- 0:00Speaker 1: We after Horses eat one of six seven Christine Buster, Christen.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Gonna be a beautiful day, Get up, get ready for
- 0:08Speaker 1: the weekend. Sunshine today high eighty two. They're saying sun
- 0:11Speaker 1: all weekend long, beautiful, nice little streak run right now.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I love it.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I think showers and storms come back on Monday or Tuesday,
- 0:18Speaker 1: but don't worry about that right now. Enjoy the weekend.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We had a great day yesterday at Broadway on Brian Park.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I say we we weren't there, but the station was there.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Delilah was there, and I was just talking to Danielle DeLillo,
- 0:29Speaker 1: who's in charge of our promotions. Yes, she told me
- 0:32Speaker 1: eight thousand people yesterday showed up. Oh wow at Broadway
- 0:36Speaker 1: and Brian Park. Eight thousand people.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 0:38Speaker 1: She said, it'll be fun if we try to, like
- 0:40Speaker 1: the next few days we're on the air, like especially
- 0:42Speaker 1: early next week. Yeah, we just kind of like try
- 0:44Speaker 1: to stir it up a little bit. You and meet Christine, okay,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and try to beat that number. So we could email
- 0:49Speaker 1: Delilah and say, hey, we beat you.
- 0:51Speaker 3: All right, let's do it next week.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We have Aladdin Chicago six, the musical, the twenty fifth
- 0:56Speaker 1: annual Putnam County spelling beat Titanique and Wicked.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we've got great shows too, So let's try.
- 1:05Speaker 1: To do over eight thousand next Thursday for this free
- 1:08Speaker 1: event that you know and love Broadway and Brian all.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Right, let's do it. Let's same for ten thousand.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And let's not tell right, and let's not tell Rich
- 1:16Speaker 1: Kaminski or hell a little. Yeah, this is our little
- 1:18Speaker 1: internal competition. Okay, We're going to get the numbers each
- 1:21Speaker 1: week from Danielle and just our old crew here will.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Know who will right, and we will share with you.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The Battle of Broadway and Brian Park.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Got it, by the way. Titanic so funny. I'm going
- 1:33Speaker 2: again tomorrow on Saturday.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I remember you tell so much?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I need you guys to see this show.
- 1:39Speaker 1: You told me like you legit laugh from the beginning
- 1:41Speaker 1: to end.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's like crazy funny. And it is a
- 1:45Speaker 2: limited run, just like I saw Shomega Doom last week
- 1:47Speaker 2: and it was so so funny. Eric was crying they're
- 1:49Speaker 2: limited runs. So like I'm just trying to share it
- 1:52Speaker 2: to say, like, get in there. These shows are so
- 1:54Speaker 2: much fun.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Right, and if you go to Taco Bell you'll get
- 1:56Speaker 1: limited runs sometimes depending on what let us you get.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I think there's another like go Around,
- 2:02Speaker 2: not with Taco Bell, but yeah another uh yeah, people
- 2:05Speaker 2: are getting it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Oka boy, and he still haven't found the source, right,
- 2:08Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. All right, talking about yesterday real quick.
- 2:10Speaker 1: All right, So Broadway and Brian Park we checked that
- 2:13Speaker 1: box off. I want to talk about bon Jovi again.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You mentioned it in the news. So he did a
- 2:17Speaker 1: show last night, but it ended early.
- 2:19Speaker 2: At the Garden, Yeah, because he's got a sinus infection.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So it was right after he's saying wanted dead or alive.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I think living on a prayer.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Living on a prayer that I'm looking at producer Kristen
- 2:29Speaker 2: She's yeah, she's got the facts.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Okay, and then he said this after living on a prayer.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I got it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Cool it. It's just not going to get any mother,
- 2:39Speaker 1: all right. I haven't talked any might about anything. But
- 2:43Speaker 1: don't throw away your ticket.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Stop.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So I'm going to figure something out. Okay, don't figure
- 2:47Speaker 1: just roll all the We'll figure out how to reschedule,
- 2:51Speaker 1: all right, but I'm going to have to cool it
- 2:54Speaker 1: for the night. Her breath, I see you do it soon.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So that's really nice of him, if you think about it. Yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 1: because I think in Major League Baseball, after five innings
- 3:07Speaker 1: it's called an official games.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yes, and he already went ninety minutes.
- 3:11Speaker 1: He already went. He didn't really have to do that.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, So, like you said in the news, keep your
- 3:16Speaker 1: stub because he might do a make good for that.
- 3:18Speaker 2: It sounds like he wants to. And it sounds like
- 3:20Speaker 2: he's all stuffy, just like the rest of us, just
- 3:23Speaker 2: getting like a sinus. And I know he had surgery
- 3:26Speaker 2: on his vocal cords a few years ago, so this
- 3:28Speaker 2: is like the first tour he's headed out after that
- 3:31Speaker 2: surgery too.
- 3:32Speaker 3: You know, he's gonna be really careful and like eight shows.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I think he's in the middle of or or at
- 3:35Speaker 1: the end of his eighth show or something like.
- 3:37Speaker 2: That, towards the end of the run. One more left.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we got some Bond, Jovie and more variety from
- 3:41Speaker 1: the eighties through today coming up Happy Friday.
- 3:44Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 3:47Speaker 4: expect next on Light at Them.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I need to tell you two cents.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Kobe and Christine's two pretty cool things.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You know, Christine, I was torn between two cool things
- 4:00Speaker 1: that I personally have, and I didn't know which one
- 4:02Speaker 1: to pick, but they're so short, I'm gonna do them both.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Okay, let's go for it, all right.
- 4:06Speaker 1: A million dollars and one hundred dollars bills weighs twenty
- 4:10Speaker 1: two pounds. That's them, Yeah, right, twenty two pounds. In
- 4:15Speaker 1: case you're wondering, if someone gave you a million dollars
- 4:17Speaker 1: all in one hundreds, it'd be twenty two pounds.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I could carry that home.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's okay.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And the other random fact, the number one movie at
- 4:23Speaker 1: the box office was The Odyssey the last couple of
- 4:25Speaker 1: weeks or last week. It might be again this weekend,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I think, so yeah, how many costumes do you think
- 4:31Speaker 1: were made for that movie? Oh?
- 4:34Speaker 2: I can't even begin to guess.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Five thou three hundred costumes were required for The Odyssey?
- 4:40Speaker 2: That is something else one person for one person, one
- 4:43Speaker 2: costume designer.
- 4:45Speaker 1: All right, so those are my two. So I guess
- 4:46Speaker 1: today you are getting three pretty cool things like the
- 4:49Speaker 1: old days.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bonus price today.
- 4:51Speaker 1: What is your cool thing?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Well, I would love this, cubby. Do do all of
- 4:55Speaker 2: us have the chair in the bedroom where you put
- 4:58Speaker 2: your clothes that you're like, I'm not ready to wash
- 5:01Speaker 2: this yet, but it's like not officially clean enough to
- 5:03Speaker 2: go back in the closet, and it sits on the chair.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I know exactly what you're talking about.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Okay, there is a lady. She's on TikTok. She's a
- 5:09Speaker 2: creator and she has given us the clothing chair. It
- 5:15Speaker 2: looks really cool. Her name is Simone Gertz, and the
- 5:18Speaker 2: chair and she's selling it includes a built in clothes rack.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's mounted on a rotating like Lazy Susan style platform,
- 5:25Speaker 2: so you've got the chair and then the rack can
- 5:28Speaker 2: spin around it and you can put those clothes on that.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You're like, should I wash it? Should I hang it up?
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't know what I do. What do you end
- 5:36Speaker 2: up doing with those? By the way, do they eventually
- 5:38Speaker 2: just go to the laundry.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they either end up in the laundry or I
- 5:41Speaker 1: put clothes that I just got out of the laundry
- 5:43Speaker 1: and they're there. But that chair hardly ever functions as
- 5:45Speaker 1: a chair. It's never a chair, it's always something.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It's just a holding pattern. And that's what she said.
- 5:49Speaker 2: This is furniture for the way people actually.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Live all right, hit us up by the way four
- 5:54Speaker 1: four three six three, Just text us if you have
- 5:56Speaker 1: that quote chair in your bedroom that you really don't
- 5:59Speaker 1: know what the therefore, but it holds stuff.
- 6:01Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 6:04Speaker 4: expect next on Light at Them.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It's one of six point seven m Happy Friday, Covey,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Christine the Rockets will join us live at eight o
- 6:11Speaker 1: five this morning. Big announcement. Yes, you're taking rock Cats
- 6:15Speaker 1: what July. Well, there's a connection there, all right, what's that? Bro?
- 6:19Speaker 2: What's up for? Dude?
- 6:21Speaker 4: Man?
- 6:22Speaker 2: I love this, Covey. I love studying languages, and linguists
- 6:26Speaker 2: are are catching on to the fact that we are
- 6:29Speaker 2: now calling each other bro, dude, man to everybody, and
- 6:33Speaker 2: it doesn't matter exactly, makes no difference.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You are said bro to you, like, oh, bro, last
- 6:39Speaker 1: night was so long word. I definitely said due to you.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I like saying dude, yeah, and I love saying bro.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They're calling it bro language and they're finding that now.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It's it's transcending. It's all genders, all different ages. It
- 6:53Speaker 2: just signals friendship, connection and sometimes even to soften disagreements.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Bro.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Sorry, so I do this at home with Eric all
- 7:01Speaker 2: the time, Like you say bro to him as a joke,
- 7:06Speaker 2: as a joke, you know, I'm kind of like bro, dude.
- 7:08Speaker 2: He's like what man, you know, we're kind of doing
- 7:11Speaker 2: it as a joke, but now it's sticking and but
- 7:13Speaker 2: I want to say it right. It's not just like bro.
- 7:16Speaker 1: They go bra like almost like a vocal fry going on.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Like there's a little like bra like they can't
- 7:22Speaker 2: even finish bro right, there's too much work.
- 7:24Speaker 1: There was something going viral on social media like a
- 7:27Speaker 1: couple of years ago. It was like a quick bruh.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah. It was like like a bro like a I'm
- 7:31Speaker 2: trying to do the bro like that's why I try
- 7:33Speaker 2: and do it at home, just to drive Eric nuts.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But but yes, in real life, not just in our house.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You should start saying it in meeting, bro, dude.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Mat man, Oh yeah, like next.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Time we're at a meeting with our program director Jill.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah bro yeah we bro dude.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we're not doing that.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Like listen, man, I don't know what you want us
- 7:51Speaker 2: to talk about, but are.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You cool with bro and dude? Hit us up on texts?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Anybody texting? By the way, I feel like it's been
- 7:57Speaker 1: very quiet lately.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's just us. It's a show just for us.
- 8:02Speaker 1: We need proof of life, all right? Are we talking
- 8:04Speaker 1: to just us? Four four three six three? Can you
- 8:07Speaker 1: just text in that my name is and then where
- 8:10Speaker 1: you are? Like, no, wo just let us know, dude.
- 8:14Speaker 1: We feel like we're talking to nobody. There's so many
- 8:16Speaker 1: summer vacations out there.
- 8:17Speaker 2: There's nobody in our building. There's nobody building.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Teachers aren't they're.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Sleeping in My friends with the Grand Canyon Whitewater rafting,
- 8:26Speaker 2: like my teacher friends, they're gone.
- 8:28Speaker 1: What are we doing here? All right? Seriously, we want
- 8:31Speaker 1: to hear from you. If you're tuned in at four
- 8:33Speaker 1: four three six three, please.
- 8:34Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 8:37Speaker 4: expect next on Light at them.
- 8:39Speaker 1: This really sucks one of six pointy seven light a
- 8:41Speaker 1: F M. Covey Christine producer Kristen Is that cute?
- 8:44Speaker 6: I like it?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah. So normally we kind of plan out where we're
- 8:47Speaker 1: going to talk about. But twenty seconds before we went
- 8:49Speaker 1: on the air, here Christine goes, I got a great
- 8:52Speaker 1: story about socks, and the first thing I thought of
- 8:54Speaker 1: this really socks. So I don't know what you're talking about.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I know it sounds amazing and compelling, but truly I
- 9:01Speaker 2: don't know. Like I'll ask Eric, I'll ask my friends
- 9:04Speaker 2: what exactly is in with socks? Because I don't want
- 9:07Speaker 2: to look ridiculous. I wear the little ones where you
- 9:09Speaker 2: can see them just a tiny bit like ankle socks,
- 9:13Speaker 2: not ankle, really really low but not invisible. You know
- 9:16Speaker 2: how the invisible socks have been in for a long time.
- 9:19Speaker 2: You can't even get your foot up there. Those guys,
- 9:22Speaker 2: are they in or are they not in? Here we
- 9:25Speaker 2: go gen Z and millennials are hard to paint him
- 9:30Speaker 2: and gen Z brought back you know which is the
- 9:32Speaker 2: younger said, they brought back the crew sock so you
- 9:36Speaker 2: can see your socks, so you can wear shorts and
- 9:38Speaker 2: see your socks.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Just a little bit of the socks.
- 9:41Speaker 2: The crew though is no your ankles are bit, which
- 9:45Speaker 2: I thought was like a no no. But maybe I'm
- 9:48Speaker 2: right coming from the wrong time period here, so I
- 9:50Speaker 2: thought you're not supposed to see the socks. Now gen
- 9:53Speaker 2: Z is like, oh huh, you know what, those do
- 9:56Speaker 2: look good. They're starting to like our socks again. Ones.
- 10:00Speaker 2: They're kind of invisible. So cruise socks are not completely out,
- 10:04Speaker 2: but they're starting to scrunch them back down so your
- 10:07Speaker 2: ankles can reappear, just in case you're trying to keep
- 10:10Speaker 2: up with sock trends, because I know it's one of
- 10:13Speaker 2: the top priorities in life.
- 10:15Speaker 1: That's a big deal, you know. I started wearing these
- 10:17Speaker 1: ankle socks because my cruise socks will come down just
- 10:21Speaker 1: a little bit and it'll be mid calf, like after
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm awake for a couple of days, a couple of days,
- 10:26Speaker 1: a couple hours or days, but I'll see like a
- 10:29Speaker 1: blood circulation issue.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah, you see exactly where it was sitting.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and it really puts a debt in the skin
- 10:37Speaker 1: almost right they take it off. Yeah, So I feel
- 10:40Speaker 1: like it's better. This is just me. I feel like
- 10:41Speaker 1: it's better for the leg if you wear ankle socks.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah. I like wearing the blood circular the little ones
- 10:46Speaker 2: and like, are the invisible ones still in with sneakers?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Like are you not supposed to see socks at all?
- 10:52Speaker 3: I don't know, So what are you wearing?
- 10:54Speaker 2: You can see mine like a little bit.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, see that's fine.
- 10:57Speaker 2: To me, that's okay. I'm sir, Christen's give me a positive.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I also think people don't notice it as much. They're
- 11:04Speaker 1: not paying attention like we think they are.
- 11:06Speaker 2: They're not paying attention to my sock choice every day.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I mean, first thing I do is look down.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I labor over this every day.
- 11:14Speaker 1: All right, where do you stand on the big socks debate?
- 11:17Speaker 3: Four four three six three big topics this morning?
- 11:20Speaker 1: Did anybody, by the way, text in about ten minutes
- 11:22Speaker 1: ago when I said we need proof of life?
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yes, we got love you bros. Lol, Thank you. That's
- 11:27Speaker 2: somebody who's actually listening because we had our bro conversation
- 11:30Speaker 2: seven six to three. Good morning from Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Oh wow, on that free iHeartRadio A.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Working from fifth Wheel remotely traveling us listening to every morning.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Have a great weekend.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Why thank you there are people out there.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And good morning from Brooklyn, New York City. Happy Friday.
- 11:46Speaker 2: From three four to seven.
- 11:47Speaker 1: All right, let us know what you're up to. We
- 11:49Speaker 1: want to hear from you. We'll try to shout you
- 11:51Speaker 1: out four four three six three on text? What do
- 11:54Speaker 1: you have coming up in the news.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna check the headlines and guess who has the
- 11:57Speaker 2: most annoying celebrity voice, the more.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect
- 12:03Speaker 4: next on light at them.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Good morning Christine and good morning Cubby. And of course
- 12:07Speaker 2: the city is keeping an eye on the lee Jionella
- 12:09Speaker 2: bacteria that they've been testing for on the Upper East Side,
- 12:13Speaker 2: and unfortunately some more buildings twelve of them have tested
- 12:17Speaker 2: positive for carrying that. Of course, everything is being cleaned
- 12:21Speaker 2: and they're reassuring us that they're on top of this.
- 12:24Speaker 2: A queen's community gathering to remember Sergeant Angel Rampersad, one
- 12:28Speaker 2: of the American soldiers killed in the ongoing war with Iran,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and of course her parents are just feeling the loss
- 12:35Speaker 2: in such a big way. Along with friends and family
- 12:37Speaker 2: the neighborhood in Ozone Park, they will be holding a
- 12:40Speaker 2: vigil on Monday. Imports from more than eighty countries are
- 12:44Speaker 2: now subject to new tariffs ten percent and up. Tariffs
- 12:48Speaker 2: from President Trump took effect at midnight, replacing the previous tariffs,
- 12:52Speaker 2: and the White House says the new tariffs are tied
- 12:54Speaker 2: to the imports of goods made with forced labor. Tom's River,
- 12:58Speaker 2: known for producing baseball teams that occasionally make it to
- 13:01Speaker 2: the Little League World Series. This year, the local girls
- 13:04Speaker 2: team is earning a spot in the Softball World Series.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Nice.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Yes, so congratulations to them. Bon Jovi. Last night, Madison
- 13:12Speaker 2: Square Garden had to cut the show short because he
- 13:15Speaker 2: has a sinus infection and after a while his voice
- 13:18Speaker 2: was just done. He apologized to the crowd. This was
- 13:21Speaker 2: ninety minutes in, by the way, so there was a
- 13:23Speaker 2: lot of show, but he said hold on to your
- 13:24Speaker 2: ticket stub because he wants to make it up to you.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I feel like that's something he really didn't have
- 13:28Speaker 1: to do, because he did a bulk of the show. Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: that's the kind of guy he is, and he felt bad.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So good for him, I know, good for the fans too.
- 13:34Speaker 2: And sports. We had the local teams off last night.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yankees played the Phillies in Philadelphia. Tonight, Met's play the
- 13:40Speaker 2: Dodgers at City Field. And who has the most annoying
- 13:44Speaker 2: celebrity voice? Cubby? You took a guest off there and
- 13:47Speaker 2: you got it?
- 13:48Speaker 1: Is it Kim Gardashian?
- 13:49Speaker 2: It's not Kim Oh Courtney?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Oh?
- 13:51Speaker 2: Courtney was given the honor. This was this was just
- 13:53Speaker 2: a nationwide survey where they randomly asked people. They said,
- 13:57Speaker 2: her voice is slow, it's monotone, and sometimes you don't
- 14:00Speaker 2: even understand what she's saying. Some people annoyed by Seth
- 14:04Speaker 2: Rogan and his laugh.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Oh, it doesn't bother me.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I know it's very distinctive, but some people are annoyed
- 14:11Speaker 2: by it. And we love her, but also Selena Gomez.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Some folks were complaining about her.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I will admit as much as I love her too. Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I noticed her speaking being a little bit different, like
- 14:23Speaker 1: during only Murders in the Building right, And I.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Was wondering if she was doing that for her character correct,
- 14:29Speaker 2: But I guess it's her because they're saying her singing
- 14:31Speaker 2: voice beautiful. Her speaking voice can be monotone and mumbly,
- 14:36Speaker 2: and fans have commented it's memorable for the wrong reasons,
- 14:39Speaker 2: especially when she's acting.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like her voice doesn't match her look
- 14:43Speaker 1: because it doesn't. Her voice sounds like she's eighty four
- 14:46Speaker 1: years old for some reason. I don't know what it is.
- 14:48Speaker 2: It's just it's the monotone. It's the monotone thing. And
- 14:52Speaker 2: again I thought she was doing that as a choice.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I gotta go to the kitchen and get some ice.
- 14:57Speaker 1: The way she talks.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Sometimes yeah yeah, and a little like swall the words
- 15:00Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah. And then the Kardashians are it's all about.
- 15:03Speaker 2: The Frys, Yeah, guys.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Exactly, more Covey and Christine and the great music variety
- 15:12Speaker 4: you expect next on light at them.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We have a question for you, and you know we
- 15:16Speaker 1: will not judge anybody here, but as a relationship you've
- 15:20Speaker 1: been in ever broken up because of how the person sleeps,
- 15:25Speaker 1: because this is a real big problem.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I should have laughed, but it's so well.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You found a solution, Christine, sort of, and I found
- 15:32Speaker 1: a solution. I found the right partner because.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I do know I snore, Coco loves you snores and all, yep,
- 15:38Speaker 3: And I.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Think it helps that she's such a deep sleeper that
- 15:42Speaker 1: sometimes she'll never even say anything.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's what's working for you, right right, And what is
- 15:46Speaker 2: your solution. I'm a light sleeper, hence the snore bed.
- 15:51Speaker 2: So what Eric and I have done is in the
- 15:53Speaker 2: spare bedroom, we've got the snore bed, and that's where
- 15:56Speaker 2: he goes when the snoring's out of control, tosses and
- 15:59Speaker 2: turns the drums in his sleep. So there's a few
- 16:01Speaker 2: things going on.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Wait, do you nudge him so when you know the
- 16:05Speaker 1: snoring is ramping up and it's time for the snore bed?
- 16:08Speaker 2: Is it like just an he kind of knows like
- 16:10Speaker 2: if he goes onto his back, the snoring gets worse.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I think most snores know that, right, Like if you
- 16:15Speaker 2: lay on your side, there's a chance you can get
- 16:18Speaker 2: through the night together. But once you go to your back,
- 16:20Speaker 2: snoring gets really bad. There's all stuff, like he's got
- 16:23Speaker 2: stuff on his nose and his mouth. He tries everything.
- 16:26Speaker 2: We just we can't fight it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: So candidate, by the way, before I'm sure he would be,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I am, and I gave up on it.
- 16:31Speaker 2: He won't go for the study.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I went for the study, and I got the whole
- 16:35Speaker 1: machine and everything. Yeah, but I got so frustrated with it.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I sent it back.
- 16:39Speaker 2: It's like a Darth Vader kind of mask and hurs, and.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You're supposed to get quote used to it. I never did,
- 16:46Speaker 1: And then I just would throw it off every night.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And I probably should technically still be doing it.
- 16:50Speaker 2: But yeah, it's like a health issue. But yeah, twenty
- 16:54Speaker 2: three percent of people in a very recent survey said
- 16:57Speaker 2: they've actually broken up with someone because of annoying sleep habits.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Number one was snoring, tossing and turning, stealing the covers,
- 17:05Speaker 2: watching TV well in bed. I cannot. I must be
- 17:08Speaker 2: a pain in the neck cove because I can't tolerate
- 17:10Speaker 2: that either. Even if the sound is down, I hate
- 17:12Speaker 2: because the light. Yeah, I can't sleep and I can't fall.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Asleep with the TV on. It all even a little bit,
- 17:18Speaker 1: because if you hear the volume, some people fall asleep
- 17:21Speaker 1: with the volume on. I know.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I don't get that, Like it's a comfort. It's not
- 17:24Speaker 2: white noise to me.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Not to me, right, Yeah, I pick up on a
- 17:27Speaker 1: storyline and I go.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You start listening what people get annoyed if you get
- 17:32Speaker 2: up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night,
- 17:35Speaker 2: eating in bed, listening to music while in bed, sleep talking,
- 17:38Speaker 2: and sleep walking. There you go most annoying sleep habits,
- 17:42Speaker 2: and you've actually broken up with someone over it.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there were times where you take that
- 17:46Speaker 1: I was dating somebody and you would take that first
- 17:48Speaker 1: trip with them somewhere, and that's when you really find
- 17:51Speaker 1: out the snoring habits find out a lot uh huh,
- 17:55Speaker 1: And some relationships don't go past that. First weekend getaway.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I've always said like that. You know, you're all excited
- 18:01Speaker 2: about somebody beginning of a relationship and you're like, let's
- 18:03Speaker 2: go away together. Please wait like at least six months
- 18:06Speaker 2: before you do that good call. Yeah, yeah, because that
- 18:09Speaker 2: that'll make or break you.
- 18:10Speaker 1: If you can text us, we'd love to hear from
- 18:12Speaker 1: you if sleeping habits have broken up a relationship. We're

- 20:39Speaker 1: Yes, so we you might have been tuned in a
- 20:42Speaker 1: few moments ago we played all the One for Christmas
- 20:44Speaker 1: by Mariah Carey. Yes, and I just felt the whole
- 20:46Speaker 1: Christmas in July thing, and he felt the vibe and
- 20:49Speaker 1: Kristin was filming a video of us just really getting
- 20:51Speaker 1: into the song.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yes, and I did a kick it did your rocket
- 20:55Speaker 2: kick like a rock at kick.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Will be here by the way in fifteen minutes. Yes,
- 21:00Speaker 1: my shoe like flung off hit the top of the
- 21:03Speaker 1: ceiling in all this dust, uh huh just started coming down.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been hanging out and here with us like
- 21:10Speaker 2: snow all this time, I mean so much so like
- 21:13Speaker 2: we're all choking.
- 21:15Speaker 1: So the bad news is we're all dying right now.
- 21:17Speaker 1: But the good news is it's on takeing.
- 21:18Speaker 2: We got it on video. I love how you've landed
- 21:21Speaker 2: on the floor. You're in pain, and you're like, Kristen,
- 21:23Speaker 2: did you get that? I lost my sal So Kristin
- 21:27Speaker 2: did get it, thankfully, because it's golden and we'll get
- 21:31Speaker 2: it up on social as soon as possible.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I am concerned.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I can't miss these cubby moments.
- 21:36Speaker 1: This dust problem is a big deal. It's a big
- 21:39Speaker 1: because I'm looking up at this little what do you
- 21:41Speaker 1: call it?
- 21:41Speaker 5: Like it?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Well, the lights, it's the lights, yeah, but our lights.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Are like kind of oddly shaped, right, and there's a
- 21:48Speaker 1: bunch of dust up there. No one's been up there,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you can tell at least three years. So it hit
- 21:52Speaker 1: the thing and now dust.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the amount of dust on top of the light,
- 21:57Speaker 2: which is yeah, dropped down from the ceiling a little
- 21:59Speaker 2: bit like a square. Yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Okay, okay, because I know sometimes you will have likes.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I coughed a lot in the studio and we never
- 22:09Speaker 2: thought it was here, but maybe it is maybe I
- 22:12Speaker 2: thought it's the problem it's me, but uhha, could be
- 22:16Speaker 2: studio because yes, I'm very sensitive to being around a
- 22:19Speaker 2: lot of dusts.
- 22:20Speaker 1: If we have any high ups in programming or in
- 22:23Speaker 1: engineering that are listening right now, Light FM does need
- 22:27Speaker 1: a deep cleans, I will say, though, this our board
- 22:30Speaker 1: where all the buttons are, are not too bad.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I've been we clean those every day.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Are they cleaned every day?
- 22:36Speaker 2: Victor Sosa, Oh, you're right, yeah, yep. He goes with
- 22:40Speaker 2: the clorox wipe and we do, and most people do.
- 22:43Speaker 2: We Kristin and I cleaned over here. We just didn't
- 22:47Speaker 2: realize that up in the ceiling. It's hardering all this stuff.
- 22:50Speaker 1: It's almost unhealthy, Like we're kind of kidding right now.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Almost there could be some lawsuits here.
- 22:54Speaker 2: No, not going to do that, but again, we captured
- 22:59Speaker 2: the moment. We had a couple text messages three four seven,
- 23:02Speaker 2: good morning guys, Merry Christmas in July. She is defrosting
- 23:06Speaker 2: lol Kevin in Waco, Texas. We love him three four
- 23:09Speaker 2: seven says love Christmas in July. So yeah, if you're listening,
- 23:14Speaker 2: if there's anything you want to say, please we're here.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Four four three sixty three.
- 23:18Speaker 1: And Kristen will be editing the video and I'm sure
- 23:20Speaker 1: you'll see it up on our.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Socials like as soon as possible, because again, this was
- 23:24Speaker 2: a cubby moment not to be missed. Kind of like
- 23:26Speaker 2: you're dancing on stage at Radio City. There's just some
- 23:30Speaker 2: some moments you've had that'll stand out.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Well, I blame it on you in a good way,
- 23:34Speaker 1: uh huh, because you are you are the actor in
- 23:37Speaker 1: my opinion. You've done off Broadway, you've done big shows. Yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 1: and I feel like when I'm with you, you get
- 23:45Speaker 1: I have to match your level of expertise, Cobby, because
- 23:48Speaker 1: you really are a good performer.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Well, thank you.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Tony and Tina's wedding, I saw it nineteen ninety seven.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You sat on my lap, I think, did I something
- 23:56Speaker 1: like that?
- 23:57Speaker 2: Interesting? But you know you're wonderful. I told you no,
- 24:00Speaker 2: and we'll ever upstage you, Covey every thank you.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Don't work with cubby kids or pets because there's a
- 24:08Speaker 2: theater rule, right, you know, don't work with kids or
- 24:10Speaker 2: pets because they'll always upstage you.
- 24:11Speaker 1: The kids.
- 24:11Speaker 2: We're putting you in the category.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Thank you. I make it as a compliment.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah, more Covey and Christine and the great music variety
- 24:18Speaker 4: you expect next on light.
- 24:20Speaker 1: FM one O six point seven light FM with Cobby
- 24:22Speaker 1: and Christine in the morning. Christine, I'm very confused right now. Yeah,
- 24:26Speaker 1: it looks like Christmas in here, but it's July and
- 24:29Speaker 1: tomorrow is, by the way, five months until Christmas.
- 24:32Speaker 2: So it's time to start thinking about Christmas.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yes, and the Christmas Spectacular. And we have some members
- 24:37Speaker 1: of the Radio City Rockets in the house. Yes, Welcome
- 24:40Speaker 1: Emma and welcome Jordan to light FM.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Emma, good morning, good morning, Thanks so much for having us.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Oh, it's so great to see you.
- 24:46Speaker 1: You better rock at for how many years? Emma?
- 24:48Speaker 2: This is going to be my fourth season in the
- 24:50Speaker 2: Christmas Spectacular.
- 24:51Speaker 1: And you're a Jersey girl too.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I'm a Jersey girl absolutely all right, Yeah, this is
- 24:55Speaker 2: all about Jersey. Jordan, welcome. You're from New Jersey as well.
- 24:58Speaker 6: Yes i am, and I'm so excited to be here.
- 25:00Speaker 6: I'm from Freehold originally.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Very nice and how long have you been a Rocket?
- 25:04Speaker 6: I just finished my first season, so I'm going on
- 25:06Speaker 6: to year two, which is really exciting.
- 25:09Speaker 1: So it's weird to be talking Christmas right about now,
- 25:11Speaker 1: but I get it Christmas in July. Tomorrow's at twenty fifth.
- 25:14Speaker 1: We have a lot of exciting things happening right.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Absolutely, so we are so excited to be back for
- 25:19Speaker 5: the Christmas Spectacular this season. Tickets are now available. They're
- 25:24Speaker 5: going to be from November fourth to January fourth is
- 25:27Speaker 5: our show season this year. You can get your tickets
- 25:30Speaker 5: at Rockets dot com or at the Radio City box office.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Of course, we're going to be blending some of our older,
- 25:36Speaker 5: more classic numbers such as Parade of the Wooden Soldiers
- 25:39Speaker 5: as well as some new technology as along with our
- 25:42Speaker 5: Dance of the Frost Fairies number. And we're actually really excited.
- 25:45Speaker 5: We may have a new number in store this season,
- 25:47Speaker 5: which is can't say too much about it yet, but
- 25:50Speaker 5: we are so excited and you're definitely going to have
- 25:52Speaker 5: to check.
- 25:52Speaker 3: It out this season.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And last season was so beautiful that you celebrated one
- 25:56Speaker 2: hundred years of the Rockets in Radio City, so this
- 25:59Speaker 2: year it sounds like you're doing even more so even
- 26:02Speaker 2: new number and you have even more shows than ever before.
- 26:05Speaker 6: Yes, yes, last year was such a special season celebrating
- 26:09Speaker 6: one hundred years, and this year We're really looking forward
- 26:12Speaker 6: to continuing to push the legacy and honor the history
- 26:16Speaker 6: of the Rockets and also bring in some new additions.
- 26:19Speaker 6: This year we have two hundred and thirty shows, which
- 26:21Speaker 6: is more than ever at Radio City since the debut
- 26:24Speaker 6: in nineteen thirty three. And we also have a new
- 26:27Speaker 6: piece which is really exciting. New technology, so a lot
- 26:30Speaker 6: of new new Rockets, choreography, new music. So I think
- 26:34Speaker 6: it'll be a wonderful season for people to come in
- 26:37Speaker 6: and continue to celebrate the Rockets and also look into
- 26:41Speaker 6: the future as well.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and as you mentioned, the tickets are already on
- 26:45Speaker 2: sale and it's a good move to get in there early,
- 26:47Speaker 2: so you get to go when you want.
- 26:49Speaker 1: To go, because people think about it sometimes too late. Yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 1: and then you can't get good seats. So think about
- 26:54Speaker 1: it now in julyas.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Dot com, Yeah, Rockets dot com. So where are both
- 27:00Speaker 2: view at as far as the Roughheads are concerned, when
- 27:02Speaker 2: do you start rehearsals, Like what is the stage like?
- 27:06Speaker 5: So we usually start rehearsing around the fall, about the
- 27:09Speaker 5: end of September early October, and we go right into it.
- 27:12Speaker 5: So we rehearse six hours a day, six days a
- 27:14Speaker 5: week for six weeks and then that's when our show
- 27:18Speaker 5: season begins, so we can do up to four shows
- 27:20Speaker 5: in a day. So once we once we hit the
- 27:22Speaker 5: ground running, we really are going. And it's just so
- 27:25Speaker 5: much fun to dance with Jordan and dance with these incredible, strong,
- 27:29Speaker 5: powerful women.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah right, Oh, absolutely.
- 27:33Speaker 5: We spend so much time with each other in the
- 27:35Speaker 5: Christmas season, it really feels like we have Christmas traditions,
- 27:38Speaker 5: Holiday Thanksgiving traditions. We really kind of make make a
- 27:43Speaker 5: wonderful experience. And again to be a part of this,
- 27:45Speaker 5: to be a part of such an incredible legacy. We're
- 27:49Speaker 5: definitely having all the feels from celebrating O one hundredth
- 27:51Speaker 5: anniversary last year, and we're just excited to kind of
- 27:54Speaker 5: keep going and keep growing as a company and see
- 27:57Speaker 5: what's coming next.
- 27:58Speaker 2: For anyone listening who is dreaming of being a roquette
- 28:02Speaker 2: one days, what's the best bit of advice that you
- 28:05Speaker 2: could offer?
- 28:06Speaker 5: Oh, my goodness, I think just keep dreaming and work hard,
- 28:11Speaker 5: bring that lead with that joy. Always kind of find
- 28:14Speaker 5: the joy of the of dancing and show who you are.
- 28:18Speaker 5: I never thought that I would be here. I grew
- 28:20Speaker 5: up seeing the show I'm from Bayonne, so I grew
- 28:23Speaker 5: up seeing the show every year. Such a family tradition
- 28:26Speaker 5: for us, and I never thought in a million years
- 28:28Speaker 5: that I'd be sitting.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Here right now.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Well, Emma and Jordan, thank you for stopping by. The
- 28:32Speaker 1: Next time we see you, it'll be a lot colder, yes,
- 28:36Speaker 1: but it's not too early to think about Christmas right now.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And once again, November fourth through January fourth, it's official
- 28:43Speaker 1: the twenty twenty six Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockets,
- 28:46Speaker 1: and you can buy tickets right now, right now at
- 28:49Speaker 1: rockets dot com or at the Radio City box office.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Thank you both and Gray Christmas.
