Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So we got an email from Todd who was a
- 0:07Speaker 1: reach program reached out to buy Barrett Media well, and
- 0:14Speaker 1: they said that they wanted to do a feature on
- 0:18Speaker 1: us on their newsletter.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they have a I've gone to their website Barrettmedia
- 0:24Speaker 2: dot com, and they cover all kinds of media. They
- 0:27Speaker 2: cover sports, sports, broadcasting, news, music, business. But they did.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Something that I'm not a fan of because we've been
- 0:42Speaker 1: interviewed before and we've had people send us the questions
- 0:47Speaker 1: and they say, just answer the questions via email and
- 0:51Speaker 1: we'll put it together.
- 0:52Speaker 2: See that's us doing the work for them.
- 0:55Speaker 3: But what would you rather they should call and ask
- 0:58Speaker 3: us questions, like have a conversation.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Because this is homework. But yeah, it is. But their
- 1:04Speaker 2: argument is, and I kind of understand this, they say,
- 1:07Speaker 2: if you do not, you won't be misquoted. Well you know, okay,
- 1:13Speaker 2: let me back up. They say, we do this because
- 1:17Speaker 2: it's your words. You write them down, uh, and so
- 1:20Speaker 2: you're not misquoted. Uh. Then we'll print it out and
- 1:25Speaker 2: then send it back to you to make sure that
- 1:27Speaker 2: everything's acted.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Again.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But again, but again, they could do the same thing
- 1:31Speaker 2: with just interviewing us. Yes, just and then send us
- 1:35Speaker 2: a copy of what they've done interviewing us.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So they want us to write the interview and then
- 1:39Speaker 1: proof read it and edit it.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Well, we didn't. We We could have said we didn't
- 1:44Speaker 2: want to do it. Yeah, no, we should do it. Well, well,
- 1:49Speaker 2: we've committed to doing it now. I mean we could
- 1:55Speaker 2: have said when it's.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Nice to be asked, it means, it means I suppose
- 2:01Speaker 3: I think somebody will care about reading about what we
- 2:05Speaker 3: do here.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Well, I've been reading on their website about ku Zz's
- 2:10Speaker 2: Kennon Nest show in the morning in Bakersfield. That's very
- 2:14Speaker 2: exciting reading.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And I must say, well, I don't I don't feel
- 2:19Speaker 1: like sitting down and doing homework.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Well, but we have to send them back answers.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Well, I would. Well, here's what I would suggest is
- 2:28Speaker 1: that we take these questions and we have other people
- 2:32Speaker 1: answer them for us, who I don't know.
- 2:37Speaker 2: We could post it on social media. There's a couple
- 2:40Speaker 2: of things that they couldn't. So the first question is
- 2:44Speaker 2: need a brief background on careers and history of the show.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Probably not not. Anybody on social media is very competent
- 2:50Speaker 2: to do that. So we'd have to do that. But
- 2:53Speaker 2: then the next one need a description of each character
- 2:56Speaker 2: and what they bring to the show.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Well, other people could do that.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, people could do that social media. What role does
- 3:02Speaker 2: the show play in the community. I think there are
- 3:06Speaker 2: people in the community to better qualified to answer that
- 3:08Speaker 2: than we all.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's hard for me to answer that question.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Any passion projects or special events for the show. We
- 3:15Speaker 2: could answer that simply. Everybody would just say no. Yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 2: because the word passion is lifting. There has anything happened
- 3:23Speaker 2: on the show that has completely turned things upside down?
- 3:26Speaker 2: People could answer that, is there a bit that the
- 3:29Speaker 2: show is known for that? Yeah? How do you prep
- 3:34Speaker 2: for the show with multiple characters? That one? That one?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Now we'd have to answer that one. What separates your
- 3:42Speaker 2: show from everybody else? What's a good one for other people?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Let other people answer have you experimented with AI at all?
- 3:49Speaker 2: What impact do you think it'll have on the industry?
- 3:51Speaker 1: We can answer that one no, no, and we don't
- 3:53Speaker 1: want to and nothing good.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it will have nothing, no good impact. What are
- 3:58Speaker 2: the advantages of working for a smaller company? We need
- 4:02Speaker 2: to answer that one. Yeah, what else?
- 4:05Speaker 3: You know what we could do? We could take this
- 4:08Speaker 3: to the Lights Camera brunch and ask people there if
- 4:12Speaker 3: they wanted to answer those questions for it.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It's just a thought, how how would we uh what
- 4:20Speaker 2: we do? Pass a hand out? And then by the
- 4:22Speaker 2: end of the show they had hand in their answers
- 4:24Speaker 2: like worksheets. Well then, but then they'd be doing that
- 4:28Speaker 2: and not paying attention for the fun and games. Okay,
- 4:32Speaker 2: it was just a thought, the key tags and fun.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's what That's what turned the show upside down.
- 4:42Speaker 2: What are the advantages of working for a smaller company?
- 4:44Speaker 2: What is radio missing right now? How do we get
- 4:47Speaker 2: it back?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Just let us answer these questions for you. We have
- 4:51Speaker 3: Wikipedia for your career histories.
- 4:54Speaker 2: The Wikipedia is not correct. It's pretty it's pretty good.
- 4:58Speaker 2: It's not the Last time I looked at it, it
- 5:00Speaker 2: wasn't bad. What's ahead for the show in twenty twenty five?
- 5:05Speaker 2: You guys cannot listeners cannot answer that because neither can we. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 2: neither can we. And what socials do you want listed?
- 5:13Speaker 2: All of them? Yeah? Yeah, all of them? So yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 2: it's good.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Well, I don't know why you hate this carry that's why,
- 5:22Speaker 3: but we do.
- 5:23Speaker 1: If this Charisse were to call us and get us
- 5:27Speaker 1: on a conference call and ask us these questions and
- 5:30Speaker 1: we just answered them and then she went off and
- 5:31Speaker 1: did her work and then send us the send us
- 5:33Speaker 1: the article, and then we could go that's wrong, that's right.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It sounds like she's trying to prevent that.
- 5:39Speaker 2: The way we would the way well either way, that's
- 5:43Speaker 2: how you but the way the way we would have
- 5:45Speaker 2: to do it, the way they want to is that
- 5:47Speaker 2: we each take a question or we each answer all
- 5:51Speaker 2: of the questions, which is which is uh? I mean
- 5:57Speaker 2: we could do that, you know. Number two, description of
- 6:01Speaker 2: each character and what they bring.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I don't want to describe myself and what I bring
- 6:05Speaker 3: to the show. That.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to describe. I don't want to
- 6:09Speaker 2: describe you either. See and I don't think because you don't,
- 6:14Speaker 2: why Gina what I think you're undescribable.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I thought having listeners do this was a pretty good idea,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and that I saw Katie's face and she is.
- 6:22Speaker 2: She going, no, no, She was just like, I don't know, Well,
- 6:28Speaker 2: we'll talk, we'll talk, we'll conference on this a little
- 6:30Speaker 2: bit more. But I guess we've committed to do it,
- 6:35Speaker 2: so we have to or or we could just or
- 6:39Speaker 2: we could just ghost them. We don't want to be
- 6:42Speaker 2: those people. We've ghosted people that we work with. What
- 6:46Speaker 2: are you talking about? Yeah, there are people in this
- 6:48Speaker 2: building I haven't talked to in five years exactly.
- 6:51Speaker 3: But look, if we're going to go do a contract negotiation,
- 6:54Speaker 3: we can say, look at we were interviewed for this prestigious.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Next No, no, no, that's it. That's it. I don't
- 7:03Speaker 2: believe that's a nace in our pocket. Probably not anyway.
- 7:06Speaker 2: All Right, well we'll figure it out
