than that. ⁓ laugh out loud. jokes. L O L. Yeah. L ⁓ A O. Yeah. I'm gonna I'm actually I'll give it a 10. Yeah, but you don't have to if you don't want to. No, I've decided. I'm gonna give it a ten. And then the theme this the theme this month is Kate's themes water and beaches, beaches and water. Well this whole damn thing takes place on a boat or movie theater. That's the two places we go to and ocean and a like a Jeff Goldblum's ocean laboratory. Ten. The Hennessy. Yeah, it gets a ten. ⁓ I'm gonna give it a nine. Only because ⁓ they're on land more than Captain Phillips. Definitely. And they were and it wasn't as just total beach as Dune. Yeah. So I have to give it a nine. Theme is not confusing at all. ⁓ I respect that. it's right. Not not as much sand and beach as Dune, not as much water as Captain Phillips. So you you can't get a ten for me, you get a nine. Okay. Listen, I think this movie had a great score, which is a forty eight point three, and it's it w it earned it. It earned every point. Absolutely. Well I'm I'm glad you liked it, Brent, actually.
