Rabies Alert: Bat Found Positive in Cascade | Missoula News
A bat in Cascade City-County has tested positive for rabies — a serious threat that could be fatal if left unchecked. While human cases are rare in Montana, especially since 1997, experts urge caution: don’t touch wild animals, especially bats whose tiny teeth can deliver unnoticed bites. Keep pets vaccinated, seal up homes to keep bats out, and seek immediate medical help if bitten — prevention and prompt action are key.
