- Liam: Let's get into it, Jamie. Football's back this week. How you feeling? Jamie: Good Liam, it's been a long time 250 plus days, but now we're finally back week one preview. Let's go. Liam: Is it actually 250 plus days? Jamie: Yeah, 257 days since the last NFL Sunday. This Sunday. Liam: When you say it that way, it's quite mad. Jamie: Yeah, it doesn't go on long enough, but. Liam: You know, I like that there's a decent size off season because right now I'm like, I'm ready. I'm ready. Jamie: Now we're excited. Fantasy's kicking off. We're straight in. Week one. Liam: Yeah, we're into our draft period. We've been doing some drafts together. We've got a big one tonight, the last Jamie: big. Liam: one before the season starts. Jamie: Yeah, buzzing. I'm looking forward to first season with you guys and I could win it all. Liam: Good. Jamie: Probably might not. We'll give it a go. Liam: Willie, we'll see. This is the big time league, but there we go. So first of all, how have you been? It's our third pod. We've had our second holiday of the pod. We're actually Jamie: Yeah. Liam: both at home miraculously, but you know, how was your trip to Italy? Jamie: Good. One of my mates' wedding's in Tuscany. I arrived back last night about 11, well I got back home about 1 from the airport. We were meant to record this earlier, but Liam thankfully, graciously gave me few more hours in bed. But it's fine, I'm alive. I'm all good. Liam: Exactly. And obviously this is all recorded at the correct times and even better Jamie, Jamie: Mmm. Liam: you're saying you got back at one. Nothing like in the season when you're doing the late nighters for like Sunday night football anyway, is it? Jamie: Exactly, the games we've got, we've got Wednesday night football, Thursday night football, Saturday night football, Monday night football, or Sunday night football. Well into it. Liam: I even heard, what is it? There's an eight day week now. There's an eight day week just to fit in the eighth night of Jamie: just fitting all the games. Liam: the night of the week football. But yeah, the, but there we go. You're used to it. I don't even know why I needed to give you some sleep. So going, going forward next week, we're both away again. So for the fourth, it's going to be three holidays of four podcasts. I'm off. I'm coming back from a stag doing Benetorm. You know. Jamie: Nice. Liam: the Marmite of European destinations. And where are you off? Jamie: I've got a nice retreat in Snorfolk. Lovely. It's Liam: Snowfuck. Jamie: of, it's Suffolk-y Norfolk-y. You know what mean? It's sort of Liam: rice. Jamie: like, it's close enough. So good old Snuffolk. Liam: Yeah. Snuff it. Cool. I didn't know. Like I love, I like a countryside retreat, but you know, I was thinking some of the city folk would be like snore folk might be like, bit of a, bit of a snore, you know, but there we Jamie: Norfolk. They're gonna Google it. Liam: go. It's like, I didn't realize there was a lovely area called snore folk. Jamie: That's a lovely air called Norfolk. Liam: Yeah, but cool. So like you said at the beginning, this is going to be our flagship show. It's going to be the game previews of the week. So we're going to have a quick breakdown of each game and who we both think are going to win. We're then going to do a Forkum section. Then we've got the Forkem section. So when we're doing it, when we're going to fork a team, we're saying they're done for the year. They're not making the playoffs each week. We're going to add a new team and that team is according to Forth and T podcast, not going to make the pod, not going to make them, not going to make the playoffs. so Jamie: Welcome to join the pod. Liam: when they're to join, they're going to join the pod and they can argue away. Any fans argue with us, then we're going to go into a fantasy start of sit them. We're going to pick one star and one sit each. And then we're going to have a quick final section for the flagship show. It's a survivor pick. We're going to keep a track of this as we're going along the season. Me and Jamie, we're going to go pick for pick mano a mano. Team versus team, little survivor league. Take your tips from us if you want. And just, you know, do you learn for the ride? So yeah. So Jamie, how's that sound? Jamie: Sounds fantastic. Liam: So I'm going to kick us off with the season opener, the replay of the Superbowl Patriots at the Seahawks. So obviously the reigning champs, my beautiful Seahawks. Again, for the audio listeners, I'm pointing at my Seahawks top. There we go. So they've got the Patriots coming. In my opinion, this is going to be A slightly one-sided match. think this is not much of a preview, but I think Drake May, he's bouncing back, but he's coming up to Seattle. He's going to have to deal with a raucous crowd. He's going to have to deal with the champions who I don't think they've taken many steps back. And I think that they absolutely dominated the Patriots last year. Couple little injury issues, but that's like, you know, that's what all teams have to deal with. So I think basically the New England Patriots are coming up. Can they outdo the Seattle defense? I don't think so. I think the Seattle offense is going to go just as smooth as it was previously. So I think that Price is going to fill in the hole that Kenneth Walker left. As much as I love Kenneth Walker, think Price is going to step up. And I think there's the Halani tribe. Some people love him. Just the next running back off the block. I also think that JSN is going to carry on where he left off as well. I don't see how people are stopping what he was. I think he could have even been busy with the Super Bowl. There was some heroic defense that actually stopped him from some big plays. So based on that, I think it's going to be a competitive match. I think it's going to be a win for the Seahawks though. Have you got anything to add or to disagree with? Jamie: No, don't disagree. think it will. I don't think it'll be that competitive, actually. That's pretty sad, isn't it, for the Patriots? Liam: I think competitive in that if they won, I wouldn't be mortally shocked. Jamie: I don't know. think Drake may new new receiver. Obviously his blank, I guess his safety blanket was like it was booty, right? The deep threat. Now he's got AJ Brown, doob's doob's good player doob's. So you end up, I just don't see, I don't see the pages going away to Seattle opening night Seattle win. Liam: Loud stadium, Seattle win. Cool. Okay. Jamie. Jamie: Yeah, here we go. So we're flying all the way from Seattle. We're going to go into Melbourne, Australia for the first down under for the, Liam: Honda! Jamie: I can't do an Aussie accent. I was going to do shrimp on a Barbie, but I'm even going to attempt it because I don't, neither of us did. Liam: Mate, I don't think I did a Nazi accent. Jamie: yeah, first game in Australia, NFC West clash, San Francisco come into it with less injuries than last season. Obviously couldn't get any worse. Mike Evans, three year deal from the Bucks. Obviously for the audio listeners, Liam's got a lovely little Mike Evans top behind him. He is also a Bucks fan. Liam: greedy supporter. Jamie: We'll go through all the teams that Liam loves. yeah, mean, yeah, Mike Evans, he's apparently doubtful for the game. But apart from that, obviously Fred Warner should be back and yeah, and Bosa as well from there. season ended injuries last season. So there'll be, there'll be back obviously for the Rams, Aaron Donald signs. He didn't, had Monday off, but they just said it's his, just his normal day off, which means he's probably benching 300 pounds in the gym for fun. As he, Liam: Exactly. Jamie: as he always does. And obviously that tandem in miles Garrett. Good. Obviously Jared first lost, but still the miles Garrett coming in that trade from Browns. and I can't see anything else than a Rams win in this one. Liam: I'm going to throw one row thing out there for this game. Jamie: go on. Liam: It's in Australia. Jamie: It is Down Under. Liam: The flight, the flight is down and I think the flight is huge. And I think it's more in the players heads than anything else. But the 49ers are going to be there for eight days. Like they're there now. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I think the Rams are flying in and landing like eight hours before the match. Jamie: I think they did that for the UK game last year, didn't they? And they just come Liam: Yeah, something like that. Jamie: in, didn't spend much time. One went off. Liam: But to me, that's a much more manageable flight. So anyway, in my opinion... It depends on if the 49ers scientists have worked out that that's a better way of performing after landing. And if it does work, I mean, the scientists, they're working out the planes, they're working out the substations, can't work out the substations. So Jamie: I can't work at a substation. Liam: maybe they can't work out the planes. But if I think that the flight, the irregularity of where the match is, the novelty, the travel. that might throw a little bit of something into the works. Jamie: Who have you got? Liam: I've got the rams 100%. I can't see anything else but the rams. So I think we're aligned on that. I think I'd say. Jamie: Yeah, 100%. Pick the rams. I think I'd say good. I do think we do say rams in Liam: Great. I think we're aligned on that. I think I'd say. Perfect. Ramps. Locked. Jamie: locked. Liam: So next game up with me, it's the Buccaneers at the Bengals. Jamie: Interesting one. Liam: Yeah. So in my opinion, what we've got is two potentially high powered defenses, defenses, two Jamie: Not Dave Vance's. Liam: potentially high powered offenses. Both can unlock and take off. Then we've got two defenses that one, the Buccaneers can be good, can make plays. didn't perform to its best last year. Partially a good amount to do with injuries. They've revamped the pass rush. The Bengals, everyone's just been saying for ages now, if they can just sort the defense, imagine what they could be. Well, maybe it would be injuries, but that Bengals, they've got Boy Maffe from the Seahawks. They've got Dexter Lawrence. They've signed a load of free agents. So you've got some stars in there. You've got way more depth. So to me, if, if somebody's defense can step up, I mean, the question marks are, the books what they was at the beginning of last year? I can't see why they wouldn't be if they're all fit now. Eggbook has got a toe injury, but they've got a lot of receivers. and I think Chris Godwin's going a little bit underrated. think Otton's going a little bit underrated as well as a tight end. To me, he is the multi-tool of tight ends. There's so many blocking or. receiver slash tight ends. He's the, he's the full package, but because he just doesn't dominate one category under the radar, obviously Chris Godwin, you know, a couple of years ago, where was he going in drafts for fantasy? Like he's like top three, four rounds and he was a, you know, he, when you were league. So that can be singing. I don't think anybody's doubting, Burroughs, Chase, Higgins. The only thing that they've got apart from last year is this curse of losing all these games at the beginning of seasons that have it to just dominate down the back end to get in the playoffs if they can, but they haven't been to the playoffs in three years. It is in Cincinnati. I think the most unproven unit is the Bengals defense, even though I can imagine something happening there. So my pick is the Buccaneers. 100 % unbiasedly. Jamie: yeah, all Bengals, all Bengals. Yeah, Bucks. Yeah, lovely. Liam: Don't think I said all bangles, Jamie: No, without Trey Hendrickson, it's obviously going to be a lot tougher for him. As you said, that was going to be my thing. was like every single season they seem to start 0 and 4, 2 and 3, 1 and 4, you know, they've been a struggle the last couple of years. So because of that, I'm going to go for the Bengals. Liam: Okay, yeah. Jamie: yeah, as an old bias Panthers fan against the, the bucks of photo honesty, South, competitor, we need all the games we can on our division rivals. So, I'll back Joe burrow. And interestingly, if, listeners of the pod last week are two people that we picked out to be pivot seasons is Baker Mayfield and Joe burrow. And they come up against each other in week one of the NFL season. So Liam: It's almost like we think about these things, Wow. Okay. Jamie: It's almost like we planned it, it's pretty good. Wow, who'd thought? Liam: Okay. So I'm Buccaneers and you're the Bengals. Jamie: Yeah, that's the first one we're going to disagree on, probably not the last one. Liam: Meow. There we go. Jamie: Alright, who we got next? Liam: So bears, panthers. Jamie: Bears Panthers, well, okay, here we go. NFC North champions against the NFC South reigning champions from last season. Liam: Yeah. Nice. Jamie: Got to get there as long as I can. Liam: You know it's nice. Jamie: You know, eight and nine, 11 and six, whatever. still, wins a win. We still got a banner up probably. Liam: Mmm. Jamie: Obviously there's a lot of history between these two teams with the number one picks and DJ Morris, you go into the bears at the time for, for us to get Bryce young, which then funny enough meant that the next season, the bears got Caleb Williams because of our first round pick position. So that's fine. Panthers wise, we have 40 % of our own O line is currently out injured. so that's a good start. Bryce young got his first 3000 yard season last season bears. Never gonna have a 4,000 yard passing quarterback and Kayla Williams isn't going to do it this season either. Last time we did play each other, Bears beat us 36-10. But no DJ more. All they've got is a Dindzi. Pampers are loaded now. Young Ta... Who cares? Young... Liam: Luther Burden. Loveland. Jamie: I'm not having a lot of... He's okay. Liam: Swift. Jamie: No, he's passed it. Have you not heard of... Yeah, I he's injured. Liam: Manunggai, I think he's going to be injured, but yeah. Jamie: to to the Liam: Can I name that many players on offense, on the Panthers? You can. Don't look at Jamie's background with all of his Panthers stash. Jamie: I can name you every single one of them. We've got, okay, obviously Bryce Young in his prove it season, right? Straight away. He's got a Tett, got Koka, we've got Tuba, Jonathan Brooks. Even though he feels like a rookie, even though he's been here the third season, two ACLs back to back. Good draft pick that one. It could be good this season. AJ Dillon, we've got a a Keriky. lying back as we're stacked. goodness. I see nothing but a Panthers win. So I'm going Panthers. Tell me, you tell me bears gone. it. Liam: Bye. I am unsure. I want to go with you a little bit. Jamie: It is a difficult one to be fair. Liam: It's at Carolina to give you something. Jamie: Mm. Liam: I think Carolina can play teams well. If I think about the units. I think the Panthers defense is upgraded, but in theory, so might be the Bears defense. I the Bears offense is good. Do I think, do I know that the Panthers offense is good? Jamie: Young unit. Liam: I can't, I don't think this is not going to keep, this is not going to fly us. Keep this a grid on this. I, again, home team advantage. Jamie: John Metchie wire receiver as well. Liam: This is tough. I honestly think this is the first, this is the, to me, you were so obviously on it with the Bengals, but I think that this is a tougher pick than the Buccaneers Bengals. Jamie: no, I think it is. I think it is. think history-wise... Liam: That makes no sense to me, Jamie. Jamie: What? It is a tougher pick, but it is tough folks. Liam: But you just, you just hedged it. You've gone with the old, you know what? Let's hedge it with Panthers, bears Jamie: You know I'm gonna go PAMP for 17 over this season. Liam: away, bears away. Panthers had like no defense last year. If they can do a defense, they can do some bits. Also, I know that there's a bit of a narrative. All of these, all of these, all of these AFC North teams coming down. got that right, haven't I? yeah. Jamie: NFS, NFS ignore. Yeah. Liam: Oops. AFC, NFC. Anyway, all these teams coming down to these NFC South, gosh, teams. Everyone's Jamie: There you go. Liam: coming down to try and smack us up. And I don't think we're, I don't think that the NFC, I'm, you know, deep down, maybe Jamie's not the same as me, but I'm still backing NFC, NFC South a bit. So yeah, let's go Panthers. Jamie: When the outside world keeps saying how bad the NFC South Division is then I get up and I'm like, no no, we're all good. It's just a bloodbath. Yeah, Liam: You're like, no, no, except for the books. Jamie: no no, no no. I hate the dome as well. I hate the dome. But anyway. Panthers, we like it. Liam: Anyway, we don't gris. Okay, so Panthers locked. Browns at Jaguars. So, I haven't got a lot to say about this one. There's not a lot I like about the Browns. Like, not at all. And I think they've got some good offensive weapons, some good players on defense. I just really disliked the organization. the decisions that they make, can't trust them. You don't want to get on board with the decisions they make and the quarterback situation in the bin. So I'm going Jaguars all the way. I'm going Jaguars for the win. I actually just like the Jaguars. I like all of their units. I think they're okay all round, but I don't think we need to spend much time on this one. I think just Jaguars for the win. in Jamie: Checkers for the win. Liam: Duval. Duval. Jamie: To the... Liam: Yeah. So. That's it. Not much time on that one. Nice and easy. And also, spoil any power rankings in the future. The Cleveland Browns are going to be my bottom of the barrel, soggy, muggy, muggy team. Whatever the Jamie: BOMB Liam: disparaging, soggy biscuit of a team that we're going to say, which is probably a very dishaunting, that's what they're going to be. bottom every week. Jamie: Loves a massage. Yeah, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: easy Jaguars pick. I don't see how Browns didn't touch him. Liam: Nice. Right. You're up next with Ravens at Colts. Jamie: Ravens at Colts, the Fulton T team for the season, the Baltimore Ravens traveling to Indianapolis, AFC South Colts. Liam: Hang on, cue the bird noise. Jamie: The Colts I think are in an all or nothing season. I think they've got to prove it and they've got to prove it against a Super Bowl contender in the Baltimore Ravens. Now they stacked a bit now on defense as well. Hendrickson in. It's just that easy. Save flowers, better than whatever Colts have got. Great. Liam: Safeflow is great for moving the chains. Jamie: Mark Andrews still hasn't really recovered from his drop a couple of seasons ago in the playoffs, but again, solid tie end. Sorry, Mark Andrews for that one. But Colts went all in on a WR2, he's been a WR1. was doubtful, it looks like he's going to make it anyway to play the game, so he's back from injury for it. Will he help that much? Probably not. At home is the only thing I can give the Colts, but for the shoe, you know, I don't see the Colts winning this one. Liam: for this year. Yeah. Agree. Ravens. So Jamie, we're locked. Jamie: We're locked. Who would have thought we're going to back the fourth and T team for the season? Liam: Very true. I just don't know if the cults are cooking on gas, you know. Jamie: No, think Jonathan Taylor is going to slow down productivity as well for the season. Liam: I do love Jonathan Taylor. just, yeah, you can just load up the box. Warren has to be special. Pierce has to really step up. Someone else has to step up just to just spread the defenses out and make some holes a little bit. So Jamie: don't think I got enough. Liam: I agree. don't think they've got enough. So yeah. Okay. Well, we're locked on the Ravens. Okay. So I'm up next. Saints at Lions. Now I like this game. I... I'm, I'm quite excited by this game. It was in a draft. Maybe that's how we do this for watching, but I think the Saint at Lions could be a, and we hate to hear this, a mark that the Saints have arrived in some way that could threaten other teams. I just think they've got another year under the belt with their head coach. shook full off season as the number one quarterback of the team, getting more used to the weapons. I mean, they lost their, they lost their new wide receiver to an injury, but more familiarity with the larvae. They've now got Travis Etienne still trying not to say, Travis. No, it's Etienne, not Etienne. That's what I'm trying not to say, you know, Jamie: I chat. Liam: so they could have a good running game. They could have a good passing game, you know, they decent defense, good home field. They could announce themselves as a bit of a team. I just think they're up against the Lions. I just think are going to be fireworks this year. I love the Lions. just love their offense. I love what they might be. Amanraah St. Brown, JMo, Jamison Williams for the non-super fans. you know, and I like the fact that they've even been quiet in camp about him. Like he is now just like being way more of an adult professional. That man is lightning. Gibbs. He isn't, I think not only have they got the easiest schedule out of any team, but I think the Lions have the easiest schedule against running defenses out of anybody as well. mean, maybe those things are lined up. I love Le Tissla. I don't know how you say that, that, that little wide receiver. love, even when Pacheco's back, I actually think that's a nice little relief back rather than a goal line back like Montgomery was. I think Goff's good. don't think he plays outdoors until like week 13. So I think buzzed for the Lions to see what they're going to be. I just think the Saints might announce themselves as a bit of a team, but the Lions are going to just be all fireworks at home season opener on picking the Lions. Jamie: I'm also picking the Lions. Liam: Yee-haw! Jamie: I don't have an agenda against every other NFC South team, by the way. It seems to be the case, but Liam: Yeah. Jamie: I actually do like Shuck as well. think he's going to be the next best thing in the NFC South. Next banker. He's still cooking. Liam: I think he's saying next Baker Mayfield. No, he's, don't know why. don't, yeah. Jamie: I like him. He's going be decent. I think Lions got too much. too much for the first game of the season. Liam: Awesome. Well, I went a bit on that one, but here we go. You're up Jamie. Another exciting game. Bills at Texans. Jamie: Now this, think it's got the, it probably is game for me. It's game of the weekend, right? You've got two teams that you expect to be there or thereabouts, right? In visual round end of the season, you think, right? You've got Bills who surely has to be their season, right? Obviously Josh Allen at the helm, new offense, well obviously his old offensive coordinator now head coach as well. So probably a bit more impact on offense going forward as well. DJ Moore, good weapon for him to have. But then Texans defense is electric. They don't need to rush. Liam: Mm-hmm. Jamie: They don't need to rush what three at a time. They probably still get close there. They're about maybe four if they really want to. They keep the Texans in games. Liam: the train. Jamie: If they try and make it interesting like against Patriots last season. They Liam: Yeah, in Houston. Jamie: in Houston. I'm still going to build Liam: I'm going bills as well. Jamie, we're locked. Jamie: that. I don't know what it is. It's just something about. It's got, well, we said it on last week's show, think it's got to Bills' season realistically, at least get to the Super Bowl and try and win it, right? But Texans do keep themselves in games, but I offense to offense, think Bills probably got a bit more. So I'll back Bills to win that one. Liam: the bills. Awesome. Okay. Falcons at Steelers. So I think this is one of the more wet flannel games of the week. I literally look at that lineup and think, Cool. Of all the games I'm going to be watching. Cool. the Aaron Rodgers Steelers offense excite me? Not massively. Does the, I think he got, yeah, he got announced yesterday as the starting quarterback. Does the Tua Tunga-Vai Loa comment on his own social media posts, giving himself a little spirited Jamie: you Liam: uplift. Not that, I actually found that quite upsetting. I like it. And I thought, Jamie: I actually quite like it. Liam: I'm sorry to her. I'm sorry that you feel you have to do that, but that's not what I want from a starting quarterback that I want to support. I felt bad for his mental health and for his like, you know, personal life. And I want to be his friend because of it. But what I don't want is for them, for him to be my starting quarterback. I mean, there's some players that excite me. I think that obviously Bijan, Bijan Robinson Jamie: be shown. Liam: on the Falcons, amazing player. Kyle Pitts excites me this year. Kyle Pitts excites me. He excites me every year, but he excites me even more this year. Okay. Drake London. Throw him the ball. See what happens. Let's do that, Falcons. Jamie: he makes things happen. Liam: My problem is I don't know if they can do any of those, help any of those players out in any way. Like if you put those three players in a lot of other teams, you're thinking, super bowl contenders. And on the Falcons, I think, wow, can they get them the ball regularly? Aaron Rogers again, I didn't even bother to name his offensive weapons because they're, they're a bit boring. don't get me wrong. I like Warren. He's going to catch a few passes in the backfield. I actually think that Pittman is going to be a nice red zone weapon. And I think he's going to get, you know, a little bit of action. He's a good fantasy, like late round value pickup. Defense Steelers. can't see any more upside than last year on the Steelers defense, Falcons defense. I don't even think about it. So again, I have no massive amount of skin in the game. Again, we're not trying to be anti other teams at NFC South, but I'm going with the Steelers because I think the Steelers defense is the best unit they're at home and I can't see two are overcoming that. Jamie: Imagine if Tua somehow goes there and wins though. It could be like surprise of the season. Yeah. Liam: NFC South on fire. Best li- yeah. Anyway, are we locked? Jamie: Of course we're locked here. I mean, like you said, those that unit that the Falcons actually got any other team. They are what some of the best defensive weapons with two are. Yeah. He also needs to log out and log into his other burner account to support himself a bit more. But yeah, Liam: Yes. Jamie: we are we are locked in for that one. Liam: Locked in. Jets at Titans, Jamie. Jamie: Yeah, thanks for this one. when we do, do know what? Liam: The other wet flannel. Jamie: The other went flannel. I mean, Gino Smith's back at the jets. I haven't got anything else for the jets. No. Garrett Wilson, yes, I know. Okay, running back, Horrendous O-line, wow. Liam: What is happening with their first round? What is happening with their Jamie: Ugh. Liam: tight end and why do they drafted? Jamie: I don't know. mean, jets, they just they just don't know what they do every single season is pretty impressive. It's pretty depressing. I think the last five years, they got the losingest record in the NFL alongside the funny enough, the the Giants and the Panthers. So just to lose, obviously, Titans, I actually think times be right this season. They're not going to be as bad as last season. Camwald, think second, it got over 3000 passing yards. So he wasn't really passing it that much last season. Tony Pollard's decent enough as like a good starting running back solid. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. She looks all right. So Liam: He looked like he's got a bit of his legs back in pre-season. Yeah. Jamie: I can't see jets getting anywhere near this one. It's Titans all day, but it's a, it's a one that you don't, you know, it's on red zone. It's like, it pops up. We might, it might even pop up. Could just be loads of field goals. So Liam: You Jamie: Hopefully not based on those 6 p.m. Games. They've just snuck in that you don't actually have to watch properly, but obviously we'll watch it and review it for you guys to see that you don't have to Yeah Liam: Wet flannel two. There we go. Yeah. Jamie, we're locked. I'm going with the Titans. Jets, I just feel weird. It's some child's fever dream that they didn't understand the NFL and they had a dream that Gene Smith would come back one day and he's back. The Titans, if Cam Ward can hold up his end of the deal of being a first overall pick, I think Carnell Tate could be quite good. I think he had... He didn't catch it. didn't freeze season, but I think, you know, we forgot that he was an amazing prospect in college and we're talking about all these other wide receivers and yeah, I think they could be good. So yeah, that's it. We're locked next game. Commanders at Eagles. Not much to say. The commanders are a bit of a damp squib. I don't think I believe in many of their units. I believe in Jayden Daniels, but I don't think that they even tried to help him much this off season. Like. Do we think there are any improvements on the offensive line? Not really. Do we think there's been much added in the way of weapons? I mean, digs? Yeah. Significantly though? No. Starting running back injured. Eagles, I like them for a bit more of a bounce back. I think their offense is just going to work better for them. I like AJ Brown, but I think that there's going to be a bit less ego about the offense. So I think they're going to... ramp up on what happened last year. I think the tush push is going to be back. I want to see it. And the defense awesome at home. Can't see anything else. The Eagles. Jamie: We are locked. It is the Eagles. Liam: LOCKED Jamie: Locked in. Love it. Yeah, I mean, I think we mentioned it as well on the very first show. It'd be like a JSN type for DeVonta Smith this season, the way they're to use him moving around the field. So, yeah, nothing more than an Eagles. We can't see commanders doing much again. Although I feel sorry for McLaurin every single season because I think he's unbelievably talented. Please just leave. Liam: Get traded, man. Now that you've got some money now, you've got loads of money, get traded. Cool. Jamie: Just get Tray to any good team going for the actual playoffs this season. It be nice to see him because I actually think he's one of the best out there. Liam: I think he's great as well. yeah, but anyway, Packers at Vikings, Jamie. Jamie: Yes, we could have, we might actually disagree here, won't we? But I love Green Bay, right? Unless the Panthers play them. Obviously. John Love. Love it. Good quarterback. And I've got nothing. I don't like the Vikings. There's something about the Vikings I just dislike, right? Now you've Liam: Okay. Jamie: got Kyle Murray's gone in there. He's going to be QB1 for the season. could actually work out quite well for him. They have the potential to do, he could do something there. Obviously Jefferson, Addison, good wire receivers for them. The Packers, obviously Mika Parsons also out. I might be talking myself out of the Packers here. This isn't going well. Yeah, obviously he's out as well. So I think... I'm still going Packers, who cares? Green Bay, it's a good old divisional match to start off the season. It's going to say a lot, think, for the rest of the season, depending on, and Packers, I think, are such an unknown going into the season now. Liam: Yeah, I mean, not to spoil it later, but I'm going to be saying to avoid Green Bay as my fantasy, leave them out, drop them, but sit even. I am going to disagree, say Vikings, but. Jamie: I can see why. Liam: That's fine. Cool. So next game on the bill, Cardinals at Chargers. Again, to give the Cardinals their flowers a little bit. I think if a lot of teams had the offensive weapons that they had, I think teams would like their team. Fans would like their team. I think they are just in probably one of the hardest divisions that must have ever been assembled. You know, it's like, my gosh, this division, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man. Jamie: Iron Man. Liam: And then they've got, you know, they've got like, Jamie: Hawkeye. Liam: Yeah. You know, yeah. They're Hawkeye. What does he do? this guy is a, Jamie: Yeah, he can shoot some arrows. Liam: he's a Nordic God with lightning coming out of his hammer and he's stronger than anybody in the universe. And then this guy has a bow and arrow and you go, okay, cool. anyway, not to be a spoiler, but the Chargers healthier than basically all of last year, Herbert Hampton, Quinten Johnson, Jamie: tone. Liam: who I love. lab, McConkey, I just think they got offense is going to be singing. think they've got a decent defense. They're at home. Not that know if that counts as a massive home field advantage, but it's not an away field that they have to get over. So I'm going to go with charges. Jamie: Yeah, charges. I don't think I don't Liam: We're locked. Jamie: think Carlos got a chance. Liam: Next game. Dolphins at Raiders. Jamie: These are like... Was it? Yeah, it really is. Wet flannel. I Liam: Damskrub3. No, wetflannel3. Damskrub wetflannel3. Yeah. Jamie: think Miami Dolphins have brought together one of the worst defensive rosters I think I've ever seen. They've got rid of any good defensive players I think they've got. Obviously, Jaden Phillips gone to the Panthers. I've got to get mentioned in them when I can. Off the Panthers, any opportunity. Best defensive weapon they had is gone. Rays on the other hand, they've been spending a load of money. Liam: Jamie's Raiders. Jamie: Jamie's Raiders, Tom Brady's Raiders. Shout out Crossbeat. I've got guys, Liam: Jamie, try to go Vegas, try to go Vegas. I've just got to go and watch the Vegas Raiders. I've just got to go to watch the team. Jamie: them? Great stuff. Lovely stadium. Allegiant stadium. you know, and great season tickets. Never seen them being been sent out, but they are stunning in the box. You lift it up. Liam: Mm hmm. Fantastic. Jamie: It looks unbelievable. And they still got paper tickets as well. So shout out to the Raiders. Max Crosby loves it so much. He's going to stay there with a bad back and no legs basically, but, I can't see anything, cousins as well. he's going to be wearing chains as well. After this one is going to be a, it's going to be a blowout. I think the Raiders are going to demolish the Miami dolphins in week one. Liam: Jamie? We're locked. You thought I was going to go Dolphins, because I do like Malik Willis, but Jamie: Yeah, I so. Liam: I think I like him for fantasy. just don't, I can't see, I can't see where they're going to get a win from. Unless, you know, it's like a safety off against the Jets. Jamie: I can't wait to preview and review those ones. They're gonna be fantastic. Liam: Yeah, so can't, yeah, can't. Okay, we're locked. Perfect. Kerco chains for the win. Cool. So I've got Sunday Night Football, Cowboys at Giants. Cool game. I, signature uniform game, signature fan base game. Quite like everything about this. Except for the Giants roster. Yeah. No, I think Cowboys defense most likely improved Cowboys offense again might actually be improved because of health. Love the ceiling of the Cowboys offense. Giants, I actually think the Giants are going to be okay. I think they're going to be okay. I just think they're not the Cowboys. They're at home. I've been to the Giants stadium in the meadowlands. And it's cool. And it felt like it was a home field advantage when I went there. It felt, it was buzzing, right? It was awesome. I just think the Cowboys are a bit of a beast and I can't see the Giants quite beating them. Is Neighbours back? Is Scataboo actually going to be like, you know, all singing and dancing? They just dropped Slayton, who I think they've been trying to get rid of forever. because they can't find anybody else to replace him. I'm not even sure that they've replaced him. And I'm just thinking, I'm not certain where, I'm not sure where the ceiling is. So I'm going to go with the Cowboys. Jamie: Not even OBJ back. Liam: I don't love OBJ, but I don't know if they're Jamie: yeah Liam: replaced later with OBJ. Jamie: on there and Scatterby wants to consider retirement every time he gets injured so that's a good one that's that's what we want to hear just before the season starts. Liam: Jack Jackson, dark in the blue tent again. He's been in the blue tent 50 % of the times that he ends, he goes in the I think he should just not run. that only way to stop him? Jamie: He needs to, he has to protect himself. And I think he's. Yeah. He doesn't, he doesn't know how to, Hopefully hard walk and help that, but well, the amount he made. Liam: He needs to put like five, you know, like a swear jar and he's like, I ran again. Five thousand, five thousand. But you know, Jamie: I run again. Liam: so yeah. So who are you going for? Locked. Come Jamie: Cowboys... Locked. Liam: on. Right. Last game of the week. Broncos Jamie: Last game. Liam: chiefs, Good. Jamie: Good Monday night football, AFC West. I actually have no idea where these two rosters are going to be at. Right. I don't know what the, how they're going to look quarterback wise. Right. It's the battle of the fittest, isn't it? Who comes back looking better? Will Mahomes, Liam: Mmm Jamie: will he look normal? Would he be able to actually move around a bit? Bo Nix was decent as well last season. I can't remember what I saying. It's hour ahead, Monday night football. The obvious answer is cheap, isn't it? To win. Liam: think it is. Jamie: But I'm going Broncos. Liam: No! Jamie: I'm going upset at Arrowhead. Hopefully Monday Night Football to round off week one. That is a Liam: Big upset. Jamie: big upset. Liam: I think the Broncos are going to get it done outside of this match. I think that I've seen a lot more from my homes and Bo Nicks to trust one of them coming back off an injury. So I love both these teams. I'm going to go in my homes and I'm going to go with the Chiefs. Next up, Forkem. Have you got a team, that pre-week one, you're guaranteeing isn't going to the playoffs? And just to recap, every team we're going to pick, every week we're going to pick a new team that we haven't mentioned. It's going to get harder as go along. But Jamie, who you going to start off with? I'll either agree or disagree or suggest a different team. Jamie: Easy one, you actually mentioned it earlier. You said, how are they going to win a game? And it is the Miami Dolphins. They are forked. Liam: Your fork in the dolphin. I've got one thing that I want to disagree with about this. From a moral point of view, I want to fork the Browns. I want to fork them into the last first people out of the playoffs. Is that only come back? I've got. Jamie: Okay, yeah. I think they're both, yeah. I think they could be 32 and 31 in the power rankings. Liam: Okay, forked. Push, Jamie: forks. Liam: put that noise in Jamie. Push it again and again. There we go. Right. Fantasy, startum, situm. We've got one startum each and one situm each. Do you want to start with your startum? Start with your startum, Jamie. Jamie: Start the start and okay, right. There's a theme going on from the team that I've gone with with forks and my big blowout, right? think start Kirk, start Liam: I don't know where you're going with this. Jamie: Kirk cousins. He might Liam: to hot cat cousins. Jamie: throw for like four or five touchdowns. against the dolphins. Liam: okay. Who'd Jamie: If the Dolphins win and Kirk Cousins gets five interceptions on, this is the worst fantasy pick ever. Liam: Yeah. Cause they've got Mike, Mike, Mike Washington now. Cause Genties injured. don't know if he start in week one. You've got Tucker catching passes. You've got Brock Bauer, Bauer, Bauer's Jamie: about. Liam: catching passes. You've got Jack Besh catching passes. Well, you know what? That's your pick. I don't think it's bad. It's just, you know what? You've gone for a bit of an edgy one. You've gone for a of an edge Lord. That's what you've gone for. Jamie: For week one, you've got to go for an edgy one. Week one. Liam: Well, I've gone for a slightly different one. I've gone for Gervonta Williams running back, Cowboys. I just love it. Stink. America's team, first week, high powered offense, guaranteed number one, running back. He's going to get those close opportunities. That's what he's there for. Work it. That's who my start of the week is. So I'm going to kick Jamie: you all disagree? Liam: off. my sit of the week. So my sit of the week, which I know you don't love is going to be. More specifically, Green Bay's running back room. Josh Jacobs, obviously not in the league for the year. Obviously, he's got it on. Don't talk about the legal stuff, even though I'm forking the Browns. Anyway, but I just want to see anything from Green Bay generally. I actually want to sit the whole of Green Bay. So I want to see... If the running game is good without Josh Jacobs before I start anyone. So for that, running back room for Green Bay is my sit and pick for the week. Jamie: My sit and pick, very similar in terms of like a whole team basically don't play any of players. 49ers, don't pick any of them. Liam: Oof. Jamie: Don't pick any of them. Brock Purdy, he's not gonna do much is he against the Rams? He's gonna have time. I don't think he'll have time in pocket to do what he needs to do. I think McCaffrey's finished. That's it, that's it. Don't pick anyone 49ers if you want fantasy points this week. Liam: Evans is injured isn't he? Jamie: Evan's doubtful, isn't he, for week one? Good three-year contract, Liam: Yeah Jamie: that one. Liam: I mean, yeah, McCaffrey, mean, again, stribbling looks good, but again, there's a lot of you and you need to it to believe it, I think in this first week with some of the, with our sit-ems, I think. Jamie: think that's exactly what the 49ers are. I don't, I just don't know what the last season amount of injuries. have no idea what they're to look like now. They've got some or basically all the pieces back. Liam: Yeah, so awesome. That's our start and sit and then our final section of the very first fourth and T flagship show. Survivor. Okay. Me and Jamie, we're to be running our own little two man survivor league. I've got my team locked and ready to go for Survivor. But Jamie, who is going to be your Survivor pick for week one? Jamie: Now you can either go edgy or you can go guaranteed to win. Right. And because I dislike this team, because obviously another NFC South team, I'm going for the Lions as my survivor team off the bat. Let's go. hey, hey. Liam: Jamie, we're locked again. Yes. I love to start Survivor with one easy win. Jamie: Yeah, just get me off the... don't make it embarrassing. Liam: Yeah, week one out, embarrassing. Week two out, acceptable. So, Jamie: Exactly, yeah. Liam: love that. So, fourth and T, hosts Jamie and Liam, we're both in on the lions for our survivor pick for week one. I doubt it's always going to be that simple, but this week it was. This week it was. Jamie: Makes a change. Liam: Awesome. So, a little bit of a different schedule because the NFL. season is a little bit skewiff at the beginning of the year. So we'll be going to look into our power rankings soon. Then as we go into week two, we'll then get into a more regular cadence of doing our previews and then a review show, two pods a week. So before that next power rankings, review, preview, review, preview, review, preview. And that's it. So. Jamie: Love it. Liam: Jamie, I'm glad you're back off holiday. I'll see you on the other end of our, both of our other holidays. Jamie: Bye for now Val Dicey. Liam: And yeah, anything else just before we go? come on the books. Come on Seattle. We're Jamie: Come on, Liam: back. Jamie: Panthers, let's go. Exciting. Let's watch some NFL football. Liam: Let's watch the Men of Elf football. Jamie, see you next week. Peace and love.
