- 6:33Maren, welcome to the QVC podcast. I am so
- 6:36excited for this conversation. Me as well. Thank you so much for
- 6:40having me. All right, so as we were just talking
- 6:44about our. You know, the audience here is very in tune with
- 6:48frequency healing. We sound healing, light healing,
- 6:52and I would imagine, from your perspective,
- 6:56the. Our own voice would be the starting point
- 7:00for all of that. So I would love to hear your perspective
- 7:03on the human voice from. From the Quantum world.
- 7:08You're 100% right. That's in my world. This is the. We
- 7:11go to tuning forks. We go to singing bowls. We go to. To gongs, and
- 7:15they all are incredible tools. So nobody is going to
- 7:19diminish how important sound healing from outside is.
- 7:22But we have a primary tool that we've had since the moment we were born
- 7:27that was designed for this purpose. So
- 7:30we do have the ability within our own voice to heal our body, to
- 7:34manifest our life, to create the world. We're actually creating
- 7:38the world by our resonant frequency and how it taps
- 7:42into the entire unified field. And our voice moves
- 7:46through our entire body to do that. So knowing our
- 7:49voice primarily, I think all humans will begin to thrive.
- 7:55Wow. I have. I have chills. Could you. Could
- 7:59you unpack that a little more? So it
- 8:03starts in the moment that you're born? The very first thing we do is
- 8:06cry. Typically, there are babies that don't, and they have their
- 8:10reasons for that. But for most of us, the first instinct of a human
- 8:14is. Is to inhale spirit inspiration or respiration.
- 8:18Right. Respiriting the body. Our first act as a
- 8:22human, we have to pull our spirit in
- 8:27and wake up the intelligence of this form. And we do that through a big
- 8:30scream. And what that does is it
- 8:34creates resonance through the entire body. If you've ever held a baby
- 8:37crying, you know that we use every muscle of the body when
- 8:41we're very, very young. And that voice, which is the original
- 8:45voice, aligns our spirit with our form and
- 8:49wakes up our whole intelligence from
- 8:52there. As we get older, our voice becomes manipulated and minimized,
- 8:56and we change the way we use all of those muscles. And we only
- 9:00send sound through very specific channels. But that original
- 9:03voice of us opening our body, if we can return
- 9:07to that, if we could actually get back to using our full voice, that way,
- 9:11we're sending a resonance signal through different
- 9:15layers of frequency that we have. And
- 9:19so I guess I'm jumping here, but the. The chakra system,
- 9:22which. I'm using the word chakra because that's one lineage's
- 9:26way of of talking about it, but really it's your
- 9:29nervous system and it's different groups of nerve endings that run up and down the
- 9:33body which create electromagnetic fields off of our form.
- 9:38Our voice in its totality will awaken and use all of
- 9:41those fields. So we're sending out a full
- 9:45antenna spectrum of sound, resonance and frequency into
- 9:49the quantum, which then will mirror what
- 9:52we're sending out so that we live it in reality.
- 9:56These are ancient teachings back in the Rig
- 10:00Veda. They speak of the human voices unmanifest form
- 10:05and how our voice will create the imprint.
- 10:08And then from the 5D we'd say, or the scalar
- 10:12field, the matching resonances will then create
- 10:16physical reality. Yeah.
- 10:19Wow. So what's coming to me is we've really,
- 10:24a lot of us have kind of, I think internalized the idea that
- 10:28our thoughts have a
- 10:33huge consequence in our experienced reality.
- 10:37And what I'm hearing you saying is that it's not just
- 10:40the thought, it's also the, I don't know what
- 10:44word to use tone quality of how we
- 10:48articulate that, those thoughts out loud. Yeah, I
- 10:51actually, I use the word sound signatures. Sound signatures. Beautiful.
- 10:55Okay. Like how, how we produce
- 10:59the sound from what support muscles and what resonators the sounds
- 11:03move through and have a very specific effect on
- 11:06how that sound will be responded to out in the world.
- 11:10Wow. And yeah, I was mentioning to you off camera
- 11:14that I used to do a lot of theater and back in school
- 11:18and I remember some of the voice
- 11:22coaches talking about, you know, the different ways that we cut off our voice.
- 11:26And I just, I have a memory where they brought in some
- 11:30professional theater actors and someone came
- 11:33out to introduce them and he was like, oh, we're. Here, here are the
- 11:37people around. And he said their names. And then these theater actors came
- 11:41and they started speaking and like the whole room filled. They had
- 11:45no microphone, they had no nothing. And it, and I just was like,
- 11:49what is going on? Like their voices were so
- 11:53powerful. Yeah. Commanding.
- 11:57Yes. Response. Right. Or commanding. There's so
- 12:00many different ways that you can look through this. So I. You'll have to ask
- 12:04me and lead me in directions because the voice, it's just such
- 12:07a multi dimensional thing. We could talk about how
- 12:11it works, but what you're speaking about right now is an embodied voice.
- 12:15So you're taught when you go to acting school or music school, but
- 12:19even this, I would say classical voice is different than
- 12:22original voice than what I work with. But we'll, we'll go to
- 12:26here when you're learning how to speak in. In acting school, you're
- 12:30learning how to breathe your diaphragm down support and then
- 12:34send sound specifically through parts of the body to create
- 12:38what the emotional resonance of something is. Emotions
- 12:42come from deep within. Emotions are something that are inside of us. So when we
- 12:45speak through the whole body and is informing
- 12:49the voice of what the emotional quality of what we're saying is,
- 12:53not just the thought and the concept of it, but where does that live in
- 12:55the body and where does that move from? When someone's listening to you,
- 13:00they find you right in that space so you immediately
- 13:03connect to them. They don't even need to understand your
- 13:07language. The word you're saying wouldn't even matter. They would know,
- 13:11oh, this is heartbreaking. Oh, this is gut wrenching. Oh,
- 13:14this is passionate or this is sad or this is whatever it might
- 13:18be. And it comes from the way we move sound
- 13:22from our body out into the world, which then connects directly in
- 13:26to the receptor that we are. So the human body is a
- 13:30transmitter and a receptor of energy. And how
- 13:33we transmit that frequency is how any other human
- 13:37is going to receive it. So if I come to you
- 13:41from my heart when I speak, your heart immediately becomes
- 13:45coherent with mine. And now we're in a heart to heart
- 13:48conversation. If I come to you from my head,
- 13:52we're going to be head to head, right? There's a lot that happens in this
- 13:56world that goes that way, right? Yes. My
- 13:59gut from down in my body. I'm going to ground you into your
- 14:03deepest body. And now you're going to sit and you're going to listen. You're going
- 14:07to stay with me because you're going to be in your body because we're my
- 14:10voices. And so I don't say this so people
- 14:13manipulate the world, although we can with that and many,
- 14:18many different careers, like politicians and actors
- 14:21and all that are taught how to manipulate sound. My work
- 14:25is to get us to authentic voice so that each person can
- 14:29actually live their truth, speak their truth and live and like
- 14:32have their world be met from their authentic voice.
- 14:37Wow, that is so powerful. So I'd love to
- 14:41get into some of how to do that, but first
- 14:45I'd like to hear your story of how you connected with your voice
- 14:49and with this work. Okay, so if I'll
- 14:52tell this as quickly. Okay. Because as we were saying, like I've been looking for
- 14:56someone who's, who could do like quantum voice work for a long
- 15:00time. So I was so delighted to find you because it
- 15:04just, I'm like there Must be someone who's made these connections. And here you are.
- 15:07So we'd love to hear. Love to hear the journey. It started with
- 15:11performance. It started just like you. You said you went to school for this, right?
- 15:15They found my voice when I was 5, and I was already
- 15:19a singer. Like, I came into the world with the ability to sing. So the
- 15:22first time they heard me sing, they were like, wow, she's got talent,
- 15:26right? Natural talent. And then they just put me into voice classes. So
- 15:30I got classically trained, and I was given the
- 15:33dream to become a performer, an entertainer,
- 15:37and it served me for a really long time. I decided I went to
- 15:41all the schools, I did all the voice works. I learned the music, and I
- 15:44did the acting and the voice, like, all this stuff, and I got this training.
- 15:47But throughout that entire process, there was a
- 15:51deep underpinning of insecurity.
- 15:54And I think that in general, when we're young and someone finds a gift or
- 15:58a talent and they say immediately, like, you're going to become a professional at
- 16:02this, and they go into hyper training you, there's so much competition
- 16:06and comparison and rejection and success, right?
- 16:10Like, it's both, but they're. It just. You're
- 16:13always trying to beat someone else out for the role. You're always in
- 16:17this, like, comparative place. So there's a lot of ego
- 16:21that gets caught into that. And depending on how strong our ego
- 16:25is, how often we could be rejected or not or how often
- 16:28we're given the roles, it really affects how we feel about what our
- 16:32abilities are here. So meanwhile, I had a. I had
- 16:36both. I had success, I had failure. I had all of it. But I. I
- 16:40still was in this. Like, I just never felt good
- 16:44enough. Even though I was great, I never felt good enough.
- 16:48And I think that our schools do. They. They give us
- 16:51that. They give us that. There's never enough. There's always the more. There's always
- 16:55the next character. There's always the person who you're trying to compare
- 16:59yourself to and trying to become the best, right? And that just
- 17:02wasn't my world. It just. It didn't work out for. For my soul and for
- 17:06who Maren was. It wasn't. There was always a dissonance is what I'd say,
- 17:09right? So the talent was there,
- 17:13but there was always this underpinning, as I said, of insecurity and
- 17:17needing to prove something or those nerves that people get when they
- 17:21get up to sing or they get up to perform of like, am I going
- 17:23to be good enough? Am I going to mess this up, all that like that.
- 17:26For what I say, it shouldn't be there. There's no. Once you actually
- 17:29understand what you are and how this thing works, there's no reason to
- 17:33evaluate it. We just have to live it right.
- 17:37So the. The idea of. For a while, that was
- 17:41going on, and then ultimately, I was working with
- 17:44this record label when I was 19 years old, and I was in a
- 17:48situation that was very. Not creative. I was, like, singing other people's
- 17:52songs and doing this for the sake of being famous.
- 17:55It was really like, why anybody would get signed to this particular group. We were,
- 17:59like, put together to be a harmony group,
- 18:03but we weren't creatively in control. We were, like. We, like, auditioned to
- 18:06be part of this group. And this idea of being signed to a record label,
- 18:10everyone's dream. But while I was living it, it was a nightmare. It just didn't
- 18:13feel good. I didn't get. Get. Get along that well with the girls that I
- 18:17was paired with. We got along, but it wasn't like, you know, it didn't feel
- 18:21like the way it was supposed to feel, I think, to be an artist and
- 18:25create. And so I decided that I was just not going to be a singer
- 18:28anymore. I decided to quit. My whole life, I had done
- 18:32nothing but this. My whole life. And I decided that I wanted to find out
- 18:36who I was without being known as the voice,
- 18:40because that was how I was known. Like marin's the singer. And I left
- 18:43my life. I left everything. I had to figure out who the heck
- 18:47I was. And this is young. I'm 19 years old, but I just. Wow. Yeah,
- 18:51that's early to do. To do the big pivot.
- 18:55Soul level. I know that there's something else I'm here for,
- 18:59but at a teenage. At that time, that's not what marin's
- 19:02thinking. She's just thinking she's unhappy and she's, you know, whatever. Not.
- 19:06Not satisfied. But at the same time, at a soul level, what I
- 19:10come to understand now Is that what was driving me Knew that I had a
- 19:13different destiny. So I quit everything and didn't know who
- 19:17I was supposed to be. And a very long story short, I end
- 19:21up traveling to the other side of the world to find myself. So I get
- 19:24to australia to try to figure out who I'm supposed to be in this world.
- 19:28So I had to, like, separate myself from everyone who already had a design on
- 19:32who marin's gonna be to people who nobody knew me. And I had to, like,
- 19:35find out parts of myself. And when I got there,
- 19:39I ended up on an ashram
- 19:43with that. That someone that I had met there brought me to, where they did
- 19:46this fire ritual called Agnihotra. I don't know if you've
- 19:50ever heard of this, but it's a Vedic fire ritual where
- 19:54in a copper pot, a copper pyramid with cow
- 19:58dung and brown rice and ghee, you chant these mantras over this
- 20:01pot. So this was in a
- 20:05place called Cessnook in Australia, where there was. In 35
- 20:09years of drought, and there was all this farmland that was
- 20:13dry and cracked, and you couldn't. Couldn't grow anything on it. But
- 20:16this ashram that we were on was plentiful.
- 20:20It had fruit trees and gardens growing massive like
- 20:24beetroots and kale. And like, it was. It was just abundant.
- 20:28And there were all these water limitations because of the drought, so there
- 20:32was legal water limitations. And they weren't watering anything more than
- 20:36anybody else. What they were doing instead was they were chanting these mantras
- 20:40over these copper pyramids and then putting the ash on the
- 20:43ground that were full of this frequency. And it was
- 20:47creating this whole conversation with Earth that seemed almost
- 20:50impossible. And so I.
- 20:54That's so cool. That was my first taste of
- 20:58what you're talking about here with the voice being part of the quantum
- 21:01connection and how resonance that moves from us
- 21:05feeds the soil, feeds the whole biosphere
- 21:09that's around you. And how even now we could
- 21:13say people, there's science around this. Like the frequencies that help plants
- 21:16grow. Plants grow best to Bach. Certain
- 21:20sounds, right. But people who tend to plants, I don't know if you
- 21:23do. I sing to my plants all the time, and because of that, they are
- 21:27growing beautifully. They live so well. It's like they want to
- 21:30be spoken to and sung to. And the resonance there, that connection
- 21:34makes such a difference. Right? Bright. So anyway, back here, I saw
- 21:38it for the first time, and I stayed on that ashram. And the. The things
- 21:42that started changing in me, my eyesight improved, my. My overall
- 21:46health improved. There was all of this shifting in myself
- 21:50from this mantra. And I had this moment of realizing
- 21:54the voice is not performative. It's not for
- 21:57entertainment. Like, yes, it's joy inducing for sure.
- 22:02It increases serotonin, it increases dopamine, it
- 22:05oxytocin, like all of our bliss chemicals when we sing
- 22:09are lit. And so, yes, it is for that. That enlightening and
- 22:13that joy, but it's not for attention and it's not for, like,
- 22:16seeking validation and all of those things. Our voice is
- 22:20creative, our Voice literally
- 22:24creates the physical world. So then as
- 22:27I started looking into it, I saw, you know, in these ancient texts,
- 22:31they speak about this, that the human voice is unmanifest form, as you already
- 22:35heard me say, and that the sou that moves through this body
- 22:39actually goes through the fifth chakra, which is the center of
- 22:43manifestation, and it moves this resonance
- 22:47through the entire form. If you look at the chakra system, we
- 22:50have earth at the bottom, we have water at the
- 22:54second, we have fire at the third, we have air at the
- 22:58fourth. Fifth is ether, sixth is space.
- 23:03So the ether is the element that we don't get taught in the
- 23:06West, Right? Well, it's been taught on this
- 23:10podcast. So our audience is all down with the ether.
- 23:14Imagine that your voice is a tool that takes all
- 23:18those other elements, moving sound,
- 23:21resonance through them, out through the ether, and then
- 23:25culminating or conjuring is a word. I use all of those
- 23:28elements to become what you physically
- 23:32get to experience out there. Right. And this is our
- 23:37life. Wow. Could you say that one more
- 23:40time? When you use your totality of your
- 23:44voice, you're going to breathe and you're going to root down
- 23:48into the whole body. So sound gets produced through the
- 23:52entire body, which means that you're. You're
- 23:55activating earth, water,
- 23:59fire, air, and that's all moving through the
- 24:02ether and the space, which is our
- 24:06mind. When you talk, we said our thoughts are so
- 24:10important. Right. The mind here or the head, the third eye
- 24:14is the. What kind of visionary, like, what kind of space can
- 24:17you create to see that manifestation to
- 24:21actually happen? So our mind being open is
- 24:25everything, and our mind being able to be expansive enough to
- 24:28allow to hold space for all those elements to then
- 24:33create what you're moving through your throat chakra. When
- 24:36you're. When you move sound through the whole body, out of the throat, you're
- 24:40then calling or conjuring all of these elements to come together
- 24:44to create into what we call physical reality
- 24:48that which we are expressing out.
- 24:52Wow. Absolute magic. Absolute
- 24:56magic. That every one of us
- 24:59possesses that we all have access to. Right, then.
- 25:03This isn't about having a specific talent as an
- 25:06actor or a singer. This is our inherent.
- 25:10This is what our biology is meant to be doing.
- 25:15Yes. So what
- 25:19happens along the way that
- 25:22stops us from having our. The full expression
- 25:26of our sound signature. The
- 25:29outside world, other people's creations,
- 25:35because we are the creator, but we are first informed
- 25:39by what the others who have come before us have created.
- 25:42We have this. False, very false. In
- 25:46the. In my experience, a depiction of that our
- 25:50eye, we call this the third eye here at the. At the middle there.
- 25:54And we say that this would be I1 and I2 are two seeing eyes.
- 25:58And then our third eye is there. But what actually exists is that our first
- 26:01eye is our pineal gland. We are visionaries here
- 26:05to create the world. And our second and third eye get to then
- 26:08witness our creation. But when we're younger,
- 26:12we're being informed by the world that's already been created that we enter.
- 26:16So we look through I1 and I2 and see reality,
- 26:21and then say, okay, how do I think about and
- 26:24restructure and create from the reality that exists? And
- 26:28for a lot of us, that means we're going to limit our potential.
- 26:32So the depending. I mean, in my work, it's heartbreaking,
- 26:36but the first time most people open their mouth to sing,
- 26:40someone around them tells them that they're not good or to shut up. Or now
- 26:43like, shh. Or obviously you can't sing or whatever it might be.
- 26:47And I've heard story after story about this. But even if we go without
- 26:51singing before that, one big yell
- 26:55that your parents say no in any kind of a harsh way
- 26:59creates a nervous system response from something that's naturally
- 27:03moving from us to. And tightens
- 27:07that muscle or tightens that up. The next time we go to
- 27:11express ourselves, we're going to have to move through something that
- 27:14contracted, so we're going to have to really
- 27:18push through. And the more and more and more that happens, the more and more
- 27:21contracted we become. So, yes, the vocal cords work
- 27:26even with very little muscle support. Our breath can move into our
- 27:30lung and we can make some sound through the vocal cord, but we lose the
- 27:34capacity to breathe down all the way to our body and support from the
- 27:37root all the way up. So what you get then, if we're looking at
- 27:41that system of elements, is we're not accessing earth,
- 27:45which is shakti, that creates physical reality.
- 27:49We're not accessing water, which is the ability to move our emotions,
- 27:52energy in motions, right? And emotion moves
- 27:56particles. So if we aren't moving our emotions,
- 27:59we're not moving as much particle as we could be moving to create
- 28:03some shift in our life. And then we're not firing that
- 28:07out into the world to catalyze it into creation.
- 28:10Instead, what we get is some air, which is enough to just
- 28:14support some vibrational sound here, and a thought process which is
- 28:18very limited, right? Because we're not actually in this body,
- 28:21activating the full intelligence of what we are.
- 28:25So we're Limited to what we can create. We could still think and dream and
- 28:29all of that, but we can't manifest it because you can't
- 28:32manifest life without that earth and that water and
- 28:36that fire. That's how physical world exists. Right? We've got
- 28:39the soil, we've got the water, and we've got the sun that
- 28:43activate all the physical life that we get to live. And
- 28:47then we get our dream that we get to make physical.
- 28:51But we get. We get condensed and we get stifled and
- 28:55we get. Corseted is the word I actually use. Like, we get tight
- 28:58to living these dreams. Like, we still have these ideas, but we
- 29:02don't have the embodiment energy to actually create that into physical
- 29:06form.
- 29:10This. This makes so much sense.
- 29:14So what do you see when you
- 29:17support people to access their full sound
- 29:21signature? Like, it's not, you know. You know, I'm
- 29:25like, oh, I. I need to learn some breathing techniques because sometimes when I'm doing
- 29:28a podcast, my voice tightens. Right. But that's just a very,
- 29:32what you're saying, like a very surface level. You're
- 29:36talking about accessing something much deeper. And so how I would imagine you
- 29:40people's lives transform way beyond just how their voice sounds.
- 29:44Vocal transformation. You can
- 29:47rebirth yourself whenever you're ready. To every one of us,
- 29:51I always. The Buddha. The Buddha. Every day, we are born again. It
- 29:55is what we do today that matters most. It is what we do today
- 29:58that matters most. It is what we do today that
- 30:01materializes the most. But we are all carrying around
- 30:06the story of who we think we are. And we're carrying that around
- 30:09not just in our concepts, we're carrying that around in our fascia, in our water,
- 30:13in our body, in our cells. So I can decide to change my
- 30:17mind, fine. I can convince myself with affirmation that that is
- 30:20not. But still, the physical form reacts to
- 30:24the world the way that it's holding memory. So our primary
- 30:28release has to be somatic. We have to get the
- 30:32cells to vibrate differently. And our
- 30:35voice, if you've seen any cymatics, you know, any work of
- 30:39putting sand on a. On a plate or water in a singing bowl, the
- 30:42cymatics that get created, our own voice does that to every drop
- 30:46of water inside of our own cellular structure. So when we start to do
- 30:50voice work, we're literally expressing the
- 30:53past out so that the water can
- 30:57build a whole new self. What I help people with is
- 31:02profound life changes. I mean, I can honestly tell you that there
- 31:06is nothing anybody listening what you think might be
- 31:1110 PhDs away from you or another person's
- 31:14life. We're talking about quantum here. We're not talking about a time
- 31:18space reality. We're talking about things that can change on a
- 31:22dime whenever you're ready to shift the frequency that
- 31:26you're carrying. I have watched marriages that were done
- 31:29re completely fall in love again. I have watched women who are infertile
- 31:33have babies. I have watched people who are hundreds of
- 31:37thousands of dollars in debt get completely out of that and become their
- 31:40own success millionaires. Like I've watched. I have watched
- 31:45health. I've watched heart disease reverse itself. I have watched so
- 31:49many things go down, it's unbelievable. But
- 31:53that's why I dedicate my entire life to it. I can tell you there is
- 31:56nothing that a human cannot reverse
- 32:00once we decide to change that imprint. And we could say, oh
- 32:04yeah, it's years and years and years. It's even epigenetics, Right.
- 32:08But there's study around epigenetics too. And so the
- 32:12epigene is a protein sheath that is
- 32:16around the DNA code. And it's literally
- 32:19depicting what part of our DNA expresses and
- 32:23doesn't express. And cortisol and adrenaline and all those
- 32:26stress hormones create that epigene to activate those parts of
- 32:30us. But all the other stuff that I mentioned already. Dopamine,
- 32:33serotonin, oxytocin. When you're in a bliss state,
- 32:37the whole epigene can transform and different parts of your genetics will
- 32:41start to come out. So when I look at the human
- 32:44DNA, the epigene is
- 32:480.01% of our DNA makeup.
- 32:51Every single human has access to
- 32:5399.99% of DNA that
- 32:57is not the way ours is currently expressing. And
- 33:01we can change the way we express our DNA just by shifting how that
- 33:04epigene moves. And the voice has the
- 33:08power to relieve all of the
- 33:12stressor hormones that create that continual epigenet expression
- 33:15and shift how that moves so that you can actually get other
- 33:19aspects of you to start to show up.
- 33:23Right. Yeah. No, this, this
- 33:27is, this is so good because, yeah, we, we
- 33:30talk a lot, you know, in this corner of the world about
- 33:34grounding being in natural sunlight,
- 33:37honoring the light and dark cycles of nature,
- 33:43because we are filled with liquid crystal
- 33:47that is being, you know, charged by that
- 33:51cycle. And we really understand, yeah,
- 33:55that we've been imprinted and we're holding on to
- 33:59whatever past traumas or belief systems that have come our
- 34:02way dealing with material reality. And so
- 34:06what I'm hearing you say is that the voice
- 34:10Is like the unlock
- 34:14for all of that. Yes. And we just
- 34:17have it here, sitting here right inside of us.
- 34:22And we were shushed. I mean, we were pacified. We were told
- 34:26in this world, we are told not to express ourselves
- 34:30authentically because when we're very, very young, it looks like temper tantrums.
- 34:33You're crying loud, you're crying in the middle of the night. And like all these
- 34:36times where your parents need you to be quiet, or you're teachers
- 34:40in school need you to be quiet, or your priests or your rabbis need you
- 34:43to be quiet, like everyone, we're taught to keep what our natural
- 34:47expressive thing is in. But that is our
- 34:51original intelligence. We express it, we move it out, and we
- 34:55have a reset. If we don't move it out,
- 34:58we don't get a reset. We get the repetition of the exact same thing again
- 35:02and again and again. So now we're looking at layers and layers
- 35:06of conversation that have been going on internally and that we have not
- 35:10been allowed to just simply like what we knew when we were babies. We just
- 35:13went.
- 35:17It was done. We didn't hold grudges, we didn't have
- 35:21resentments, we didn't have these stories. We just cried it out
- 35:25and we moved on. Next. That's what we did when we were very, very
- 35:29young. But once they tell us we're not allowed to express that
- 35:33we now have that living inside. So the next time someone does something similar to
- 35:37what we didn't get to move past, it just makes it worse.
- 35:41Gets thicker, gets deeper. Right. So
- 35:45as simple as expressing it out, as simple as something like a primal scream,
- 35:49which I take people through a lot, just getting
- 35:52out. And then there's space. And from space, you can
- 35:56actually make a choice of how you want to move forward,
- 36:00of how you want to think about something. But if you don't get it out,
- 36:03you're just going to keep thinking about it and feeling about it the same way
- 36:06you've always thought about it and felt about it. There's no room for change. Change
- 36:10where there is not space. Right. So we have to create the
- 36:14space internally. And the voice helps you express that all
- 36:17out so that you actually have reflection in space.
- 36:22And then you can make a better choice moving forward.
- 36:26So is that where the. The vocal transformation
- 36:31would start for most people is it is accessing
- 36:34the expression? Yeah. So the
- 36:38framework of what I do, there's many different ways that this work
- 36:42moves, but I'd call it the fundamentals of what I do is a chanting
- 36:45practice that moves from the root chakra. Up through the crown.
- 36:49So very basic yoga technique, the Bija mantra is the seed sounds.
- 36:54But one way, the way that I teach it, that I haven't seen it taught
- 36:56elsewhere, and if anyone out there is teaching it that way, please come find me
- 37:00because I want to compare notes, is that there's a way to
- 37:03support them that I, in my yoga teacher trainings, was never
- 37:07taught. So it's not just a simple like repeating
- 37:11of a sound. It's where in the body it's placed, it's how it's supported in
- 37:15there. And you're actually opening up the physical aspect of that
- 37:18part of the body. So layer by layer, from the
- 37:22time we're conceived until who you are now, all this stuff is stored
- 37:26inside. And it's all getting in the way of your ability to
- 37:30plug into the quantum field in the way that you want to,
- 37:34that one wants to. And instead what we plug in with is all of the
- 37:38unprocessed things that are standing in the way of the person that we want to
- 37:41create now. So you start with a chanting practice. It takes nine
- 37:45months to do the first phase of it, which is the exact amount of time
- 37:48it took to be born originally. You can use your
- 37:52voice or working with your voice, you can rebirth your entire system. System.
- 37:56And by going through each chakra for 40 days, you
- 37:59can begin to open the energy field,
- 38:03see what's still sitting in there, see what's needs to go
- 38:07and what is maybe undercharged and needs to amp up. And
- 38:11you begin to wake up these wheels of energy and get
- 38:14yourself into your correct alignment, which then you just
- 38:18see the whole process. The physical world starts to change around you.
- 38:22Your health improves, all of your habits start
- 38:26to change. And the reason why that happens is because a chanting practice
- 38:30increases alpha brainwave state. So
- 38:34your voice, when it's used in its totality,
- 38:38requires your diaphragm to move down. When it does
- 38:41that, it's going to press into your gut. Your gut is your
- 38:45instinctual center. It's going to open up
- 38:49the area of the heart simultaneously, which is your emotional
- 38:52center. And as you move the sound through all those resonators, it's going to
- 38:56increase brain alpha brainwave in your gray matter,
- 38:59which is going to increase your, your mind's ability to
- 39:03make new brain pathways. So your neuroplasticity
- 39:07increases. And when you're actually doing a chanting practice,
- 39:11you're creating an open field where all of these
- 39:14intelligences are working together congruently.
- 39:19Most humans function very heavily one way or the other.
- 39:23I'd say most of us are headstrong. Yeah. Some of us are, though.
- 39:27Highly. Like someone who's physically highly challenged will
- 39:31be. You know, their gut keeps them in fear of like, a world that will
- 39:34harm them. Someone who emotionally has been damaged a lot has a heart
- 39:38that closes off and prevents connection at an emotional level.
- 39:42Right. That's normally where the. The brain or the head
- 39:46has to cope. Like tons of coping mechanisms and. And
- 39:49strategy and logic. So we need to become a
- 39:53completely congruent vessel. All three of these brains
- 39:57are as important as each other. So we need to take it out
- 40:01of the head and give some of it back to the body. And when you're
- 40:03chanting or singing or using your voice in this way, in
- 40:07this original way, all three of those brains will be
- 40:10congruent. So you get to reset the system. You get
- 40:14everything to come back into your most. Your highest levels of intelligence.
- 40:19Wow. Okay. Yeah. And so it's like the, the
- 40:23sound. It's funny. My voice feels
- 40:27better talking to you than it did than it
- 40:31normally does. Usually I can feel like the more I talk, I. It
- 40:34starts to get tired and close up. And now I'm like, oh, so here
- 40:38I'm picking up your. Your vibes, Marin.
- 40:43So it sounds like the. The. The voice is.
- 40:47Is clearing the field and also like a kind of
- 40:51internal. Almost the way you
- 40:54described it with the muscles that the sound is.
- 40:58Is having like a physical impact on. On
- 41:02our biology. Yes. So you're.
- 41:05There's a couple of reasons. It has to do with the way the muscles work.
- 41:09The. The average human is sucking everything
- 41:13in all the time. We're so used to, like, holding in our stomachs. Holding
- 41:17look good. And to also just learning how to hold back
- 41:21what's really in there has created this wall and this kind of
- 41:24coarsening, as I said before. So when you do this voice work, you're actually
- 41:28working muscles in a very different way. You're. You're
- 41:31opening what we've become so tight around
- 41:35so your organs get more room to move.
- 41:39Your breath changes as that diaphragm drops
- 41:43so that your. Your whole system is detoxifying itself.
- 41:47It's incredible. Most people don't breathe correctly. We walk
- 41:51around breathing in a coping breath. We do not breathe the way we were designed
- 41:54to breathe. So when we do voice work, it retrains
- 41:58the breath. Now if I were to say, like, take a deep
- 42:02breath. Right. See, some people would breathe
- 42:06up into their shoulders. This is how we breathe. But this is not
- 42:10the way we're designed to breathe. As I'M sure you know, but the. This is
- 42:13feeding the head. And this has all come down to us bringing
- 42:17prana to the head, bringing our life force up. We're designed to breathe
- 42:21diaphragm down, and the bellies comes out and the waist
- 42:24comes out, and the low back even expands, and the root of the body
- 42:28drops to the earth. Our breath, every time we
- 42:31breathe is a way that our soul and our spirit takes our body and
- 42:35claims it. And when we breathe that way, our
- 42:38whole nervous system goes into parasympathetic.
- 42:43Our whole body says, okay, I'm here. And all this
- 42:46intelligence from the root to the crown and back is functioning together.
- 42:51But when we breathe up, we're breathing into the upper lung,
- 42:55which sends a signal to the body that we're stressed and our sympathetic
- 42:58nervous system takes over. So the vast majority of people that
- 43:02I work with start with a sympathetic nervous system breath.
- 43:06So just that alone, to support sound, we need to breathe the diaphragm
- 43:09down and then activate muscle in a way that
- 43:13supports that diaphragm to stay down and then
- 43:18really controls how fast it returns to its original point.
- 43:22So once we actually train our voice down, our
- 43:26whole breath will, after I say about 90 days, takes about three months
- 43:30for somebody who breathes up to be switched into a
- 43:33downward breath. That in itself will change a human life.
- 43:38That in itself will create a whole different level of energy
- 43:41and vitality. Your bowels function differently, your heart is
- 43:45different. Everything about your life, like the number of people three months
- 43:49into working with me that are like, I don't understand. I'm actually present.
- 43:53I'm here, I'm in the world because the breath is in the body.
- 43:57And that's the way we're designed with every single breath. So those
- 44:00people who do know how to breathe with their diaphragm, who maybe do breath
- 44:04work or take yoga classes or have worked with somebody who's taught them that
- 44:08still, when I work with them and I say, take a deep breath, they'll breathe
- 44:12down. But if I ask them if they breathe that way all the time,
- 44:16they'll say no. When I concentrate on it,
- 44:19yes. So you. You know how to move the diaphragm, but it's
- 44:23not the way you're breathing every day. And so for that, you're surviving, you're not
- 44:27thriving. And once we get that breath locked
- 44:31in, because when I. When we talk about voice work, the
- 44:34voice is the voice is the voice. So whether you're speaking,
- 44:38singing, chanting, screaming, whispering, any way you use
- 44:41your voice, the muscles are Always all the same.
- 44:47So anybody who looks at me and says, like, I can speak, but I can't
- 44:50sing, like, no, that is not true. The difference
- 44:54between speaking and singing is just sustain. When I
- 44:57speak, I use all the same muscles which keeps my
- 45:01voice in my body. The same resonators are being activated, which means
- 45:05that when I speak, I'll be moving through my emotional centers and
- 45:09through my, like, embodied sense self. You'll. You're going to meet me
- 45:13and my real vibrational frequency. And then when I
- 45:16sing, I just have to sustain that note
- 45:20a little more. That's all. The
- 45:24only difference is that I'm going to use that muscle a little bit more so
- 45:27that I hold a tone longer than I have to when I'm speaking.
- 45:33But we immediately in our brain say, I'm not a singer.
- 45:37Yeah, no, that's. I say that all the time. Everyone,
- 45:42mark my words, everyone can sing. If you have pitch problems,
- 45:46it's probably because you're not in your circadian rhythm. You're not
- 45:49really listening from your body to what sound is coming to you.
- 45:53You're listening through your ears and you already have a thought process that
- 45:57says, I don't hear pitch. Well, so you don't actually hear the pitch.
- 46:01You hear a pitch coming through thought layers that you can't even track.
- 46:05Right. Actually get in the body and feel
- 46:09a sound. We can replicate that sound and every human
- 46:12can get to that place. They just might have to work a little harder than
- 46:15others. Wow.
- 46:19So you. Did you just say that there's a connection between pitch and
- 46:22circadian rhythm? Potentially, yeah. What
- 46:26is. Say more because we're
- 46:30not. We're not in our body and we're not connected to
- 46:34the. The resonance of the Earth, the Schumann resonance, you
- 46:37know, the resonance of the planet. Her own heartbeat that matches our own
- 46:41heartbeat. So when we are living in a lot of
- 46:44artificiality and when we are not sleeping well and when we are, you know,
- 46:48running on all these different coping mechanisms that we have in our body,
- 46:52they're all just layers of distortion in our field.
- 46:56So when a tone comes at you, you can't
- 47:00be with that sound. There's too much
- 47:03distortion. So our job is to get the
- 47:06distortion cleared. We have to get to the
- 47:10present. We have to be in a nervous system that's grounded
- 47:14and we have to be open to receive that sound. We do not just hear
- 47:17sound through our ears, we hear it through every bit of our body.
- 47:21Our whole body is a receiver. So when we only hear with
- 47:25our ears or when we only. When we think with our heads, right? And we
- 47:29hear a sound through our head and we're not in the
- 47:32resonance of everything. It's much easier to not be able to hear
- 47:36pitch correctly or to not be able to iterate pitch
- 47:40correctly. You can hear it, but you can't, you
- 47:44can't hold it because you're not actually in the body. And those pitches
- 47:47are made from the whole form, not just from a vocal
- 47:51cord in the head. It's. That's made from the whole body.
- 47:55Right? Would
- 47:59that translate out from pitch as well to
- 48:03say, a person's ability to receive
- 48:07affection or support? Of course.
- 48:11It's all the same thing. Everything is sound. If
- 48:15you haven't heard that one yet out there, if you don't realize this,
- 48:19everything is making sound. Just because our
- 48:23senses are not able to pick up certain frequencies
- 48:27and really we pick up a tiny amount of what's really going on in
- 48:31this planet. Just because we are not
- 48:34sensorily plugged in to pick it up at a certain hertz
- 48:38or a certain frequency doesn't mean it's not vibrating and it's not
- 48:41making sound. It's just not making sound within our auditory ability to hear
- 48:45it because. But our body still feels it. And that information
- 48:49that's happening here that we're not consciously aware
- 48:53of, is still informing everything. So when you're
- 48:57in someone's auric field, their heartbeat, the
- 49:01way their pulse is moving and their breath and everything, all of that
- 49:05is your body's being informed by when they're close to you. And your
- 49:08ability to receive that and to be open and even share that.
- 49:12This is all heart chakra stuff, like your ability to, to give
- 49:16and to receive must be imbalance. But when the
- 49:19head is protecting or when we're closed off in these ways, we, we can't
- 49:23receive it. So we're basically.
- 49:27I, I'd say the human race is basically in a,
- 49:31in a challenge or what Our true test is how, how open can we stay?
- 49:35How much space can we contain? How much room can we make for all
- 49:38opinions, for all ways of being? How, how
- 49:42much can, can we feel
- 49:46when we see a world where so much is painful? We're in a
- 49:50world right now where we lose track of just how pleasurable it
- 49:54actually is as well. And we focus on how painful it is. And
- 49:58we keep reiterating like the pain
- 50:01we see with the way that we're treating each other in the world,
- 50:05we're actually getting numb feeling because
- 50:09it's too much to feel. But the greatest
- 50:13of art is made by those who can feel it
- 50:16all. And so our great
- 50:20test, I think, is to not close this, not close
- 50:24down is to keep sharing who we are and
- 50:27to allow others to be received and share who they are. And
- 50:31when we can open up that conversation, we realize
- 50:35that we don't have to hold all the pain of the world. It's not our
- 50:38job. The pain of the world moves through us. It moves out of us.
- 50:41It comes in, it goes out. And so does all the joy and all the
- 50:45pleasure and all the beauty. It's not only pain here, it's
- 50:48everything. But we don't want to feel the
- 50:52bad stuff, what we call the bad stuff. And we shut that
- 50:56down, and we could take that to the voice. The reason why people do not
- 51:00mostly share is because
- 51:04maybe they weren't great the first time they sang. They didn't
- 51:08compare to who their favorite artists were, so they think they're bad. They
- 51:12don't want to feel bad, so they don't try
- 51:16or they experience
- 51:19somebody outside making them feel bad about what they
- 51:23just shared. Whether that's a singing voice or whether that's my truth, like,
- 51:26this is how I feel. And someone said, nope, how you feel is not allowed.
- 51:30How you feel is wrong. Once we feel the pain
- 51:35of not being received, we start to shut it down and say,
- 51:38I don't want to feel that pain anymore, so I'll stop sharing.
- 51:43Instead of. They just are limited to what they can
- 51:46receive. But what's happening through me is the absolute truth.
- 51:51So let me be the truth, regardless of what
- 51:55other people's responses are to it. And then once I have
- 51:59it expressed into the world, it empowers me to keep on
- 52:02growing. And I think that. I think that
- 52:06a lot of us are stuck. We're just stuck.
- 52:10And expression is the key out. The voice is the key out. Once
- 52:13we. And we knew it from infants, from babies. Once we express it,
- 52:17it's not in us anymore, and we can move forward,
- 52:21but we are holding too much of it in. So we stop. We just
- 52:24numb. We just stop feeling. And the thing with
- 52:28life is that the less you allow yourself to feel, the less you will
- 52:32allow in. You can't change. You can't
- 52:35manifest your life. You can't. Yeah.
- 52:39You can't connect to everything that is. When you won't allow
- 52:43everything that is to be. When you have it on your
- 52:46tiny little terms, you'll get life on your tiny little
- 52:50terms. Why? Because we are the creator
- 52:54of this reality. Every one of us gets to live this life here.
- 52:57Like I Think that the human birth is the golden ticket. I tell
- 53:01everyone all the time, we think that this earth is so difficult
- 53:05and so painful. And we see, we keep telling that story and we keep creating
- 53:09that truth. But we really got the golden ticket. The
- 53:12guts, the instincts, the emotions and the cognitive,
- 53:16intellectual. And we have the ability to make the
- 53:20world like to create whatever we could dream
- 53:23into existence. So what are we
- 53:27dreaming? And why do we keep creating the
- 53:31dream of war and dissonance and turmoil and
- 53:35lack and all those things like that? It does not
- 53:39only exist here, it exists here if that's what you dream. But
- 53:43so does the total opposite exist here.
- 53:46So we have to decide who we are and
- 53:50who we want to be here and what we're willing to put out. But
- 53:54the world does not just give it to you. It doesn't.
- 53:58Well, and it feels like, like such a risk.
- 54:02I work with a lot of people and I've been working with myself,
- 54:06obviously, right. And it's like we'll build the dream and build the vision
- 54:09and gain the knowledge and a lot of us get stuck
- 54:13just like study more and study more. I don't know enough yet,
- 54:17I don't know enough yet to go out into the world. And
- 54:21it's the moment where it's time to take a step
- 54:25and be seen and be expressed.
- 54:29I'm a new health coach and I'd love to work with people who need
- 54:33help with their digestion and
- 54:38a freeze point for so many of us. And then
- 54:41we may or may not work for it, but then there's always more and more.
- 54:44So I'm hearing you saying, like we. You're helping
- 54:48us to create a sense of safety
- 54:51within our own selves with our. The tools
- 54:55that we were born with so that
- 55:00that risk doesn't feel impossible. All
- 55:05yes, you will. You will resonate. The world will bring you what you
- 55:09are. So if you're full of fear,
- 55:12you'll meet people who will see your fear and they will not come to you
- 55:16because they'll be afraid to come to you. Right.
- 55:20What the voice work will do was, is it will reset your nervous system and
- 55:23it will build your confidence, which I say is
- 55:27primordial. The confidence comes with the body itself.
- 55:31There is nobody out there that can break your confidence. There is
- 55:34nobody out there that gives you your confidence. Either
- 55:38people can support you and put wind under those wings. And if
- 55:42you're fortunate, people will see your gifts right off
- 55:46the bat and will start to, to help you. But that's not
- 55:50the case of everybody. Some people Write such underdog stories where
- 55:53no nobody around them supports them. And they have to
- 55:57prove to themselves as a soul to this world,
- 56:01that even if nobody sees it, I am it,
- 56:06right? And there's the confidence. It comes with the birth.
- 56:10The fact. The mere fact that you were given a body, that you were given
- 56:13your heart, that you were given the dream and the visions that you have. The
- 56:17mere fact that that even exists is enough for every one of us to have
- 56:21confidence in who we are. But our society did not
- 56:24give us that confidence. Our society is an ego
- 56:28driven society that taught us again, like I said from the beginning, to
- 56:31compare and to compete and to be jealous and envious,
- 56:35to want what others have. And we, we look outside of ourselves
- 56:39for some level of validation that is unnecessary.
- 56:43We already are it. When we do
- 56:47this voice work, we reclaim all of that it ness. And
- 56:51then we get share it. And you know, there are people who would look at
- 56:54me and say, maren, you're crazy. I'll never do that work with you. And there
- 56:58are people who say, okay, I feel this off you and I want what you're
- 57:01talking about. Let's go, right? What I know is that this
- 57:05works. So I will show up and give it to
- 57:09anybody who's ready because it works. So to these
- 57:12healthcare for these people, you're talking about if you know
- 57:17that certain supplements, that certain breath practices, that certain
- 57:20psychological whatever it might be that you need to help your digestive system,
- 57:24if you know that it could benefit another person,
- 57:29even if you only know the first two pages of the book, but you know
- 57:32that if you give them the first two pages, they will begin to
- 57:36have healthier bowel movements and a clearer state of mind, which of course
- 57:39they're interlinked, right? Why would you not put that out
- 57:43there? You're helping
- 57:47somebody else. And this is the biggest thing.
- 57:50Our voice is our contribution to the world.
- 57:54It's not about us. I ask people all the time,
- 57:58whose voice do you think it is?
- 58:02It is a mixture. It is nothing more and nothing less than the
- 58:06planet which is the body that you're in and the soul that
- 58:09came to incarnate. My soul's not named
- 58:13Marin. Marin is the personality construct that I
- 58:17developed to navigate the world, right? And the name that my parents
- 58:20gave me. My soul came in with a
- 58:24purpose. It came in with a contribution that then
- 58:27activates the body. And these two things will make
- 58:31something happen here in life, right? Whatever that might be. So
- 58:35when we deal with voice work, or when we're looking at our voice it's our
- 58:38soul's dynamic life urge for truthful
- 58:41expression. What is your truth?
- 58:45Your soul's truth? We have to get beyond the person
- 58:49that was created by an ego driven world that we
- 58:53were taught to protect. This ego, God forbid
- 58:57anybody tells me I'm wrong. I've been told I'm wrong so many times
- 59:00now that I'm like, okay, okay, I'll be wrong, I'll die wrong.
- 59:04But at the same time, people who've shown up for this and do this work
- 59:08with me, they see what it does and I'm not the one doing this for
- 59:11them. They do it for themselves. They show up, I show them
- 59:15how to do it. They have to do it. I cannot heal you.
- 59:19You have to heal you. But your voice, your own voice and this work will
- 59:23do it. So when you're dealing with someone who like what
- 59:26you're saying, people who say, I'm new out the gate, I don't know enough, I
- 59:30have more to do. All I would say is, what can you do to
- 59:33help somebody today and
- 59:37find people who need that help? And whether or not you're
- 59:40perfect, it doesn't matter. I'm not a perfect person. Nobody's a perfect person. Like, we're
- 59:44all still on this incredible evolutionary track that hopefully we're all
- 59:48going to be evolving until we're not here anymore. So there's always room
- 59:52for growth and all of that. But if
- 59:55you're scared to share, that's all people are gonna
- 59:59feel like. When I'm talking about singing,
- 1:00:03when I see people start to sing and they're nervous, they're scared to sing,
- 1:00:08the first thing happens is that they don't breathe.
- 1:00:11They're in their head, their heart is pounding, their tongue is numb, it's moving.
- 1:00:15And they just like get the song, the first lyric in and they just like
- 1:00:18jump out of the gate. And you can feel that they're nervous, right? So
- 1:00:22the whole audience knows they're scared. And what, and what happens?
- 1:00:26The audience is scared. We're
- 1:00:30nervous for the person we're not in the song. We're
- 1:00:33in the nerves that we're looking at and it's making us nervous, right?
- 1:00:38So our number one responsibility is to
- 1:00:42be what we are, become the song. I always tell anybody who's
- 1:00:45listening who sings that three count breath at the beginning of a song is
- 1:00:49everything. If you're scared to sing, wait until you're not
- 1:00:52before you start to sing. If an audience has to wait
- 1:00:56a while to watch you, until you're ready to breathe
- 1:01:02and actually Sing the song without it being about you singing.
- 1:01:06Instead, you actually become the song. It's worth the
- 1:01:09wait. We'll wait five minutes, we'll sit there and be like, I wonder why we're
- 1:01:13waiting. But when you actually come out the gate
- 1:01:16from the embodied place of singing the song, that's why
- 1:01:20we sing. We sing to move
- 1:01:24emotion. We sing to tell a story. We sing
- 1:01:27to share something authentically. But when there's too much
- 1:01:31I in the way of all of that, that's what you get.
- 1:01:35You get. I. You get even. Some of the greatest artists
- 1:01:39that we know, they're just doing vocal gymnastics. They're not really making you feel
- 1:01:42anything. They're just showing you how great they are. Right.
- 1:01:46But what about, like, becoming the song?
- 1:01:49That's what we're true. Art is born. That's where. That's why
- 1:01:53we share. We don't. We're not the singer. We're the
- 1:01:57song. So back to life. Let's take
- 1:02:01it out of that music. You're not the person
- 1:02:04who's teaching someone how to get a healthy body, how to get a healthy
- 1:02:08gastrointestinal system. Right. You are the. The
- 1:02:11message itself. You are the teaching itself of, like, here,
- 1:02:15you need help. This is how you get your help. I'm here to share
- 1:02:19with you the information. I'm not here to share with you, me.
- 1:02:24And the faster we can get. Get to that, I think
- 1:02:29just the more clients you're going to get.
- 1:02:33Whether or not she becomes successful, this is about, how can
- 1:02:37she actually serve the world, or he served the world.
- 1:02:42And the more we can align ourselves with that, the easier it is to share
- 1:02:45what's going on. Yes. Because
- 1:02:48all of these. All of these choices that we make are really just
- 1:02:53spiritual growth exercises.
- 1:03:00It feels like, oh, I. I have to, you know, learn how
- 1:03:04to record something and put it on the Internet. It's a spiritual growth
- 1:03:08exercise, and you are giving us
- 1:03:11a profoundly overlooked tool. Yes.
- 1:03:17So do you want to feel very quickly? I'm not sure how much. Yeah. Want
- 1:03:20to feel really quickly what it's like differently.
- 1:03:24Yeah. As I was saying just before about the singer, like, the throat gets
- 1:03:28tight and the tongue goes numb and the heartbeat starts to race. And when that
- 1:03:31happens, the first thing that happens is the breath moves up
- 1:03:35to that breath we were talking about before. So you
- 1:03:39up here. Yeah. You're losing lyrics. You start like, your
- 1:03:43head's just got you right. So the key. And I, like, feel my
- 1:03:47throat tighten. Right. Especially if I have to. If
- 1:03:50I'm, like, giving a presentation it's like the first 10 minutes it's like flood. And
- 1:03:54then the longer I talk it's like. And I can like, oh, there it goes.
- 1:03:58I don't know why, but I'm probably, I'm not breathing. Okay.
- 1:04:01The breath and then also the head. When the head takes the voice,
- 1:04:06the throat closes up towards the head.
- 1:04:10When the heart takes the voice, the throat opens down towards
- 1:04:13the heart. So we always want
- 1:04:17the voice to move through the heart which
- 1:04:21is the largest resonator. Our sound mostly comes from
- 1:04:24down in here and moves through here up to the
- 1:04:28head so we get to those higher notes of our range. So we want the
- 1:04:32impetus of our voice or the way it moves to be a downward breath and
- 1:04:36a downward support to let sound come through the chest. So let's just take our
- 1:04:40hands on the waist and take a breath
- 1:04:44into the waist. So feel your breath
- 1:04:47come down and the waist go wide and the strength there. Can you
- 1:04:51feel that strength? Yeah. Okay, let's exhale that.
- 1:04:56Let's do it again. And I want you to feel what's happening as you do
- 1:04:59that with your whole throat area and your whole upper chest. So breathe into the
- 1:05:03waist and
- 1:05:06see if you could feel the expansion. So the chest
- 1:05:10feels like it expands, but the sides of the throat also get wider.
- 1:05:14Can you feel that? Yeah. Okay, so let's do that
- 1:05:18one more time. Breathe in and fill that up.
- 1:05:23Feel that with. And now suck your stomach in
- 1:05:27and feel what happens instead.
- 1:05:31It all closes down, right? Yeah. Everything
- 1:05:35collapses. So the exact
- 1:05:38replica of what happens here at the bottom of the body is what's
- 1:05:42happening at the top. If our breath goes up and we suck our
- 1:05:45stomach in, we're closing. Throat chakra head is going to control everything
- 1:05:50because none of our low body is activated. But if we get the breath to
- 1:05:53the lower body and we open that up, we now
- 1:05:57have support muscles down here. You could feel that like strength at the
- 1:06:00bottom that is going to send sound up through.
- 1:06:04So the throat is open, the chest is open and the body's nice and strong.
- 1:06:08And this is how we should feel when we speak all the time. This
- 1:06:12is. You'll feel confident, you'll feel empowered, you'll feel in your body
- 1:06:15and present level headed open hearted when we get our
- 1:06:19voice down in here. So let's just do an ah, a nice
- 1:06:23open eye to see what that feels like. If we breathe down to the waist
- 1:06:26once that waist is strong, what I want you to do now is I want
- 1:06:30you to press the waist into the hands. So not only is
- 1:06:34the wide. The waist. When you first breathe, it gets nice and strong. Now I
- 1:06:37want you to take those obliques, and I want you to expand them even
- 1:06:40further. Okay. Strong side body.
- 1:06:44And then we're just going to drop the open jaw to an ah. Okay,
- 1:06:48so let's feel that. Breathe into the waist. Press
- 1:06:52the waist into the hands. Drop the jaw.
- 1:07:04Oh, yeah. Now that, you know
- 1:07:08one more time. Your jaw. The smile gets in the way. So we want the
- 1:07:12jaw. I'm having fun. And keep laughing.
- 1:07:16Okay. And just let sound move,
- 1:07:20because what you're going to feel is the whole channel of sound that moves through
- 1:07:23you. It's a very powerful exercise. Yeah, I felt like a pillar. Almost
- 1:07:27like a. Like a. Like an empty
- 1:07:30pillar. Yes, exactly. Is your connection
- 1:07:34to universal life force energy. Ah is the sound that
- 1:07:38connects us to the entire universe, which is where Aum comes from.
- 1:07:42And Amen and Allah and Amun and all
- 1:07:46those words that we have. Ah is the sound that opens up this
- 1:07:49channel to connect us to all the power that we have.
- 1:07:53Right. So let's feel that together. If we feel the waist go wide,
- 1:07:57we're going to open the entire channel for a big open ah. See how much
- 1:08:01ah you can make and feel. If you could feel it moving through
- 1:08:04your heart as well. So you not only have the waist here, but you
- 1:08:08could feel sound coming through the chest. See if you could feel that. Let's breathe
- 1:08:11in. Press the waist wide. Drop the jaw.
- 1:08:26Oh, wow. You feel that?
- 1:08:30Yeah. So there's your. It took me a few
- 1:08:33tries, but that last one, I think I integrated. Your instructions,
- 1:08:37and I really felt it. You feel the waist strong.
- 1:08:41You feel the heart, and now the throat
- 1:08:45is open, and you have all of this sound. This sound
- 1:08:48is the bedrock of the voice in all the
- 1:08:52ways we use it. So when I speak, I feel that
- 1:08:56pillar, my words. I choose my words
- 1:08:59from my mind of what I want to share, but it
- 1:09:03moves sound through my emotional center as well. Right. So my voice is
- 1:09:06now encompassing every part of my being. And when I
- 1:09:10speak, my words are wrapping around that
- 1:09:14open pillar of sound. Nothing is collapsed in here
- 1:09:17and just kind of small and tight and sort of kind of doing
- 1:09:21its thing. Right? Everything is supported, supported in this open channel.
- 1:09:25And now I speak, and you can hear how much sound resonance
- 1:09:29is there. I'm conducting more energy,
- 1:09:33and this way my voice is way more impactful. As I send it out
- 1:09:37into the world, those particles are going to be moving way
- 1:09:41faster than they are. If I just kind of ask for what I want
- 1:09:45in this kind of. Can I have that? Is this. Is it okay for me
- 1:09:48to be who I am? I really love if we would do
- 1:09:51right. Instead, it's here I am world moving
- 1:09:55sound, resonance out into the quantum field moving
- 1:09:59earth, fire, water, air, space, ether
- 1:10:03out into the world. Watch how fast you start to manifest
- 1:10:07things. Watch how fast your clients sign up with you. Watch how fast
- 1:10:11the love of your life enters your world. Watch how fast that
- 1:10:14money that you need to get into the bank gets into the bank. Just all
- 1:10:17of it, whatever it might be. Watch how fast that brilliant idea that you
- 1:10:21think that you can't come up with because you open the channel
- 1:10:25of universal consciousness and it all starts to
- 1:10:29move through you.
- 1:10:34Incredible. Yeah. And I can. I mean, just
- 1:10:38doing those few rounds with you, I'm in a completely different
- 1:10:42place. I can feel like there's tingles. All
- 1:10:46the tingles are happening.
- 1:10:51Vera, this is such amazing work. I love it
- 1:10:55so much. As I said at the beginning, when I found you and your
- 1:10:59website, I was like, oh my goodness, I've
- 1:11:03been looking and searching. So please let us know
- 1:11:06how, how we can find you. I know there will be people who would
- 1:11:10love to, after hearing this, love to come to a retreat or work with you
- 1:11:14in some way. How does that happen? Beautiful. So my Instagram
- 1:11:17is Vocal Underscore Transformation. My website
- 1:11:21is vocal transformation.com and
- 1:11:25I do, I have retreats all, all over the world throughout
- 1:11:29the year. I'm in upstate New York. I hold some in New
- 1:11:32York, but mostly traveling. I do have,
- 1:11:36I have online courses. I have one on one coaching
- 1:11:40for the truly dedicated student who feels like they
- 1:11:44need the one on one teacher. And I also do a nine
- 1:11:47month cohort every year where I take people through the entire
- 1:11:51chanting practice in a group and we go through this whole
- 1:11:55rebirth together. So there's so many ways to plug into
- 1:11:58amazing. When is, when is your next
- 1:12:02cohort happening? They start in September, so
- 1:12:06I just. Okay, I just started this one. So next year.
- 1:12:09So next September for the live cohort,
- 1:12:12vocaltransformation.com to find a retreat coming
- 1:12:16up near you, recorded work
- 1:12:20and one on one options. Yes.
- 1:12:24Amazing. And you mentioned you are in an upcoming documentary. What was
- 1:12:28that called? It's called she Healed. It's a
- 1:12:31biohacking documentary that they just made them. They just
- 1:12:35released one called Biohack Yourself Lally. And they're
- 1:12:38putting this one out this year about women's health and
- 1:12:42how biohacking isn't really a female led industry,
- 1:12:46but this is around women's health and it's lots
- 1:12:50of different biohacking tools. It felt really good to bring something that is this.
- 1:12:54Yes. Deep. Yeah. Because we're way beyond
- 1:12:58biohacking with all of this.
- 1:13:02To reduce the quantum world to biohacking is. Yeah.
- 1:13:05It's a little reductive, but helpful. Helpful in many ways.
- 1:13:10It will all the way so good.
- 1:13:13But yes. I mean, this is. This is deeply profound work.
- 1:13:18And I think we all,
- 1:13:22you know, there are certain sort of fundamentals, I think to health.
- 1:13:26And I would. I would now include doing void,
- 1:13:30you know, connecting to our voice and our sound signature
- 1:13:33as a fundamental healing tool. So
- 1:13:37thank you for following your dreams, for opening this space.
- 1:13:42It's so funny. You're the third woman I've interviewed in a week who has a
- 1:13:45story of walking away from traditional media
- 1:13:50just because she was like, no. And the
- 1:13:54opportunity was right there. And they.
- 1:13:58And you all kept walking to find your true. Your true path.
- 1:14:02So thank you for doing that. Thank you. It's world changing.
- 1:14:06Thank whatever horses that be that would just like no Marin in this
- 1:14:10lifetime. You're not going to sell your soul to industry. Yep.
- 1:14:16Good. We'll keep going. And I just want to say one last thing if I
- 1:14:20can. Sure. Yeah. Please. My whole entire life is
- 1:14:23for. Is to see the awakening of what it is we are.
- 1:14:27And our conversation today was so much about how who we think we
- 1:14:31are gets in the way of all of what we are.
- 1:14:35And when we do this voice work, we become the tuning fork
- 1:14:38for the entirety of this realm. Not just for humans,
- 1:14:42for the animals, for the trees, for the plants, for the waters. Like what we
- 1:14:45are capable of moving energetically through our
- 1:14:49system can be of such great benefit to this planet.
- 1:14:53So I chose not to go to industry standards of how like man
- 1:14:56decides the business of life needs to look. And I
- 1:15:00chose to instead work for the powers that be, which is
- 1:15:04truly this incredible planet that we're.
- 1:15:07We're lucky enough to be born into and like to be a part of in
- 1:15:11these bodies. And so I feel like right now the human race
- 1:15:15has. Has a decision we need to make about what our
- 1:15:18places here and what we're going to do on this earth as
- 1:15:22humans. Like, where is humanity? It seems to be something that
- 1:15:26we're losing sight of. And so this voice work is
- 1:15:29such an important and very powerful key if
- 1:15:33to help humanity reclaim that heart center, to
- 1:15:37reclaim what we are. And when we reclaim this,
- 1:15:41we will see this entire world change. We will bring it
- 1:15:45back to the goodness of what it is. So I just. If
- 1:15:49you at all feel a call to finding your voice in service to
- 1:15:53that, please come find me. Yes.
- 1:15:58Yes. Beautifully put. Thank you for
- 1:16:01expressing that. And, yeah, I have nothing to add,
- 1:16:05that is. We're on the same page.
- 1:16:09It's funny. I'm just remembering I occasionally
- 1:16:13do, like, solo casts, and I did one where I was
- 1:16:16called your voice matters. And
- 1:16:20it meant more than I even realized when I said it at the time.
- 1:16:25Our voices matter. We are. We
- 1:16:28are. We got the golden ticket. Let's. Let's go for
- 1:16:32it.
- 1:16:37Thank you, Maren. I would love to do this again sometime.
- 1:16:41Thank you so much for having me.
