• 0:07
SPEAKER_00: Let me first tell you this.
• 0:08
SPEAKER_00: This is what not surprises anybody today, because you're gonna get 100 degrees, which means Mega Heat Dome 2.0.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_01: Also, did you know I always forget about that last part?
• 0:20
SPEAKER_01: Did you know that this is not just here?
• 0:24
SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be all the way from Los Angeles to Boston.
• 0:29
  SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
• 0:29
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 0:30
  unknown: Whoa.
• 0:31
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_00: Alright, so we're in the inferno today.
• 0:33
SPEAKER_00: Do what you can to stay cool or you know, figure it out from there.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this this interest this is interesting to me.
• 0:40
SPEAKER_00: I was very surprised at this decision.
• 0:43
SPEAKER_00: So we are coming up on Gavin's birthday in 16 days.
• 0:46
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, he's gonna be 12, right?
• 0:48
  SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be 12, yep.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_00: Now, I know Big Dog, uh, right?
• 0:52
SPEAKER_00: I know that uh uh he is uh he's got a group of friends.
• 0:57
SPEAKER_00: There are some people that we know that are you know wanna be involved with his birthday.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_00: And that's great.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_00: He was pretty clear he did not want to do the pool party this year and then back to the house.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_00: You know, I get that.
• 1:10
SPEAKER_00: We've done that the past couple years.
• 1:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, change it up.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_00: It's a great way to do that.
• 1:14
SPEAKER_00: So then we start looking in the the options of changing it up.
• 1:18
SPEAKER_00: And the options were uh, do we want to do a movie theater package?
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: And in this case, I would normally love to go do the drive-in.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_00: The problem is I don't want to take a bunch of 12-year-olds home at what would be midnight.
• 1:31
SPEAKER_00: Well, and losing one in the dark?
• 1:33
  SPEAKER_00: You'll never find them.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, why does it have to go so bad?
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lose anybody.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_01: Well, and I was also thinking if they went to the bathroom and all of a sudden they got hit.
• 1:41
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_01: I just went like Oh my god! This is not this is why I don't have children because I worry too much about things like that happening.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: No, this is like on the borderline of stop watching these podcasts where everything bad happens.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_00: You're sitting in a car with a couple people watching a movie.
• 1:54
  SPEAKER_00: That's it.
• 1:55
  SPEAKER_00: Want a big popcorn?
• 1:56
SPEAKER_00: Let's go see our friends in the concession stand.
• 1:58
  SPEAKER_00: Nobody's getting hit.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: Well, in my world it is.
• 2:00
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, stop.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: Uh so it was, but I didn't want to do the drive-in for that.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_00: I love the drive-in.
• 2:05
  SPEAKER_00: They're great.
• 2:05
SPEAKER_00: Like, oh man, drive-in people love you.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: Except you have the two worst movies going on this weekend.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_01: They have I saw that Supergirl Moana.
• 2:13
SPEAKER_01: Oh my God, do you want to make$5?
• 2:15
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 2:15
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_01: You might as well open it up for free because both those movies are total turds.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_01: Or bring back the old classics.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_01: That's here nor there.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_00: Not their fault drive-in.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_00: I know somebody else decides that.
• 2:24
SPEAKER_00: So it would-it would be a movie theater.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: So in this case, it'd be like a regal.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_00: I do not know what the Palace Theater does.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_00: So I wish I knew, and I should find this out.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: Either way, it's not necessarily the least expensive of birthday plans.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_00: Okay, because this is the whole theater?
• 2:41
  SPEAKER_00: No, God, I can't afford that.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_00: This would be uh a couple rows and you get a birthday party room.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_00: And if the Regal Cinemas in the Arnett Mall could ever get around to calling Tiffany back, like you said you would on Saturday, and you still haven't, that'd be great.
• 2:55
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 2:55
SPEAKER_00: Is there a trend going on today on the show?
• 2:57
  SPEAKER_00: There is.
• 2:58
SPEAKER_00: So uh, but either way, that we were looking at that.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_00: And it just so happens the new Spider-Man movie comes out the weekend of his birthday.
• 3:06
  SPEAKER_01: Nice.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_00: He likes the Spider-Man, right?
• 3:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_00: That makes me sound old when I said he likes the Spider-Man.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_00: So it's the way that I uh the way that I phrase it, right?
• 3:16
SPEAKER_00: So there was that, but then we found out that Tiffany gets a nice hearty discount to Darien Lake by working for Guthrie.
• 3:25
  SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_00: So You said it became the question, Gavin, you have a choice.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_00: Would you like to bring, let's say up to 10 friends max for the movie theater because you still gotta buy tickets, do the math.
• 3:39
  SPEAKER_01: Oh God.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_01: No, the the tickets are like 20 bucks.
• 3:42
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_00: Uh so would you rather do that?
• 3:45
  SPEAKER_00: 10 friends.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_01: How about let's pick five?
• 3:47
  SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: We'll probably do an earlier showing.
• 3:50
  SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna do a seven o'clock, eight o'clock prime showing.
• 3:53
SPEAKER_00: It it would be probably 18 bucks.
• 3:55
  SPEAKER_00: Okay,$18.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: So it was do you want to do that?
• 3:59
SPEAKER_00: Or would you like to bring, like, say, three or four of your friends with you?
• 4:04
  SPEAKER_00: So that's a nice group.
• 4:06
SPEAKER_00: And we'll take you to Darien Lake.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm gonna tell you why I bet you he picked Darien.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_01: It's very adult, very like coming of age.
• 4:15
  SPEAKER_01: Uh I hadn't thought about it.
• 4:17
SPEAKER_01: When you get to kind of explore, like, yeah, you're around, you and Tiffany are around, and Lydia's there too, I'm sure.
• 4:22
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_01: But when you get to kind of go over here on this ride and this ride, and it's like, see a dad, see a loser, then I think See a loser.
• 4:32
  SPEAKER_01: I think I don't know if that's what he picked, but that's what I would pick.
• 4:36
  SPEAKER_00: All right.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_00: Before I tell you what he picked, how about you guys to text me?
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_00: What would you do?
• 4:40
SPEAKER_00: Would you if you if you had the choice?
• 4:42
  SPEAKER_00: This is okay now.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: For a Darien, 10 at the movie theater.
• 4:46
  SPEAKER_00: Up to 10.
• 4:47
  SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_00: All right, we may have to reel that back in.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be more like seven.
• 4:51
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm let me think here really quick.
• 4:53
unknown: One, two, three, four, five, six.
• 4:55
SPEAKER_00: I could probably get away with seven.
• 4:56
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_00: All right, for a Darien.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_00: This might save me, what, 40 bucks?
• 5:00
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_01: For a Darien, seven at the theater.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_01: Which one would you pick?
• 5:04
  SPEAKER_00: Which would you do?
• 5:05
  SPEAKER_00: Which would you do?
• 5:06
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it doesn't matter what your age is.
• 5:07
  SPEAKER_00: So you're going Darien.
• 5:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 5:09
SPEAKER_00: All right, you guys text us.
• 5:10
SPEAKER_00: You know Wink one oh six app, Twin Tears Magic, My Radio Jams.
• 5:13
SPEAKER_00: I'll let you know in a minute what he picked, but I want to see what you guys would have picked with that choice.
• 5:18
