- 1:31Speaker 1: listen to our podcast because I'm so vain and I
- 1:33Speaker 1: think we're so great, and I'm out and about. Maybe
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm doing a walk or something like that.
- 1:37Speaker 2: She's athletic and I am, and.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm listening to her. But there's so many ads at

- 2:08Speaker 1: make it to five thousand.
- 2:11Speaker 2: We're at four point four something now, oh.
- 2:13Speaker 1: My god, angel numbers. I know all we need to
- 2:15Speaker 1: do is get to five thousand. I'll feel Better'd be
- 2:18Speaker 1: so great about my life. We do so please, thank you,
- 2:21Speaker 1: We really appreciate it. Thank you. Okay, now before we
- 2:24Speaker 1: get into the episode. Also, there's just like a couple
- 2:27Speaker 1: of news worthy items. In fact, they don't relate directly
- 2:31Speaker 1: to Sister Wives, but these cover shows that we have
- 2:35Speaker 1: recapped before. And so we just kind of want to
- 2:38Speaker 1: go over these items. If you want to skip ahead,
- 2:40Speaker 1: if you're on YouTube, I'll try and drop a little
- 2:43Speaker 1: time stamp so you can go right to the recap.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And if you're listening on the podcast, I don't know
- 2:48Speaker 1: what to do. I don't know how to do it.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I'm booming out.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Just skip it, just skip it, and we just figured
- 2:53Speaker 2: it out.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, fast forward, fast forward, but or listen to it
- 2:56Speaker 1: because this is great information.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's juicy, and I want to talk about it.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, starting with James Kennedy, bitch. I know from vander
- 3:05Speaker 1: Pump Rules. We did cover vander Pump Rules last year.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I imagine every single season. I have never liked Kennedy.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I observed with my own raccoon eyes how he treated Kristin,
- 3:21Speaker 1: spit on Kristen. I remember the fight at the wedding
- 3:24Speaker 1: where we saw Kristin hit him, but apparently and allegedly,
- 3:29Speaker 1: James hit her first and production cut it, so we
- 3:33Speaker 1: only ever see Kristin hitting him.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Kristin has definitely eluded in the press that it was
- 3:39Speaker 1: an abusive relationship, and of course Raquel Rachel. Rachel has eluded.
- 3:46Speaker 1: She's been very careful, but she has alluded to the
- 3:49Speaker 1: fact that her relationship with James was physically abusive. And
- 3:54Speaker 1: then last week, honey.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Girl, this fucker got arrested for domestic violence or whatever.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I guess him and an unnamed woman were in an altercation,
- 4:07Speaker 2: but there was no injuries or anything reported on TMZ.
- 4:11Speaker 2: A neighbor called nine one one, and it was bad
- 4:13Speaker 2: enough that charges were pressed or whatever, and then he
- 4:16Speaker 2: was released on bail I think for like twenty g's
- 4:18Speaker 2: or something like that.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And Ali came out very quickly and said nothing happened
- 4:23Speaker 1: and misunderstanding and total misunderstanding.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But then the police report got released and it said
- 4:30Speaker 2: that a man, like what was.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It through a woman picked her up and then threw
- 4:35Speaker 1: her down her down on the ground. And this was
- 4:38Speaker 1: reported by somebody who observed it. Yeah, So the way
- 4:40Speaker 1: that it's being reported and the way that it reads
- 4:44Speaker 1: is like there's a third party that saw it. But
- 4:46Speaker 1: I think other people are saying that it was Ali
- 4:48Speaker 1: who actually told the police that when they arrived, So
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure, but either way, there was enough
- 4:54Speaker 1: evidence there at the scene that they arrested him and
- 4:58Speaker 1: took him in and he recently released a statement, Oh
- 5:01Speaker 1: he did very yeah. I think I said it to
- 5:03Speaker 1: you on Instagram. I remember very pr very like, yes,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I need to take some time. I really appreciate having
- 5:09Speaker 1: some privacy. It's a focus on myself and my sobriety.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But we've heard this same song and dance from James
- 5:17Speaker 1: Kennedy's season after season after season, and I remember telling
- 5:21Speaker 1: you at the top of last season, don't like him
- 5:23Speaker 1: too much, yea, because this guy's a dirt bag.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And I only ever watched season eleven when he
- 5:28Speaker 2: was like getting sober and he was with Ali, and
- 5:30Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, like he seems okay, like maybe he's
- 5:33Speaker 2: turning his life around. Maybe it's just the booze that
- 5:36Speaker 2: makes in violent. And then he goes and does this, Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, fuck you. Then yeah, like literally fuck
- 5:41Speaker 2: you in the ass because is the third woman, like
- 5:44Speaker 2: fuck you? I don't know who it was, Like people
- 5:46Speaker 2: are assuming it's Ali and like they're commenting on her
- 5:50Speaker 2: page like girl, you're not safe, get out of there
- 5:52Speaker 2: or whatever. But she's saying it's all a misunderstanding. That's
- 5:57Speaker 2: like typical for DV victims too, to kind of like
- 6:00Speaker 2: protect the abuser. So I don't know what's going on.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I don't know who say it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Takes seven attempts before somebody who's being abused actually gets
- 6:08Speaker 1: out of the relationship. Today on Instagram, I saw pictures
- 6:13Speaker 1: of James and Ali moving out. Her moving out of
- 6:16Speaker 1: the house and into an airbnb because apparently her family
- 6:21Speaker 1: has flown in or come into town, so she's going
- 6:24Speaker 1: to go stay with her family. You've got pictures of
- 6:27Speaker 1: James like moving all of her stuff out in boxes.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But there are some people who are saying this is
- 6:33Speaker 1: all just for publicity, like she's going to stay at
- 6:35Speaker 1: the airbnb for a little while, but then they're going
- 6:38Speaker 1: to be right back together because this is all fake.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Oh fake rehabilitation of his image.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yikes. Okay, well I guess we'll see what happens with that.
- 6:47Speaker 2: But yeah, suck you, James, buck you, James, fuck you forever,
- 6:50Speaker 2: and you should lose your residency in Las Vegas, which
- 6:53Speaker 2: I think he actually did.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Really, I think he actually did, although I know he
- 6:57Speaker 1: was djaying this weekend in Wisconsin. But like, I think
- 7:01Speaker 1: people are starting to drop him because like, enough is enough, yea.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And also, Lisa vander Pump your silence is deafening. You
- 7:09Speaker 1: spent I don't know how many seasons advocating for James,
- 7:12Speaker 1: getting him help, giving him chance after chance after chance.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Where are you right? Why aren't you talking about this?
- 7:19Speaker 1: You should be saying something.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Well, there were a lot of comments on Instagram that
- 7:22Speaker 2: I was reading of people being like, we were rooting
- 7:24Speaker 2: for you, James, like we thought you like actually turned
- 7:27Speaker 2: your life around, like you make us all look bad,
- 7:29Speaker 2: Like fuck you like your piece of shit, And that's
- 7:31Speaker 2: kind of where I'm at. I'm like, oh, I only
- 7:32Speaker 2: had season eleven frame of reference, you know. And I
- 7:36Speaker 2: said that a million times when we were doing our recaps,
- 7:38Speaker 2: like don't fucking take my shit for like anything. But
- 7:42Speaker 2: now I'm like, oh, that's disappointing. Yeah, I thought you
- 7:45Speaker 2: weren't going to be a piece of shit. Now you're
- 7:47Speaker 2: doing this.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yep, fuck you. He's a bad person. In other vander
- 7:52Speaker 1: Pump news, apparently Tom Sandoval, we all can agree, as
- 7:57Speaker 1: an absolute trash bag of the human being, has been
- 8:00Speaker 1: dating this chick name Victoria, who is to me, just
- 8:03Speaker 1: based on my intuition, andsire, a whole incomplete cloud goblin. Yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 1: she's only with Tom Sandibal because she was hoping she
- 8:11Speaker 1: could be on the most recent or the most the
- 8:15Speaker 1: coming up. What am I saying?
- 8:17Speaker 2: The newest season?
- 8:18Speaker 1: Thank you please take kija uh so she can be
- 8:25Speaker 1: on the newest season of vander Pump Rules. And then
- 8:29Speaker 1: psych the season gets pulled, the series gets pulled, They're
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna revamp the entire thing. So apparently she made some
- 8:36Speaker 1: posts on Instagram alluding to the fact that everybody was
- 8:40Speaker 1: right about Tom and he's a fucking cheater. And then
- 8:44Speaker 1: Tom's sand of aal at like six a m LA
- 8:47Speaker 1: time got up on live on Instagram and started talking
- 8:51Speaker 1: about this whole thing, and then Victoria made a post
- 8:53Speaker 1: and said, my bad, it was a miscommunication. Suffice it
- 8:57Speaker 1: to say Tom's life is in shambles because Tom Sandoval
- 9:02Speaker 1: lost his bar with Tom Schwartz.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That's closed.
- 9:06Speaker 1: He lost Ariana, who is a goddad literal goddess. He
- 9:11Speaker 1: is still in a lawsuit with Ariana over the status
- 9:14Speaker 1: of their home and the sale of their home.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And with Rachel.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He is also in a lawsuit with Raquel for the
- 9:20Speaker 1: dissemination of Revenge Prawn And now he's got this weird
- 9:28Speaker 1: relationship with this girl and drama in drama in the press.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Now some people think he's doing it on purpose so
- 9:34Speaker 1: that he can be maybe a part of the new Vanderpunk.
- 9:38Speaker 1: What a boozer with his new interesting relationship with this woman,
- 9:41Speaker 1: Like anybody cares, I don't care. I want to say
- 9:43Speaker 1: he's forty five years old. Yeah, he's had his shot
- 9:46Speaker 1: at it washed up. He sucks at singing, Yeah, he
- 9:49Speaker 1: sucks at taking care of women, he sucks at life.
- 9:52Speaker 1: We don't need to see him on our television, No,
- 9:55Speaker 1: not at all.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Just like Cody Brown, get out of here.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And I guess he's going to now be represent venting
- 10:00Speaker 1: himself in his lawsuits. I saw fired his lawyers. You
- 10:03Speaker 1: know what that means, right, Yeah, he's running out of Millia. Yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 1: so yikes, Tom, I love it, honestly, you see what
- 10:11Speaker 1: happens with you in twenty twenty five. We might want
- 10:13Speaker 1: to put something on the vision but that, by the way,
- 10:16Speaker 1: we're going to be creating and collaborating on our twenty
- 10:21Speaker 1: twenty five Raccoon vision board only on pageot only, on
- 10:24Speaker 1: pay job, and that's New York's Eve We're going to
- 10:26Speaker 1: be dropping on that. I'm excited about. It makes so
- 10:28Speaker 1: many ideas me too. You're collaborating with the universe. We are,
- 10:32Speaker 1: all right. Final bit of news concerns the beauteous, the wholesome,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and the wonderful Lydia Plath from Welcome to Plaith Bill.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah, she's engaged to.
- 10:45Speaker 1: A very be nice I just take a breath, very Christian,
- 10:50Speaker 1: very uh oof oof dorky looking guy.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Sorry, that's me being nice. Yeah, he's totally out of
- 10:57Speaker 2: Lydia's leak, but you know what, she's out of his
- 10:59Speaker 2: leag Sorry, yes, that's why I meant. But at least
- 11:02Speaker 2: she's happy. I don't think they're kissing though, Like all
- 11:06Speaker 2: their engagement photos, they're like their cheeks are like right
- 11:09Speaker 2: up against each other and like they're holding hands and stuff,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and she's like super happy. And then I guess like
- 11:14Speaker 2: a wedding invitation got leaked or something. On the reddits.
- 11:18Speaker 1: There's a wedding website, okay, And one of the pages
- 11:22Speaker 1: on the website deals with inquiries about the wedding and
- 11:27Speaker 1: if anyone has inquiries to reach out to Lydia's mother,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Miss Kim, Miss Kim and Kim Kim Plath. The narcissist,
- 11:34Speaker 1: the malignant, abusive narcissus, Kimplath actually put her real phone
- 11:38Speaker 1: number on a website that we can all access forgetting
- 11:42Speaker 1: of course, that were raccoons with nothing better to do
- 11:45Speaker 1: but investigated journalism in the dumpster.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I hope people are prank calling her me too.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Oh, I don't have to change her phone numbers. But
- 11:54Speaker 1: she's got a wedding website, she's got herself a young
- 11:57Speaker 1: boy man. She's got herself tried in purity culture.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Huh.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And I guess she's engaged.
- 12:04Speaker 2: You know, I'm happy for him. I wonder if we'll
- 12:05Speaker 2: see him on season six seven? What are we on?
- 12:09Speaker 2: I wonder if it'll be on the new season. I'd
- 12:10Speaker 2: rather see your relationship than Olivia.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Or Micah's Oh my god.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't care, literally don't.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I don't care either, but.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It's interesting she's happy. At first, she was like not
- 12:21Speaker 2: revealing his face, like she was showing photos on her Instagram.
- 12:25Speaker 2: She's like, I'm happy on was keeping his identity. Seonder it.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I mean, y'all go look at the pictures.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Listen. Every girl needs a first husband, So you go, Lydia,
- 12:38Speaker 1: Oh my god. To That concludes our newsworthy item. Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I just wanted to share that with y'all. Now, let's
- 12:46Speaker 1: get into the most recent episode of Sister Wives Against
- 12:49Speaker 1: season nineteen, episode fourteen, and tut the Truth.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Will set you Free. I think that the truth, but
- 12:56Speaker 2: there's no truth to me.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Take I thought there was a lot of truth because
- 12:59Speaker 1: I know you told me that this episode was gonna
- 13:01Speaker 1: be a slog that it was boring as hell, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: I agree, anything with Christine is boring. But I thought
- 13:08Speaker 1: the conversation with Mary where she's using her friends as puppets,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I thought there was a lot that was divulged in
- 13:14Speaker 1: that conversation and I can't wait.
- 13:16Speaker 2: To get I don't know. I was kind of pissed
- 13:18Speaker 2: at Mary, so we'll have to talk about it. She's
- 13:20Speaker 2: annoying to me. But we have like three major things
- 13:23Speaker 2: that happened in this episode. Yeah, Christine wearing a white
- 13:26Speaker 2: dress at engagement party at some taco place and she
- 13:30Speaker 2: spills taco juice on her dress. Then we have Cody
- 13:33Speaker 2: and Robin going on a stupid fucking day at Josephine
- 13:35Speaker 2: spistro in the attic Yai fake talking about church stuff,
- 13:40Speaker 2: and then Cody saying that Robin's pretty. And then Mary
- 13:45Speaker 2: with her friends in Vegas talking about Cody. Yeah, was
- 13:48Speaker 2: all right, I was sorry. Okay, Mary's annoying. But let's
- 13:51Speaker 2: start with the most boring part. Christine with her engagement thing.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Janelle looked fabulous.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That is what I want to talk about.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I mean, she looks so great.
- 13:59Speaker 1: First of all, that hot pink is her color, bitch,
- 14:03Speaker 1: and that dress style on her body, addy yaddie, and
- 14:06Speaker 1: she looks like a million bucks. And as soon as
- 14:09Speaker 1: everybody saw her in that chain restaurant, everybody's like, oh
- 14:13Speaker 1: my god, you are logod beautiful, and she is. She
- 14:17Speaker 1: tell me there's not a cowboy daddy out there.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I mean, that's what I'm saying.
- 14:20Speaker 1: That would just like to live up on all of
- 14:22Speaker 1: that big yes, big old belt buckle, big old boots,
- 14:28Speaker 1: big old, big old. I want Janelle to live twenty five.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I want her to live.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Put it on the vision board, okay, put it on.
- 14:38Speaker 1: She looked stuff ning she did.
- 14:40Speaker 2: And then we have Christine wearing white, right because she's
- 14:43Speaker 2: gotta wear white, and everybody's making fun of her because
- 14:45Speaker 2: she's gonna spill food on it.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Is this content? No? I mean, is this worthy of
- 14:50Speaker 1: a television show that garners a million people? A week
- 14:55Speaker 1: watching like, is this the best you can fucking do?
- 14:59Speaker 1: Jail sy I dare say not.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Well, we did get a speak pipe, which we'll talk
- 15:03Speaker 2: about in our next episode later this week, but we
- 15:06Speaker 2: had somebody say you.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Take it what okay, okay, keep it on, Okay.
- 15:12Speaker 2: We had a speak pipe of somebody saying that she
- 15:14Speaker 2: heard a rumor about the reason why we were seeing
- 15:17Speaker 2: so much Christine and David stuff is because it was
- 15:19Speaker 2: like all b roll for the show because originally they
- 15:22Speaker 2: were gonna have a lot of Garrison content, but then
- 15:25Speaker 2: after his passing, because I guess Cody and the boys
- 15:28Speaker 2: were fighting a lot, and so when he passed, really
- 15:31Speaker 2: they must have removed it. And so now we have
- 15:33Speaker 2: all of this Christine and David stuff.
- 15:36Speaker 1: We have all this Christine and David stuff that is
- 15:39Speaker 1: so dumb. I agree that is really ill advised on
- 15:43Speaker 1: a professional level. If I'm the producers and I've got
- 15:47Speaker 1: content where the eldest sons are challenging their father, I'm
- 15:53Speaker 1: gonna use it. And I understand, like we want to
- 15:56Speaker 1: respect Garrison, but like, is the answer to that just
- 15:59Speaker 1: erasing erasing him? No, erasing his memory? Nobody's talking about him,
- 16:04Speaker 1: like really.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's an interesting thing. She did say
- 16:07Speaker 2: it was like a rumor type of thing. I could
- 16:10Speaker 2: totally see. That's why we have all of this filler content.
- 16:13Speaker 2: But I'm like, in the back of my mind, I'm like,
- 16:15Speaker 2: you have all of this other footage, dude, this is
- 16:18Speaker 2: stuff that's like two years old. Like you could film
- 16:21Speaker 2: more recent shit, we could just catch up to present day,
- 16:24Speaker 2: Like why are we watching all this crap? So I
- 16:27Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know what it is.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But okay, well I guess that's a theory.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I guess.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And if that's the case, then I mean, I just
- 16:34Speaker 1: have lost all confidence in this particular production company. I
- 16:38Speaker 1: will say that this scene, I mean, is just it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: a regurgitation, a reiteration of every other scene with Christine
- 16:46Speaker 1: and David, whether it's cake shopping or dress shopping or
- 16:50Speaker 1: venue shopping. It's like the same kind of thing. It
- 16:53Speaker 1: is incredibly boring, as if you were and we can
- 16:56Speaker 1: root for Christine and I do, yeah, And I can
- 17:00Speaker 1: for David. I think he's a good person, good man.
- 17:02Speaker 1: We do feel that way, But God, make it interesting.
- 17:05Speaker 1: This is not interesting. I loved seeing Hunter, Okay, yeah,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I loved seeing Hunter. I like seeing Hunter show up
- 17:12Speaker 1: for his family. He's such a faithful, loyal child, and man,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I liked I guess seeing the interaction doing David sharing
- 17:21Speaker 1: his food with Hunter. But like, honestly, is this the
- 17:23Speaker 1: most we can do with David and Hunter or Christine
- 17:26Speaker 1: and Hunter or.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Hunter in the room.
- 17:28Speaker 1: We could be talking to Hunter, wed ask Hunter's perspective
- 17:32Speaker 1: on this divorce and his mom's divorce. What are we
- 17:34Speaker 1: doing exactly?
- 17:36Speaker 2: No, Instead we're just talking about Christine's stain on her
- 17:38Speaker 2: shirt and sharing food and how it's weird that David
- 17:41Speaker 2: doesn't like to share food, which I'm just like, that's
- 17:43Speaker 2: not weird.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I don't like to share food. Oh God, you can't
- 17:45Speaker 1: catch me. Don't even look at my food sideways full
- 17:49Speaker 1: on we're fighting.
- 17:50Speaker 2: No for real. That's how I knew your daughter was
- 17:52Speaker 2: the one our first date because she literally took a
- 17:54Speaker 2: bite of my food and I didn't want to, like
- 17:56Speaker 2: pounds on her.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I was like, really interesting because she grew up with
- 18:01Speaker 1: a mama who's like this is my don't touch Yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 1: because when I grew up like food was kind of scary.
- 18:06Speaker 1: It wasn't scarce, but it was like definitely an important commodity,
- 18:10Speaker 1: my poverty family and so like when I had food,
- 18:13Speaker 1: that was my food. Yeah, and I never did not.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I do not share it to this day. If I'm
- 18:18Speaker 1: giving my husband a bite, that means I love you exactly.
- 18:21Speaker 1: That means I truly do like you.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That's how I am too. Yes, yeah, that's adorable.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But yeah, like Christine wearing white and talking about so
- 18:30Speaker 1: extrea tacos and the cons to me, like, who gets okay, Michelty,
- 18:35Speaker 1: Oh my god, get off the TV, dude, She's so
- 18:39Speaker 1: what Christine saying? Michelty and David are so alike. It's
- 18:43Speaker 1: like I'm marrying Mchuelty. No, you and Michelty are so alike.
- 18:47Speaker 1: David is marrying Mchelte exactly, which is weird.
- 18:50Speaker 2: It's all weird. It's even weird to say it's like
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm marrying my daughter. Huh can you not?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 18:55Speaker 2: Bizarre? Yes, So that was it. Then we have uh
- 18:59Speaker 2: Ram and Goblin going on a date and Cody is
- 19:04Speaker 2: so excited.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Now I've seen people posting about this scene. I've seen
- 19:10Speaker 1: comment commentators addressing this scene, trying to deal with the
- 19:15Speaker 1: subject matter that's being discussed between Robin and Cody as
- 19:18Speaker 1: if this is a real thing that's happening in their life,
- 19:21Speaker 1: like Robin has an actual authentic concern for her children
- 19:25Speaker 1: going to church. No, this is all to me. This
- 19:28Speaker 1: is all Robin and Cody driven. They sat down and
- 19:32Speaker 1: they said, well, what should we talk about? Because now
- 19:34Speaker 1: that all the wives are gone and we're going to
- 19:36Speaker 1: have to create content and we're gonna have to share
- 19:38Speaker 1: our lives, we've got to come up with some kind
- 19:41Speaker 1: of a storyline.
- 19:42Speaker 2: They Oh, my beginning to look a lot like my baby.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Are you bringing me an alcoholic girl? Oh? Just always
- 19:58Speaker 1: I like it. What was I saying? I was saying
- 20:01Speaker 1: that they had to sit down, They had to figure
- 20:04Speaker 1: out amongst themselves what kind of storyline they needed to
- 20:07Speaker 1: come up with, something that wouldn't expose them too much,
- 20:11Speaker 1: that it was a safe topic that they could expound
- 20:14Speaker 1: on and seem philosophical and wise and her supportive of
- 20:17Speaker 1: her kids. And this is what they came up with. Yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 1: and so this scene at Josephine's in the attic is
- 20:23Speaker 1: just that it's not real. No, I don't think this
- 20:26Speaker 1: is an actual issue for Aurora and Brianna. It's all reridiculous.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I know, and talking about figuring out what church that
- 20:35Speaker 2: they're going to go to, and Cody's like, yeah, I'd
- 20:37Speaker 2: be fine if they went to the Church of Jesus
- 20:39Speaker 2: Christ of Latter day Saints.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Because if there was a cute boy there, yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It's fine there. And then Robin's like, well, I want
- 20:45Speaker 2: to go to church, and the girl's want to go
- 20:47Speaker 2: to church, and Cody's like, well, I want to go too,
- 20:49Speaker 2: don't cocklock me. I want to go because I got
- 20:52Speaker 2: to make sure nobody's looking at you like you're a
- 20:54Speaker 2: single mom, because you're so hot, so desirable.
- 20:58Speaker 1: So weird.
- 20:59Speaker 2: I mean, oh, it's very much.
- 21:01Speaker 1: It's odd, it's strange. I don't understand, but you know
- 21:04Speaker 1: what I can say, Like Cody is legitimately smitten with
- 21:08Speaker 1: his wife. Yeah, so a way that he looks at her,
- 21:10Speaker 1: Oh my god. He never looked at the other wives
- 21:13Speaker 1: like that, the way that he loves her. He is
- 21:16Speaker 1: so sprung and dumb in love. Yes, Robin, for whatever reason, he.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Just is oh yeah, and didn't he say, like right
- 21:23Speaker 2: before they went on the date, He's just like, I
- 21:25Speaker 2: love doing lovey things with this woman, like he's so
- 21:29Speaker 2: obsessed with her. But then still to this day. No,
- 21:31Speaker 2: I've never favored her, right, No, I loved all my wives,
- 21:35Speaker 2: but actually no, I didn't. I didn't love any of
- 21:36Speaker 2: the other ones except for Robin. It's like so crazy
- 21:39Speaker 2: to me that he can't just admit, like Christine admits
- 21:41Speaker 2: that this is your soul bate, dude, and it's actually
- 21:45Speaker 2: unfortunate because they're like the worst couple, and like I
- 21:48Speaker 2: can't even like look at their love and be like, oh, well,
- 21:52Speaker 2: that's so sweet. Like when Robin's talking about the lightning
- 21:55Speaker 2: bolt that jolted through her pussy when she saw him.
- 21:57Speaker 2: She's like recalling it, like it was so magical and amazing,
- 22:02Speaker 2: and she's like I couldn't take my ass off of you.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It's like you talk off.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah. It was all very very strange. There were a
- 22:11Speaker 1: few things of interest to me in this particular scene.
- 22:15Speaker 1: First and foremost Cody's commentary on the culty nature of
- 22:20Speaker 1: the aub I assume, specifically because he said he'd be
- 22:23Speaker 1: okay if they went to the LDS church, even if
- 22:25Speaker 1: it was for boys. He mentions like he'd be open
- 22:28Speaker 1: to them exploring Buddhism or finding Jesus in some other way,
- 22:32Speaker 1: and how religion often acts as an obstacle to true faith,
- 22:38Speaker 1: Like all of this is so true, and I resonate
- 22:41Speaker 1: with that if it wasn't a madman that was actually
- 22:45Speaker 1: saying these things because he's crazy. But I could only
- 22:50Speaker 1: think to myself as I'm listening to him and even
- 22:52Speaker 1: agree with him, I'm like, isn't it rich? And isn't
- 22:55Speaker 1: it convenient that you get to have this position after
- 22:59Speaker 1: you took your entire higher family through the system of
- 23:02Speaker 1: polygamy and religion, a really toxic, chauvinistic and sexist, racist religion.
- 23:10Speaker 1: You indoctrinated all of them, You required that they go
- 23:14Speaker 1: to this church or believe in this specific way, or
- 23:16Speaker 1: go to a kind of school that's in alignment with that.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And now you've got the luxury after you've blown up
- 23:22Speaker 1: your entire family to be like, yeah, well it doesn't
- 23:25Speaker 1: really align with my faith anymore. The only thing it
- 23:27Speaker 1: really did was provide challenges for me, and those challenges
- 23:32Speaker 1: took me to my prayers and allowed me to know
- 23:35Speaker 1: God better, which sounds good, but it's like, wow, but
- 23:38Speaker 1: you've left this toxic wake behind you, which are your children, Yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 1: and their lives and all of the things that they're
- 23:46Speaker 1: going to have to deal with in order to process
- 23:49Speaker 1: this trauma. And it's fucking sad, And I wish I
- 23:52Speaker 1: could hear you talking a little bit about.
- 23:54Speaker 2: That, yes, please, Like when he said he was tired
- 23:57Speaker 2: of the cult like churches and all this stuff, I'm like.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Are you kidding, dude?
- 24:01Speaker 2: We saw you act as a preacher on TV, like
- 24:05Speaker 2: you've been preaching about this religion and polygamy and how
- 24:08Speaker 2: great it is for fucking eighteen seasons.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Like, get fucked.
- 24:12Speaker 2: It pisses me off that all of the adults in
- 24:14Speaker 2: this family except for like Mary, have abandoned this religion
- 24:18Speaker 2: and abandoned this church, but nobody's talking about it. Nobody's
- 24:22Speaker 2: owning up to it, being like yeah, like we really
- 24:24Speaker 2: what is the word proselytize? Proselytize like on TV for
- 24:28Speaker 2: eighteen seasons and now we're just like not a part
- 24:31Speaker 2: about it, not a part of it anymore because of Xbox,
- 24:35Speaker 2: Like they're not going into any of that.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Like and even if you don't talk to us about
- 24:39Speaker 1: like how this came about for you, but at least
- 24:41Speaker 1: refer to it. Like at some point last year, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I had a moment down on my knees, and I realized,
- 24:47Speaker 1: this is not like I talk to us a little bit,
- 24:49Speaker 1: refer back to it and talk to us, give us
- 24:51Speaker 1: some context. Guy, just all of a sudden being angry
- 24:54Speaker 1: about it or calling it a cult, which it is.
- 24:57Speaker 2: It is, yank you, thank you, what it is yep.
- 24:59Speaker 1: But like Jesus crackers, give me more than that, right,
- 25:02Speaker 1: so annoying.
- 25:03Speaker 2: It's really annoying. I would much rather have conversations about
- 25:06Speaker 2: religion every single episode than watching Christine spill fucking juice on.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Another thing that I thought was very, very fascinating Beatrice
- 25:18Speaker 1: was when they were getting into their villain origin story
- 25:22Speaker 1: how they met at church, which to me like, and
- 25:25Speaker 1: of course, you know, I've got the memory of a
- 25:27Speaker 1: june bug, so I don't remember a lot. But I
- 25:30Speaker 1: thought that Robin and Cody met at some dance, and
- 25:35Speaker 1: that it was Mary who made the entree and and
- 25:39Speaker 1: introduced Cody to Robin. But the way that Cody is
- 25:42Speaker 1: talking about it in this episode is that he was
- 25:45Speaker 1: at church and he was talking to his friend and
- 25:47Speaker 1: he saw her across the room wearing those Diesel jeans, honey,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and just cutting a breakdancing. She killed fly and everything
- 25:57Speaker 1: they locked and they locked eyes and he just looked
- 26:00Speaker 1: into her soul and she looked into his soul and
- 26:03Speaker 1: boom that was it. And then coincidentally, what a coinkydnk Right,
- 26:07Speaker 1: a couple weeks later, Robin happens to see him at
- 26:12Speaker 1: her cousin's house or something like that.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Or like Mary's cousin's house. It was Mary was involved or.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Somebody's cousin wasn't, But I thought it was Robin's cause
- 26:19Speaker 1: I don't even know girl. But like, this is not
- 26:21Speaker 1: the story that you told in season one when I
- 26:26Speaker 1: I did watch that, and didn't Cody say at the
- 26:28Speaker 1: time that he got the ick from Robin because she
- 26:32Speaker 1: was married, or like she had been married and had
- 26:34Speaker 1: kids and like that. Actually when he first met her,
- 26:37Speaker 1: he was like, oh, I don't think so. Yeah, And
- 26:40Speaker 1: now all of a sudden, it was this magical lightning
- 26:43Speaker 1: bolt moment where you guys were bonded by infinity, right,
- 26:47Speaker 1: get your stories straight, you dummies.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Well they can't because they were probably seeing each other
- 26:52Speaker 2: for a little bit beforehand, and they're keeping it hidden,
- 26:55Speaker 2: I mean, and he was like spending weekends in Saint
- 26:57Speaker 2: George to go visit her and court her during their courtship,
- 27:01Speaker 2: So there's a lot that they're not saying, and they've
- 27:04Speaker 2: kept their relationship hidden, I think since the very beginning,
- 27:07Speaker 2: because Cody alludes to that even now, like I had
- 27:10Speaker 2: to hide a lot of my relationship with Robin because
- 27:12Speaker 2: the other wives were jealous. It's like, yeah, what else
- 27:14Speaker 2: were you hiding? I don't know. I don't believe their
- 27:16Speaker 2: origin story. I don't believe the whole lightning bolt through
- 27:20Speaker 2: my body.
- 27:21Speaker 1: And her testimony, her witnessing vibe, I don't need you well.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Brandy kind of calls it out in the later scene
- 27:27Speaker 1: with Mary, She's like, Oh, you mean the cheating that
- 27:29Speaker 1: took place? Yeah, yeah, because maybe that's what Mary thought
- 27:33Speaker 1: it was. That's what Mary's telling her friends. Wasn't that,
- 27:37Speaker 1: like she introduced Cody to Robin, but it was rather
- 27:41Speaker 1: that he was cheating yet that they found each other,
- 27:44Speaker 1: and then maybe they orchestrated and or coordinated this entire
- 27:46Speaker 1: exactly to get together. And again, we have talked in
- 27:49Speaker 1: the past about how Robin probably had her ear to
- 27:52Speaker 1: the ground, knew that they were going to be filming
- 27:55Speaker 1: a show about polygamy, heard that it was going to
- 27:58Speaker 1: be centered around the Brown and then insinuated herself into
- 28:03Speaker 1: this family because she wanted the cloud, she wanted the fame,
- 28:05Speaker 1: she wanted the money.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Uh huh, the money, honey. And honestly, that's like the
- 28:11Speaker 2: point where Cody became a monogamous. That's the point where
- 28:14Speaker 2: he started probably questioning his faith, Like, man, do I
- 28:17Speaker 2: really got to be married to all these other wives
- 28:19Speaker 2: that I just like aim not into because I've got
- 28:21Speaker 2: this sweet break dancing pussy over here in Saint George,
- 28:24Speaker 2: So I'm just in love with because she's so shy
- 28:26Speaker 2: and pretty. Like maybe that's when he started questioning things,
- 28:29Speaker 2: or I don't know, maybe it was after Winn died
- 28:32Speaker 2: because his dad was the one that kind of converted
- 28:34Speaker 2: him into this whole faith. Maybe it disillusioned him. I
- 28:38Speaker 2: don't know, but I'm just like, I don't care about
- 28:40Speaker 2: your guys's origin story. I don't care about your love.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I don't care about you guys. I think you're terrible people.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Go away, yep over it, Yep I am as well.
- 28:49Speaker 2: And then the rest of the episode was Mary and
- 28:52Speaker 2: her friends in Vegas totally talking shit about Cody.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Right, So, I thought that Cody commenting about Mary's friends
- 29:04Speaker 1: talking shit on her behalf was one hundred percent accurate
- 29:08Speaker 1: because for the last I don't know how many episodes
- 29:10Speaker 1: we've got Mary surrounded by her friends, whether that's Nate
- 29:13Speaker 1: and Rebecca, whether that's Jen, whether it's Brandy from a
- 29:17Speaker 1: previous episode hillar Racey Rando's at La Calae Lacai and
- 29:23Speaker 1: then now here again with Jen, and like she's bringing
- 29:25Speaker 1: in these random people that we really haven't been introduced
- 29:29Speaker 1: to other than Jen, and we're having these people share
- 29:32Speaker 1: these opinions that we actually also have as well. And
- 29:37Speaker 1: I think it's Mary asking them to do that, yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 1: asking them to have these conversations that she's been having
- 29:43Speaker 1: with these women for years, but she wants them to
- 29:45Speaker 1: speak up so that she doesn't have to. And something
- 29:49Speaker 1: about that really bothers me.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Of course, in her interstitial in her talking head, she
- 29:54Speaker 1: calls Cody a dumas, and she does talk about Robin
- 29:57Speaker 1: not being reciprocal and all of that good stuff. So
- 29:59Speaker 1: she is sharing and revealing, but like, you don't need
- 30:03Speaker 1: these random women to tell us the truth about your life, yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: and to share what it is you actually went through.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You don't need them to say the harder and uglier
- 30:13Speaker 1: things like we really want to see that from you.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 2: And then it's really rich to me that Mary in
- 30:19Speaker 2: her talking head talks about how she wants to be
- 30:22Speaker 2: more mature than the other ex wives on the show
- 30:26Speaker 2: because she saw how everybody acted last season on TV
- 30:29Speaker 2: and thought it was inappropriate and that we could do better.
- 30:32Speaker 2: But then she has her friends talking shit for her
- 30:34Speaker 2: because she doesn't have the balls to do it, and
- 30:36Speaker 2: then she's calling Cody a demas also in her talking head.
- 30:39Speaker 2: It's like so hypocritical, like just say it with your
- 30:42Speaker 2: full chest and worthy up, Like that's why she pissed
- 30:44Speaker 2: me off. It's not so much that I'm pissed that
- 30:47Speaker 2: she's like hanging out with her friends or that they're
- 30:50Speaker 2: talking shit for it. It's just like, you're so not honest,
- 30:53Speaker 2: And then you're gonna throw in digs like that yes
- 30:56Speaker 2: to Janelle and Christine because of the way they acted
- 30:59Speaker 2: last seasons. And then you have Janelle kind of quipping
- 31:02Speaker 2: back and her talking head being like, I just spoke
- 31:04Speaker 2: my mind, ho, Like what are you talking about. I
- 31:06Speaker 2: wasn't being mean. I was standing up for myself and
- 31:10Speaker 2: for my kids exactly, So I don't know why Mary
- 31:12Speaker 2: has to do shit like that. Yeah, that annoys me.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It annoys me too, And I just feel like, and
- 31:19Speaker 1: I hate to beat the drum every week, but I
- 31:21Speaker 1: just feel like it's indicative of the fact that she
- 31:24Speaker 1: hasn't actually healed if she feels like she needs to
- 31:28Speaker 1: use people as a proxy to actually air the things
- 31:31Speaker 1: that she wants to say, Like if you were truly empowered,
- 31:34Speaker 1: if you truly had your throat chakra open, hold it,
- 31:37Speaker 1: you would have no problem saying exactly how you feel
- 31:40Speaker 1: to Cody, Robin and anybody else. And so that I
- 31:43Speaker 1: was just like, oh, that's annoying. Yeah, But separating that
- 31:49Speaker 1: from the content of the conversation, I think we should
- 31:53Speaker 1: do that because some of the things that came out
- 31:56Speaker 1: I thought were great. For example, Brandy saying like I
- 32:01Speaker 1: been knew, I knew that he was favoriting Robin from
- 32:05Speaker 1: the very beginning. That's what I saw. And so that's
- 32:08Speaker 1: that blanket statement that we all agree with as audience members.
- 32:12Speaker 1: And then you have Mary saying to the camera, well,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I don't think Robin came into this family intending to
- 32:20Speaker 1: drive the original three wives away. But what she doesn't
- 32:24Speaker 1: say is what we really want to hear, which is
- 32:26Speaker 1: but at some point that became her agenda and that
- 32:30Speaker 1: is exactly what she did, exactly.
- 32:32Speaker 2: But that's the thing is like Mary's always got a
- 32:34Speaker 2: cover for Robin and Cody. At some point, like I
- 32:38Speaker 2: think she was talking about Robin not being reciprocal or something,
- 32:41Speaker 2: but she's like, well, you know, I've tried, like I
- 32:42Speaker 2: don't think Robin's a bad person. It's like, why are
- 32:45Speaker 2: you gonna do that? Just be honest. And then they
- 32:47Speaker 2: talked about Robin crying at Coyote Pass during Mary and
- 32:51Speaker 2: Cody's breakup situation, and and Mary's just like, yeah, like
- 32:55Speaker 2: I have no doubt that Robin was definitely devastated. It's
- 32:58Speaker 2: like Mary that for one second, why would she be devastated? Yeah? Literally,
- 33:04Speaker 2: like come.
- 33:04Speaker 1: On, And then they show the flashback and it's more
- 33:08Speaker 1: obvious now than ever how Robin just showed up to
- 33:11Speaker 1: Coyote Pass that day to perform empathy or her approximation
- 33:16Speaker 1: of empathy. She doesn't actually know what empathy is, because
- 33:19Speaker 1: she's a complete narcissist in my opinion. But I'm just like,
- 33:22Speaker 1: it's wild. But I don't know why Mary feels the
- 33:26Speaker 1: need to continue to somewhat protect Robin and Cody, but
- 33:30Speaker 1: she is being more bold than ever. She's talking about
- 33:34Speaker 1: COVID right, and Jen wants to talk about COVID and
- 33:37Speaker 1: how Robin was constantly saying I'm here for you, girl,
- 33:40Speaker 1: I will be there for you, and then in times
- 33:43Speaker 1: of deep importance actually never showed up. Case in point
- 33:48Speaker 1: would be the funeral of Bonnie, Mary's mother, how Robin
- 33:53Speaker 1: didn't go, Cody went though, and Janelle went though, and
- 33:57Speaker 1: then you've got Robin giving her excuses, well, couldn't both
- 34:00Speaker 1: quarantine and the kids even though they have a nanny,
- 34:04Speaker 1: even though they have two adult children, and the three
- 34:07Speaker 1: adult children in the house who are not going to
- 34:08Speaker 1: the funeral that can stand in the gap. She's making
- 34:12Speaker 1: all of these lame and dumb excuses. Further illustrating what
- 34:16Speaker 1: Jen and what Mary is saying is that she's just
- 34:20Speaker 1: all words, all talk, and doesn't actually show up, never
- 34:23Speaker 1: actually showed up for Mary, who we can visualize sitting
- 34:29Speaker 1: in her haunted flag Staff rental during COVID with her
- 34:33Speaker 1: long list given to her by Cody, which they also
- 34:35Speaker 1: talk about, this list of things which she has been
- 34:39Speaker 1: performing and doing, infidelity and being isolated and alone and
- 34:46Speaker 1: reaching out and saying, hey, do you think I can
- 34:49Speaker 1: come over and see Solinari? Or would you guys like
- 34:51Speaker 1: to have some dinner, or hey, Robin, you want to
- 34:53Speaker 1: get some coffee? Anything? Anything, But it's crickets. Just imagine
- 34:58Speaker 1: what it would have been like for Mayor in those
- 35:01Speaker 1: two three years or however long it was. Oh my,
- 35:04Speaker 1: just trying to be a part of a family on
- 35:06Speaker 1: the outside looking in yet to this warm, beautiful place
- 35:10Speaker 1: and she's not invited in. It is fucking crushing and heartbreaking.
- 35:15Speaker 1: And Mary, I would love for you to talk about
- 35:17Speaker 1: it in those kind of gritty terms.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Honestly, but she never will because she doesn't like to
- 35:22Speaker 2: be vulnerable and she doesn't like to talk about the
- 35:24Speaker 2: things that hurt her. And like, even in these moments,
- 35:27Speaker 2: she's talking to her friends being like, yeah, like I
- 35:29Speaker 2: haven't cried in like ten years, Like I'm over it,
- 35:31Speaker 2: like whatever. It's like, No, be honest, Like you would
- 35:34Speaker 2: have worked on things if Cody even gave you an
- 35:37Speaker 2: inch and he didn't, and like you didn't want to
- 35:39Speaker 2: divorce him, like you read off your text to him
- 35:42Speaker 2: about how you didn't want this to happen and you
- 35:45Speaker 2: got the release and you wish him nothing but joy
- 35:47Speaker 2: and love, And it's like, I don't know. Mary's just
- 35:50Speaker 2: such an enigma, like doesn't want to be vulnerable, gives
- 35:53Speaker 2: us these little nuggets because she knows that's what people
- 35:55Speaker 2: want and that's it. But like with the whole Robin stuff,
- 35:59Speaker 2: I just I liked that part where she was discussing
- 36:02Speaker 2: that and totally outing Robin because Robin's a fucking snake
- 36:06Speaker 2: and has never cared about Mary. But I do think
- 36:09Speaker 2: like the funeral of her mom was like the last
- 36:12Speaker 2: straw with Robin. I just wish she could be like real,
- 36:15Speaker 2: like why didn't you just not accept her dumb junk
- 36:19Speaker 2: journal gift when she gave it to you when you
- 36:21Speaker 2: were moving, Like why didn't just be like fuck you?
- 36:23Speaker 1: Or like your friends just say like wow, I've been
- 36:26Speaker 1: texting you every day for like ugh, or I've been
- 36:29Speaker 1: trying to reach out to you. How come you don't
- 36:30Speaker 1: write me back? How come you guys don't talk to me?
- 36:32Speaker 1: Is it because this is just for the cameras, Like, Hey,
- 36:34Speaker 1: this is me and you. I'm gonna be absolutely one
- 36:37Speaker 1: hundred with you. I'm gonna tell you how I feel
- 36:39Speaker 1: that's what friends do. Yeah, we talk about it if
- 36:41Speaker 1: we're upset. So it just speaks to how false the
- 36:45Speaker 1: entire thing actually was. I also loved the flashback, I
- 36:50Speaker 1: have to say, speaking of Robin and staying on this
- 36:52Speaker 1: for just a moment of Cody talking to Mary after
- 36:57Speaker 1: the fact, when he's at the flagstaff, when he's moving
- 36:59Speaker 1: her outer whatever, he's there and he's just like, yeah,
- 37:02Speaker 1: well we could have had that conversation without Robin, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: Mary's like, absolutely, duh. It kind of look like when
- 37:09Speaker 1: you're watching Mary, it kind of look like she wanted
- 37:11Speaker 1: to say, well, absolutely, like why did we have to
- 37:13Speaker 1: have Robin there? This is our relationship? Like what the
- 37:15Speaker 1: fuck right? But then he goes on to say, poor girl,
- 37:18Speaker 1: poor Robin. Oh my god, it was so hard on her,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and then they all kind of laugh about just how
- 37:24Speaker 1: ridiculous it is that he would be so cut off
- 37:27Speaker 1: from any compassion for Mary that he would realize that
- 37:30Speaker 1: it was difficult for Mary in that moment. It's because
- 37:33Speaker 1: he doesn't care, and as we have said, doesn't care
- 37:36Speaker 1: that she lives or that she dies. He just wants
- 37:39Speaker 1: her money. Yep.
- 37:40Speaker 2: And that's why her friends also call her out in
- 37:42Speaker 2: the scene and say like you have Stockholm syndrome. You
- 37:45Speaker 2: literally keep going back to your captor like what's wrong
- 37:48Speaker 2: with you? And then Mary and her talking head. I
- 37:50Speaker 2: don't believe I have Stockholm syndrome. It's a little dramatic.
- 37:53Speaker 2: I don't have that.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Yes you do, And she's like, it's because I'm committed,
- 37:57Speaker 1: and it's because I'm faithful. That's true too. I believe that, yes,
- 38:00Speaker 1: but but you should acknowledge the fact that you stayed
- 38:03Speaker 1: in it for many, many, many years longer than you
- 38:05Speaker 1: should have. Uh huh, and that had an impact not
- 38:08Speaker 1: just on you, but like everybody in that family, including Leon.
- 38:11Speaker 1: All of this is germane and imporum, but you won't
- 38:14Speaker 1: talk about it. Yep, dude.
- 38:16Speaker 2: If she was like the first one to leave, I
- 38:18Speaker 2: feel like everyone else would have left much shoes much sooner,
- 38:21Speaker 2: maybe like Christine left and then Janelle and then Mary,
- 38:23Speaker 2: all within three years. Like if Mary would have been
- 38:26Speaker 2: the first one after the catfish and she was like,
- 38:28Speaker 2: you know what, you haven't fucked me in six years,
- 38:30Speaker 2: like I'm leaving deuces, maybe it would have been different
- 38:33Speaker 2: for the time. I'm not saying I'm not putting it
- 38:35Speaker 2: all Mary. It's just like Mary's failure to act. And
- 38:38Speaker 2: then now she's in this like empowerment era, which is great.
- 38:41Speaker 1: But it's empowerment. It's hamp to have your friends say
- 38:44Speaker 1: the things you don't want to say exactly because you
- 38:46Speaker 1: still love him. And she even says to Brandy and
- 38:48Speaker 1: Jen in this conversation, I loved him and I still
- 38:51Speaker 1: love him.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yes, I'm like, why what is there to love?
- 38:55Speaker 1: I don't know, but she does it. Finally finally calls
- 38:58Speaker 1: him out in her talking like I've seen the things
- 39:02Speaker 1: Cody has been saying about me, and like he's super
- 39:05Speaker 1: comfortable talking mad shit about me. And I don't understand
- 39:10Speaker 1: why I have to be the nice one. Why I
- 39:13Speaker 1: have to continue to be like so kind and so
- 39:16Speaker 1: respectful when you're out here acting a fool. And this
- 39:19Speaker 1: was connected to when she got her release yeah, and
- 39:22Speaker 1: then sent him that text which she badly wanted to
- 39:25Speaker 1: read for us, Yeah, to demonstrate and show us how
- 39:28Speaker 1: beyond the drama she is. But she is the drama.
- 39:32Speaker 1: She's part of the drama. Yep, she's fueling this drama currently.
- 39:35Speaker 1: So she reads the text about saying, Hey, I got
- 39:37Speaker 1: the release, I just want you to know, thank you
- 39:39Speaker 1: so much for all of the years, the joy, the
- 39:42Speaker 1: good times. You do not have to worry about me.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I got this y And Cody's predictable and poisonous response
- 39:50Speaker 1: is to call her all defensive and upset, and they
- 39:54Speaker 1: kind of conflate him calling her with the conversation they
- 39:57Speaker 1: had on camera, which is him asking why did she
- 40:01Speaker 1: do it so soon?
- 40:02Speaker 2: Right?
- 40:03Speaker 1: I mean, is there another guy or whatever? But like
- 40:06Speaker 1: he calls, they have a conversation, Mary has to put
- 40:08Speaker 1: him in his place a little bit, and then she
- 40:10Speaker 1: has to tell us like I don't have to put
- 40:12Speaker 1: up with his crap anymore, Like there's no reason for
- 40:14Speaker 1: me to do that.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Correct, Fine, but then why do you write a check
- 40:18Speaker 2: to pay off a quarter of Coyote Pass? And you
- 40:20Speaker 2: go down to Flagstaff to go and see Cody in
- 40:23Speaker 2: his house and talk to him, and then rat on
- 40:25Speaker 2: Janelle like why do you still have to cover for him?
- 40:27Speaker 2: And Robin on TV in front of everybody else, you're
- 40:30Speaker 2: like not like you're quick to call him a dumb ass,
- 40:32Speaker 2: but then in another scene you're like, nobod, I still
- 40:34Speaker 2: love him. I know he's still a good guy.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Well, but in fairness, her interstitial calling him a dumbass
- 40:40Speaker 1: is takes place months after she's on the couch and
- 40:43Speaker 1: Brady's home saying that she loves him. So there's even
- 40:46Speaker 1: more footage that she's seen. There's hopefully even more development
- 40:50Speaker 1: that she's made on a personal, psychological and spiritual level. Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: maybe she's in a better place and she can see
- 40:55Speaker 1: more clearly, but I mean, frankly, in her interstitials that
- 40:59Speaker 1: are current, like, she's still missing the point. She's still
- 41:02Speaker 1: dodging the full truth. She's also dodging the accountability that
- 41:05Speaker 1: all of these adults have for the damage that has
- 41:09Speaker 1: been done to all of them, but namely the children
- 41:11Speaker 1: and their finances. They're not actually addressing any of that
- 41:15Speaker 1: the way we should be.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Oh well, there was an interview that she did, I
- 41:19Speaker 2: think on like Entertainment Weekly or something. It's on YouTube
- 41:22Speaker 2: and it's a whole like ten minutes of her giving breadcrumbs.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yet she does kind of allude to the fact of
- 41:28Speaker 2: like Coyote Pass and being paid off and stuff, because
- 41:30Speaker 2: the interview's like, yeah, we just saw that you guys
- 41:32Speaker 2: paid it all off, Like are things better now? Like
- 41:35Speaker 2: are you guys gonna sell it? Like does everybody get
- 41:37Speaker 2: their equal share, and she's like, it's still not settled.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Like to this day, it's still not settled. They're still
- 41:42Speaker 2: trying to fight it. They're still figuring inever.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Our Lord November or December twenty twenty four exactly, So.
- 41:47Speaker 2: That is kind of interesting. She's like, I think the
- 41:50Speaker 2: interview asked her, are we gonna see it on the
- 41:52Speaker 2: next season, and Mary's like, yeah, it's still an ongoing issue,
- 41:55Speaker 2: so like we're gonna still see more of that. Maybe
- 41:57Speaker 2: it'll be interesting, like once we get caught up more
- 41:59Speaker 2: to present time. I don't know, but like, okay, I
- 42:03Speaker 2: was just gonna say it, Like that's like the frustrating
- 42:05Speaker 2: thing about TLC production, Like we're seeing these moments of
- 42:08Speaker 2: Mary where she's still kind of pathetic and like is
- 42:12Speaker 2: still having her friends talk for her, and she still
- 42:14Speaker 2: hasn't hashtag worthied up. But like maybe in another season
- 42:18Speaker 2: it'll be better, Maybe she'll talk a little bit more shit.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I don't know, I'm holding out hope I shouldn't.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know. I just I feel like
- 42:26Speaker 1: she's fifty three or fifty four years old at this point,
- 42:30Speaker 1: and I just I just don't see her utilizing the
- 42:35Speaker 1: tools that are available to her. I just don't see
- 42:38Speaker 1: her kind of saying the things that would be indicative
- 42:41Speaker 1: of benchmarks of progress, right. I don't mean to be
- 42:44Speaker 1: a judgy bitch though, and I'm not like trying to
- 42:46Speaker 1: presume to tell her how to heal or to how
- 42:49Speaker 1: to be a better person. It's just like what I'm saying,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and it's not her fault maybe, like it's the producers too.
- 42:53Speaker 1: It's the way they cut everything up, Like you can
- 42:55Speaker 1: tell in the talking heads, even when they're talking on
- 42:58Speaker 1: one subject matter, like they're cutting it up so much
- 43:01Speaker 1: like you don't even know what they said in a
- 43:02Speaker 1: continuous way. We don't even really know what's actually being
- 43:05Speaker 1: said because of the way that TLC is producing this
- 43:08Speaker 1: actual show.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Yes, it's really terrible, honestly, I'm like, this is it's
- 43:13Speaker 2: turning into such produced crab. I mean, it's been like
- 43:16Speaker 2: that for a bit, but it's like even more so
- 43:18Speaker 2: this season because it's just so fake. And then next
- 43:21Speaker 2: week we're gonna be seeing more of that. So we
- 43:23Speaker 2: have Christine trying on her wedding dress, her custom wedding dress,
- 43:28Speaker 2: and I'm just like, why aren't you.
- 43:30Speaker 1: The dump dress? And I'm like, why didn't you get
- 43:32Speaker 1: in fitted the dum dump a dress?
- 43:34Speaker 2: Shit, it's falling off her shoulders yeap. And then Mary
- 43:39Speaker 2: breaks something.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like with some new friends who are probably
- 43:43Speaker 1: gonna talk shit about Cody and Robin, and they're breaking
- 43:45Speaker 1: some sign that says Cody and Mary or I don't
- 43:48Speaker 1: care like that.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Maybe it's the mission statement, mission statement, But was it
- 43:52Speaker 2: all a metal I don't think.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 43:54Speaker 2: We'll see. And then we have Robin talking about the
- 43:58Speaker 2: family accusations and then saying, she feels like she's been gassed.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Oh my god, let's see what you have to say
- 44:03Speaker 1: this week, rob it please? How do you spin this
- 44:07Speaker 1: in that small little chipmunk brain of yours so that
- 44:10Speaker 1: you can you think that it makes sense to the
- 44:12Speaker 1: rest of us watching.
- 44:16Speaker 2: That's so unbelievable to me.
- 44:18Speaker 1: We gaslight year, sure, and then claim to be gas lighted, right,
- 44:22Speaker 1: that's what she's doing.
- 44:23Speaker 2: I'm just like, man, dig yourself a deeper grave, girl,
- 44:26Speaker 2: like you guys are never coming back from this shit never.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And did you see that my sister wives closet? I
- 44:31Speaker 2: think is back up or like trying to be back up.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think there's like, well, I don't know
- 44:35Speaker 2: if it's like new products are getting put up on there.
- 44:38Speaker 2: The site's still active, so I'm wondering if she's gonna
- 44:40Speaker 2: still try and sell stuff or she's going to do
- 44:42Speaker 2: a rebrand of all that terrible jewelry. But y'all are
- 44:46Speaker 2: gonna have to figure out how to make some money. Yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 2: maybe that's why Cody's at the gun show selling gun accessory, right,
- 44:51Speaker 2: maybe that's.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Why he's no longer sell actual like guns. I read
- 44:55Speaker 1: it again on Reddit that he lost his ability to
- 44:59Speaker 1: sell the guns in the way that he used to. Yeah,
- 45:02Speaker 1: so now he's doing accessories and stupid things like that.
- 45:04Speaker 1: But like he knows every time he shows up at
- 45:08Speaker 1: that Tucson, Yeah convention Center with all of his shit, like,
- 45:13Speaker 1: there's gonna be so many raccoons helping me and you
- 45:16Speaker 1: if we live, if you struck up in Arizona, and
- 45:18Speaker 1: we would be going to every gun show in Utah
- 45:22Speaker 1: and Begs, we'd be looking for Cody Brown.
- 45:24Speaker 2: And some of the photos that people have gotten on
- 45:27Speaker 2: Reddit are so unflattering, like his bald spot and his
- 45:31Speaker 2: curly blonde hair. I'm just like I there was also.
- 45:35Speaker 1: He did he talked about his hair.
- 45:36Speaker 2: He did. He talked about oh yeah, on the date
- 45:39Speaker 2: about the AaB.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he was talking about the AUB because apparently the
- 45:41Speaker 1: AUB tapped him to be like a Bible study leader
- 45:44Speaker 1: or something like that. You wanted him to be a
- 45:45Speaker 1: leader in the faith. But they said, but you got
- 45:48Speaker 1: to cut your hair because it's rebellious. And then he
- 45:51Speaker 1: got all mad and because that's an ego wound and
- 45:54Speaker 1: how dare you tell me how I should keep my
- 45:56Speaker 1: hair if it's not against the law or against God's law, Like,
- 45:59Speaker 1: don't tell me anything. Of course, his hair was that
- 46:03Speaker 1: precious to him.
- 46:04Speaker 2: It still is. He wears a hairnet to protect the
- 46:06Speaker 2: few tentrils that are still hanging.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Ridiculous and it's wonderful.
- 46:10Speaker 2: At the same time, he's gonna be one of those
- 46:12Speaker 2: old guys that has a comb over with three hairs,
- 46:16Speaker 2: just so he can say I'm not bald though, ye
- 46:18Speaker 2: I'm not bald, right, which I love.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I love it too, so insecure, I love it so
- 46:23Speaker 1: driven by madness. I know what I love to watch. Well,
- 46:27Speaker 1: is there anything else that we want to talk about
- 46:29Speaker 1: about this episode? We should mention that it doesn't appear
- 46:34Speaker 1: that there's going to be an episode this Sunday.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I think there's going to be a holiday break allegedly.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Christ Moss Moss Christ Yes, more Christ x Moss. So
- 46:46Speaker 1: we will not be here next week.
- 46:48Speaker 2: We're going to take a little break.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Well, I mean, it's the holiday.
- 46:51Speaker 2: We're gonna get drunk, indeed, play marioses, you know, just have.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Fun, open presence and do all of that. I don't
- 46:58Speaker 1: think there's gonna be an episode of the first place,
- 47:01Speaker 1: And so the next time we will be here is
- 47:03Speaker 1: the following week. But of course we're going to probably
- 47:06Speaker 1: have to film that on New Year's Day, which is
- 47:08Speaker 1: a Tuesday. Are you willing to do that for the pod?
- 47:11Speaker 2: For them?
- 47:12Speaker 1: I'm willing to do that in the New Year was
- 47:14Speaker 1: now track? What if there is an episode that drops
- 47:17Speaker 1: on Sunday? Do you want to meet at Christmas? I
- 47:20Speaker 1: mean we're already meeting to exchange presents and then do
- 47:23Speaker 1: you want to just hop into the studio and record
- 47:25Speaker 1: a pod?
- 47:25Speaker 2: Do you want to do that?
- 47:26Speaker 1: No? I do exactly, No, I do not. No, We're
- 47:28Speaker 1: gonna have a immediately start drinking eggnog for really whiskey
- 47:31Speaker 1: in it.
- 47:31Speaker 2: We're gonna have coffee cake. We're gonna have a breakfast cast.
- 47:33Speaker 1: That's right.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I don't want to see that. I don't want to
- 47:36Speaker 2: worry about my job.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Okay, so next week we're not going to be here, guys,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and we hope that you don't have to work either.
- 47:43Speaker 1: We hope that if you celebrate, and however you celebrate,
- 47:46Speaker 1: that you have a wonderful holiday. Whether it's Honikka, whether
- 47:50Speaker 1: it's Kwanza, whether it's Christmas, whether it's Yule, whether you're
- 47:54Speaker 1: a proper pig in hoky, whatever you do, we just
- 47:56Speaker 1: hope that you have a wonderful time and that's just
- 47:58Speaker 1: surrounded by love and warmth and trash, yes, the best
- 48:02Speaker 1: possible trash. All right, Is there anything else that we
- 48:06Speaker 1: need to say to these beautiful raccoons before we get
- 48:09Speaker 1: up on Addie here Beatrice.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, I sure hope and
- 48:14Speaker 2: plead that you go to your favorite podcast platform and
- 48:16Speaker 2: leave us a glowing five star review. It costs to
- 48:19Speaker 2: nothing and it helps us grow the pod and we
- 48:21Speaker 2: really appreciate it, so thank you very.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Much to appreciate it. We'll be back later this week
