- 0:00All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their
- 0:04Creator with certain unalienable Rights, by liberty.
- 0:13If liberty means anything at all, it means right to tell
- 0:17people what they do not want to hear.
- 0:42Welcome back to the big show. Of course I'm your host Lance
- 0:45Miliacho with my Co host George Ballantine.
- 0:48Fastest growing show on Rumble. Of course, it's always tip of
- 0:51the spear. If you're looking for lies or
- 0:53narratives that aren't true, you're in the wrong place.
- 0:55You better head over to CNN or MSNBC or one of the other
- 0:58mainstream media sources because this is always tip of the spear
- 1:02on this show. Edge of the knife.
- 1:04Because if liberty means anything at all, it means the
- 1:06right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
- 1:08And you know, that's the plan to educate and unify the country
- 1:12one episode at a time. George B What's going on, man?
- 1:16Running a gun. And we got a big we got a big
- 1:18day today. I.
- 1:18Do I'm I'm excited for this interview because we got TV
- 1:21Superman gets to meet the real life Superman.
- 1:23You know what? I'm saying, you know, we went
- 1:27backstage. Got a bigger smile than me right
- 1:29now. That is yet to be proven, but
- 1:32before we kick off, I have some. People saying about.
- 1:34Today too, it's always hard. Scheduling is always the hardest
- 1:37part about getting interviews. You know, You get lots of
- 1:39opportunities. But the great part today, of
- 1:41course, you guys know backstage we have Dean Cain, actor,
- 1:45producer, patriot, advocate, and I think a real icon, 200 plus
- 1:50movies under his belt. And I had no idea an NFL career
- 1:54that got got, you know, obviously run short by an
- 1:57injury. And I didn't know about that
- 1:59when I started researching this. One of the things that sometimes
- 2:01you don't know about a celebrity or somebody that you've watched
- 2:04for years on the big screen that you've always enjoyed their
- 2:08work, but you didn't know the path that got them there.
- 2:10He's got a really interesting story behind it.
- 2:12Before we kick it off, I've got to thank those people.
- 2:14But George, do we want to bring Dean in so that I can he can
- 2:17join us for the Genesis Gold Group?
- 2:19Absolutely sponsoring. He's got his prepper bar handy
- 2:22so I think we should. Die.
- 2:24Welcome to the big, big show, Dean Kane.
- 2:27How you doing, Sir? We're doing great, we're
- 2:31fantastic. You know I love the fact that
- 2:34you got your prepper bar. Of course we're holding up the
- 2:3562.2g prepper bar. Perforated, easily broken down,
- 2:39your choice of three different denominations.
- 2:42It fits a multitude of needs. You go.
- 2:43You know that George, myself and now Dean Kane were stackers.
- 2:47You got to have some gold and silver on hand.
- 2:49I don't care whether it's for asset protection from inflation,
- 2:52economic turmoil, or it's unique utility for barter and trade.
- 2:56The prepper bar is unique as you can snap off a small piece if
- 2:59your credit cards aren't worrying if your cash is
- 3:01inaccessible or maybe it's under attack.
- 3:03We know BRICS nations want to undermine the US dollar.
- 3:06This makes a perfect gift and a great way to diversify your
- 3:10assets. Precious metal lovers love
- 3:13these. They've got them available in
- 3:14gold and silver. They're in stock right now.
- 3:16They're exclusively mined and minted in the US.
- 3:19They're selling out fast. And yes, they do come with an
- 3:22assay report. And you ask yourself why that's
- 3:25important Because there's lots of counterfeit gold coming out
- 3:27of India and China right now. They fit right in your wallet.
- 3:30They're very slim. This one's in a plastic case.
- 3:32So don't let that fool you. Head over to the bigmigbar.com.
- 3:35That's right, thebigmigbar.com. Use all caps prepper for 10% off
- 3:41on the silver, 5% off on the gold.
- 3:44Thebigmigbar.com. Dragged me off a piece of that
- 3:49prepper bar. Yeah, I knew that was coming.
- 3:52Thankfully, we don't have George doing the Jingle.
- 3:54I think we were suppressing sales.
- 3:56And don't forget that QR code is there.
- 3:58Take a snapshot. You can use it later, but don't
- 4:00leave now because you don't want to miss even one minute of this
- 4:02interview. Yeah, George, I did take a low
- 4:04blow kind of cheap shot. That's what the kids from.
- 4:06The Bronx, me off a piece of that prepper bar.
- 4:10Dean, that was not an audition for a singing part of your new
- 4:13movies. I he well, he can get it for a
- 4:16for a, for a bad singing part. I can get that too.
- 4:19I'll give. I'll tell you what, George, I'm
- 4:21I'm even worse. I'll take it.
- 4:23Yeah, I Can't Sing either. My dad sung.
- 4:25My dad was actually on. He was a big deal in in the
- 4:30Broadway. He was in a bunch of the Rodgers
- 4:33and Hammerstein stuff. He actually played Curly in
- 4:35Oklahoma, which was one of their big ones years ago.
- 4:38He was also the Chesterfield man and he and he sang opera.
- 4:42He had a great voice. He did not pass any of that
- 4:45through through to me though. Didn't get it all.
- 4:49Well, listen, I noticed on your feet and I, even though this
- 4:52isn't Memorial Day, of course, where a couple days later Tom
- 4:55McDonald did a song. We have this thing we do, Dean,
- 4:57on the show called Set the Mood. Let's kick it off, George.
- 5:00I just thought we played Tom McDonald's song that he kind of
- 5:03did a shout out for veterans and their families for Memorial Day.
- 5:06And I saw Dean had posted this on his social media, as had I.
- 5:09So let's run it there. We go.
- 5:12It's a time to remember the ones who we lost, the fathers and
- 5:15sons, the mothers and daughters who went overseas and bought so
- 5:18we could be free. Believe it or not, they dying
- 5:20for peace, they dying for speech.
- 5:21They died in the streets of the Middle East.
- 5:23They left the family at home and picked up a gun and stormed the
- 5:25beach. I see a problem.
- 5:27We've forgotten the fallen. Nobody works on Mondays.
- 5:31We celebrate and pop bottles while there's soldiers in the
- 5:33dirt and they all got families who were hurt and the cost of
- 5:36freedom is a person. They died, so we ain't speaking
- 5:38German. So eat your burgers and drink
- 5:40your beers, relax, enjoy your day.
- 5:42There were funerals and a million tears so we could live
- 5:44our lives this way. There were widowed wives and the
- 5:47children's eyes who won't see their dads again.
- 5:49It's a holiday for the fallen. Don't say happy Memorial Day.
- 6:12Great song. Yeah, it was a great song.
- 6:15You know, I I really like the music he's produced.
- 6:17It's one thing that's great about people in movies and, you
- 6:21know, singers and artists, they get an opportunity to say things
- 6:24where we get suppressed. We're still suspended over on
- 6:27YouTube for putting out CDCS and VARES information.
- 6:31You guys get to convey a message.
- 6:32But I want to run through your bio real quick, Dean, and then
- 6:35we'll get started. You know, you're an actor,
- 6:37producer, writer. You're a former professional
- 6:39athlete, which I did not know, best known for your iconic role
- 6:42as Superman in the hit 1990s television series.
- 6:46But you have done an incredible amount of work.
- 6:48You're also in the new adventure of Superman.
- 6:51You got your education at Princeton University, which I
- 6:53did not know that about you. You graduated All American
- 6:56Football star. You signed with the Buffalo
- 6:58Bills and then a knee injury comes into play which ended your
- 7:02professional career. Over the past three decades, you
- 7:06appeared in over and This is Wrong.
- 7:08This said, 100 films, it's over 200 films and many of them which
- 7:12I love about you. They're strong, faith-based,
- 7:14patriotic and family oriented themes.
- 7:17And beyond acting, you became a powerful voice for the speech,
- 7:20traditional values, and American ideals.
- 7:22Your ex account. I love the way you post and the
- 7:25way you chime in. There's quite a few actors
- 7:27online that I follow. You're one of them.
- 7:28And it's because I actually believe in the message that
- 7:31you're relaying. You're devoted to raising your
- 7:34son and using your platform to advocate for truth, integrity,
- 7:37and personal responsibility. You're an outspoken figure in
- 7:40today's cultural landscape. I think you're really an icon
- 7:43and you're really, you've become such a strong leader in social
- 7:46media, which I can't say the same for many actors and
- 7:49actresses. And first of all, thanks for
- 7:52joining us today. And and I got to say, you know,
- 7:55you went from athlete to actor and you told me an interesting
- 7:58story a few minutes ago that you shared backstage.
- 8:00Maybe just share some of that in your version for the audience,
- 8:03because I'd love to hear how kind of the sudden end of your
- 8:06NFL dreams, which of course had been your your main identity
- 8:11besides being highly educated. And then all of a sudden, boom,
- 8:14you're an actor. Yeah, well, I grew up the son of
- 8:19a director. So my father, Christopher Kane,
- 8:22producer, directed Young Guns. You know, I was a huge hit.
- 8:26And it was all the kids that I grew up with.
- 8:28You know, I grew up with Sean Penn, Chris Penn, Rob Lowe,
- 8:32Charlie Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Holly Robinson.
- 8:35We all grew up together. And those guys started getting
- 8:37into film when I went off to college to be an athlete.
- 8:40And I had a wonderful career at Princeton.
- 8:42You know, it was, it was tough academically at 1st and it was a
- 8:45big adjustment coming from Malibu, CA, but it turned out
- 8:48great. My closest friends are still all
- 8:51those guys that I strapped on the helmets with and everything.
- 8:53And you really bond together and Princeton is a great does a
- 8:56great job of keeping their network together.
- 9:00Those are some of the closest friends of my life.
- 9:02Anytime any of them needs anything.
- 9:04I'd be on a plane tomorrow. So it's a wonderful thing to
- 9:07get. But I figured, OK, I get a shot
- 9:09at the NFLI. Was very happy to get to Buffalo
- 9:12was a great situation for me, but I got injured and that was
- 9:16it. So within about two months of
- 9:18graduating college, three months of graduating college, the two
- 9:21things that I did really well, we're done school and athletics.
- 9:25We're just finished. You're not going to make a a
- 9:28living playing football. It's not going to happen that
- 9:30you're you're my career ending injury.
- 9:33I made sure that was over. So I had to start over again.
- 9:36Very humbling after achieving so much at that, you know, ripe age
- 9:40of 22. And I decided that I was going
- 9:43to go into film. I decided that a while prior,
- 9:46but didn't know exactly sure, you know, wasn't exactly sure
- 9:48what I was going to do. I started as a writer.
- 9:50My dad pushed my writing and then I started to make some
- 9:54money as an actor, you know, doing commercials, doing things
- 9:57of that nature. And I was like, well, I'll make
- 9:58some money here and do this, but I pushed everything until I
- 10:01finally got my break on Lois and Clark.
- 10:03And that was incredible. You know when you play Superman
- 10:07and you're always called Superman for the rest of There's
- 10:11a reason that Superman has a dog, Crypto.
- 10:13Not not a cat. See a cat?
- 10:16They don't see the cat, but I'll put it back.
- 10:18Bella. Bella, the accidental cat
- 10:20decided to join. And she's got this thing lately
- 10:22where she wants to walk across my computer.
- 10:25She's here in the studio with us.
- 10:26And sometimes she's got in this way where she comes in.
- 10:28Yeah, that can be kind of disruptive.
- 10:31If she hits the wrong key and just shuts, everything shuts.
- 10:33Everything down. Yeah.
- 10:35So yeah. You hold a school record for
- 10:38most interceptions in in the season, right?
- 10:41I hold school, but I still hold 2 NCAA records, George.
- 10:45Now they're asterisks, if you will, because it's per game
- 10:48average. So in division, well, what they
- 10:51call now the Football Championship Subdivision, which
- 10:54used to be Division One AA. In a career, I had 22 episode, I
- 10:59had 22 interceptions in games, and then I had 12 interceptions
- 11:03in 1010 games my senior year. So each of those career
- 11:06averages, unless somebody broke it this last year, they still
- 11:10hold because we, we didn't get a lot of games.
- 11:13We, we couldn't play in the post season because we're in the Ivy
- 11:15League. We couldn't play as freshmen
- 11:17when I first got there in the on the varsity.
- 11:19So one whole year of my eligibility was gone.
- 11:22But you know, you don't go to Princeton to, to necessarily as
- 11:25a portal to the NFL. It worked out for a few of us,
- 11:28but it doesn't work out for that many.
- 11:30Yeah, but what a great education.
- 11:32Now you got your degree in history, Eastern philosophy and
- 11:36current events. I mean, that's that's not a very
- 11:38typical intellectual path. Not that I'm critiquing actors
- 11:42in general, but that's really interesting.
- 11:44And it seems like that kind of probably gave you a really big
- 11:47worldview. Did that kind of influence what
- 11:50kind of roles or the direction? You know, when you got done and
- 11:52said, OK, I've got a reset, no NFL and now I'm going to go down
- 11:57a different path. Was that part of the kind of
- 11:59like this is the way I want to go because people tried to push
- 12:01you in One Direction? Yeah, not at the beginning.
- 12:04At the beginning I just wanted to pay my rent.
- 12:06I just wanted to get off my dad's dole and be like, all
- 12:08right, I'm going to I'm going to take take up for myself.
- 12:11Dad, I had some of the NFL money.
- 12:12So I the NFL money back then in 1988 is not what the NFL money
- 12:17is now. So it wasn't much.
- 12:18I had a $9 million signing bonus or anything like that.
- 12:22I was an undrafted free agent out of Princeton.
- 12:24I had basically the league minimum, which wasn't a whole
- 12:27lot, but I was super excited to be there and that was great.
- 12:30So I didn't think that this, you know, you don't start your whole
- 12:33plan off. At least I didn't, I was just
- 12:35trying to go day by day figure it out.
- 12:36I'd write, I'd try to get acting jobs as a, as a, in commercials
- 12:40or whatever I could get. And I'll just, you know, I'll,
- 12:43I'll pay my dues. And that's what my thought
- 12:45process was as I did, you know, better and better and was able
- 12:50to, to make more, more projects and, and be able to produce
- 12:53projects and things. That's really where my history
- 12:55degree came in and my, my, I took my comprehensive exams in
- 12:59war and diplomacy. Love that stuff.
- 13:03Wish I had. There's a few roles I didn't
- 13:06take for various reasons because my son was born in 2000 and I
- 13:10ended up in a custody dispute and I couldn't leave.
- 13:12I couldn't do things. One of them that broke my heart
- 13:14was Band of brothers. I would have been in that and it
- 13:18would have, it's just, and that was a great movie, great the
- 13:21whole series. And I just, it just breaks my
- 13:23heart that I couldn't do that. But I, I became a father when my
- 13:26son, you know, in 2000 and that changed my entire life outside
- 13:30of everything. Then I became the priority 100%
- 13:33and and still is. Yeah, I was primarily, you know,
- 13:36my daughter was extremely young when I split up with my ex.
- 13:39We weren't married. It was my girlfriend at the
- 13:41time. She was only six months old.
- 13:43So it became a top priority for me.
- 13:45So that impacted a lot of the things I was doing, you know, so
- 13:48of course you make decisions. And I think it was the right
- 13:51decision, you know, to, to, to raise her.
- 13:53My mom gave me a lot of help, but being a single dad is always
- 13:56more complicated. But it brings with a lot of
- 13:59trials and tribulations. So my ex and I were OK.
- 14:03I can't see. We were fantastic, but it was
- 14:04reasonable. It wasn't like some other people
- 14:06had gone through. What was your let me ask you
- 14:08this, What was your first role? What was the first one you
- 14:11actually got that? I'm sure that was the one you
- 14:12got. Hey, I got a part.
- 14:13What was the first one? Was it commercial?
- 14:15What was it? Well, I got a couple roles
- 14:18through having known some people, I guess because my dad
- 14:20was in the business. So I can't really count.
- 14:22I'm not going to count those, but I remember getting sort of
- 14:25my first commercial. And the The funny thing is, so
- 14:29you spend this time, I got a Princeton, I've been all
- 14:31American football player. I play for the Buffalo Bills.
- 14:34I got all this cachet right way to go.
- 14:36And now they like you and George and Lance, you guys stand up
- 14:40here, take off your shirts, eat some Doritos and pretend you're
- 14:43at a party. And that's the audition.
- 14:45Like, man, I did all this for that.
- 14:49But you know, there was rumors. I don't know if it's true or
- 14:52not. Brad Pitt was the, you know,
- 14:54Chick-fil-A chicken and who knows?
- 14:56Whatever the you know, whatever it.
- 14:57Is, you know, I, I don't have any kind of career with yours.
- 15:00I had a lot of crappy acting. I did.
- 15:02My first role I ever got was in a Coors commercial and I
- 15:06remember them telling me I had to trace a trade a case of Coors
- 15:09beer for a a very very high end stereo system and I remember I
- 15:16thought I didn't get the role to be honest with you.
- 15:18Can I understand the cashing agent?
- 15:19I'm going to trade this 10 or $15 case of Coors or $8 whatever
- 15:22the hell it is for a obviously a multi $1000 stereo system.
- 15:27That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard of.
- 15:31And I thought for sure I'd burn the interview, but they gave it
- 15:34to me for whatever reason, maybe because they agreed with me.
- 15:36But I remember doing it and thinking this is the dumbest
- 15:38commercial I've ever heard that anybody would want to do it.
- 15:41And I ended up getting it. But it was kind of like you
- 15:43said, you run around. I was in pretty good shape at
- 15:45the time, you know, and they wanted to be, you know, wear
- 15:47wear a tight T-shirt. I was supposed to be this
- 15:49college guy that was partying and I wanted to trade this case
- 15:52of beer. And you know, anyway, one of
- 15:54those things that was a national.
- 15:58Those nationals paid pretty well.
- 15:59You go to the mailbox and those checks just kept coming in.
- 16:04Four years of that, my friend, That's what I made.
- 16:06That's how I made a living for four years until I got.
- 16:09Well, man, and that's big. That really skyrocketed you.
- 16:12You. There isn't anybody that didn't
- 16:13watch you as Superman. You know, I watched it in the
- 16:1690s. I loved it.
- 16:18And that really made you a household name.
- 16:20But you know, I have to ask you, of course, with that, there had
- 16:23to be a lot of pressure and responsibility.
- 16:26You're paying this really what I would consider a top level
- 16:29Marvel character. Everybody, you know, everybody
- 16:31knew Superman. You know, did you find yourself
- 16:33constantly getting well, he's not good enough as Superman or
- 16:36he's was there this constant critique?
- 16:38Oh, I don't know. He's not buffed enough.
- 16:40Maybe he needs to be bigger. Well, there's was there a lot of
- 16:42that crap going on? I was always.
- 16:43Curious about that? Well, fortunately it was DC.
- 16:46DC Comics, not Marvel. DC.
- 16:48That's right. I'm sorry, DC.
- 16:49Does the Marvel guys get mad, that sort of thing?
- 16:51Yeah. No, there wasn't a whole lot.
- 16:53So the Internet hadn't really done its thing yet.
- 16:56So there was no real big social media world.
- 16:59There wasn't this, this, this, the attacks that you get now
- 17:03that it was in its infancy in 93 when the show came out.
- 17:06But I do remember, because I'm Japanese.
- 17:08I'm a quarter Japanese. My given name is Tanaka.
- 17:11My mom remarried when I was four.
- 17:13Yeah, my brother was 6, and we became Kane.
- 17:15And I remember people saying with the funniest comment that
- 17:20I, my brother brought to my attention, he said that this
- 17:23person posted online again in its infancy, wrote we wanted
- 17:27Superman, not sushi man. We.
- 17:31We. Laughed to this day.
- 17:35That's crazy. But it's like that, right?
- 17:39I mean, yeah, yeah. Can eat you.
- 17:42Exactly. But I think, you know, at the
- 17:44end of the day, you did an amazing job.
- 17:46You know, people loved you. You know, I saw the great
- 17:48reviews even back then. And of course you got it.
- 17:52It just went on and on and on. So it was really, it was really
- 17:54a ground breaking, you know, piece of work.
- 17:57And I think a lot of people loved you for what you did in
- 17:59that. But you know what, I want I said
- 18:01to you backstage, and I want to say it to the audience, you
- 18:03know, for anybody that doesn't know Hollywood, it's pretty.
- 18:06There's definitely on everyone one of those sets.
- 18:07There's a lot of creepiness and darkness going on.
- 18:11And you know, you have done an amazing job where you really
- 18:15consistently have taken roles. You've never, you know, strayed
- 18:18from your faith. You've always been pro America.
- 18:21You all your, you know, all the films you've directed are value
- 18:24driven, you know, and you distance yourself from so much.
- 18:27And we're seeing, you know, I think I think for the first time
- 18:30the audience may be getting it because of the Diddy stuff.
- 18:32You know, George, you and I have talked about Diddy and how many
- 18:35people are involved. Truth is, there's just as many
- 18:37people involved in the Epstein scenario and Hollywood's like
- 18:41that. I remember being on Father
- 18:43Dowling and I remember being on there with, with Perry Mason on
- 18:48those sets. And Perry Mason, I, I didn't
- 18:51know that the, the lead actor, I didn't know he was gay.
- 18:54And I remember he was coming out between takes and he had this
- 18:56little skinny blonde twink that I guess was his boyfriend that
- 18:59would come out and sit on his lap.
- 19:01And I was kind of creeped out by the whole process.
- 19:04How did you do? I mean, clearly it's because of
- 19:07your integrity, but how are you able to not get, you know,
- 19:10sucked into that vortex? Because it's it's powerful out
- 19:13there. It is I, I think maybe because I
- 19:16didn't, maybe because I was an athlete.
- 19:18You know, I even go back and when I was a kid, you know,
- 19:20there were drugs around. People were smoking marijuana,
- 19:23taking Quaaludes like they did back in the day or this or that
- 19:25or the other thing. Nobody did it around me because
- 19:28I didn't do it and they feel like that.
- 19:30He doesn't, he's not part of that.
- 19:32Just don't even don't even bring it up to Dean.
- 19:34Just leave it alone. Whatever.
- 19:35I never saw it. I it was there, I guess, but I
- 19:37never saw it the same thing there.
- 19:39It's like someone's not going to come up to me and be like, you
- 19:41know, I mean, I'm pretty, I wear my heart on my sleeve.
- 19:43It's pretty clear how I feel, you know, about things and I'm
- 19:47willing to tell people and I'm not going to judge others.
- 19:49That's just not what I do and that's OK.
- 19:51They wouldn't bring the the little twink to sit on my lap or
- 19:54anything like that. Plus I had Teri Hatcher sitting
- 19:57on my lap which is pretty good. Yeah, that was actually really
- 19:59good. They just like, you know, that
- 20:02kind of thing wasn't, it didn't interest me.
- 20:04It wasn't something that I was interested in at all.
- 20:06And I think they sort of gauge it.
- 20:07They like, you know, maybe I can get this guy.
- 20:09I can get this guy. But having grown up in the
- 20:11business, having known so many people, seen the mistakes that
- 20:15Sean Penn made, see the mistakes that Chris Penn made, see the
- 20:17mistakes that Rob Lowe made, I was like getting Charlie Sheen.
- 20:20I'm like, I'm not making those mistakes.
- 20:22I'm not doing that stuff. It's not part of who I am.
- 20:25All all still good friends of mine, all of them, but not, not
- 20:29the stuff that I would do. And I but I didn't do it even
- 20:31back then. I just, it's maybe it's because
- 20:34my father came in my life and was a very, really, my dad's a
- 20:37farm boy from South Dakota and he, you know, I, I caught the
- 20:41belt a few times. I deserve the belt.
- 20:43You too, huh? Yeah.
- 20:45Yeah, I deserved it. There was no question I would
- 20:47think. It was the IT was the wood
- 20:48spoon, the dog leash and the fly swatter in my house.
- 20:51I had many a wood spoon broken on me back then.
- 20:53But, you know, I think that Bill character.
- 20:55I think. The way they handle these kids
- 20:57now with some of the stuff that's going on in TikTok, it
- 20:59just isn't there. And that's, you know, I got to
- 21:01ask you this, is there any particular one life event off
- 21:04camera otherwise that kind of changed your perspective
- 21:07forever? That kind of helped you involve
- 21:09into the guy that you are now, the guy that we see on social
- 21:12media, the guy that we see through the kind of movies
- 21:14you're involved in. Is there anything particular
- 21:16that really kind of forged you? You know, I had these values and
- 21:20these morals and these ideals from the very beginning.
- 21:23I remember a kid in high school who wrote who drew this picture
- 21:26of a guy struggling, a fit guy struggling with a backpack on
- 21:29and weights and holding the American flag and struggling to
- 21:32stand up because it was. And it said, like #1 on it, like
- 21:36struggling for that, that ideal that is America to me.
- 21:41I remember thinking that even in high school, junior high school,
- 21:44I was like, yes, that's me. That's what I believe in.
- 21:47That's what I want. But what really changed things
- 21:49for me about speaking out and doing things was when my son was
- 21:52born in 2000, that it changed my whole world, my life, faith.
- 21:56Everything changed with that child.
- 21:59But I also had to fight a custody case for my son when he
- 22:02was 18 months old. I sued for joint custody because
- 22:04his mother wasn't letting me see him.
- 22:06All sorts of other issues. We've since gotten through that,
- 22:09but it took me 14 months and over almost $2,000,000 in cash
- 22:14to win joint custody and to see how ridiculous that process was
- 22:19when the attorneys knew how much money I had that I could burn
- 22:23through. They limited what I could do,
- 22:25what jobs I could take. They used my job and my work
- 22:28against me because I wouldn't be there for the child if I have to
- 22:31go make a movie. It's why I turned down Band of
- 22:34Brothers and other things. So it's, it's, it's that sort of
- 22:37thing really ticked me off when I saw how poor father's rights
- 22:42were. But I also was the beneficiary
- 22:45of a father in my life who stepped in and adopted me.
- 22:48And I know how much his guidance meant to me.
- 22:52And there was no way that I wasn't going to be a father to
- 22:55my son. So that that made me start
- 22:58talking about the politics of it, saying this is unfair for
- 23:00fathers and looking at other things and voicing what I
- 23:03thought were valid opinions on things.
- 23:06And, and again, I don't judge other people, you know, leave
- 23:10the kids alone. I don't care if you're 35 years
- 23:11old and you wanted to wear a dress, go ahead.
- 23:13But don't. Don't indoctrinate the kids.
- 23:16Don't put that them. I, I think everybody should
- 23:20deserve to make their own choices, but it's the way
- 23:21they're doing the grooming. It's becoming extremely
- 23:24sophisticated. We see it on a lot of the
- 23:26networks. You know, I, my wife and I, when
- 23:28we're watching TV sometimes like up here comes the transgender or
- 23:32here comes up, here comes the bisexual couple.
- 23:34We knew that was coming. At the end of the day, you you
- 23:37tune in and you don't expect that you're just tuning in for
- 23:39some normal watching because I'll have stuff running in the
- 23:41background, whether it's documentaries and other
- 23:43information as I'm working on our different shows, but it's
- 23:46really kind of telling. Me the question for him, yeah.
- 23:48So you were, you were adopted and you're from my and you lived
- 23:51in Idaho in the beginning. Yeah, I was adopted.
- 23:55I lived in California. My mom, I have my biological
- 23:58mother. My dad stepped into my life in
- 24:00Hollywood when I was four years old, three years old.
- 24:04He was from Idaho. But Idaho, No, he was from South
- 24:06Dakota. I'm a reserve police officer in
- 24:09Idaho and my father's, my biological father's side of the
- 24:13family was interred at Minidoka in the Japanese internment camp
- 24:18in World War 2, which is about 45 minutes from where I serve as
- 24:21an officer. I still never made it over
- 24:22there. Somebody sent me that
- 24:24information. So I'm dying to go over there
- 24:25one day and and that's. Crazy.
- 24:27That was a dark page in our history here in the United
- 24:30States. The internment camps.
- 24:31George, go ahead. You had a question I don't want.
- 24:33To no no because I heard adoption in Idaho's father and
- 24:35it almost like he was made for Superman in the movie because
- 24:38you know he was adopted in a in a.
- 24:40In Kansas, but Kansas. But it's true though, George,
- 24:44your point is 100% valid because my dad is a South Dakota farm
- 24:47boy and he imbued those values upon me.
- 24:51Which is why when I say truth, justice in the American way, I
- 24:54believe it 100% because the American way to me is those
- 24:59small Midwestern values. The ideas of the individual, the
- 25:04idea of the ability to compete fairly without the government
- 25:07putting their finger too hard on the scale.
- 25:09The idea that you can work your pass off, achieve and achieve a
- 25:13level of success that you want to be able to pass down to your
- 25:16family and be wealthy, bless you for that.
- 25:18That's the American dream. That's what people come here
- 25:20for, the blind justice. And when I, when DC let truth
- 25:25justice the American way, they let that go.
- 25:28They lost their trademark on that.
- 25:31I'm happy to pick up that mantle any and every time.
- 25:34Vitto. You know, I just have to ask
- 25:37this because, you know, we've been attacked.
- 25:38When George and I decided to do this show, we were already on
- 25:40social media and I, you know, I recognize what was going on in
- 25:44the country. I'd worked for the government
- 25:46years ago and I kind of knew that there was plenty of
- 25:48corruption. I'd worked as a government
- 25:49contractor and Halliburton, Blackwater United Defense, Sabre
- 25:54G4 SI, worked around the globe in a lot of different locations,
- 25:57training people in CQB tactics, hand to hand techniques, that
- 26:01sort of thing. And I'd seen a lot of corruption
- 26:03internally, you know, but we've been one of the things I told
- 26:06George and we both agreed to is we would never sell our
- 26:08integrity or morality. There are some deals out there.
- 26:12They've they've been offered to us to try to shut us up.
- 26:15We were offered out of an agency out of Chicago, some pretty
- 26:17significant money about a year and a half ago.
- 26:19We turned it down because I felt like they wanted to control the
- 26:22narrative, you know, knowing that you're both a director and
- 26:25an actor. How much direct backlash have
- 26:27you faced from the industry? Because let's face it, people
- 26:31like Weinstein and others, they're very judge mental.
- 26:34They want to be able to control the actors and actresses in
- 26:36their envelope. And you know, of course the
- 26:40sponsors that are involved, the investors are involved.
- 26:43Have you faced a lot of that or have you been able to basically
- 26:45stay outside of that because you you're, you're basically a
- 26:48really well-rounded guy that has the ability to produce movies
- 26:51and otherwise? Well, I did.
- 26:53I have that ability and that has helped me a lot.
- 26:55But Hollywood is full of cowards.
- 26:57Nobody will tell you right up front that this is what it's
- 27:00about. They won't say that.
- 27:01Listen, I don't like your political views, so you're out.
- 27:04You're I'm a sworn deputy sheriff.
- 27:06They'll be like, I don't like that, that you're actually a
- 27:08real officer. I don't like that.
- 27:11So you know, they don't have that.
- 27:12They don't have the nuts to say that and they won't say that.
- 27:15You know, they don't like my faith-based films.
- 27:17They won't say that. It'll be something like, you
- 27:19know, I'll have them come look at my film little angels.
- 27:21It's coming out and they'll they'll come in and they'll say,
- 27:24hey, we love it. It's great, wonderful.
- 27:26We'll we'll make an offer on it tomorrow.
- 27:28And this happened to me to this particular company and I was
- 27:30like, great, here we go. And it was a company I wanted to
- 27:33work with. And then the next day I called
- 27:35to make the deal and they said it's over.
- 27:38And so that sort of quiet blacklisting, that kind of quiet
- 27:43turning the back on you exists completely.
- 27:46And anybody who is come out and spoken, you know, into the to
- 27:52the affirmative in the conservative sort of world or
- 27:54make faith-based movies gets turned into outcasts.
- 27:57And that happens all the time. But they don't say it that way.
- 28:00However, when people watch movies, like if people go watch
- 28:03little angels and say, well, this is like Mighty Ducks, we
- 28:06love it and family start going, then, then I'm even less I'm I'm
- 28:11even more immune to to that that stuff coming out of the the
- 28:15studios and from people like a Harvey Weinstein who never hired
- 28:19me by the way, which is the whole point he.
- 28:21Wouldn't hire. Yeah.
- 28:22And while we're talking about Little Angels, let's just jump
- 28:25into it really quickly. It's your most recent film.
- 28:27I know it's going to be available June 6.
- 28:31George, I don't know if you want to grab that short trailer clip,
- 28:34but basically this is it's it's about you, a hotshot college
- 28:38football coach. You're suspended and sentenced
- 28:40to community service. You're forced to coach a ragtag
- 28:43girls soccer team, learning humility, teamwork and personal
- 28:47growth along the way. Let let's.
- 28:50George, let's play the clip. I think we've got it there at
- 28:52the bottom. I can throw that up.
- 28:53Yeah. And the poster.
- 28:54Yeah. So.
- 28:55And then I want you to comment on this because, again, since
- 28:57we're on it, we want to talk about it.
- 28:58Where is it going to be available in movie theaters
- 29:01nationwide? Theaters on June 6.
- 29:03You can go to Little Angels movie.com and it'll and check
- 29:07for theaters in your area. All right, it's great.
- 29:09Let's play the clip, George. And that's the reason the United
- 29:12States is a constitutional Federal Republic and not a pure
- 29:15democracy, because pure democracy is just mob rule.
- 29:18It's like 2 wolves and a lamb deciding what's for dinner.
- 29:20It's always going to be the lamb, yeah.
- 29:21Nice burritos, Diablo, Sal listo all.
- 29:24Right. Hey, coach, what is for dinner?
- 29:25Carne asada con frijoles tiaros OK.
- 29:33Come on. So I get the reject in time out,
- 29:37time out. There's no time outs in soccer.
- 29:42Get off the field. Coach Yeah, we got the website
- 29:46up right here so everybody can see it too.
- 29:47Little Angels, movie.com. Yeah.
- 29:49It looks great, looks funny. You know, at the end of the day,
- 29:51I love the impromptu constitutional education.
- 29:55Most people, you know, we were showing.
- 29:57The film. I wrote the film, so you know, I
- 29:59put that in there. Yeah, and I love it.
- 30:01I love that it's got a message. We talk about.
- 30:03I don't know if you've ever seen.
- 30:04We had a gentleman that writes books.
- 30:05He's been highly successful. It's the What's Britfield
- 30:09series. And he kind of ties in the
- 30:11reality of what's true, what isn't true.
- 30:14It's an educational series. He's done hot really well.
- 30:16He's going to, he's going, he's actually in development on
- 30:18movies right now to bring the series out.
- 30:20But it's interesting when you talk about what the truth is
- 30:24about how our founders and framers created this country,
- 30:27how many people are confused about calling it a democracy
- 30:31when it's really a sovereign republican.
- 30:33Of course it's, you know, it was created in such a way that it
- 30:35wasn't supposed to end up like a monarchy.
- 30:38But we got a uniparty in DC. That's very clear at this point
- 30:41that it's all David Copperfield when it comes to the smoke and
- 30:44mirrors. It's a sleight of hand.
- 30:46You know, one group actively destroying us, the other group
- 30:48saying they're going to fix it and we're going to have another
- 30:51hearing or another committee. We're going to subpoena people
- 30:54and then nothing happens. George, let's go on here.
- 30:58So let's talk about the injury. You know a lot of up.
- 31:02I know that means we got to take a short break 1st and come back.
- 31:06We're going to be talking about reinvention here on the Big Mig
- 31:08with Dean Cain. Don't go anywhere.
- 31:11Short break. I'll be back.
- 31:13Lance Miatra and George Ballantine is tip of the spear
- 31:16and we're doing it. We're going to do it.
- 31:17Talk about fatherhood and all kinds of other stuff.
- 31:19You definitely don't want to miss a word of this.
- 31:21Dean Cain, actor, director, icon.
- 31:25You'll be right back. Don't go flying away on us,
- 31:28We'll be right back. Here got a lot of super details
- 31:30for a super show because. There ain't no doubt I love this

- 37:17I like his value. System.
- 37:18I like his beliefs. I don't know if he's back or
- 37:21not. Hopefully we're going to have
- 37:22him on on Friday. Because he like, he, he misses,
- 37:25he loves the banter we give him, you know, because.
- 37:27Yeah, we're joke around a lot. Yeah, besides the fact that
- 37:29everybody. From England, gets that
- 37:30California. You know, everybody, when you
- 37:33put anybody on from England on this show, they immediately
- 37:36assume that they all went to Cambridge or Oxford and they're
- 37:38just geniuses. Because, you know, that accent
- 37:40makes you sound like you're the smartest guy on the planet here.
- 37:44A couple of kids from New York or the Bronx, they're like,
- 37:46okay, well this is dumb ass. Maybe he can tell me how to cook
- 37:49eggplant. I think that's about it.
- 37:52I spent like 3 weeks in California for like a school or
- 37:55class and the people out there just they don't have no sense of
- 37:58humor. Just a long time ago, they
- 37:59didn't know what to do with me, they thought.
- 38:01I was offending them, I explained.
- 38:02Them No, I'm just just being sarcastic.
- 38:05Like what's I, I. Left.
- 38:06I left California and went right to Jersey for college.
- 38:08So I've known a a couple of folks like you, George.
- 38:11I've got that sense of humor and I appreciate it, and they're my
- 38:14closest friends in the world. Yeah, You know, sarcasm is a
- 38:18second language. Of course.
- 38:19It really toughens you as a kid, you know, because we're all
- 38:21chopping on each other all day. That's all you did as a kid in
- 38:24New York. I grew up in Fordham Rd. in the
- 38:26Bronx. So it was just natural for us to
- 38:28just cut on each other. But the problem is, George is
- 38:31right. Even here, I'm in Colorado, the
- 38:32socialist state of Colorado, I'm afraid to say.
- 38:35And I've got to tell you, it's difficult because people
- 38:37sometimes, you know, I'm saying something and they the sarcasm,
- 38:40I get these looks and I'm like, all right, listen, we won't
- 38:42shave any puppies bellies today. We'll just move on from here.
- 38:47Just they, they look at me like I'm out of my mind.
- 38:49It's not easy. Some guys get me a lot of them.
- 38:52Don't you know, man, I want to go in.
- 38:54George, let's jump in. I'm going to let you go.
- 38:56Take the lead here. This is, you know, everybody.
- 38:58A lot of people always have a life changing moment.
- 39:00They deal with strategy. I mean, death, injury, whatever
- 39:04it may be. So you had a career ending
- 39:06injury. You know, you spent your, your
- 39:08career spanning sports, entertainment and activism, but
- 39:12you got hurt in your first, I'm going to say it's your first
- 39:15love playing football, right? And making it to the NFL.
- 39:18That's why everybody, a lot of kids that play in college, they
- 39:20want to make it there. And you were there.
- 39:21You got injured at what? Like what drove you, what gave
- 39:25you the the energy to like to bounce back from that and just
- 39:30strive? What would you injure?
- 39:33Your knee? My knee, my right knee, I lost
- 39:35my lateral meniscus and I blew off all the cartilage on the
- 39:38femoral head and I had bone on bone.
- 39:40And it was worse than we thought when it happened.
- 39:42But I'll tell you what it was. You know, my dad said it early
- 39:45on to me. He said because I ran hurdles
- 39:46and stuff. I ran track, I played baseball,
- 39:49I played volleyball, I played everything.
- 39:50My dad said your greatest asset is the your unwavering optimism.
- 39:56He said, you know, when I was running hurdles, Ronaldo
- 39:58Nehemiah was the world champion. And I love Ronaldo like Edwin
- 40:01Moses, I loved him too. And they were just amazing.
- 40:04But my dad said if you lined up with Ronaldo Nehemiah for the
- 40:07110 highs, you honestly believe you might have a shot.
- 40:12And I'm like, well, he might get a bad start.
- 40:14He could hit a couple hurdles. I don't know.
- 40:16He's like, but that's The thing is that you believe you might
- 40:19get there. And something about that is, is
- 40:23is wonderful. He said keep it.
- 40:25Keep it, keep it, keep it. And coaches and players and
- 40:29people always try to tear you down.
- 40:31It's the same thing in my business as an actor.
- 40:33They're always trying to tear you down.
- 40:35They're always coming after you. Just you got to have that thick
- 40:37skin and move on. I think it also helps that I was
- 40:40wasn't that smart. So I thought, you know what, I'm
- 40:43not done. I'm going to come back.
- 40:45I just believed that I would make it back.
- 40:47I was probably in the third year of Lois and Clark, you know, 29
- 40:52years old before I realized for real.
- 40:55I'm not going to go back to the NFL.
- 40:56That's over. Wow, but it's but it's, but
- 41:00it's, but it's crazy, right That that you know, that
- 41:03perseverance. You just like, like you said a
- 41:05minute ago, George and I get attacked a lot.
- 41:07Of course, when you're over the target and, and whenever you're
- 41:09doing alternative, I call investigative journalism or
- 41:12whatever you want to define what we do.
- 41:14You know, we get death threats in our emails.
- 41:16We come out with a story and some people are very angry.
- 41:19It's how you respond to that as a kid from New York and George,
- 41:22of course, also being from New York and New Jersey, you know,
- 41:25it takes, you can't get under ours.
- 41:26You know, you can talk a lot of shit.
- 41:28So even when I was trying out for parts, if I got some
- 41:30critique afterwards through my agent or what, otherwise I was
- 41:32like, God, whatever, like I'll get the next one.
- 41:36You know, the, the truth is a lot of that stuff really does
- 41:39help you because of course your upbringing and of course it
- 41:43sounds like your father's influence and, and being in
- 41:45sports, you just recognize you can't harbor that stuff.
- 41:49You have to move on quickly if you want to be successful.
- 41:52Also faith, because God gives his toughest battles to his
- 41:55strongest soldiers. Yeah, no doubt.
- 41:58And about faith, The funny thing is, you know, there's times, and
- 42:00I say this to people often, it's like you sit there and you're
- 42:03like, man, I need strength. God, please give me strength for
- 42:07this. And God doesn't just necessarily
- 42:09give you strength. He gives you the ability to show
- 42:12your strength and earn your strength.
- 42:14And that's just it. He's not going to solve your
- 42:16problem for you, but He'll give you that obstacle to overcome.
- 42:20You know, if it's faith, if it's money, whatever it is that
- 42:24you're struggling with, God isn't necessarily going to just
- 42:26solve it for you, but he'll give you that opportunity where you
- 42:29have to say, OK, I get it. I'm getting you.
- 42:32I want strength and you're giving me the opportunity to be
- 42:34strong. I will be strong now.
- 42:36Yeah. And I think it's how you hone
- 42:38those tools you're given, right? You're given these gifts.
- 42:41It depends on how you perfect them.
- 42:43That knowledge base or that really resilience, it comes from
- 42:46those battles. You know, you have often said
- 42:49that being a father is your most important role.
- 42:53Custody battles are never easy. You became a, you know, a full
- 42:57time single dad, which I know what that's like.
- 42:59I had my mom to help me. I don't know how your family
- 43:02helped with what you were doing, but of course, you passed on
- 43:04some roles. Well, what I love, I was
- 43:07scraping your social media. Like I said, I was scrolling
- 43:09through in preparation for today's interview, just trying
- 43:12to get a feel. I watch your stuff all the time,
- 43:14so I see what you're posting regularly.
- 43:16There's quite There's a handful actors.
- 43:18I watch what they do simply because I enjoy.
- 43:20Like Neil McDonough. He was another one I enjoy.
- 43:22Yeah. I like what he has to say.
- 43:24I'm live. I also like the integrity of
- 43:26what he's what he's done in Hollywood, the same thing.
- 43:30And there's others, of course, I like Mel Gibson.
- 43:32He's always stood up for, you know, the right thing.
- 43:35He's never really folded. But you, you, we, I, I grabbed
- 43:39this photo and this is a picture of you praying at the exact spot
- 43:43where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and probably one of
- 43:48the one of the holiest sites on the planet, I think.
- 43:52How was that you did that with your son?
- 43:54I don't know. Tell me about the trip and maybe
- 43:56give us a little bit of details, a little insight.
- 43:58So that was one of the for me, one of the most amazing moments
- 44:02in my life, and it's why I have it as my pinned post on my ex
- 44:07bio is there is my my son was at a Christian high school, just
- 44:11graduated. We were, we were on a long trip
- 44:14going through a lot of, I do documentaries and I was doing
- 44:17some documentaries about at the time I'd done one about the
- 44:20Armenian Genocide. And then we were, we were in
- 44:23Armenia before this. Then we popped over to Jordan
- 44:26and then we went over to Israel and did a thing on anti-Semitism
- 44:30and we were going through all these historical sites and
- 44:32talking about things. But this is one of those
- 44:34advantages of going to Princeton.
- 44:36Ghazi bin Muhammad, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad of Jordan is, you
- 44:40know, his uncle is, is King Abdullah.
- 44:44I told Gazia we were coming in. We talked with him and worked
- 44:46out where we could come in and do some things.
- 44:48He is in charge of all cultural and religious affairs in Jordan.
- 44:52So he had discovered this baptism site.
- 44:57It's called baptismsite.com, I believe, and you can check it
- 44:59out, 'cause people have attacked me for it.
- 45:01That's that's where he was baptized.
- 45:03Where's the river? You know, it's been couple
- 45:06thousand years and the rivers been diverted and so on and so
- 45:09forth. So they went through all their
- 45:11archaeological stuff. The whole place was mined before
- 45:13they cleared it out and they figured out that this is where
- 45:17they believe that the baptism took place and The Cave for John
- 45:22the Baptist, all these places. So Prince Ghazi allowed us to go
- 45:26down there. He doesn't normally, they don't
- 45:28normally let people go down. But he said, and it's, and this
- 45:30is a guy who's been a friend of mine for 30 plus years.
- 45:33He's one of the foremost Muslim scholars in the world, Islam.
- 45:37He knows everything. And he's again the head of all
- 45:39cultural and religious affairs in Jordan, which is 80 percent,
- 45:4285% Palestinian. And he, he allowed us to go down
- 45:47there and he said, you know, if you and your son want to go down
- 45:49there for a second and take a moment, you know, go ahead.
- 45:51I was like, wow. So we went down there, my son
- 45:54and I and we, we went down there and said a nice, a nice prayer
- 45:58together. And it's one of those places
- 46:00that feels like the, the air is thin between heaven and earth.
- 46:06And it was just a truly amazing thing.
- 46:08And that's my favorite human being on the planet.
- 46:11And my boy there, and he still lives with me now, he graduated
- 46:15college and moved back in with me, which I'm very happy, happy
- 46:17about. And he's my best friend.
- 46:20And that was just one of the greatest moments ever to be able
- 46:22to share that with your children.
- 46:23Man, that's great it. Was unbelievable.
- 46:25Unbelievable. Really blessed that, but just
- 46:28question is, does he work with you?
- 46:29Is he in the industry? You know, what does he do?
- 46:32Does he's a he's, you know, like all the kids these days wants to
- 46:35be a YouTube or streamer, those things.
- 46:37But he he studied video game design in college at High Point
- 46:41University, which by the way, High Point University, a God
- 46:44family country school. Amazing.
- 46:48They do a heck of a job. You know, Georges shirt would
- 46:51not get get him shunned there people be like nice shirt, bro.
- 46:54That's the IT is a nice shirt. I got to be honest, you know, I
- 46:57wear my stuff, my Patriot stuff on planes, anywhere I go.
- 46:59Nobody says anything to me. It wouldn't, it wouldn't.
- 47:02It wouldn't be work in your favour anyway, so.
- 47:06Yeah, exactly. And I wear the same kind of
- 47:08stuff. Yeah, they're selective.
- 47:10They're selective about who they attack.
- 47:12Usually because of my size. I'm about, I don't know, I'm
- 47:15probably 240-5250 something 61. They usually don't have any
- 47:20comment on it. Usually they kind of give me an
- 47:23extra berth. But George is really vocal.
- 47:25He gets lots of swag. Of course, all the companies
- 47:27want to get the shirt on, but I, I think this is a great story.
- 47:30What a great moment. And fortunately, you had a
- 47:32photographer in the perfect position to take that shot
- 47:34because that is just an iconic image in itself.
- 47:38Did you? Did.
- 47:39You travel anywhere else besides there in Jordan when you were.
- 47:42Over here, all over in Jordan, we were in, we were, you know, I
- 47:45mean specifically in Jordan or outside or.
- 47:47Outside, because I mean, I've been to Israel.
- 47:49I was at, we were everywhere. The Carmelite Monastery, Church
- 47:53of Mount Carmel. I've been to a bunch of places.
- 47:55Nazareth. Yes, we didn't go to Nazareth.
- 47:58We didn't go to Bethlehem. We didn't go to Nazareth, but we
- 48:00were at, you know, we were at, we were at Petra, we were at the
- 48:03Wadi Rum desert. We, we camped outside in the,
- 48:06you know, with the Bedouins. We I was pretty.
- 48:09How was Petra like? I never been to Jordan over
- 48:11there, How is Petra? Petra is amazing.
- 48:13It's incredible to see. It's kind of just in the middle
- 48:15of freaking nowhere. I mean, you're driving along,
- 48:18you're like, man, wow. But and then if you go stay at
- 48:21one of the Bedouin camps, we stayed at the Wadi Rum, I can't
- 48:25remember the name of it, but it was amazing.
- 48:27We loved it. But it's where my son would tell
- 48:29you to this day, he had the best rice he's ever had.
- 48:32They were making a big old thing and it was just phenomenal in
- 48:34the way they were making the bread and it was just
- 48:36incredible. So Wadi, I mean, so, so going
- 48:39out to Petra is amazing. But I would say go to Wadi Rum
- 48:41as well. If we went all over Israel, we
- 48:43were, you know, we were up in Masada.
- 48:46We were, we were, you know, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
- 48:49We were all these different. We got to see incredible stuff.
- 48:53That was the greatest trip. If you ask my son that we've
- 48:56been all over the world. I've been to 5658 countries.
- 48:59My son's been to most of them with me.
- 49:01We've seen some crazy stuff all over, you know, whether it's
- 49:04Africa or Asia or wherever. We've been to most of these
- 49:07places. That trip to Jordan was his
- 49:10favorite trip ever. You know by that with Israel.
- 49:15I think that's. Incredible international travel.
- 49:18Just let me comment this international travel from all of
- 49:20us. I think it's such an eye opener.
- 49:22I think I've been to 71 countries now and I think it's
- 49:24important is just, there's just something to embrace in every
- 49:29one of these countries or something to be learned.
- 49:32And I think it really changes your perspective when you look
- 49:34at it as a political narrative. You start looking at the world
- 49:38in a different way. And I always hope that the
- 49:40unification of what happens around the globe, if we can stop
- 49:43these kinetic events, part of it is because people like us have
- 49:46travelled and you see the things from a different perspective.
- 49:48When you're on the ground, it's different than what you see in
- 49:51the media. So take it.
- 49:52From there George so yeah, when so when we're travelling through
- 49:54Israel, we actually went travelled to Lat where it's
- 49:57right on the border of Egypt it's like a vacation spot stay
- 50:00there then we drove into Egypt and we stayed a few nights there
- 50:03I mean first of all the sand is so hot you can't walk barefoot I
- 50:06don't know how it was by you but sleeping at night in these
- 50:08cement like huts it was so hot you like you can't breathe you
- 50:13just they. Sleep up.
- 50:15They sleep up on top. Yeah, it's in the roost.
- 50:18Yeah. Yeah, it's pretty Las Vegas.
- 50:21It gets hot out here, but I have this wonderful invention called
- 50:24air conditioning and I love it. Yeah, no kidding.
- 50:26You got to have that in your trailer.
- 50:28It doesn't matter where you're at.
- 50:29Literally when you order to beat like in Egypt, you walk in the
- 50:31sand. You can't walk barefoot.
- 50:33It's so hot it burns your feet of.
- 50:34Course, that's why if you. Look at a lot of people that
- 50:36live there, like especially like all those people, their feet
- 50:39just like so hard and it's just like they're so beat up from
- 50:42they're able to walk on it. You know, wearing a sandal.
- 50:46I love the food. My problem is I love the food
- 50:48maybe too much. That's the difficulty.
- 50:49You get into these different cultures and I like eating
- 50:52what's there. And I'm not very uneasy.
- 50:54I'm not one of those guys says, oh, only steak and potatoes.
- 50:56I'll try anything at least once, you know, and that and that when
- 51:00you go to these different places, it's interesting to
- 51:02really get entrenched in that. So but.
- 51:04You know, like people get the wrong perception about over
- 51:07there because from Israel to even down at the end of Egypt,
- 51:10I've been to Bahrain. The people are so welcoming.
- 51:14Like Bahrain. You have your like, you know,
- 51:16your City Park. But then if you go into town, we
- 51:19have just so like your, you know, they have the regular like
- 51:22simple stores. People make pottery and stuff.
- 51:24It's you have authentic food and it's just like the people they
- 51:28invite you, they're so welcoming.
- 51:30Don't invite your house and bring you coffee.
- 51:32I mean, I've got a place where they had bowls of cigarettes for
- 51:34people that just smoke cigarettes.
- 51:36They offer you cigarettes. It's crazy how they are you're.
- 51:37Like, here's a bowl of cigarettes for you.
- 51:39Yeah. They're so welcoming and so
- 51:41wonderful. It's true.
- 51:42And they don't hate Americans. No, I find most people love
- 51:45Americans. And they just, they they're
- 51:47curious about what it's like over in America, and they always
- 51:50aspire to go to America. That's my that's my 56 country
- 51:54experience. Yeah, no matter where I went to,
- 51:55I know. You know, but that's part of it,
- 51:57right? We, we know that the narratives
- 51:59are controlled. We see it with mainstream media.
- 52:01We covered that today, yesterday on our show, we were talking
- 52:05about how dangerous fake news is.
- 52:07And of course, we know that it's controlled because even when it
- 52:09comes to kinetic events, we never really hear the truth
- 52:11unless you're on the ground. And, you know, and it's
- 52:15interesting, I don't know if you ever saw that compilation.
- 52:17We played it on the show yesterday about it's a threat to
- 52:20our democracy. And you see all these, you know,
- 52:23clips from all these news agencies all put together where
- 52:25you can see that they were given the script.
- 52:27And they just did it recently with the Trump ambushing the
- 52:30South African president. It's an ambush.
- 52:32It's an ambush at the end of the day.
- 52:36You know, it's, you have, you really have expressed a lot of
- 52:39stuff about your traditional values, you know, religious
- 52:42freedoms, moral clarity. You know, you, you must see a
- 52:46ton of scripts. I'm sure everybody's trying to
- 52:47pitch you a script at one point or another.
- 52:49Do you find that that's helped you to really get to the scripts
- 52:54that are going to make a difference, whether they're
- 52:55going to, you know, whether they end up on Hallmark or maybe
- 52:57somewhere else? Do you feel like your values
- 53:00have enabled you to see clarity in the scripts that you say?
- 53:02This is an important script because I love the message.
- 53:06To some degree, yes, but and other ones.
- 53:09Some you make because it's a great action bit and it's
- 53:11entertaining. Or it's this or that or you play
- 53:13the bad guy. Like God's not dead.
- 53:15Playing the bad guy, the one completely irredeemable guy and
- 53:19gets no redemption whatsoever was great fun.
- 53:22But but you know, you got to choose, pick and choose.
- 53:24So I think a lot of those films and projects come to me now
- 53:28because because of my openness to it, because of my desire to
- 53:33want to make. I make this one company I work
- 53:35with called JC Films that makes a lot of lower budget, smaller
- 53:38faith-based movies because he he's trying to get people,
- 53:42Christian, young Christian film makers involved with the
- 53:44not-for-profit thing. I do eight of those a year
- 53:47probably for him. And and that's a wonderful thing
- 53:50to do to try to change the culture because Andrew
- 53:52Breitbart, who was a good friend of mine, I coached his kid back
- 53:56in the day when I was coaching my son in, in basketball and
- 53:59baseball and things of that nature.
- 54:01He says, you know, politics are downstream from culture before
- 54:04he passed. And he's right.
- 54:05And so if you were having these things, we were, we were
- 54:08playing, you know, these movies and doing these things.
- 54:10I can't tell you when I travel how many people stop me and
- 54:14thank me for making the kind and movies that I make, for speaking
- 54:18out about the positive things about America, for speaking out
- 54:22against, you know, women competing in men's sports and
- 54:25things of that nature are men. I'm sorry, men competing in
- 54:27women's sports. Women can go ahead and come and
- 54:29compete in men's sports, go ahead, but but having men
- 54:32compete in women's sports just wrong and stuff like that.
- 54:34I mean people tell thanking me constantly and I almost never.
- 54:39You get the opposite where someone says you know, hey I
- 54:41want to, I want to argue with you, go ahead please.
- 54:43If you have a better argument maybe you'll change my mind.
- 54:46I'll be honest. By country you I would thank you
- 54:48for the films you've done because I think they they all
- 54:51have merit. I think at the end of the day, I
- 54:53see a lot of stuff that's out there that in my opinion, it
- 54:55doesn't matter whether it's a big budget or otherwise.
- 54:57It's total garbage. I don't like the messages, I
- 55:00don't like the narratives, I don't like the lies.
- 55:03You see the messages, right? You're like sitting there
- 55:05watching and you're like, here they go.
- 55:07Here they go. Here it comes life.
- 55:09And I do that all the time. Oh, here it comes.
- 55:11Here's the weird, here's the weird twist.
- 55:15You know, recently, man, you, you, you got a Tesla.
- 55:17I congratulated you on that. How, how is that Tesla?
- 55:20And of course, you seem to be a tech guy, You know, you're, you
- 55:22seem to be all about AI and EVs. Kind of tell me, how's the new
- 55:26Tesla, man? How is it?
- 55:27First of all, it's my Dang kid because he's a tech head.
- 55:31So he was like, you know, dad, you know, we got to check this
- 55:33out. But I when Elon was getting all
- 55:35that heat, I, you know, I don't like, don't tell me I have to
- 55:38get an electric vehicle. Let me make that decision, make
- 55:41good ones and do whatever. Don't mandate it like California
- 55:44did. That ticked me off.
- 55:45So it made me anti this and anti that, but I don't want to be
- 55:48told what to do. I got my big Ford Raptor.
- 55:51I love it. It's great.
- 55:52Well, you know, and I got my Aston Martin, which is a hot
- 55:55rod, and I love that. And I was thinking, you know,
- 55:58they're going after Elon so much.
- 55:59And I was just like, this seems wrong.
- 56:01And I've been sort of threw it out there jokingly, which, which
- 56:03model Tesla should I get? And the responses were
- 56:06overwhelming. And then finally I got in touch
- 56:08with some Tesla people and I said let me check them out.
- 56:12I had once to me the next day, and that sucker was amazing.
- 56:16I listen, I love my Aston Martin.
- 56:18It's incredible. James Bond drives the Dang car
- 56:21and it's fast and whatever. Yeah, my Tesla Model S Plaid is
- 56:26the fastest vehicle. I have never been in my life.
- 56:30It feels to me. And I have the yoke steering
- 56:33wheel. Yeah, it looks to me like I can
- 56:36take off. You hit that thing and now
- 56:38you're gone. I was like, what is this?
- 56:40Plus, everything about it is so intuitive.
- 56:43I was trying to figure out like, I was like, where do I change
- 56:45the mirrors? My son was like, well, and it's
- 56:49all on the screen and the things.
- 56:50And then of course, it makes total sense to the kids who grew
- 56:52up that way. My son got a Tesla as well.
- 56:55So, so we, we, we embrace the Tesla's, the incredible
- 56:58technology, the car updates itself with software.
- 57:02I mean, it's unbelievable that my, my iPhone charges while it's
- 57:05sitting there and things are, I mean, it's, I love the vehicle.
- 57:09I love it to death, but don't tell me I have to get one.
- 57:13Even Trump want one. I saw his.
- 57:16I posted a picture. I was at the White House not
- 57:19that long ago and. I think he might have just made
- 57:20the the next Tesla commercial. I think we're going to short
- 57:23form this. We'll put an Elon in it.
- 57:25You. I think you're going to be in
- 57:26the next commercial because I don't know if it is next.
- 57:28Listen, the resounding the resounding reviews on that car
- 57:31are always off the chain. They're always positive.
- 57:33Do you have the self driving? That's always made me a little
- 57:35weird. I don't know if I'm comfortable
- 57:36enough to do the self driving. That's what I said hands on guy.
- 57:39I don't know if I can do it, Dean.
- 57:40I think I'm too OCD. I said, no way.
- 57:45My son puts me in my car and he goes, Dad, we know let's, you
- 57:48know, pick where we're going whenever I put it in, blah.
- 57:51Because it's so easy to do the navigation, This is where we're
- 57:53going. He goes, OK, just start driving.
- 57:55I was driving. He goes, now press this button.
- 57:58I press the button, he goes, take your hands away.
- 57:59And I was like, so I sat there like this for the first, you
- 58:04know. Were you clenching?
- 58:06Were you clenching? That's all I want to know
- 58:07because I would probably clench. I was.
- 58:08Passing diamonds. I mean, I was so clenched and
- 58:12then it just drove brilliantly. And the thing about it that's
- 58:15sneaky is you get used to it. I mean, I thought, no way.
- 58:20I got used to it so fast that the car was like, yo, pay
- 58:24attention, pay attention. You're not.
- 58:26Because I was just like starting to be like.
- 58:27Yeah, you're making a sandwich. You're over here, you're
- 58:31texting. Wait, you're on social media?
- 58:33What'd you say? The car said.
- 58:34The car didn't say pay attention.
- 58:36You're just saying. That the car said.
- 58:37Pay attention. It gives you warnings.
- 58:39For what if it's self driving? My hands weren't on the wheel at
- 58:41all. And I think, I think what it is,
- 58:44I think I picked up my phone for a second and it's like, hey,
- 58:47hey, you know. Self driving mode.
- 58:51It did that. In self driving mode, it still
- 58:53wants me to be alert. I mean, you can't take a nap, is
- 58:55that it? He said.
- 58:56He goes, he goes. Look, you have two eyes, right?
- 58:59And you're looking, Your two eyes are looking for things.
- 59:01There's nine cameras going all the time.
- 59:03Yeah, it's better than your eyes and I.
- 59:06Think they need an upgrade though.
- 59:07I want to see it with different voices.
- 59:09I'd like to have it like a New York.
- 59:11Like maybe an Italian mom's voice.
- 59:14Hey, maybe a Bronx. Wise guy voice where it goes.
- 59:16Hey, stop fucking around, you got to pay attention to the
- 59:18road. The beauty is.
- 59:20The K's at each you got to fix it.
- 59:22One software update, it's done. Yeah, yeah.
- 59:26I'm thinking we need that, yeah. I thought you could take a nap
- 59:29if you put in. Self driving.
- 59:31The self driving, I'm telling you it's incredible, but I
- 59:33thought you could take a nap. You're going on the highway just
- 59:35like. Just.
- 59:36Could well they take a nap. There's videos of people doing
- 59:38that, but yeah, that's. Frightening to me.
- 59:41Can you keep saying put your hands on the steering wheel?
- 59:45No, it did on mine. It doesn't do it on my son's.
- 59:46I don't know what I was. I was doing something wrong,
- 59:49George. I was doing.
- 59:50I would think I was. I think I was, you know,
- 59:51flexing. It was being a bad boy window.
- 59:54Tesla knows you're being a bad boy.
- 59:55I got straightened out a little bit, but then then I had a
- 59:58little medical procedure the other day and I was in the car
- 1:00:01my son drove me to and from and they were stopping to pick
- 1:00:03something up. He and his girlfriend go inside
- 1:00:05and I was like, I'm gonna sit in the car.
- 1:00:06And he goes, OK, we'll put it in dog mode.
- 1:00:08I'm like what? They put it and hit a button, it
- 1:00:11goes dog mode and it says on this big screen it says I forget
- 1:00:16the exact thing was like I've not forgotten in here.
- 1:00:19The temperature is at 68°. My owners will be right back and
- 1:00:22it's got a dog on the thing. So I sat in there and dog mode
- 1:00:25I. Had no idea that it even had a
- 1:00:27dog that. Was pretty cool.
- 1:00:29I mean, which is great, though at the end of the day it's great
- 1:00:31because you think about people that leave their dogs and their
- 1:00:33cars, their pets, they get overheated.
- 1:00:35I've always hated that. I had no idea it had a dog mode,
- 1:00:38but that's more the more genius of Elon Musk and his staff over
- 1:00:42there. This guy's just brilliant.
- 1:00:43Have you noticed you don't hear a lot of slack on Doge lately
- 1:00:46since he's like, he's pretty much says he's leaving.
- 1:00:49I don't. Think he's truly leaving?
- 1:00:51He was the target, of course. But Doge is still continuing.
- 1:00:55It's just allegedly. He's not going to be there
- 1:00:58allegedly, but you know you can remote.
- 1:01:00Work though. Hell yeah.
- 1:01:02So like, he's not paying attention.
- 1:01:04Well, you know, he bought that penthouse right across from Mar
- 1:01:07A Lago. I don't know if you knew that he
- 1:01:08took 3 units. He bought them anonymously and
- 1:01:12combined them into one massive penthouse.
- 1:01:14He's right. I was at Mar a Lago about, I
- 1:01:17don't know, 40-5 days ago or so. I went to an event there and I
- 1:01:20and I was being told about this by somebody that knew he has
- 1:01:23line of sight. I have a feeling that was
- 1:01:25because he wanted to have this communication network where he
- 1:01:28could talk to Trump without a bunch of people being involved.
- 1:01:31At least it looks like that. I'd be remiss not to ask this.
- 1:01:34Yeah. You know, you're really
- 1:01:36passionate. You, you know, you're
- 1:01:38articulate. You're well experienced.
- 1:01:41Any political aspirations? I mean, I look, I know you
- 1:01:43already got your own thing, but California's effed up.
- 1:01:46I mean, we need to get Newsome out of there.
- 1:01:49I could see somebody like you easily winning out in California
- 1:01:53because you're you're popular. I think you're well liked.
- 1:01:57Any thoughts about this or is this is this, you know, forget
- 1:02:00it, Lance. It's, it's a dark cesspool.
- 1:02:01I can't step into it. It is a dark cesspool.
- 1:02:04I will say that for sure. You know, I don't know.
- 1:02:06It's not something I aspire to, which is one of the reasons when
- 1:02:09I said this, when I say that people are like, well, maybe
- 1:02:11that's the reason you might want to consider it because I don't
- 1:02:14look, I'm not trying to be Nancy Pelosi going in making $210,000
- 1:02:17a year and be worth, you know, $210 million 75 years later.
- 1:02:22She's been in forever. I mean, it's clear what these
- 1:02:24people are doing when they're coming in, you know, and they're
- 1:02:27making all this money based on being a politician.
- 1:02:29They want to do it forever. I don't.
- 1:02:31We weren't set up that way. We were set up to be regular
- 1:02:34business people who would come in and a part time politicians.
- 1:02:37So I don't like it. I in fact left California.
- 1:02:40I left California two years ago. I live in Las Vegas, NV now I am
- 1:02:44out of California because they drove me out.
- 1:02:47Horrible. Regularly.
- 1:02:49Horrible tax policies. Well, they could use you in Las
- 1:02:52Vegas, that's for sure. Of course, that's a different
- 1:02:54environment because of the gaming.
- 1:02:56The gaming makes it different, but there's no state income tax.
- 1:02:59You know, you have a, it's a castle doctrine state.
- 1:03:02It is a stand your ground state. It is open carry state.
- 1:03:07There's so many things I love about data and, and it's great.
- 1:03:10And we have just absolutely thrived out here.
- 1:03:13But, you know, California is so broken, you know?
- 1:03:16Did you ever see American Psycho?
- 1:03:19Patrick Bate? Yeah, that is Gavin Newsom.
- 1:03:22Whenever I want to post something about Gavin Newsom, I
- 1:03:24just grab a picture of Patrick. I agree with you, but you know.
- 1:03:26Up there, he's psycho. He's just he's, he's, he's a
- 1:03:30sociopath. I think really.
- 1:03:32Look at his behavior and the way he models himself and the
- 1:03:34mirroring he does and the dialoguing.
- 1:03:37It's the hand gestures and the duplication of thinking.
- 1:03:40This is going to work, but there's something overly
- 1:03:42detailed, nothing creepy about him, and he doesn't realize that
- 1:03:45it really comes through. You can tell he's not really
- 1:03:48being himself. You can tell he's a much worse
- 1:03:50person than what he portrays publicly.
- 1:03:52He's thinking Patrick Bateman, man.
- 1:03:54Yeah, yeah, I think you've nailed it.
- 1:03:57You know, I want to make sure we give you some time.
- 1:03:59You know, first of all, I want to thank you for all the time
- 1:04:01you gave us. Amazing.
- 1:04:02Real quick. Yeah.
- 1:04:03Oh, please, George. Vegas.
- 1:04:04You ever go to a restaurant in Marrakech?
- 1:04:07I've not been to Marrakech but I'd love to.
- 1:04:08It sounds like it's Moroccan and lovely.
- 1:04:10Yeah, next time you go there, just tell.
- 1:04:13Tell the owner you know me. Done.
- 1:04:15Write it down. Yeah, amazing place.
- 1:04:17The food is amazing there. In George's place.
- 1:04:19There's George. What's the relationship there?
- 1:04:21Is he your uncle? What is he?
- 1:04:22Your that guy. Cousin.
- 1:04:24He's your cousin, yeah. He's originally from Jersey.
- 1:04:26Have to do in Las Vegas. More restaurants to go to, more
- 1:04:29shows to see UFC fights. I mean, it's got yeah plus.
- 1:04:34Wait, we got even a better thing for you?
- 1:04:35Lance and I are good friends with Signal Chatter, the Nevada
- 1:04:39US attorney. Yeah, that Trump appointment
- 1:04:43should be great. You, bro.
- 1:04:45Yeah. It's always good to have some
- 1:04:47coverage of. Pictures always good to have
- 1:04:48you. Yeah, with a weaponized legal
- 1:04:50system, you never know where it's coming from.
- 1:04:53I want to do this, Dean, to make sure.
- 1:04:54Let's plug the movie again. Let's plug your social media,
