- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: This is the almost famous podcast been here joined with
- 0:09Speaker 2: Lauren and Chad and Lizzie from the Game of Roses,
- 0:12Speaker 2: also the authors of How to Win the Bachelor. We
- 0:17Speaker 2: have been discussing the Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Go
- 0:21Speaker 2: back and listen to the first part. If you haven't,
- 0:24Speaker 2: we're gonna pick up the second part right now. You
- 0:26Speaker 2: two would be the experts of this. And this is
- 0:29Speaker 2: kind of off the cuff. I'm curious. Would it be
- 0:31Speaker 2: a good career move for Kelsey to go on the
- 0:33Speaker 2: Bachelor right now? Or is the Bachelor below where she's
- 0:39Speaker 2: at with housewives?
- 0:40Speaker 3: God, I mean this opens a whole can of worms,
- 0:43Speaker 3: doesn't it.
- 0:43Speaker 4: But to be the Bachelorette I think would be worth it.
- 0:47Speaker 4: But I wouldn't go.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah going into I mean, look, you see what's been
- 0:52Speaker 3: happening over the past, even like last three or four years.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Nobody who goes into The Bachelor gets any kind of
- 0:58Speaker 3: a following coming out of it. And now you've got
- 1:01Speaker 3: a whole season that got scuttled, and all those dudes
- 1:04Speaker 3: who were on Taylor Frankie Paul's season are like trying
- 1:06Speaker 3: to make their social media and tease maybe they're going
- 1:08Speaker 3: to release the season. There's no way they're releasing that season.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Their entire effort in terms of that is wasted.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Are they going to release it?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I think they released the season.
- 1:18Speaker 5: How they will?
- 1:20Speaker 2: I don't think they care. I think they I think
- 1:21Speaker 2: it's the question of I don't know if they have
- 1:23Speaker 2: an option. I think it gets released very soon.
- 1:25Speaker 3: In fact, what with no fanfare, They're not going to
- 1:30Speaker 3: just Tulu.
- 1:31Speaker 2: They just put it out there on Hulu and say,
- 1:34Speaker 2: oh my god, yeah it's it's actually it kind of
- 1:38Speaker 2: to me and I always get in trouble with The
- 1:40Speaker 2: Bachelor now, but I'm confused. I'm confused on this whole
- 1:46Speaker 2: promotion of the contestants because it feels very like thirsty
- 1:50Speaker 2: to me, very I think it turns off most of
- 1:54Speaker 2: the viewers that would tune in because they're like, this
- 1:56Speaker 2: is these guys are acting like celebrities. And here's the
- 2:00Speaker 2: truth of the matter, if we're honest, very few people
- 2:02Speaker 2: who actually even become a lead of this show become
- 2:06Speaker 2: celebrities or that well known for that long and contestant specifically,
- 2:11Speaker 2: we have a few. Ashley is a great example of this.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Some people right rise way to the top. But I
- 2:17Speaker 2: think it's very weird to see a bunch of people
- 2:19Speaker 2: who season has not been released act like they are
- 2:24Speaker 2: celebrities right now. And I don't think it's a I
- 2:26Speaker 2: don't think it's their fault. I think the show is
- 2:28Speaker 2: almost like pushing this to make us go, we have
- 2:31Speaker 2: to watch these cool guys who dance in tiktoks on TV.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Well, one of them is going to be your next Bachelor,
- 2:37Speaker 3: And I think that's why they're doing it. That season
- 2:40Speaker 3: is going to start shooting in October and it's going
- 2:42Speaker 3: to air in January at least from everything that I've heard,
- 2:44Speaker 3: and so they have to get some of those guys
- 2:46Speaker 3: out in front of us in some capacity or it's
- 2:49Speaker 3: going to be like, here's your next Bachelor and we're
- 2:51Speaker 3: all like, who is this guy? You know it's I
- 2:55Speaker 3: don't know who it's going to be. From the kind
- 2:57Speaker 3: of like top four guys, they're all kind of in
- 2:59Speaker 3: contention at this point, and I think even the ring
- 3:01Speaker 3: winner is in contention at this point. We'll see, but
- 3:05Speaker 3: I just don't know, like that franchise is in such disarray.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I feel so bad for Scott Teddy, the guy who's
- 3:12Speaker 3: the showrunner now, because he had just this huge opportunity
- 3:16Speaker 3: and then, through no fault of his own, just through circumstance, Really,
- 3:20Speaker 3: the whole season gets scuttled. I'm very curious to see
- 3:23Speaker 3: what happens to the franchise moving forward. They obviously need
- 3:25Speaker 3: a big reset. But yeah, I don't I don't know
- 3:28Speaker 3: why they're allowing these guys to come out. I mean,
- 3:30Speaker 3: part of it, too, I think, is maybe to like
- 3:32Speaker 3: silence them a little bit. They don't want these guys
- 3:35Speaker 3: who feel like they got over to be going on
- 3:37Speaker 3: podcasts and tell us what really.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Stopped on TikTok if they don't let them do that.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Nice good point.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw two of the guys are on vacation
- 3:46Speaker 5: with two well known Bachelorette contestants.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Did you see this Maria Rachel with Shane and someone else?
- 3:55Speaker 4: And I wonder if that's like orchestrated, Like how did
- 3:57Speaker 4: this happen? I want to say, he's on another show
- 4:01Speaker 4: with Maria the Mafia.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Oh they're your mo the mob.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Media person just it's funny that those videos are so
- 4:13Speaker 4: much more cringe when the season hasn't come out yet
- 4:17Speaker 4: even though the guys always released group videos after the season,
- 4:22Speaker 4: but people are like, oh no, we want you to
- 4:24Speaker 4: be influencers after and they only want to choose the
- 4:27Speaker 4: people who are there for the right reasons to be influencers.
- 4:30Speaker 4: A thing Love Island is going through too, where it's
- 4:33Speaker 4: like they got criticized for having too many influencers last
- 4:37Speaker 4: season and this season they're fewer followers, but it's like
- 4:41Speaker 4: they're just pre influencers. They're all all going to the
- 4:44Speaker 4: same place.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Let's run through some of the characters from the Housewives.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I think for you, guys do so many things terrifically,
- 4:53Speaker 2: but one of the things you do is really understand
- 4:56Speaker 2: the character play of a reality show. Joellen is a
- 5:02Speaker 2: character on this show that is mysterious to I believe,
- 5:06Speaker 2: Lauren and I because we don't know if her intentions
- 5:12Speaker 2: are bad or good. We also don't know actually how
- 5:16Speaker 2: friendly she is with any of these girls, Like I
- 5:19Speaker 2: haven't yet been convinced that she's that close with any
- 5:22Speaker 2: of them or.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Her best friend.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Yeah, so where take me through your read on Joellane
- 5:31Speaker 6: because she is an anomaly this season for us here.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I think she's definitely a reality star as whoever said
- 5:40Speaker 4: in that last toast, you have the charisma. But I
- 5:45Speaker 4: felt so confused by the fight between her and Liz.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I was like, I really have no idea what is
- 5:50Speaker 4: going on here.
- 5:53Speaker 3: In my estimation, she's kind of like the disturber. She
- 5:56Speaker 3: understands at least the construction of a reality show very
- 5:59Speaker 3: well that like a, if I have a certain narrative
- 6:02Speaker 3: or in this case, like certain specific information like with
- 6:04Speaker 3: the rule of video, I'm going to use that to
- 6:08Speaker 3: basically center myself in whatever the big a story is.
- 6:12Speaker 3: And I think, in my opinion, that's kind of how
- 6:15Speaker 3: she's playing the entire game. It's like, how do I
- 6:16Speaker 3: insert myself? And so when a fight presents itself like
- 6:19Speaker 3: with Liz, she's not going to back down from that.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Let's give the can fight people want to see. I think, like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: I don't know what her real relationship is to any
- 6:28Speaker 3: of these players, but I think she's phenomenal at h
- 6:31Speaker 3: with her understanding of like what is required in an
- 6:34Speaker 3: ensemble reality performance to always be in the big scenes.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Like that fight scene that they all did at the
- 6:41Speaker 4: dinner table at the Sparkly party was so amazing. I
- 6:48Speaker 4: couldn't Sparky. What's Sparkley part the Studio sixties? Oh right,
- 6:52Speaker 4: the studio fifty four at our studio fifty four where
- 6:55Speaker 4: they they sat in like a I don't know, some
- 6:58Speaker 4: fancy room that had like y thing of armor. I
- 7:03Speaker 4: loved that that fight and you have the spouses like
- 7:07Speaker 4: getting involved, and I was obsessed with Joe Joellen's husband
- 7:13Speaker 4: in that scene. It was like the most like I'm
- 7:16Speaker 4: threatening you don't with my wife's situation, and I thought
- 7:19Speaker 4: that was quite attractive, especially sitting next to Torpie Brian
- 7:25Speaker 4: get him Brian, Brian Like, I'm like, what is gonna
- 7:32Speaker 4: come out of his mouth next? Every single sentence, I'm
- 7:35Speaker 4: like what in the like when he was like, I
- 7:39Speaker 4: don't know if this is middle aged or or the
- 7:41Speaker 4: pills I'm on.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Or hormones or tsone or the GLP one or the.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so so bad.
- 7:48Speaker 5: But I also would be so depressed if they didn't
- 7:50Speaker 5: show up for season two because he is the best
- 7:52Speaker 5: player honestly, because nothing has ever come out of his
- 7:55Speaker 5: mouth that I agree with.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's interesting, I would say in terms
- 7:59Speaker 3: of the and stuff, my favorite moment from the entire
- 8:03Speaker 3: season was everything that centered around slam pig, slam pig,
- 8:07Speaker 3: the use of the term, the sash, the painting of
- 8:11Speaker 3: slam pig. They really, like, I think understood in the
- 8:14Speaker 3: moment that it was said that okay, we can get
- 8:16Speaker 3: some mileage out of this, and all the players seemed to,
- 8:19Speaker 3: or at least a handful of them were on board,
- 8:20Speaker 3: not even just the ones affected by it. There was
- 8:22Speaker 3: you know, wasn't it Joellen who made the slam pig painting.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I love the slam big painting. Joe also, like, you know,
- 8:30Speaker 4: she's smart because she she shot that scene with her
- 8:33Speaker 4: mom too, so she's gotten her like tragic backstory.
- 8:38Speaker 3: For PTCs dark.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yeah, really brutal and involving the sister. And there's hints
- 8:44Speaker 4: that like overlap with the sister.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I think she's a great.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Hints of sibling stuff and hints of the mob behind
- 8:55Speaker 4: like every scene the mob.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. I've kind of forgot about the whole
- 9:01Speaker 2: thing with like the jokes about the sister and her
- 9:04Speaker 2: husband and them hanging out at one point in high
- 9:08Speaker 2: school or whenever that did exist. All right, listen up
- 9:18Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers here.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Our podcast is called Hey Jonas, but here.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Since everyone has a podcast, we wanted to as well,
- 9:23Speaker 3: and we've had some incredible guests so far, and now
- 9:25Speaker 3: our good friend Nile Horn is joining the show.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I was going, boys, hey, Nile, that's.
- 9:29Speaker 6: The same thing with slow Lands.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Slowlands is not about anything else.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Really, is it?
- 9:33Speaker 4: You know?
- 9:33Speaker 6: Or our tastes so good company about food?
- 9:36Speaker 2: You do the same, Nick, but some of the stuff
- 9:38Speaker 2: that you've done, you too, Joe.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Drop what you're doing and listen to Heye Jonas on
- 9:44Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you listen to
- 9:47Speaker 1: your podcasts.
- 9:51Speaker 2: There's also the character I want to move on to
- 9:54Speaker 2: next is Alisha. Alisha is to me very endearing in
- 9:59Speaker 2: the sweet ways, and I think I would pull my
- 10:01Speaker 2: hair out if I sat at a dinner table long
- 10:03Speaker 2: enough with like her, because I'd be like, you don't
- 10:06Speaker 2: see the world the same way I think most people
- 10:09Speaker 2: see the world. And that's great because you live in
- 10:11Speaker 2: this beautiful innocence. That's fantastic. I just like, there was
- 10:16Speaker 2: so many moments I was like snap out of it
- 10:19Speaker 2: or like look around. But the topic all like season
- 10:24Speaker 2: was the home that she was homeless. I think the
- 10:28Speaker 2: proper term nowadays is she was without a home as
- 10:32Speaker 2: a child. But this kind of flows through the season
- 10:37Speaker 2: and it obviously causes some big fights through the Liz
- 10:43Speaker 2: and Joelle in scenario. What's your take on this? And
- 10:46Speaker 2: I guess Alicia in general, does she know what she's saying,
- 10:50Speaker 2: does she mean what she's saying? Or is she just
- 10:53Speaker 2: so good at this by being herself that were endeared
- 10:58Speaker 2: to her forever.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I don't think you could write like the stuff that
- 11:03Speaker 4: Alicia is saying, like every there's so many gems out
- 11:08Speaker 4: of her mouth. I completely underestimated her. In episode one,
- 11:11Speaker 4: I was like, who is that? And then by the
- 11:14Speaker 4: end I was like, Oh, she's up there for my favorites,
- 11:17Speaker 4: Like like.
- 11:18Speaker 5: The toast for the whole summer is bitches love a
- 11:21Speaker 5: summer and people, and that is transcending like people who
- 11:25Speaker 5: don't even watch Bravo. It's just bitches love a summer.
- 11:28Speaker 5: And I'm so happy for her. But yeah, going back
- 11:32Speaker 5: to the homelessess thing, I want to know if from
- 11:34Speaker 5: like a game perspective from you guys, is what Liz
- 11:38Speaker 5: was doing just part of the game, trying to save
- 11:40Speaker 5: her ass, and like should she have saved her ass
- 11:42Speaker 5: if she was a good player you're.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Talking about in terms of Alicia saying that she was homeless. Correct, Sorry,
- 11:51Speaker 3: that's how I hear homeless.
- 11:55Speaker 5: I mean, I think that is.
- 11:58Speaker 3: It's it's so hard to like point who is kind
- 12:02Speaker 3: of like overplaying certain like that is a PTC what
- 12:05Speaker 3: we call a personal tragedy card, and there were many
- 12:07Speaker 3: good ones played this season that was hers And I
- 12:09Speaker 3: think if you're competing with like a Joellen, and you
- 12:12Speaker 3: know what that PTC is gonna be, you have to
- 12:15Speaker 3: elevate yours. So if maybe you don't really have one
- 12:18Speaker 3: that's on that level, but you're gonna say you do,
- 12:20Speaker 3: and oh, I was homeless, And then of course Liz
- 12:23Speaker 3: is gonna be like, no, you weren't you. You can't
- 12:25Speaker 3: play that PTC. Basically she's denying the play of that
- 12:28Speaker 3: saying that is not even accurate. All that said, I
- 12:31Speaker 3: think what you get out of Alicia is somebody who
- 12:34Speaker 3: is able to elevate regular situations and regular play styles
- 12:37Speaker 3: to the next level. Like in the end the proposal,
- 12:41Speaker 3: it's like, by comparison, that's the tamest looking story in
- 12:46Speaker 3: the entire season. You've got a guy getting arrested for
- 12:48Speaker 3: putting a tracking device on his wife's car. You've got
- 12:51Speaker 3: everybody's cheating on everybody with everybody you know, and hers
- 12:55Speaker 3: is I want you to propose to me again. And
- 12:58Speaker 3: it works. He makes them the hard thing and he
- 13:01Speaker 3: does the proposal, and you like feel so good about
- 13:03Speaker 3: that moment, and it's like, oh, she finally got her proposal.
- 13:06Speaker 3: And she even makes a joke like, oh, in ten
- 13:08Speaker 3: more years, I'll get my name on the house or whatever,
- 13:10Speaker 3: you know, something like that. She just has there's something
- 13:14Speaker 3: about her and some reality players have this, actually has this.
- 13:17Speaker 3: They are just like watchable whatever they're doing, You're fascinated,
- 13:21Speaker 3: you're riveted by it. And she has that ability to
- 13:24Speaker 3: just kind of elevate seemingly normal into like, whoa, this
- 13:28Speaker 3: is a crazy moment and that's a it's it's rare.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Do you think that Alicia's gonna actually get married or
- 13:35Speaker 5: is that going to be a storyline first season two?
- 13:37Speaker 5: Do you think they're gonna get married?
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that wedding will be one of the places we
- 13:42Speaker 3: see some of the biggest fights.
- 13:43Speaker 5: I assume there'll be a cracker table.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean I love the cracker thing because
- 13:49Speaker 4: that is like you're already setting up what your spahn
- 13:52Speaker 4: con can be. She can do crackers, she can do
- 13:55Speaker 4: fudgicles or yes, yes, yes, constantly like setting up spaw
- 14:01Speaker 4: con opportunities for yourself. Did you so PTC?
- 14:06Speaker 5: So Ashley didn't have a PTC and so she just
- 14:09Speaker 5: kind of said, I have nothing, but I'm scared of
- 14:11Speaker 5: my family's gonna die. Did you think that was the
- 14:13Speaker 5: right move? Because I was like Ashley when I watched it,
- 14:15Speaker 5: I was so embarrassed for her, and I was like,
- 14:18Speaker 5: you could have just made up. You could have said
- 14:20Speaker 5: your OCD was worse than it actually is, or you
- 14:22Speaker 5: know you need something, why do you say nothing?
- 14:25Speaker 4: But I guess was that the right play?
- 14:26Speaker 3: I don't think so. And that was We've seen other
- 14:30Speaker 3: players in Bachelor have that same thing. We saw Kelly
- 14:32Speaker 3: Flanagan had that in season twenty four Bachelor. I don't
- 14:36Speaker 3: have a SOB story. She said, well, make one up
- 14:39Speaker 3: when you're you're sitting at that table, and basically like that,
- 14:42Speaker 3: The entire event was what we would call a circle
- 14:45Speaker 3: of pain, where each player is required to play at PTC.
- 14:51Speaker 3: You don't necessarily have to do it, but she could
- 14:53Speaker 3: have done this. This is what I would have done
- 14:55Speaker 3: if I was her, I would have said, look, I
- 14:56Speaker 3: come from another reality franchise. I was on reality TV
- 14:58Speaker 3: before any of you guys, and it put in me
- 15:01Speaker 3: a distrust of anybody that I'm in a situation like
- 15:04Speaker 3: this with. And so coming into this situation, I didn't
- 15:07Speaker 3: know what to expect, but I knew I couldn't trust
- 15:09Speaker 3: any of you. But now I've been here for a
- 15:10Speaker 3: while and I've gotten to know you, and you're literally
- 15:13Speaker 3: my best friends. You're the closest people to me in
- 15:14Speaker 3: my life. So that my PTC is like, you've helped
- 15:17Speaker 3: me overcome my distrust of being in a situation like this,
- 15:21Speaker 3: and I feel like I can tell you anything something.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I would like to go one step further and say
- 15:26Speaker 4: that The Bachelor exploited her virginity and like she was
- 15:30Speaker 4: in this unrequited thing with Jared for so long. They
- 15:35Speaker 4: gave her a really weird edit in Bachelor and Paradise
- 15:37Speaker 4: that one season when they came back to the boom
- 15:41Speaker 4: Boom room. Yeah, she has real ones that she could use.
- 15:45Speaker 4: But I mean, you're on the spot, you're playing against
- 15:47Speaker 4: these I know mammoth players like that. I love the
- 15:52Speaker 4: compeition of those two yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of people in the comments, like on
- 15:57Speaker 5: TikTok and things are saying like no, I get it,
- 16:00Speaker 5: I get it. I understand what she's saying, like someone's
- 16:01Speaker 5: gonna die, it's gonna be awful one day, blah blah blah.
- 16:04Speaker 5: But yeah, the virginity thing is definitely something she could
- 16:07Speaker 5: have said. Also, she's never feel sexy because of that
- 16:11Speaker 5: because people always treated her like this just throwaway virgin,
- 16:14Speaker 5: which also like in turn made her very like not
- 16:16Speaker 5: confident in some ways, like you have a lot of
- 16:19Speaker 5: things you could work with there. But either way, what
- 16:21Speaker 5: we got from that scene was the mask, and we
- 16:23Speaker 5: were pleased.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I'll take it crazy because I was like, oh, what
- 16:29Speaker 3: kind of mask is actually gonna have?
- 16:30Speaker 5: And then I saw that one.
- 16:31Speaker 3: I was like the hardcore that's terrible.
- 16:36Speaker 2: It's brilliant. I loved every second of it. It was
- 16:39Speaker 2: so good because she was looking so pretty. You know,
- 16:42Speaker 2: she spent hours on her makeup. She had this beautiful
- 16:46Speaker 2: dress and they give her a full face mask because
- 16:51Speaker 2: there's wonderful television to watch.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Oh, I loved it.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Wait whose team are you guys on with Kelsey Rosie Rosa.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Well, I'm a little biased there.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think there were moments where I
- 17:08Speaker 2: switched back and forth overall, especially like episodes one through
- 17:13Speaker 2: what five, I was very much team Rosie. I was like,
- 17:15Speaker 2: Kelsey is just bowling this girl up and down, And
- 17:20Speaker 2: then the fight at the house made me switch. I
- 17:23Speaker 2: thought Rosie went a little too far. Yeah, I think
- 17:28Speaker 2: there was a lot of anger over a joke that
- 17:31Speaker 2: was not funny, but it made it. It was enough
- 17:34Speaker 2: of a joke wer you're like, Okay, whatever she's trying,
- 17:37Speaker 2: she's trying to connect here. And then the rest of
- 17:40Speaker 2: the season, I'm honestly, it was pretty tame. Outside of
- 17:44Speaker 2: Audrey's coffee shop. They kind of came back together and
- 17:46Speaker 2: it wasn't a story to remember. The interesting side of
- 17:50Speaker 2: Real Housewives to me is that these storylines exist outside
- 17:55Speaker 2: of the show now, and that will exist in season two.
- 17:57Speaker 2: But the big controversies came with Kelsey going on interviews
- 18:00Speaker 2: and still talking about things and you know, criticizing Ashley,
- 18:05Speaker 2: criticizing Rosie, criticizing some of these people, and then you're like, Okay,
- 18:09Speaker 2: I cannot wait to watch where this comes back up
- 18:13Speaker 2: in season two With The Bachelor, it's kind of into
- 18:15Speaker 2: the chapter done, everybody moves on. You might follow the
- 18:19Speaker 2: couple for a couple of months that they're together and
- 18:21Speaker 2: then you forget about them. But with this, you're like
- 18:24Speaker 2: still following it, waiting for it to air on our televisions,
- 18:28Speaker 2: And that's different for me.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the beauty of these housewives and kind of
- 18:34Speaker 3: shows where you get to have the same characters coming
- 18:36Speaker 3: back season after season, see how it develops in the
- 18:38Speaker 3: off season on the podcast and whatever. But I mean,
- 18:40Speaker 3: like you're saying, Kelsey's going on these podcasts basically shit
- 18:43Speaker 3: talking everybody. She's actively accepting the heel role. She's like,
- 18:48Speaker 3: hate me, please hate me. I'm gonna be the villain
- 18:51Speaker 3: of Real Housewives Rhode Island. And that's a great position
- 18:55Speaker 3: to hold because you need that person in every season.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and to be in to hold that position gladly
- 19:02Speaker 2: in every season, and she seems like she's gonna do it.
- 19:15Speaker 2: The final person I wanted to touch on with the
- 19:18Speaker 2: two of you is our beloved Ashley. We are very
- 19:22Speaker 2: biased here, so it was hard for us this season.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I you know, Lauren's her sister, but even from my
- 19:29Speaker 2: own viewing experience, I don't want to say I'm proud
- 19:32Speaker 2: of her. That seems like the meaning in some way.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I don't know if I would have done worse on
- 19:37Speaker 2: the show. I just watched her and I found I was.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I felt a gladness in my heart that she's a
- 19:42Speaker 2: friend of mine. I also enjoyed watching her on television
- 19:46Speaker 2: because she was authentic to herself and so many of
- 19:49Speaker 2: these moments. She carried herself in the Housewives franchise in
- 19:54Speaker 2: a way that I agree was relatable and different enough
- 19:59Speaker 2: to make I think the average viewer from the Midwest,
- 20:02Speaker 2: which is where I'm from, go, I get that girl,
- 20:05Speaker 2: like I understand her, and I like watching her like
- 20:09Speaker 2: try to function in this crazy environment of you know,
- 20:13Speaker 2: intermingling marriages and friendships that are splitting apart and coming together.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I like watching it so as I will give her
- 20:20Speaker 2: an a plus in the season. I want to hear
- 20:21Speaker 2: from the two of you, though, And you can be
- 20:23Speaker 2: mean to Ashley. She's fine, she can she.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Can obviously handle it.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but tell us what you thought with the
- 20:29Speaker 2: expectations you had on how Ashley did on the Real
- 20:32Speaker 2: Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 20:34Speaker 4: I had high expectations, but again I was worried after
- 20:37Speaker 4: that trailer, but I thought she blew it out of
- 20:40Speaker 4: the water. I thought it was incredible. I was following
- 20:45Speaker 4: closely the Audrey storyline. I couldn't wait for Chad to
- 20:48Speaker 4: get to the episode where they get under the table.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I think they should like put a little thing on
- 20:54Speaker 4: that table, like the black or put the characters in
- 20:57Speaker 4: the seats or something. It's a good idea dash memorialize it.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I like, yeah, I see what you're saying about proud,
- 21:06Speaker 4: But as a fan of Ashley, like, I was like,
- 21:10Speaker 4: she just did amazing. It was incredible, and yeah, I
- 21:14Speaker 4: can't wait to see the next season. I think she
- 21:16Speaker 4: could delve more into the the Jared storyline because that is,
- 21:21Speaker 4: like the unrequited love thing is very relatable and I
- 21:25Speaker 4: feel like, I don't know there's something there.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Yeah, it is relatable.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 21:30Speaker 5: She wants, she doesn't want, she feels bad having like
- 21:33Speaker 5: think like the whole storyline be essentially about Jared, and
- 21:36Speaker 5: she's like, tak it about me, like I can talk
- 21:38Speaker 5: about myself. I can make myself over that Jared not
- 21:44Speaker 5: sign up for this for what it's worth.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I mean, I'll piggyback on what Lizzie is saying I
- 21:49Speaker 3: loved watching her. I thought she did fantastic. This is
- 21:52Speaker 3: the first time we've seen a big Bachelor player go
- 21:56Speaker 3: into the Housewives franchise ever, and this like she's breaking
- 21:59Speaker 3: ground here, this is trailblazing. I was blown away by it.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I was obviously curious to see what is she going
- 22:06Speaker 3: to do in this other context that isn't a Bachelor
- 22:09Speaker 3: World thing? And I thought she did it so well
- 22:12Speaker 3: to be both relatable but also to be able to
- 22:14Speaker 3: hang with some of these like clearly heavyweight kind of
- 22:18Speaker 3: housewivesy and style players. She was able to do that.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I think for her second season, like if she wants
- 22:24Speaker 3: to make it about her for my money, if I'm
- 22:27Speaker 3: Ashley and I'm Jared and I'm sitting down right now
- 22:30Speaker 3: as I know they must be thinking about what are
- 22:31Speaker 3: we going to do in season two, Ashley should come
- 22:35Speaker 3: into Audrey's and say, look, I'm going to turn this
- 22:37Speaker 3: place into a money making machine. Here's what we're going
- 22:41Speaker 3: to do. And she should kind of take the reins,
- 22:43Speaker 3: let him do the nuts and bolts like making the coffees,
- 22:45Speaker 3: make go into the cost code of Biles, whatever, but
- 22:48Speaker 3: she should come in with a creative plan about like
- 22:51Speaker 3: we're going to give this one big shot and if
- 22:53Speaker 3: this doesn't work, we close it down. So you've got
- 22:56Speaker 3: a built in ticking clock. By the end of the season,
- 22:58Speaker 3: we're going to see if she did it or not.
- 23:00Speaker 3: She can have a couple of big events that all
- 23:02Speaker 3: the other housewives have to come to to like really
- 23:04Speaker 3: launch and make that like a huge story about like
- 23:08Speaker 3: it's it's gonna be a big life decision they're gonna
- 23:11Speaker 3: have to make at the end of this if it
- 23:12Speaker 3: doesn't work. But if it does, Holy Audrey's Is finally
- 23:16Speaker 3: achieves the success that they wanted it to and Jared
- 23:19Speaker 3: can can take some time off to go golfing or whatever.
- 23:22Speaker 5: I love it. You are now the executive producer of
- 23:24Speaker 5: the show. Okay, that was so good.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I'm available.
- 23:28Speaker 5: I love that. I'm gonna tell Ashley that later. I
- 23:30Speaker 5: know that they're pitching actually do other things with Audrey's
- 23:34Speaker 5: that are a little more scandalous that we're not really
- 23:37Speaker 5: pleased with. I don't think I can say it right now.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I don't think I can say it, but I hope
- 23:44Speaker 5: that it's your way.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I would love to see how an Ashley and
- 23:48Speaker 2: Jared coffee shop that serves generous coffee becomes scandalous.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well we'll see. I'm so confused.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Can everybody start going Yeah? Can ever we just start
- 24:04Speaker 2: going to Audrey so we don't have to deal with
- 24:05Speaker 2: any weird changes. They are a big client on line
- 24:07Speaker 2: and I need them to.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Stick around strip club to me, but that can't be.
- 24:12Speaker 4: It will still be delicious, that's all that matters.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Goodness, gracious, Hey.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I mean maybe they want to collab with Liz sell
- 24:21Speaker 4: some of their Yeah and a pause, do a CBD martini.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Yeah or something.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Hey, the two of you are great and thanks for
- 24:32Speaker 2: jumping on here. Thanks for breaking down the real Housewives
- 24:35Speaker 2: of Rhode Island. The work that you do is fantastic
- 24:38Speaker 2: on the game of Roses. And then also, if you're intrigued,
- 24:43Speaker 2: at some point you might want to change the name
- 24:44Speaker 2: of this to like how to Win a reality show?
- 24:46Speaker 2: But how to Win the Bachelor? I think still works
- 24:49Speaker 2: for now, but that's just strategic maybe, but how to
- 24:57Speaker 2: Win the Bachelor is also a fantastic greed. Lizzie and Chad,
- 25:01Speaker 2: thanks for jumping on. We I hope we can do
- 25:03Speaker 2: this again.
- 25:04Speaker 4: You can't wait to hear about sexy Audreys.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Hang on, yeah, stop recording, He'll get it.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Hey, we'll see you later, everybody.
