Latest / Relatables / ITS OK NOT TO HAVE SEX
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables. You're not always gonna like you'll
- 0:04Speaker 1: always be attracted to your partner, but like if there's
- 0:08Speaker 1: a time where, for some reason, in this certain instance,
- 0:10Speaker 1: like you're not turned on around them like that, it
- 0:13Speaker 1: just means like that, it's not that doesn't mean that
- 0:16Speaker 1: you're not attracted to them, you know what I mean.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I wish someone said it to me when I was younger,
- 0:20Speaker 1: maybe because like.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It's okay not to have sex.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, yeah, like it's okay to not fucking be horny
- 0:27Speaker 1: around them all the time. Like sex isn't everything.
- 0:41Speaker 3: The Relatables podcast is hosted by Jake Craig aka scrub
- 0:46Speaker 3: Daddy and myself Audie Clark a k.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Scrub Mummy, scrub Mummy bro.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I have a scrub Mummy in my It sounds like
- 0:59Speaker 1: a brand deal advert or some sort, but it's not.
- 1:03Speaker 3: That is so funny, you know. We like to talk
- 1:05Speaker 3: about equality. Yeah, and normally there's an ongoing joke that
- 1:10Speaker 3: guys like to make that girls are meant to be
- 1:12Speaker 3: in the kitchen.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yep, no stupid joke.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You can come clean with me right now, scrub Daddy.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I fucking that is so fucking funny. And I can't
- 1:23Speaker 3: take the claim for this. My girlfriend's mum saw him important.
- 1:27Speaker 1: For us, really.
- 1:28Speaker 3: She was like and she listened and she was like, yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 3: and she saw them and she thought of us.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Honestly, are so good.
- 1:34Speaker 2: This is by the way, get him out of it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but I use a fucking like downstairs, I have
- 1:42Speaker 1: a scrub mummy, and the scrub Mummy is.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Way better than the scrub Daddy. That's right, and I'm
- 1:50Speaker 2: better at you.
- 1:51Speaker 1: It's it's I don't know if it's how they've advertised
- 1:54Speaker 1: it or anything, but it's like twice as good for
- 1:58Speaker 1: the same price, really, and it's kind of like a
- 2:00Speaker 1: funny thing if you think about it, like, because the
- 2:02Speaker 1: scrub Mummy has like the hard side and the soft side.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I didn't want to get details of it, and the
- 2:07Speaker 1: scrub Daddy is just the hard side. Yeah. Yeah, but
- 2:10Speaker 1: if you think about it, like, you know, femalely, I
- 2:15Speaker 1: guess it is twice as good.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Oh that's where we're going to that.
- 2:17Speaker 3: You never know, maybe that was the marketing behind scrub
- 2:20Speaker 3: mummies better than scrub daty.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I mean, facts, bro, it's the same price.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, scrub Daddy can fucking honestly, such a good business bloy,
- 2:27Speaker 3: but so such a good idea.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You know. They were on Shark Tank.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, and they actually came out of it
- 2:34Speaker 3: and now it's all global.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I can't believe it. And scrub the scrub Daddy page
- 2:39Speaker 1: on TikTok. Yeah have you seen it? No, bro, it's
- 2:43Speaker 1: fucking huge, millions of followers, shit, millions of Maybe it
- 2:48Speaker 1: was good to bring them up.
- 2:49Speaker 2: We'll get some clout. You never know, you never do know.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Have you also seen While we're on the topic of
- 2:56Speaker 1: fucking brand TikTok pages, we've spoken about the Ryan air
- 3:00Speaker 1: one before, wild scrub Daddy, scrub Bummy. They got a
- 3:05Speaker 1: big TikTok page. There's a whole all these American brands
- 3:08Speaker 1: have cottoned on to the fact that you need to
- 3:11Speaker 1: hire someone in from gen z to to market your
- 3:15Speaker 1: social media.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm glad America gets it. To be fair, there's one
- 3:19Speaker 3: big one in Australia. I think she's got a clothing
- 3:21Speaker 3: brand or something. She's really good and she has a podcast.
- 3:23Speaker 3: He's really good at marketing.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I'm know. I'm talking about big yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 2: well established brands.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Ryan air Airline.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously, what's the next one.
- 3:33Speaker 1: There's one that has taken it too far. Oh yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and it's cold nutter butter. Oh brodder Brand, I'm pretty sure. Yeah,
- 3:42Speaker 1: maybe it's like more peanut butter. I don't know cookies
- 3:44Speaker 1: as well. I have no idea, but they have taken
- 3:46Speaker 1: it way too far.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Really, yeah, like I mean, do you want I can?
- 3:53Speaker 2: I think I can imagine.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I would say, like they've taken it so far in
- 3:57Speaker 1: the sense of, like, so they've gone brain rot.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah, right, that's what gen Z love. So it's gone viral.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I also love my pant butter. Yeah, to be.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Fair, but like he's gen Z the ones buying groceries. Yeah, oh,
- 4:09Speaker 1: we do wear gen Z. But also it's like, really
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's what shouldn't be their target market. But they've taken
- 4:13Speaker 1: it too far in the sense of like it's like
- 4:17Speaker 1: the only thing it's like jump scary really type of
- 4:20Speaker 1: thing that's weird? Isn't that so weird? Like like they're
- 4:24Speaker 1: just standing there like have you watched Solad Fingers?
- 4:28Speaker 2: No, I don't know what solid fingers the.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Guy Solad fingers. It's like, oh, like rusty spoos, you've
- 4:32Speaker 1: never seen that? What not cultured You've never seen that
- 4:37Speaker 1: a brain. You've never seen that video. So it's like
- 4:40Speaker 1: talking about that in school. He's like, it's like so freaky.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He's like, my mom is salad finger and he's like
- 4:46Speaker 1: this like a weird cartoon dude, and he's got solad fingers.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And then he goes like random places and he's like, oh,
- 4:51Speaker 1: like rushy spoos. You've never seen that.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I haven't. That's such bullshit. I haven't seen that one.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Have you seen Two Girls, One Cup?
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, you redeemed yourself. I remember watching it
- 5:03Speaker 2: turning it off, but I remember I've never watched two.
- 5:06Speaker 3: But this is not how I wanted to start an episode.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Bring I love Rusty spoons and two girls, one club.
- 5:13Speaker 2: One Cup.
- 5:15Speaker 3: We wanted to start the episode with the Golden rules
- 5:18Speaker 3: of dating.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Jake before this episode said I'm not going to yap
- 5:22Speaker 2: this one. All right, I say, let the man yap.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll let you yap when you're not talking about
- 5:30Speaker 3: rusty spoons and two girls in one cup.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Guys comment, if you want to hear about rusty spoons,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you never know they might want to hear.
- 5:44Speaker 3: So this is the Golden rules of dating. We've been
- 5:47Speaker 3: big advocates for writing down the list of the non
- 5:50Speaker 3: negotiables in a relationship before doing it. And this is
- 5:53Speaker 3: sort of like along the same lines of these are
- 5:55Speaker 3: the things that you should think about when dating. These
- 5:59Speaker 3: are I haven't gone on I've gone personal. I didn't
- 6:02Speaker 3: I went like broad spectrum.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Oh okay, I mean that might be interesting then, because
- 6:07Speaker 1: so these are like the golden things that I do.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I do these as well, like broad spectrum. People should
- 6:14Speaker 2: use these as.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Well, right okay, okay? Because so yeah, because I've thought
- 6:17Speaker 1: of personal ones that I don't think are like a
- 6:18Speaker 1: really make or break of like a relationship thing, but
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's like a nice it's nice.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You startus thing because they're y different. Yeah, okay, so
- 6:25Speaker 3: these are these are.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Like the golden rules in your relationship.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, like golden rules, golden actions, golden behaviors. I don't
- 6:31Speaker 1: know something like that now, Like the first the first
- 6:36Speaker 1: two are very cliche, but for some reason, I've just
- 6:38Speaker 1: landed on them and I've stuck to them. And I
- 6:42Speaker 1: would say, after like thinking about it and writing these down,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I think one of my love language, like one of
- 6:49Speaker 1: my main love languages is either acts of service or
- 6:53Speaker 1: gift giving. Like maybe too combined, if.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You know what I mean, Like, I love quality time,
- 6:58Speaker 3: but I do think that if this says bioflowers, I'm
- 7:01Speaker 3: not gonna be happy.
- 7:02Speaker 2: But is that all it says?
- 7:05Speaker 1: No?
- 7:07Speaker 2: But so I do think that maybe I'm thinking active
- 7:10Speaker 2: like this is just things I do. Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not saying someone has to do that.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't have to justify your actions. Man,
- 7:16Speaker 2: that's all good.
- 7:17Speaker 1: What do I always sound like? I do need to
- 7:19Speaker 1: just fine when you say, if this says bioflowers, I'm
- 7:20Speaker 1: not gonna be happy. So as you guys know, one
- 7:24Speaker 1: thing I always do is the car door and I
- 7:28Speaker 1: don't really do like the house door.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I don't really I don't mind. But for some reason
- 7:33Speaker 1: I have this thing where I now I like have
- 7:37Speaker 1: to open the car door for her.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Would you say that's a golden rule though, No, say
- 7:41Speaker 1: this is something I do, Like, I don't think it's
- 7:43Speaker 1: like a golden rule of like relationships.
- 7:46Speaker 2: This is a golden rule of your relationship.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like it's become a thing where it's like
- 7:49Speaker 1: I feel, is that.
- 7:51Speaker 3: A key fundamental that if you didn't do that, your
- 7:53Speaker 3: relationship wouldn't be as good.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think if I stopped doing it, it's not going
- 8:02Speaker 1: to ruin our relationship. But I think that it's like
- 8:05Speaker 1: it's such a small thing that actually plays a big part.
- 8:09Speaker 2: No, I agree that in my relationship a big party.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I reckon go through all your lists, okay, because we
- 8:15Speaker 3: weren't completely different.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah right, okay, it's interesting seeing any brain works. And
- 8:19Speaker 1: so then another mine and this is things. Yeah, so
- 8:21Speaker 1: this is you're not gonna light this one. This is
- 8:24Speaker 1: just this is just another one that that I do. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and I've just noticed that I do it, and it
- 8:31Speaker 1: is that obviously not every time I see it, because
- 8:35Speaker 1: that's fucking over the top, but I really try to
- 8:40Speaker 1: make it like, so, she's not going very long without flowers.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm serious, Yeah, I don't know why.
- 8:49Speaker 2: And I think it's a very nice gesture. I bought
- 8:51Speaker 2: my girlfriend flowers.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Yes there, Yeah, like not that I think if I
- 8:55Speaker 1: stopped doing it, she'd leave me. But I find it
- 9:00Speaker 1: now to be a thing where it's like I don't
- 9:02Speaker 1: even think Beth expects it, Like I don't think.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I don't think very nice gesture that goes a long way.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know what's going on in my
- 9:09Speaker 1: head where I'm like, you know, So on the weekend
- 9:13Speaker 1: I brought her flowers and I was like, oh, I'm sorry,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I haven't actually got you some flowers for a little while.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And she was like, oh, no, it's all right, it's fine.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And then I actually had a dream two nights ago
- 9:24Speaker 1: that she said to me. In my dream, she said, oh,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you haven't brought me flowers for a while, and I
- 9:28Speaker 1: was like, yeah, sorry, sorry, like they you know, money's
- 9:31Speaker 1: a bit tight. I was like making up excuses as
- 9:33Speaker 1: to why I hadn't bought her flowers for a while
- 9:35Speaker 1: or something like that. But even but the day prior,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I fucking gave her flowers and I was like, sorry,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I haven't got you someth for a while, and she
- 9:40Speaker 1: was like no, no, it's fine. She loves it.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Every time I do it, she loves it, like it
- 9:43Speaker 3: doesn't matter what flowers. I think it's good that you
- 9:45Speaker 3: value that so highly.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I just don't even know why, though, Yeah you know
- 9:49Speaker 1: what I mean, Like I just kind of would do
- 9:51Speaker 1: it every now and then just because I wanted to
- 9:53Speaker 1: do it.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I think it's good to normalize men buying girls flowers
- 9:58Speaker 3: more often than making it normal because a lot of
- 10:00Speaker 3: our friends think, oh, I'm doing too much.
- 10:02Speaker 2: You never you never do too much.
- 10:03Speaker 1: True. Yeah, I don't know. I just and I don't
- 10:08Speaker 1: think I'm all that worried that if I stopped it
- 10:12Speaker 1: would be bad. But at the same time, if I
- 10:15Speaker 1: did stop, it would send me be like I'm putting
- 10:17Speaker 1: less effort in.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, or you could be putting effort elsewhere, Like you
- 10:21Speaker 2: could change that to a note like it doesn't have
- 10:22Speaker 2: to be flower yeah, true, it don't always have to
- 10:24Speaker 2: be flowers.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Ye.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, if you just stop doing things all together.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah, for some reason, I have landed on flowers. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and the car door as like my two very cliche things.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Another golden rule that I've that I do is every
- 10:36Speaker 1: night we if we're together or if we aren't together,
- 10:39Speaker 1: we'll FaceTime and do it we do in the New
- 10:42Speaker 1: York Times games, so there's like the word or all
- 10:44Speaker 1: that stuff we do, the mini crossword and the connections.
- 10:48Speaker 1: We always do it together.
- 10:50Speaker 2: It's like a thing we do together.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And I don't know, I cherish it so much, Yeah,
- 10:55Speaker 1: really cherish it. And I would never ever, ever, ever
- 10:59Speaker 1: be able to do either one of them without her,
- 11:01Speaker 1: because I have. We went through a phase where I
- 11:04Speaker 1: was like, Okay, well we'll be on the phone when
- 11:05Speaker 1: we do it, but like let's do it and maybe
- 11:08Speaker 1: try and race each other or like, you know, see
- 11:10Speaker 1: if we can do it without the one another. And
- 11:12Speaker 1: she always beat me, so I was like, now let's
- 11:13Speaker 1: do it together.
- 11:15Speaker 2: She's mad way more.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Number three No, sorry, this is number four, Yeah, FaceTime,
- 11:25Speaker 1: whether to get whether we're together in bed. I cannot
- 11:28Speaker 1: go to sleep without saying I love you.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I can't do it. I know some people would like
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think some people it's not a bad thing to
- 11:36Speaker 1: fall sleep without saying it for yeah, but I just
- 11:39Speaker 1: always like I'll be like maybe I'll be dozing like
- 11:43Speaker 1: I love you.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That one's cute, and then this one is the last one.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I only had five. There's probably more, certainly five I
- 11:53Speaker 1: could think of. And this is like a new one
- 11:58Speaker 1: for me in terms of like compared relationships. Yeah, And
- 12:01Speaker 1: it's really really trying to like not judge how she
- 12:09Speaker 1: feels about something, even if she thinks it's stupid. Now
- 12:13Speaker 1: that makes sense, Yeah, Like really trying to reassure.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Her thoughts in a moment. Yeah, Like sometimes.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Beth and she I'm sure like males and all other females,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and it happens quite often, you know, maybe before she's
- 12:28Speaker 1: getting her period and she'll be maybe a little upset
- 12:32Speaker 1: about something, and then she'll kind of like apologize about
- 12:34Speaker 1: being upset and be like I'm sorry, like and then
- 12:36Speaker 1: she'll be like, I'm actually getting my period in a week,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, but I know there's been a
- 12:40Speaker 1: few times where I've been like, yeah, but like, I
- 12:41Speaker 1: don't know, even if you are getting your period in
- 12:44Speaker 1: a week and maybe your hormones are all over the
- 12:45Speaker 1: place and your more emotion, it's still an emotion. Yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 1: So I think it's pretty valid, Like I think you
- 12:51Speaker 1: should still be able to feel that feeling. So yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't want to fucking be out
- 12:56Speaker 1: here like I'm perfect.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Well, I think that's just like a good support system
- 12:59Speaker 2: for Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Plenty of things I need to work on. Maybe maybe
- 13:02Speaker 1: a cool thing would be what do we think we
- 13:03Speaker 1: need to work on a relationship and when we bring
- 13:05Speaker 1: it up with each other and then maybe on the pod.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I don't know if it's probably smart bringing on the pod,
- 13:08Speaker 1: but off off pot. We could bring it up with
- 13:10Speaker 1: each other what we think we need to work on
- 13:12Speaker 1: in our relationships.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And I wonder if we do it, like that's a
- 13:14Speaker 3: good idea, that's probably not a great idea to.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Do one hundred percent if we should do it on
- 13:18Speaker 1: the pod, Like we could do some little we.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Do all the behind the scenes and then actually implement
- 13:23Speaker 3: and then talk to your girlfriend about it, true, and
- 13:25Speaker 3: then bring it back onto the pod.
- 13:27Speaker 2: It's even work. But I wouldn't.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because I'm sure there's like those are five
- 13:31Speaker 1: things that I do that I think are good, where
- 13:32Speaker 1: there's probably ten things that I do.
- 13:34Speaker 3: That Okay, and you're gonna see where mine and Jake's
- 13:42Speaker 3: brains are completely different.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah I like that.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, I took this question completely different. All right,
- 13:50Speaker 3: So the Golden rules of dating?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Can I ask you something?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yes?
- 13:54Speaker 1: For next week? Could you bring your version of mine?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Like, f do you do all these?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Anyway?
- 14:02Speaker 2: I do all these?
- 14:04Speaker 1: But ask me if you still want more after you Okay, okay, okay,
- 14:07Speaker 1: because what I'm thinking is you're also going to be
- 14:09Speaker 1: like things that everyone just should do.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, So Golden rules are
- 14:15Speaker 3: dating prioritizing yourself and your independence. Yeah, yeah, I think
- 14:26Speaker 3: that's so important, and a lot of people lose sight
- 14:28Speaker 3: of the independence when they're in a relationship because, to
- 14:30Speaker 3: be fair, so good when you spend time with them.
- 14:32Speaker 3: But it's realizing that it's so good to be a
- 14:34Speaker 3: part and also enjoy those things.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah shit, I would say the hardest part with that.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So, like, I don't think that's something I struggle with
- 14:41Speaker 1: at all, because maybe obviously you're not either, because like
- 14:43Speaker 1: neither one of us live with our girlfriends yet. Yeah true,
- 14:46Speaker 1: But like when that happens, I wonder if that's when
- 14:48Speaker 1: it becomes a bit more of a problem.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Every person knows people that spend every single minute with
- 14:51Speaker 3: their partner. Yeah, it's been prioritizing yourself. My next golden
- 14:54Speaker 3: rule number two building a safe environment to be sad, angry,
- 15:00Speaker 3: say no, or just be able to express yourself with
- 15:03Speaker 3: whatever comes out and not be judged or judge said person.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 15:08Speaker 3: That's a good one and my first like semi relationship.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I've never had that, Like I was never able to
- 15:12Speaker 3: voice how I actually felt. I was always like hiding
- 15:14Speaker 3: behind these walls that maybe are built in my head
- 15:17Speaker 3: or we built together in our own heads.
- 15:18Speaker 2: We never really told each other how we really felt.
- 15:20Speaker 1: No, that's fuck, that's a good one. A And I
- 15:22Speaker 1: think that is a common problem of like maybe you
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't want to be a burden.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, And there's always assumptions in relationships when they shouldn't be.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And like you make someone feel a certain way and
- 15:32Speaker 3: you don't even realize, and you should be able to
- 15:35Speaker 3: voice that. And you also always need should like your
- 15:37Speaker 3: last one, validating your feelings, Like you should always have
- 15:39Speaker 3: a safe environment even if Beth feels silly when our
- 15:42Speaker 3: emotions are heightened, Like you should be like there should
- 15:44Speaker 3: be an environment where you can say whatever the fuck
- 15:46Speaker 3: she wants, even if.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It is silly or not. Yeah. I think it's also
- 15:48Speaker 1: a thing of like maybe trying to learn that you're
- 15:50Speaker 1: not going to take offense to everything.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Yeah, And like you don't have to agree on everything,
- 15:53Speaker 3: you just have to understand what their POV is. Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 3: Like honestly, Yeah, next golden rule number three, This is
- 16:00Speaker 3: probably the most important one. I just definitely broad spectrum
- 16:04Speaker 3: have similar core values and goals that finish around the
- 16:08Speaker 3: same line.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, Like, because I.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Feel like a lot of people just oh, I like you,
- 16:12Speaker 3: you like me. Let's dy didn't have sex, And then
- 16:14Speaker 3: a couple months or years and you're like, oh, so,
- 16:17Speaker 3: like you don't want to get married. Oh shit, that's
- 16:19Speaker 3: something I've always wanted, Like you don't I want two
- 16:23Speaker 3: kids and you don't even want one.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Oh damn fuck. That was based in nine months. Spoken
- 16:28Speaker 2: about that earlier.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and obviously there's more little ones that obviously all
- 16:34Speaker 3: add up.
- 16:35Speaker 2: But definitely talking about those things is really important.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I think the big ones are a big, very important
- 16:39Speaker 1: thing to bring up pretty early.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Next one is I reckon a big one that no
- 16:44Speaker 3: one talks about enjoying sex to a similar amount.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, so.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I reckon especially, Oh no, I reckon it's even both
- 16:53Speaker 3: people want to have sex like same sex drive, but
- 16:56Speaker 3: also enjoy sex to the same amount where some I'm
- 16:59Speaker 3: just saying a lot of dudes in my head anyway,
- 17:01Speaker 3: or like just want to fuck all the time and
- 17:04Speaker 3: we get di lemos all the time.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I can't match my boyfriend sex drive.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yah ya yea, yeah, Like I think you
- 17:08Speaker 3: should have that conversation earlier, like, so, how much you
- 17:10Speaker 3: like sex?
- 17:11Speaker 2: Honestly?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Like, and that's A big thing that some people can't
- 17:13Speaker 3: accept is that they don't match each other's sexuals and
- 17:17Speaker 3: that means they went maybe not right for each other.
- 17:19Speaker 2: They just see this. It's just.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I yeah, I agree. I think that also that little
- 17:25Speaker 1: honeymoon phase maybe go like I go into the honeymoon phase.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Everyone's knowing then yeah, yeah, like I know, like, oh.
- 17:32Speaker 1: This isn't last forever like all times of the day,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I know, yeah, like fucking I think like a big
- 17:38Speaker 1: scary thing that might scare people is how do I
- 17:43Speaker 1: even say this? And it's you're not always gonna like
- 17:49Speaker 1: you'll always be attracted to your partner. But like if
- 17:52Speaker 1: there's a time where, for some reason, in this certain instance,
- 17:55Speaker 1: like you're not turned on around them like that, it
- 17:58Speaker 1: just means like they it's not that doesn't mean that
- 18:00Speaker 1: you're not attracted to them, you know what I mean?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Because like there's times where you just aren't turned on. Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and you don't want to like force I mean for
- 18:10Speaker 1: a male, I won't lie, it's pretty easy to get
- 18:12Speaker 1: turned on.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you force it.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I just want to. I just
- 18:17Speaker 1: like I feel like reassurance and people like I wish
- 18:20Speaker 1: someone said it to me when I was younger, maybe
- 18:21Speaker 1: because like.
- 18:23Speaker 2: It's okay not to have sex.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Well, yeah, like it's okay to not fucking be horny
- 18:28Speaker 1: around them all the time. Like sex isn't everything, No,
- 18:31Speaker 1: it's not. Yeah, if you go about if you go
- 18:34Speaker 1: a few months without it, there's potentially an issue there.
- 18:36Speaker 3: But yeah, I know sex isn't everything. That's also a
- 18:39Speaker 3: great point you bring up, But I still think it's important.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, oh no, it's majorly yeah. Yeah.
- 18:45Speaker 3: And my last one God rule this is we've been
- 18:48Speaker 3: talking about this a little bit. Not to cast this
- 18:51Speaker 3: person as someone they're not. Don't put them on a pedestal,
- 18:55Speaker 3: and to live in the present moment with the person
- 18:58Speaker 3: who you're falling.
- 18:58Speaker 1: In love with the fuck yeah, let them grow. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: don't like, I'm not just gonna be what you wanted
- 19:04Speaker 1: to be all the time. A lot of people will
- 19:05Speaker 1: picture him or her as a wife or a husband. Yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 1: and then when when they fucking spend all your money
- 19:12Speaker 1: in the pokey, you're like, oh fuck, he's still gonna
- 19:15Speaker 1: be my husband. Like you just you just brush it
- 19:16Speaker 1: under the door mat and you're like, oh fuck, rather
- 19:20Speaker 1: than dealing with it right now in the present moment,
- 19:21Speaker 1: and thinking like maybe he's not right for maybe she's
- 19:24Speaker 1: not right for me, and she's not this person I've
- 19:25Speaker 1: built up this false pretense in my head.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, she or he's not really real. I've just made
- 19:30Speaker 2: them up.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, well we figured, we figured with a few dilemmas
- 19:34Speaker 1: that a lot of a lot of a.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Lot of things that happen is like either he or
- 19:41Speaker 2: her will.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Look at the partner and kind of understand that who
- 19:46Speaker 1: they are right now isn't obviously like wife or husband material. Yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: but like you said, they they think of them in
- 19:56Speaker 1: the future as that, and then they hope like that
- 19:58Speaker 1: they will turn into that. Yeah, but I mean, they're
- 20:00Speaker 1: their own person, and it's not overly. It's not really
- 20:03Speaker 1: their fault if they're not meeting your expectations, because there's
- 20:06Speaker 1: expectations like that, don't even.
- 20:07Speaker 3: There's a long way to go before he gets to
- 20:10Speaker 3: this thing you've made up in your head. Yeah, and
- 20:12Speaker 3: if he gets there, like fucking oath, but like he's
- 20:15Speaker 3: not there yet or she's not there yet.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Fuck that's a good one. Ah.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Honestly, like I for me, I often think I want
- 20:23Speaker 3: to marry my girlfriend in the future, but we're not
- 20:26Speaker 3: there yet.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Nah.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think of it as like my wife
- 20:28Speaker 2: right now.
- 20:29Speaker 1: No.
- 20:29Speaker 3: No, he's my perfect girlfriend, but she's not my wife,
- 20:32Speaker 3: And that funny A.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I feel like dating is like, you know, you can
- 20:36Speaker 1: talk about it as much as you want, and you
- 20:38Speaker 1: could learn about it as much as you want from
- 20:40Speaker 1: any professional or something like that. I don't know, but
- 20:42Speaker 1: like maybe one thing that like I want to accept
- 20:47Speaker 1: and I think I do accept it, is that you're
- 20:49Speaker 1: never really gonna have all the answers to all the problems.
- 20:54Speaker 3: And why do you think like guys don't talk about
- 20:56Speaker 3: it as much? Like I know for a fact, our
- 20:59Speaker 3: friends and have in depth conversations about the Golden rules
- 21:03Speaker 3: of dating.
- 21:04Speaker 1: No, and before podcast we probably wouldn't have either.
- 21:09Speaker 3: No, Like we talk about it a little bit more
- 21:10Speaker 3: Like we started this podcast, we were having conversations around
- 21:13Speaker 3: campfires traveling Australia and we had similar to this in
- 21:17Speaker 3: a certain extent, Yeah, but nowhere near as in depth.
- 21:20Speaker 3: But like, why don't guys talk about these sort of things?
- 21:23Speaker 3: And like, I feel like a lot more relationships would
- 21:25Speaker 3: benefit from their friendship groups talking about like these intimate
- 21:29Speaker 3: conversations about feelings and how we want to have a
- 21:32Speaker 3: really healthy relationship, but instead, like, I don't know, if
- 21:35Speaker 3: we just talk about fucking do she just talk about
- 21:38Speaker 3: the dumbest shit?
- 21:38Speaker 1: D even thinking about it? Now that you say that,
- 21:42Speaker 1: the amount of probably arguments that could have gone as
- 21:49Speaker 1: conversations instead of arguments when when I was younger with ex'es,
- 21:54Speaker 1: if I was to just like, maybe if it was
- 21:58Speaker 1: normal for guys to talk about that type of shit,
- 22:01Speaker 1: and then I would bring things up, and then all
- 22:03Speaker 1: it would have taken would for one person with a
- 22:06Speaker 1: sensible brain to be like, yeah, I mean, you're kind
- 22:08Speaker 1: of putting her on this like pedestal that she doesn't
- 22:09Speaker 1: even know about, and then I would have been like, oh, yeah,
- 22:12Speaker 1: you're right. And then there's probably like a fair few
- 22:15Speaker 1: arguments in my relationships that I can think of that
- 22:18Speaker 1: probably didn't even wouldn't have even happened, because maybe one
- 22:20Speaker 1: person would have just been like, oh, yeah, but you're
- 22:22Speaker 1: thinking like like that because you love her and you
- 22:25Speaker 1: want her to be a certain way to match you,
- 22:27Speaker 1: whereas you know she's her own person. Like if someone
- 22:29Speaker 1: had a sensible fucking response, Let's be real, but isn't
- 22:33Speaker 1: that yeah, like she did, do you reckon?
- 22:34Speaker 3: It's something to do with like the male independence power
- 22:37Speaker 3: trip that like we don't want to hear that from
- 22:40Speaker 3: other people.
- 22:40Speaker 2: We've got to figure it out ourselves.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be a pretty common thing that men
- 22:44Speaker 1: don't want to accept. Because I'm looking, that's also showing
- 22:48Speaker 1: a bit of weakness.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, like I'm looking. I've definitely done things in the past.
- 22:50Speaker 3: But like a lot of my friends relationships, I could
- 22:52Speaker 3: have said, like you don't have any independent like whatever
- 22:55Speaker 3: a your independence man, eh, Like that's really important in
- 22:58Speaker 3: a relationship.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I found that the only time we ever talked to
- 23:02Speaker 1: a friend about their relationship is if it's gotten so
- 23:04Speaker 1: toxic that we notice, Yeah, and then everyone kind of
- 23:07Speaker 1: says something, but I shouldn't get to that.
- 23:10Speaker 2: We're going off the last episode two No One.
- 23:12Speaker 3: He's taught how to love and like if we had
- 23:14Speaker 3: more conversations about how to love properly and like we
- 23:17Speaker 3: shared Jake says, I bought my girlfriend flowers and I
- 23:21Speaker 3: open a car door every time we go, and she
- 23:22Speaker 3: loves it. Like it's such a healthy thing through a relationship.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Like we're the only two dudes you've probably fucking say
- 23:27Speaker 3: that true, yeah, and not say it in yeah, like
- 23:33Speaker 3: we never talk you like you said in another episode,
- 23:34Speaker 3: we never talk about our relationship. It's in a positive light.
- 23:36Speaker 3: It's only ever if it's toxic or in a bad way.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I think it's the time to like normalize, especially with
- 23:41Speaker 3: our other friends who are more manly than us. Yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 3: the like we should tell them about the good things
- 23:45Speaker 3: that we do, and like, yeah, say how much you love.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Her, bring up all the good things. If you're in
- 23:50Speaker 1: a girlfriendship group that doesn't do it, say how much
- 23:52Speaker 1: you love your boyfriend, bring up all the good things.
- 23:54Speaker 1: So then when you bring up the bad they they're
- 23:56Speaker 1: not totally biased towards you, because, yeah, your boyfriend's a human,
- 23:58Speaker 1: your girlfriend's just a human, and they're all was fucking
- 24:00Speaker 1: living for the first time.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I'll tell you one thing I'm talking about.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Finished this segment on I did one think good thing
- 24:05Speaker 3: that I think my girlfriend really appreciated.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yesterday, He's going for a run. She's really struggling with
- 24:09Speaker 2: the kilometers.
- 24:09Speaker 3: She's training for one hundred kilometers, struggling and having a
- 24:12Speaker 3: few manty bees here and there, as you would, And
- 24:14Speaker 3: she went for a running.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I was driving home. I was like fuck, I surprised.
- 24:16Speaker 3: And when she was running, when I bought her flowers
- 24:18Speaker 3: and a little chocolate to put in the fridge, little
- 24:21Speaker 3: chocolate lava cake actually carb hit yeah, and I read
- 24:23Speaker 3: a little card proudy pooky checked it and make her
- 24:25Speaker 3: feel great. Checked the freezer and check the freezer. Chocolate
- 24:30Speaker 3: lava cake and like she loved it, and she said,
- 24:32Speaker 3: I appreciate you, and like, I think that after a
- 24:34Speaker 3: shitty run, she's been really sad about the maun kilometers,
- 24:36Speaker 3: the ruling one.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, little things like that, I'll say something bad that
- 24:41Speaker 2: I do. That's good, that's good.
- 24:43Speaker 3: See, I'll open up about the bad thing before you
- 24:45Speaker 3: were about to outdo me.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Then I will not be out doing you.
- 24:48Speaker 1: As I said said. You know, I like to open
- 24:49Speaker 1: the car door for my girlfriend Beth. I like to
- 24:53Speaker 1: give her flowers when I can, but I still do
- 24:56Speaker 1: give her shit. And when we went away one weekend,
- 25:00Speaker 1: she asked me to get her a glass of water,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and I said, you got two legs, get your own water.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And let's be real.
- 25:09Speaker 2: If she said no, no, no, I would have went
- 25:12Speaker 2: and got it.
- 25:12Speaker 1: But she went and got it.
- 25:15Speaker 2: And then later that day I think I asked her
- 25:17Speaker 2: for something.
- 25:17Speaker 1: She was like, you got two legs. I was like, yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: nice joke, fucking material.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so I do. Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Look, and maybe next time I'll fill up my girlfriend's
- 25:27Speaker 3: water bottle when she asks.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Maybe now that you've told me that.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that was good.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Okay, I've got a I've got a synopsis synopsis.
- 25:46Speaker 2: It's been a minute.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You've got a TV show synopsis for you. We haven't
- 25:48Speaker 1: done with ages, and I'm like semi stressed about giving
- 25:51Speaker 1: this synopsis because I want the synopsis to give, like,
- 25:55Speaker 1: do the show justice.
- 25:56Speaker 2: It's a good show.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I will start off with.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It's a show, bro, it's a show.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:04Speaker 2: For reference, back in the day, Jake is a movie boy.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I used to love them. He used to come every
- 26:09Speaker 2: week with a new movie. Yeah yeah, for his research.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Okay.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I wasn't watching Netflix for a while. Okay.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And then.
- 26:24Speaker 1: A week ago I went out for dinner with my
- 26:27Speaker 1: girlfriend Beth, her best friend Casey, and we went and
- 26:32Speaker 1: got oh my god, have you I won't talk about it.
- 26:35Speaker 1: We won't got food. Yeah. I was gonna tell you
- 26:36Speaker 1: about the food, but fuck too long, And so Casey
- 26:41Speaker 1: actually suggested the show, and it kind of went through
- 26:43Speaker 1: one ear and out of the other. Yeah, I thought
- 26:47Speaker 1: that I wasn't listening to her, but I was just
- 26:49Speaker 1: like but I was like yeah, and she suggested it
- 26:51Speaker 1: because podcasting isn't it And she said it was really good.
- 26:55Speaker 1: But then we also got a post in the Facebook
- 26:58Speaker 1: group asking, really asking if we'd watched it, So thank you, Casey.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I would just want to give her some credit, not
- 27:06Speaker 1: that she's listening, but also the person.
- 27:07Speaker 2: What's the show man?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Tell me the show?
- 27:09Speaker 2: What's called Nobody Wants This? Nobody Wants This?
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's called Nobody Wants This. It's got starring Adam Brody, Kristen,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Kirsten Bell, Kristen Bell, Dak Shepherd's wife mate, your Favorite
- 27:21Speaker 1: your favorite podcast a Dak Shepherd, and so I wanted
- 27:25Speaker 1: to talk about I'm sure so many of the go
- 27:27Speaker 1: the post listening I've watched this, Like I don't want
- 27:29Speaker 1: to give anything away, okay, I but haven't seen a
- 27:32Speaker 1: single thing I will, Okay. What I want to say
- 27:35Speaker 1: is they So Kristen Bell is one of the stars,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and her and her sister have a podcast in the show,
- 27:41Speaker 1: and the podcast is called Nobody Wants This. Okay, good name.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It's actually a good name. Like there is definitely going
- 27:47Speaker 1: to be a podcast called Nobody Wants This Now, by
- 27:48Speaker 1: the way, and I'll probably listen to it.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Or maybe Kirstin Bell her husband fucking produces shit.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Maybe she's in STARTE don't care whatever, But okay, first off,
- 27:59Speaker 1: the person that asked in the Facebook group said, I
- 28:01Speaker 1: want to know what it was, like, how did they
- 28:02Speaker 1: depict podcasting? How like did you do you guys experience
- 28:05Speaker 1: what they experienced? And is it at all accurate?
- 28:08Speaker 2: Probably really good.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That's what I want to talk about first. Okay, so
- 28:13Speaker 1: first things first. One thing I really enjoyed and I
- 28:17Speaker 1: was very happy about is that they didn't actually show
- 28:19Speaker 1: very much podcasting because I was like, how did how
- 28:22Speaker 1: are you going to portray it? Like every there was
- 28:25Speaker 1: maybe there's ten episodes. They are all twenty five minutes,
- 28:27Speaker 1: which I loved because like it was a good little
- 28:29Speaker 1: taste to get back into watching TV.
- 28:31Speaker 2: And it was like, have you finished it?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah? Finished, I've watched all ten episodes twenty five minutes,
- 28:37Speaker 1: so it wasn't that long.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Hi, I'm proud of you for working.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Thank you. I was like, this is work. I'm getting
- 28:41Speaker 1: paid to do this, and so uh, of all ten
- 28:48Speaker 1: episodes that I didn't even think every episode had a
- 28:51Speaker 1: scene of podcasting. That was probably seven scenes of like
- 28:53Speaker 1: a bit of a segment of a podcast. So they
- 28:56Speaker 1: didn't overdo it, like because they had to fake it obviously,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but I think they did a great job not making it.
- 29:01Speaker 1: But what was happening with the girls with their podcast
- 29:05Speaker 1: is they are in a stage that we are in.
- 29:10Speaker 1: So I really related to it in a sense of
- 29:13Speaker 1: So they have a manager and the podcast is about
- 29:17Speaker 1: sex love relationships okay from two women though, and they
- 29:22Speaker 1: get some guests on but you don't really see it,
- 29:24Speaker 1: but they do that, so it's not the same podcast.
- 29:25Speaker 1: But they are currently the process of being signed, which.
- 29:31Speaker 2: We were not.
- 29:32Speaker 1: We're not like in the process. We're just like we
- 29:34Speaker 1: we talk to people, we have meetings and stuff. But
- 29:38Speaker 1: I will say in the show, with the meetings they had,
- 29:43Speaker 1: they were we haven't experienced this, but some of the
- 29:48Speaker 1: some of the like execs or whatever that they were
- 29:50Speaker 1: talking to, we're trying to kind of make them change
- 29:54Speaker 1: their show. Oh, which we haven't experienced yet. All we've
- 29:59Speaker 1: experienced is people wanting us to lean in.
- 30:01Speaker 3: We've also done put our foot down in most of
- 30:04Speaker 3: these meetings and said we know what we wanted.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yes, we like what we do, yes, because there could
- 30:10Speaker 2: be also a lot of their meetings with execs were
- 30:15Speaker 2: in person.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Doesn't happen.
- 30:17Speaker 2: It's all zoom, guys, Yeah, you know, it's all zoom.
- 30:21Speaker 1: And also one thing I found very funny that they
- 30:24Speaker 1: got quite accurate was her and her sister have some
- 30:26Speaker 1: scenes where they'll go just it, don't tell me Saven
- 30:29Speaker 1: for the podcast, which.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Is very relatable. When me and Jack lived together, we
- 30:34Speaker 2: were doing that fucking daily.
- 30:35Speaker 1: So they got that quite correct, if you guys wanted
- 30:37Speaker 1: to know. One thing they didn't get very correct unless
- 30:42Speaker 1: what they were trying to depict was that their podcast
- 30:44Speaker 1: already later made a lot of money. Was there was
- 30:48Speaker 1: really it's obviously a TV show, But like they it
- 30:52Speaker 1: was it looked like they were producing the whole thing themselves.
- 30:55Speaker 1: They had the gear, they were doing it in their
- 30:57Speaker 1: their lounge room, a little Neon sign, but like they
- 31:01Speaker 1: didn't show any of the work that went into it.
- 31:03Speaker 1: They made podcasting look very very easy, and not that
- 31:06Speaker 1: it's like we love it, but I will say that there.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Is work that goes into it a lot behind the
- 31:12Speaker 3: scenes work. Well, most podcasts that you probably listen to
- 31:16Speaker 3: have teams of people who think of the content for
- 31:20Speaker 3: the two people talking about it yep, and then post
- 31:22Speaker 3: production have a couple of editors who edit the whole
- 31:25Speaker 3: thing for yep.
- 31:28Speaker 1: So that's what I'm assuming. They had to pick it
- 31:29Speaker 1: in on this show, which we don't have us personally,
- 31:31Speaker 1: we produce and edit everything, which we would love to
- 31:34Speaker 1: let go of one day, Yeah, to focus more on content.
- 31:37Speaker 1: But she did. There was a scene actually where where
- 31:40Speaker 1: the guy says, don't you do a lot of research
- 31:42Speaker 1: for the show, and she goes, well, my manager does it,
- 31:45Speaker 1: and then she sends me the note and I kind
- 31:46Speaker 1: of just choose the things I like. So maybe they
- 31:48Speaker 1: are like that to be fair, So maybe like some
- 31:50Speaker 1: people's podcasting life is different to ours, where they don't
- 31:52Speaker 1: work all week and then they do a one hour
- 31:54Speaker 1: show and then they're sweet. So they could have got
- 31:57Speaker 1: it accurate for some, but for us it was not accurate.
- 31:59Speaker 3: I think it's accurate for people who are influencers already, yes,
- 32:03Speaker 3: and then they started a podcast.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Okay, So for anyone asking that question, that's how I
- 32:06Speaker 1: feel about the podcasting side.
- 32:08Speaker 2: They did good and there wasn't much podcasting, which I loved.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Okay. Secondly, Addie M, if you miss that giddy feeling
- 32:21Speaker 1: of when you were first talking to your girlfriend.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Watch this fucking show.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Really, I'm telling you. I was sitting there kicking my feet, giggling,
- 32:29Speaker 1: covering my mouth.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I couldn't stop smiling, making me want to watch it bad.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You have to watch this show, Okay. Tonight, what I
- 32:39Speaker 1: could think about was, Okay, this isn't really giving anything
- 32:42Speaker 1: away because you understand this is going to happen, all right.
- 32:46Speaker 1: They produce single handedly the best first kiss scene in
- 32:52Speaker 1: a show I've ever watched, Really, bro I wanted my
- 32:57Speaker 1: girlfriend there with me, and I just wanted.
- 33:00Speaker 2: To I want to reenact.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I can't. Oh fuck, do you.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Want to reenact it?
- 33:07Speaker 1: We'll turn the camera.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Picture of it, okay, so be ready for that.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I will now go with the other character that is
- 33:18Speaker 1: the love interest, and I'm really going late and I'm
- 33:22Speaker 1: not giving anything away here because I don't want to.
- 33:24Speaker 1: So there's a spite. His character is first of all, rugged, sexy. Okay,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I will Sayjack, skinny lumberjack. When you first see him
- 33:42Speaker 1: you're like mm hmmm. And then his personality comes out
- 33:46Speaker 1: and the amount of money I would pay to be
- 33:48Speaker 1: that fucking smooth with women. I know it's a written
- 33:51Speaker 1: TV show and he's probably not like that in real
- 33:53Speaker 1: life and nobody is, but the amount of money, it's
- 33:55Speaker 1: a fucking Harvey Specter.
- 33:57Speaker 2: But I don't know wholesome, you know what I'm saying.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Fuck man, it's crazy shit. But he is a rabbi,
- 34:09Speaker 1: which is a Jewish religion thing. He's a rabbi of
- 34:13Speaker 1: a temple, which is like their church, that's temple. I
- 34:17Speaker 1: can't talk about how accurately they depicted Judaism because I'm
- 34:20Speaker 1: not Jewish. I would love to know from someone that
- 34:23Speaker 1: is Jewish. All I know is there was a slight
- 34:26Speaker 1: bit of feedback about how they made all the Jewish
- 34:29Speaker 1: women seem like bitches. Yeah, and I think some of
- 34:32Speaker 1: the only feed like feedback they got was that they're
- 34:34Speaker 1: not that bitchy. But they really really got a very
- 34:40Speaker 1: very accurate Okay, I'm gonna finish on this because I
- 34:43Speaker 1: want you to watch it and then we can talk
- 34:44Speaker 1: about it together and give spoiler alerts and talk about
- 34:46Speaker 1: it together. Because so another thing that they got so
- 34:50Speaker 1: fucking insanely accurate. Is the spiraling that you do when
- 35:01Speaker 1: they haven't maybe replied to a text, or the spiraling
- 35:05Speaker 1: that you do of when your sister or your brother
- 35:08Speaker 1: or a good friend of yours has an opinion about
- 35:11Speaker 1: the person you're seeing the spiral.
- 35:13Speaker 2: It was fucking crazy accurate. Sh that's cool, crazy accurate.
- 35:17Speaker 1: There's some cringey scenes that I was like, you know,
- 35:20Speaker 1: it's part.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Of life, yet that's the element.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I know.
- 35:24Speaker 2: It just made it. I just was.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I was binging the shit out of it. And oh shit,
- 35:29Speaker 1: I don't even I just I'm saying this to trying
- 35:31Speaker 1: and people to watch it, which they'll pay me for this.
- 35:33Speaker 1: But once you watch this, Brom, we're giving spoilerlets and
- 35:36Speaker 1: we're going into it, okay, because I've never felt more
- 35:38Speaker 1: giddy watching the show in my life.
- 35:41Speaker 2: They make you love the brother really he is hilarious. Okay,
- 35:52Speaker 2: and yeah, I want to watch it.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Yea, one hundred percent you have to watch it.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Talking about inside knowledge on like podcast thing, well maybe
- 36:01Speaker 3: live it on this one tip. Probably you didn't know
- 36:04Speaker 3: all your favorite podcasters who do movie synopsis get the
- 36:09Speaker 3: TVC series early and get paid to promote it. Yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 3: so if you're here and like, oh, like I don't
- 36:16Speaker 3: know what's just what's it's called?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Again?
- 36:18Speaker 1: This is God nobody wants?
- 36:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeahy say it came out today and then your
- 36:21Speaker 3: favorite podcast is doing a full synopsis on it. He
- 36:23Speaker 3: probably got it two weeks ago and he's getting paid
- 36:25Speaker 3: to promote it. This is coming from the goodness of
- 36:27Speaker 3: Jake's heart. This is coming from the good from my heart.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Because you guys asked and yeah, that was my So
- 36:31Speaker 1: that's my opinion on the accuracy of the podcasting. I
- 36:33Speaker 1: want you to listen, let me know what you think,
- 36:34Speaker 1: because I've I watched it all very quickly, so there
- 36:36Speaker 1: was probably a lot I left out. Yeah, they the depiction,
- 36:39Speaker 1: like the accuracy on what it's like to start seeing
- 36:41Speaker 1: someone new, and the obsession and the limerens and the
- 36:45Speaker 1: and the and the judginess from people and the different
- 36:48Speaker 1: types of families, meddling, and like, I really want to
- 36:51Speaker 1: know how accurate they got the judaism thing. I really
- 36:53Speaker 1: want to know because it was very intense and oh
- 36:56Speaker 1: is there anything else? Oh that first kiss.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Over one thing?
- 36:59Speaker 3: I want to say the Jake Jake came to me
- 37:01Speaker 3: about six months ago with the idea to have a
- 37:04Speaker 3: TV Netflix series about podcasting. Because it hasn't happened yet. Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 3: this is probably being recorded in the background. When he
- 37:09Speaker 3: had this idea, I was like, Fuck, that's a good idea.
- 37:13Speaker 2: And they did it. They did it good, and they
- 37:15Speaker 2: honestly did a good job. They did a great job.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And last thing that I will say is it obviously
- 37:23Speaker 1: was fine in this scenario because both the co stars
- 37:26Speaker 1: are married two actors. Dax Shepherd is an actor and
- 37:30Speaker 1: Adam Brady is married to one of the main characters
- 37:32Speaker 1: of Gossip Girl. Oh really okay, who's very attractive and Okay,
- 37:40Speaker 1: I just don't understand how a married person can be
- 37:45Speaker 1: okay with the intense love that they that they that
- 37:51Speaker 1: they do in this show, the Kissing bro Like, you
- 37:55Speaker 1: couldn't watch it. I would be like, look, you're getting
- 37:59Speaker 1: a payday fair, this is your profession.
- 38:01Speaker 2: That does bring up a good point, like where's the line?
- 38:04Speaker 1: Where is the line at the point of like because
- 38:06Speaker 1: also another thing is they're both very successful before this show.
- 38:10Speaker 2: They don't need this show.
- 38:11Speaker 1: They're probably doing it because it's a good opportunity. It's
- 38:12Speaker 1: something with Netflix. It's probably a good payday.
- 38:14Speaker 2: They love the writing, but they don't.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Need the show.
- 38:17Speaker 2: But is it playing on your insecurities? I don't know,
- 38:22Speaker 2: But is it an insecurity that I don't.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Want my fucking wife kissing someone else intensely work? I know,
- 38:33Speaker 1: but think about it.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I think you brought up a great point that, like,
- 38:38Speaker 3: because the partners are actors, they probably know the difference
- 38:41Speaker 3: between acting and you see it as intimate connection, but
- 38:43Speaker 3: they see it.
- 38:44Speaker 2: As like good save guys.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Yes, a good point.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I just put my I've always never understood jokes like
- 38:50Speaker 3: how do dudes do those scenes about getting bonus or
- 38:53Speaker 3: they just like the tape it to their undies before
- 38:56Speaker 3: they start us.
- 38:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 38:57Speaker 1: There was like really the good thing about this one
- 38:58Speaker 1: was that there was all just a load of kissing
- 39:00Speaker 1: scenes and then it was like you knew they had
- 39:01Speaker 1: just had sex, but they would just see in they.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Get excited when I'm doing both those things.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Like an attractive But I'll end it on this is
- 39:12Speaker 1: off topic. This is talking about where you were talking
- 39:14Speaker 1: about just then. Nicole Kidman. Yeah, big actor, biggest trod actor, huge,
- 39:19Speaker 1: massive actor. She's doing a current show where there's a
- 39:22Speaker 1: lot of sex scenes, and apparently she made a comment
- 39:25Speaker 1: to the press or something on somewhere she's like, she goes,
- 39:29Speaker 1: she's a married woman, by the way, and she starts
- 39:32Speaker 1: talking about like, I can't stop having orgasms during these
- 39:37Speaker 1: sex scenes. I didn't even think that would be an issue.
- 39:42Speaker 1: But also what that says is that either they're actually
- 39:46Speaker 1: having sex or that he does have a boner and
- 39:49Speaker 1: it's very much rubbing up on the area unless she
- 39:53Speaker 1: can just orgasm like by thinking of stuff. And that's
- 39:55Speaker 1: just not what I don't know.
- 39:56Speaker 2: But because she's.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Married, that also takes away in my part where she's
- 39:59Speaker 3: not acting because she's actually feeling it.
- 40:02Speaker 1: She's dedicated to the craft.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Yeah, she's enveloped by the seeds.
- 40:07Speaker 1: But yeah, so that's that's my synopsis without any spoilers.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I want Addie to watch it. Once you watch it,
- 40:12Speaker 1: I think you will binge it if you like it.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I will say the first like, when you watch it, yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 1: Jack left heaps out, So when you give for the
- 40:20Speaker 1: first episode and I think you'll love it after.
- 40:21Speaker 2: That, I'll come back let everyone know.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it won't take you long. Sweet, Okay, thank you
- 40:33Speaker 1: very much for listening, guys.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I would like to read one more page from how
- 40:39Speaker 1: to Piss Men Off.
- 40:40Speaker 2: We would like to piss some men off right now.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to read the small blurb first. My
- 40:46Speaker 1: roommate used this on me once and I had to
- 40:49Speaker 1: immediately turn my head away so she couldn't see the
- 40:52Speaker 1: tears coming from my eyes. Quote you say to him,
- 40:58Speaker 1: I was thinking about your posture the other day.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Damn, this would get me. Hey, this would get me.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Make it sound like the prelude to an intervention. Oh
- 41:10Speaker 2: that b How good is that I'm using that? Hey,
- 41:15Speaker 2: it's a good one. I have a bad posture to
- 41:17Speaker 2: I get hunch. Just I don't even know I belave
- 41:19Speaker 2: it on my height, but I have a hunch.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I get bad posture too, And I've had a little
- 41:24Speaker 1: insecurity about it ever since. We posted a story about
- 41:27Speaker 1: something and you and I were both in it, and
- 41:29Speaker 1: then one of the comments of the stories was like, sorry,
- 41:34Speaker 1: the hunch has given me an ick, babe, And you
- 41:36Speaker 1: were standing up straight and I was hunting, so I
- 41:38Speaker 1: know it was about it, and so now I'm.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Just like, oh, fuck for funny you bring it up
- 41:42Speaker 2: to comparing you to me.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Someone came up to me in real life and was
- 41:46Speaker 3: talking about the pod and then met you before, and
- 41:48Speaker 3: they said, he's bigger than I thought he.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Was in person.
- 41:52Speaker 1: He's bigger in person.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Yeah, he's bigger in person. And he said it's because
- 41:56Speaker 2: I'm next to you and make you look small.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Like.
- 42:00Speaker 2: So here's the thing is, I think I would prefer
- 42:05Speaker 2: to be uh.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I would prefer people to be like, oh, you're taller
- 42:10Speaker 1: than I thought, yeah, instead of being like, oh you're
- 42:13Speaker 1: shorter than I thought. That would hurt.
- 42:15Speaker 3: They also they said it was like, maybe you're extremities
- 42:17Speaker 3: because you like got big forearms and stuff.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know, it might look like you're a
- 42:20Speaker 2: bit of a short stumpy guy, might.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Start sitting on my knees or something. And I was
- 42:23Speaker 1: just like, eh, my.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Heart beats him again. Well, thank you everybody. We love you,
- 42:30Speaker 2: love you,
