- 0:01Speaker 1: Then when I woke up this morning, I was feeling
- 0:02Speaker 1: pretty dangerous or on a Cincinnati team. It's my corpett.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They are when we thought they were, and we got
- 0:11Speaker 1: you play to win the gate. They want you to
- 0:14Speaker 1: cook the dinner. At least they ought to let your
- 0:16Speaker 1: shot for some of the grocery. And on the way up,
- 0:18Speaker 1: we're gonna buy a kneecap all getting me playoffs. I'm
- 0:21Speaker 1: just here so I won't get fine? How could he
- 0:23Speaker 1: not be a romantic about football? After Hello, Welcome to
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Bench with Vanetta podcast. Guys, is Thankgiving week. I
- 0:34Speaker 1: am so excited to just eat like a maniac andnot
- 0:39Speaker 1: treat my body very well. And we got football. We
- 0:43Speaker 1: got some good games on Thanksgiving. Usually we're like, oh
- 0:47Speaker 1: why do we have to watch? This year came into it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I have got some hot takes, So Grever, can you
- 0:54Speaker 1: enter the chat. I've got some hot takes about Thanksgiving.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Number one. Okay, I'm Canadian, as we all know, my
- 1:02Speaker 1: Thanksgiving it in October. And I know that you guys
- 1:05Speaker 1: have to have your Thanksgiving around November because like that's
- 1:07Speaker 1: when you found the country or whatever. Thanksgiving about in
- 1:10Speaker 1: October is prime Thanksgiving time, baby, And I'm gonna give
- 1:15Speaker 1: you a couple of reasons why. Number one, it is
- 1:18Speaker 1: peak fall, November winter. Sorry, it's winter time, okay. Te
- 1:23Speaker 1: October sap, its sap. It's October is peak fall. We
- 1:29Speaker 1: are seeing the autumnal vibes rolling, we are getting ready
- 1:33Speaker 1: for Halloween. My Thanksgiving is like the first week of October.
- 1:39Speaker 1: It is far enough away from Christmas, which is also
- 1:43Speaker 1: another time that you how's turkey, which we will get
- 1:47Speaker 1: to is terrible. There's enough time in between there that
- 1:51Speaker 1: I can have turkey on Thanksgiving and then rolling out
- 1:53Speaker 1: again for Christmas. There's enough space there. It doesn't make
- 1:57Speaker 1: any sense that it's in November. Cancel it moved to October.
- 2:00Speaker 1: How do you feel about that? I see where you're
- 2:02Speaker 1: coming from. I will say, turkey on Christmas is not
- 2:06Speaker 1: what my family has ever done. We're here cam or
- 2:10Speaker 1: roast beef or both, which is way more delicious than turkey.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So but I do I do understand what you're saying,
- 2:17Speaker 1: because like two of the biggest holidays for family gathering
- 2:21Speaker 1: basically are Thanksgiving Christmas, and they're like three weeks apart
- 2:24Speaker 1: or something four weeks apart. It's pretty close. So I
- 2:27Speaker 1: don't hate where you're coming from. It just feels anti tradition.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Well call me crazy, but maybe it's fun to throw
- 2:35Speaker 1: a tradition out the window every so often. Also, we
- 2:38Speaker 1: could be this is what really, this is what kicked
- 2:41Speaker 1: this whole thing off. I'm not allowed to put up
- 2:43Speaker 1: a Christmas tree yet? Since when I keep on going
- 2:47Speaker 1: to all of these websites, Where can I buy a
- 2:48Speaker 1: Christmas tree in Los Angeles right now? I was up
- 2:52Speaker 1: last week, by the way, because I wanted to be
- 2:54Speaker 1: that early. I can't even get one until Friday. I
- 2:56Speaker 1: can't even get one until the day after Thanksgiving. I'm
- 3:00Speaker 1: my house could be a winter wonderland right now, but no,
- 3:02Speaker 1: we have to wait for Thanksgiving to be over. Can
- 3:05Speaker 1: I ask you something? Perhaps too early? We'll do this
- 3:08Speaker 1: conversation again in a month. Are you a fake tree
- 3:10Speaker 1: person or a real tree person? Guys, there's no, there's
- 3:14Speaker 1: really there's a very wrong answer to this question, and
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the right answer, and it is
- 3:19Speaker 1: a real tree. I know that they're pricing and not
- 3:21Speaker 1: they're not for everybody because they're literally the price of
- 3:24Speaker 1: Christmas trees is stupid. Like I went last year. I
- 3:28Speaker 1: think I got like a medium sized tree and it
- 3:29Speaker 1: was like almost two dollars, and I was like, oh,
- 3:31Speaker 1: what am I doing with my life? But so I
- 3:34Speaker 1: understand it's not for everybody, but there is something. There
- 3:37Speaker 1: is something that hits you right in the face when
- 3:39Speaker 1: you walk into your front door and you smell fresh
- 3:43Speaker 1: Christmas tree. Also, I feel like the plastic ones can
- 3:47Speaker 1: like catch on fire in your house, can burn and
- 3:49Speaker 1: you could die. Well that's what I feel like. That's true.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I feel like that's true of trees. Also they are trees.
- 3:56Speaker 1: But yeah, no, you're right. Um, okay, guys, we You've
- 4:00Speaker 1: got a lot to get to in the show speaking
- 4:02Speaker 1: of um just traditions and things we are thankful for.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Kyle Brandt is on the show and we are doing
- 4:10Speaker 1: stay tuned for this. We are doing start bench cut
- 4:15Speaker 1: Thanksgiving food and we are not being nice about it.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I am taking prisoners, okay, I Unfortunately, I know you
- 4:23Speaker 1: have thoughts on this. So this is how I want
- 4:26Speaker 1: to kick things off. We got to talk about the jets.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I know that you're fired up about it. Let me
- 4:30Speaker 1: tell you something. On Game Debut. We record these shows
- 4:34Speaker 1: on Friday at the end of each show we do
- 4:36Speaker 1: a write this down segment. It's like something that we're
- 4:38Speaker 1: feeling really good about. Maybe it's like a fun prop
- 4:40Speaker 1: or like something that just a prediction of what might
- 4:43Speaker 1: happen on Sunday. I said Zach Wilson zero picks after
- 4:49Speaker 1: throwing three the last time that they played the Patriots.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I don't know how I hit this because he was
- 4:55Speaker 1: he was begging for an interception the entire game. Maybe
- 4:59Speaker 1: I want to know what your thoughts are on the Jets.
- 5:01Speaker 1: What is this team? What is going on with their quarterback?
- 5:04Speaker 1: Are you as as fired up as I am? Yeah?
- 5:07Speaker 1: And I'm trying now because we've been at this for
- 5:09Speaker 1: almost twenty four hours of just screaming and pulling her
- 5:11Speaker 1: hair out over Zack Wilson. So I'm trying to find
- 5:13Speaker 1: some sort of silver lining or maybe a little levity,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and I think I've found it. I like the stage
- 5:18Speaker 1: where right now, because we're at the stage where he
- 5:21Speaker 1: has multiple teammates on defense who after the game on
- 5:25Speaker 1: their accounts on Twitter liked tweets that were disparaging of
- 5:29Speaker 1: Zach Wilson and how he handed himself. So, yeah, two
- 5:31Speaker 1: of them, and now they're both saying no, no, no, no,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I accidentally liked it. I didn't mean to. I accidentally
- 5:38Speaker 1: like tweets all the time, and I'm calling so much
- 5:40Speaker 1: bus on that Vanetta. Do people accidentally like tweets? I don't.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It has happened to me before, but this is just
- 5:49Speaker 1: too much. It's just I don't know you're you're, you're.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I got that thumbs if I'm scrolling, sometimes it just
- 5:55Speaker 1: hits the heart button. I've accidentally followed people before, and
- 5:58Speaker 1: then I'll get messages being like, oh my god, do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you want to day? Do you want? Do you want
- 6:03Speaker 1: to go out with me? Like? What do this mean?
- 6:04Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm so sorry. This was a
- 6:06Speaker 1: total accident. I can see how that's happened before, but
- 6:10Speaker 1: I am also calling BS on this. It is ridiculous.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Wasn't it the defensive coordinator that was like liking these tweets? Yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 1: it was a lot of people, And like, I just
- 6:19Speaker 1: for the sake of being thorough when I was thinking
- 6:22Speaker 1: about this, I went to my timeline and I just
- 6:23Speaker 1: started pulling up random tweets, the Onion, Scott handsOn whatever.
- 6:27Speaker 1: When you pressed like, the whole thing goes red and
- 6:30Speaker 1: an animates and there's this little star burst and it's
- 6:33Speaker 1: it's very obvious that you liked it. Also, there's a
- 6:36Speaker 1: new splash here. If you hit it again, you unlike it.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So I'm just not here for the accident of liking tweets.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You may have fat thumbs, Banetta, but we're talking about
- 6:46Speaker 1: elite athletes here with manual dexterity that should be better
- 6:49Speaker 1: than this. The accident of liking tweets, I think is bs.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I think the case has been cracked. I think that
- 6:54Speaker 1: we're on them. Also, I feel like with me, I'm
- 6:56Speaker 1: always I'm liking, I'm scrolling, I'm doing something, I'm thinking
- 6:59Speaker 1: about the TikTok. I'm about to make my brains a mess. Okay,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but no excuse for these for these athletes, um so,
- 7:06Speaker 1: Zach Wilson an absolute mess. I feel like beginning of
- 7:08Speaker 1: the season we all heard about there was some specific
- 7:12Speaker 1: Zac Wilson storylines that brought the team together. That's just
- 7:16Speaker 1: absolutely thrown to the wind. They are a mess. Um
- 7:19Speaker 1: some more some more fun storylines. You Okay, you need
- 7:22Speaker 1: to crack the code on this. Josh Allen comes on
- 7:24Speaker 1: your podcast every single week. Apparently there was a man
- 7:28Speaker 1: named Squirrel that helped him get out of the snow
- 7:31Speaker 1: this week, will you please Squirrel coming over for Thanksgiving dinner?
- 7:35Speaker 1: Like these are the kinds of questions that we need
- 7:37Speaker 1: from you. Imagine this the guy, this is some sort
- 7:40Speaker 1: of like Western New York Santa Claus who helps people
- 7:44Speaker 1: out of their driveways. Rachel. His name isn't just Squirrel,
- 7:47Speaker 1: his name is Squirrel Winter. What how is that possible?
- 7:51Speaker 1: It's like that is that is going to be a
- 7:53Speaker 1: Hallmark movie, like Squirrel Winter Saves Christmas? And I like
- 7:57Speaker 1: I get about I get about twenty sometimes twenty five
- 8:01Speaker 1: minutes with Josh every week, and I have like nineteen
- 8:04Speaker 1: minutes of questions about Squirrel Winter and the rest of
- 8:06Speaker 1: the stuff. I don't really care about the Browns, I
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't care about the lions. I just want to talk
- 8:12Speaker 1: about Squirrel Winter. And this magical man should be a
- 8:14Speaker 1: national celebrity. He absolutely should be. And I really feel
- 8:18Speaker 1: like this. Listen, I for one, I don't know how
- 8:20Speaker 1: you feel about this, kab We were just talking about
- 8:22Speaker 1: the cold weather and how you don't have snow. I'm
- 8:25Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of looking the visualization of the snow,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and I get it. They couldn't play in Buffalo. They
- 8:33Speaker 1: had to go to Detroit because it was too bad.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But could you imagine this game actually staying in Buffalo?
- 8:42Speaker 1: I feel like it is. What is it when the
- 8:44Speaker 1: groundhog comes out of the ground and he looks a
- 8:46Speaker 1: certain way and it's like the start of the new year.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I don't know how these things work. He sees the
- 8:50Speaker 1: shadow and then you get like three more weeks of
- 8:53Speaker 1: winter or something like that. The first Snow game is
- 8:58Speaker 1: just like like the first major snow game. I'm not
- 9:00Speaker 1: talking flurries here and there, the first major snow game,
- 9:04Speaker 1: which I believe this is what this would have been,
- 9:06Speaker 1: just kicking kicking off Thanksgiving, kicking off Christmas. Sign me
- 9:11Speaker 1: the heck up? Okay uh? Speaking of speaking of Thanksgiving,
- 9:15Speaker 1: my friend your days away? Um, I was actually had
- 9:18Speaker 1: a friend's giving the other day and we did the
- 9:20Speaker 1: boring ass like I'm thankful for these like these friends
- 9:24Speaker 1: that I just met, and like, oh my god, I
- 9:26Speaker 1: hate that. I hate that. What I have been witnessing
- 9:30Speaker 1: is people doing their unthankful lists at the dinner table,
- 9:36Speaker 1: which I highly recommend. So we're going to do that
- 9:38Speaker 1: right now. I want to know a storyline that you're
- 9:40Speaker 1: thankful for. I've got one and then one that you
- 9:43Speaker 1: are unthankful for. At this point in time, going into
- 9:47Speaker 1: while or wherever we're at, I feel like we might
- 9:50Speaker 1: have some connective tissue here because I know you and
- 9:54Speaker 1: I know some of the things that you're into. I'm
- 9:56Speaker 1: just gonna say I am very, very very thankful for
- 9:59Speaker 1: the Detroit Lions. Love three game win streak, and not
- 10:04Speaker 1: only that in a vacuum. Okay, they've won three in
- 10:06Speaker 1: a row. They hooked us the bleep up this week
- 10:10Speaker 1: because now they matter and they're actually playing a game
- 10:14Speaker 1: where like Lions Bills, there's some meat on that bone,
- 10:17Speaker 1: Like that is not a slam dunk win for the Bills,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and we have to endure the yearly monologues about it's
- 10:24Speaker 1: time to end the tradition of the Lions playing on Thanksgiving.
- 10:26Speaker 1: They always suck. It's always a letdown. They don't suck.
- 10:29Speaker 1: They're one of the hottest teams in the NFC right now,
- 10:31Speaker 1: so I'm thrilled about it for them, but also for us.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Jamal Williams is so much fun. Like there's just so
- 10:38Speaker 1: many parts of that team that you that you want
- 10:42Speaker 1: to root for like there's the we'll get into it,
- 10:44Speaker 1: but like the Chiefs and the Patriots, like they're always
- 10:46Speaker 1: going to be good, but like, I'm so tired of
- 10:48Speaker 1: those storylines. Dan Campbell his consistent use of the word
- 10:52Speaker 1: man and dude and come on, like I'm getting behind that.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm thankful for. I am so thankful.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Or Taylor Heineke and this crazy break of the commanders
- 11:04Speaker 1: on It's tough sometimes to get behind the commanders. But
- 11:08Speaker 1: this man, I don't know if you've seen this kV,
- 11:10Speaker 1: but he has been purchasing sneakers, a new pair of
- 11:14Speaker 1: Jordan's in the opponent's colors after every single win. So
- 11:19Speaker 1: we got a blue and white for the Colts win,
- 11:22Speaker 1: he got some some green and yellows for the Packers win,
- 11:25Speaker 1: a white and green was hit and different. And then
- 11:28Speaker 1: last night after they beat the Texans, he posted on
- 11:30Speaker 1: his Instagram story the brand new pair of blue sneakers
- 11:33Speaker 1: that you purchased. This is this is a level of
- 11:36Speaker 1: of confidence that I'm I'm really digging. I am I'm
- 11:41Speaker 1: quiet the quiet winds with the quarterbacks. He's got the
- 11:47Speaker 1: not doesn't make a ton of money, not super talented,
- 11:51Speaker 1: buys Jordan's. His last name sounds a lot like a
- 11:54Speaker 1: beer like. There's just so many things that people must
- 11:56Speaker 1: like about him, and I'm way into all of him,
- 11:58Speaker 1: and now that he's the guy moving forward and they've
- 12:00Speaker 1: won four out of five and I'm not even totally
- 12:03Speaker 1: sure how. I just every single week you tune in
- 12:05Speaker 1: and Heineke is winning another game to get another pair
- 12:07Speaker 1: of Jordan's. I don't know if you saw this. He
- 12:09Speaker 1: was sponsored by bud Light, which is like, Heineken, what
- 12:12Speaker 1: are we doing here? He was sponsored by bud Light,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and then I think after a big win, he brought
- 12:19Speaker 1: bush Light onto the plane to like celebrate, like it
- 12:22Speaker 1: was a big thing. He was like carrying it out,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and then bud Light dropped him. So I don't even
- 12:26Speaker 1: think he has a beer sponsor now. But Heineken has
- 12:30Speaker 1: just totally get in there. Where's the head of your marketing, Heineken,
- 12:35Speaker 1: I don't know what is happening. Are you too busy
- 12:36Speaker 1: covering soccer? Forget about it? Heineke is okay? And what
- 12:40Speaker 1: are you unthankful for this this season? Right now? I'm
- 12:45Speaker 1: not on speaking terms with the Minnesota Vikings right now.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I can't look at him. I can't talk to him.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Get up to your room, shut the door, no screens,
- 12:52Speaker 1: no phones, don't come out here. I don't want to
- 12:55Speaker 1: talk to you until the playoffs. And of course, like
- 12:58Speaker 1: any kid who gets grounded, they try to make up
- 13:01Speaker 1: for it like writing you a letter or writing how
- 13:03Speaker 1: they are sorry for what they did. We have to
- 13:05Speaker 1: watch the Vikings in a few days against the Patriots.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I don't care what that. I don't care if they
- 13:09Speaker 1: win that game by two hundred points. I'm not talking
- 13:12Speaker 1: to the Vikings until the playoffs. And I'm not mad
- 13:14Speaker 1: at them, Rachel, I'm so disappointed in them, and that
- 13:17Speaker 1: for three embarrassment. We'll see you in January. Until then,
- 13:20Speaker 1: don't even look at me. To the to the Cowboys,
- 13:22Speaker 1: of all people, they were my lost on Sunday, the Vikings,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I was going all the way. I saw everyone. It's
- 13:27Speaker 1: the catch that was heard around the world. Literally, we
- 13:29Speaker 1: were in Germany. We heard people screaming in the streets
- 13:31Speaker 1: for it. Of course you're gonna back that team. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: then Cowboys fans are just the most obnoxious people in
- 13:36Speaker 1: my mentions right now. For my ungratefulness, it just happened
- 13:41Speaker 1: last night I'm just so tired of the Chiefs being good.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm just so tired of it. Patrick Moms, Travis Kelsey,
- 13:50Speaker 1: greatest tight end of all time. We know, we know,
- 13:52Speaker 1: we want somebody else in the mix. I came in
- 13:55Speaker 1: to this season, Kabe choosing the Chargers. They were going
- 13:58Speaker 1: to be the new love of my life. I was
- 14:00Speaker 1: ready to get the gear. I was ready to be
- 14:02Speaker 1: in the blue and gold, the right next door to work,
- 14:04Speaker 1: and so if I stadium, I was all in. That
- 14:06Speaker 1: is not worked out the Chiefs. I'm just tired of it.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm ungrateful. I am ungrateful for the Chiefs. I wanted
- 14:11Speaker 1: to be done. Um okay, finally, Kab, before we let
- 14:14Speaker 1: you go start bench cut Thanksgiving food. I've got some
- 14:19Speaker 1: hot takes. Do you want me to go first or
- 14:20Speaker 1: do you want to go first? No, I want to
- 14:22Speaker 1: react to yours. So you go first. Okay, starting in
- 14:26Speaker 1: my lineup, my number one star, my captain of the team.
- 14:31Speaker 1: We don't even have I don't even think we have
- 14:33Speaker 1: this for Canadian Thanksgiving green bean casserole. It's something that's
- 14:37Speaker 1: new in my life. It's love. It's something that I've
- 14:40Speaker 1: experienced over the past few years. I'm all in. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: am starting green bean casserole. What are you going with?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Are you you? You go those little crunchy onion things
- 14:49Speaker 1: on top, right, of course, I am boxing. Probably doesn't
- 14:52Speaker 1: probably stale as hell, Throw him on top, put him
- 14:55Speaker 1: in the oven. No one's gonna know the difference. Yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 1: the green beans, to me, are just a conduit to
- 14:59Speaker 1: get to those che onion things. That's all that I
- 15:01Speaker 1: want my start. It looks I'm gonna just say between us, Rachel,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna take alcohol out because you said foods and
- 15:10Speaker 1: alcohol is not technically of food. So listen. I know
- 15:13Speaker 1: that this is a polarizing side. My start is cranberries.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I'm in. I want them. I like them. I eat
- 15:19Speaker 1: exactly four spoonfuls banberries every single year. Four only I'm Thanksgiving,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and that's it. It's something you never have any other
- 15:28Speaker 1: time of the year. But it tastes like Thanksgiving to me,
- 15:30Speaker 1: and I'm in. I'm starting it. Are you okay with
- 15:33Speaker 1: the canned version that comes out like dog food with
- 15:36Speaker 1: the ridges in the side and everything, I'm okay with it.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I prefer like the fancier one with the actual berries,
- 15:41Speaker 1: but I'll eat the canny, don't. I'm having cranberries. You
- 15:43Speaker 1: can't keep me from it. There is no next day
- 15:47Speaker 1: Thanksgiving left over sandwich unless you put cranberry sauce, cranberry
- 15:51Speaker 1: something on it. Okay, I am benching controversial. I'm benching turkey.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Turkey is not good. Turkey makes you feel terrible. It's
- 16:00Speaker 1: got tripped the fan or whatever the hell it's called.
- 16:03Speaker 1: It makes you really tired. I want to take a nap.
- 16:05Speaker 1: It doesn't taste good most of the time. It's dry,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and I'm not interested. It takes twenty five hours to
- 16:11Speaker 1: freaking cook. I'm out, all right. This is a movement
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I'm waving the flag for it. I was also
- 16:17Speaker 1: going to bench turkey, and I'm doing it. Something happened
- 16:20Speaker 1: a hundred years ago when the culinary world was completely different,
- 16:23Speaker 1: before we had the Food Network and before we had Instagram,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and it was like, you just make a turkey and
- 16:27Speaker 1: you slab it with gravy, and we think this is
- 16:29Speaker 1: what good food tastes like. It tastes like crap. It
- 16:32Speaker 1: is the poor man's chicken, It's the homeless man's ham.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And I don't serve turkey my Thanksgiving anymore. I don't
- 16:37Speaker 1: care if it's blasphemous or anti American. I want to
- 16:40Speaker 1: living the taste good and we go with we will
- 16:42Speaker 1: do a big gass ham on Thanksgiving and then we'll
- 16:45Speaker 1: run it back for Christmas. So I'm out on the
- 16:47Speaker 1: turkey out. I love this KB Okay, we're mind. I
- 16:51Speaker 1: think I think this last one might be my most controversial,
- 16:54Speaker 1: though I feel some people might be out. I am
- 16:57Speaker 1: cutting a certain kind of stuffing, and that is stovetop stuffing.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm cutting the hell out of stovetop stuffing. It's salty,
- 17:07Speaker 1: it's gnarly. It literally looks like mush, it looks like
- 17:12Speaker 1: garbage on the table. I know that, like maybe the
- 17:16Speaker 1: stuffing that goes inside of the turkey could like give
- 17:18Speaker 1: you salmonella. Who cares, I'm risking it. That's the tasty one.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That's the one that I want. Stovetop stuffing can take
- 17:26Speaker 1: a hike so that you like the stuff that they
- 17:29Speaker 1: actually stuff up into the orifice of the turkey and
- 17:34Speaker 1: it gets all soggy, soggy with delicious juices. You know
- 17:39Speaker 1: why the turkey is so dry because the stuffing is
- 17:42Speaker 1: draining out all of the deliciousness into these like weird
- 17:47Speaker 1: pieces of gnarly bread. That's what I want. Baby throws
- 17:50Speaker 1: some onions in there. Who we are the turkey is
- 17:53Speaker 1: kind of a martyr for the stuffing. Like the turkey
- 17:55Speaker 1: walks of the stuffing, can run and it, it bequeaths
- 17:58Speaker 1: it all of its fiver, and that's what happens to it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So I'm this is not something I'm I'm I'm not
- 18:04Speaker 1: benching it. I'm cutting it. It's straight up not on
- 18:06Speaker 1: the team anymore. So I find that depending on where
- 18:10Speaker 1: you are from in the country, especially you know down
- 18:13Speaker 1: in in here. I know you you you Canadian, been
- 18:16Speaker 1: in the States, Like I've had some weird crap when
- 18:19Speaker 1: I visited other people's parts of the country. And our
- 18:22Speaker 1: weird thing in our family that I'm cutting that I've
- 18:24Speaker 1: always hated. Then you're gonna learn something, I think, Rachel,
- 18:28Speaker 1: we used to have growing up. We used to have
- 18:29Speaker 1: ruda bega and that was our thing. And my mom
- 18:33Speaker 1: would make like mashed ruda bega and it's like a starch,
- 18:36Speaker 1: kind of like a turnip, and it's just gross and nasty,
- 18:40Speaker 1: and it's one of those things that no one ever
- 18:42Speaker 1: likes it, no one ever eats it. But we make
- 18:44Speaker 1: it every year, so it's just as always invited back
- 18:47Speaker 1: to the party. So I would like to cut rude bega.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I literally can't even picture what a route bega looks
- 18:54Speaker 1: like right now. I don't even think I've ever had one.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We we used to do squash. We used to do
- 18:59Speaker 1: like like is it it's turned up and squashed the
- 19:01Speaker 1: same thing it used to be, orning like next to
- 19:03Speaker 1: the mashed potatoes that slaps I'm keeping that. Okay, you're
- 19:07Speaker 1: cutting some of the squash. They put like maple syrup
- 19:11Speaker 1: and marshmallows on it and that like that place. But
- 19:13Speaker 1: the root of baker doesn't have any of that stuff.
- 19:15Speaker 1: The marshmallows added to the vegetables the most American thing
- 19:19Speaker 1: I've ever heard of. Kaby, Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful
- 19:23Speaker 1: to have you on this podcast every single week. We
- 19:25Speaker 1: will see you next week. Enjoy the football. Uh and
- 19:28Speaker 1: thanks a lot, pal, Thanks for having me. God bless America. Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: coming up next, we are talking about the best thing
- 19:35Speaker 1: and the worst thing that I saw all weekend. There
- 19:37Speaker 1: were so many good things, including lots of people shoveling,
- 19:41Speaker 1: and there were a couple of bad things, and I
- 19:43Speaker 1: don't know if you're gonna agree with my bad things,
- 19:45Speaker 1: so don't go anywhere these Okay, there was just like
- 20:02Speaker 1: love in the air this weekend. Um, we all saw
- 20:07Speaker 1: the clips of how much snow Buffalo got. I gotta say,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I mean, Buffalo is an incredible football team. You want
- 20:14Speaker 1: to get behind them. I kind of love them more
- 20:17Speaker 1: and I want to I want to watch a Super
- 20:19Speaker 1: Bowl parade in Buffalo. I want these people to feel happiness.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I feel like we think about Bills fans going through tables.
- 20:27Speaker 1: They really came to the rescue of these players. Sean
- 20:30Speaker 1: McDermott says Buffalo gets a bad rap because of the
- 20:33Speaker 1: cold and the snow, but there's an awful lot of
- 20:36Speaker 1: poor Son's probably write a movie about this. This would
- 20:41Speaker 1: be a cute Okay, I'm not gonna say anymore because
- 20:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna write this movie. Okay. Another thing that I
- 20:46Speaker 1: love to see was just the Lions. You heard Kabe.
- 20:50Speaker 1: We should all be grateful for the lines right now,
- 20:52Speaker 1: just doing it. Third straight win for the first time
- 20:54Speaker 1: since seventeen, I'll say that again. Third st eight win
- 21:00Speaker 1: for the first time since twenty seventeen. What were you
- 21:05Speaker 1: even doing in I'm trying to think nothing cool. Okay.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Jamal Williams is the most charismatic player in the NFL.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Get behind him, Okay, he is my favorite player. Of
- 21:17Speaker 1: another crazy thing that I saw, which I'm putting it
- 21:20Speaker 1: in the best category, but it could be easily in
- 21:22Speaker 1: the worst category if you're a Bears fan. Bears of
- 21:25Speaker 1: the first time first team in the one hundred and
- 21:28Speaker 1: three year history of the NFL to score more than
- 21:30Speaker 1: twenty eight points in three straight games and lose them all.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm putting that in the good category because that is hilarious.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Bears fans. I am so sorry. Is
- 21:41Speaker 1: it because I wore a Bears jacker this weekend? Maybe
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm bed luck? Um? That is brutal. But I'm putting
- 21:47Speaker 1: in the best thing that I saw. Sorry, okay, and
- 21:48Speaker 1: then the worst thing that I saw. I feel like
- 21:50Speaker 1: you guys aren't going to agree with this. Um. I
- 21:52Speaker 1: feel like over the past few months we've talked about
- 21:54Speaker 1: it on this very show. Oh b J where is
- 21:57Speaker 1: he going? This weekend? We all saw the Cowboys absolutely
- 22:01Speaker 1: ball out and just just schmush the Vikings. Okay, that's
- 22:06Speaker 1: what they did. They smushed them um, and obviously oh
- 22:10Speaker 1: b J tweeted about he said they went crazy, and
- 22:14Speaker 1: then Micah Parsons said, come on them, Babbey, come and
- 22:20Speaker 1: join us. I'm tired. I'm so over it. I'm I'm
- 22:24Speaker 1: over this. I feel like he is pulling a Lebron.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I feel like we're gonna hear about something special that's
- 22:30Speaker 1: coming out on ESPN or or or NFL network that
- 22:34Speaker 1: he is going to announce where he's going the decision
- 22:37Speaker 1: or whatever that's called. Um, I'm done with the theatrics.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Just please tell me where you want to go, and honestly,
- 22:42Speaker 1: go to the Cowboys because that sounds so fun. But please,
- 22:46Speaker 1: I don't want to be left in the dark anymore.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I don't want to read these tweets. Um, so that's
- 22:50Speaker 1: the worst thing I saw. O b J. Just tell us,
- 22:52Speaker 1: tell us, tell us where you're going, and please go
- 22:55Speaker 1: to the Cowboys because that would be fun. Okay, that
- 22:57Speaker 1: is our show. Guys, Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy all of the
- 23:00Speaker 1: games on Thursday, and they're gonna be good. I'm put
- 23:03Speaker 1: it out there right now. They are going to be good. Uh.
- 23:05Speaker 1: And by the way, NFL plus is here, which means
- 23:08Speaker 1: no matter where you are. This is how you football.

- 23:25Speaker 1: him on these shows. I'm going to a friend's giving
- 23:27Speaker 1: with Mohan tonight, a friend's giving four days before actual Thanksgiving.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I don't need to eat turkey more than once. I
- 23:35Speaker 1: don't need to do it, but I will for Mohan
- 23:38Speaker 1: because I love him. We will see you guys on Wednesday.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I love you. Bye. Put the lad in the Battle
- 24:02Speaker 1: of Battle
