• 0:01
Speaker 1: A small show, a smallsy show.
• 0:04
Speaker 2: Hey, this is the script and you're listening to small.
• 0:09
Speaker 3: From Danny from the script is here.
• 0:17
Speaker 4: Yes, how are you Mate' great, it's good to see it.
• 0:19
Speaker 4: It's wonderful to say to me, to see me. Well,
• 0:22
Speaker 4: you're supposed to me being jet lagged your jet leg
• 0:24
  Speaker 4: this time.
• 0:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm the I'm the one who hasn't slept and
• 0:28
Speaker 1: could you know, answer or ask weed questions. So it's
• 0:31
Speaker 1: wonderful to see you. House life, catch me up. Last
• 0:34
Speaker 1: time I saw you, you was in Australia. Yeah, and
• 0:37
Speaker 1: you were just about to do the.
• 0:39
Speaker 4: Tours on the tour of the wineries. You know what
• 0:41
Speaker 4: I mean, proper Irish band thing to do. Yeah, get
• 0:43
Speaker 4: on the gargle. Yeah, that was We had such a
• 0:46
Speaker 4: great time. And then we came back. We finished off
• 0:50
Speaker 4: the rest of the world tour, went straight into the studio.
• 0:53
Speaker 2: And then recorded a new album.
• 0:54
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 0:55
Speaker 4: And then I've been sitting on an album pretty much
• 0:57
Speaker 4: since last September. Okay, and then and we've we got
• 1:01
Speaker 4: a call from Take That too. They said that they're
• 1:04
Speaker 4: doing their Circus tour, which is the same tour that
• 1:08
Speaker 4: we started off on.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Yes, so I'm coming to the show and I didn't,
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: and I'm so excited because I didn't. I'm like, I
• 1:15
Speaker 1: didn't go to the take that Circus tour or see
• 1:17
Speaker 1: you the first time around. And I've been seeing on TikTok,
• 1:21
Speaker 1: like the elephant woman, the woman who hangs off the
• 1:23
Speaker 1: back and she whips her hair, and the water fountains.
• 1:26
Speaker 3: This is a production.
• 1:27
Speaker 4: Yeah, if you haven't seen it, you need to go
• 1:29
Speaker 4: see it. Yeah, it's insanely massive. It's a kind of
• 1:32
  Speaker 4: like Circus.
• 1:33
Speaker 2: Alea meets music, you know, meets the boy band, you know.
• 1:36
Speaker 4: Yeah, and we so, like I said, we were lucky
• 1:39
Speaker 4: enough that take that kind of shelled us off to
• 1:41
Speaker 4: all their fans all those years ago. And then, like
• 1:44
Speaker 4: I said, in the meantime, we've been trying to catch
• 1:46
Speaker 4: up on their hits, you know, because they've got so many.
• 1:48
Speaker 4: And then they call us to say that they're doing
• 1:50
Speaker 4: the same show again. They want to recreate that same
• 1:54
Speaker 4: night of having us support and them going on after.
• 1:57
Speaker 4: So I was just like absolutely, you know, they did
• 1:59
Speaker 4: like seven hundred thousand.
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Tickets, seven hundred thousand tickets.
• 2:03
Speaker 4: Insane amount of tickets to do. So we've got an
• 2:05
Speaker 4: album coming out and it just means we can rock up.
• 2:08
  Speaker 3: We don't.
• 2:08
Speaker 2: You know, it's not all hinging on my performance. So
• 2:11
Speaker 2: just like rock up, pressures off.
• 2:13
Speaker 4: To play for an hour and you got hits now too,
• 2:15
Speaker 4: like and you know what I'm saying, We kind of
• 2:17
  Speaker 4: we're not.
• 2:17
Speaker 2: Caught up, but we you know, we did our best anyway.
• 2:19
Speaker 2: But yeah, it was.
• 2:20
  Speaker 4: Just it's a it's a magical night where you get
• 2:22
Speaker 4: kind of contrast of two different bands on the one night,
• 2:25
Speaker 4: but we all have the kind of similar fan bases.
• 2:28
  Speaker 4: I think there's there's a some take that songs the
• 2:30
Speaker 4: script could do, like black for Good stuff like that.
• 2:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe even your favorite real the world.
• 2:35
Speaker 4: Yeah absolutely, and same vice versa. Did you want to
• 2:38
Speaker 4: question did you when you grew up, what did you
• 2:41
Speaker 4: listen to? Did you want to be in a boy band?
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: What?
• 2:43
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 2:43
Speaker 2: That was that was wanted to be in everything. I
• 2:45
Speaker 2: just wanted to be in music.
• 2:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, regardless what that was like, Yeah, I wanted
• 2:49
Speaker 4: to rap. I wanted to be the third member of
• 2:51
Speaker 4: Criss Cross. Yeah yeah, like not simply the fact that
• 2:54
Speaker 4: I couldn't wrap, but all so you're not black, so
• 2:57
Speaker 4: how was that gonna work?
• 2:58
Speaker 2: But I could wear my underpants.
• 3:00
Speaker 4: Dream though, Yeah, potato with a dream.
• 3:04
Speaker 2: I will one day I'll be a black wrapper. Yeah,
• 3:07
Speaker 2: but no, I wanted that.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: And then you know, watching TLC and like all these
• 3:12
Speaker 4: like really colorful kind of bands coming through, but then
• 3:15
Speaker 4: the boy bands kind of come through and it just
• 3:17
Speaker 4: looks like girls were all over them. When you're a teenager,
• 3:20
Speaker 4: it's better than having girls screaming.
• 3:22
Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, you will like.
• 3:23
Speaker 3: This is what we're gonna do. And I believe you me.
• 3:25
Speaker 4: I've been at rock concerts and both my brothers were
• 3:27
Speaker 4: in rock bands and heavy metal bands, and there ain't
• 3:30
  Speaker 4: nothing but a loaded dudes. They're like people you'd you'd
• 3:33
Speaker 4: see at the front row in wrestlers. Yeah, there's me
• 3:36
Speaker 4: like old bearded men, dirty smelly, you know what I mean.
• 3:39
  Speaker 4: So I was like, I think I might I might
• 3:41
Speaker 4: prefer to be go with the clean ladies and said
• 3:44
Speaker 4: and the dirty men.
• 3:46
Speaker 3: And it has worked out. It has worked out.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Now you are coming to Australia next year. Yeah, okay,
• 3:53
Speaker 1: let me quickly go through the dates. You're going to
• 3:54
Speaker 1: be playing Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Uh, this is gonna
• 3:58
Speaker 1: be the Men in the Arena tour in line with
• 4:02
Speaker 1: the new album that's coming out as well.
• 4:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're so excited. The single Man in
• 4:07
Speaker 4: the Arena. I read this speech by Theodore Roosevelt and
• 4:13
Speaker 4: he wrote it in the early nineteen.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: Who is just so people know he is a famous
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: former US president.
• 4:18
Speaker 3: We may not know who he is.
• 4:19
Speaker 2: Yes, sorry, shout out to Teddy. Yeah dead, yeah, Daddy.
• 4:26
  Speaker 3: Roosevelt.
• 4:26
Speaker 4: No, but he just he wrote this brilliant speech yep,
• 4:29
Speaker 4: about about the you know, the spoils and the honor
• 4:34
Speaker 4: and glory belongs to the person who's actually in the ring,
• 4:37
Speaker 4: whose face is marred with blood and dust, who's actually
• 4:40
Speaker 4: in there trying and not. It doesn't belong to the
• 4:43
Speaker 4: critics or the people in the cheap seats sitting there
• 4:45
Speaker 4: laughing at them and pointing as there as the strong
• 4:47
Speaker 4: man stumbles and all these things.
• 4:49
Speaker 3: So which is can I say?
• 4:50
Speaker 1: It's a very like I've done some therapy in my times,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: and and the man in the Arena notion actually comes
• 4:56
Speaker 1: up for anyone who like does anything in front of
• 4:58
Speaker 1: people or who is criticized. It is used as a
• 5:01
Speaker 1: point to go. Actually, it doesn't matter if you fall
• 5:03
Speaker 1: or you stumble. Like Teddy said that you're there doing
• 5:06
Speaker 1: something is way more important than anyone who is criticizing
• 5:10
Speaker 1: from the chief seats.
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: It's a beautiful it's a beautiful sentiment.
• 5:13
Speaker 4: And for people who are I guess not really used
• 5:16
Speaker 4: to you know, offering your workout to the world.
• 5:19
Speaker 2: When you're an artist and you offer here's what I do.
• 5:22
Speaker 4: Years ago, it used to be only people who cared
• 5:25
Speaker 4: about art would comment on it, and then you're kind
• 5:28
Speaker 4: of like kill But now it's like you're putting it
• 5:29
Speaker 4: up to the world, and the world it almost seems
• 5:32
Speaker 4: like it's like being online is like a blood sport.
• 5:35
Speaker 4: You know that people you know, you kind of like
• 5:37
  Speaker 4: it's it's funny.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: It's funny you say that too, because it's like, I
• 5:41
Speaker 1: don't know if it's the algorithm or what it is,
• 5:43
Speaker 1: but nice, nice, nice things doesn't work. No one gives
• 5:48
Speaker 1: a shit, No one cares, no, no one cares, like,
• 5:51
Speaker 1: like respectfully, and I'm gonna give this, Like, you get
• 5:53
Speaker 1: out there, do an amazing vocally incredible performance.
• 5:56
  Speaker 2: Yeah, people will.
• 5:57
Speaker 1: Be like, h Danny sound great, flick, Yeah, you get
• 6:01
Speaker 1: up there, miss a note, sounds terrible.
• 6:05
Speaker 3: Holy shit, they're going to eat that up.
• 6:06
Speaker 4: They two million views and two thousand comments. See I
• 6:10
Speaker 4: told you that he hasn't gotten it anymore. But then
• 6:13
Speaker 4: there's then and then other people get involved. It really
• 6:16
Speaker 4: is if you say you don't know if it's in
• 6:17
Speaker 4: the algorithm, it's one hundred percent.
• 6:19
Speaker 2: That's what the algorithm is. It's hate, it is discourse.
• 6:22
Speaker 4: It's a bit of a difference. So hate is just
• 6:24
Speaker 4: pure hate. But what is hate shouting into the voids?
• 6:27
Speaker 4: You need somebody to show back with goods. So underneath
• 6:30
Speaker 4: every post they'll have the boss, which is like, oh,
• 6:33
Speaker 4: this is an amazing performance, and then the other guy
• 6:35
  Speaker 4: going this.
• 6:36
Speaker 2: Is absolute mook. How dare you say that?
• 6:38
Speaker 4: By the way, I've seen your profile for you look
• 6:40
Speaker 4: like a mug, and then the next person underneath.
• 6:42
Speaker 3: You've seen the comments section.
• 6:44
Speaker 2: Listen, I live in the comments section. I'll get great
• 6:46
Speaker 2: fun out of it.
• 6:48
Speaker 3: Do you get do you read okay?
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Do you does sometimes? Do you get triggered by the
• 6:53
Speaker 1: comments though? Or have you built a bit of a
• 6:56
Speaker 1: thick skin where nothing they can say to me that
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: I ain't heard?
• 6:59
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 7:00
Speaker 4: Like there was at one point a few years ago,
• 7:01
Speaker 4: I had like a lot of burner accounts, and I
• 7:03
Speaker 4: was like, on my behalf I'm like answering on you know,
• 7:06
Speaker 4: saying like how dare you you were that you were
• 7:08
Speaker 4: burned to myself and the third person like, how dare you?
• 7:10
Speaker 4: He put his heart on his you know sleeve and
• 7:13
Speaker 4: you know he wanted England to wear that jacket and
• 7:15
Speaker 4: you just can't. It doesn't fit you because you're too fat,
• 7:18
Speaker 4: you know, like like just.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: And you know what the craziest thing is is that
• 7:23
Speaker 1: I have been told like people who are breaking into
• 7:26
Speaker 1: music today are told have your number one your account, right, yeah,
• 7:30
Speaker 1: but then also go and make yourself a fan account
• 7:32
Speaker 1: and you have to be the fan in your comment
• 7:34
Speaker 1: section saying saying, oh my god, Danny's so great, isn't
• 7:39
Speaker 1: he looking good today?
• 7:40
Speaker 4: He's looking fantastic? Or I'll see I'm such a self hater.
• 7:43
Speaker 4: I would actually just be the mean guy. I'd be like, god,
• 7:45
Speaker 4: he looks like a big head, looking like this guy's
• 7:47
  Speaker 4: looking unbelievable.
• 7:48
Speaker 2: He's ugly, little so and so.
• 7:51
Speaker 4: But that's the it's the world that we're living in
• 7:53
Speaker 4: because this it's discourse. You look at the likes of
• 7:56
Speaker 4: X any social media and it's written into the algorithm.
• 8:00
Speaker 4: Is that discourse? And haven't but here's here's a frightening statistic.
• 8:04
Speaker 4: Is one of every three tweets you read or whatever
• 8:09
Speaker 4: they call now posts that you read isn't real.
• 8:13
Speaker 2: Every three what do you mean?
• 8:14
Speaker 3: One out of it?
• 8:15
Speaker 4: But third of what you read on the internet it's
• 8:20
Speaker 4: a bus or it's a fake, made up conversation to
• 8:22
Speaker 4: get you interested in what.
• 8:24
  Speaker 2: They're talking about.
• 8:25
Speaker 4: Why why does it seem like a more hate field
• 8:27
Speaker 4: is because the companies know and they've seen. If you
• 8:31
Speaker 4: even ask GROC about the business model, say that discourse
• 8:34
Speaker 4: has written into the as a business model because it
• 8:37
Speaker 4: gets you the dopamine hit. Once you see you see
• 8:40
Speaker 4: two people fighting, alarm goes off, Like.
• 8:42
Speaker 3: What then you I'm watching it, I'm watching.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: I'm watching. I want to see what he's saying back
• 8:46
Speaker 2: to him, back to him.
• 8:47
Speaker 4: But it's it's the way that you can kind of
• 8:49
Speaker 4: keep people's attention until finally when you doom.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: Scrolled and you're like, I need to get out of here.
• 8:54
Speaker 4: Which I have to say in Australia, you guys were
• 8:57
Speaker 4: the first to ban social media for sixteen but yeah,
• 9:01
Speaker 4: unbelievable they just did it here.
• 9:02
Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, how has that landed in the in the UK?
• 9:05
Speaker 1: Because in Australia. Some people were onto it, and yes,
• 9:09
Speaker 1: other people were like, great idea, but I hate that
• 9:12
Speaker 1: the government is like getting involved because like there was
• 9:14
Speaker 1: a fee that they might be a digital idea and
• 9:16
Speaker 1: that they might track what we do.
• 9:17
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 9:18
Speaker 4: Well you see that's that is happening over here, and
• 9:20
Speaker 4: it just so happens a care starmer.
• 9:22
Speaker 2: You know, he got he resigned yesterday.
• 9:24
Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think that's probably the best thing he's
• 9:27
  Speaker 4: doing with that.
• 9:29
Speaker 2: True. Now, there are other.
• 9:31
Speaker 4: Safeguards that are happening to like take away your your
• 9:35
Speaker 4: anonymity online. Yeah, but I have I don't know because
• 9:39
Speaker 4: I'm not an expert on it, but I have to
• 9:41
Speaker 4: say there has to be some accountability somewhere along the
• 9:45
Speaker 4: way for their being completely anonymous anonymous hate you know.
• 9:50
  Speaker 3: No, I agree.
• 9:50
Speaker 4: My wife is she's let's say, a victim of just
• 9:53
Speaker 4: fans anonymous hate you know, directed at her. Yeah, and
• 9:58
Speaker 4: it's like and they'll set up different account and say
• 10:00
Speaker 4: different things and contact our family just and stuff.
• 10:03
Speaker 2: So I see it firsthand. There's only a certain amount of.
• 10:06
Speaker 4: You know, if you approach any of these social media
• 10:08
Speaker 4: companies that are like ignore it, you know, you've got
• 10:11
Speaker 4: to report it and.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: No, but that's why I asked you, like for people
• 10:15
Speaker 1: who like for you, who's been doing it basically his
• 10:17
Speaker 1: entire life. You it doesn't mean it doesn't trigger you,
• 10:20
Speaker 1: and it doesn't mean it doesn't like sometimes sting, but
• 10:22
Speaker 1: you have you build a bit of resistance to it
• 10:25
Speaker 1: when you know that your family and friends, they didn't
• 10:27
Speaker 1: sign up for that.
• 10:28
Speaker 4: And also if people say anything about me, my family
• 10:34
  Speaker 4: get triggered.
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 10:35
Speaker 2: You know, I know.
• 10:36
Speaker 4: Because I've sat and talked to a reporter and then
• 10:39
Speaker 4: the next day read the story and I remember the
• 10:41
Speaker 4: conversation and it didn't go like that. And so I've
• 10:45
Speaker 4: years of I know just about how much to feed,
• 10:49
Speaker 4: you know, the animals before.
• 10:50
Speaker 2: You know, you have to be in the cage with them.
• 10:52
Speaker 3: And I'd never do you dirty.
• 10:54
  Speaker 2: No you haven't.
• 10:55
  Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
• 10:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't know that.
• 10:57
Speaker 4: It's just going to edit this helping, you know, get
• 10:59
Speaker 4: every I said and play it on you or till
• 11:01
Speaker 4: you get what I want.
• 11:03
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it is it is.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: No. I get you on that point, because like you know,
• 11:06
Speaker 1: for the family more, Yeah, it must be Look, I
• 11:08
Speaker 1: can imagine it would be tough, and I think it
• 11:10
Speaker 1: doesn't even matter, you can say something, but for some
• 11:15
Speaker 1: reason people still doesn't.
• 11:16
Speaker 3: Get through their head.
• 11:17
Speaker 2: Like I think people.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: Think that the anonymous hate on the internet is victimless
• 11:21
Speaker 1: because they don't realize the actual impact that that world.
• 11:24
  Speaker 2: It's I actually think I think you're to a certain degree,
• 11:26
  Speaker 2: you're right.
• 11:27
Speaker 4: I think the person feels so insignificant that they're like, oh,
• 11:31
Speaker 4: I just posted like, oh, this is a crap song
• 11:33
Speaker 4: underneath Justin Bieber, he's hardly gonna he's hardly going to
• 11:36
Speaker 4: read it, like he's off being famous and doing whatever.
• 11:39
Speaker 4: But it's interesting that you've you know, not just a
• 11:42
Speaker 4: hate comments because you're you know, even let's say the
• 11:45
Speaker 4: content that you do here, there's got to be some
• 11:47
Speaker 4: part of you. At the end of the day. You
• 11:49
Speaker 4: have a boss. Yeah, your boss looks at how many
• 11:53
Speaker 4: views you've had? Totally what's the type of interview you did?
• 11:56
Speaker 2: Is it a bit more salacious? Can you not lean
• 11:58
Speaker 2: into that character a bit more? You know?
• 12:00
Speaker 4: But then also not just your boss is treating you
• 12:03
Speaker 4: with stats the internet.
• 12:05
Speaker 2: You can see how many lakes.
• 12:06
  Speaker 4: You got, so's it's almost like it's not like a
• 12:09
Speaker 4: bad comment, but a lack of likes.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: It's almost like the internet punched.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: You to no I no, I agree, and if we
• 12:15
Speaker 1: and if we go back to what you said before,
• 12:17
Speaker 1: the social media platforms reward discourse and we can have
• 12:21
Speaker 1: a mad bro loving in this interview and you know,
• 12:25
Speaker 1: a couple thousand people will watch it. But if I
• 12:28
Speaker 1: slammed you and say something really offensive about you know anything, boom,
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: my boss will.
• 12:36
Speaker 2: I was like, let's do it, just reform.
• 12:39
Speaker 4: You should do it like a social experiment where we
• 12:40
Speaker 4: have a really awkward interview and you say some mess
• 12:43
Speaker 4: up things and I say some mess of things and
• 12:44
Speaker 4: it just cuts and then.
• 12:46
Speaker 3: Just see which one goes by what happens.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent will go viral.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: Tell me about the new song, which is obviously we
• 12:54
Speaker 1: started getting into the Man in the Arena, but it's
• 12:57
Speaker 1: is it completely driven by that?
• 12:59
Speaker 2: Is that what it was? Well, it's driven yeah, kind
• 13:02
Speaker 2: of like that. It's more of an answer.
• 13:05
Speaker 4: To to today's day and age, you know, it's it
• 13:08
Speaker 4: was the first single that we thought off the album.
• 13:10
Speaker 2: The album was called.
• 13:11
Speaker 4: The User's Guide to Being Human and it was just
• 13:14
Speaker 4: in this day and age where AI is coming in,
• 13:17
Speaker 4: everybody feels like they're losing their jobs, tech is surrounding
• 13:20
Speaker 4: us completely. We're almost forgetting what it means to switch
• 13:25
Speaker 4: the phone off and go out and just like spend
• 13:28
  Speaker 4: time with.
• 13:28
Speaker 2: The people you love, yeah, looking to their eyes.
• 13:32
Speaker 4: That it came about with this song, and then we
• 13:35
Speaker 4: started to write about the human condition, so it was
• 13:38
Speaker 4: it's quite like a lot of other Script albums in
• 13:40
Speaker 4: the way that I'm just trying to explain what it's
• 13:43
Speaker 4: like to be me now, living in the day and
• 13:45
Speaker 4: age we're in and trying to remain as human as
• 13:48
Speaker 4: I possibly can be. Yeah, before we get out of here,
• 13:50
Speaker 4: because we're not here for a long time.
• 13:52
Speaker 3: So that song have we got have we got some
• 13:54
  Speaker 3: hot break songs?
• 13:55
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 13:55
  Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Which it's a killer, it's a class and
• 14:00
Speaker 4: is the Man who Can't Be Moved part too, because
• 14:01
Speaker 4: it's the continuation of the story okay.
• 14:04
  Speaker 2: Yes, it's called.
• 14:05
Speaker 4: Them living living our life without me, okay, and it's
• 14:08
Speaker 4: it's like it's it's placed years on. So if there
• 14:11
Speaker 4: was a movie, it's now the amount of time has
• 14:13
Speaker 4: passed and the song is done and I don't want
• 14:17
Speaker 4: to give too much away, but the plot in this scheme,
• 14:19
Speaker 4: I'm probably gonna shoot the.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: Video go back to the same corner. Oh my god,
• 14:22
Speaker 2: I'm just sitting there and then she shows up.
• 14:24
Speaker 4: I'm getting she doesn't show up. No, she shows up,
• 14:26
Speaker 4: shut up. Yeah, but she's there and her husband's there.
• 14:29
Speaker 3: Oh fuck that you what are you doing that to
• 14:31
  Speaker 3: us for?
• 14:32
Speaker 4: And I noticed there's a ring on her finger and
• 14:34
Speaker 4: of course finger. Yeah, and then his fucking kid steps
• 14:36
Speaker 4: out from behind him. No, it doesn't look like me,
• 14:39
Speaker 4: and his eyes don't look like mine.
• 14:41
Speaker 2: It's like this heartbreak.
• 14:43
Speaker 4: Moment where you do you do you in our life
• 14:45
  Speaker 4: without me?
• 14:46
Speaker 1: Do you in that moment, like realize that you're That song, right,
• 14:52
Speaker 1: is gonna be someone's breakup song, like like the Man,
• 14:55
Speaker 1: Like the Man Who Can't Be Moved is a is
• 14:57
Speaker 1: millions of people's breakup song, like they you know, there
• 15:00
Speaker 1: is a moment that the worst thing happens, their relationship
• 15:02
Speaker 1: busts up, and that song gets them through that and
• 15:05
Speaker 1: they cry and they wind their windows down and they
• 15:07
Speaker 1: scream it why And now you're going to do that
• 15:11
Speaker 1: to a whole new generation hoping that's.
• 15:13
  Speaker 2: The planet great?
• 15:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, I love you know people cry like.
• 15:19
Speaker 2: Adele, Hello from the other side. Is is?
• 15:24
Speaker 4: It's kind of like in that same same thing as like, Okay,
• 15:26
Speaker 4: we've had I sang the song about you all those
• 15:28
Speaker 4: years ago, and it's like hello from the other side.
• 15:30
Speaker 2: I've now gotten through.
• 15:31
Speaker 4: The heartache and it's still hurts and it's still painful
• 15:34
Speaker 4: to talk about you, but it's it's kind of in
• 15:37
Speaker 4: that same way, in that same same vein.
• 15:39
Speaker 2: It's actually on piano as well, which is it's beautiful.
• 15:42
Speaker 3: T jerk out it. I love it.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: Ah, talk to me about AI in music?
• 15:48
Speaker 3: Are we using it? Are we hating on it? What
• 15:50
  Speaker 3: do we?
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: What do you?
• 15:50
Speaker 2: It's mad because I go on a journey.
• 15:52
Speaker 4: I think the same thing as well as if you
• 15:54
Speaker 4: talk about it in an artistic side, everyone's going to
• 15:58
Speaker 4: be in the comments section be like.
• 15:59
Speaker 2: This, So I get rid of it.
• 16:01
Speaker 4: You know, you would have been one of the bands
• 16:02
Speaker 4: we thought would have been against it, and I am
• 16:05
Speaker 4: completely against it, But I don't need to be too
• 16:07
Speaker 4: vocally against it because it's against itself. It can't it
• 16:11
Speaker 4: can't replicate what a human does. It can musically, you
• 16:15
Speaker 4: can kind of go oll that sounds like a track,
• 16:17
Speaker 4: like a well polished you know, yeah, But as far
• 16:20
Speaker 4: as the human condition or lyrics, I still to this
• 16:23
Speaker 4: day haven't seen anything that comes anywhere near close to
• 16:27
Speaker 4: a human describing what it's like to be human. There's
• 16:29
Speaker 4: something in it that tells me, how can a robot
• 16:33
  Speaker 4: ever replicate?
• 16:35
Speaker 2: You know, the zeitgeist that is artists?
• 16:38
Speaker 4: Know, because I personally I can see a song or
• 16:42
  Speaker 4: two doing well.
• 16:43
Speaker 2: I can see all these things.
• 16:44
Speaker 4: But as far as an artist, I mean, you think
• 16:46
Speaker 4: of the ecosystem that's there, you've got okay, you know,
• 16:50
Speaker 4: you want to go see the band. Part of me
• 16:52
Speaker 4: is like I see an artist, and what I like
• 16:55
Speaker 4: about the artist is the fact that they're broken. Maybe
• 16:58
Speaker 4: then maybe they come from the same place as me,
• 17:00
Speaker 4: or they've gotten through you know, the.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: Same thing, similar thing that I've gone through.
• 17:05
Speaker 4: Yeah completely, maybe I haven't, but I can really identify
• 17:07
Speaker 4: it or find it beautiful how someone was able to
• 17:10
Speaker 4: turn all of that heartache and tragedy into something beautiful.
• 17:14
Speaker 4: And that is part of the journey for me because
• 17:16
Speaker 4: I like my artists broken.
• 17:17
Speaker 2: I like my favorite.
• 17:19
Speaker 3: People, the best ones. Yeah, a little bit.
• 17:21
Speaker 4: Yeah, they're a lot of bit you know, Yeah, but
• 17:24
Speaker 4: I don't think that well at the day when you
• 17:27
Speaker 4: know a robot is able to do that or come
• 17:29
Speaker 4: and do an interview because I like I like artists,
• 17:32
Speaker 4: and I look at artists, but I also want to
• 17:35
Speaker 4: know about them and where they're from and look on
• 17:37
Speaker 4: the say, look on their Instagram. And because today how
• 17:40
Speaker 4: transparent you can be online. It's all like the fourth
• 17:43
Speaker 4: wall is completely broken down to two artists, and I
• 17:46
Speaker 4: find that I'm not scared at all. But we've been
• 17:50
Speaker 4: doing fun things, like we have our new single Man
• 17:53
Speaker 4: in the Arena. And I heard I was listening to
• 17:55
Speaker 4: Joe Rogan and he was saying, I was looking me
• 17:57
  Speaker 4: on the podcast.
• 17:58
Speaker 2: I was on it Joe Rogan the other day. Yeah,
• 18:00
Speaker 2: I heard Joe saying this to me, but I was
• 18:03
  Speaker 2: on this.
• 18:04
Speaker 4: I was listening to his podcast and he said that
• 18:07
Speaker 4: he has it translated into every language but with but
• 18:13
Speaker 4: then put applies his own voice on it. So it's
• 18:16
Speaker 4: Joe Rogan's voice speaking Chinese.
• 18:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, because AI can do that, right, like you can.
• 18:22
Speaker 3: You can read a couple of.
• 18:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, So it translated over.
• 18:26
Speaker 4: So it's Joe Rogan's actual voice speaking Spanish, even.
• 18:30
  Speaker 2: Though Joe Rogan.
• 18:33
Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, but I think that I think there's something
• 18:36
Speaker 4: really unique about that. So I tried it with Domanic
• 18:39
Speaker 4: can't be moved. So my girlfriend is French. My girlfriend,
• 18:43
Speaker 4: my wife don't wie no, no, no, my wife is French.
• 18:47
Speaker 4: So she translated word for word domanic can't be moved,
• 18:51
Speaker 4: and so I sang it and I sorry, she sang
• 18:55
Speaker 4: it yeah. And then we applied my AI to to
• 18:59
Speaker 4: it at and then she listened to it.
• 19:02
Speaker 2: She was like, oh my god, this is insane.
• 19:04
Speaker 4: I was like, what, she goes, well, the song itself,
• 19:07
Speaker 4: I always pictured there was a guy in America on
• 19:10
Speaker 4: an American street singing this song, because it's like words
• 19:14
Speaker 4: on cardboard, picture on my hand, but hearing it in
• 19:16
Speaker 4: my own language, you're actually on my street from me
• 19:21
  Speaker 4: in France.
• 19:22
Speaker 2: And it made it. It brought it a lot closer
• 19:25
  Speaker 2: to home.
• 19:25
Speaker 4: She said, I put a whole new, beautiful spin on it,
• 19:27
Speaker 4: and I was like, wow, this is what am like.
• 19:30
Speaker 4: That's the type of AI okay, fun stuff you do.
• 19:33
Speaker 4: But like as far as like letting letting it write
• 19:36
Speaker 4: for you or you know, I'm just writing lyrics I
• 19:39
Speaker 4: pride myself on. I mean, if I gave my job
• 19:42
Speaker 4: away or have nothing to.
• 19:42
Speaker 3: Do, you know, absolutely.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: Last question is a heat wave here in London, Yes, terrible?
• 19:48
Speaker 1: What how are you keeping cool. Are you going to play?
• 19:51
Speaker 4: I wasn't even gonna do interviews today, but I have
• 19:53
Speaker 4: no airic on in my in my hotel, so I
• 19:55
Speaker 4: just decided I'll come down here.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, do the interview. I appreciate you, getting preciate you
• 20:00
Speaker 1: what I'm spending some time. We'll see you in Australia
