- 0:03Speaker 1: Got everybody. Welcome to Massa Territory. We have some massive
- 0:07Speaker 1: breaking news coming across the screens of our phone. Alex Cora,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Peter Fatzi, Jason Veratak, and Ramone Vasquez have been fired
- 0:21Speaker 1: after a seventeen to one win today the Red Sox
- 0:26Speaker 1: make the big move. Hold on a second, then we're
- 0:29Speaker 1: gonna get the countdown. This is massive news, ladies and
- 0:32Speaker 1: gentlemen of you are just coming in. Alex Cora, Peter Fatzi,
- 0:36Speaker 1: Jason Veratak, Ramone Vasquez have been fired even after the
- 0:41Speaker 1: complete explosion of the offense here today. But we've been
- 0:44Speaker 1: talking about this here for a while, especially this it
- 0:50Speaker 1: feels like, you know, the last couple of weeks, this
- 0:52Speaker 1: is all we've been talking about, all right, Who are
- 0:53Speaker 1: the Red Sox gonna fire? Who are they gonna move on?
- 0:57Speaker 1: Of course, I don't want anyone getting fired from their job.
- 1:00Speaker 1: That's the last thing that I want. But you've felt like,
- 1:05Speaker 1: going back over the last couple of years now, there
- 1:07Speaker 1: needed to be some kind of a change, and we
- 1:09Speaker 1: had been waiting for some kind of a change for
- 1:12Speaker 1: a while. You made the postseason last year. Sure you
- 1:19Speaker 1: can say what you will about this past offseason, the
- 1:21Speaker 1: moves they made, not bringing back Bregman, not signing a
- 1:24Speaker 1: big power pat. You know, you could say all that,
- 1:28Speaker 1: but over the last couple of years now, it has
- 1:30Speaker 1: felt like there's something in the air where you needed
- 1:34Speaker 1: a deeper change. Right. Obviously, the players got to play,
- 1:37Speaker 1: but there was just so many inconsistencies over the years.
- 1:41Speaker 1: The offense led by Peter Fatsi for so long, they've
- 1:45Speaker 1: had so many ups and downs. When they're hot, they're hot,
- 1:47Speaker 1: but when they get cold, it's been tough to watch.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And it hit its lowest point this year. Obviously it's
- 1:56Speaker 1: a very small sample, but you knew deep down, not
- 2:00Speaker 1: even just looking at the numbers, not even just looking
- 2:03Speaker 1: at the metrics, you can just look with the eye test,
- 2:06Speaker 1: that something needed to change. And I have been saying
- 2:08Speaker 1: here for the past few episodes. I was thinking some
- 2:13Speaker 1: kind of an adjustment with the coaching staff. I'm actually
- 2:16Speaker 1: shocked they fired Core here. I am very shocked about
- 2:19Speaker 1: this because he's in the middle of a contract. Ownership
- 2:23Speaker 1: has let it be has let it be known very
- 2:29Speaker 1: clearly how much they love kor There. I'm sure this
- 2:32Speaker 1: was not an easy decision for them to sign off
- 2:35Speaker 1: on I see a couple of you in the chat
- 2:40Speaker 1: Smoke Dog in Phoenix. You're not shocked me personally. I
- 2:44Speaker 1: am just because you know, talking with people in the
- 2:46Speaker 1: organization over the last couple of years or so, Korra
- 2:50Speaker 1: is highly respected in that organization. But at the end
- 2:54Speaker 1: of the day, you needed to make a change. And
- 2:59Speaker 1: after the money that they spent. I said this in
- 3:02Speaker 1: the last couple of episodes. They have spent the money.
- 3:06Speaker 1: They moved themselves past the second competitive balance threshold. They
- 3:11Speaker 1: signed off on money, and I have been telling you
- 3:14Speaker 1: guys this the last few days, the last few nights.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Do not put it past Red Sox ownership to make
- 3:21Speaker 1: a drastic decision. I've been telling you that. I'm thinking,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you know, I probably don't. I don't know if I
- 3:25Speaker 1: see Core getting fired. I was even mentioning Breslo. But
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's how far Red Sox ownership will go. They have
- 3:33Speaker 1: done this time and time again, all the way back,
- 3:36Speaker 1: going back to two thousand and two when Henry bought
- 3:38Speaker 1: the team. This is It's surprising, but not surprising. At
- 3:43Speaker 1: the same time, I do have a poll up in
- 3:48Speaker 1: the chat. Let me know what you think. Do you
- 3:51Speaker 1: agree with this? Move. I am very curious to see
- 3:56Speaker 1: what all of you are thinking. I'm still kind of
- 3:57Speaker 1: waiting for some more information come out, something that we
- 4:01Speaker 1: can chew into a bit more so. Right now, the
- 4:03Speaker 1: early poll question is do you agree with the Red
- 4:06Speaker 1: Sox firing Kora, Fatsi, Veritech and Vasquez. Right now we're
- 4:11Speaker 1: at fifty four percent yes, forty five percent no. But
- 4:16Speaker 1: I think we all agree that there needed to be
- 4:19Speaker 1: a change. Now, could you also have the point of
- 4:23Speaker 1: view of did they need to move on from all
- 4:26Speaker 1: of these guys. I think most of us were thinking
- 4:30Speaker 1: it was going to be someone within the hitting staff,
- 4:35Speaker 1: within the hitting department. I think a lot of people
- 4:37Speaker 1: were looking at Pete Fatsy, and I do think that's
- 4:41Speaker 1: not surprising they did that. Coorra though. Wow. The question
- 4:46Speaker 1: is is who is going to be the manager here?
- 4:49Speaker 1: I mean, this is where I'm not surprised. Again, they've
- 4:54Speaker 1: spent the money, but I'm not surprised they did it
- 4:59Speaker 1: this early because they just spent all that money and
- 5:02Speaker 1: they clearly want to save this season. Because I've said
- 5:06Speaker 1: it before, I feel like they do have the talent
- 5:10Speaker 1: to be able to compete. That's how I've always felt
- 5:14Speaker 1: coming into this year. Now, do I see a World
- 5:17Speaker 1: Series team by any means No? But I see a
- 5:20Speaker 1: team that absolutely can be competitive, can go for a
- 5:23Speaker 1: wild card. Oh so we have news on who Oh okay.
- 5:29Speaker 1: So again this is where if I seem discombobulated, that
- 5:34Speaker 1: is very true because I am just seeing everything. Oh. Also,
- 5:38Speaker 1: Kyle Hudson was let go. I'm reacting basically in real
- 5:42Speaker 1: time with all of you here. All right, So let
- 5:47Speaker 1: me pull up here a couple of things. Appreciate you
- 5:50Speaker 1: joining me. Let me pull up the pass and tweet.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Let me pull up Catillo. Here we go. So here
- 6:00Speaker 1: here is the original breaking news tweet. We had seen
- 6:05Speaker 1: a couple of reports from Rod Bradford and Jared Carrabas
- 6:09Speaker 1: a little bit before passing. But here's the original tweet
- 6:12Speaker 1: from Passing. The Red Sox have fired manager Alex Cora,
- 6:17Speaker 1: heading coach Peter Fatzi, bench coach Ramon Vasquez, and game
- 6:20Speaker 1: planning coach Jason Veritek. Moving on to Chris Catillo. Catillo
- 6:25Speaker 1: is always on top of everything. Oh okay, So we
- 6:31Speaker 1: have a statement from John Henry himself. Alex Corra led
- 6:39Speaker 1: this organization to one of the greatest seasons in Red
- 6:42Speaker 1: Sox history in twenty eighteen, and for that and the
- 6:45Speaker 1: many years that followed, he will always have our deepest gratitude. Again,
- 6:50Speaker 1: they love Alex Cora there so I'm sure this was
- 6:54Speaker 1: not an easy decision for them. He has had a
- 6:57Speaker 1: lasting impact on this team and on this city. He
- 7:02Speaker 1: has let on and off the field in so many
- 7:04Speaker 1: important ways. These decisions are never easy, but this one
- 7:07Speaker 1: is especially difficult. Just like I said, given what Alex Corra,
- 7:12Speaker 1: what Alex has meant to the Red Sox since the
- 7:14Speaker 1: day he arrived, I want to thank Alex, our coaches
- 7:17Speaker 1: and their families for everything they have given to this organization.
- 7:21Speaker 1: They have been part of this club in a way
- 7:23Speaker 1: that goes beyond the field, and they will always have
- 7:26Speaker 1: our respect and gratitude. Breaking news, Chad Tracy is the
- 7:34Speaker 1: interim manager, so they are calling up Chad Tracy. Here's
- 7:45Speaker 1: the next one from Chris Catillo from two minutes ago.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Alex Cora, Peter Fatzi, Kyle Hudson, Ramon Vasquez also hit
- 7:56Speaker 1: and Dylan Lawson, along with Major League hitting strategy coach
- 8:02Speaker 1: Drill Cronin have all been let go. Wow they I
- 8:07Speaker 1: mean wow, they got rid of everyone. I'm not surprised
- 8:14Speaker 1: about Dylan Lawson and Joe Cronin as well. I mean,
- 8:17Speaker 1: if you're gonna get rid of the hitting coach Peter Fatty,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you might as well just keep going after that. But wow,
- 8:23Speaker 1: oh wow, let me pull up a couple other things
- 8:26Speaker 1: here now, taking a look at hold on one second here, everyone,
- 8:45Speaker 1: if you can hit the like button for me, and
- 8:47Speaker 1: if you are finding us for the first time, think
- 8:49Speaker 1: about subscribing. We are trying to get to eight K
- 8:52Speaker 1: by the All Star break. One second here. Okay, So
- 9:01Speaker 1: Chad Tracy, I'm trying to pull up his page, but
- 9:07Speaker 1: it's not working all right, So, I mean this is
- 9:16Speaker 1: an older post. I was trying to pull up his
- 9:19Speaker 1: main page on the WUSAX website, but I don't know
- 9:22Speaker 1: what's going on. Yeah again, he returned as the manager
- 9:25Speaker 1: this past year for the WU Socks. I mean, when
- 9:28Speaker 1: you take a look at the player development within the
- 9:29Speaker 1: Red Sox organization, I mean, they have developed players very
- 9:33Speaker 1: well down to the minor leagues, but when it comes to,
- 9:37Speaker 1: you know, the major league level, there's just been a
- 9:40Speaker 1: lot of inconsistencies. So I'm not surprised in that aspect.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of other
- 9:48Speaker 1: guys coming up. I mean, maybe Johnny Raina is he
- 9:52Speaker 1: gonna come up here as well. He was just named
- 9:55Speaker 1: one of the He was named the assistant hitting coach.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I mean, so, I again still waiting for some news
- 10:03Speaker 1: to be coming out here in the chat. Let me
- 10:05Speaker 1: know if there's anything else that you're seeing here. I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: sure Katillo is all over this right now. It's funny
- 10:14Speaker 1: because I had gotten a message about fifteen minutes before
- 10:19Speaker 1: I went live, someone asking me, hey, are you hearing anything,
- 10:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, huh. I was editing a video and
- 10:29Speaker 1: I was trying to poke around, and then everything just
- 10:32Speaker 1: all of a sudden started blowing up. Oh soo, vera
- 10:36Speaker 1: Tak has been reassigned. Oh okay, all right, so here
- 10:43Speaker 1: we go from Chris Katillo. Jason Veratak has been reassigned
- 10:53Speaker 1: to a new role within the organization. Details of his
- 10:56Speaker 1: reassignment will be announced at a later date. That's interesting.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm also seeing some of you asking about Andrew Bailey
- 11:05Speaker 1: in the chat. Well, if Craig Breslo is still there,
- 11:10Speaker 1: then the guy that he hired and Andrew Bailey, and
- 11:13Speaker 1: they also are close friends. I'm not surprised that Andrew
- 11:19Speaker 1: Bailey is still there because he's a Breslo guy. In
- 11:27Speaker 1: the chat. Is Veritek the new hitting coach or the
- 11:29Speaker 1: new bench coach? We don't know. I mean, this is
- 11:32Speaker 1: what we have right now from Chris Catillo. He's been
- 11:35Speaker 1: reassigned to a new role within the organization. Is that
- 11:38Speaker 1: just as an advisor? I don't know. Very interesting. My
- 11:50Speaker 1: guess here is that they are gonna They're gonna be
- 11:54Speaker 1: bringing up a lot of guys down from the miners.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But then again, like a man, you have got to
- 11:58Speaker 1: You've got to replace a lot of guys here. I'm glad.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I mean, I'm never glad for people to lose their jobs, obviously,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and I do think there needed to be an adjustment.
- 12:10Speaker 1: There needed to be you needed to do something. But
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm very glad they did it. Now. This is pretty
- 12:18Speaker 1: unprecedented for something like this to happen in April. I'm
- 12:23Speaker 1: sure there's a couple of examples, but I can't think
- 12:26Speaker 1: of them off the top of my head right now.
- 12:34Speaker 1: But wow, April twenty fifth, you see almost an entire
- 12:39Speaker 1: coaching staff getting let go. Peter Fatzy Dylan Lawson not
- 12:43Speaker 1: surprised about that. Remember Dylan Lawson, he got let go
- 12:46Speaker 1: by the Yankees a couple of years ago before he
- 12:48Speaker 1: came to the Red Sox. I don't know, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 1: Fatsy not surprised about that because obviously, look at the
- 12:56Speaker 1: way the offense is performed, you know, looking at the
- 12:59Speaker 1: mech when it comes to the offense, they're hitting the
- 13:03Speaker 1: crap out of the ball. They're hitting hard, the eggs
- 13:05Speaker 1: of v low hard hit percentage. They rank in the
- 13:08Speaker 1: top ten, but they're hitting a ton of ground balls.
- 13:11Speaker 1: The approach at the plate that the plate discipline has
- 13:14Speaker 1: been all over the place. They seem like they have
- 13:16Speaker 1: no plan. I don't know, like they just look lost.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So I'm not surprised that they have completely gone in
- 13:27Speaker 1: a different direction with the hitting coach staff. I will
- 13:32Speaker 1: say this, you know, say what you want about ownership
- 13:35Speaker 1: John Henry, Sam Kennedy. I respect that they made a
- 13:38Speaker 1: move now that shows urgency. There's been a you know
- 13:43Speaker 1: a lot of people talking over the years. John Henry
- 13:48Speaker 1: doesn't care. Sam Kennedy, he's just he's just the yes man.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He's the he's the guy that talks for Henry. You
- 13:56Speaker 1: can say what you will, but I do appreciate the
- 13:59Speaker 1: urgent see that shows me that they care. That's my opinion.
- 14:07Speaker 1: You can have a different opinion if you want. Someone
- 14:10Speaker 1: asking about Veritech being the manager at some point Veritech
- 14:14Speaker 1: has interviewed for manager roles in the past. I don't
- 14:16Speaker 1: know that that's just never come to fruition. It's never
- 14:19Speaker 1: worked out. And Veritech remember not too long ago, what
- 14:23Speaker 1: was it a few years ago? A couple of years ago.
- 14:26Speaker 1: They changed his role then too, So I'm not sure
- 14:33Speaker 1: what they do with Veritech at this point. I mean,
- 14:35Speaker 1: kind of does he kind of just go into the
- 14:37Speaker 1: same role as you know Pedro and Ortiz is just
- 14:40Speaker 1: like an advisor. I don't know. Jonathan mcshat fired Craig
- 14:45Speaker 1: Breslow now, oh, I don't think Greig Breslow is going
- 14:48Speaker 1: anywhere because ownership just they clearly sided with Breslo on
- 14:53Speaker 1: this one. I don't know if Breslow is at at
- 14:56Speaker 1: all of any sort of risk of losing his job.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I was speculating about it. Where I was right is
- 15:03Speaker 1: I saw something big coming, because again I've seen it
- 15:07Speaker 1: so many times, so many times they will just do
- 15:13Speaker 1: something massive out of nowhere too. They always picked the
- 15:17Speaker 1: moment when you least expect it. Remember last year they
- 15:21Speaker 1: you know what was it? It was it after the
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yankee series. I can't fully remember. My brain's a potato,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but out of nowhere. Last year the trading Raffi was
- 15:30Speaker 1: out of nowhere in itself, but it was after like
- 15:32Speaker 1: a feel good day. I think they had just beaten
- 15:35Speaker 1: the Yankees on that Sunday, if I remember correctly, and
- 15:37Speaker 1: all of a sudden they trade Raffi. It's like, WHOA,
- 15:39Speaker 1: what the We're feeling good, We're feeling happy today. What's
- 15:43Speaker 1: going on? They always do this just out of nowhere.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Let's see if Catillo's put anything else out. Nope, last
- 15:56Speaker 1: thing we've gotten ten minutes ago. Let me check on
- 16:04Speaker 1: Rob Bradford. Nope, nothing from Rob Bradford here. Man, oh man.
- 16:14Speaker 1: If anyone sees anything on Twitter that I am unaware of,
- 16:21Speaker 1: tag me in it. That way I can get to
- 16:23Speaker 1: it quickly. I see. I see a lot of people
- 16:27Speaker 1: saying could Breslo be next? I don't think so? HHM?
- 16:42Speaker 1: I mean could we could? Could we have?
- 16:44Speaker 2: Uh?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Could we actually have our next long term manager? Here
- 16:50Speaker 1: with with Tyler Milliken himself. Man, oh man, looking good
- 16:56Speaker 1: in that jacket though, Tyler looking pretty good. Oh that's interesting.
- 17:04Speaker 1: That's a good point Melican putting out here. Tyler's so smart.
- 17:09Speaker 1: If you're not following him, please go follow him. He
- 17:12Speaker 1: makes a good point here. John Soderopolis from Drive Line
- 17:19Speaker 1: is the only one that's been retained. Interesting. But you know,
- 17:24Speaker 1: Dylan Lawson was also a big Drive Line guy, right,
- 17:28Speaker 1: He was very big in that sense. What have we
- 17:32Speaker 1: got here from Katillo and new tweet from I'm sure Katillo.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, after talking with him in
- 17:39Speaker 1: person on zoom calls and whatnot, I am telling you
- 17:44Speaker 1: right now that guy is running around frantic. Oh man,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we have got a press conference scheduled. Sam Kennedy and
- 17:56Speaker 1: Breslo are doing a presser in Baltimore tomorrow. Well, I
- 18:02Speaker 1: need the time because we're gonna be live reacting to that.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I see when the chat. Breslo is probably feeling the
- 18:11Speaker 1: heat now, you know, I think you could go either
- 18:17Speaker 1: way on that. I'd have to maybe think about that
- 18:20Speaker 1: a little bit more, process it a little bit more.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I would imagine there is at least some heat on him.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I would have to think that because I mean, this
- 18:31Speaker 1: is unprecedented to make a move like this to get
- 18:33Speaker 1: rid of this many guys in April, especially Cora. I mean,
- 18:39Speaker 1: you gotta think if you're Bresla like Oh. But then again,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I don't know was Breslo involved with this decision or
- 18:50Speaker 1: was this just purely an ownership decision. I mean, I'm
- 18:52Speaker 1: sure Breslo was involved in some way. I don't know.
- 18:57Speaker 1: We gotta get We're gonna get a lot more details
- 18:59Speaker 1: over the next twenty four to forty eight hours. I
- 19:03Speaker 1: will say, though, getting back to Chad Tracy, I do
- 19:08Speaker 1: like this move because again, you've seen a lot of
- 19:12Speaker 1: guys come up. They have produced very well on the miners. Yes,
- 19:16Speaker 1: it's the miners, I know that, but there there's been
- 19:20Speaker 1: something where there's just been a disconnect between the minor
- 19:29Speaker 1: and major league levels. I mean, look, perfect example, Christian Campbell.
- 19:33Speaker 1: The guy was lighting the world on fire. The guy
- 19:36Speaker 1: had an incredible season a couple of years ago. And
- 19:38Speaker 1: it's again it's the miners, but he was putting up
- 19:41Speaker 1: ridiculous numbers. Baseball America scouts were thinking like they were
- 19:45Speaker 1: just putting out all the good reviews about Christian Campbell,
- 19:50Speaker 1: and then he looked amazing the first month, and then
- 19:54Speaker 1: all of a sudden he just fell off a cliff.
- 19:55Speaker 1: So you kind of wonder like seems to be like
- 20:02Speaker 1: some kind of a disconnect there, right, I don't know.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'll say this. I'll say this because I've seen people
- 20:14Speaker 1: talking about this with Franklin Arrius because he's hitting so
- 20:20Speaker 1: well down to the minors. So you know, people out
- 20:23Speaker 1: there they're saying, all right, we gotta get Franklinarius to
- 20:25Speaker 1: the major league level. Hey, I'm not opposed to it
- 20:27Speaker 1: if he keeps hitting that way, if you call him
- 20:30Speaker 1: up at some point, But then I see other people saying, no, please,
- 20:34Speaker 1: don't bring him up. They're gonna ruin him. So for
- 20:38Speaker 1: the Franklinarius fans, I think you could have a take
- 20:41Speaker 1: a breath. Ali in the chat Robbie fell off a
- 20:48Speaker 1: cliff once he started talking to ver Attach Campbell will
- 20:52Speaker 1: produce you know. It's again, it is interesting how there
- 20:57Speaker 1: just seems to be this issue with guys not even
- 21:01Speaker 1: just coming up to the majors, but even in some
- 21:03Speaker 1: cases where guys have come to the Red Sox organization
- 21:06Speaker 1: and it just hasn't worked out. You look at James Tibbs.
- 21:08Speaker 1: They were trying to change his swing. So it's not
- 21:11Speaker 1: just at the major league level, right, It's gonna be
- 21:13Speaker 1: a case by case scenario. What do we got? We
- 21:17Speaker 1: got something else here? Thank you people for tagging me
- 21:23Speaker 1: in some stuff. Oh here we go. Okay, so we
- 21:30Speaker 1: got this one. Sea Dogs manager Chad Epperson will be
- 21:35Speaker 1: the third base coach for the Red Sox. Matt, I
- 21:39Speaker 1: am so excited to watch the game tomorrow. Is excited
- 21:46Speaker 1: the right word. I am so intrigued because I'm telling
- 21:51Speaker 1: you right now, Dave O'Brien, Luberloney, whoever's on the broadcast,
- 21:57Speaker 1: they're barely gonna be talking about the game. They're gonna
- 22:00Speaker 1: be talking about all this. That's gonna be very interesting
- 22:05Speaker 1: to listen to the broadcast tomorrow. Smoke Dog in the chat,
- 22:14Speaker 1: wouldn't miss tomorrow's game for anything. Yeah, you gotta tune
- 22:17Speaker 1: into tomorrow's game. I'm going to be locked in when
- 22:21Speaker 1: it comes to looking for anything here.
- 22:30Speaker 2: This is crazy.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Let's see what we Let's take a look at the poll.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Let's check on the poll. Do you agree? Wow, we're
- 22:48Speaker 1: actually pretty split. Fifty two percent agreeing with the move,
- 22:54Speaker 1: forty eight percent not agreeing with it. I actually expected
- 23:00Speaker 1: a lot of people to be agreeing with it. I
- 23:02Speaker 1: think we can all agree there had to be a change.
- 23:07Speaker 1: The question is, is to this extent the right move
- 23:20Speaker 1: Waaler eighty seven? What is the player reactions? That's gonna
- 23:23Speaker 1: be very interesting to listen to as well. I'm sure
- 23:27Speaker 1: they're gonna, man, that's gonna be interesting for tomorrow because
- 23:32Speaker 1: you know, the Red Sox media, they're gonna be all
- 23:36Speaker 1: over the place tomorrow at the game. They're gonna be
- 23:39Speaker 1: trying to get quotes any way they can seaside graffiti fantsy. Yes,
- 23:47Speaker 1: but surely you keep Korra Cora is the interesting one. Obviously,
- 23:50Speaker 1: he's the big the biggest name here. But that is
- 23:54Speaker 1: an interesting conversation because I've been on record saying I
- 23:58Speaker 1: do agree that I'm in the camp where he has
- 24:02Speaker 1: pushed a lot of good buttons in the past, but
- 24:04Speaker 1: there's also been a lot of questionable ones too. But
- 24:07Speaker 1: that's any manager, you know. I've been seeing Yankee fans
- 24:11Speaker 1: going after Aaron Boone for like it feels like eighty
- 24:14Speaker 1: years at this point, you know, I mean, managers are
- 24:18Speaker 1: just gonna make, you know, questionable calls Cora. You do
- 24:24Speaker 1: feel like, you know, there's been more at least at
- 24:28Speaker 1: the at least in the early going this year, maybe
- 24:31Speaker 1: because maybe a part of that is where like so
- 24:34Speaker 1: Laser focused on the lineups every single day, colonized how
- 24:45Speaker 1: bad did Cora and his guys uh tick off Breslo.
- 24:52Speaker 1: There's no way there was zero tention. Well, here's the
- 24:54Speaker 1: thing we had gotten. Let's go back a little bit.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Let's rewind a little bit. Over the last couple of
- 25:02Speaker 1: off seasons. We have gotten reports of tension within the organization.
- 25:07Speaker 1: We had gotten reports. Was it last May, last June,
- 25:11Speaker 1: before the Raffi trade that there were people turning on
- 25:15Speaker 1: Bresla within the organization? Was that was that the coaching
- 25:20Speaker 1: staff or a lot of the guys in the coaching staff?
- 25:23Speaker 1: It was core a part of that. I don't know.
- 25:27Speaker 1: It's interesting, And remember they traded Rafi, they started playing better,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and all of those reports seemed to go away. And
- 25:37Speaker 1: then the struggles have been happening, and then you've been
- 25:40Speaker 1: hearing a couple things and Red Sox stats he put
- 25:43Speaker 1: out last week or a few days ago, if I
- 25:46Speaker 1: remember correctly, that that noise was starting to pick up again.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'm sure we're gonna be here's the thing. Also, get
- 25:54Speaker 1: ready for this. I'm gonna remind all of you going
- 26:00Speaker 1: to be a lot of dragon through the mud. That
- 26:05Speaker 1: has happened every time there is something the Raffie trade
- 26:11Speaker 1: last year, you know, go back to Terry Francona, theo Epstein,
- 26:19Speaker 1: anytime you know, the Bobby Valentine, right, John Farrell, anytime
- 26:27Speaker 1: they've made moves, you always start to see stories coming
- 26:31Speaker 1: out after. So I'm gonna remind you be on the
- 26:35Speaker 1: lookout for stuff over the next couple of days. And
- 26:40Speaker 1: e Burns, Yeah, they're classless in that way. Yeah, the
- 26:43Speaker 1: whole Terry Francona thing that was disgusting. I thought that
- 26:49Speaker 1: was completely ridiculous. The way that all of a sudden
- 26:52Speaker 1: you start hearing all these stories about Francona and stuff.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I thought that was ridiculous. But that's what we've seen
- 27:00Speaker 1: with this organization. Now. I'm not saying they're gonna be
- 27:03Speaker 1: bad mouthing Cora or anything, but don't be surprised if
- 27:06Speaker 1: you see a story or two. I will say this
- 27:13Speaker 1: with Alex Korra, I will say this, he gave me
- 27:21Speaker 1: one of the biggest moments of my life doing ever
- 27:27Speaker 1: since I've started YouTube. I messaged him randomly one day
- 27:33Speaker 1: and I said, Hey, my name's Robbie. I have a
- 27:37Speaker 1: YouTube channel. This was before I partnered up with foul Territory.
- 27:43Speaker 1: This was before this is when the podcast was called
- 27:46Speaker 1: Family Faithful. I think I had maybe two thousand subscribers
- 27:51Speaker 1: at the time, maybe even less, I can't remember. But
- 27:54Speaker 1: I asked Cora just out of the blue, I said,
- 27:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna shot in the dark. Let's just see if
- 28:01Speaker 1: he responds. And he did. I said, Hey, would you
- 28:04Speaker 1: want to come on for an interview? I'd love to
- 28:06Speaker 1: talk about this off season with you. Would you be
- 28:10Speaker 1: willing to come on. I didn't think he was even
- 28:11Speaker 1: going to write back. And he wrote back and he
- 28:14Speaker 1: said yeah sure. After the winter meetings, I couldn't even
- 28:18Speaker 1: believe he responded. So I do appreciate that he did
- 28:25Speaker 1: that for me. That was that meant a lot to me.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You know, I'm just some dude out here, you know. Yeah, sure,
- 28:34Speaker 1: got a YouTube channel and everything, but he didn't have
- 28:36Speaker 1: to do that, and he did he, you know, so
- 28:39Speaker 1: I always appreciate that with Cora. Yeah, Acorn and the
- 28:49Speaker 1: chat Kor did a ton of stuff he didn't have to. Yeah,
- 28:53Speaker 1: I mean, there's a reason Kora was here for so long, right,
- 28:58Speaker 1: there's a reason. Man, he did a lot of good.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I think, what else have we got here in the chat? Michael, So,
- 29:14Speaker 1: I have to say, I don't mind firing Cora, but
- 29:17Speaker 1: the fact that they're retaining Breslo is extremely frustrating. Cora
- 29:20Speaker 1: has been frustrating, but Breslo has no redeeming qualities. You know,
- 29:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay tuned for that. I think a lot
- 29:35Speaker 1: of how the rest of this season goes will dictate
- 29:40Speaker 1: could dictate what ends up happening with Breslo. If they
- 29:46Speaker 1: end up still spiraling this year and they have a
- 29:48Speaker 1: terrible year, I wouldn't be surprised that they moved on
- 29:52Speaker 1: from Breslo, because realistically, what would moving Breslo right now do?
- 30:02Speaker 1: Right now? I mean, sure could you if you didn't
- 30:05Speaker 1: have faith in him and you feel like you could
- 30:08Speaker 1: save the season, you bring someone else in or someone
- 30:11Speaker 1: else within the organization to take over, try and help,
- 30:15Speaker 1: you know, start getting yourself into good positions to possibly
- 30:19Speaker 1: make some deals to help the team. But even that,
- 30:23Speaker 1: it's still so early, so like, really, what would moving
- 30:27Speaker 1: Craig Breslow right now even do now future, sure you
- 30:31Speaker 1: can have that conversation, but at least now when it
- 30:37Speaker 1: comes you're wanting the players to just improve. You have
- 30:42Speaker 1: a good team. It's just a matter of getting the
- 30:44Speaker 1: best out of your players. Craig Breslow is not going
- 30:48Speaker 1: to be able to do anything right now there. Yeah,
- 30:52Speaker 1: you can look at roster construction and all that. So
- 30:54Speaker 1: that's why I'm saying, you can have that conversation down
- 30:57Speaker 1: the road, but right now you trying to get the
- 31:00Speaker 1: best out of your team. So you're trying to get
- 31:03Speaker 1: the best possible people on the coaching staff to get
- 31:07Speaker 1: these players turned around. Greg five dollars, super Chat. We
- 31:13Speaker 1: got about nine hundred people in this chat. That might
- 31:15Speaker 1: be a record. That might be a record, Greg five dollars.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I'm shocked they did it now, thought they would do
- 31:21Speaker 1: it at the end of the season. Greg Man, Again,
- 31:24Speaker 1: I've said it a couple of times. I'm shocked, but
- 31:29Speaker 1: not shocked at the same time, shocked because holy cal
- 31:33Speaker 1: you fired Alex Cora, who's been here for so long.
- 31:38Speaker 1: But then again, you look at the performance up to
- 31:40Speaker 1: this point. It's better to rip the band aid off now,
- 31:44Speaker 1: if you feel like you're not gonna be going, and
- 31:48Speaker 1: if you don't have faith in this coaching staff to
- 31:49Speaker 1: get better, you might as well just rip it off
- 31:51Speaker 1: now instead of waiting another month. We have always seen
- 31:55Speaker 1: right around June that, you know, we saw Joe Girardi
- 31:59Speaker 1: with the f a few years ago. Rob Thompson ended
- 32:02Speaker 1: up replacing him. That was what June first, June second.
- 32:06Speaker 1: So that tends to be kind of like that hot
- 32:09Speaker 1: seat time because teams usually like to have around fifty
- 32:13Speaker 1: games or so for a sample size. What I am
- 32:18Speaker 1: very intrigued with is who else they put on this staff?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Can we please hire Manny Ramirez? Come on, come on,
- 32:29Speaker 1: give me Manny. That'd be awesome. I'd love that, be hilarious.
- 32:38Speaker 1: We have nothing new. Katillo did put out an article.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Let's take a look at the article here together. Oh,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I got my pop up blocker on hold on a second,
- 32:54Speaker 1: All right, here we go. We got an article here
- 32:56Speaker 1: from Chris Catillo. No sorry, from Sean McAdam. In a
- 33:03Speaker 1: stunning overhaul of an underachieving organization, the Red Sox fired
- 33:08Speaker 1: Alex Cora in five of his coaches. They have named
- 33:12Speaker 1: Shad Tracy as the interim manager. The news came hours
- 33:20Speaker 1: after the team posted a lopsided seventeen to one victory. Cora,
- 33:27Speaker 1: who was in his eighth season in the Red Sox dugout,
- 33:31Speaker 1: managed them to a World Series in his first year
- 33:33Speaker 1: before agreeing to step away prior to the twenty twenty
- 33:36Speaker 1: season after the sign stealing scandal. Also fired Peter Fatsie,
- 33:45Speaker 1: Dylan Lawson, Kyle Hudson, Ramon Vasquez, and Joe Cronin. Additionally
- 33:49Speaker 1: Jason Vertek. But he's gonna be reassigned, Okay, So there's nothing.
- 33:55Speaker 1: He's just laying out what happened basically. So nothing new there. Man,
- 34:04Speaker 1: oh man, oh, I think we had another super chat
- 34:05Speaker 1: coming in super Chat from Trip fifty six fourteen calling
- 34:11Speaker 1: it right now, this team is going to have so
- 34:13Speaker 1: much more energy going forward. Today might suck, but I
- 34:17Speaker 1: look to the future and you know what, my friend,
- 34:20Speaker 1: you know what, I'm looking for that too. I'm looking
- 34:24Speaker 1: for that too. Remember last year we all thought that,
- 34:32Speaker 1: Hold on a second, I mean we all thought there
- 34:36Speaker 1: last year after they traded Raffi, that all of a sudden,
- 34:45Speaker 1: this team was gonna start. I'm trying to fix this
- 34:48Speaker 1: really quick. There we go that's better instead of it
- 34:50Speaker 1: being so long across the screen. I remember they traded
- 34:54Speaker 1: Raffi last year and we all thought this team was
- 34:57Speaker 1: gonna nose dive. Everyone was saying the reds Socks are
- 35:00Speaker 1: done and then they got hot. Could that happen again?
- 35:07Speaker 1: And this is definitely gonna be a wake up call
- 35:08Speaker 1: for the players. It's not just like this is this
- 35:12Speaker 1: is like this is a I can't even find the
- 35:16Speaker 1: word for it. This is pretty insane. Not just you
- 35:23Speaker 1: fired up, almost the entire coaching staff almost not outside
- 35:27Speaker 1: of the pitching, but man like in April, like that's crazy,
- 35:36Speaker 1: it's unprecedented. What do we got here? Oh that's interesting?
- 35:46Speaker 1: Hmm From Jake Mintz. I believe he's on the Yes
- 35:54Speaker 1: the CESSPITUS Barbecue podcast. That's interesting. Something seemed a miss
- 36:01Speaker 1: yesterday when I went up to Baltimore to see the
- 36:03Speaker 1: Red Sox. Cora was fought forty five minutes late to
- 36:06Speaker 1: talk to the media pregame, with no real explanation or apology.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Was notably snippy and on edge with us during that conversation. Hmmm,
- 36:16Speaker 1: So I wonder if he knew then? I don't know,
- 36:26Speaker 1: in uh in, I can't pronounce the name. I see
- 36:30Speaker 1: this in the chat though, I could see Korra going
- 36:32Speaker 1: to the Phillies. I wouldn't be surprised about that. The
- 36:36Speaker 1: Phillies are off to a terrible start. Would he do
- 36:38Speaker 1: that right now? I could see that being an offseason move.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I mean, hey, none of us thought this was gonna
- 36:46Speaker 1: happen now. I mean, could you know he does have
- 36:49Speaker 1: a relationship with Dave Dombrowski, so obviously Dombrowski brought him in, right,
- 36:55Speaker 1: So could they make that move in season or or
- 37:00Speaker 1: could that be an offseason move? I wouldn't be surprised
- 37:02Speaker 1: about that, though. Cora with the Phillies at some point
- 37:05Speaker 1: I would not be surprised because they have a win
- 37:07Speaker 1: now group. That's been also something with Cora that people
- 37:12Speaker 1: have talked about over the last couple of years, is
- 37:14Speaker 1: is he the right manager for this group? Coorra? Obviously,
- 37:21Speaker 1: he was a championship winning player with the Red Sox
- 37:23Speaker 1: and seven guy knew how to win, right, a great
- 37:28Speaker 1: baseball mind player development wise, you kind of wonder if
- 37:34Speaker 1: he was the right fit. Right, he was great when
- 37:40Speaker 1: he led a team that had talent, that had a
- 37:42Speaker 1: ton of talent, Right, he knew where to push the
- 37:45Speaker 1: right buttons. It felt like twenty eighteen, he couldn't miss
- 37:48Speaker 1: with making any decision, bullpen, pinch hit, whatever, you know,
- 37:53Speaker 1: sitting a guy one day, he just felt like he
- 37:57Speaker 1: couldn't miss. So if you put him with that kind
- 38:01Speaker 1: of a team where they got the talent there, yeah,
- 38:05Speaker 1: Core has shown he can manage you to a World
- 38:10Speaker 1: Series championship, but with a team that had a lot
- 38:14Speaker 1: of younger players not as much talent, didn't seem to
- 38:20Speaker 1: be the best fits. That's why I'm actually okay with
- 38:23Speaker 1: Jack Tracy coming here. Brady Fox twelve, twenty one. I
- 38:28Speaker 1: have got to know what the players are saying amongst
- 38:30Speaker 1: themselves right now. Well, you know, you got to think
- 38:35Speaker 1: as well. Obviously, you know a lot of the guys
- 38:37Speaker 1: with the Red Sox, they they've been there for a while.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But if you're thinking about it from younger players point
- 38:44Speaker 1: of view, like Roman and Marcelo Meyer, I mean, they're
- 38:48Speaker 1: so young, you know, they're probably just like wow, like
- 38:53Speaker 1: they don't even know how to even interpret this. But
- 38:59Speaker 1: guys like Will You're who's been with Cora now for
- 39:01Speaker 1: the last couple of years. Massa's obviously been there for
- 39:04Speaker 1: a couple of years story as well. You know, yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 1: I mean those guys for sure. I mean Crochet obviously
- 39:13Speaker 1: spent time with him last year. But I mean, if
- 39:17Speaker 1: you really think, you know, there's a lot of new
- 39:20Speaker 1: guys that have come to the Red Sox recently to
- 39:29Speaker 1: where it may not affect them as much. Like obviously
- 39:31Speaker 1: Wilson Contreras hasn't been here very long, Ranger Suarez, Sonny Gray.
- 39:37Speaker 1: I'm sure they had good relationships, but you know, there's
- 39:42Speaker 1: really only like a few guys that have been with
- 39:45Speaker 1: Cora now for quite a while, you know, Seti for
- 39:50Speaker 1: a few years now. Story, will Yer Masa, Oh, Duran
- 39:56Speaker 1: obviously that's gonna be interesting. I'm sorry I've completely missed
- 39:59Speaker 1: on Duran, but yeah, that's gonna be an interesting one too.
- 40:03Speaker 1: But with Duran, at least, you know, guys within the
- 40:08Speaker 1: organization are gonna be coming up to the major league level,
- 40:11Speaker 1: so the guys that he developed with. That's another example.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Duran a guy where he looked great in the minors
- 40:17Speaker 1: and then it took him a little while to get
- 40:20Speaker 1: going at the major league level. So could that end up,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe being a good thing for him. Yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: you know, I think it's gonna be interesting to see
- 40:33Speaker 1: how the players respond. P one, Pat bring back Ron
- 40:38Speaker 1: Rennicky Oh man, uh, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm try
- 40:43Speaker 1: and forget about that one. Chris and the chat. Oh,
- 40:45Speaker 1: Connor Wong, Connor Wong of course, Connor Wong, Dong butt,
- 40:51Speaker 1: Connor Wong and ikf coming up big here today. Joshua
- 40:54Speaker 1: in the chat, bring back Tito. I would love that.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Uh uh, Davy in the chat. Too much analytics, not
- 41:03Speaker 1: enough focusing on the fundamentals. Well, I don't know. You
- 41:08Speaker 1: kind of wonder where they're gonna go from here. Obviously
- 41:10Speaker 1: Breslo is still there. He still wants to put an
- 41:13Speaker 1: emphasis on the analytics. Of course. I mean again, we
- 41:17Speaker 1: got to see what this coaching staff is gonna look like.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Firing the coach. Firing the coach in baseball, Wait, firing
- 41:28Speaker 1: the coach is baseball ownership, one oh one. It's an
- 41:30Speaker 1: easy move to make. Yeah, those guys tend to be
- 41:34Speaker 1: the scapegoats. I voted disagree back when I thought Veraitek
- 41:41Speaker 1: was also fired. Disagree only for tech Again. I'm just
- 41:44Speaker 1: curious to see what they're gonna do there. Brett Baseball
- 41:50Speaker 1: hired Joe Girardi. I don't I don't know knowing Craig.
- 41:54Speaker 1: If Craig Breslow is going to be here for the
- 41:56Speaker 1: long run, If he is not going anywhere, I don't
- 41:59Speaker 1: see Joe Girardi coming through that door. Joeji already will
- 42:03Speaker 1: not like the analytics. You gotta get someone. It really
- 42:08Speaker 1: depends on what the future is for Bresla. Get I
- 42:10Speaker 1: don't know what's gonna happen after this year. If Breslo
- 42:14Speaker 1: is still in the fold after the season, only time
- 42:20Speaker 1: will tell. Then you know he's gonna bring someone in
- 42:24Speaker 1: that is definitely in favor of analytics. We'll see hire
- 42:31Speaker 1: Mike Soosha. I don't know. I'm curious, man, I think
- 42:38Speaker 1: about that with Chad Tracy, does he even have a
- 42:41Speaker 1: chance of being the manager long term or do they
- 42:47Speaker 1: go in a different direction bringing someone with more pedigree
- 42:55Speaker 1: Tower Gaming. I don't want Breslo for the trade deadline.
- 42:58Speaker 1: He has got to have a good trade deadline. I mean,
- 43:02Speaker 1: let's see what they even do with the deadline. We
- 43:04Speaker 1: don't even know what they're gonna do. Well, listen this
- 43:09Speaker 1: we can talk about the coaching staff, but They're still
- 43:11Speaker 1: ten and seventeen, so we I mean, they could very
- 43:14Speaker 1: well still be on their way to selling. This is
- 43:20Speaker 1: basically desperate times for or desperate measures for desperate times.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Chris and the Chat, Hello, my friend, m hm. Jonathan Hied,
- 43:35Speaker 1: Tyler Milliken, Hey, I'm all for it. I'm all for it,
- 43:40Speaker 1: Michael and the Chat. Whether it's today or a month
- 43:42Speaker 1: from now or next year. When John Henry fires Breslo,
- 43:45Speaker 1: he needs to actually speak to the media for the
- 43:47Speaker 1: first time. You know what I hate is that? Getting
- 43:52Speaker 1: back to the Catillo tweet. Why isn't John Henry going
- 44:04Speaker 1: to this press conference? This is when John Henry should
- 44:08Speaker 1: be talking to the media. If you're looking for a
- 44:10Speaker 1: time to come out from hiding talking to the media,
- 44:15Speaker 1: it should be now. I think it's disappointing that John
- 44:18Speaker 1: Henry is not coming out to talk to the media.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I understand he put out the statement, but why is
- 44:25Speaker 1: John Henry not talking? He should be there, not Sam
- 44:30Speaker 1: Kennedy and Craig Breslo, Yes, have them there, but Henry
- 44:32Speaker 1: should be there as well. I don't know, man, we
- 44:40Speaker 1: got another superchet coming in from matt If this season's
- 44:43Speaker 1: going bad, what free agents come up, or what free
- 44:46Speaker 1: agents coming up could we potentially add or do we
- 44:49Speaker 1: have too many big contracts to add this offseason? Well,
- 44:52Speaker 1: that's a great question. I mean, goodness, gracious, right off
- 44:56Speaker 1: the bat, you're thinking a bat, I'm already in that
- 45:02Speaker 1: mode where you better be looking for a big bat
- 45:04Speaker 1: come off season. I mean, if we're looking at we
- 45:08Speaker 1: got this whole lockout thing, so who knows what's even
- 45:10Speaker 1: gonna happen with that. But if we're looking at some
- 45:12Speaker 1: bats here, I mean, honestly, I mean, who are the
- 45:17Speaker 1: bats that you could even go for? I mean, if
- 45:19Speaker 1: you're looking for something at third base or second base,
- 45:23Speaker 1: if Bob Baschett opts out, could you go that route again?
- 45:28Speaker 1: You know, it's not really like a whole lot. You know,
- 45:32Speaker 1: second base. I don't think Jazz is going to be
- 45:34Speaker 1: an option. Holy col do not do that. That would
- 45:38Speaker 1: not be good. I mean, it's not really a whole lot.
- 45:42Speaker 1: In terms of free agents. I mean, there's gonna be
- 45:43Speaker 1: some good free agents starting pitching, but I don't know
- 45:50Speaker 1: if there's you know, I guess maybe Bo I'm guessing
- 45:53Speaker 1: he's gonna opt out of that contract. So could you
- 45:55Speaker 1: go that route again? I don't know. We'll see, but
- 46:00Speaker 1: then you know, you still look at the Red Sox
- 46:02Speaker 1: farm still have a very good ranking farm system, so
- 46:05Speaker 1: you look at the traits, right. I'm all in favor
- 46:10Speaker 1: of the pipe dream. You're on Alvarez. Go find a
- 46:13Speaker 1: way to get him. Holy Calve, you can figure out
- 46:15Speaker 1: a way to get your on Alvarez. I would be
- 46:18Speaker 1: doing cartwheels in my front lawn. That won't happen, though,
- 46:21Speaker 1: I don't expect that to happen. That's a pipe dream.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Oh man, man, oh man, give me one second here, everyone,
- 46:31Speaker 1: if you can hit the like button for me. How
- 46:35Speaker 1: many likes we got? We have got almost two hundred likes.
- 46:40Speaker 1: We are seven likes away, seven likes away. Alrighty, let's
- 46:47Speaker 1: get back to it here. Looking to see if there's
- 46:49Speaker 1: still or if there's any new developments coming out. Nothing
- 46:58Speaker 1: really ell else is coming out. I think John or
- 47:00Speaker 1: not John Henry, John Hayman. I think he put out
- 47:03Speaker 1: that he's still owed around thirteen million dollars. Oh, Catillo
- 47:07Speaker 1: just put out something. Chad Epperson as the third base coach.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Colin Hetzler is going to be added to the major
- 47:19Speaker 1: league hitting staff. Jose Flores Andrew Bailey, Chris Holt, John Soderropolis,
- 47:26Speaker 1: and Parker Guinness.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Stay so taking a look see, oh.
- 47:39Speaker 1: We actually got this here? Okay, this is on the
- 47:44Speaker 1: Red Sox official website. Chad Tracy will serve as the
- 47:51Speaker 1: interim manager. He's been the manager of the WU Sock
- 47:55Speaker 1: since twenty twenty two. Chad Epperson will serve as the
- 48:02Speaker 1: club's interim third base coach. He's been the manager at
- 48:10Speaker 1: Double A since twenty twenty two. So yeah, we're they're
- 48:14Speaker 1: they're really leaning into the guys that have developed a
- 48:17Speaker 1: lot of these guys down to the minors. Colin Hetzler,
- 48:24Speaker 1: he's gonna be joining the major league hitting staff. He
- 48:27Speaker 1: was the WU Sox's hitting coach last year before being
- 48:34Speaker 1: with the Mets organization for four seasons and serving as
- 48:39Speaker 1: their Triple A hitting coach for a couple of years.
- 48:42Speaker 1: So leaning very heavily into the guys down to the
- 48:48Speaker 1: minor leagues. Greg who will manage the WU Socks? Now?
- 48:56Speaker 1: I mean that's a good question. Well, someone's going to
- 49:00Speaker 1: be having some good news here today. They're going to
- 49:03Speaker 1: be getting hired eventually as the wusas manager. I don't know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: do they put the bench coach. One of the guys
- 49:10Speaker 1: already on the staff. Maybe I don't know. Remember last year,
- 49:14Speaker 1: you know, one of the guys I think is being
- 49:17Speaker 1: kind of almost forgotten about here is Ramone Vasquez. Ramone
- 49:21Speaker 1: Vasquez the bench coach. Remember last year he was the
- 49:24Speaker 1: interim manager for what one or two games, And I
- 49:28Speaker 1: still remember people last year were saying, oh, man, we
- 49:31Speaker 1: got to make Ramone Vasquez the manager. He had a
- 49:34Speaker 1: couple of good moments talking with Christian Campbell and the dugout.
- 49:37Speaker 1: The cameras caught that Ramone Vasquez. He seemed like a
- 49:41Speaker 1: good guy, Davy and the chat. I still think to
- 49:46Speaker 1: focus on analytics is a bad idea. Fundamental baseball is king.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I mean, I think there needs to be a balance.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm okay with analytics, and you know, I'm okay with
- 49:55Speaker 1: drive line, I'm okay with all that, but there has
- 49:59Speaker 1: to be a balance. You can't just lean so heavily
- 50:02Speaker 1: that direction you got. That's why I wanted Bregman back
- 50:07Speaker 1: so badly, because he just brought that good baseball iq
- 50:12Speaker 1: that the drive line analytics will never be able to produce.
- 50:18Speaker 1: You gotta have that that those good baseball minds in.
- 50:21Speaker 2: The fold.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Steve Buck Showalter. I don't think Buck Showalter is coming
- 50:28Speaker 1: out of retirement. Pretty sure he's done now tripping the
- 50:31Speaker 1: chat they did veritec dirty. If I were him, I
- 50:34Speaker 1: tell the Red Sox to f off. No way, he's
- 50:36Speaker 1: actually coming back. Well, looks like he's doing something with
- 50:39Speaker 1: the Red Sox. We'll see. But again, remember they moved
- 50:43Speaker 1: his position a couple of years ago. So I don't know. Man,
- 50:49Speaker 1: Oh man, what a day? What a day? I mean,
- 50:56Speaker 1: not even a day. What a couple of hours? An hour?
- 50:59Speaker 1: How long have we even been here? We haven't been
- 51:01Speaker 1: here an hour yet? Holy cow? What an hour? Man?
- 51:10Speaker 1: All right, I'm refreshing everything I can. I mean, does
- 51:17Speaker 1: Macadam put anything out besides the article that he wrote? Nope,
- 51:23Speaker 1: Bradford anything, w e I they're going live. Oh, I'm
- 51:30Speaker 1: sure you're gonna hear some stuff on the radios. Oh man,
- 51:36Speaker 1: I can't even imagine what Tony Mazerati is saying right now.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Holy cow. Felger and Maz they're probably going crazy right now.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Goodness gracious. Every time I go on YouTube, I always
- 51:56Speaker 1: see just something from Felger and Maz, something about firing Cora.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Oh I can't even imagine what they're saying now, Parker
- 52:08Speaker 1: in the chat, I don't think kra is the problem.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I don't think you're necessarily wrong. I think more so
- 52:14Speaker 1: what this is. I don't think it's necessarily about the ability.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I think that comes into play a little bit. But
- 52:21Speaker 1: I think also a lot of the times it's not ability,
- 52:25Speaker 1: but it's also just getting a new voice. Sometimes you
- 52:31Speaker 1: could have, you know, you could have the best manager
- 52:34Speaker 1: of all time, but if they're not connecting with the
- 52:36Speaker 1: team and things are going in one ear and just
- 52:39Speaker 1: going right out the other ear, just going over people's heads.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's not gonna do anything. You could be
- 52:44Speaker 1: the smartest baseball mind, but you got to be able
- 52:47Speaker 1: to connect to not just from a personal point of view,
- 52:51Speaker 1: but just obviously with the game when it comes to
- 52:55Speaker 1: strategy and everything like that. So it could be that
- 53:01Speaker 1: they just needed someone new most of the time that
- 53:04Speaker 1: that's a big part of it. But you know, from
- 53:11Speaker 1: a hitting point of view, they needed to go in
- 53:13Speaker 1: a different direction, They needed to switch that up a
- 53:16Speaker 1: little bit. Yeah, like the real Carl in the chat,
- 53:23Speaker 1: how about when you get two strikes and you shorten
- 53:25Speaker 1: up your swing, try to put the ball in play, right.
- 53:27Speaker 1: I mean, there's been a lot of times like that
- 53:29Speaker 1: where we just talked about this a couple of nights ago.
- 53:33Speaker 1: You know, they're getting ahead and counts like two to one,
- 53:35Speaker 1: there were some counts or you know, getting three to
- 53:36Speaker 1: one counts and they're just chasing out of the zone.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I'm thinking, why are you just taking the walk here?
- 53:44Speaker 1: You know? I don't know, it's just stuff like that.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Little things like that just comes back, have come back
- 53:52Speaker 1: to bite this team so many times they're just trying
- 53:55Speaker 1: to hit the crap out of the ball. I don't know,
- 54:00Speaker 1: Jay and the chat Breslo is ninety percent of the
- 54:02Speaker 1: problem chorus for the lousy players. Again, I'm very curious
- 54:10Speaker 1: what the long term future of Breslo is. I think
- 54:17Speaker 1: a lot of how this season goes is that's gonna dictate.
- 54:23Speaker 1: That could dictate what happens with Breslo in the future.
- 54:33Speaker 1: What is Ken Rosenthal saying? Has he got something? I
- 54:44Speaker 1: haven't seen Ken post anything. I think he's doing the
- 54:46Speaker 1: game tonight, so he's probably just taking care of that.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Is there anything else out there? Remember if you see anything,
- 54:55Speaker 1: tag me in it. I see on YouTube at or
- 55:03Speaker 1: socks Costanza, you're the man. Appreciate you, my friend. Man
- 55:08Speaker 1: oh man. We're just trying to find anything we can here.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I won't be here too much longer. I feel like
- 55:13Speaker 1: there's not really a whole lot else. Have the Red
- 55:15Speaker 1: Sox updated their coaching staff page? Well, they still got
- 55:26Speaker 1: Cora on here, but they have put Chad Tracy without
- 55:31Speaker 1: his picture there, but they've put Chad Eperson. Man oh man, again,
- 55:47Speaker 1: I mean to try to start winding this down here,
- 55:53Speaker 1: Chad Tracy the manager, bringing a couple of guys from
- 56:00Speaker 1: the minor leagues as well to help out with the
- 56:02Speaker 1: coaching staff. Very interested to see what else ends up happening,
- 56:15Speaker 1: s C. Gilmore. Ideally, in hindsight, the Red Sox would
- 56:19Speaker 1: have been more attractive to a real MLBGM, and then
- 56:23Speaker 1: Breslow should have been brought in as the head of
- 56:25Speaker 1: the minor league pitching development. Yeah, I remember, you know
- 56:32Speaker 1: they had interviewed other guys before Breslo. Breslo was lower
- 56:36Speaker 1: on the list for them. Very interesting. What a hour here.
- 56:48Speaker 1: We have had a blockbuster hour. I think we had
- 56:52Speaker 1: a record stream here today. But man oh man, what
- 57:00Speaker 1: a turn of events this has become again I thought
- 57:02Speaker 1: they were just gonna make one adjustment with the hitting staff.
- 57:08Speaker 1: But remember Coorra, what was it yesterday he came to
- 57:14Speaker 1: the defense of Peter Fatsy. I don't know. I'm very
- 57:19Speaker 1: curious to see how that comes into play. What else
- 57:23Speaker 1: comes into play here? I don't know. Was there something
- 57:27Speaker 1: behind the scenes where maybe it was just gonna be
- 57:36Speaker 1: the hitting the hitting staff, then Core interjected or something.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Maybe there was a falling out. I don't know, man,
- 57:45Speaker 1: I'm very curious about this Kevin Polar tweet. What is
- 57:56Speaker 1: Kevin Pilar is telling us what we got? Kevin Polar
- 58:07Speaker 1: should have fired Breslo Fantcy, the best hitting coach I've
- 58:11Speaker 1: had in my career. Now, you know, some guys are
- 58:13Speaker 1: gonna connect with, you know, different hitting coaches. I'm sure
- 58:18Speaker 1: Kevin Polar connected very well with him, but something was
- 58:23Speaker 1: not working from an overall point of view. Red Sox stats.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Let's check on Red Sox stats. What has he got
- 58:32Speaker 1: for us? All right? So he put out a thread
- 58:42Speaker 1: about thirty minutes ago. Let's read this together. Hold on
- 58:51Speaker 1: a second. When I click on the thread, it's not
- 59:00Speaker 1: all coming up. All right. Well, I don't know why
- 59:03Speaker 1: that's happening. Oh here we go. Okay, all right, So
- 59:13Speaker 1: he put the amount of dysfunction in the Red Sox
- 59:16Speaker 1: front office going on two years far outweighs anything going
- 59:22Speaker 1: on the field. Openly discussed leadership failure. People are miserable
- 59:26Speaker 1: in their jobs and underappreciated. The inner circle is like
- 59:29Speaker 1: three people backstabbers and spies everywhere. Rampant embarrassing embarrassment of
- 59:38Speaker 1: longtime employees slashing departments in pay without any directive to
- 59:42Speaker 1: do so in what is a usual brotherhood league. Peers
- 59:47Speaker 1: are cheering on Red Sox front office embarrassment. I have
- 59:51Speaker 1: heard of multiple front office dysfunction articles in the works.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Like I said, you're gonna start hearing some stuff was
- 59:59Speaker 1: told there. There are long term and ongoing issues of
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: top young players and prospects not buying into the Red
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Sox programs, deferring to the people they work with in
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the offseason. Since about April twenty twenty five, it's been
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: infuriating to hear about what a joke the team is
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: being run, Like very interesting. I mean, we've been hearing
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: this stuff going back to last year. Definitely seems like
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: there's a lot of a lot of messiness going on.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I mean, we go back to two off seasons ago.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: We had heard about the disagreements on Bregman, right, that
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: people were split on bringing him in. Seemed like more
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: so the baseball focused people wanted to bring in Bregman,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: like Cora, but people that were more into the analytics
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: weren't really for that move. What did Catillo just say?
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: What did Catillo say? Oh? What have we got here?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Who's that guy? What is this? John Henry, Sam Kennedy
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and Craig Breslow exit the team hotel in Baltimore after
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: a historic shakeup for the Red Sox. Who's that guy?
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Who is that? Well there's Craig, there's Sam, and there's
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: John Henry. The reverse cigar image. Oh man, well John
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Henry's not smoking any cigars anytime soon. But who who
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: is this guy? I didn't know who that guy is?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: That just a fan that ran up and said, oh man,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a picture of these guys. Is that
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: John Henry's son? No?
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Has that?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Who's that guy? What is Let's go to Carabas, Let's
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: see what he's saying. I'm sure he's got some stuff out,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: all right. Responding to the Catillo tweet saying they're gonna
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: be moving Veritec to a new role, saying yeah, I'm
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: sure he's absolutely going to accept this new role and
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: definitely won't tell the team to f themselves. I guess
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I want to know what the new role is. I
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: don't know is there gonna be I'm guessing there's not
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: gonna be a pay raise involved, That's what I mean.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I wonder if it's just gonna be like an advisor position, like, Hey,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: we really love you here. You know, we want you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to be an ambassador for the Red Sox, But you know,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: how about we just pay you to stay at home?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Is that the new role is Jared responding to anyone's comments,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: not seeing any replies, Well, I don't know, look out.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I mean again, there's gonna be a lot of stuff
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: coming out tonight and tomorrow morning. I'm pretty sure guys
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: like Katillo are gonna be staying up all night. You
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: know what would be hilarious. You know what just came
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to my mind. I really, I actually really hope this happened.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I hope Katillo was eating meal somewhere and it got interrupted.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: That has happened so many times with him. Please tell
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: me that didn't happen again. Don't tell me Catillo was
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: out to eat somewhere and he had to stop mid
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: meal to do this, because that happens with him every
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: single time. I pray that his meal did not get interrupted. Paul,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Netflix picked the wrong year for the documentary. I don't
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: know what the heck is going on. I'll say this,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you know, I guess a closing thought here. At the
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: end of the day, you can look at the manager,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the president of baseball operations, the players. It always starts
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: at the top. Always, success or failure will always trickle
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: down from the top. If you don't got a stable
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: unit at the top, then you're gonna be an unstable organization.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: This has been going on for years. It's like a
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: freaking soap opera. Like go back every single year. There
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: has been almost like pretty much every single year, minus
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: maybe a couple where there's been a dramatic story. You
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: go back to the early days of John Henry theo
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Epstein was leaving in a gorilla suit. This isn't new.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: That's a good point in the chat. Fenway's finest I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: don't like corus batting order. Anthony should be hitting third,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Massa comes from the bench to hit third. Well, I'll
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: say this, I'm very curious to see what the batting
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: order is gonna look like over the next couple of weeks. Oh, Extron,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I know people that have interned in the front office
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and have talked about the level of dysfunction. Well, I'll
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: tell you this. I'll tell you this. Ever since they
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: started focusing on Famiwaly Sports Group looking at renovating the
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: area around Famway Park, they haven't really been involved. You know. Sure,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: there's been a lot of drama over the years, going back,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you know to the gorilla suit with theo Epstein, but
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: at least they were winning whatever. You can have all
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: the craziness you want, but if you're winning World Series, okay.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: But ever since twenty eighteen, you know, there's been a
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: lot more emphasis on Family Sports Group, you know, expanding
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: their portfolios. Listen, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna bash
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: people for trying to make money. I mean, whatever, that's
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: your choice, but don't go absent on the team that
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: got you there in the first place. I'm all about it.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I'm all about you know, doing what you gotta do.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: You know, from your own financial standpoint, but don't completely
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: ditch what's you know, what got you there, And that's
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: been a problem for me personally, you know. And then
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you know last year, when they actually put some effort,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: they go get Bregman. Listen, I get it, you know.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Dave Dombrowski, he put the finishing touches, the final big
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: moves to help that twenty eighteen team win. The farm
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: system wasn't a bad place at the time. It got
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: completely dismantled. They had to restock that. I understand if
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: maybe they wanted to rebuild the farm system over the
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: last few years. But when you take a look at
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: when they actually put pen to paper and brought in
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: a guy like Bregman, all of a sudden they're winning
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: and things are feeling good again. Right when when you
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: actually try you can win games. A certain fish four
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: ninety nine. The Jake Min's tweet makes me wonder if
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Korra was told yesterday that some coaches were getting canned,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and kor told them, if you fire them, fire me too.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: That's kind of what I was getting at a little
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: bit earlier. I was kind of thinking that, you know, like,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: because Core is a fat Sea supporter, obviously, he's on
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: his coaching staff, right, But that was there, That's what
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I'm thinking. I wonder if earlier, at some point in
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the last few days or so, it was mainly focused
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: on the hitting staff and that's the direction they were
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: going to go. And maybe they were set on that
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and they said, hey, Cora, we're gonna make this move.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, I'm speculating completely, but did
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Korra wake up today saying, uh, you know, did he
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: go Did he go to them and say, hey, I'm
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna be gone too. Is it possible
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: that that is what transpired here? It was gonna be
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: the coaching staff, but then Cora said, no, if it's them,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you got to do me too. I don't think that's
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: completely crazy what you're saying, because they really love Coorra there.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Don't think that's completely crazy, U s c. Gilmore. My
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: brother has some friends at w e I and connected
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: to the organization. I got a direct quote three weeks
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: ago that Cora has a personal vendetta with Meyer going
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: back to his first week last season. Very interesting. I mean,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: you go back to this past spring. I don't know,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: even though like saying he needs to earn the job.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I'm I'm okay with that, but it was almost kind
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: of like the way he was saying it, it felt
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: like almost like harsh in a way. I have been
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: told in the past that I've said this many times
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: on the stream, that people have questioned Meyer's work ethic
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: in the past right getting into the weight room. That
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: has been something that's come up. I was told that
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: directly a couple of years ago. We'll see what ends
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: up happening, but I'm sure we're gonna be getting a
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: lot over the next twenty four hours. I'm sure these
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: guys are gonna be up all night trying to find
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: stories anyway they can. I'm sure you're gonna see a
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: lot lot of stuff coming out Phoenix in the chat. Well, shoot,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: since we're spelling tea. My brother in law was with
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the Twins organization with Falve. That's how I knew about
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: the Joe Ryan stuff. Honestly, I wonder if Derek Falvey
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: could be a guy if the Red Sox give a
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: phone call to at some point for some kind of
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: a role. I don't know. Roman Anthony is Meyer's best friend,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: so as an organization, it was time to choose whether
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: or not you're going to push out another round of
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: young stars who don't vibe with cor. That's why I
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: do think the Chad Tracy move. It's obviously like, it's
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: not like you're gonna go out there and go hire
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: a manager right now. That's gonna be very hard to do.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: But the fact that they were comfortable doing that, I
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: think says a lot thinking like, Okay, let's bring the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: guy that knows these younger players up to the team,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Chad Tracy. So the fact that they were comfortable to
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: do that, I think says a lot that. Could that
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: could tell you a thing or two about I don't
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: know again, could that possibly reveal some kind of a
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: disconnect with Core and the team? I don't know. What
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: a crazy hour here, man, oh man, it's only gonna
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: get crazier. I'm gonna tell you that right now. You
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: think it's done now, well, it's only gonna You're only
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: gonna hear more over the next couple of days. Sunday morning,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that's when a lot of these these media groups they
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: like to put stuff out Sunday morning. Just wait for it.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Get your popcorn ready. It's only gonna get noisier. I'm
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: gonna get out of here, ladies and gentlemen. I'll do
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: one last check to see if there's anything else.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: I mean, is there is there.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Any juiciness out there. I'm not seeing anything nothing. I'll
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: check Atillo one more time. You just had the picture.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything else out there, but we'll
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: definitely be having an interesting postgame show tomorrow. There's gonna
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: be a lot of stuff to talk about then. So
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the game tomorrow is on at one thirty five Eastern time,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: so we'll be back tomorrow probably around four thirty five o'clock.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: So made sure you're coming here tomorrow because there's definitely
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: gonna be some stuff to talk about. There's gonna be
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: some stuff coming out here over the next twelve hours
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: or so, but everybody, I'm gonna get out of here.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Thank you so much for coming here today. I do
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: appreciate that. I think I don't know if we set
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: a record here today, but we definitely got close. I
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: think we had about a thousand people in the chat
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: at one point, which is pretty amazing for a channel
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: that's still growing. So I do appreciate that a lot.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: But I'm gonna get out of here. I'm gonna edit
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: this down a little bit because I'd like for the
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: replay views to be pretty decent, so I gotta chop
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: out a lot of this stuff. There's a lot of
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: me just being quiet and rambling. Thank you, Noah, thank you, KMD.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I appreciate you, guys, appreciate it a lot. Man, oh man,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: It's crazy how over the last couple of years I've
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: got to spend a couple of historic moments in Red
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Sox history with all of you, and unfortunately they've been
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: rather negative, trading Rafi and now firing almost the entire
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: coaching staff. Pretty cool to spend that with all of
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: you at home. So Phoenix in the chat just psyched
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: for it all. I'll be honest, Hey, I like me
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: a little drama too. I like the entertainment, so get
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: your popcorn ready. I'm excited to see what happens here.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: But in the end, what we all want is for
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the Red Sox to just start winning games. Will this help?
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Only time will tell. I don't know the answer to that.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Maybe they'll see, uh, maybe we'll see a better connection
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: between the team and the new guys coming into the
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: coaching staff. We'll see hopefully I'm out here, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: if you can hit the like button, subscribe if you're new,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: and I'll see you tomorrow
