- 0:25Speaker 1: hour number two Jessica Smetana go to join us and
- 0:28Speaker 1: hour number one coming up in about fifteen to twenty minutes. Taylor,
- 0:32Speaker 1: are you excited here for the NFL season? It feels
- 0:34Speaker 1: like you are knee deep in Yankee Baseball right now,
- 0:37Speaker 1: not really paying attention to what's coming right around the corner.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And that's the NFL. How about that?
- 0:42Speaker 3: So, I'm a multi TV guy. I have a great,
- 0:46Speaker 3: a great ability to multitask when it comes to sports.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I'm going to be locked in the second the NFL starts. Now,
- 0:52Speaker 3: I'm not as high on preseason, even though I do
- 0:54Speaker 3: do my winners and losers as people know. Yeah, but
- 0:56Speaker 3: once the NFL starts, They've got me.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Hm, I asked mikeyya, he is so focused on the NFL.
- 1:03Speaker 1: He is so focused. He's a knee deep in fantasy magazines.
- 1:06Speaker 1: He's getting ready.
- 1:08Speaker 4: In college in college football.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Right before the show started, I said, hey, you interested
- 1:12Speaker 1: in the Kawhi Leonard story. He looked at me and said, no,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he has no interest in it. I will say this,
- 1:19Speaker 1: the idea that the NBA investigated that Okay, we'll get
- 1:23Speaker 1: to an NFL game here in just a second. But
- 1:26Speaker 1: the idea that the NBA investigated whether or not Bomber
- 1:30Speaker 1: directly knew about how they were paying Kawhi Leonard and
- 1:34Speaker 1: the deal that was cut with Kawhi Leonard. The idea
- 1:37Speaker 1: that the NBA did an investigation, and their investigation came back.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Their investigators came back and said Bomber had no idea.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Get the hell out of here. Okay, they didn't want
- 1:48Speaker 1: to find that out. They didn't want to tell us.
- 1:50Speaker 1: There is no way that entire thing goes down without
- 1:53Speaker 1: Steve Bomber knowing it's going down. Is that fair.
- 1:56Speaker 3: It's kind of like a situation in college sports where
- 2:00Speaker 3: team investigates itself and then reports its finding to the NCAA.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Like North Carolina investigates itself. North Carolina doesn't find any
- 2:09Speaker 3: anything wrong with North Carolina did.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yes, We've investigated the situation and we have found nothing here.
- 2:15Speaker 3: We put our best team on it.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Yeah, mister Bomber, did you know no? Are you sure?
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yes? All right?
- 2:22Speaker 4: I got nothing else.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'll give you a third chance. I mean, imagine someone
- 2:29Speaker 1: underneath Bomber pulling the trigger on that without Bomber knowing
- 2:33Speaker 1: of it. That's ridiculous. They get fired.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I've seen some people trying to do a victory lap
- 2:38Speaker 3: on Pablo Torre today saying that Pablo must have gotten
- 2:41Speaker 3: the story wrong. He did it, He did not get
- 2:44Speaker 3: the story wrong. Ty Lawson was one of them. Like
- 2:46Speaker 3: Ty Lawson was like Chapablo get fined or or fired
- 2:50Speaker 3: for his.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Pablo.
- 2:52Speaker 3: This is probably the best case scenario for Pablo because
- 2:55Speaker 3: you know Stu. Yeah, he's always got more in this Iceberg.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh there's more. There are files that have
- 3:01Speaker 1: not been revealed yet, I promise you.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Like when the NBA came out yesterday and was like,
- 3:06Speaker 3: we investigated it, the NBA did nothing wrong in this situation.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Somewhere Pablo had his feet kicked up and he was
- 3:12Speaker 3: just rubbing his hands saying, this is exactly what I need.
- 3:16Speaker 1: No, He's got him right where he wants him. They
- 3:20Speaker 1: felt for it. It's unbelievable. But can you imagine stretch
- 3:24Speaker 1: this thing out, Mikey. Can you imagine someone underneath Bomber
- 3:29Speaker 1: pulling the trigger on that without his knowledge? It seems ridiculous.
- 3:33Speaker 5: There's no chance that's And he's not just like one
- 3:37Speaker 5: of those really really really rich guys. He's one of
- 3:39Speaker 5: those crazy, really really really rich guys who has to
- 3:42Speaker 5: have his hands and everything. He absolutely knows everything that's
- 3:45Speaker 5: going on under him.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Now it's perfect that this was actually the lead into
- 3:51Speaker 3: this NFL game that I have because people are looking
- 3:53Speaker 3: at this Kawhi situation and saying is it something or
- 3:57Speaker 3: is it nothing?
- 3:58Speaker 5: Right?
- 3:58Speaker 3: And just so happens, my NFL game today is called
- 4:03Speaker 3: something or nothing.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I'll tell this man, he's not locked in on football.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So I will give you guys some headlines, and you
- 4:16Speaker 3: have to tell me whether it's something or nothing?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Really? Okay? Got it, Mikey? Clear on the game here
- 4:21Speaker 1: or very clear it's something or nothing?
- 4:25Speaker 4: It's something, all right?
- 4:26Speaker 3: First headline Briest Hall out two to three weeks for
- 4:29Speaker 3: the New York Jets, but he is expected to play
- 4:32Speaker 3: in the opener. Guys, something or nothing.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it's a nothing burger, Mikey. I mean,
- 4:41Speaker 1: he's out for a couple of preseason games. He'll be
- 4:43Speaker 1: fine for Week one. I don't like that. You know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: a lot of people are high in the Jets this year.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I hate that. I wish people would say bad things
- 4:49Speaker 1: about the Jets. There's no way this team's gonna be
- 4:51Speaker 1: that good. But that's that's that's nothing for me.
- 4:55Speaker 4: It's a whole lot of nothing.
- 4:56Speaker 5: I mean, take take the first few weeks off, you
- 4:58Speaker 5: know what, Take the season off, get yourself right this season,
- 5:02Speaker 5: go into the weight room, train, stretch out, whatever you
- 5:04Speaker 5: gotta do, get ready for next year.
- 5:07Speaker 4: That's where we're gonna need you.
- 5:08Speaker 3: This is nothing, Yeah, you got it. Bothers me that
- 5:11Speaker 3: you guys come in with the Jets every day with
- 5:13Speaker 3: the glass half empty. Look, the reason why this is
- 5:17Speaker 3: is a nothing.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's completely empty.
- 5:20Speaker 3: The reason why this is a nothing in the something
- 5:23Speaker 3: or nothing is because the initial reports where Breyce Hall
- 5:27Speaker 3: went down with a non contact injury. And when you
- 5:29Speaker 3: hear non contact injury, yeah, you almost assume it's an
- 5:32Speaker 3: achilles now or an acl the fact that he's only
- 5:35Speaker 3: gonna be out two to three weeks, yep, means that
- 5:38Speaker 3: the Jets avoided something a major catastrophe. But it sounds
- 5:41Speaker 3: like Mikey is basically rooting for a major catastrophe at
- 5:44Speaker 3: this point.
- 5:44Speaker 1: We want that Achilles to tear or he does want them,
- 5:46Speaker 1: he wants them to sit out for the season.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I want him to sit out the season without the injury. Oh,
- 5:52Speaker 4: I said, I don't want him to get hurt. I'm
- 5:54Speaker 4: just saying you, RelA, Listen, this might be a hamstring string.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Let's not let's not push it, take your time, don't
- 6:00Speaker 5: worry about it.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'd be give with that. Next story.
- 6:04Speaker 3: So we're going to go across the team actually in
- 6:07Speaker 3: the same stadium. So the Giants signed Naji Harris today
- 6:10Speaker 3: to help their running back room. But that's not actually
- 6:13Speaker 3: what the headline is. I'm watching the Giants preseason game
- 6:16Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, yeah, Odell Beckham Junior is on
- 6:19Speaker 3: the Giants. Is Odell Beckham Junior on the Giants something
- 6:23Speaker 3: or nothing? Because it seems like he's on the bubble
- 6:26Speaker 3: of making the roster.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I can't believe he's a bubble guy.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Now, I think this is nothing because I think they
- 6:34Speaker 5: just kind of gave him a hey, we'll give you
- 6:36Speaker 5: a shot. But I don't think he's really gonna contribute
- 6:39Speaker 5: to this team at all, and I think they'll have
- 6:42Speaker 5: to get rid of him. They'll have to cut him
- 6:43Speaker 5: because every time he isn't.
- 6:45Speaker 4: On the field.
- 6:46Speaker 5: If he's on the team, it's going to be more
- 6:48Speaker 5: of a story than if he does anything.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Do we know if Neighbors is going to be healthy
- 6:52Speaker 1: for the season opener? Do we know that.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Seems like it seems like it's on the fence, he's
- 6:56Speaker 3: gonna trending that way.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I'm going to say nothing. As well. The fact that
- 7:00Speaker 1: Odell Beckham Junior is a bubble guy now means the
- 7:03Speaker 1: story means nothing to me. I mean, I can't believe
- 7:05Speaker 1: we arrived there that quickly with him by the ways,
- 7:07Speaker 1: it's amazing.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna say it's something only because when you're looking
- 7:10Speaker 3: at this Giants wide receiver room, it leaves a lot
- 7:14Speaker 3: to be desired. Outside of elite Neighbors. They have Malchi Fields,
- 7:17Speaker 3: the rookie from Notre Dame, where it's it has to
- 7:23Speaker 3: be something because I want it to be something I
- 7:25Speaker 3: still think of Odell Beckham Junior as being this wide
- 7:28Speaker 3: receiver one. I think of that one moment hall of
- 7:30Speaker 3: Fame for him with that catch. Yes, and when he
- 7:33Speaker 3: goes to the Giants, you want the reunion.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah. When he made that catch, I swore to myself
- 7:38Speaker 1: he's going to be the best wide receiver we've ever seen.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's why I'm so surprised he's a bubble guy. I mean,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's crazy, what a fall from grace the Hall of
- 7:47Speaker 1: Fame one moment. You're right by the way he's up
- 7:49Speaker 1: on Jackson Dart like no one knows if he's good enough.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm tired of everyone hyping up the Giants because of
- 7:54Speaker 1: John Arba. I have no idea if Jackson to heart
- 7:57Speaker 1: is good at quarterback. I've seen him play a handful
- 7:59Speaker 1: of game the NFL, and everyone's making him out to
- 8:02Speaker 1: be some sort of superstar. He's not.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Just to be clear, I feel like you've been the
- 8:06Speaker 3: one driving up the hype on the Giants.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm yelling at myself.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Can't you actually bet them to win the Super Bowl?
- 8:17Speaker 1: There might pick out of the NFC next one, do
- 8:20Speaker 1: Taylor something or nothing? Here?
- 8:22Speaker 3: So Odell Beckham Junior is looking to turn back the
- 8:24Speaker 3: clock with the Giants reunion. Another receiver looking to turn
- 8:28Speaker 3: back the clock, Keenan Allen, Oh Wow, has signed with
- 8:31Speaker 3: the Indianapolis Colt. Really, does Keenan Allen have something left
- 8:36Speaker 3: in the tank? This signing something or nothing?
- 8:39Speaker 1: So you're asking does he have something left in the
- 8:40Speaker 1: tank or nothing left in the tank?
- 8:42Speaker 3: The headline is Keenan Allen to the Colts? Is it
- 8:45Speaker 3: something or nothing? And if you think it's something, that
- 8:47Speaker 3: would mean you think he has something left in the tank.
- 8:49Speaker 3: If you think it's nothing, he's running on you.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I think Keenan Allen has something left in the tank.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I think this story is something. I think the Colts
- 8:56Speaker 1: are a pretty good football team and Keenan Allen makes
- 8:58Speaker 1: them a better football team. What we're that's last year.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I have no idea where Keenan Allen played and if
- 9:03Speaker 1: he had a good season last year, but it seems
- 9:05Speaker 1: like he always has a pretty good season.
- 9:06Speaker 3: So he was back with the Chargers. He's still had
- 9:08Speaker 3: eighty one catches for seven hundred and seventy seven yards
- 9:11Speaker 3: four touchdowns. To him, Keenan Allen is getting up there
- 9:14Speaker 3: in age he's thirty four, but he's still he still
- 9:17Speaker 3: feels like a very productive wide receiver. And with the Colts,
- 9:21Speaker 3: you lose Michael Pittman. Michael Pittman goes to Pittsburgh. There
- 9:25Speaker 3: are there should be enough pieces where he can kind
- 9:28Speaker 3: of just slot into that wide receiver one. But then
- 9:30Speaker 3: you also have Alec Pierce, you have Josh Downs, you
- 9:33Speaker 3: have a great running game in Jonathan Taylor. I mean,
- 9:36Speaker 3: Josh Davis.
- 9:39Speaker 5: This is a little bit of a something because I
- 9:41Speaker 5: think that he's going to be the safety blanket. I
- 9:44Speaker 5: think you've got Alec Peers who's gonna go over the top.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I think he got Josh Downs, who's a guy who
- 9:48Speaker 4: can go over the top.
- 9:48Speaker 5: I think Keenan Allen's going to be a little bit
- 9:50Speaker 5: of a safety safety valve for Daniel Jones.
- 9:54Speaker 3: What were you just doing there to Josh Downs Stugotts.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Josh Downs is a serviceable wide receiver. Three.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'm not saying that he's not. It's just a hod
- 10:02Speaker 1: name to bring up when you say you lost Pittman,
- 10:04Speaker 1: but you have Josh Downs. I mean he's Josh Downs.
- 10:10Speaker 4: He's Alec Pearce.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I mean, it's a bad wide receiver room. But it
- 10:15Speaker 1: just got better. This is something Keenan Allen's a good
- 10:17Speaker 1: sign for them.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but it feels like Josh Downs could be the
- 10:20Speaker 3: receiver that works inside the numbers. Alec Pierce is that
- 10:23Speaker 3: deep threat, and then Keenan Allen's kind of the Swiss
- 10:25Speaker 3: Army Knife does a little bit of everything.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You know what I was wrong? No one is more
- 10:29Speaker 1: locked into this NFL season than you wore.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I told you that, and I could give you ten
- 10:33Speaker 3: minutes on the Yankees.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I mean he's a Colts expert.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Suddenly I'm the Swiss Army Knife.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Do you have another? One?
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yep? One more headline? Jacoby Lane from the Baltimore Ravens,
- 10:47Speaker 3: their rookie. He had three catches for thirty eight yards
- 10:50Speaker 3: and a touchdown in his preseason debut. Something or nothing.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Nothing, end of sentence, nothing, no need to expand nothing.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Why'd you go with that one? Can? I ask? I mean,
- 11:05Speaker 1: listen at your game. I appreciate that we're talking football,
- 11:08Speaker 1: but why did you choose that story for something or nothing?
- 11:11Speaker 3: I mean because Jacoby Lane was the thirteenth receiver picked
- 11:15Speaker 3: in the twenty twenty sixth draft. He went third round eightieth. Overall,
- 11:19Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson needs bodies at wide receiver. It feels like
- 11:22Speaker 3: they never have a guy they're trying to convince everybody's
- 11:24Speaker 3: eight Flowers.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Is a guy for the Ravens.
- 11:28Speaker 3: They paid him like he's the guy, but he really
- 11:30Speaker 3: doesn't match that production for being a true number one
- 11:33Speaker 3: receiver on the outside. For this Ravens team to reach
- 11:37Speaker 3: their potential this year, for Lamar Jackson to get over
- 11:39Speaker 3: the hump and make a Super Bowl and hopefully win
- 11:42Speaker 3: a Super Bowl, it feels like they need somebody else
- 11:45Speaker 3: to step up at the wide receiver position, and it
- 11:48Speaker 3: might be somebody like Jacoby Lane.
- 11:50Speaker 4: That's why he asked because of a preseason game. He's
- 11:53Speaker 4: not Najie Harris signing. Not that.
- 11:56Speaker 5: That's not what we're going to talk about, because talk
- 11:58Speaker 5: about you, what's his namebe Lane.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's an unfair amount of pressure to put on poor
- 12:02Speaker 1: Jacobe Lane that he is the key to the Ravens
- 12:06Speaker 1: getting to where they want to go.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Well, if you want to talk about unfair comparisons, Raven's
- 12:11Speaker 3: offensive coordinator Declan Doyle compared him to former Saints great
- 12:15Speaker 3: Michael Thomas. How about that?
- 12:17Speaker 1: How about that Mikey, he's more locked in than we are.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It's unbelievable.
- 12:25Speaker 5: I'm I need to go start reading more because this
- 12:29Speaker 5: is this.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Is like my thing.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I mean, we had no idea when we started the
- 12:32Speaker 1: show today who the thirteenth wide receiver was selected in
- 12:36Speaker 1: last year Trivia Taylor knows why Locked In ATFL.

- 13:16Speaker 1: Hawkmin Mikey, A, you and I have been doing this
- 13:18Speaker 1: for a long long time and what I love, one
- 13:20Speaker 1: of the things I love most about doing this is
- 13:23Speaker 1: you wake up. We talked to so many people. We'll
- 13:26Speaker 1: have you know, Mike Norval, We'll have Ryan Day on tomorrow.
- 13:29Speaker 1: We talked to Jessica Smetana today. Ad Nan RK's coming up.
- 13:32Speaker 1: You just never know what you know is going to
- 13:36Speaker 1: draw a reaction, what's going to get people fired up.
- 13:38Speaker 1: And I have been fishing around for Iowa Sam's wheelhouse
- 13:42Speaker 1: for nine months now, and we found it. And where
- 13:45Speaker 1: did we find out it? Yes, we found it with
- 13:48Speaker 1: the Chris Simms delivery guys story. The delivery guy who
- 13:53Speaker 1: brings food to Chris Simms's house won't get out of
- 13:55Speaker 1: the car and bring food to his front door because
- 13:57Speaker 1: Sims always has the dog running around the yard. And
- 14:00Speaker 1: so Iowa Sam has not stopped texting us about what's
- 14:04Speaker 1: going on in that situation. And I am I'm puzzled,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but I'm also thrilled that we have arrived and found
- 14:10Speaker 1: his wheelhouse. Mike, I've been fishing for it for nine months.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 5: We've done a lot of really good content on the show,
- 14:17Speaker 5: or mediocre content, however you want to look at it.
- 14:19Speaker 5: And Iowa Sam has never engaged with us this much,
- 14:23Speaker 5: but we got text after text after text during that
- 14:27Speaker 5: interview where he just had all the takes.
- 14:31Speaker 4: On the dog and Sims's dog running around the house.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yes, we will get to his takes at just a second.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I believe there's a top five list as well. Eight
- 14:38Speaker 1: seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Here's the question, here's
- 14:40Speaker 1: the story. Taylor told that he was listening to Simms's podcast,
- 14:44Speaker 1: Chris Simms when he gets food delivered to his house
- 14:48Speaker 1: the delivery guy. It was a dog running around his
- 14:50Speaker 1: front yard, and so it's a loose dog, a stray dog.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It's his dog. But the delivery guy will knocket out
- 14:56Speaker 1: of his car and bring the food to his front door.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's a simple question. Should she should she like? Is
- 15:04Speaker 1: it part of the job? Is it part of the
- 15:06Speaker 1: job the unknown part of the job. Or is the
- 15:10Speaker 1: obligation on Chris Simms to come out to the car
- 15:13Speaker 1: and get his own food that he wanted delivered right
- 15:15Speaker 1: to his front door? That is the question.
- 15:17Speaker 3: So I phrased that on social media too. Is it
- 15:19Speaker 3: part of the job as a delivery driver to be
- 15:21Speaker 3: comfortable around dogs? People are weighing in and people will
- 15:25Speaker 3: probably call in. We have a couple of people who
- 15:29Speaker 3: drive for FedEx or ups. Ted Green on Twitter says,
- 15:32Speaker 3: I drive for FedEx. If your dog is out and
- 15:35Speaker 3: he's a bleep, you're not getting a package today. And
- 15:38Speaker 3: then Jackie Boy Underscore nineteen eighty six chimes in with
- 15:44Speaker 3: we don't have to be We're told if we're uncomfortable
- 15:46Speaker 3: around a dog, we don't have to get out of
- 15:49Speaker 3: the truck.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Okay, Iowa, Sam, what are your thoughts on this? Share
- 15:53Speaker 1: him with the audience please.
- 15:54Speaker 6: So yeah, this conversation got me very riled up. I
- 15:57Speaker 6: was texting you guys about it. I'm on team deliver here,
- 16:00Speaker 6: and I'm a dog person. I love dogs. But when
- 16:02Speaker 6: they when they are off leash and you don't know
- 16:05Speaker 6: the dog's temperament and they come running up to you,
- 16:08Speaker 6: you are there's a little your brace a little bit
- 16:10Speaker 6: for because you don't know if that dogs didn't come
- 16:11Speaker 6: up and give you a little kiss, a little lick
- 16:13Speaker 6: on the on the knee or something, or if it's
- 16:15Speaker 6: gonna you know, bite you in the plums. You don't know,
- 16:17Speaker 6: So you know I came up. Yeah, So like, I'm
- 16:20Speaker 6: on team delivery driver here. If your dog's inside, that's fine,
- 16:23Speaker 6: But this guy, I think, well, by the way, what
- 16:26Speaker 6: kind of dog was it that uh did we ever
- 16:28Speaker 6: find out what kind of dog Chris Sims has.
- 16:30Speaker 3: That's certain, So I'm not an expert on dog breeds.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I would I would guess Sam that the dog weighed
- 16:36Speaker 3: about twenty twenty five is pounds.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Yeah, see if it's a Corgie or a Chihuahua, or
- 16:41Speaker 6: am like a small medium dog. I'm not too worried
- 16:43Speaker 6: that dog's gonna bite me on the ankle and I'll
- 16:45Speaker 6: probably survive it, or might probably won't bite me at all.
- 16:47Speaker 6: But I'm sure Chris Sims has a nice dog, but
- 16:49Speaker 6: bigger dogs. I came up with the list here of
- 16:51Speaker 6: dogs I would stay in the car for if you'd
- 16:53Speaker 6: like to.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Hear so the top you have top five dogs that
- 16:55Speaker 1: would keep you in the costs. Is that what you're saying? Okay,
- 16:57Speaker 1: we'll get to that in a second. Go ahead, mikey.
- 17:00Speaker 5: See, i'm team delivery driver too. If you're not comfortable,
- 17:03Speaker 5: you don't have to get out. I totally agree with that,
- 17:06Speaker 5: but I am judging you based on what kind of
- 17:09Speaker 5: dog you won't get out of the car for.
- 17:11Speaker 4: If there is a chiuala and you're like, I didn't
- 17:13Speaker 4: feel comfortable, I'm not getting out of the car. Well,
- 17:15Speaker 4: then I'm judging you.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I mean, a dog is a man's best friend. I
- 17:19Speaker 1: feel like even the bigger dogs, you know, the dogs
- 17:21Speaker 1: you're fearful of, you could turn them pretty quickly. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: mean they're dogs. It feels like it's an enemy, but
- 17:29Speaker 1: very quickly you could be your best friend. That's what
- 17:30Speaker 1: dogs do, you know.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Sure, and some of these bigger breeds could run up
- 17:35Speaker 6: to you and be the sweetest dog you've ever met,
- 17:36Speaker 6: but you don't know. And they're so big they could
- 17:38Speaker 6: just rip you to pieces if they're off. Most dogs
- 17:40Speaker 6: are very very sweet once you get to know them.
- 17:42Speaker 6: I'm telling you that it easily turned.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I mean there are.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Some dogs too that if you got out of the car,
- 17:46Speaker 3: you'd be looking at them eye level.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not certain what the German shepherds, the big
- 17:52Speaker 1: ones you're saying most of them. I mean, all right,
- 17:56Speaker 1: let's get to Iowa Sam's top five dogs that he
- 18:00Speaker 1: that would keep him in the car if he was
- 18:02Speaker 1: delivering food to someone's house. Go ahead, I was it,
- 18:04Speaker 1: all right?
- 18:04Speaker 6: I got a I got two on the oli list here,
- 18:07Speaker 6: I got the boxer, and I got any breed of mastiffs.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yes, I'm looking up to a boxer.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Yeah, boxers are very athletic dogs, very muscular. They're a
- 18:18Speaker 6: little smaller than some of the other dogs on this list,
- 18:20Speaker 6: but they are very intimidating looking. And a mastiff you
- 18:24Speaker 6: just you know, emphasis on the word mass they're massive mastiff.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So that's gonna freak me out. All right, here we go.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Let's go number five here, and.
- 18:32Speaker 1: They're no, no, of course, it's what no, there is
- 18:35Speaker 1: there is Okay, five, four, three two one, that's what
- 18:37Speaker 1: it's up.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Okay, we'll go all right.
- 18:38Speaker 6: We'll start with number five, kne corso they are frightening looking,
- 18:43Speaker 6: all right, all right, here we go. Number four a
- 18:46Speaker 6: German shepherd, the police dog. Okay, number three Doberman pincher,
- 18:54Speaker 6: your classic junkyard dog. Number two a Rottweiler, and number
- 19:00Speaker 6: one the infamous but usually sweet pit bull.
- 19:07Speaker 3: And that's my list.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Man. I am so torn on this on what the
- 19:10Speaker 1: delivery guy is supposed to do, I really am, because
- 19:12Speaker 1: it's your job to get the food to the front door.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I understand that Chris Simms is being a bleephole by
- 19:18Speaker 1: letting his dog run loose, but it is your job
- 19:21Speaker 1: to get the food to that person's front door.
- 19:24Speaker 3: So this conversation also got me thinking the biggest disparity
- 19:27Speaker 3: between a dog breed's popularity and how many people actually
- 19:30Speaker 3: own one. The Dalmatian. I used to have one, sneaky
- 19:37Speaker 3: aggressive dog breed.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Aren't they really put it on the pearl They're actually
- 19:42Speaker 1: is a Dalmatian, a sneaky aggressive dog breed.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Fireman's dog.
- 19:47Speaker 1: They got to save people.
- 19:48Speaker 3: You know, Dalmatians really really peaked around one hundred and
- 19:53Speaker 3: one Dalmatians. Yeah, and then they've been trailing off ever since.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Right, we'll take some phone calls. Next eight seven, seven
- 20:00Speaker 1: ninety nine of Box Bad Dog ad Dan Burker to
- 20:02Speaker 1: join us at about fifteen minutes. Taylor is obsessed with
- 20:06Speaker 1: the Yankees and Aaron Boone and where he's spending his
- 20:08Speaker 1: off day. What is what is happening with you and
- 20:12Speaker 1: Aaron Boone? What is Aaron Boone doing? Taylor?
- 20:14Speaker 3: So Aaron Boone spent the off day in Chapel Hill.
- 20:17Speaker 3: He's a big North Carolina fan because his son, I believe,
- 20:21Speaker 3: is a manager on the football team. So any chance
- 20:24Speaker 3: Aaron Boone can get to go to Chapel Hill, he
- 20:26Speaker 3: normally takes it. And the UNC football team posted a
- 20:30Speaker 3: picture of Aaron Boone and Bill Belichick together at the facility,
- 20:35Speaker 3: and their caption was great to have Yankees manager Aaron
- 20:37Speaker 3: Boone stop by today. I want to preface this. I
- 20:40Speaker 3: like Aaron Boone. You guys know that Aaron Boone is
- 20:42Speaker 3: my guy. Yeah, But if I saw a pitcher and
- 20:45Speaker 3: he wasn't my guy, and I saw a picture of
- 20:47Speaker 3: him and Bill Belichick, I'd probably say something like, two
- 20:49Speaker 3: guys who have no idea how to score for at
- 20:51Speaker 3: least seventy five percent games?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Can a guy be your guy? If you've tried to
- 20:56Speaker 1: fire him? On National Radio sixteen domes put it on
- 20:59Speaker 1: a bowl.
- 20:59Speaker 3: And again my guy. And I would never say this,
- 21:02Speaker 3: but some people would say it's two guys who are
- 21:05Speaker 3: lost without their MVP that carried them. Tom Brady, Aaron Judge.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Right, are you doing stand up right now? On Bellacheck
- 21:12Speaker 1: and Aaron Boone.
- 21:14Speaker 3: No, Aaron Bruon's my guy. I would never say that.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Now we know we know, get him on the show.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Thank you. Iowa was sim Mikey. Bill Rasmussen passed away.
- 21:22Speaker 1: He's the co founder of ESPN. I was fortunate enough,
- 21:26Speaker 1: as were you, to work there for many many years,
- 21:29Speaker 1: had a chance to meet Bill, talk to Bill. He's
- 21:32Speaker 1: a pioneer, He's a trailblazing pioneer. He started, he co
- 21:36Speaker 1: founded ESPN, and so naturally anyone who has worked for him,
- 21:42Speaker 1: who's gotten to know him. The tributes were pouring in.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I'm not certain if you have heard this, if you're
- 21:47Speaker 1: aware of this, are you aware of what happened here
- 21:50Speaker 1: on First Take today? They were eulogizing Bill Rasmussen.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I did hear this, and I could think only
- 22:00Speaker 5: of your former show and a certain person on Tuesdays
- 22:04Speaker 5: who used to be walked into a heart out.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yes, even while the host was wearing a clock on
- 22:09Speaker 1: his head, Yes, a hard network out. So here is
- 22:15Speaker 1: the tribute. I tell you. Want to set this up.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Who was doing First Take today? Because it's August and
- 22:19Speaker 1: Steven A. Smith ain't doing it, So.
- 22:21Speaker 3: That's a great question. It definitely was not Steven A. Smith.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I don't have the answer to who was hosting today, right,
- 22:26Speaker 3: but this was the show as it was wrapping up
- 22:29Speaker 3: into the lead of the next show coming up, and
- 22:33Speaker 3: they're very clearly up against a hard out time.
- 22:37Speaker 1: All right, So just keep in mind the person they're
- 22:40Speaker 1: eulogizing is the co founder of ESPN. He's a legend.
- 22:44Speaker 3: You'd want to spend some time and really, yes, give
- 22:47Speaker 3: him his flowers.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yes, he's deserving of it. I'll play the set.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Cup early to try to catch it on the news.
- 22:53Speaker 7: So now we got sports all day every day.
- 22:56Speaker 2: His legacy lives on Hello, beautiful thing.
- 23:00Speaker 4: And welcome to our.
- 23:03Speaker 1: It's tuck about on this big Paul Tuesday, exactly what
- 23:09Speaker 1: he envisioned. That's so bad. I feel terrible for everyone involved.
- 23:20Speaker 5: It's just such a hard intro to like come in
- 23:24Speaker 5: right at that moment.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yes, that's not a topic you tackle with a hard
- 23:28Speaker 1: network out. I mean you gotta spread out and take
- 23:31Speaker 1: some time and honor Bill Rasmussen in a way that's
- 23:34Speaker 1: better than for take did today.
- 23:36Speaker 3: That's terrible, And I love Pat McAfee. I want to
- 23:41Speaker 3: get that out there on the front fan A huge
- 23:43Speaker 3: fan of Pat.
- 23:44Speaker 1: We love that.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Yes, it's it's not Pat McAfee's fault that he's all
- 23:48Speaker 3: over the place and he's dominating the sports media landscape
- 23:52Speaker 3: right now. But there is something symbolic about this sound
- 23:55Speaker 3: where it's ESPN, it's ESPN, it's ESPN Boom it's Pat
- 23:59Speaker 3: McAfee right.
- 24:00Speaker 1: In your face. We don't have time for tributes because
- 24:04Speaker 1: we have to get to a former bunter that's amazing.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Play it again, please up early to try to catch
- 24:13Speaker 7: it on the news. So now we got sports all
- 24:16Speaker 7: day every day.
- 24:17Speaker 3: His legacy lives on.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Hello something and welcome to our humble.
- 24:23Speaker 7: Stuck it on this lining Paul Tuesday twice.
- 24:29Speaker 1: It's just so harsh, so hard. Well, that's why it's
- 24:36Speaker 1: a hard network out. I mean, and you.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Know there's an Iowa sam in somebody's ear going three.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Two please rap, yes, and I think it was Courtney
- 24:46Speaker 1: Cronin and poor courtneyche I mean, she had three seconds
- 24:48Speaker 1: and try to say what you wanted to say, which
- 24:50Speaker 1: is why you don't do it up against the hard
- 24:53Speaker 1: network out. You spread out, you take your time, you're
- 24:55Speaker 1: on to the man. They didn't do that. They did
- 24:57Speaker 1: this play it again because.
- 25:00Speaker 7: Up early to try to catch it on the news.
- 25:02Speaker 7: So now we got sports all day every day.
- 25:05Speaker 3: His legacy lives on Hello.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And Welcome to.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Our stuck it up on his big ball Tuesday.
- 25:17Speaker 3: So I actually don't even think this is Courtney Cronin's
- 25:20Speaker 3: fault there because you're looking at the you're looking at
- 25:23Speaker 3: the panel. It was Devin mccordy, Evan Cohen, Chris Canty,
- 25:27Speaker 3: nice the I this is only audio for us right now.
- 25:33Speaker 3: The person who is at fault here, it's whoever tosses
- 25:36Speaker 3: it to Courtney Cronin, because he basically tosses her a
- 25:39Speaker 3: hot potato with one second left to try to fill time.
- 25:43Speaker 3: That person. This is like the situation Mikey said with
- 25:47Speaker 3: Greg Cody, where it's like I'm gonna lead Greg Cody
- 25:49Speaker 3: as close as I can to the hard network out
- 25:52Speaker 3: and then with one second left whatever he tries to get.
- 25:56Speaker 3: The person who hands the ball off to Courtney Cronin
- 25:58Speaker 3: hands her the ball off with like two seconds.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I believe that person was Chris Canny. I do. I
- 26:03Speaker 1: believe that might be Devin mccordy, though too, it might
- 26:06Speaker 1: be it wasn't Evan Cohen. He would know better the.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Chance to tip it in, You know what I mean?
- 26:12Speaker 4: You gotta give him a chance.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Yes, like she needs at least like fourteen second fifteen
- 26:17Speaker 1: seconds to wrap it up, to put a bow on
- 26:18Speaker 1: it right or else her.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Thoughts would have just been a great person. McAfee show next.
- 26:23Speaker 1: All right, so let's break this down. We're gonna play
- 26:25Speaker 1: it one more time. Let's listen to the person who
- 26:28Speaker 1: is throwing it back to Courtney Cronin, who is hosting
- 26:31Speaker 1: today's first take, Play it one more, done.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Up early to try to catch it on the news.
- 26:36Speaker 7: So now we got sports all day every day.
- 26:39Speaker 3: His legacy lives on.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Hello wife Stucker dumb on this Big Paul Tuesday, it
- 26:51Speaker 1: was Canty, Mikey. I know it's coming, and it still
- 26:56Speaker 1: scares me every time we play it. Every time, it's
- 27:00Speaker 1: just so harsh. Yes, it's unbelievable. Ad Nan Urk is
- 27:04Speaker 1: going to join us. He's on a quest to meet
- 27:05Speaker 1: Roger Feederer. It is so weird. Taylor, what are you
- 27:10Speaker 1: more excited for? Of all the things that are kind
- 27:13Speaker 1: of on the sports menu right now? Baseball postseason? Because
- 27:18Speaker 1: me and Mikey a Are really locked into football right now.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I feel like you're a little bit behind because you're
- 27:23Speaker 1: obsessed with baseball. You're focused on North Carolina, You're focused
- 27:26Speaker 1: on where Avon Boon is spending an off day. You
- 27:30Speaker 1: are so upset that Bill Belichick is the head coach
- 27:34Speaker 1: of your North Carolina tar Hill football team. But what
- 27:37Speaker 1: are you most excited for, Because this is the best
- 27:39Speaker 1: time for me on the sports calendar US Open. You
- 27:43Speaker 1: have that in tennis. I love tennis, ad Nan loves tennis.
- 27:46Speaker 1: We'll talk tennis with ad Dan and some baseball coming
- 27:49Speaker 1: up here in a minute. But you have baseball postseason,
- 27:51Speaker 1: you have the NFL, and you have college football. And
- 27:54Speaker 1: for me, this is just for me. The second that
- 27:57Speaker 1: college football and the NFL starts, all the other stuff
- 28:00Speaker 1: just goes away. That's it. Whatever interest I had in baseball,
- 28:04Speaker 1: it goes away until we get to the World Series.
- 28:07Speaker 1: So what do you winto here, Like, what are you
- 28:08Speaker 1: most excited about during the best time on the sports calendar?
- 28:12Speaker 3: Taking my fandom out of it, because with my fandom
- 28:16Speaker 3: in it, it's gonna be Yankees baseball and riding or
- 28:19Speaker 3: dying with this Yankee team going through the postseason. But
- 28:22Speaker 3: once you separate that part of it, it's college football.
- 28:26Speaker 3: College football to me is the gold standard. You look
- 28:29Speaker 3: forward to every Saturday, from the big noon kickoff start
- 28:33Speaker 3: of it all the way through the Hawaii games at
- 28:36Speaker 3: that are ending at like two thirty in the morning.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I'm watching every snap, I'm googling at eleven thirty. How
- 28:42Speaker 3: do I get this Hawaii game on my TV? So
- 28:45Speaker 3: for me, it's college football the NFL. I'm gonna watch
- 28:48Speaker 3: it because it's a Sunday and it's the NFL is
- 28:52Speaker 3: still king. But in terms for me, college football is
- 28:55Speaker 3: my gold standard.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I think the first Sunday of the NFL season is
- 28:59Speaker 1: certainly a top five sports day because you not only
- 29:01Speaker 1: get the NFL and it's the first week and you're
- 29:03Speaker 1: glued to it because you're gambling and you know you
- 29:06Speaker 1: have fantasy teams, and it's the NFL it started. But
- 29:09Speaker 1: after the one o'clock games, at four fifteen roughly you
- 29:11Speaker 1: get the US Open Men's Final. It is delightful. It
- 29:14Speaker 1: is such a great day. I can't wait for it.
- 29:17Speaker 1: But that's interesting that you're more into college football and
- 29:20Speaker 1: you're not alone, by the way, it's our second most
- 29:22Speaker 1: popular sport, but you are more interested and more excited
- 29:25Speaker 1: about college football than you are the NFL. That's interesting
- 29:28Speaker 1: to me.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I grew up watching more college football and just
- 29:33Speaker 3: like the pageantry that comes with college football. And I
- 29:36Speaker 3: also think that it's a day of the week thing
- 29:38Speaker 3: where Saturday college football you still have NFL Sunday to
- 29:43Speaker 3: look forward to, right NFL Sunday, Around that four o'clock window.
- 29:47Speaker 1: There's a sadness. Yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I start getting sad and I'm like, hen, this
- 29:52Speaker 3: work week's coming and we only have one football game tomorrow.
- 29:55Speaker 1: For me, the sadness sets in when I see that
- 29:57Speaker 1: sixty minutes clock. Yeah, it just drives me crazy. Oh yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Is there any worse feeling though, than when you've got
- 30:03Speaker 5: like a four o'clock game that you were excited about,
- 30:07Speaker 5: but then like the quarterbacks out, Now you've just got
- 30:09Speaker 5: a bunch.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Of just duds football, a lot of eight and O'Connell.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Oh no, does eighty and O'Connell live in the four
- 30:17Speaker 1: o'clock spot? Is that where he lives? Yeah? His address
- 30:22Speaker 1: is four pm. He's turned on Sundays.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like an eight and O'Connell versus Cooper Rush
- 30:27Speaker 3: matchup coming up.
- 30:28Speaker 1: There is such a difference between the four o'clock games
- 30:31Speaker 1: and the four twenty games. Four twenty games are like
- 30:34Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. Four o'clock games are games you would
- 30:36Speaker 1: never watch, you.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Know, watch unless you get a really bad injury in
- 30:41Speaker 5: that four to twenty game, and it's like, oh no,
- 30:43Speaker 5: they all stink.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but you'll still watch it, of course.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah. I mean we're like, we're like pigs in mud.
- 30:49Speaker 3: We're gonna we're gonna scoop everything up and watch you
- 30:52Speaker 3: put you put a Mac football game right now on
- 30:54Speaker 3: my TV. I'll watch all four quarters.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Yeah. College football, man, what an amazing things our second
- 31:01Speaker 1: most popular sport to actual professional football.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 31:08Speaker 2: Live week dacent three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.

- 31:31Speaker 1: love having him around. Mikey, have you ever loved an
- 31:35Speaker 1: athlete the way Adnan Virk loves Roger Federer crazy.
- 31:39Speaker 4: I'm going to say this.
- 31:41Speaker 5: I'm going to say this, and I'm ashamed as i'm
- 31:43Speaker 5: going to say it, but this is a safe space,
- 31:44Speaker 5: so I'm going to say I'm not sure I love
- 31:46Speaker 5: my kids as much as he was Roger Feedder, and
- 31:49Speaker 5: I love my kids. I don't do anything for my kids,
- 31:52Speaker 5: but I'm not sure I love them as much as
- 31:54Speaker 5: he loves Roger Feader.
- 31:55Speaker 1: But you could say with one hundred percent certainty that
- 31:57Speaker 1: ad Nan definitely loves Federer more than all of his kids, right.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Oh, easily, easily because.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You're not certain. But I'm certain on him, you know.
- 32:06Speaker 5: Yeah, No, I'm certain on him that he would give
- 32:09Speaker 5: up his kids for a half hour lesson with Roger Federer.
- 32:13Speaker 1: So dinner, I'm guessing Taylor has had an athlete. It's
- 32:16Speaker 1: brunts in right, it has to be Broa. He changes life, right, Brunson.
- 32:20Speaker 3: So I do love Jalen Brunson from that perspective, but
- 32:24Speaker 3: we're too close in age to say like, oh, I
- 32:27Speaker 3: love Jalen Brunson like that. Like growing up for me
- 32:30Speaker 3: it was Derek Cheater, Like I had the Derek Cheater posters.
- 32:33Speaker 3: You grew up wanting to be Derek Cheater. I've actually
- 32:36Speaker 3: had people who have ends with the Yankees say like,
- 32:40Speaker 3: maybe I could help facilitate something, and part of me
- 32:43Speaker 3: would I would obviously love that opportunity, but part of
- 32:47Speaker 3: me too is thinking, if I meet Derek Cheter, I
- 32:49Speaker 3: really wouldn't have that much of a game plan besides
- 32:51Speaker 3: just saying like I grew up a big fan, and
- 32:54Speaker 3: then like, what do I really get out.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Of that opportunity, Hey, captain, Yeah, I'll just mess it.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Up if anything.
- 33:00Speaker 5: Part of me wants to tell ad Man to avoid
- 33:03Speaker 5: actually meeting Federer because it can only be a disappointment
- 33:06Speaker 5: to him.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Right, Yes, there's nothing that can happen.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yes, when he meets Roger Federer, that will live up
- 33:12Speaker 5: to whatever is in his head.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Whatever the expectation he has going into it. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Just I wanted it. But how do you burst that bubble?
- 33:21Speaker 5: He was so happy thinking about the chance that he
- 33:23Speaker 5: might meet Federer right that I didn't want to just
- 33:25Speaker 5: say maybe maybe don't maybe just be from Afar.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yes, he's happy just to be you know, close to Federer.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I mean that makes him It's weird, but I love it.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I have an athlete, yes, Mark Sanchez, Yes Sanchez. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: mean listen, when you're a jet fed and you've been
- 33:44Speaker 1: so bad for so long and in strolls a quarterback
- 33:47Speaker 1: from USC doesn't do much, but he gets you to
- 33:50Speaker 1: back to back AFC Championship games. You'll take You'll fall
- 33:53Speaker 1: in love with that guy. And I fell in love
- 33:55Speaker 1: with Mark Sanchez right up until the butt fumble they did.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I loved him. He's the best quarterback I've ever had.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Shocking what Sanchez? The old Yes, that's.
- 34:08Speaker 5: The old cracker in the desert thing where you're just
- 34:10Speaker 5: sitting there and you're starving, so you eat one cracker and.
- 34:12Speaker 4: You think it's the best thing you've ever eaten.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, that's that's not the same. It's all I got.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That's it, Taylor was telling us, And he's been trying
- 34:22Speaker 1: to get this off the ground for a couple of days.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Something with a video game. I haven't played video games
- 34:27Speaker 1: since I don't know, nineteen ninety four Clark University EA
- 34:30Speaker 1: sports hockey. Every time I scored a goal, the other
- 34:33Speaker 1: guy would have to do a shot. Every time he
- 34:35Speaker 1: scored a goal, I would have to do a shot.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Those were good times. I haven't thought about video games since.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I haven't played a video game since. What is happening here, Taylor.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Well, Sue, it's perfect that you mentioned the nostalgia that
- 34:44Speaker 3: comes with video games, because one person on social media,
- 34:48Speaker 3: Jay Lucarelli, he has the game MVP Baseball two thousand
- 34:53Speaker 3: and five.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Wow, And his goal this.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Past week has been he wants to throw a perfect
- 34:59Speaker 3: game on live stream in MVP Baseball two thousand and
- 35:03Speaker 3: five with roy Oswalt against the Boston Red Sox on
- 35:06Speaker 3: the hardest difficulty. So he started this a week ago.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Seven days later, Yeah, and one thousand, nine hundred and
- 35:16Speaker 3: ninety three attempts later, he did it. Wow, perfect game,
- 35:21Speaker 3: a comeback of the roy Olds Walt fields it. Perfect
- 35:24Speaker 3: game secured. Congratulations to Jet.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Wait, so how many times did he have to do
- 35:30Speaker 1: this before he got it right?
- 35:31Speaker 3: Nineteen hundred and ninety three. It's too You're watching this
- 35:35Speaker 3: guy streams, say he's he did it against the Red Sox.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Every time say Mark Bellhorn's leading off, Mark Bellhorn gets
- 35:43Speaker 3: a hit. Before that ball even touches the ground, Jay
- 35:47Speaker 3: knew it was a hit. He was already back in
- 35:49Speaker 3: the lobby, back at the main menus, reloading the game
- 35:52Speaker 3: to go again.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Wait, so I'm confused here because I'm old and I
- 35:57Speaker 1: haven't played video games since the mid nineties. People are
- 36:00Speaker 1: watching other people play video games.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean it's a it's a massive business.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Now Twitch YouTube What.
- 36:10Speaker 5: My kids would rather watch others play video games than
- 36:13Speaker 5: play the video games themselves.
- 36:16Speaker 1: That's absurd.
- 36:17Speaker 3: That is that is a popular I agree, Yeah, I agree.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Why because people are better at it? Like what's the allard?
- 36:24Speaker 1: Like what I don't get it? I mean, play a game.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I think you're a get well, stop watching others do things,
- 36:30Speaker 1: do things, do something yourself of that part.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Of it is sometimes yes, the streamers are very good
- 36:36Speaker 3: at the games, but also part of it too. It
- 36:39Speaker 3: just feels like a community where you could go in
- 36:41Speaker 3: talk to talk to somebody.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I got it.
- 36:43Speaker 3: He's interacting with the chat you.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Know, brun.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Yes, it feels like you're part of it.
- 36:47Speaker 1: So what do you do? So you're watching him stream
- 36:49Speaker 1: He's just he's entering a lineup that has roy Oswalt
- 36:52Speaker 1: on it, and he's trying to get a perfect game,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and you're watching it a thousand times. Yeah blame.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I mean, so you're just watching it. You're just watching
- 37:01Speaker 3: him over and over and then like as the game's
- 37:03Speaker 3: going on, like the sixth inning, it starts to get real.
- 37:06Speaker 3: The seventh inning, it's really real. The eighth innings, he's
- 37:09Speaker 3: like verbalizing, I need a quick time out right now
- 37:12Speaker 3: so I can wipe my hands because of how sweaty
- 37:14Speaker 3: it is.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Does he make sure that no one's talking to Oswalt
- 37:16Speaker 1: when he goes back to the dugout? I mean you can't.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 37:22Speaker 5: I want to watch a live stream of what happens
- 37:24Speaker 5: after nineteen hundred and ninety three attempts at something that
- 37:27Speaker 5: you've been trying for seven days and then it happens,
- 37:30Speaker 5: and then what do you do with your life?
- 37:32Speaker 4: Like what is the next hour of his life?
- 37:34Speaker 5: Like, I guess I'll go make a mac and cheese,
- 37:36Speaker 5: Like what what do you do after you've tried so
- 37:39Speaker 5: hard to do something and then you finally get it done?
- 37:42Speaker 1: And why Oswalt?
- 37:43Speaker 3: I mean why that is a good question, Like roy
- 37:45Speaker 3: Oswalt's involved me, that's his federer. Yeah, it's probably to
- 37:49Speaker 3: be honest, roy Oswald has to come out today because
- 37:52Speaker 3: nobody has really been talking roy Oswalt in the year
- 37:55Speaker 3: twenty twenty six.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Why would they?
- 37:58Speaker 3: Well, now people are talking Royal because of this guy.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Jay.
- 38:01Speaker 3: My favorite part of the Streamstu is this was the
- 38:06Speaker 3: time when pitchers were batting, So he has he has
- 38:10Speaker 3: the moves memorized, like if if say it's Pedro Martinez,
- 38:14Speaker 3: Roy oswalt in this matchup, he has the moves memorized,
- 38:17Speaker 3: where in the sixth inning, if it's a close game,
- 38:19Speaker 3: he's like, oh, here comes Doug Mirabelly and then like
- 38:23Speaker 3: the next second on the screen it will be like
- 38:25Speaker 3: Doug Mirabelly pinch hits for Pedro Martinez.
- 38:29Speaker 1: So good. My favorite part of the stream is not
- 38:31Speaker 1: watching it.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Ohs Waltz.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Has he ever pitched a perfect game?
- 38:39Speaker 3: No, certainly not.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I don't think I think this should count right right
- 38:44Speaker 1: in his in his personal record book, roy oswalt should
- 38:48Speaker 1: count twenty seven up, twenty seven down.
