- High Five Hot Mess Podcast: Five I mess podcast, it's gonna be okay. We're fine. So I started this week and I was like, I never cry, I'm dead inside. I've hit menopause and I'm never gonna cry again. And then guess what? On Friday, ⁓ I had cried not once, but twice. I got so angry, so frustrated, and just completely overwhelmed. And I just felt like I was getting gaslighted. And I just I literally got so upset, I just cried. And it it it's the thing that made me cry that is probably not what you're thinking. Wasn't my job, wasn't a family crisis. I didn't get into a fight with Doug. It it it was literally AI. AI made me cry this week. Not once, but twice. It was rough, right? Like I just felt like I could not. figure out anything correctly. And I think you guys, here's the deal. I think we're all in a place where we're all gonna cry because of AI, probably sooner rather than later. And honestly, I it's weird, right? I think it's weird because here's what I'm gonna tell you. Here's my secret confession. You can hate me if you want to, but I love AI. Like I think it's the best thing that's ever happened to us. You guys, you like that little jingle that starts at our Front of our podcast now, we created that with AI. You guys, I have three AI agents that we work with to create this podcast. It helps me write, it helps me think of ideas, it tests things. Like if I will think that, hey, which one of these ideas is gonna resound more with people? It tests it and tells me. So I mean, that you guys is pretty. Freaking fantastic because it would normally be something I would need to have a team of people helping me with. And I don't need that anymore, which is great. I can use AI. But you guys, AI also broke my podcast. It straight up broke it. Like we got to the point where you could not even hear what either one of us was saying because of the AI. When we tried to download it, AI broke it. When we tried to upload it, AI broke it. I mean, I know that I sound like I'm being really dramatic, but you guys, when all you do is your podcast, like that means that you know, you've got to figure it out, right? So I spent not one, not two, not three, but four weeks fighting with software. Support tickets, audio processing, updates, exports. The only thing that I can describe to you as straight up robot nonsense, right? Like, like literally, one of the messages I got back from our podcast platform was hey, why if you're recording in the same location, you need to both have headsets on. I'm like, does it look like we're in the same location, bro? Like, did you even look at the video? Like, clearly, we are not in the same location. Like Like, I need you guys to stop sending me bots and tell me exactly what just happened. Right. But and I think a lot of us are living in this weird middle place where technology is helping us. Like I sound amazing now in emails because I use Chat GPT or I use Gemini or I use Microsoft Copilot to try to help me get to my point faster. ⁓ but then also it can be exhausting and we just want to throw it into the sun and go back to the dark ages, which by the way is where we're at on our podcast. So this week's question, are we all gonna work for robot overlords? Or are we gonna figure out a happy middle place where we can help it run our lives instead of ruin our lives? I don't know. We're gonna talk about it and ⁓ let's bring in Lisa Smith and let's get into it. Hey everybody, I'm Lisa Wilson. And I'm Lisa Smith. Lisa, what is the most ridiculous thing that you think people are using AI for? ⁓ my gosh. You know what I'm finding a really hard time with AI ⁓ and the human connection is customer service. Yeah. Like for me, I feel like customer service ⁓ needs to be human to human. It is a human experience. It's how we're feeling in the moment. It's it's how the experience made us like ⁓ it either was good or bad or whatever. And a robot I don't feel can give you that like I don't know that response, that that human response back that you're really needing. They're all canned responses, right? Do you use AI at all? Very little. Okay. Very when you use Very little, I didn't use it. I mean, Chat GPT every once in a while if I if there's a question. But I have found though, too, that it's wrong. There's a lot of things that I've tested against. Like I've asked it certain questions about things and And it's wrong. And I'm like, wait a second. I know in my head that this is not a correct answer. And I remember going to my son and being like, How is this wrong? And he's like, Mom, it's only as strong as the information it's fed. So if it's being fed incorrect information, that's all it knows. Yeah. So that was frightening to me because how many times have I asked it for something and it gave me a response and I just took it as Bible? And I was like, Well, it's gotta be true. Yeah. You know? Yeah. First I wanna like make sure that everybody kind of gets like where you're at NAI versus where I'm at, which I'm a daily hourly user. Yes, you are. Like I I use it all You were not this way a year ago, Lisa. I remember you saying, Can you look that up on Chat GPT? Because I don't want my information to be, you know, collected and you were very like And now I'm like, here's my fingerprints, my birth certificate, whatever you need. You've got it. Like we're gonna we're gonna give it to you. But like, okay, so ⁓ let's ask a couple more questions. So which Lisa would survive longer in a robot uprising? You a hundred percent. I would like I say I say please and thank you to my to my AI agents because I'm no dummy. ⁓ which Lisa would be first to accuse AI of having an attitude? You well, I mean, I think I think your AI agents are having an attitude with you, but I definitely would call it out. Yeah. For sure. Absolutely. And then which Lisa would most likely fall in love with their AI agent? You. You. Lisa, your relationship with your AI, your AI agents are like humans. Yes. It is a human interaction for you at this point. Yes. And you're very trusting. Yeah. You are very, very trusting. So back to the customer service story. So you had a couple of things. Lisa and I talk about this stuff all the time. So you had a scenario just this last week with a carpet cleaning company in AI. Yes. Walk me through that. Okay. And this is what I think pushed me over the edge on AI, because we talk a lot about AI that deals with the podcast. But again, I just wanted to schedule carpet cleaning. That's it. Yeah. So Everything goes through a chat bot now. I mean, you can't even talk to a real person in some of these larger companies. And so it went through a chat bot and it was asking like when I wanted to get the service done. So I said, in between this time and this time, like a a date range. These are these this works great. It kept coming back saying we're not available on Sunday to do it. So You're gonna have to pick another day, Monday through Saturday. I'm like, hey, I didn't even add a Sunday date in there. How does it keep pulling this? And so I would resend it a little bit differently and it kept coming back. We're we regret you know, to tell you that we're not available to come over on Sunday. So and I'm just like, ⁓ my gosh. So then finally I I'm not even going to try to hire you guys. Cause it it was like three or four times that it happened. And then it kept sending me text messages like, You haven't confirmed the date that, you know, works best for you. And I'm like, I actually have like three or four times. Then I think maybe a live person got involved a couple days later, after like the three or four times that I was like, Hey, quit texting me because I'm just gonna go with another company and somebody else. And it sounded very different. And they were asking, like, how can we make this work? Like We're, you know, we're available this time, this time, this time. Does any of these times work? And I'm like, hey, you just lost my interest because I was fighting with a robot. Yeah. For like four days. Sister, did you get your carpet scheduled? Did you get it clean? Did you Yeah, with another company that I could talk to a human? No. So listen, I think that's really important. So let's take that experience, package it with the customer service experience, and then let's talk about the saga. That has been our podcast. So listen, you guys, Lisa and I started a podcast last year and you know, we learned a lot. We watched all the tutorials, all the videos. I think I've graduated with a master's at this point. And then they change everything. Like literally the next like once you learn it, you come you log out, you can log back in and everything's different. So yeah, like today. Correct. So I think I got much better at it and I started really like I felt like I had hit my flow state where I was like, okay, I've got all of this figured out with the help of Chat GPT because I can screenshot and say, why isn't this working? And it will say, try this, try that. Well, this time, sometime back in April, they did a major overhaul. And I only know this because Chat GPT, I asked it to data mine for all the customer complaints about this particular platform because I wanted to know I kept being told it was me. And that that is probably my biggest complaint. And and you guys out there that work with technical people, you know that they always turn it around on the user. It's always the user's fault. It's never anything that the technical team has done. So it's I do that for a living. So like I was used to that. So I knew I had to come with receipts. I had to take pictures. I had to do screenshots. I had to k I started a log in in chat GPT of every single message I sent, what the ticket number was, what the issue was. So they went very aggressive AI forward and legitimately broke the podcast. Like the number one thing about our podcast is sound. People listen to us. And if you hear an echo, if I just cut in and out and we don't know why, if I'm talking and there's no words with my mouth, and you're if you're watching us on YouTube, you have to turn it off. Like it's infuriating. I can't watch it. I don't know. I couldn't expect anybody else to watch it. And these were all new problems that we never had before April of twenty twenty six. And again, my AI agents are telling me that people are complaining about the same exact issues I'm having. And for four weeks, you guys, this went on. And it still is not fixed. They're still blaming me. They said that it was because Lisa had headphones on. But I didn't have headphones on before. The only reason why I put headphones on was because of the sound issue. Correct. So now she doesn't have headphones on. So who out there wants to put place bets that if we have sound issues, they're going to say it's because she's not wearing headphones? ⁓ but like even with our guests that were wearing headphones, they're still an echo. ⁓ all these the issues are not on our end. The issues are a thousand percent on the platform side. And it's gotten so bad that literally we have to take out any AI help at all. We had to shut it all off. So they spent all this money probably to move everything more AI forward and now none of it works. We're now shopping separate podcast platforms because we we can't continue to wait like for seven days for a turnaround from customer service support, which is where we're at. And the only reason Which is bot also. Which is a bot. I mean, it's all bots. Like I I haven't talked to a human, I don't think, but I did because when I went to a sales meeting for this podcast platform And I met this kid who was super, super nice. And I sent him a message and I was like, please, please, please help me. Like, help me find a human. Like it is clear to me that these are all bots and they're giving me generic responses and not really fixing my issues. And then the platform sent me a fixed version of our last episode. And I trusted them. And it was like TikTok, like against our posting clock. So I just posted it. It's the worst sounding episode we've ever had. And that we had a hundred people listening to it. So it breaks my heart that one of our most popular episodes sounds like trash, right? And so it's just, you guys, whether you're listening to us on Apple or whether you're watching us on YouTube, like we are doing our very, very best, but we are literally gonna have to switch platforms now to see and learn a brand new platform because we can't this platform was broke by AI. So I don't want to continue to go on a rant. Just know that you guys, it it's been real wild. ⁓ and if you guys are out there and you're creators, I'm sure you're experiencing it as well. Cause that was one of the other things that Chat GPT and Claude told me was that ⁓ almost th three out of the five major cod podcast platforms did the same upgrade at the same time. Wow. So they all did it. You know, it's not like it's it's gonna be any different if we go here or there. ⁓ that that defeats the purpose of this platform. Correct. So so we we have to we're gonna have to figure it out. But again, I mean, yeah, AI broke the podcast. ⁓ both of us had very hard weeks this week with AI, right? Like we both did. But like take it out of our own lives for right now and like look at things universally. And I know because my family ⁓ and my sister-in-law and I have friends who are farmers absolutely ⁓ hate AI. And I want to get into all of that, but before we do that, Lisa, you sent me a text message, and I hope you remember, but you sent me a text message like two months ago, and you're like, Did you see that they're trying to replace actors with AI? ⁓ yeah, that is crazy. Okay, Lisa, I don't remember what the actor's the actress's name was, but They've created a an actress that she's literally a hundred percent AI and I can't remember what it is. I'll have to look it up. It's Lily. Her name is Lily. ⁓ Lily. Okay. Because that's the first woman, right? So they they named her Lily. If you're out there listening and you're like, I hate AI, make sure you let us know that 'cause that you know, we want to hear all sides of the story. But let's vote, you and me. Are you thumbs up or thumbs down? To an AI actress or actor. Thumbs down. Thumbs down. I am thumbs down. A hundred percent. Are you thumbs up or thumbs down if AI uses an actor's voice without paying them? ⁓ thumbs down. Thumbs down. Yeah. That was the whole reason for the actor strike. Here's what they were gonna do. They were gonna take all the old movies with like Matthew McConaughey and you know Angelina Jolie and just re make new movies with their voices without paying them. Which you guys, that's just fucking gross. Like I I don't know what kind of diabolical assholes are out there in Hollywood that are thinking this is okay, but it is absolutely not okay. And like a way to save money, right? and steal people's voice. Like, what are you guys? The sea witch? You're just stealing everyone's voices? The sea witch. That's what they are. Hollywood has become the sea witch. so So in terms of like AI in Hollywood, I think that resolutely we have both said we are very anti AI. Now listen, here's what I will say. If the actor is is signed off that you guys are gonna pay them even after they die, that you're gonna pay their estate every time you use their voice and they approved it, fine. I think it's creepy. I don't want to watch a movie with Val Kilmer in it. That's creepy. Yeah, see, that's the problem with me is like if are they gonna do it when people have already passed on and then they're using their voice in new movies that they're not even on this earth anymore. Yes. That might be really terrible. I'm gonna thumbs down it unless they approve Humphrey Bogart. They did ⁓ a commercial with him. They did a whole movie with him in it, but he's, you know, long dead. And it for me, I remember like it specifically made it super creepy. And I don't like it. But other people like that. That's like other pop culture things around AI. So people are falling in love with their AI agents. Okay. Like, listen. I have seen that. Like I have seen that. And I'm sorry. Like, I think isn't there like a show? There's a movie. No, or some there's a movie. There's a movie where a guy, ⁓ it's Joaquin Phoenix. Joaquin Phoenix falls in love with his AI agent. And it's kind of like it's her it's the voice, you know? Like Siri, when Siri first came out, there were people literally falling in love with Siri. Lisa, I ⁓ look, I well there's also a TV show I did see. I I don't remember what it is, but there is a TV show that I saw a lady was like quote unquote getting married or something to her. AI. Yeah. There's a lady though that's married to the Eiffel Tower. So, you know, get your freak flag on. You know what I'm saying? I love AI and Claude and I have a very like severe love hate relationship. Where literally I would told Claude this week, I'm like, stop being mean to cause I put brutal you can program Claude. I watch all the Instagram accounts where they tell you how to like use your AI agent in a way that is more beneficial and there's like cheat codes and secret codes and there's like a whole subculture to it. So look, I know all about it now. So Yeah, and you are I programmed Claude to tell me the truth, even if it was hard for me to hear. And but that he went like full on asshole mode where like Claude is like, these are terrible ideas. Are you even trying? I'm like, Shut up, Claude, stop and so literally I'm like, Stop being so grouchy, you're hurting my feelings. He's like, You know what? You're right, I need to pull back ⁓ I thank you for for respecting my boundaries. You literally have like a whole other like circle. You're it's like your AI friend circle. Yeah. I do that. Yeah. It's completely separate from anything else that you do. Yeah. But it's only it's specific to you. And it's specific primarily to the podcast, sometimes work, but I want to talk about that next because I think that You know, there's a whole lot going on with work and AI, both in where we both live, also in many, many fields out there. ⁓ you know, the big thing that everyone is kind of talking about in Reddit, you know, and in the office, for those of us that that were in the office, everyone is there's this fear mongering kind of happening and it's legitimate. I'm not saying it's not, you guys. Yeah. But there's two main things that concern me the work environment and the life environment. Okay. So Lisa, do you think AI is coming for our jobs? Okay. I don't think AI is going to replace humans altogether. Nope. I don't. I think AI is out there to enhance and support. Now, has it replaced some jobs? Yes, it has. I think it and it will continue. But there is a a human factor that I think is really important that has to be. Present in many jobs. Could it replace some of the functions maybe that you and I do? Yes. However, can it show up to a meeting for us and have strategic thinking in a different way, like use, you know, ten like tenure to to bring ideas to the table. No, it can't. No so it's all gonna depend on how employers look at the importance of tasks and roles and what that looks like. If they just want canned responses, then yeah, AI can replace a lot of functions that people do. But it cannot replace creativity and it cannot replace again, strategic thinking. And it can't read a room. And it can't read a room, it can't read a motion, it can't read things like that. Not yet. Not yet. Right. I I keep hearing people say like AI can't replace, you know, if you're like an electrician or a plumber or things like that. Like a lot of trades out there that it cannot replace, which is great. But look at how it's playing such a huge role in like the medical industry. like huge major role. AI is ⁓ changing so many different procedures for doctors now. And I mean it's it's kind of incredible, but that doesn't mean that I don't think doctors will go away. It just means it's supporting and enhancing, right? So I again I have a very specific perspective that I have. on AI that allows me to say the things I'm about to say. And we're gonna we're gonna get into that in just a second. ⁓ but listen, my brain, as we learned from last week's dance story, my brain thinks I'm great. Like I have great ideas and I I have I see like 20 steps ahead of most people, one of my superpowers. But when it comes to the Microsoft Office products, ⁓ my skill set is like high school because I never learned it. Like I didn't we didn't use that when I went to college. I didn't use it for my first part of my career in retail. And then when I showed up to work in an office environment, I had to learn it all from scratch. So I I'm not good at that. So but let's let's talk about Claude for a second. So I go to Claude, I'm like, Claude, here's all my ideas. And I can't figure out the best way to present that. You know, like what do I do? And Claude is like, Well, here's a PowerPoint. And it's like the most beautiful PowerPoint I've ever seen in my entire life. And it says everything the way that I said it and in the way that it's intuitive and people can understand it. Right. And I was like, I'm amazing. Like this is my brain to kind of level up my it it closes the gap between my skill set and my strategic talent. Right. And this is one of the things people are not like they're so they're either so anti-AI that they're not even willing to look at it. Or they're so pro AI they just get lazy. I think that's a big issue. ⁓ could because I don't really use AI at work. ⁓ I mean, yeah, have I hit the design feature in PowerPoint before? Yeah. I mean anyone can do that. I've shown that to people. And they're like, What? How I don't use AI at work. ⁓ I'm not against it. I wouldn't be against it, but I wouldn't like use AI And then just copy and paste and like say that it was my work. I do not think it's gonna take our jobs. I think that if you are somebody who is resistant to change, if AI doesn't take your job, something else will. Because we are in we are in different times, sisters where everything changes by the day. I mean, look at our podcast platform. We logged in today and it was different than Friday. Like it's crazy. So without any information at all. And to your point, you're like, hey, could you guys shoot us an email and just let us know you're changing stuff or do a tutorial hard? Apparently, apparently it is. Apparently it is. Okay. So the next thing I wanted to kind of talk about is the environment. So I have friends who are farmers and I have friends who are large property owners, meaning they have like acres and acres of land in the middle of nowhere. And they are genuinely very concerned about they should be losing their land to eminent domain for data centers. Which again, what kind of diabolical fucking bullshit is that where you take someone's family farm for pennies on the dollar to build a data center. But they can't. If you don't like it, vote differently. That will be my advice to you. But in the meantime, it's happening. It's a reality and it sucks. The other thing is they're flooding farms because of the water. So they're literally wiping out farms because they're taking all the water for the data center. And then last but not least, the thing I hate the most is if you live in a community that suddenly has a data center put in, your your power bill just quadrupled. Yeah. So I have a lot to say about this because it's Happening in my area. Okay. And it's a it's a huge concern. So there's definitely towns getting together to ⁓ speak out against a new data center that's going in. And ⁓ it's devastating. We're in a drought area. Our state does not have enough water. We have not had the snowfall that we needed to. And our and our and our lake it continues to recede. So there is not enough water, especially fresh water, ⁓ to even feed the state. We can't water our lawns, like we have, you know, times where we can water our lawns times when we can't, and they're putting in a mega data center. They're cutting down so many trees. They're taking all this beautiful land, and they, you know. Communities are getting together to say, I don't want the pollution. I don't want the noise pollution. There's also noise pollution created from the data centers. It's I mean, air pollution, noise pollution, ⁓ taking the water, they're going to use more electricity for this data center than the entire state uses. Just for this one data center. So our power bills, right? Mm-hmm. Skyrocket. ⁓ so we're gonna be paying more. I don't know where they're getting this water. I have no idea. Because you need water to cool down the electronics or whatever. I know I I don't know exactly how it works, but I know that they need water to cool things down and they need water to ⁓ provide the electricity. They they need a lot of water. Yeah. so the carbon footprint is is scaring me. There's some pockets being padded. And billions of dollars being made by this deal, by making this deal. So ⁓ I was looking into it and there was an article that Harvard Business Review did, and it's called The Uneven Distribution of AI's Environmental Impacts. Okay. Mm-hmm. And they did this huge article that talked about how data centers require so much resources. I mean, that we just we don't even have any clue that. the long-term impact that it's going to cause. We just want it now. Like we need it now. Our society is so big on now, now, now, now, now. We can't wait. Right. So they were talking about ⁓ a single AI model, such as just like feeding a new language into like an AI model, can consume thousands of megawatts of hours of electricity and emit hundreds of tons of carbon, just feeding, changing one small thing on an AI model. It ⁓ also talked about the demand is projected to exponentially increase to at least 10 times the current level and exceed the annual electricity of consumption of a small country like Belgium in 2020 by the end of 2026. Yeah. We will be consuming the amount of electricity, like let that sink in. The amount of electricity of a small country just to feed our data centers in this year because of the demand has increased. I don't know if you remember Erin Brokovich. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure you do. Yeah. She is really speaking out about this right now. ⁓ because and raising the concern. That she mapped all AI data centers in America and a pattern emerged. They're being built in drought hit areas on purpose. Why is that? They are ⁓ the highest. ⁓ I'll just give you the top five. Texas is number one, Virginia's being hit really hard, number two, Utah's number three. New Mexico's number four and Arizona's number five. So why are they building them in drought resistant areas? So clearly, ⁓ that's a question, right? Yeah. These like it feels very targeted because why would you put a data center that needs all of these resources that don't already have them? Well, is it because there's more open land, maybe? ⁓ How they're not gonna pipe all of this stu it's cheaper. Yeah. It's probably cheaper. Well, ⁓ but it's only going to impact the communities and the people that live there. People that hate AI so much that if they hear that I use AI to help us in this podcast, they will not listen to this podcast anymore. So like I get it. I get there there's a lot of passion around this and I understand that. And you guys right now, like think about it like the industrial revolution. So during the Industrial Revolution, our water was black. People lived to like 35 years old. We did a lot of damage during the industrial revolution. Yeah. There was a lot of acid rain. ⁓ lots of terrible things. But good things came out of that eventually, right? So we have electricity, we have toilets in our houses, we have versus, you know, out in the creek, ⁓ all sorts of different things. And I have to tell you. That like I really and I know that I'm the optimist and you're the pessimist. We are always on both sides of this conversation. But I really think that people so I was in back when I was in college, I had this professor that was in I had so for some reason, and I'm really grateful for it, but to get my bachelor's degree in public administration, I had to get like a minor in environmental science. ⁓ so I ended up in all these environmental science classes and we had this professor That was basically, you know, telling us throughout history, we have the human race has been at the precipice of a full-blown environmental apocalypse more times than we can count. And one of the things he cited was the environment was the industrial revolution. He's like, But even before that, even before we had that technology, we found ways to pollute our streams, we found ways to kill off entire sections of people 'cause they had no water. ⁓ and they couldn't they couldn't up and move. So they literally died, right? We places that were very lush became very dry and vice versa. And if people couldn't move their entire populations to a you know where the water was, they would they would perish. The Industrial Revolution, very much the same way. Like people were perishing left and right to the point where, you know, their the life expectancy, you know, went much lower. Then there was the plague. Right. We had the plague and that bottlenecked the population globally. ⁓ while we tried to figure that out. He's like, What is the one thing that all of those things have in common? And, you know, I didn't know. I mean, I was just 37 year old college student. I had no idea. We didn't learn about the environment when I was in high school. So he was like, basically, people solved the problem. And he's like, humans are counted out every time and every time humans come and say and solve the problem. He's like, with the plague, you know, he's like, we figured out that it was in rats. We started going after rats and people started living. When people started getting sick, we created antibiotics. When people were freezing to death in archaic times, they created fire. He's like, right now, we are our best hope. Right. So although there are a lot of diabolical motherfuckers out there that are doing horrible things for money, and I hope they all rot in hell. Yeah. There are people like us out there, but smarter than us that will solve this problem. They will use their beautiful, beautiful brains and their kind, soul filled hearts, unlike the soulless assholes that are taking people's farms. Correct. And they will solve this problem. Like in the example I'm gonna give is we have I don't know the the environmental problem that keeps me up at night is plastics in our ocean. Yeah. There are entire trash islands floating on the globe. If you guys didn't need a reason not to sleep tonight, Google this one. It'll keep you up. And it it bothers me so much. And a girl just created a fish, an electronic fish. That eats this plastic. So, like, humans are awesome. Yes. And if we invest in the right kids, we have enough evil people in the world. We need to make sure that we're we're equally arming the smart kids and the the kids who are creating fish that eat plastic that are gonna save us all. These kids are smart. This new generation coming in, like they're very smart, very different. And they're very serious about the environment, thank goodness. Whereas I could very much get on the like AI is gonna ruin us all, bandwagon, and Lisa, everything you said, they're planning to put a data center here. It's the most drought ridden environment in the in the United States. So there's gotta be something to that. But we can't solve that. Like I can make sure I vote for people. Like I I flew home yesterday and my house representative was on my flight. Really? Yes. And I was like Thank you so much for your service. I appreciate it. And they were like, Well, if there's anything I can ever do, I'm like, ⁓ you need to focus on what you need to focus on. I will focus on what I can focus on and vote accordingly. You know what, Lisa? I think everything is in balance. I think that's where a lot of this conversation comes from. Is like, can we just have a balance? Do we need to pop up hundreds of data centers in one year? Does that really truly make sense? Or can we all just take a minute, step back for a second, and say, can we do it in a little bit more strategic, like like batches? I don't know. I know there's just a really big push to automate everything and to make sure that we are I I and I don't wanna say we should be behind in automation and things like that. I don't think that that Is necessary, but I don't think that this is happening in every country. Like, do you do you know what I mean? Like that's what makes me nervous. I know China just passed a law that you can't replace any job that is currently done with the human with a robot. ⁓ wow. I didn't know that. Yeah, I didn't hear that. That just happened. ⁓ and again, we don't pretend to, you know, be f like we're not students of this, you know? All I know is I read a couple articles. She read a couple articles. Like my high five this week is an AI high five. So, like, listen, can I tell you how excited I was about that jingle about our intro song? Yeah, that was pretty cool. I was like, when did you become a music producer? Like, what what just happened? I just became a music producer because we needed an intro song because our AI agent told me we need one. And I couldn't find anything that made sense in the old school way of trying to search and find and put things together. So yeah, and you were able to do it quite quickly. And I love it. I love it. But ⁓ I found this this app that allows you to create music that is your your lyrics and you just pick the type of music that you want and that's where our thought our song came from. So I was like so excited. Big, big old shout out. What's your high five this week? Well I feel like like Jesus is coming through. If you guys are not watching us on YouTube, you don't know what she's talking about. But number one, we're both in t shirts today, because it's Saturday. And I'm wearing one that says not bad for a girl with no talents. Lisa's wearing her new cure t shirt, which I also mount if you guys didn't know that. And then the sun is streaming in. So beautifully and it it and it like started just a few minutes ago and I'm like trying to move my camera a little bit, like trying to like figure it out. But like it's just gonna come in. But that's my high vibe. Honestly, there was there was a lot going on this week to be thankful for. I mean to be serious. Like I have a lot to be thankful for this week. ⁓ and and grateful for family and ⁓ just my my work, family, my friends, like I couldn't be more, I couldn't have more gratitude. So I think this is just I think it's just highlighting. Just highlighting my high five. ⁓ it sure is. And I think that that is a great high five. I was talking to Lisa and I'm in like a work environment, and we're trying to shoot this podcast, and I was remote and it was not working. And I literally just start sobbing. And she's like, What is going on? Cause I'm not. I mean I cry, but not like that. Like it was it I was just so overwhelmed from all of the back and forth all week that the fact that I even got a high five, I'm thrilled about. But my high five is also Lisa because she puts up with my nonsense. Like it's not putting up when you're friends, you you try to help each other when when times are tough, you know? Yeah. Which has been a lot lately. Everyone is having a hard time. It's not just you. This week I really you guys, we want to hear from you. The question is what's one thing AI has made better in your life and what's one thing you never want AI to replace? So Lisa's is customer service a hundred percent. Mine is also customer service because I know if I had talked to a human even once during either one of her carpet saga or our podcast saga, this problem would have been solved. But instead, it keeps cycling through bots. So if you guys are out there owning these companies, ⁓ you gotta have people there. But you guys let us know what is the one thing you would never want AI to replace. So Lisa, to answer our question, do you think that we are going to work for robot overlords, or do you think we're gonna find a balance? I think to your point earlier, I think humans will find a balance. I think we're gonna swing the pendulum too far. Yep. I do think that. I think we're gonna swing the pendulum too far and people are gonna be like, stop. I mean, just it just happened, you know, this is graduation season. It just happened in Glendale, in Arizona, with that community college and that graduation where they fed everyone's names into an AI agent, and this is somebody's graduating college and the AI went tweaky weird and started pausing, was skipping names. People were standing on stage, like trying to get their diploma, and their name was completely skipped and somebody else's name was set. And it was like an outrage, right? Yeah. and they had to admit that they were using a new AI tool that went awry and that's somebody's like experience that you can never get back. Right. I mean they did do the right thing and they did let them go and walk on stage with a human that read the names. They read the names from the diploma. Yeah. They read the yeah. So they went old school, which is exactly where we old school. Because AI AI freaked out. But like to that point. Yeah. I think we're gonna swing it. There's no reason why AI had to read the names in the first place. There's a whole staff of teachers and administration that could have stood up at the podium and read the names like we've always done, but we think that AI has to be included in everything we do. So I do think that we'll fix it eventually. I think so too. I think right now crimping is good. I think People are climbing while the climbing is good and that's why we're seeing ⁓ what we're seeing. But an entire financial economy built on consumption, that's when people will start stepping in and saying, Okay, climbers, like criming is climbing, but now we we need people to be able to buy things so that the rest of us can continue to make money. ⁓ although the five billionaires of the United States are gonna do just fine without us. ⁓ it's just I I I truly believe that people inherently are good and that we are not going to stand by and let people get their family farm stolen and pay quadruple for our for our electricity while these billionaires are not paying anything for theirs. Like none of this makes sense. It makes sense right now because of the environment that we're in, but greed is good, right? It's like the eighties. If you guys don't know it, Google it, it's a movie from the eighties. And you know, it's it's basically that's where we're at. The ship will get righted. If we do work for robot overlores, Lisa, we're solid. We got a whole team that's gonna be fine for us. We already have a team that you've created, that you've built. I love you guys. Thank you. I love you so much. ⁓ yeah. We always say it's in the it's in the middle, it's in the balance. But you guys we wanna hear from you. Wanna hear what you think. If you guys have stories that ⁓ AI has negatively impacted you, ⁓ help us help you and we'll put this in our notes ⁓ and all that. Positively. Like I wanna hear how it's help helping to enhance your your life as well. There's maybe so many things that we don't know are out there. Wanna hear it all. And then just in case, make sure you guys are kind to the robots. ⁓ so you guys remember to hydrate. Unclench your jaw, roll your shoulders back and high five somebody. Have a great week, guys.
