October 13th
Singer-songwriters, hard rock, R&B and British rock come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 13.
We celebrate Paul Simon, Sammy Hagar and Ashanti, revisit the Beatles television appearance that helped turn Beatlemania into a nationwide phenomenon, and go back to the studio session that produced The Who’s My Generation.
One date, several generations, and music stretching from classic American songwriting and R&B to Van Halen, The Beatles and one of rock’s defining anthems of teenage rebellion.
