- 0:00Speaker 1: So let's let's go talk about back to options if
- 0:02Speaker 1: we can, because people have questions. So the first question
- 0:05Speaker 1: is is this time to take profit on things?
- 0:10Speaker 2: On?
- 0:10Speaker 3: If you're up on an option, and.
- 0:15Speaker 1: You know, obviously things can move very quickly in that world,
- 0:19Speaker 1: So is it time to start taking profit? Lock in profit?
- 0:23Speaker 4: I think you lock in profit, you have that story
- 0:26Speaker 4: before you even invest, right, but right now today, well
- 0:29Speaker 4: it's individual case, right, So for.
- 0:31Speaker 1: General general purposes, if people are if people are up
- 0:34Speaker 1: on the options, because you're either upp you down right,
- 0:36Speaker 1: So I'm gonna ask the question for people that are
- 0:38Speaker 1: down next for people that are up. People that are
- 0:41Speaker 1: up right, and they might have already taken some profit.
- 0:43Speaker 1: They might have already did that. The one hundred percent
- 0:45Speaker 1: straight they already did that. They have four contracts, they
- 0:47Speaker 1: doubled their money, they already took out two contracts. There,
- 0:50Speaker 1: they have two contracts left, but they're still up, you know,
- 0:54Speaker 1: over one hundred percent. Is it time to do another
- 0:56Speaker 1: one to lock in profit? Because of the uncertainty in
- 1:01Speaker 1: the market, at least at least you've locked in some
- 1:04Speaker 1: level of victory. You can sit on the cash and
- 1:07Speaker 1: try to figure this thing out until we get some guidance.
- 1:12Speaker 4: A couple of things. Number one is how much time
- 1:14Speaker 4: do they have inside those contracts? Second thing is you
- 1:18Speaker 4: lock in your profit before you invest, right, And what
- 1:20Speaker 4: I mean is like everybody's not trying to get one
- 1:22Speaker 4: hundred percent. Some people might be trying to get twenty percent,
- 1:25Speaker 4: and that's great. Did you get to twenty percent?
- 1:26Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:27Speaker 4: You took out your profit. You may have left the
- 1:29Speaker 4: rest of a few contracts in there to appreciate. Well,
- 1:32Speaker 4: what's the strategy on the backside? Right, Like, we're not
- 1:35Speaker 4: at one hundred percent anymore, but now we're pulling down.
- 1:37Speaker 4: So what's the threshold now? Is it fifty percent?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Right? So I can right, so we don't get back
- 1:43Speaker 3: to zero.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Right, So you start taking profits when you start to
- 1:47Speaker 4: see depreciation.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Now when you go negative. Right.
- 1:50Speaker 4: So some people are like, wait, I'm down eleven percent,
- 1:52Speaker 4: I'm down twelve percent, I'm down twenty percent, I'm down
- 1:54Speaker 4: thirty percent. Well that's why we have our stop laws, right,
- 1:57Speaker 4: So before we enter the trade, we have our stop laws,
- 2:00Speaker 4: whether that's thirty percent or forty percent. Some people don't
- 2:03Speaker 4: put their stop laws right, Like, I am guilty of that,
- 2:05Speaker 4: Like I didn't always put my stop laws because I
- 2:08Speaker 4: was putting time on these contracts like everybody EUIL. I've
- 2:12Speaker 4: been huge on Uber. That contract was down forty percent,
- 2:15Speaker 4: fifty percent. That contract is out to December of twenty
- 2:18Speaker 4: twenty eight. I'm not thinking about it the same way
- 2:21Speaker 4: that I would if I was having a contract that
- 2:24Speaker 4: was expiring in April of this year. Right, and so
- 2:28Speaker 4: that time factor, all that has already been predetermined. Right,
- 2:31Speaker 4: I'm putting time on it. I'm staying close to or
- 2:34Speaker 4: at the money. More recently, I've been buying in the
- 2:36Speaker 4: money because of the volatility. So all those strategies are
- 2:40Speaker 4: implemented before you even make the trade. And so when
- 2:42Speaker 4: you now when you start to see depreciation, you start
- 2:45Speaker 4: to see some pullback that I hit my profit margin
- 2:48Speaker 4: that I wanted to take money out at. Yes or no?
- 2:52Speaker 4: As we go down, what is it? Is it seventy
- 2:54Speaker 4: five percent? Is it fifty percent? Is it twenty percent?
- 2:56Speaker 4: I'm gonna get an ask you what was shot?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Pause?
- 2:59Speaker 2: Okay, if you are undisciplined, yes, it's time to take profit.
- 3:04Speaker 2: If you just hit market and got in anywhere because
- 3:07Speaker 2: you was told the market is going to go up, No,
- 3:08Speaker 2: matter what, and you have no plan or playbook for
- 3:12Speaker 2: how you're trading, you it's time to pack it up,
- 3:14Speaker 2: take your profit. Now you need to reassess completely. But
- 3:18Speaker 2: we are a choice talking to a very disciplined and
- 3:20Speaker 2: so am I a very disciplined investors. But for those
- 3:23Speaker 2: of you who just scrounge up some money, didn't care.
- 3:27Speaker 2: You just lighting up at night and just got you
- 3:29Speaker 2: like five contracts, my brother, it's time to be disciplined.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And this market is going to be tougher than ever
- 3:35Speaker 2: until this war is over. Now it's not playtime when
- 3:37Speaker 2: it comes to trading.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 4: And the reason why we started with that as a
- 3:41Speaker 4: tip is buying the time is because if this is
- 3:45Speaker 4: your first time investing, you're not coming back when you
- 3:48Speaker 4: see something like this, absolutely, like if you invested for
- 3:51Speaker 4: the first time in the past two months, it feels
- 3:55Speaker 4: so discouraging because wait, hold on, this is the first
- 3:57Speaker 4: time I'm doing this. I can't recover from this. How
- 4:00Speaker 4: do I come back from this? But that's why I
- 4:02Speaker 4: have in those thresholds before you ever start. Have those
- 4:05Speaker 4: thresholds because you might see We'll use Micron for example, right,
- 4:09Speaker 4: you might see Micron go up to four to sixty.
- 4:11Speaker 3: That was pulled down the three twenty today.
- 4:14Speaker 4: But somebody sitting in that contract saying, all right, well,
- 4:17Speaker 4: I didn't invest yet, this might be a good time
- 4:19Speaker 4: for me, right, or I took some profit. I'm gonna
- 4:23Speaker 4: as it is pulling back, I'm gonna wait to get
- 4:25Speaker 4: back into it. I might get a call out even
- 4:27Speaker 4: further like I did that. I'm like, wait, I don't
- 4:29Speaker 4: have any in December twenty eight. Let's see if it hits,
- 4:33Speaker 4: if it depreciates it even more like it was forty
- 4:35Speaker 4: percent today, I was on a plane. I did get
- 4:38Speaker 4: to see the Probably those same contracts are probably down
- 4:40Speaker 4: fifty percent. I'm looking to get out into twenty twenty eight.
- 4:43Speaker 4: I'm two years out, all right, Yeah? Is it still
- 4:45Speaker 4: the company I believe in? Is the story change?
- 4:47Speaker 3: No?
- 4:48Speaker 4: Right, I don't care if sk high Neex becomes publicly
- 4:51Speaker 4: traded here in the United States. I understand the story.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Even with Google, Even with Google making the announcement about
- 4:58Speaker 4: Google kuwand and how that might change memory. Well, if
- 5:00Speaker 4: you look at the history of Google, a lot of
- 5:03Speaker 4: their products are used for internal employees.
- 5:07Speaker 3: It's the consumers get ahead.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not it's not enterprise face and hey, we're
- 5:14Speaker 4: making these products so you can buy them. It's hey,
- 5:16Speaker 4: we're using them so we can get ahead and stay ahead.
- 5:19Speaker 4: So the story doesn't change. The companies haven't changed. The
- 5:23Speaker 4: opportunities and the prices and points that we get them.
- 5:27Speaker 4: That will change, but we got to make sure we're
- 5:28Speaker 4: on the right side of it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: So what's the recommend to stop laws?
- 5:32Speaker 4: Ah, I would say safety is probably anywhere between twenty
- 5:37Speaker 4: to thirty percent. They've watched me do further What companies
- 5:41Speaker 4: am I going further on in video?
- 5:44Speaker 3: Right?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Well, I go fifty per of course, I'm gonna go
- 5:46Speaker 4: fifty percent in video Micron, I've done fifty percent and
- 5:48Speaker 4: they've seen it before.
- 5:49Speaker 3: We have gone fifty percent.
- 5:51Speaker 4: If it's a company, I understand a story and I
- 5:53Speaker 4: clearly see it.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I said it a little further.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Out and it's ain't the time for us two times
- 6:00Speaker 2: no stop loss. No, we're not in that market like
- 6:05Speaker 2: chill if it's not an excellent company for my futures
- 6:08Speaker 2: traders because some of you are taking your your stops
- 6:11Speaker 2: off and you're trying to ride it through the London
- 6:14Speaker 2: through American session.
- 6:15Speaker 3: But things can change.
- 6:16Speaker 2: So fast, and make sure that you have your trades
- 6:19Speaker 2: in place, and for my futures, traders record your trades
- 6:22Speaker 2: because if you get stopped out, you can't tell them, hey,
- 6:25Speaker 2: my stop was at this level and you feeled me here.
- 6:28Speaker 2: You're gonna have to send in evidence so that they
- 6:30Speaker 2: can verify it. And on top of that, credited back
- 6:33Speaker 2: to your account because even the slippage and your stop
- 6:36Speaker 2: loss may be deeper than you you want it to
- 6:37Speaker 2: be because of the volatility.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Be mindful.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it's important, and that's why I said nobody celebrates
- 6:44Speaker 4: on the negative side, it's like, oh my gosh, this
- 6:46Speaker 4: Disgui's phoning.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yep.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Well, the same micron call that was down fifty two
- 6:53Speaker 4: when I posted that, it was up two thousand percent.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Everybody cheers, Why right, It's because there was the vision
- 7:00Speaker 4: was there, but we understood the story. Were there a
- 7:02Speaker 4: lot of people and shout out to everybody that that
- 7:04Speaker 4: made gains on that. It's because of the discipline. It's
- 7:08Speaker 4: because we bought time for that to have a reversal. Right,
- 7:10Speaker 4: we can't predict volatility, but what we can do is
- 7:13Speaker 4: by time to combat it.
