Africa CDC to use Zaire Ebola vaccine in current outbreak
The Africa CDC is expanding the use of the Ebola vaccine developed for the Zaire strain, as the Bundibugyo virus has killed more than 1,800 people. This is after early evidence suggests it may reduce severe illness, with clinical success showing no deaths among previously vaccinated individuals.
