- Roc: Welcome back, swap nation, swap army, swap country, whatever you guys want to call each other. C-Dub: Wait, wait, we got a workshop that we should get a name for our our listeners. Roc: 'Cause we used to be swap army. Back when we dropped our merch back in twenty C-Dub: Yeah, but that's that I don't think that's niche enough. Roc: back in twenty twenty. And then I just did the post of swap country, let's ride, just 'cause it was it was Broncos. So yeah, we'll figure it out. Whatever you guys want to call each other, whatever we want to call you. I'm gonna go with swap army for right now. Welcome back. We got another Thursday episode. See Dub and Rock on the mic. We're gonna talk games this weekend, Thursday night action, maybe dive into the Yanks. And we got some contenders or pretenders to finish things off after the first month of the season. So I mean I'm ready to dive right into it, Dub. You good? Alright, hey, first game week five, we got Thursday night football, Buccaneers at Cowboys, Dallas favored by eight and a half with an overunder of forty seven and a half. Dub, what are you thinking? C-Dub: Spread eight and a half we said that. Now this is like a spot where like I try to pick my dogs when they're when they're long shots. I can't even pick Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: the Bucks in this spot. they're entering the bad vibes territory. I'm Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: replacing I'm taking the Texans out because they looked fun with Nico. So maybe as a Texans Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: fan, even though you do not have a win, you're you're excited about something. The Bucks are just Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: bad vibes all around. granted, they're they're this is a I would say this would be an offensive get right game, but they don't have their their their just extended quarterback with them. So it's gonna be interesting to see how they fight. I think I have Bucky on a lot of fantasy teams, so I'm hoping that he wakes up against a lackluster defense. But we'll see how Roc: Mm-hmm. C-Dub: it goes, Rock, how you feeling about this one? Roc: This definitely could be one of those boring primetime games. It definitely I could definitely see that with the bad vibes of the Bucks. But with that being said, Dub, I don't know if you hear that, but we got We got some dogs barking. C-Dub: Already. Already that's early. That's early. They wanna eat. They wanna eat early. Roc: And dub, when I tell you I'm taking the Bucks as a sneaky dog, yes, I think they are a bad team. They are a brutal they are a brutal C-Dub: It's qu it's quite sneaky. It's quite sneaky. Roc: team. But let me let me drop this on you, Dub. The Bucks C-Dub: Let me hear Roc: have covered in every single game this year. And what do good teams do? They win. C-Dub: They win. Roc: What do great teams do? They C-Dub: Cover. They cover. Roc: cover. The Bucks have covered in every game this year. And yes, they're 0-4, but they've lost by a total of 20 points combined in those four games. So they're in every game. Yes, I love Cowboys' offense. I love their I love the offense, but dude. Eight and a half, that's a touchdown plus some. And Bucks have covered and everything. I I I I'm taking them as my dog for the week. They've held opponents under three hundred yards in every single game this year, which again, Cowboys offense I think is the best in the league. So this is a step above. But I'm backing the numbers and I'm I'm going with the Yuccineers. Jalen Daniels. C-Dub: That's why I was I was gonna mention that. I've s I've taken a look and seen that their defense has done a good job at limiting teams yards. But I mean, this is this is a team that we're going against where a guy just had over fifteen receptions. One guy. and he dominated. there they're and Dak looks great. He looks in and what does Dak do best? Roc: Beats bad teams. Yeah. Yes, he does. C-Dub: Beats up on shitters. He beats up on shitters so well. I would love to see this dog hit. I mean, if I'm gonna pick something I'm obviously picking the Cowboys to win this, but if I'm gonna pick something, I think the overunder could be fun. It's at forty seven and a half, which I mean is higher than a lot of the other games on this on this slate, but if the Bucks can be semi competent, they're scoring twenty one against that kind of defense. So it just and y the Cowboys are gonna gonna get theirs. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: So that's a pick I like. Roc: That that th it is a fun over under. I anytime the Cowboys are playing, it's just I I just I'll I'll take the over any time, honestly. They're such a fun team to watch. Like it C-Dub: they are. Roc: and literally all my notes were on the the games for the pick is you can take any Cowboys offensive player, whatever their number is, and I'd love it. Honestly, if you want to tell me Dax yards, take it. If you want to tell me C D's catches, Pickens yards, take it. Javante to find the paint, go ahead. I I I I actually I think the Cowboys offense is unbelievable. So I love all Cowboys offensive players this week. I won't I don't have an official player props till probably tomorrow. I'll look I'll do a little bit of a deeper dive on it. But yeah, I C-Dub: Yeah, we'll yeah, we'll we'll put a we'll put a post up. Roc: Cowboys should should handle business and win this game if I'm doing a game pick, Cowboys, but if we're doing a spread pick, those dogs are barking. Let me tell you the Bucks. C-Dub: No, I res I respect that. I respect that. I do think Dallas will probably cover this in my opinion. But no, I I love when you we call our shots. We call our shots. Roc: It's scary I'll put my nuts on the table right now. I will. First first first game of the week. But you know, scared C-Dub: That's what we do. That's what we do. Yeah, no shit. Roc: money don't make money. C-Dub: Well said. Well said. Next game. Roc: N next game I had dub was yeah. Did you say one the Eagles at Jags? Eagles C-Dub: Yep, yep, I got that one. Roc: at Jags in London. So again at Jag Wires. They play in London every other week, it seems like. Jags are seven point favorites with a overunder of forty one and a half. Dub. You want to start us off or you want me to want me to get into it? C-Dub: My list is getting a lot more extensive now with bad vibes teams. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I think I might have had the Bucks earlier and I said that they are replacing the the Texans as a big fat bad vibes team. Eagles are just kind of sad vibes. Roc: Really sad vibes. C-Dub: I mean D Lane was yesterday. At the time of this recording. But yeah, I mean Roc: Lane retired yesterday. Yeah. Cam Jurgens just got traded to the Ravens. C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: an already declining Eagles O line gets worse. The vibes are just down. They're gonna be without Saquon again, it looks like. Without what's his name? Tank Bays Bigsby. Back up. They're gonna be leaning on Will Sh Will Shipley, third stringer. C-Dub: Cameo, Will Shifty Cameo. I love that. Roc: I don't know. I don't know if Devontae is gonna be back. I I doubt they wanna rush him back over in London. So they might be without C-Dub: I wouldn't want to do this. Roc: their number one receiver again. This is this is a sad vibe scene. And the Jags have looked really, really, really damn good. This might be Might be a beatdown. C-Dub: As much as we say bad vibes though, what did the Eagles do best? They play good teams close and shitty teams close. Roc: Yes. C-Dub: so if I wasn't a take I mean, they're not my dog. I mean, the Eagles the cover I don't think's the craziest take though. Granted, I do think Jacksonville being h at home in a different country, Roc: Literally. C-Dub: th they're they're in a they're in a good spot and their offense looks electric. over under forty one and a half, honestly, I think that's a good line. I like the under. Me personally. Roc: Yeah, I I remember last last week the Jags Bengals game were all we were all over the over and it didn't even come close to sniffing it. So C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: like I don't mind the under. I think the Eagles offense can be putrid. So to get the forty two C-Dub: Yeah. Especially if Sa Roc: I don't mind that. C-Dub: especially if Saquon Tank and the the guys they lost Roc: Weird. C-Dub: and Smith out. Roc: Weird stat I saw today. Phillies and four against the spread this year. And the Jags are three and one against the spread. So like w like I for some reason I just have that pre predeceived notion that we talk about the Eagles. They always play the good teams tough and then the bad teams they somehow stick around and win ugly. And it kinda checks out and four against the spread this year, a whole touchdown favorite. By the Jags, it might be a shit pumping dub, I don't know. C-Dub: It might be. It might be. I that's why I'm not taking them as a dog, 'cause I try to take my dogs where there's at least a touchdown. But Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: again, th we just went over two games where the spread is a touchdown is a touchdown or more. I still can't take Rocco, question for you though. Going into this this season, the Eagles were the definite, I think, in my opinion, number one pick to to make it out of the NFC Beast. where do you think I mean I haven't looked at any odds or anything, but where do you think like where do you who do you think it falls to now, the race to like win this division? Roc: I I think Cowboys should be and should be clear favorites, honestly. I think they're they're I think they're gonna end up going like this. They're on a upward trajectory where the Eagles are gonna be going down like this. And as much as I love the Giants, stack wins early, 'cause the schedule is gonna get a lot tougher later on and I could see us falling down a little bit. So I think it should C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: be Cowboys, maybe Giants, Eagles toss up and then Commanders at four. C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah, and we'll talk about Giants Giants commies later, but I just I just wanted your opinion on. Roc: Yeah. I th I that's that's what I think. I Cowboys offense is C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: so sick. C-Dub: Yeah, they should I mean, they're a good over team. if they don't win this division, it's gonna be like how did that team not at the end Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: of the at the end of the season. It's how did they not? Roc: Staying healthy, obviously. I'm I'm rolling with the Jags on this game. I think that they're just gonna walk in, get it get the job done in and out and get back to the the homeland. C-Dub: Yeah, I mean, as much as the Eagles do play good teams close, I do think Jacksonville, especially in a in a different country, does cover this. And I'm taking the under at four of forty one and a half. Roc: the next game I had dub was Bears at Packers. Chicago is favored by three with a over under of forty five and a half. I I feel like I know what you're thinking, dub. C-Dub: Talk to me. Roc: Y are you questioning why that line's so low, or no? C-Dub: Part of me is, but I am abstaining from doing any interdivision close spread talks until further notice. Roc: Yep. Good. Good. Good. Good. I I said first thing I had to know was that at yeah, C-Dub: I don't have any stats. I'm just I've gotten burned. Roc: at first I was like at first glance the line just seem the spread seems way too low. But then after just C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: rationalizing it, it's an interdivision rivalry. Green Bay and the Bears in Green Bay and the Bears still have backup quarterback play. So I think Vegas knows this game's gonna be close. And what? All three games last year came down to the final final drive between these two. Granted it was Caleb and Jordan Love and now we got Tyson Bajant and Jordan Love. But the way that the Packers have been playing this year, they're another ugly football team. And the way that the Bears have been C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: running the ball, it's like I understand why this this this line's so low. I think I think it will be a good game, better game than what people will think off for off rep. C-Dub: Yeah, better game, but I mean I'm still taking Chicago in the spot even since it is interdivision in a way. Yeah. Roc: Yeah, I'm rolling with the bears also. C-Dub: Also I'm I might start a new ranking. I just start writing these down because I have my v bad vibes teams. I gotta start top celebration teams. I think the Bears are one one good celebrations. Roc: Dude, they go out there and sell the Colson Lovelin. White boy can dance. Nungai. It's so sick. C-Dub: That's what I'm saying. Like, dude, the the edits of him dancing are everywhere. Colson Loveland can move. His Roc: They pop my for you page all the time as I'm just hitting that shit. Yeah, they do. C-Dub: They got a lot of li they got a lot of limber limbs. They can move it. They can move it. Yeah, so they're my top one. Roc: I I I love the I love the head coaching rivalry storyline going on right now. You literally have complete polar opposites. Ben Johnson leans into it. He has a pair, he feeds into the rivalry, talks about like, I hate Matt LaFleur and we're gonna go out there and we're gonna kick some ass every time we play them. And then you had Matt LaFleur on the mic and he's like trying to minimize the coaching battle. He's gonna and he's like, well, players make plays. The coaching really doesn't have much to go into it. I think it really just shows it it's a it's a perfect synonym for what the season has been for both teams. C-Dub: I was I was just about to say it shows one guy that's on a hot seat and one guy that has buy-in from an entire team. An entire city, entire fan base. I mean, the the talk track lines up for who's who who's saying what. Roc: Yeah. When I when I heard LaFleur say that at the mic, it actually I I I was pissed off about it 'cause it's like, dude, this is your this is your number one rival th in however many years it's been in the NFL. This is Bears, Packers, and you're gonna sit there and you're gonna downplay it. Like come on, dude. C-Dub: I mean, if honestly if I'm at Wur, I would kind of play it up I I would play it up because I think if you if you talk that shit and you win, that's a way to get a fan base behind you that kinda wants your head. So Roc: Yeah. Yeah. C-Dub: from how they've been playing. So I mean, I don't think this is the Packers get right spot. I think this would be a a dog fight, a battle. we'll see how it goes. I'm picking Chicago to cover. Roc: Yeah, I'm going with Chicago also, but I also had this little note down for fantasy. Monungai last week had thirty carries for a hundred and forty six and two tutties. I had him on my bench. And DeAndre Swift, I think he's in the doghouse 'cause he had a few fumbles to start the year. So hopefully it's Monungai season's backfield and I'm starting him this week. Why not? C-Dub: Why not? Why not? Hey, if you don't put your guys in positions where they can perform, they're not gonna Roc: Yeah. So I I I'm rolling with bears and hopefully Monungai just keeps on toting that thing. C-Dub: No, I like that I like that. I don't really have much on the over under here. This is one of those where I could see it going either way. But I would lean Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: under. I've been leaning a lot of unders r recently though, so that's kinda scaring me. Roc: One of these rivalry games, yeah. Packers offense is so bad and Bears C-Dub: Yeah, they are. Roc: Bears offenses look good, but if we if you do the same thing the Bears did last week and they're just they're running the ball the entirety of the game and they have the ball for forty plus minutes, which is crazy, then I I don't mind the underplay at all. C-Dub: Yeah, and we'll see where this goes. Roc: Tal boss next game you had. C-Dub: I have Vikings Saints. Roc: Yes. Vikings as C-Dub: Viking saints. Roc: Saints, Minnesota favored by one and a half with an overunder of forty two. C-Dub: Yes, yes. Roc: Were we don't get me wrong, I love watching the Saints play. I love watching their offense, right? Were we a C-Dub: Yep. Speak it. Roc: little were we a little too high and a little too early on the Saints to begin the year? C-Dub: I don't know. I'm kinda at a loss. I think it's fair to say the Saints are an okay team, but their defense got exposed in prime time. granted Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: that that offense has been humming since Penix has been back. We're referencing the we're referencing the Roc: Llicking. Dawkins. C-Dub: Falcon Saints game. but it's one of those where I I think it's just you could just call them frisky. I don't know if Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: you can call them good. I don't know if you can I d I mean, I still think they're a pretty good team. They've got some glaring holes in some places. I think my only my only thought process is this is a Vikings team that's had an abysmal offense. which gives a sa a Saints team that just got got exposed on their defense maybe not a chance to get right, but a chance to hang in there. I see this game being a little ugly. and As we said earlier, like the Saints are a dog. Now I kinda feel more comfortable with talking about them in a positive light. Roc: Positive way. Yeah. I I said in in my opinion, I think the Saints are a fun team. I want to emphasize fun. But don't know if they're a good team yet. I I really wouldn't categorize them in the good team, but fun team, definitely. They're gonna go out there, they're gonna air it out, put up some points. But you know, they might also let up forty two or whatever it was on Monday night football. That's just how it goes. And to C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. I Roc: go off of the the abysmal Vikings offense. In two out of the four games this year, mind you, the Vikings are four and two out of the four games they haven't scored an offensive touchdown. C-Dub: I trust me, Rock, I I I saw. Roc: That's incredible. C-Dub: I saw. Yeah. Roc: Like what? C-Dub: Yeah. And they're and they're able to win these games. But mind you, last game th they won with fifteen points against the Dolphins. So Roc: Yep. Yeah. C-Dub: I exp I do expect the Saints to score more than ten points. I think they are their offense I mean, the Dolphins are the lowest of the low, no fun. I do expect them to score like the Saints to get in the end zone. Maybe a couple of times, even though the Vikings have been so dominant on defense and they got a sicko as their defensive coordinator. So I don't know. That's that's Yeah. Roc: At home in a dome. There should be no weather. Should be no weather issues and they're at home. I I I don't mind the Saints play on here. C-Dub: I'm not I'm not picking the Saints. I think Roc: Neither am I, but I don't mind it. C-Dub: Yeah. I'm not picking the Saints. I'm picking Minnesota to cover one and a half points. this is an overunder game where I I I'm just gonna stop saying over undercause I'm mostly leaning under with a lot of these. Roc: You know, I'm I'm going with I'm going with the over on this one. I think this is the week that the C-Dub: Okay, okay. Roc: Vikings offense starts to click. 'Cause to be fair, Kyler's been dealing with inj injuries, been in and out of the lineup, and kind of like what we talked about with the Chargers, Kevin O'Connell, the quarterbacks that he likes that he normally has are more pocket guys, old school structure guys like Kirk Cousins was putting up big numbers with him. Sam Darnold was putting up big numbers with him. He loved Daniel Jones. Like he likes the guys that, you know. Stay in the pocket, can move a little bit. And then you have Kyler, who's more of the Russell Wilson, the let me roll out of the pocket, escape, throw on the run, move the ball, running the wise. And I think it's gonna take a few weeks to click for the offenses to kind of mesh. And it's been four weeks, two, two full weeks with Kyler there, and it hasn't looked pretty. I think this I'm gonna I'm gonna stand on it against the Saints defense that's bad. I think this is gonna be an overgame. I think the Vikings offense will look Good and the Saints offense will still be fun. C-Dub: And we didn't even mention who the Vikings got now, who they picked up. Roc: O P J. C-Dub: and granted it didn't work out with the the the Giants, obviously, which is sad to see f on a on all fronts. Roc: Yeah. Sucks. C-Dub: But if if you remember that week one matchup with the Giants and the Cowboys, Odell was pulling a lot of coverage on. Roc: He's pulling double teams. C-Dub: I mean, I think this is not an opportunity for Odell to go and get a million yards. I think Addison might get more open now. Roc: Yeah, I don't know what Jefferson's status is. I think he's probably still gonna be out. I don't even know if Od I C-Dub: Yeah, I that's that's what I'm assuming. Roc: don't know if Odell's even gonna play. They signed him to his the practice squad technically right now, so I don't know if C-Dub: Yeah, yeah. Roc: they'll have him ready by Sunday. Hopefully they do, that'd be sick. 'Cause I wanna see Od I C-Dub: At least and I'm kind of assuming if he if he plays, I mean, Addison has a chance to show that he could be a one 'cause he puts up Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: great stats. I mean, I think he's a great receiver. I think on any other any other team he's he gets talked about a lot more, but he's just got jet jettis in front of him. I mean Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: so it's tough to tough to really put a sh a spotlight on anyone else. Roc: Yeah, so I'm standing on that. I'm liking the over in that game. C-Dub: No, fair, fair, fair, fair. Good stuff. Roc: Next G Man at Commanders. yeah, yeah. C-Dub: Ca can I can I interject here real quick? Can I interject here real quick? I have a dog for a game we didn't we did not highlight. Roc: no. C-Dub: We didn't highlight this game. Roc: You're not you're not doing it. C-Dub: doubling down. I think the Raiders cover against the Patriots. Roc: I thought you were going with the Titans against the Texans. I say dub, that is I say dub, that's gross. That is gross. That's disgusting. C-Dub: Hell no. No, no, no. We didn't highlight this game, but I just wanted to say it. I think I'm gonna double down on the Raiders. I think they're a good team. I think the Patriots they played a Bills team last week that didn't really fire on any cylinder offensively or defensively. And it was in our division. I mean, those get frisky, and the Patriots are able to edge away out. It wasn't pretty. I mean, aside besides the the th the throw to Chisholm in the end zone. That was sick. But other than that, it was a rough game going both ways. I think the Raiders cover three and a half points. I also Roc: Three and a half. C-Dub: like the over of forty five and a half in this game. Roc: I like the over in that game also if we get a Patriots compatible offense. Kinda like last week. 'Cause I C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: think the Raiders are I think the Raiders are a good team and I I actually kinda love this dog play. The pi 'cause C-Dub: I know it's at Foxboro too, I know that. I get that. But The Raiders have proven themselves too many times that they're a good team. Roc: Yes, d I agree. Vegas is a good they are a good team. It's just tough with the Patriots 'cause it's like they come off the Super Bowl last year, they had all these expectations. They look they look like crap the first three weeks. And then they go out there and they perform against the Bills and it's like it gives you that little little bit of hope. It's like, they're still like legit, like they're still one of those one of those teams. But I just Yeah. C-Dub: Yeah. And I'm not saying they're not legit by picking the Raiders. I just think these are two good teams where the Raiders have a good chance to cover three and a half Roc: I like that. I like it. C-Dub: That's all I had to say on that. Roc: Sweep. C-Dub: That'd be my dog. Roc: next G Man at Commanders. I mean, Washington three and a half point favorites with a overunder of forty three and a half. C-Dub: Yes. What's your head Roc: Well that's that line is telling me that Vegas doesn't believe in the Giants whatsoever, just in general, which is what we kinda talked about when we were talking about division division standings, who we think is gonna gonna be in there. It's also telling me that Jaden Daniels is probably like a hundred percent gonna play. I assume they're gonna rush him back. C-Dub: I also got I also got that read. Yeah. Roc: Cause Mariota's out. He his he's out. So I'm assuming that Vegas is s thinking that Daniels is like no doubt to play. C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: I love the Giants in this. I I love them. I again I'm I'm gonna stand on it. I said the same thing about the Cardinals game. I think we're the better team. Like I don't think Washington is a good football team. C-Dub: And while I turned heel against the Cardinals and I ended up biting my words, I do think that the Giants are the better team here. I you know, I do too. I do too. Roc: Yeah, I I I understand why the line is like that. I I I do get the but I I d it makes me more enticed for the Giants. I I I love them this week. C-Dub: Yeah. And again, I always talk about the Giants defense, but this is a game where you have an opportunity to tee off. I think it's also insane how we're not talking we're not even talking about it, but like the last two games, the final drive, where they get these stops, it's it's just so so cool to have that identity. And just have it have Roc: It's actually sick. C-Dub: trust in a unit where a game might be looking grim. A team might be driving down, but Roc: It ain't. C-Dub: you're like, There's it's it's in the back of your mind it just takes one play from these guys. I think this is a game where the weapons that the commanders have right now are a little lackluster from opponents Roc: Mm-hmm. C-Dub: they've been playing in the past. So I hope that the Giants can continue that the momentum on defense and keep it. Roc: Yeah, I said again, I'd r not rooting for injuries or anything like that, but I think you gotta hit Daniels and hit him early and make him feel a little uncomfortable or a little like sc scared kinda about that elbow because e again he's not he's not getting surgery, he's too reluctant to it, so every time it's just gonna keep on popping out, which is gross, but I think you just y you hit him. You hit him early, you make him uncomfortable and you you have that That little thought in the back of his mind every time that he's getting pressured, like, Ooh, I don't I don't know if I wanna wanna wanna put my hand down. I don't know if I wanna wanna try and stop myself. And let that let that doubt reel in the back of his brain. C-Dub: Yeah. Are they giving up on Athan too early? Roc: Said it, Kirk Cause the two point C-Dub: Are Roc: if I'm Washington, Mariota's out, why are you rushing back your star, only only star player outside of Sonny Styles, your top pick, number two pick, stud Jaden Dane. Why I don't C-Dub: I I'd say Terry too. Terry's Terry's pretty good too though. Roc: know if he's playing though this week. He was out last week. I don't know if he's yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. C-Dub: I don't think he is, but I'm just saying he's also pretty good. I'm just saying he's also pretty good. Saying superstars. Roc: But I don't know why you'd rush him. I'll brush him back out there for like a l not like a lost season again, but are you really think you're gonna go win the NFC East and make some noise in the playoffs if even if you get Daniels back to a hundred percent? Like I I I get he did it the rookie year, I understand that, but like I don't know. I'd let let the Greek freak go out there and play for a week or two. The worst that can happen is you lose two games and you get better draft position. And then if you really want to bring Daniels back, bring him back when he's fully a hundred percent healthy and he feels good and mentally he doesn't have to worry about stopping his arm or worrying about his elbow popping out. C-Dub: That was lot of talk about the Giants D, but switch to the offense. last game, Cam had eighteen carries, Najee had nine carries. Do you think that Najee is creeping into Cam's carries? Roc: I think he is and I think he should. I r I really I think that they should give more carries to Tracy too. I I think that you should really have equal amount of carries with with obviously with Scat maybe like a few extra two or three more. But I I would like to see all three of them be getting like around double digit carries. If if we're gonna be running the ball thirty times a game, I I would be perfectly fine with them getting eight to ten carries each and actually giving each other some breaks and having a little bit of a different look out there for the defense instead of just scat back putting his head down and trying to get as many yards as possible. C-Dub: I will say one thing you can tell I I don't owe ball. But I feel like Najee, Scat, and Tracy, they also all have the ability to catch a ball out of the backfield. Roc: Yes. C-Dub: Which I think is rare for a team that's kind of platooning at running back. So I mean I think it I think it's a cool angle. I mean I I I also I wanted to agree with you. Well I think Scat is the premier back for this team now. I think it's cool that Najee's getting more touches. I mean His uses didn't seem too high in the beginning of the season. But I think Harbaugh is kinda leaning into his own identity as a coach. I think people are starting to trust it too, where you run you run the rock, you pound the rock, and then make Jameis Jay don't make Jameis be Superman. I Roc: Yes. C-Dub: th and that's a and that and I think it's been a good a good recipe for success lately. I mean, I don't know when it starts going down the stretch, do teams just load eight in the box and and tee off these the teams with a better defense, you know, like Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I don't know. I'm just I'm just I'm just asking those questions now. I think it's in I I like the direction where it's going, but will that work against a a top tier opponent where maybe you fall behind early? Roc: Yeah. I I yeah, I I think we need to obviously control the game on the ground, but we talked about it. We got the total Jameis experience last week with some big time C-Dub: We did. We did. Roc: touchdowns, some bad interceptions. I'd love to see him have back to back semi good weeks. Like I'd love to see him go out there, not have any picks, hopefully maybe throw for two hundred plus, maybe a touchdown here or there. And I think you gotta just keep on feeding neighbors the rock, whether that's in not even weather. Both in open space, whatever screen plays you want to do, short dump offs, and take some shots downfield, drive the ball downfield. Cause he's he's a stud at the end of the day, and C-Dub: Yes. Roc: he should be our number one guy, number one target, number one source of offense, regardless of who we have at quarterback. He is that good of a player. And yeah, I hopefully we talked about the teams are getting better down the stretch. But Jameis, he's he's getting that that mojo back. He's he's getting that feel. Ever every single time I see a little clip of him, it's him talking about how he starts to feel a little bit better. The last clip I saw, he was doing an interview was from today, and he goes, I'm gonna go out there and throw five hundred on anyone's head, anyone's head in the league. He goes, he goes, I'm just getting my rhythm back. He goes, I had the entire offseason where I'm just sitting there as the backup. I'm the starter now. Like I'm gonna go out there and throw for 500 on t someone's head. And you know what? I'm all in on that. I'm all in. C-Dub: No, I am too. I am too. And you said something about not throwing picks. I mean Would Jameis give me a pick. Give give give Roc: You gotta bake it in. You gotta bake it in. C-Dub: give me a p give me a pick. Don't give me a stupid pick. But give me a a pick where maybe neighbors is downfield might be just give these guys opportunities. And I I I mean, Roc: I agree. C-Dub: I'll where the ball drops, it drops. But if Jameis is throwing good balls and some of them get picked off, because it's Jameis' ball, I'm completely okay with Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: that. Roc: Yes. I wanna see shots, I wanna see them driving the ball downfield. And I'm rolling with the G in this game. C-Dub: Yeah. I'll say roundabout way, but I'm also taking Giants in this in this spot here. no I don't really have an over for the over under for that game, I don't Roc: Beautiful. The next game I had C-Dub: really have a thought. I'm forty three and a half. I'm not really sure. Roc: I again I can see it either way. Giants offense. It just depends which one you're C-Dub: I yeah, so I'm not really too confident on either one. Roc: gonna get. Are you gonna get Tennessee Giants offense or you're gonna get Arizona's Giants offense? It's like I don't really know. We'll we'll see what game plan they go with if it's either slow and controlled running or they're gonna let Jameis do do Jameis things. We'll C-Dub: Hey, we'll see. Roc: see. I think that this next game has is our game of the week, dub 49ers at Seahawks. Seattle favorite by three with an overunder of forty six and a half. I this this is gonna be a insane game, in my opinion. C-Dub: I think so too. Yeah, no, I agree. I love the Niners in this spot. Roc: Yeah, they're dogs. C-Dub: I love the Niners in this spot. I'm taking their spread obviously. Or around about the picks at the end. But I I mean, pretty V P level. they've got Kittles playing out of his mind, as we've said. I think they've I think they've got the mojo to go into a hostile environment. past Super Bowl winners and really take it to the Seahawks defense, granted, I mean I'm saying this now but We'll see we'll see where the ball lies. But I love the over as well in this game. Roc: Yeah, I said going in Seattle's gonna be very difficult. The twelves. The twelfth man, they they get loud. And this is definitely by far the toughest opponent the forty niners have played this year. They kinda C-Dub: for sure. Roc: I in my opinion, I mean yes, they played the Rams week one, but it was in Australia, so anything's up for grabs there. And then they had the two cupcakes back to back with what was it, Cardinals and Dolphins. Dolphins, Cardinals. And and then Broncos last week, but inconsistent offense for the Broncos. I think Seahawks are one of the most complete teams in in the league. Obviously Super Bowl champs. Niners having a lot of sack this year. C-Dub: Yeah, I saw that. Roc: Brock Purdy's playing at MVP level, but he hasn't even been touched. His uniform's getting in and out, pearly white, clean, every single week. So I think Mike McDonald's gonna scheme up some stuff for this defense to pressure. Whether that's Iman or Love or what's his name? Cornerback, stud. Seahawks. C-Dub: You're talking to the non ball knower, Rocco, you're the ball knower Roc: the the name's just slipping. from Illinois. You you don't know? my gosh. C-Dub: No No No search it up Rune Idia Jazz I'll say a cool stat while you're looking it up. as okay Roc: Devin Witherspoon. Devin Witherspoon. Stud. They gotta dial up some pressure. They gotta dial up some pressure from the the C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: secondary and get home on Purdy, I think. You gotta you gotta make him feel pressure. He hasn't been pressured at all this year. And that's why he's been playing like an MVP and he's he's been balling, so I can't doubt him for it, but can't blame him for it, but C-Dub: Is yeah, no, for sure. Roc: it's I I think Seahawks just gotta gotta apply pressure and no Kyle Uzchek this week is gonna be Kind of a big deal, I think, for the Niners. C-Dub: be interesting to see how they how they scheme different plays up without him being there. He's the big gadget guy. I had a stat though I want to read off. I was in some deep rabbit hole here. I found a stat that's pretty cool. And the Niners and the San Fran is ranked number one in this and the Seahawks are ranked number two. Do you have any idea what stat I'm talking about? Tell it talk talk to me. Talk to me, Rock. Talk to me, Rock! Roc: might have the exact stat. I might have the exact stat. This might this might be really niche. I don't know. Is it the lowest explosive play rate? C-Dub: Big play suppression rate. Holy are we locked in? my god. That's crazy. Roc: Yeah Dumb. Dumb, Tapton. I had that exactly in my notes. I had that exactly in my notes. C-Dub: No shot. Well yeah, no, San Frans one, Seahawks are two, big play suppression rate. As much as how I love the over here, and about how I think I mean you have JSN on one side and Purdy and Kittle on the other. this might be this might be a low scoring game, a low scoring affair. I'm not really sure. Maybe it's just they're playing against lesser opponents and that that haven't been able to get the lidoff. But I'm not sure. That's a cool stat, though. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: You know, cool stat. Roc: No i and I like that we were both on the same wavelength there. The C-Dub: Dude, I literally saw that and I did not think you would get that. I I gave you that question as like a me me going down crazy rabbit hole, but you Roc: Right on. This is that's that's called that's called prep. C-Dub: You're right on it. That is frat. Roc: dude, and yes, we we've talked about how good K9's been. He's been a stud. He's like up there for MVP, honestly. The Seahawks run game has been hurting way more than we thought before heading to the season. We thought, like, whatever, they're getting rid of K9, whatever, running back, it expendable. Get rid of him, Super Bowl MVP. Doesn't really matter. They're down to their RB three now. With Charbonnet and Price both on the IR. And they tried signing Joe Mixon this past week. C-Dub: Saw that. Roc: Which failed the fit he failed the physical. So are they is this run game just that down bad? He didn't even he didn't get signed because he failed the physical. Like that's a big thing with with Darnold, as good as he is, and I love I love Sam Darnold. I think he's a Super Bowl Super Bowl, not MVP, but Super Bowl winning quarterback. You gotta have a run game with him though, or else he's gonna go out there because he's a pick guy also. He he throws a lot of picks. He has a little jabbo in him. He's a slinger. And C-Dub: Yeah. Jabbo esque. Yes. Roc: if the if the the run game's hurting that badly, the past two weeks it they've they've really had nothing going for them for them on the ground. C-Dub: I mean they had the one guy go off last game, but that was against the Chargers. I mean, so I don't I don't give much credence to that, but I do I do see what you're saying. I mean, I saw that mixing thing too. How do you my question like how do you fail a physical? Like what do you have to do? Roc: He hasn't pl he hasn't played in over a year and a half, too. I don't know. I don't know if that C-Dub: No, but what does that mean? Like guy just doesn't doesn't pass an eye test, or is it like a doctor going in and saying he is unhealthy? Roc: I don't know. C-Dub: Someone in the comments sound off 'cause I don't understand how someone fails a physical in the NFL. Roc: Yeah. Twitter Twitter doctors. Twitter and Instagram doctors, we need you here. We we C-Dub: Calling all. Calling all. Roc: we need you here. And with that being said, the Niners have looked so good this year. They're leading league best win win margin of fourteen and a half points per game. So they're just they're they're pumping the other teams. Give me the Hawks at home. I'm I'm gonna take Yeah. I think you can go either way. C-Dub: Yeah, that's fair. I'm taking niners. I'm taking niners. I took last week and they p they pulled through. I'm going with 'til they prove me otherwise. And this might in a big spot like this, the game might go di might go differently than what I think, but I think they'll Roc: Yeah. The next game, Sunday night football, Ravens at Falcons, Falcons favored by three and a half with an overunder of forty three and a half. All of a sudden we have a really fun matchup, dub. We C-Dub: All of the sudden. Roc: really have a fun matchup in my opinion. C-Dub: Yeah. I mean, I think fun is a word to use when you have when the Ravens don't have Lamar because I think this game's gonna be a lot closer than people think. If Lamar Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: is indeed out and it seems like he is. Roc: It looks like he's gonna be out. C-Dub: Yeah, so my question to you before you talk anymore, does Lamar make this game a pick Roc: think if Lamar's playing their favor in Atlanta. Atlanta's offense looks so good since Pennick's gotten in. I C-Dub: Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Roc: honestly I like I wanna say it would be even more than a pick on because Lamar I think Lamar's like that. I could even see it be swung by like the Ravens two and a half. C-Dub: Could be I it it could be. I j I I I'm just asking the question 'cause I'm not sure. c and also 'cause I've I've tried to Roc: Just 'cause the sample size so far of the Falcons. C-Dub: talk shit on Penix about being a line changer and it it bit me in the ass again. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: So I just wanted to ask you what you think. I mean, I think it makes this game at least a pick I mean it might make the Ravens favored. But I'm not sure. So Roc: Yeah. I wanted to give a shout out first and foremost. I think we owe the schedule makers an apology. I was not familiar with their game. Three weeks straight of Atlanta Falcons on prime time, and I'm pretty sure we said on the podcast two weeks ago when they were having Cooper Rush out there that this is gonna be the worst thing imaginable. We're gonna have three straight weeks of Falcons football on Thursday, Monday night, and Sunday night. And now it looks fun. C-Dub: It does. Roc: They're averaging forty plus points a game with Penix out there. He's slinging rock. Being the point guard, distributing left and right. Bijan's Bijan. Best best player in the NFL you can debate. And this I I owe the schedule makers an apology. 'Cause damn it, d they did their thing. They did their thing. C-Dub: No they did. They did. another question. This is a Kyle Pitts game. Roc: Did did you see the clip of that last touchdown for the Falcons on C-Dub: No. Roc: Monday night? my gosh. The one that Penix threw, I forget who caught it. It might have been Branch or it might have been I don't even know. It was like the deep post across the middle of the field. Pitts ran like a wheel route down the sideline, wide open. Like like wide open. Like n nobody within thirty five yards of him. And he's sitting C-Dub: No, I didn't see this. Roc: there screaming, going like this, and all I'm seeing on Twitter is just like, dude, Atlanta really does not mess with him. Like nobody messes with him. It sucks because he's a stud. He has like five catches total in the year for like twenty two yards. I you know, but I I love that you're You're downing it. Yeah, you're doubling down on it. 'Cause you wanna know why he's a stud. He's a stud. C-Dub: I'm gonna keep doing it. I'm gonna keep doing it til till un until the Kyle Pitts game occurs, every game leading up to that is the Kyle Pitts game. Roc: I love it. I love it. And I and I actually there's no reason that I should be backing backing you that much with it, but you know what? I love Kyle Pitts and I think he's a beast. And I love that you're you you're having the Kyle Pitts game. I'm backing it. C-Dub: Why not? Why not why not this game? If any game, why not this one? Roc: I mean, if you guys are looking for a safer bet, Prime time Bijan's a real thing. This dude, every C-Dub: It is. It is. Roc: time he plays on prime time, puts up unbelievable numbers. What was it, Monday night, third play of the game, rips off a 59-yard touchdown run? In eleven games, C-Dub: Yeah, he hit the over for me. Roc: in eleven games he's played on primetime since he got into the league, he's averaging 145 all purpose yards, the highest ever in NFL history. He has twelve hundred and thirty-nine rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns with forty five catches, four hundred and thirty yards receiving, and three receiving touchdowns. When the lights are the brightest, this dude shows up and he balls C-Dub: He does. Roc: out. C-Dub: He does. W isn't he an actor he likes acting or something? I remember seeing a story on him. He might just like he might just like the bright lights. Roc: Yep. Yep. Took acting classes in Texas, him and McConaughey, Matthew McConahe. C-Dub: Might just like the bright lights. Roc: Yeah, he's a dog on primetime. But C-Dub: yeah, pick I'm taking Atlanta the cover. Roc: I'm rolling with ATL also. I I don't I mean, Snoop Huntley's gonna be the backup. He's gonna be in there. And granted, let me let me put some respect on his name, Pro Bowler Snoop Huntley. He was a Pro Bowl football player. That being said, he's five and six his career as a starter and C-Dub: So that's I I I didn't know where you're going with that, but I was waiting for you to do Roc: It's the the him and Lamar, it's the yo, you can copy my homework but just don't make it word for word. That's that's the vibes that I get. That's the vibes that I get with Snoop. So C-Dub: That's a good that's a good way to put it. That's a good way to put it. Roc: I'm I'm rolling I'm rolling with ATL. I think their their offense is gonna stay hot and I think that they they got some swagger going on right now. C-Dub: Yeah. And it's it's one of those where like why would why would the if like the offense has been hot these past two weeks, granted's been prime time. I mean why would they stop now? Why would we why why would they stop pr producing now when they've been producing on such a high clip? Shout out Kevin Savansky though. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: Shout out. Roc: The Bills Rams games Monday night we'll get into that next pod, right? C-Dub: Yeah, for sure. Yep. Roc: And for our final segment ending up because we just wrapped up all the games for the week, a little preview. Like we said, we're over a a month into the season. I think it's it's time we can talk contenders or pretenders now, dub. C-Dub: I love it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Roc: So I got I got a list of teams, okay? So I I broke them down into two sections. Obviously I didn't I didn't put every team up there, but I put teams that I think are good questions. And we can just be simple with it. We can go into explanations for certain teams. But I have the three and one teams or better record, and then I have teams that are two and two. So I'll start with the three and one teams. I just want to hear your thoughts. I'll give my opinion. 'Cause some of them it's like obvious, other ones it's it's debatable. So three and one are better. Bills. I think we can both agree they're contenders. C-Dub: Yes, yeah, there's I mean, granted, I mean they haven't looked as dominant as as they did the first two weeks, these the the past two games. But they'll get right. They'll get good. I I I trust in that. Roc: Yes. next the Brownies. Browns. C-Dub: You know you know where Eileen with this. I think contender, especially in the in the division that they're in. But I Roc: It love it. C-Dub: don't know if I don't know if you're I don't know if you're feeling the same way. Roc: have a soft spot for the Browns 'cause I think their defense is so good. And if they're getting Deshaun Watson good quarterback play, I think that they when I say contender, yes, Super Bowl's tough to label, but it's yeah. Winning the division is a contender. C-Dub: Yeah, no, it's not I I'm just kind of assuming like if they make if they make if they make the playoffs, I'm not not that I'm not surprised, but I I see a pass. Roc: Yes. Okay. I I I I think the Browns could be contenders 'cause I think they have a real shot of winning the AFC North. So I I I I I lean with you. C-Dub: Yeah, so yeah, no, my contenders are like they can make the playoffs. Roc: Yes. Okay. Ravens. Same division. We don't know how far Lamar's gonna be out. Contender or pretender, dub? C-Dub: I I'm a lot more I'm a lot more stuck on them. I mean if you have Lamar all the way through, you have to put them at contender, I believe, because they always get there. Roc: Yes. I I think they're contenders obviously. Lamar is I think top five player in the league, top five quarterback in the league. So I C-Dub: Yep. Yeah. Yeah. Roc: I roll with them as contenders. Jags. C-Dub: We're saying a lot of contenders, but again, in their division, contender. Roc: I think Superbowl contenders, I think they might be the best team in the AFC. Damn it. C-Dub: Yeah, no, I I don't see a w I i they're one of those teams where I will be flabbergasted if we're at the f we're at week seventeen and they're not in the playoffs. Roc: Yeah. Chiefs, four and all, Mahomes is Mahomes, Chiefs are back, contenders, the C-Dub: Juggernaut. J j juggernaut. Yeah. Roc: Raiders. Yep, I think that I think that awkward silence was was was suitable. I think that a good team, but are they contenders? C-Dub: They are good. They are good. But I believe the division the division that they are in with what they'd have to put up, like win-wise, against, the Broncos They might they Roc: We'll get into that. C-Dub: might be weird. I'm gonna go with pretender. I love I love them to cover in these Roc: I'm also C-Dub: spots. I think they're a good team, but I don't see a path to them making the making a playoff. Roc: I agree. I think they're pretenders and I think that awkward silence, that pause was was suited. It was it was needed 'cause they're good they're yeah, C-Dub: No, it's ju it's just 'cause I like them. They are fun. Roc: they're they're a good team, but they're not that I think they're pretenders because their their schedule gets a lot tougher. Kinda like with this next team we just said, the Giants Yeah. Dude, I'm gonna plug my ears, but C-Dub: I don't wanna say I don't wanna say the P word. I'm not gonna say the P word, but I'm gonna say that the the word to start with a P. Roc: They're pretenders. Sadly. Sadly. C-Dub: Yeah, no, I mean I mean it's our job as podcasters to try and eliminate as much bias as we can. And Roc: To be honest, yes. C-Dub: as as high as I am on this team, there's gonna be a gauntlet down the road and I think true colors will be shown. I I I hope I'm proven wrong when we do another Contenders or Pretenders in a couple weeks. But I guess we'll see where it goes. It's week four. Roc: Yes. But sadly the G Men in in my opinion are pretenders. C-Dub: I mean it's going to be week five, Roc: next C-Dub: but we got four we got four games under our belt. It's it's they need to have a lot bigger body of work from where they've been to to to prove me otherwise. Roc: Next skull Vikings. C-Dub: I'm gonna go with pretenders for now. Roc: The way that their offense is playing right now, pretenders. But if they can start clicking, like how I kind of predicted I think that they're gonna get going this week, I would say contenders, but as they stand right now, I'm gonna say they're contenders. That defense is legit and they're Brian Flores is a a monster. C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I no for sure. Roc: Same division. Bears. C-Dub: contenders. I think they are the best team in this division. Roc: I agree with you with the fact that I think they're the best team in this division. The only h hesitant, worrisome that I have is how long is Caleb Williams going to be out? And yes, Case Keenum and Bajant have looked good the last two weeks against the Eagles and the Jets. If Caleb is out another four games, another five games, I don't know, 'cause the hamstring, there really was no definitive thing. At first we thought it was the season, then it was He could play next week and not it was three to six weeks, whatever. Their schedule's gonna get a little bit more difficult. Can Bajant C-Dub: for sure. Roc: or Keenum steady the boat? Because they're gonna be playing divisional games. And in in NFC North that is good and that will be competitive. I don't think you can just say, if they lose three games in a row with Bayent, we get Caleb Williams back. Like that can come back and haunt you. I think they are contenders. C-Dub: No it could, it could for sure. Roc: Fully healthy, it's just that's the only question is like when are they gonna get Caleb back and will Bayjun be able to, you know, keep them above five hundred in those weeks? C-Dub: Yeah, and I guess we'll see. I mean, again it's we have four games under our Roc: These next two I'm gonna group together 'cause I think we're they're they're both the same. Forty Niners and Seahawks. I'd say contenders for both. C-Dub: I would too. I would too. I mean we we we kinda talked about it in our game preview. I think they're both two good looking teams. They have yet to prove me otherwise. Roc: Yeah. And now we get into the actual topic of conversations, the two and two teams. I think there there could be some questions here. The Rams. I think they're still contenders. W no matter what way you look at it, they're gonna get healthier. Yeah. C-Dub: I it and that just sucks to s it sucks to say. Because they haven't looked. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: But again, with the weapons they have, like, I would look like an idiot if I said contender or pretender. Roc: Yeah, they're they're contenders. They're just gonna get healthier and healthier and their offense probably is gonna start clicking again, even better. Defense gonna get even better when Garrett gets back. So I think they're contenders. Next two in the NFC South, Panthers and Falcons. Contenders or pretenders? Again, I wanna preface by saying I Super Bowl, I don't know about that. But I think both offenses C-Dub: Yeah, yeah. I don't think and I don't think we're ranking on the Roc: I think both offenses are fun. Fun, especially Falcons now that Penix is playing like that. It's just such a short sample size though with him. It's only been two weeks. Bryce Young's playing at such a great level for the Panthers and they're exciting to watch. C-Dub: Tut unlock. Roc: who I had more faith in right now as a team, I would lean the Falcons, honestly. So so I C-Dub: I would also lean the Falcons. I thought you were gonna go Panthers. I would also lean Falcons. Roc: and I love the Panthers, but they're dealing with injuries on defense and secondary. C-Dub: Because they have w yeah, yeah, I was gonna say the Falcons actually have warm bodies on defense. Roc: Yeah. So I'm gonna say Panthers are pretenders, but Falcons are contenders in this sake. C-Dub: I I think that's I mean, the Panthers are so much fun. It's it sucks to call them a pretender. But I mean I I guess I guess we'll see. I would also take Falcons here though. Roc: Next the lines. C-Dub: I say Pretender based solely on the fact that they we had them so high coming into going into this season. A lot of people did. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I would say pretender. I mean I and again, like they have a lot of key defensive pieces out. They've had injuries on both sides. It's one of those where If they got everyone back at the snap of a finger, would it look different? Probably. But I just I I I don't I don't see them I don't see them getting ever cutting complete ever with the amount of injuries they had. Roc: Yeah, it sucks to say. As of right now, they're they're pretenders for me, that division's tough and their defense is abysmal to watch. They were my Super Bowl pick going into the season. I thought that, you know, the defense would play a little bit, middle of the pack a little bit better, maybe make a trade mid season C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: and maybe they you know, their offense is already nasty. But as of right now, I'm gonna say they're pretenders because that defense is such a joke. C-Dub: I completely agree. Roc: Next the Dallas Cowboys. C-Dub: I think they're a contender. Roc: I think they're live. I think they're a contender also. As much as it sucks to say. C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. Roc: That that offense is just so good and I think the NFC East is their division to lose, honestly. So if their defense could just get a little bit better each week, not even has to be crazy, just marginally better each and every week. I think they're they're real they're real legit contenders. C-Dub: No, I I completely agree. Yeah. Roc: This goes into the Eagles. I think they're frauds and C-Dub: Well, I mean, especially with the losses and the vibes f of this past week. Roc: They just poured more salt more salt into the wound with the recent news these last two days with their offensive line. So C-Dub: Yeah. It's it's also one of those I mean, granted training jargon's away, I mean that has to kind of signal where you where they're moving. Roc: They wanna kinda rebuild or they know that this isn't the C-Dub: th they know they know that there's some aged guys on their team that if they keep this current this current squad it'll look look more abysmal in the future. So I mean for this season I would say pretenders. But they're always one of those teams that's just stays frisky too. Roc: Yeah. And then these last three teams, I think that there's some some real debate here. The Pats. C-Dub: I'm gonna go it might be hot. I'm gonna go contender. Roc: It's it's kinda like what I said when when you were talking about the Raiders and you're taking them as the dog. In that game when I said the Patriots, like I just don't know what to think of them. Because they come into the year with all these expectations, then they look bad, but then they also look great against the Bills, and it's like like maybe they are still contenders, and like the Bills losing to them gives them hope of still taking that AFC East, still having a chance at the AFC East, 'cause if the Bills started off four and Pat started off one and three, it's like all right. Bill's division. Now it's like there's still that that door's still open. So C-Dub: Yeah. And it's tough to to place a team that made a Super Bowl last year and didn't really move around too many pieces, a pretender in Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: i going into week five. It's tough to do that. So I'm gonna I'm gonna go contender. Wha what about you, Ralph? Roc: I'm gonna say as as of right now, at two and two, I'm gonna say pretender. I need to see two two weeks in a row of them, you know, at least playing competent football, which I don't think I've seen yet. C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. Roc: The the Bengals. C-Dub: Pretender. Roc: Thunder. Offer up. C-Dub: Yeah, I think pretender. Why w are you are are we are we leaning different ways here? Roc: I think like right now, if I had this if you gone to my head right now, I'd say I I'd say C-Dub: No, no, tell me, tell me right now, tell me. Roc: I'd say pretender right now, but I think they have they might have the most upside in that division in the AFC North. If they could put everything C-Dub: They might, but I mean Roc: together and yes, it's one of those questions we always ask, like if bro could say healthy, I know and it's like C-Dub: defense? And it just it took a one hundred eighty after we said it, Are we a jinx? I don't know. Roc: I'll s I'll say right now they're pretenders just 'cause that defense still isn't legit, but I think they have the most upside in that division to where I could easily see four weeks from now that they're sitting there atop the division and they're legit contenders. And then lastly the Broncos. C-Dub: Pretenders. Roc: I'm stand stand strong. They're they're contenders to me. C-Dub: I know I knew you would. I knew you would. Unless I in my opinion, unless David Webb, Davis Webb, gets touched by the hand of God, I don't see how this team is a contest. Roc: Think they're too good to not figure it out. I like I tr it maybe maybe it isn't Davis Webb. Maybe, maybe Sean maybe Sean Payton takes back over play C-Dub: Bo Nick's is a light switch. He's a light switch. He's on and off. He's hot or cold. Roc: calling. But I don't know. I saw some of the cut ups and Bo Nix is just being scared to take shots downfield, which is annoying. Like he has perfect pocket with Waddle, who they just went out and spent draft capital on, Sutton, who's a beast. They have separation they have looks and he's just taking the underneath route every time check down to Harvey. It's like I think at some point he's gonna grow a pair and start taking some shots downfield. I I I wanna see it click. I'm I'm high on the Broncos still. I think C-Dub: Yeah, I know. I mean again it Roc: they're I think they're still legit contenders. C-Dub: Bonicks is at his best when he is a gunslinger. Roc: Yes. C-Dub: And he just hasn't looked that way recently. I don't I I Roc: I don't know what it is. I I wanna see him see him just unload the clip. Alright? Unload the clip and take some shots. C-Dub: And I know how highly we talk about that defense. How you talk about that defense. But but Roc: Yes, I love that defense. C-Dub: but at the same time, I feel like they're in a similar spot to the Vikings where the Vikings are three and one. Vikings are undefeated. Granted they might not might not have played the hardest comp, but they're finding ways to do it. Why can't the Broncos with their defense? Roc: Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. C-Dub: So I mean, that's just my thoughts. I mean I Roc: Trust me, they don't pass the eye test whatsoever, trust me. But I just I have I don't know, C-Dub: I know, you're you're a sicko like that. Roc: weird vibe on them. A weird vibe on them and I'm I'm gonna trust in them. C-Dub: No, hey. No, stick to your guns. Stick to your guns. Roc: But dub, that was it for contenders or pretenders. C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: So I mean, swap army, swap nation, swappers, whatever you guys want call each other. Thank you again for if you made it this far. Hopefully you guys liked the little ending segment. We thought a month ago and into the season we might as well, you know, give our takes C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: on who we think's who we think is legit and who we think's frauds. So C-Dub: Yeah, let's revisit this one later. I like this I like the segment. Roc: Yeah. Yeah. But thank you again everyone. We'll see you guys on Mon Tuesday morning. Monday night, Tuesday morning. And hopefully, the plays that we give out this weekend we can go win some coin. C-Dub: We can. I wanna keep my my undefeated streak of the dogs alive, so let's keep embarking. Roc: Dogs. Yeah. Hell yeah. C-Dub: Let's keep barking. Roc: Hell yeah. But thank you guys. C-Dub: See you guys.
